Flea & Street Markets
The Ayvalık Bit Pazarı is an incredibly scenic and charming market, boasting a wide variety of goods to fulfill any shopper's needs. It offers a pleasant and enjoyable experience for all visitors. This enchanting location serves as the perfect destination for individuals seeking to purchase unique and vintage items. The market presents an array of beautiful products that one can explore, making it a delightful place to shop.
Really picturesque market. You can find everything you need here. Nice experience.
Jomin N — Google review
The bit pazar, or flea market, in Ayvalık offers a unique and charming experience despite its relatively small size. Nestled within a few narrow streets and extending into indoor areas, it provides an eclectic mix of antiques and collectibles that intrigue both casual visitors and avid collectors. The market is also home to several delightful cafés, where patrons can enjoy a cup of coffee surrounded by vintage decor and historical artifacts. While it may not be as expansive as other markets, its intimate atmosphere and the treasure trove of curiosities make it a worthwhile destination for those looking to explore a different side of Turkish culture.
Melinda E — Google review
I would not recommend the Ayvalik market to tourists. Most positive reviews are from locals I imagine. It's an extremely large and busy local flea market, selling fruit and vegetables, other food stuff, as well as cheap and inferior Chinese imports. The photos are picturesque but the experience was claustrophobic, and for the most part I was trapped in the crowds. Avoid, unless you want to be surrounded by local housewives shopping for their groceries and chinese product (which you can get in your own country). The products were not aimed at tourists. It was difficult to find people who understood English (that does not influence my experience)

Toys&Us is a remarkable shopping mall considering its compact size. The establishment offers an impressive variety of merchandise, making it a noteworthy destination for shoppers. Despite its limited physical space, the mall manages to accommodate an extensive range of products, catering to various interests and preferences. This compact yet diverse collection results in an enriching shopping experience for visitors seeking toys and other related items. Overall, Toys&Us proves that greatness can be achieved irrespective of size when it comes to providing a satisfying shopping experience.

One of the best roadside restaurant in Turkey. It is a "must see and eat in there place"... The ingredients are so fresh and tasty so the food combinations are so delicious. You can see the photographs i have taken from the place. The prices are moderate and the service is terrific. I have tried to find a criticism but unfortunately i can not succeed. :) So go and grab this taste on the way to Izmir or Ayvalik. PS you have to go there between 1100-1500.
Murat S — Google review
From the moment you enter the door, you are greeted politely and with a smile. When you want to choose your food, the staff is classy, patient and considerate of your preferences. The food is to die for. I ordered quite a bit and not a single thing was just ok, everything was excellent. Don’t miss this place.

Benjamin K — Google review
Nestled in Ayvalık, Türkiye, this olive oil manufacturer is a must-visit. It beautifully combines history, shopping, and eating, offering a unique experience. The museum showcases the rich history of olive oil production, providing fascinating insights into traditional methods. The shop offers some of the best olive oil and most delicious olives you'll ever taste, making it a haven for food enthusiasts. The restaurant serves exquisite dishes/snacks, highlighting the superior quality of their olive products. With its perfect blend of education, quality, and culinary delight, this museum is an essential stop for anyone visiting Ayvalık. Highly recommended!

Ziyad T — Google review
This place is owned by Kürşat olive products firm, one of the best names in the trade. It is a boutique olive and olive oil store with a home cooking restaurant located on the premises of a gas station. Food is very good and modestly priced. Olive oils are among the top quality but very expensive.
Halil O — Google review
Very cultivated place. It is certainly not a roadside restaurant but located next to olive pressing plant of Kursat family; owned and operated by them. Food is exceptional a la Ayna at Cunda. It is well worth to go out of your way to spend a little time.
HAKAN O — Google review
The place is owned by the Kürsat oil producers, a top quality products family business! We discovered Kürsat oil & olives 5 years ago and since we are only using it. We visited Zeytin Evi on our way to holiday and they have great quality fresh food and also olive products store. Thank you!

Shopping mall
Kırlangıç AVM is a charming open-air shopping center located by the sea in Ayvalik. It boasts a creative design and offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and activities for visitors to enjoy. The layout resembles that of outlet villages, with an array of dining options including Burger King, Tavuk Dunyasi, Popeyes, and Starbucks. Additionally, there are stores such as Hasan Usta for sweets and various clothing shops.
Nice outdoor shopping center with a similar setup to outlet villages. Restaurants, cafes, convenient stores, clothing shops, toy shop by the water. It is setup on grounds of an old olive oil factory. Since it is by the sea you can have evening walks with a rest at a cafe.
Cem E — Google review
Excellent shopping center in Ayvalık that really needed such place. The place is all outdoor shopping with many nice businesses and restaurants. The fact that it's by the sea side makes it very nice place to spend time especially during sunset. There is plenty of parking although during holidays you might have difficulty finding a spot. İn the evening people come here and have a picnic on the lawn while watching the sunset. You have many choices as far as food from fast food, pizza, to meat restaurants like Bursa Kebab Evi. İt is situated between Ayvalık an Cunda so it is convenient for transportation.

Gömeç Pazarı, also known as Gömeç Market, is a vibrant local market where friendly and honest vendors sell their own produce. (Translated by Google) The variety of fruits and vegetables is wonderful, but sometimes they're more expensive than in Istanbul during the summer months. I think the vendors collude among themselves to sell all goods at the same price. I suspect there's a sense of exploitation, or rather, exploitation, of the summer vacationers who come here, considering that the majority of them are from Istanbul. Unfortunately, in some areas, the perspective on Istanbul residents can be exploitative. However, Istanbul is the city where making ends meet is the most challenging, where prices are highest, and rents are the highest. Life here is much faster and more tiring than in many other cities. Just getting home from work can take over two hours. Istanbul's contribution to the Turkish economy shouldn't be overlooked, and it would be great if opportunistic treatment was given to those who work at a fast pace, almost running on the subway, and trying to get somewhere. Unfortunately, I've seen this opportunism in many places.

We made a purchase worth 1500 TL and bought so many liters of oil and cheese. There was no smiling face or interest. My bent over 75-year-old mother asked for help to carry the oil to the car to the parking lot 50 meters away. The female staff at the cash desk looked sullen and said they were short staffed. However, no one came or left at lunch time, it was a 10 m2 shop, 3 male staff were sitting at the door, they didn't even help. I will never shop again. They must first learn to be tradesmen. Just ahead, Meatball Shop Esat offered us water for our 2 meatball purchases and carried our supplies to the car. They sent us off with a smile. This is tradesmanship, this is customer satisfaction. (Translated by Google) It is not very crowded, account control is done. Karaağaç market is so expensive compared to other markets that it is unbelievable when you see the prices. Just as other bargainers think of selling vegetables and fruits at lower prices, the sellers who come to the Karaağaç market should be able to sell them at lower prices, and we expect and demand that fruits and vegetables be sold to the local people at more affordable prices. (Original) Çok kalabalık değil, hes kontrolü yapılıyor. Karaağaç pazarı diğer pazarlara göre o kadar pahallı ki, fiyatları görünce inanası gelmiyor. The Best in Town Ozgun is a local olive conpany of Balikesir, Edremit provinince. They produce nearly everything bout olives; oils, soaps, shampoos, cremes and tons of other stuff. The main business is making olives and olive oils and they are very good at it. Varieties are countless; green, black, almond fulfilled. Oils are in great taste, produced under strict conditions. Organics and cold pressed are another options too which makes a huge eifference with the other bands. And hey, the owner of the branch is a great old man, loves the kids a lot. It is a great oppurtunity to make your kids love olives and olive oils :) Better make a visit there asap!
