Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Embark on a picturesque journey from Finalborgo to the tranquil village of Perti, where the abandoned Castel Gavone stands as a testament to its rich history. Once serving as the grand headquarters of Marquis Del Carretto, this ancient landmark offers a captivating glimpse into the past. As you make your way through narrow cobbled streets and charming squares, be sure to explore other points of interest such as the convent complex of Santa Caterina and Castel San Giovanni.
Unfortunately it’s closed but it’s worth the hike up to see the old road that winds past it and to a small cluster of homes, restaurant and church.

They wrote, the Castle is open every Day, but…Currently closed and no Information, when does the Castle open again😟 But the view up there is marvelous…👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Karim S — Google review
This place is closed. But good hike..
Vinay H — Google review
If you can hike up 30 minutes. You can do this. As every one said the castle is closed. But it has summer gude tours at night. I am looking forward for August 17th night tour. And up date my experience again. The view and the great near by restaurant ( at night, don't miss this specialty dishes! ) it self was worth the trip. Italian does not put up ads at all. As if they try not to create too many visitors for the peaceful life styles. I do not blame them. I too, prefer not need reservation for food. :)
Karla H — Google review
Everything around this castle is magic! Must go
Davide B — Google review
The construction is exactly what you see on the photo, nothing more and is fully closed off by a gate. It was impossible to enter. The hike up was nice, but the castle itself was a disappointment.
Maciek S — Google review
The castle itself was closed but the walk, checking out the nearby cave and the overall view and scenery is worth the journey and view.

Museum
The Archaeological Museum of Finale, located in the heart of Finalborgo, offers a fascinating journey through the ancient history of the region. Housed in a 14th-century convent with a bell tower, this museum showcases prehistoric tools and artifacts dating back to 181 BC. Visitors can explore archaeological finds that tell the story of the area from 350,000 years ago. The exhibits include ancient civilization artifacts, bones, and medieval appliances. Touch screens provide detailed information about the displays.
Great place to become acquainted with the area’s history. Entry fee was 5 euros for adults and 3 euros for students which wasn’t too bad. The museum had a great audiotour, which was available in several different languages. The whole tour around the museum took us about 45 minutes. Not many other visitors so it was easy to move and see everything from close.
Oskari M — Google review
Great museum focused on liguria’history, including prehistory. Too bad that there is not enough of modern times, this would be very interesting especially as it is located in a beautiful medieval town. English french and german translations offered via scanning qr code
Charles O — Google review
A well-organized museum, local in space, broad in time. The text is only in Italian, but the audioguide is very detailed, covers the whole exhibition ste-by step, and in several languages. It is also in a charming part of Finale Ligure.

Perti is a charming hilltop village offering enchanting panoramic views of the Gulf. Visitors can explore the picturesque surroundings and admire the small church with five bell towers. The Osteria of Castel Govone provides a warm and rustic dining experience, serving the best Ligurian specialties. Perti Alta is a hidden gem, where every corner tells a story, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers with its diverse flora, captivating aromas, and breathtaking vistas.
(Translated by Google) Very beautiful village, you can breathe the old Liguria The church with the 5 bell towers is a little gem. Even the parish church must be very beautiful internally but closed... the castle is an unknown, the only identified access is barred, we were not even able to see the outside (Original) Borgo molto bello, si respira la vecchia Liguria La chiesa con i 5 campanili è un gioiellino. (Translated by Google) Nice panoramic, picturesque place. Also worth seeing is the small church with 5 bell towers a little further on. The restaurant has a really good dinner. Be careful to park your car only beyond the white line: the fines given to tourists by the final police force are pouring in. . . One evening I counted 15 out of about thirty cars. (Original) Bel Posto panoramico, pittoresco. (Translated by Google) Perti Alta is not just a place to visit. It's a small wedding favor in which every corner tells something. For those who love nature it offers an infinite number of ideas: plants, aromas, trees of all kinds as well as a fabulous panoramic view. For those who love history it offers: a pre-Romanesque church, a castle (Gavone) symbol of Finale Ligure, the eighteenth-century parish church of Sant'Eusebio with an octagonal shape and the church of the Cinque Campanili built in the early 1500s. And much more. For those who love food: two restaurants that will amaze you with their genuine, typical and excellent cuisine. And if you want to walk a bit, from Perti there are paths for other "adventures" that you can only find in the Finale area!

Bar
Il Cappero Ristorante is a popular dining spot in Borgio Verezzi SV, Italy. It offers a wide range of cocktails and boasts an amazing view of the Ligurian coast, making it the perfect place for an aperitivo. While some visitors have praised the beautiful setting and professional staff, others have expressed disappointment with the lackluster menu options and underwhelming dishes.
Hands down one of the most beautiful (and delicious) restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food is fresh and simple yet elegant at the same time. The view and the interior of the restaurant itself is rustic and breathtaking. Each room is decorated slightly differently so each time you go it’s like a new experience. It’s lovely to walk around outside the restaurant before or after your meal. You’ll be immersed in hundreds of years of history. The service is friendly and attentive but not overbearing. 11/10 recommend!
Christine P — Google review
Really nice experience, it has like the best view of the area, is amazing on the bay of Borgio-Verezzi, just didn’t like so much that you had to take at least two dishes, for me doesn’t make any sense
Nicholas D — Google review
Food was good. Slightly small portions compared to prices... it’s a restaurant with a view and not a Michelin restaurant. Give them some credit for the fact that we didn’t have a reservation in advance and they managed to scoop us in :) Nice place to eat and drink (attached bar around the corner with even better view)
Torgeir H — Google review
Authentic hidden gem in Borgio Verezzi. Proper local food. The drill is to go for happy hour on the terrace and later dinner. Trofie with pesto are 🚀
Riccardo B — Google review
With no doubt the greatest value of this restaurant is the panorama. Great view. The waitress was not a nice person (seemed to be in bad humor). The food and dessert was good.
Idania R — Google review
Want to impress your girlfriend / wife with some fancy good food and a nice view? Thats your place. Food is good but be prepared to spend about 100€+ and feast mainly on the foccacia they serve aside. They serve 2 or 3 plates but no matter what you order they dont make it a first and main dish - they are equaly sized. There is definitely better places around to get some nice Italian dinner.
Benjamin L — Google review
Amazing view and a very wide range of cocktails available. The ideal place to have an aperitivo overlooking the ligurian coast.

Grotte di Borgio Verezzi is a 5-kilometre system of underground caves and lakes, featuring colorful mineral deposits. The Cave di Verezzi crag offers 23 climbing routes of varying difficulty, while a running park caters to enthusiasts. Guided tours are necessary for access, with a break in service from 11:30 to 15:00. Visitors have praised the scenic beauty and informative guides, although some have noted language barriers during tours.
One of the most beautiful natural wonders by the sea. Amazing, knowledgeable guided experience in 2 languages, English and Italian. The story of the cave discovery and research is interesting and nice. I would come back any time - great enriching senses experience.

A wonderful cave full of surprises. The tour was in italien language and we were onky max 10 people.

We had a very knowledgeable tour guide, she could answer all our questions 🙂 it was a fab experience and three cave is wonderful. You can buy tickets at the ticket office, though be mindful that the number of people can be limited to protect the cave.
Laszlo H — Google review
Picturesque cave with several ~40 minute guided tours per day. In summer it's a good way to cool down (air temperature inside is around +16°C). Highly recommended, if you're in the area.
Alexander K — Google review
We arrived early by taxi, due to the heat. We sat under a welcome covered area before buying our tickets when the office opened after lunch at 14.45. The team of 3 were helpful, knowledgeable and the tour was brilliant. In Italian and English. Going from 32 degrees to 16 for the 45 minute tour was amazing and a very special experience. A lovely little gift shop added to the experience. With thanks for helping arrange a taxi back too. A great trip and great value for money. Thank you.
Caroline Y — Google review
It's 100% worth seeing this natural beauty right inside the rock. To access the cave, there's a need to book a guided tour. There are plenty of tourists there, so you'll not be alone. One thing to consider is that during 11:30 - 15:00, there is no service there. If you come later than 11:30, you'll have to wait till 15:00 for the next tour. So plan your time with this in mind. It's also challenging to find any restaurants or things to do around to wait so much time in comfortable relaxing conditions, as most of the places in this area are closed during the same time. The caves are great and fascinating! It was cold inside (16 degrees Celcius), but it was OK for many people to be just in a T-shirt. Some worm cloth would add extra comfort.
Alpha B — Google review
The geology of the area of my home town was complex and interesting, so I studied Geology as a subsidiary subject in my first year at university. I've visited limestone caves in the UK and even the Grotte de l’Observatoire in Monaco, a little further west along the coast, but the grotte di Borgio Verezzi easily beats them all. It's a surprisingly understated attraction considering the spectacular formations hidden underground, but once at the caves our guide and the other staff were all very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were part of a tour group of around 15 people and a detailed summary of each section of the caves was provided in perfect English, enhancing the 'Wow!' factor. It's extraordinary and fascinating what water, minerals, chemical reactions and millions of years can do - and at Borgio Verezzi they've produced the most colourful caves in Italy.
Gareth P — Google review
Fascinating walk through the caves. Refreshing to see caves lit properly, not using stupid colours. The beauty was more evident. Very interesting information from the tour guide.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. We came several times, and it was consistently good. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We tried the Trofie al Pesto, Fritto Misto (fried seafood), grilled Branzino, and Acciughe Impanate — everything was fresh and delicious. And we especially loved their Patatine Fritte (fried potatoes). Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Stefan S — Google review
Lovely lunch outside. Good pasta. Good fish. Thanks!
Emil B — Google review
Do not recommend. Average service and average food for the price. The lobster tagliatelle had very little lobster and no tools were served with the lobster. The large bottled water was just tap water in an unsealed and unsanitary bottle - do not pay for this. Tourist trap.
Mike G — Google review
Fantastic little restaurant where you can see that the locals really care. When we were looking for a dinner in Finale, we've found this place, the great reviews, the fact that it was open half an hour earlier than others and the fact that probably the owner stood there and waited for guests made us choose this one for our feast. And what a feast it was! Everything we've ordered was delicious, even my girlfriend who doesn't like sea food, couldnt get enough of the sepia gnocchi! Easily one of the best dinners I've ever had for a good price.

Amazing place. Super clean and with professional staff that make you feel welcome. I had a Maroccino, which looked and tasted great. Shame I did not snap a pic. The beach is well-maintained with clean facilities such as showers, lockers, and toilets.
Our favorite beach during vacation in Finale. Probably the most expensive one, 30 EUR for full day per person for a spot with umbrella - but we found the price to be reasonable. Nice clean beach which is not packed, the amount of spots is limited so it is not overfilled with people. Staff was amazing and they remembered us when we returned, tried to find us a spot when we arrived later in the day. They are booked even a few days in advance so make sure to book your place too. You can order food and drinks via their QR code. Definitely recommend this beach.

This beach club is amazing, spent the day here and had a wonderful time. Service was exceptional. Price was very good and included sun bed, umbrella….and if you wish to use, SUP and kayak. Completely clean everywhere. Cold shower, hot shower, with shower gel. Individual locker/ changing room, toilets everything you need. The sand was nice, sea was crystal clear, the scenery was beautiful. Many nice people - families and couples. Life guard on duty. Ate in the restaurant too. The service there was also exceptional with the friendliest of staff. Menu was good and prices were reasonable. Best to make a reservation. Tried beef tartare, goats cheese salad and black pasta cuttlefish. All were delicious. Highly recommended

The Collegiata di San Biagio stands as the crown jewel of Borgo, showcasing a splendid example of Baroque architecture from the 17th century. Built upon the remnants of a medieval church dating back to 1372, it retains elements like the bold late Gothic octagonal bell tower, which leans slightly and features delicate bifore on each side.
The Collegiata di San Biagio in Finale Ligure is a stunning example of Romanesque architecture, with a history that spans centuries. Commissioned by the powerful Del Carretto family in the 12th century, the church served as both a place of worship and a symbol of their power. Over the centuries, the church has undergone numerous renovations and additions, blending Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque styles. (Translated by Google) We went for an aperitif (6:00 pm) on the 2nd June long weekend. Confusing staff and unkind treatment reserved for us. Price of a cocktail €7, you can't complain about that but everything else is missing, including food, they had run out of everything. Personale confusionario e trattamento poco gentile riservatoci. (Translated by Google) Even under the previous manager, the bar wasn't great at anything, but since it was handed over to his nephew, things have gotten so bad that I've decided not to go there anymore. High prices, unfriendly service, unprofessional treatment, confusion, terrible cappuccinos and coffees, limited selection, and high demand for the prices. If it weren't for its prime location on the beach, it would have closed a long time ago. How it can present itself to customers in such a ridiculous manner is beyond anyone's knowledge... NOT RECOMMENDED! SCONSIGLIATO!

On the Riviera Romagnola they would have welcomed me differently, take example from you amateurs at random! (Translated by Google) Today, more than ever, five stars for San Donato beach. Now that the beach has been restored to its former splendor after the devastating storm that destroyed the wooden walkway and damaged the beach clubs. Everything will be rebuilt, and next summer, San Donato will once again be a tourist destination, its sea offering recreation and pleasure to all. Nestled between two small rocky promontories, San Donato is a beach of light gray sand lapped by a crystalline sea. In addition to the two expensive and exclusive "bagni" (beach clubs), there are three beautiful, spacious public beaches with showers. Access to the sea is typical of much of the Ligurian Riviera: just a few steps and you're out of the water, but going for a swim is impossible. Some people complain about the lack of parking. True, but from Finale Ligure it's a ten-minute walk, and from Finale Ligure a little longer....

(Translated by Google) Beautiful experience. The path to reach the cave starts from Borgio Verezzi, the first part is on asphalt and then continues on dirt. The slope is gentle, which makes the visit accessible to everyone, even those like me who have knee problems. The view of the coast is beautiful. There are many wild flowers and aromatic herbs, such as thyme and rue, which make the air fragrant. 180 steps to go down to the cave. Silvia, the girl who accompanied us on the visit was really good, detailed and engaging. An immersion in our most ancient history to remember. The cave cannot always be visited, you must inquire at the Finale museum. Reservation required because only 30 people can enter. (Original) Bellissima esperienza. (Translated by Google) A very interesting tour led by archaeologist Livia, whom we congratulate for her clear explanations and the engaging nature of the experience. No one knows it, but behind Borgio lies a rarity: a cave that reveals an uninterrupted stratigraphy from the Paleolithic to the Byzantine era, which European archaeologists consider a benchmark for dating artifacts. In that cave, they also raised animals and then lit small fires to sterilize the environment. Centuries later, we can still see black lines on the "Witnesses" that tell us about this phenomenon. The tour concludes with the discovery of the "Young Prince," discovered purely by chance during excavations during World War II. I hope the electricity will soon be restored—still connected to the now bankrupt Ghigliazza quarry.

The restaurant serves gourmet fresh food, making it a fantastic place for dining. Amazing location looking over and almost on top of the beach. The staff were very friendly and not overly attentive- good knowledge of local wines, which was great. The food did not disappoint at all, delicious pasta, fresh fish, and tasty home made desserts.
Justin A — Google review
La Ruggia is a fantastic spot for fish lovers – so good that we came back a second time during our stay in Varigotti. The mussels were outstanding, full of flavor, and the burrata-stuffed anchovies were just as impressive. The tuna tartar tagliolini was out of this world, and the devil fish was also excellent. On our second visit we had to order the mussels again, and also enjoyed the fried calamari with carrots and zucchini, which were light and delicious. For the main course we shared the catch of the day (dorado) for two, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The meal was rounded off beautifully with a tiramisu that was excellent. Both the beer selection and the white wine we had were also very good and paired perfectly with the dishes. The setting couldn’t be better – right on the beach, with the sound of the waves and a view of the sunset. Service was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. Truly a memorable dining experience and highly recommended.

Crystal clear waters (blue flag standard), still half wild, not commercialised but with an option of umbrellas and sunbeds rent, not placed permanently on the beach but on request for clients to place independently. All services available (parking, bathrooms, shower and bar / restaurant as well as kayak, paddling and pedalo rent) all with modest prices comparing to the beaches in the zone. Highly reccomended.

Bagni La Giara, formerly known as Hotel La Giara, has been a beloved destination for many visitors. The location, comfort, and hospitality have left a lasting impression on guests. The beach offers a pleasant experience with honest prices and excellent dining options. The staff is attentive and the service is fast. With its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to quality service, Bagni La Giara ensures a relaxed and enjoyable stay in the splendid setting of Varigotti.
La Giara in Varigotti took beachside living to the next level. This elegant seaside club offered plush loungers, crystal-clear water, and an ambiance that whispered dolce vita in every detail. We enjoyed a light lunch of grilled calamari with our feet in the sand and the rhythm of the sea as our soundtrack. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and savor every moment.

Hi, I hate to give rates, so I do it only when it’s too much. When your wife came few minutes ago and was told there was space for 60 euros for one pair of long chairs, so you come and suddenly there is no space available with no explication. It was literally few minutes after and there was plenty of spaces available. The waitress told me exactly this before her manager the rude bold guy arrives and gives another version and reject us even if we were ready to pay 60 euros for 2 hours stay in your incredible private little beach. You are lucky this city is beautiful enough to cover your bad behaviour. To be honest and I could have argue with you in front if I didn’t have my too little babies burning under the sun. We bought a parasol and we had a wonderful time but this has to be said. Thanks to the young waitress for their honesty, don’t lose yourself like the old bold guy. PS : I gave 2 stars because the city is really wonderful !

Rude. We came in for an afternoon coffee by the sea and to get some shade. Owner told us we could sit but would need to leave if the lunch rush came, as it was close to 13:00. We understood and happily agreed (and did finish up promptly). Tried to be respectful and quiet for the brief time we were there. Then they insulted us for no apparent reason. Perhaps assuming we would not understand. Or they are just shameless enough not to care. The coffee was nice enough, but certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. We walked down the beach and found a very friendly place to spend the afternoon instead.

It commemorates the passage through Finalmarina of the seventeen-year-old Margherita Teresa, daughter of Philip IV of Spain and sister of Charles II, while she was going to Vienna as the bride of Emperor Leopold I of Austria. The arch was ordered by Diego Alverado, Knight of the Order of Calatrava and Governor of the Marquisate of Finale under the rule of King Charles II of Spain. During the day the square is deserted especially if the temperatures are high and if it is high season. In the evening it becomes crowded as there are various activities and clubs. Spiaggia libera attrezzata in Finale Ligure is a wonderful and safe beach with calm waters, making it perfect for spending the whole day. Visitors recommend bringing conditioner to combat the salty water's effects on hair. The beach offers free areas as well as options to rent umbrellas and lying benches for a more relaxing experience by the sea. Additionally, there are manned parking areas available for added security at a small cost.
I visited Finale Ligure in 2020 with my friends, we were living in Torino at that time and what a wonderful experience! The water is amazing, but reallllyyy salty! So i recommend bringing conditioner for after, cuz the hair ends up really dry. I loved the calmness of the beach, its really safe and really good to be all day! We arrived at 10 am and left at 5 pm! We brought sandwiches and sangria to enjoy! Only stoped to the supermarket to get some more snacks! At first i was hesitant to leave my stuff unsupervised to go on the beach but nothing happened and everybody was just minding their business! Bring an umbrella! Since the sun hitss realllyyyy hardddd that it hurts lol so dont forget your sunblock too to reaply. I’ll definitely go back once i’m in Italy again!

Nostra Signora di Loreto, also known as the church of the five bell towers, is an elegant Renaissance church located in a picturesque setting surrounded by green and rocky landscapes. It can be reached via a path from Perti Alta or a mule track from Finalborgo, offering impressive views over the mountains and sea along the way. Although it is almost always closed, its unique architecture makes it worth a visit.
(Translated by Google) It is a magical place that exudes beauty and history. Its typical architecture with five bell towers recalls the Portinari Chapel of the Church of Sant'Eustorgio (in which Foppa, who also worked a lot in Liguria, worked) as proof of the link between the Del Carrettos and the Sforzas. It was built around 1480 on the occasion of the marriage between Alfonso I and Peretta Cubo Usodimare (granddaughter of Pope Innocent VIII) in fact this marriage was celebrated in Rome in the Vatican. I remember that the predecessor of Innocent VIII was Sixtus IV della Rovere (Franciscan), from 1471 to 1484, who was succeeded by Innocent VIII, from 1484 to 1492, followed by Alexander VI (Rodrigo Borgia, actually Borges as he was Spanish) 1484-1492 , then Tedeschini Piccolomini of Siena from 1492 to 1503 and from 1503 to 1513 a della Rovere returned, the great Warrior Pope Julius II to whom we owe the "features" of the current and majestic Church of Rome. The world is really small... but beautiful! The retaining wall now requires major restoration, as can be seen from the cleaning and deforestation that we were asked to carry out together with our colleagues from the AIB of Finale Ligure to facilitate operations. We hope for an excellent outcome. The church deserves it!

Given its important history as the capital of a marquisate, the town presents many historical and architectural testimonies of that glorious period, and one of these is certainly Palazzo Buraggi. It is notable because it stands right on the seafront, next to the famous Arco di Margherita, and like the latter it was built at the time of Spanish domination of the area between the 17th and 18th centuries. On the facade - which presents a rather sober architecture - stands out the painted coat of arms of the family that owns the palace (Original) Finale Ligure è una località della Riviera delle Palme che offre molti spunti a chi non si accontenta solo di sole e mare. (Translated by Google) Historical site where in days gone by oil was produced from a special plant. The plant also grows there. There are some ancient devices on display. Interesting how people here had to work hard for a living before tourism and progress. There is a restaurant above the grotto where you can eat and drink.

(Translated by Google) This is not just a site of oil mills, it was a prehistoric shelter because as I had already said, Liguria is a very important site of prehistoric finds like this one, the white arenas and more. By parking on the road you can walk for half an hour to get to the cave but you have to be careful to turn at the right time, that is, where the church is, turn right towards the trattoria the cave which is perched on the cave. It's best not to go at sunset, it's very isolated and there is almost no phone signal Of course, for those who didn't go after dark as I intended, they don't know what it means The nearby car park is small and it is not possible for many to go (Original) Questo non è solo un sito di frantoi è stato un riparo preistorico perché come avevo già detto la Liguria è un importantissimo sito di ritrovamenti preistorici tipo questo, le arene candide e altro.

49Castrum Perticae

4.4
(16)
Historical landmark
Castrum Perticae is a fascinating site with ruins of an ancient fortress and an adjacent deconsecrated church, offering a mix of history from Roman times to the present day. The breathtaking views of the sea and mountains make it a pleasant discovery, despite the lack of maintenance and underdevelopment for tourism in the area. Although the structures are in a state of disrepair, visiting this evocative place is still worthwhile due to its historical significance and spectacular surroundings.

The Chapel of Sant'Antonino also stands nearby, dating back to the year 1000. All of this can only be reached with beautiful hiking routes through the bushes of the area. (Translated by Google) The five stars are neither for the ruins of the castle nor for the adjacent ancient deconsecrated church. Unfortunately both have been left completely abandoned and are now practically ruins. The atmosphere is truly evocative, you can sense the passage of time, but the state of the two structures is unfortunately terrible. However, going up there is absolutely worth it for two reasons. The first is the path, a very narrow semi-mule track which in many places overlooks the valley and therefore you can admire some truly breathtaking views (but be careful: the ground is strewn with leaves and very slippery stones; it is not difficult to slip and get hurt; the best thing is to equip yourself with suitable shoes, such as trekking, with a good non-slip sole and if possible even ankle-high). The second is the view from the top, next to the church, because from there you can see the entire valley, up to the sea. It feels like admiring the infinite and you feel connected to nature on a very deep level. I stopped to eat something sitting on the edge of the cliff and I can assure you that it was a very spiritual experience.

Unfortunately, few ruins remain of the ancient castrum, however very suggestive and a short distance away there is the beautiful little church of Sant'Antonino, with a very suggestive Romanesque crypt and complete with cave (suitable only for expert personnel) (Original) Il posto è spettacolare, qualche indicazione in più non guasterebbe, la prima volta che ci sono stato sono passato oltre senza neanche accorgermene.

It's a shame that the area is, in general, underdeveloped for tourism... if there were a couple more signs it wouldn't hurt. In any case, the path to get there is well traced and the visit is worth it!

(Translated by Google) Maybe it's because I like urbex, maybe it's because I like exploration and history, but honestly it was a pleasant discovery. A mix of history starting from the Romans up to more recent times, breathtaking views towards the sea and the mountains, easy to reach with a half hour's walk or little more. It's a shame that some maintenance is lacking and the bush vegetation has taken over. Personally it was a pleasant afternoon entertainment.
