Tours
Bakery
Ben & Jerry’s is a renowned ice cream parlor chain that originated in Vermont. The brand's factory in Burlington, Vt offers an immersive experience with a 30-minute movie, ice cream samples, photo opportunities, and a visit to the Flavor Graveyard where discontinued flavors are commemorated. At their campus down Route 100, visitors can take a factory tour ending with unique ice cream samples created by the resident 'Flavor Guru.'
The factory tour was so much fun, and the ice cream scoops (an extra cost) are absolutely huge!!! The tours are $6/ adult and $1/child - advance reservations are HIGHLY recommended (especially if you plan to visit during summer or a holiday weekend). A visit to the Flavor Graveyard is an absolute must! (This is not part of the tour, and is open and accessible for free.)
Ashleigh B — Google review
The guided 30-minute tour starts with a short and quirky video about Ben and Jerry's history and company values. Then you'll head to a glass-enclosed upper deck overlooking the production floor. Be aware that live production isn't always happening, so you may not see the factory in full swing. You have a chance to get a free sample of the flavor of the day. While the tour is short, there's plenty to do on the grounds. You can browse the gift shop for exclusive merchandise and flavors. The most popular highlight for many is the Flavor Graveyard, a hillside cemetery for discontinued flavors. There's also a playground for kids and picnic areas, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy ice cream.
Asiri B — Google review
We had a fun time with the 15-min tour (6 dollars per person and you have to book in advance)! The decorations inside the shop are cute. We didn't buy in the store or the icecream shop, but it's good to know that they don't ask for tips in the shop. Very fun activity for families with kids or a school field trip.
Nika C — Google review
Sweet & Fun Ben & Jerry’s Factory Tour! A must for ice cream lovers! The tour was short but packed with fun facts, a peek at production, and of course, a delicious sample. Loved the Flavor Graveyard and gift shop too. The staff was upbeat, the vibe was joyful, and the ice cream? Perfect as always. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just looking for a fun stop in Vermont, this tour is 100% worth it. Don’t forget to snap a pic with the giant flavor tub outside! 5 scoops out of 5—would tour (and taste) again! 🍦😊
Corrado — Google review
We actually had a very good experience here. We didn’t have to pre-register for the (overpriced for what it was) tour and our tour only had 6 people on it so it was very personal. It didn’t hurt that our tour guide was clever and engaging. The next tour was much more full and their guide not so great. The tour has been well-described in other reviews so I won’t go into it. Gift shop = way overpriced. Way, way overpriced. You can buy ice cream there but it, too, is overpriced. Rather get it from a grocery store. I enjoyed the clever signs in the flavor graveyard.
Brian V — Google review
The Ben and Jerry's factory tour was about 30 minutes: a video, an overview of the production line and the flavor lab (sampling of one newer flavor). The ice cream flavors graveyard has no lighting at all. It was a little tricky to find it in the dark (it's very dark by 5:00 pm in November), a little bit lighting will be helpful and safer for the visitors. It would be nice to see a showcase of all the available flavors in the market. Overall, it's a fun family activity.
Joan S — Google review
We had an amazing time visiting the Ben & Jerry's Factory. My favorite part of the tour was trying Marshmellow sky. It was tasty. Hope I get to purchase it in stores in the future. Our tour guide was amazing and knowledgeable as well.
Sidney P — Google review
This was a bucket list experience for a long time now. While I can't say I regularly eat Ben and Jerry's, I have bought and tried many of their flavors over the years. It is seriously good ice cream. This place is definitely a tourist location so be prepared for it being busy. While the factory tour itself is a little less than impressive, it was still neat to go though it. I justl love the quirkiness of Ben and Jerry's.

Brewpub
Prohibition Pig is a popular joint in Waterbury Village Historic District, VT, offering a hip atmosphere with over 20 craft beers on tap and classic cocktails. The restaurant serves up Southern-style small plates and barbecue, including smoked meats like ribs, brisket plate, and chopped pork. In addition to their delicious food offerings, Prohibition Pig also brews their own line of beers and hard seltzers in-house.
I made a stop here with my wife and absolutely LOVED it!! We had a little bit of everything: Cornbread with Maple Butter Brisket Greens & Sausage Duck Fat Fries Cornbread Churros Everything we had was phenomenal. This was some of the best barbecue we've had anywhere. On top of that, they had a great selection of craft beers and incredible bar offerings whether you prefer a straight pour or a well made cocktail. I highly recommend a stop here for a meal and their brewery right next door is not to be missed.
Daniel D — Google review
The food here was really solid. The crushed cucumber salad was fresh and flavorful. The duck fat fries were a highlight, perfectly crisp. The brisket and wings were also very good. The only downside was the service. We waited a long time before anyone came to take our order, which was frustrating. Still, once the food arrived, it was worth the wait. Overall, a good spot with good food.
Liran T — Google review
We were looking forward to checking this place out during our trip to VT. They did NOT disappoint. Cucumber appetizer was amazing and we tried the "special" roasted carrot one as well. My wife ordered a blue burger (added bacon) and I had the fried chicken sandwich. I told Cullen (our terrific server) that it was one of the best 🐔 sandwiches I've ever had. Duck fat fried are a "can't miss." Cocktails were also tasty. Just wished we had room for dessert as they had a chocolate chip skillet cookie that used bacon drippings rather than butter. We will definitely be back if we're ever in the area. A+

What a fabulous restaurant! The ProPig brewery is right next door too. From minute one, the friendly and lovely young hostess greeted us with an update on timing. The online waiting list was awesome-we could use Yelp to track it. Then we were seated and given waters immediately and the amazing waitress took our orders soon thereafter. She as so helpful with my food issues! Food was delicious. I had a green salad with maple Dijon vinaigrette and smoked chicken thighs - excellent! My husband had brisket that was amazing. Great vibe although pretty loud. Cool seating right up front with big windows too!
Brenda F — Google review
Absolutely loved our experience at Prohibition Pig! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a great mix of rustic charm and lively energy. The food was outstanding—everything from the smoked meats to the locally sourced sides was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Their in-house craft beers were a real highlight, especially the APA. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. Whether you're just passing through Waterbury or staying a while, this is a must-visit spot. We'll definitely be back!

Absolutely incredible experience. Minus the wait. Expect to wait during dinner hour and go on the yelp wait list .Service was amazing, very good selection. Brisket was to die for. Amazing beer choices and desserts. 10/10 experience. Would come again and reccomend to anyone.
Devin R — Google review
We were excited to try Prohibition Pig given its reputation in town, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the hype. The hostess who seated us was exceptionally unwelcoming—she barely acknowledged us, offered no greeting or pleasantries, and made us feel like an afterthought rather than guests. That set the tone for what was an overall impersonal dining experience. Service throughout felt detached, lacking warmth or engagement. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. The BBQ, in particular, fell short—especially disappointing given their claim to match North Carolina standards. In a small town like this, Prohibition Pig may be one of the more well-known spots, but in our view, it’s nothing to write home about.
Baiba G — Google review
Oh Pro pig, how I miss you already. And I was here today, but I haven't reviewed you, despite coming here for a few years when I'm on a pilgrimage to bring beer from Vermont home to New Hampshire. Where do I even start... Walking In, you can smell the food. Immediate mouth water. The seats are comfy, the staff is super nice, and the BBQ is quite litterally what I wish I could eat daily. ENC - whole hog and vinegar based sauce. Normally I would get chopped pork / sausage. But today I was feeling brisket. MAN HAVE I BEEN SLEEPING ON IT. I brought in my girlfriend for an adventure in Vermont and BBQ was what we both wanted for lunch, I told her I knew the spot, and immediately punched it into the gps. To start, burnt ends and grits. I don't think much needs to be said about this, here till it's gone was enough for me. They came out lightning fast, and were juicy, fell right apart, were sauced flawlessly and garnished well so we got vinegar, meat and creamy all at once. I want that for breakfast, every day. Forever. Brisket sandwich. Normally I'm a chopped pork guy. When I think ENC that's where my brain goes too. But I had just tasted brisket and needed more. Let me tell you when I said I couldn't open my mouth wide enough for the monster cuts of brisket. I honestly didn't think I was gonna be able to power through all that sandwich, and pro pig is not known for skimping on the portions. Blew my mind. Came with slaw, and pickles on the sandwich, I drowned it in the hot sauce. So so so so so good. Duckfat fries. Crunchy, perfectly fried, perfectly salted, accompanied with a ketchup and an aioli? Tbh could of been just mayo, and I still would of crammed them into my face hole at light speed. Partner in crime got the chopped pork, and she said on the car ride home, that I needed to make that asap. She's Canadian, and now she knows what's up. pro pigs beer Fluffy little clouds and crispenbauer: I have zero complaints, they came out swinging, were refreshing and left me wanting more. Honestly, my one regret is not living closer. The food is great, the atmosphere is comforting, the staff is friendly, the message is clear. We make great food, we make great beer, and we respect our patrons. Thank you Pro Pig. Your dedication to the craft, and bold flavors have kept me making the trip. But also if your ever looking to show someone how to make that sauce, I will officially start a religion in your name. 5 stars, worth the trip, go hungry. Thank youuuuu!

Cold Hollow Cider Mill is a charming spot in Stowe, Vermont, known for its delicious cider donuts and apple cider. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the mill year-round to witness the traditional 1920s rack-and-cloth press squeezing juicy McIntosh apples into fresh non-alcoholic cider. The mill also offers seasonal hard ciders for tasting and an alcoholic cider tasting room.
The cider store has a huge variety of products. That was surprising! I bought coffee spread and maple jelly. Excited to try it soon. I also tried cider donut, it was decent. Ordered chicken pesto from the café, it was decent but little bit pricy though. It was fun to checkout cider process and try it out!

Cold Hollow Cider Mill is such a fun Vermont stop! The fresh cider smells amazing, and the warm donuts are a must-try—crispy, sweet, and perfect with a hot drink. You can watch cider being pressed and browse maple goodies. Cute shop, friendly staff, and great fall vibes all around!
Flora — Google review
The place is busy and obviously a tourist attraction. Please bring your patience!!! The hard cider is delicious and the maple creemee was really good but also really rich and sweet. Cider donuts are flavorful although not what I expected. Be sure to get a taste from the tasting tank in the back of the store. It is fresh and the best you will ever have!!
Candy T — Google review
Classic Vermont Tourist Stop Probably one of the most touristy spots in the area (second only to Ben & Jerry’s). When we visited this past weekend, the store was absolutely packed. It was hard to even move without bumping into someone every three seconds. Every local we spoke to warned us it was a tourist trap, but we still wanted to check out the Vermont apple cider experience. The store had plenty of maple and Vermont goods, but the best part was the tasting room in the back. It’s just a massive steel tank of apple cider, completely self-serve, and you can pour as much as you want. I had a few cups right there, and it was super crisp, fresh, and perfectly chilled straight from the tank. I wasn’t planning to buy anything, but that first sip immediately convinced me to get a couple of cider packs. At checkout, we also grabbed their “legendary” apple cider donut and the maple creemee donut sandwich. The donut, unfortunately, was really bad. Dry, oddly sweet but somehow not sweet enough. It actually tasted better frozen with the maple creemee than on its own. Honestly, I’ve had better grocery store versions, though maybe dipping it in cider helps.
Jea K — Google review
We came here in 2024 on a weekend trip to Stowe and fell in love so much that we HAD to come back in 2025. This place is super touristy but worth ALL the hype it receives. You MUST go to their cafe for breakfast. We enjoyed it so much this trip we went twice! Super cinnamon-y apple cider, sweet maple crepes, and a maple creemee are some highlights. The Morning Core on a cheddar biscuit alone is the reason to visit! The gift shop is also lovely and has an assortment of treats and Vermont merchandise- You won't go home empty handed!
Julia T — Google review
Visited the restaurant and the food and cider was very good. Enjoyed the Cider Mill Vermonter sandwich which was delicious. The hot apple cider was great as well. Stepped across to the cider and gift shop where you can sample fresh pressed cider and view displays of the cider process. Nicely done for a small space. Unfortunately, the cider donuts did not live up to claims and were a disappointment. It was small, dry, and nearly tasteless. The Apple House in Shenandoah, VA puts these cider donuts to shame.
Larry A — Google review
This is one of those places, my husband would call a “tourist trap“. Too many people with two little parking and buses and large groups wandering through especially during leaf season. However, the country store was very charming, the coffee was excellent and the maple creamee ice cream was amazing! Don’t get mad at me, but I really did not care for the cider donuts. They really were nothing to get excited about. They were just cake donuts, which I’m not a fan of, and didn’t taste very much like apple cider. To me, the taste was mehh and not worth the hype. If you love cake donuts then by all means grab one. It’s one of those places that if you’re visiting for the first time you’ll probably make yourself go to and if not during peak season it’s probably a lot more enjoyable.
Marty P — Google review
Very nice place. You can see them pressing the apples. They also have a big tank of chilled cider to try while watching them. Creemee!!! Ohhh so good with maple dust on it. Also, the cider doughnut was very good with a cup of hot cider 👌🏽

The Blackback Pub is a charming and rustic establishment offering a seasonal American menu with locally sourced ingredients. Situated in a historic two-story New England-style brick building, the pub exudes warmth and character. Downstairs, guests can enjoy a cozy pub atmosphere with aged wood interiors, while the upstairs dining room and bar offer a gastropub ambiance. The friendly staff welcomes patrons to savor a diverse menu featuring hearty pub fare and Asian-inspired dishes.
Made it here on the day/weekend they were celebrating their one year anniversary under new ownership/management. And wow is it a stellar operation! Owner was working the bar and keeping the energy high but every person working there was super friendly and helpful. Draft beer list is one of the best in town or possibly even the entire state. Food menu is also top notch with plenty of options that utilize quality local ingredients. The meatloaf sandwich was recommended and yes it was truly delicious. The shrimp were incredibly tasty, as well. Vibes can’t be beat, this is a must visit in Waterbury!
Matthew G — Google review
One of my favorite pubs in the world! I usually don't review bars but the food here is so exceptional, I need to. I had the peel and eat shrimp one night and wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary. What I got was really well seasoned shrimp with a cocktail sauce that now haunts my dreams. How can cocktail sauce be so good?? I think they might put curry seasoning in it. Pair that with phenomenal service from veteran bar keeps and the best selection of craft beer in the area and you can't lose. Pictured are the brussel sprouts and a crab cake(?).
Jesse G — Google review
We decided to visit this place after reading a review for Mac and cheese. We can confirm that this place serves one of the best mac and cheeses we’ve tried. The brussel sprouts were also a hit! Staff were warm and welcoming and we love the chill vibes!

Visiting from Portland, Oregon and we were blown away by the quality of our food at the Blackback Pub. Those were possibly the best nachos we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was also great, a cozy, historic interior and a cute outdoor patio which we sat at. Great for people watching as it’s right on a main Street!
Alison G — Google review
Great tap list but very loud and crowded. Host was a bit abrupt with us as there was only one seat at the bar and I tried to stand next to her. "Ya, you can't stand there!" He showed us the other side of the bar where we could sit on some ledge by the window. Bartenders were good at first but then we were ignored when we were trying to get another beer. By the time she asked if we wanted another one we had to leave. Also, for some reason they don't list pour sizes or cost of any of the beers so I guess you just get what you get. I don't even know what size their standard tulip glass is. I'm guessing it's like a 13oz glass but they only give you like 10oz.
Jeff G — Google review
Went to this place to watch soccer and grab a pint, came back the next day for food and more beer. Excellent local craft beer selection on tap. They also have a lukr tap with two different beers on tap - would definitely recommend trying one. Amazing service both days. First day we sat at the bar. Second day we got a table. We ordered the nachos, pulled pork sandwich and a mac and cheese. All the dishes were amazing. The nachos were the best I've ever had! We will definitely be back next time we are in town! Came back in November 2023, one year later, this place still rocks. Best nachos ever. Also got the jerk chicken wrap which was amazing. Also highly recommend the scallops, brussel sprouts and mac & cheese.

We sat at the bar and had a great dinner. Crab sandwich and meatloaf sandwich were yummy and filling . The salad called the Stuff was excellent with arugula, blue cheese, grapes and roasted Brussel sprouts. All staff were friendly and attentive. The signature cocktails were unique with every ingredient like carot ginger freshly squeezed in house.

Our favorite place to go whenever we're in Waterbury! We usually have to wait a short time to be seated but it's always worth it. Friendly staff and prompt service and food that is always fantastic! Highly recommend the sticky maple Gochujang shrimp appetizer, meatloaf sandwich and firecracker salmon

Hen of the Wood is a popular restaurant in Vermont, known for its woodsy-chic interior and thoughtfully sourced menu that changes daily based on fresh and inspiring ingredients. The restaurant offers a separate menu section dedicated to Vermont cheese served with house-made accompaniments like maple crackers and raspberry butter. With a cozy atmosphere, it has been acclaimed as one of the area's best restaurants since its opening in 2005.
Had dinner at the bar tonight after dinners usually seated at tables and it was a fun experience-but lacking nothing. We had the Parker house rolls, and shared the pasta special to start. The special was house made pasta, prosciutto, peas, with a butter sauce—and it was incredible. So much so…one of us ordered a second order later on! We then had the tuna tartare and crushed cucumbers—both immaculately fresh and delicious. We finished with that second pasta plate and a strawberry, feta, mixed green salad. Delicious and thoughtfully crafted food and drinks and great atmosphere. Abbey and Ben at the bar explained drinks, food, and were highly personable and attentive. Love having dining options like this in our hometown!

My husband and I dined at Hen of the Wood in Waterbury for the first time while on our way to Burlington, Vermont, and decided to stop at this location since it was right along our route. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We ordered the peach and tomato salad, a pasta dish for me, and the hanger steak for my husband. While the salad was underwhelming and left much to be desired, my pasta dish was absolutely phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We both have religious dietary restrictions and cannot have any food cross-contaminated with pork. We noticed that both the beef and pork were being cooked on the same grill. When we brought this up to our server, the staff was extremely understanding and helpful—they happily offered to cook the steak separately in a pan to avoid cross-contamination, which we truly appreciated. Our waitress was incredibly kind and hospitable, though she seemed a bit overwhelmed. My entrée was initially incorrect—I was served swordfish instead of the pasta I had ordered—so it had to be remade. I also never received the fried green tomatoes I had ordered, but I decided not to mention it since my entrée already needed to be corrected and I didn’t want to seem like a difficult guest. They offered us a complimentary sorbet, which was a nice gesture. Despite these small hiccups, the food was fresh, flavorful, and overall delicious. The service was warm and accommodating, and we left with a positive impression. We would definitely return!

Probably our best meal spot on our Vermont trip. This place has an incredibly good hanger steak, perfect seasoning crust and cook temp. The mushroom toast appetizer is like an eggs Benedict breakfast with super fresh mushrooms, was very good. The tomato, peach, and mozzarella salad they have sounds strange, but was shocking how good the combination was. It actually changed my perspective of tomato’s which I’m normally not crazy for. The cocktails were made to perfection. You can tell the bar tender knows how to make a good sophisticated drink. Their wine list and service is also very nice. For dessert, do yourself a favor and get their honey crème fraiche ice cream. It was so good, it ruined regular ice cream for me forever Fantastic date spot and a true highlight of our trip

We’ve been wanting to try Hen of the Wood for years and finally got the chance. We made a reservation at the chef’s counter and weren’t disappointed. The mushroom toast and rabbit liver pate were amazing. We also split the large strip steak with broccolini and potatoes in wine reduction which was equally good. The service was generally good and dishes came out promptly but we did have to flag down the waitress a couple times for drink refills. The menu seemed unexpectedly a little limited. For example, there were options for beef, different types of rabbit, halibut and vegetarian dishes but no poultry (especially given the name of the restaurant). However, everything we ordered was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back the next time we are in the area!
Bill A — Google review
This is fine dining at its finest, but not fanciest (in a good way). We snagged a reservation for a Saturday night in November, with the kitchen view -- the resy was a necessity as we heard a hostess tell someone over the phone that the restaurant was completely booked for the evening, with just a wait list for bar seating available. The star of our meal: the ribeye for 2 with fried fingerling potatoes. The steak was trimmed up with just a little fat cap on the end, the rest being perfectly marble, tender ribeye that ate like butter at a beautiful medium rare. It was marinated, seasoned, and served over a red wine jus, although all the flavors on the outside were complimentary to the steak and allowed the beef itself to shine. The potatoes were fried nicely, bringing a satisfying, tasty crisp alongside the steak. We also had the mushroom toast, although our particular batch had almost entirely highly cooked down, crispy shavings that were really concentrated in flavor, similar to the hyper salty bits left behind in the bottom of a cooking pan. I wished there were some more of the whole/hearty, less cooked down mushroom pieces in ours to balance the saltiness. We also had a mocktail and cocktail, both mixed deliciously! My wife enjoyed a blend of maple, orange, and lemon, and I had the Be Discreet, kind of a full-size cocktail version of an amaro. Finally, we managed to save room for a vanilla cheesecake mousse, and they gave us a scoop of molasses cookie dough ice cream on the house. What can I say? A pillowy sweet ending to a culinary adventure. I mentioned fine without fancy, because Hen of the Wood was also very approachable in its farm-to-table style. The staff was very helpful, and it was a comfortable environment from start to finish. We hope to be back soon!

Hey folks, this is high end eating in downtown Waterbury, the food capital of Vermont it's said. What I like for a high end place is their options for both small plates and more filling normal sized plates. We had the $110 shared "Ribeye for Two" steak dish that had phenomenal taste. Only issue I had was a fatty section of the steak, which is minor because it was a small section of the steak. Wish there were also more normal size plate options as the "cheese dish" plates has more robust options?? Equally phenomenal in taste was a chocolate ice cream with some sort of caramelish smear, crisp and crumble dessert - 100% no issue there. Fantastic!

Excellent birthday dinner! First time at Hen and it didn’t disappoint!! Friendly, upbeat service, with great recommendations. A couple of great cocktails and small plates to share. Main courses were the duck and hanger steak - both perfectly cooked and delicious! Lastly, who could resist pumpkin tart. From beginning to end everything was very enjoyable!

The Cabot Creamery Store in Waterbury is a cheese lover's paradise, offering a wide variety of cheeses including unique flavors like Tuscan Herb. Visitors can also explore artisanal cheeses and even sample grilled cheeses with apple butter. Located conveniently along the main highway with ample parking, this store provides an opportunity to discover different kinds of cheese made by Cabot as well as their own wines. Additionally, it offers a range of other stores nearby for visitors to explore.
I personally love that Cabot has their own shop! I’m not from the area and it’s nice to see a brand I’m familiar with, but as a store! I had no idea they had so many different types of cheese. Here, you can get them all! They also have merch, wine, samples, a full cheese case with other local cheeses, gifts, etc. a great little stop when in the area.

Yummy cheese! Visit time in Vermont and I wasn’t familiar with the brand before but was excited to visit this store on recommendation by many. The store was well organized with a little merch shop to the left when you entered, then to the right they had an area with gift items, wine, charcuterie items and a few delicious cheese & spreads samples out to enjoy (horseradish was very tasty - habanero was fantastic but HOT!) We grabbed the vintage choice and 10 yr aged along with some popcorn.
Leiah S — Google review
The cheese shop is large and nicely decorated and they offer some samples to try. They also surprisingly have a small but decent wine selection at reasonable prices. The cheese itself was not good at all to my taste. Among the 5 kinds I tried I wanted to purchase 0 of them and even though I like British cheddar, their cheddar did not match my taste unfortunately

We visited the Cabot Creamery while traveling in Vermont. I was pleasantly surprised with the vast selection of cheese and other items available. Since where we live on a few varieties are available. It was nice to try a few additional additional ones and some pairings to go with the cheese. We definitely enjoyed visiting and shopping here. I definitely recommend stopping if you are in the area.

A great little shop, plenty of things to take home. Obviously most of the cheese is cheddar, and that’s ok, but they do have lots of jams, knives, and other Cabot-branded keepsakes you can take home.

My Husband LOVES cheese, like seriously loves it so when I told him we could visit this creamery while on our Vermont trip he was so excited! Amazing, friendly staff and as a pro tip... if you're from "away" bring a cooler! You'll want to bring some home! ✌️💛🧀

Vermont Beer Collective is a retailer that offers an extensive variety of craft beers from small American breweries. The Craft Beer Cellar, located across the street from Prohibition Pig Brewery, boasts a collection of 700 craft beers and ciders from 200 producers. Owners Mark Drutman and Victor Osinaga are passionate about beer and constantly seek out new releases and breweries.
A must stop when rolling through Waterbury. Amazing selection of local and international brews. New layout even has a taproom serving some heavy-hitter collabs and even things in from NYC (Other Half) and have seen a few Tree House. Staff are top-notch + happy to help.
Rick P — Google review
The beer selection is decent, it’s nice to be able to grab a single. The wine selection is great. Feels like it’s meant for tourists and not locals. We stopped for a draft beer and the bartender licked the spilled beer off of his fingers in front of us before touching the glass with those same fingers. Gross and awkward.
Keisha P — Google review
This placed used to be super fire. Epic beer selection. Now it's alright. Lackluster lambic selection and nothing super fresh in the IPA department. Used to be a staple of my trip to VT. Disappointing.

Great selection of NA Beer and if you love beer this place is the Mecca!!
Steve R — Google review
Great selection of Vermont Beer, probably the best in the state. Gets Heady and Focal Banger on Wednesday’s. Tons of Burlington Beer Company. They sell singles as well, so you don’t have to commit to a 4-pack. A little pricey, especially for the singles. Staff is helpful. I’m a grumpy old man so I find it annoying when they pounce on me immediately after I step into the store. It’s a franchise, which surprises me. Why pay someone a fee to learn how to put beer on a shelf? But you can’t argue with the results.
Chris W — Google review
One of the best craft beer selections in the entire state of Vermont, and that's saying a lot. They give the option to try so much by buying individual cans and/or bottles, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Not only that, they have a legendary selection of 3 Fonteinen!
Matt B — Google review
Excellent selection. I would highly recommend stopping in to collect Vermont brews for anyone traveling through the area. We were able to get Alchemist, Lawson's, Fiddlehead, and more. Cheers!

Live music venue
Zenbarn is a laid-back spot that offers a variety of food and drinks, including sandwiches, burgers, ramen, BBQ, and local farm fare. The venue has adapted to the current situation by providing socially distant seating for live music events. With limited indoor dining capacity and outdoor tables under a tent, Zenbarn has managed to maintain its to-go business as well. Visitors can enjoy the spacious property with small but comfortable tables and even a fire pit for added ambiance.
Our wedding at Zenbarn was like a fairytale! It’s such an amazing venue with indoor and outdoor spaces that are exactly what you want for a Vermont wedding. The apartments upstairs were perfect for getting ready and a crash pad for friends and family after partying all night. We loved every minute!
Stephanie J — Google review
The vibes were immaculate. 10/10 went to see The Blind Owl Band and I must say the size and atmosphere made the whole experience. Delicious cider and even more delightful music. All ages show so I could bring my little ones. Their minds were blown. Love live music.

We were here for a private work related event not for entertainment. The food they served us was delicious. Some of us ended up having to sit in small patio chairs that weren’t very comfortable for 6 hrs but all in all glad we chose this venue. I was told it’s a fun place with good music, if back in the area for personal reasons I’d give it a try.

We had our wedding at Zenbarn in June and everything was perfect! You cannot beat the view from the outdoor ceremony location! Every single member of their staff was great to work with and really made the night magical. From planning it all with Kaite to dancing and talking to Travis, it was all perfect. We are still getting compliments about how magical and well put together our wedding was and we owe a lot of that to Zenbarn.

My second Wednesday night with Dobb's Dead in 6 months in a room quite copacetic to musicians and fans alike. I wish I lived closer to this very reasonable and chill venue because I am very comfortable there. The Zen Barn seems to be hosting the Strawberry Jam festival in August with a terrific lineup- good on them!

We cannot say enough good things about the Zen Barn! We got married here in July 2023 and had an amazing, fun, and smooth wedding weekend. We rented out the Air BnB on the top two floors of the barn for the weekend and it worked out perfectly for our bridal party to stay in and for getting ready before the ceremony. Communicating with their events manager Katie and the owner Ari leading up to the wedding was easy and they were super accommodating. We had questionable weather for the ceremony/cocktail hour portion of our wedding and all of the staff at Zen Barn were so flexible and supportive with us deciding whether we needed to do our ceremony inside or out. We ended up using their beautiful indoor ceremony space due to rain and it was amazing! Our guests loved the BBQ buffet (great gluten free and veg options too!!) and enjoyed the cocktails and amazing local beer options. Everyone had so much fun with the Zen Barn staff - they are the perfect balance of fun/laidback and professional - making you feel at ease throughout the day. Our go-to guy for our wedding day, Travis, went above and beyond to help our day run smoothly and was so fun to work with. The Zen Barn lets you truly customize how you want your wedding to be and we are so happy we had our wedding here. We cannot wait to come back for music and anniversary celebrations. Thank you to everyone at the Zen Barn for all of your hard work!!!!

The food and drinks here are out of this world, the service was great and the servers made us feel at home. I would highly recommend the maple bacon burger and the grilled mushrooms with grits!!! Also the gin and chronic drink was very well made but I think our favorite part was bamboo straw, loved the little touches!! We will definitely be back in the future

Waterbury Center State Park is a 90-acre park located on a reservoir just outside of Stowe, Vermont. It offers picnic sites, boat rentals, a nature trail, and a swimming beach. Visitors can rent stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes from local outfitters to explore the quiet and clear lake with stunning mountain views. The park also features grassy areas for picnicking with scattered grills and a small beach area perfect for kids.
I cannot begin to describe the calmness and serenity of this place and such a cute picnic spot with absolutely picturesque views of water, the sun and greenery & orange-ery & red-ery(Fall). You can also go for Kayaking, kayaks are available and there is ample space to park. Cute Benches under trees and green grass to sit if you want. Love the location! Very quiet and peaceful! Breathe some fresh air and relax! Please note there are no trash cans there, so please take a trash bag with you to bring back the garbage.

Super calm and quiet. I almost went kayaking here, but the water was a little cold for my liking - I’m sure it would have been incredible, though. There’s a trail that’s pretty straightforward but not particularly noteworthy.

Freak Folk Bier is a newcomer to the Vermont brewery scene located in Waterbury, VT. Despite some criticism for not allowing children, the brewery has created a warm and welcoming atmosphere for beer enthusiasts. With a cozy vibe and a variety of beers on tap including lager, porter, IPA, and barrel-aged options, Freak Folk Bier is quickly gaining popularity. Visitors praise the fantastic beer selection and highlight the must-try sours.
These guys are making some of the best craft beer out there. As an Illinois native, I try to make it here every day I’m in Vermont (yeah, it’s that good!) Literally everything they do is solid! You can’t go wrong with their IPAs and lagers. A must stop if you are in the area!
Justin W — Google review
Next-level beer. Not even next level, as they're on their own level. I border on the awkward side of things, but felt right at home sipping world-class brews early on a Friday afternoon and chatting with the staff. This is the best brewery in Vermont.
Brian S — Google review
As a local, this place has always been one of my favorite spots. It’s kind of a hidden gem, but it somehow has a reputation all across the state and beyond. The beer’s always great, but what really makes it stand out are the people — both behind the bar and sitting at it. I usually venture out solo, and there’s always someone interesting to chat with. They even project old movies on the wall — I once caught the 1993 horror-comedy Leprechaun, a total childhood classic for me (though probably not for everyone) — and it’s just such a neat touch. It might be adults-only (and no dogs too), but honestly, as a dog owner, it’s nice to have a spot to unwind without the puppers sometimes — there are plenty of places in town for that. It’s just one of those spots that makes you feel welcome the second you walk in.
Rachel C — Google review
Was really excited to try their beers but our party was turned away because we had our dog with us. Lovely outdoor seating area with benches but they don't allow dogs. Another party with a dog was coming in after right after we got the boot and they too were turned away. They lost 6-7 eager customers in 5 minutes on account of some weird anti-dog policy. Pro Pig down the street is very dog friendly.

I am from the PNW and consider myself a bit of a beer geek. Their Minor Logic Hazy Pale is phenomenal. Bought 2 four packs to bring home to the West Coast and not share with my friends. Mellow, friendly vibe. If I am ever back in Vermont, I will definitely make my way back to freak folk.

I've always called Waterbury,VT the best small town in America since I started visiting there 8+ years ago. I don't think you can find a small town in the country that has a better array of good restaurants, bars, and pubs. Now they have an awesome newcomer to the Vermont brewery scene in Freak Folk. It's such a warm and welcoming place for beer geeks with an awesome cozy vibe right in the heart of it all.Their portfolio of beers from mixed fermentation all the way to stouts and lagers are absolutely fantastic. It's an absolute must visit everytime you're in the area if you're a craft beer fanatic as I am !

Wanted to tick a couple pours and head out. But they were closed. So we came back 4 hours later to attend their cabaret and it was the highlight of our trip. Awesome people. Each style of beer I tried was fantastic. The sours are a must!

Nestled in the heart of Stowe, Idletyme Brewing Company is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in a delightful blend of craft brews and American comfort food. This beer-centric bistro boasts a warm atmosphere where you can savor European-style beers brewed on-site in stunning copper tanks. The menu features mouthwatering dishes like ale-battered fish and chips, oversized Bavarian pretzels served with hot beer cheese, and creamy mac and cheese made with Vermont cheddar.
We stopped there for a quick drink and ended up getting some food as well. You ABSOLUTELY have to get those crunchy cheese balls, they were delicious. The beer flight was excellent, and the burger and Reuben were great! We sat on the bar and had a blast of a service. 🍻
Liran T — Google review
The food was fairly good but not reaching 5 stars in my opinion. The beer flight featured some classic/basic styles of beer - all of them were fresh although tasted fairly plain to me but fine to go with a meal and interesting to try anyway. The Vermont Cheddar Fritters were really good and I enjoyed them together with the sauce. The wings with shriracha-buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing did not match my taste unfortunately. The lady at the bar/tap was really welcoming. Overall no regrets and the place is good but next time I’d look for something else.
Alexey S — Google review
Excellent relaxing patio dinner. The cheddar fritters were crunchy and gooey and the chipotle aioli was the perfect sauce on top! Chili was great and went next level when I added it to my Vermont mac n cheese! Husband had the burger and raved about the onion bacon jam. Patio area was beautiful on a crisp fall nice and we enjoyed an after dinner warm mulled cider by the fire pits! Great spot.
Tiffany R — Google review
Our favorite meal that we had not just in Stowe, but in Vermont! We had the Vermont Cheddar Fritters which were insane, and the jalapeño aioli was delicious. The Potato Leak Soup was incredible, which was the soup special of the night. So much flavor. And, finally, the best Fish and Chips we’ve ever had. The service was also 10/10.
Amanda G — Google review
We ordered take out, it was actually hot AND ready when we arrived to pick it up. Nice! The pub burger and kids tenders were good, no complaints. But the Mac & cheese and the Vermont cheddar fritters sucked. Like really bad. The Mac wasn’t cheesy and the fritters were all dough, kinda like a hush puppy. Maybe the Mac sucked bc it was take out, idk. But for 20$ I felt robbed. I’m not saying I’d never go back, but I’d prob look for something else next time I’m here.
Matthew M — Google review
The Burger was Very Good, The Reuben was too dry, needed more kraut and thousand island dressing on it. The Meat didn't seem the freshest but it was still good. Sandwiches are $18-20 each. Fries were good. Beer was Excellent! Service was a little slow but acceptable. We sat inside and the air temp was warmer than I expected but still cooler than the outside temp. Would have been 5 stars if the Reuben wasn't dry/lean on the Kraut and the service was a little quicker. I'm sure the staff was busy. I would go back.

This is our first time in town and Idletyme was fantastic. Kya took care of us at the bar and she was very knowledgeable about what they have to offer and very helpful with recommending the best local drafts to choose from. Throughout the weekend I had the Notch burger and the Reuben and both were phenomenal. 10/10 recommend to anyone and will be back soon!

I have a feeling your food choices matter in determining your experience here. I will say, their flavors are wild. Lots of fusions, a lit time for the stoned. The soup came out cold at first. They kindly reheated that and got it back. Tasted good. The flavors were great for all the food. Throughly enjoyed this.

Nice place, first time here in this town. First time in this restaurant. I am very comfortable being here. Customer service was great. I just could not decide what kind of restaurant brewed beer to select. I had the pilsner, it was good. Has the classic burger, I thought that was very good. As time went on, the restaurant started to fill up, but the server kept on taking care of us.

Good: Service was friendly and knowledgeable! Overall vibe and experience was fine Ok: food was hit and miss. Burgers and fish chips great! Chicken marsala was to little for price and while tasty was not special. Bad: please when your not that full dont sit 5 at a table for really 3 maybe 4. Do everyone a favor and make people comfortable.

I had to try poutine on my first trip to Vermont so I came here since it was close to my hotel. The fries they use must be double fried because they are as crunchy as ever. I’m sure softer fries would soak up the gravy more. I rate it 3/5 ⭐️. My husband had a classic smash burger. SALTY AS CAN BE. Definitely would not have again. My friend highly recommends the beet dish to anyone who normally likes beets.

Great experience. Only had to wait a few minutes for a table on a Friday night. It was busy, but they kept things moving. Food was very good. Poutine, steak burger and Cheesesteak were all delicious. Friendly, attentive staff. Lots of people and chatter, but not loud. Still easy to have a conversation. Parking was the only challenge, either limited street parking or a somewhat pricey public lot. Worth it though!
Andrew L — Google review
Our group stopped here during a road trip before we headed home, and it was the best meal of the day. Located in the main part of town, there is a parking lot behind the restaurant as well as street parking. There is plenty of dining space with high top tables in the front of the restaurant and a bar in the back. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, but the shining star was the poutine with gluten-free gravy. While a thinner gravy, the flavors made up for the consistency (anything that is gluten-free always has a different consistency because of the ingredients used) and if I didn't live more than three hours away, I would be ordering this regularly. Our server was phenomenal and made sure our lunch was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area because you won't be disappointed.

Great brunch spot in Waterbury! It has a nice classic American charm! There was a little bit of a wait since they were quite busy. They have bar seating options as well as table seating. I'm VERY picky about my home fries. When I say this, I mean it- I have never had home fries as good as these. Seasoning was top teir, they were so crispy and delicious. The banana bread French toast was soooo good, super filling and flavorful. Had notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. The bacon was a crispy, with a thicker cut. The pancakes had awesome flavor but could have been fluffier for me, personally. But the flavor made up for it. The hot cider hit the spot! Fresh and steaming.

Definitely a good place to stop for breakfast. Just one extra note: It's right at the traffic circle. We missed it & had to come back. As you go around the circle, one of the exits sort of goes right into their parking lot. The restaurant itself had a Vermont like feel to it. Our server was Zoey, and she was very sweet. She also was on top of refilling my husband's coffee cup. There were lots of choices for breakfast. I had the banana bread French toast (see picture) & my husband had the little river breakfast, which had Vermont cheddar mixed into the eggs ( see picture). Both were delicious.

Walked in and was not greeted at all hostess and other looked at us with total disgust that we were there. Long wait time to sit in a very gross very loud chaotic mess of a restaurant. Bathrooms were some of the worst i have seen in my life. Our waitress was the one person in there that treated us with kindness she is the only one w black hair she saved our experience. The food was very good but the place was so gross it made me question eating the whole time. I really cannot believe how rude and disgusting it was but if you are determined to have real vermont maple syrup it is worth the hell i guess.

Very nice restaurant, loved it! 😃👍 Stopped by here for some breakfast food today. The building is in good shape on the exterior , and on the inside as well. They keep their restaurant nice and neat. Alot of warm colors and landscape paintings found within. Nice cozy place to stop in and have some breakfast or lunch. the service here was topnotch, the waitress Nicole did a great job taking our order as well as the accuracy of our order when the food came out. We didn't have to ask for anything , she already was on top of it. Today we tried their " pulled pork sandwich , side of fries with coleslaw" , " biscuits and gravy" , " stuffed french toast", " Cuban sandwich with potato chips" The food came out promptly and delicious. The cook did such a great job with the food, thanks Maxi's for the great experience. We would love to stop by again and try something else on your menu if in the area. Thanks for checking out my review and have a wonderful day! 😃😁

Went to this place on a Sunday for breakfast. I tried different items. The food tastes is okay. I would say above average than lot of breakfast place. The fries tastes is unique. The place is located right on the exit of I-89 and got parking as well. Place can be very busy depending upon the time of the day.

Nice place right off 89 and for us was on route to the Alchemist! Our Waitress Amber as nice and helpful taking my elderly father's order that always has associated questions! Ended up opting for the Mountain Hash, made with homemade corn beef hash. It was very good and just enough. Dad had the standard (for him) vegetable omelet which he also enjoyed. They were busy so service was a bit slow which was not a problem for us. Might be an issue if you wanted something fast.

Gold Brook Covered Bridge, also known as "Emily's Bridge," is a historic 1844 covered bridge with walnut-stained gable ends located in Newry. The bridge is linked to local folklore, with a haunting legend surrounding the tragic story of Emily, who supposedly hanged herself from the rafters after being stood up by her lover. Visitors are drawn to the eerie tales of ghostly sightings and strange noises emanating from within the 50-foot span.
People love covered bridges! Lol sadly hard to get a great photo with how everyone is parked! Be sure to look into the a “spooky” story behind it!

Beautiful bridge! The small waterfalls underneath are so relaxing. We had a big truck so we had to find another way to get around the bridge so we can park. Worth the stop!
Lucia V — Google review
While in Vermont, I just HAD to see a covered bridge! I'm not one tiny bit romantic, but I am intrigued by local history. This bridge is reportedly haunted. You can read all about Emily before you (dare to) make a walk through. Very cool!
Holly K — Google review
Pretty little covered bridges which was nice but the real star was the river under it...so pretty with some beautiful rocks.
Connie C — Google review
Beautiful historic bridge. It looks really nice during fall colors. It is free of chargea and 20 mins from Gondola in Stowe. Just park your car and take pictures. It will come out great
Mohit G — Google review
Such rich history. Got to check this off my bucket list! ✔️

EMILY’S BRIDGE! After reading the folklore, I refused to drive or walk through the bridge out of caution/respect. Allegedly, some visitors have experienced feeling random bursts of cold air, being scratched, and hearing a woman’s scream. One member of my party laughed and said they don’t believe in spirits. However, that’s the very person who was freaked out when we saw a raven circling the bridge. Neat stop! Whether fact or legend, I appreciate the story and the curiosity.

The Historic Gold Brook Covered Bridge, also known as “Emily’s Bridge,” is one of Vermont’s most charming and mysterious landmarks. Nestled in a peaceful, tree-lined setting near Stowe, this beautiful wooden bridge feels like a step back in time. The craftsmanship is stunning — the old timbers, rustic trusses, and weathered boards tell stories of generations past. During the day, sunlight filters softly through the gaps, creating a warm, nostalgic glow perfect for photography or a quiet walk. The surrounding nature adds to its serene beauty, especially in autumn when colorful leaves blanket the road and trees reflect their golden hues. It’s a lovely place for travelers, couples, and history enthusiasts to pause and take in the tranquil scenery. However, what truly sets Gold Brook Bridge apart is its legend. Locals call it “Emily’s Bridge,” named after a ghostly tale that adds a touch of mystery to its charm. Whether you believe in the story or not, it gives the site a unique, haunting appeal. Overall, this bridge is a wonderful mix of natural beauty, local history, and folklore. A must-visit stop for anyone exploring Vermont’s countryside and a perfect spot to capture peaceful, timeless moments. 🌉🍂

Lovely shop with beautiful glass work. Viewing room behind glass to wash glassblowing process. No public restroom, wheelchairs have access but not a safe environment for either the person or the glassware due to staging. Prices vary, but are $20.00 and above...also sells local jewelry. Worth the visit!

My favorite spot in the Waterbury/Stowe tourist lineup. Glen is amazing! So talented! Everything in the gallery is made by him. I’ve been stopping in this studio since I was a kid. I’m still in awe each time. The glass pieces are beautiful, artist, and well crafted. But the highlight is watching Glen in the studio blowing glass and creating!

I recently took a trip to Vermont with my husband and we had the privilege of see this master craftsman at work. The studio was very easily accessible and the studio was beautifully decorated with all his work. There was a viewing window with seating to watch him as he worked. Very friendly staff. A must see if you are in STOWE VT. I have a new appreciation for glass after seeing him work

You have the opportunity to watch them in action making the items that are for sale in the store. The staff are very friendly and are willing to chat about the process and answer questions. The store is full of beautiful pieces. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. We had a great time today.

The cafe prides itself on cleanliness and offers a menu filled with fresh and delicious options. This place is fantastic , the best prices I’ve seen in what feels like years. Classic diner feel, the meal filled me up, split a breakfast bowl that had 10 whole eggs in it for 10$. Most places charge you 3$ for an extra egg. My oat meal was yummy coffee was smooth, and our meal was complimented with 112 fantastic hot sauces. The lady working was warm and welcoming. This place is perfect being what it is.
Ayla B — Google review
Food is very good and plentiful at a reasonable price. I only rated service low because you order at the counter and they do bring it out to you, but there's no weight service or menus except what's on the wall. And the atmosphere is not quite a diner and not quite a restaurant. But it's a good quick stop if you happen to be in the area.
Thomas D — Google review
Maxi's closed early, so PRC it WA. ZERO REGRETS. Great breakfast bowl and an amazing hot sauce selection.
Eric L — Google review
Food was good, average. Waitstaff should spend a little more time waiting on customers (empty coffee cup) instead of chatting LOUDLY with the locals and complaining about everything. And DON'T look in the bathroom, DISGUSTING. Should have checked that out first and then left. That tells you a lot about the establishment, imagine the kitchen!

We put a to go order in at 11 am on a Wednesday for 4 sandwiches and a 12:15 pickup. We are professionals with a limited lunch window. We did not receive our food, and in fact watched them make it, until after 12:45. The reason given was a breaker issue. This is just a poor way to run a business. Close your doors when that happens or get poor reviews. We will not be going back and encouraging everyone else in our group to look elsewhere as well.

Nestled in the charming town of Stowe, the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum is a delightful destination for winter sports enthusiasts. Established in 1988 within the historic Old Town Meeting House, this museum serves as a tribute to Vermont's rich skiing and snowboarding heritage. Visitors can explore an impressive collection of over 10,000 artifacts that chronicle the evolution of ski equipment, clothing, and art.
Adorable little museum ($5 entrance) with the history of VT skiing. We saw the lost ski hill exhibit which was very interesting and now we notice some of those places when we drive around the state. Cool place to spend 30 minutes if you're into the evolution of skiing.

Hugues B — Google review
It is a small museum that brings together past and today. I learned a lot about the history of skies and also enjoyed the modern art graphic design exhibit downstairs. The posters in the shop are also fun and you never know what you will find sifting through the photos.
Meltem B — Google review
This was entertaining in terms of seeing the old ski equipment, ranging back about 100 years. Beware the museum is very small, so if you're tight on cash I probably wouldn't recommend. Nothing interactive and the descriptions of some of the items seemed very amateur.
Kate S — Google review
Frankly, not much there. What is there is ok and interesting, but just not much to look at, and some photos and artifacts weren't labeled so I didn't know what I was looking at. Other ski museums have much much more. But, if you have some time to kill while in town, it's a good stop.

Nestled in the heart of Waterbury, Vermont, Stowe Street Café is a charming coffee shop that perfectly captures the local spirit. This mellow spot is ideal for enjoying a light breakfast or lunch before embarking on outdoor adventures like hiking or mountain biking. The café boasts an inviting atmosphere adorned with local arts and crafts, making it a delightful place to relax. Their extensive menu features everything from fresh salads and hearty sandwiches to protein bowls and delectable baked goods.
Thick eggs, fluffy English muffins (which I don't normally like), and flavorful sausage puts this in my top 5 breakfast sandwiches in the state. The cinnamon roll is very unique. Thin and crispier than normal and almost crystalized in sugar. I definitely recommend trying them.
Mark H — Google review
This is a photo of the overcooked Belgian Waffle we were served. I’m not sure why the chef would actually put this on a plate to be served. Not 100% sure, but this waffle looked like it came right out the box and into the toaster. It’s pretty hard to overcook a waffle using modern day waffle makers. The biscuit / gravy and eggs were tasty. KC Bagels is the place to go for quick tasty bagels and SPACE to actually sit down and enjoy your breakfast.

Their breakfast sandwiches were incredible, pricey but delicious. The staff was really friendly and the food came out HOT which is fabulous. They have tons of indoor and outdoor seating.

We were visiting from North Carolina and decided to try this place. Received a friendly greeting explaining how to order there. Ordered the grilled cheese (I added bacon, my wife just got the plain grilled cheese). Seeing all the ingredients were locally sourced, we knew we were in for a treat. The real treat was unexpected, though. It came with a side of greens, which typically are an afterthought. Not so, these were fresh and crispy greens and lightly coated with the most delicious dressing that I later found out was a white grapefruit balsamic. I would recommend this establishment to anyone. After eating, check out the connected book store
Allison L — Google review
Have had good experiences here until today. I ordered online for pickup. There is an area that is clearly marked “pick up orders here”. I waited until >10 minutes after it was supposed to be ready and after I saw people who ordered in person after I arrived receive their food. I work in the area and was on a tight schedule. I checked in at the counter and was told that they hold hot orders at the counter, not at the pick up area (would be nice to have a sign to that effect). After the staff person rudely explained this to me, the cook realized that the order that had been sitting there for me was not at all what I had ordered. When I confirmed that, the staff person (again rudely) said “don’t worry, we will make you the right thing” and “ it WAS ready sitting up here.” When I finally got my food, it was half wrapped, falling out of a piece of foil that was too small. The icing on the cake was that it didn’t contain all the ingredients I ordered.
Kelly D — Google review
Slow. Not just a busy weekend slow, but disorganized, scattered, and frustrating. Multiple orders ahead of me had to be corrected further delaying mine. Plenty of patience for small local shops but not when they masquerade inflated prices and poor service as “charm”. Go to the bookstore instead and get a bagel around the corner at KCs.

McGillicuddy’s is a popular spot with a great beer selection and personal TVs at each booth. The Vermont Burger and Cheeseburger are highly recommended, along with the sweet potato fries. It's a nice, reasonably priced Irish pub in Waterbury, perfect for watching a game or enjoying some delicious food. Despite being the only restaurant open during a recent snowstorm, it attracted many patrons who enjoyed the flowing beer and pub fare.
Friendly staff and atmosphere. The food was excellent. Onion soup had tons of flavor, wings crispy. My wife had the Ruben and fries which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Nice array of 80s music. Several TVs to watch your favorite sports

Had a great lunch experience here. Morgan was our server and was also training a new server at the same time. She was very friendly and helpful the entire time. When we had a spill, she was quick to help us get it cleaned up. The burgers were DELICIOUS. kudos to their cook in the back because he nailed the temperature of the meat and the lettuce and tomato were crisp and fresh. Love the fries and you can tell their cut from fresh potatoes. Great atmosphere and having a TV in the booth to check out the Olympics was a very nice touch. Highly recommend this place!
Scott J — Google review
What happened? This used to be my go to place. Not so many tourists as in the rest of Waterbury. And food, while basic, was adequate and the bar was great. I just went here and what??? I got a drink and I was overcharged. In other words, they didn’t give me my change from a cash transaction. I left the tip accordingly, deducting from the change owed me. They never did this in the past. I will choose Montpelier establishments from now on.
D N — Google review
Quite the quaint experience, which matches the low-key vibe Vermont is known for. The primarily dark-wood interior and giant spirits dispenser behind the bar were harbingers of a cozy experience. I have yet to take an inclination to PGA matches, but what they did do was add cordiality to a box of wonders. The customer service had an air of magnanimity that ensured our visit was not an afterthought, but a labor of love. The wait for our food didn't discourage us because we knew in our hearts that food quality was the restaurant's lifeblood. As soon as my eye caught the Crispy Maple VT Chicken Sandwich, my priorities were set in stone. The maple drizzle carried just as much decadent weight as I anticipated, accenting the chicken in a "chicken & waffles" manner that almost makes me think they'd be the candidates for Deep South culinary impersonators (that's no complaint), while never once straying from the appeal of state specialties. Even though the breading was slightly too thick and the tomatoes chunkier than I felt would suit the dish, my adventure was gold on a plate. The beef in the tacos was also a high point of my visit. When my mother took it upon herself to share these beauts with me, I was grateful. Beneath a bed of lettuce and other stuffers, every bite of the meat melted on my tongue. If there's one thing I enjoy about a faraway trip, it's walking away with a memory steeped in appetizing delights. Give McGillicuddy's my sincerest regards.

THIS PLACE ROCKSSSSS! I traveled half the US to Vermont and was craving for a well made bagel. KC's did not disappoint. Service was quick and friendly, prices were reasonable, they had Joe's Tea (which is awesome), and we found a clean table to sit at and eat before heading back out. I wish I had more time in Waterbury or I'd have come back. The biggest plus was that they have garlic bagels. Haven't had one in decades; absolutely AWESOMEEEEEE! Beautiful views and the trails are pretty easy and great for all ability levels. The jump line is incredibly fun, the climbs aren't bad, and there's some new options out back. They do a great job taking care of the terrain, and it links into multiple other networks. Definitely worth visiting!

An excellent series of trails, some connections of which are not fully marked. It’s pretty tight, so anywhere you lose track of where you are you can travel another 0.1-0.25 miles along the trail and reconnect with a well-marked section of trail. Lots of roots, pretty challenging if you’re running or hiking depending on how your legs are, but a great variety. Sap bucket and macutchan are two easy trails where you can travel fast and enjoy the scenery without worrying about footing.
Blake R — Google review
Nice easy way to get out into nature not far from Stowe village. Easy footing and relatively flat for being nestled among mountains. The trails are fairly densely packed in places and not always super well marked. That said, it's easy to pick up the next turn and loop around. I did the main Cady Hill loop in less than 2h at a pretty casual pace taking pictures along the way. I encountered more mountain bikers than other hikers on a Saturday morning and saw two deer!

Great hike, very easy for new hikers. Very popular, many people on the trails running and biking. Wide trails which are clear of brush and debris. Maps posted at entrance and also about midway through the hike path I chose. I picked up 7 new birds on my Merlin app! :-) My group was walkers and we were constantly on the lookout for bikers - if that bothers you, stay away. It would be dangerous for very young kids or people who can't stay aware of oncoming bikers.

Stowe Bowl is not your average bowling alley. With its boutique and stylish atmosphere, this 8-lane venue offers more than just bowling; it's an entire experience. Enjoy delicious food and craft cocktails while you bowl, surrounded by state-of-the-art audio-visual features. Additionally, from April to October, visitors can also enjoy the 18-hole mini golf course with a unique uneven green design.
This bowling alley may be small, but it has a cozy atmosphere that puts you right in the midst of the action - be prepared to be close to other parties! The decor is beautiful, and although we didn't get a chance to try the food, it looked amazing. We'd absolutely go back!
Samantha — Google review
This place is amazing. Such a great layout, food hits the spot, Evan the bartender honestly makes the best cocktails in town. Way beyond what you would expect at a bowling alley. Worth coming in just for a well made libation. Miles makes it all happen. Thanks for a great night.
Emily N — Google review
Bowling here was a great experience — loved the setup and especially the bowling balls painted like billiard balls, such a fun touch. We ordered a couple appetizers while playing: the pretzel bites which were tasty, and the fried cheese curds, which ended up being our favorite.
BigHelmetMan — Google review
Evan was an amazing bartender! He put time and love into making the cocktails and boy, does it matter! Every drink was really well made and I can’t wait to go back!! Miles helped contribute to an awesome night! Highly recommend!!
Meg H — Google review
Hey this place was small but great. Nice bowling alley, you better make a reservation though. The food is adequate. Service is great.
D C — Google review
Evan.... This guy. An absolute all-star in the the bowling alley. If you haven't fallen in love with Vermont already, he'll certainly make sure you do. If you loved Vermont before you've had a cocktail from him, you'll love it even more. If you're visiting Stowe be sure to hit Stowe Bowl, roll a couple of strings, and be sure to see Evan at the bar. Talk to him about mixology, you won't be disappointed. This is top notch service from an even better gentleman. Get there!

Stopped here on a whim and had the best whiskey sour I've ever had in my life. Great environment and the staff is wonderful. Beautiful little bowling alley with amazing drinks!!
Smokey B — Google review
I met a friend here for a cocktail and had the Blackberry Bee’s Knees. It was delicious and refreshing but not overly sweet. There were a couple of birthday parties going on in the bowling area and the bar space was still comfortable for a conversation. The bartender and staff were all very friendly!

Hiking area
Pinnacle Meadows, part of the Stowe Land Trust, offers a picturesque hiking experience through unspoiled landscapes. Despite being popular, the trail rewards hikers with babbling brooks, panoramic summit views, and stunning seasonal displays. The route provides glimpses of the Worcester Range and the Green Mountains. For a more challenging trek, visitors can continue to the rocky summit of Stowe Pinnacle. The hike is manageable with proper attention to footing and offers breathtaking vistas at the top.
Fantastic hike. Incredible panoramic views. No snow. Moderate challenge. Excellent bang for your buck. Watch out for 'clothing optional' hikers.
Allen T — Google review
It was a beautiful hike up to Stowe Pinnacle via Pinnacle Meadow Trail. The parking lot holds a good 20+ cars and then you can park along the road. There is a port-a-potty at the parking lot. I recorded 3.5 miles round-trip and an elevation gain of 1,073 ft. Beautiful views and scenery. The first half mile is on a wide smooth trail. The next mile is through the trees with lots of roots and steep rocky sections.
Stewart C — Google review
Beautiful view at the top... bring a lunch! Ended up being 3.8 miles with steep, rocky sections.
Cindy H — Google review
I would not say this trail is easy. The first half is a dirt path that consistently gains elevation. Then you enter the woods and begin to have more uneven ground with roots and hills. About 60% of the way up, you come across three distinct rocky areas, some with stairs and some without. I'm of average size, and fairly low in fitness level, but I was able to go up the rocks with a few stopping points to catch my breath. I was a bit nervous on the rocky areas, and used my hands to help me climb. That is the only issue I had when reading other reviews saying this was an easier hike. I would say it is moderate and not easy, especially for older people. Once you make it about 90% up, you begin to smell the trees and it reminds you of the holiday season for Christmas. Really added to the magic of reaching the top! Well worth the hike, and highly recommend getting there early to have the top of the world to yourself for a moment.
Jennifer Q — Google review
Easy to moderate hike. Great to do at sunset or sunrise, quick and easy to get to the top and back down (1.5 hrs round trip)
Ryan G — Google review
Quite a challenging trail, took us about an hour to reach the top. View is definitely worth it. Got crowded at the top after we reached. (During labor day weekend) Parking space is limited(free), would suggest coming early. Restroom facility available in the parking.
J — Google review
very good 2ish hour hike. Some slight scramble but went with beginning hikers and they enjoyed. Recommend for the view point!
Harrop — Google review
Beautiful hike very tricky but was a beautiful wonderful day to get out and get on the trail. Wasn't busy going up but I wish some ppl would control their dogs as when going up a tricky spot with my wife we had a dog or two get in the way off leash. But over all was beautiful but def might be a one and done hiking bucket list as it's def got some spots

Non-denominational church
Located in the heart of Stowe's downtown, the Stowe Community Church is a historic non-denominational church that welcomes the community for Sunday services. Its pearly-white clock tower makes it a popular subject for photography, especially during the vibrant fall season when it contrasts beautifully with the colorful foliage. The church stands out as a unique Protestant landmark in rural Vermont and has become an integral part of the internationally recognized resort community, drawing people from diverse backgrounds and denominations.
The iconic white steeple of Stowe Community Church shows up in almost every image you see of Stowe. This church is worth the visit, whether you go inside or not. Just viewing from the outside is a breath of fresh air, but a must-see when visiting Stowe Village. There is plenty of nearby street parking and public parking lots, especially if you arrive earlier in the day when things are less busy/crowded.

Stowe Community Church is a beautiful and welcoming landmark right in the heart of Stowe, Vermont. The classic white colonial building with its tall steeple is instantly picturesque and looks amazing in every season—framed by snow in winter, colorful leaves in fall, or bright sunshine in summer.

A great place to visit for fall colors. I absolutely loved the scenic view being surrounded by the mountains this community church was located at the mountain itself. Nestled in the scenic surroundings of a former dairy farm, this 18-hole family putting course offers beautifully landscaped and contoured green courses, complete with natural obstacles like sand traps, rough grass, and fairway hazards. The park provides an authentic golfing experience with its well-maintained grounds and picturesque views of the surrounding mountains.
Really fun golf miniature golf course! They have sand traps and everything. If you rely on bouncing your golf ball off the walls to get down to the hole, this is not the course for you! There is some skill involved with this course, we loved it ❤️
Kyrstin ( — Google review
We played all 18 holes here and had a great time. The course isn’t heavily themed or over-the-top, but the hole designs are solid and well thought out. It’s definitely not an “easy win” course — no hole-in-ones for us this trip. Overall, a really enjoyable mini golf experience in Stowe.
BigHelmetMan — Google review
Went here with a large group of friends and had a good time. The course was pretty run down and the snack bar thing had no inventory (water, food, etc.). Staff was very nice though and it’s only $10 per adult.
Mike — Google review
Very good course... the turf was in great condition, and the course itself had good challenges... I recommend it for anyone looking for a good challenge.
Raphael M — Google review
Fun experience for a first time mini golfer. Make sure the flags are in each hole as they make it easier to see where you’re aiming. Overall fun experience.
Jen C — Google review
Was here about a dozen years ago before this upgrade. The holes actually undulate a bit and have real sand. Few edge guards, so ya can’t just haul off and slam it.
Alan B — Google review
Did a little reading and sunning in this pasture. Cant wait to go back! Stowe is a beautiful place!
Rhonda P — Google review
It is a good 18 hole mini golf course. The prices are good and the holes are reasonably challenging. The course does not include hidden tunnels, windmills or other moving obstacles. The challenges rely solely on slopes, sand traps, and rocks. You can play the course in 50-80 minutes.

Had a 90 minute massage today with Beth. She was professional and very personable. Massage was amazing. She incorporated Swedish, some deeper massage techniques and some cupping. Hunger Mountain Trailhead offers a challenging 4-mile hike with varying terrain, including larger boulders to climb towards the top. The trail provides stunning views and options for different difficulty levels. It's recommended for experienced hikers due to its steady steepness, especially in the last stretch. While some found it intense, they were rewarded with an amazing view at the top.
I really loved this hike. I got to the top in 1 hour 11 minutes. But at that rate it was pretty intense. It's about 4 miles total and the terrain towards the top is larger boulders you have to climb in some spots. 100% would recommend and I would love to take this trail when I had more time to go out the extensions.
JC R — Google review
Hiked with 8 and 10 yo kids. Took us 4 hours round trip. Total of 4.5 miles. Some wet and slippery spots, as well as some rock scrambling that slowed us down quite a bit. Lovely hike and we all really enjoyed it! Beautiful view from the top! Reminded us all of Mount Monadnock in NH:)
Michelle F — Google review
Hard trail for inexperienced hikers but still so fun and worth the views! Took us about 4.5hrs roundtrip. Definitely recommend to bring snacks/water, we were underprepared. The views are simply incredible. Lots of other hikers and pets around too.
Grace — Google review
Moderate hike for an experienced hiker. Slightly difficult if your not experienced. Great hike. Steady steep trail the whole time, until you get to the last .3 miles. The view is amazing! Just go for it and you wont regret it!
Christopher L — Google review
This is a great hike, but as it says, it's moderately hard. Actually, for me, hard, but not too hard. If I compare it to Camel's Hump, I'd say the level of fatigue at the end is similar in both hikes even though Camel's Hump is much longer. But my legs were more jelly-like after Hunger Mountain.
Ethan T — Google review
Great hike! It's a bit of a grind. It was drier than expected this most recent time and calm wind at the top (rare)
Stefanie S — Google review
We were driving on I-89 and decided for a small hike here. This place is around 15 miles drive from the highway. The road till the trailhead was well maintained in winter too. But, the road after the trailhead was not maintained. The trail has good view and few options with different difficulty levels.

Visitors are advised to bring snowshoes and walking sticks during winter as the trail can be tricky in some spots. It's recommended not to hike alone and to inform someone of your hiking plans before heading out.
Great hiking Trail. ***If you go in winter, it would be a good idea to bring snow shoes, walking stick. Be prepared. The trail to Sunset Rock can be tricky at some locations, but not too difficult. Do not not go alone, and leave a note in your card stating your hiking intention. Also note, the other Google map location that shows Sunset Rock near Sunset Street, the is NO PARKING on Sunset Street. You would have to park in town somewhere and walk to that location.
Francis G — Google review
Good place to hike and get a nice view of Stowe. Didn’t go there during sunset so I did not get the awesome view but would definitely go back to check it out
N I — Google review
10-15 min easy walk to sunset rock; the parking space is enough for about 5 cars.
W. L — Google review
Fantastic place to walk up and see the Stowe valley.
Richard K — Google review
If you want a shortish incline to scale and workout with this is an Ok destination if you are staying right near the central Stowe area. There is one sweet view at the top. But do realize the greater area here has equal or better view points of the mountains. It's also not very clear if there is a 'specific' rock attributed to the namesake. The parking is limited, but you can actually drive to the end of the road where there is a bit more space.
Bradley D — Google review
We hiked here hoping to see something but it ends on a whole bunch of tall trees. It was a small hike from parking to Sunset Rock.
