Villa Faraggiana is a stunning 19th-century nobleman's residence that invites visitors to step back in time. This beautifully preserved villa showcases rooms adorned with exquisite antique furnishings, each reflecting different historical periods. Guests can explore the charming park surrounding the villa, complete with elegant statues and serene fountains. A guided tour offers insights into its rich history, including a private chapel and an enchanting gallery featuring frescoes depicting scenes from Diana's life.
Lovely Italian village. Nice long walks and plenty of restaurants. Only problem no English speaking. Food and coffee and the Italian bread was cheap. Lots of walking around the area where my father in law was stationed in the 1940's.if you want a laid back time then give it a go.

Attended a wedding of close friends! Extremely walkable from the marina, gorgeous location! A proper Italian experience.
Abhishek J — Google review
I attended a wedding in this location. Although the facade it's not so much well maintained, the internal spaces are astonishing. I loved it, especially its wonderful frescoes with depicted bucolic scenes of life. Unfortunately I guess it's not possible to wander through the italian style garden. It is to be noticed the fact that Villa Farraggiana was just the summer house of a noble family, don't be surprised if you can't find a lot of historical background on it. There is a large free parking at the bottom of the Villa.

Museum
Antica Fornace Alba Docilia is a captivating historical site that offers visitors a glimpse into the rich ceramic traditions of the region. This 17th-century furnace was once bustling with activity, producing essential cookware like pots and pans from locally sourced gray clay. The knowledgeable volunteers play a crucial role in preserving this heritage, guiding guests through fascinating exhibits that include exquisite macaque statuettes and beautifully decorated plates reflecting Albissola's artistic evolution over time.
One of the best place for ceramics.....
Gabriele A — Google review
(Translated by Google) I visited the Fornace thanks to the volunteers who keep it open and who are indispensable for understanding this place. The 17th century furnace was used for the production of pots and pans. The rich had copper cookware. Most used crock before the advent of aluminum. The gray clay was available in the area and was mixed in the tubs then for an initial drying it was placed outdoors on the brick walls built in steps for that purpose. Then the turners gave the desired shape to the raw material. With subsequent firings in the wood-fired furnace the biscuit was obtained, i.e. cooked twice, up to 900 degrees. Then to fix the painting up to 1200. Only experience guided the hand of craftsmanship. There were no thermometers. On the site there are also two tanks where the colors were prepared. On the wall of the first drying there remained some residues that the women collected to make macaques, figurines of the characters from the nativity scene which they then painted. A tradition that today we try to preserve. Thanks to the volunteers who gave me a truly interesting experience. I ricchi avevano pentolame in rame.

An amazing dog beach in a wonderful town! We loved everything about this dog beach, from the lovely people who work here to all the facilities the place has! 100% recommend and would return! Grazie mille❤️

This was so fun to do with our pup, I wish these were across the coast available. Super fun for a day, and a very welcome relaxation after all the much poorer public spiaggia’s per cani. The food and drinks selection was a bit sparse, but still fine, the dog parcour was cute and we are for sure coming back if we are in the area.

Loved this beach, sandy and lots of space for dogs to run and kids to build sand castles. €60 for a lounger, a chair and parasol for the whole day. We paid €10 for an extra lounger. Especially loved that they give you a key for your own hut where you can change and leave your valuables. Loungers are well spaced out, plenty of shade for the dogs. We even managed to buy a ball for our dog there so he could chase a ball into the sea. Parking nearby (Margonara), we paid €6 for the whole day. We got the last spot when we arrived at 11.30am. Staff are friendly. Bar is well priced for drinks, €5 for glass of wine and €7 for an aperol spritz, €10 for a very strong a gin & tonic. We didn't eat there, as there are many options for restaurants along the sea front and nearby in town. Grass spots nearby if you leave the beach to let your dog do their business. We have been to Rintin Beach in Pietra Liguria and Zero Beach in Alassio and this is our favourite by far.
Emi L — Google review
Great beach, lots of space for you AND your dog. There is a beach close for dogs!!! Very nice. Only 4 🌟 because parking is very bad. The usual "dealers" on the beach with cheap items to sell to enter the sea. A quick visit in the morning ok, a vacation not for me.
Mike H — Google review
Absolutely wonderful for pet owners!!! Love the concept. Doggie beach were you are welcomed too!! You can pay by the hour or by the day. If you chose the day option you will be given two chairs and a doggie water bowl. At the entrance there are doggie treats, necklaces, water toys, and paw protection for your dogs. There's also a little place where they sell basic human food. When you are done, there's a designated area to remove the sand off your dog. My only criticism is NOT ABOUT THE PLACE BUT... some of the people. These are dogs people of you don't want a dog running near you, or barking... GET YOUR OWN BEACH. Dogs are there to have fun NOT TO SIT DOWN OBEDIENTLY ALL DAY. COME ON!!
Curlygirlm79 — Google review
Very nice beach with nice some nice amenities. However, way overpriced. We arrived after 1pm, we paid 120€ for four people and a dog, which included 2 chairs and 2 lounge chairs. We got a bowl for water for the dog. It annoyed me that paying such a price, for using it only half a day, there was lack of flexibility, or better said: 120€ is just starting price, everything else was for a extra cost!! if you wanted 4 lounge chairs, pay 20€ more, warm water for you or your dog extra cost. Btw, the showers for humans and toilets were not cleaned/maintained enough
V G — Google review
Very difficult to find, lots of beaches with no signs, and occasional dogs that apparently were enjoying the beach even though it was not really allowed. When we finally found Bau Bau Village it turned out to have a fee of €40 for two adults with one dog. The beach was incredibly crowded on a Friday in July, and was very small. No particular amenities for dogs either. The dogs had a good swim, though, but not recommended.

Very kind people.Lovely and friendly. Even our dog who is not always easy with new environment, felt comfortable. Really good atmosphere. Nice sandy beach, not too much wave which is good for beginner-doggies :) The best. Don't waste your time bringing your dogs elsewhere. We've tried 4 beaches started from Alassio and Bau bau village was the best one of all (based on our dog happiness :))ps: worth the entrance fee

(Translated by Google) I've been frequenting this beach club for a few years, having discovered it by chance. Even though we have a house in Albisola Superiore, we happily walk all the way to the Mirage, which is the last equipped beach in Albisola Marina. I'm happy to give it 5 stars because the place is gorgeous, with top-notch pool services and amenities. We haven't been to the restaurant since we had a little girl, but the last time we tried it, it was truly exceptional. Cons? Prices are a little high, but in line with Liguria and the services they offer. The proximity to the dog club (adorable but not always quiet), and a few more smiles wouldn't hurt. However, it's truly unique, and I can't even imagine the commitment, effort, and dedication behind all this (they also host several events). Kudos to the fact that there's beach volleyball this year. Giovanni & Mila

To get there you have to want to walk taking via Bruciati and then continuing uphill with various steps that take you to the house. The guide also told us that there is also a shuttle but I don't know where to get it. Maybe there is more information on the website. The view from up there is wonderful and during the climb you can see those villas!! The peculiarity of this artist is in the recovery of ceramics to make new uses and therefore Le Albisole was the right place for his art!! (Original) Ottima visita!! The Muda Exhibition Center - City Library is a must-visit destination, primarily for its renowned Fontana lady sculpture. Currently, Lam's ceramic sculptures have made a comeback, adding to the artistic allure of this African artist who collaborated with Fontana Jorn and Rossello in Albisola during the 1960s. This period marked a golden age for Albisola, leaving an indelible mark on the town which can still be seen in its streets, walls, and artisan shops.

Ne porta tracce sulle strade sui muri e nelle botteghe artigiane. Un vero museo a cielo aperto.

His ceramics, between myth and experimentation, transmit a unique energy. An engaging experience that we recommend to all lovers of art and creativity without borders. In addition to the ceramic works and volumes present in the library, it was possible to admire a fantastic exhibition of original tables created by Ivo Milazzo. The exhibition space is very large and the beauty of the works on display is indisputable. Advised. (Translated by Google) This afternoon at 3:50 PM, finding it open, we went in at the invitation of a kind lady to see the works on display. We were immediately reprimanded by another lady, perhaps a boss, about the time. Obediently, we left and returned at 4 PM sharp. How sad to encounter such rude and bitter people.

The owner is very rude. They have a tiny “museum” and they charge 5 euro to see a few random ceramics important only for the store. It’s a scam. The rest is a regular ceramics store. Much better the quality and design of the neighbor store. And the service was a also much better.

(Translated by Google) I purchased one of their 3 liter pots yesterday, October 20th, which I tested today with a kilo of wild boar, cooked in a wood oven. For slow cooking, at gentle heat, their terracotta can't be beat!! Ps: for "larger" dinners, I already book the 5 liter piñata.. 10 and praise!!
