The Enzo Ferrari Museum, located not far from the city center, is a futuristic glass-walled building that showcases the life and work of Enzo Ferrari. The museum features multimedia exhibits, an art gallery, and an extensive collection of iconic racing cars. Visitors can also experience semi-professional simulators to get a feel for driving a Prancing Horse F1 single-seater on famous tracks like Monza and Silverstone.
Visiting the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena was an unforgettable experience and an absolute must for anyone with a passion for cars, history, or design. The moment you step inside, you feel the strong connection between Ferrari’s legacy and the city of Modena itself. The museum is beautifully designed, with modern architecture that contrasts yet harmonizes perfectly with Enzo Ferrari’s birthplace, which is also part of the visit. The collection of cars on display is breathtaking. Each model tells a story, from the earliest creations to the most advanced machines that symbolize Italian excellence. The exhibits are arranged with care, allowing visitors to appreciate the evolution of design, technology, and performance. The multimedia presentations, films, and historical documents give great context and make the experience both educational and emotional. What impressed me most was the attention to detail in every aspect. The lighting, the space, and the sound create an atmosphere that feels almost theatrical. It is not just a museum it feels like a celebration of Ferrari’s spirit and innovation. I left inspired, with a deeper appreciation for what Ferrari represents to Italy and to the world. Highly recommended for travelers, enthusiasts, and dreamers alike.

Especially as a Ferrari fan, this is a must, both museums are. Buy the combined ticket online as it will be cheaper and you can enter immediately without waiting. I would avoid going in August if you can, but you should still go even if you can't avoid main holiday time! While my experience was still great, the amount of people and Kids wandering around can test your patience when you'd like to take pictures. Else you'll find everything you want see, beautiful cars and the story behind each one. You can walk through if you just want to see the cars and take some pictures, or you can spend quite some time by digging deeper into the different cars and learn how it came from design to reality.
Vincent F — Google review
Definitely a Must! The scenography of the cars, the presentation on the big screen, the location, the Supercars exposed…. Could have spend more time there but had to leave for the rest of the journey after a good 2-3 hours visit! We loved it!!! Will come back to admire art on wheels!

A stunning tribute to Enzo Ferrari’s legacy. The architecture alone is breathtaking—modern yet deeply respectful of history. The vintage car displays are beautifully lit and curated, and the multimedia storytelling brought tears to my eyes. Even if you’re not a car enthusiast, this museum is a celebration of passion, innovation, and Italian elegance.
Leila S — Google review
Such an amazing display. The video presentations and abundance of information was fantastic. Photos documents and history in the 2nd part of the exhibit has hours of extra enjoyment for the Ferrari enthusiast who really wants to see the details. Just amazing. You can drive a virtual Ferrari or enjoy walking through the cars on show. Arrived by bus from Bologna, it was easy enough to find with google maps. We purchased tickets when we got there. We only did the one museum but a 2nd extra one is available when you purchase your ticket. Price was fair. Access to this museum was easy by bus but I’m not sure about the 2nd one so research ahead.
Robyn S — Google review
The visit to the Ferrari Museum left me underwhelmed. Given Ferrari’s storied legacy, I anticipated a richer exploration of the brand’s history and Enzo Ferrari’s life. Sadly, the museum lacks depth, with sparse details on the iconic founder and the company’s evolution. The car collection, while sleek, is a bit limited, featuring fewer models than expected. Interactive experiences are minimal, with just two small exhibition halls that feel underwhelming for such a legendary brand.
S T — Google review
Amazing display, emotional atmosphere with very rare hyper cars. Allow 1.5 hours for a proper visit of both buildings. Parking can be found most days on the surrounding streets.
H H — Google review
Worth to visit!! Amazing vibes ! Some of the cars are gorgeous! And they have the simulators , 25 euros for once . It has two parts . And they are bars with food and souvenirs area has clothing and shoes and tiny stuff .

Very impressive place, full of history, many important and historic events happened in this plaza, is very impressive see the majesty this Palace was built, all the baroque details, the statues very well done, many plaques set along the walls of the Palace telling the story and events happened, also, in the center of the plaza there's a monument to some of the persons mentioned in the plaques

An impressive and huge building with an open square, from which you go deeper and deeper into the center of Modena. Worth of visit, as a whole city, if you are nearby.

Incredible palace. One of the best that I have ever seen. Great art work on the walls and other sculptures inspired by Ancient Greece. Also there is a part of the museum for kids! It’s a must visit in Manitoba. We were staying in Verona and family that leaves in Verona told us that we have to go! My daughter who is 4 1/2 years old loved it

Casa Museo Luciano Pavarotti is a house museum dedicated to the life and career of the legendary opera singer, located in the Modenese countryside where he spent his final years. The museum showcases stage costumes, photographs, videos, and personal items that offer insight into both his extraordinary career and private life. Visitors can explore the estate where Pavarotti lived and appreciate his significant contributions to music. This monumental highlight is a must-visit for fans of the Maestro.
Amazing place for all lovers of Pavarotti and classical music. You can discover his beautiful house, his fan presents, his bed, even his private huge kitchen and other objects and memorabilia. Also his own paintings and even his huge garden. For me it was very emotional as there is also him singing and pictures with other world famous artists. At the end there is a small shop in the room he built for his daughter. The bar and historic pictures of Verdi or Puccini are also amazing 😍👍
The E — Google review
Although it is located far from Modena, it is well worth the effort to visit. It is the house where the master lived. It bears the traces of his footsteps, it preserves his smell, you can feel his feelings. It is a living house, full of memories and emotions.
Arianna S — Google review
It is amazing place filled with Luciano Pavarotti life, paintings, furniture, clothes, etc. It fills like he if still here, somewhere around the corner,in the next room.
Irina R — Google review
The Luciano Pavarotti House Museum in Modena offers an intimate and deeply personal look into the life of one of the world’s greatest tenors. Walking through his home feels like stepping into his private world filled with his art, photographs, awards, and personal belongings that tell the story of a man devoted not only to music but also to the people and passions that shaped his life. The museum beautifully captures his warmth and spirit, though at times it feels almost too personal… especially when passing through his bedroom, where he spent his final moments. Still, the experience is touching and memorable, offering a rare and humanizing perspective on a legendary artist. Visiting his house was both enjoyable and moving, a heartfelt tribute that leaves you with a lasting sense of who Pavarotti truly was beyond the stage. Don’t miss this if in Modena.
Rashell L — Google review

Mercato Storico Albinelli is a covered marketplace that has been offering a variety of produce, meats, and more since the early 1900s. It is considered the heart of Modena, Italy and features stalls showcasing fresh products such as Parmigiano Reggiano, prosciutto, and typical cold-cuts on a daily basis. The market is an integral part of food tours in Modena, allowing visitors to experience the city's historical and culinary sides.
Mercato Storico Albinelli is an absolute gem in the heart of Modena. The atmosphere is lively and full of energy, with friendly vendors eager to share stories about their products and traditions. We had a wonderful time exploring the stalls and picking up some of the region’s finest specialties. The balsamic vinegar was outstanding, truly a piece of Modena’s culinary heritage. And, of course, we couldn’t leave without some authentic Parmigiano Reggiano. The market’s buzz makes the experience even more enjoyable, whether you’re shopping or simply soaking in the vibrant local culture. A must-visit for food lovers! ❤️
Christine — Google review
Beautiful covered market with a superabundance of top quality food stalls. Cheese, cured meats, fruit and veg, fresh pasta. The choice and quality under one roof are extraordinary. A lot of restaurants as well. Quite expensive but within reason
Kyr R — Google review
Fun market to visit, great for a bite to eat as well. We stopped in Modena for a few hours before heading to the Ferrari Museum and enjoyed our time here.
Maryam D — Google review
My wife and I spent a month in north central Italy and came across Mercato Albinelli during a trip to Modena. What an incredible experience! This historic market opened in 1931 and still feels like the heart of the city today. At its center stands a beautiful bronze statue called La Fanciullina del Mercato, which perfectly captures the spirit of old Modena. The market is a celebration of Italian life. Everywhere you look there are colorful displays of fresh pasta, cheeses, cured meats, fruits, vegetables, and local wines. The atmosphere is warm, the vendors are proud of their craft, and the entire place feels alive with history and passion for good food. We spent hours exploring, tasting, and enjoying every moment. Mercato Albinelli is a true gem and a perfect stop for anyone who wants to experience authentic Italian culture and cuisine. A fabulous market and a wonderful memory from our time in Italy.
Scott G — Google review
Great food market selling the best selection of fresh local food. Also visit the cafe, the food is fantastic.
Al R — Google review
So sad we didn’t take pictures of what we ate at the market, but there were so many stalls with fresh cooked food that you could eat on the spot. We had polpette of ricotta, baked eggplant with Parmesan cheese, something with kale, pumpkin out the oven, everything was super tasty. The market also has several bars for bites and drinks. I really enjoyed the ambiance in here.

The Museo della Figurina, also known as the Stickers Museum, is a magical place in Corso Canalgrande that appeals to both children and adults. Established in 2006 by entrepreneur Giuseppe Panini, the museum houses an extensive collection of small prints, calendars, stamps, cigarette cards, and more. Visitors can explore a diverse array of items such as old prints, matchboxes, menus, and trading cards displayed in captivating albums.
This is a museum with one hall, but many many exhibits on display panels smartly arranged. As a kid of the 80's, the democratic regime brought cable TV with Italian channels showing great movies and cartoons, plus the Panini albums and collectibles. So this place allows you to connect to this collectible culture, with stamps, postcards, cards, stickers etc. Very cheap!

great collection, super friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent bookshop also.
Jonathan C — Google review
An amazing collection, collected by the Panini family, it’s well displayed and well worth a visit. Ok for older kids too. However although it’s a Panini collection, it is the families personal collection and little to do with the Panini collectibles that exist today. Unfortunately there is no such collection or store in Modena, despite the factory being based close by.

Palazzo Comunale, also known as the Town Hall, has been a central point in Modena for centuries. It has witnessed numerous historic events, from religious ceremonies to executions and political gatherings. The complex comprises several medieval buildings connected by a marble-columned portico that gives the square its distinctive quadrangular shape. The Clock Tower with its Immaculata balcony adds to the square's charm.

Frescoed rooms steeped in history, it also houses the famous "Stolen Bucket," so beloved by the people of Modena, a trophy from the Battle of Zappolino in 1325. It is an old wooden bucket stolen by the Ghibellines "Geminiani" from the Guelphs "Felsinei" in a well in Bologna. In 1622, Alessandro Tassoni wrote the famous mock-heroic poem dedicated to her, making her eternal. (Original) Stupendo Palazzo in una Piazza Meravigliosa. Nice park! Perfect for running and walking around! Dogs area, bar, playgrounds, perfect outdoor space for a Sunday picnic!

A quaint park. Very degraded and run down by OECD standards. The lake water was soupy green but had thriving turtles, introduced Castorino (large rodents), ducks & coots. It's quite a relaxed place but could do with a bit of money being spent & refreshed infrastructure considering its a major park in a decent sized town.

(Translated by Google) The municipality of Modena must wake up!! For people coming from outside this park does not represent at all what Modena can be! Park practically uncontrolled, it is already dangerous to walk around in broad daylight, safety 0. Not to mention the maintenance which is non-existent. There are still those 3 half-built concrete kiosks that have become a meeting point for drug dealing. It would be necessary to tear everything down and redo it, and run many, many more checks, rather than just seeing who puts in the parking slip or not. You can see that the municipality doesn't care about these things, it's really a shame, it should be the main park of Modena, and instead it only reflects the worst part of this splendid city (Original) Il comune di Modena deve svegliarsi!!

The Botanical Garden of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia dates back to 1758 when Duke Francesco III d'Este allocated a section of the Ducal Garden for medicinal plants. Over time, it has expanded with the establishment of the university and the enrichment of its Herbarium and botanical collections. Visitors have described it as a peaceful garden, perfect for a quiet stroll. It is also recommended for school visits, offering workshops that children particularly enjoy.
Little difficult to get into but essentially a nice quiet botanical garden with no one around!

(Translated by Google) SCAMMERS, I REPORTED THEM. my mother (65 years old) was complaining about problems charging her phone, I am an IT technician but since I was working she decided to take her phone to this service shop. they immediately told her that the connector was broken and that they would replace it (they understood this without even testing it, as evidenced by their repair sheet) after the collection my mother noticed that there were no signs of interventions on the device and after work I joined her to check. the phone is an iPhone, being a technician I know perfectly well that to change the connector it is necessary to open the phone, which as demonstrated by the dirt on the opening screws of the device (photo attached) was not done. furthermore, the internal connector shows the same signs of wear that it had before the "replacement" and by analyzing the device it turns out that they simply cleaned the connector from the outside, without carrying out openings, tests or anything else (their last hypothesis is that they had soldered some pins on the connector, an operation that still requires opening the device) on the repair sheet they definitely have confused ideas because they marked that they had carried out the replacement, but "repair" appears among the results. now, it was a 35 euro operation so luckily they didn't cheat us excessively, but thinking that many inexperienced people can pay for operations that aren't carried out made me decide to proceed with a complaint. my mother was ripped off, but reading the reviews you will realize that it is a usual practice. Stay away, there are plenty of other honest repair shops. ps. I called to ask for explanations, obviously, I was treated with arrogance and was told in a few words to make do. I asked for the references of the person I spoke to on the phone but obviously he didn't want to give them to me, much less give me a manager. perhaps someone here is afraid of the consequences by taking note of the dishonest work also because shortly after the end of the unpleasant call I was called back by the same guy to tell me that replacing a connector for them is the same thing as cleaning (checking on their website what turns out not to be true, obviously) (Original) TRUFFATORI, LI HO DENUNCIATI. mia madre (65 anni) lamentava problemi nel caricamento del telefono, io sono un tecnico informatico ma siccome stavo lavorando ha deciso di portare il suo telefono in questo negozio di assistenza. le hanno subito detto che il connettore era rotto e che lo avrebbero sostituito (lo avevano capito senza neanche testarlo, come evidenziato dalla loro scheda di riparazione) dopo il ritiro mia madre ha notato che non vi erano segni di interventi sul dispositivo e dopo lavoro l’ho raggiunta per controllare. il telefono è un iphone, essendo un tecnico so perfettamente che per cambiare il connettore è necessario aprire il telefono, cosa che come dimostra la sporcizia presente sulle viti di apertura del dispositivo (allegata foto) non è stata fatta. inoltre, il connettore interno presenta gli stessi segni di usura che aveva prima della “sostituzione” e facendo un analisi al dispositivo risulta che hanno semplicemente effettuato la pulizia del connettore dall’esterno, senza eseguire aperture, test o altro (la loro ultima ipotesi è che avessero saldato dei pin sul connettore, intervento che richiede comunque l’apertura del dispositivo) sulla scheda di riparazione hanno decisamente le idee confuse perché hanno segnato di aver effettuato la sostituzione, spuntando però tra i risultati la “riparazione”. ora, era un intervento da 35 euro quindi per fortuna non ci hanno fregato eccessivamente, ma pensare che molte persone non esperte possano pagare per degli interventi che poi non vengono effettuati mi ha fatto decidere di procedere con una denuncia. mia madre è stata fregata, ma leggendo le recensioni vi renderete conto che è una pratica abituale. state alla larga, ci sono tanti altri negozi di riparazione onesti. ps. ho chiamato per chiedere spiegazioni, ovviamente, sono stata trattata con arroganza e mi è stato detto in poche parole di arrangiarmi. ho chiesto le referenze di colui con cui ho parlato al telefono ma ovviamente non ha voluto darmele né tanto meno passami un responsabile. forse qualcuno qua ha paura delle conseguenze prendendo atto del lavoro disonesto anche perché poco dopo la fine della chiamata spiacevole sono stata richiamata dallo stesso ragazzo per comunicarmi che la sostituzione di un connettore per loro è la stessa cosa di una pulizia (controllando sul loro sito ciò risulta non essere veritiero, ovviamente)

What a gem of a place! We had the pleasure of spending 4 days at Salotto Delle Arti and it was nothing short of perfect. The location is unbeatable, calm but very central and close to everything. The rooms are just beautiful, super comfortable and spacious, filled with frescoes on the ceiling. The service is attentive, caring, they make you feel like you are staying in your own home. Thank you so much to the great Benedetta for being so welcoming. Definitely will stay there again.

Simply one of the most wonderful small private hotels we have been. Every detail shows great love. It’s quiet but also very close to “where things happen”. Parking was on the street behind the hotel, a permit has been provided. The breakfast was typical Italian, some sweet, some savory but not too much (which I don’t see a sth negative). Please consider Salotto delle Arti for your Modena visit. You won’t regret it.

It is a reflection on an institution when guests mention they wish they had stayed longer. If you're wondering if you should stay here, I'm here to chime in as an avid advocate. Do it! My husband and I stayed for one night and wished we had stayed longer..even if only to languish in the apartment. Bernedetta is the quintessential host. Her obvious care and pride for her boutique apartments can be seen and felt around you. From the attention to detail: personalised items, the little extras that make that stay just a little more comfortable. The spread of snacks in the morning, the aperitifs on offer. Bernedetta herself was helpful and considerate. P.s. loved her mums cameo, she's so sweet! We couldn't talk to each other but we tried really hard together!

The host was excellent communicating efficiently and arranged a visit to the balsamic producer in the same building. She came with us to find a (free of charge) parking space just behind the building. We were also told about a Parmesan producer who we visited. A good location about 5 minutes walk from the very centre and had an enjoyable breakfast. Set on the second floor of an old building with high ceilings the decor and furnishings were in keeping. We had a large room with air conditioning and it was quiet. Would highly recommend.

Salotto delle Arte (That is the proper name) - Right inside the city walls, you walk into the courtyard and upstairs or lift to the second floor. You will be swept away by the 16 foot ceilings & hospitality. Clean, modern and artistic simplicity is the description of these rooms. Each one is appointed differently and charming as is the main sitting/dining room. We enjoyed having coffee or tea with a snack anytime of day. It's expansive beautifully painted ceilings & lighting will delight you after a day of touring or a day of leisure. Everything you need is just outside back into the old city. (Or through the walkway into the new). The morning breakfast was delightful with delicious fruits, cheese, breads and spreads to start the day. (No hot foods) We felt like we were staying in our own perfect palace apartment with these spacious suite sized rooms. Thank you for the special arrival gifts!

Acetaia di Giorgio is a must-visit when you're in Modena. This traditional balsamic vinegar producer offers free guided tastings in the attic rooms of an ancient family home, surrounded by hundreds of barrels of exquisite balsamic vinegar. Host Marcelo provides insights into the production process and allows visitors to taste various aged vinegars, some aged in different woods like cherry wood.
My wife and I loved our visit and tour here! I’d highly recommend it. It was amazing to learn from Marcello about how the real balsamic vinegar is made. We love how he is keeping the tradition alive and honoring such an amazing craft. Plus, the aceto balsamico is divine.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! Highly recommend this small local family owned acetaia! They offer free tours! Our tour guide Marcello welcomed us to their family home. He was very upbeat and educational on balsamic. We learned A LOT from this and it was great to support a multigenerational family business! Their balsamic was some of the best we’ve had and we can’t wait to buy more. We also had no issues with the balsamic through airport security, other than the agent laughing at us with all our bottles. Haha. Definitely, definitely, definitely come here and support them if possible. Also their prices are HALF of the cost at the airport, so way better to buy directly!

This is a definite must see for anyone curious about Aceto. Marcello invited us into his lovely cellar and shared with us all his knowledge about the production of real modena based aceto and the fascinating history behind it. You can feel the passion he has for his product. The tales are then joined by a tasting were you get to experience the different variants he produces. This was definitly one of my Italy trip highlights! Thank you Marcello.

Wonderful experience learning about Balsamic and how it is created. The family is clearly very passionate about what they do and it is evident in the high quality product they share.

This is the real deal! Don’t be fooled by the tourist trap spots or the “fake” balsamic bottles you see in the stores. Acetaia Di Giorgio is a small family run producer of authentic Modena balsalmic vinegar and is one of the few actually certified D.O.P producers, a designation that is highly regulated and almost impossible to obtain now. After the tour you will realize most of what you see labeled as “Modena balsamic vinegar” is not the real deal. The tour is free, the vinegar is amazing, and it is all run out of their small family home. We had no issues bringing the vinegar back in our carry-on luggage since Italy has much more flexible liquid restrictions than what we are use to in the USA. Highly recommended!

BO.EM Bottega Enoteca Modenese is a charming spot run by a group of enthusiastic individuals dedicated to offering the best of Modena and Emilian regions. This enogastronomic shop boasts a well-trained staff that curates high-quality cured meats and cheeses, along with a meticulous selection of wines from across Italy.
One of my favorite places! They have a good collection of good wine. You can take a glass and even buy a bottle to take home! They have good crescentine served with italin prosciutto, salami and cheese! Great local food!

Nice and friendly who were patient to explain to us the local wines available. We had a platter of ham and cheese with the delightful “Tigelle”, a flat bread in the size of a fist and unique in the area. Prices are slightly more expensive as we have spent much time in Piedmont, but this is Modena.

Musée automobile PANINI is a unique and intimate museum located in an unexpected setting that may seem like a cattle farm. The museum is privately owned by Mr. Panini, known for selling stickers, and offers free entry with the option to make donations. It features a diverse collection of used cars, motorcycles, and bicycles that showcase the region's automotive heritage.
Worth the visit! Loved the cars on display. There are some nice gems in the collection. It’s a small collection but with heavy hitters in terms of cars. An absolute must visit if you are a gear head and visiting the region to see Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani. This Maserati collection is worth the detour :)

Modesty pays off! An hour earlier, I was at the Ferrari Museum, which I thought would blow me away, but instead, I found the complete opposite of the Maserati Museum. Here at Maserati, from the very beginning, you feel what you should feel in any professional automotive museum: the smell of gasoline and oil. You feel like you're walking through a garage full of cars being repaired. The staff was very friendly and professional staff explaining everything I asked. It's a peaceful place with much more interesting exhibits. This place deserves much more attention.

A lovely little playground tucked beneath the shade, perfect for kids to enjoy without the midday sun. The park is filled with the unmistakable buzz of cicadas, giving it a true summer-in-the-south feel. It’s also a great spot for a stroll, featuring a picturesque pond teeming with hundreds of vibrant koi. (Translated by Google) A morning to discover and understand the partial solar eclipse. Too bad the weather didn't help.. But the staff was super good! (Original) Una mattinata per scoprire e capire l'Eclissi solare parziale. Peccato per il meteo che non ha aiutato.. Ma lo staff super bravo!
Massimo C — Google review
(Translated by Google) Considering the season, it's unfortunate that there's no air conditioning throughout the entire facility, including the dome, and the microphone sound is also poor. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. (Original) Considerato il periodo, peccato la mancanza dell'aria condizionata in tutta la struttura compresa nella cupola e scarso anche l'audio del microfono; personale preparato e disponibile.
