Really great drinks. I had the dirty chai and it was one of the best I’ve had. Super flavorful and sweet. The shop itself is cute and has a fun vibe, though it definitely leans touristy. Prices are on the higher side and the staff wasn’t the friendliest, which took away from the overall experience a bit. Still, if you're in the area and don’t mind spending a little more, it’s worth stopping by for a quality drink.

I got a belgian style hot chocolate, and it was delicious. I also tried a box of chocolates and they were super good too. 10/10 for chocolate lovers or hot cocoa lovers!

This place does such unusual drinks- I had the Mexican hot chocolate- cant recommend enough. I dont even like cinnamon and I enjoyed it. My sister had the double fudge ‘wow’ shake, which we also enjoyed. Marion, who served us, was absolutely lovely as well! My only critique is that it is very expensive here- 20 dollars for two drinks is alot but it is in a very touristy location, you have a great view, and the drinks are delicious, so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Espresso whipped cream espresso? Made my mind melt after warping my understanding of espresso. Mouth watering especially with the toffee spin. Cheers #goanyway

Such a cute coffee/ candy place. We stopped here to grab a scoop of ice cream and it was delicious! We got a double scoop of the mocha almond fudge and the butter pecan. Needless to say to say it was definitely worth stopping by!

AMAZING chocolates!!! Dark chocolate Marzipan Mice & dark chocolate Pecan Caramels both had a great balance of flavors and weren’t overly sweet. Perfect treats! Many other options available with dark & milk chocolate.

I had a scrap cookie and several different kinds of truffles. My wife got a blueberry lemon yogurt muffin and caramel apple crumb cake. It was all really good.😋

It's been a good bit since I've been into a toy store. I absolutely loved O'Toys toy selections. The toys of old gave me feelings of nostalgia and the newer toys piqued my interest and curiosity. They also have some novelty gifts that made us chuckle and grin. We picked some of the novelty items up for our friends and family, they got a kick out of them too. Very friendly and helpful people working the counter and floor too. Thanks for a fun time.

Most items seemed to be extremely overpriced. Like a basic Franklin football that you can buy from Walmart for $5-10 was priced at $24.99. A yo-yo was $20. Aside from that, it was a nice shop with a good selection and a friendly, helpful employee.

Cute store and a great addition retail variety in town. Despite looking like it could be a big chain business (and I mean that in a good way), the store is owned by locals, who put a lot of care and thought into restoring this space and setting it up. It is clean and well spaced out and they have several stations set up to lay with select toys. The prices are not super high, which was surprising for a small town, local store. The staff was knowledgeable and kind. There are even comfortable parent seats up front to wait on the kiddos. There’s a section in the back for smaller kids. Has everything from board games, Lego, puzzles, building toys, silly toys, puppets, etc. lots of named brand, nicer merchandise.

It is truly incredible that this amazing independent/locally owned Toy Store exists in the small town of Ouray CO. The selection is huge, and the friendly service can't be beat! You'll find high quality toys for any age group, and you can sit and play numerous games in the store if you desire as well! Every time I go in there are so many new items, and I buy birthday and holiday gifts here always. My only complaint is that I have to literally pry my kids out of the store when it is time to leave :) I would give the store 10 stars if I could!

O'Toys is THE BEST toy store ever ! We have been so happy with the new selection of toys since the new owners have taken over! Every time we go in there, there are even more new and fun things to buy and play with! My son loves all of the interactive fun inside the store, and both kids surely will be spending all their hard earned money there!

Draconian signs about pets being unwelcome. It was below 20 degrees out! I was going to spend a ton of money buying late Christmas presents for family but had my leashed and well behaved dog and couldn’t leave him outside. Now I would never shop here. I understand about requiring leashes and good behavior, but a blanket no dog policy on very cold or hot days is very cruel. Also- their sales loss. I had to buy online instead.

This is the best kitchen, culinary store ever! Products are tested by Khris and he is a professional chef what happens to live in Ouray and run and own this store. It is magical to anyone who loves cooking and culinary arts. The sauces and chocolate and tea selection is tops. There is a whole gift area, tea towls, aprons, gadgets, coffee products, dog products and so much more! It is a must to stop in and take a look and have fun shopping!

This is a wonderful kitchen and gift store. As an avid cook, I always visit this store when driving to Ouray. And, always leave with great new gadgets, food items, exceptional cards and gifts. Living in Durango, I wish there was a Kristopher’s in our town!

We are from Indiana and since our visit, I have been in several gift shops and this is my favorite. Everyone was kind and helpful. The local made jewelry is super cool. Lots of unique and must haves. Don't pass this one up.

Very cute store with unique gifts for everyone. The owner has a flair for design and fashion. I thoroughly enjoyed my time walking through the store and browsing through all of the fantastic gifts/products that were for sale. What is even better is that Michelle, the owner, has another store called Bloom right next to the Blue Pear with an inventory just as amazing as The Blue Pear. They are definitely two of my most favorite stores in Ouray.

I visit Silver Lynx every time I’m in Ouray. It’s always fun to browse and see what’s new. Mary and Scott are pleasant, friendly and helpful. Mary is now creating and selling some of her own authentic jewelry. I bought a hoodie with one of Scott’s original Colorado designs on it and I’ve had people ask me where I got it from. 😉 It’s hard to not buy something -the prices are decent and there’s some really cool stuff here. I LOVE this store! ❤️

This is a lovely shop with a great selection of gift options. They carry many quality items made in the USA including jewelry artists from Colorado and beyond. Both owners are artists; one designs and makes some of the beautiful jewelry while the other creates the whimsical animal designs for their t-shirts, magnets, stickers, and patches. When in Ouray, stop in this cute downtown shop.

Super cute store with lots of unique items. They have clothing, jewelry, soap, photos, etc. There’s a lot of locally made items. Everyone we interacted with was lovely, helpful, and available but not pushy, which I appreciate.

Silver Lynx was a great stop to do some Chrismas shopping. They have a nice mix from stocking stuffers to bona-fide gifts. The staff is also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.

Silver Lynx is always a "go to" shop when we're in Ouray. Scott and Mary have creative and well priced items that are thoughtfully displayed. Very welcoming shop in a great location.

This store was nice but not amazing. They had nice shirts and other items to check out. There just wasn't anything that jumped out to me personally, but I enjoyed walking around and checking out what was available. The person behind the counter was nice and friendly when I walked in. It's worth a walk in to check out.

Spent $80+ at the sister shop, The Blue Pear where the sales associate was incredibly helpful and friendly. Then went over to Bloom and was about to spend more until the owner walked in, abruptly and rudely proclaiming that the book I was (gently) looking through was $75. A simple ‘Hello, welcome to the shop’ would have sufficed rather than implying that your customers look too trashy to handle your merchandise. Would suggest taking some lessons in people skills from your partner at Blue Pear. Big mistake, won’t be back.

My family and I have been doing a large amount of our Christmas, anniversary, and birthday shopping here for years… we never walk out empty handed! I absolutely love this place. There are always new products when I come in, and the employees are super friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend stopping in here!

Bloom is one of my go-to gift stores in Ouray. It's a treat to look at the really creative displays of items I've never seen anywhere else. Shopping here is an experience unto itself, and I always find something for the hard-to-shop for people on my list.

I found the store interesting but didn't find anything of interest to me. It's not my kind of store but could be for someone else. The entrance is very confusing from the store next door. I had to ask in the other store if this store was different. It's worth looking through if you have the time.

During my summer vacation in Colorado, I decided that I wanted a truly authentic cowboy hat and decided to pop into this store. Best decision I made in Ouray. I looked around a bit, got some help from the friendly and helpful staff, and walked out with a cowboy hat. I’m going to make sure when I’m in Ouray again to go back here and maybe walk away with another.

Very cute shop in Ouray! I was in town to visit and loved the inventory. So many cute hats, flannels, bags etc. I would recommend you take a look when you go to downtown to shop!

This store was a pleasant surprise when I was walking around town. They have so many "Life is Good" items and at not so bad prices with some of them on sale! There were so many hats that were just awesome to look at and try on. I really wanted to walk away with a couple of shirts and a hat or two! This is such a fun store to check out!

This is place has my favorite burger by far in the country. A goat cheese "cheese curd" topped burger. Not to mention the good home brewed beer, 3 stories of seating, and breathtaking views. Surrounded by so much history and adventurous activities, and amongst a handful of gift and oddities shops, you will have a great time here.

Stopped here on the way up to the Million Dollar Highway and couldn’t have picked a better lunch spot! Be sure to head upstairs to the rooftop patio — it’s the perfect place to take in the views of Ouray’s main street and the stunning mountain waterfalls. We enjoyed a delicious burger and fries, but the menu has plenty of other local favorites to try. If you’re visiting beautiful Ouray, definitely stop by and support this great local business. Can’t wait to come back!

Fun, best hot wings we've had on this trip so far !@ Michelle was a great waitress. Not sure if there is/was a weight limit on bar swings so we kept all our clothes on and opted for a booth.

For the dry rub wings alone - five stars and would come back again for just that. I LOVE spicy food and typically don’t find wings with enough heat even when they label it as spicy. I ordered and was skeptical. But this dry rub is laced with ghost pepper and brought the heat while also being SO deliciously flavorful!! Ate them all, seriously considered ordering more immediately but held off. They should bottle that dry rub and sell it! I would happily buy it! The beer and elote dip were also delicious too.

My wife and I had the burger,my son got the green chili burger and his wife got the Thai salad. It was all really good. The view from the deck is beautiful.

For a rooftop brewery this spot was one of the best in Ouray Colorado. I had the smoked salmon BLT sandwich and fries. It was very well put together. My wife had the Thai salad that was artisan and very good. The they were both $17.00 I found the found the price to be exceptable for a turist location. For 3 adults and one child our bill was $87.48 with tax.

I got the fig jam burger which was their monthly burger and my girl got the Lone star burger and the food was killer. Fries were super crunchy just how we all like em' and I got the Honey Crisp cider and it was a phenomenal compliment to the flavor profile of their burger of the month. I'll be back next time I'm in town (:

Lit! We came here after our road trip and it was a perfect way to end it. We had the roasted peppers, shrimp and sweet corn fritters, and rabbit pasta. Everything was delicious ! Can’t wait to be back

We came in on a Monday night and it seemed fairly busy but they got us a table right away. The food was great! The short rib was melt in your mouth and the chicken dish was equally delicious. All the staff we interacted with were also great! Would highly recommend.

Amazing! Got a reservation two days ahead for Saturday. Everything was delicious. Rabbit pasta was a standout— tasted like fall. They were amazing about accommodating my daughter’s food allergies.

Great atmosphere, service & food!!! Enjoyed a unique feature salad with charred cabbage & Caesar dressing. For entrees we ordered the Elk Bolognese & Skuna Bay Salmon. All ingredients tasted fresh, dishes were well-seasoned and excellently prepared. We plan to eat here again on a future trip to this area. Recommend making a reservation to ensure a table is available.

Excellent. I had a very hard time deciding what to get, all of the menu items sounded amazing. The boneless short rib and the miso glazed butterfish (black cod) did not disappoint. The pork belly skewers were also incredible. Very well composed flavors and textural elements on every dish. I would highly recommend dining here if you have the opportunity.

Every time we go to Ouray, we make sure we go to Brickhouse! I had braised rabbit and it was amazing! For dessert, sweet basil creme brulee. Absolutely delicious!! Perfect night!

Excellent meal at Brickhouse 737! We started with the shrimp and corn fritters served with aoili; crispy and flavorful bites dusted with powdered sugar. For mains, I had the “natural chicken” with grilled asparagus and Parmesan polenta; husband had the short ribs, also with the polenta and grilled asparagus (carrots included with the short ribs). Both were delicious! The chicken was moist and tender, which is so rare with white meat cuts. Ambiance was nice, too, at least on the second floor. While the first floor was a bit noisy, the second floor had a totally different vibe: more upscale, with fewer tables, interesting decor and sort of a jazz/new age music playing. Definite recommend!

It was absolutely amazing! Curt is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also hilarious. He shares history in such a captivating, storytelling way that keeps you fully engaged from start to finish. If you’re visiting Ouray and looking for something unique and memorable, this tour is an absolute must. Don’t miss it!

A Fascinating and Memorable Experience at the Ouray Alchemist Museum We had the incredible opportunity to take a private tour of the Ouray Alchemist Museum with the owner and collector, and it was an experience we’ll never forget. As a nurse and homeschooling family, we’re always on the lookout for educational experiences that bring history to life, and this visit exceeded all our expectations. The museum’s collection is absolutely stunning, showcasing centuries of fascinating history related to medicine and pharmacy. Every single item we pointed out came with a rich and engaging story, told with so much passion and knowledge by the owner. His ability to connect each artifact to its historical context was incredible, and it made the experience both educational and entertaining. What made the visit even more special was the kindness and attention shown to my daughter, who is autistic. He made her feel welcome and included, which meant the world to us. His warmth and enthusiasm did not go unnoticed. We were amazed by the depth and variety of the collection and found ourselves wishing we could have spent more hours there, soaking in all the history and stories. Visiting the museum was the perfect way to start a beautiful snowy morning in the charming town of Ouray, Colorado. If you have the chance to visit, I highly recommend booking a private tour it’s worth every penny. This museum is truly a hidden gem and a must see for anyone who loves history, storytelling, or unique collections.

We toured the museum in the off-season in november, so we had a private tour. I booked ahead of time via email, which is recommended (either email or phone). Curt explained that he is a retired pharmacist who started collecting privately and eventually turned it into a full-blown museum of alchemy. Curt has a passion for life and loves what he does! He is a wealth of knowledge and loves sharing through stories, pictures, and artifacts. The tour is 2-3 hours long, so be sure to wear comfy shoes and allot extra time, but know that you will be entertained the entire time! Curts brilliant mind houses a lifetime of engaging facts to share about the fascinating history of alchemy...our minds were blown!

This museum is a real gem. I gained such a knowledge of the history of pharmaceutical drugs through the ages, the architecture and interior design, collections of everything pharm was amazing. The owner, a pharmacist, was so knowledgeable and entertaining. This is a must see place in Ouray. It’s best to call the number listed to make a reservation. The tour is 2 hours.

Once-in-a-lifetime experience! A beautiful cabinet of curiosities. Curt is the tour guide, expert, and collector. He shared his personal collection of wonderful, odd, unusual, fascinating medical history with humor and heart. Poison bottles, gaper signs, mummy remedies, and stories you won’t forget. Curious minds and history nerds - don’t miss it! Just email ahead of time to book a tour (otherwise not open besides by appointment) - super easy.

Curt is amazingly knowledgeable and gives you quite the tour of the history of alchemy, pharmacy, and medical practices. The only reason I took off a star is that we expected an hour long tour and were there for more than two hours. So make sure to plan your time accordingly, as we had to cut short other stops as a result. But if you have any interest in the topics listed above, call to confirm the tour is happening and spend some time with Curt. He says he’ll be there until he’s 103 1/2 so you’ve got some time 😁

I had been wanting to check this place out for a while and was finally able to when my brother came to visit. I highly recommend scheduling your tour ahead of time with Curt. He is very quick to respond. It's a one man show and did take a bit of time to get the full tour, but it was very worth the trip. Curt is quite the character, and has plenty of stories, history, humour and passion for his museum. There are so very many artifacts and displays. We were there several hours, and I'm positive we didn't see everything. So make sure you stop in to check it out if you get the chance and experience this impressive, one-of-a-kind collection yourself. You will definitely learn something new and have a great time.

Nice selection of gear for lots of adventures. Swim suits are extremely expensive. Can rent cross country ski sets for $25 each. Open 9-6 for the rentals. Very nice staff. Great outdoor brands.

The support team here were amazing. Last year they helped me through my pole tips snapping with a quick repair and this year my poles were completely seized in the collapsed position. They spend hours on them today getting one to free up…the second just wouldn’t go but they never charged me and I am extremely grateful. Huge thank you and if you need anything worked on or any supplies…you want to go here!

Brooke provided a stellar experience renting equipment for the Via Ferrata. Was quick and easy to get the gear we needed as most of the group had everything except the leashes. Will be coming back in the future and highly recommend.

Adorable bookshop with lovely owners. Stopped in for some postcards (great selection btw) and left with a fantastic book recommended by the owner. Book was "Tomboy Bride: A Woman's Personal Account of Life in Mining Camps of the West" for anyone interested in historical life and times of the area.

This book store is phenomenal! The selection of books is wonderful, they have so many fun stickers and goodies, and the atmosphere is lovely. We spent an afternoon just reading in the store because we loved it so much. Pat, the owner, is also one of the kindest and loveliest humans I've met. I visited four times over our week in Ouray because it quickly became one of my favorite places. Definitely do not skip visiting the store or supporting them online!

Beautiful and cozy bookstore. So many genres to explore with couches to relax in. The array of stickers had me acting like a kid in a candy store lol. The lady that helped us was so sweet and gave us her opinion on what books to buy (lifesaver honestly). Hope to come back!

Rarely do you find a business owner who is manning their store and has such great people skills. Been engaged both my son and I in conversation. We bought a puzzle and came back the next day for a book! Great book shop!

I don't normally write reviews of book shops, but this one deserves it. The elderly gentleman I spoke with really made my whole vacation. We had both read so many of the same books, and he made wonderful conversation and recommendations. I will be back to stay hello!

Of all people this place accused my wife of stealing 6 pairs of $25 earrings. There is not a more honest person on this earth. Let alone we could probably just buy the store if we wanted too. What a way to treat customers in business. Let alone I believe it is because our daughter “Who is Black” was with my wife. They were labeled from the instant they entered the store. Never will be back and don’t recommend this place to anyone!!!

STAY AWAY!!!! Review the reviews- our experience isn't the only one!!! I'm officially never supporting this company. I live here and take all of my visitors (family and friends) to the gator emporium. The lady working *PAT* accused of us stealing. My sweet mother and I were picking out earrings, and she kept reminding us that she hadn't sold any all day and that she was missing six pairs. Then she reminded us that people are looking at the camera. When we tried to check out, she said Just so you know, we are missing six pairs I finally said Excuse me, are you accusing us of stealing? She said I'm just stating the facts. We said we are uncomfortable and not interested in spending this money if you think we stole from you. She made us feel very uncomfortable and sick to our stomachs. We left without purchasing anything. My mom was heartbroken, and after that, being the first store we went to, we walked around and tried to keep shopping, but she felt really uncomfortable. Totally ruined our whole day in Ouray. She was just visiting my home and was treated this way. I went back and purchased the earnings she really wanted and let PAT know she ruined our day. Pat responded that she's sorry but they are still looking at the footage. I told her you'll be sorry when you find out we didn't take them. Ughhhhh. TRY BETTER PAT

Gator Emporium has a nice selection of beads, prescious stones, jewelry, carvings masks and statues, and much more. Really cool stuff, something for everyone. Staff was friendly and store was clean.

I’ve never written a review like this before, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I was recently accused of stealing at this store—something I would never do. The way I was approached and treated left me shocked, humiliated, and deeply hurt. Being unfairly judged like that—without cause, without evidence—was not only embarrassing, it was dehumanizing. I left feeling shaken, disrespected, and incredibly disappointed. No one deserves to be treated like a criminal simply for walking through the door. We all deserve to be treated with dignity and fairness, and I hope this store takes a serious look at how it approaches situations like this in the future. The emotional impact is real, and it doesn’t just go away when you walk out the door.

Bad vibes. Not dog friendly - which is fine - but post a sign on the door, don’t bite my head off when I’m in the entry way. Workers were moving boxes, also fine, but they never said excuse me to my family that was standing “in their way”. No one greeted us or said anything other than about the dog. I hate to break it to the owners/staff but poor customer service is a killer to small businesses.

They have cute stuff! I was super excited for the two hats I got there. However, I was extremely overcharged and did not get an itemized receipt. By the time I realized I was overcharged it was too late to go back and say something. Also, The tag on my hat was cut so that you could no longer see the price. I was charged over $250 for two hats. I got a hat that was $125 and one for $49 and then a hat band that was $15 and two loose feathers. Ultimately I feel as though this was intentional seeing that my tag price was cut off and I was not given a legitimate receipt.

Really cute stuff! It’s a bit packed but that fine. The older guy working the counter was awful! I asked him if he worked there, answered “well that depends “, rude! Then I needed to checkout and had to wait for him to finish his smoke. I asked if he was the owner, he answered with, “lady I do this every day”. Seriously, I’d fire this guy! Every, and I mean every shop or local that we had any interaction with in Ouray was so friendly and helpful! This man however was the complete opposite!! He does not represent your store well at all.

Where to start! The inventory is really great and the store is quite packed to the gills! It's almost like a hoarder decided to open a boutique! It is NOT somewhere you bring children, strollers, wheelchairs, crutches, or walkers or even if you're a bigger person because it is labyrinthine and has a lot of areas where you have to squeeze between things to move by! The elderly woman at the register is quirky and adorable! And that's the reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1! The woman who owns the store was working on a table and my husband had to move past her as we could not walk past due to aisle restrictions. She bent over the table and kind of fell into it after he went past and knocked over several items and I noticed she was kind of shaky almost as if impaired. I asked my husband "what happened?" And she turned to me, pointed at my husband and said "that man over there knocked into the table and made all this stuff fall over!" And my husband and I just locked eyes and he said "what the hell?!" And she went to picking up and I skirted by her and we continued on into the store. When we were done we headed to the register with a couple trinkets. A man in front of us had his kids bring up 2 trinkets and his wife had a little pair of knit gloves that were maybe $20 but his total was $130+ so he asked why they cost so much and the owner explained as follows: "Whenever we get any LV merchandise that is defective, we cut it up and sew it into other clothing items and then they become LV and that's why the price is what it is! You're paying for LV!" So they are committing fraud and copyright infringement! Then it was our turn at the register and two of my items (socks) did not have price tags and the owner looked right at me and asked if I peeled the tags off my purchase! To which I replied "no ma'am". And she said "are you sure? Don't worry about it. I will go find out how much they are!" So I left the store while my husband finished because I was about to say some things I could not take back and then I realized the best venue is this one! So enjoy the art, watch out for anything marked LV and if the owner is rude, you've been forewarned!

We were shopping in Ouray at Rockin P Ranch earlier today (September 5, 2025) and the woman was showing me different items to take to the family. One item which she put to the side and commented; “You can’t afford this”. I asked “How do you know what we can afford?”. She started stuttering. Big mistake!!! She lost a sale!!!

My wife & I have vacationed in the San Juans for 7 straight years and RPR is her favorite shop stop. The merchandise is nothing like you'll find elsewhere, hence the price. The owners are straight forward honest people and fun to cut up with. They are real people who love people. With today's marshmallow culture I get some of the negative reviews but these are business women people, not therapist. I believe most get that and that is why they always go back.

My wife could have spent HOURS in here. To be honest, prices were a bit high but, the quality is super good and the options are plentiful.

Small, but nice selection. More liquor & wine than beer, but we had no problem finding a selection of craft beers to bring home. I was also hoping there would be snacks, because the grocery store closes so early, but there were only a couple bags of dots pretzels and candy.

I can't believe they recommended this wine. I kept smelling it before drinking it. My wife asked why. I replied, I should be holding my nose. Nice people, but don't recommend a wine just because it's from CO. Scared to try the other two CO bottles.

I expected high prices, but was pleasantly surprised. The selection is pretty great too. I hadn't seen Einstok since we were in Reykjavik, so that was cool. They also had 4 packs of Maudite and Fin du Monde, both good strong beers.

Great local liquor store. Associates were educated on all types of alcohol in the store. I was going on a 7 mile hike and they pointed out their favorite canned wines so I wouldnt have the weight of a bottle. Pointed me towards "local family favorite" beers and standard Staples of alcohol. Truly a must stop for all your liquor needs when your in Ouray!

Awesome little liquor store. They have a little bit of everything. Surprisingly, they have a lot of local and craft beers as well. They even sell tobacco products. Super welcoming staff. Definitely stop by and grab some beer/liquor/wine/tobacco.

I bought a sweatshirt for my daughter and then 15 min later she found a different one that fit better. I went back to return it and they wouldn’t let me. I’m pissed and I bought 4 others from them. They still made bank off me.

A staff member was very rude in telling our group of 40+ year old adults that ice cream was not allowed in the store, she spoke to us like scorning a children. There is a nice way to ask and she chose the wrong path. We went down the street and bought 10 shirts. Her attitude resulted in a loss of business.

Pricing is expensive but that’s a given for a tourist town like this. They had a really good selection of items, huge variety, and something for everyone.

Purchased a shirt for my kiddo and realized it was way too big. All their kids shirts said “large” but actual sizes are all over the place. Went in five minutes later and asked whether I could exchange it. Was told “he’ll grow into it, plus, all sales are final.” I get out that’s the policy, but come on.

I had a wonderful experience in all the shops I visited in Ouray CO., until I went to Mountain Fever Shirts & Gifts. There was an older lady in the Store that greeted, and offered to help EVERYONE except minorities. I observed her to validate my perception. Her actions were real. My money stayed in my pocket. I went back to the many shops that were worthy of it.

Loved this Rock shop. It was full of treasures and the prices were great. I frequent many rock shops and this one stands out. The owner was very knowledgeable and answered many questions. The shop was started by his father and he now runs it. I bought way more than I should have because of the great prices.

The lady that works there is so sweet and kind!!! I am just visiting Colorado, but this place has everything I need, I got a couple of earrings from here and a couple of pendants and they are so beautiful. The price range can differ from 15 to over 100 and up, they have affordable things as well and expensive stuff if that’s what you like😊❤️

Ouray Hardware is awesome!! We are fortunate to have them in town. The employees and owners are so knowledgeable about their stock. And, they can give DIY tips too! I have never visited and not leaving with that one item I needed to finish our project. And...who doesn't like a great hardware store?

Great store. Prices are pretty comparable on most things. They carry everything from Ouray souvenirs to paint plumbing lawn are whatever your doing around the house. Also they carry a nice assortment of camping and outdoor gear.

This is a True Value Hardware store which has everything you need for a project from paint to tools to dog food and mulch. It has a lot of inventory and a great customer service as well. Nice to have in a small town.

Such beautiful items! I picked up a glass that I intend to use as a whiskey glass. It is absolutely gorgeous and I enjoy that it is absolutely one of a kind. In addition to having beautiful items for sale, the customer service is fantastic. Jack was gracious and entertained our questions about the town as well as the store. Annie, the owner, allowed us to watch her make various glass pieces for approximately 45 minutes while answering questions and chatting with us. I genuinely felt welcomed. They made me and my wife feel like we were a part of the town and not just some nosey tourists who stopped by. This is a must visit if you are in town.

We were only going in to see some pottery and glassware we liked from the window, but we happened to be there when Annie was blowing glass, so were invited back to watch. We learned so much from her, and it was a great surprise for my family to get to experience this. My child is still talking about how amazing it was (and loving her air plant of course)! Definitely visit when you’re in Ouray.

Annie is a dear wonderful artist who takes pride and care in both her glass and ceramic works. My cabinet is a delight with her glassware and it makes the everyday moments more special! Watching her work is mesmerizing and inspiring. She is definitely an artist worth chatting with and supporting!

We love this place. Have been in several times during our stay here. The shop is clean and crisp and nicely displays the wares. Some of the things are quite expensive, but they are mostly made on site and are each unique and beautiful. There are dishes, ornaments, soap holders, and lots of pottery. The glass blower, Annie, let’s you go up through the back of the shops to the “backyard” where her glass blowing workshop is. She explains what she is doing and takes questions. There is also a small display of Ouray Mountain Rescue merchandise that goes to supporting that organization.

If you catch yourself in Ouray in the early part of the day be sure to stop by and watch a glassblowing demo in the hot shop. This woman has skills! We stop in every time we visit town. It’s so much fun!

My wife and I visited Ouray to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. I was so glad to find this shop and we picked up a small pottery bluebird that I will be able to keep in my studio as a memento of our time in Ouray. Highly recommended shop and artist!!

This cute shop has the perfect souvenir at the right price! There is a pair of socks for every occasion or profession and they doesn't take up much room in a suit case. There are even some for BOGO free. I did a lot of my shopping in this one store. Be sure to check if there are open before making a special trip to shop. Owners in this town seem to keep their own hours.

Nestled in the western slopes of Colorado is "America's 🇺🇸 🇨🇭 Switzerland" better know as Ouray. In this quiet and quaint mountain ⛰️ mining town is the Outlaw Restaurant. Susana, was our waitress and she was AMAZING. The restaurant itself had a saloon like feel, and it was Colorado's version of Deadwood, SD. We were drawn in by the ivory tickling of the establishment's piano man. The food was 4.5/5 with the clam chowder lacking sufficient clams and it not being thick enough for an actual chowder - more like a soup. The FRESH BREAD was amazing 👏. For the price we paid they could have served the salad dressing in a ceramic container, instead of a plastic one. We ordered the Wagyau Ribeye. The mashed potatoes were on the thicker side, the vegetables were perfectly seasoned, and there was no bone in the 14 oz. steak, which means you got the full 14 oz.! They do charge a 3.5% credit card fee, but they did offer a 10% MILITARY 🪖 DISCOUNT. I am glad we went, but do what you need to do in Ouray first, because they roll the streets up early in this small town.

Atmosphere was super cool, the wooden shingles were fun to read. The place was popping. I got the ribeye and wish it had a little more flavor than what it did. Wife got the filet and ordered it medium but it was a little more medium well. Beautiful piano music though which was nice! And the fresh bread hit!

Salad 🥗 was tasty! Bread 🥖 was wonderful! Elk medallions were delicious! 😋 Cheesecake was delicious!🤤 Friendly staff! 😎

Came here due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews i’ve read online and was excited to eat here. However, we (party of 2) waited for a good 30-40 minutes standing without anywhere to sit down, and while we waited, people arrived and were seated before us. We continued to wait but I was ready to leave until the hostess finally got us a table. The atmosphere was really nice. The live piano gave this establishment a good feel to it as well. The service was good but the food was not up to expectations at all. I ordered the wagyu burger and my date ordered the filet mignon. The price was a tough pill to swallow, as was the burger. I only took 2-3 bites of my burger and wow it was so dry and not desirable at all. It looked good visually but I should have just stayed home if I knew I was gonna wait 30-40 minutes to take a bite out of this. The filet mignon was good at-least but well it’s 6 oz so we both left hungry. In the end, I spent over 100 dollars just to regret coming here in the first place. Hate leaving a bad review but dang, that burger ruined my appetite and night.

What a great little shop! Has some really good meats, salsa, sodas, chips, and dessert breads. We stayed nearby and stopped in, leaving with a ton of goodies! If you're in Ouray or passing through I definitely recommend stopping by and checking it out. Unique must see place in Ouray Colorado.

I was in my home town, like I do each summer, and this place was highly recommended. I decided to check it out and decided to purchase some Hatch Chile Bratwursten. Phenomenal. I’m hooked. I heated them in a covered cast- Iron skillet with a cup of beef broth and a splash of Madeira. Just tremendous.

The absolute worst cajun pickles I've every eaten in my entire life celery salt overload , and they were crazy expensive. The Ruben sausage i got to go with was ok . Definitely a tourist trap. I won't be going back.

We were in your amazing shop last week. I loved the look of it and the smells. Bought among other things a jar of pickled mushrooms to take back to Texas for my husband. They did not last long. Hope to visit again.

Simply amazing! We stocked up on some snacks and got two NY strips to cook at home. The woman working was super friendly and helpful. We also snagged the last two pulled pork sandwich lunch specials and they were delicious.

The sausages are some of the best quality that I've ever had. Don't forget to get your dog a smoked bone. Ours loved them so much, we had to double back for more the next day.

Super weird vibe. Someone crashed out on the couch and a bartender that couldn’t be bothered to come out from behind the bar. $15 per drink for the stuff distilled in-house. Plenty of potential here as the drinks are decent - and the other reviews are great, so I was surprised by our experience. It was clearly a long day of drinking for the patrons in the taproom prior to our arrival so we will maybe try again another time.

Was closed during operating according the their website. Arrived at 3:30 May 2, 2025 Cost me a 1/2 day travel for nothing.

Don’t believe the operating hours posted on the internet or described on their voice mail message. Apparently the hours are whenever they’re able to show up. Good work by bartender/hostess/owner making us feel welcome and working the customers solo. Distillery has only three products, so don’t expect much local variety. Recommended stop if you must have some local rye whiskey.

Would have liked to try this place, came Friday afternoon at 4pm. Online hours stated they were open, hours posted on door state they should be open, and their voicemail says the hours they are open. Neither the tasting room nor the rooftop bar were open when they claimed to be. If you cannot keep the hours you say then change them to reflect what you can so people don’t show up disappointed.

Absolutely AMAZING spirits - best Rye and best Vodka I have ever had. Very quaint place, too. The bartender is wonderful, with such dedication to her craft and so much openness and curiosity I stayed like 45 minutes even though I just stopped by to grab a bottle on the fly. Great experience!

So pleasant! Beautiful building and bar. Lots of naked wood (pine?) makes it smell like the woods. Very beautiful facility, wood wall opposite the gleaming distillery tanks. Small upstairs tasting room with great views was comfortable yet classy. Small drink menu showcasing their spirits. I got a ginger lime vodka martini, and a ginger beer and pear gin cocktail. The only reason I took away a star is because the recipes seemed a little off. Tasted like the recipes needed small tweaks. Great spot to start a date.

A lovely, rustic building with the distillery on the bottom, and tasting room upstairs. They featured 4 spirits on our trip, a bourbon, a rye, a gin and a vodka. All 4 liquors were tasty, but the rye really shined for me. A very pretty young lady behind the bar mixed us a couple excellent cocktails, including an old fashioned, and took excellent care of us. We left with a bottle of each.

Ray, your jerky is god-tier. The lady who runs the shop knows how to talk to people, knows how to be a great salesperson, and she knows how to let people enjoy the best jerky on their own pace. If you're tired of overpriced store jerky, try Rays. Worth every penny

This is one of the best jerky I’ve tried! Very good quality and flavor. My husband loves the jalapeño and my favorite is the teriyaki. The prime rib is also amazing! The caramel is buttery and soft. Must try when you’re in town.

As a beef jerky lover - this is some of the best I’ve ever had! So tender and flavorful. The Jalepeno flavor is my favorite & is the perfect level of spice. Must visit when in Ouray! I believe the woman that helped us was named Jen, she was so sweet and helpful!

Was passing thru and decided to give Ray’s a try as I needed some meat sticks for my first 14er. Definitely way better than all the store bought sticks I was buying my whole trip. Was a great treat after completing the best hike of my life!

The jerky is so yummy 🤤 it was such a friendly environment and we even got to try some samples of the different jerkies. The jalapeño one and the pepper were my fave. You gotta check it out!

Highway robbery on prices. No bathrooms for customers. Won't make change for small bills. Was told to go to Montrose for Neosporin, found it at a gas station on the way out of town. (Apparently Ridgeway doesn't even exist, as they definitely would have had it and is quite a bit closer than Montrose). It's like if you hit Albertsons in the head with a hammer, and then charged double Whole Foods' prices.

Didnt expect much in the small town of Ouray, CO. But the backstreet bistro was spot on. The food was fresh even the fruit was good, the coffee was regular or gourmet, and delicious. The staff was friendly and quick. Would recommend to anyone who visits Ouray, top notch.

Came here for breakfast after a long run. We had to stand outside for about 20 minutes. The food was worth the wait. We order the engineer pass omelet and chocolate chips short stack. Coffee was good tool. The place was really small. We order coffee to go in our own cups and it was pretty expensive.

This is a nice coffee and lunch place. The prices were reasonable and the sandwiches very tasty and satisfying. Staff was friendly and the establishment clean.

Absolutely fantastic food in a beautiful place, my sister and I shared a Caprice omelette and had plenty for both of us. The tomato and pesto especially tasted very fresh, and everyone in our party was happy with their meals. I highly recommend this to everyone going though Ouray!

We came to get ice cream and the owners were walking out. They closed at 4. They quickly offered to serve us. We felt bad since we knew they were done for the day, but they insisted and it was amazing!!!! Great couple, delicious unique ice cream flavors, homemade, large serving sizes.

Such a cute coffee shop. The latte was a 10 out of 10 and the staff working were so friendly. Be patient and you you will get the most delicious mini donuts.

Very on theme outdoorsy themed ice cream shop, lots of flavours to choose from. I absolutely loved the Cayenne Cinnamon Honey flavour and the Mint Chip was very subtle and wonderful. The cookies and cream and blackberry cheesecake and caramel were okay. The service was good but I felt a little uncomfortable when presenting my order, as if the person scooping could careless for my order. But other than that I would definitely come back again.

We bought a bag of the doughnuts here, and turned into animals. We could not stop eating them - they were made fresh in front of us, and were simply addictive. Just as important, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the shop's optimal location downtown makes it easy to access. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in or passing by Ouray. We have plans to go back early tomorrow morning before we leave the town...

We had a nice conversion about life and BS while my double latte (yes, four shots of espresso - it was perfect) was made and hung around for a couple more minutes because the folks were so nice. I can't wait to spend a week in Ouray.

Spent a week in town and visited 4 times so I guess we really enjoyed it! Came twice on hot afternoons for ice cream ( try the malt ball or brown butter cookie dough- trust me ) and twice in the mornings for great coffee and mini doughnuts. Highly recommend

We boarded our three dogs while we visited Ouray for the day and didnt worry while we were away from our furry kids. The owner is a true dog whisperer and handled our wary of strangers large dog perfectly. Our small doodles happily went with him back to the kennel and my wife and I were happily surprised when our large dog walked back with him like they were old friends. When we picked up our pack the owner let them out and the dogs danced around and played with us while we talked to the owner and it was clear to us that the dogs loved him and didnt see him as a threat. I HIGHLY recommend the Ouray Dog Company.

What a find. Colorado is so dog friendly, we can take them almost anywhere, including restaurants with outdoor seating. But during our vacation in the greater Ouray area, we needed one day for some activities that couldn't include the pups. We were so happy to find ODC. And even happier that the owners were so nice and accommodating.

We cannot say enough great things about this business! Speaking as someone who has always feared boarding their dog, we couldn’t have picked a better place for our pup. Our dog is a very attached, small 9 year old Morkie but she did great staying for the day as we enjoyed a day at the bike park. The owners were more than accommodating to not only our pup, but they also helped ease my mind of leaving her without any irritation. They were very eager and kind with each interaction with them. We ended up running a little behind to pick up our pup, but the owners were understanding and assured us that she was doing great. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs to board their pup for the day. Thank you Ouray Dog Company!

There are no words to express how great these people and this place is. Had them watch our dog while we were out exploring during our stay in Ouray. Kind, caring, just wonderful. Have thought about planning another trip back just so our pup could stay with them. Amazing experience.

I always do my research when is comes to kenneling my JRT’s. The reviews were spot on. The folks who run the place couldn’t be any nicer. I’m sure my girls were well taken care of while we explored Ouray. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring them back.

This isn’t a store it’s an experience. One of the best vinyl and flannels collections you’ll find in the four corner states. The owners truly don’t care about trying to sell you these treasures for top dollar, they just want you to enjoy the ride while you’re perusing through their collections and that’s exactly what we did. Next time I’m cracking a beer and spending a full afternoon here listening to their vinyl collection and sharing stories of old. Do yourself a favor and do the same!

Ron and Janie are the sweetest. When you walk into their shop, you truly take a step back in time. They have vinyl records for days, CD's, tapes, bottles, books, hats, you name it. My husband and I absolutely loved chatting with them both and scored a few amazing vinyl's. Highly recommend this place. Make the time to stop in. You will love it.

Cute little store, very friendly owners. We ended up getting an Alpaca scarf and it’s lasted quite some time. Definitely visit and chat with the owners, maybe get a Swiss trinket! (They restock their European chocolate in October)

I was in this shop with my 3 children and my friend and her two children. First of all, the woman working there encouraged my kids to play with the toys. There is hardly anything in this store. A few stuffed animals, some Swiss chocolate and two German clocks. My 10 year old daughter picked up some Swiss chocolate because she wanted me to buy it. It accidentally dropped on the floor. The packaging wasn’t damaged and we put it back in the bowl. We were looking around and the woman working there accused my daughter of openening the chocolate and eating it. She said you broke it you buy it. My daughter used her own money to pay for it. Once we got out of the store my daughter was in tears. I didn’t really realize what was happening in the store. My daughter told me and she said she didn’t even do it. My daughter would never open the chocolate and eat it. The package of chocolate we “bought” was opened and had a piece missing. It wasn’t even the same chocolate package my daughter picked up. I feel like this woman wanted my kids to touch the items in the store so she could accuse them of breaking it so we would have to pay for it. I ended up giving my daughter back the money for the chocolate. I wanted to go back and tell her off but my friend encouraged me not to for fear that she would then say”oh you were in here and now there’s something missing.” It was a very strange experience. I do not advise going in there.

Absolutely horrible service! The owner discriminates against those with disabilities. I require the use of a service dog due to fainting, she threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave her store. Absolutely shameful AND ILLEGAL!

The owners are very kind and generous Swiss natives that have been in Ouray for 26 years. They have well crafted gifts and sweet delicate treats that are perfect for the holidays. They have these amazing stuffed animals made of alpaca that were so popular they were barely on the shelves. Lots of great children’s gifts that ranged from beautiful puzzles to creative building blocks. Highly recommend visiting this store and see what they have in stock. They are very limited but the quality is second to none. They have import a lot of their products so really they always have something new. Thank you so much for your hospitality and charming store!

The couple are delightful and kind. The store offers quality wooden toys, beautiful Swiss-German ornaments, and a plethora of other high-end items. I bought two ornaments for friends and a wooden puzzle that features 6 scenes (one on each side of the blocks when assembled correctly). They gave me chocolates (wouldn’t let me pay for them) for myself and each of my family members! So kind. Go!

A very unique store with toys, german beer glasses and other European oddities. Definitely worth checking out! The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, while also explaining the history of items.

I purchased a soruka backpack from this location for nearly $180 a few weeks back. While I absolutely love the bag, the quality of the product is extremely poor especially for the price tag. The lining was already damaged and now has extreme fraying, unfortunately it will have to be replace at my expense. I did have a great experience within the shop just a disappointing purchase.

Really cool store and great owners. So we had an out of the ordinary experience here. we did spend about 30 minutes talking to the owner. During that time, apparently, our 6 yo son got sticky fingers and decided to pocket a few items. When we got back to the camper we found a new wallet and feather decoration that he had stolen. We called the store and the owner was very understanding. I paid for the items over the phone and the owner was very gracious and nice. Thank you for the understanding and we look forward to coming back later this year.

This store has really great merchandise. Great souvenirs as well as very modern jewelry that my wife loves. Both owners are awesome and Andy is a treat if you manage to meet him at a local restaurant or at the store. I did find Andy in the wild this trip (my second visit to Ouray) and I was so star struck that I couldn't think of what to talk to him about. I mostly just embarrassed myself and gladly took some fist bumps.

Looking for a souvenir unique to this area that doesn't cost an obscene amount of money? Check this place out! Staff are super friendly, and there are so many things to choose from, all reasonably priced. I was looking for something small to save a few bucks, but was able to buy one of the handmade metal art pieces as well as a magnet for only $30! So glad I stopped in, or I would've missed out.

My boyfriend and I love finding jerky places every time we travel! The last few places we stopped at didn't have anything other than beef as a selection ! Luckily this time at Ray's we were able to get Buffalo, elk and turkey all of which was absolutely amazing. I only wish there was more in the package, my only complaint . Conveniently located right in the middle of town so it was a perfect stop before heading over the mountain to Silverton.

We were traveling through Colorado on our trip last week. We are from MN and had looked everywhere while traveling for good jerky. We stopped into Ray's Good Stuff. The lady who was running the store was very nice and gave us free samples. We ended up buying more than $50.00 in jerky. Best jerky I've ever had! We will be ordering more on line in the future.

Strolled into Ray's good stuff today !! I was greeted by a wonderful Newfoundland hound named Cole.That was just the beginning of an epic journey through gastic heaven!! Ray's jerky is second to none, generous tasting samples insure you will leave with an amazing assortment of first class delights!! Thankfully they will mail order refills anywhere in the U.S.!!

There is no sales tax on beef jerky in Colorado, yet Ray's charges full sales tax - state and local. I enjoy their jerky and had ordered it several times before. But when I thought about ordering more, the tax issue just didn't sit right with me. I called a while back and spoke with Ray himself. I asked him why they were charging sales tax. I gave him some examples of competitors that weren't. I asked if the state was actually collecting the tax money from them. To my surprise, he responded by asking if I was with the state! He then said he would check with his accountant and get back to me, but I never heard from him again.

Ray’s is absolutely amazing! First of all, you’ve got to meet Ray! He’s so friendly, welcoming, and is always giving you free samples of jerky to try to figure out which one is going to be your favorite!

I seek out good jerky all over the U.S. We stopped into Ray's on a motorcycle trip not expecting much.... SHAZAM this dude has probably the best damn jerky I have ever had!!! You must stop if you are even relatively close. We'll certainly be ordering online when we run out.

Wow! I bought 3 kinds of Ray's Good Stuff, ... can't compare it to the regular superstore jerky. So much better! Must try it when in the region.

I visited this shop on 7/9/20. I bought 4 shirts. They ran my debit card twice assuring me the first transaction did not go through. It did. I was charged twice. There is no way to contact this store and so I opened a claim with my bank. It has been a nightmare trying to deal with this over charge. The people cashiers that day had no clue had to operate the credit card machine. I am beyond frustrated and left wondering why they do not have a working phone number.

Great selection of shirts. Try and get there before Fri/Sat because after that a lot of the popular sizes are sold out (M, L). I really wanted the Ouray, Switzerland of America shirt!!

We took pottery lessons from Jen during our vacation stay in Ouray. It was one of the highlights of our trip! We did a mother/daughter lesson and had a great time. Jen is an amazing instructor. She is patient, supportive, and encouraging throughout the process. We will totally do this again on our next trip. Highly recommend.

My husband and I came in initially to just look at the pottery (which was beautiful), but we ended up leaving as potters! We were staying in Telluride on vacation and Jen’s pottery lesson was definitely one of the highlights. She was so flexible and we got to do a same-day lesson. We had the best time and feel like we left with a new hobby to do together. Jen made it so much fun. She was kind, instructive, attentive, helpful and relaxed. We learned a ton and made lots of memories. This is a must-do if you’re in town!

I had such a wonderful experience at Mtn Dog Arts yesterday for their first knitting class! It was worth every minute of my hour & a half drive to get there. The owner was responsive and accommodating to work with in making my reservation, and the space was cozy, sweet, and charming - so full of character. The class was just over 3 hours long and was an incredible value, I thought. Supplies were included, and the teachers were warm, knowledgeable, and humble. Even a non-artist such as myself left feeling confident in continuing my knitting project at home. The teachers provided their personal contact info for future questions and were just a real delight to spend an afternoon with. Every aspect of my experience there felt comfortable and like community... I can't wait to go back for the next in the series of knitting classes!

Great fun place, owner is a veteran and supports vets. She had a free pour painting for vets on the 4th. Absolutely above and beyond.

I wandered in here on a whim and am glad I did. They have some great stuff for sale and I had a fantastic conversation with the owner, who is retired Army. Overall it is a great little shop and the owner is awesome! Next time we roll through Ouray I plan on signing up for one of their pottery classes.

Had a terrific time recently with two of my grandkids learning how to work with clay on the 3 wheels that Jen has in her studio. It is a friendly, affirming environment and Jen is a patient, knowledgeable teacher!

My daughter and I recently visited the store and had a delightful visit with Carolyn (spell). She was knowledgeable about the turquoise jewelry which we ended up purchasing and Colorado artisans pieces sold within. The store has a great variety of gifts and pieces made by artists from Colorado. Highly recommend this store. They do not ship. THANK YOU, CAROLYN! My other daughter loved her pinecone vase! In fact, she has a goblet with the same design! I wish you a great season!

During our family vacation, I came across a stunning pair of earrings that perfectly matched my preferred style. However, within just three weeks of returning home, one of the earring stones fell out, fortunately, I managed to catch it. Despite making multiple attempts to contact the store from Monday to Sunday during their business hours and leaving voicemails, I haven't received any response. To remedy the situation, I had to invest in resetting the stone in a more secure setting, incurring a cost equivalent to the original purchase price. I'm sharing this experience to inform others about my situation.

We got married in Silver Basin, and the day of we stopped in here with our dog! I was in need of some earrings for our ceremony. I wish I knew her name, but one lady who works there pulled out some AMAZING turquoise and sterling silver earrings! She said that when she got those in at the store, she knew they had to be for someone special, and when I walked in she said I was the one who could pull them off. They are a special reminder of my big day, of how perfect Ouray and the locals are, and they are my favorite earrings <3 Thank you so much for helping me that day, I appreciate you more than you'll ever know! :)

Have been coming here since I was a kid. Always love their selection of Black Hills Gold jewelry. We stop in here every time we're in town and always leave with something cute.

This place is, pardon the pun, a gem. The shop keeper was delightful. Her selection was diverse and wonderful. My family (myself, my parents and my oldest child) spent the better part of an hour perusing her selection and chatting with her. We left happy and well supplied! From artwork, jewelry, stone fetish carvings, this shop had it all. I look forward to another visit the next time we're in Colorado!

Every new area we visit, we purchase a children's book from the area for our kids. this bookstore was one of the best small town bookstores we have come across! They had a fantastic selection of local books, including children's books. I could have spent a lot more time there.

Really nice place with a lot to choose from. There are more than just books here. They have antique books and knick knacks from the old railroad era.

By far the best art gallery in Ouray and a wonderful gallery anywhere. We like to visit art galleries every place we visit - and are disappointed all too often. If you're an art gallery person and find yourself in Ouray, definitely check out the Ago. If it appears closed, call Paige and she'll make it work. Wonderful pottery, bronze sculpture, paintings and photography from Western Slope artists. Highly recommended!

Every time we go to Ouray it is one of our first stops. Great collection of art from the surrounding area. Always something new and the owner does a great job decorating the gallery with antique pieces. The people there are very friendly and seem to know alot about the area.

Shopped for a gift for my niece in this cute town.  So many stores have souvenirs, but if you look closely or ask where the bracelet was made, so often is the case that it is an import, made in India or made in Brazil. Who wants a Colorado souvenir, made abroad? Don't get me wrong... I found a lovely bracelet, imported from India here, so inexpensive, but I passed on it.  I realized that often times you pay a little more for "Made in America".  There was enough selection of Made in Colorado to satisfy me and so it was that a little purse with Aspen design was purchased. I understand American made products cost more... just wish it weren't the case.
