Stunning Chateau with much less tourists visiting than Versailles. The views were stunning and my favorite part was walking the town after and eating at a local restaurant. You will need to get the audio guide to listen in English because the web app for the audio is only in french

Loved it. It is a beautiful palace with amazing gardens. Abundance of history. I love visiting historic places. Would have been nice if they offered guided tours in English, currently they only have guided tours in French. Absolutely recommend a visit. The town is also worth visiting.

Speaking of the inside, it's the most amazing place I have visited...comparing to Vienna Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Be there at 9:30am you you may get lucky like we did and have the grand ballroom all to ourselves. Don't forget to get a picture outside on the double staircase.

• Timing & Tickets: We visited in early November. On the first Sunday of November and December, entrance is free. We booked the free tickets online in advance, so we didn’t need to buy any. • Gardens: The gardens were just starting to show autumn colors. The mix of red, yellow, and orange in the trees was stunning and very peaceful. • Museum & Visit: The castle museum was great to explore and very family-friendly. • Facilities: There’s a café on site, but you can also bring your own food and have a simple picnic in the park.

It is a stunning castle, not too far from Paris and rivals the overcrowded Versailles Castle. Here we were able to visit and admire in peace the grand halls, gardens and parks of the castle. It was wonderful.

I like this way more than Versailles, very Peaceful. I didn’t go inside due to lack of time but the walk around the garden was stunning. From Paris you can take the SNCF R train from Lyon to Fountainbleu-Avon and then take bus 3401 to get here. If your ticket includes zone 5 or if you have Paris Visitor Pass then you don’t have to buy extra tickets for those rides.

Amazing place and as it was a freezing cold day in November we practically had the place to ourselves. Easy and cheap to get there on public transit. The Napoleon gallery was interesting.

As far as equestrian centres go this is very well maintained and organised.

This is more of a park than a garden. It is rather large so I opted to pay the 8 euros to transverse the whole thing efficiently by this mini white train they have. The ride is bumpy so you can barely hear the audio guide over the sound of wheels on cobblestones. It definitely gets better further into the park and they do address some history and the statues in the park!

Very cute garden, deserves a shot at visiting. The visit is free and can last from 10 minutes to as long as you want. Known for the Diane statue in the middle of it.

We just visited in mid March so didn’t see too much blooms but at least the grass is green and some bushes had flowering. It has some small streams and beautiful mini bamboo bushes for exotic look.

The Gardens are very english after their name. I went back to my memories when I walked through these Gardens.

An average garden by French standard. Quite basic with grass field anda few statues. We live right next to Luxembourg garden and pay frequent visit to it. Also been to Versailles and Loire Valley só this is substandard for us. If you only visit Paris for a few days and save your time and visit other gardens/ castles instead.

This is a wonderful, small museum based in a former auberge where painters of the Barbizon School stayed. You can see where they decorated many of the surfaces in the dining rooms and where they doodled in the dormitory rooms. Also a display of paintings by a number of artists. Explanations are only in French, but there are English subtitles on a short video that is well worth watching. We loved this museum!

When in the area go check it out, you won't be disappointed. The panoramic view is great. Park your car at Carrefour de la croix de Toulouse. This is roundabout at the crossing of D116 and D138 surrounded by a car park. Then it's a 20 minute walk, first part is paved and the last minutes a small trail to the top. Easy and fun walk with the whole family.

We had the pleasure of staying at Château de Brinville four nights – and it was a truly wonderful experience. The beautifully restored manor/château is full of history, and the authentic, spacious rooms offer views over the magnificent garden, which is filled with flowers and fruit trees. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and kind, and you quickly feel like a guest in their private home. Breakfast is a classic French delight, with fresh fruit and homemade jam from their own garden. It’s a wonderful experience to enjoy breakfast, as well as afternoon or evening tea, in the charming lounges or out in the beautiful garden. The château is located just a 30-minute drive from Paris, in perfectly peaceful and quiet surroundings. A stay here is more than just an overnight accommodation – it’s a personal and authentic experience, where the hosts are happy to share stories about the renovation work and the life in their beautiful garden. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Daniel and Jöel run a fabulous chateau. Peaceful. We traveled a lot while there but next time we are staying there and drinking champagne!
