Fiscalini Ranch Preserve is a tranquil sanctuary boasting pine forests, open fields, and stunning ocean bluffs. With 17 diverse trails to explore, visitors can enjoy leisurely walks through flower-filled coastal terraces or stroll along the boardwalk at Moonstone Beach. The preserve is home to endangered species and offers a wonderful display of nature's diversity.
Love walking here. Enjoying the new boardwalk! Best Gym there is! Baby red tailed hawk! And so much wildlife! Spectacular place to walk!

What a wonderful place to chill by the coast and bond with nature. So many trails to choose from. Along the coast or up in the forest! Get your Zen on! RELAX! Spring is a great time to see the wild flowers. Easy to find and access the trails. There are excellent trail maps posted. Just go!
Udo W — Google review
Plenty of wildlife (we saw lots of birds and deer), beautiful benches, and a well maintained boardwalk with intersecting trails.
Whitney G — Google review
Absolutely love this place!! So many different trail options. Great place for those looking for a casual stroll, spending time with family, or for those looking for more of a workout. Dog friendly, kid friendly, and ADA accessible. Signs are posted with clear information and they even have maps printed out for you to take. Lots of great views of the ocean and plenty of wildlife to see. Just be sure to respect mother nature, the neighborhood where you park, and others guests on the trials and you'll have a great time!

Went here on a Saturday morning. Parking was easy to find and not too busy. We did a 4 mile hike along the reserve. There's various trails along the way. We took one that took us to the top of the hill in a small forested area. Trails weren't too hard to go through. Some steepness on certain parts, but nothing too challenging. The downhill was a challenge for me since I've had knee surgery (torn meniscus and replaced patela), so I used hiking sticks and took my time. Really nice wood-themed benches and chairs along the way and nice views of the beach. Overall, definitely worth doing a nice walk along the cliffs or do the more challenging hikes on the hills.
Jerome M — Google review
Easy wooden plank trail and if you want to be more adventurous, you could take other trails up through the trees and wood and over the hill,
Fernando S — Google review
It was our first visit to Fiscalini Ranch Preserve. We enjoyed walking the trail with our Millie (Labrador Retriever). We took in the views from some of the unique driftwood benches. We plan to return when everything is in full bloom.
Tammie Z — Google review
Easy walk and epic views! This is one of our regular walks that provides a nice elevation change on the path without being difficult. The path is nicely maintained by the Preserve. Highly recommend you make a visit!

Nestled in the picturesque Cambria, Robin's Restaurant is a beloved dining spot offering a diverse culinary experience. The charming space features Mexican, Thai, and Indian cuisine alongside a nightly vegetarian special. With over 30 years of history, this restaurant has become a landmark on the Central Coast. Visitors can savor eclectic global dishes in a historic adobe setting while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.
Food was excellent. Ingredients were farm fresh as promised and the flavors were incredible. We ordered the Pork Chop and Robin's Chow, as well as the Peach Blueberry Crisp for dessert. We also received an order of their Chocolate Torte on the house because we were celebrating an anniversary. Service was great and we enjoyed being seated in their outside area on the patio surrounded by live music and lush greenery.

Highly recommend the truffle fries, garlic bread, sake-based cocktails, filet mignon, salmon, and afogatto. The ambiance is beautiful and they've done a great job heating and covering the outdoor spaces so you don't need to worry about the elements. We loved this place so much that we came back the next night for a second round!

Robin’s is a must when in Cambria. Both the indoor and outdoor settings are wonderful, although I would recommend the outdoor patio. The menu is eclectic and changes regularly. Nice wine selection and the service is great! We’ve been there twice in the past year and both times our meals were excellent. Make reservations. I would highly recommend Robin’s! Enjoy!!
Randy N — Google review
We had the mushroom risotto with chicken and the osso bucco. We both enjoyed our meals and were satisfied, but not wowed. The atmosphere is the thing. This place is a darling fairy garden. We sat in the back covered patio on plastic chairs at a folding table with a tablecloth. Chairs were comfortable. There are heaters about every 5 feet, so even though it was 60 degrees and misty, we were not cold.
Julie S — Google review
The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was sophisticated and calming and the service was good. We tend to eat vegetarian. The vegetarian cabbage rolls were stupendously delicious on a perfectly prepared exotic vegetable and mushroom bedding. My wife had the lasagna and loved it - portions are generous, cooked well and delivered hot. Highly recommended!

Absolutely phenomenal food. Staff was fantastic. Our server was Kayla and she was so pleasant and ensured we had a great experience while visiting with our newborn. We will be returning soon!

One of the great restaurants you will find tucked away on the Central California coast is located in an obscure and quaint town called Cambria. This is a must stop for any serious foodie! The meals prepared are culturally diverse, with N. Indian Roghan Josh as one of the stars along with the short ribs over mashed potatoes. The appetizer menu is stunning with the Crispy Brussel Sprouts and the Crusted Calamari being presented on your dinner plate. This area of Cambria is located around a half hour north of Morro Bay and 45 minutes from San Luis Obispo. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is tops. Try this place next time you are out for dinner and you will not be disappointed.
Phil M — Google review
Unmatched atmosphere and great food make Robin's a MUST, any time you are anywhere near Cambria! We've been coming for nearly 20 years now and it just keeps getting better. All your old favorites, just as tasty as ever, and just enough surprises to keep you on your toes!

Linn's Restaurant is a renowned establishment in Cambria, California, offering American country-style cuisine and delectable bakery goods. It has become a local favorite since its inception in 1989, evolving from a humble fruit stand to a beloved eatery at the corner of Bridge Street and Main Street. The restaurant's menu prominently features fruits from the Santa Rosa Creek Farm, particularly the famous olallieberry. Linn's also boasts a regional wine list and houses a charming gift shop.
Food is excellent. Service is kind and attentive. Atmosphere is peddling fast. Their pot roast is tasty. The meat is cooked just right being moist and flavorful. Their gravy is so good with mushrooms yum! The chicken pot pie is rich and tasty. Our server was so friendly and on the ball getting our food, drinks and clearing dishes. The olallieberry jam is crazy good. The Olallieberry pie is heaven! This place has been here for a long time and there's a reasonn for that... they have delicious food, great service, and heavenly pie. You must go here.
Timothy R — Google review
Very good dining experience. We had a party of seven people and we all had different dishes. Everyone enjoyed their choice. The beef stroganoff and crab salad were excellent. Others had meat loaf, chicken pot pie, coconut shrimp, and fish and chips. The pie for dessert really topped the evening off! The atmosphere was unique and especially entertaining for a cyclist. There are many bikes mounted high on the walls and also signed jerseys displayed in frames. The attached gift shop has several books on biking as well as food items. There is a small parking lot in back. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Overall a unique, fun experience with reasonable prices and acceptable service.
John M — Google review
Had a fantastic first meal at Linn’s. I had the pot roast and my partner had the mahi mahi special. I especially liked the cider because it was not overly sweet. We ended the meal with the olallieberry bread pudding. Our server was Jason who was just the right amount of fun and attentive.
Julie S — Google review
I remember visiting Linn’s as a teenager back in the 1990s. Now it’s 2025, and I’m back in Cambria as an adult with my wife. My mother reminded me to make sure to visit Linn’s again, so that’s exactly what we did on our last day in town. We decided to have breakfast before our long journey home. All of the food was delicious, and we even found some amazing candies and other treats to take home, which we are still enjoying after our trip. We will definitely return to Linn’s on our next visit to Cambria. Maybe next time we’ll try lunch or dinner. Although we came for breakfast, our dining experience was memorable and enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive. One thing to note is that this is a very busy and fast-paced place, especially during peak times. The only downside was the restroom situation. There were multiple people waiting when we were there, which was a bit of a letdown. I understand that space is limited, but perhaps future plans could include expanding the restroom facilities. Overall, thank you for another wonderful experience. We look forward to coming back!
Mike M — Google review
This place is an amazing restaurant with a bicycle theme. There's dozens of vintage bikes hanging from the walls and ceiling. The restaurant sells their own pies, jams, etc. The owner is very nice, he helps out the wait staff and makes sure the customers are happy. Behind the restaurant is the bakery and more gift shops. Everyone is extremely nice, polite, and accommodating. Needless to say the food is great.
Don B — Google review
You would think that they would have called this restaurant Olallieberry Heaven as it grew out of being an ordinary restaurant with a huge difference: olallieberries! Many of their dishes feature the blackberry-raspberry hybrid which also helped to grow Knott's Berry Farm into a billion-dollar roller-coaster park. And if the food was crap, it would have made no difference, but what they offer is not only delicious but smart and clever. For instance, I had the Olallieberry Burger which features beef sourced from the local Hearst ranch and had a delicious brie and blue cheese combination featuring olallieberries! On the side was a coleslaw made with apple and olalliberries! Olallieberry Heaven! The restaurant itself features a cute seasonal gift shop featuring, you guessed it, preserves made from olallieberries and other picked fruit. My wife and I have had lunch there over the years having come from Santa Barbara County to go strolling in quaint Cambria and have never been disappointed with their food and have probably never had the same thing twice. Ever their Arnold Palmer had a olallieberry infusion of some kind. Parking is almost always a challenge in Cambria but we were able to get an open spot behind their restaurant just after the lunch rush. If you're in the area, don't miss it!!
Joseph B — Google review
1st time coming to this establishment and it did not disappoint. The steak was amazing and so was the service. They serve good portions and prices are reasonable. Highly recommended especially celebrating a special occasion.

Very Visited Linn’s Restaurant in Cambria and really enjoyed it! ☕ The coffee was great, the eggs Benedict were delicious, and the breakfast burrito was solid too. The only thing I didn’t love were the pancakes — everything else was spot on. The decor is super charming, with bicycles hanging all around — a fun and creative touch that makes the place memorable. 🚲 Overall, it’s a cozy spot for breakfast or brunch with great service and a cool atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in town!

Nitt Witt Ridge is a fascinating historical landmark located in Cambria, California. The house, designated as California Registered Historical Landmark #939, was meticulously crafted by reclusive artist Arthur Harold Beal over the course of 50 years using only a pick and shovel. The unique structure incorporates unconventional materials such as car rims, beer cans, washer drums, and abalone shells. Often referred to as 'The poor man's Hearst Castle,' this quirky residence offers limited tours during the week.
This place was absolutely unique and amazing. I can't believe it was all hand done by one man that used to pick up trash for The local people. They would call it "The poor man's Hearst Castle". The man who owns it now gives out tours and tells an amazing true story about the history of Nitt Witt Ridge. Definitely have to check out this historical piece of history.
Tiffany S — Google review
California Registered Historical Landmark #939, is a house on a quarter acre in Cambria. Reclusive artist Arthur “Art” Harold Beal bought his hillside lot in 1928 and spent most of the next 50 years carving out the terraces with only a pick and shovel and creating his own “castle on a hill.” There are limited tours for the home during the week. There is a information packet outside the gate you can use to schedule a tour. The house is something to see even if you cant go in as it is made with things he found.

This place is so cool! I stopped in here with my 7 year old son while visiting Cambria, hoping my son might enjoy some history like his Mom. The two women inside were very nice and insightful about the history, and they let my son play the piano and do an old puzzle. We really enjoyed it!! So glad we stopped in and that Cambria had this house restored and preserved.

Restaurant
Sea Chest Oyster Bar is a popular, nautical-themed eatery in Cambria known for its fresh seafood and oysters. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with a game-filled lounge and a focus on serving top-notch seafood. Visitors can enjoy local wine paired with fresh oysters served raw or sautéed in wine and garlic.
Great food, great service. Be sure to bring cash, we came on a Thursday afternoon and there were people waiting in line before it open. We were able to get in quickly. Definitely worth the time and trip.
Frank V — Google review
We visited Cambria this weekend and decided to try Sea Chest since we were staying within walking distance. Oh man! This place is incredible. We loved it so much we decided to go for dinner both nights of our trip! The shrimp and scallop scampi was delicious and my husband enjoyed the fresh catches of the day each night. We arrived at opening time each night so it was about an hour wait but honestly it went by so quick. They have plenty of room to wait inside or outside with a glass of wine and on Saturday night they had live music in the outside waiting area. The service was great both nights as well. Make sure you order the chocolate torte and a nice cup of coffee for dessert - you will not regret it! Can’t wait to visit again soon!

GET THE CIOPPINO. I drive to Cambria once a year just to come order it. Everything is delicious. Beautiful views by the ocean. Cash only but they have an ATM. Come early at opening, there’s a line. So worth the wait.
Mandy K — Google review
A very cute locally owned restaurant- CASH ONLY!! They do have an ATM. Arrive early if you would like a seat in the front room with ocean views. We arrived at 5:18 (opens at 5:30) and this was a line- we were in the back of the house. It seemed like 5 more groups got in behind us and then there was a wait. They have a list of fresh caught options. Definitely get the sourdough garlic bread, delicious! We also got the mushrooms as an appetizer and they were very good. Main meal (fish) comes with soup or salad as well as a side of potato and veggies. Everyone was with enjoyed their food! The fresh caught option is $38-42- but fresh caught food from a local restaurant, it’s what we expected. I was reading other reviews about it being bland- I would say it’s more so on the healthy side. It’s not coated in fat and bread like people are used to with their food. I thought it was delicious, the fish is so fresh it doesn’t need to be smothered. I was happy about this because finding fresh healthy food is difficult these days. Everything comes off of a truck and is covered in grease. The service was slow but they were packed- I never hold this against a locally owned business. We ordered right away and I we got out of there around 7pm. This isn’t a quick dinner- it’s a nice sit down. Maybe different vibe at the bar though! We got 2 classes of wine, an iced tea, mushrooms, bread, 2 fresh caught options, and a pasta it was $198.
Emilee M — Google review
⭐ 1 Star The food here was absolutely phenomenal, but the service was one of the most uncomfortable experiences we’ve ever had dining out. We were seated right next to one of the staff’s family members — Kalia’s husband and daughter — and it was immediately clear they were receiving completely different treatment than us. While they got her full attention, we were mostly ignored and made to feel like outsiders sitting beside a family gathering. What made things worse was how her husband and daughter kept watching us throughout the meal — it felt like they were monitoring our interaction with Kalia, which made the entire experience feel tense and intrusive. We also couldn’t help but notice Kalia’s husband consuming several glasses of wine while seated with their daughter during our meal. It added to the uncomfortable atmosphere and made us question the professionalism of having family seated and drinking alongside guests in the dining area. Kalia herself was dismissive toward us, which only added to the awkwardness and made what should have been a relaxing date night feel unpleasant. Thankfully, Izzy — who we initially thought was just another waitress — turned out to be our actual server. She was kind, attentive, and professional, and truly the only reason we didn’t walk out. It’s such a shame that a restaurant with food this good allows this kind of dynamic to happen right in front of paying guests. Being treated differently than a staff member’s family, while feeling watched the entire time, made an otherwise special night feel awkward and unwelcoming.
Mike M — Google review
Such a lovely dining experience! The service was warm and welcoming from the start, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us with a bigger table by the window so we could enjoy the sunset view - such a thoughtful touch. The food was very good with generous portions, and everything felt fresh and satisfying. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between romantic and friendly, making it easy to relax and soak in the moment. Watching the sunset with such positive vibes made the evening truly memorable. Highly recommend!
Selinda Z — Google review
It’s a bit overrated place. Apart from the view food was mediocre. We were in town for 1 night and it was Friday. I was a bit nervous about waiting in queue for so long but there were only 2-3 groups waiting apart from us. While our name was written on wait list, we asked if we could wait on bar. I was hoping to get a seat front of kitchen with a glass of wine but we have directed to the back of room next to toiletes, a tiny bar facing wall with 3 bar stools. Assuming they are now providing kitchenview stools for dining. We got not-so-bad glass of wine and waited for less than half an hour to be seated. The host was super nice and helpful. We were seated next to window with no view but it’s understandable for party of two. We ordered garden salad, apart from blue cheese it was boring. Oysters Rockefeller seemed to be the house specialty but it was really bad. You should stick with raw oysters. Idk why americans try to deep fry every piece of nutrients. We deeply regretted that we have ordered calamari steaks after all these experiences. But it was okay. We shared a plate and it was enough for party of two. Unfortunately the side vegies were sauteed with coriander which we don’t like and it’s not mentioned on menu. It was an okay experience to dine in a historic restaurant. Service was great. But food was below avarage. I wouldn’t recommend.
Yer G — Google review
Great spot! Plan to wait if you show up past the 530pm opening. We came at 515pm but were seated in the first seating group (see line photo). Very good fresh fish daily specials. Would recommend the sea bass. The oyster Rockefeller were good but small. Let the wine flow and enjoy the ocean view from any seat in the restaurant except the bar area. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Cash or check only! No cards!

The Moonstone Beach Boardwalk is a picturesque 3-mile round-trip trail and boardwalk that offers easy access to the stunning Cambria coast. It serves as the gateway to the captivating mix of rocky shores and sandy beaches, making it an ideal starting point for exploring this beautiful region. The boardwalk stretches for about a mile, providing breathtaking views from Cambria's north end all the way down to Leffingwell Landing. Along the approximately 1-1.
Accessible boardwalks and other paths line the cliff sides here for miles. California is planning to make its entire coast walkable, and this is part of it. The name comes from the translucent white stones that used to be found here in vast quantities, but with most of them collected, you’ll have to search hard to find them today.
Adam O — Google review
I loved, loved this walk today. It’s an easy and relaxing walk along the beach with outstanding views of the ocean. I’d like to suggest to senior tourists like me to access the trailhead from the Santa Rosa Creek parking lot which has straight access to the boardwalk. The other option is to park at Shamel Park which requires one to go down to the beach on a not very safe way and then up to the boardwalk on the other end. Do not miss it, it’s worth it!
Laura E — Google review
Such a lovely place for a stroll! There is a long wooden boardwalk which makes the walk easy, with access points to reach the water. The views are just beautiful, and the moonstones are pretty cool! A free souvenir if you like to collect beach treasures!
Alexandrea G — Google review
Free parking adjacent to the boardwalk. Very accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. Relatively smooth boardwalk for those that can easily trip as well. Beautiful views! You just can’t beat the central coast. Grab a bite at a restaurant for lunch just near the boardwalk and walk it after!
K L — Google review
Went in early November , beautiful sunny day. The boardwalk is amazing for a nice walk beachside and not difficult to get to from the road. Parking was off the side of the road and easy to find. There were stairs down to the beach and a large amount of driftwood in the beach that people had made creative structures out of. Did not find any moonstones but the rocks on the beach are colorful. Would go back, highly recommend.
MaryBeth C — Google review
This place is one of my favorite places to go when I want to go for a quick getaway and feel like so far away from everything and forget that you’re just a little more than a couple of drives away from Los Angeles county. The view of the ocean is so beautiful and sound of the waves makes me feel so peaceful! When walking on the boardwalk , it feels like I’m walking on a garden of Eden. I’m actually at a loss for words to describe the beauty and the profound feelings I have whenever I’m actually walking the boardwalk. I actually enjoyed the walk with my partner this time. The beautiful plants, trees and vines that are along the boardwalk gives you another kind of beautiful sensation that you feel! The flowers also bloomed that gave so much color to the amazing walks we made on the boardwalk. Truly amazing! You must try and visit this place one day. It’s beautiful, clean and very beautiful. People are walking with their dogs and babies and are very friendly!

Conveniently situated if you are staying at either of the coastal hotels or at the Cambria village. Very well maintained for the needed environmental sustainability and nature habitats. The boardwalk stretches all the way to a nice and small wooded park area. Park area gives you access to the beach and water. Expect lots of squirrels that are accustomed to hamans. At the road side you can also get to feel the small coastal town vibe.

Madeline's Restaurant & Wine Cellar is a sophisticated dining spot in Cambria, CA. The restaurant offers an intimate ambiance with candle-lit dining and a menu inspired by American and French cuisine. While they do serve vegetarian options, their focus is mainly on seafood and meat dishes. Additionally, Madeline's features a wine cellar and tasting room where guests can enjoy wine flights with their meals and purchase bottles from the shop.
I don't have enough stars to grade this restaurant. From service, to food and ambience, it is a 11/10. I don't find duck breasts everywhere cooked properly. In fact, this is the first place in the US that I found the closest to what I can only find in France. Needless to say, a pleasant surprise! Do reserve in advance though. We were accommodated without a reservation, but it was very busy on a Sunday night.

Had fantastic time eating here, the atmosphere was impeccable comparing to other places. The staff stole the show how awesome they were with amazing service an professionalism. Our waiter Geo take absolute care of us. Thank you for the amazing time can't wait to come back to Cambria for more!!

So this week in Cambria after finding this local gem, I never go elsewhere. I come here for lunch, afternoon wine and then dinner, 3x a day 😆 for a couple days First night: Haven’t had duck 🦆 breast cooked this perfectly in a very, very long time. Next day lunch: had pork belly burger 🍔 it’s sooo crispy !! Second night: Tonight the filet mignon was absolutely the best I’ve had in a long long time, paired with their own wine “Madeline’s cab” this meal was truly 10/10. There’s was one last bottle left, therefore I brought it home 🥳

A fantastic, quaint restaurant on downtown Cambria's Main Street. Amazing food, great wait staff, and a cozy atmosphere. We had the frog leg appetizer, stuffed chicken breast, venison sirloin, and three-layer chocolate cake. Excellent wine and port choices. And a very tolerant and friendly wait staff. Definitely a must-visit in Cambria and a wonderful place for date night. We'll be back!

This place had cuisine so remarkable I cried. As I have been to France many times and am quite a cook myself, this restaurant was a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Cambria, CA. I have had challenges finding authentic French affair anywhere outside of La France. This place... gracious me... just reminded me of tastes you can typically only find in Europe. The foods were fresh and bold. Full of flavour, with plenty of butter in the expected fashion! My scallops were a mesmerizing start to my meal. Fresh. Perfectly seared. Mildly 'sweet' with subtle hints of sage and the salty sea. I really just wanted an entire bowl of the scallops alone. I would have been blessed. I did not have to force myself to choose the warm baby spinach salad. Baby greens with a bright vinaigrette, toasted pecans and dried cranberry. Fresh mozzarella slices. Micro-thin red onion. Just a wonderful way to clean the palate before main course. This establishment is known for its filet mignon, though, I had filet the previous evening. I decided upon the chicken breast stuffed with brie, among other savory offerings. The thin skin was delicately crisp. The flesh... fork-tender. The filling just splendid and truly, on-point. Service was remarkable with smiles and friendly staff all around. If I could go there every day, I certainly would. I was delighted beyond expectation.

This was our first time at Madeline's Restaurant and we loved it. Such an intimate setting inside, warm and inviting. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! Their cream of mushroom soup is amazing, so flavorful and the chicken stock base keeps the soup less dense than regular cream. Their chicken dish and fresh fish catch of the day dinners were cooked really well, loads of flavor and beautiful presentation. And dessert...omg...the raspberry key lime pie was SOO good!!

Best food, choices and prices than any restaurant in Cambria. I wish I'd known that at the beginning. I wouldn't have wasted my money at Moonstone Grill and Linns. I had Rabbit. Though the unique choices were elk, duck and then fish and steak. My husband had the Gumbo.

Nestled away from the bustling downtown of Cambria, Black Cat Bistro is a charming and cozy dining spot that offers a seasonal menu and a carefully curated wine selection. The restaurant's ambiance is inviting, with white linens and a fireplace adding to its allure. The menu features an array of dishes that are bursting with flavor, showcasing inventive twists on traditional favorites and imaginative combinations of classic ingredients.
There are a lot of great restaurants in Cambria, but I think this was my favorite! Definitely make a reservation, especially on the weekends. Such a cute place with a great ambiance. My only critique, and this is because I'm old, is I wish there was a little bit more lighting so it would be easier to read the menu. But aside from that, we had a lovely experience. The service was terrific, and the food was outstanding. It is not cheap, it is a special occasion place, but the quality of the food is worth it.

What a wonderful, uniquely developed menu! We ordered crab cakes, followed by a delicious lentil soup, and as our main dishes we ordered Mahi-mahi and their most popular dish, scallops. It was a great selection and everything we ordered tasted amazing. Highly recommended!

Good Quality food. Cozy & intimate ambiance. The customer service was great, they treated us to dessert because we waited a while (didn’t seem like a long time) for our food. My food was delicious, especially the lemon cake! I Enjoyed my time here!!

This is exactly the place I needed, with the clam chowder I needed, and the rose I wanted. This might be my new hang out on weekdays. Absolutely perfect. Every spoonful of chowder was perfect, the sourdough bread was perfectly soft and crispy. The rose was bubbly and lovely. I’m a fan. I will be coming back here. The atmosphere has me enjoying the cloudiness outside with some Billie Holiday inside.

Fantastic! Each of our dishes and the paired wines were excellent. This place blew away our expectations - we selected it for the cool name and appropriate menu, but it ended up being an incredible experience. Great service, excellent food and good wine. They obviously really care and it shows!

Amazing food, and very reasonably priced considering the quality and portion size. Our server did seem to have a couple more tables than would have been ideal but our experience did not suffer much from it. Still a 5 star experience.

Great place for a nice, adult dinner out. We reserved our table ahead of time so we didn't wait at all. The service was really good. My fiancé wasn't sure which wine to order because there were so many but our server was really helpful and gave him a few options to try. We got the Brussel sprouts and quail appetizers and they were both so good. I ordered the ribeye steak and he got the lamb shank. This was the best steak I have ever had, tender with some good searing and amazing flavor. He really liked the lamb, it was falling off the bone with a great sauce on top. I would definitely recommend this place but not if you have kids with you. Honestly toward the end someone brought their crying kid in and that was kind of annoying since the place is small.
Lena G — Google review
Dinner was fine. Service was good. Nothing exciting. I had the lamb which was fine. It was served with some basic sautéed veggies and some mashed sweet potatoes. For $43 it wasn’t all that inspired. My 18 year old had a pasta dish which they seemed to enjoy. It seemed overpriced for a vegetarian pasta dish. We had two desserts: the lemon cake and the pot de crème. Both were good. We parked on the street although there was parking in the lot next to the restaurant. The ambience was ok. It was pretty basic and casual.

Latin American restaurant
Boni's Tacos is a Mexican take-out restaurant located in the industrial area of Cambria, near Pacific Premier Bank. Despite its unassuming location, it's highly recommended by locals and visitors alike. The tacos are considered some of the best in the area, with options like authentic pastor and carne asada at reasonable prices. It's perfect for a quick grab-and-go meal or a picnic during your visit to Cambria.
We love Boni’s so much that we hired them to cater our wedding! They were a hit with our guests, as many of them already know how delicious their food is and were exceptional to work with. Cesar was very kind and made the process so easy. He was very informative about my concerns when it came to guests with food allergies and ensured me that everyone would be able to enjoy without worrying. They offered a taco bar option which was perfect for the overall atmosphere we wanted at our wedding! My husband and I always make it a point to enjoy a burrito here whenever we’re in town too. Not only do I recommend them to cater your wedding, but I recommend just eating here if you’re looking for a great meal in Cambria! 💙

The Al pastor tacos and burrito were as tasty as everyone has raves about. Really like that the had 3 sizes of burritos. The junior/small was perfect if you’re not that hungry. The line and the waiting for our food was a bit long- 25 minutes so that was probably the most negative part of our experience. Parking was challenging too. Service was friendly. I can see why this place is so popular but worth a visit.

Boni’s Tacos is a must stop food spot in Cambria! I will definitely be returning! Authentic Mexican food, made with quality ingredients and lots of pride. We love stopping by here after going to Hearrst castle. This is my third trip here and it won't be my last. I ordered the carne and pastor tacos. The beach is absolutely stunning as was the water! The rocks are perfect for rock hounds and treasure hunters alike! However, I want to say, there has to have been a ship that ran ground recently or something because there was oil throughout the rocks as well as in the sand (you couldnt see it) but the smell was strong. I was barefoot and that's when I noticed all of the oil stuck to the bottom of my feet. Made it a challenge to clean off. BUT BUT BUT the park was cool and the squirrels were AWESOME! I know the sign said don't feed them, but she was pregnant(not pictured) and kept saying "please ma'am, can I have a crumb". The bathrooms are clean and stocked with TP. Clean. Will stop again but won't likely go down to the sand.

Barbecue restaurant
Main Street Grill in Cambria is a popular American grill known for its meat-centric menu featuring steak sandwiches, burgers, and ribs. The restaurant offers a sports-bar setting and has garnered numerous positive reviews. Visitors can enjoy Santa Maria-style BBQ, with the tri-tip sandwich being a standout dish served on a crispy French roll. In addition to the delicious meats, Main Street Grill also offers giant hamburgers and shredded pork sandwiches. This establishment is highly recommended for those seeking quality American cuisine in Cambria.
A "must stop" during a trip to Cambria or just passing through while taking a road trip on the famed Pacific Coast Highway! The staff is friendly and the food is beyond awesome, especially the tacos! They are oversized and stuffed with whatever choice of meat you select! Puts some traditional taco shops to shame. The burgers are cooked perfectly and the fries are fresh, hot, and one order is a lot! The onion rings also rock!!! The menu selection has quite a bit of variety. Plenty of seating both indoor and outside. Dining outside is a beautiful experience with the fresh air and observing the town of Cambria. Great ambience with a "beach town" vibe!

Decided to come here due to seeing really good reviews on Google. We were staying down the way in San Simeon and didn't want an expensive sit down meal. We were really impressed with the food. Both the tri tip sandwich and pulled pork were fantastic ! This is a must stop if you love BBQ meats.

My boyfriend and I came here two separate times on our trip because we loved it so much. Food was fantastic both times, super quickly made, friendly staff, and the price for the portions we received was a great value, especially compared to other places in the area!! Lots of indoor & outdoor seating. They give you a number and call it out loud so you can pick it up. Nice system. Bar and football playing as well. What’s not to love. (fries were AMAZING)
Naomi O — Google review
Great food at a reasonable price. You order and pick it up when they call your number. I got the shrimp and chips and my sister wanted the ABC burger. My fries were well seasoned and the shrimp was crispy and paired with tangy cocktail sauce is close to nirvana. My sister's burger was juicy and full of flavor! My only gripe is seating is not very comfortable and it is a bit stuffy in the room. But a must to eat at if you are in Cambria!

The Tri-tip sandwich is a must-try! The most tender Tri-tip I've ever had! My husband got the pulled pork and it too was amazingly delicious! The Ranch Beans were so good. Located in Cambria, CA, Linn's Easy As Pie Cafe is a quaint little spot that offers handmade pies and bakery goods. The cafe is easy to love and afford, with delicious comfort food that can be enjoyed in either the garden patio out back or inside.
Let me start by saying that Linn’s makes THE best beef or pie I have ever eaten. Lots of beef and the crust is so flaky and delicious. Living locally I pick them up frozen to keep on hand. As for my visit to the cafe, it was delicious as always and I’m never disappointed. We had the grilled cheese with tomato soup and the pesto chicken sandwich with potato salad. You can dine inside or out on the patio and you the food comes out quickly. Both items we got were very good and we took some pie to go. Then we hopped over to Linn’s Gourmet Goods to pick up my frozen pot pies to go. Stellar food day in my book.
Deb G — Google review
We stopped by Linn’s just for dessert, and the olallieberry pie was amazing, seriously changed the way I think about pie. It wasn’t overly too sweet and was packed with flavor. Unfortunately, we had already eaten lunch, so we didn’t get to try any of the food, but everything in the store looked delicious. Definitely coming back hungry next time! The staff were friendly, and the place had such a cozy, welcoming vibe. They also have a small market where you can grab some of that incredible olallieberry jam to take home.
Mehrshad E — Google review
This place is an gem in middle of California. It worth swinging by here. Confort food and excellent customer service. I really recommend the Chicken Fresh Pie. Was an amazing experience.
Robertson S — Google review
Good pie; the flavor, the balance between sour and sweet and the pastry crunchiness was right. I suggest having ceramic plates and real forks for a full experience. Coffee a bit too bitter for my taste (over roasted) but I assume it is the way Americans like it. I had to ask for ceramic cup.
Razvan A — Google review
We showed up 20 minutes before Linns closed and despite us being johnny-come -latelies, they served us with great hospitality. We had some of the most delicious soups (the chicken Florentine was divine!) and sandwiches that we have ever had. We are unlikely to get back over again from England soon so we made sure to come back the following day for provisions for the next leg of our journey. Don't sleep on the pies, they were utterly delicious!
J C — Google review
We ordered chocolate cream, the famous olallieberry pie and old fashioned apple pie. The chocolate cream and apple pie were good but not so impressive. The olallieberry was the most disappointing, I wanted to try because of all the good reviews but maybe it’s just overrated and not for me.
B M — Google review
I decided to stop at this bakery before leaving Cambria because of the rave reviews of their Olallieberry pie on Yelp. I had to try it. It was nothing to write home about. I prefer a pie with a buttery flaky crust and this was the kind of soft kind of soggy crust? As to the filling it didn’t have a distinct flavor. I could have mistaken it for plain blueberry filling.
Laura E — Google review
My husband wanted to purchase a pie and Olallieberry was highly recommended by a gal who was at the pier in Avila. Our family thoroughly enjoyed it as you can see! We ate it before I took the photograph. When I was in college I worked at Marie Callender’s Pies and the pie from Linn’s was off-the-hook best!! Thank you, Eric, Donna, Daddy Don, and Anna.

What a wonderful surprise! We love to trythe bakeries when we travel, so found this bakery traveling the coast. It is outstanding! I had an almond croissant that was amazing, subtle flavors, light and flaky. Tried two different scones, also great. Will be back! Highly recommended.

The macaroons as well as the russian tea cookies are delicious!! I came back the next day to order more for the trip back home, the latte we had was also very good. I didn't feel like order from the other pastry dishes because all of them have whipped cream.

A real gem on Main Street. Super friendly staff and good pastries, bread, sandwiches, and coffee bar. Parking is available and seating for max 8 people inside with a few tables and chairs outside when the weather is warm. They take cash, cards, & Apple Pay. If you are intern breakfast and dinner but don’t want to go all in on a big lunch, come by for a quick pastry, sandwich, or coffee.

Perfect spot to grab a sandwich before pretending you’re fancy at Hearst Castle or just trying not to get sand in your lunch at the beach. The staff is friendly and happy to customize your order, which means you can finally live out your dream of asking for “just a smidge less mayo” without judgment. Bathrooms are located outside and require a key—because nothing says quaint bakery charm like walking across the parking lot holding a giant wooden paddle labeled “Restroom.” Speaking of parking, good luck. Consider it your warm-up exercise before carrying sandwiches uphill. Overall, tasty sandwiches, friendly people, and just enough logistical quirks to keep things interesting.

The FRENCH CORNER BAKERY reminds my wife and me of our lovely honeymoon, 55 years ago, in Acapulco Mexico. Yes, it's called "French," but deliciously prepared, lovingly baked, beautifully presented bakery goods are an international pleasure. There's the fresh baked Mexican Bolillos, a football shaped, pillow soft roll, encased in a crisp crust. (Kinda like a baguette.) The French Corner also bakes a selection of fruit filled sweet rolls, bagels, tortas, pies, tarts, cakes and breads. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. In the morning, I have enjoyed conversation with visitors from many countries. Locals tell me, this is their favorite morning stop. Rich expresso and brewed coffee drinks and teas are offered. Sandwiches are made with their fresh multi-grain breads, bolillos and baguettes. We've been coming here for years and strangely enough TheFrench Bakery seems to be getting better. I don't know how this is possible? STUFF: Limited seating, inside and out. Parking in their small lot is free and easy. Everything is wheelchair accessible.

My wife and I travel to Paso Robles often. Almost monthly, from Orange County. Our routine is to drive from wherever we're staying to this bakery, order a couple of sandwiches, and take them to Harmony Cellars a few miles down Highway One to enjoy with a bottle of their excellent Chardonnay. My wife always orders their pork milanesa, and I always get their veggie sandwich, the "Mother Nature". Of course we also have to get a slice of carrot cake or some other sweet for dessert. The place is always busy, but they have plenty of friendly and efficient help to speed things along. The sandwiches are consistently big and tasty. We love everything they do. It's a favorite of locals and tourists alike, so you know it's good.

Nestled in the heart of the East Village, Mozzi's Saloon is a charming dive bar steeped in history and character. Established in 1866, it proudly holds the title of Cambria's last remaining cowboy bar, a nod to its rich past that includes surviving a fire in 1899. Originally functioning as a hotel during Prohibition, this unique establishment has transformed into a beloved local hangout known for its lively atmosphere.
I don’t think they serve food. I had a great happy hour with some locals one day. The first time I showed up to open the bar with Ms. Aubrey. She is a stellar sister to play a game of pool with. We reminisced on years spent living in North Carolina but agreed that Cambria was a special place. The locals here like to play snooker. It’s a sleepy saloon in the afternoon but I think they have live music on weekend evenings. The decor is old west and has enough random stuff on the wall for hours of contemplation. The pool tables aren’t too beat up but I’d take my own stick. The juke box is digital and you can find a bunch of songs. I want to thank Ms Aubrey for turning me on to Zach Bryan who is such a great singer songwriter to share a road trip with. Ramble on folks!

Friendly old school saloon. Cash only bar. Nice vibe in there. A couple of pool tables and vintage Galaga cocktail arcade game. I enjoyed the artwork on the walls!

On my last day in delightful Cambria I found myself in want of some libations, a quick google search found me at the local watering hole which was Mozzi's saloon. The bartender was a very courteous young lady who I enjoyably chatted with during my two or so hours patronizing the bar. This establishment is cash only and pay as you go so be aware. But the prices are very fair (especially during happy hour) and I quite enjoyed myself. If your ever in town stop by for a pint.
Charlie C — Google review
No place for people to sit. It's 4th of July and tourists are flowing in the bar because its open while the the town is closing up at 5p.m. They need tables or seating in the back.

Great place, popped in here one night whilst touring the east coast, was instantly accepted even with being 3 random English blokes

Nestled along Moonstone Beach Drive in Cambria, California, Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill offers a relaxed dining experience with breathtaking ocean views. Whether you choose to dine indoors or on the outdoor patio, you'll be treated to generous portions of seafood, steak, and pasta. The restaurant is known for its surf and turf options and locally-sourced ingredients that are freshly prepared each day. While it's a great spot for meat lovers, vegetarians may find limited options on the menu.
They don't take reservations. We got there around 5, opening time for dinner. Thirty minute wait, strange, as there were mostly empty tables. Maybe to stagger the kitchen duties? No problem, the bar was open, busy, but that makes sense. Ordered nice cocktails for us, and had a seat in the area across the bar. Very nice staff, seating us at our choice. Wait staff helpful and informative. Excellent seafood cakes for starters. Excellent dinner. Great 📸 views.

I will start with the negatives which are not a lot; The wait time can be long because everyone is trying to get seated. We waited like 50 minutes or more and the bar is small. We were on vacation and we didn't have the kids with us. But we had our little bit of wine while we waited, And once we were seated everything was very good. The food was worth it and delicious. I had a shrimp pasta which was amazing. We spent a long time eating and also admiring the ocean views. We also saw a man walking around who looked like the restaurant manager, We absolutely loved that. We have no complaints of the food or drinks. The girl at the bar very friendly and they were working so hard and serving a lot of drinks there. So if you can have the patience to wait I would recommend this place.

We had a DELICIOUS meal at Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill! This is a popular spot as there were people lined up at the door before they opened for dinner! Lots of indoor seating, but it was a nice day so we sat on the patio that had plenty of coverage and views of the ocean. We started with the cajun shrimp and bay scallops on grilled french bread. For our main dishes, I tried the fish tacos and my husband had the salmon. Every bite was mouthwatering and we highly recommend this spot!
Alexandrea G — Google review
Great little spot in small resort area. High quality food in unpretentious seaside restaurant with good ocean views. Large outdoor patio, as well as indoor seating. Varied menu, that also includes plenty of seafood. Some onsite parking with plenty of additional on the street. Service is attentive, while not being overbearing. Great choice when visiting Hearst Castle or exploring the central coast. Has been a small wait each time we have visited.
Scott E — Google review
Amazing restaurant, close to San Simeon. Great , friendly service. Good food, never felt rushed. Sat on the patio, they had overhead heaters and offered wool lap blankets, a nice personal touch. LOVED the lava cake! Please give it a try, when in the area.

Staff recommended Cajun chimp and bay scallop served over grilled french baguette. Sadly three pieces of grilled bread soaked in soup sauce served soggy with tasteless shrimp and scallop. Candid walnut salad was very average with little greens 🥬 (don’t let the photo fool you) mostly walnuts . 🍸 was unremarkable I was too hungry to care after long drive but would not recommend

Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill is one of the top places when you research best restaurants in Cambria. I was extremely disappointed. Hostess didn’t share that I couldn’t order food from the bar so I went to the bar, ordered a drink, sat there and asked for a menu. Then was told I couldn’t. It was a 50 minute wait for a table. I asked the server at my table what he recommended as it was my first time. He recommended the shrimp and scallop tacos and the spicy chicken pasta. I got the pasta. What a disappointment! There was barely any chicken in it. Maybe 4-5 bite size pieces. For $30 i expect a lot more! Luckily I had extra waters at my table since mine was never refilled. I ate 3/4 of my meal before I was asked how it was. Way over priced for what you get! Not sure if I’ll come back!

Restaurant
The Sow's Ear is a charming restaurant located in an old cottage, offering contemporary Californian cuisine and a carefully curated wine list. Chef Salvador Garcia brings his culinary expertise to the table, ensuring a delightful dining experience with high-quality dishes. Guests can savor gourmet comfort food such as lobster pot pie, black Angus pot roast, chicken fried steak, and crusted catfish while enjoying the romantic fireside atmosphere.
I came for the Rack of Lamb. No reservations in saying the best Lamb of my life. From gravy to Mint jelly (which was wonderful; I liked it better than Trader Vic’s) to the ultimate mud pie with French press coffee to the wine, worth every single penny. Let’s not forget the Flower pot bread bowl. Nutty and delicious! Impeccable service!! A little “cozy” euphemism for tight seating is the only reason for not giving 5 stars in the atmosphere category. If you like lamb, do it for yourself. Superb 😍😇 I CHOSE to order the extra delights, like the wine, coffee and dessert. No regrets whatsoever. Thank you so much for the lovely experience and fantastic food, Staff at Sow’s Ear 💕

I would say this place is perfect, for a romantic getaway, but we went with friends and it was just as much fun. A mix of a seafood and steakhouse type of place. I ended up with a pork chop, which I don’t get very often and it fulfilled my needs to say the least. We enjoyed a little bit of the entire menu since we were among friends, but I will definitely be back just be forewarn, is a little warm in there.

The food was INCREDIBLE, the flower pot bread was to die for. Wonderful service and atmosphere!! Our favorite spot so far in Cambria! We had the chowder, Shrimp Scampi Italian style, the fisherman’s stew, and the Filet Mignon (made perfectly to order) all were so wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Wow, what a great time. Been wanting to go here for years. Definitely not disappointed. Great employees, service and the food was delicious 😋 A first class dining experience. A must visit if you are visiting Cambria. Reservations are recommended.

Bread is soggy although it's in heart shape. We ordered Beef Stroganoff and it looks and taste like fast food. Definitely not worth the money. Lucky the Creme Brulee taste ok. Atmosphere is ok if you don't care about taste.

We had the most excellent dinner here.,Erwin our waiter was fantastic and let us order a meal that was not normally on the dinner our menu. It was a Grilled Chicken dish glazed with a peach sauce…so incredibly great and the vegetables and salad were also great. They serve bread in a clay pot. It’s fantastic. Erwin made sure we did not leave as we came in for that specific dish but he said no problem we could have it. He made us two very happy customers. Ask for Erwin. He’s the best!!!!

Had dinner here with my sisters after doing a tour at Hearst Castle. The food was superb the energy was awesome. Me and my sisters enjoyed everything we ordered. I recommend this place if you’re in this area. You won’t be disappointed.

This small restaurant is located in Cambria's quaint downtown strip. We walked in on a Saturday Night around 7 PM with a line of people waiting in the waiting area, however, since we only had a party of 2, we were immediately sat. The ambiance gave a kind of upscale cabin vibe, with white tablecloths, and a center fireplace the the tables were situated around and pig trinkets/ceramics lining the upper shelf that runs on the perimeter wall. Our waiter was very professional and attentive and the food was very good - perfectly cooked, super tasty and adequately priced for an upscale "Fancy" dinner. The menu consist of upscale comfort type food (Clam Chowder, Chicken Fried Steak, Lobster corn dogs, Pork Chops, Rack of Lamb, Filet Mignon, Etc). They serve "Flower Pot" bread with each dinner, which is brown and white bread baked in it's own individual clay flower pot, served warm with butter. You also get a choice of salad or soup with your dinner. Their special the night we went was a Surf & Turf: Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon for $69.95. They also have an assortment of great looking desserts. We will definitely be back to the Sow's Ear next time we are in Cambria!

Harmony Cafe at the Pewter Plough is a charming eatery located in the artist community of Harmony, California. The cafe offers a creative Italian menu with some vegan options and is known for its tasty and light lunch and dinner choices. The ambiance is calm and peaceful, making it a delightful place to enjoy a meal. The chef, Giovanni Grillenzoni, is highly knowledgeable and creative, offering uncommon yet surprisingly good combinations of ingredients in dishes like the bistecca.
The ambiance is unmatched, the old style record player makes you feel so nostalgic and relaxed, the food is phenomenal! We got the king crab pasta and cod fish. The warm bread with olive oil was so good! We are locals and we are so happy we have a restaurant like this in town! It was a beautiful and surreal experience. The chef has a gift!

Tried this place for the first time after many trips to Cambria and enjoyed our dinner. Nice little patio area and our server was very attentive and friendly. Started with the soft shell crab appetizer which has very tasty. Wife had the artichoke ravioli and I had the bake cod with the lemon caper seasoning and both were tasty. Finished dinner with a piece of tiramisu that was delicious. We will definitely consider coming here again.

This quaint little place caught our eye, so we stopped in for lunch. We opted to sit inside, but they have a garden patio, as well. The food & service were wonderful. 4-27-24: Another wonderful visit, but we enjoyed patio dining this time, and delicious pizza and pasta.

Such a wonderful restaurant My fiancé and I visited for the first time and we loved everything about it! The food was amazing and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. The chef prepared the most delicious and authentic Italian cuisine. We would come more often if we lived closer.
Laura S — Google review
In 2015 Chef and owner, Giovanni Grillenzoni, moved HARMONY CAFE 6 miles up Highway 1, to its present location: Cambria California. The eatery offers dining in both on a charming patio and in a small indoor eatery. Chef "Geo" has created an Italian menu that he will not modify. No ingredients may be added or removed, for any reason. His dishes are quite good, but he makes no adjustments to his recipes. So, if you're on a diet, medical, weight reduction, or an ingredient you just don't like order carefully. Even though the restaurant was mostly empty service was very slow. STUFF: Free street parking. Wheelchair accessibility is difficult, especially in the small restrooms.
Cary B — Google review
Amazing food and atmosphere! The chicken pesto pizza was super good, tasted nothing like the America style pizzas, but a true homemade, Italian taste. Affogato and cappuccino were delicious as well. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We loved the little garden seating area and overall atmosphere of this place.

Very tasty, light, and comfortable options for both lunch and dinner at Harmony Cafe. I gotta say, this team is amazing! We liked it so much during lunch that we came back for dinner on the same day. Servers here are very accommodating and polite. The ambience is calm and peaceful. The chef is very knowledgeable and creative. I highly recommend picking the bistecca for dinner which has an uncommon though surprisingly good combination of ingredients to go with it. Keep it up Harmony team. You all rock!

This is the West Coast studio for the famous Lake Mills location. My wife and I visited the Lake Mills studio several times and always wanted to visit the Cambria studio... Not quite a decade later, we got our chance while visiting the Hearst Castle nearby. Great selection of unique pottery items. Friendly staff. Picked up two more items to our existing collection of Ephraim pottery!

The Cambria Center for the Arts and Theatre is a charming little community theatre. I have gone to several different shows there in the last few years and must report that the new improvements to the seating make this a delightful evening of entertainment with every seat in the house having a good view. Nancy green continues to improve the quality of the facility and the quality of the productions. The season ahead for 2014 looks very interesting and promises to be good community theatre! WE just watched something 's afoot last night and it is an intriguing murder mystery with a uprising twist ending. I can't be a spoiler, so you will have to see for yourself! This may be the new upgraded best theatre in Cambria! (I love them both) My wife and I continue to love our local community theatre productions.

Madeline's on Moonstone - Wine Tasting Room is a top-rated spot in Cambria, offering homemade French/American cuisine and an intimate, candlelit setting. The wine tasting room has garnered praise for its friendly and knowledgeable servers who provide detailed information about the wine selections. Guests can enjoy a flight of 5 reds while taking in the stunning ocean view, complete with sightings of dolphins. The patio seating offers a relaxed ambiance with beautiful views of Moonstone Beach across the street.
This is a small wine bar attached to the hotel. Great stop if you are in the area. Wine with a view and small appetizer options (not full restaurant)
Nicole S — Google review
You know, when this place first opened I was really excited there was a spot like this on Moonstone with a spectacular view and cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying some quality time with a friend or two or just hanging out with my dog for a sunset. But it has consistently been more and more of a disappointment every time I come here. I have moved it from my Must Visit list to my Definitely Skip list and this final visit was the last straw. The past several visits I have been ignored by the server for great lengths of time even when not busy. I don’t think it’s me because I have been treated really well everywhere else I’ve been. I don’t expect much, just politeness and efficient service and I am a really good tipper. Maybe it’s because I’m a solo traveler usually and I bring my small dog? She is very cute and well-behaved and we have made so many great friends in this town and we frequent Cambria very often. I will say that this is the most touristy establishment we visit when in town so maybe that’s why the service has been so bad. One of the last times I came here I was ignored for over a half hour without even an acknowledgement. I ultimately left as it was kind of busy and I was hoping it was a one-off. Another time I was treated very coldly and was never checked on after my initial order. I usually order a tasting or a glass or two and a snack. The last couple of times I would have ordered a second glass of wine or a bottle (when tasting) if I had literally been attended to after the initial order. The last time I did a tasting it was right before Thanksgiving and I was trying to decide on a special bottle of wine for my dinner. I was closed out without even asking before the flight was even complete. A second server completed the flight since the first server went off to socialize with their friends. This last time I was ignored for about 15 minutes then finally asked “what do you need?” So awkward. The glass of wine wasn’t delivered until well after the food was. The food was over-microwaved to the point of being weirdly burnt (it was a quiche thing so the eggs got that weird microwave texture) and tough. Pretty gross. I was never asked if I wanted another glass of wine. There was a bad usb speaker blasting top 40 70’s jams and it kept cutting out which was really jarring as I tried to enjoy the incredible sunset. This was topped off by the extremely loud woman talking nonstop on her phone next to me. Not the fault of Madeline’s but just all added up to a crap atmosphere. I was waiting for the server for a while after finishing my glass but she never came and the jacked up music was so unsettling I ended up throwing down some cash at the server’s station and leaving in a hurry. I don’t think I will be back. It should be noted that all of the bad experiences I have had have been when the same server has been attending. She was notably talkative and friendly to everyone else there. I swear I am nice and an over-25% tipper! And I am not looking for a bff just politeness. It really is a bummer. The wine is good and I used to love coming here by myself on Sunday eves after the tourists kind of faded out and I always bring friends here when they are in town. Maybe from now on I will just pack a picnic and a bottle and do my own thing. I think the only time visiting here would be worthwhile is when staying at the Inn as a guest with the complimentary glass. Then you can go sit in the lawn chairs. Otherwise Definitely Skip.
W L — Google review

So we came here hoping it wasn’t too busy and luckily was met with an Allegretto winery tasting. Cheese pairings all great, along with the wine rep and the Madeleine waitress. Excellent and would go back. Burger and dessert also very good. Plus she played good music & got the fires going.

5/2023 Our server for this visit was Chance. He was great! Cheerful and friendly. Answered all our questions in detail about the wine selections. Madeline's on Moonstone at Cambria Shores Inn is a great place for wine tasting. The patio seating has beautiful views of Moonstone Beach across the street. It has a very nice relaxed ambience. Oscar, Taylor and Giovana were the servers today. They were wonderful, very friendly, cheerful. and welcoming. Oscar provided information on the red and white wines for sampling and answered all our questions. You get a complimentary free sampling if you are a guess at this inn. It's $15 for five pours if you are not. Their bottled wines are available for purchase.

After a long hike at seal beach.... Time to relax! Wine menu is excellent. Had a nice glass of Aequera Pinot Noir. Soup of the day was nice and hot, foggy evening, chips very crisp. Ivan was top notch in service and recommendations. If your in Cambria.... Be sure to stop by for a glass. Ron and Irina

The restaurant offers American classic dishes with a West Coast twist, featuring nightly seafood specials and locally-caught seafood accompanied by fresh seasonal vegetables. Guests can enjoy their meals at indoor tables or relax in one of the three outdoor areas, including a grassy, shaded lawn with comfy lawn chairs.
We had a fabulous dinner here. I had the special, which is the Striped Sea Bass. My husband had the duck. Very tasty. We also had the Crème Brûlée, which was quite heavenly. Cozy and homey interior.

No need to wait an hour in line for other places when this exists. Very beautiful, whimsical little place. Staff all greet you warmly upon walking in and the food was great. This was our second option due to the SeaChest being so busy (and the vibes being off and unpleasant!) but I am so so glad it landed us here instead. Even the customers around us were so pleasant and kind. Will definitely bring my family next time I’m in town.

We came in at 8:30PM (30 mins before closing) and they warmly welcomed us in! Our waitress was super sweet and energetic her recommendations were awesome. The fish and chips (no photo sorry) was SOOO yummy! And their burgers were delicious. I would 100% recommend. Was super affordable as well!!

We went here two nights in a row bc it was just so delicious. First night we got the salmon and I split the 12 oz steak. Everything perfectly cooked with delicious sauces and flavors. Wild rice is fragrant and mash potatoes are so creamy. Next night we got a steamed clam starter, sea bass special, pork chop, and penne pasta. All so so delicious, definitely best pork chop I’ve ever had!! Huge servings. High end place, worth the price for sure. Service was very attentive and friendly. Dog friendly, we got a nice outdoor seat.

We went here to celebrate our anniversary; so I will be brief, We Ordered a Chicken dinner and a Pork chop dinner. Chicken breast was small, rubbery skin (awful) maybe 2 tsps. of gravy (not good!) Pork Chop was boring not much flavor, had to ask twice for bread, Ordered pear/walnut salad and it was good. Mashed potatoes were good, broccoli was over cooked, waitress was nice but forgetful and not very attentive , Waitress told us that three other tables around us had complained about their food. she just apologized. We have been at this restaurant several times and we use to love the place but now Yuck at best ! Paid 100.00 including a tip for a bad meal. So disappointing.
Paul — Google review
Wait staff was extremely kind and responsive, can’t say a single negative thing about them! The food was a miss though. Lobster bisque had undisclosed mushrooms in it and tasted more like a tomato basil soup without any real lobster flavor in it. Other entrees were over seasoned and seemed to be trying really hard to be “unique” or “interesting” when a simple salmon or meat entree would have been more than enough. Wines were nice and the atmosphere was very comfy and intimate.

2025-07-18 Update Have eaten here three more times and always enjoy the food and service. Love the rack of lamb and the wild rice that comes with most of their dishes along the broccoli that is always cooked perfectly. Had a wonderful dinner at the Indigo Moon. We sat in their beautiful and spacious patio that had plenty of space heaters to keep us comfortable on a cold cloudy evening. I wife had the scallops and I had the duck breast and both were excellent! The menu had a good variety of offerings. We finished with a hot apple and cherry crumble topped with a scoop ice cream that was perfect on a cold evening. Our server and the rest of the staff were very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!.
Peter C — Google review
Meh! We all ordered different dishes. Beef were ordered medium (pink interior) and all came very well done, all of them. The burger was ordered medium with cheese and bacon and it came well done and no cheese and no bacon. We were looking forward to try the Caesar salad with anchovies (as they should) but it came dry with no dressing, and 2 flaps of anchovies on top of it. Kind of disappointing. The risotto was dry and overcooked and under-salted. The server was very nice and polite but did not know anything about wines despite she initially said she could help us selecting the wine. The atmosphere was pleasant and got an extra star because they are one of the few restaurants closing after 8pm. Big plus.

Tucked away in Cambria's East Village, The Café on Bridge St is housed in a historic home and offers a perfect spot for lunch after exploring the Fiscalini Preserve or visiting the Cambria Historical Society Museum. This hidden gem is popular with locals for its great food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. The quaint throwback interior and various seating options inside, out front, or in the back patio create a charming atmosphere to enjoy their delicious sandwiches and soups.
Wonderful little sandwich shop in Cambria. Kind of a hidden gem! Based on our daughter's glowing recommendation, we had lunch with her and her boyfriend at The Café on Bridge St. Seating was limited, however we found a nice table behind the restaurant, nestled up against the hill. My wife and I ordered the hot pastrami. It was delicious and filling. I washed it down with a Stella. There are lots of sandwiches to choose from, hot or cold, meatless, etc. Very quaint and homey feel, shared with loved ones. Highly recommended!

Awesome place. We had burgers and we sub the chips (no fries) with sides of salads (one potato salad and one coleslaw salad), everything was delicious. We also took a chocolate chip cookie, it was perfect! The place looks very pleasant and the patio is gorgeous.

Recommended by a local, glad we went! He had the portobello sandwich with pesto and artichokes. I had the pastrami with coleslaw. Everything was over the top good. Portions are wildly generous. And the place itself is charming. Great soda, beer, and wine list too.

LOVED our lunch here! What a cute little place. While it took a little while to order, the gentleman running the register was kind and engaging, telling us a few jokes along the way and helping us choose from the MANY sandwiches, burgers and salads available. I got a pesto chicken wrap but my wife was the real winner with her pork sandwich that was stuffed with roasted meat on a fresh kaiser roll. Both were very good. If it's a sunny day sneak on back and eat on the back patio. It's a cozy little spot to enjoy your meal among the trees and birds.

Guests can also enjoy the laid-back atmosphere with some background music in the garden outside. Visitors have raved about the grilled cheese sandwich special paired with tomato soup and the lavender London fog drink.
This place can make a significant difference in starting your day off right! It is all about homely tones, and cozy seats. There is even a basket of blankets to keep yourself warm! We soaked up on vitamin D while munching on a breakfast croissant (which was perfect, by the way). The iced chai latte was smooth and creamy, I could detect spicy notes. The staff was friendly, and they made our experience special.

I stopped here while traveling up the coast recently because I had a taste for something sweet. They had the most amazing fresh apple crisp cheesecake bread! It wasn't until I had traveled much further up the coast that I realized I may have lost my creditcard there. When I called they said yes they had found it and were more than happy to mail it to my home in Iowa. Not only amazing bakery but nice honest people!

Black Hand Cellars, located in Cambria, offers a vintage speakeasy ambiance that harks back to the 1920s. The focus here is on red wines, with an emphasis on Rhone and Bordeaux varieties along with a selection of hard ciders. While the vineyard and production facility are situated in Paso Robles Wine Country, the tasting room has been an integral part of the Cambria community since 2009.
Very good wine Usually, I don't like southcoast Cabernet blends or Cabernet . But these were both very tasty. The grenash was also nice. Bought a bottle of the red blink will be recommending to friends and customers.
Tim P — Google review
During our vacation in Cambria, CA, we explored several wineries, but our visit to Black Hand Cellars was a standout. After grabbing coffee across the street, we wandered into this charming winery and were warmly greeted by one of the owners, whose hospitality set the tone for an exceptional experience. Intrigued by their wine tasting, we dove right in, sampling their full range of wines. Each pour was a delight, with bold, memorable flavors that showcased the winery's craftsmanship. The unique bottles and creative labels, especially the Bootlegger which at that time was label-free; nod to prohibition-era charm, added a playful touch to the experience. We couldn't resist purchasing a few bottles, including the Bootlegger, which paired perfectly with the season finale of MobLand, its rich, distinctive taste elevating our viewing night. The wines were so impressive that we're already planning to order more online. Beyond the stellar wines, the personal connection we formed with the owner through engaging conversations made the visit truly special. Among all the wineries we visited in Cambria, Black Hand Cellars stood out for its exceptional wines, warm atmosphere, and memorable hospitality. We can't wait to return and highly recommend you visit to create your own unforgettable experience.

Great little winery in the heart of Cambria. The ambience is unique in itself with a nautical vibe. All the wines were great and also got to experience tasting some ciders. Staff was very friendly and loved the stories behind the wine. Loved the names of some of the wines such as "The Heist" and the "The Deal Maker"! Both were awesome wines! Well worth a stop during a road trip on US1 Pacific Coast Highway. Cambria is a nice little town and a visit here will enhance the Cambria experience.

INCREDIBLE!!! Is the best way to describe the entire collection of wines being produced by BLACK HAND CELLARS. My background is food and wine... and not to toot my own horn, but I was a buyer for more than a few 3 & 4 star restaurants. The collection from Black Hand could easily be paired with just about ANY menu. Do yourself a favor.... go taste for yourself. Chances are, Tom the wine maker will be your host... and he truly knows his stuff! C Note & Deal Maker.... + + + I hope you enjoy your experience as much as I did! ! CHEERS!!

I enjoy visiting various stores like Among Friends, Garden Shed, Grow, and Junk Girls. If you go to Garden Shed, don't miss the opportunity to explore the charming shops along Burton Drive. Some notable places worth checking out include Spellbound Herbs, Olivers Twist, Amphora Galley, and A Matter of Taste. The Garden Shed itself is a fantastic garden center housed in a historic tin creamery dating back to the 1890s on Main Street.
This place is like a magical holiday experience! An enchanting store, it has plants, and creative planting ideas. It might seem like a small-format store, but opens to a large space. There are delightful pieces related to gardening that celebrate color and character. The store bag they give you has a pretty posy on it!

This place is beautiful and full of hidden botanical treasures. There is a vast selection of succulents to chose from, all thoughtfully cared for and artistically displayed. We really enjoyed waking through their gardens. The staff was also very kind and knowledgeable. One of their employees, Jessie, was very patient and friendly with all of our questions. We'll definitely visit again.

It’s a nice place, a lot of things to look at. The plants and candles are my favorites. They also have few areas in the back you could go and check out.
Alexander W — Google review
I just LOVE this place. What looks like one store turns into 5 when you walk into the back. The stuff is a bit pricey but you are going to find things that aren’t readily found other places. In other words, it’s worth it. A shop owner told me that this used to be a mining area, and they basically just turned it into shops. There’s housewares to crystals to fountains to chintzy little items. It’s quite a good experience - you can easily wander through all the stores for at least an hour there is so much stuff. Lovely little historic set of stores!
Deckard C — Google review
Hands down one of the most unique shops in Cambria! Deceptive from the front as it’s seems like a small shop but once you pass through you realize it’s a wonderland of home decor and garden items, the stuff you never knew you needed!
Brian B — Google review
The garden shop is a must-see for people who like succulents. They have one if not the largest collectionoff succulents outside most nurseries. They carry more succulents than in the Cambrian Nursery. They also have a larger variety of succulents then the one him Morro Bay. It is a collection of stores owned by different owners selling the different Wares from clothes to jewelry to knick knacks and other things. The helotrop are kind of difficult to find but I believe that they have one of the best selection of Helotrops also. PlanTo stop by you will not be disappointed with the collection of shops.

Hearst San Simeon State Park, one of the oldest in the state park system, offers a rugged and natural experience with its various preserves. Visitors can explore the Santa Rosa Creek Natural Preserve, San Simeon Natural Preserve, and Pa-nu Cultural Preserve. The park features stunning coastal views and the chance to observe elephant seals at certain times of the year. Nearby Pismo Beach is a popular spot for beach activities like sunbathing, surfing, and horseback riding.
We love camping at Hearst San Simeon State Park. The campground is primitive with pit toilets. There is a dump station and water station for trailers and rv's. Showers are available at the upper campground using tokens. Close to hiking trails and the beach. Pet friendly!! Internet is poor but you can get one bar to make calls. Near the village of Cambria and clise to Hearst Castle

Overall the area is very nice. The hike was pretty with wildlife around but the trails have not been maintained well. The loop couldn't be completed because the bridges was out without being marked at the start and in many places the trail is overgrown.

Really beautiful park, we stayed in the primitive camp spot, there weren't any rocks or anything like that so the ground was really smooth and nice for sleeping on. We were able to do a fire pit, came with a picnic table and water spit about nearby for washing dishes. Everyone was pretty compliant with noise at night which was great.

This place is absolutely incredible. The beach itself is beautiful and has some nice sand to come. And spend the day, but the most spectacular part of this beach is the hike that runs north of the beach along the bluffs. It goes back about 2 miles and has some stunning views of the coast. You can crawl down onto some of The Rocks and see fantastic ocean tide pools and waves breaking. Right in front of you, you can smell the eucalyptus trees. Mixed with the salty ocean air And it will invigorate you. I highly recommend you come and visit this park and take that walk. You will come out of it feeling so good.
Timothy R — Google review
My daughter and I absolutely adore spending time at this beautiful beach. It offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere, making it the perfect escape from our busy lives. The soft sand is impeccably clean, and the gentle waves create a soothing sound that enhances our relaxation. We often enjoy long walks along the shoreline, collecting seashells and watching the sunset cast vibrant colors across the sky. It truly feels like our own little paradise.
Abdul F — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous. Be ready for a lot of stairs. Even the ground floor tour has a lot. The weather at the Castle is much hotter than down below. They only have portable bathrooms up the hill and at the Visitors Center right now. They are extremely sensitive about you not touching anything and staying on the blue carpet. The upstairs tour is a smaller group and much more enjoyable. We had a very condescending male tour guide for the Grand room tour. I wish I could remember his name. Hopefully you all don't have him. He was short with dark hair. Knowledgeable but not my favorite. I wish they had a tour of the grounds. It is all beautiful and very peaceful.

It’s one of the only places you can take a trail ride on a Clydesdale in the U.S.! I highly recommened this experience!

Sara is great ! She brings you into her world of the Clydesdales. You can tell she is proud of her family and the tradition she carries on. Go visit these magnificent animals..you won't be disappointed!

A rare opportunity to ride well trained Clydesdale horses without the resources needed to own your own gentle giant! Chloe and Sydney have the ride perfected from start to finish.
Austin G — Google review
So I went with my partner for her bday on October 17th and it was easily the best trail riding experience we've ever had, potentially the best we'll ever have. You have to book via text message and they'll let you know their availability. We texted the day before just hoping to get lucky since we discovered them last minute and they fortunately had 2 spots. So the pros: The staff is very kind and awesome. We rode with Tara and Chloe and they were just the best. The ask you on how comfortable you feel going on a ride, not on how skilled of a rider you are, and then match you with a horse accordingly. For our ride, Tara led the way and Chloe checked in with us in the middle and back to make sure we were doing ok. The horses are all really chill. The ride itself is pretty long. I forgot to time it, but in a 2 hour time slot we spent a vast majority of it on the actual ride. The views on the ride were pretty great. You do get to see the ocean and all that and you get pretty elevated. The Cons: I'm a 6ft 2inch tall 205lb guy and I don't see how any horse I ever ride will ever be as great as riding a Clydesdale. Big shout out to my horse Belle, who was perfect. I also want to note that none of the horses seemed nervous around people. They let us pet some of the other horses (and donkeys!) after the ride before we left, and all the horses (and donkeys) were very friendly. I really think that speaks to how well the Covell Ranch team treats their horses. They all looked well taken care of and healthy and they acted like horses who knew they could trust people. Even the pup who just wanted to play fetch with her pine cone was perfectly trained and very friendly! Again, I just think it speaks volumes about the Covell ranch team and how much they care about their animals. So a big thank you to Tara and Chloe from Shiraz and Rachel (who has been beaming about the experience all weekend). We will be back!

Creekside Gardens is a charming small-town cafe and diner in Cambria, offering a laid-back atmosphere and delicious all-day breakfast options. The cafe features a spacious outdoor patio, perfect for enjoying meals with friends and family. The menu includes classic cafe fare such as burgers, sandwiches, egg scrambles, omelets, and salads at affordable prices. Visitors can also explore the adjacent Rich Man Poor Man antique store after brunch.
Amazing brunch/ breakfast spot. Reasonable prices especially with it being in the area. We got the two egg breakfast with bacon and a biscuit (so fluffy and warm 10/10) and a bacon burger. Had the sweetest waitress and overall the restaurant was so cute and honestly would come again for when we visit again.

Great place for breakfast or lunch! Our sandwiches were delicious. We brought our dog and it was very comfortable on the outdoor patio.

So, we originally stopped at Robin's but were told they were short staffed and there would be at least a 10 minute wait. There appeared to be empty tables everywhere though. So, we headed around the corner to Creekside Garden. The staff was friendly and helpful. The patio was comfirtable and welcoming. The found was so very good. My husband had a turkey fresno cheese sandwich with fries. The peppers were cooked perfectly for the sandwich and the fries yummy. I had beef fres.o and cheese sandwich with potato salad . The meat was perfect, peppers delicious and the potato salad was amazing. We will be back as the experience was better than we've had at Robin's.

This is one of our favorite breakfast spots in Cambria. It's located in a small shopping mall off of the Main downtown area. They seat parties quickly and have good food and service. The inside of the restaurant isn't anything spectacular, but the outdoor area (dog friendly) has lots of shade, trees and beautiful plants to look at - we always sit outside. They also have plenty of heaters outside if it's cold. They have brunch options which come with fruit, a drink of choice and your meal. The eggs are always perfectly cooked and have super golden yolks and always taste farm fresh. They serve lunch as well, however we have only been for breakfast. I would definitely recommend trying them out for an easy-going breakfast, brunch or lunch.

We liked the outdoor patio and day next to a fountain. No view or sound of a creek though. The service and food was great! Hue vos rancho and the roast beef sandwich were delicious! Just go!

During a recent out-of-town trip, we stumbled upon a charming local winery nestled in the heart of a picturesque coastal town in Cambria. Initially, we had planned to make reservations for a wine tasting after researching online a week prior, but I lost track of time and forgot to book. To our delight, upon arriving without a reservation, we were warmly welcomed into the cozy, inviting establishment. The tasting experience was exceptional. We sampled their full range of wines, each one showcasing the winery’s craftsmanship and unique character. The atmosphere was enchanting, with a perfect blend of rustic charm and relaxed elegance, making it an ideal setting for a memorable afternoon. The staff member who guided us was outstanding; friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate. They took the time to share fascinating details about the winery’s history, winemaking process, and the distinct qualities of each wine, elevating our experience. We were so impressed that we couldn’t resist purchasing several bottles to enjoy at home. This winery is a true gem, and we’re already looking forward to returning during our next visit to Cambria. We’ll be sure to make a reservation next time and highly recommend this delightful spot to anyone passing through!

A wonderful experience! My boyfriend and I went wine tasting for our anniversary and had an excellent time! Our table was set up when we arrived with five types of wine and our selected add one. I definitely recommend getting the cheese pairing with it! The woman who worked there was very kind, welcoming, and explained all the wine we tried. 10/10 experience

Wonderful experience, and excellent wines. Just as important, they wanted to keep their customers as well as themselves safe while they share their outstanding Pinot Noir's. BTW, get the cheese pairing.

From the moment I made the reservation, Reyna came through like a champion. She is friendly, organized and SUPER knowledgeable. But she never comes off as pretentious. That's tough to pull off! We were alone when we arrived; however, a couple of other big parties came in while we were doing our tasting. Despite it being crazy, we never felt rushed. She moved efficiently and effortlessly through the groups. Will definitely return!

Located in the former Bank of Cambria building, The Vault Gallery is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. It features stunning works by prominent plein air painters and contemporary pieces by artists like Billy Zane. Additionally, visitors can explore nearby galleries such as Ephraim Pottery, which offers unique pieces by owner Kevin Hicks along with handcrafted furniture and lamps. Customers have praised the gallery's attentive service and diverse selection of beautiful art and jewelry.
My husband and I have been going to the vault gallery since they first opened up in 1991. We considered Laylon a true friend. We have bought many beautiful pieces from her through the course of the years. Mark Beck, Barry Mastellar, Leslie Barber and other many pieces. Laylon is a consumate professional, warm, and truly wants her clients to go home with a subject they will always cherish. We return from Portland Oregon once a year to see what's new. Always a joy to visit!

I own some of Fredrick Stephens art that I purchased when he was just starting. I offered it to Laylon and got a not so nice response. She said “NO- his work is way better now”. The art I bought is why he got contracts with galleries and they are his originals. All of his work is absolutely AMAZING! But Apparently not to her! Kindness and respect for others and artists you represent should come first. In this case though, not even a kind gesture whatsoever. I truly want the best for everyone so God bless Laylon and above all else, Fredrick Stephens!

Mojos Village Bean is a charming coffee shop located in Cambria, offering a delightful selection of organic coffee and freshly baked pastries. The shop opens early to cater to morning cravings, serving up delicious breakfast sandwiches and lattes made with Central Coast Coffee Roasters beans. In addition to their coffee offerings, the shop also boasts a tempting array of ice cream flavors from Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Lab.
We walked in here because I wanted a hot chocolate and husband was thinking about coffee. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the kind young lady very happily. I asked her about the hot chocolate, telling her I had a bad hot chocolate at another location the night before. She stated that she really like the chocolate there so she recommends it. She also recommended a Mexican hot chocolate but I took her word and got the regular hot chocolate. My husband got the mocha coffee. We were both very happy with our drinks and would definitely stop there again. One thing we did love as soon as we walked in other than the kind young lady was that it smelled really good inside. We have a 1 year old and an infant at the time so we carry a big stroller for both and always make sure we can get into places with the stroller. This place is not the biggest but is spacious enough for us with our big stroller. :) Will definitely be here again.

Reviews of this area might be a bit misleading. It’s a charming beach town that heavily relies on tourists. We checked out a bunch of coffee shops, restaurants, and convenience stores, and while they were all okay, they were all touted as being amazing. This little place had two rocking chairs and a few board games. It was pretty cozy, but it wasn’t jaw-dropping as some reviews suggest.

The owner is super nice, the drinks are amazing. We got a decaf mocha iced - super yum great flavor and a pumpkin spice chai - the pumpkin pie was present for the flavor def a huge hit and will be coming back for more.

The sign on the door said 7:30am open, it was 7:15am and she was open. Yay! We got dirty chai and mocha, both are coffee based. Perfect sweetness for me on both. The dirty chai was delicious and the mocha tasted more like Mexican chocolate. Mary was very nice, she was observant and saw me taking photos and said “Hold on? I got the perfect sign”. Indeed. They don’t charge extra for soy, oat or other types of milk. There’s pastries and small breakfast items. Ice cream and sweets.
My L — Google review
I had the best mocha ever in this place! Josh, the owner, is a coffee expert and literally made our afternoon. I was also able to get a great vegan and gluten free bagel. It had been a long time since I was able to get one. Josh's wife also makes some great vegan pastries. I highly recommend you stop by here if you are visiting Cambria!
Marina S — Google review
Good coffee and bagels, but it is completely lifeless looking inside now after the owner switch. Beautiful inside mural was painted over with an ugly tan color. No more chess or checkers, I get the visual he is going for but this is beach town cambria not the Midwest.

The Piedras Blancas Lighthouse, named after the white rocks in the area, has a rich history dating back to 1875. The lighthouse lens is well-preserved and offers an amazing sight with its intricate details and pristine condition. Located on California's Central Coast, it provides a remote and beautiful setting for visitors to enjoy the coastline and wildlife. Additionally, there are opportunities for activities such as walking tours and hiking to the nearby elephant seal rookeries.

In Perfect condition, this Lighthouse lens (the actual light and its motor) is pristine in all ways. It's just very Amazing too see up close. The detail, the old spokes of the motors wheels and spindles and look at that thick gorgeous cut and detailed glass!!! Wow. Right now, in October, you can also take the walking tour of the hundreds of Scarecrows in Cambria and plenty of them are in this area of the Lighthouse Light/lens.

Great to see after going on the tour at the light house. I hope they get the funds to and the additional 30ft and lens and restore it to its original glory.

A beautiful and remote location asking California's Central Coast. This location is a must visit location for viewing the pristine coast line and wild life. Despite some areas being closed due to winter storms, visitors can still enjoy the breathtaking scenery and serene atmosphere.

Great, quiet and beautiful view. You do have to travel through a neighborhood and I am sure there's the possibility of a Karen or Richard encounter if one of the home owners is having a bad day but the view is absolutely worth the drive with a slow speed limit. A must stop in cambria if you're into quiet and serene views, with the kids, pets, romantic pictures or even for the lone wanderer. Note that at the time of review, the staircase is out, they're in the middle of restoration and the dog poop bag dispenser is out. DO NOT LET THAT DETER YOU FROM A WONDERFUL VIEW.

The Cambria Christmas Market is a must-see holiday event that transforms the night into a mesmerizing display of lights and festive cheer. This annual spectacle, located along Highway 1, offers an enchanting experience for visitors of all ages. The market features a variety of food vendors and a marketplace at the top, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy. With well-organized transportation options and a peaceful atmosphere, it's an ideal place to immerse yourself in the holiday spirit.
So many lights!!! They have hand made and unique Christmas gifts and decorations from around the world. It’s a magical place with live music, campfires, Santa Claus and so much more! There is plenty of food and drinks to choose from and many different sweets and treats.
Wimmer's S — Google review
We had an awesome family time at Cambria Christmas Market, food was very good, the lights were amazing, it is evident the amount of work it took to set all of them up is wild. Logistics are incredible. I recommend getting there early, and maybe try weekdays instead of weekends, to avoid large groups (although it's pretty much impossible).
Sergio H — Google review
Beautiful lighted gardens, displays, and portrait photo ops. Lots of artisian, food, and unusual booths. Large areas to meander around & be in awe over with the lighted Christmas theme. Several Christmas history station displays (like St. Nicholas). Very crowded with limited parking. Prices are high on most everything. Location is at the Cambria Pines Lodge and adjacent gardens. Food services and drop pots.
John W — Google review
The lights were amazing as they are every year. The staff were disappointing. Most of them were grumpy or rude which was never our past experience. Sad for what is supposed to be a festive event! There also seemed to be a lot of large dogs at the event this year and the owners are too busy shopping to watch what the dogs are doing.
Scott S — Google review
What a fun place to go! When you hear shuttle you do not think of luxury busses. They have over 3,000 lights and takes months to set up. Bring your warm clothes.
Gina R — Google review
Our favorite Christmas lights event yet! So magical🤩 I wasn't a fan of the hot cocoa but the giant homemade cookies and the bread pudding were exquisite 👌 😋 All the booths and everything inside is pretty pricey so come prepared to spend some $$. Save up and try the food and treats!:) The only activity that cost extra was the $5 train ride but it's worth it:) So many photo ops all over!! But too many people in the way to get good shots. The last hour was the best because not many people there. The musician was fantastic. A lot of walking so bring comfortable footwear. Weather was slightly cold. Thanks for the free shuttles. Such a fun time!
Jeanette H — Google review
It was a great time here. However, I would like to see a loop if possible. Getting to the nursery and back was like swimming against the current. Maybe golf carts to move people back to a different part or make some walking traffic lines near that section of the lights? I'm not sure how it would work. With that said, the foot traffic does get much better later in the night. The lights are fantastic, and you can see they do go through a great effort to make this pretty awesome. The food is a little expensive, but expected. Overall, this is one of the best Christmas lights setups I've seen, if not the best. (Fresnos Christmas Tree Lane is very cool, but a drive-through outside of two designated days) I'm actually surprised that there isn't a paid photographer section (outside of photo spots and a booth). I might just look into doing that next year! 😀

This was by far the friendliest place that I walked into on the entire street. Fun people, and delicious baked goods. ( you know, the kind that don't taste like they're full of preservatives with cheap ingredients. These are really good!) And dog approved! Dog cookies were a hit as well.

I JUST came to this place about five minutes ago and might I say I’m obsessed enough to whip out my phone to write them a review right after. The owner’s father greeted us and was just the sweetest guy. He walked us through each of the flavors, recommending his personal favorites, as well as some which I would enjoy. They had samples of most of their flavors, making it easier to make a decision. Despite these samples however, it was so hard to choose between so many amazing cookies. We tried an orange-vanilla flavor that reminded me of a creamsicle, as well as a triple chocolate with coconut bits. At an amazing price point, I would highly recommend coming here to indulge in a much deserved sweet treat!

Went yesterday due to the good reviews, but something is amiss here. The oh joy were so dry they immediately crumbled into tiny pieces onto the ground when picking one up out of the cellophane bags they package them in. The lemon didn't fall apart but they were not 4.7 on Google scale. Did we come on a bad day? When were these cookies baked?
Laurie S — Google review
The sugar cookie was my favorite. Honestly all the flavors I tried were delicious. They definitely know how to cookie!!!
Rachel C — Google review
We've been buying these cookies whenever we're in Cambria for many years and we're never disappointed. The cookies are some of the best tasting we've ever had and they are big cookies. It's a pretty good value for the money. Our favorites are the Cinnful and the Nutless Wonder. But, they also have chocolate chip and peanut butter and several others to choose from. They're all good. And, we can attest that they freeze well and still taste good when thawed. The store changed ownership in the past year, but the quality and taste of the cookies is still the same. However, now they bake twice per day, so now they don't sell out so quickly. One thing you have to remember, though, is that they're closed on Tuesdays. So, plan accordingly. You can't go wrong at Red Moose. Their cookies are the best and they have plenty of different flavors, so you'll be able to find one that makes you happy. I highly recommend you try them out.

Had a vegan chicken Bahn Mi. Really appreciated the vegan protein option. Not much flavour or sauce, but the ingredients were fresh and healthy and the bread wasn't soggy which was great. It did cost $20 and was quite small which I thought it should be $13-15.
Violet B — Google review
Truly awful experience. Five out of the seven package items I purchased were expired and 3 of them were marked as 50% off with an original price as $8.05 and saw that I was charged full price. And again – they were expired! See video clip Realizing this, I went back into the store and exchanged one item and returned the other four. They gave me a new adjusted receipt (uploaded), assuring me that what was on that receipt is what would be reflected on my bank statement. They also gave me a laughable “sorry”, and added that they are good about keeping up with their fresh and perishable stock, but not so much on pantry items. Why would they even admit that to me? It just shows how lazy they are and that pantry items are not as important probably because they are less likely to go unnoticed if they were to reach expiration. Checked my bank statement and saw that they only refunded me for the tea and one of the Items are full price at $8.05 that was supposed to be 50% off (see screenshot). I basically gave them $16.10 as a donation. I give up on their incompetence. It’s not about the $16.10 either – it’s about the principles and business practices of this natural food market. I will never come back here again and will accept the loss. I can’t believe I’m even saying this, but I almost wish someone will shoplift a bunch of groceries and high-end items to make up for my loss. Bottom line – check the expiration dates and make sure you leave the store with a receipt.

A nice little natural food type market in a truly wonderful little artists town on the Central California coast! What's more to want! Good stock for a small town, but the prices are surely "small town" (high). This place sure made our stay in Cambria more enjoyable, and delicious!

As a Cambria resident, I shop almost exclusively at True Earth. From the moment Joe and Jolene took over and transformed the store, I felt like I won the lottery. Their commitment to nutrition, sustainability, and community is evident in every product they carry. They don’t just stock shelves — they thoughtfully curate each item with care and integrity. Over the years, my gratitude has only deepened. We are truly fortunate to have such passionate advocates for healthy, organic living right here in our small town. Thank you for all you do!

Always great as a natural foods alternative to the "regular" grocery store. Pretty tasty options in the deli too!

Nice local market with all types of groceries. Recommend the locally made sandwiches for a quick snack during the day. Great vegetarian options.

My goodness - that chickpea Tuna sandwich is one of the best I’ve ever had. A vegan girls dreams! Very vegan friendly spot with lots of healthy options. Thank you true earth for all you do for your community!

Wine store
Bar
Fermentations, located in the East Village and on Main Street, is a popular spot offering wine tasting, gourmet foods, and a variety of wines for purchase. The place is known for its fun and friendly atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a diverse selection of wines and indulge in a FIVE dollar wine tasting flight with their choice of any 5 wines from an extensive collection. Additionally, the shop offers reasonably priced prosciutto, cheeses, and olives to complement the wine experience.
Cute little wine shop with a nice owner. We tried the wine tasting at $2 a sip and even bought 1 that we liked home. They rotate the wines in the tastings every so often so it's not the same. Will be stopping by if we come to town again.

Wonderful place!! Great for wine tasting if you like a little bit of everything. Good location too, in the middle of a very walkable town.
Caprica H — Google review
I really love this place. They focus on boutique affordable wines from the local area. The tasting fee is incredibly reasonable and the atmosphere is cool. They rotate their wines a lot so sometimes I love what’s available other times it’s just OK. Overall, I totally recommend checking this place out, plus, downtown Cambria is just awesome!

Trina was a wonderful help. They have a great variety of local and imported wine. Don’t skip it as you go through town. One of the best prices we found on tasting as well
Dana B — Google review
Go here. Unbeatable FIVE dollar wine tasting flight of your choice of any 5 wines from a big selection. Also for sale are reasonably priced prosciutto, cheeses, and olives to go with your wine. This is a delightful wine bar that succeeds because it doesn't take itself too seriously like big city wine bars. An air of, "Everyone is welcome!" is the general vibe of this place and it is fantastic to feel but at the same time is not full of scumbags, d-bags, or jerks :) The service was quick and attentive, and Shery and Pat were genuinely warm and welcoming. Shery was specially sweet and took the time to tell each customer a little about the wine they selected and she did so in a genuine and friendly manner even though she does it several times. Check this place out. It's def worth a stop.

This was our favorite tasting during our wine escapade down the coast. You can pick any 5 wines from an array of different options. While they emphasize California varieties, this place has some other types from all over as well. On top of that, the service was excellent. These people know their wine and are incredibly friendly to everybody.

Ron was great. Wine was great too.

The Squibb Houses is a charming bed and breakfast located in the village of Cambria, offering Victorian-inspired rooms with en suite bathrooms and fireplaces. The 1887 establishment provides a cozy stay with its quaint decor and comfortable amenities. Guests can enjoy a personal touch to their breakfast experience, although some items are store-bought. This place was absolutely adorable! Stayed here with one of my friends and we enjoyed our time immensely! We also went next door as recommended for dinner and ate way too much amazing food! Everyone was super helpful and the breakfast the following morning was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back and we'll definitely bring more people to experience this lovely little town.

Little paradise in Cambria - if you get the chance, stay here. A lovely place with very friendly hosts. The building is from 1877, beautifully renovated with much attention to detail. Stayed at the Parlor Room - very quiet, comfortable, cozy and clean and with beautiful furniture. Breakfast was amazing: a diverse warm and cold buffet with fresh berries, eggs, several bread and jam options, honey and good coffee. Thank you for the good rest!

Had an amazing stay at this BB. Our room was sweet and cozy, created a pleasant atmosphere to connect with my friends. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and we enjoyed speaking with the staff. It is in a great location surrounded by shops/cafes/restaurants. Will definitely be coming back.

We stayed for one night at the Squibb House at our California Trip and absolutely enjoyed it. The house is really charming and as you open the door it feels cozy and like home. In the living room we found some cookies and there was a small kitchen with tea and coffee. The room was very nice as well, it was clean and the bed. was very comfortable. After a good night we enyoyed a delicious breakfast in a beautyful atmosphere. We would definetely come again!

We stumbled upon this hidden gem. What a fabulous experience at the Squibb House. We stayed in the Black Barn in the Maple Room and it did not disappoint. The breakfast in the morning was delightful. We noticed they use a lot of organic products. That’s important to us so we were very happy. Everything about our stay was wonderful and we will definitely return!
