Italian restaurant
Buzo Osteria Italiana, located in the Port of Spain in Trinidad, offers a delectable selection of Italian dishes and even provides vegan-friendly options. The restaurant boasts a cozy and romantic ambiance, making it perfect for an intimate dining experience. The staff is known for their exceptional politeness, attentiveness, and extensive knowledge about the menu offerings. Additionally, Buzo now offers delivery services with added perks such as free cake and a drink with every pizza takeout order.
It was truly an exceptional dining experience! The food is absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors that make every bite unforgettable. Their pizzas are a standout, perfectly thin crust, fresh toppings, and bursting with flavor. Whether you’re a fan of classic Margherita or something more adventurous. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, and during Christmas, the festive decor creates a warm and elegant atmosphere that adds to the charm. The staff is professional and attentive, ensuring your experience is nothing short of perfect. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but the quality of the food, the impeccable service, and the stunning ambiance make it worth it. Perfect for special occasions, date nights, or simply treating yourself.

It's been too long overdue since I was meant to write this so here goes. Buzo has never actually let me down. It is the one Italian restaurant in Trinidad that culminates both strong and subtle flavors. When I lived in Trinidad it would be a once a month minimum takeout or go to restaurant as their mushroom pastas, pizzas in addition to even their steak was always exceptionally crafted and delicious. Highly recommend trying the Vigna pizza which cheerfully balances the blue cheese flavor profile with grape and their original Buzo pizza as well. Can't wait to visit again!
Syamtist — Google review
Went for my mother’s birthday. My parents and fiancé had the steak and it was the best steak they’ve had locally. I myself am vegetarian and had the tempura portobello mushrooms which were amazing and the ravioli which was so rich. Our waitress was most accommodating, friendly and service on point. The infrastructure itself is modern/rustic and so beautiful.
Stefan K — Google review
The Best Italian Cuisine in Port of Spain! This is, without a doubt, my favorite restaurant in Port of Spain! The food is consistently outstanding, especially their pastas and pizzas. One standout dish is their pasta with mushrooms and cream—it’s rich, and flavour! The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it ideal for various occasions, whether it’s a romantic dinner, a casual outing with colleagues, or a special celebration. While the restaurant is on the pricier side, the quality of the food and the overall experience make it well worth the splurge. Recommendation: The service, although friendly and professional, can be a bit slow at times. If they could streamline this, it would elevate the dining experience even further. Pro tip: Make a reservation to secure your spot, especially during peak hours, as it’s a popular choice for both locals and visitors. If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine with a touch of sophistication, this is the place to be!

Buzo is fine dining. The staff is so polite and well-trained. The food is delicious. However, no matter how many dishes I try, my favorite is the Buzo pizza. Im not sure if its their signature dish, but WOW. It's a flat dough pizza without tomato paste, yet smothered in goat cheese and argula leaves. I can eat the whole thing. Lol. The staff actually listens to your needs and can cater to fussy teenagers. One of mine wanted Chicken Alfredo, which was not on the menu, and the chef prepared it. That's great service. I will definitely go back. And I recommend Buzo to everyone who wants a great food experience. Ohhhhh I forgot their desserts. We tried Gelato and affogato. Decadent 🍧🍨🍦🍦

Had my birthday dinner at this restaurant on Saturday night. The food was good, but not amazing. Beautiful ambiance, very friendly and engaging staff.
Alexandria H — Google review
Above expectations! Went for my birthday. The menu was not pages long but very complete for any preference in Italian food or meats/steaks. Pricing was a bit on the high side especially for steaks. But note the food tastes great. Having eaten at lots of Italian restaurants globally this is top 10 category so hence you get what you pay for. There’s roadside parking plus their own parking lot a few doors down. There’s security at the lot and also among the street for your safety. Big plus on this. The service was not exceptional though. 1 waiter was excellent while another was seemingly forced to be tolerant to us. Lots of waiters and waitresses so you can call on anyone, not just the initial one. Asked where the bathroom was and was guided directly to it. The decor and atmosphere is perfect. Not overdone but elegant and well thought out. Someone had a 2 or 3 year old there and not a peep from the kid. Attentive parents though. Must go for the food, ambience and an overall great experience!
Troy P — Google review
This is one hell of a great great experience. You will not regret your time going there! From the moment that you walk in, you are greeted in a personal, friendly, warm, welcoming manner by the hostess and wait-staff. I was politely guided to my table and the menu provided for me, within a few minutes later I was attended to by my server who asked what I would like to drink and brought me back a drink with Jack Daniels honey that tasted so good I already did not mind spending the money that I knew I was going to spend yet to come. After a few sips, our server returned and asked if we were ready to order our dishes. He was very, very helpful in his suggestion and showed that he understood the menu and had great experience that could be relied upon coming to any new food establishment. When our dishes arrived I was so satisfied with the visual aspect of it that I already felt anticipation building for the taste, and what great wonderful Symphony of taste it was (view pictures). I have absolutely only good review and praise for the preparation of the of the two dishes the taste and textures were Worthy of absolutely every Star that I can give them and I promised myself that I (we) will be back to try yet even more dishes at Buzo. Thank you for making my gf birthday a smashing hit!!!!!

Sushi restaurant
Teppanyaki restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Port of Spain, Samurai Restaurant is a culinary gem that specializes in Japanese and seafood dishes. This popular dining spot offers an inviting atmosphere where guests can indulge in expertly crafted sushi and fresh seafood delicacies. With its diverse menu, Samurai Restaurant caters to both traditional tastes and adventurous palates alike. Whether you're looking for a casual lunch or a delightful dinner experience, this restaurant promises to deliver flavors that transport you straight to Japan while enjoying the lively Caribbean ambiance.
Went here for a birthday dinner for the Omikaze. The hosts, chefs and wait staff were absolutely spectacular and engaging. The food from the 11 course tasting menu was delicious and actually very filling. They were also able to accommodate non-fish options for a member of my party who did not eat fish. Overall lovely experience.
Jean-Luc D — Google review
For food, we tried the pork wontons, the ODA and TSUKI sushi rolls, the SENSHI bowl, and the Teriyaki salmon. The highlights were definitely the pork wontons and the salmon as both were well-seasoned and flavorful. The TSUKI roll was great as well. Everything else was just okay. The shrimp in the Senshi bowl was quite rubbery, and the salmon surprisingly hit the table cold. If you prefer hot entrées, this might not be the best fit. Food: 3/5 As for the atmosphere, the Japanese décor was aesthetically pleasing, but the indoor layout and music could use some improvement. We were seated in a smaller room that felt cramped and poorly lit, and the music was so loud it was difficult to hold a conversation. I’d give the indoor atmosphere 3/5 (though I’d like to try the outdoor seating next time). Service was fine overall, and the staff was pleasant. However, I have to take off one star because my Senshi bowl order was mixed up. I had asked for no onions and no plantain, but still received plantain in my dish. This may have been because the music was so loud the server couldn’t hear me clearly. Service:4/5 Overall, tasty food with a couple of standouts, great drinks, and nice décor but the indoor atmosphere and temperature of the entrées might not be for everyone.
Ashanti Q — Google review
The food and drinks were delicious but the service was a bit too slow for my liking. We enjoyed our meals. The only complaint was the wanton. Everything else was delicious. Highly recommended. 👍🏽

A great place for sushi! The experience here is always enjoyable. Our server Jose was attentive and responsive, he was also extremely knowledgeable about the menu answering questions and giving suggestions. The portions were generous and the sushi bowl was a hit! My one thing is the menu is very limited for non-sushi eaters but it does have a few options. It should also be noted that there is both indoor and outdoor seating but we opted to sit inside. They also have quite a few specials for drinks and sushi so be sure to check them out.

My bestie and I recently had my annual celebratory birthday lunch/dinner at Samurai. First of all, this it was her first time experiencing eating sushi, and well I'm a little more experienced but it was a first at this restaurant. The ambience was picturesque with esthetically pleasing; Grounded in nature, its Japanese based design is simple and yet effective at setting a mood. The service from our host and steward was excellent. We were well attended to and most satisfied with the quality and level of professionalism. Food, oh yes the food! Well, my friend for sure was hesitant at first with all the stigma about raw fish but it's safe to say she's a converted sushi eater and most likely will try it again based on her experience at Samurai. Especially the Crispy Shrimp and Crispy California rolls, they are semi-cooked. I particularly liked the overall experience. The sushi was sumptuous and fulling, and my complimentary birthday ice-cream just topped off the celebration.

*Disappointing Experience at Samurai* I visited Samurai expecting to enjoy good Japanese food, but unfortunately, the service was a complete disaster. Despite having available tables inside the restaurant, we were seated outside, where we noticed a spider web on the lamp above our table. The staff was unfriendly and lacked communication. *Issues with the order and service* We had the misfortune of being attended by 5 different staff members, which added to the chaos. We ordered passion fruit juice, but they didn't have it. Then, we ordered two pineapple juices and one cranberry juice, but they brought one pineapple juice and a beer that we didn't order. The sushi rolls and ramen arrived at different times, making the experience even more uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the sushi arrived without utensils, sauce, or napkins. *Lack of attention* When it started raining, no one approached us to ask if we were okay. The waitress showed a unpleasant attitude and there was no effective communication. *The food, the only positive* Although the food was tasty, the poor service ruined the entire experience. We didn't deserve that treatment, especially considering we paid for our food. *Conclusion* My experience at Samurai was very bad. It seems that the treatment depends on the person's appearance. I hope they improve their service to offer a more pleasant experience to their customers. *Rating:* 1/5 stars

Had a Godzilla roll. It was disappointing. For rolls that will have teriyaki sauce/ or garlic sauce, at least they can provide a small packet for to go orders. Only soy sauce was given and I don’t really eat soy sauce. The roll on the whole was mid. Wouldn’t purchase again.

I had a really good time here. It was a wonderful new experience for me. The drink that I ordered (cucumber lemonade with mint) was fantastic. The only issue I had was the Miso soup because it was brought to me when it was warm. I ordered the chicken curry nanban noodles in a bowl and it was good. It really was a curry dish. The service at the restaurant was really nice, the waiter and waitress who served me were very courteous a d responsive. I really appreciated their services. The atmosphere was remarkably good, a singer was brought in and he brought wonderful vibes by singing some old school and new school jams mostly blues and indie rock. Samurai restaurant is a good place to go and I would recommend it because of their professionalism and memorable setting.

Steak house
Texas de Brazil - Trinidad is an upscale Brazilian restaurant in Port of Spain, offering a unique dining experience with all-you-can-eat grilled meats carved tableside and a diverse salad bar. The restaurant is known for its wide variety of side dishes and salads, as well as a meat selection that includes steak cuts, lamb, chicken, and sausages. The customer service is excellent, with friendly and helpful staff members.
Was really good... but They should update the website with their prices and that of the place. I didn't mind that the prices didn't match, but more than one would care... the excellent service and the super food... I loved it I went to celebrate my birthday and I had a great time
Alexa R — Google review
The entire table with side dishes were stone cold, garlic bread hard as a crouton, mushrooms that are supposed to be eaten hot are like they are straight out the fridge, the meats were all seasoned the same so they tasted the same just different textures.. some had no salt while others were over salty like the ocean there was no inbetween, the only meat I will give as amazing is the bacon wrapped chicken. Good experience to go once, the atmosphere is very very very very nice with live music playing when i went and the service was impeccable however i will not be returning as I can get more flavor and higher quality food on the avenue.
Snjay P — Google review
There's a wide variety of side dishes and salads. The meat selection includes steak cuts, lamb, chicken and sausages. The customer service was excellent, the staff members were friendly and helpful. This restaurant is great for those that have a big appetite and can handle loads of meat being served in intervals sizzling off the grill. The drinks were also great and I loved their carrot cake. Definitely recommend for a birthday or special occasion. The restaurant week special was a steal of a deal.
Sangeeta G — Google review
Great ambience, great service, the food was delicious some meats are a bit salty but most were on point and cooked just how you prefer it. Servers were very polite and courteous. The chefs came out to ensure everything was to our liking. The drinks were also well made and the deserts are delicious. They were also very accommodating for kids. The prices are high, as to be expected of places of this caliber.

Tonight is our last night in Trinidad, we decided to go eat at Texas De Brazil. We are here celebrating our anniversary. It was myself, my husband and our friend Sherwin. It was his first time so, you know, he was in for a treat. 🙂 From the moment, we walked in the door, we were given excellent service. The manager, Christian, came up to greet us and made sure we were ready to be seated. Once, at the table, our server Joseph was very kind, knowledgeable and served us promptly. He explained to Sherwin, how the process works and went to get our drink orders. The food was delicious, hot and fresh. Christian is a true gentleman and assisted me with my plate and pulled out my chair. During the course of dinner our anniversary was mentioned and that it was our first time here. The service became even better. 🙂 We received Champagne and wonderful well wishes. They took wonderful care of us. Christian was so kind to give us a tour of Rizzoni's Italian restaurant below. It is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for making our last night in Trinidad one of the best. 🙂

Restaurant
Town Restaurant & Bar in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago is known for its generous portions that exceed expectations. Despite some disappointments with certain dishes, the overall experience is positive. The ambience and decor are impressive, and the service is good. The restaurant offers a wide variety of tasty food at a reasonable price, making it an excellent choice for dining out with friends or family. Additionally, the option to order half portions allows for flexibility in portion sizes.
Parking is directly across the street. Attendant was hospitable and assured us the place was good. Now visiting Trinidad for a few days, heard this restaurant was great but we had casual clothes (vacation mode). So with shorts and a polo shirt, my GF and I went to the restaurant (they do have a dress code). The restaurant hostess seated us inside as it was before 6 and they weren’t as busy (after 6 struck dress code found on their website). The server was very knowledgeable about their menu items as we asked about popular dishes. Our drinks from the bar were excellent and arrived fast (Golden Mojito). We ordered the pepper calamari as an appetizer and that was excellent. Battered lightly, you can enjoy the flavor of the calamari nestled in hot pepper and green peppers with onions. We ordered the gourmet rice (incredible), oyster sauce chicken (average) and the star of the show to us was the Hong Kong Roast Pork. This was great!!! We will definitely be back!!!!

Went for a family reunion lunch. Great selection of Chinese food, and good drinks. Service (Francis) was very attentive & helpful, quick & efficient. Food was very good, Mussels especially & several varieties of Wontons & stir fried fish. Nice ambience, they turned down music to accommodate us so we could talk without shouting. I would recommend going.

I've been here several times. The food does NOT disappoint. Great service, excellent environment. I only have two personal concerns, 1. The wait time for your order - which is understandable considering the size of the restaurant but don't go hungry 😅 2. It's a bit too dark for my liking, depending on where you sit. If you sit against the walls, the lighting is good but if you have a group and have to sit away from the walls, it's a bit difficult to see properly - that however was back in 2020 at dinner time... Haven't been there for dinner since... I've gone for lunch several times though 😅

2nd dining experience by the bar. The guys were super busy so getting their attention was a little challenging. The drinks and food came quickly though. Their portions are huge so please note that. The food was delicious as usual. Highly recommended
Damian P — Google review
Soo over rated. The food was sub-mediocre. The noodles were bland and the honey chicken just tasted sweet/sugary. No seasonings in any dish. The drinks were expensive and very sweet. $90 for a drink and 0 buzz because of the juice to alcohol ratio being off.
Lola A — Google review
The food and service was great. I would have given 4.5 stars if it was a option, because the crab back appetizer was OK, too much bread used. However the other food items made up for it. Fried Wonton, Pepper Shrimp, vegetable fried rice and vegetable chow mein were great. I would definitely go back when I visit Trinidad again. 🇹🇹 the ambience was very nice.
Thomas F — Google review
As a first time experience I found it to be quite enjoyable. Our server Varune was excellent and attentive. Portions were unexpectedly huge and prices great. Ambience was on point and really cozy. Won't hesitate to return.

Town Restaurant is a very cozy space. If you enjoy hanging out alone or with friends, this is the ideal spot. I had the opportunity to taste their Chinese food and it is excellent. The 1/4 portions are nice. The food is very tasty, especially the plum chicken and pepper calamari. These two dishes really stood out for me. Finally let talk about the table staff, they are excellent, polite and highly efficient. I have been there twice and I am definitely going to visit again. Great job!

When in Port of Spain, make sure to visit Aioli, a restaurant located in Ellerslie Plaza in Maraval. This Mediterranean-inspired fine dining establishment offers delicious food and excellent service. Whether you're with a large group, family, or having a business meeting, Aioli caters to various occasions for lunch, brunch, and dinner. The ambiance is relaxing and the value for money is evident. Guests have praised the professional and warm service provided by Marvin, the restaurant manager.
Had a lovely meal with some first rate service and delicious cocktails. Happened to be restaurant week and we tried their fixed price menu. Had a very good selection to chose from. Enjoyed the shrimp cocktail a delicious salad and perfectly cooked surf and turf. Would eat there again and highly recommend.

My friends and I came here for a birthday lunch. We were the only persons in the restaurant yet the service was slow. The staff also needs to be more knowledgeable of their own menu - our waiter could not answer our questions without confusion. The lighting in the restaurant is extremely low and dim, making the atmosphere univiting rather than cozy / intimate. Two of us ordered a la carte while another person ordered from the prix fixe menu. The prix fixe menu was great value for money. Everything we ordered tasted great but the pizza was a little burnt on the bottom. Overall, the food is really good but service and atmosphere can be better. Side note - they are one of the few restaurants in Trinidad that don't give you anything for a birthday celebration

Great food as usual... but dinner is available only from 6pm---they made every effort to facilitate us, though!

To say that this was a wonderful experience would be a gross understatement. Marvin, the restaurant manager was exceptionally professional, warm and truly charming. The ambience is so inviting and the food display is amazing. Who knew salads could look so enticing?!😩 The staff was very friendly & welcoming, and super helpful with suggestions especially as it was my 1st time. The food is always delicious, service is exceptional. The market place always has some tasty bites be sure to try out the pizzas and fried chicken sandwich. The truffle pasta salad is the half eaten pasta as pictured it is really yummy but the price has raised lately. The mushroom pizza is always nice and there are frozen versions you can buy to reheat at home.

The food was good, the environment was clean and pleasant, and the server was friendly. The cashier was polite overall, but I didn’t appreciate her approach in one situation. I didn’t realize she had already put a fork in my bag, so I picked one up from the counter—it's to the front where most people would assume utensils are for customer use. Instead of calmly explaining, she said, “No, we don’t do that here,” in a tone that felt unnecessary. Honestly, I could’ve snapped, but I was too hungry to bother. Just don't put the utentils to the front if y'all don't do that there. 😩 This is the location corner of Abercromby & Queen Street.
Arianna W — Google review
Tasty with a huge portion of rice and huge portion of noodles. However the fish portion was small containing mostly batter and 4 pieces of fish. Exspensive for little serving of fish.

Almost everything was spicy. I prefer no spicy or very little. The servers did not seem interested in satisfying their customers.

The server was not the usual jovial ladies who are out front. Service was mainly without words and eye contact. Felt like I was bothering the young lady. Then the potatoes were basically like chewing on fried sponge full of oil. Didn't enjoy today's lunch. Maybe is time for a rest.

Walk around One Woodbrook Place a few times before settling in at Island Beer Chill & Grill! You'd be thrilled that the few calories burned will be adequately replenished by the extensive menu of food and drink. Indoor or outdoor is spacious and cozy, the staff welcoming. Food is sinfully tasty and portion sizes are generous. The barista was MIA on my visit, so couldn't get an espresso with my complimentary cheesecake, which was deliciously rich and creamy. I could tell you more, but I need a wee nap to let it all sink in.😉

Found my go-to sports bar in Port of Spain! Had a fantastic time watching the Atlético vs. Real match here yesterday. The chicken strips were excellent—homemade and full of flavor! Plus, the happy hour from 4:00 to 7:00 PM is perfect for catching football matches with a great drink deal. Top-notch service and an awesome atmosphere. I'll definitely be back next week for more games! ⚽🍻

The energy at Island beer last night was excellent, along with the service. The cocktails were tasty, presentations were beautiful, and the waitress was quite knowledgeable on each of the offerings and able to answer all our questions without hesitation. The food, however, was a challenge. The wait time for food was extraordinarily long and left more to be desired, which i can only sum up to an off night as I've dined before, and the food tasted much better. Tonight was also quite busy and may have also been a contributing factor. The waitress apologized throughout, checked in, and even provided complimentary shots to compensate for the experience. Highly appreciated.

I had the bbq combo. It was good but the chicken needed to be cooked a little more. A bit on the pricey side for a box of BBQ.

This has become one of my favorite spots when I visit Trinidad. Food is consistent and great and the drinks exceptional. It's a really good spot to watch sports too. I ate the creamy chicken there and I ordered rolls from the Samurai place next door which was exceptional as well.

This place is vibes. Just a fair warning though, the music on the outside is very loud. However, indoor seating provides for a better experience to have a conversation. I visited to have a few beers with my partner and we had a blast. We sat by the bar, the bartender were very attentive and answered all our questions about the foreign beers. We would definitely visit again.

Really nice place with a big screen showing sports. I had a delicious house salad with grilled chicken that looked amazing as well. The bar staff was attentive and not too invasive. They let me sample the wine before deciding if I want to drink it, which was a very nice touch. I will definitely be back to try more food! Oh, and soca was playing from the speaker at just the right volume, creating a nice vibe but still allowing people inside to have conversations.

Great vibes, strong drinks, good food, and friendly service! Awesome spot to grab drinks and smoke some shisha. I smoke a lot of shisha back home and the quality and standards are on point here! They have a huge list of shots and cocktails along with a big menu. We didn't try too much of the food but what we had was tasty and prepared well! Definitely recommend as a great spot to pre drink, grab some drinks and food, or just smoke some shisha!

More Vino is a top-notch sushi restaurant in Trinidad and Tobago that offers an excellent selection of wines. The ambiance is inviting, with attentive staff and delicious food. While dining outside, there was a small incident with another customer, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. The Smokey Dragon Roll was particularly outstanding. Additionally, the buffet offered exceptional flavors and textures, although drinks other than water are not included in the price.
Took myself for an afternoon birthday lunch and it was nothing short of amazing.

After hearing all the hype, I was excited to experience this restaurant. Upon entering, the ambiance was vineyard-like with an outdoor seating area. Once inside, more seating was available and evenly spaced. It was my first experience trying Sushi so I was skeptical and proceeded to ask the Server about Sushi... If it was indeed raw fish and instead of answering directly, he came across a bit snobby and that was uncalled for. I'm here to tell you that the Sushi is not RAW but rather SMOKED. The offerings from their TTRW Sushi Menu were delightful, however I did not like the Seaweed Salad. The Salmon was bland. The appetizers chosen were simply ok and the desserts were nothing special, Creme brulee was not torched. Wouldn't be returning for a long time.
CeCe G — Google review
My wife, daughter, and I went out for dinner. We tried their $150 special menu option. The food took a lot of time to arrive. My entrée arrived at the same time as the appetizer while my wife and daughter's entrées arrived much later. For dessert, we took 2 chocolate mousse to have there. We were given a soup spoon and a serving spoon to eat them with. The texture was extremely grainy and unappealing. They had no diet drink options and did not have passion fruit juice although it is on the menu. There was no mint, so we couldn't try the mocktails that used mint, nor could they make a virgin pina colada because they had no mix (we don't drink alcohol). No fresh juices either. Just orange and grapefruit juice available and grapefruit juice affects our medication so we can't have that. The only saving grace was that the appetizers were good.
Shastri P — Google review
Visited the avenue location for TTRW. Despite how full the place was it did not feel cramped or too noisy. I had reservations for inside dining but had to dine outside which was fine. Ambience and decor is not much to talk about. Our server was very friendly and personable. I ordered sushi as both entrée and main and it tasted good.

Went for TTWR. Service was a bit slow but the place was packed and it was a Friday evening... Was not terribly slow though, took about an hr from start to finish, which was what we expected.

I'm rarely in Port of Spain, but had cravings for sushi. The food was amazingly delicious! The restaurant was clean, crisp and inviting. The staff were absolutely the best! Big portions, deviously delicious and good price point. I'll definitely return. Car park too, so no worries about getting towed.

It was perfect. The sushi rolls was great size, you can distinguish the difference in each rolls taste. The appetizers was plentiful. The drinks isn't all that, it's weak and most of them are sour but overall great ambiance, lovely service. A bit pricey but otherwise great experience

We got lost looking for a restaurant and this pop in our view. This was my first time and my children second. It's a very quaint place. It looks big from the outside but beautiful when you walk in. The garden seating is just as beautiful, it gives you that zen style feeling. The service was great and food as well. We had the sushi and desserts it was truly yummy. They have a great tea selection as well. Happy food exploring.

The National Museum & Art Gallery, formerly known as the Royal Victoria Institute, has been a prominent cultural institution since its establishment in 1892. Located in Port of Spain on Trinidad Island, this museum boasts a diverse collection of over 10,000 items that encompass art, natural history, and social history. The museum's Victorian-era-style building houses seven major galleries featuring exhibits on local artists' works, economic history, geology collections, and Trinidad's Carnival arts.
Trinidad history is something some of us are not fully educated about. The National Museum & Art Gallery is the place to be

The museum is one of my happy places, took my daughter for the first time and she loved it too. Not much has changed since my first visit years ago, yet every time I visit I discover something new. Hoping that with the major renovations coming up they really do this national treasure justice (and maintain it too) First time I've been allowed to take pictures inside as well. The guy at the front said, take as many as we want so we can compare when the renovations are through.
Shernell ( — Google review
Informative museum on the first floor about the history of the my twin island home. Second floor has an exhibition of paintings sculptures by local artist. Even two by my late art teacher. But MORE professional curation is greatly needed. Some of the pieces seem dusty and deteriorating. Poor lighting and uninspired installations. The WITCO sports room has not been updated with latest Trinidad athletes, the pictures are yellowing out and fading. They seem to be in the same condition as when I first saw them 35 years ago. CURATION!

We thought it was more of an art gallery, but were pleasantly surprised at the mix of natural history (animals and plants), as well as cultural history (pre and post colonisation). Even more exciting was the pieces displayed by locals art in the run up to Carnival 2020. We enjoyed the visit and would definitely recommend.

Kam Wah is a delightful dining destination that promises an exceptional culinary experience. With its inviting atmosphere, adorned with soft background music, it creates the perfect setting for enjoying delicious meals. Guests rave about the flavorful lemon chicken, pepper fish, and wontons, alongside their fresh fruit punch that stands out from typical offerings. The spacious and well-lit hall welcomes diners warmly, making it an ideal spot even when bustling with patrons.
The food was delicious. The waiter was very friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for food although the restaurant was filled. The atmosphere was very beautiful and there was also very soft music in the background. This was my second time here however this time I tried new foods. I loved the lemon chicken, pepper fish, wantons and Singapore noddles. I also had the fruit punch which was very fresh and not the can/package ones other restaurants serve. I really enjoyed the experience and will visit again. The hot pepper sauce is also very delicious!!!! I was there with my family for dinner on a Saturday night.

Consistently delicious food with one of the best pepper sauce options you’ll find in Trinidad. Their chicken is also halal (although the restaurant also serves pork dishes). Dining in you’ll meet a large, well outfitted hall that’s spacious, well lit and welcoming. We started with wonton and chicken corn soups, ideal for a rainy week. The rest of food was ao good it didn’t make the photos!

I made detailed reservations for Kam wah for the 26 July at 8pm. 8 adults ,1 toddler that will need a high chair, this was done on the 26th July. Arrived at the restaurant on said reservation date , and I observed that the toddler chair wasn't there (small thing as I can always ask an assistant) as well as some fluid was by my seating area. Not sure what it could be juice or water, nevertheless I wanted it mopped since it was uncomfortable to be palancing in unknown fluids and I didn't want my jacket to accidentally to fall in it. I asked a waiter a bald head guy if he can attend to it.....he gave a very nonchalant response and never attended to the matter I Didn't make a deal as he wasn't the waiter for our table. When the waiter for our table came I told him about the high chair for my son and the fluids on the ground. It seemed like cleanliness and customer satisfaction is not a priority here....he came after about 3 to 4 reminders about the fluids on the floor with attitude and handed me hand towel tissue and gave me to clean up the mess ( at this point I was ready to go but it would have involved others to leave which would have been difficult) anyways that unprofessional moment past , my son was still being passed around on laps as he didn't have the high chair as yet. I reminded the waiter again...and his response was unbelievable. He told me , if you like you can go and get the high chair yourself. Such an unbelievably, rude, disrespectful and unprofessional rebuttal. The food was alright and then to have poor service was a total turn off for me. I am telling everyone in my circle about the poor service and onduct . They need to train or hire new staff to serve. Waiters can't be so rude to patrons who just wish to have a wonderful peaceful time probably only time in one's busy schedule to get some pampering....and then to go through this unprofessionalism with Kam wah. NEVER NEVER NEVER my family and I will visit Kam wah YOU GUYS SUCK BIG TIME

Spectacular views! This place is free to the public and perfect for a peaceful view of the city. The views are incredible. There is a long winding road uphill to get to the top. The place is a bit lonely so be alert. However it is so beautiful, perfect to have a picnic 🧺 and take pictures. The place is well maintained, there are of course old cannons and even a jail cell. I love walking around and exploring inside the jail and taking pictures by the cannons. There is very a toilet located on the property and parking. I highly recommend visiting here!

A haven for shoppers and explorers alike, it boasted an impressive selection of clothing, accessories, and body products like perfumes and lotions. Additionally, its cleanliness was commendable, especially in the well-maintained washroom facilities.
A beauty spot for Christmas. Lovely decorations throughout the entire mall with cute little spots for amazing pictures. A truly magical place during the Christmas season. There some really nice shops with some good prices. An overall must visit spot for those who love Christmas decorations and the Christmas spirit. There are also days with live entertainment and Santa's workshop for beautiful pictures with the family. A great stop for the season.

One of the oldest malls in Trinidad but well well-maintained and up-to-date facilities. Wide variety of stores as well as a food court. Prices are much higher here as compared to other malls as it's in the area where a lot of the wealthier population lives so I guess that's why the prices are higher. It's always clean and well-lit. Lots of parking as well. During the Christmas season, it's beautifully decorated, probably the best-decorated mall of them all. Even if you don't intend to purchase anything you should pass through and check it out.

The most popular mall in the west. This establishment is frequented daily by hundreds of people. With a variety of stores, Chuck E Cheese, banks, a neighboring grocery and ample parking, you can easily spend hours together with the family. Shopping here can be a bit on the pricey side.

I visited the mall on November 1st 2022. The mall was beautifully decorated, perfect for taking some Christmas pictures. The mall is great for shopping and browsing, especially for clothing, accessories and body products (perfumes, lotions, etc). There are also great food options and the washroom is very clean. It is much smaller than other Trinidad malls such as Gulf City or Trincity however it is worth the visit. Of course seeing the waterfalls inside is always a delight, especially for children. Good food options, beautiful atmosphere and good shopping experience.

We ordered the escargot, crab cake, duxelle pork, and the shrimp pasta - very good options, incredibly flavourful and reminiscent true French fusion. Let's start with the most annoying part. Parking can be very very difficult to find especially when it's busy. Other than that, the Mall is a good place to get food and it does have a wide variety of stores. It has about 4 levels but only 2 has major stores. From the highest floor the view of the Mall is nice. Has a food court with bathrooms nearby.

This mall has clothing, toy, shoe and sunglasses stores among others, together with a food court. There is a constant lack of parking despite the high number of car spots available. The food court has limited variety and the food may not be consistent in quality. This mall is a bit older and appears run down from the outside. On the inside it is clean, and air-conditioned. Whilst security is located on site they aren't usually visible. There have been reports of theft, shootings etc so be wary of your surroundings in the car park areas.

A very lovely park located in the capital city of Port of Spain. Memorial Park is a public city park in commemoration of the Trinidadian veterans that served in World War I and World War II. It is worth the time to visit and learn about those who served. Highly recommended to visit

I visited La Locanda Cucina Italiana during Trinidad and Tobago Restaurant Week. The server demonstrated exceptional customer service skills and was extremely attentive. My companion ordered the chicken main course, which did not meet their expectations, but they were graciously allowed to choose an alternative dish. However, the lobster risotto main course and basil panna cotta were absolutely delightful! Unfortunately, the salmon appetizer lacked a certain ingredient that would have enhanced its flavor.
Amazing food and very friendly staff make for an inviting atmosphere.

I went during Trinidad and Tobago Restuarant Week. The server displayed exceptional customer service skills and she was very attentive. My friend ordered the chicken main course and it was not up to standard so they kindly allowed her to choose something else. However, my lobster risotto main course and basil panna cotta were divine! I cannot say the same though for my salmon appetizer which was lacking an ingredient to give it a flavour boost.

Food was fantastic! Wait staff needs to be given a workshop on proper wine service. Pasta was served al Dente and Pizza was tasty, yet a bit too salty. Decor had very good taste.

The food was excellent, the Alla Provencal pasta was superb with the shrimp too numerous to count. My husband had the Alla Scoglio which wasn't creamy but tasty nonetheless with lots of shrimp, mussels, calamari and salmon. Was worth more than the price offered and the pierce de la resistance was the Nutella desert.

Le Moderne in Port of Spain is a charming restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. Visitors have praised the attentive customer service and the extensive menu, with particular highlights being the rack of lamb and afternoon tea. The ambiance is lovely, making it an ideal spot for various occasions, including romantic dinners or casual get-togethers. The staff are known for their friendliness and professionalism, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere of the restaurant.
Ordered their rack of lamb and was blown away. Customer service was also very good. Waitress was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about a menu that I had difficulty understanding. Will definitely be returning soon.

We had our office christmas lunch here in December 2016. The Food was mediocre at best. The service was terrible. Our party took up the entire interior with the exception of one small table which our party formed an L shape around. There was a sign outside that said the restaurant was closed for a luncheon. The owner or the waiters still allowed another group to sit in the one table left which we surrounded, what did that group have for lunch? Why they had the buffet that was paid for by my chambers. This could all be forgiven, the sub-par food, the shameless attempt by the owner to be a smart-man and squeeze an extra dollar at our expense, but the service could not be forgiven. There were about 3 waitresses in the restaurant that day, they all hid in the back and we had to call them EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. to serve us, it didn't matter if it was drinks or even appetizers (which we had already paid for). When they finally brought out the buffet the food was luke-warm. The owner was aware of our office party in advance but it took them almost an hour to bring out the buffet while we waited and got drinks. I forgot to mention that we were served a lovely soup as part of our appetizer. When i wrote a justifiable review on the restaurant's facebook page I was contacted by the irate owner who chastised me for complaining because the soup was 'complimentary' from the chef. When the owner called me on our office line she proceeded to justify the abhorrent service by saying that we REQUESTED to be left waiting for an hour before we got our main meal. This place's service is horrible, the attitude of the owner is abhorrent and the quality of food is NOT restaurant standard. Do NOT be fooled by its location, it is not worth the price.

Woodford Square, formerly known as Brunswick Square, holds a significant place in the history of Trinidad and Tobago. Nice open place to relax. At times you may have to clean the seats since it can have bird droppings as there are a lot of big trees around. It is surrounded by a few clothing and accessory stores and more. Miguel Moses, UA investments clothing store, the Old Public Library (beautiful building I believe it still isn't open to the public yet), Hall of Justice, the Red House, the Old port of Spain Fire Station (diagonally opposite) and the Cathedral.

Walking back from the savannah has to pass by the Red house and ended up on Woodford square. Loads of benches to sit on. Sadly the fountain was not working. Paid toilets were available. A few homeless people about. So many sites to admire. From the church, the Red house, the hall of justice and the library. Chilled out here as I enjoyed a cold drink. Cool place to chill out.

Well maintained beautiful park, very scenic especially when the poui trees are blossoming. Very relaxing to just sit and enjoy that refreshing bit of nature in the concrete jungle. Surrounded by historic and important building such as The Red House, The Holy Trinity Cathedral. Just one of the signs could do with a face lift but the history and information is all there. Hopefully it's maintenance continues so we can appreciate its beauty.

The theather was really clean. I went for a lunchtime/ afternoon movie and there wasn't a crowd. The usual places were open for eats and drinks inside. There was also a photo booth and a game area. It was a nice and safe experience by myself. Really enjoyable during the morning to early afternoon hours if you just want to relax and enjoy the movie in peace without a crowd. Tickets are usually cheaper these hours as well. Usually from afternoon into the night there is a crowd. A lot of businesses are around the theater. A play park, many restaurants, clothing and book stores as well. Courtyard hotel Marriott is right next door and the Jean Pierre Complex is located across the road.

Great food, excellent portions , really nice customer service, Lynn was our server who was very nice. However, waiting period for order to be taken and for food to be served was rly long , maybe more staff should be hired to cover the vast amt of guests attending. The music was also too loud that she at times could not hear our order nor could we hear ourselves while talking. ..... but really nice experience still.

This was a horrible experience. This was restaurant week. It was a party of 6. My wife attempted to book a table and was told no reservations till after 10pm, yet when we arrived we were asked if we had reservations and many people were seated while we waited for over 45 minutes before we could be seated. We had a break from the disaster and the appetisers were very good. It then went down hill again. The mains were brought before the table was cleared from the utensils used in the appetisers. One of the mains was totally forgotten and my wife asked for medium done but got raw steak. It then took about 30 minutes before the forgotten main came, then the redone steak came another 15 minutes after. My fish was fresh and one would normally be given a lemon slice to squeeze as an option over seafood (good luck with that). By this time, all we could do is pack it away to take it home. I had asked for a Coca-Cola to mix with a rather strong long island tea. It took over 30 minutes to arrive. By this time the drink was already consumed as the ice had melted and weakened the drink. When the forgotten main came we asked for the bill. We wanted for about 1.5hrs from then till we eventually left the table and had to ask by the reception desk to pay in order to leave. I'm not sure what is the standard of this organisation nor if they were just having a bad night but I will not be returning to find out. As a visiting foreign national, I was hugely disappointed with this experience as I would boast about the food flavours of my beautiful Trinidad and Tobago.

It is a very clean and welcoming eating establishment. The service was quite wonderful, waitresses were patient and always asking if we're okay. My one thing is that it's a bit slow and the chicken tenders aren't great, my friend had gotten them with his half rack of rib. Now the half rack of ribs alone... Made me enjoy this restaurant. My family had a good time so we will go back but it would be nice to receive more friendly service.

Food was decent, came up a bit more than i usually pay for same quality limes but location was more convenient at the time. Took a while to get service at the bar area as the waitresses and bartender kept moving around and ignoring those there till u got up and found them. After placing the order though got the food pretty quickly. Ambience was relaxed for good conversation.

Tonight they got 3 stars. We had to wait rather long for our order and when it did arrive, it was cold before you could finish it. The mushrooms had no onions, not even garlic. It had no taste and the vegetable medley took forever to arrive. We end up cancelling the order. All and all the server was pleasant and so was the manager. We end up not having to pay for the sides. That didn't make up for a disappointing night but at least they tried. So three (3) 🌟 for effort.

With panoramic vistas of the Gulf, guests can witness innovation and artistry at the chefs table in the open kitchen. This eatery is located within the Hyatt hotel and offers delectable sushi that surpasses expectations. The service is excellent and the ambiance exudes beauty.
I had sushi 🍣 🍱at the waterfront restaurant which is located within the Hyatt hotel. It was very delicious. The service was very good and the atmosphere was extremely beautiful. You can choose to either dine in at the restaurant or dine outside with a view of the ocean front. The sushi portion was smaller than usual but the taste was simply delicious. I also had a salmon bowl which was also mouth watering. I would definitely visit again on a special occasion.

It was my family's first time at the Waterfront restaurant. We did the buffet breakfast for my birthday. Firstly, no one greeted us. We waited at the welcome desk for approximately 20 minutes at the entrance before being acknowledged by someone. Everyone just kept walking by us and never told us we were standing at the wrong place. I had to go to the front desk to ask for assistance, only to be re-directed to another desk. The customer service was a little better after we were seated. Our waitress came several times to check on us which was nice. There was a variety of items at the buffet, but the taste was bland for many things we tried and very basic. We were seated indoors. There was a nice view through the glass. I have visited many hotels and tasted from many buffets and I think was just super basic. Everyone's opinion will vary. This was based on our visit on a Saturday morning.

Food at the 3 restaurants inside the Hyatt is just OK, overpriced, small portions, and it takes a long time to get your food. Be prepared because a quick bite is not possible. Sushi was the fastest, but the size of the rolls is like half the size a normal roll in any sushi restaurant. A lot of servers, but they serve to a wide area and sometimes they are just out of sight. The atmosphere is very good either inside with a/c, or outside in the heat with the mosquitoes, and dark seaside view. Maybe this is why people like to come here. The place is packed at night, and specially on weekends.

Had breakfast here and it was a good experience. If you want the buffet breakfast, make sure and arrive early. Ports were good and well expect to pay hotel prices. If you are sitting outside during the day, it can get hot very quickly and then there may be sounds of the boats passing and docking nearby once you don't mind that. If you are not a fan of heat, dine in inside.

As far as souvenir shops go it is good for a quick impromptu purchase. Interesting prices, not particularly impressed with the variety but you cannot leave without a purchase. Almost like it is a written rule they have.

Close to port, helpful staff, and reasonable prices make this a good place to visit. We were able to find the location easily, but the area is congested if you are driving. There are car park lots for pay (we paid $10 TT, about $2 US for an hour) and some street parking. Be sure to check street signs so the wrecker doesn't take your car. Major credit cards are accepted and they have a wide variety of items from magnets, pens, and clothing to handmade jewelry and statues to decorate the home. We noticed that some shirts there seemed old, especially towards the back of the store.

Excellent professional service as usual. Availability of parking and office space (2nd floor, above Simple Spaces) has increased to the convenience of customers. This new location is quite welcoming. Would highly recommend.

I am very satisfied with the quality of work and level of professionalism displayed by this company. From measurement to installation, it was excellent service. They even came at the precise time that they said they would come to install, which is rare in Trinidad. I want to particularly mention Shalini whose professionalism helped me to accomplish my project smoothly...best customer service ever.

Conveniently located on Mucarapo road (with parking Hallelujah). Knowledgeable and consistently pleasant throughout all interactions. The selection of wallpaper is very wide, but the process to narrow down likes/preference is effective. I ended up with a pretty unique wallpaper for a unique application (bathroom). Definitely recommend 1000 times
