Centro Social & Cultural Do Núcleo De Arte is a vibrant art hub in Maputo, serving as a gallery, workshop, and educational center. It is the oldest collective of artists in the city and offers visitors the opportunity to admire local artwork and witness artists at work. The cooperative promotes up-and-coming artists through workshops and studios where painters and sculptors create their pieces. The space features contemporary art by some of Maputo's newest talents, with some pieces available for purchase.
I just happened to walk by this place, about a 5 minute walk from the Natural History Museum. Mozambique seems to have a distinctive style of art that I’ve especially enjoyed compared to other African countries I’ve seen.
I really enjoyed many of the paintings & the sculptures. The prices are also quite reasonable & a great way to support local artists!

I had a delightful time at Nucleo de Artes. The art exhibition was captivating, set in a beautiful space that encourages creatives from various backgrounds to connect. The staff was friendly and receptive, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. Ended up purchasing a few impressive pieces from the gallery. A must-visit for art enthusiasts!
Great place to visit and one of the top places in maputo to drink a beer. Food and drinks to good prices. Every Sunday the have live music. But the best of this bar that makes it stand out, is the experience of going there to drink a beer and then going to galerie to see the painting, maybe even talking to some artist.
We visited the centre in the evening,with wide smile they welcoming us. The artists show us the gallary and even the workshop where they paint their pictures. We are so happy to see this great work in Maputo.

Possibly the best sundowner spot in Maputo. The decor is very nice and the views unmatched. The service is not the greatest and everything is a little pricey, but that is generally a small price to pay for the experience. Well worth a visit!

Excellent cafe and restaurant in Maputo with an incredible view of the water. You must visit!! The food and coffee was exceptional, and the waiter was attentive and friendly. Let me explain the missing stars from my score: 4 stars for service is because the car park is terrible and i ground the bottom of my car getting out. Nothing to do with the internal customer service, but if they want me to keep coming back then the parking needs to better than a patch of sand next to their place.
3 stars for atmosphere: this might be a little harsh, and could have been 4 stars, but the music was too loud and too intense for a lazy coffee at 3pm in the afternoon. At night, yes. I can see the music being an important part of the ambiance. But it didn’t fit when we were there.

The views at this place are absolutely stunning. The service was very slow in the beginning and it wasn’t too busy. This did however, improve later on. The food was average. I think the best dishes were the lobster pasta, and the apple crumble. The chicken samosas tasted very greasy and bland, the bread that came with the prawns was a little stale. I would definitely come back for the ambience. Worth a try, but don’t expect too much in as far as the food goes.
Dhow is a stunning place with a beautiful design and one of the best sunsets. The service is less satisfactory when it fills up, and the prices are absolutely unreasonable. As a resident of the city it is lovely and always a suggestion when tourists visit.

There are many dry foods, nuts, vegetables and fruits in good quality. Price is negotiable for bulk purchasing. And there is a new 2-floor parking lot next to the market 👍
I've heard you can get fresh produce at good prices, although I've only visited the market to exchange some money. It's very lively and bustling with people when it's open.
It is my to-go place in Maputo for any and all type of vegetables and fruits. The quality of fruits and vegetables are very good and fresh. The sellers are friendly and they also learnt a bit English and Hindi names for the vegetables. Varieties of legumes, nuts, piri piri sauces and spices are also available here. There is a small area for fish sellers.

We spent a couple of hours here today.
There is an assortment of hand made items. Everything from rugs, baskets and handbags to statues.
Vendors were polite and would deal with prices. $US were accepted everywhere.
The restaurants in the park were excellent and also accepted credit cards.

As a collector of trinkets, I loved it here. So many beautiful sights and sounds and just a lot of shopping to be had! We didn’t have much time to explore Maputo due to work, but I’m glad this was one of the stops we got to go on!
Great leadership. Wonderful people. This church is a place where you can hear the word of God and find a place to serve in. It's also a place to build relationships with fellow believers.
Fantastic oldfashioned city park..Lots of Straw colored fruitbats..a fascinating statue of four Goddesses. We went quite a few times just to enjoy the trees and atmosphere.

The food is good. In particular, I liked the shrimp foods. But given the high price, I minus half star.
Service not bad. Location wonderful.
The sushi selection was amazing, you can build your own plate by combining two pieces which lets you try a wide variety of sushi. But the cashew dessert was the highlight! Incredible, it was recommended to me by the staff. Very filling and absolutely to die for. I also wasn’t expecting such a big portion for a dessert. I’d definitely order it again and again it was so delicious: 10/10 💫
Nice restaurant in Maputo. We went there for dinner. Food was good. There were vegan menu which was ok, however it was not the best.
Sushi was also good with fish plate that can be shared with many.
Staff were also nice and they were helpful. Seating outside was calm and good too.

What a find! We had time to kill while waiting for our boat to the islands. Spectacular is how i would describe this place!!! We had a selection of starters and each one was fantastic. Service great, wine list extensive. Amazing value for the level of food received.

The drinks arrived quite on time, however the food took a lot of time. This maybe due to the tush hour on a Sunday evening. Though in all it was a bang-on experience. Washrooms also a big 10/10 for the hygiene!

Good long hours, extensive menu, and it is pricey but worth it for the service here . I got a cappuccino and a pear & Gorgonzola pizza.
This used to be one of the best restaurants in Mozambique, unfortunately the quality dropped sharply. They still make good pizzas but unfortunately I can’t say the same for the rest of the menu options

For over a decade, our family has made the Maputo Fish Market a must-visit destination. We have fond memories of coming here long before it was moved to its current location, always guaranteed a delicious, fresh meal that was a highlight of our trips. Unfortunately, our most recent visits have been a different story. The experience is no longer what it once was, and the joy of a good meal has been overshadowed by the rising costs. While we understand that prices for fresh seafood fluctuate, the expenses for the entire process have become quite steep.
The cost of the fish itself has gone up, as has the fee for having it cleaned. The most jarring change, however, is the price to have the fish cooked. The amount we are now charged for cooking is often higher than the price we paid for the fish itself, which seems disproportionate and unreasonable. To make matters worse, there are now additional, separate charges for starches and vegetables, which feels quite ridiculous given the overall cost.
We've come to the conclusion that a local restaurant, which offers a clean, comfortable environment and a guaranteed price, is now a better option. For what we pay at the fish market, we can get a meal of similar value at a restaurant, along with the comfort of a clean toilet and proper seating. While it's sad to say, the Maputo Fish Market no longer offers the same value or experience it once did for our family.
With all the fresh fish coming out of Maputo Bay, I think they're going to be covered. What you're really wondering about is the freshness. On the assumption that the locals at the market are tough professionals, we switched tack without so much as a flicker and took the prawns we had bought at the market with us to the takeaway restaurant next to the market.
Be careful if you go here! The prices are a total scam, especially for tourists. At the restaurant where they prepare your seafood selection, it’s even worse — they charge way too much and aren’t upfront about the costs.
On top of that, the vendors are relentless. While you’re just trying to wait, they keep hammering you to buy something, and it gets really annoying instead of enjoyable.
The bathrooms are terrible, dirty, and you still have to pay to use them. Honestly, the whole experience feels like they just want to rip people off rather than give good service.
If you’re planning a visit, just know what you’re getting yourself into. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Avoid. Very expensive, and, unfortunately, the people who work there have not a clue about tourism. The only target is to empty your wallet and destroy the experience. Seafood is indeed fantastic, but is better to avoid this place. It really shows the worst part of having a lunch in Maputo.
Crazy but lovely fish market. Gotta keep your witts about you otherwise it becomes overwhelming. The food is great/excellent but obviously depends on which establishment you choose to prepare it. Will definitely be back for another crazy experience;)
The people are extremely helpful, they can also get a bit overwhelming and pushy when you enter the fish market especially if you’re foreign as they all want to make a living. Negotiate with them as they are open to that, you can pay for cleaning as well. We’ve eaten at stand 16 they prepare it for you there and you pay for that. It’s honestly prepared beautifully and tastes great. Ask for Costa at stand 16 when you’re ready to eat.
This place has fresh fish in different sizes and types. The market has two sides one that sells the fish and the restaurants that prepare the fish that you choose from the fresh market. There is plenty seating area and secure parking for 20 MZM.

FEIMA Craft Fair in Maputo is a must-visit for those looking to purchase unique souvenirs and gifts. The fair showcases the work of local artists and artisans, ranging from batik paintings to wooden handicrafts and traditional capulanas. Secure parking is available at the market, which offers a variety of crafts for sale at negotiable prices. In addition to shopping, FEIMA also features restaurants with an extensive menu that includes both local and international cuisine.
Very nice place to buy souvenirs. A tip: don't buy from the first sellers after entering, they will be quite aggressive in trying to sell, but there are hidden gems inside the fair, e.g. Ms. Felicia, who herself sews amazing stuff (clothes, bags, purses) from African print fabric, very much high quality, also other sellers who really make their stuff themselves instead of reselling Chinese merch. Be prepared to bargain and use mosquito spray, they do bite there even during the day.

The food at the Artistas Restaurant was amazing and the vendors who displayed their crafts were of a very high standard. I most particularly loved the lady who crocheted large table clothes. Just so beautiful!!
The place is ok with several options of typical handicrafts, sourvenirs, paints, etc.
What is bothering are the locals insisting to buy something, which give no time to really focus in some interesting stuff, just want to go away...this is exactly the opposite of their intentions.
I had mixed feeling about this place. The park is nice for a walk and many shops and artworks here and there, many local made which is nice. But some are just touristic style of souvenirs.
What is disturbing is that sellers just pop up in front of you and offer their stuff. Some just follow you and keep shouting asking you to get a "free look" that ends with a story about how much they need your money to leave for food/kids/etc..
I bought few things I liked, some shop keepers are really decent. But it felt disturbing and unconformable being stalked while walking from others.
One thing more. Always negotiate the price, initial prices are super inflated. But keep in mind that you are supporting these people so be a bit kind too!
In general prices here are cheaper than those cross you in the streets in other touristic areas.

Loved the plants for sale! Endless stalls of folks selling trinkets, art, wood carvings. Tons of souvenir shopping as well as fabric. A few choices for a great lunch/cold beer/snack. The merchants were anxious to show you their items but not overly pushy

The Casa de Ferro is a historical landmark that was imported from Belgium in 1892 to serve as the governor-general's residence. Located within the vicinity of other notable tourist attractions, this iron house may be considered a fascinating colonial relic. Although its exterior presents an interesting sight, there is not much to see inside. Nevertheless, it holds significant cultural value and is recommended for tourists seeking to immerse themselves in the local history and culture.
Antonio Macanja gave such so much information on Moçambique, he is a walking encyclopedia I could sit there the whole day learming about history from him. The place is clean and well maintained piece of history and they have beautiful local art pieces. Was worth the visit❣️

Interesting house with evidently lots of history. Unfortunately it is neither beautiful nor accessible to the public, but while you’re in the area it is well worth having a look.
A house made of iron prefabricated in Belgium parachuted in the capital of a Portugese colony in the tropics! It was meant to serve as a residence of the Portugese governor, but ever since 1892 the year it was erected offices went in and out. It was just too hot inside.
Perhaps a good example of how ignorant the initial Portugese rulers were about local conditions. For me a surprise that Gustave Eiffel did the design. Was the man as backward as his clients or was he just not interested in far-away territories?
There was an interesting exhibition of paintings in the hot house.

Didn’t go inside as we were in a rush, but interesting none the less. Designed by Gustav Eiffel for the then governor of Lorenzo Marques, even though Eiffel never been to Mozambique, the Iron House is made of iron... not at all practical in the cities tropical climate. The governor never ended up living there! There’s a craft shop that’s also worth a visit and the impressive statue of Samora Machel across the traffic circle.
Interesting place to visit, in the area where the main, historic tourist attractions are. Iron house for the governor to live in.....wow! Who's crazy idea was that - another colonial mistake, but fascinating all the same.
Seems like it could be a tourist trap but is actually quite an interesting building with a fascinating history. The whole area surrounding the Iron House is actually very interesting with much on offer.
It was an interesting building but closed so we could only look around on the outside and through the windows.
Interesting precinct yo view a number of historical sites. Would recommend getting a local guide to explain some of the significance

It was cooked exactly as I have been looking for, in the oven with a delicious lemon butter beside and some succulent sauteed vegetables. The service was just perfect, high-standard quality, I felt really bad I couldn't tip the waiter in extra to the note with my credit card (hadn't brought any cash).

Overall good place to hang out with family and friends.
My experience in JN was pleasant, although I discovered that I do not like polvo, I must admit that the dessert was excellent therefore I will not judge my whole expirience based on one dish.
If I get the chance, I'll go back and try other dishes. Just for the cake and sangria, I recommend.

The ambiance is great even when dining alone you dont feel lonely. Love the food. Haven't had kale cooked by a restaurant that tastes soooo delicious. Satisfied with my choice of dish, you can never go wrong with fish even one that looks so red. The staff is also quite friendly.

Located by the Maputo marina this restaurant has a lot to offer. The service is good the food is great. The sites are splendid. Great for business meetings, casual dates, steam blowing after work, family meals during the weekend you name it! It's also group friendly. They also offer live music on Fridays.

Saint Anthony Catholic Church is a remarkable gem nestled in the heart of Maputo, showcasing stunning modernist architecture that captivates all who visit. While access to the interior may be limited due to specific visiting hours, those eager to explore can often find alternative routes through nearby community spaces. Although some maintenance work might be underway, it does little to diminish the overall experience of this architectural marvel.
Please make sure you visit this.
If closed, go around the back and ask them for a visit, they’ll gladly lead you through the community center where there is a corridor that leads to the church.

Very stunning structure to see with your own eyes. Sadly wasn't able to go inside as it's only open certain hours of the day so find out before you arrive. It certainly would have been a treat to see the inside of the church.
This is an old church with exquisite ans unique cone-shaped design and explendid vitrals. I needs urgent financial help to be restored to its former glory.
The stained windows and unusual architecture were quite simply, stunning. Even though they were busy with some maintenance, it still couldn't detract from the experience. This stop has to be added to your visit to Maputo!
Great example of modernist architecture in Maputo. Something very unique! The church is accessible from the building next door. There was no charge and I was able to take photographs inside the church. It has potential to attract a lot more people if attention was given to maintenance of building and gardens.

This is a nice place in Maputo to enjoy a delicious Mariscada (seafood platter) and have a couple of beers. Live music makes the ambiance extra nice, and the food is simply spectacular. Food did take a long time and one of the plates took an extra 20 minutes to arrive at the table. Staff attentive, nice view of the beach.

I visited Mimmos, an Italian restaurant located in 24 de Julho, on a busy day when they had a promotional offer where you could get two pizzas for the price of one. I called ahead and went to pick up my order, which was ready after a short delay. The pizza was delicious and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes, especially considering how busy they were that day.

It's a good, reasonably priced location for food or drinks. a menu to fit any need. I had caril de cabra - it was really good! Restaurants that are reasonably priced are slightly less common in Maputo than other capital cities so it's a reliable go to.
Went for takeout on the busiest day for them, the promotion day where you take two pizzas at the price of one. Soo i called and went there to pay pick it up. After some understandable delay the order was ready and just like that i had a yummy pizza for lunch. The interaction with the staff was just beautiful btw, cheerful folks with much knowledge about the dishes especially the time they took to be ready on a day like today.

Let's start at the beginning.
Starters :
I was amazed that these 2 ingredients worked together so well, the ingredients being prawns and honey. I ordered black samoosas with prawns and honey. My very first time seeing this invention and it did not disappoint!
Mains:
Grilled chicken breast with salad.
Tomahawk 400g with fries.
Both these meals were seasoned to perfection. Absolutely juicy and flavourful.
Desserts:
Acacias surprise.
Boy oh boy was this a surprise! Every bite was filled with an explosion of chocolate and cream. The sponge was baked to perfection and the layer of cream and chocolate was such a generous amount.
I included a picture of my condiments because I always order mayo as an extra and I was pleasantly surprised that this was offered as a normal condiment.
The service was brilliant - so much attention to detail. The view was spectacular & that's at no extra cost 😉.
All in all, I'm already planning my next visit & would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great time out!
Amazing experience, the food was excellent and the staff was nice and helpful. We had some starters, the breaded shrimps and salmon tartar very recomendable. For mains we had the crayfish risotto, lamb chops and rump. We tried for desserts the Bebinca (dessert that is fusion of Indian and Portuguese cuisine) which was very nice, and the tiramisu (I’m not a fan but this one was very good). Don’t miss it if you visit Maputo!

The view, the breeze and the food are very good. Great menu and attentive friendly staff. Great place for families with babies & kids as they have a park next to it kids can play and lots of space if you want to take your stroller. Ice cream with a couple of flavors are available daily and they introduced a weekly menu. Recommended dessert: bebinca one on my favorites

We had been here before and everything was perfect. Yesterday unfortunately that was not the case. The steaks were all over done making them dry, yes maybe one should not eat meat in a seafood restaurant but we had done it before without a problem. My suggestion ask for rare. The three pepper and mushroom sauce were delicious. The sauteed vegetables were limp and tasteless. The prawns were apparently fabulous. The service was very good. There were 7 adults. We paid 3,000 Mets per person no starters one or two had dessert. Two bottles of wine for the table, some beers and two digestifs each for 5 of the guests.
Great seafood and wide menu selection, including non-seafood options such as picanha, steaks, and chicken. The grilled salmon was especially good. The main portion is a decent size, but the side dishes are quite small. Expensive. There is a plate of the day lunch menu with more economical prices.

Mmm okay, so the environment here is great, there dishes will wow you as there presentation is on point. I must say the food looks better then it taste not saying it is not good I enjoyed it. Service was good, pricing is costly you will pay. If you dont have a deep wallet go here at least once you will appreciate it.

I had their grilled fish fillet two days ago alongside the passionfruit lemonade for dinner and a couple of hours later had food poisoning and threw up. I have doubts about the hygiene and quality of the food/drinks and it was definitely not worth the expensive price. There are much nicer restaurants in town which we got to discover later. This was our first meal. Can't recommend.

And the food i can go on and on praising it. Honestly when i was sceptical about the food considering the country (mozambique) is no where close to Asia. However turns out the chief is from thailand. And the food we ate was extremely delicious and very much asian. I m here in maputo for next 3 days and no doubt i will be going to this place for all my meals. They have vegetarian options as well.

They have a great collection of wines as well. They do have good service. Indoor and outdoor sitting is there. Parking is little tricky outside since its a busy road.
Does charged delivery depending on where you are. They take orders via WhatsApp as well as phone calls. The curried crab is pricey however the amount could easily share for 3-4 persons. It doesn't come with sides so you'll need to order something to eat with it. The steamed rice can share for maybe two persons. Asked for spicy but they instead sent a sauce that was very spicy. I'd try again and try other items.
Arrived at the restaurant at 08:37PM and the staff told me that they only can do takeaway and that they don’t allow dine in, when asked why the response was that they are closing soon. The restaurant closes at 10pm as mentioned on the timings. This is a bad way to run a business and the owners should look into this

I had high expectations for Azul, given its prestigious reputation and beautiful location, but unfortunately, my visit was extremely disappointing. The service was horrible—the waitstaff were disrespectful, rude, and completely unprofessional.
We waited over 30 minutes just for someone to take our order, and then an additional 20+ minutes for them to bring us drinks. To make matters worse, they forgot parts of our order entirely, and when we raised concerns, the waiter responded with an attitude, making the situation even more unpleasant.
The food itself was underwhelming and certainly didn’t match the standards one would expect from such a place. The atmosphere felt uncomfortable and heavy, especially because there were curandeiros present, which added to the uneasiness. We ultimately had to call the supervisor to address our issues, which only added to the frustration of being there for over two hours.
For a restaurant with so much potential, it’s disheartening to see such poor service. Even basic tasks like bringing the bill, drinks, or ice were excessively slow, which is simply unacceptable. I sincerely hope the management addresses these issues and works toward significant improvements. This restaurant could truly shine with better service and professionalism.
Our dinner here at Azul in Maputo was delicious. We disembarked our Silversea cruise and felt so welcome and at home at this restaurant in our hotel, the Radisson Blu. We loved the feature Butternut soup, the Peri-peri chicken (which was a whole small chicken!) and the Zambiziana chicken as well. We ordered a bottle of wine and the service and timing was pleasant. For any traveller looking for a consistent and lovely meal, we recommend eating here. If we’re ever in Maputo again, we will be back.
I tried this restaurant during my stay at the Radisson Blu in Maputo. Ordered the zambeziana chicken, which was extremely flavorful and I loved it but the fries that came with it were definitely under fried, so not the crispiest texture as one might expect. Staff were very attentive and friendly but the service is VERY slow, waited for almost an hour for my dish. Otherwise, great option for dinner if you’re staying at the hotel.

It was a lovely experience, choosing my seafood and then having it prepared for me while we were waiting. I went to stall 39 as this stall was halaal. We enjoyed Tiger prawns, calamari, and fish.
This place is à bit tricky to rate. The food and the experience is amazing but the service is à bit slow. You might also get overwhelmed with everyone trying to help you and get confused. It’s a fish market where you buy raw seafood and then take it to the restaurant area for them to grill it for you. The food was delicious. They paired it with some veggie rice that tasted out of this world.
I think the prospect of bringing in foreign tourists from abroad in a fair way would enjoy much wider support, given that the restaurant is next to the fresh fish market where the fish comes from Mapto Bay.

Definitely a spectacle worth a walk through! You can purchase local catches fresh off the boats including many different fish to all kinds of seafood on the spot and bring it to the restaurant area next door where they will prepare it for you right there! Of course you can also just take it home. Some excellent photo ops in the market! Prepare to be followed by the restaurant people when you enter the market area and pressured and "guided" basically non stop. If you buy anything you are swarmed to go to their stall to have it prepared. There will be some arguing and you just have to pick someone and go with them if you plan to eat there. As soon as that happens everyone dissipates and lets you go on your way no problem! If you go to just eat in the restaurant area it is very expensive. Significantly cheaper if you do the market thing first and bring it to be prepared. While eating you will have a barrage of people peddling their wares come to your table. Fairly easy to dismiss/ignore if you don't want to actually do this during your meal....but their prices are quite fair if you are in the market for small local crafty things! Everyone is reasonable and polite as long as you are, despite the unfamiliarity of the situation (assuming you aren't accustomed to it!)

Good place to be. Only constraint is parking. Ensure you have few coins to give to the lads outside the shopping. Be nice with them and accept when they say they're looking after your car but don't engage to much with them. Avoid and ignore any type of sudden requests like for example getting your car or windscreen cleaned as most cases the price won't necessary be what you hear. Some guys trick you and then explain after doing the job that the complete service is more costly. After all it's a safe place to be but some bvigilance won't cause any harm.

I honestly am a fan of the food this place serves. Its kind of a local-modern restaurant and I love the adaptations done to put a bit of Mozambique on the plate. Portions are more than enough, in my opinion. They also deliver food but timing can be terrible sometimes. I’d rather find time to go there than to order it.

A nice place to go have a meal for a change, although the prices are a bit more than they should for what you get, they're not that high, the food is just above OK, but you soon notice that the restaurant borrows a lot of inspiration from another famous and successful restaurant in Maputo, and this is valid for both the menu and the stiling. The place has some comfort issues, the tables are too small and they never seem to sit properly on the ground, and the sound is often too loud (in a place where there shouldn't be music at all). The staff is nice.

My 5 year old loved this museum. Beautiful exhibits, with minerals from all over Moçambique. The guide was very knowledgeable and kind, a geology student at Eduardo Mondlane University. Showed us a big piece of graphite and how it is used in pencils. Showed us naturally occurring fluorescence. My child says he'd love to go back to Maputo and visit the museum again.
Very nice little museum. Ask one of the guides (usually volunteer geologists) to show you around and give you a spiel about the geology, geography and current industry of Mozambique. There are mostly mineral and fossil samples and some
maps. Entry is met 20 for students, 50 for locals and 100 for tourists.
Interesting Historical building. Walking distance from most locations. The staff that assisted were so friendly. As an English speaker they catered to my needs. If you are a fan of Geology, definitely pop in. Even if it is to escape the heat of Maputo 😊.

I called them as I was isolating ( getting ready to travel mostly staying indoors) we had trouble communicating in English where my Portuguese language skills came in handy, I placed my order he told me it would be around 45 minutes so agreed and I asked to bring the card machine because I had no physical cash. I've been a Marés Mall enthusiast since 2017. Its scenic coastal location, close proximity to a variety of restaurants, and family-friendly atmosphere make it an ideal shopping destination. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of staying in their apartments, adding a delightful dimension to the overall experience.
Encompasses activities of all nature which makes it an almost one stop mall for all activities.However , the cost is a bit exhorbitent on their products due the location of the mall in a luxurious zone of Maputo,along the Indian Ocean.Just across the mall you are already at the beach which makes it have great views with some uninterrupted breeze directly from the ocean.
Mares Shopping is a good place for shopping. It has got a Shopwrite, a Woolworths (including clothing, toiletries, linens and house stuff), a Builders with great variety and the just opened a Casa Ideal store. They have a gallery where they teach arts and crafts to children. Nice cafe and other two restaurants, a big and modern gym and the only bowling hall in Maputo. One of my favourite is the Boticario store with Brazilian face and body treatments. Parking is great. It’s is not a super fun shopping centre (sometimes it seems rather lonely) but it can be really useful if you are in need of running various errands.

Last Saturday Sep 21 late afternoon 6:51 doing the usual shopping and no paper bag was at the counter to put my stuff. Thanks to the cashier, Nercia Jose Rofino, who went to the cloth store to bring the brown paper bag and put. In addition, my friend liked the bag and she went again and bring.
