A beautiful park with stunning nature. This place is really well looked after — very clean and full of greenery. There are some rare trees that make it feel quite special. It’s a lovely spot for a walk or just to spend some time outdoors. Highly recommend!
Оксана М — Google review
Very friendly and lovely looking hotel .it would have been 5 star if our room was had a double bed rather than 2 singles pushed together. Quite dark in the room but not a problem as it fitted with the theme really. We were ground floor and the hall smelled a little damp. Reception and restaurant staff were very friendly . The area was pretty too. Nice walks and the bonus is the guy who offers very affordable punting . Very knowledgeable and kind. We done the medieval banquet and enjoyed ourselves. Can recommend visiting the hotel and the experience .
Manuela S — Google review
Such a beautiful park with woodlands, ponds with ducks and a centre with cafe, toilets, shops etc! We really enjoyed our time walking in the woods area with massive gorgeous trees around us! The ducks and doves and swans were enjoying the duck food we bought from the info centre for just £1/bag, although we saw some people giving their children sandwiches and bread to chuck at the ducks which was sad to see. A stunning place!! Definitely worth the visit!!
Monika N — Google review
Coombe Abbey Country Park is a beautiful and peaceful place to explore. The gardens, lake, and woodland walks are perfect for relaxing or enjoying nature. The historic abbey building adds extra charm to the stunning landscape. A lovely spot for a family day out, picnic, or quiet stroll — truly one of Warwickshire’s gems!
Harsha J — Google review
It was a pleasant visit, where we arrived by chance. The park itself is very beautiful, where you can charge your soul, and if you are going to stay at the hotel you will be spoiled. The lake is full of life, different birds, and even a gondola ride. I liked it and recommend that you set aside a whole day to visit this area.
Lauran M — Google review
Beautiful woodlands, nature at its best! The trees were absolutely fascinating and added to the charm. Great for peaceful strolls, picnics and relaxing in the fresh air. The car park was easy to find and reasonably priced. A perfect spot for nature lovers.
Mi M — Google review
My wife and I recently spent an afternoon at Coombe Abbey Country Park, and it turned out to be one of those places that leaves a lasting impression. What struck us most was the variety within the grounds – one moment you’re walking beneath tall trees in the woodland, the next you’re stepping out into wide, open fields with sweeping views across the countryside. The contrast makes every part of the walk feel fresh and engaging. The woodland paths are beautifully looked after, offering a calm, shaded route that feels almost timeless. Once we reached the edges of the park, we were rewarded with what looked like golden wheat fields, stretching out into the horizon. It’s a stunning sight and gave us that wonderful sense of space you don’t often get so close to the city. Around the lake and ponds, there’s plenty of activity with swans and ducks to feed, and we particularly enjoyed stopping at the bird hide – a quiet spot that gave us time to slow down and watch the wildlife. For those after something livelier, the Go Ape course adds a bit of excitement, but it blends in neatly with the surroundings rather than dominating them. The practical side of things is well thought out too. There are toilets on site, which makes longer visits easy and stress-free. The ice cream shop deserves a special mention – after a long walk, treating ourselves to a cone felt like the perfect finishing touch. Parking was also simple and reasonably priced, with plenty of availability. All in all, Coombe Abbey Country Park offers a mix of tranquility, natural beauty, and good facilities. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a simple walk yet come away feeling as though you’ve had a proper day out. For us, it was a wonderful way to spend time together, and it’s somewhere we’ll happily return to.
Moon — Google review
Lots of space and plenty to do. Improved play area for children. Beautiful grounds. Pay extra for Go Ape, car Safari (very expensive) and forest play area (£3.90) which was empty at half term. Still plenty to do.

Allesley Park is a picturesque historic park nestled among housing developments, offering a unique experience with its rolling landscape and established trees. Visitors can enjoy walking on the tarmacked footpaths and marvel at the unspoilt green space. Families can make use of the equipped play area and have a picnic on the grass. The park also features a pitch-and-putt course for enthusiasts.
Super park area. It has paths all round, a lovely play area for children, a field for football, crazy golf, lots of space to play, explore and enjoy. There is parking either on road or in a carpark.
Debbie R — Google review
There is a fenced playground for children. Walking. Alone with dogs and you can run
E W — Google review
A lovely park for all ages! Allesley Park is a beautiful and peaceful green space in Coventry. It’s well-maintained with plenty of open areas, walking paths, and benches. Perfect for a morning walk, a family picnic, or just relaxing in nature. The trees and flower beds make it especially scenic, and there’s a great play area for kids as well. It feels safe, clean, and welcoming — a real gem for the local community. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area!
M.V.G G — Google review
A lovely place to escape the city and stretch your legs. It also has the walled garden, where enthusiastic volunteers grow old vegetables. There is a playground for kids, sadly no cafe although a kiosk was there in the summer selling drinks.
Terry S — Google review
Great playground and good dog friendly circular walks of different lengths. Nice walled garden too!
Lucy N — Google review
This a beautiful, busy park. There are two play areas for children and there is also a delightful fairy garden to explore. There is a small pond area that is fenced off but can be accessed through a gate but you cannot let your dogs in there due to birds nesting and frogs spawning. There is a little coffee hut on certain days, I'm not 100% sure, but I imagine probably on weekends and bank holidays. There is ample, free parking and a couple of disabled parking spots too. The public toilets are by the car park but, obviously, they haven't been open recently. It is an enjoyable walk around the park with paths all the way around with little slopes here and there. Dogs are welcome under close control so as not to affect the enjoyment of other park users.
Adventure D — Google review
This park is one of the biggest in west Coventry. Park has dedicated play area for children of all ages. Fields are massive and the golf course is good too. £7 for a game I guess but not sure about latest prices.
Ankit S — Google review
Lovely local park. Allesley Park is a wonderful green space with plenty to do for all ages. The park has a play area suitable for children of all ages. There is also a mini golf and pitch and putt course. The park is surrounded by a path which is just over a mile in length ideal for walking or running, there are also paths that cross the park for shorter routes. On top of this there is regularly an ice cream van and a car park. Allesley park is well worth a visit.

Superb location for day outs, picnics, walks, dog walks, nature lovers, kids, and families. Miniature train ride is highlight for kids and even for adults. Bikes and tri cycles can be rented to enjoy various trails. A must visit . Good pay and display car park is available. Reasonable prices.

You need to book to do pound dipping and pay £5.50 to let the kids look for bugs in a 40cm deep pond. Not wort the visit anymore . Not to mention you pay parking too. . Was one of my favourite country park but not anymore . Nothing free in England for children anymore. And we wonder why kids stay all day inside and play video games

Recent host of a few events. The park has been looked after in recent years. The expansion of the play area and it given a medieval theme has been lovely. New tennis courts and an outdoor gym area. Bodies of Water
Nestled in the heart of Coventry, the Coventry Canal Basin is a historic warehouse area along the canal that has been transformed into a charming destination. Visitors can enjoy watching barges, taking boat rides, exploring shops, and relaxing at a cafe. The basin offers a serene escape from urban life, with picturesque canal views and opportunities to spot local wildlife. It's also home to a bronze statue of James Brindley, an 18th-century canal engineer.
Really nice place to visit. Little bits of history and information placed around the area. We had a lovely breakfast in the far cafe right on the water. It was lovely to stand watching a couple of canal boats come and go. Take a walk over the bridge and take a look at the back end of the warehouses.
Debra R — Google review
Stayed overnight in my narrowboat. Traffic noise doesn't stop day or night and some areas show the normal city cigarette and vape litter. Overall a good attempt to create a pleasant place in a city centre.
Robert ( — Google review
Great place for a visit to Coventry on a canal boat, space for about 12 boats, 7 days moorings with full facilities point at the entrance to the basin. 5 minutes walk into city centre 2 cafes within the basin, The Portuguese cafe is highly recommended... Not too much late night city noise although there is an arts centre which sometimes hosts a live music night. Not very often and not rowdy the night I was there
Karl A — Google review
A very pleasant place with old buildings reminiscent of the Victorian era. A perfect place to take a walk and watch the boats move slowly by.
Alberto S — Google review
A great berth, 10 minute walk from the cathedral, restaurants and shops on the wharf.
Hedley S — Google review
Great place for a walk or ride. It's about 5 miles end to end and the basin has a few little shops and a cafe if you want to sit and chill. Across the foot bridge from there will take you to the town centre.
Yi W — Google review
Its beautiful here. 2 lovely places to eat. Set a 10 min easy walk from the city centre at most. Canal side dining and grocery shopping. There is also a live music venue that is open when events are on.

Interesting and relaxing green area. History was well explained. Spoilt on my visit by the rubbish, particularly a pile of discarded plastic bottles clogging the water feature. I nearly went in to get them out myself!
Stephen W — Google review
Looks lovely on photos but sadly this garden has been a no go area for years as it is frequented drug & alcohol misusers! Went over 20 yrs ago was v afraid of drinkers shouting at us. Then recently a Utuber (prayer b4 dawn) walked through & was attacked - fortunately he’s an ex boxer. It’s very sad for the park & sad for the people that self medicate

Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve, located just outside Coventry, is a 220-acre haven for nature enthusiasts. Managed by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, the reserve boasts diverse habitats including pools, reedbeds, woodlands and meadows. Visitors can explore the area through various footpaths and trails such as the Kingfisher Trail which offers views of willow carr and Newlands reedbed. The reserve is home to over 220 bird species and provides eight hides for birdwatching.
The reserve is so wonderful at this time of year. It's great they don't allow dogs, although it means I can't come as often but it feels so clean and tidy, no litter at all in sight, which is a refreshing change as alot of the other green spaces around cov are dirty. It feels peaceful and at this time of the year the atmosphere and nature is simply stunning. A very relaxing place to be. Super useful to have the toilets and cafe and space to have lunch outside. They also have nice meeting rooms for activities and events. My only issue is that it is often very difficult to get parking. I appreciate it's not easy to have a large carpark at a nature reserve but the access can be somewhat of a problem especially when there are events on or it's a nice day. When I visited the other day on a tues morning I got the last space in the car park.
Raindrops — Google review
Very well kept and varied nature reserve. Reclaimed gravel or sand quarry so lots of lakes and marshland meaning a huge variety of bird life. Undulating landscape with well managed woodland. Good hard standing paths in most areas and several circular walks possible. Cafe and visitor centre slightly dated and some road/industrial noise
Phil J — Google review
Delightful wildlife area. Saw some beautiful birds and wild flowers. Thoroughly recommend a visit. I believe it would benefit from a little bit of pro-active management to enhance the experience. Some views totally obscured by overgrown plants, and convolvulus everywhere, maybe a few more built perches in the right spots to improve the chances of seeing the birds. We don't all have expensive spotting scopes. Maybe get some loan binoculars in for visitors, this happens in Ireland, with free use.
Peter M — Google review
Brandon Marsh is a wonderful nature reserve located on the outskirts of Coventry. There are plenty of bird hides to explore that are all open until dusk (with the exception of the main bird hide) as well as two bird trails; one for kingfishers and one for woodpeckers. We didn’t pick the best day to go as it was too hot and the water had dried up, however we still found some amazing animals. These included four curlews flying above the car park, two kingfishers on a lake, green sandpipers and a muntjac deer that ran across the pathway. Would highly recommend a visit, however maybe not in August as the water is often dried up, so the shorebirds aren’t as prominent. 🦆🦅🦜
Raahi P — Google review
Well managed reserve. Plenty of wildlife and a number of hides. The centre has a small cafe (nice food) and shop. Mobility scooter available for hire but most of the hides are inaccessible for anyone using one.

Been here three times now, one last year to see Hazel O'Connor and twice in the last week to see Bernie Deiters Berlin Kabaret and the Choir of Man. Had a fantastic time on all three occasion. Didn't queue long to get in, great view with fantastic seats very near the front. Nice friendly helpful staff (a lot were students I think?!) My only moan was the severe lack of choice of drinks and the price of them! £5.50 for a big standard pint of larger in a plastic cup 🙄)

Great atmosphere, the Queenz show was brilliant and the food from the stalls smelt great. Staff were friendly and professional and again the show was well worth a watch. It's a very very inclusive place and has a lovely feel to it.

Fantastic! It's a great venue for music, comedy and artistic performances in the city of Coventry. I visited to watch the soweto gospel choir, who were incredible and very loving and uplifting. The venue queen of flanders venue was spectacular and really blew me away. I would highly recommend going to watch a performance there, it will 100% be worth it!

What a fantastic place. They have great food stalls, for meat eaters and veggies alike. Do come and watch a show here as the venue is wonderful. I've already booked tickets for our next show here.

#Choir of Man. Such an outstanding show. I went from not knowing anything about them to watching them twice in a week. Anyone who likes music needs to see these guys perform, narrate and entertain

Coventry has done a lot of work sprucing itself up. Other midland cities please take note. The AFG is a fine addition. I hope it returns next Summer. I saw Basil Brush's adult show in the snug Piccolo venue. I recommend both!

Spencer Park, located in Earlsdon, is a picturesque park offering various amenities for visitors. It features expansive green spaces, well-kept lawns, and beautiful tree-lined paths. The park includes a children's play area with swings, slides, and other attractions. Additionally, there are tennis courts, bowls, pavilion facilities, cycling paths, and a football pitch. Families can enjoy picnics or games on the open grass area while kids have fun at the playground.
Great play area for small children and babies. A lot of activities for all ages and the base is super soft so you can leave even a baby who's learning how to walk to play there. The playground and the park itself is very clean and well maintained.

Nice little park, enjoyed walk around
Tamás S — Google review
I didn't go to the actual Spencer Park, it was the large grassy area next to the tennis courts across the road. However, it a lovely place with conveniences, and a shop selling ice cream and stuff. The sun was out and everyone was rockin to the brass band!
Michael H — Google review
Nice place for kids to play with their peers. If you want your kids to learn tennis, people are there to teach them for free on Saturdays.

Lovely small friendly park. Perfect for an after school run around. Beautifully kept, not too crowded.

We came here with our grandchildren and guide dog puppy. They all had such fun. Great playground for the children to enjoy plus a painted road layout which they loved racing around on their scooters. Nice grassy area for dogs to run around on too. There is also a cafe and public toilets too.

Among other nicely attended community parks this one is also very lovable for me with its tender view, planted memory trees, flower-beds, alleyways. Cosy and peaceful green area of the city which is much worthy for a visit especially in springish, smily weather.

If you're searching for a fantastic spot to entertain your little ones, look no further than Jam Jam Boomerang Indoor Play, Party and Lazer Venue. This vibrant destination is perfect for families seeking fun activities in the West Midlands. With its engaging soft play blocks and exciting ball pools, kids can immerse themselves in hours of playful exploration. Whether you’re planning a casual afternoon outing or organizing a birthday bash for up to fifteen children, this venue caters to all your needs.
Wow! First time here today after recently moving to the area and what a great soft play this is. It was so clean which is a big shock considering it’s soft play 🤣 and all 3 areas are great (babies, toddlers and bigger kids). We went on the toddler morning which is a great deal (£4.95 toddler and adult) and my 8mo was free (don’t charge for under 10mo I believe). Free juice and biscuits included. Unfortunately the only biscuit on offer was a digestive which my two couldn’t have due to cow’s milk allergy but still a great deal nonetheless. We love soft play and have been to many up and down the country and have to say this is probably our favourite so far!
Carly A — Google review
My daughter had her 7th party there today - the staff were excellent - made my daughter feel special and they were super helpful on the day of the party. Would 100% recommend anyone considering a party here - or a play! Thank you!
Cara S — Google review
Went with my daughters for their friend’s birthday party and it was really well run. The place was clean, safe and had plenty of space for the kids to enjoy themselves. Staff were friendly and kept everything organised, which made it stress-free for the parents too. A great choice for children’s parties.
Ioannis P — Google review
Tickets were quite expensive (£9.45 for 1 adult and a 1 year old child) and only given a 2 hour timeslot at weekend. The softplay for under 4s was good. The bigger kids area looked good but didn't try it. Didn't order food. It was quite busy as it was a weekend, but it wasn't unusable. Would probably find somewhere cheaper to go on the regular but would return if needing something in that area.
J P — Google review
Similar prices as all other soft play places. This one did have quite a lot of tables for sitting at, which could be a good thing but it also meant there was less soft play. It had different sections for each age range. Under 1. 1 to 4. Over 4. 2 VIP areas. Each area was tiny I thought, the over 4 especially. Food was reasonable. Same old same old stuff to buy. The toilets could have been painted brighter ie painted in primary colours rather than plain white.
Tracey W — Google review
I visited this place over the weekend with my 7-month-old baby and, overall, I would not recommend it. While it is appreciated that entry is free for the child, the accompanying adult still needs to pay an entrance fee. Unfortunately, there are no real attractions or activities suitable for such young children, apart from a few blocks they can move around— and that’s about it. I believe this space has potential and should be better utilized, with appropriate attractions provided for infants. There are many ways to create engaging experiences even for very young children, and it’s disappointing that none were available. In conclusion, I would not recommend this place for visitors with babies of this age.
Edyta K — Google review
Highly recommend the toddler sessions in the mornings (9.30-11.30) such good value for money, ticket price includes a hot drink for the adult and unlimited squash and biscuits for the little ones!
Laura M — Google review
I would rate this 0. Worst place ever the area is nice but the crew unfortunately can’t handle situations properly with the parents. I wouldn’t recommend this place for kids under 6 years old coz other parents let their kids to beat small ones and saying that they are kids and they are allowed to do so my 2 year old kid was beaten up by a 5 years kid when i spoke to the crew instead of helping the situation they made it worse by bringing pther parent and that parents instead of explaining her kid that it’s not a good thing to do she was blaming my 2 year boy saying I should’nt bring him there. In short the crew was racist, giving you uncomfortable stares we go there so we can relax a bit not to have more stress. Very unprofessional employees…

Nestled in the vibrant city of Coventry, Coventry University boasts a modern campus with striking contemporary architecture. The university is celebrated for its blend of modernity and heritage, offering a bustling hub of academic excellence and intriguing architectural wonders. With its green spaces winning awards for 11 consecutive years, the campus provides an inviting environment for students and visitors alike. Additionally, the university offers various housing options both on and off-campus to accommodate student needs.
I am an alumni of the Coventry University. It is one of the Best University for student's Education. The University has a great ranking among other Universities in the UK. They have great facilities like The HUB, Cafes and so on for student's leisure. The library is a greatly utilised and easily accessed place for all students. It is located in the heart of Coventry, near the City Centre and the Coventry Cathedral. Transportation is easier as the Pool Meadow Bus Station is at walkable distance. Living in coventry is a great and pocket friendly option for the students (including International Students).

This one-star rating is far too generous for my experience. Their communication is exceptionally poor! I’ve sent multiple emails with no response and have been met with silence every time I try to call their phone lines. For over a week, I've been attempting to get in touch, only to be placed on hold for more than half an hour each time. Most calls end without any response at all, leaving me feeling incredibly frustrated and ignored. This level of service is simply UNACCEPTABLE.

Shit uni. I have been harassed, mocked, gossiped and threatened by both staff and students over rumours of being lesbian and also because of my disability. The university did nothing about it; the police did nothing about it. This constant harassment eventually turned into people threatening to kill me and my family at the university hopsital. I do not recommend this place to white students and I especially do not recommend it to disabled or LGBT people.

Lovely place for a relaxing walk when the weather is pleasant. It's such a stress buster to watch the swans and birds in their happy place doing their thing. I spent some quality time with my newborn and fam. The place was clean when I visited and there's a lovely park for kids to play.
Daphne S — Google review
Nice small place to walk and relax.. there is a park for the children to play and some 'gym' equipment to enjoy when the weather is nice. However very dirty which is a shame! People leave rubbish everywhere, today I saw a swan eating a plastic bag in the water! People, just clean after yourself! Let these animals enjoy "their little space" plus we'd all also enjoy not seeing rubbish everywhere .. bins are provided. Also when feeding the birds, moldy bread/gone off food isn't going to be eaten by them! Think! (You wouldn't eat it, why feed the animals then) And by throwing it in the water isn't making it any better..you're polluting the water for the fish! Respect the place, respect the animals.
Julia K — Google review

Absolutely filthy. There's rubbish and plastic bottles in the pool which are hazardous for the swans. I dont know what the council does, well I'm certain they dont do anything for this park. 1 of the swans had an issue with their leg which is visible in the photos. Poor swans it's actually very saddening to see them in such an environment. Overall, the atmosphere was very dull.

Edgwick Park is a small park located halfway on Foleshill Road in Coventry. It can be hit or miss in terms of how busy and clean it is, with occasional littering issues. The park features two play areas for football and cricket, as well as newly installed indoor-style cricket nets. Despite occasional cleanliness concerns, the park has been made safer for families, children, and pet owners. There are designated areas for various activities such as cricket, basketball, tennis, and football.
Lovely park, like that the path goes the whole way round the park. The orchard is a nice addition since I was last there. Shame some of the old trees have gone from my childhood though.

This is a small park halfway on Foleshill Road. I have visited this park many times, and it can be a hit and miss as to how busy it is. Also, hit hot and miss as to how much litter is strewn all over the place. It baffles me as to why people litter in the children's play area, etc This Saturday, a bunch of my friends, Coventry City Council Biodiversity group, and the Park Rangers met in the park to part in the National Nature Challenge. We were recording how many species of plants and wildlife we could see, including insects etc. In conclusion, Edgewick Park can be a great outdoor space enjoyed by all if all those who use it respect that it has to be kept litter free.
Bob S — Google review
Clean and rather quiet par even though there's plenty of children playing. Lots of green grass to sit down, play ball or whatever else would be on mind!
Yanis L — Google review
It's a nice park but there are people smoking as you enter the narrow park path and then on the seating area. Where the kids play it's clear but I didn't like the fact that my kids had to walk through the smokers
Memes F — Google review
Small size for the amount of people in there in summer time. It has 2 play areas for football and cricket each. The best part and our favourite that this year new indoor style cricket nets have been installed. There are about 6-7 indoor style nets to practice in. Down side is that it could be very dirty sometimes as visitors are not very keen to keep it clean.

My son really enjoyed his time play here. The size of the room is not too big, but actually is perfect because i cant imagine my son run everywhere in a very big room. They let every kids play for maximum 90 mins, i paid £6.25 for 1 adult+1 kid. I also tried the food, but its a little bit disaapointing for me, the price is quite expensive for the not so tasty foods.

The staff here are always really friendly and smiley. The food is a bit pricey but that is a small thing when the soft play is spotlessly clean and staff are always walking around cleaning up (and of course remembering that it's a charity). Covid secure site, including changing and toilets. Allweather hockey pitch plays well, though the surface is quite sharp on sliding skin, removing it far more effectively than other pitches I have played on. Good floodlights, clear markings and pitch runs true without bobble.

Fabulous place, shame about the ridiculous size or the speed bumps 5 star for the club house and well kept sports pitches but only 1 star for the speed humps, in reality they don't deserve 0 star. Who was the idiot that organised them

Coundon Wedge is a stunning expanse of countryside located on the north-west edge of Coventry, offering a delightful escape from urban life. This picturesque area features lush grasslands, mature trees, and charming hedgerows, all interconnected by well-maintained footpaths that make it easily accessible for everyone. It's particularly popular among dog owners who appreciate the ample space for their furry friends to roam—just remember to keep them leashed when horses are around!
Absolutely lovely place! It's a really big area and it's beautiful. Coundon wedge is a good walk and there's a lot of pretty things to see 🐴💕

Lovely place to visit if you have the use of both legs but not accessible for most mobility chairs etc due to non-accessible gates and barriers. Many of the bridges are questionable too in terms of being safe for mobility chairs. Sorry state of affairs in 2025 when accessible gates / barriers are available and should have replaced the ones that are currently at the Wedge years ago - just goes to show that none of the custodians of the Wedge appear to have a clue about accessibility issues. Hopefully this will be put right.

Abbey House in Coventry offers a convenient location close to the train station and within walking distance to the campus. The accommodation provides spacious and quiet studio corner rooms with fast wifi, making it easy for students to settle in. The building manager, Louise, is highly praised for her friendliness and commitment to helping students with any issues they may have. Additionally, Abbey House is near a bakery that offers gluten-free options without major allergens or additives, catering to various dietary needs.
Abbey House is a great student accommodation choice in Coventry. It's a good size (not too big, not too small) and in an excellent location: less than 10 min walk to Coventry University, the city centre and Aldi, and the train station is just a block or two away. The communal facilities - laundry, gym, common area/social space - are very good and well maintained. The studio apartment is very comfortable and well appointed - great study area, smart TV and comfy bed. The kitchen space is divided from the sleeping space with a bench/shelves, which is a great feature. It's also quiet. The staff have all been so friendly and nothing but helpful. I'm happy to recommend Abbey House.
Karen P — Google review
Currently living in Abbey House studio and I’m loving it!! There is a separate area for cooking and eating compared to other studios where there is only one table for everything. The price is also extremely convenient and there are two bus stations near by (walk approx 5 mins). The train station is literally 2 mins walk, also very convenient if you go to Birmingham or London a lot (like me!). Another unusual reason why I’m enjoying a lot is that there are only 6 floors, so the time waiting for the elevator is shorter compared to taller buildings. Btw, the accommodation manager Louise is also extremely friendly and helpful⭐️

[Studio review] Great location! Can't recommend this place enough if you will be commuting via Coventry station often - so close by. Every single staff member I've interacted with has been friendly and welcoming; Louise, the building manager, in particular is incredible, always willing to help and follows up on every issue you have. She's very committed to helping the students and hard working. Studio corner rooms are spacious and quiet, I'm happy with the view. Fast wifi!! Nice buildings near by, nice city area. Having stayed in 4 different university accommodations (one very near Abbey House) I can definitely say it's the best building I've stayed in personally. Nice mix of privacy, staff friendliness and responsiveness (not having to constantly chase people to get important things sorted), feeling supported and safe, convenience, noise levels and functionality. Great accommodation for students looking for a kind / safe atmosphere and post-grad students who want a decent nights sleep.

Best student accommodation in Coventry! I chose the place for my third year based on the amazing reviews and it lived up to all my expectations and more. The room was super clean when I moved in and overall super nice room. The shared kitchen was cleaned weekly as well. I felt safe the whole time which was not always the case in other student accommodation. Big thank you to Louise for being such a sweet, caring and helpful building manager. She is doing a spectacular job and is clearly passionate about her job! Would definitely recommend the accommodation to every student.
Gintare T — Google review
Stayed here for two years and more, a great place to stay in given the accessibility to transportation and the kindness of staff. The house manager Louise is exceptionally kind, responsible, helpful, and committed. She always putts students first and makes sure we feel comfortable as home. Always easy and effective communication with her regarding my needs. Also, love her seriousness to fire safety and evacuation, which ensures the safety of all students. I truly admire her generosity and willingness to go above and beyond to help us whenever we need it! Absolutely the best accommodation experience I’ve ever had!

Stayed in a studio flat for the past academic year and had a very smooth process moving in. Have thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff are all very helpful and fixed any issues very promptly. Would recommend to anyone else who is attending Warwick University as it's very close to two bus stops and a train station if you want a trip to London or Birmingham. The property manager Louise is extremely accommodating and makes the place feel very homely for students.
Alex M — Google review
The location is excellent, with Coventry train station just a two minute walk away. Weekend trips only need to leave home ten minutes before the drive and it's very quick to get home if you get to Coventry too late by train. Also, the room layout is fantastic and I love it. The staff at the flat are particularly friendly, especially lousie who helped me a lot and we are now very good friends. I am able to get a friendly greeting from louise when I go out and when I come home. I have to say, Abbey House gives me the feeling of being at home!

I have been living here for nearly three weeks and I have been able to settle in really well. Abbey House is located conveniently in the sense that it is behind the train station, close to town and only a 10 minute walk to campus. I also appreciate Louise, the accommodation manager who has been lovely enough to help me with everything that I have needed, from getting my parcels to directing me to accommodation facilities - she has really made my transition to living here that much smoother.

London Road Cemetery, also known as Paxtons Arboretum, is a historic garden cemetery in Coventry. Designed by Joseph Paxton in the 1840s to address the city's inadequate burial grounds, it is now a Grade listed park and garden. The cemetery features a variety of tombstones and graves dating back to 1805, making it an intriguing place for history enthusiasts.
Absolutely beautiful, peaceful and authentic cemetery. Too little known, in my opinion. Well worth the visit for a stroll. Houses some gorgeous gravestones, history and memorials which deserve to be seen. Little known fact: all the victims of the Coventry Blitz are buried here in one singular mass grave/memorial. It's also a great place to find rare wildlife and trees.
Devon W — Google review
I am already planning a return visit! Originally I was visiting the Charterhouse across the road, and found they had a leaflet about this cemetery. As we had some time before a dinner reservation, we decided to have a quick walk around. Being a history nerd and family historian, I am quite experienced in grave hunting but this is such an historical and well kept place. Besides information plaques dotted around, graves of people of historical interest are highlighted with information along with a QR code to find out more. There are Commonwealth War Graves among the standard graves. Free to visit although check opening times.
Elizabeth B — Google review
Absolutely appalled by the length of the grass at the cemetery when we visited yesterday. Why is this not being maintained and left for so long? Yesterday there was a company called CW Countrywide ground and maintenance. Two people using a strimmer with grass going absolutely everywhere and all over the graves. There was also damage to our grave with the trimmers ruining a plastic vase and breaking it completely. Absolutely no due care and attention at all. Cut grass just covering the graves
Paul F — Google review
I noticed the cemetery earlier in August 2025 during the visit to the Charterhouse. So returned at the end of the month by train. The walk goes via the Coventry University Technology Park. Lots of historic Victorian buildings and monuments here. Designed by Joseph Paxton. There is the main entrance between the Prospect Tower and Italianate Lodge. Paxton's Memorial. At least two chapels (Anglican and Nonconformist). At least two war memorials. Plus the Carriageway Entrance. Only took about 15 minutes to walk back to the station. And another 10 minute wait to catch Avanti West Coast back to Birmingham New Street.
Elliott B — Google review
Great place to visit. We went to look at the landscape art that is currently there. You may have to visit soon as it will naturally merge into the environment. The restored Anglican chapel is beautiful.

An unexpected highlight of my day trip in Coventry. I was cycling to the Charterhouse and passed through this Joseph Paxton-designed cemetery. It’s laid out in a thoughtful way that draws the visitor to explore all the paths and the diversity of headstones and landscapes contained within. Extra marks for the interpretation boards that had be been installed next to some of the plots telling the history of Coventry through some of its past residents.
Marques — Google review
An expansive cemetery which contains many thousands of burials, including a number of notable people. The site is bisected by a train line, the site to the south has the Civilian War Grave plot where victims of the Coventry Blitz are named and many are buried in a collective grave. A fascinating place to visit.

Priory Garden, located northeast of Holy Trinity Church in Coventry, holds historical significance as the site of St Marys Priory, established in 1043 by Earl Leofric and Lady Godiva. The priory was dedicated to St Mary and housed an abbot and 24 monks until King Henry VIII offered the church buildings to the people of Coventry in a failed attempt to raise funds. Despite its historical importance, the garden has faced issues with drug use after dark.
Outside, free to enter. There are both steps and slopes to access. A great little piece of history to explore on a nice day. Some interesting information on the information boards.

This park is one of the worst parks I have ever visited. There are two swings that are in pretty bad shape from vandals, a climbing frame which looks like it has had it, a slide that is only any good for older children and basket ball / tennis courts. There were smashed glass bottles all over the place and rubbish scattered throughout the park. Looks like no investment has gone into this area for the local people. I only visited because we visited the Stoney Stanton road health centre and there was nowhere to park near swanswell park. What a shame for the young children and families in the local vicinity.

Park
It's a good clear park with plenty of fresh air blowing through giving actual meaning to the word refreshing, sadly with the high winds today my trainer aircraft was locked in auto mode and the winds carried it away even with power off 📴 😢 but the best part was the data logger was invaluable and it all goes into the lesson learned log. And as for the park will be seeing us soon ☺️ for some exciting moment test flying.

Nice place to take the dogs for a walk ❤️
Mandy B — Google review
Give it 3 ☆ only because more benches should be put here by the 'amazing Council of Coventry'.
Cristina G — Google review
I went jogging there. Its a field with a path round, good for jogging and walking the dog. No play area for kids.
Greg S — Google review
Don't recommend you spend anytime there .used by drug takers and alcoholics
Paul M — Google review
