Park
The Mediterraneo Marine Park is a vibrant and complex water park that offers various interesting features such as swimming pools, waterfalls and gardens. It also houses restaurants, bars and a casino to cater to different interests. The water in the pool is salty but refreshing for those who prefer sunbathing over swimming. Despite being cold, once you're through it the experience becomes enjoyable. The park boasts of its cleanliness with fresh and quiet surroundings making it an ideal place for relaxation during September afternoons.
Amazing spot for chilling, eating and boozing! Lovely drop
Shambles — Google review
Honestly great place, you must brave the cold water tho. There is food and snacks and coffee almost everywhere around and a bar in the middle of the water. The only issue I have is how you have to go get the mats for the beds and umbrellas in different places and sometimes far from where you sit.
Abla C — Google review
Salty and really cold water. Goal is more staying in the sun then swimming pool. One you're through it is nice. For me: it took me one hour... 😁
L. M — Google review
Place looks nice, BUT!!! Zero service, people does not know even a word in english. I had to go to other side of park just to get the umbrella, no information at all about what is included to the ticket.

The House of Dragons is a remarkable tourist attraction that was designed by the distinguished architect José María Pérez in 1905. The building features magnificent architecture and is embellished with bronze dragons on its rooftop, adding to its unique charm. This elegant structure is not only beautiful but also showcases the creativity and brilliance of the renowned architect who created it.
Excursion to Ceuta, SP. Very Nice spanish territory, situaded north Martil Fnideq Mdik . We had to cross the border. It was fast entering but Turning back took more time getting back to morocco. FREE BEACH all equiped with shower, lifegard, ect. We ate on the beach. Great place. The town has a neo colonial past. Nice architecture.
Pierre R — Google review
Beautiful but couldn’t see the inside. The House of Dragons gets its name from the four large, menacing dragon sculptures perched on the corners of its rooftop. These dragons were originally made of cast iron and are a significant symbol of the building. However, during the Spanish Civil War, the dragons were removed to prevent them from being damaged. They were missing for decades until 2006, when replicas were installed, restoring the building to its former glory. This building is a prime example of eclectic modernist architecture and is a beloved landmark in Ceuta, often attracting both tourists and locals due to its distinctive and fantastical appearance.

Historical landmark
Ceuta, being a relatively small city, doesn't have an abundance of museums. However, there are a handful worth visiting like The Revellin Museum (also known as the Ceuta City Museum), Military Museum of the Legion, and The Royal Walls Museum. In the city center, there are various bars, pubs, and restaurants where both locals and travelers can socialize. Additionally, one can relax and enjoy the scenic views from the promenade.
Definitely try to visit the wall inside. It’s something that you for sure don’t expect. I didn’t want to upload fotos because it can not present not even close how it is there..

Beautiful place, the best in cueta, in my opinion.
Yassir A — Google review
We recently enjoyed a 10-night Western Mediterranean Cruise on the MSC Lirica sailing from Alicante (cost £420 each in January).  The sixth stop was Ceuta and from the port there was a short walk to all the main attractions including the Murallas Reales de Ceuta (Royal Walls of Ceuta).   The Royal Walls is a well maintained fort that dates back to the 16th century. At the fort there are lots of artefacts including cannons The fortress walls are divided by a moat that connects both the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.  From the top of the moat there are fantastic views of the port, Mount Hacho (mountain) and the beaches Playa de la Ribera and Playa del Chorrillo. The Royal walls are surrounded by the historical city of Ceuta that has beautiful fountains, monuments (Hercules, Escultura Pedro Meneses, Escultura de Enrique el Navegant, Escultura del Alcalde Sanchez Prados and so on), gardens and squares including Plaza de Africa and Plaza de los Reyes. There are also a number of museums including the Military Museum of the Legion, Fuerte del Desnarigado fort and museum, the Museo del Revellín and the Museo de la Basilica Tardorromana. Other attractions include the Triumphal arch, the casino, the Cathedral, the House of Dragons,  Puerto Califal Fort, Ceuta Park Mall, the Shrine of Our Lady of Africa, the lighthouse Faro Punta Almin, the food market Mercado Central and Park San Amaro. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ceuta, because we felt relaxed, the people were very friendly and there was so much to do and see We would definitely recommend a visit to both Ceuta and the Royal Walls.

The Museo de la Basilica Tardorromana is an underground museum that showcases the remains of an ancient basilica dating back to the late 4th or early 5th century. Discovered during street work in the 1980s, this well-preserved basilica is the centerpiece of the museum's archaeological tour, which also features artifacts from prehistory, ancient history, and medieval times.
Found underground in the early 90s by chance, the Basilica represents ancient history at the heart of the city center. Must visit!

(Translated by Google) Excellent museographic discourse based on the recovery and enhancement of a site of medium interest but which serves as an argument to narrate the entire history of the city, from its semi-legendary origins to well into the Modern Age. In addition to the excellently well-preserved remains of the early Christian site, pieces are displayed, mostly original, found in various archaeological excavations or in underwater dives throughout the land and water area of the city. The museum classification is very clear, with explanatory signs and open spaces, strategically illuminated, that narrate the daily life of the city's inhabitants in all its aspects and periods. The exhibition is completed by successive models and plans of the urban, peri-urban and walled layout of Ceuta at each moment in its history, evoking the places where today, traces of what is explained in this Museum can be seen. Admission is free and I think it is highly recommended for all audiences but especially for schoolchildren and young people. I felt very satisfied after the explanatory video and after my visit I toured Ceuta with another perspective, perhaps a more insightful one, thanks to what I had learned.

The Baño árabe de la plaza de la Paz is a captivating historical site that transports visitors back to the 12th century, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Spain. The interior of the church offers a stunning panorama, showcasing the timeless elegance that is synonymous with traditional religious structures. The cathedral, known as the Cathedral of the Assumption in occupied Ceuta, boasts a mesmerizing sight from within its walls. Its intricate design and architectural grandeur captivate onlookers, evoking a sense of awe and reverence. With its rich historical significance and sacred atmosphere, this catholic edifice exemplifies the inherent beauty associated with such venerable places of worship.
Beautiful view from inside the church, traditional church was always beautiful
Benedictus L — Google review
. . The most interesting thing about this cathedral is the number and size of the weddings. The outside is fairly ordinary, just painted pink and white, and the interior is not of great interest either, just painted white and grey. The nearby church of Our Lady of Africa rather outshines it with its glorious gold-leaf interior. But the weddings! The wedding parties arrive and you are overwhelmed with the elegant outfits of the guests and the flamboyant dress of the bride. You'll see that in Spanish fashion, just as the bride is led to the altar by her father, the groom is led by his mother. And if, as it is fairly often, Ceuta being a military garrison, it's a military wedding, then the swords come out to make an arch of honour as the couple leaves the ceremony. If you are in the Parador it's worth asking for a room with a view of the cathedral front, so you can watch all this in comfort from your balcony. :-) ,

Pretty sad. Up to two thirds of the stalls are closed. The escalators are out of order. The place just looks unloved. Loads of halal stalls and Moroccan cake shops, far fewer proper charcuteries or butchers which is what I was seeking. There are a couple of bars that were doing a trade. In fact, it seems that the space is too small despite having several floors. They also organize guided tours that must be arranged in advance. Playa del Chorillo is a beautiful beach that offers a serene atmosphere for swimming, sunbathing, water activities, and lounging under umbrellas. This beach holds great sentimental value for many individuals who have fond memories of visiting it with their families. Its history is rich and cherished by those who visit it, making it a beloved destination.
We recently enjoyed a 10-night Western Mediterranean Cruise on the MSC Lirica sailing from Alicante (cost £420 each in January).  The sixth stop was Ceuta and there was a short walk to all the main attractions including Playa del Chorrillo. It was very warm day for February and the beach was busy with families, couples, groups and solo visitors. The 1.2 km beach was very clean with amazing views. This was a perfect location to enjoy a picnic or lunch at one of the beach bars (open in the summer). In the summer there are lots of water sports including kayaking and canoeing, it is possible to use the inflatable slides in the sea or to hire sunbeds and umbrellas. The beach was a short walk from the centre of Ceuta, which was beautiful with parks, fountains, plazas, museums, monuments and historical buildings including the House of Dragons, the Cathedral, the fort, Murallas Reales de Ceuta, the Triumphal arch, Faro Punta Almin lighthouse and Fuerte del Desnarigado fort.

Mountain peak
Monte Hacho, a renowned mountain peak, boasts of an age-old fortress and military museum that is situated on its mountainside. This iconic summit is primarily famous for its panoramic views of the surrounding area. The peak's historic fortification and associated exhibits serve as a testament to the region's rich cultural heritage. Monte Hacho's breathtaking vistas attract visitors from all over the world, making it a must-visit destination for tourists seeking to explore the natural wonders of this picturesque mountain range.
Monte Hacho is a low mountain that disregards the Spanish city of Ceuta, on the north shore of Africa. Monte Hacho is situated on the Mediterranean drift at the Strait of Gibraltar inverse Gibraltar, and alongside the Rock of Gibraltar is guaranteed by some to be one of the Pillars of Hercules the other contender for the southern column being Jebel Musa. As indicated by the legend Hercules pushed separated the two mountains and made a connection between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. In established human progress it was known as Mons Abila Mount Abila or Abyla. Monte Hacho is an important hill that dominates the city. For this reason, it is a strategic spot, it being in itself a fort, because of its height. In this hill sit the forts of Hacho and Desnarigado, the latter being the present Army Museum. Monte Hacho is crowned by seven peaks. In one of them there is a lighthouse, which gives it its name: La Farola. At the top we find the hermitage of San Antonio, a place where popular pilgrimages are celebrated. Also at the top is San Amaro Park, home to a diverse flora. Monte Hacho is situated on the Peninsula de Almina and beaten by a stronghold, the Fortaleza de Hacho, which was first worked by the Byzantines, previously being added to by the Arabs, Portuguese and Spanish. It is currently involved by the Spanish armed force. Monte Hacho likewise has a religious community, Ermita de San Antonio, and Monumento del Llano Amarillo which is a landmark to Generalisimo Francisco Franco and the beginning of the Spanish Civil War in North Africa in 1936.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Africa has its origins in the Portuguese crown, with a small church built in the early 15th century. Initially considered a sanctuary, it holds appreciable heritage such as the baptismal font. The history of the Sanctuary dates back to 1421 when the image of Lady of Africa was sent to Ceuta by Don Enrique the Navigator. The primitive temple is believed to be identified with the head of the current Sanctuary, featuring baroque architecture.

. Fairly uninteresting outside, just a rather ordinary church painted pink and white. Although I suppose that for a Brit, a pink-painted church is slightly of interest! However inside it is overwhelming with the gold-leaf decorations pulling your eyes into the altar and the statue of Our Lady of Africa, the patron saint of the town of Ceuta, and the origin of the girl's name "Africa" which you hear here as mothers call their toddlers to them in the park. .

It has recently undergone significant renovations, although the main drawback is that, due to the infamous Historical Memory Law, many pieces of historical interest from the Franco era or those with similar symbols, such as paintings, plaques, and weapons, were removed a couple of years ago. It's a shame that the original museum with all the history it once held can no longer be seen. A well-deserved visit to the Sala Museo De Regulares offers a comprehensive understanding of Ceuta's history and its significance. The museum, accompanied by knowledgeable staff from the Corps, provides valuable insights into this important part of Ceuta's past. Notably, on specific dates such as Army Day, Ceuta Day, and December 8th, visitors may have the opportunity to witness preparations or parades.
I arrived at the Barracks Gate not realising that the Museum is situated inside a working Military Base.As I don’t speak Spanish I waited for a while until the Guard Commander found a young Regulare who spoke good English to show me around. My guide was very informative and extremely helpful and guided me through the exhibits explaining with great pride the history of this famous unit. I felt privileged to be able to see the marvellous architecture of the Base and cannot thank the guys enough for my visit and treatment while there. I would highly recommend a visit to this marvellous Museum if you are in Ceuta.

(Translated by Google) The guided tour of the barracks is more than interesting. It is recommended for anyone interested in historical facts, not just military history. The guide was a walking encyclopedia of the history of this particular military unit and very hospitable. It is obvious that he is passionate about what he does. As it is a functioning barracks, the visit has even more added value, because when do you have the opportunity to see a barracks from the inside? The Mora Room is, of course, the centerpiece. One does not expect to find such a beautiful room in a building with such a simple exterior. It is an unexpected pleasant shock to enter the Hall. On the tour of the different buildings you see many details such as benches with very detailed images of tiles that give a special touch. I would recommend anyone visiting Ceuta to book the guided tour.

(Translated by Google) Sculptural tribute to the first Portuguese governor of Ceuta (1434 - 1437) Pedro de Meneses (1370 - 1437) Legend has it that no knight responded to the request of John I of Portugal to govern and defend Ceuta, except the young Don Pedro who was playing hockey 🏒 Then, he raised his stick and responded to the monarch that with that single stick, the aleo, It was enough to fight the Moors. And indeed, since 1415 and on seven occasions, he demonstrated it. Since then, he has been represented with the stick and the aleo that belonged to him is currently carried by the venerated image of Our Lady of Africa, Patroness of the city of Ceuta. Furthermore, when the military commanders take possession in Ceuta, they give themselves a replica of the alloy and commit to defending Ceuta as Pedro de Meneses did. All of this adapted to defend against the artillery power achieved by the military technology of the 18th century. From 1814 to 1979 it was a prison. First, General although with a preeminence of political prisoners and, since 1910, military prison. The conditions for the inmates were very harsh, so riots frequently occurred. One of them was put down by the heroine of the Sieges of Zaragoza, Agustina de Aragón, who lived in Ceuta and was respected by the prisoners. In his honor, one of the patios was named, where, according to tradition, he successfully harangued the convicts to calm them down. The interior of the barracks retains renovated cells, cisterns and penitentiary staff quarters. It can be visited for free, upon request by email. The views of the city of Ceuta and the Strait of Gibraltar are spectacular.

The "Monumento a Yosef Ben Yehuda" is a tribute to the remarkable figure of Josef Ben Yehuda, who was not only an esteemed Jewish astronomer and mathematician but also a dedicated physician. Born in Ceuta during its flourishing Almohad era in 1161, he became a prominent disciple of Maimonides. His contributions as a philosopher, poet, and writer enriched Hebrew literature until his passing in Aleppo in 1220.
