Lake Vouliagmeni, located in the Athenian Riviera, is a scenic natural wonder with thermal mineral water. It is part of the National NATURA 2000 list and home to unique organisms like the Garra Rufa fish known for skin exfoliation. The lake's crystal-clear waters are fed by underground hot springs, offering a constant temperature year-round. Visitors can swim and enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery.
We had an amazing experience here! The doctor fish were incredibly therapeutic, they took a little bit to get used to but once I did it was so fun. It was really an awesome unique experience! Our waitress Olga was incredibly attentive and made our entire experience amazing! Thank you especially for Olga! We also had several drinks and food all of which were delicious! The service was also very nice and fast, I highly recommend checking the lake out on your visit to Greece!

A hidden gem for sure - more of a beach club than we were expecting but it’s very relaxed with a great array of amenities (showers, bar, restaurant). It’s a beautiful setting and the doctor fish were a great add to the experience. Staff aren’t the most welcoming or attentive but the food was tasty. Would recommend!

Had a wonderful time at the lake today, we got there for about 11-11.30 (via metro and bus, took an hour) and queued for 10 minutes. Didn’t ask for student identification and we easily managed to get two sunbeds as there was still many available. It was lovely vibe. Foods quite pricey for small portions and not a lot of vegetarian options, just tomato basil pasta or margherita pizza as the two hot mains. We spent a few hours here, loved the fish. Water was SO salty! Not seen anyone else post about how salty it was, suprised me a lot! The lake was pretty cold despite it saying 25 degrees but fair enough. Changing facilities were good. Only two cubicles for female toilets though which surprised me. I enjoyed the experience as a whole!

This place is just suuuuper cool👍👍 Enjoyed it just a to the beginning of March, sunny weather. Sun is very warm, but not burning, temperature in the lake is very refreshing. Lake is surrounded by the high rocks, so there is no wind there, just a smooth breeze. All what you need on weekend!! and it is very close to Athens 👍
Maxim N — Google review
Absolutely great idea to visit this lake. Come early as the sunbeds get occupied pretty fast by lunch time. No sunscreen allowed into the water, which is perfect in my opinion. Food and drinka available as well as wheelchair access.
Diana S — Google review
This is a spectacular lake and chill beach club. It is such great spot to spend the day but the bad service of the staff there really let it down. I visited in June 2024 and had a wonderful experience in a cabana with my family. I even wrote an 3-page feature article about the Athens Riviera mentioning it and Abraovato for Robb Report ANZ where I was the assistant editor at the time. This year my visit today was still beautiful but the service was underwhelming. There was a mix up with my booking on the door which resulted in the blonde female manager in charge being very rude to on the door acting aggressively from the start. Then after settling down to read in our pre-booked lounge chairs for 50 euro (not what we thought wee were getting really) we ordered mineral water and coffee and decided to make the most of where we were seated. But after our first swim we were then surrounded by two male lifeguards, a swarthy and loud old male pool cleaner, and another two older male service people who gossiped very loudly right behind us for over 25 -30 minutes which made me very uncomfortable and made it hard to concentrate on drawing and reading (let alone sleeping which would have been nice). I didn't come to the beach club to sit around with a bunch of strange men who were supposed to be working and weren't. Every time i turned around they were staring at me. The place was pretty empty so we asked to please be moved to a quieter spot and we did move to some chairs right around the back of the lake where we continued reading and sketching the lake. We ordered a salad and a cocktail and moved all our own stuff to some new sun beds that were just in the sun. Again empty beds around us for as far as the eye could see Then we were getting prepared to relax when the blonde female manager came back over and told us we had to pay another 60 euro to stay on the sunbeds. So instead of staying until 6.00pm and eating and drinking as we had intended and having a snooze there went to the One &Only for lunch in Glyfada where the service, pool and bar is impeccable. This beach club could have made our stay so pleasant and enjoyable and the unprofessional staff really let it down. Had they offered us an upgrade to start with and some good service we could have had a great time. I have told so many people about this place and now I will not continue to because there is a nasty attitude in the staff that is truly inexplicable.
Belinda A — Google review
Everything is great. But look on this toilets.??? 17 euros entrance ticket and you can not fix it. You can see a neighbor in another cabin from the hole in that plastic cover. The door is not closing and the button with a mechanism outside
Valeriia M — Google review
Very beautiful place. But the staff ist handeling und the equipment during opening houers in the afternoon which is very noisy and disturbing. They even take your chairs away you pay for and put yor stuff somewhere else 2h before closing. If one charges about 40 EUR entrance fee clarly wrong.

Restaurant
APLÓ Astir Beach is a renowned beach club and restaurant located in Kavouri, run by the founder's three daughters and their children. The staff is known for their exceptional hospitality, making guests feel welcome and remembered. While it can be pricey and busy on weekends, visiting during June offers a more relaxed experience with slightly lower prices. The restaurant offers excellent food made with high-quality ingredients, ensuring a delightful dining experience by the beautiful Asteras beach.
I saw a lot of bad reviews so I was hesitant to come here, but Giannis (might be screwing up his name, 21 year old young man) was our server and he went above and beyond. Could not have dreamed of a better place to spend the day. Thank you Giannis!
Sarah T — Google review
We ordered a pear salad, Bao pork, the shrimp plate and a kids bolognese pasta. The pear salad was edible, everything else: the boa bun itself is bad quality and seems old, the meat inside very little and tasteless and the cabbage hard and dry. The shrimp looked as if it was made by kids who were experimenting with plain mustard and feta, it’s sauce bitter, squashed and salty. Even the pasta was barely ok, the meat bolognese sauce smelled like days old and tastes like cheap meat. The expensive restaurant seemed trying only to show good looking plates with not so great quality ingredients with too much happening and really no basic cooking skills. The hostess asked us while popping her gum how much she should add for service as tips.
Jessica H — Google review
I had the daily cheese pie which was made fresh and quite good. My husband had ham and cheese toast which he said was good. We were originally given drink and food menus that were absolutely disgusting. Leftover food and drink on them, which I promptly returned to the host stand. The service definitely could be better but the food we ordered was okay.
Amy ( — Google review
Bad food with horrible service combines. Culminates in a horrible experience. It you are ok waiting for deep fried beach food 2 hours, then this your place!
August F — Google review
This place is run by a sexiest general manager who refused to speak to my wife when there was a problem with our reservation. He offended her by saying “here in Greece the men speak to the men not the women”. My wife and I were born in Greece and speak Greek. This was not a comment bc we are tourists, it’s because he is a jerk. He does not deserve your time, energy, or business. You also don’t need to spend 18 euros for a Greek salad with no cucumbers.
John T — Google review
Worst beach club in the area. The owner is the worst part of the “experience”. They are unaccommodating and don’t understand hospitality. Beyond that, the owner is incredibly sexist, stating that “I won’t speak to the women of the family. Here in Greece we talk to the men”. We are Greek, and that’s the furthest thing from the truth. Reprehensible behavior from this place. We’ve come here quite a bit in the past, but this will be the last time. Steer clear if you want to relax. Such a disappointment.
Travis M — Google review
The restaurant is fitting the overall Astir beach experience: a tourist trap offering overpriced, tasteless food. The only reason it's popular is its proximity to the beach.
Dimitris P — Google review
We arrived at 1:10pm and were the first people to arrive , we had to pour our own water and nobody offered to help. Being the first there and other arriving and then getting their food before us. We asked why our food was taking so long because we had a flight to catch shortly later, the waiter had said we orderd a lot more food. But that's not an excuse for it to take longer because if we put in order in before the other people why does it not get cooked before. There were empty glasses with no water and nobody offered to pour water in. The food wasn't that amazing i had pasta and it was pretty hard, there was one waiter doing all of the work running around. I do not recommend this place in other words do not come here.

Swimming lake
Thermal baths
Nestled along the stunning Athenian Riviera, Vouliagmeni Lake is a captivating natural wonder that deserves a spot on your travel itinerary. Recognized as part of the National NATURA 2000 list, this freshwater lake boasts unique geological features and an underwater cave stretching over 3 kilometers, shrouded in mystery. The surrounding hills create a picturesque backdrop for visitors looking to unwind by the water's edge.
I had a great time at Lake Vouliagmeni in Athens! The entrance fee is €17, which includes a comfortable sunbed by the lake. It’s easy to reach by car. In the lake, small fish help clean the dead skin off your feet—it was really interesting! I also enjoyed a coffee there for around €5. The area is beautiful and the neighborhood is lovely. If you want to eat, I recommend Restaurant Koutales, just 500 meters away. Overall, I highly recommend Lake Vouliagmeni for a relaxing and enjoyable day!
Patricia P — Google review
Amazing spot ! During our 4 days trip in Athen we went down to Vouliagmeni and this was one of my favorite place. We paid 19€ per person on weekends (just the entrance fee) and then you have several chairs at your disposal. Could seem expensive but at least infrastructure are up to date and clean. Very easy for people with reduced mobility, it has great things dedicated for them, from special area to a machine to get down to the water. Quite expensive but worth it !
Aurélien G — Google review
We called ahead during the week to check availability, and they confirmed there was space. When we arrived, there was construction noise from the site where stands were being set up for a RedBull competition. At the entrance, they informed ticket buyers that they needed to accept the noise and that no refunds would be issued later due to the disturbance. I wish they had mentioned this when we called, as we wouldn’t have visited that day! But since we were already there, we decided to buy tickets and go in. Once inside, we found very few people and were greeted by the beautiful and impressive atmosphere of the lake. Despite the noise, it was initially nice to spend time there. The water in the lake isn’t spectacular, but it was pleasant enough to get in and out and enjoy the surroundings. It’s fun to sit with your feet in the water and let the fish nibble at them. The area is clean, and the toilets and changing rooms are well-maintained. We got a pizza and fries from the restaurant, and it was okay. The real discomfort began when more people arrived. For such an enclosed space, there were far too many sunbeds placed side by side. Unlike a beach, where sounds dissipate, the noise here echoed. The noise from the people was far more disturbing than the construction work. Even after the construction ended, the noise from the crowd was still overwhelming. If there were fewer sunbeds, spaced out more, it could have been a pleasant experience. But not only do they charge high ticket prices, they’ve also crammed in far more sunbeds than the space can handle. It’s impossible to enjoy a peaceful time with all the echoing noise from the surrounding people. So, if you do decide to experience it, I recommend choosing a time when it’s likely to be as empty as possible.
Murat Y — Google review
Beautiful lake was created after the roof of a cave collapsed. You can have a group part here. Need to purchase a ticket to enter.
Titanium V — Google review
Very nice place. Two remarks: 1- The internet tickets give wrong information that it's not tickets available and at the ticket box we bought and had a fantastic time. 2- At the double shower next the wood changing boxes only the one had the handle to open the water.
Nikos49k — Google review
We loved it a lot. Yes it is a bit pricey (17 euros), but you get included sits and the area is genuinely clean and quiet. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and having our feet cleaned by the fish. We got there from Athens by metro and then taxi, as the bus number 122 did not come.
Theodora M — Google review
Love this lake! I’ve been twice. One with my best friends and once with my 23 yr old son. We all had a great visit here. It’s 18€ to get in for the day but we usually only stay a couple hours and feel like it’s worth it. There are chairs and loungers with umbrellas and wait staff to bring you drinks, which are reasonably priced. It all feels very bougie! Then there’s the lake, which is beautiful. There are little fish in the lake that eat your dead skin like in the fish spas. If you’re not into that, just keep your body moving and they will leave you alone. If you are into that, be as still as you can and they will come. It tickles and is fun! Also if you just want to put your feet in so they can clean your feet, there is a bench where you can do that. I have also been told by several locals that the restaurant here ks very good but I have not eaten there. This is definitely a worthwhile 1/2 day trip from Athens. We took a taxi but you could also use the metro. The first time I visited the lake on the way to Poseidon’s temple in the south and it was a perfect day trip!
Samantha J — Google review
A place worth a visit but you have to have at least half a day to spend there, full day even better. Place looks amazing. View is great. Water is warm. I think only let in certain amount of people. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food was good.

Mediterranean restaurant
Krabo is a chic beachfront eatery located in a secluded bay just a short drive from the center of Athens. The restaurant offers a menu inspired by the Aegean Sea, featuring an array of seafood dishes and traditional Greek options made with local ingredients. In addition to the dining experience, Krabo provides full-service sunbeds and cabanas on its private beach, creating an oasis for visitors to relax and enjoy Mediterranean cuisine under the pergola.
One of the best places I enjoyed in Athens. It has a great view, nice secluded beach and great food. Overall a great atmosphere to spend a complete day on the beach.
Shereif O — Google review
I really enjoyed the location, the beach vibes and the pulse of this bar. It is mainly filled with tourists. Be careful with your footwear if you'll sit in the sandy bar of the bar. Good cocktails, however vefy pricy.
Katherina F — Google review
This is my favorite beach in the Athens Riviera. You can swim as soon as you get in the water, the towels are clean, and the sun loungers are comfortable. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious; the kitchen is amazing. You just don't want the day to end. Highly recommend!

Thank you for a wonderful evening, super tasty food and low pleasant music. Friendly staff, perfect evening view to the sea. Reservation is needed.
Dan I — Google review
There was seven of us and they accommodated us really nicely. We had drinks, lunch, hung out in the water and had more drinks. The music was great but the speaker was directly in front of us, so it was a little loud for us to talk. Definitely worth the trip and the money we spent.
Tank — Google review
Quite a romantic location especially in the evening when all the lights across the bay are lighten on. Food quality was high as were the prices. A must try the tartare and ceviche options. Recommended for a special evening out.
Paola — Google review
Top Location. The manager pays attention to it's guest and is always present. When there is a request he is always there to help and solve any issue. The service is fast and flawless, even during the hot hours of the day when resting should be recommended for normal people. Music is great, modern and exactly what to expect from a beach club. All in all absolute recommend.
Richard M — Google review
The location and the overall atmosphere is unique. The combination of the loud bar crowd and the dinners may not be unique - especially when busy. The service needs to be improved a lot. We visited on August 22nd and requested a second bottle of the same wine to be open and served when the first was exhausted. This did not happen. The sommelier was nowhere to be found and the waiters kept forgetting to fill our glasses. When we requested the bottle to be left on the table so we could serve ourselves to make up for the lack of service they refused saying that the restaurant did not have any icebuckets! This was not true because they had the water is ice buckets. So our late second botlle of wine appeared and "disappeared" once again and our glasses were soon left empty. The solution is probably to avoid busy times. The food was outstanding.

Zen Beach is a serene eatery located on the tranquil bay of the Athenian Riviera, offering a laid-back atmosphere and stunning views. The beach provides attentive service with a variety of beverages, cocktails, snacks, and Mediterranean dishes served right to your sunbed. With its beautiful landscape featuring lush gardens and a small but charming beach area, Zen Beach is an ideal spot for relaxation.
Liked the spot VERY MUCH, and will also try biding it late in the evening! Food was good but giving it a 4/5 because I think that it would be good to have more MEZE options, plus more traditional ones. Portions of what we tried were large. Staff was helpful but seemed a bit lost some times so I would rate it around 4.4/5 atmosphere is great!!

Absolutely love it! We visited twice during our stay in Athens. Welcoming faces and staff right at the door, always very accommodating. The setting is beautiful, the beach part and the restaurant. We love the call button installed with each sun bed with very efficient service. The food was fantastic! Fresh, simple and perfect for summer hot day. We love the local atmosphere with many Greek people, friends and families. An idyllic place to spend a day!

Amazing place!!! I would not argue that it's expensive, but for this price you really get what you've paid for and more! Private space, calm and clean water, very attentive, polite and fast service, towels, 2l water bottle provided, wifi, safe box! Wasn't shocked by the prices as well- large portions and delicious food! Changing rooms, clean toilets! If anytime again in Athens, I'll definitely come here again! Thank you!!!

Highly recommend this beach club. We went there on a Sunday and even though we didn’t have a reservation Theo was able to fix us lounge chairs. The food was all very good and the service was also acceptable given it was super crowded on a weekend. The music selection was great (nothing loud, always nice calm stuff) and the sea was also really clean and good. Staff were kind and helpful. Overall I can happily recommend it.

Marina
Astir Marina Vouliagmenis is a small but charming marina that offers a relaxing atmosphere with its variety of boats and yachts. Visitors can take leisurely strolls along the waterfront, admiring the picturesque scenery. While currently undergoing construction to become a state-of-the-art facility, it already boasts an excellent restaurant and bar called Moorings. The marina also features high-end stores like Gucci and YSL, as well as great cafes for visitors to enjoy.
Marina Vouliagmeni is without a doubt one of the most exclusive and breathtaking destinations in Greece. A masterpiece of luxury and elegance, it offers pristine surroundings, ample space for the world’s finest superyachts, and an unparalleled shopping experience with elite brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Rolex, and Louis Vuitton. The gourmet dining is exceptional, the views are mesmerizing, and the atmosphere is pure sophistication. Just 25 minutes from central Athens, yet it feels like a private island retreat. And for those who demand the highest level of convenience, there’s even a private helipad for seamless arrivals by helicopter. If you seek the ultimate in luxury, this is the place to be. A true gem—highly recommended!
Adreas T — Google review
It is kind of shocking seeing how this place has changed. Boutique shops of well known designers are "infesting" the place with what appears to be a luxurious marina with equally luxurious shops. During my visit there was just one shop offering coffees, beverages and limited food options. Coffee priced at 7€ was expected but honestly nothing exceptional about it. Parking was free, but i am sure this will change in time. I visited Thursday evening, and not a lot of people were around. All in all a nice place to visit.
Apostolis M — Google review
During our visit to Athens, my brother took my wife and me on a tour with his classic car, and one of the most memorable stops was Astir Marina Vouliagmenis. The marina itself is stunning—lined with beautiful yachts, crystal-clear waters, and a serene atmosphere that perfectly captures the elegance of the Athenian Riviera. We enjoyed a lovely ice cream there while taking in the views, which made the moment even more special. It’s not just a marina; it’s a place where you can relax, stroll, and soak in the charm of Athens by the sea. If you like to enjoy the high quality life, then it is highly recommended for anyone visiting Vouliagmeni—whether for a walk, a coffee, or simply to enjoy the peaceful luxury of the surroundings 👍
Ahmed G — Google review
A marina that makes yachts that allow small boats to enter and exit the sea in case of an emergency. Listening to sailors and providing assistance when needed. A meticulous organization with the help of the marina's security team. Upon entering, you are greeted with great care and extreme kindness. Thank you to the hostess. At the port management office, two people, George and Maria, are equally professional and kind, attentive and helpful. I was therefore able to get my boat out, repaired, and relaunched in an extremely simple and reassuring manner. A big congratulations to the policy and management put in place by the owner-managers who are willing to help; no need for a much smaller boat than the structure is designed for. Entry and exit: €50 With proper documents and vehicle insurance upon entry. The ASTIR MARINA had already saved me with a release in 2017. BRAVISSIMO Alexandre

I’m changing my review to 1 star due to the newly introduced surcharge just for entering the area. This policy will drastically reduce customer traffic - demand and harm local businesses. I suggest reconsidering before causing further damage to overall investment and the area’s appeal.

Seafood restaurant
Panorama Seafood Restaurant in Greece offers a delectable dining experience with its variety of handmade appetizers, hot dishes, and fresh fish from the Greek seas. The restaurant is known for its house specialties like lavraki fish and linguine with shrimps, as well as the catch of the day. Situated along the beautiful Athenian Riviera, diners can enjoy their meals while gazing at stunning ocean views.
The perfect place to have a great meal, the fish is always fresh and perfectly cooked and there are plenty of options for meat lovers and vegetarians too. Prices are very reasonable for the area and the food much better than some neighbouring “premium” restaurants where you can pay up to double. Finally the staff are very polite and professional always serving with a smile!

I visited Panorama with my family last September. The food and service was excellent. It can be reached by tourists using the Tour bus (Red, Brown or Blue buses) going the Beaches.

We came here after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. We ordered fried cheese, calamari, shrimp risotto and pork souvlaki. This is honestly the first time we’ve eaten in Greece where I was utterly disappointed. Everything tasted like it had been frozen and re-cooked and it had no seasoning to it. When we got our bill, I noticed there were several smaller charges on it. They bring you bread at the beginning of dinner, but don’t tell you that they’re going to charge you three euros for it. Also they ask you if you want flat water but don’t tell you that they’re charging you for a full bottle of water on a per person basis. I honestly feel like we were scammed and the food was mediocre at best. The one thing that this place has going for them is the views. The service wasn’t attentive. Maybe because we’re Americans. It seemed like the locals received more attention. The views are the only good thing this restaurant had going for it on this visit.

When all you want to do is sit in front of the beach in Platis Gialos and eat some Mediterranean food, come here. Not the cheapest in town, but reasonable prices and good quality food. A favorite was the grilled octopus and, surprisingly, the okra.
A. K — Google review
Very delicious greek food and good service. I have been two times and it is always good. Next time I have to try the mussels because seems fantastic. The people are friendly and kind. Same prices of the other restaurant in the area, but with a higher standard. Very good restaurant for Greek food with Fantastic view.

This is, by far, my favourite restaurant in the world. I've been many, many times. The food is fantastic, the service is brilliant, and the views are simply stunning. I'd recommend a trip just to eat here.

The service, food, atmosphere and view were perfect. Thank you Dimitri and staff for your amazing efforts! We'll always remember you. :)

Perched on a hill overlooking the sea, the Temple of Apollo Zoster is an ancient Greek temple dating back to the 6th century BC. Dedicated to Apollo, the god of music and poetry, this site offers stunning views of both sunrise and sunset. Despite attempts to charge entrance fees, visitors have the right to access it for free under Greek law. The temple's location by the beach allowed worshippers to bask in sunlight, adding to its allure.
How can you miss this place when in Athens? As you stand on these ruins now you wonder why was this temple was placed by the beach? One can answer that in that temple the sunrise and the sunset are visible hence the temple of the Sun God was always bathed by Sun rays.
Harilaos P — Google review
Free to visit if you let the guard know that you’re only here for the temple. It’s not much, just a small temple and a sign with some information, but it’s quiet and easy to visit.
Nieske V — Google review
This temple is inside the property of a beach club with a steep entrance fee or er person and a steep parking fee, if you can get in. Not worth visiting. The beach club has built a glass window in their side wall where IF you can manage to park for a few minutes you can stare at the ruins. Not worth a trip, but if you are in the area, by all means....
O N — Google review
Uhhh it’s cool I guess as a ruin, but it’s on the private property of the beach so you have to pay to get up close, otherwise you can see it from the fence. I wish there was a historical plaque or something to tell me a little more about this place and it’s significance.
Mary U — Google review
Great temple to visit when in Athens and IT'S FREE! If they ask you to pay for a charge you can refuse and they will have to let you in as this is not a private property of the hotel. They only ask you to pay because they think people do not know they can access it for free.
Danay K — Google review
The contrast between the private beach , the sea and this ancient site is just breathtaking... Greece needs in general an artist depiction of each monument in order to get the grandeur and importance of each historical site.
C. E — Google review
Such a beautiful temple in a nice beach! The entrance is free! They are not allowed to make money out of it. They aren't the owners of it. Just mention that you want to enter for free!

This is a really nice beach club, and in my opinion, probably the best one in the Athens area. The service is good, the sea water is crystal clear, and there’s no loud music — which makes it perfect for relaxing, reading a book, or just enjoying the atmosphere. That said, the prices are on the higher side. On weekends and holidays, expect to pay around €160 for two people (two sunbeds and one umbrella). Towels are not included and come at an extra charge. The restaurant is also quite expensive — for example, a cappuccino at the bar costs €5.50. What I didn’t like was that it was served in a paper cup, even after I asked for a proper cup. That was disappointing, as enjoying coffee in a real cup is part of my ritual. A very unique aspect of this place is the presence of ancient ruins — the remains of a temple thousands of years old are located right on the property, which was an incredible and unexpected surprise. Overall, everything else was excellent, and I can definitely recommend this beach club. Just make sure to book in advance through their website. Also note that parking is available right next to the club, at €15 per day.
Iryna — Google review
We had a fantastic time at this Beach! The atmosphere was super chill and the staff were really friendly. We recommend booking sunbeds in advance, as they can fill up quickly. The only negative aspect of my experience was that we were not informed about the parking fee.
G K — Google review
We had a nice time at this beach. The water is shallow very far out so it’s good for kids or non swimmers. The sights were beautiful and the chairs were comfortable. The staff was great too. The only downside is that it is expensive. I’m talking €10 per large water bottle - these are 1€ elsewhere. The food and drinks were also USD priced at €20 a cocktail and over €25 for beach food. It’s nice if you can afford to splurge. We spent €80 on an umbrella with two seats. We spent €70 on a smoothie, 2 coffee, a yogurt bowl and 3 waters.
Nikki B — Google review
The place is nice and the sea is very clear. However, the service and facilities are poor. For this price (we paid 200 euros for 2 people), I was expecting a much better experience. I think this is a lack of attention to small details to make it the place to go (for example some nice music, shampoo in the showers, more friendly staff, towels included, parking included, etc.)
Raya S — Google review
The beach is amazing, the water is Crystal clear BUT parking is 15 euros, no towels , very slow service and no one cleans the table until you leave so we had 10 glasses of water and the food remains on the side table till we left !! Towels is available to rent !!!!!! And they are disgustingly old and all that after paying 180 euros for the umbrella … honestly I will come back but the only reason is the water clarity and nothing els !! What a pity, this place could easily turn into heaven
Mudhaffer A — Google review
Upscale . Entrance fee Eu 35 per person includes umbrella and beach chair. Towels available at extra 10 EU. Food variety available and prices are a bit higher than restaurants. Shallow clear water but cold in the middle of August.
Nagi E — Google review
One of the best beaches in Athens. Prices though have gone massively up the last few years (70-180 euro per set) without any renovation of the sun-beds and umbrella’s the last 17 years. The quality of the umbrella’s and sun-beds are dated and of poor quality with absorbing heat that could easily produce skin burns.
Nikolaos V — Google review
When I looked at the reviews before coming I was scared to be honest ,but after I came and visited the beach its absolutely amazing in everything. I made my reservation online from their site and when I came it was very smooth. Beach is very clean with no rocks which makes it very nice to have a swim and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Something that is a plus for me is that they don’t have loud music which makes you relax and enjoy your day. Absolutely an amazing experience that I would recommend to everyone visiting Athens !

Beach park with sunbeds & umbrellas, a sports complex & restaurants with ocean views.
Vouliagmenis Beach is one of the best beaches you will find in the Athens Riviera. The beach comes equipped with lots of facilities like tennis courts, bistros, toilets and parasols and beds that can be rented for as cheap as €5 per person. The beach is large and consists primarily of sand and not stone, which is all the more enjoyable.
Sam P — Google review
10€ for a sunbed & umbrella ( or under cedar tree if umbrellas are out), beautiful clean free showers, toilets , changing rooms, two gazebos for food and drinks. tennis court basketball court etc just simple, basic & beautiful sea
Gilnar H — Google review
We had some difficulty to find the entrance on Google Maps. There’s a parking if you have a car, 10€/person entrance and you get a sunbed and an umbrella. It’s very clean and not loud. There are some stones on the beach until you reach the water but the water is super clear!! but there are some small fishes that eat dead skin. If you do not like them you have to swim a bit deeper or not go at all (we left because of them) There are also inflatable games for kids and pedalos for people. Recommended 👍
Antonella L — Google review
One of my favourite beaches just on the outskirts of Athens. They charge a small fee to enter but it’s well worth it compared to other similar places near by that are so much more expensive. About $10-$15 Euro for the day entrance from what I recall but beds, umbrellas and other services are included. The beach and water are phenomenal and the grounds are kept very clean as well so I’d highly recommend this beach to anyone near by.
VoudouLounge — Google review
The beach itself is beautiful, a mix of sand and pebble stines, the area cleaned up, water and snacks for a fair price sold, the connection from Athens center good takes only 1h10m, BUT: - we were charged 15 euro per person on sunday (weekdays only 10 Euro/person) for only entry without beds, without umbrella...that is a rip off and not fair...they purposely oversell entry tickets and dont care about visitors. Why not charge a low fee for entry and umbrellas as extra? This is how we know it from Sicily... - staff speaks not a single word English and is even proud of it. We arrived at 1.30pm and a sign was saying "no more umbrellas available" - so I wanted as a first time visitor know if there is a reservation system or we can grab one when people leave it. First there was a lady whoch ran away upon hearing English and called a male colleague. I was expecting now somebody who could answer my question but he just looked at me with a desinterested face and shouted "WHAT?" At me. At this point I gave up and just bought two tickets as gamble because we didnt bring our own umbrella - many young people blasted aggressive hip-hop music with their speakers and the staff did not care at all to ask them to stop it which was a disturbance for everyone around At the end of the day, if you come first in the morning and grab an umbrella+beds before it gets crowded the beach is totally OK but if you come too late you are going to overpay for just an entry - better go to a public beach strip for free
Stefan B — Google review
I had the pleasure of visiting a wonderful spot in Vouliagmeni, right by the sea, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was excellent – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented – and the desserts were just as impressive, the perfect sweet ending to our meal. What made the afternoon even more special was the atmosphere. Around 15:30 on a Sunday, a lively party started, filling the place with music, dancing, and energy. The combination of great food, seaside views, and vibrant entertainment made it a truly unique experience. Highly recommend!
Andri S — Google review
The place is ideal for family and friends to relax. It's tidy, clean, and located in a very beautiful area. The changing rooms and restrooms are also well maintained. Personally, I missed two things. 1. In terms of food, there are basically only sandwiches available. There's no fast food option. 2. Secondly, there's really no marine wildlife here. Just a monotonous, sand-like seabed. If you're looking for enjoyable diving experiences, you won't find them here.

Beautiful, Relaxed, and Worth Every Euro – Vouliagmeni Beach Vouliagmeni Beach is a stunning and well-organized tourist beach that truly has it all. For just €10 per person, you get full access including a comfortable sunbed – and there are plenty. The beach is clean, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the water is absolutely perfect – crystal-clear, calm, and refreshing. It’s the nicer beach in Athens. €15/person during peak season. It’s well-maintained and it has nice cafes, umbrellas and chairs. They also have areas for various kinds of sports. Advice: Get there early as it quickly fills up and gets very busy. Especially during the weekends.
Anders J — Google review
Beautiful crystal clear water, nice beds, great prices at the nearby cafe. We came on a Tuesday at 9am and could still choose from a lot of beds with umbrellas (the entrance fee is 10Eu for adults on weekdays and the beds are first come first serve basis) - at around 11am everything was pretty much taken. Bathrooms were not the best condition but there are people cleaning the premises very frequently. Unfortunately, there were a few trash pieces in the sea. But when coming back to shore I always made sure to pick up the trash which was in reach to throw it out in the bins, I encourage everyone else visiting this lovely beach to do the same :)
Dominyka — Google review
The actual beach-side may be a bit rocky for some, however Vougliameni has its merits. A short 15-20 min drive from downtown Athens entrance fee is 10 Euro for adult 5 euros under 18 years. This beach has beautiful views of the Sardonic Gulf, umbrellas for rent, change rooms and a small snack bar that also serves drinks. STAIN alert: This area is known for its higher salinity compared to the open ocean.
Joseph P — Google review
Really good beach near athens. Its clean and sandy in the sea. You need to arrive early morning just max at 9:30/10:00 to get the sunbeds and umbrellas. During week it costs 10€ to enter, and then you find free sunbeds and you can stay all day there.. weekend is 15€ as i remember. We payed at the entrance as from web was impossible to book. There are showers, toilets, changing cabins. Shops’ prices are like normal supermarkets. They have also really good ice cream.. its quiet beach and no one is bothering you like on free beaches. Main thing is that its clean. The sunbeds are really comfortable. Water is really really clean. Maybe late afternoon can get little bit dirty but early morning was clean and quiet. Highly recommended to spend the day there.
Elisabeth U — Google review
Beautiful, peaceful, and impeccably clean beach. Parasols are available along the shore, and you can also relax on sunbeds set on the grass. Everything is in place for a perfect day: crystal-clear water, a delightful swim, and a serene atmosphere. Adult entrance is €10 on weekdays and €15 on weekends. Enjoy !
Sébastien V — Google review
Lovely beach and park area. You are required to buy tickets before using the facilities. Everything from sunbed, umbrella, garden area, changing rooms, shower and toilets are well maintained. There are few options in terms of food so getting your snacks will be favourable. Drinks, coffee is available so we had a great time.
Manjari J — Google review
Crystal clear water, warm and not wavy. 10€ per person in weekdays for entrance and you can have umbrella and sunbeds for free. Bring your own food because the cafe offers you toast, burger, and some snacks. There isn't french fries. They have ice cream, beer, and some coctails like margharita. It is safe. We went there around 11am in 1st of Sept and we could find free sunbeds on the sand.

Kavouri Beach is a hidden gem that promises a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. With its crystal-clear waters and soft sandy shores, it's an ideal spot for those looking to unwind. The beach features ample sunbeds and umbrellas, ensuring comfort while you soak up the sun. Visitors can enjoy nearby cafes offering refreshments at reasonable prices compared to central Athens. The area is adorned with lush trees providing shade, making it perfect for relaxation without feeling overcrowded.
If you visit Athens, don't skip swimming in the Aegean sea. Kavouri beach is a perfect place for that, beautiful views of the sea, hills and near small town, in the distance you can see the silhouette of Athens.

Friendly Service. Fair Prices. In April we paid no entry fee and just had to consume 10€ per sunbed. Other beach Clubs were still Closed in April, so They could have taken more Money but didn‘t. Beer, Chips and lemonades were good. Beach was very clean and I saw cleaners checking. Showers and beach umbrellas were not available but I was happy that they were Open nd Not Closed as the other Beach Clubs. The sea was very clean and cold.
Michael K — Google review
Very expensive. You'd be better off laying your towel on the beach which is very clean and pleasant. I asked for the menu and never got it so I never ordered either. And was surprised to see that the waiter had installed people on the sunbed I paid for (for the whole day, mind you) when I had left to the bathroom with my stuff to change. Cash grabbing place, overpriced. Not very enjoyable, as you end up with neighbors so close to you, you can't really relax. I preferred to leave and enjoy my time somewhere else.
Laure M — Google review
In the past, the beach bar was pleasant. We had a great student waitress who has been working there for three years. This year, however, we had to pay for the same orders different prices. No receipts from the bar are provided any longer at the beach. That's probably why this year, the people barely order something. Such a shame.
