Nestled in the picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Shaw Festival Theatre stands as a cultural gem and a must-visit destination for theatre enthusiasts. This flagship 856-seat venue has been captivating audiences since 1962 with its remarkable productions inspired by the works of George Bernard Shaw.
We took our children to the Shaw Festival's production of "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe". The production was amazing. Well written and produced. We were blown away by the set design, costuming and acting. The theater itself is very charming with a lovely gift shop and concession. There is a lot of space in the atrium to sit or stand. The staff and volunteers were wonderful. They even brought booster seats for the kids which meant we didn't have to worry about them not being able to see over the seats ahead of them. I really hope we get to go back sometime in the future!
Tara F — Google review
Nice to see that this venue is still great and has kept up with the times. Seats are very comfortable for longer performances and the slope of the theatre is great. You have a great view even in the second last row of orchestra. Came to see Anything Goes and the production was excellent. Really high production value. Exceeded my expectations.

We attended a ‘Sunday Coffee Concert’ at the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The musical performance was led by Music Director Paul Sportelli and supported by members of the Shaw Festival. Playing to a full house audience, singer Jay Turkey joined the musicians in a beautiful version of La Vi e en Rose. The facility, performance and beautiful surroundings of Niagara made for a precious summer musical visit!
Michael B — Google review
First timer yesterday, the theater is very nice, spacious and clean. A nice lobby café and refreshment available before and during intermission as well as little gift shop! The play we saw was "Wait Until Dark" it was a great night out, actors was amazing, the lighting and music everything was just great! The seats and view were great and comfy! Love the under 35 years old pricing they have available! We will be back!
Jessica D — Google review
The play at the Shaw festival what is absolutely fantastic. Niagara on the lake was spectacular. The floral display within the town was in full bloom. All the unique shops we're very busy in the streets were filled with people. It was a wonderful experience!

Went to see Murder on the Lake matinee - Friday Oct 3. Loved the play. I didn’t know anything about it, so loved the interactive twist component. Highly recommend! Theatre was packed for the 1pm show! Staff were incredibly friendly. Great experience. There is an option discussion component at the end of the performance.

Fort George National Historic Site is a captivating military landmark that transports visitors back to the War of 1812. Nestled just outside Niagara on the Lake, this reconstructed site features impressive defensive palisades and authentically restored buildings, including officer's quarters and a military kitchen. The fort comes alive with costumed staff who engage in living history demonstrations, showcasing musket firing and performances by the Fife and Drum Corps during the summer months.
Such a beautiful site with great hosts that make it feel authentic. The site is well maintained with bilingual workers that do presentations throughout the day. We were lucky enough to come during a musket demonstration. The presenter was so educational, fluent in his delivery, and very funny! We will definitely be back on a day that wasn't so warm so we can take in more of the site and hopefully catch another presentation.
Jaikob H — Google review
Interesting information at the site. Really nice area. Great place to visit. Was fun to see the fife and drum muster with multiple groups present with music demonstrations and musket firing demonstrations. Will come again. Nice that it's free to visit this year (although worth the visit even if you had to pay).
Derek G — Google review
Exceeded expectations and spent more time here than originally planned. Plus in 2025, it is free (except for parking). In addition to a number of buildings with so much historical information and artifacts, there were period dressed staff who were there to provide information or answer your questions. While there, there was a parade to raise the flag, a musket demonstration and a talk about the War of 1812 under some trees. And so dog friendly as we were able to carry our smaller pups into the buildings. Well done!
N F — Google review
A very interesting historical site to visit while in the town of niagara on the lake. There were live firing demonstrations then which was cool. Its a big site with underground tunnels, watch towers etc and very relaxing to just walk around and learn about the historical significance of the fort. Highly recommend to drop by while visiting the town
Joy T — Google review
My 13 year old sons and I went here and we just loved it! There were several different learning demonstrations and such a great staff. Super cool place to visit! I highly recommend it.
Molly V — Google review
The Battle of Fort George was fought at this National Historic Site during the War of 1812. It was an American victory and, during the Battle, which was fought in May, 1813 the Fort was almostv entirely destroyed. Although the British retook the fort, they put litte effort into its reconstruction. The only original building on site is a gunpowder magazine. The current Fort was reconstructed in the 1930s. The museum at the fort contains many exhibits that oroginate from the War of 1812 period. The staff and reinactors are amazing.
Dan T — Google review
Our first visit and we were totally bowled over by the experience. They have several presentations, and all of them were comprehensive, informative, and fun! Very impressive presenters, indeed. We even got to taste the cookies and cake that the presenter made based on the original recipes. It's great fun for all ages, and it's free! A must visit place!
Retno R — Google review
This was such an amazing experience. The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly and so informative. The area is steeped in the history of the War of 1812. I loved seeing crew in the uniforms marching around. The musket display was an experience. Fully recommend visiting Fort George

Nestled in the heart of Niagara, the Niagara Apothecary is a captivating glimpse into the past, meticulously restored to reflect its 1869 pharmacy origins. This charming museum showcases an impressive array of vintage remedies displayed in elegant glass-fronted walnut cabinets. Visitors can marvel at unique items like Merrill's System Tonic and rare apothecary flasks that tell stories of health and healing from yesteryears.
The Niagara Apothecary A hidden gem in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake! 🌿✨ This beautifully restored 19th-century pharmacy offers a glimpse into the past with its original fixtures, vintage medicine bottles, and old-fashioned remedies. The stunning interior feels like a living museum, giving you a sense of how medicine was practiced over 150 years ago. Whether you're a history buff or love unique experiences, the Apothecary is a must-visit while exploring Niagara. The best part? It’s free to visit! Perfect for a quick stop or a deep dive into Canada’s medical history. 🏛️
Little S — Google review
The Niagara apothecary is an absolutely stunning piece of pre-Confederation architecture. The building was built in the 1820s and became a pharmacy after extensive renovations in 1866. It remained a pharmacy until 1964. Paid Street parking is available. Excellent place to visit to understand the history of the town.
Bobby S — Google review
Most people probably walk right past this place, but if you open the heavy door, you’ll find yourself enchanted by a collection of historic medicine bottles that make you forget the noise outside. It’s rare to see them preserved in such beautiful condition, and they hold great historical value. If the museum happens to be open, consider yourself lucky. Be sure to check it out!
Miho Y — Google review
Finally able to stop in for a visit and was not disappointed. So many neat collections from the old pharmacy and preserved how it was back in the 18-1900s. The loveliest gentleman shared some of the interesting history of this place, I would highly recommend taking a peak while you’re in NOTL.
Storms P — Google review
Free to visit or donation. This was once the oldest pharmacy in Ontario. Increible to see how well it is maintained. Nice displays inside for all to see. Some gifts can be purchased inside. It is nice to see what things looked like back in the day. Very interested. No free WiFi. Everything is in English. Come in and look and make a donation.
JC L — Google review
Very cool to read about the history of medicine at this museum. After walking in, it feels like you stepped back in time with how many pieces of history they have in there. Looks like they kept all the original medicine bottles. Great place to pass the time and it’s free. As we were passing to leave, we saw some very cool coasters and decided to purchase some.
Bethany M — Google review
Packed full of history and set up like you walked back into a time long ago. I described it to my mom as the "pharmacy in It's a Wonderful Life"...so beautiful.
Liane M — Google review
The Niagara Apothecary in Niagara-on-the-Lake is an utterly charming little gem that feels like stepping back in time. Quaint and full of character, it’s less about practicality and more about delighting in the experience. While the items inside may not be essential, browsing through its vintage remedies and quirky products is a wonderful way to spend a leisurely afternoon. It’s the perfect spot to splurge a bit—more for the story than the substance—and the kind of place you’ll happily share with friends just to say, “I’ve been there.” A whimsically quaint stop that captures a bit of old-world magic.

Queen's Royal Park in Niagara-on-the-Lake is a picturesque waterfront green space featuring a small beach, a charming gazebo, picnic tables, benches, and restrooms. It's an ideal destination for a leisurely stroll with stunning views of the Niagara River and Fort Niagara. The park is within walking distance from Queen Street in the old town, allowing visitors to enjoy the colonial-style houses along the way.
After lunch we walked through town and checked out a few shops before finding our way to Queen's Royal Park. It's a beautiful walk way along the river. Very scenic and peaceful. It was nice to just relax and watch some boats go by, and watch people fall off their paddle boards. There was no cost to enter the park.
Jason S — Google review
Situated in the town of Niagara-on-the-lake, this park is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the town. A stretch of lawn with benches for a small picnic or a small beach area to relax and have fun. A small pathway that is nice with a great view of lake Ontario. Just across the street is parking and it is conveniently located near the downtown area. A perfect tourist attraction, period.
Pritesh G — Google review
The Queen's Royal Park is a beautiful park in the Niagara-on-the-Lake region where people can walk, sit and relax. The view of the lake is wonderful. People can have picnics with family and friends and enjoy during summers. There are designated parking lots close to the park where one can easily pay for parking their vehicles. Downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake is just walking distance from the park and has some great shops, cafes and restaurants.

Explored this lovely park when visiting the niagara falls. You can see the downtown Toronto from there, especially when the sky is clear. The lake looks really blue, and its so peaceful to walk around. Definitely worth a visit during your trip! :)

We love visiting the picturesque Queens Royal Park whenever we are in Niagara-on-the Lake region. The Gazebo acts as a beautiful and romantic backdrop for pictures! The place is ideal for a picnic or a romantic stroll. We love going there for an amazing sunset view over Lake Ontario.

Very scenic park along the Lake Ontario. Park is maintained well and maybe crowded during weekends. Mandatory paid parking. Washrooms are available and it’s very clean and well maintained. Toronto skyline maybe visible if the sky is clear . Some buildings like old Niagara fort at USA side is clearly visible. This place is something unique.

This was my first time going to Canada. I saw online, when I was planning my trip to Niagara Falls, that Niagara on the Lake was a must see. I have to agree now that I've been. It's a very beautiful place the flowers are so pretty and well kept. We walked around town and to the lake. The lake is very nice as well. Benches in the shade to sit and admire the scenery. I'm very glad we didn't miss visiting here.
Penny B — Google review
A perfect place to sit and look at the Fort, or the GTA skyline on a clear day. Highly recommend to first time visitors. Drive very slow in this area and you'll see tons of historic homes and structures. I'll definitely return to this park if I ever visit Niagara on the Lake again.

McFarland House, nestled in a serene park-like setting, is a historic gem dating back to the 1800s. Constructed by John McFarland and his sons on land granted by King George III, it stands as one of the few pre-War of 1812 buildings in Niagara-on-the-Lake. During the war, it served as a hospital and army headquarters for both British and American forces. The house also housed a cannon battery aimed at protecting the Niagara River.
McFarland house is located on Niagara Parkway directly on the Niagara river which forms the international boundary between Canada and the United States. Lewiston, New York is directly visible from the property. The home is meticulously maintained and is part of many guided, group tours. The surrounding park has trails, park benches as well as picnic tables, which makes it a great spot to spend time with family and friends and have a barbecue. There are many wineries located in close proximity. Paid parking is available and an admissions ticket is required Absolutely the historic piece of Canadian history. Definitely worth a visit.
Bobby S — Google review
We visited the McFarland House, Friday July 25 th. Our visit started in the opulent gardens which were such a treat. They were a combination of Country English Garden that combined a fully versatile Kitchen Garden. What a world of abundance we would live in if we all planted with so much purpose and beauty. As we entered the house there were three hosts were bubbling around. They were full of so much joy and laughter. We signed up for a tour of the house to learn about the McFarland House, John McFarland and his family. That house had interesting features including the brickwork and the methods applied in building the house. Very interesting to anyone in construction or architecture. The guide highlighted many original features including peek holes into the original paints. The main stairway which was ahead of its time. The original locking mechanism on the front door. To one of the original cast iron heaters. Upstairs they have set up the main bedroom, a child’s bedroom, a servants room (Which in all likelihood would not have been in the main house.) and as the house was used as a hospital during the war of 1812 there was a soldiers room. This area is ripe in history especially of the war of 1812. It is the focus of the tour. My only disappointment was there was no mention of the history of of our First Nations and how this land came to be in the possession of the McFarlands. Not to takeaway from the families history. Yet to honour the history of these lands and how our country came to be. Our tour was about 45 mins. We had some wonderful conversations with our tour guide and shared some trips down memory lane. We were able to share living history of seeing some of the artifacts in use in our families homes. My Great Grandmother used a chamber pot and a bed warmer her passing in 1979. My Great Aunt always used a wash stand in her bedroom til early 1980’s There was a clay pipe similar to the one my husband had til 2020. We were then fortunate to stay for High Tea in their beautiful Tea Room in the Conservatory. They were served by the tour guides in period dress. The sandwiches were watercress, cucumber and turkey. The scones cheese and chive, berry and plain with jam , cream and butter. Finished with an assortment of desserts and fruits. You have a selection of teas to enjoy. We loved the Scottish Breakfast Tea. I indulged in a mimosa. My only regret was not taking a picture of the Lady with the Pearls. We are making plans to return for the Murder Mystery event they offer. Accessibility of the fist floor was great. Sadly being a period home the 2nd floor would not be available to wheel chair users. I left my walker used my cane and they did provide spots to sit along the way. If you wish to have high tea I would recommend reservations.
Samantha E — Google review
The McFarland House was an absolute dream venue for our wedding! The historic charm, lush gardens, and beautifully maintained grounds created the most romantic atmosphere for our special day. From the moment we arrived, it felt timeless and intimate — like we had stepped into a fairytale. The natural beauty of the property meant we hardly needed extra décor, and every spot was picture-perfect for photos. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how stunning and unique the venue was. The staff was also wonderful and ensured everything went smoothly. We are so grateful to have had such a magical place to begin our married life — it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

I had my bridal shower here and it was breathtakingly beautiful. The staff were amazing and so kind. They had setup such a beautiful event that included the high tea setup, drinks, personalized cookies and stationary. Everything was delicious and beautiful. I couldn’t have imagined a better place or team for this event.

Guided tour followed with afternoon tea. For 4 – guided tour $35.00 For 4 – afternoon tea spread $198.00 Guided tour was very informative, with a lovely kitchen garden. Staff were sweet, and the historical home is very well maintained. One of the menu options was the sandwich of the day — tomato with kale salad, both from their garden. I very much enjoyed this fresh garden option. I also selected iced tea and was glad it was more natural-tasting rather than filled with sugars.

The Laura Secord Homestead is a restored residence that pays tribute to the bravery and resilience of Laura Secord, a Canadian heroine from the War of 1812. The homestead offers guided tours led by costumed interpreters who share captivating stories about Laura's adventures and the historical significance of the area. Situated near the picturesque Niagara Parkway, this historic house stands as a testament to Laura Secord's exceptional courage and her enduring impact on Canadian history.
The Laura Secord Homestead is located in Queenston, Ontario down the street for the Niagara river, which formed the international boundary between Canada and the United States. It is beautifully maintained with no attention to detail being spared. There is plenty of parking and it is located in a quiet, residential neighbourhood with a beautiful bucolic feeling. Definitely worthwhile visiting the Homestead of this Canadian heroine. The Homestead is currently closed, however, an admissions ticket is required and it is a stop on the orange line.

Emma was very informative and patient!! She gave us a wonderful tour and we learned a bunch of facts we didn't know existed!! Kudos to Laura Secord! It also has Tesla destination charger!!
Ahsan K — Google review
The homestead has this genuine, preserved vibe. As you stroll through its rooms, you can almost sense the Secord family’s presence and picture what life was like back in the early 19th century. With its period furniture and peaceful surroundings, it really takes you back in time. However, the real highlight of the visit is the amazing story of Laura Secord and her brave actions during the War of 1812. Her daring 32-kilometer trek through enemy territory to alert British troops about an upcoming American attack showcases the bravery and strength that marks a crucial moment in Canadian history. One of the best parts of our visit was definitely our guide. They were super knowledgeable, with an impressive understanding of Laura Secord, her family, the local history, and the larger context of the War of 1812. They didn’t just spit out facts; they made the story come alive with interesting anecdotes, vivid descriptions, and answers to all our questions. Their enthusiasm for the topic was contagious and really enhanced the whole experience, making the history feel real and relevant instead of just something from a textbook. Honestly, if you love history, this place is a must-visit. It’s not just a bunch of artifacts; it’s a powerful story brought to life by passionate storytellers. Whether you’re a history buff or just curious about important Canadian tales, the homestead gives you deep insight into a key moment in the country’s past. In summary, the Laura Secord Homestead provides a unique and priceless historical experience. It stands as a symbol of courage, a glimpse into the past, and is an absolute must-see when you’re exploring the Niagara area. Highly recommended!

I've know a little bit about Laura Secord but this museum goes into more details than what little we learned in history class. Our guide was really good in explaining and reliving the famous journey of Laura Secord. If you like history and learning , this is a great place.

The Butterfly Conservatory is a captivating venue where you can witness over 2,000 butterflies fluttering in a lush rainforest setting. It's one of the many must-see attractions at Niagara Falls State Park, offering an immersive experience with nature. The conservatory provides an opportunity to observe these beautiful creatures up close and learn about their habitat. It's a perfect family-friendly destination that offers an educational and enchanting experience for visitors of all ages.
I’d give 20 stars if I could! Everything was spotless and well maintained. The $20 entry fee was totally worth it. The moment you step inside, you can feel the amazing energy — butterflies are flying all around you, and the view is absolutely beautiful. If you love butterflies, this place is a must-visit! The staff was super friendly, and don’t miss the free rose garden outside.

Absolutely beautiful experience! The Butterfly Conservatory is like stepping into a tropical paradise — warm, lush, and full of color. There are literally hundreds of butterflies flying all around you, landing on flowers, and sometimes even on you if you stand still long enough! 🦋 The place is super well-maintained and peaceful, with little walking paths surrounded by waterfalls and tropical plants. It’s perfect for photos and honestly feels like you’ve escaped into another world for a bit. The educational displays before entering are short but interesting, especially for kids. Such a relaxing and magical spot — definitely worth visiting if you’re in Niagara Falls. Great for families, couples, or anyone who wants a quiet break from the busier attractions. 🌿✨

We wanted a kid and baby-friendly activity for our mini getaway and am so glad we opted for this. We’ve been to Niagara Falls dozens of times but had never thought to explore this gem and we were so glad we did. We spent less than an hour here (thank you previous Google reviewers about the paid parking tip and only needing an hour!) yet it felt much longer. Adults, kid and baby were so enchanted by the exotic beauty of the thousands of gorgeous butterflies fluttering around. What a treat it was to be in their domain and admire in awe and wonder. It is humid of course so recommend to come in a t-shirt, regardless of the actual weather outside. We had our baby in a baby carrier and it worked out wonderfully; saw some other babies in strollers and preferred having a baby carrier as it allowed us to navigate easily on the paths. Gift shop was a lovely browse too; purchased a cute hologram butterfly bookmark for our son to remember this conservatory every time he reads. Highly recommended!

Cool small dome filled with many butterflies and tropical plants. I was impressed by the number of butterflies, but expected a little more variety of types. 20-30 minutes is plenty to see everything. Kind of expensive at over $20 for an adult and $8 parking in the lot. I would say it's worth stop if it's part of an included package...probably dont need to go out of your way to see just that unless you are a big butterfly fan.

If I could give this place more stars, I would. This was an AMAZING experience that felt like pure joy and relaxation at the same time. There were so many absolutely stunning butterflies of all different kinds. 10/10 recommend this place whether you’re traveling, just trying to get the family out of the house, or even for a fun date. I cannot express how beautiful this place and experience was. After the experience there’s a cute gift shop, as well as gorgeous gardens and even a cafe! Definitely a highlight of my vacation!

I’ve been here TWO times for my birthday, i LOVE it. I also really love Kyle, one of the workers there. he’s just like me. Tell Kyle he’s awesome. He might not remember me but i’m the pale boy with long-ish brown hair. Anyway, the butterflies are beautiful, the orange ones with yellow spots usually do not like touching me for some reason. remember to look for butterflies who are resting on the floor and pick them up and put them on a leaf so they don’t get stepped on! I recommend this place for insect enjoyers.

October 2025 review. I love butterflies. I been to Key West (Florida) butterfly conservatory as well, I find Niagara is probably bigger, has more variety of plants, trees and number of butterflies. STILL I find experience 45$ including tax for 2 adult people and 2 hour 16$ parking if you wanna enjoy garden and butterflies - way over priced and overvalued! Regardless how beautiful it all is - I still don't think it really worth 61$ for 2 hours being here. Alex Garden or Rosetta McClain Gardens (free parking) (Toronto) are absolutely free and as impressive as Nigara Botanical Garden. The city should cover some cost or at least offer free 2 hour parking. Tourist should not be treated as walking wallets.

There was no wait when we arrived, which was great. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes — there's so much to see outdoors! The gardens are beautiful and very well-maintained, and there's also a cafe on-site if you want to grab a bite. The conservatory itself isn't very large and was a bit crowded when we visited, so we only spent a few minutes inside before heading out. There's also a gift shop, though it's mostly stocked with souvenirs and items for young kids. The real highlight is definitely the outdoor space. We loved exploring the gardens, and there’s even a golf course nearby. Highly recommended for a relaxed day out in nature!

The Niagara SkyWheel is Canada's largest observation wheel, offering stunning panoramic views of the Horseshoe and American Falls, the Niagara River, and other landmarks. The glass-enclosed gondolas reach heights of 175 feet, providing a comfortable vantage point for visitors to enjoy the breathtaking scenery in any season. With heating and air conditioning in each gondola, guests can take in the beauty of Niagara Falls year-round.
This Ferris Wheel was awesome. My wife and I always love to go on these for the views. We were not disappointed. The views were incredible. Even though the Horseshoe Falls were at a distance, the view was still amazing. Fortunately for us, the sun was starting to get lower so everything was glowing. The views of Ontario were also gorgeous. Often, rides like this can be quite pricey, especially in popular tourist areas. This one was $15 Canadian which is about $10.50 in US dollars. For that price, we were expecting two loops. We got five. Every time we went around, we gave each other a high-five. Overall, we both highly recommend it.

Riding the Niagara SkyWheel was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. We went during the day, and I can't recommend it enough. Seeing the Horseshoe and American falls lit up in vibrant colors from 175 feet in the air was just breathtaking. The whole experience was smooth and comfortable. The line moved quickly, the cabin was fully enclosed and climate-controlled, which was a nice touch, making it a cozy and peaceful ride despite the buzz of Clifton Hill below. The ride lasted about 10-12 minutes, giving us plenty of time (about 3-4 full rotations) to soak in the 360-degree views and take some incredible photos without any glare from the windows. It felt very safe and steady the entire time. If you're trying to decide when to go, definitely choose the afternoon or the sunset! The glittering lights of the city and the illuminated falls create a truly magical experience. It's well worth the ticket price for a perspective you just can't get anywhere else. Five stars all the way!

Absolutely loved the Niagara SkyWheel! It’s such a fun and unique way to see the Falls and the surrounding Niagara area from above. The views are absolutely breathtaking — you get an incredible perspective of both the Horseshoe Falls and the Niagara skyline, and if you go around sunset or at night, the lights make everything look magical. The cabins are fully enclosed, clean, and spacious, which makes it comfortable even on cold or windy days. The ride is smooth and relaxing, giving you plenty of time to soak in the scenery or take amazing photos. You can really see how vast the area is from up there — it’s a perspective you just can’t get from the ground. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s also perfect for families, couples, or even solo travellers looking for a unique view of the Falls. Definitely a must-do attraction if you’re visiting Niagara Falls — it’s quick, fun, and absolutely worth every penny. I’d go back in a heartbeat! 🎡🌊

Tourist from London, and I highly recommend the Niagara Skywheel, the view at night of the falls and the lights is worth it. The cabin is temp control so it was warm inside. We went around 5 times so the ride was worth it for the price. A nice thing to do with the family.

We decided to try out the sky-wheel on a whim on a recent visit to Niagara. It was a fun little experience, albeit somewhat expensive for a short ride. Neat to experience the Falls from above! Not for anyone who is afraid of heights though (it took me a little bit to feel comfortable at those heights, especially when it stopped!) :). Once everyone is loaded you go around a few times before they unload everyone again. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area!

The Niagara SkyWheel was such a beautiful experience! The view of the Falls and city lights was absolutely stunning, especially at night. The ride was smooth, the cabins were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Totally worth it a must do in Niagara Falls!

This is included with the Clifton Hill Fun Pass. The gondola was comfortable and spacious for the 3 of us. The views were great of the surrounding area and the Falls were not too far away. We were lucky as it was not busy, no wait, car to ourselves.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🎡 Niagara SkyWheel – A Must-Do Experience in Niagara Falls! 🌊🌆 The Niagara SkyWheel is hands down one of the best attractions in Niagara Falls 🙌. It’s not just a ride, it’s a full 360° viewing experience that lets you see the Falls 🌊, Clifton Hill 🎢, and the whole city from a completely different perspective 🏙️✨. The cabins are spacious, clean, and fully air-conditioned/heated ❄️🔥, so you can enjoy the ride comfortably no matter the season. Hygiene is well taken care of 🧼, and the ride feels very safe and secure ✅. As the wheel goes around, you get to enjoy breathtaking views 😍 — especially at night 🌃 when the Falls are lit up in different colors 🌈 and Clifton Hill is glowing with lights ✨. During the day, you can see miles across the horizon 🌤️, making it a totally different but equally beautiful experience. 💯 The customer service is excellent — the staff is polite, helpful, and makes sure everyone is comfortable and safe 👏😊. ✔️ Washrooms 🚻 are nearby and easy to access. ✔️ Tickets 🎟️ are reasonably priced considering the experience — totally worth it. ✔️ Parking 🅿️ is available close by (around $15), so convenience isn’t an issue. This is the perfect activity for couples ❤️, families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, or even solo travelers ✨. The slow rotation gives you enough time to relax, take photos 📸, and soak in the stunning views 🌟. Overall, the Niagara SkyWheel is a must-do when you’re in Niagara Falls 💯. It’s calm, romantic, and exciting all at once — the kind of experience that makes your trip truly memorable 🙌🎡🌊.

Konzelmann Estate Winery is a top destination in Niagara-on-the-Lake, offering a range of wine experiences amidst scenic views of Lake Ontario. The winery provides educational tastings and tours, including unique options like vineyard dome tastings. With over 30 years of wine production, the estate is known for its outstanding Canadian wines and attention to the diverse mesoclimates within the region.
If you're in the Niagra-on-the-Lake region and looking for a good winery to visit and taste some fine wines, Konzelmann Estate Winery is definitely a great option to include on your itinerary. The winery already charms us with its structure, reminiscent of old winery castles, and right at the entrance, you have a view of the vibrant grape plantation. The location has its own parking lot, but it may be full, so check some nearby parking spots. For customers with disabilities, the location has no stairs to the store and tasting areas, and all reception is handled by staff, allowing for a smooth transition between areas. The restrooms are adapted to accommodate customers, so you can rest assured during your visit. If you plan to taste on-site, check by phone or social media to see if there are suitable times and days. The winery store is beautiful, featuring all the wines produced on-site, as well as other products. It's definitely worth including in your itinerary.

Konzelmann Estate Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake is a picturesque retreat set amid sprawling vineyards, offering a serene and beautiful setting. The vintage-style building is stunning, both inside and out, exuding classic charm that enhances the overall experience. The wine is truly divine—rich, flavorful, and well-crafted. The tasting session was enjoyable, allowing us to savor some excellent selections. However, the experience was slightly marred when our assigned staff member left mid-tasting for their break, leaving us momentarily unattended. For a paid experience, better coordination would have been ideal. Despite this hiccup, Konzelmann Winery remains a lovely spot for wine lovers. Just be aware that while the vineyard views are gorgeous, there’s no access to walk among the vines. Still, a great visit overall.

I felt bad for underestimating this winery. You don’t usually see many varieties of red wine from Konzelmann at the LCBO, but their selection here truly impressed me. All the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Our guide, Gabriella, was amazing — she knew so much about wine, had a great sense of humor, and even took beautiful photos of us. Thank you! I can’t wait to try the Malbec barrel-aged red — such a unique and complex taste, like a rainbow of flavors! It has so much more with a sip! Absolutely amazing experience.

Konzelmann Winery in Niagara on the Lake is absolutely beautiful! The view from the upstairs area is impressive. You can see the vineyards and the lake, making it the perfect spot to relax and take it all in. Their peach wine slushies are also amazing! Refreshing, fun, and perfect for a warm day. Cute little backyard area to sit. It's definitely worth a visit!

Nice winery on the lake, with multiple different tasting areas and experiences. Though you can see the lake...the building and seating areas are not on the water. The wine was great and the tasting hosts were entertaining. When we went on a fall weekend, it was quite busy and we had to wait a bit to get a spot for tasting. Best to book ahead if you can. Definitely worth a stop.

We did a tour and tasting. The view from the winery is beautiful. We could see the lake. Tour was okay. She was okay. I felt it’s rushed. It’s a crowded place. So many people were there come and go. We wanted to try other wine too but the staff was too busy to deal with us. Peach wine was tasty. We bought one. Konzelmann is good for the experience and short stop to sample.

What a great tasting, with the joyful Donna as our master tastery-teacher! She told so much that I have forgotten what to remember. What I do remember is why we visited: icewine! Absolutely great taste, not to winey, but more the liquor I wanted and expected. And the view from the Winery to Toronto: priceless! Konzelmann and Donna won me over. But also the other staff members. Lovely place and a joy also for non-drinkers like me!

We had an amazing time at Konzelmann Estate Winery! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Each wine we tasted had distinct, delicious flavors – it was clear how much care goes into their winemaking. We enjoyed every moment of the tasting experience and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake!

Treadwell Cuisine is a renowned upscale-casual Canadian restaurant located in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Known for its patio dining and menu featuring local, seasonal fare and regional wines, it's advisable to make reservations well in advance due to its popularity. The award-winning farm-to-table restaurant sources the best local producers and offers a seasonal 4-course prix fixe menu in the evenings.
No beating around the bush - it’s just as phenomenal as all the other reviews say. If you have any doubts, don’t. This is the real deal. Sitting at the counter, you truly get to dive into how well oiled of a machine Chef and his kitchen staff are. Friendly, meticulous, attentive, between timing out their protein cook times, dishes and plating, they had the courtesy to consistently check in on us, ask how everything was and make conversation. One of the best meals and service experiences I’ve ever had.

We had a fantastic Sunday brunch at Treadwell Cuisine. We shared the seasonal peach, tomato, and burrata dish as well as the charcuterie selection. Both were spectacular. Standout entrees included the Lobster Club sandwich, the blueberry pancake, and the two egg breakfast with the fingerling potatoes and toast. Service was fantastic, everything was delivered straight from the kitchen piping hot, and we did not feel rushed at all. We enjoyed our meal and our visit. Highly recommend.

Overall a decent place for tourists looking for a place to sit down and eat. Reasonably priced for the area, the food comes well presented and in large portions, and they do try to make the taste of every dish interesting in some way. Not sure if the effort was made in the right direction though. The staff were all very nice, and the outdoor dining space has a nice vibe. Overall, I would still recommend this place over many other restaurants in the same area.

My husband and I recently used Treadwell as our catering service for our wedding at Ironwood Cider House and we were very impressed. We have been to the Treadwell restaurant as customers as well as for our wedding menu tasting and we have nothing but great things to say! The service and food was impeccable. We loved sitting in front of the kitchen watching the chefs work their craft. As for our catering at our wedding, the service was still stellar, but the food was slightly below our expectations. Our appetizers weren’t quite on point - the scallop smelled too fishy, and the carrot salad wasn’t seasoned enough. For the entrees, the halibut was a bit dry, but the striploin was just as good as when we tried it during our menu tasting. Overall, we definitely still recommend Treadwell for sure! We understand the logistics of catering is obviously quite different than making to order at a restaurant, which is why we are still very content!

Delicious food and amazing service. Our server, Briar, was so sweet and helpful. We sat at the chefs counter and it was nice to chat with the chefs and watch them plating the dishes. The food tasted so good and everything was plated beautifully. It was a set 3 course menu where each person chooses an appetizer, main course and dessert. Treadwell is a great spot for a nice dinner or special occasion in NOTL.

Came here for my birthday dinner as a solo diner and it was very decent. The food was great, didn’t opt for the wine pairing as I had been drinking wine all day in the surrounding wineries. Definitely recommend the crispy pork belly starter and the steak main. Very tender and flavorful. I also recommend getting a table by the bar if dining solo, that was the only mistake I made when booking my reservation because it felt awkward eating alone!
Em ( — Google review
Stopped here for dinner with a group of friends, we had a large group about a dozen of. James was our server and he was absolutely fantastic. The service was amazing, the ambiance was excellent, and the food was absolutely phenomenal! Everything was cooked to perfection, and tasted delicious. The fresh bread, the home made butter, the appetizers, all amazing. I ordered the filet mignon... this was the best steak I have ever had. The chef did a wonderful job, all of our plates came out exactly as ordered. Desserts were also impressive. I ordered the chocolate creme brulee. We all enjoyed a wonderfully cooked meal and had such a great time. We will definitely be making reservations again. The cost to eat here is about $150 (Canadian.) per person.

The Whirlpool Aero Car has been carrying visitors above the Niagara River and its unique whirlpool since 1916. This antique cable car offers a thrilling experience as it suspends passengers over the river, providing breathtaking views of the swirling whirlpool below. The attraction is part of a range of sightseeing activities available in the area, including boat trips, historical museums, and natural wonders like Niagara Falls State Park. Visitors can also explore local culture, dining options, and budget-friendly accommodations nearby.
Ever seen a cable car dangling precariously over a massive whirlpool and thought, "Nope!"? Well, that's exactly the Whirlpool Aero Car experience! It's an attraction where you ride back and forth in a suspended cable car. While its appearance might make some folks a bit nervous (it certainly looks a little intimidating!), trust me, it's not scary at all once you're on board. And why should you brave its looks? Because the views are absolutely breathtaking! You get an incredible, panoramic perspective of the Niagara Whirlpool and the Niagara Gorge that you simply can't get from anywhere else. Even if it looks a bit daunting, I highly recommend giving it a go. The visual payoff is totally worth it. Quick tip for your visit: Parking here is free, which is always a bonus! I visited in the morning, and finding a spot was super easy – practically stress-free. I can't speak for the afternoon crowds, but my morning parking experience was top-notch!

The Whirlpool Aero Car Ride in Niagara Falls, Ontario, was a breathtaking experience! The journey itself was just ten minutes, but the views made every second worth it. Suspended above the swirling waters, the sights were nothing short of breathtaking and spectacular. For the price paid, some might say it’s a little steep for the time spent, but for me, it was absolutely worth it. The perspective you gain from that ride is one you simply can’t experience any other way. And just like that, I can check another adventure off my bucket list! ✔️ This was definitely a one-time thrill for me—an unforgettable glimpse of Niagara’s beauty from above.

7 Whirlpool State Park Niagara Falls The Niagara Whirlpool is a natural whirlpool in the Niagara River, located downstream from Niagara Falls along the Canada-U.S. border. It was formed approximately 4,200 years ago and is known for its powerful, counterclockwise spin during the day, which reverses direction at night when water is diverted for hydroelectric power. Visitors can view the whirlpool from nearby state/provincial parks, such as the Whirlpool State Park in the U.S. and the Niagara Glen Nature Reserve in Canada, or from the Whirlpool Aero Car. Formation and dynamics Formation: The whirlpool formed about 4,200 years ago as the Niagara River eroded the Niagara Escarpment. Daily flow: During the day, the powerful current from Niagara Falls enters the whirlpool, flows counterclockwise around the basin, and sinks under the incoming stream before exiting, as explained by Niagara Parks. Nightly reversal: Starting around 10 p.m., water diversion for hydroelectric plants reduces the flow, causing the whirlpool to reverse direction and spin clockwise until morning. Viewing the whirlpool Whirlpool Aero Car: A historic cable car that crosses the gorge, offering spectacular views of the whirlpool as it travels over the US and Canadian borders. Whirlpool State Park (U.S.): Offers scenic overlooks and trails along the gorge rim. Niagara Glen Nature Reserve (Canada): Provides access to trails with views of the gorge and the whirlpool.

Amazing view! Since we went on a week day only waited 5 minutes. I would have happily waited longer for the scenery! I was concerned about what side we would be on but on your way back they have you switch to the other side so everyone gets the best seat in the house for photos and views. The guide we had clearly didn’t have a passion for what he was doing and was not patient with customers who were more needy but didn’t ruin the trip at all. Gift shop, bathroom and food is available on site! Bus stop right out front. Must see do not miss!

Such an amazing experience! The Whirlpool Aero Car is one of those classic Niagara attractions that you just can’t skip. The views from the cable car are absolutely stunning — you’re literally floating over the massive whirlpool where the Niagara River twists and turns below. It’s wild seeing how powerful the current is from up there. The ride itself is smooth and safe, and the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts as you go. It’s not a long ride, but totally worth it for the unique view and great photo ops. Perfect combo of thrill, history, and scenery — definitely a must-do if you’re exploring Niagara Parks. I’d 100% go again! 🚡💨

Our guide Noah made this a fun entry attraction into Niagara. I laughed out loud at his jokes a couple of times, but either I am easily amused or other people were not understanding that they were jokes. It made my day. The attraction itself is fun, I was hoping we'd be able to get out and access the park on the other side, but it is an out and back tour. The view of the whirlpool from above is pretty amazing seeing Whitewater speed boats navigating the area.

Nestled along the picturesque shores of Lake Ontario, Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club is a cherished gem in the golfing community. Established in 1875, it proudly holds the title of North America's oldest golf club and is steeped in rich history, having been situated on land significant to the War of 1812. This nine-hole course not only offers a delightful golfing experience but also features modern amenities like lakeside dining and live music during summer months on its sun-drenched patio.
One of the best golf courses my wife and I have ever played. The course was well maintained, had a lot of history, the view of the old fort and Lake Ontario were amazing and the staff members were very friendly!!! My wife and I plan on playing this course again in the near future when we come back to Canada. Thanks for the great day.

I requested patio seating but apparently that is not available by reservation so we took the indoor table reserved for us. The view was still very nice, looking out over top of the patio umbrellas. Service was good, relaxed and unrushed. We had the Cornish hen and the Vegetarian Lasagna. The hen was a bit dry and under seasoned. The Lasagna was really flavourful.

This has become my go-to breakfast spot in Niagara-on-the-Lake — especially before or after a nice morning walk around town. Not many people realize the Golf Club restaurant actually serves breakfast, but it’s truly one of the area’s hidden gems. The food is fresh and comforting — I usually go for the classic breakfast with eggs, bacon, and home fries, and it always hits the spot. The coffee’s great, the service is warm and genuine, and that lakefront view is just unbeatable. In the summer, sitting out on the patio overlooking the water feels like something out of a travel magazine. During the off-season, they typically switch to later hours and focus more on lunch, so it’s worth checking ahead before you go. Pros: Peaceful lakeside view — one of the best in town Friendly local service Tasty, well-priced breakfast Relaxed, unhurried vibe Cons: Breakfast hours are seasonal (check before you go) Limited indoor seating and patio Be sure to reserve a table during busy hours, special occasions and holidays If you’re looking for a calm, cozy place to enjoy breakfast with a view in Niagara-on-the-Lake, this spot is a must-try. Definitely one of those local gems more people should know about!

Beer store
Located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake's Old Town heritage district, The Exchange Brewery is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts. Situated on Queen Street, this premium brewery offers a wide array of delicious beers, including staples like New England IPA and Peppercorn Rye Saison, as well as unique rotating taps such as Thai basil brew and apricot wheat.
We hosted our wedding reception at the Exchange Brewery in June 2025 and our experience was top-notch. In the months leading up to the event, Rajat was incredibly helpful with all our questions, and he was on top of all the little details. On the day of the reception, the staff were all very attentive, hardworking, and professional. We ended up having a slight issue with the food we had catered in, but the Exchange staff were all over it and helped me come up with solutions and options. Coming from out of town and not knowing the Niagara-on-the-Lake area too well, that was really appreciated. The brewery was perfect for our party - very central to downtown NOTL, a good amount of seating for our 60ish guests, and great selection of drinks and unique beers. It's a beautiful space (especially on the patio area surrounded by trees) and we got a lot of compliments on the party from our guests. We would definitely recommend the Exchange Brewery to anyone looking for a memorable venue!

It was a disappointing experience for us . There are not much option in the area so we sat than in this place thinking they should have good beer considering it’s a brewery. We ordered the big pitcher and nachos . It was a pilsner but tasted like a bad ipa. Nachos was a big portion but one of the worse I ever tried. Literally boiled chicken thrown on top with zero flavour . Jalapeños had no taste. I won’t recommend this place personally .

What an amazing experience! My husband and I stopped by The Exchange Brewery on a whim after sauntering around NOTL for the morning. We sat upstairs where Hunter was our server. Hunters knowledge of the various beer offerings was vast and helpful as we asked a lot of questions before ordering. The food was delicious and our beer choices were so good we picked up a few bottles to take home with us. We can’t wait to come back!

It’s good… I think the beer was good, with a wide selection. The food was good as well with standard pub fare (with some extras). I think the ambience is okay, they made it a modern - sports bar kind of theme. For a brewery like this I would ordinarily want to see something more personal, less cold. Overall though when in the area if they have availability it’s a good spot to get some drinks and food.

Local brewery on main street NOTL, you won’t miss it. You can have a quick drink for try the beers or dinner at upstairs. Fresh made pizza recommended to pair with their beers. You can walk around their well decorated brewery. They offer tours and patio in summer too.

We had our Korean wedding dinner/ceremony here two weeks ago and from start to finish, was a perfect day. Rajat the manager, helped us with the planning and coordination probably about a year in advance. He helped set the menu, the pricing, the tables/floor set up, the timing/scheduling of the event etc. He might as well have been our wedding planner! So easy and wonderful and friendly to work with. Being from Toronto, all our planning took place via email and he was very responsive and helpful. The day of, him and his entire staff were amazing. One of his staff even wrote the names of the dishes in Korean writing (which my family absolutely loved!!). They just went above and beyond for my family and my husbands family, most of which were visiting from other countries. The staff were so respectful to us and even knew a lot about Korean culture and foods which made my family even more happy. We felt so welcomed and the service was impeccable. Thank you Rajat and team!

We’ve had an amazing client experience at The Exchange Brewery. I met up with my clients at this place and I couldn’t have picked a better place. We had Braeden as our bartender. He made us feel comfortable and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this spot if you happen to be in NOTL.

Very cool spot. Stopped in to have a beer before dinner. We sat at the bar, also munched on some popcorn. I had the apricot ; light & refreshing. I normally don’t drink beer since it makes me feel full but this one was great!

The Old Court House is a historic building located in the heart of the Shaw Festival Theatre. It stands as an iconic landmark with its impressive architecture and rich history. The building also houses the Chamber of Commerce for NOTL, adding to its significance. Visitors can explore this emblematic structure and admire its beauty, especially during winter when it is beautifully lit and decorated for Christmas. Additionally, nearby attractions such as the Memorial Clock Tower and St Vincent de Paul Church offer more to see while wandering around the area.

Bird Kingdom is a must-visit venue in Niagara Falls, offering an unforgettable experience with its diverse collection of birds and reptiles. It boasts the title of the largest free-flying indoor aviary globally, providing a unique opportunity to witness over 400 birds from 80 different species in a multi-level rainforest habitat. This award-winning attraction allows visitors to observe beautiful tropical birds, many of which are endangered in the wild, flying freely within their enclosure.
Bird Kingdom is an absolute must-visit in Niagara Falls! The place is stunning — it feels like stepping straight into a tropical paradise. The highlight of my visit was getting to hold a beautiful parrot and having bright red birds land right in my hands. It was such a magical, unforgettable moment. The variety of birds is incredible, and you can get so close to them in ways you can’t anywhere else. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell they truly care about the animals. Everything was well-kept and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or on your own, Bird Kingdom is an experience that leaves you smiling long after you leave. Highly recommend!

We spent less than an hour here and it was walkable from our hotel so a huge bonus. There are several floors consisting of a variety of museum-type displays, small bird aviaries and select other creatures. The stunner was the actual main aviary itself; saw so much beautiful birds. Favourite was the blue jay, what a spectacle! Buy tickets online in advance to save a few bucks.
ASaa2024 — Google review
This was fun for the whole gang, adults and our children. We had a great time and would definitely come visit again next time we are in the area. Tip for families, leave your jackets in the car because the temperature is set to mimic the birds natural habitats, so it gets hot. If you're wondering whether you should pay extra for the bird feeding experience, yes, you definitely should. So worth it.
Sumbal A — Google review
The Bird Kingdom was such a beautiful experience. We saw birds we didn't even know existed. Nature is fascinating and those birds were so colorful and beautiful. The way they have decorated this aviary was stunning too! Seeing those birds flying around freely was fun and the staff is taking good care of them. I have to say though that if you want to take an option with your entry ticket such as feeding the birds or taking a picture with a bird, the price will be a bit expensive. It cost me around 80$ for my girlfriend and I with the photo with a bird option. But at the end of the day, this is for a good cause. It was worth every penny ! Animal lovers, if you're in Niagara Falls, you need to visit the Bird Kingdom. PS: The parking ain't free.
Tom B — Google review
Out of my weeklong stay at Niagra Falls, this was one of the best stops in my travel. This place offered an up-close encounter with hundreds of birds, some that I've never even heard of. It was wonderful to see the majority of them outside of cages, and each bird was treated with such love and respect that is so inspiring to see. Each worker there knew the birds by name, and you could easily tell they cared deeply for them all. The building itself was 4 story tall aviary with multiple rooms, and massive enclosure with a waterfall. You can easily spend two or more hours here before you even know it. Some sections had other animals including turtles, sugar gliders, and a skunk! I have no clue why others would leave any bad reviews. The place was clean and beautifully maintained, and perfect for families and children. There are restrooms, a gift shop, and a parking lot right at the front entrance. You can pay additional for feedings and pictures, but even with the basic entrance the birds can be found flying all around you. Out of every zoo or bird sanctuary I've ever visited, this was the closest I've ever been to the animals. If we ever come back to this area, this would be my first stop!!
Juli L — Google review
Had a blast of a time at the Bird Kingdom. Was a last minute add on while we were on our trip. Bought tickets online and was fast and easy. From the start to the end, it was fun seeing the history and all the animals (not just birds at the Bird Kingdom). Got passes for the kids to feed the birds and they loved it. Also did the scavenger hunt and the kids had fun looking for all the answers and clues. Definitely would recommend going and explore.
Wazi A — Google review
An amazing experience for the whole family! Highly recommend. Prices are very reasonable. The staff are really knowledgeable and great, and will help you interact with lots of animals, from turtles to parrots. The whole experience is very immersive and each of my kids loved it, especially the bird feeding.
Umar A — Google review
Visited this place in October. The place appears close by from Oakes Garden Theater park but it is a 5 min walk from the major intersection. But it was fun walking under the bridge and seeing the border up close. There is a Presto discount you can get in person and it cost us around 18$ per person. At first we were expecting disappointment as the place was a little cramped and felt claustrophobic. But the shows kept coming. There are three levels, you climb up the levels and watch the exhibits and then you enter the final aviary which was all three floors combined. There were lots, I mean lots of birds and you can experience them close by. If you are a bird photographer, this is your Disneyland! We really enjoyed this place and felt it was a well worth of the money and time. It does feel hot and humid inside (for the birds) so you might get used to the sweating. Have to talk about the bathrooms of the first level, it was like a time travel back to 1950s and using the bathroom. Wonderfully maintained that I had to take a picture of it. Also another gotcha, there are many birds hovering above your heads, so what you think may happen and did happen. Just be cautious what’s above your head :) Would definitely recommend this place for older seniors as there is not much walking or waiting involved. But since the place is tiny, I would not recommend in summer when the crowds are high. May be in winter time or less seasoned weekday would do. Took us about 2 hours to leisurely see this place. Definitely recommend this place.

The restaurant offers farm-to-table cuisine paired with wines produced on-site. With its warm and inviting ambiance, the restaurant has garnered attention from both patrons and critics alike. The menu is thoughtfully curated with seasonal offerings sourced from local farms, forests, and waters.
My visit to Peller Estates Winery and Restaurant was an absolute delight! Thanks to the beautiful weather, simply being there was a wonderful experience in itself. The wines were delicious, and our guide, Johnny, was exceptionally professional and friendly, making the tasting experience truly informative and enjoyable. A particular highlight was the opportunity to sample ice wine in a dedicated special area – that really stood out! Don't forget, the tasting glass you're given is yours to keep after the tour, so make sure to take it home as a souvenir. If you're looking to explore expansive vineyards, enjoy delicious wines, and see a pristine winery, I highly recommend Peller Estates. It's a fantastic place for wine lovers and those looking for a beautiful day out.

We ordered the 5-course tasting menu, each beautifully paired with a glass of wine. Every dish and wine pairing was absolutely delightful — full of flavor and thoughtfully crafted. The service was warm and attentive, which made us feel truly cared for throughout the evening. The setting is simply stunning: dining while overlooking the vast, serene vineyard was such a peaceful and memorable experience. The interior design is equally impressive, especially the striking wall behind the counter, which adds to the charm of the space. Overall, it was an experience filled with joy, beauty, and a deep sense of appreciation — I would love to return again and again.

My husband and I had the opportunity to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary at Peller Estates with our children. The fine dining at The Winery Restaurant was above and beyond expectation from start to finish. Sybille, their lovely hostess, was so kind and welcoming when we arrived. We appreciate her hospitality and kind demeanour. As we were sat, our lovely waitress Julie made our celebration a night to remember. Sparkling wine for my husband and I and two sparkling apple juices for our children (ages 10 and 14). Our 3 course dinner prix fixe meal was divine. We can cannot wait to return next time. I would highly recommend their East Coast Digby Scallop Crudo and their Signature Lobster Linguine. For dessert, their Mille-Feuille were also excellent paired with of course their Signature Series Oak Aged Vidal. Thanks to you Kayla Wall, hospitality manager for ensuring our special night was one to be remembered. Until next time!

I really enjoyed the tour at Peller Winery. It was a great experience to learn more about wines and how they are made, especially since I am not very knowledgeable about wine. The guide was very friendly and willing to explain even the simplest things, which made the visit even better. The wines were delicious and I loved that they gave us the tasting glasses as a gift because they are so pretty. The only downside for me was that the shop prices felt a bit high but overall everything was beautiful and worth the visit.

Peller Estates in Niagara on the Lake is a stunning winery with beautifully maintained grounds and a touch of grandeur. We booked the guided tour, which began a bit slowly outside as we learned about the vineyard’s history and winemaking process. Thankfully, things picked up and became much more engaging as we moved indoors and explored behind the scenes. The highlight was definitely the 10 Below Ice Lounge. It was an unforgettable experience that was really cool 🥶 both literally and metaphoricallyl! They give you large parkas to wear to warm things up a bit. It was such a fun way to end the tour! The wines themselves were enjoyable and reflective of the Niagara region's charm. Overall, it was a memorable experience that started off a little snooze worthy 😴 and finished on a positive note. Highly recommend adding Peller Estates to your Niagara-on-the-Lake wine itinerary!

Established in 1936, the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens is a sprawling European-style garden spanning 40 hectares. It showcases an array of plants from around the globe, including allees, roses, herbs, and vegetables. The site also houses one of Canada's largest conservatories where visitors can observe butterflies up close and partake in educational programs focused on horticulture. Additionally, the gardens offer indoor and outdoor spaces for students to learn about plant life and for families to enjoy nature.
Visiting the Niagara Falls Botanical Gardens was such a lovely experience. The grounds are expansive and beautifully maintained, surrounded by vibrant flowers, majestic trees, and lush greenery at every turn. Within the same area is the Butterfly Conservatory — though it was closed during my visit, it’s definitely on my list for next time. Even without it, the gardens themselves were breathtaking — the perfect spot to stroll, reflect, and capture timeless photos. A truly beautiful place for peaceful walks, weddings, or special occasions.

Nestled in a stately home, the Mackenzie Printery and Newspaper Museum is a historic letterpress museum featuring operational antique presses and a linotype. Located near Queenston Heights, visitors can stumble upon this gem after descending a set of stairs from the Brock Monument. The museum boasts eight operating heritage presses, including the oldest printing press in Canada - the Louis Roy Press. Once a functioning printery, this restored building offers hands-on demonstrations and showcases 500 years of printing technology.
We had a great experience here exploring printing press machines which are late 70-80's. Guides were amazing and kind. If your lucky you might print out your name in customized wanted poster printed by old technology 😁😁

We weren’t sure about seeing the historical sights included in our Niagara Falls Parks Adventure Plus Pass but the Mackenzie Printery peaked our interest so we went and it was worth every minute. Highly recommend you go and take the tour offered. Ask for Anthony, he is the best!!! There is a short tour (approximately 25 minutes) and a long tour (approximately 45 minutes). We started with the short and I think we ended up with the long because it was so awesome. The tour is interactive and hands-on. Our kids printed a Wanted Poster with our name to take home on an old printing press. They also printed bookmarks to take home. We even bought a Christmas ornament so we can remember the best tour of our Niagara Falls vacation. Thanks Anthony.

Nestled between two trees adjacent to Walkers Country Market, the Living Water Wayside Chapel is a delightful gem that has captured hearts since its establishment in 1964. This pint-sized chapel proudly holds the title of the world's smallest chapel, making it an intriguing stop for visitors exploring Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Blink and you’ll miss it, but don’t. This tiny white church is pristinely maintained with ample roadside parking. We couldn’t squeeze inside, it was already full with 6 visitors! So we snapped photos outside and still felt the charm. Perfect pit stop for quirky pictures and a moment of calm. Five stars for upkeep and uniqueness.

Not so crowded and evenings are the best and apple picking nearby is an add-on to your trip. Additionally, you can see a lot of winery farms nearby.

I enjoyed visiting this small church it’s very lovely. There are benches enough to fit 6 people, a Bible, donation box, Brochures and a notebook to write down your name, where you’re visiting from and anything that’s on your mind. It’s well kept, clean and there is parking. I recommend visiting either to pray, read the Bible, feel connected to God or simply for the history of the church. It is one of the smallest churches in the world after all.
Ashley G — Google review
This is probably a must-see attraction in the Niagara region😍The smallest church in the world⛪——The living water wayside chapel⛪ It is the smallest church in the world that is still open to the public⛪. It is no different from other churches⛪ except for its small size. You can worship and pray here🙏🏻, and even hold a special and romantic ceremony here. Wedding💒(If you hold a wedding here💒, you also need to make an appointment in advance. Why is it special to hold a wedding here? Because if you hold a wedding here, you can receive a special commemorative certificate issued by the local department.) There are only a few rows of double seats inside the entire church, which can accommodate no more than 12 people at most. Although it is small, it is really well-equipped and not small as it should be. This is what makes it special. 😎 ⏰About the opening hours: In fact, it does not have specific opening hours, but it is basically open if you go during the day, because it is right on the roadside, so please feel free to go. ⏰ 🎫About church tickets: This is free🆓 to visit, no tickets are required, and no advance reservation is required. 🎫 🚘About transportation: 1️⃣If you start from the Great Falls, there is no bus, but you can buy shared bicycles over there🚲. I see that many people come here on shared bicycles🚵🏻‍♂️, and the one-way trip is about 20 kilometers. (It’s very comfortable to ride along the Niagara River from the Great Falls, because it has a separate cycling lane, and the scenery along the way is also great. I really recommend riding here slowly. 👍🏻) 2️⃣Self-driving, it takes about 20 minutes to drive from the waterfall. Parking🅿️Just park directly behind this church⛪, it's free. 🚘 🏞️About the vicinity of the church: There is a farm next to and behind the church, where you can buy fresh produce or pick peaches🍑, strawberries🍓, apples🍎, grapes🍇 and other seasonal fruits. (The ice cream here🍦 is also good, most of the ingredients come from their own farm.)🏞️ ⚠️The church⛪ is on the way to Niagara on the lake. If you go to the town of Niagara, remember to enter the navigation 📍 in advance on the map 🗺️, then you will not miss this special church ⛪! ⚠️
Hugo K — Google review
The smallest church in Canada. Truly small ☺️, only has five seats.

This quaint chapel is a must-see with an option for capturing its charm in a photo. It's fascinating to encounter such a small church on the way to Niagara Falls. Fortunately, photography is permitted, allowing you to explore its interior. While the inside offers limited attractions like a visitor's book and tiny pews, it's noteworthy that only 3 or 4 people can be accommodated at once. Make sure to sign the visitor's guest book for a captivating experience.

The town itself, with its population of 17,500 people, is a serene escape from the bustling cities of Toronto and Niagara Falls.
The museum is well organized and holds many recovered relics, in spite of the many items that would have been destroyed over the years. There are two levels to the museum and it includes a small gift area. Parking for an RV is a challenge as most of the limited street parking is taken up early in the day. Parking for RVs is more spacious in nearby Veterans Park, which works if you don't mind doing a bit of walking.

It’s okay for the price ($5 as of today), but it feels like it lacks storytelling or a cohesive theme. The exhibits seem a bit scattered, and a stronger narrative could make the experience more engaging and immersive.

Small however pretty positive and curious local museum to discover life of area founders! Recommended!

One of the oldest local history museums in Canada. Beautiful building and a very well curated collection. They are expanding into the property next door which should allow them to display even more of their expansive collection. Very nice staff. Worth a stop in during a visit to NOTL!

I didn't know that NOTL had a museum. We went when it was open doors. I enjoyed the tour, and hearing about some local history. I absolutely loved history through the ERAS, a take on Taylor Swift lyrics. Absolutely genius.

Located inside the Historic Old Town, Niagara on the Lake Museum offers the rich history of the whole Niagara region. Would recommend to visit it during the weekdays because sometimes you explore the place all by yourself. Admission is 5 dollars for adults.

I have visited Niagara-on-the-Lake many times, saw the sign for the museum, but drove right by. This time I decided to follow the sign and discovered this lovely museum located in an old house with beautiful gardens. Outside there is a rose Bush called "1812" as well as a terrace with historical cutouts. Inside there is a lovely small gift store as well as historical exhibits of clothes, items and a dress up section for kids. Now they are highlighting when the Polish trained in NOTL around the 1st world war. Highlight for me was to see the hat that Sir Issac Brock wore.

Fort Mississauga and Mississauga Point Lighthouse National Historic Sites are a must-visit for history enthusiasts. The box-shaped brick fortress, constructed during the War of 1812, is nestled within earthworks on a picturesque golf course. This well-preserved fort offers visitors a glimpse into its historical significance and unique octagonal architecture. Additionally, the nearby Mississauga Beach provides a scenic walk along Lake Ontario and serves as home to this historical landmark.
It’s quiet, historic, and has this beautiful mix of nature and old stone walls. We had our wedding photos taken here by Photos by Amna and she made the most of the light and scenery. The shots turned out so natural and timeless. Highly recommend both the spot and her work!

A little piece of history with some fun information about the War of 1812. It is small and doesn't take long to see, but is just a short walk from the road. You have to walk through a golf course to get there, which is probably very awkward during golf season. The other option is from a path along the beach, but the walk will be longer to get there.
Shawn M — Google review
Walking distance from the Main Street in Niagara on the lake. Shows the history… definitely worth the visit. Going there in the evening closer to sunset adds some charm to this place.
Hamed — Google review
It’s surreal to see, tucked in behind an active golf course and impressive to enter as it’s not locked behind a gate. Wander the grounds (as small as they are) and squint your ears, legend says you’ll hear the cries of soldiers but the fort was built after the war and never saw any action so listen to the water lapping the shores of the lake instead and tell your friends you heard ghosts.
Jeremy D — Google review
Have to yield to golfers to walk to it. Not a huge issue. Uneventful for the most part other than you can see a few cities from the point. Toronto looks pretty cool at a distance, wasn’t expecting to be able to see it. Otherwise everything has bars and you can just walk around the outside.

Another National Historic Site checked off! Fort Mississauga is worth a visit if you are at Niagara-on-the-Lake, as it is not too far from the Historic Old Town. This building is full of history and you will definitely enjoy knowing its story and the strategic value it held. I especially enjoyed the views with the fort and the lake side-by-side. The building has recently gone through a renovation in 2020 - 2021, and a walking trail was constructed leading to the shoreline. This is why the building is now in much better shape with the walls intact. A new roof has also been installed on top. I hope one day we could see what is inside or have tours at certain times in the week. Winter is a bit harder to come by as the trails are not maintained.
Kevin C — Google review
Great short walk, to a fun fort with a great view. Wish i could have seen inside though!
Paqman — Google review
Not much to see but I believe that the building is rich with History. I hope I would someday see what's inside the building since it was closed when I have visited it. Place is almost hidden and I though at first that it's not accessible since it is located inside a golf club. Place is serene though and not much people are in the area. You can also see the view of Lake Ontario along the walkway and view deck.

Located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada, Butler's Barracks National Historic Site is a significant historical landmark dating back 200 years to the War of 1812. This historic military complex served as a storage facility during the war and has since been utilized for various purposes by the Canadian military. The site is easily accessible from Mary Street or via a trail from Fort George.
Nice open space between Fort George and Niagara on lake. Watched fire works from Fort George, on Canada day. Interesting historical buidings. Did not realize how extensive the military presence was back in the 19th century.

The buildings are in good shape. The historical notices are informative. It's all very low key. There are public bathrooms at the recreation building just East through a small forest. I go there regularly for the 60% of The Commons set aside for leash-free dog walking. The Commons is surrounded by a paved, tree-shaded walkway.

It's basically a large field with a few remaining fort buildings that you can't access. It's mostly used by joggers and locals. These pics are of the annual Scout Brigade.

It's very interesting when you find out more about this location. It's free parking and free to view. Unfortunately you can't enter any of the buildings but it's still a great piece of history.

Embark on an exhilarating adventure with Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours, one of the most thrilling activities at Niagara Falls. This 45-minute heart-pumping experience takes you through the powerful rapids and whirlpools of the Niagara River. You'll be equipped with a lifejacket and have the option to choose between getting completely soaked or staying dry during this adrenaline-pumping ride.
We had high expectations going into the Jet Boat Whirlpool experience — and somehow, it still blew us away! The entire ride was thrilling, packed with adrenaline, stunning views, and pure fun, but what truly made it stand out was the incredible hostess on board. She was cheerful, energetic, and so genuinely welcoming that she added an extra layer of excitement to the day. From the moment we stepped on, she set a fun and positive vibe, making sure everyone felt comfortable and hyped up for the adventure. Her jokes, warmth, and enthusiasm weren’t just part of the job — you could tell she loved being there, and that energy was contagious. The whirlpool rapids were a jaw-dropping experience, but I can honestly say the hostess elevated it from “amazing” to “unforgettable.” If you’re on the fence about booking — don’t be. This was beyond worth it, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

What a blast!! We did this on 7/23/25 at 2:30pm and we couldn’t have picked the better time and weather was perfect. You really really get drenched anywhere you sit so just be ready to get wet. They have lockers where you can store your valuables for free and they also have change rooms you can use after the boat ride. Facility is kept clean and staff was super friendly! Highly recommended☺️ additional note 📝 - if you do not get wet, I mean WET, do not go on this! I expected to get wet but we got completely soaked and submerged into water!! 😆🤣🤩 like you get to be under and In the wave of water for a second. I have NEVER experienced the water hit your face that hard! It is SO MUCH FUN. If you want to do second time, they offer it at 50 percent off!

If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure while visiting Niagara Falls, look no further than the Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour! From start to finish, this experience is pure adrenaline, and I can't recommend it enough! Vinny and Jason were absolutely incredible. Vinny’s energy was contagious—he hyped us up the moment we boarded, making sure we were all ready for an exhilarating ride. He’s the kind of guide that gets you excited about every twist and turn, and his enthusiasm set the tone for the entire trip. Jason, our captain, was an absolute legend behind the wheel. He drove that boat like a NASCAR driver—smooth, fast, and with precision! We were flying over the waves, feeling the rush of the water and the wind in our faces, and it was all thanks to his skill and expertise. At times, it felt like we were on a roller coaster but with the added thrill of being on the water! The speed, the splash, the whole experience was a *do not miss* event when you’re in Niagara Falls. Whether you're seeking thrills or just looking to experience the beauty of the area from a whole new perspective, this is the tour you want to take. It's the perfect balance of heart-pounding excitement and natural beauty, and Vinny and Jason made it absolutely epic! Highly recommend—this was the highlight of our trip!

I highly recommend! This is definitely a great attraction for any age young or old!! I do suggest if you are sitting on the outside of the boat bring an extra change of clothing 😬 they do sell clothing and towels at the little kiosk if you happen to forget. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime
Stephanie C — Google review
We just went on the last tour of the night with Chris (guide) and Adam (our captain). Overall it was a really nice experience and we would absolutely do it again. They even informed us that if we came back within 24 hours we would get 50% off a return repeat trip. Had we been able to move the next days plans we would have. Let’s start with - everyone is going to get wet. We went with littler kids so we were in row 5 and still were plenty drenched! The only real drawback is I think our expectation didn’t necessarily align with the product. There was lots of talking and only a few actual loops or runs into the water… maybe a dozen or so in the 45 min trip. I think we expected it to be more consistently jet boat adventure - whereas it was probably 80% boating and Chris chatting and playing music and 20%adventure jet boating actually getting wet. We just expected more of the adventure part, but that’s clearly not the agenda. For those more curvy people, note that the ponchos provided are small, so if you are above an XL, bring your own - or just wear your bathing suit and embrace the drenching! I’m a 3x and was a little sausage in the poncho. You can buy a video of your experience for $50. If you had a big group it’s definitely a fun memory - we didn’t get it. There are bathrooms and changing rooms at check-in, along with a gift shop where you can buy any gear you might want or have forgotten. Don’t forget to bring your towel and change of clothes - as everyone is going to be wet. While my top stayed pretty dry from the poncho my bottoms were soaked as we were sitting in inches of water after the big waves. The first 4 rows will be heavily drenched, the remaining rows will all get wet but not weighty wet. We worn goggles and greatly enjoyed being able to see the rapids as we whirled through them. Glasses and hats would definitely be ripped off in the waves crashing in in the first few rows, so be prepared with a string for any glasses you have if you don’t take them off. Honestly - we’d do it again with adjusted reality vs expectations. All of the staff was lovely! The girl who checked us in, Shawnita, was super helpful and answered all our questions and found answers when she didn’t know. All the staff who handed out life vests or picked them up were personable and warm. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re nearby!! We did note that reservations are suggested. While we were able to buy tickets upon arrival (we’re terrible at keeping a schedule), the tour time we could have made on arrival was sold out to a group so we waited around for an hour. Wasn’t bad - and glad we didn’t buy them early because of our personal lack of keeping on time to things - but if there is a time you really want to go and are better at being on time to things, then definitely book ahead!!
Courtney O — Google review
The trip was AWESOME. I went in a little nervous and expecting to get rocked in the boat, but it ended up being a BLAST! Our tour guide was Chris and he was such an energetic and witty guy. He definitely made the trip lots more fun. The tour itself was great as well. Getting to see the rapids from the water level is so humbling due to how massive the rapids are and how strong the current is. It was definitely a different perspective of the river. Going over the rapids was SO much fun! You get absolutely DRENCHED no matter what you do. After the ride, we got T-shirts to remember the experience. It was truly amazing and underrated. 100% recommend doing this, even over the Maid of the Mist tour.
Brayden K — Google review
Great experience and lots of funn. Book the open boat tour to get the full effect of the speed and agility of the boat. You will get wet so bring the spare clothes, but if you forget you can always buy a set in their gift shop. We had an amazing experience.
Suzana M — Google review
The jet boat tour itself was an amazing experience. Exciting, fun, and definitely worth trying. The staff were super friendly and made everything smooth and enjoyable. The only big downside was the changing/dressing rooms and washrooms. They were incredibly dirty and honestly pretty disgusting, which really took away from the overall experience. If the facilities were cleaned and maintained better, this would easily be a 5-star adventure.

Experience the power and beauty of the largest rapids in North America at White Water Walk, located just four kilometers downstream of Niagara Falls. After a quick elevator ride, visitors can stroll along a wooden boardwalk that runs alongside the river through the narrow Niagara Gorge, offering stunning views of rock layers dating back over 400 million years.
Absolutely loved this spot! The White Water Walk is such a peaceful and underrated experience in Niagara Falls. You get to stroll right alongside the insanely powerful rapids of the Niagara River — the water’s speed and strength are just unreal when you see it that close. The boardwalk is super clean and well-maintained, and it’s not crowded like the main Falls area, so you can actually take your time and enjoy the views. The sound of the rushing water and the mist in the air make it feel almost unreal. It’s a short walk but totally worth it — great for photos, relaxing, or just taking a break from the busier attractions. Highly recommend this if you want something calm but still incredibly scenic. Definitely a must-do in Niagara! 🌊💙

White Water Walk is one of the most peaceful yet awe-inspiring experiences in Niagara. The boardwalk takes you right beside the Class 6 rapids, and the sheer power of the water is incredible to witness up close. The pathway is well maintained, easy to walk, and offers plenty of great photo spots. It’s a quieter attraction compared to the main Falls area, which makes it perfect if you want to enjoy nature without the big crowds. The sound of the rushing water and the views along the gorge make it a really refreshing experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Niagara — a short, scenic, and unforgettable walk! 🌊📸

The White Water Walk offers a beautiful and refreshing experience. From the manmade wooden boardwalk, you get an up-close view of the turbulent, emerald-green Niagara River as it rushes through the narrow gorge. The naturally eroded rock formations add a scenic and calming element to the walk. The short tunnel from the elevator to the boardwalk adds a nice touch to the overall experience. While there is some waiting time for the elevator both going down and back up, it’s manageable. There’s also a souvenir shop at the exit where you can pick up gifts and memorabilia. Overall, a pleasant and worthwhile experience, especially for nature lovers and those looking for a peaceful walk with stunning views.

It's a beautiful short walk just the entrance fee seems to be a bit much for what you get. (Also the reason for the 3* rating) Still happy we did it and I can cross it off my list now. Nice views. Sadly the platform closest to the river was closed off. The selfie point is useless couldn't find my picture but was offered (online by the system) to download other people's pictures. Very questionable in my opinion. Would recommend going early when the sunlight still hits the water giving you the most vibrant colours The wait was long. Clean area. Wheelchair and stroller mostly accessible - exceptions are the lookout platforms.

Walking through the White Water Walk was one of the most peaceful yet powerful experiences I’ve had. The sound of the rushing water, the cool breeze, and being so close to the rapids made me feel connected to nature in a whole new way. The boardwalk gives you incredible views of the whitewater and the sheer force of the river is just amazing to witness up close. It’s one of those experiences that pictures just don’t do justice you really have to see and feel it for yourself. I highly recommend it if you’re visiting Niagara Falls.

Walk was nice, but short.. 1 elevator for a bunch of people gets very crowded. Not sure if white water walk gives free parking, but we had to pay the expensive price of $8/ per hour! Staff were nice, lineup to go back up the elevator is very long… Overall a good experience just the elevator thing is very complicated and crowded

We recently visited White Water Walk and it was absolutely beautiful! The view of the rapids was breathtaking — watching the power and intensity of the water up close was truly mesmerizing. It’s a peaceful and scenic experience, and a great spot to take in the raw natural beauty of Niagara. A must-visit if you’re looking for a more tranquil and awe-inspiring stop in Niagara Falls!

We stopped here for lunch after visiting Niagara Falls. The patio is large and inviting and dog-friendly, the music not too loud for conversation. There are plenty of servers. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. We ordered the roast beef sandwich and the steak and onion pie. The food was good, hot and well presented, and seemed fairly priced. The beer was cold and included some local selections, which I always appreciate. We enjoyed this stop.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch after being told by friends that we had to go to this 200 year old restaurant and sit in the back outdoor patio. It was magical location and the food was fantastic. Jen our server was so nice and took great care of us. The fish and chips were delicious and I had the shepherds pie wish the darkest Gueness gravy you ever seen. After we ate we found out that they had live music from 2-5 so we sat and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon drink and entertainment. I would highly recommend stopping in and taking a break from walking the Niagara on the lake shops.

My mom and I stopped in the other day while visiting a few shops downtown because she's been there many times and really enjoys it! Her and my dad have rented rooms, listened to bands and enjoyed the food! I was excited to try it with her but was met with a bit of disappointment. The service was great! Both the woman who served us and the man who brought our food over were very friendly and the service was fast! The issue lies within what we ordered. We got the sausage rolls thinking we could share a few and have a couple drinks. The mustard, really good. The sausage rolls were not. There was 4 fairly small rolls. Were an English family so we like our sausage rolls but these were unlike any we've ever had. Typically they're made with ground sausage meat, these were just a whole sausage wrapped in a bit of a pastry. We both agreed they were more like a pig in a blanket as opposed to an English sausage roll. I do look forward to returning with her in the future to try more items as they've been there many times and this was the first dud she's had! I just wanted to voice my opinion on the rolls but also be clear that the pub itself is awesome, true pub vibes and the staff I met was amazing! And I'm sure the rest of the food is great, we just would opt out of the sausage rolls next time personally! I had 2 bottles of budweiser and she had 1 pint of an Irish beer(i think), and the total for that + the 4 sausage rolls was around $56 before tip

We had a wonderful late lunch yesterday. Meghan our server was just glowing and beyond great! She was very down to earth, lovely, kind, fun, yet professional. She gave her recommendations for her favourites and why… Meghan had perfect timing for everything. She gave us ample time to sample our selections before returning to see how everything was tasting As well as to make sure we received everything we had ordered. I mention this because the server that delivered our food to the table forgot my side of gravy. My food was still warm and enjoyable when she returned with the forgotten item. The food was delicious and memorable. My other half had the fisherman’s pie which was decadent and I had the roast beef dip which sent me back to a moment when I worked at a place called Vicky’s pork and beef in Welland. It tasted exactly the same and was savoury and delicious! What a delicious experience thank you Meghan!

We were seated in the beautiful garden at the back, which added a magical touch to our meal. The ambiance is truly one-of-a-kind, blending history, nature, and warmth. The food was outstanding! We tried the fish and chips, meatloaf, steak & Guinness onion pie, and the fisherman’s pie — every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was equally impressive; our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique dining experience with amazing food and atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

From the very beginning, our experience at Ravine Winery was amazing. As soon as we arrived, a lovely lady welcomed us and guided us through the wine tasting, taking the time to explain how everything worked. The supervisor also stepped in to assist, and we were so impressed when she mentioned that the First Lady hadn’t even clocked in yet. We felt terrible we didn’t catch her name to thank her properly. Kyle was fantastic in explaining and suggesting wines, making the tasting even more enjoyable. Afterward, we had lunch, and the experience got even better thanks to Michelle, who was so understanding and helpful throughout. To finish, we explored the little farm with pigs, goats, and chickens, which was such a charming touch to the day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Pretty. Super service, some great tasting wines can be had along with hummus and/or a variety of 3 cheeses (Brie, goat’s cheese and another hard artisanal cheese) with smokey mustard, sweet pickled onions and Maple syrup. Wine tasting can also be accompanied by other snacks such as potato chips etc. Full lunch menu is also available. Great views of the vineyard - not particularly extensive but gives you a feel of wine country nonetheless. Great afternoon out!

Ravine is my favorite winery in the NOTL region and has been for years! Located in St Davids, the wines are fabulous, the grounds are beautiful, and the service is outstanding. Utkaresh helped us on this visit and he was awesome describing the wines and ensuring we had everything we needed to have a great experience They have a small seating area inside to enjoy your flight or a large patio area outside. They offer charcuterie boards, hummus and other small snacks. There is also a bakery and full restaurant on premise (note the 3 all operate differnt hours) Their tasting flight allows you to pick 4 wines from their offerings. They have a wide range of wines *4 sparkling in both brut and charmat styles, 9 whites, 1 rose, 7 reds, and 1 ice wine were available. We shared 3 flights and a glass of ice wine so we tried 13 of their offerings and enjoyed all of them. My favorites were the sparklers, rose and oaked chardonay. This is a MUST stop on your NOTL visit My rating rationale for beer, wine, or spirits: +1 Service +1 Atmosphere/Vibe +1 Taste/Quality (Flavor, aroma, and overall quality of the beverage) +1 Presentation (Glassware, garnishes, and visual appeal of the drinks) +1 Selection/Variety (Range of beer, wine, or spirit options and uniqueness of offerings

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great place to visit! Amazing service — truly beyond expectations. The staff was friendly, the wine selection had great taste and variety, and the cheese tray was absolutely delicious. Everything was quite pocket-friendly compared to other wineries. What impressed me most was their attention to detail — they happily accommodated my food sensitivities and provided gluten-friendly crackers at no extra cost! Our server, Shennel, was exceptional and made the experience even better. A lovely spot for everyone — even kids can enjoy snacks and sodas from the Greenhouse and play in the huge open field within their parents’ sight while the adults relax and enjoy the wines. Highly recommended! 🍷🧀🌿

After having a number of fantastic wine and dining experiences at Ravine we decided to celebrate our wedding at Ravine Vineyard this August and it was the best decision ever! This venue is like no other and we couldn't have asked for a better experience and a more beautiful day. The venue aesthetically is stunning and feels both upscale but also relaxed. The food and drink is of a very high quality and the patios and event spaces are bright, spacious and very welcoming! In the weeks leading up to our big day our planner (Abby) was helpful, responsive and really put our minds at ease. She was extremely accommodating with requests and provided some thoughtful recommendations throughout the process. Abby and the day of coordinator work with all our vendors on the day and and overall it was such a relaxing day. Most of our guests traveled from abroad and it was clear to us they were very impressed with everything that Ravine brought to our day. Overall a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Ravine for a celebratory event or special occasion!

We stopped in on a quiet Wednesday and had an amazing view of the vineyard. Tons of shaded seating outside but also a cute indoor tasting room as well. A wide variety of wines including some amazing bold reds. The whole selection of wines tended towards being more dry which I greatly appreciate. Staff were friendly and helpful! Highly recommend this winery!

This was our fifth winery in two days and wow what a pleasant surprise! Warm and inviting atmosphere! Loved the seating area…a lot of space to gather. The view of the vineyard is spectacular. Victoria was of great assistance providing us with history and knowledge of the winery. This is the winery that sold me on white wine. I am not a white wine drinker, but when I tasted the Patricia Block Riesling , I was sold! This wine tasted so magical! Then another that I sampled was the Riesling ice wine which again Is something that I have not enjoyed in many years. My colleagues had ordered this as part of their wine flight of testing but I had not. Victoria thought to bring me a sample of the Riesling ice wine with the thought that I may change my mind on ice wine. This Riesling ice wine was pure silk, the liquid just sat on my tongue with just the right sweetness! It was just a wow moment. Thank you so much, Victoria. I cannot wait to sit with my husband and enjoy these Rieslings.

Wayne Gretzky Estates is a renowned winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake that offers more than just wine. It also produces Canadian whiskies, spirits, and beer. The estate provides various experiences such as seated wine tastings, distillery tastings, tours, seasonal events, and even ice skating on their rink. Visitors can enjoy the large free parking area and capture memories at the wooden archway entrance.
My wife and her cousin and I went on the whisky tour then ate on the patio at the wine tasting area. The night before, I had picked up my wife and cousin after they spent the afternoon there. The staff kept saying, “welcome back”. lol Confession: I’m more of a whisky enthusiast and foodie than I am a hockey fan. I’m happy to report that I’m definitely a Wayne Gretzky fan after eating and Drinking at his establishment!!! The food was delicious and I was really impressed by the quality of the whisky they produce. No. 99 will be regular stop on our future visits to the area.

Fantastic pizza, delicous cold drinks..... From the second we came here we were greeted by the friendliest staff. Food service was super fast and the food was delicious. ( smoked meat pizza ) is my recommendation. It was perfect ❤ After a great lunch we all did a tour of the distillery..... A huge shout-out to LIAM! ( our tour guide ) what an amazing character, funny and extremely knowledgeable. Made the tour and the end of the afternoon so much fun. The tour was great, tried some delicious drinks and came out of there buying a bottle of the vanilla liqueur and a bottle of #99 whisky sour . Amazing place to spend a whole day eating, drinking and laughing. Can't wait to come back! Thank you Wayne Gretzky Estates! Wonderful memories have been made here.

We visited Wayne Gretzky Estates for a tasting in the Club Room and had such a great time. Our server, Lisa, was fantastic! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and really made the experience feel special. The tasting itself was excellent, and to top it off we ended with a round of cocktails. The highlight was a fun little murder mystery game that actually earned us a free cocktail for our next visit. Such a unique and memorable touch! Can’t wait to come back.

Wayne Gretzky Estates Niagara-on-the-Lake is unlike any winery I’ve ever been to! The atmosphere was so relaxed and genuinely family-friendly, which is something I’ve never experienced on a wine tour before. It almost felt like a big park in the back, where adults could sip wine and cocktails while kids played and enjoyed the space. The shop was really cool, filled with classic hockey photos and Gretzky memorabilia. I loved the casual, upbeat vibe of the whole place. There’s also a restaurant on-site, which I didn’t get a chance to try this time, but it looked great. I heard there’s even a skating rink in the winter, which sounds amazing! Overall, it was alive, happening, and just a fun place to be, especially for families.

Fun tour to do while in niagara on the lake. The tasting was enjoyable trying red and white wine along with their famous whiskey and whiskey cream. Delicious! They also provided a discount on bottles at the shop after completion of the tour. The restaurant was also pretty good just wish it had abit more shade.

We have come many times and has almost become a tradition to stop here at Wayne Gretzky's to pay homage to the great one and to stock up some of his wines. Today we did a tasting and really liked the ice wine and whiskey . The beauty of doing a taste and gives you a discount at the store!
DR. T — Google review
Canadian wine isn't really my thing, but I enjoyed a pleasant enough visit to Wayne Gretzky Estate winery on a recent trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake. The wine is downright bad (I am sorry to say this, but I would call it completely undrinkable), but the grounds and setting of the winery is top notch. Wayne knows what the people want, and he delivers - just not in the category of tasty wine. The winery itself is modern and welcoming. As a hockey fan, I especially appreciated all of the memorabilia of Wayne's record-breaking days as a professional athlete in the NHL. Take some time to browse so you can see it all. Also, be sure to check out the well-curated gift shop, which features some cute hockey and wine themed merchandise. We arrived in the evening without a reservation, and luckily the hostess said she could find a space for us. The tasting room was very busy, but we had a high top table for two. I noticed the clientele was mostly female / groups of women who looked like those "see and be seen" type of ladies, all decked out in designer shoes and handbags with perfect makeup and hair. This is a great place for a girls' night out, with its welcoming yet chic atmosphere. We opted for two different tastings from the menu so we could have a nice variety of wines. We chose a range from white, reds, and dessert wines, and there was absolutely nothing to our liking. We were also hungry and I was delighted they had a modest food menu (we ordered the warm baguette with whipped maple whisky butter for $10) which was tasty enough, if not Earth shattering). The tasting itself was just okay. The service was prompt and our knowledgeable hostess answered all of our questions (but wasn't much on small talk). The major problem I had is that she was doused in stinky perfume. This is a huge no-no at a winery, and whenever she came by to check on us or to deliver something to a nearby table, all I could smell was her perfume. It's not that it smelled rank or anything, but it really did interfere with the taste of the wine. The wines were very low quality, and I couldn't bring myself to take more than two tastes of each one. I guess if I had to drink something it would be the dessert wine, which was creamy yet the overpowering maple is definitely an acquired taste. Note that tastings are pricey and bottles are as well. There's a separate bar for tasting spirits and a stunning outdoor patio area if you want to come and hang a while. I'd definitely return here for the grounds and setting alone, but I'm going to pass on the wine.

The Floral Clock is a popular and well-established destination featuring a large clock face created with vibrant flowerbeds. Situated near the Centennial Lilac Gardens, this impressive display boasts 16,000 bedding plants that are changed twice a year. The clock's mechanism can be viewed by visitors when the tower door is open, along with historical photos showcasing its designs dating back to the 1950s.
Our bus tour stopped here in the afternoon. What a unique and beautiful attraction! They change out the flowers twice a year for the season. The huge clock hands move over the flowers on the “face” of the clock. The bell tower chimes every 15 minutes.

Such a lovely surprise! We had a chill picnic right beside this beautifully manicured giant clock, and it made for the perfect backdrop. The nearby monuments added a nice historic touch to the visit, and the pond at the foot of the clock? Full of koi fish gliding around like they were putting on a show. Peaceful, scenic, and a great spot to slow down and enjoy the moment. Highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area!

Amazing. Enjoyed a quick stop & be able to enjoy a living history. The flowers are just gorgeous! Look around the back of it & you’ll see the different arrangement/design they have planted throughout the years.

We were worried that no more flowers by the time we visit( thanksgiving - 2025 ) . But its still in full bloom. Love how the clock rings every 15 min. There is a trail to walk or bike , we walked 3 km to reach this spot. D

Beautiful landmark and such a cool photo spot! The Floral Clock is one of those classic Niagara attractions you just have to see in person — it’s huge, colourful, and the floral designs change every season, which makes it even more special. 🌸🕒 The area around it is super peaceful and well-maintained, and it’s a quick stop right along the Niagara Parkway, perfect for photos or a short break during sightseeing. You can even hear the clock chime and see the gears working through the glass window behind it — pretty fascinating! It doesn’t take long to visit, but it’s definitely worth the stop. Great example of how simple and beautiful Niagara Parks keeps everything looking. Totally a must-see when you’re exploring the area! 🌼📸

Nice and unique place a floral arrangement clock running on original products from 1960 it’s free to visit it’s located in the last tourist attractive part of Niagara Falls so even though some crowds are there it’s not as bad as like on theclassic spots From this point you can go on to see different parks and Power stations so if you’re in the neighbourhood or are you tourist It’s definitely worth your time Also don’t forget to go around the clock to see the mechanism.

A charming little stop in the heart of Edinburgh. The floral clock is one of those quirky attractions that makes yousmile the moment you see it. The design is beautifully arranged and incredibly detailed. it's impressive how much work goes into creating a fully functioning clock out of flowers. When the blooms are at their peak, the colours are vibrant and make for great photos. It is a pretty visit, and it's definitely more of a "pause and admire" moment than a full activity. I'd recommend coming during late spring or summer; outside of that, the display isn't always at best. Still, it's unique and it's located right within the lovely princes Street Gardens, so it fits perfectly into a relaxed walk through the city.

A good surprise! I was thinking "they are a LCBO wine" but I discoreved that exclusive labels here. I tasted the best ice wine until now in my tour (4 wineries). The best knowledge of the world with Yvonne in the shop. She teached me many tips to taste and make Wonderful cooktails. It wasn't my intention but I left the place with a ice wine and a good sparkling to repeat this experience in my home. Congratulations Yvonne and Jackson-Triggs.

Delicious wine and average food in a beautiful setting. Ordered the porkbelly sandwich which was not properly trimmed as there was more fat than meat. The sandwich eventually disintegrated as it was so greasy and I ended up using a knife and fork to finish. When our server asked how our food was and we mentioned the amount of fat, the server only replied sorry about that. When our table was being cleared, a different staff member asked how how lunch was and when we mentioned the amount of fat (and showed the left over fat on the plate), he also just said sorry and indicated that pork belly is like that. In hind sight, I should have asked for a little bowl of pork to replace the fat, but that is on me and a lesson learned for the future. Definitely a great place to have a drink, service was friendly (maybe unsure of handle issues).

it had been several years since we last travelled to this area to take in 1 of their amazing 'Twilight in the vineyard' concerts & it did not disappoint as we watched opener Tarra Lightfoot & headliner Matt Anderson perform on last Fridays starry night. Visited November 16th. I came here by myself on a solo getaway, and I am so glad I did. First off i get a perk through my work at Jackson-Triggs, so I thought I would use it. First off, When I walked in, I felt welcomed by the two ladies at the Front (sorry i forget their names) But they were lovely and welcoming. They explained what I can get with my perk, and they recommendation of the Bang Bang Shrimp in the restaurant, and I always take up people on their recommendations. I went into the restaurant and ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp (AMAZING SNACK) and the flight of 2 wines and an Ice Wine. My Server, Lexi was lovely. She was bubbly, attentivement, knew her stuff and actually wanted to be there for work. She Made great recommendations for the wine. I am very happy that I stopped by and I will be sure to be back and bring my family. Thank you Jackson-Triggs

My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary trip to Niagara, and even our Uber driver told us how popular this place was, he said he brings people here all the time, so I was already super excited! When we arrived, Stevie welcomed us right away, and even though I had booked the wrong date 😅, he was so kind and accommodating. He still managed to set us up for a tour without any issue. Our tour guide, Doug, honestly made the entire experience unforgettable. He was super chill, funny, and so knowledgeable. The tour felt really personal, and he made sure we had time to take pictures and enjoy every part of it, he was incredibly patient with us. Later on, we also met Nick, who was just as amazing, so friendly, cheerful, and welcoming! Overall, this was a 10/10 experience and one of the biggest highlights of our trip. If you plan on doing a tour, if you can, definitely request Doug to be your tour guide, he’s the best! Oh, and don’t skip the ice wine, it’s delicious!

Inniskillin Wines, located in the Niagara estate, is a renowned winery known for its exceptional ice wines and breathtaking views. Tastings are available for a fee, offering an opportunity to savor their high-quality wines. For a more exclusive experience or group visits, it's advisable to arrange in advance. The winery also offers a delectable food menu featuring various dishes to complement the wine tasting experience.
Had a great time visiting Inniskillin! It was our first time coming here and we were very impressed. The property is beautiful. There's an area for the restaurant as well as the winery - which is what we came for. The wine selection is fantastic! You can order per glass or try one of their sampling options that give you multiple drinks. The showstopper was the Icewine! Wow! Absolutely delicious. The staff is great and super helpful. We didn't feel rushed or silly asking questions about the wine. Inside the winery, they have a nice size retail area with all the wines available for purchase as well as other gift type items. Would definitely recommend Inniskillin if you're touring the area! Grab a glass or flight and enjoy a beautiful day outside on the property.

They offer an impressive selection of wines, and I had the chance to sample some truly great ones during our tasting. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. My pup and I had a wonderful visit to Inniskillin Wines. The property is beautifully maintained with plenty of seating options—tables and lounge chairs outside, plus air-conditioned indoor seating that was perfect on a hot day. I especially appreciated how dog-friendly the staff and winery are, both inside and out. I did a tasting of all three ice wines, which costs $40, and learned a lot about their production. If you spend over $50 on wines, then you get $10 off your tasting. Although we didn’t have time to eat, the atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, making it easy to see why this winery has such a great reputation.

The reputable Inniskillin Winery is worth a visit. An hour long tour with wine tasting cost $30, on a first come first serve basis. The tour ticket gets you a $10 discount on any wine purchase. We visited today and found out that their signature Gold Vidal Icewine was on sale with $10 off. Along with the $10 discount from the tour, with a total of $20 discount, which was a very good deal.

Came for lunch and did a tasting. Food was good, service was good, wine was good, so nothing to complain about. I had the peach burger and my husband had the brisket sandwich (peach burger was our favourite). Of all the wines, the sparkling ice wine was most interesting that we left with a bottle.
Taylor — Google review
An iconic stop for ice wine lovers. Our first winery stop in the region. We arrived shortly after opening and found a few groups already sipping wine on the lawn. Plenty of parking, and unlike some other wineries in the area, no drawn-out tours or gimmicky tastings. Just a straightforward, well-run setup. We went with their standard three-wine tasting ($25–$30 depending on the selections), which allowed two dry wines and one ice wine. Since it was still early in the day, we didn’t want to start with an all-sugar lineup. Inniskillin is a pioneer in Canadian ice wine and Gold Vidal was where it first started. So of course, we tried their signature Gold Vidal, which was described as bright and peach-forward. Unfortunately, we found the sweetness a bit overpowering. Our favorite was the Cabernet Sauvignon Ice Wine. Still rich and sweet but with a touch of red fruit depth that made it more tolerable. All the dry wines we tried were relatively mundane. Nice bonus: tastings come with discounts on wine purchases over a certain amount. Since we picked up a few bottles, we got $20 off our total (just over $100).
Jea K — Google review
I have tried their wine a few times on restaurant menus over the years, but it was my first time visiting. Lovely winery, friendly staff and beautiful grounds with a picturesque patio. Did a tasting, the standout by far was the Vidal Icewine, this is the best I’ve ever tasted, perfectly balanced, sweet but not overly sweet and not too syrupy like some others I’ve tried. So good I bought 2 bottles, can’t wait to enjoy!

When you find yourself wandering the charming streets of Niagara-on-the-Lake, a visit to COWS Ice Cream is an absolute must. This delightful ice cream shop, originally hailing from Prince Edward Island since 1983, has become a beloved staple for both locals and tourists alike. With over 30 unique flavors to choose from—like the whimsical Moonicorn and the indulgent Gooey Mooeyburnt sugar caramel—you’re in for a treat!
I had a great experience COWS—the ice cream was truly special with an authentic taste that stood out. You could tell it was made with care and quality ingredients. A must-try for anyone who enjoys rich, traditional flavors in their dessert. I’ll definitely be going back for more!

If you're looking for an ice cream shop that goes above and beyond, COWS Niagara-On-The-Lake is definitely worth a visit! They boast a huge variety of flavors, so you're sure to find something that tickles your fancy. I highly recommend stopping by if you're craving an ice cream that's both delicious and picture-perfect. I grabbed my cone and found a bench nearby, and let me tell you, enjoying that sweet treat while surrounded by the beautiful town scenery made it taste twice as good! It's the perfect combination of great ice cream and charming ambiance.

Such a beautiful ice cream shop!! If you come to Niagara-ON-The-Lake, COWS is the perfect place for a yummy snack! Their ice cream feels so natural and there is a great selection of flavours. My favourite was the strawberry sorbet paired with the walnut-covered cone. Although there was a huge lineup, their staff is so quick and efficient which makes the wait time go smoothly. Their staff is also very polite and nice, and their customer service is exceptional, they don’t rush you and will give you good recommendations if you are unsure of their flavours. There are no washrooms inside, but there are very clean public washrooms just around the corner behind the courthouse (less than 1 min walk away). This place is well worth the hype!! I would definitely come back! 🤍🍦

Cows definitely puts the creaminess in ice cream! Stopped by for a couple of scoops and really enjoyed how heavily creamy they were. Tried the Moo Crunch and PEI Blueberry on cones, and liked how the flavours came through and how they weren't overly sweet. Only quibbles were the blueberries were too icy and the cones were a bit hard. But overall, really enjoyed. This is the perfect spot to stop by and grab a scoop to make that walk along Queen Street even more enjoyable.

What a cute shop - there was a pretty big line up even on a weeknight! The wait was quick though… we only waited about 10 minutes to be served and pay. The store is filled with cute merchandise - if you’re an impulsive buyer;m, you might be in trouble slowly zigzagging toward the ice cream counter! They don’t have regular cones but their sugar cones were delicious! We had the chocolate dipped ones. We had a Vanilla cone and a PEI Blueberry cone. Well worth the money!! Be prepared if you’re buying for a family 😉

Went here after seeing so many rave reviews. There was a long line that stretched all the way to the back door, but it moved fairly quickly—we waited about 15 minutes. We ordered three double scoops: the coconut cream pie and maple walnut were standouts—creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. We also got chocolate and vanilla, which were classic and safe choices. Overall, the ice cream isn’t overly sweet, which I liked. That said, it was good—but honestly, a bit overrated.

Cow’s Ice Cream is absolutely exceptional and truly worth the hype! It’s a must-visit when you’re in the Niagara-on-the-Lake area. We tried a couple of samples before choosing a scoop of Maple Walnut (because, Canada!) and the Wowie Cowie—both were outstanding. One of the highlights was watching the waffle cones being made fresh from scratch. Even better, you can have them decorated with sprinkles, chocolate chips, or other fun toppings, which makes the treat feel extra special. The staff worked really hard to keep the long line moving, and they did it with such friendliness and efficiency. This spot is basically a souvenir shop and ice cream parlor all in one—the adjoining shop is full of playful, cow-themed merchandise that makes the visit even more fun. There are entrances at both the front and back, which is super convenient. A quick note: there isn’t any seating inside or outside, so be ready to grab your cone and stroll the beautiful streets of Niagara-on-the-Lake while you enjoy.

Of all the flavors we got, the mango sorbet was my favorite! On a very hot summer day, it was a cool breeze! We knew it was popular, but we weren't expecting such a long line. Thankfully, it didn't take too long for our turn, & we got inside the store soon enough. The server who made my sundae was polite & dedicated to offering me all the options without rushing too much. The flavor options were great, like the peach melba.

Amazing place. Can climb the monument step over 250 of them. Been a few time and found out this time his remains are actually buried right were I was standing... nit with family but with his right hand servant....hmmm seemed kinda weird. The views and history are amazing. The drive along the Nigara down river from the falls to the monument is filled with amazing photo opertunities. Amazing to do with your early teens as they will be learning this in school ( if in Ontario,Canada )in the next few years of there life...great?day trip if in southern Ontario.

Quiet and peaceful, away from huge crowds. Great place to spend a summer day! The view is incredible from Brock's monument. Close to floral clock as well!

I have to make a special trip to come back again . I went to this park yesterday because we joined a day trip tour to the Niagara-on-the-Lake and we were there to have lunch at the restaurant. Only have time to take a few photos of the Brock's Monument, didn't have time to see the whole park. I can see good children playground, beautiful flowers and trees, over looking the Niagara River . Should be very beautiful in the Falls.

Visited Queenston Heights Park in late February where the signs state that the walkways aren’t maintained in the winter. You’d never know. The park was beautiful and well maintained. Outstanding views with lots of historical information posted.

This delightful spot has been serving visitors for nearly 90 years, offering an array of seasonal fruits, freshly baked goods, and scrumptious sandwiches. As you stroll through the market, you'll find an impressive selection of homemade jams and jellies alongside gourmet gifts perfect for any occasion.
Walker’s Country Market is a charming local spot with fresh produce, homemade baked goods, and friendly service. Everything feels authentic and made with care. It’s the perfect place to grab local treats, enjoy the scenery, and experience the warm Niagara hospitality. Always a pleasure to visit!

Charming but prices are not readily available so we did not buy anything. They were fresh cookies and sandwiches but if I have to ask how much I will not purchase. They had some beautifully crafted homemade jams, jellies, relish, etc that looked very good and the prices were underneath the jars. They also had ice cream and fresh fruit. This looks like a great place to stop during a summer drive. Washrooms are also available as well as a tiny church tourist attraction

Our tour bus stopped here for lunch yesterday. It had fresh fruits and vegetables, lots of bottled/canned goods, pies, one cream counter, deli counter with sandwiches and pastries, and candy. We got the Montreal smoked meat sandwiches on sourdough bread for $10 each. The meat inside was a good inch thick and very tasty!

It's a beautiful country market that sells fresh fruits and vegetables. They also have a great bakery section, if you're looking for tarts they have a good selection. Plenty of parking. Always worth a visit. I don't think I'd pay a buck and a quarter for an ear of corn though.

Nice market selling fresh fruits, pastries, ice cream, jams and other things. I really love their gluten free vegan choco chip cookies because they're thin and a perfect combination of chewy & crunchy! We also bought pecan tarts, apples, grapes and corn. Yum😃

I love this market. The staff are friendly and helpful. Everything I've purchased from them has been delicious. The peach tarts, peach scones, various preserves are some of my favorites so far. This is a great place to stop if you are in the area.

Sandwich shop
Budapest Bakeshop is a must-visit for those with a sweet tooth or a craving for savory delights. This bakery specializes in the traditional Hungarian chimney cake, a cylindrical confection with over 300 years of history. From classic flavors like cinnamon sugar to innovative combinations such as Nutella and walnut, there's something to satisfy every palate.
We tried turkey sandwiches and the original with Nutella & pistachio (normally they don't have options like that but they made it for me) THERE WERE AMAZING 🫠Amazing Amazing Amazing! I just want to never finish a turkey sandwich. The best sandwich I've ever eaten in my life. 🩷
Ayça S — Google review
Came here while visiting a friends wedding, and got a turkey sandwich. Was pretty busy, but expected since it was a Saturday around lunch time. Solid choice for lunch in a tourist spot! I'd say if you aren't too hungry, skip the sandwich and just get one of the chimneys with a dip since that's normally much faster.
Eliah ( — Google review
My husband and I are visiting Canada for the first time to see Niagara Falls and we stopped in Niagara-on-the-Lake for boutique shopping and a snack. When I walked past Budapest Bakery and saw the words "chimney cakes" I had to see what that was all about! I went inside and it smelled like a fresh-baked heaven. I ordered the Sausage Chimney for my husband and I to share and it was amazing! The Hungarian sausage had a robust flavor, but not overpowering, and it went so well with the delicious, soft freshly baked Aged Cheddar Chimney. Also to note, the Sausage Chimney came with a side of sport peppers and yellow mustard packets. I LOVE sport peppers, so that was a pleasant surprise! I highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area! Worth all the calories.
Michelle — Google review
Never had bakery bread quite like this before! The chimney shape alone makes it stand out. I tried the cinnamon, the classic, and two savory options — all turned out extraordinary. If I had to pick, the cinnamon and sausage are my top votes, but honestly, everything was flavorful and so satisfying. This spot is definitely on my Ontario favorites list for a weekend getaway or staycation. I’ll be back next time I’m in Niagara-on-the-Lake this fall.
Wei O — Google review
Great take out spot offering both savoury and sweet options. Traditional chimney cakes with sausage or any sweet chimney cakes. they are all made in house and offered until they sell out. the line could get long depending on time of year and day. Also, it is not uncommon for the shop to get hit with an unexpected tour bus or get busier than anticipated and sell out before their closing hours. We have never had a bad experience here, the fair is always good and fresh. Recently tried one of their walnut rolls and it was delicious.

Beautiful lake view and walking path; but this year town has done little landscaping and the benches are locked up, all parkometers around for people to park and walk around.

This place was beautiful! Lovely and shaded with a park AND a free small wading pool with lifeguards! The only downside is apparently after 6 they drain the wading pool and they close and drain the pool and there were many upset children there my daughter included when we brought her to play just after dinner.

Museums
Nestled along the picturesque riverside, the RiverBrink Art Museum is a treasure trove of fine art and literature, originally curated by local lawyer Samuel Weir in his former residence. This charming gallery showcases an eclectic mix of Canadian and international historical artworks, with a particular focus on pieces that reflect the rich history of the Niagara Region. Visitors can admire portraits of local founders alongside stunning works from renowned artists like The Group of Seven and Tom Thompson, who beautifully captured Northern Canada's landscapes.
Set right on the edge of the lower Niagara Gorge, this little gem of an art museum holds not only some great display space, but its own library. With an art collection of around 1400 pieces, they're able to field themed exhibits in addition to the traveling or focus artist exhibits that they also host. When we went, there was an exhibit focused on a First Nations beadwork artist, and another exhibit on Inuit artists. These were in addition to exhibits from the museum's own collection. The building itself is beautiful, with lots of wood panelled rooms and hallways. The gallery space is on the first and second floors (with more artwork in hallway spaces and on the stairwell walls and landings), and the library is in the basement, with more sculptures on the shelves, and plenty of chairs and table spaces to read and do research with. Being a not-for-profit, they ask for donations, and are able to take them electronically, if you want to do that. They also have a nice little gift shop area with some pieces of art that are for sale, as well as some books, cards, and even maps for local walking tours of the nearby area.

Pleasantly surprised to see both the group of seven paintings here, as well a renoir. Absolute gem right here in our backyard Niagara.
Linda R — Google review
If you're a fan of art and find yourself in the Queenston area, the RiverBrink Art Museum is definitely worth a visit. The museum has a good collection of art pieces, showcasing the works of Canadian and American artists. The building itself is charming and well-maintained, with a lovely outdoor space to explore as well. However, it's worth noting that there isn't much else going on at the museum besides the art. So if you're looking for a more interactive experience or activities for kids, you may be disappointed. Additionally, it's not particularly stroller-friendly, as there are some steps and narrow passages that can make maneuvering a stroller difficult. Overall, I'd recommend the RiverBrink Art Museum to art lovers and those looking for a quiet, contemplative experience. Just be aware of the limitations in terms of accessibility and activities.

absolutely amazing gallery in niagra area, cannot reccomend enough for art enjoyers to see. entry is free but donations are encouraged, which i of course highly reccomend one do. the gallery supports local artists, as well as preserving niagra history and artistic culture. there’s a very expansive library, and gorgeous pieces on display. i’m an art university student from the uk, and loved getting to see both local history and art. the pieces are displayed within the homestead, preserving the building, which both preserves art and history. the library is free and an open archival resource, my friend even asked about coming back to read in the library and use its books about history and art as academic reference, which the kind lady was more than happy to say that my friend could. there’s also events and local information at the gift shop/reception desk. i forgot to look at her name and im sorry, but the lady working around noon on 11th may 2024 was incredibly kind and loved to speak to us about art and history, and we of course loved to speak to her. it was great being able to ask local questions, as well as discuss the pieces and history with her. part of me doesn’t want to reccomend this place as a tourist stop as it was so lovely to be there alone with my travel group, but i can’t in good conscience not leave a review 🩷

The bakery offers a variety of delicious options for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. From fritters made with eggs, Belgium cheese, and bacon to apple cider doughnuts covered in cinnamon sugar and caramel sauce, Fritters on the Lake has something for everyone.
What an amazing place! I highly recommend getting the fritters with *ice cream*. The cold ice cream on the fresh hot fritter was so good. They also had an apple slush today that was not on the menu but it's made with apples ONLY (no sugar or preservatives). They literally invited us to watch them juice the apples and turn it into slush. It was so good and refreshing. The service is phenomenal!! We got to write on the wall too :D

Cute little shop on the corner. The guy serving us was so nice and very courteous. I love apples, cinnamon and donuts, so these fritters fits the bill. Caution, they are really hot even after 10 minutes. The apple slushy was really good especially when its 30°C. There are a fe tables on the patio and some seating inside. Its small and quaint.

We had the apple fritters with ice cream and they were so fresh and tasty - 10/10 would recommend. The staff were so nice and friendly too. Our fritters had a 5 min wait so we were given a mini sample to try in the meantime. We were offered sauces (we chose caramel) which added an unexpected $2.50, but I could look past that once we tasted the fritters! This is a must do at Niagara on the lake.

Nice specialty pastry shop. The fritters were fresh and warm. We ordered the plain cinnamon sugar and they threw in a free extra one with caramel sauce for us to try. It is literally a fried apple ring. Great to heat the next day for breakfast. The outdoor patio was nice and quaint. Great location to coffee shops and specialty stores. This is a beautiful little town. Walking distance to the park, public washroom, carriage rides and shops.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars for both food and service! The owner was such an incredibly nice man and the fritters are the best apple fritters I’ve ever had, this is coming from someone whose favorite dessert is apples and cinnamon sugar. Loved this store!! Everything in this store is beautiful. I wanted to buy so many things here but my bank account said no. I walked out with 2 mugs ($17 each) of which I have others of from same company and bought from another shop ($16). Prices pretty on the mark for Indigenous craftsmanship.

Wineries & Vineyards
Château des Charmes, founded in 1978 by Paul Bosc, is a picturesque winery with sprawling vineyards and a French-inspired ambiance. It was the first commercial vineyard in Canada to exclusively plant European grape varieties. The estate offers tours, tastings, and light fare amidst verdant surroundings. Additionally, it hosts elegant events featuring live music, delectable foods, and fine wines under a canopy tent.
Went July the 4th with 2 friends for tasting, charcuterie and chocolate. Great reception from the staff. We were assigned a lovely table by the vineyard inside the tent. We reserved for 6 Pm so we had 2 waiters to tend to us. Arthur and Noah both from France studying at Brock University added that French accent to the presentation and service. Both well mannered, knowledgeable about the wines, cheeses, meats and chocolates. Our guests were impressed since it was their first experience. We are members of Chateau des Charmes Wine Club and every visit is an adventure in tasting and enjoying the moment. Getting back in few week with more guests, hope to see these 2 lads soon. Thanks for a great day with you. Michel & Rémi

Beautiful property, very spacious and was nice and quiet when we visited. The staff were so lovely & extremely knowledgeable about the wines. We had booked the wine tasting and learnt a lot about each & what paired best with them. I especially want to thank Anywn - she was great, very attentive and made sure to keep checking if we needed anything. Offered to take our photos and just overall made us feel very welcome. She is a credit to your team! If you’re looking for a vineyard to visit, I would definitely recommend this one!

Our visit to Château des Charmes in Niagara on the Lake was a dream! It's the most peaceful and serene winery I've ever visited! We were lucky to be there on a gorgeous sunny day, and the backyard area was the perfect spot to unwind. Their big, comfy white leather couches made it easy to sit back with our drinks, relax, and enjoy every minute of quiet conversation surrounded by the picturesque setting. The gentleman who greeted us was truly made for his role. He was incredibly personable and professional. He did a fantastic job explaining all of our options when we arrived and guided us effortlessly through the experience. There are plenty of choices, from tastings and individual glasses to cocktails and mocktails. My mojito came out initially missing some mint and muddling, but they handled it beautifully. The bartender immediately made things right, remade the drink perfectly, and even comped it with a genuine smile. The kind of old school, attentive hospitality ( becoming increasingly rare these days), they absolutely excelled at it! Overall, Château des Charmes completely exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere, the people, and the impeccable attention to guests made for a memorable and relaxing afternoon. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing experience! Would recommend. We did the $25 tasting menu and enjoyed all 4 wines. François était le meilleur sommelier!! He was friendly and let my sister try a Riesling to see if she would like it :) thank you

We had one of the most nicest experiences at the winery, Fernanda our tour guide was amazing. I learned so much from her from the history of the chateau to the biology and science behind the process of wine making. She was very knowledgeable about everything. Answered all of questions, and no doubt made our tour easy and very enjoyable. If you ever go, ask for Fernanda 😁.

Reif Estate Winery is a must-visit destination in Niagara, offering outstanding wines crafted from premium grape varieties using innovative techniques and traditional methods passed down over thirteen generations. The winery's commitment to producing predominantly estate bottled wines has resulted in world-class products. Visitors can enjoy a variety of experiences, including wine tastings, tours, and the opportunity to sample their award-winning ice wines.
Look for Ana!!! Super welcoming and knowledgeable. She’s a great guide in explaining the different ice wines they have that have won multiple awards. She even gave a great history of the company and how to make the ice wines. Best place to go for a wine tasting, no need to go anywhere else. The location is very charming.

Had an amazing wine tasting experience! Michael was super friendly and informative - he walked us through the different wines with food pairings. The location is right across from the lake which adds for a nice stroll after. I would highly recommend this winery!!

We discovered this winery on our last trip up here and had an amazing tasting and experience so we signed up for thier club membership. Since they cant mail to the US they are willing to hold our boxes for us until we can come up and pick them up (at no additional charge). We came up this week to pick up our month subscription boxes and had another lovely tasting, this time on the patio with thier wine slushies as well and thier amazing pulled pork pizza.

Found this cute winery with old barrels at the curb. Thought we'd check it out after the farmstead pointed us this way. Oh my.. the pulled pork pizza was yummy delicious. The flight was amazing. The slushy merlot was great... we both had a great first time thanks

While we were a bit disappointed that the sensory garden was closed for a private event during our first visit, our sommelier Michael made it a great experience. He tailored our tasting to our individual tastes, often making suggestions of wines he thought we would like or were a better option than what we selected. Next time we come to Reif, we'll definitely be making a reservation ahead of time based on how busy it was in the last hour.

This is a beautiful place to visit if you’re interested in learning about winemaking. They offer guided tours that take you through various parts of the property, providing insights into the entire wine production process. Tickets cost around $25 per adult and $15 per child. However, you might be able to find a $5 discount coupon on the Niagara Parks website—it’s worth checking online beforehand. The front desk staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating, which adds to the overall positive experience. During the tour, they offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, making it suitable for all visitors. Inside the building, there’s a wide selection of wine bottles available for purchase. I highly recommend this place if you’re curious about how wine is made or simply want to explore a well-organized and informative winery.

It's such a beautiful little spot to visit. The food is incredible! The charcuterie, the chunky Greek salad, the pizza and the guilty burger, even without the bun. Delicious! And not too expensive! The one place untouched by inflation. We booked our wedding here 7 years ago, came back to visit and the prices are the exact same. Such underrated wine! The best wine in Canada. Everyone was impressed with the wine at our wedding, I always give it as gifts and people are floored. This unknown gem! And they've built it up so much! So much more places to sit and eat. Keep up the great work!

We had such a fun time at Reif Estates! My boyfriend and I did their blind tasting and it was such a unique and engaging way to try their wines. It turned the whole experience into a little game—and made us pay even more attention to what we were tasting. Great wine, beautiful setting, and a really fun twist on a traditional tasting. Highly recommend!

Nestled at the northern tip of the Niagara River sub-appellation, Two Sisters Vineyards is a celebrated winery that offers an array of delightful experiences amidst its picturesque estate. With easy access and ample free parking, visitors can enjoy scenic views bordered by the tranquil waters of Lake Ontario and the Niagara River. The unique geography creates a perfect climate for vineyards, ensuring moderate temperatures year-round. The estate boasts beautifully maintained gardens and lush grass areas, making it an ideal spot for couples or weddings.
Two Sisters winery becomes my favourite spot every time we visit NOTL. It’s a few minutes drive from downtown business area with very impressive grounds. So you drive in to the property you can see the grapevine on both sides of the driveway lead to gorgeous Italian style building that houses the wine teasing room and the restaurant. The restaurant has huge outdoor dining area that is facing the back vineyard that you can have a gorgeous sunset view. The menu is tight with nice options. They offer all the wines that are produced in the winery. We went with a couple of friends for an early dinner after a play. Our waitress was very friendly and tentative. Food are delicious.Sitting in the place make you feel like you’re in Europe without hop on the plane!

We had a truly memorable dining experience at the vineyard. The setting was absolutely stunning — surrounded by rows of lush vines, the atmosphere was peaceful and picturesque, perfect for a relaxing evening. The food was thoughtfully prepared, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients that paired beautifully with the wines. Each course was elegantly presented and full of flavor. The wine selection was exceptional, and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us through pairings that enhanced the meal. Service throughout the evening was warm, attentive, and well-paced. We never felt rushed, and every member of the staff contributed to the overall charm of the experience. This dinner wasn’t just a meal — it was an experience that celebrated great food, excellent wine, and the beauty of the vineyard. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special evening out.

Two Sisters Winery in Niagara on the Lake exudes elegance and sophistication. The property itself is stunning. The beauty of this vineyard truly lies in the details ✨️ They have a wonderful shop inside and a gorgeous outdoor patio that’s perfect for relaxing with drinks. You can also order food as well. Their boutique wine tastings must be booked in advance. For something more casual, there’s also a charming outdoor wine by the glass stand where you can sip and enjoy the scenery. Pairing the wine with some delightful gourmet chips-It's simply devine. We ended up taking the long route through the vineyard since it was such a beautiful day, though if you’re not wearing proper footwear, definitely take the shortcut to the left to avoid walking through the vines! Between the serene fountains, the breathtaking setting, and the exceptional wines, Two Sisters is a place I’d love to spend much more time at. A truly memorable Niagara on the Lake experience.

Our first visit to this amazing Winery with a surprising and pleasing experience tasting a few white and red wines presented professionally by Brock, a knowledgeable host. After choosing four bottles to enjoy at a later time, we chose to have lunch in their restaurant. All and all, we highly recommend visiting, tasting and dining at Two Sisters Winery.

This was a booking for a special occasion, family style service at the table was well delivered and every single thing on the menu was amazing. Wonderful ambiance and with a heated patio since the evening was a little nippy that made the night. Thank you for making our event special!

My fiancé and I got engaged at the vineyard they set up the barrel room for us and made our day feel even more special. I highly recommend stoping here if you’re visiting the town or planning a special event like an engagement or wedding. They also have good service, amazing food and great wine!

This is the vineyard where I proposed to my wife, and since then, we’ve made it a tradition to return every year for our anniversary dinner. It’s become such a meaningful place for us, and each visit only reinforces why we love it here. On our most recent visit, we sat on the patio with a full view of the vineyard, a truly serene and romantic setting. My wife started with a glass of the 2023 Riesling, then followed it up with the 2023 Sauvignon Blanc. Both were fresh, bright, and paired beautifully with the meal. We began with the burrata and arancini, both were excellent. The burrata was served with Ontario peaches, which were perfectly ripe and sweet. We honestly wished we had more to share. The arancini were crisp on the outside and soft inside, a great contrast in texture. For mains, my wife had the rigatoni Bolognese, while I went with the mushroom pappardelle. The flavors were rich and comforting, and the portion sizes were generous. I even took some of mine home. Beyond the food and wine, the vineyard itself is stunning. It’s well-maintained with plenty of space to walk around and take photos. There’s also ample parking right out front, which is always appreciated. Expect to spend at least $100 per person for dinner, especially if you're enjoying wine with your meal. For the quality, setting, and experience, it’s absolutely worth it ! We’re already looking forward to our next visit. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts.

2025.09.09 My first visit to Two Sisters Vineyards. Lovely place. Went did only the wine tasting. Waiting time was 45 minutes (without pre-booking). They have restaurant with indoor and outdoor seatings. Our host Susan was great but she did not want to take photos with us, 'she is a celebrity'. We all like their Red Cabernet Sauvigon and the Ice Wine.

Niagara-On-The-Lake Hockey is a well-kept secret for hockey enthusiasts in the area. The facilities are always kept clean and the ice conditions are usually excellent. The concession fries are delicious, and a must try.
Great place to play hockey and watch hockey games. The facilities are very clean and well kept. Ice conditions is usually very good to excellent. The new LED lighting is very bright and a pleasure to play on. The concession fries are delicious and a must-try. This is Niagara's best-kept secret for hockey!

We put our 3-year-old in the Skate Canada program last year and were less than impressed. The hockey program he is enrolled in this year as a 4-year-old, on the other hand, is fantastic! The coach is great. The drills are fun and the keep the kids attention. The steps to learn to skate are well thought out and very effective. My son hated the Skate Canada program and loves the hockey one!

Trius Winery & Restaurant, part of the Peller family, gained international recognition in 1991 when its Trius Red was named the Best Red Wine in the World. Nestled between the Niagara Escarpment and Lake Ontario, this winery offers tours and tastings of its award-winning wines, including reds, whites, ice wines, and sparkling varieties. The property features a restaurant with wine pairings and seasonal seating in the Wine Garden overlooking vineyard views.
An amazing experience. We did the three course meal and ate outside which was quite the experience. The meals were definitely unique and it felt like very fine dining. The servers describe everything amazingly and definitely keep your meal moving forward. The mains were our favorite parts and the dessert was unreal. Thanks for the great Michelin star experience.

Absolutely loved my visit to Trius Winery! I did a tasting and spent a relaxing afternoon reading my book on their beautiful covered patio. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and other visitors were so sweet to my pup—he felt right at home! The wines were fantastic, and the whole experience makes this one of my favorite winery visits in New York State. We’ll definitely have to come back for the restaurant, which was Michelin-recognized in 2024. This spot is great for a group outing or solo travelers, very clean, and there’s plenty to explore around the state.
Connie K — Google review
We visited this restaurant in July for dinner and had the two-course meal. The restaurant is so gorgeous but since it was a lovely July evening, we decided to sit on the patio. The setting was absolutely beautiful, overlooking a little fountain, a grassy yard with barrels, and views of the vines. It really set the mood! The meal started with fresh bread and whipped butter, which was absolutely delicious. For starters, I had the beet salad, which was incredible — beautifully plated and full of flavor. My partner had the tomato collection, which was fresh and tasty as well. For mains, I had the beef, which I found a bit under-seasoned compared to the first course, while my partner’s fish was good but slightly plain. We were stuffed so we skipped dessert. I ordered a white wine sampler which came in the rack and since it was warm it got warm quickly so this is something for the owners to consider. Overall, we loved our experience — the gorgeous setting, service, and delicious starters made it so memorable! A wonderful spot for a summer evening experience!!!!

This was my second experience at Trius restaurant. We went for our anniversary this time and really enjoyed ourselves. The food is excellent and they are on the Michelin guide for a reason. I didn’t like that the bread and butter wasn’t included considering with tip and wine, this was like a $400 meal already. It was also served in a plant pot for some reason. My husband got the duck appetizer and I got the ice wine beets. He had the halibut, and I had the Cornish hen. And dessert, he had the blueberry cheesecake and I had the peach pavlova. Both appetizers were very good, the peach pavlova I think was better, but the Cornish hen was the dish of the night. Wow it was so good! Our server was very lovely, and I thought the staff was very impressive coming out with each dish and explaining every component with every course. Overall it was a great experience, and we would consider returning on another trip to NOTL.

The food was delicious, and the wine was absolutely amazing. I was so impressed by how perfectly it was served at the right temperature — I never knew wine could taste this good! It was even better than the pairings I’ve had at Hiramatsu in Japan. I was also delighted to meet the Japanese manager — it made me feel very welcome. Don’t forget to take home a bottle of their wine as a souvenir! 🍷

Trius Winery & Restaurant was one of my absolute favorite stops on my Niagara on the Lake wine tour! It was easily the busiest winery we visited too, and for good reason. I love how multi-faceted it is. They have a beautiful store, a separate fine dining restaurant, and a guided tour (for an extra charge which needs to be booked in advance) that takes you all around the property. The cellar tour was incredible, advertised as the largest sparkling cellar out there . We were able to sample their award winning sparkling wines and the iconic Trius Red for which they have earned so much recognition for. We did run into a huge bachelorette group that delayed our tour, which affected our dinner reservation, but the staff handled it perfectly. Our guide was so accommodating he personally arranged for a private escort for us to the Sparkle Room for the final Insta-worthy part of the experience. Such a thoughtful touch and completely worked out in our favor for a private photo opportunity! Dinner at the Trius Restaurant was outstanding!! It’s actually the only Michelin recommended restaurant in Niagara on the Lake, and it exceeded every expectation. The prix fixe menu was excellent. We were able to choose either 2 or 3 courses. We went for 3 and since we had 3 people in our party we each ordered something different so essentially we tried the entire menu sharing. Every dish was perfection. Service was fantastic as well. Every menu item was presented with an incredible in depth description which was greatly appreciated. Trius is without a doubt a must see winery in Niagara on the Lake!

An absolutely incredible experience! We enjoyed the 3-course lunch at Trius Winery and every dish was perfection — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and perfectly paired with their wines. The atmosphere was gorgeous, the service attentive, and the whole experience felt effortlessly special. Can’t wait to go back and bring more friends next time — it’s a must-visit!

The estate and wine tour is a must if you are visiting niagara on the lake. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The red wine and sparking wine are a must try. The underground sparking wine cellar is one of the largest in canada! Amazing to see all the bottles stacked up. We visited this place and a few other wineries for the bachelorette party, and this one was by far the best. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the wines and snacks were delicious, and the atmosphere was amazing — we had the best time! We’ll definitely be back soon to enjoy the fall views.

Such a cute winery with some good wines. If you like sweeter whites, they have a lot of good ones. My husband and I both did a tasting, so we ended up trying 8 wines on the menu, I can say the whites were my favourite. We also got a charcuterie board to share which was pleasant. Our server was lovely. We ended up leaving with a bottle of Vidal and special edition white.

The Hare Wine Company is a stunning winery offerring excellant wines. The tasting room is spacious and beautifully designed with gorgeous views of the vineyard. The Hare family has been making wine for over 100 years starting in Bulgaria. Small batch VQA reds, whites, rose and icewine. Everything we tasted had depth and complexity! Great textures, aromas, and balance. My rating rationale for beer, wine, or spirits: +1 Service +1 Atmosphere/Vibe +1 Taste/Quality (Flavor, aroma, and overall quality of the beverage) +1 Presentation (Glassware, garnishes, and visual appeal of the drinks) +1 Selection/Variety (Range of beer, wine, or spirit options and uniqueness of offerings)

We enjoyed a wine tasting and light lunch on their patio on a beautiful sunny fall day. Also of note was that they are dog friendly as our dog Sina was able to join us on the patio. Finally we bought two bottles of wine that we really enjoyed during the tasting but not before we learned about these wines from our friendly and knowledgeable server Vanessa. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon and we will be back next time.
