Bormio Terme Spa is a must-visit in the charming village of Bormio, nestled in the mountains of Valtellina. This Italian town boasts rich historical and artistic heritage, making it an ideal destination for travelers seeking cultural immersion and natural beauty. The spa is divided into two main complexes: Bagni Vecchi (Old Baths), with a history dating back to the first century BC, and Bagni Nuovi (New Baths) established in 1836 AD.
A lovely spot that’s definitely worth checking out! Ideal for families and on a sunny day.I highly recommend it for their fantastic massages.

Nice spa hotel in Italian alps Worth the visit for relaxing weekend. Food in the restaurant was also very nice

This is a weird wonderful place. We discovered sort of accidentally last year, and returned this year. My wife is already planning our return again. We love it.
Erin M — Google review
Nice, clean and enjoyable enviroment. Enjoyed very much the warm water swimming pool and jacuzzi observing fantastic view of snowy mountains in front. Isnt that cool? Lunch time went to the restaurant inside which is also accessible to people from tge street. So, I felt quite awkward sitting there with wet hair wearing wardrobe while others were dressed usual. Food and service was good though. Loved the experience. Recommend it!
Nataly * — Google review
Very minimal and simple, clean. But looks like too small areas and no control for how many people can stay at a time - we were not in high season but all places were more than full. Hard to even find a spot to chill. Only adults area is even smaller so too crowded, area for everybody full with children and grown ups, i mean full - no edge of the pools was free to chill. Overal it is nice and very basic, but compaired to other places - little bit disapointing :)
Gerda Ž — Google review
The pools are not warm enough to give the relaxing feeling a termal bath should, and the sauna is no different, more like the hot relaxing room you chill in between having a proper sauna session. The staff are running around and micromanaging everyone, in a rude way reminding of all the rules has to be obeyed at all times. Its not a welcome feeling. And considering the 50euro we payed it feelt like a robbery, considering how little you actually get.
Andreas U — Google review
Amazing and unforgettable, strongly recommended. There are several different pools with warm water, each one with different panoramic views in different floors. There are a lot of facilities for the families and their children to enjoy even for the whole day. In addition to that, there are also many different water message categories and trying all of them is really something. There is a semi Olympics pool for those who may feel the need of a bit more professional expectations. Last but not least, the covid measures are controlled and you have to have a green pass to enter.
Salman K — Google review
In the spa, there is only one finish sauna and one steam. A relaxation zone is put together with a playground for a children. There is an obligation to wear a cap. There is no pool with really thermal water.

Restaurant
Ristorante Vecchia Combo is a cozy spot that offers a warm Alpine ski look and serves up delicious Pizzoccheri pasta, meat stews, polenta, and local wines. The restaurant has been in business for over 50 years and is a favorite among both tourists and locals in Bormio.
What can I say about this traditional family restaurant? The most delicious food we’ve ever had in Bormio, Valtellina. 💯👌🥰🤤 Definitely the best restaurant in town! My husband and I went for lunch and ordered some Taroz for antipasto (made with potatoes, green beans, lots of cheese and butter) and some Pizzocheri - primo piatto (both generous portions). The Taroz was delicious and the Pizzocheri was divine! The overall experience: food, service, atmosphere and location is excellent, 100% recommended. This restaurant is usually open for lunch and dinner, but since it’s a bit far from downtown, I would recommend to call and make a reservation. Do not hesitate to check it out! They have a tasting menu starting at 30 euros. We spent 47€ (antipasto, two Pizzocheri, a liter of house wine, water and two espresso coffee) 😲😊 Undoubtedly, a fantastic Valtellinese experience!
MarcelaG — Google review
Very good restaurant with authentic tasty regional food. The team is very friendly. Service is quick. You have to try the Pizzocheri. It’s to die for..
François D — Google review
Pros. - most of the food is tasty, and the staff is nice and smiling. Cons. - Flies was eating with us, many of them, they are brave entering to the plates. The last pork dish is not tasty - at all. There is no normal English menu. They compensate us with 2 more free desserts, was okay. It was nice local food experiences, but we will not return here, sorry.

The place is beautiful and service is good. The food was fine but not wow. It is important to order a table ahead of time as it gets busy.

❄️ Snowed mountain atmosphere🏔️, 🪑🎀very cozy restaurant 🍽️ with delicious local food 🥰. Good and effective service from the local attired staff from the waiters to the chef 👩🏻‍🍳with warm smiles 😊.

We had an amazing and locally authentic dinner here based on a recommendation from a local resident. Exceptional - and highly recommended.

This was a delicious and special meal we stopped for while driving through the mountains. It has a homey feel and is set in the cutest village. Their pizzacheri was delicious, but I think my favorite was the mushrooms and polenta. SO GOOD.

The Museo Civico di Bormio offers a fascinating and valuable insight into the history and traditions of the local area. It is abundant in art, culture, and boasts a stunning garden. This small museum provides an excellent glimpse into life during ancient times in northern Italy. The museum is meticulously maintained, showcasing its commitment to preserving the past. Overall, it offers an enriching experience for visitors seeking to understand the heritage and customs of Bormio without relying on personal anecdotes.
Very big civil museum with 3 floors, took about 15 years to complete and it has very interesting contents to see. Absolutely worth it to visit, the old carriages were very interesting and the old ski equipments. Would even visit again to pass the time because I've enjoyed the vintage vibe so much

(Translated by Google) I visited the Civic Museum of Bormio on August 13th. thanks to a brochure found in the hotel where I was staying. Arranged on three floors of an ancient building, this museum will give you the opportunity to see old agricultural tools, woodworking machinery, horse-drawn carriages, kitchen utensils, pairs of wooden skis, typical local clothes etc. It is really worth visiting because the complete tour lasts less than an hour while the cost of entry is incredibly low: only €5 per person. I recommend it to all those parents who want to introduce their children to traditions and customs of the past.

(Translated by Google) VERY BEAUTIFUL AND INTERESTING experience A blast from the past that despite the snow...warms the heart! Oh yes, because at the beginning it didn't seem to promise who knows what... it was "just" a civic museum. And instead….WOW!!! The first two rooms mainly contained religious material donated by the citizens and the noble family of the palace but then…. Crafts, artisanal tools, objects, clothes and ancient passions that made us relive what was the everyday life of the inhabitants of these mountains. Tools for weaving wool, making cheese and making cured meats. A room with vintage carriages and stagecoaches, another that reproduced a kitchen with all the tools obtained from artisanal workmanship, yet another with a large loom and sewing machines that perhaps we had only seen in our grandmothers and also tools of the cobblers (cobblers) Very kind lady at the reception. The only small flaw in the middle of two rooms of the historic building: the exhibition of Linus who, although an important author, seemed very out of context. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! CONSIGLIATISSIMO!

(Translated by Google) Disgraceful customer service! I showed up without a printed voucher, but with an email containing the booking number, voucher number, and online check-in already completed. The receptionist asked me for the voucher (paper or digital), but without it, she couldn't let us in. I reiterated that since the voucher was on my work email (purchased through company welfare) and I couldn't access my work email from my personal phone, I wouldn't be able to retrieve it. But I did have an email with the booking and voucher number, as well as identification documents... Nope, every time I asked how we could resolve the issue, the answer was "you need a paper voucher." Worse than the Italian Post Office! A complete lack of flexibility and common sense towards two people who had traveled three hours and were taking time off work. Oh, and we were also shushed for disturbing another couple's check-in. In 2023, almost 24, when it is possible to fly only with your name and identity card, without any proof of a paper ticket, be scandalous, suitable only for an audience of 80-year-olds still obsessed with Christmas Holidays 1915. Never again.

Bormio-Bormio 2000 is a picturesque location surrounded by lush greenery, offering stunning views and unique natural surroundings for nature enthusiasts in the summer. In the winter, it transforms into a skiing paradise with excellent ski lifts and unforgettable panoramic vistas. The area features various dining options including restaurants and pizzerias with outdoor seating and sun decks, catering to individuals, groups, and families alike.
Good for firsttimers two small slops for practising your skills. There are ski schools which offer skilled trainers with quite reasonable price (around 45 €/h). Nestled in the charming town of Bormio, Al Filò is a culinary gem that transports you back to the 1600s with its stunning vaulted cellar adorned with exposed bricks. This restaurant beautifully embodies northern Italian cuisine, offering a diverse menu filled with traditional dishes featuring local ingredients like pork, rabbit, and deer meat. The warm and inviting atmosphere enhances your dining experience as you savor seasonal delights—during my visit in February, pumpkin and artichoke were highlights on the menu.
Delicious food, professional service and cosy atmosphere of the local. Best lamb I’ve ever had! Deserts were served with the finest touch. Everything was beautifully and appetizingly looking. This food spot cannot be omitted when in Bormio.

The instructors were very friendly and it was A ONE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE!!!! highly recommended!!

Good place if you are intermediate, for beginners not so much to do. Red slopes are interesting, very good for practicing your skills. I liked the place. Ski pistes are well crafted - reds can be managed with blue periods so you don’t get exhausted to fast. Chair from bormio2000 very efficient, you don’t lose much time. Longest ski run I had today was 9km from top to the bottom, many options with 5km as well as 3km. You can mix runs etc. Prices sensible. 77km in a day, late March

A great ski resort suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. There are many different routes to take, with well-marked and groomed slopes. In good weather, the mountain views are stunning – the kind you immediately want to share with someone. There are plenty of bars and rest stops along the way, perfect for a bombardino or aperol break while watching others tackle the slopes. Some sections are really great, especially the faster ones with panoramic views. :) (instagram --> michaelnae)

When visiting Bormio, don't miss the Torre della Bajona o delle Ore, also known as the Civic Tower. This imposing and characteristic tower in Piazza Cavour has been a symbol of the town since medieval times. The name "Bajona" comes from the large bell that once summoned citizens to meetings and tolled for important occasions.
(Translated by Google) The Torre delle Ore - or Civic Tower - is an imposing 14th century bell tower that dominates the heart of the historic centre, becoming itself a symbol of Bormio in the central Piazza Cavour. Also known as Torre della Bajona, it takes its name from the large bell which, thanks to its extraordinary dimensions, in the past with its tolling called the population of the town and the surrounding valleys to gather in the Kuerc to attend the meetings of the Council and actively participate to the administration of the town, but also marking the life of the people, the owners' celebrations and events of threats and danger. Not only that: the Tower delimited the ancient walls of the city border and, together with 31 other towers in the surrounding area, served as a defensive system. In this regard, legend has it that, playing loudly to alarm the town of the imminent invasion of the Visconti troops, the Bajona fell from the bell tower, shattering. Legend aside, the bell was actually destroyed following the Visconti invasion in 1376 and the bells that ring today were obtained from the fusion of that one extraordinary bell. Damaged over the centuries, renovated and partially destroyed by the fire of 1855, it still survives today, with its reassuring power and completely restored façade, where a timepiece sundial (hence Torre delle Ore) and the ancient coat of arms of the municipality are visible of Bormio.

A classic Italian clock tower you simply can’t miss in Bormio. It rises above Piazza Cavour, acting like a quiet guardian of the historic center. Its functional clock still marks time both visually and audibly, giving the town a timeless rhythm. The tower dates back to the Middle Ages and once served as a bell tower and public watchtower. It was named after the large bell “Bajona” that used to hang inside. You can't climb it today, but it’s impressive enough just looking up from the square. A perfect landmark for exploring the old town. :)

(Translated by Google) The Torre della Bajona - also called Torre delle Ore or Torre Civica - is a tower located in Bormio, in Piazza Cavour - or Piazza del Kuerc. Imposing and very characteristic, it is the bell tower of the town. The first written testimonies date back to the 14th century, although it is likely that it was built a century or two earlier. The tower takes its name from the Bajona, the large bell that gathered citizens or tolled important occasions. The bell was recast, following various damages suffered, in the 17th century. The two bells obtained have survived until now and still ring from the top of the Tower. The façade of the Tower is dominated by the clock, surrounded by a fresco - now only present in a small part - where the coats of arms of Bormio can be seen in the four corners, a white cross on a red field. With a perimeter at the base of approximately 32 metres, it features a swallowtail battlement - a sign of Ghibelline affiliation - which highlights the community's support for the emperor.

Words can’t describe how grateful I am for stumbling upon Paolo’s and Sara’s bike shop! My only day to ride the famous Stelvio Pass started of a bit negative with a bike hire place in Lake Como. I booked and paid a deposit with them months ago, confirmed the day before, to then be told on the day no one is there to give me the bike! Annoyed, I was now a bit late making our way to Bormio. We desperately started searching for bike hire places in Bormio on the phone. The thing was, now we would arrive around lunchtime and you quickly learn in Italy that most shops close for lunch for several hours then reopen in the afternoon. We eventually got in touch with Sara, and she very was welcoming and empathetic to my situation. She organised for Paolo to open up during his lunchtime, which I felt terrible about but his was so hospitable and easy going that hiring a bike from him was a pleasure. In terms of service and wish I could give them 10 stars! In terms of the bike hire, we did a quick setup, Paolo fitted my pedals I brought with from Australia. The bike functioned perfectly and I was impressed I was able to hire a carbon fibre road bike, with disc brakes and electronic 12 speed shifting. For those asking, it was a full Sram Force AXS eTap 12 speed group-set so almost the best of the best in the Sram line up. Highly recommend this shop and the next time I go back to Bormio I’ll definitely be hiring another bike from Spot-On bike shop. I’ll need to stay longer in Bormio instead of attempting Stelvio and other climbs in one day, but that’s all the time I had there. P.S The Stelvio Pass is the most stunning and breathtaking climbs I’ve ever done, a must do if your a cycling nutcase!

What a very good service and very friendly people. Paolo and 2 other employees fixed my rear brake. I thought it only needed oil, but in the end it appeared to be broken. So immediately they changed my old brake for a new one for a low price. Multo grazie Paolo

Best bike hire shop in Italy. A big thanks to Paolo and Sara,s, Without this shop i would not have been able to ride Granfondo Stelvio Santini 2022, They so looked after me for my trip to Bormio so friendly and so helpfull as i was on my own. I was able to use shop as my base these people are the reason i would go back there again and again.

Paulo in the service department was exceptional. I came in with an OG 5 bolt chainring set up looking for 50/34t rings to swap out my 52/36 oval rings. Last shop that we checked in Bormio that had the necessary parts. Paulo was able to help that day too which I was super happy with. Picked up the bike at end of day and everything worked very well. Thank you Paulo! And he didn’t even make fun of me for my mish mash set-up on my Shimpagnolo drivetrain 😉😉 In all seriousness, I recommend Paulo and this shop very highly. Will be back!

Top service, incredibly nice and helpful staff. Customer friendly! I had mechanical problems with my new Canyon Roadbike, two other services in Bormio couldn’t have helped me, but they recommended me the Spot-on Shop. The owner of the shop Paolo came extra early on Sunday to help us. After trying all tricks the bike could not get repaired unfortunately, but he immediately offered me one of the super nice rental bikes from the brand Hersh. He saved our bike holiday. The Hersh bike was very nice to ride, the electric shifting and suitable gears are perfect for climbing the passes around Bormio. I can only agree with the good references below and warmly recommend the Spot on Shop. Thank you very much Paolo! I wish there would be more people like you!

(Translated by Google) One of the most beautiful walks to take in Bormio, especially in the October-November period to enjoy the colors and colorful scenery of the foliage characteristic of this period, is the Pedemontana path which extends along the entire upper slope of Bormio along the Rait mountain . The path is rather soft and is easy to walk on foot also because it does not contain any steep slopes. It is a path that induces a lot of relaxation and serenity with the possibility of becoming inebriated with the characteristic scents and smells of the forest. This oghi was more colorful than ever with color effects of true autumn. Therefore, following the bends of the paths, seeing the different images of panoramas over Bormio and on the opposite side of the Rait, passing the sheep pastures, still seeing some last examples of crazy mushrooms, we then arrived at the Pian del Rait picnic area, a beautiful open and well-equipped space for an excellent break. So here are wooden benches, large tables where you can eat your snacks and even two embers where you can roast delicacies of meat, cheese and vegetables...... The view is absolutely priceless! We will definitely repeat as we have done in the past.... Val Zebrù is a stunning valley located above Bormio, offering magical landscapes and diverse walking trails suitable for all levels of difficulty. The route from Niblogo spans 12 km of dirt road accessible to all, with the first refreshment point at approximately 1600 m altitude. As you ascend, passing through Zebru outside and Zebru inside, you'll reach the camp cabins at 2000 m altitude.
A truly magical place... Forget about phone signal and immerse yourself in nature! As we departed late in the day we stopped at one of the picnic tables before the Baita Del Pastore, I am sure it's even better if you continue further into the valley. It's easy to walk on the dirt road with plenty of signals. Many water fountains to replenish your bottles along the way. So beautiful ❤️

(Translated by Google) Spectacular nature, but be careful on the main trail!!! Val Zebrù is a magnificent part of the Stelvio National Park, rich in wildlife and spectacular views. Along the way, you may spot ibex, chamois, and marmots, immersed in a landscape of woods, meadows, and streams. Unfortunately, the main trail follows a dirt road often used by cars, which greatly spoils the experience for those seeking silence and total immersion in nature. It's better, if possible, to opt for the side trails to fully experience the magic of this valley. I recommend it only for those who want a very peaceful walk, practically entirely on flat ground. For those who truly love nature and prefer trails immersed in nature, I recommend something else.

The location of the building of Romanesque origins right at the intersection of three streets allows you to see it well and appreciate it from all sides. The façade with a simple marble portal with a single arch preserves some admirable frescoes. The left side is characterized by the presence of the high bell tower. The right side shows a beautiful fresco with the Crucified Christ. On the back there is an apse which reveals its Romanesque origins. The interior is extremely simple and very prone to meditation. At the end of the nave you can see a wooden celebration table with bas-reliefs, in front of an impressive altar, due to the green lighting of the tabernacle, inserted in an ancient wooden ensemble with sculptures and bas-reliefs. The Church of Sant'Ignazio, constructed by the Jesuits in 1635, displays a peculiar octagonal design featuring unequal sides. It boasts elevated areas accessible via stairs along the walls, allowing Jesuit pupils to observe ceremonies. In 2009, the church underwent notable renovations and now showcases superb frescoes. Its distinct octagonal shape and impressive artwork make it an attractive destination for visitors seeking architectural and artistic marvels.
A beautiful church with a rich history and stunning interior paintings that are truly worth seeing. Built in the 17th century, it is dedicated to Saint Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuit order. The interior impresses with its vibrant colors and intricate details; the frescoes and biblical scenes create a special spiritual atmosphere. The church is popular among both worshippers and lovers of art and history. It’s located in a peaceful part of town, perfect for a quiet moment of reflection. :)

(Translated by Google) Perhaps the most beautiful church in Bormio commissioned by the Jesuit fathers and built with an octagonal plan between 1635 and 1674. It was built faithfully following the instructions of Saint Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuits. A fundamental characteristic of Jesuit architecture is the plan with a single hall since Loyola was convinced that the chapels and side naves disturbed the faithful from listening to the word of the Lord. The imposing trompe l'oeil frescoed dome is striking and deceives the eye by making it appear even larger. Author of the fresco Giambattista Muttoni who was the pupil of Andrea Pozzo (Trento 1642 - author of the non-dome dome at the church of Sant'Ignazio in Rome) (Original) Forse la più bella Chiesa di Bormio voluta dai padri Gesuiti e costruita a pianta ottagonale tra il 1635 ed il 1674.
