The Sofitel staff were so incredible with this situation, before we had even arrived they had organised accommodation at a nearby hotel at half price and completely comped the 3rd night at the Sofitel itself. Not only that but they went out of their way to hand deliver a charcuterie board and a lovely bottle of champagne at our replacement accommodation as a an apology. When we finally did get to the Sofitel on our third night, they kindly came to our other hotel to hand collect our bags and transfer them for us. A second charcuterie board and sparkling wine were also complimentary along with breakfast and dinner too. The hotel itself was lovely, we had one of the newly renovated rooms which are gorgeous and very nicely appointed. We have already booked another stay as 1 night was not enough! From an unfortunate situation, the staff, Romanta and Michael in particular were incredibly kind and apologetic for the room issue. Very much looking forward to returning.

(원문) We had high hopes for Tingirana, mostly due to the mere price you pay and that you would expect a certain standard in return. Unfortunately, we experienced serval disappointments throughout our stay. The first being the size of the studio rooms. Before booking, I contacted Tingirana to discuss the sizing of the room as the studio was all they had available to book, and we were travelling with our almost 2 year old daughter. I queried whether the room was big enough for a portable cot, to which they confirmed it was. That was an absolute stretch - the rooms are tiny. We had to push aside the dining table and stack the chairs (meaning we couldn’t really use them throughout our stay) to make sufficient room for the cot. And even then the room was unbearably small . With two adults and a child travelling, there is a complete lack of space for luggage even if you were to unpack into the small wardrobe available. I wish we had of been better informed so that we could have booked somewhere more appropriate. I don’t think they should be advising that these rooms are suitable for anyone other than singles or couples only. There was a power outage on one day, to which we were left without air conditioning on a 35 degree day and had to climb three flights of stairs to access our room, whilst I was in a moon boot from having had surgery the week prior. It seems odd that a place such as this wouldn’t have back up generators to keep basic functions and amenities available for guests during such times. I ordered one drink by the pool which took around 45 minutes to arrive whilst we watched other guests get multiple drinks in that time, only to bring out the incorrect drink and no apology or explanation for the delay whatsoever. But of most concern was the cleanliness of the rooms. It appears they haven’t had a deep clean in some time, the shower area had visible build up and mould and there were dust balls falling from the bathroom ceiling, not ideal when you have a toddler running around that puts things in her mouth. To make matters worse, we had three cockroaches in our room. We sucked it up for the first two but on the third, I notified reception. They offered a ‘deep clean’ or to move us to a different but equivalent room which we declined due to the hassle of having to move our things with a small child. The deep clean was hardly noticeable. They did bring us a bottle of champagne as an apology and said notes will be left on file to discuss any compensation with management upon check out. No conversation was had until I initiated it, and was met with nothing other than ‘we’re sorry that was your experience’ and ‘we would be happy to offer you a discount should you choose to stay with us again next time’. Our stay included free breakfast but don’t be fooled - breakfast included a handful of yoghurt and muesli/fruit cups and some pastries and unless you were there waiting at 6:30-7am, you missed out. There was no replenishing of this and we were required to buy breakfast out a lot of the time. Despite being a ‘fully booked’ resort, they certainly did not cater as such. We booked a Hastings Suite ($300 midweek) and the room was on the 1st floor - room 117 to be exact - and its like staying in a very noisy cave! It's right next to the driveway so you get all the p.m. and a.m. noise of Hastings St ( cars coming/going, garbage trucks) plus the lighting in the room is virtually non existent. Friends checked in at the same time (same room type) and were given a room on a higher floor and had a better experience. Hotel wasn't full so why would you put one couple on a higher floor and put another couple in the dungeon? Tried to book a third stay at short notice but sadly (for us) Noosa Hinterland Retreat was fully booked. And it’s easy to see why! The accommodation was sensational. It was a combination of the decorating, cleanliness, serene outlook and overall tranquil atmosphere that made it stand out. The first time I stayed I arrived travel weary. The prospect of going out to get food was not appealing. Unexpectedly, delicious, healthy snacks (smoked salmon, boiled eggs, fruit, veggies, yoghurt, cereal, fresh milk and juice) were all provided in the kitchenette. The next stay we had a different gorgeous room and, again, healthy snacks. We were also travelling with two small dogs and were very fortunate to have found accommodation that accepted them. Russ is an outstanding host and I have wanted to leave a review for some time. We will definitely book ahead to secure accommodation here in a few months time and already look forward to our stay!

The room was really well equipped with everything we could need and felt really luxurious. My previous stays have been for health seminars and workshops of which they also host and facilitate. Hence why I have not previously reviewed this venue, it would not have been fair. However, being recently married, my wife and I thought that retreating to the beautiful Noosa hinterlands would be a perfect honeymoon and oasis getaway. We opted for the gold room, woke up each morning to a gorgeous breakfast surrounded by rainforest and nature in a modern venue. This was followed by a quality bodywork session each morning, after which we explored local shops, markets and other offerings from Noosa and surrounds.
