Linhart Square in Radovljica is a captivating medieval square at the center of the old town. The picturesque houses and grand mansion create a charming atmosphere. Inside the mansion, you'll find the Museum of Apiculture, which showcases Slovenia's rich beekeeping heritage and features an extensive display of traditionally painted beehive frontal panels. Muzej Lectar, also known as the Gingerbread museum, offers a glimpse into the history of gingerbread making in Slovenia. The tradition dates back to the 16th century and was popularized in the 19th century. Gingerbread hearts were often used as love tokens. Today, visitors can explore preserved gingerbread from decades ago and even take some home as souvenirs. The museum is complemented by a charming restaurant serving hearty Slovenian classics and delightful desserts.
Eat dinner here. It was amazing. We ate here as a big group and the service was excellent, the food was fun, and the atmosphere was memorable. It was one of my favorite dinners in this part of the world because of the atmosphere.

Seems like a really cute place but their website is misleading. Tours only seem to be available for groups, with no indication of minimum group size requirement. They wouldn’t offer a tour for a single person, which is fair enough but they need to make this clear on the website. The workshop is nice to look at but without the context of a tour there isn’t much to be learned from the experience. Was looking for something to do on a rainy day near Bled and this was unfortunately a wasted journey!
Amy B — Google review
A small but cute museum in Radovljica. The museum is downstairs and displays persevered gingerbread from 35 years ago. Their gingerbread is designed to be kept for up to 3 years a souvenir but can be eaten within 6 months. The restaurant is on the ground floor and looks like a lovely place to dine
Ree A — Google review
We visited this place as part of group tour with Gate 1. There is no gingerbread museum per se. There is small gingerbread workshop. We had vegetarian dinner which was very basic. Musicians did the best job of entertaining you. I like the musical caps game.
Ramesh G — Google review
The posted hours are inconsistent—Google listed 9:00 AM, but the sign outside stated 11:00 AM. When we arrived, the staff ignored us and we were pretty confused with where to go. We checked out the "museum" quickly in the basement and then selected a few cookies. Unaware of the prices, we were shocked when the total came to €60 (€15 per cookie). After we politely explained our misunderstanding at the register and asked to just purchase one cookie for our daughter, the staff rudely insisted the transaction could not be canceled. We did not open any of the cookies. When we left, another couple was trying to come in and the staff turned them away saying they were still closed (it was after 11:00 AM). As for the museum itself, it was very underwhelming. The exhibit was small, poorly organized, and lacked any information about the history of gingerbread. I would not recommend including this as part of an itinerary in Bled, even on a rainy day.
Kristen Z — Google review
Despite being there during the official opening hours, the “ginger-lady” was no longer present. A friendly hotel staff let us see the workshop, but it was certainly a disappointment that we could not experience the baking process itself. And I find it strange that we were allowed to wonder through the baking workshop without any supervision - or is there no more real ginget bread made? 🤷🏻‍♂️
David H — Google review
Having escaped from Venice earlier in the day, we then drove through Slovenia to the Gostilna Lectar. We were tired and somewhat jaded from Venice and couldn't have been happier that when we arrived here. The owners greeted us and made us welcome. Our two rooms were wonderful (and after Venice, a bargain!). The people were friendly and interesting. The food was wonderful. The view from the dining terrace was spectacular. It was truly the highlight to our three weeks in Europe last summer and we plan on revisiting as soon as we can
Don M — Google review
I love this place always visit when we come to Slovenia to to visit family. Happy and friendly staff. Lovely rooms and food available in the hotel. And visit the Gingerbread museum downstairs.

History museum
The Pharmacy and Alchemy museum in Radovljica offers a captivating journey into the world of pharmacy and alchemy. The well-preserved rooms provide an immersive experience, while there is also a dedicated itinerary for children, making it enjoyable for families. The shop is well-stocked and the staff are exceptionally friendly. However, it's important to note that only cash payments are accepted for entrance fees.
Really interesting museum, where you can experience an immersion into the world of pharmacy and alchemy. The rooms are well kept. There is museum itinerary for children too; as an adult, one can discover interesting pieces of information. The shop is well furnished and the personnel is super friendly! Be aware, only, that you have to pay by cash the entrance to the museum.
Sara R — Google review
Great experience, very well curated. At first, we were worried it was just a typical tourist trap, but it is nothing like that. This place has a unique vibe, very friendly and knowledgeable shopkeeper. And we were led in by a black cat (talk about authentic). We also played the game which made the visit even more fun.
Dana P — Google review
I had SO much fun in this museum! Must visit when staying in or visiting the area! The tour is interactive and very informative. I'm so glad I took a day to visit Radovljica, because otherwise I would've missed this gem!
Mars R — Google review
Museum is bigger than expected, I think it is up to 10 rooms. Alchemists and witches had to be quite wise and having wide knowledge about nature and chemistry. My impression! One hour is minimum time spent there I would suggest 6-99 years visitors advised.
Ondra L — Google review
🪄💎 I can confidently say that this is one of the best museums I’ve ever visited! It’s truly unique, packed with details, antiques, crystals, minerals, and alchemical treasures. 🧙‍♂️What sets it apart is that it’s not just a museum, but also an interactive quest—solve puzzles and earn a diploma! There’s also a lovely shop with alchemical scents, crystals, natural creams, and more. ♥️ The owners are incredibly warm and friendly, making you feel like you’re visiting family rather than just a museum. The owner’s daughter hosted us and made the experience unforgettable - she is so so great!!😊 I highly recommend visiting this museum! 💯 Matija&Lorena
Matija K — Google review
Such a quaint museum, but also interesting and informative on the history of alchemy and pharmacy. The game you can play while going through the exhibits was also more fun and involving than I expected. Highly recommended!
Marius G — Google review
This is the best small museum we've ever been. Small-ish in size but absolutely amazing in content. The upstairs where it is for the paid customers only, holds so much treasure! On top of it, children are being given an interactive booklet which completely immerses them in the world of pharmacy and alchemy. Well worth visit!

Radolska cokolada is a must-visit chocolate shop located in a beautiful town. The shop offers an array of pralines, including an award-winning buckwheat variety, and other delicious treats like soft ice cream. Visitors praise the friendly staff who provide excellent service. The family-owned business is known for its divine chocolates and homemade creations.
Not just delicious chocolate but the best soft whip mango ice-cream ever!! We visited 4 times in two weeks just to be sure and had a wonderful chat with the owner on a rare moment of quiet between their many customers.
Jmcr A — Google review
The ice cream was delicious, the owner is a very nice person and really tries to make the customer happy. We bought some chocolates and only saw the expiry dates on them when we got home. Please check the range or be careful when entering dates as I believe this is a mistake and not deliberate. The customer should get the best quality goods.

This absolutely worth the trip to this chocolate shop. They have very interesting pralines and an award winning one made of buckwheat. Staff very friendly. The town it is in also is great to visit. Cute coffee shops. Ceramics and a museum. Really worth while

Straža Bled is a small resort hill that offers stunning views of Lake Bled, the castle, and the surrounding mountains. It is a popular spot for both summer and winter activities. In the summer, visitors can enjoy adrenaline-pumping sledding on the slope with a gondola ride to the top and then a thrilling ride back down. There's also an Adventure Park and other attractions like tube rides and free fall simulators.
went at 13:00 and it took an hour and a half to get to go up by ski lift (would recommend just walking up- around 20 minutes up a trail(so not directly up!) but was an excellent ride! beautiful views from on top.
Pritham N — Google review
Stunningly beautiful but so so busy! Very difficult to travel around by car during peak times and reaching the car parking on a single lane road was a bit difficult. The toboggan run was super fun, get there nice and early to avoid long queues. Plenty of other activities to enjoy while you’re there as well. The people running the toboggan looked very fed up 😢
Andrew C — Google review
Great last second addition to the trip! We found ourselves with a little extra time and had heard about the roller coaster ride from online. We came here around mid-October and both the roller coaster and chair lift were still open so we decided to give it a go! Of course the coaster was a ton of fun but the line was a little long. The best part is at the top there is a view of the lake where you can get a similar view as the hikes at the south side of the lake without needing to hike up! Totally worth a visit if you have time!
Kevin B — Google review
Unfortunately didn't manage to get on the toboggan because of 2 hours wait time!! I really don't understand why it take so long for the queue to move as you can see a lot of empty chairlifts going up. I am pretty sure if you can get on the toboggan it will be very good fun
Joe W — Google review
Got there around 12:30 and the waiting time was estimated at 90 minutes. Accurate, but so worth the ride and the tobbogan ride. Amazing views. Facilities on site and toilets were 0.50€
Chill K — Google review
- Come early in the morning before the lines build up, as they have to put the toboggans on the lift chairs and control the people at the top so only every 3-4 chairs is one group allowed up. - Don’t wear a hat as they’ll ask you to take off before it flies off during your ride - Parking is 3 EUR at the grounds - Brakes is operated by you but leave some space between the person infront of you if you want to go full speed (no brakes)
Zi W — Google review
Awesome experience, great view, good staff. You can use gondola to climb and get down with tobogan. I was scared at first, but staff made me feel so safe. Highly reccomend! Great for kids also! Check their website for working hours!
Dzi D — Google review
Way more fun that I thought I was going to have! Paid for 1 journey up on the ski lift and 1 toboggan. I'd actually recommend doing 2+ toboggans because the first and only time we did it we were a bit hesitant and then immediately wanted to try it again but faster! Beautiful views. Don't trust Google and their timings, check their actual website instead as they are open every day from 10am in summer, we went for 10 and no queues at all.

Actually visited only the restaurant, which frankly, was the best experience in Slovenia. All employees there were pleasant, helpful, always having a smile. About food: it was very tasty, authentic Slovenian cuisine, big portions(couldn’t eat all) and good prices. The area was very beautiful, traditional decorated. Worth visit the city and this restaurant specifically. Guys keep up the good work.

We ate dinner at the restaurant; we did not stay at the hotel. The dinner was very tasty. Slovenian traditional food. Friendly staff. Very cozy and authentic. There is no parking at the restaurant (it's in a car-free area of the town) so be sure to find out ahead of time where you can park, if you are driving there.
AB — Google review
Lovely village, felt "authentic". We had to wait for quite some time before our food arrived (+-20min), but the quality of the food explained why. It was nothing short of delicious. Service was great and the staff was friendly. If you find yourself not being able to choose from the menu, I do recommend the tagliatelle with beef and truffle.
Victor C — Google review
Food was great and very well served. Also the soup in the bread was tasty. Prices coherent with the quality. You can eat outside on the nice oldstyle street.
Michele G — Google review
Super cute restaurant ! We ate outside it’s an adorable setting. The service was perfect and the food was homey and delicious. Perfect portions and great value for money. A gem !
Eline L — Google review
The food was nice, not prefect , but very good! The lady there was very friendly explained us the menu and food, so much traditional stuff around feel so cozy and nice! I do recommend!
Samin S — Google review
It took one hour to get the only main dish we ordered to share, even though we were the first ones to order and other tables that arrived later were served before us. We also ordered a soup that on the menu appeared to be served in bread, but it wasn’t. On top of that, the water we ordered never arrived. When I asked the waiter about the delay, he raised his voice from another table and answered rudely. The food was correct and traditional Slovenian

I sadly dont have any pictures of the food since my food died, but it looked as tasty as it was! I had gulasch and my Fiancé something with Sauerkraut , different sausages and belly meat. Both tasted fantastic and it was a rly nice experience. The Jägermeister also was fantastic. Defenetely a go to if you want good local and authentic food!

Mini Golf
Adventure Mini Golf Panorama is a perfect spot for families and travelers in Slovenia. The location offers a safe environment for kids to enjoy activities like mini golf and gold searching, while parents can relax and take in the beautiful natural surroundings. With reasonable prices, well-maintained courses, and various entertainment options including zip lines and foosball tables, this place guarantees a fun outing for all. Additionally, visitors can savor coffee with stunning views at the on-site café.
While driving by on highway and need a rest , coffee.. or if visiting this part of Slovenia just for fun here is the place to chill while kids play in safe environment (mini golf, gold search, etc). Nice location in nature easy to find (good road signs) reasonable prices (5€ for adult and 4€ for kids- minigolf 12 holes). The best thing for kids is search for gold as seen on pictures - parents can take a break while kids are having fun :)
Diego P — Google review
Had a great time at this mini golf course. The staff was super friendly and even gave us a bonus fourth game for free, which made the experience even better. The course itself is fun and well maintained, and they offer drinks and pizza, though I didn’t try the pizza. A cool thing they do is give you a free second game if you tag them on your Instagram story, which is a nice little bonus. That said, the course could use a bit more variety. It’s only 12 holes and doesn’t have the classic mini golf obstacles like windmills, fun ramps, water features, or more creative terrain. It would be great to see them expand and add more interactive holes in the future. The equipment is decent, nothing fancy but it does the job. Overall, a really enjoyable place with great vibes and amazing staff. Worth a visit, especially with the bonus games😃
J M — Google review
I went here with my family. It is very well decorated and the surrounding nature is very beautiful. There is a total of 12 holes. The owner was very nice and let us play a second free round after we tagged the place on our story. The obstacles on the course culd be a bit more diverse. And it can sometimes get a bit crowded. After all we all had a great time and would recommend.
Miha M — Google review
It has been fun playing on this mini golf course, it is well maintained there are no visible damages to the green. However the courses are very similar and should increase in difficulty from one to the next one. You can even play on a hot day, 80% are in the shade of the trees 👍🏻

We are visiting this place multiple times a year because it’s cosy and perfect for kids and they also have the best waffles with Nutella😁
David P — Google review
Adventure Mini Golf Panorama is a fun and relaxing place, perfect for both kids and adults. The mini golf course is set in the shade of the trees, which makes it very pleasant even on warm days. There’s also a small stream where children can pan for “gold” and win cute little prizes. After the game, we enjoyed refreshing homemade lemonades in a peaceful setting. Affordable prices, friendly atmosphere, and a great way to enjoy a couple of hours outdoors. Definitely recommended!

Awesome experience ! I found my bike on extremevital website with an additional discount comparing to the french national distributors. The Čebelarski muzej Radovljica is a captivating museum that delves into the rich tradition of beekeeping in Slovenia. It boasts an extensive collection of intricately illustrated beehive panels from the 18th and 19th centuries, showcasing a unique form of folk art specific to Slovenia. Visitors can marvel at extraordinary beehives fashioned in remarkable shapes such as life-sized figures, a miniature mansion, and even a lion.
As a beekeeper, I really enjoyed the Beekeeping Museum. Right at the start, there’s a short video about the life of bees that everyone should watch—it’s very informative and gives a great introduction to these amazing insects. One of the highlights is the glass hive where you can see the bees working up close without disturbing them. The museum also showcases beautiful hive paintings that capture the essence of beekeeping. There’s a model apiary displaying traditional tools and equipment used by beekeepers, which I found very interesting. At the end, you can play a simple and fun bee game on a TV, making the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, the museum offers a great mix of education, art, and beekeeping culture. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in bees!

I didn't really expect much from this, but it was surprisingly interesting. The exhibits showed the tools and traditions of beekeeping. The entrance fee of 8 euros seemed high, but I think it was just worth it.

We visited the museum op Apiculture, beekeeping. It is very modern, has a lot of information in English and is very interactive for children. There’s a video game as well. And there’s an active beehive- look for the queen, she has a yellow dot on her back. Our kids were very enthusiastic. 🤩 🐝

Excellent museum about beekeeping in Slovenija, THE country of beekeeping! Historical presentations and artistic items, as well as informations about the life of bees. There is even a living beehive IN the museum, the bees flying through a tunnel to the outside world! Hvala lepa! Hidden in the old town of Radovljica you will find this incredibly detailed museum dedicated to bees and bees keeping. There is even a living bee hive in the museum, the bees can leave through a tube through the window. It was amazing to actually look into the beehive while learning about bees.

A nice museum about beekeeping. It really shows the passion that Slovenian people have for beekeeping and nature in general. Everyone, from children to adults can find something interesting here.

This museum is surprisingly large and informative. Even my wife, who studied biology in university, learned something about bee behavior! There is also a good display about the development of beekeeping over time that we enjoyed. The highlight for us might have been the active hive where you could watch the bees go in and out, and demonstrate some of the behaviors discussed earlier in the museum!

Temporary exhibitions of Slovenian and foreign artists are organized here, as well as a permanent exhibition focused on childhood fairy tales. We could only admire it from the outside, because it was closed... but it is at least worth admiring it and maybe taking a souvenir photo.
