Outdoor Activities
Gorleston-on-Sea Beach, situated in the southern part of Great Yarmouth, is a picturesque destination known for its expansive sandy shore, beautiful riverbank, and wide harbor. The beach seamlessly transitions into a charming promenade and cliffside gardens. Adventure enthusiasts can indulge in activities like bodyboarding, surfing, and windsurfing near the beach. Gorleston on Sea offers a classic seaside experience with dog-friendly stretches that are cleaner and quieter compared to other nearby beaches.
When we read some reviews it did make us laugh or thought perhaps there was some sarcasm (I’m sure someone said squint and u could be in the Maldives). However I did see their point. What an amazing deep beach with soft sand and vigorous sea. Not to choppy not to calm. Loads of space on the beach. I could t see it ever getting packed or to busy. Parking might be an issue perhaps in high season but it would be worth the struggle. Loads of places to eat and drink. Public toilets, arcades, ice creams etc. we will be going back as the beach alone is well worth the visit.
Ashley W — Google review
Really lovely beach. We visited with 2 little kids and had an amazing time! Easy (free) parking on the street running alongside the coastline, easy walk down to the beach. Miles of sand, a lot of it dry and comfy to sit on, then some sections of pebbles, and as the sea goes out, more lovely sand. The beach was clean, though we did find a few bits of litter to pick up on our way out. We were there on a hot sunny day in late July, and it wasn't overly busy, loads of space to spread out and play. We arrived at 10am, and parked easily, though I suspect we'd have been a street or so further back if arriving around midday or later. No dogs on the beach (it may be that they're allowed outside of summer though?), so its safe for kids to play without fear of stepping in anything, or being knocked down by racing dogs. There's a lifeguard station, watching an area for swimming between flags, a splash pad (opens at 10am, kids loved it!), and a large pond for model boats. Adjacent to the beach, there are public toilets (near the Pier Hotel), and while a little smelly, they were fine for beachside public toilets. Outside these there are also 2 taps for rinsing feet etc. Overlooking the beach there is an arcade, an ice cream parlour (absolutely amazing!!) and a chip shop/cafe (chips were good). We also visited 2 days prior when it was raining, and had lunch in the storm house cafe (food sensibly priced and decent, nothing fancy but an easy place to stop in). The rain stopped, and we wandered the beach, toddler throwing stones at the waves, and playing in the drier sand. We had the beach to ourselves as far as we could see! I really don't think I can praise it enough, we had a great time and will be back! It's much more sedate than somewhere like Yarmouth, so if you're looking to avoid huge crowds and masses of people packed onto the beach, it's a superb place to go.
Kerry C — Google review
Superb beach and surroundings. Loads of stuff to do, from walking, sun bathing or even staying with your little one at the splash zone. Great choice of restaurants and bars to enjoy throughout the area. Loads of parking available at the pier parking. The beach is very sandy, however when getting closer to the water-line it gets a bit rocky and has loads of pebbles and stones. If you are a bit more sensitive when walking on rocky/pebbles, definitely recommend getting some water shoes. Water is quite wavy but at the same time it is lovely. It is a bit cold, even when outside there's 26 degrees for 2 straight days.
Adrian I — Google review
Great beach, miles of sand to walk and play on. Always busy. Walk on the prom plenty of benches to sit on and places to eat and drink. Worth a visit.
Paula B — Google review
Wonderful place to sunbathe, enjoy a refreshing swim as the water doesn't retreat as much compared to other beaches. Really great spot since it's close to many restaurants, pubs, shops, parking, etc. The water is very clean, a bit cold even when temps are above 25 degrees on full sunny days. The overall beach is amazing, it's very sandy, however it is very rocky and has a lot of small stones/ pebbles closer to the water.
Roxana P — Google review
Gorleston-on-Sea is a really beautiful place. The beach is wide, clean, and never feels too crowded. The views are stunning, especially on a sunny day, and the promenade is perfect for walking or sitting with an ice cream. There are lovely cafés and fish and chip shops nearby, and parking is easy. The atmosphere is calm and friendly — perfect for families, couples, or anyone who wants a peaceful seaside day. One of the nicest spots on the Norfolk coast — always worth the visit.
Amciui C — Google review
I heard that this beach is quite quiet compared to the other beaches in Great Yarmouth so we decided to give it a try as we wanted to take our young toddlers to the beach for the first time. Really lovely beach and has a few shops and cafes spotted around, however we were there quite early on a Monday so not sure if more open later on / over the weekend. We also managed to find the Banksy art piece which was a nice surprise! Always wanted to see a Banksy art piece up close! Also there is another art piece that is dedicated to the film ‘Yesterday’ which I saw a few years back and had no idea that the end scene was shot here which was pretty cool to see being a film geek. There’s loads of car park choices and we choose the Pier parking which is £3 for 2 hours and can be sorted using the internet / QR code, so if you’re out and about and want more time you can just extend the time if needs be. Overall great beach if you’re looking for somewhere ‘less hectic’ seaside wise.

Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach is a vibrant amusement park located on the Golden Mile by the beach. It covers a vast nine-acre area and offers an array of attractions suitable for all ages. From thrilling roller coasters to traditional rides, there's something for everyone. The park also features Pleasure Beach Gardens catering to younger children, as well as amusement arcades and various dining options.
My new favourite Amusement Park not in Staffordshire or Lancashire! No ride queues and I went on a Saturday in summer! Granted i was with the group which got an extra 2 hours, but still...
Ripsaw P — Google review
Came today. we paid for a card on entry. Easy to use, and you can top up/check balance in lots of places in the park. Most rides are for young kids, nothing too extreme. The wooden roller coaster and monorail were good. Staff seemed friendly, especially the lady at the entrance. Excellent customer service 👍

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had an amazing day at Great Yarmouth Beach – perfect for a fun family outing! The soft sand and lovely sea made it such a relaxing experience. It wasn’t too busy, which was a nice surprise, and the atmosphere was great. We enjoyed some fresh fish and chips by the sea – absolutely delicious and full of flavour! The only downside was the number of seagulls (they really love the chips!), but it didn’t spoil the day. All in all, a fantastic spot for some seaside fun. Highly recommended!

We visited here on a Wednesday evening, for the late opening hours, in late July and arrived at half five, meaning we could take advantage of the late evening wristband pricing (£17 for 5 until 9:30). There are also fun cards at £5 or £10 which offer 5 or 10 ride credits and can be topped up inside the park. However suspect the latter are a false economy if you have more than 2 or 3 rides - especially in the evening, as most main rides are 4 or 5 credits. There was a fair size of queue to the ticket booth but it moved quickly and probably only took 5 to 10 minutes to get to the entrance. There is a good range of flat rides and four coasters, with all costers being aimed at family-friendly. The wooden roller coaster is the oldest in the UK and has a brake man riding on the train. While not the smoothest or comfiest ride, it is good to ride a bit of history. The remaining three are Family Star, a short spinning wild mouse and two small kiddy coasters. The flat rides are good variety, with spinning and drops and also a gyro swing. What struck us was that the park was relatively quiet for school holiday season and queues were short. The ride throughput would be increased further if the very slow wristband scanning was not performed - not really sure why this is needed as takes a got 10 seconds to read each one, based on our experience. Food offerings are OK - there is a large hot food stall that does hotdogs (not so good), burgers (better) and loaded fries (decent) amongst other offerings. All in all, worth a visit even in peak summer as really never felt busy and plenty of ride opportunities.
Ian A — Google review
Went as a family. You can get 5 credits to get in and use on one ride if going with a group of kids. The food hall and bar are great. The rides make it more like a smaller fair rather than a pleasure beach like Blackpool but still great.
Gary A — Google review
A Fantastic Day Out at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach! We had an amazing time at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach! There’s a perfect mix of classic rides, family-friendly attractions, and thrill-seeking roller coasters. The historic wooden roller coaster is an absolute must-try – a true blast from the past! The park was clean, well-organised, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the day. Entry with the wristband is great value for money, especially if you’re planning to go on lots of rides. It’s also right by the beach, so we could enjoy the rides and then relax with some fish and chips on the seafront. Plenty of food options, clean toilets, and seating areas made it comfortable for families. Whether you’re visiting with kids, friends, or as a couple, it’s a great spot for some good old-fashioned fun. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be back next summer!
A J — Google review
I couldn't really find anything to fault here yesterday with three bored kids. Despite it being a Peak Season Sunday all the queues were very short, just a couple of minutes. A little longer for the big coaster but even that was less than ten minutes. Every ride looked to be well staffed, no litter in sight. The guy manning the Dodgems literally couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, he gave the impression he genuinely wanted to be there. Over the course of the day my lads went on about thirty(!) rides each, so they got superb value from their 'all rides' wristbands. The only thing I could ask was for some concessions for Blue Light card holders, other than that, an easy five stars!

So its the end of summer, the rain is biblical, but Great Yarmouth still saved a little magic for us. Rainbows over the beach. Oh, and a cheeky ice cream. The great British summer delivers.

Aquarium
SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth is a family-friendly attraction located on the famous seafront of Great Yarmouth. It offers a variety of sea creatures, including blacktip reef sharks, African dwarf crocodiles, and clownfish. Visitors can explore the world of jellyfish in the Jelly Invaders display, observe Humboldt penguins, and walk through an ocean tunnel surrounded by a quarter-million liters of seawater.
Visit the sea life centre at least once a year. We absolutely love it. Lots of information points as you walk around about the animals around you. We particularly enjoy the submarine that you can walk into and see animals much closer, including the sting rays and blue lobsters.
Catherine B — Google review
Ignore what it says online as its says to be there for the time you booked but getting there you get a stamp and are told you can come and go as you please! So this is great if you wanna hear all the talks or go in and out and get a coffee. Place needs a damn good clean!!! But other than that still nice to look around! The talks and feedings were great too!
Natasha P — Google review
My son had a lovely time touching the starfish and little waterfall, and loved the sharks. Staff were understanding of his autism and that was much appreciated, cool octopus there too! Going to take him to see the penguins next time. Prices were better too off season, only £16 pp, and a free ticket for a carer if you're on PIP, so saved £16 too. Overall good activity for kids and adults alike, but the gift shop is very expensive! Avoid at all costs if possible haha! Only a stone's throw away from places to get food and drink too, and right on the sea front, bowling alley on the nearby Wellington Pier and arcades also. Very well situated, also close to Pleasure Beach. I'd recommend it to anyone with kids.
Elvira N — Google review
Walk through tunnel was lovely, good for the kids to see the animals well. In the room with yellow submarine, you were about to previously purchase food and feed the fish. There was a crocodile which you don't always see at sealife centres. Option to touch a starfish too. Nice as you could pay a little extra and it got you entry to the Giant Wheel too! Gift shop is very large, took kids a long time to pick something.
Charlotte N — Google review
Not as big as other Sealife Centre s but still plenty to see and do. The café was reasonably priced and the bathroom facilities were very clean. Ample room to change the baby.
Christine C — Google review
Highly recommended to book ticket online since it has discount for blue light card or student etc. The ticket allowed you to go in and out for a day multiple times. Although I must say this aquarium is not as big as others we had been like London, Newquay, Weymouth and Birmingham. Having said that we enjoyed the tunnel watching, penguin, fresh water fish, amphibians and experience on touching star fish.
Serene D — Google review
Our first visit to Great Yarmouth and to the Sea Life Centre been to Blackpool one years ago. This was a different set up bit smaller but nicely set out with Real Penguins talks were imformative and interesting Tanks clean and tidy enjoyable experience cafe clean and plenty of room with clean toilets. Can re-enter after you have left which is a bonus and makes it good value
Paul A — Google review
Visited the SeaLife centre with my daughter whilst on holiday at Great Yarmouth. Bought the tickets in advance. I did get my hand stamped as they said I could enter the shop and cafe anytime that day up to 3pm. Soon as we entered there was a member of staff waiting to take photos for us to purchase at the end. It was good, not as big as the one in London tho, we saw the penguins 🐧 the sharks, loads of fishes, sea horses, octopus 🐙 (can’t believe they have 9 brains 🧠 and 3 hearts)once we came to the end we did purchase our photos they did have a deal (we got 2 photos 2 magnets and 2 small keyring sized pics for £20) then we stopped off to have a look in the gift shop. Overall it was a nice experience as this was our first time visiting the Great Yarmouth SeaLife. 👍🏻

Nestled along the picturesque South Beach Parade in Great Yarmouth, Merrivale Model Village is a delightful destination that promises to enchant visitors of all ages. This charming attraction features an intricately designed model village complete with a stunning garden railway, whimsical penny arcade, and engaging mini-golf course.
Absolutely loved visiting this place while we were on holiday - we brought tickets and was able to go again for free withing the week of purchase. Friendly staff, even have a little miniature golf course. My little boy absolutely loved watching the fish in the pond. Would definitely reccomend if this is something youre interested in.

Theme park
Joyland is a long-standing family-owned amusement park located in the vibrant seaside town of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Established in 1949, this free-entry attraction offers an array of thrilling rides for children, including the famous Tyrolean Tub Twist and Snails ride. The park features a Toy Town Mountain with attractions like the Spook Express Kiddie Coaster and Neptunes Kingdom Undersea Fantasy Ride. Visitors can also enjoy a traditional American diner for refreshments.
Small theme park for young children. The rides are very well kept considering their age. It's like stepping back in time but in a good way. I have childhood memories of going on the same rides that my daughter has now had a ride on including the snails.
Kev L — Google review
Been coming here for 40 years, still love it. Snails are still a highlight. It's so small and tightly packed that it's a bit claustrophobic though. Very hard with a wheelchair to get around without bashing into everyone else. That being said, still amazing for the kids.
Steven W — Google review
Really liked Joyland, its not huge but just right for the older kids that can get on by themselves. I do like the token system and like how they give you stickers with your number on it to access your pictures at the end. The time we went wasn't soo busy so was pleasant. Little cramped but otherwise really good, would go again!
Ateeqah S — Google review
Brilliant we all had such fun on the 18 hole pirate crazy golf. It also has facts about pirates on the way round
Stu M — Google review
We visited on a quiet day and most rides were open. We wanted to see the famous Snails Ride for which Joyland is known for and we was not disappointed. There it was stood in glamour, opened in 1949 and still there to it's day. Joyland is a young children's Amusements park with rides just for them. You pay via tokens and entrance is free. You can find a video of our visit on our youtube channel.
New T — Google review
Amazing and completely unique family run amusement Park. Suitable for every single age group without exception! No visit to Gt Yarmouth is complete with a ride on the snails. Lots of fun and incredibly nostalgic.
Corine S — Google review
we visited last week, i DID NOT feel the joy guys, We rode the snails, very excited for this, The man operating it was extremely rude. I asked if there was a specific place my daughter should sit & his response was, I don’t know i just work here…snatched the tokens and looked away. Leaving me to scramble into the snail and just figure it out. The vibe was completely off & we left. If you are going to call yourself joyful at least make sure your staff are joyful & care about safety.

Great day out. I have been coming here 30 years since I was a child I am now taking my children and to my delight it’s exactly the same as it was back then it’s so amazing to see such a Gem unchanged as the times move so fast. Only thing different was the price as to be expected. 10/10

The Time and Tide Museum of Great Yarmouth Life is a captivating maritime museum located in a converted Victorian warehouse that was once used for herring curing. The museum offers an immersive journey through the history of Great Yarmouth, from its Ice Age origins to its development as a popular seaside resort. Visitors can explore reconstructed Victorian row houses, experience life on board a drifter, and step into a 1950s fish wharf scene.
Brilliant museum and well worth a visit. Perfect for a chilly day on the coast. We spent good few hours here learning the history of the local area and the building itself. There was also a fab exhibition on Automata that my son loved.

Definitely worth visiting. Give yourself plenty of time. So at least 2 hours. You could easily go longer.Lots of things to keep both young and old entertained. We booked the tickets online. There's a carpark nearby if you're driving. Staff were kind and helpful. There was a special exhibition of 50 years of Miffy which was equally enjoyable. Certainly recommend as an great day out for the family

Really nice Pier with plenty to do. Has a theatre with great shows, funfair at the end of the Pier. Fun pub that is open seasonal. I didn't get to go in here but looked good. Great Yarmouth Beach boasts a 15-mile stretch of sandy shoreline and dunes, featuring piers and a variety of boardwalk attractions. Whether you prefer bustling summer hotspots or quieter areas, the beach offers something for everyone. From donkey rides to bouncy castles, there are plenty of activities to enjoy along the Golden Mile.
First time at Great Yarmouth and we loved it! We stay not to far from the beach and main attractions. We got most things covered in the 2 days we were there. Really clean, lots of places to eat from, lots of attractions for the kids. Will definitely be coming again

Large, clean and welcoming beach. Very well looked after and nice and sandy too. Dogs are permitted, but not in all areas which is understandable. Long coastline and has lots of walks available too

Lovely clean promenade. Nice walk with a sea view next to a wide sandy beach. Loads of amenities, food and souvenir shops. Not the cheapest though especially kids rides and activities usually £6 to £8 per child and for 15 mins only. Britannia Pier entry free. The arcade is huge and plenty to do. Overall it's a well maintained area, recommended.

Not been to Yarmouth since I was a kid in single figures... but I remember a sunny packed beach and deckchairs... hundreds of em, shows my age, nobody on it now, plenty of room for bouncy castles though... whatever happened to the deckchair hire? Times change! Beach a mixture of sand pebbles and odd bits of rubbish, sign of the times i suppose. Seafront pretty busy though, plenty of arcades to dispose of your hard earned cash by the kids, not a great deal else to do bar drag em round the shops moaning....
Christopher M — Google review
Model village and attached cafe were nice enough, beach is fairly featureless and very uninviting walking past a very tall fence surrounding the pleasure park which was closed. Getting there was a chore with lots of traffic and going through the maze of ratty one way streets. Felt like a waste of a day's holiday and won't be going back.
Hamish C — Google review
Great promenade with food, souvenir shops and amusements. Beach a bit pebbly but fine at the top end in the dunes.

The National Trust - Elizabethan House Museum is a captivating heritage site located in the heart of the Heritage Quarter. Concealed behind a Georgian facade, this 16th-century merchant's house offers a glimpse into Tudor times with its collection of 1500s furniture and art. Visitors can also enjoy a dress-up room featuring period costumes and armor. The house holds historical significance as it was frequented by Oliver Cromwell and served as a meeting place for Parliamentarians during the Civil War.
If you can forgive the self indulgent photos, I love the period costumes which you get an opportunity to see and try on. Go room to room visiting what life may have been like for the wealthy that lived, lay, dined, plotted maybe... View the articles and written information, climb the haunted staircase... OK so it wasn't haunted as such but felt like it could be, should be. Lots to see so allow yourself some time to take it in. I love history so was there around 40 minutes. There is on street parking nearby or at car parks. Do check for opening times.. and there are concessions. Visited on heritage days so was free however still great value

A National Trust property, situated close to the waterfront. This particular property has passed through a number of hands, and over the years, it has been quite substantially modified and restructured. It is not one of the grand mansions so often preserved by the National Trust, just the typical residence of a wealthy local merchant. Because of its size, there are only a few staff available, and they mostly work in the shop on the ground floor. There is a short video running on a loop in the first downstairs room, and this offers a good introduction to the property and its various owners. It's worth highlighting that some of the information is factual, but some is based upon local belief with limited documentary evidence. As you go around the property, you get a good sense of how it might have looked during the various stages of occupation. Of particular note is the wood panelling in the different rooms. There are various things added in, such as different initials and numerous carvings. In one room, there is a particularly splendid ceiling of moulded plaster. As others have noted, there was some replica clothing available to try on: even adults occasionally like to play "dress up"! On the upper floors, there were some interesting and informative displays, including a room set-up as a 17th-century birthing room and rather more randomly, a slightly more modern children's play room. An eclectic mix! Amongst the displays in the lower rooms were a number of domestic utilities from the various periods, including tools, utensils, crockery, etc. By the back door into the garden is a very interesting item that most seem to miss; a hand operated pump that would be used to draw water up into the sink. All in all, it is a fascinating look into the past. You should note that there is no parking on site, but there is a pay and display car park a short walk of about 100 metres, a few roads behind the house.

Interesting place to visit at the historic quay area away from seafront crowds. Friendly welcome, free parking nearby, (South quay car park)or some reasonable ones on Ring go app.

Lovely bit of history lies with in Great Yarmouth hidden along river yare. Perfect For hour or two activity. It can be perceived As stepping back in time. Educational too.
Tai M — Google review
Intriguing restoration/recreation of an Elizabethan town house in Great Yarmouth that's also historically important, as important people who visited the house plotted the execution of Charles I. right here, in the so-called "Conspiracy Room". Which is also the most fascinating room in the house and includes a number of interesting artefacts. It's not clear whether Oliver Cromwell ever visited the house himself, but that hardly matters - it's steeped in history as it is. The museum is run by "National Trust", and the entrance price of UKP 6.50 (adult ticket) is totally justified. The volunteer at the information desk was very friendly and helpful. You'll get a glimpse into everyday early 17th to 19th century upper middle class life, too. There's a kitchen, a study room, a bedroom, and more - but it's the "Conspiracy Room" that seals the deal. Plenty of info boards around to make you understand the exhibits better. One of the few historic sights in this town, definitely worth a visit (won't take you more than an hour). You can also relax for a bit in the small back garden.

Nice little museum, one of a few little hidden ones around Yarmouth. Good history of the house and the civil war period.

Good museum in great Yarmouth a building with quite a lot of history over the years, I know it's known as the elizebethen house but most of the stuff inside was from the victoriana era, but still a beautifull house to say the least, few areas needed some repairs but overall was a good visit. Plenty to see but doesn't take that long to get around and if you have a national trust membership it's free.

The Pavilion Theatre & Bandstand in Gorleston is a historic venue that has been hosting live shows and music for over 120 years. Originally part of a project to transform Gorleston into a seaside resort, the Pavilion was the only structure that came to fruition. Designed in an Italian terracotta style, it opened in 1898 and continues to be a popular destination for plays, pantomimes, musicals, concerts, and the 26-week summer Showtime.
A fantastic theatre that boasts an amazing array of acting memorabilia that makes you feel as if you are stepping back in time. A very warm welcoming feeling as you enter the theatre. The staff are professional, friendly and attentive. Worth popping in just for a Cuppa to experience and view the amazing collection of memorabilia that surrounds you.

Always friendly and helpful when I telephone, great selection of shows throughout the year, lovely building and plenty of parking nearby. Staff friendly and a marvellous coffee and tea buffet serving crisps and biscuits. Comfortable seats and clean toilets. They sell Lakenham Creamery ice cream which is made locally and excellent. Pavilion Players out on wonderful shows, thoroughly enjoyed Funny Money last night, thought I had lost my phone last night and a member of staff helped me look for it and kindly called it so it could be found, so very grateful for the assistance. Several shows already booked for the year and looking forward to returning soon.

Just seen the Summertime Special with Olly Day and cast. WOW where else can you get such a great show with only a cast of 8. They were fantastic, fabulous singing, dancing and aerial work. Comedy and magic, mime and music. Ice cream at interval was delicious 😋 we will be back for more
Lauren B — Google review
The theatre while being a lovely old fashioned venue and the show we went to see was of a good quality, I can only state in fairness that the staff appear to be running a priority service for relatives of staff members. We encountered a very rude and obnoxious woman who appeared to be under the impression that as one of her relatives was a manager there she could behave in a very rude manner to other paying guests when a mix up in seating occured she became very aggressive towards me, demanding I show her my ticket, which I refused to do and snatched the table arrangement card out of my hand, when she then proceeded to go and get said management he refused to make the woman apologise for her behaviour and treated my husband and I as if we had been the agressors. We will not be visiting this venue again.

Twelve members of our golf society visited gorleston golf club on Wednesday 1st of march, we took advantage of their winter special. We had an excellent full english breakfast served by lovely friendly staff. We played 18 holes on a very nice well kept course after the round we went into the clubhouse for a couple of lagers at very reasonable prices a fantastic day out we will definitely be playing there again a big thankyou to all the staff who made our day very enjoyable. Visited for a practice round, course was in great condition with the greens rolling great. Pin positions were interesting on many holes. Very friendly, lovely club house with great prices on beer and food, they even accepted cash which is great to see.

A real hidden gem of a golf course. Right on the cliff top. Lovely staff and very welcoming. Don’t go home without playing first !
James K — Google review
Hidden gem! Played here on 7th July in a four ball visiting from Hertfordshire, and had a superb links experience. Course was immaculate, particularly the greens. The short par 4 first eases you into the round, but the relative simplicity is offset by nerves teeing off from a tiny tee box right in front of the clubhouse! This is followed by a challenging but brilliant front 9, including a stretch (5, 6, 7 and 8) along the North Sea coastline, which happened to mostly be into the teeth of a strong wind for us. Back 9 is just as fun and includes two woodland-style holes for some momentary respite on a windy day, before an excellent 3-hole finish. Practice facilities: large putting green (as immaculate as the course) and some nets to loosen up. Pro shop: extremely welcoming, and well-stocked. Particularly useful as one of our group left his golf shoes 120 miles away back home. Clubhouse: perfect to sit back and assess the scorecard damage. Highly recommend the homemade sausage roll. In all, we had a great time and certainly hope to return!

Great Yarmouth Row Houses offer a fascinating glimpse into the past, showcasing early 17th-century merchant homes nestled near the historic quayside. As you wander through this unique area, you'll discover remnants of Great Yarmouth's original Rows—narrow alleyways that connect the town's main streets. Although many of these charming houses were lost during World War II, the surviving Row Houses stand as a testament to their rich history.

If you're looking for an exhilarating day out in Great Yarmouth, Jump Warehouse is the place to be! This vibrant trampoline park offers a fantastic experience for both kids and adults, featuring interconnected trampolines, angled walls, and even slam-dunk basketball nets. After bouncing around, you can relax at their café with a selection of hot and cold refreshments while keeping an eye on the little ones.
Booked online in advance - very well organised and quick to book in. Children got armbands to demonstrate which session we were there for and once the previous session ended they were on & having fun. Lovely size place & good cafe and seating for non-jumpers to sit and watch - the iced latte was delicious! Children had a fabulous time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

What a day was had at Jump at Great Yarmouth! Days with our granddaughter are special and to find something she loved was a wonderful feeling, you’re so limited in the winter! She played for hours, and they made her a lovely lunch of a sandwich and crisps and a drink- what a lovely friendly team! There was a few bits and pieces of dirt around the areas which we’d expect with young kids but it’s always a worry when at that age they put everything in their mouths- but it’s hard to keep Clean with so many happy children running around all the time, liked how you booked a slot so it wasn’t over crowded. Jump- you were great! Definitely will be coming back xx

Just finished an amazing session at Jump Warehouse with my 5 children. It has been at least a year since I last visited here. Harmony and Simon were very friendly and accommodating throughout our time there today. Simon is excellent at engaging with customers/children getting everyone involved and having fun. Even had me doing front flips with my kids 😂 Harmony helped out with anything required and was very knowledgeable when I was asking questions. I can't fault Simon or Harmony at all, superb customer service and are a real credit to Jump Warehouse. 100% I and my children will be returning. Did not break the bank like most activities do nowadays. Children really enjoyed themselves, staff were excellent, and a massive improvement with staff interactions since my last visit.
John M — Google review
Just had our daughters birthday party and slightly disappointed with the lack of support from the staff that seemed like they didn't even want to be there. Asked for some more plates and cups as not all plates and cups were put out for all the children, my wife went to the café and was bluntly told to go to reception, reception told her to go to the cafe. After 5 minutes of to and fro one of the parents saw the other room was being sorted out so he went and got some of the lady.. this was so embarrassing as the kids without plates or cups couldn't have anything to eat or drink, and when they finally did, most of the other kids had already finished. Also may I add that it wasn't clear that when booking that the cost of the sock were not included in the price also some of the kids brought there own but were told they couldn't use them because they were not there socks so bear this in mind, small moan but it had to be said. I point out again that the staff didn't seem that helpful or even seemed like they didn't want to be there, and this was raised to us by The other children's parents as well... Good points food was great, very clean and presentable
Tim S — Google review
Online bookings in advanced only. I took my 6 year old with SEN and my 13 year old. 13 year old seemed to enjoy it, 6 year old hated it and wanted to leave less than 20 minutes after we got there. We went during the SEN session they run which I could not fault. Lights were suitable, limited number of bouncers and music was kept to a level which I would say suits those with complex SEND needs. The staff were friendly, though didnt really explain anything when we got there, just expected that we knew what was going on and where things where. Its a nice place, the reason I'm only giving 4 stars is the lack of variety in what was available. While I was there, there was the small, multi level soft play area, multiple single and double trampolines and 2 basketball trampolines. The air bag jump was closed, but it didnt look like there was much else going on here. As I say, I'm giving it 4 stars for the lack of variety here compared to other trampolines I've been to.
Martin B — Google review
Me and my daughter went to the toddler and parent session great value for money but the fact it’s not clean it’s just rank they also make a massive thing about wearing socks yet don’t say anything to people who don’t wear them.

#Fantastic A great #investment whether a local or a visitor to Great Yarmouth. Kids love it!!!! Adults can getvdrink cake, snacks while they watch.. They can jump too!! Why not:) Lockers provided if needed. Good value BUT... you will need to buy their socks be aware... #SafetyReasons Love it here and fully reccomend it as a local and advertised it on a local radio station I run. Great job Jump warehouse.

When arriving for a “SEN SESSION” they refused my client as they wasn’t apart of iceni and didn’t have a waiver when previously they have never been asked for a waiver, they come every week and all the staff know her yet will refuse her entry this time! I think it’s disgusting and discrimination at its finest, I don’t recommend it at all!!!!

Had a mixed gammon and beef roast, was lovely food and very friendly staff, only downfall was what seemed to be a regular drinker in the pub that approached myself making inappropriate comments. My partner pointed out that he’d sniffed my neck whilst I was ordering food at the bar. We Enjoyed our food but was easily distracted and made to feel uncomfortable as we noticed he’d done the same to other women in the pub.

Popped in for dinner after work. First time in the area and a very welcome team at the bar took our drink order then our food order. Makes a huge impact to have a nice welcome and amazing service when coming into somewhere new. Food was superb. The burgers were perfect. No frills or over the top selection of toppings. And the BBQ beef bites, delicious, fell to bits as you cut and bit into them. Good portion sizes for the price. If and when I come back to the area, I will be back for some more food and amazing service.

A great charitable cause run by volunteers. Kids loved seeing what was in the shop both at beach front in the police hut where it doubled as an RNLI shop and in the lifeboat house where they shopped for toys and seen a real lifeboat that has recently been out to sea and an old lifeboat which is the centrepiece of the shop run by a very smiley and friendly volunteer who explained to our children about the lifeboats. Great place for people to find out about the often dangerous work carried out by dedicated volunteers in order to save others.

Ocean Bay Amusements is a fantastic family-run arcade that offers endless fun for everyone. The staff are attentive and helpful, ensuring that all the games are fair and in working order. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, making it a great place for families to enjoy. Visitors have praised the wide variety of modern machines with fair payback ratios, as well as the exciting prizes on offer. It's highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and friendly atmosphere with plenty of entertainment options.
What an amazing arcade! A proper family run arcade where you can have endless fun with all the games inside, we tended to stay on the coin dozers as that's the one we knew how to play. The games were fair, and all staff were really helpful and tentative and tended to our needs if anything was jammed or if we had any questions or needed additional coins to play. The arcade / toilet facilties were tended to regulary and really clean. One thing that astounded us was the prizes that were on offer. My wife and I were really impressed with our winnings and the quality, and as you can see, we won a lot! Thanks guys, and we hope to visit again and would highly recommend visiting this arcade, which in our opinion is 100% better than the ones you would find in Great Yarmouth beach and pier where you can tell straight away you wont win anything.

What a great amusement arcade. Fantastic staff, very clean premises. You see the guys out cleaning the glass which you dont see in many places. This is our 2nd year coming and spending our days at this amusement area. Can't fault this family arcade. 2p machines offer great prizes for the children. We will be back next year and I am sure the standards will met expectations. To conclude we got the mario lego for the 8500 tickets and had a great week collecting the tickets.

I went to it, thought it was good at first until I spent around 20 pounds on a machine, I tell them the toy wasn't moving and even gave them evidence, yet the ignored me. Whilst leaving I also realised how ridiculously overpriced it was. 1star

Out for a walk on my own and stopped by for a cup of tea and had a lovely, freshly cooked steak burger with all the trimmings. A lovely little amusenent park with fun rides ideal for young families is located at same site. Will be bringing my grandchildren here when I have some.

Came upon this place while on holiday having a wonder , such a lovely place for kids, free to get in and only 2.50 a ride or less The rides were great and different to the same old ones at the pier etc my 2 year old had a great day , its family owned and really clean and taken care of! Definitely recommend for holiday makers near by , so much better then pier or joy land and better prices and atmosphere

Friendly staff and we enjoyed ourselves for an hour. I bought a £20. bag of tokens, had a few rides and will come back a few more times for "free" now. Good for all ages. Personally, my boy and I didn't like the dogs that were there, although on leads, when they barked it made us both a bit anxious, but that's my only criticism. Oh and that I put a £1: coin into one of the cars and it didn't work. Better to use the token on a supervised ride. Next time I'll stay for more than a coffee and ice cream.

This for years has been an awesome place very much evolving over the years a lovely place to take children. Cafe reasonably priced but sadly rides can be quite expensive. What used to be free is now charged for in way of tokens

Kids really enjoyed there day out here. More for small children £10 for unlimited rides excepts trampolines. Clean toilets onsite. Cute cafe that serves chips in sandcastle buckets and spade. Brilliant! Loved it
