Experience the ultimate thrill of white water rafting at Victoria Falls, where the mighty Zambezi River offers grade five rapids for an up-close encounter with the falls. The trip duration varies depending on the season, as high water levels during the wet season can affect safety. While cheaper tours may be available from street touts, they often compromise on safety. For adrenaline junkies, bungee jumping off Victoria Falls Bridge is also an option.
Highly recommended with Shearwater! We had a fantastic daytrip with Chris and his crew and if I was not completely sore today, I would book another tour straight away. This tour is for you, if you enjoy physical activity!!, lots of wild water, hiking and most of all spending time in untouched nature with local professionals! We were a group of 6 friends and were accompanied in the raft by Chris, our extremely experienced tour leader, and 2 highly motivated apprentice. Furthermore, 1 safety guard paddled ahead in a kajak and we were accompanied by another kajak to take photos and videos. Best team! We felt safe at any time and enjoyed the action and nature to the fullest. The day starts with a team introduction and detailed safety briefing. Afterwards we were transferred to the NP, received our gear under supervision of a team member regarding the correct fitting and started the descent into the gorge. It’s several flights of steep metal ladders, however you are constantly reminded by the team to not rush. Before entering the boat, another team member checks the proper fitting of lifewest and helmet again, before supporting you to get into the raft. Before approaching the first rapid, we trained and performed all possible commandos until our tour leader Chris was satisfied. Afterwards the fun began! We were on the water for roughly 4 hours, enjoying 19 official rapids (Level 1-5) , several freebies and 3 swimming stops. Drinking water was supplied and Chris checked in regularly how we were doing. Before the tour ended we watched another raft flipping and were reminded of the force of nature and how important great teamwork is in the raft. Of course we rushed to help and everyone was „rescued“ in a minimum of time. The fun doesn’t end with the last rapid though, we still had the steep ascent (700feet) back up to the top of the gorge ahead of us. It’s rough terrain. We were asked to carry our gear back up, however the team offered a hand at any time. Most important to Chris and his team, everyone was supposed to get back up safely. We had a 60year old lady conquering the tour with ease and another 59year old lady „suffering“: a decent level of fitness will be helpful. Act responsible and be true to yourself before booking this tour. Up on top a delicious, homecooked lunch (dietary requirements are considered) and cold drinks were waiting for us and everyone was proud and happy to have experienced this unforgettable adventure at Victoria Falls. THANK YOU Shearwater Team!

One of the most memorable events of my life and best example of our planet's beauty. If you have a bucket list, this should be one of your first entries along with Victoria Falls! My tip - get shoes/sandals that attach very, very well indeed to your feet because you're bound to lose at least one.

2Victoria Falls Steam Train

Experience the Victoria Falls Steam Train Dinner, a luxurious and fully air-conditioned steam train journey offering scenic views of the area. The train stops at the iconic Victoria Falls Bridge, allowing passengers to feel the spray from the nearby falls and admire the Jafuta Siding with its local wildlife and landscape. With departures twice a week, this is a unique alternative to a hotel dinner, featuring great food, entertainment by staff and musicians, as well as endless refreshments.
Excellent experience! Highly recommend. Nice cultural introduction to local traditions before the train, great history explanation of the train and regional railway, and delicious food and drinks. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. All the drinks and food were great! We had a little bubbly to start, then some beers and wine with dinner. All the food was beautifully prepared. They did a fabulous job. From the soup to the starter to the main and the dessert. All very tasty and beautifully presented. The train is very well maintained. The sunset was beautiful from the bridge.
L S — Google review
I booked this a week or so before our (couple) actual visit to Vic Falls and can thoroughly recommend it is a scenic alternative to a hotel dinner. It runs 2 evenings a week (Tues & Fri) from the Zimbabwe side of the falls (2 also from the Zambian side) and access is very conveniently right next to the Victoria Falls hotel via its own entrance to the platform a little way along from the station building. Guests at other hotels can be picked up from their hotel and brought to the train as part of the experience. I’m no train fanatic but the sight of a 1950s English-built steam engine coming into the platform on a balmy evening was very evocative of days gone by. Three carriages were coupled on our visit accommodating up to 40ish guests (12 on our visit) in a spacious lounge car with comfortable sofas and seating, bar and an end viewing section. Additional carriages can be added to the train to accommodate a larger number of guests. The middle carriage on our visit was the dining car, tables impeccably laid for our coming 5 course dinner, and the final carriage also had some seating, a bar and a smaller viewing section. Before setting off we were invited up to the engine’s footplate and met the fireman’s driver (fulfilling many a child’s dream). Service from the staff from the start was and remained first class all evening and soon we were on our way with gin and tonics in hand as we rolled slowly to the Victoria Falls bridge. The train stopped mid-bridge for ample photo opportunities of the falls, bridge and train in the evening light as well as a very short walk up to a couple of viewpoints on the Zambian side. On return to the train we made our leisurely progress back to the Zimbabwean side, on past our original embarkation point and further into Zimbabwe while we sat down to our dinner. This I can say was exceptional. I understand that recently the management of the experience has changed and with that so too has the catering which is now provided by a local cafe in the town (Marula, formerly Shearwater), replacing the catering previously supplied by the adjoining Victoria Falls Hotel. The food was excellent, surpassing the quality of nearby hotels and very befitting the historic surroundings of the dining coach. Entertainment was music from a local musician and the evening end happily with a return to our starting point. The combination of train, scenery and dining made for one of those ‘exceeds expectations’ experiences and I have no hesitation in recommending it if you happen to be staying in Victoria Falls on the nights the train is running. Every success to the new management team. Note, this train may be also known as the Bushtracks Express in some listings.

This is the most charming time to end a day in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The dinner is spectacular, the entertainment is lovely, and you'll pass into Zambia (no visa required) before returning to the Victoria Falls Bridge where the vintage steam train parks for a while. You can shovel coal and blow the whistle in the detached engine at this point.

Wonderful experience. Highly recommend it. Service was amazing. The staff kept you will entertained the entire evening. Food was delicious as was the endless wine, cocktail and beverages. A fun fun evening.

The Boma - Dinner & Drum Show at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge offers a vibrant and immersive cultural experience. Guests can enjoy a four-course dinner featuring traditional dishes, including specialties like smoked crocodile tail and warthog steak. The evening includes performances by traditional singers, dancers, and drummers, as well as interactive activities such as face painting and drumming sessions. The energetic atmosphere encourages guests to join in the community spirit by trying their hand at drumming or getting up to dance.
This was an amazing cultural experience. From the time you walk in, and they adore you with the traditional robe. The music and drum show was phenomenal. The buffet was excellent. Lots of choices, including very unique dishes. He can also choose to eat a worm and receive a certificate! Enjoyable experience

Great experience and a must-see event! The food was a lot of fun to try and explore different things. The meats were great, even if the sides weren’t. But the show is why you go and doesn’t disappoint!
Leland S — Google review
Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Victoria falls!! The food was amazing and some of the staff even had a braai in front of you with all the meat you can ask for. The service was really good and the atmosphere was so energetic and friendly. The drum show had an amazing leader that even taught everyone in the crowd. A really great experience.
Emily P — Google review
We had a fun night at the Boma. There are a bunch of little experiences before you even get to the dining hall, which add to the atmosphere, but most come with an extra charge. All drinks, including water, were also at an additional cost, so just something to keep in mind. The food was decent but nothing to write home about. There was a big salad bar and four vegetarian mains when we visited—chickpea curry, pasta, stuffed peppers, and layered vegetables. All the desserts were vegetarian too. The best part of the evening came at the end when everyone got a Djembe drum and joined in for a lively group drumming session. Definitely a unique experience.

My second time going. The food and entertainment was on point. One staffer tensed when my friend asked for a second helping. Its a buffet, people should feel free to come for seconds and thirds. $50 per person is not a joke. Everything else was great.
Kudzai R — Google review
A famous restaurant for game meat.. $55 per pax and we got 20% discount as we are staying at the Lokuthula Lodge (same company) and just 3 mins walking distance from our lodge. I'd say the food is rather disappointing.. well this could be the high expectation to get guineafowl, croc tail or so on that our friend had before. Then there's this eland and buffalo stew only.. Anyway..... This is not the end, i'd say we actually paid for the experience of the night. The credit goes to all the staff that night! They are all friendly and i met the 2 lovey girls from the counter during our breakfast here who taught me Good Morning in local Zimbabwe language (well, i do not know which dialect it is as they have like 16 or what languages here).. the face painting is another highlight, he is an awesome painter, holding the paint in one hand and stand/ half squad paint with steady hand! I can't bear to wash my face that night. The interaction of the drum session, dancing, music is fantastic. What a fun night =)
Christina C — Google review
Boma will never disappoint, game meat, traditional meals you name it. You will truly enjoy your dinner! Local or international, it’s simply the best!
Adam M — Google review
This is as Disney-like experience as it gets in Vic Falls! The performance is fun and interactive. They even give you a drum to play along at the end. Food is buffet style so there’s a lot of food; many kinds of meat, salads, and desserts. Drinks are not included though so you even have to pay for water. The servers are friendly, but I think the lady in front could be nicer…

Wild Horizons is a renowned company in Victoria Falls that offers exceptional river cruises with a commitment to sustainability. The company has also established the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust, which focuses on rescuing and rehabilitating animals affected by poaching. On their cruises, guests can savor cocktails and snacks while observing wildlife such as crocodiles, various bird species, and the famous resident hippos. The experience provides an excellent opportunity for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers alike.
We booked the Sundowner river cruise and white water rafting with Wild Horizons. Both were brilliant experiences and great value considering what’s included. On the sundowner we saw hippos, elephants, crocodiles, buffalo and many more. The food was good and drinks great! White water rafting was a once in a lifetime experience with a great guide and safety team. The hike back up the cliff side afterwards is hard work so be prepared for that. All in all fantastic and would recommend highly.

The sunset cruise on the Zambezi river was a magical experience—relaxing, scenic, and well organized. We saw hippos while enjoying unlimited drinks and delicious snacks. The sunset over the river was truly unforgettable, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. A must-do in Victoria Falls!

Zipline, Gorge Swing and Flying Fox Review. Very professional and safety was of utmost concern. My husband, son and I did the zipline and it was breathtaking! My husband and I did the tandem zipline which was really neat! Our daughter (the crazy one 😉) added the Flying Fox and Gorge Swing. It was scary to watch her do the Gorge Swing, but she loved it. Highly recommend for thrill seekers. Beautiful scenery and beautiful people. 💕

Wild Horizons is a wonderful company in Victoria Falls, and I was privileged to enjoy a few activities that they have to offer! I did the zip lining and white river rafting and I couldn’t recommend it more. They were both such exhilarating experiences and I felt so safe throughout it all. The guides were very helpful and caring and they knew exactly how things should operate. Their operations were safe and I felt like I was in good hands through the whole experience. The white river rafting was a bucket list experience, something that gives me chills thinking back on it as it was such an amazing experience! We were served an incredible lunch after the rafting and it was so welcomed! Thank you Wild Horizon’s team, I will be back!

What an epic adventure with Wild Horizons white water rafting on the mighty Zambezi River! 💦🔥 It was absolutely awesome! The perfect experience for anyone looking for adrenaline, action, and pure fun. Our guide Colgate was phenomenal, a true legend and hero who made the whole day unforgettable with his energy, humour, and skill. Be warned, this is not for the faint-hearted! The rapids are wild, the river is powerful, and the hike back up the gorge after hours of rafting definitely tests your legs… but it’s 100% worth it for the cold beer waiting at the top 🍺🙌 In the words of Colgate himself — “ARE WE TOGETHER?!” YES WE ARE! 🤣🤣 Thanks team! Yasmin & Ashley 🌊💪
Yasmin S — Google review
Google Review – ★☆☆☆☆ Booked a sunset cruise with Wild Horizons. Thought I was getting the Zambezi. Instead, I got the car park at my hotel. They didn’t show up. Called five minutes after the pickup time – “oh yeah, we’ll send a driver.” Forty-five minutes later, still standing there like a lemon. Called again. Their solution? “Come on a breakfast cruise tomorrow.” Brilliant. Nothing says “romantic African sunset” like cold eggs and instant coffee at 8 a.m. Told them I wouldn’t. Asked for a refund. Had to remind them reception was closing in ten minutes, otherwise I’d have been stood there arguing with a locked door. Emailed afterwards, said I might forgive the shambles if they refunded and rebooked for another date. They ghosted me for two days. I’ve had better communication from dead relatives. So, if you fancy paying for a cruise and instead experiencing the unique thrill of waiting around in shorts while the mosquitoes eat you alive, this is the outfit for you.
Mark W — Google review
So...where to start!!...White water rafting on the mighty Zambezi River with Wild Horizons is a must do even if you have some doubts, like my good lady🫣. From the briefing by Colgate at the Lookout Cafe to the very end with a cold 🍺 and food ,which you will earn😂, what a day🌟. So our mentor, guide, teacher and skipper on our raft was Nox. What a man, his skill was phenomenal, he was full of information, funny and great company. A credit to Wild Horizons. The other support staff on the day, special mention to Morton, also made the experience unforgettable. Right, the walk down to the bottom of the gorge and back up at the end is challenging but worthwhile for a day then will long live on in your memory!! So once again thanks to Nox and the rest of the Wild Horizons team, long may you continue to thrill future clients🌟👌

A little pricy for similar activities in the country. You’ll most likely come across all big five except for the rhino. I enjoyed the snack and drinks at the end of the drive; deep inside the game park with zebras and buffaloes in the background. It’s a must to visit this place but first of all let’s see if you can spot any animal in the first picture uploaded.

Experience the Zambezi Dinner Cruise, a serene and enjoyable evening on The Malachite Dinner Cruise. Glide across the river while savoring grilled Zambezi bream as mist from the waterfall curls around the Victoria Falls Bridge. Excitement fills the air from nearby highwire activities, creating an essence of adventure. Delight in a sensory overload with every meal, complemented by attentive service and enchanting acapella performances at night's end.

Very serene and enjoyable dinner cruise. The food was good, especially the soup and dessert. The service was great, very attentive and helpful servers. Our children loved seeing the hippos and hearing them snort. The acapella group at the end of the night was a surprise but a very enchanting end to the evening. Would definitely recommend.
Jennifer S — Google review
Our agent recommended a dinner cruise on Zambezi Reflections, so we accepted their advice. We wish we hadn’t. For US$240 we had a very short cruise along the river until sunset whilst seeing a small number of hippos and one small croc. We then enjoyed watching the beautiful sunset. For the next 2.5 hrs though, we cruised for what seemed like only a short distance before sitting in the same place near the dock for a very long time. We could not tell for sure because it was pitch black and there was nothing to see. It was boring as batsh……. It was quite cold on the open deck with the breeze, once the sun set. We hadn’t realised this would be the case, so we had not brought warm clothing, and we just had to put up with it. The food was fine but the service was extremely slow. People near us had finished their main meals by the time we received ours. There was a repetitive group singalong by the staff at the end of the night was showed off some amazing voices. It really was a waste of time and (a lot of) money for what we experienced. A better option may have been to do just a river cruise during daylight hours.

I was on a solo trip when I took Victoria Falls: Dinner Cruise on the Zambezi River Organized by Pure Africa Limited, I was picked up at my hotel (the Ilala Lodge) in Victoria Falls and from that moment on this was a trip to remember. I cannot recommend it highly enough - the staff, the boat, the location the river, the sunset but above all the ambience and the food - it was an incredible evening, to prepare and present such great food on board was testament to the skills of the staff - I require a Gluten Free diet (no problem - I did alert them in advance but that was only fair) - everything was delicious - the company (other travellers) was and great seeing some animals and birds plus sunset was a bonus. Then delivery back safe to my hotel. Great value for a must do trip.

Victoria Falls Snake Park is a recent addition to the area, offering visitors a chance to explore the fascinating world of snakes. The park is home to 107 snakes housed in enclosures designed to replicate their natural habitats. Visitors can enjoy an educational experience and even hold some of the reptiles under the guidance of knowledgeable staff. The well-maintained enclosures provide a comfortable environment for the snakes, making it an unmissable experience for those interested in wildlife.
Oh my goodness what an experience. The guy in charge was super friendly and very helpful. I even got through one my biggest fears which is snakes, by holding one. I do have to say, all snakes looked very well cared for. Their enclosures were clean and a nice terrain which suited the snakes along with lots of water and water holes, some enclosures even had fans. This is an experience which shouldn't be missed.

Walked here after the falls to kill some time after reading some good reviews. It was even better than we expected and for only $6! Abraham showed us around and was super knowledgeable. We even held some of them (bye Felicia!) and my friend fell in love with George after being terrified to hold it. The chameleon was so cute and it was fun to pick him up and watch him walk around slowly on our arms. If you need something fun to do for an hour-ish come see this place!

We received a wonderful tour by Abraham. He has a lot of knowledge about snakes and other animals. The enthusiastic way of presenting and the good interaction gives him a 5-star award for a tour guide. PS: you will get an opportunity to hold and touch a snake. Very nice place to spend 1,5-2,0 hours (adults, as well as for kids)

The sunset cruise provides stunning views of African wildlife, beautiful hotels along the riverbank, and an unforgettable African sunset over the Zambezi River. The boat's safari chic decor adds to the relaxing atmosphere, making it a must-try experience.
This was my first evening in Vic Falls, so this was the best possible introduction! The food was decent. Drinks were free flow and there was a good selection of wines and cocktails. The service was a bit hectic and slow at times though. Needless to say the best thing about it was the view of the river and the sunset! Just pure magic! A must-do!

The excited greeting we received upon check-in for our Zambezi Reflections Classic Dinner Cruise was just the beginning to a spectacular evening. Pure Africa rolled out the red carpet physically and figuratively! Not only was the food incredible and specially tailored around my dietary considerations, the wine selection was abundant and of excellent quality. My only wish was the ability to buy it back in Canada. The service was also next level with an ambiance that was quiet, comfortable and allowed us to enjoy the beautiful sunset views and time with the hippos. What a memorable experience! I would recommend Pure Africa to anyone visiting Victoria Falls, and I’d even go as far as saying that it’s a must-do! Out of all the tour operators, Pure Africa’s fleet stands out as being modern, clean, safe, and outright majestic. We did the Dinner Cruise, and couldn’t get enough so we came back the next evening for a Sunset Cruise. The main event during the Dinner Cruise was definitely the food - a four-course adventure that we will never forget. The pasta and steak were unforgettable. The highlight of the Sunset Cruise was getting to sit on the top deck of Pure Africa’s signature vessel, the beautiful Zambezi Explorer, whilst sipping on the curated selection of drinks on board and indulging in the canapés. Take note that this is part of the Signature Deck offering. The crew were very thoughtful, as they had made a note that I am allergic to shellfish (we had informed them prior to the cruise) and made sure that we got an alternative to the sushi. Witnessing the beautiful African sunset over the mighty Zambezi is a memory that will stay with me forever, and I wouldn’t have it any other way than aboard one of Pure Africa’s boats.

We booked through GetYourGuide and had a wonderful experience! You can enjoy a beautiful sunset while having a delicious dinner on board. The only thing to note is that the cruise doesn’t get close to Victoria Falls — it’s a relaxing river cruise, so you won’t actually see the falls during the trip. Still, it was a lovely and memorable evening!
Mafalda R — Google review
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience but it was not quite the same as a similar sunset cruise a few years ago. We were on the top signature deck and the canapés were nicely presented. We did enjoy a lovely clear sky and the sunset was beautiful. We unfortunately didn’t see as many animals as last time but still pleasant. Definitely worth the experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the staff song and dance. 4.8 ⭐️

We went on a sunrise cruise on the signature deck of the Zambezi Explorer and it was a superlative experience. Staff is incredibly friendly, you get a selection of canapés and unlimited drinks (including spirits and cocktails). We didn’t see much game but the atmosphere is super enjoyable and the sunrise was something else!

An absolutely amazing experience! The Pure Africa sunset dinner cruise was magical from start to finish. The boat was beautiful and very comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were excellent. We spotted animals along the riverbank, which made it even more special, and the sunset over the Zambezi was just sublime. Truly unforgettable — would highly recommend to anyone visiting Victoria Falls.

We did the 4 course dinner cruise and it was such an amazing evening. We didn't see many animals but it was a beautiful trip on a really nice boat. It had a very upscale feel to it at and affordable price. The service and food was great (and it was plentiful so come hungry) and it was such a relaxing evening. Pick up and drop off at our hotel was seamless.

Embark on a Chobe Day Trip, just an hour away from Victoria Falls, for an unforgettable African wildlife experience. The park boasts one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, offering sightings of elephants, lions, hippos, impalas, and diverse bird species. A morning river cruise along the Chobe River and an afternoon game drive in Chobe National Park provide excellent opportunities to observe the region's abundant wildlife.
What a wonderful experience! First class from start to finish. The border crossing stuff was a pain, but the cruise was amazing with plenty of birds and hippos and cricks. We saw a family of elephants cross the river (to get to the other side). Then the safari drive was great. Lions, giraffes, dead zebra, oh my. Guides were great

Experience the exhilarating Gorge Swing & Zipline at Victoria Falls with Wild Horizons. The ziplines offer a unique twist, allowing you to soar horizontally while sitting or lying down like Superman. The breathtaking views and dizzying heights make for an unforgettable adventure just minutes away from Lookout Cafe. With 9 zigzagging zip lines across the gorge, you'll have plenty of opportunities to take in the stunning scenery and capture memorable moments along the way.
A great adventure on the canopy zip line. Great briefing with good equipment. Staff were great and easily under directions. 9 zip lines zig zagging across the gorge. Chance at each zip change to take in scenery.
Caroline C — Google review
The zip lines had beautiful views but the guides were unfriendly/surly, barely saying a word the entire time. Then at the end they pointedly asked us to tip. Felt weird, especially as they did it before we returned to the office so it seemed they didn’t want the managers to see. Put a damper on the experience

(Translated by Google) The zipline itself was closed that day. The view of the gorge and the meandering Zambezi River look impressive. From a safari perspective, there have been some lizards roaming around here and walking here can pose the risk of encountering elephants. You should be a little careful. (Translated by Google) A spectacular zipline into the Zambezi Gorge. You "roll" from about 120 meters down to 30 meters above the roaring Zambezi River. In the lower section, you swing freely, offering views into two gorges. Breathtaking and unforgettable... then a staff member picks you up at the bottom (clips you into your cable) and tows you back up. The access point is right next to the Lookout Cafe (a fantastic viewpoint!) and about 200 meters from the main entrance to Victoria Falls! Highly recommended and suitable for all ages 12 and up – a third of our tour group did it.

Victoria Falls is a must-visit destination with an array of activities to enjoy, making a minimum stay of 2 nights highly recommended. Known as the adventure capital of Africa, it offers something for everyone, from sunset river cruises and bungee jumping to helicopter flips and white-water rafting. Families can also find child-friendly activities tailored for little ones. Additionally, visitors can experience unique stargazing tours led by licensed safari guides to explore the African night sky and wildlife.
Breathtaking! If you plan on walking each point, wear a swimsuit, bring an umbrella and/or raincoat because you will get absolutely soaked at/after point 11 or 12. Wear sneakers or hiking shoes, it's not rough terrain but best for walking the trails there. Have fun!
Trice K — Google review
Recommend visiting when cooler out so early morning as you can get very hot from all the walking and not many opportunities to fill up water. It is very beautiful and I would recommend visiting from both sides as you get different views.

There is a lot to do whilst visiting Victoria Falls. We did the falls walk through the spray with SPECTACULAR views. Fees for locals is very affordable, but I must admit we were shocked that fees are SO high for visitors to the country!! A HUGE difference between the fees and unnecessary as far as I am concerned. We want to encourage tourists and not frighten them away! We supported the CANOPY TOUR which was awesome fun - stunning views and a super adventure. We also supported the Crocodile Farm and did a tour there (you can also book to dive with crocodiles there) and watched the Vulture feed at the Safari lodge. We loved the Lookout Restaurant as well. In the past, we have also done the helicopter flight which is just wonderful, but we didn't do this this time - always careful of the pocket!! But Vic Falls has SO much on offer. We stayed for 2 days - if you want to do more activities - The Boma dinner/bungee jump/gorge swing/flying fox - and more - the list is endless - then stay another one or 2 days.

Walk With Lions Victoria Falls offers a unique and educational experience for visitors aged 14 and above to get up close with lions in their natural habitat. The knowledgeable and friendly staff provide guidance throughout the encounter, allowing guests to learn about lion behavior, conservation, and habitat while taking photos and videos. This activity provides an opportunity to observe these majestic animals up close while promoting awareness of wildlife conservation.
This is what is called, going against the nature. Overcome our fear, to meet lions face to face, and to touch them. It was an experience full of adrenaline. We did enjoy it.

What a memorable experience....a dream come true 😍 💖
Engr. M — Google review
While the idea of walking alongside lions at Victoria Falls might sound thrilling, it’s essential to consider the ethical and welfare implications for the animals involved. This attraction, unfortunately, does not offer an authentic or humane experience. The lions here are far from their natural habitat, and the constant human interaction can severely impact their well-being. Wild animals belong in the wild, where they can exhibit natural behaviors and live free from the stress of captivity and human handling. This type of attraction often prioritizes tourist entertainment over the health and dignity of the animals. If you love wildlife, I would urge you to look for more ethical ways to appreciate and support these magnificent creatures. There are wildlife sanctuaries and conservation projects that focus on protecting natural habitats and respecting the animals' needs, providing a much more responsible way to engage with wildlife. Let's be mindful of the impact our choices have on animals and opt for experiences that help conserve and protect them in the long run. Wild animals deserve our respect and protection, not exploitation for entertainment.
Sal S — Google review
Absolutely terrible and cruel to take baby lions from their mothers and raise them harshly to please uneducated and selfish tourists. There are so many happy lions in the wild, go on a safari and see for yourself. They don’t want to be touched and if you appreciate them, you should respect that. I did not and will not support such a business.

I just came to this site by a trip advisor. Haven't been there . I don't know if its the same place but thos whole thing seems wrong. Its in a city. Just like a zoo? No wide nature? Don't know. Support local businesses so you actually help the country but always ask whenever something is ethical and cruelty free . Finally in the piramid of gizah no more camel rides. We conquered the raging level 5 rapids of the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe. This was hands down the craziest white water river rafting I've ever experienced! The Zambezi River is well renowned for it's rafting and it's rated in the top 5 places in the world to river raft. What starts off as a casual level 2 rapid turns into a washing machine monster! I actually got thrown into the crocodile infested water on a level 5 rapid called the Terminator and got swept downstream for quite a distance until I was saved, it was scary! If you want some crazy adrenaline on the water, do this! Don't hesitate!

As others have said, Marvel and the team's poor planning and poor communication sadly made this experience one that we regret. Look elsewhere for your safaris! Other tour companies warned us that road conditions to Hwange were not safe but Marvel reassured us it wouldn't be a problem. They collected hundreds of dollars from us and sure enough, we popped a tire on the way to the park had multiple car breakdowns in the park that cut our safari time by several hours. We asked for a partial refund and Marvel initially agreed, but after MONTHS of back and forth the refund was never fulfilled and they just ended up ignoring our emails and WhatsApp messages. I hope in the future the company has more integrity to not run tours it's not equipped to and to actually provide the refunds they promised.
Emily X — Google review
Buyer beware! My experience with this company was marred by numerous miscommunications and poor planning from Marvel and his team. While the logistics for the Victoria Falls portion went somewhat smoothly, I strongly advise against using this company for any travel arrangements beyond Victoria Falls, such as camping or safari trips. The itinerary we discussed was never finalized, forcing us to plan our own trip at the last minute. To make matters worse, there was no lodging available in Savuti, and despite Marvel’s claims that this was an easy issue to resolve, we learned that all accommodations need to be booked at least two weeks in advance. On a positive note, the campsite we stayed at in Chobe was excellent and comes highly recommended; it was safe and well-maintained. However, this minor highlight does not outweigh the overall dissatisfaction with the planning process. While Chef Pete and our tour guide were fantastic, it’s disappointing that they were third-party providers and not directly affiliated with the company. Overall, I cannot recommend Victoria Falls Serious Travel for any serious travel planning.

Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park offers a compact but rewarding wildlife experience. While it doesn’t have big cats like lions, leopards, or cheetahs due to its size, the park is home to an impressive range of animals. Visitors can expect to see southern white rhinos, which are a major highlight, as well as elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, baboons, impalas, crocodiles, vultures, and a wide variety of bird species. One unique feature of the park is the opportunity to get out of the vehicle and walk safely to view rhinos at close range—something not commonly offered in larger parks. Overall, Mosi-oa-Tunya is a great option for wildlife viewing, especially for those interested in diverse animal sightings in a shorter timeframe. I would highly recommend the TripAdvisor half-day Safari for this park as it’s good value.
