Ski & Snowboard Areas
Blue Mountain Ski Resort in Ontario is a premier destination for outdoor adventure and family fun. The resort offers a wide range of activities, from thrilling zip lining and caving to more leisurely pursuits like golfing and spa services. Visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of Wasaga Beach, the lift-accessed mountain bike park, and sections of the Bruce Trail.
We had a great time at Blue Mountain Resort and the Village Suites. The resort was not crowded, which made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The weather was perfect during our visit, and there were many fun activities for everyone. From the scenic gondola ride to mini putting and the activity center, everything was organized and easy to access. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the pool was decent as well.

Our stay at Blue Mountain Resort and the Village Suites was absolutely delightful! The resort was pleasantly uncrowded, allowing us to unwind and enjoy our time. The weather was ideal, and there were plenty of exciting activities for all ages. We appreciated how well-organized everything was, from the scenic gondola ride to the mini golf and activity centre, buying the day pass was worth it as all the activities are covered under it. We had so much fun. The staff were warm and welcoming.

Blue Mountain... what can be said. The village alone is reason enough to go. I love just to wander the vaguly theme park-esq esthetic of it all, popping into various shops and pubs. It's like if Ikea were a real place; everone here is just so happy to be here. There's a whole bunch of outdoor activities, or you can get drunk. Those are your two options, BUT within those options, there is so much variety. Great in the winter for all the skiing and snowboarding. Fine in the other 3 seasons for golf and climbing a thing. Check it out.

🏔️ Iconic, beautiful, and blue sky's ahead. 🔵 The villege Square is beautiful and quaint. Felt so much like in a movie. The activities at fun yet still very safe. You'll hear screams... Of excitement. ⛰️ Majestic views of the hills and the nature. Beautiful walking trails and everyone was so friendly. 👨🏻‍🍳 The food here was so flavorful and mouthwatering. Beautiful on the inside, with friendly service and outside with how they decorated. 🅿️ We had no problem finding parking. However the place was difficult, but the ride was beautiful and majestic.

Great VIBESSS !! Best SKII RESORTSSS AND SKIING LOCATION. Don’t forget to try out the poutine when you enter the village . There’s tons of food options that’s expensive however you need to pay the price for this tourist attraction. Plenty of resorts that gets booked way earlier for Christmas and new year so book your spot earlier. The village has brought in new Geodome type attractions where you can book a dinner table inside the dome which i found very cool. They open by Dec 11 , 2025 and it should be a showstopper of the village with great music and food. take your family along get a poutine roam around , rent some ski equipments and visit the mountain top to explore some cool spots there .
Roshan S — Google review
I went a few years ago sadly i didnt take alot of photos but holy blue Mountain in the summer is honestly incredible! The Village atmosphere is so lively with amazing dining patios and music. We absolutely loved the Ridge Runner mountain coaster. it was such a thrill winding through the trees! Taking the open-air gondola up offered stunning views of Georgian Bay that you just don't get in winter. Hiking the trails was a workout but totally worth it. It is the perfect spot for a summer getaway, mixing adventure with relaxation. Definitely not just for skiing! Now I cant wait to go back and experience it in the winter!
Andrew — Google review
Our family had an amazing experience at Blue mountain on the weekend. The views were great. It was very busy with the Spartan race but that was fine, we went out for dinner and the restaurant seemed to be able to handle the amount of people there. There were lots of great activities to do, like the gondola ride, Agora light show, coaster and lots of window shopping And hiking around. The only downfall was that it was a little bit expensive but everything is expensive these days

We recently returned from a night away staying at the Snowbridge Resort. The only thing we enjoyed with our stay was the comfort of the bed. Otherwise, we found that the condo was very poorly maintained for the price you pay. Holes and gouges in the walls throughout and in the kitchen cabinetry. Both bathroom mirrors all had rotting frames (likely from moisture) but should be replaced. I wish this review would allow pictures to be added. Some light bulbs were burnt out and multiple lamps (bedside table and livingroom) were just unplugged. Crumbs were on the couch, hair and black mold in the bathtub, food crumbs still in the fridge. Very poor quality control. Someone set the alarm, so it woke us up at 5am. This wasn't a bedside clock but just purely an alarm for waking. We were given the incorrect wifi password. The battery went dead on our front door, so our key card wouldn't work and we were unable get into our unit at 7:30pm and had to wait outside for maintenance to show. When the maintenance guy finally showed up, he wasn't apologetic, seemed irritated, and made a comment to make us feel like we just didn't know how to get into the unit. In future, we would not return! We will instead book an AirBnB, as those home owners are way more on top of ensuring the place is well maintained.

Additionally, guests can enjoy hot tubs with scenic views and an indoor splash pad. Whether you prefer outdoor adventures or staying cozy indoors, Plunge! has something for everyone.
I've heard this place can get crazy busy. We went in the evening and were able to get right in. The facilities are nice enough. Lots of lockers. I wish there were more change stalls, but that's just a personal preference. The pools are neat, with lots of activities to suit everyone. The hot tubs are actually hot, and heavenly! Staff are pleasant and plenty of lifeguards spread around. The water quality was... questionable. I get that it was the end of a long day, and probably a busy week. But it was a little murky. Not enough to stop me from swimming, but the whole pool looked like it could use a scrub, especially the walls of the plunge pool. Again, I know it's difficult to keep such a busy place sparkling.
A H — Google review
First experience as we arrived was positive. The lady who greeted was nice. We had play all day passes. It was an easy start. I have to say though, it was quite unorganized after that. You’re not supposed to wear shoes into the change rooms but the hall where you leave shoes is very small and in the way for hallway traffic. There was no where to sit to take shoes off and for when you’re putting shoes back on. The family change room was clean. You have to pay $5 for a lock. I think the lockers should be updated to larger lockers and make them like the ski rental lockers, pay by debit. Pool was clean but very crowded. Otherwise, kids had a very positive experience.
Lindsey M — Google review
One Star – Extremely Disappointing and Unsafe Experience. Visited on opening day expecting a clean and enjoyable experience, but it was anything but. The pools were visibly dirty right from the start, and both the deep-end pool and outdoor hot tub were closed with no explanation. You’d think these would be ready and in top condition for the first day of operation. The most disturbing part of the visit was discovering a dead rat in the pool while I was there with my 5-year-old child. We nearly stepped on it. It’s absolutely baffling how this wasn’t noticed and dealt with before opening. Staff casually removed it with a net while swimmers – including toddlers – were still in the pool. No one was asked to leave, and no visible steps were taken to disinfect the water. Completely unacceptable, both from a hygiene and safety standpoint. Definitely not worth the ticket price or the trip. Would not recommend and will not be returning.
Evelyn N — Google review
It was a good experience. I took my 3 children with me. It was a good day. We did the all-day pass, and it was worth it. We brought a cooler with lunches and snacks. When my kids needed a break, we went back to the truck to eat and rest. I wish the other pool was open, but my kids enjoyed it anyway.
Sarah-May P — Google review
Don’t bother with the vending machines at Plunge. It will eat your $5,$10,$20 bills. Good luck getting your money back. Staff knows full well and won’t warn you. Save your cash and don’t use the vending machine. Staff should put up a sign. Shame.
Dan C — Google review
The Plunge was overall a good experience for my toddlers and me. It was a bit crowded, but that was expected since it was midday and very hot. The water inside the building was cold, understandably, while the outdoor pool was warmer. However, the water wasn’t very clean, with noticeable tree particles and hair floating around. Despite that, my girls really enjoyed their time at the splash pad and the hot tub. It is quite pricey. When we arrived, there were no lockers available. The change rooms are small, and renting a locker costs $5.00. If you need a towel, it’s an additional $1.00. Children aged 3 and up are charged to use the pool, and there’s also a $10.00 fee just to be a spectator. On the board at front desk, they put that you can only stay for a maximum of 2 hours, but I am not sure how they are tracking people's stay. There are two lifeguards at the pool and an attendant at the slide, which was reassuring.
Vithucha V — Google review
This was definitely a great pool to experience water fun after being in the sun. The pool had different temperatures inside and outside. The heated pool was large, hot and relaxing as well. There was more than plenty of seating for everyone during off peak hours. Only gripe is the main attraction "The Plunge" rope is restricted to the seperate deep end pool, which everyone must take a swim test to use, and children that must stay within arms reach require the parent to take it as well. Fair, but does suck for the smaller children that come specifically for that. Luckily, there is a kiddie playground(0-6) with a water slide on the inside, a dump bucket, and basketball nets beside a bigger slide on the outside.
Mike J — Google review
We visited the mountain area during Us Thanksgiving took our to-year-old nephew here. It was quiet, not very many people. They have a little indoor pool that has a kids area to play in with a small slide and they have a medium size slide outside. That's the kids still can go out with you and they have a plunge pool that you have to swim. Show them you can swim to go in it. It is deep so you can swing and a rope over pool and jump in. The water was warm enough. There was also a hot tub that was really warm thing. I say it's kind of expensive for what you're getting but the staff was very nice. It was very clean. Had a locker room. What you can change. You can rent towels if you need them. Bring them because they charge you for towel

Nestled along the stunning southern shores of Georgian Bay, Craigleith Provincial Park is a hidden gem that beckons outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Established in 1967, this charming park spans over 65 hectares and features unique flat limestone shelves that extend into the crystal-clear waters of the bay. The shoreline is not only picturesque but also rich in history, with fractured plates of shale revealing fossils dating back an astonishing 450 million years.
I recently spent a weekend at Craigleith Provincial Park, and it was an excellent getaway! The park is beautifully located right on the shore of Georgian Bay, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. I loved exploring the unique shale rock formations along the shoreline—perfect for a bit of adventure and some great photos. The campground was clean and well-maintained, with plenty of sites to choose from. Some spots were closer to the highway and a bit noisy, but overall it was very comfortable, especially with access to showers and flush toilets. Water activities like kayaking and paddleboarding on the calm bay were a highlight of my trip. I also enjoyed learning about the local history, especially the remnants of the old shale oil works and the story of the Mary Ward shipwreck. Plus, being close to Blue Mountain and the nearby towns made it easy to explore more of the area. All in all, Craigleith Provincial Park is a perfect spot for a nature-filled weekend—whether you’re into camping, hiking, or just relaxing by the water. I’d definitely visit again!
Sidaqpreet K — Google review
The provincial park is a perfect camping spot with lots of lakeshore camping sites. The lakeshore facing camping sites makes it a worthy one. The place does not have hiking trails but you can stay over there and explore -Collingwood, Nottawasaga bluffs and blue mountain area. If you are cycling enthusiast, Georgian trail might interest you. We camped there for 2 nights and the weather was not in favor of us this time. Never the less, we enjoyed a the scenic lake view. Best seasons to visit is obviously summer months and like any other camping sites, it gets cold and chilly during non summer seasons. For non summer months, gear up with good winter clothing. Provincial park has small kids playground and there pet friendly areas. Also, lakeshore beach is a rocky one and does not have sand beach. The staff at the camp office are very friendly and supportive.
Pruthvi N — Google review
Beautiful camping sites with gorgeous shoreline and access to the water. They offer a lot of interactive family friend activities like bird spotting and plant identification. My only complaint is the wood they sell is no good. The restrooms and shower are are well-kept which is a big deal for me.
Mel C — Google review
Positive right on Georgian bay. Rock shore line for swimming . Easy access to rail trails for biking and hiking. Negatives very small campsites, no privacy. Literally right on Hwy 26. The traffic starts at 5:00 am and continues nonstop until the night. It is indeed noisy here.
Jim W — Google review
Craigleith Provincial Park, located on the shores of Georgian Bay between Collingwood and Thornbury, offers a mixed bag of experiences for campers and day-trippers. Reviews of Craigleith Provincial Park often highlight the following: * Beautiful Waterfront: The park boasts approximately 1.5 km of unique shale shoreline, offering clear, clean water perfect for swimming (with water shoes recommended due to slippery algae) and paddling. It's also a great spot for fossil hunting and offers potential for Northern Lights viewing due to its north-facing exposure. * Convenient Location: Situated at the base of Blue Mountain, it's an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area, including the Bruce Trail, Georgian Trail, and Blue Mountain Village. You can even use your park permit to gain free access to Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. * Facilities: The park has 155 campsites (both electrical and non-electrical) across four campgrounds. There are four comfort stations with flush toilets, two of which offer showers, and one with laundry facilities. A trailer dump and water fill station are also available. * Privacy and Noise Concerns: A recurring theme in reviews is the lack of privacy on many campsites, which are often described as small and crowded. The park's proximity to Highway 26 means significant road noise can be an issue, especially for sites closer to the highway. * Site Variety: Areas A and B are generally suitable for tents, while Areas C and D are more geared towards trailers and RVs, with Area D offering water hookups on most electrical sites. Some sites are "radio-free" for a quieter experience. * Accessibility: While some barrier-free sites exist with cement platforms, general accessibility to paths, picnic shelters, and the beach can be limited for wheelchair users. * According to Ontario Parks regulations, one vehicle permit is included with each campsite reservation. Additional vehicles require an extra permit and an overnight fee (currently around $18.00 per additional vehicle). While the policy generally allows a maximum of three vehicles per campsite, it's important to note: * Space is a factor: Even if allowed by policy, some sites at Craigleith are described as small and crowded, with vehicles sometimes needing to be partly in the narrow lanes. * Designated parking: Additional vehicles may need to be parked in a separate designated parking area away from your campsite if there isn't enough space on the site itself. Recommendation: While Craigleith offers a fantastic location and access to Georgian Bay, if privacy and quiet are high priorities, you might find some sites challenging. It is always best to check the specific campsite details when booking and to confirm the most up-to-date vehicle policy directly with Craigleith Provincial Park or Ontario Parks, especially if you plan to bring more than one vehicle. This will ensure you have accurate information for your specific reservation and avoid any surprises upon arrival.

My friend applied for a day pass online to this park which was surprisingly free! We drove here after spending some time at Blue Mountain Village. It was only about 10 minutes away. The clear water views were gorgeous ... but this was not the kind of beach where you could spread out a towel and lie down in the sun. The ground was shale and rocky ... great for skipping stones!! Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy listening to the calming sound of the waves! We did not spend a lot of time here, but it was a beautiful stop to take some pictures! The lake was such a pretty colour with various shades of blue and green and there were also some lovely plants and trees! The Park Ranger we spoke to there was so friendly and helpful! The camping spots seemed a little cramped and there were no real hiking trails right in the park. Still, a wonderful place to visit! 😊👍💗
Lorna S — Google review
Beautiful!! Was right on the water although the big massive lilac bush blocked our view - it was only a few steps to the path! Site 155 was ok - a little too much rocks for tent - could maybe fit 2 tents - we got 1 big tent and a gazebo and one truck on the site; our electric site wasn’t working - no refund offered but paid for electricity- no real spot for dogs to run off leash - the rock beach a little slipper and dangerous if they are runners. Great for those who want to sit by the water or fish but not go in.
Peng L — Google review
Very cramped and crowded. Sites have little to no privacy and a lot of campfire stations are only ten feet or so from the next site's. The staff member I encountered while checking in was apathetic and almost rude. We only stayed two nights, but couldn't go to sleep until 11pm the first night due to someone loudly playing a guitar less than 15 feet away from our tent. This was in the radio free zone, which we booked to avoid loud noises in the late evening, but that didn't seem to matter. It was very loud out entire stay. However, the campground does back onto The Georgian Bay where there are places to swim and it is lovely there. Lots of fascinating fossils to look at in the rock and the occasional picnic table to sit at. The waterfront is 100% rock though and slippery, so I would suggest bringing water shoes if you are planning on taking a swim. I stayed there for the convenience and cheap price of $40 per night as opposed to the $300 a night at a hotel and wasn't expecting much. Certainly a great place to be if you are just looking for somewhere to lay your head while you explore the Blue Mountains and Collingwood area. I would suggest checking out the 'Scenic Caves Nature Adventures' for a great hiking experience. So don't come here to experience the great outdoors or have fantastic sleeps, because you will leave disappointed and very tired.

The scenery here is absolutely spectacular - such a beautiful spot to enjoy an afternoon. We sampled the classic wine tasting flight and especially loved the sparkling rosé, which we ended up taking home. The charcuterie board was stunning, with a great mix of local cheeses and meats that paired well with the wines. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, which made the experience even better.

Beautiful scenery… poor service and bad planning. No welcome, several visitors waiting to be seated but no one coming to greet us, had to walk up to the cash. We said we are here for one glass and asked for an outside table but we were told they were all reserved. Opted for the ADK chairs in the sun with a view of bushes ! They have a beautiful lawn with garden, chairs could have been installed there in the shape. We left after our drink and patio was half empty. See pic! Oh, and we paid 45$ for 2 small glasses.

We had an amazing time! We chose the Deluxe Tasting, which included a blind tasting of six wine samples paired with a delicious charcuterie board. Chris provided exceptional service, thank you so much for making our visit both memorable and fun! We chose to sit outside. It was beautiful.

Had the best experience at wine tasting. This place sits on hill with a great view. The location, wines options and the environment is so soothing. The server was helpful and welcoming and amazing service. We went in during afternoon. We tried the Experiment and Red wine flight. They served us crackers too. We ended up buying the spicy wine. Cnt wait to return back.

We loved the drive and scenery out here. There's a small outdoor dining area. Only one section (4 seats?) has quite lovely views over the vineyards and valley. Highly recommended to book in advance for that spot. Recommend to book in advance for other tables. The wines were OK, but still not quite at the quality one can buy much cheaper at LCBO. We came as a party of four and ordered one cheese/meat platter (as we had already eaten). Got two platters, because "one platter is designed for 2 people". Still, we only ordered and wanted one and then felt uncomfortable to send the other back. Please don't serve what wasn't expressly ordered. A bit stingy on the cheese/meat and mostly "fillers" like fruit, etc.

Wow! What a beautiful setting! I can't say enough about the beautiful views and relaxing atmosphere, not to mention the great wines and wonderful pairing with the charcuterie plate. We came a little late in the day (4:30), so we had just enough time to enjoy a couple of flights and the charcuterie plate, as well as taking a couple of quick selfies before closing. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

Had a surprise milestone birthday here for my dad and couldn’t be happier with it! Mike and his team were amazing, they went above and beyond to help create a memorable experience. We had a big group of almost 20 people, and from the initial planning stages to the day of the event, Mike and his team were so great at answering questions, presenting options, and offering flexibility. They were so welcoming to our group (which included a bunch of kids) and made sure to help with the surprise, and even graciously took a group photo for us at the end. Huge thanks to Roost for making the process seamless, and for making it a day to remember!

Had such a great time at The Roost Wine Company! The tasting flight was incredible a perfect mix of reds and rosé, each one with its own unique flavor and character. The Terrior Rosé was crisp and refreshing, and the Barn Red had such a smooth, rich finish. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, with beautiful presentation and friendly staff who clearly love what they do. A must-visit spot for wine lovers can’t wait to come back for another tasting!

Northwinds Beach, located in the Blue Mountains Collingwood area, is a popular destination known for its crystal-clear waters and well-protected shoreline. The beach offers shady areas, grassy spots, and clean facilities including bathrooms. While the sand can be rocky at the water's edge, it remains a great spot for families to enjoy picnics and kids to play both in the sand and water. Visitors also appreciate the opportunity to witness stunning sunsets over the lake from this picturesque location.
Really nice sandy beach just outside of Collingwood. Not a lot of parking so suggest you arrive early in the summer months The day I went as the name suggested the winds were pretty strong from the north making it feels slightly cooler, but amazing waves and was lucky to catch a rainbow

Northwinds Beach features crystal-clear water and is somewhat secluded. It's a lovely little beach that offers amazing views of Georgian Bay. With its limited access, it's a perfect spot to take a break on the highway, ideal for a picnic and a leisurely walk by the water. The beach is all sand, free of seaweed, with open waters—just a stunning place to swim and enjoy a meal outdoors. I really had a great time during my brief but unforgettable visit.

Clear waters, the beach patrol is doing her job. Kudos to her. Tents are not allowed on the beach. Such a nice place to bring your kiddos. I have given it 5 stars originally, however, i was reminded on the parking fee. $10/hr is too expensive.

A wonderful, scenic Georgian Bay beach, water surprisingly warm, and both sand and a long deep grassy verge on which to set up. Minutes from Blue Mountain Village. There’s not much in the way of concessions, though we did have an ice cream truck pull in (woohoo!), though there are clean washrooms. A long sandy shallow slope (with some minor, smoothed out rocks), and big sandy area make for hours of fun for the kids. Parking can be a little tight, though the turnover is fairly quick - so if you can’t find a spot, just give it a few minutes - and the parking is not cheap! $10/hr as of August 2022. The location and quality of the beach make it well worth the cost, though. Excellent all around.

If you're looking for a place to see the fine line between lake and sky during sunset, then I recommend this place. I so love the rocks where you can step on it, although it's a bit slippery, so be careful. Also, you can't really see the sunset here but you can have a glimpse of it as it disappear from behind the trees. As for the water, it is really clear and cold. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely go back.

Nice sand. Kids played in the sand and in the water. The beach is clean and well maintained. The picnic was a great success! I recently went to Northwinds Beach with two families for a picnic. It was a great experience overall. The view was amazing and the sand was soft and inviting. The beach was well maintained and clean. The kids had a great time playing in the sand and in the water. We had a pot luck lunch which was a great success. All in all, it was a great day and I would highly recommend Northwinds Beach for your next picnic.

Georgian Hills Vineyards is a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts, offering seasonal tours and a wide selection of fine wines in a picturesque setting. The winery takes pride in producing beautiful and unique wines that thrive in the cool climate of Georgian Bay. Visitors can indulge in tastings of popular varieties like Riesling and Pinot Noir, as well as sweet winter wines and a local sparkling pear wine at the year-round tasting room.
We popped into this winery on the way to Blue Mountain and it was a great choice! The char board was delicious and the wine was all very good. We did 3 different flights between 2 of us and ended up leaving with a bottle of almost everything that we tasted. Highly recommend and we will be back if we return to the area!

Nice view and pleasant countryside and very friendly service. Somewhat drinkable wines but the makers still need many years practice to bring them up to quality. There are better wines at LCBO for a much cheaper price. The meat/cheese platter was a bit disappointing, probably because it didn't even come with some crackers or bread. The washrooms, while clean, are quite elderly-unfriendly and the men's toilet stinks horribly.

Great spot for lunch with a cider and wine flight! Lots of outdoor seating, great service, and light bites that they paired with the drinks. Unfortunately we didn't find a wine that was to our liking . They did have a few ciders that were good though.

I reached out to Georgian Hills directly through the email on their website to inquire about a wine tasting/pairing experience for my mom. Robert Ketchin, the owner, personally took my request and designed an intimate experience just for the two of us. He began by taking us on a walk-around tour of the vineyard, inviting us to taste grapes straight off the vine. Along the way, he explained the harvesting and juicing process in detail and showed us all the machinery involved, including the destemmer and wine press. He also highlighted the differences between white and red wine fermentation and the unique challenges of growing grapes in Ontario’s short season compared to warmer climates. After the tour, we returned inside to a private tasting room, where a beautiful, thoughtfully curated charcuterie platter was delivered to us. Robert guided us through pairing each food item with specific wines and even explained how the shape of the glass can affect the tasting experience. It was truly an unforgettable experience. My mom was so happy — not only with the incredible wines, but also with Robert’s expertise and how comfortable he made us feel. A huge thank you to Robert and the Georgian Hills staff for making the day so special — I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in a high-quality wine tasting experience.

Went during the big cheese competition and the grilled cheese was delicious, keep an eye out for the competition to try it. We had the cider flight and they were all good but none of them stood out as better than the rest. The patio is very nice in the spring beside the fire pit, it's a great atmosphere, would recommend.

Oct 11 I brought a friend visiting from out of town to Georgian Hills, as she and I have travelled the world visiting wineries together and I thought it would be fun to take her to one close to my home. I did not have a reservation, but called 20 minutes before arriving and was told there would likely be no problem accommodating us. When we arrived, the server that greeted us (not wearing a name tag) at the door informed me it would be about 10 minutes before anyone could get to us, as they were busy. Both my friend and I have worked in the service industry for decades and had absolutely no problem with waiting. After 20 minutes, we had watched the same server seat and great multiple other new tables, and get them drinks, but no one had acknowledged us. At 25 minutes I got up and asked for a menu, and was told by that same server that there were none available, until she found one on the bar. After 35 minutes my friend attempted to get a server to come over to us, but was ignored by most and ended up speaking to the man behind the bar on the patio that said he would send someone over. After 45 minutes Chris came over to serve us. I will say, Chris was wonderful. She did appear to take our legitimate concerns seriously and had drinks out to us rather quickly. She was kind, professional and apologetic. She is the reason the rating is not 0 stars. We watched 6+ tables that came in after us eat, pay and leave before we even had our food. We were given a 10% discount on our bill, which equated to $9. While I appreciate it was a gesture, it's a bit of a joke considering we waited for 45 minutes to be acknowledged by the serving staff. I understand it was a beautiful day and it may have been busier than anticipated, but the situation was avoidable.

The Golf Club at Lora Bay is a meticulously designed golf course shaped by the captivating forested shoreline of the stunning Georgian Bay. Situated in BruceGreySimcoe, this beautiful course has undergone significant improvement over the years, presenting itself in exceptional shape. Notably, there are an impressive 5-6 holes on this course that stand out for their sheer beauty and appeal: numbers 1, 2, 9, 15, and 16 emerge as favorites among players.
Beautiful course. I have played here years before and the course is in much better shape now. There is about 5-6 stunning holes on this course: numbers 1, 2, 9, 15 and 16 were my favourites. My only criticism, although not environmentally friendly, would be that you cut down the trees lining the 17th and 18th holes so that you can see Georgian Bay. Also, the course is very expensive. I would play again
Ryan D — Google review
With a course under renovation, I didn’t feel a green fee of $180 was justified. Many bunkers unattended, weeds and no sand. Many bunkers being repaired, some of the bunkers have been removed and sodded over, which hasn’t taken yet! At least let me know of the work being done and I can make a better decision on whether I want to spend that much on the course. Great layout, challenging, beautiful views. Tees and greens in great condition. Lunch!! $57 for 2 sandwiches, 1 wrap and 2 bottles of water!! Come on! It will be a long time before I return
Rob P — Google review
I was excited to play Lora Bay and it was a major disappointment for what you pay and what you actually receive . The clubhouse is very nice and it goes downhill once you get on the course. The pace of play was slow and we waited every shot and was told there were Marshall’s out but we never saw one. It was close to 40 degrees out and there are no ice boxes on the carts and no water available on the course. The cart girl never was seen until Hole 12 and we only saw her that once. At 220 $ a round and an extremely hot day one cooler with water would have be appropriate. The course conditions were only so so. The rough was excessive and it just looked untrimmed around the fairways with lots of weeds and yellow grass. The holes other then 8 and 18 are unforgettable. The greens had areas of brown grown that was at a different speed then the green grass so hard to judge the speeds I would come back but only at a price point that was more in line with the experience. It would be okay at around 100 to 125 but 220 is ridiculous

Played Lora Bay for my birthday, and unfortunately, it was a big letdown. We had high hopes going in, especially after playing Cobble Beach the previous evening—which completely blew us away. Given that Lora Bay was even more expensive (despite us playing twilight at Cobble), we expected something special. It wasn’t. Right from the start, things felt off. We arrived about 50 minutes before our tee time, only to be questioned by the marshal about why we were so early. He told us we couldn’t access the practice area until 30 minutes before our tee time, which felt unreasonable. Once we got on the course, the pace of play was brutal. By the second hole, we were already backed up—waiting 10 to 15 minutes for every shot. We contacted the pro shop multiple times, and it wasn’t until holes 5 or 6 that anything was done. Even then, the waiting continued the entire round. The course itself? Honestly, nothing to write home about. Aside from two somewhat memorable holes—a downhill par 3 and hole 18—the layout is mostly forgettable. Tree-lined fairways with no real views or character. For $220 a round, I expected pristine conditions, but instead, there was yellow grass everywhere, clippings all over the place, and just an overall lack of polish. The only bright spot was the greens—they were in good shape and rolled nicely. I wouldn’t pay more than $100 to play here. Cobble Beach is far superior in every way. I won’t be coming back, and I can’t recommend it to others—unless you’re okay with waiting forever in the sun and paying $220 to stare at trees. What a great view from one of tee boxes for 220$.

Pros: - Nice course layout, no bad holes - Great views Cons: - wet course, cart paths only - pressure to keep pace of play with cart path only - no cart service on front nine (saw them 3x on the back nine). - temporary green on one hole - no discounts for large group

It's a metal walkway to the dam. It has a man made ladder for fish to pass. It's hit or miss on whether the fish will actually be there. It's a pretty place for a quick stop.

Fun to watch the fish swim through the fishway and dodge all the fishermen in the river. Got to come at the right time of year though.
Taylor G — Google review
The Thornbury Fishway is a passive fishway that consists of an open channel with a relatively natural appearance that allows for excellent fish viewing opportunities. Rainbow Trout and Chinook Salmon are readily visible as they swim or jump over each of the steps and pass up through the pools of the main portion of the fishway. The fishway retains the capability for fish capture, sampling and automatic counting to help monitor the health of fish populations. While allowing better fish passage, the fishway has been designed to exclude lamprey from entering the Beaver River watershed.

Nestled in the heart of Ontario, Pretty River Valley Provincial Park is a nature lover's paradise that boasts an impressive variety of flora and stunning geological features. This park is home to over 400 species of vascular plants and showcases one of the highest points along the Niagara Escarpment. Adventurous hikers can explore its well-marked trails, including the renowned Bruce Trail and Pretty River Valley Side Trail, which offer both scenic views and challenging terrain.
This was our first hike of the New Year's. We took the switchback trail up the mountain and rejoined to the main trail. The trees were snow covered and looked magical. We hiked for 3 and 1/2 hours, but there are many more trails to explore there.

Pretty River Valley Provincial Park - For photographers and those who would feel like that they have seen everything that Ontario has to offer, this is the place for you! During the brightest time of day, it still feels like it is at the break of dawn inside the park covered in trees, and during sunset, the mood of the forest sets you up to reenact many of your horror movies where anybody gets chased down through the woods. It really gives the vibe of "Bambi: The Reckoning"

Susan W — Google review
I am an experienced traveller/hiker but the entrance to parking at the trail head is difficult to find via Google Maps and cell signal is weak/non existent in most areas. Pretty River and Bruce Trail Loop trail (plus 3.4 km Side Trail loop) I was on was only well marked for the first kilometre or so after which the trail "blazes" (trail markers) become less frequent and trail is more difficult to follow, especially near the Pretty River (e.g. where to cross the river; no trail blazes on the other side of the river), and it is not obvious where to walk along Pretty River Road. The longer trails need work to make it easier to follow. Hiking at this park may be good for locals who have been there a number of times and have "figured it out" over their multiple visits but is not as suitable for first time hikers, esp. those wanting longer hikes. I also suspect that this area was built for snowmobilers vs. for hikers. The Pretty River Valley Provincial Park has lots of hiking potential but where to park signage, trail head starting points, with indicators in Google Maps, and trail makers need to be added throughout the trails to make it more enjoyable to visit.
Eric M — Google review
Beautiful hike! The white markings for the main trail are very clear. The blue markings for the side trail can be a bit confusing at times and far in between. But overall gorgeous. The entrance is a bit far from the parking lot and you have to walk on the road to get to the entrance

Simply transporting. What a beautiful spot to hike, 20 minute drive from Blue Mountain. It’s a little hard to find from the road, but once you discover the trail that runs along the stream, you’re transported into a beautiful spot, filled with trees and the sounds of running water. Keep walking as far as you can. Each turn is more beautiful than the last. When we were there it was icy, but with crampons, no problem. Without proper footwear, you won’t get far in the ice. There’s a parking lot about a 5 minute walk from the “entrance”. Or park in the side of the road with the other cars. 🌟 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Bruce Trail passes right through this park. There are many side trails in addition to the main White Trail. I find the Blue Trail is better the main White trail. Climb up and you will be rewarded with stunning views. Many wet and muddy spots, so make sure you wear appropriate shoes and carry a hiking stick. There is a couple of beautiful ponds within the park to be discovered. We had a great time on Sunday, October 17, 2021

I attended the museum yesterday with my partner. During our visit we learned a lot of where the area we grew up in. Him living in Durham Rd B and both of us attending grey highlands. The ladies working at the museum were very kind and informative. Guiding us to the path and providing pamphlets, a map and some keep sakes. I’m incredibly great full to have looked through all the different artifacts and memorabilia. Only 5 dollars!

This is a great place for local history as much as Black history in the Great Lakes. Caroline and Sylvia have taken on a mammoth task with the help of other volunteers. The sheer number of artifacts they have amassed tells the story of struggle and success for settlement of Ontario. Self guided tour of the various pavilions at a more than reasonable rate! A little way off the main highway, but an absolute necessity for interest!

We absolutely loved visiting the Loft Gallery today while walking around Thornbury. The gallery is simply stunning, warm and inviting! The people working were so lovely to talk to and so patient with our kids, who were excited to run around and look at everything. We knew we would live this place when we saw the industrial size bag of dog treats behind the desk that they give out to their doggy friends who visit the gallery! My kids were excited to see two artists creating some beautiful paintings, who both took the time to tell them about different tools and techniques they use for their paintings. Everyone was so lovely and we will absolutely return again on our next journey here!

The kids notable favourites were the cedar maze and mini putt. I am a huge fan of the cute animals and I liked apple picking. It was hours of entertainment and we will go again 100%. They have a little shop with locally made products and they have a BBQ on Saturdays at lunch which was great!

We stopped on our road trip through Thornbury after seeing the post for chili dogs and apple fritters. It was our first visit and it’s a cute farm, with activities and animals for kids of all ages to enjoy. A nice farm shop with lots of items on offer. Unfortunately, our lunch of the chili dogs and fritters were a little disappointing, as they did not measure up to the images that were promoted and what brought us in. The watery chili sparingly topping the dog made the bun soggy fast. The toppings of sour cream and green onions were also in short supply. The fitters were tasty but they should be laid out on a wire rack to drain off the excess oil after deep frying. 😊 The young lady taking orders was my biggest complaint. She was too busy on her phone to greet us and we had to wait for her to finish her text before she asked what we wanted to order. No greeting, no smile, no engagement! We sat and ate our meal and I watched her behave this way with all the customers; not a good example of customer service at what’s promoted as a fun friendly family farm. It was a beautiful day weather wise, perhaps she was not happy about being stuck working and not out with the friends she was texting with. The other staff we engaged with were friendly and engaging and welcoming. If you have young kids, do visit if only to see the 🐇 🐖 🐐 and 🦆

It’s a cute farm and nice staff with some animals. We drove an hour away to pick apples as they advertised they had plenty for picking during their fall festival. We paid $35 to pick a large bag of apples and there were no signs saying they had very little apples on the trees. Had I known this, we would not have come. We could buy a small bag of apples at a local fruit stand. I felt so bad as many families were showing up to the farm to pick apples and all very frustrated nothing left to pick lol. Anyway best to close the U pick apples or at least let the customers know it’s slim pickings.

I absolutely love this place! I have a 1.5yo and a 4yo and they could have stayed all day, they were so happy. It’s really family friendly and they’ve set up SO many activities - mini golf, corn hole, a cedar maze, a rope maze, obstacle course, crafting area, and so much more! The animals are fun to see and my son even got to ride in a tractor to dump a pile of wood chips into the pig pen. He hasn’t stopped talking about it since. We weren’t able to U-pick because they said their crop wasn’t great this year so they had to close the U-pick - too bad but there was no shortage of other things to do and we bought a basket of apples to take home and enjoy. Perfect place to entertain the kids on the weekend!

Love stopping in when I'm in the area. The apple cider is the best around and the pepperettes are a great snack. Also get my goat milk soap from here. The goats always put a smile on my face.

Beautiful property, but disappointing experience We stopped in after seeing Farmer’s Pantry on social media — the chili dogs and apple fritters looked amazing online but didn’t live up to the hype. We ordered two chili dogs and fritters (~$30). The fritters tasted like old oil, and food handling was concerning — staff used bare hands for toppings after handling cash and a phone. The orchard is beautiful and the Honeycrisp apples were incredible, but the animal enclosures felt cramped and outdated. Lovely spot with potential, but food quality and hygiene need serious improvement.

Immerse yourself in local culture and arts at the Craigleith Heritage Depot, a multifaceted destination featuring a museum, gallery, and public library. Engage in various activities such as Trivia Night, History Sharing drop-ins, Kids Storytime, or cooking classes. The depot's historical significance is evident through its connection to Sir Sanford Fleming and its original function as a train station until the 1960s.
The Craigleith Heritage Depot: What a delightful experience! A museum and library tucked into the last Grand Trunk Railway Station. This captivating structure overlooks the Georgian Bay offering some incredible views outside and lots to see inside. Examine real fossils embedded in stone, see work from local artisans, purchase your own geode, step out onto the veranda to enjoy the view of Georgian Bay, 'watch for the train' from the tower room and discover the distance to three towns, find out what connection Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and Jean Cretien, the Minister of Indian Affairs have with one or more displays, make use of their research, museum and archival services, and so much more. Do yourself a favour and ask the fabulously knowledgeable and friendly staff questions about subjects like: stories from visitors, favourite displays, what remains from the restaurant days, how the train passengers entered the building, or their favourite task(s) and/or experience(s). The answers can amuse, enlighten, surprise, or impress you. This is a must stop and check it out for yourself, if only for the views! Set aside at least half an hour to walk through and note things of interest. However, as this is a library, and a research facility, as well as a museum, you can find ways to spend countless hours here and still find reasons to return. Want to wet your appetite? Visit their website, I saw a link to their virtual museum there, but have yet to try it myself.

Beautiful place for a walk in late May. The lilacs are in bloom and the scent is heavenly. Only downside: I saw people with buckets of lilacs that they cut to take home. Please leave these Beautiful late spring flowers on the trees so everyone can enjoy them.

We were driving to get apples at Almond's Meaford and stopped to check out Northwinds Beach. I saw that Craigleith Heritage Depot was nearby. This is small museum/heritage/travel info all in one. I got a friendly welcome and invitation to browse the exhibits. Lots of things happened here. There are a few rooms and they are arranged by theme and topic. It has connections to Sir Sanford Fleming, originally built in late 1870s. It served ans the train station until the 1960s. In the 1940s it was popular with skiiers to take the train from Toronto. Then it was vacant from 1960 to 1964, when it was operated as a restaurant by Kenn and Suyrea Knappman until 1999, then it was again vacant for a time. It was purchased in 2001 by the Town of the Blue Mountains. It is now a museum/heritage Centre. Plan on taking friends to see this next time.

Tomahawk Golf Course offers an excellent, well-maintained course at a reasonable price. Despite initial concerns about the course's quality, it is indeed beautiful. The short par 3s mean you won't need your driver; even a 3 wood suffices for some women and an 8 iron for others. While no carts are available, the walk is easy and provides stunning scenery. This course comes highly recommended for those visiting or unsure about trying it out.
Absolutely a great place to practice your short game. All 18 greens are in fantastic shape. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Best Golf fun you can have for $25

Brights Gallery in Blue Mountain Village has recently undergone renovations, giving the space a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The gallery showcases a diverse collection of Canadian-made artwork, featuring both well-known and up-and-coming artists. Visitors can expect to find beautiful pieces ranging from abstract to non-abstract works. The staff are known for their patience and kindness, even when dealing with disruptive behavior from some visitors. This gallery is highly recommended for art enthusiasts looking for a welcoming and respectful environment to appreciate unique Canadian art.
Visited Bright's Gallery in 2023 and joined the Newsletter. In the summer, a newsletter was sent where two pieces of art caught my eye. When I inquired about the pieces, the staff were very helpful, creating videos of the pieces and sending me the detailed information. Upon purchasing the items, we do not live near the gallery, they opted to ship the pieces. The owner Bill, was not comfortable with shipping the items and drove 4 hours to our home to deliver them in person. He brought the items to our home and even helped us place them in the proper location. He took his time, explained the pieces and it was one of the best experiences, I have ever had. I'd like to take the opportunity to thank you Bill and your staff for being so knowledgeable and protective of the artist's work. When we are in the area, we will definitely visit once again. Wishing everyone all the best.

A place to enjoy the delightful local paintings. I bought a beautiful coaster as souvenior. However the 'packaging' was horrendous. The staff wrapped it in paper towel and stuffed it in some random plastic bag.

I would like to begin my review by telling Bright Gallery to remove the word Canadian from their company name as they lack in our core Canadian values which are humbleness and respect. I wish the amount of money they have invested in art, they can spend half of it and get basic training to their employees that is how to greet the customers and not make faces when they walk in your store as you guys are located in a touristy place and people of colour will walk in your store, if not you guys shouldn’t be located there to begin with. We went to Blue Mountain with our family and on our way back home my husband and I decided to quickly visit this store as we are looking of an art piece for our home. Firstly as we walked in the gentleman made a nasty face as if we are at the wrong place and when we just started exploring a few pieces he yelled at our little daughter and told her not to touch the art piece. Firstly she was not touching anything and secondly he is not her parent or legal guardian that he has the right to yell to her in that manner and it did not stop there then he further added “you people” by which we all know that he meant people of colour I am a proud Canadian and have never faced such discrimination ever but this incident proved that your store doesn’t want people from different backgrounds to visit. My little was so traumatized that she told me that she will never visit your store. Bravo you guys have lost a potential customer but did earn a lifetime critic and I will make sure to raise this topic wherever I can as Canada is nothing but accepting people from different backgrounds and cultures which you guys clearly lacking. I wanted to give no stars but in order for me post this review I have to give them 1 star but in all fairness they deserve 0 from my end

Our visit at Brights Gallery in Collingwood was delightful, informative and full of beauty. The variety of artworks is impressive, showcasing both established and emerging artists. I was enthralled with the curators’ description of a particular piece, explaining the detailed process and background of the artist. I felt that I could walk into the art and be right there. I now live with several artworks from Brights Gallery, both very different in subject and in technique. One brings a serene presence while the other adds the fullness of nature to the room. The gallery is a must-visit for any art lover looking for a delightful and enriching experience.
Catharine J — Google review
I purchased a client a lovely painting as a thankyou from Brights. Not only do they still love it, the artist has become quite well known. I have known the Owner of Brights for years and have always enjoyed my visits to the Gallery and find him to be a true gentleman. This is a business I would recommend.

Marvellous art work ….one of the finest I hv seen in Ontario .The one star is for the exceptionally rude representative @blue mountains . I would hv given 0 star if allowed .We went twice to this place ,both the times the arrogant lady was watching videos on her iMac loud giggling. My bad luck that second time I went in as my elderly dad needed to use the public washroom and the directions were not clear. I politely asked the lady after excusing that Sorry to disturb you it’s urgent …. She rolled her eyes and gave me a dirty look and replied in a very rude tone pointing her finger “ directions ask the information desk“ How pathetic ….literally 4 stores from this shop the restrooms are located . Sorry but I’m glad I never asked the price of the paintings I wonder how she treats the buyers…would never recommend to anyone.

The Loree Forest trail offers a fantastic hiking experience with a diverse range of landscapes, including rugged inclines and declines, vibrant forests, open meadows, and picturesque farm fields. The trail also provides breathtaking panoramic views of the nearby escarpment and Georgian Bay. It is important to note that some sections may pose challenges while others are more manageable; therefore, consulting the Bruce Trail Conservancy Reference Guide before setting out is advised.
Such a great hiking trail — so much variety from rocky ascents and descents, lush forests, meadows and farm fields, to huge sweeping views of the escarpment and Georgian Bay. Some parts are tricky and some parts are easier so be sure to consult your Bruce Trail Conservancy Reference Guide before you head out. Happy Trails!

It’s an $80 ticket if you don’t pay $5/hour to take a walk in the woods. Hope you brought your phone to pay! As a longtime visitor to the region who spends a fair bit of money at local establishments, this feels like nickel and diming and leaves a sour taste. The trail itself is fine, though there are others the town hasn’t put parking meters up on, at least for now.
Dan R — Google review
This trail easily becomes one of my favorite trails. Sucks that we have to pay for parking but the trail is well-maintained, fairly easy to walk on and are very dog friendly. Perhaps because of the pay parking, it's not busy at all and very serene. Will come back with my pup! They use Honk app for parking which makes it easy to extend while walking on the trail if you need extra time.

Little River Beach Park in Thornbury is a beloved destination for families and locals, offering a sandy beach, playground, and pier. Visitors can enjoy jumping off Thornbury Pier into Georgian Bay or simply watching others take the plunge. The park provides amenities such as parking, picnic areas, swimming opportunities, boat rentals, and marina access. While the beach may be rocky rather than sandy, the clear and clean water makes it an attractive spot for families with kids.
So little lovely rocky beach next to the marina. Intimate place with crystal clear fresh water close to the Downtown. It is ideal to visit in the summer months, especially in August, when you can also swim in the water, although many people come here almost all year round and for popular hardening.

Nice little beach in the Town of Blue Mountain. People were having fun jumping from the dock into the lake. Parking is expensive ($10 per hour).

We love this beach. The water is always really nice…..not super warm, but clear and clean. A good spot for families and kids. There is a decent part against the beach, and the washrooms are in good condition. There are also picnic spots right by, making it an easy pit stop if you’re on the go. The only negative is that it’s a rocky beach (most beaches are in this area). Not much sand. Just make sure to wear your shoes to the water.

Nice, quiet little beach with a small playground located beside it. It's a pebbly/rocky beach, so most people were camped out on the grassy area along the edge, rather than on the beach. Not a huge area to explore, but a nice stop if you're in the area.

Limited parking space, there's a bar code to pay for parking, once you passed the wooden bridge and through the pine tress at this time of year (March 5) felt like you are in a different world with the green moss on tip of the stones, birds chirping and the wind blowing and the scent is very refreshing. A pristine area to hike or snowshoe. Mostly advanced terrain on the main trail of the Bruce Trail, some easier spots close to the parking lot at the top of the 2nd Line. Lots of caves, crevices and boulders to navigate on the Bruce Trail. Beautiful for fall leaf viewing, and a variety of ferns, mushrooms and moss.

An awesome section of the Bruce Trail and its side trails. Connects via The Bruce trail to Pretty River Provincial Nature Reserve which has awesome hiking trails as well. Could easily make a full day of it. For Bruce Trail members there is an over night rest area where you can spend the night. No fires though.

The lodge itself is cozy and welcoming. The coffee/teas and snacks where well prepared and delicious, we never got to stay for lunch as the queue was into the other side of the lodge!! All in all i would highly recommend a day skiing here, you'll be very much looked after.

I recently had the pleasure of participating in the Marketing workshop hosted by the Blue Mountains Chamber of Commerce and held at the Marsh Street Centre. It's a fabulous venue for this kind of event plus a wonderful benefit to our local community.

Cute and quaint. I attended a celebration of life there recently. I would have given 5 stars but I have one complaint which was the massive amount of noise and insensitive bar tender who was running water, clinking glasses and jostling ice cubes in the middle of the speeches. Please train your bartenders to arrive early to prepare or to be sensitive and sensible. I have bar tended in the past and I would never dream of making noise as guests were speaking. It's common courtesy.

I have attended many different event here and I just love the space. The auditorium is a great size- not too big or small- so any show you see there you have a great seat. The chairs are extremely comfortable. I know a chair doesn't seem like much to write a review for, when when you have difficulty with small hard chairs, you really do appreciate a soft, wide chair. It also makes the shows more enjoyable when you are comfortable. The fact that there is a barbto get beverages at before the show or during is also fabulous! Such a great hidden gem in the small town of Clarksburg

We hit this place to have breakfast. There is so much love showered by the people from the time of entering. Honestly it was like having a morning with family because of the friendly and warm nature extended by them. The food was for $10 and the choices were too many to choose from. Just bacon and pancakes and coffee but the hospitality fills your stomach and will leave one satisfied.

This is a great community centre offering many events to entertain and educate. Their Marsh Street Ricks program teaching music to kids and adults is very inspiring. By the end of a one week program the members are rocking up a storm. Put on some great bands and people making a difference in music. Personally enjoyed the Sadies. The kids had fun playing games at their Halloween event for families.

We have our work kids Christmas party here every year. It's a great amount of space and a beautiful building, theres a stage there thats well lit, perfect for events. Only complaint is the removal of shoes is a little strange.
