Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Port of Spain

It's been too long overdue since I was meant to write this so here goes. Buzo has never actually let me down. It is the one Italian restaurant in Trinidad that culminates both strong and subtle flavors. When I lived in Trinidad it would be a once a month minimum takeout or go to restaurant as their mushroom pastas, pizzas in addition to even their steak was always exceptionally crafted and delicious. Highly recommend trying the Vigna pizza which cheerfully balances the blue cheese flavor profile with grape and their original Buzo pizza as well. Can't wait to visit again!

Went for my mother’s birthday. My parents and fiancé had the steak and it was the best steak they’ve had locally. I myself am vegetarian and had the tempura portobello mushrooms which were amazing and the ravioli which was so rich. Our waitress was most accommodating, friendly and service on point. The infrastructure itself is modern/rustic and so beautiful.

Buzo is fine dining. The staff is so polite and well-trained. The food is delicious. However, no matter how many dishes I try, my favorite is the Buzo pizza. Im not sure if its their signature dish, but WOW. It's a flat dough pizza without tomato paste, yet smothered in goat cheese and argula leaves. I can eat the whole thing. Lol. The staff actually listens to your needs and can cater to fussy teenagers. One of mine wanted Chicken Alfredo, which was not on the menu, and the chef prepared it. That's great service. I will definitely go back. And I recommend Buzo to everyone who wants a great food experience. Ohhhhh I forgot their desserts. We tried Gelato and affogato. Decadent 🍧🍨🍦🍦

Had my birthday dinner at this restaurant on Saturday night. The food was good, but not amazing. Beautiful ambiance, very friendly and engaging staff.

Above expectations! Went for my birthday. The menu was not pages long but very complete for any preference in Italian food or meats/steaks. Pricing was a bit on the high side especially for steaks. But note the food tastes great. Having eaten at lots of Italian restaurants globally this is top 10 category so hence you get what you pay for. There’s roadside parking plus their own parking lot a few doors down. There’s security at the lot and also among the street for your safety. Big plus on this. The service was not exceptional though. 1 waiter was excellent while another was seemingly forced to be tolerant to us. Lots of waiters and waitresses so you can call on anyone, not just the initial one. Asked where the bathroom was and was guided directly to it. The decor and atmosphere is perfect. Not overdone but elegant and well thought out. Someone had a 2 or 3 year old there and not a peep from the kid. Attentive parents though. Must go for the food, ambience and an overall great experience!

This is one hell of a great great experience. You will not regret your time going there! From the moment that you walk in, you are greeted in a personal, friendly, warm, welcoming manner by the hostess and wait-staff. I was politely guided to my table and the menu provided for me, within a few minutes later I was attended to by my server who asked what I would like to drink and brought me back a drink with Jack Daniels honey that tasted so good I already did not mind spending the money that I knew I was going to spend yet to come. After a few sips, our server returned and asked if we were ready to order our dishes. He was very, very helpful in his suggestion and showed that he understood the menu and had great experience that could be relied upon coming to any new food establishment. When our dishes arrived I was so satisfied with the visual aspect of it that I already felt anticipation building for the taste, and what great wonderful Symphony of taste it was (view pictures). I have absolutely only good review and praise for the preparation of the of the two dishes the taste and textures were Worthy of absolutely every Star that I can give them and I promised myself that I (we) will be back to try yet even more dishes at Buzo. Upscale sports bar with a great atmosphere. It doubles as a cool dining spot if your looking for a tasty range of food as well. Reservations are always best, but they've always accommodated the "spur-of-moment" diner like myself, a few times. Notwithstanding the excellent taste, the food is a little pricey. I just wish they would play some Caribbean music, and that would make them the "near best" restaurant. It doesn't have to be so heavily skewed to foreign music. We have good music, too.

Great place to have a very nice burger in Port of Spain. And the location is also very convenient. Staff was very friendly, although service can take some time. I'm definitely going back!

I was looking for a good sports bar in Port of Spain to watch the Leverkusen vs. Munich match, and a friend recommended Trotters in the city center. It did not disappoint! The main giant screen was showing Liverpool vs. PSG, but all other matches were available on smaller screens strategically placed around the circular interior. The atmosphere was lively, perfect for game night. The pub food was solid, with standout starters—especially the shark bites, which were excellent. Definitely planning to return today for another match! Highly recommended for sports fans. ⚽🍻

My friends and I came here for a birthday lunch. We were the only persons in the restaurant yet the service was slow. The staff also needs to be more knowledgeable of their own menu - our waiter could not answer our questions without confusion. The lighting in the restaurant is extremely low and dim, making the atmosphere univiting rather than cozy / intimate. Two of us ordered a la carte while another person ordered from the prix fixe menu. The prix fixe menu was great value for money. Everything we ordered tasted great but the pizza was a little burnt on the bottom. Overall, the food is really good but service and atmosphere can be better. Side note - they are one of the few restaurants in Trinidad that don't give you anything for a birthday celebration

Great food as usual... but dinner is available only from 6pm---they made every effort to facilitate us, though!

To say that this was a wonderful experience would be a gross understatement. Marvin, the restaurant manager was exceptionally professional, warm and truly charming. My affinity for their crockery resulted in a fabulous take home experience (wink wink). Keshon was a breath of fresh air. The ambience is so inviting and the food display is amazing. Who knew salads could look so enticing?!😩 The staff was very friendly & welcoming, and super helpful with suggestions especially as it was my 1st time. The experience was truly a pleasant one, so I'll definitely be back. I ordered Cornbread, Asian sticky ribs, Roasted butter corn and the Bacon mac & cheese. Delicious!👌🏾

A truly personalized and cozy experience. The food isn’t as pricey as others claimed but it’s definitely delicious. I like how they artfully prepared the dishes. Tastebuds were overwhelmed.

I love the set up and efficient service here. The salmon was perfectly done. The presentation (as you can see) is was very good. Staff was courteous and attentive.

The food is always delicious, service is exceptional. The market place always has some tasty bites be sure to try out the pizzas and fried chicken sandwich. The truffle pasta salad is the half eaten pasta as pictured it is really yummy but the price has raised lately. The mushroom pizza is always nice and there are frozen versions you can buy to reheat at home.

Normally Monday's are hard to find somewhere to celebrate a birthday as most places are closed. So it was a blessing that they were open and ready. Opening on a Monday also means that there weren't a lot of people, so we probably got a more personalized experience with little to no delays. We weren't sure of what to expect so we got the servers recommendations. I had the lamb and my birthday date had the pork chop. The lamb was cooked perfectly medium-well as I requested, the veggies were cooked yet crunchy and the mash was creamy and smooth. Tamarind wine sauce was just succulent. My date loved the pork chop, it was fully cooked and juicy. She wasn't a fan of the large cut veggies, but she loved the roasted cassava and whatever white sauce they added. We weren't in a alcohol mood so we got 2 virgin passion fruit & lychee mojitos. They were sweet and tangy. We still had some room after dinner so we got the house recommended dessert, passion fruit cheesecake with berries. We were amazed at how delicious this was and loved it. All in all, I will definitely be back for a full dinner course sometime soon.

The experience was a letdown from start to finish. This spot sits on a lively strip with plenty of solid options, and we chose it because it looked slightly less busy, which turned out to be the warning we missed. Staff were curt and disengaged, bordering on rude, and service felt like an afterthought. Four cocktails took more than 40 minutes to arrive. When they finally showed up, they came in plastic cups because last call was announced after we had already ordered. The drinks were mediocre and overpriced. The bill arrived long before the cocktails. The bar was far from full, there were plenty of staff standing around, and the level of attention would be unacceptable even at a fast-food counter. Save your time and money and pick literally anywhere else on this strip; this place has earned a hard pass. TL;DR: Overpriced, mediocre drinks, dismal service. Choose another venue on the strip.

I went with a party of 12 for their pre fixe Christmas dinner. Service was great, waiters and waitresses were kind, could be a little more attentive in some instances. The alcoholic drinks were good, but one person ordered the passion fruit juice and it tasted like flavoured water. The sorrel spritzer that came with the menu, also was also water down. Couldn’t taste the sorrel nor the alcohol that was in it, too much ice. The food was okay, to start I had the salad which tasted great with the candied dates and walnuts but the other appetizers like the chicken liver pate - did not taste anything like liver and the green pea lentil soup - was too thick and a bit cold when served. The main that I had was the brown sugar glazed ham and potatoes au gratin with vegetables. Ham and potatoes were perfect but the veggies were very undercooked, including the zucchini, broccolini and peppers - maybe this was the idea for it but it didn’t pair well with the other items on the plate. Dessert was as expected, perfect end of the dinner. I got the chocolate mousse with buttercream. (I think it was butter scotch? I can’t remember) I also had an amaretto sour which was mixed well, drank that throughout my meal. 8/10 recommend for the Christmas menu, cannot comment on their regular menu items.

Talk about up to the times with the decor! Chaud Cafe had the scene set for the holiday with themed drinks and menu items to match. Even the washrooms, pristine and ckassy, were a vibe. Staff were so eager to please there were a few crossed lines but ultimately sorted quickly. We weren't able to enjoy the wide outside deck but they even maneuvered the inside space, made cosy due to rainy weather and a healthy number of diners. I loved that the menu was full of Caribbean flavours and favs and dishes did not take forever to arrive. A lottle pricy but altogether a lovely experience.

The food at Chaud is always amazing, and the portion sizes are more than adequate. I would highly recommend the pasta as well as the wings, which paired superbly with the blue cheese. There is also a decent drinks selection. However, desserts are a bit limited.

Celebrated my friends bday here. Our entrees were plentiful & delicious. A few times, we had to get the attention of the wait staff or make a request for the same thing more than once. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.

Friendly (but slow) service and good ambience. However, almost everyone's food arrived cold and everything tasted average. The chocolate cake is supposed to be excellent, but it wasn't available that day.

Found my go-to sports bar in Port of Spain! Had a fantastic time watching the Atlético vs. Real match here yesterday. The chicken strips were excellent—homemade and full of flavor! Plus, the happy hour from 4:00 to 7:00 PM is perfect for catching football matches with a great drink deal. Top-notch service and an awesome atmosphere. I'll definitely be back next week for more games! ⚽🍻

The energy at Island beer last night was excellent, along with the service. The cocktails were tasty, presentations were beautiful, and the waitress was quite knowledgeable on each of the offerings and able to answer all our questions without hesitation. The food, however, was a challenge. The wait time for food was extraordinarily long and left more to be desired, which i can only sum up to an off night as I've dined before, and the food tasted much better. Tonight was also quite busy and may have also been a contributing factor. The waitress apologized throughout, checked in, and even provided complimentary shots to compensate for the experience. Highly appreciated.

I had the bbq combo. It was good but the chicken needed to be cooked a little more. A bit on the pricey side for a box of BBQ.

This has become one of my favorite spots when I visit Trinidad. Food is consistent and great and the drinks exceptional. It's a really good spot to watch sports too. I ate the creamy chicken there and I ordered rolls from the Samurai place next door which was exceptional as well.

This place is vibes. Just a fair warning though, the music on the outside is very loud. However, indoor seating provides for a better experience to have a conversation. I visited to have a few beers with my partner and we had a blast. We sat by the bar, the bartender were very attentive and answered all our questions about the foreign beers. We would definitely visit again.

Really nice place with a big screen showing sports. I had a delicious house salad with grilled chicken that looked amazing as well. The bar staff was attentive and not too invasive. They let me sample the wine before deciding if I want to drink it, which was a very nice touch. I will definitely be back to try more food! Oh, and soca was playing from the speaker at just the right volume, creating a nice vibe but still allowing people inside to have conversations.

Great vibes, strong drinks, good food, and friendly service! Awesome spot to grab drinks and smoke some shisha. I smoke a lot of shisha back home and the quality and standards are on point here! They have a huge list of shots and cocktails along with a big menu. We didn't try too much of the food but what we had was tasty and prepared well! Definitely recommend as a great spot to pre drink, grab some drinks and food, or just smoke some shisha!

The most wonderful moment I experienced in this place was the great atmosphere and scenery created. Gives you a euphoric sensation before having the food. It’s almost like a home. The food was really wonderful and very tasty. I was yearning to try a creole cuisine and this was definitely the right place. I had the oxtail dish together with some rice. The coconut bread which was brought as a starter was remarkably good; fresh bread. The service was great. The waitress who served me was good. Also there was an old lady who seemed to be running things there, she was very amiable and pleasant to talk with. If you are a visitor and you want to explore local Trinidad food, this is the right place. I would like to thank the owner of Veni Mange for creating this wonderful place to dine, it will forever be nostalgic to me.

We had a wonderful time here! One of the highlights of our trip. Dale and the staff were very welcoming and the food was phenomenal. Make sure you try the oxtail and the pig feet!

Haven't been here? What are you waiting for! This is single handedly the only local restaurant worth going to get that authentic Trinidadian food, everything else is mainly street food In Port of Spain.

I read so many good things about the place, but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations after having read all those reviews. Food is basic, a little bland. The corn soup tasted more like yams soup. Poeple were very friendly and happy to help.

This must be my 3rd or 4th visit to this beautiful established restaurant on Ariapita Avenue the hub of the nightlife of Port of Spain ☺️ The food is always delicious and plentiful 😋and that's what makes it a staple, stable, inviting place in the country. The decor is beautiful ❤️ with original paintings from local artists adorning the walls.👏💪☺️

Great creole food. "Sweet hand" cooks in the local parlance. Folksy experience. Bucolic experience in the middle of town. Owner- operator is lovely and goes out of her way to accommodate you. Sit and watch or order to go. Generous portions!

This is great restaurant with exzotic dishes love the taste and the presentation of the dishes. Why I give a (4) star rating because the order took to long to reach our table, beyond that great service and top of the line staff servicing to customer. Pricing of the food is very reasonable and I will be visiting this place often. It is definitely a place you want to visit once you in port of Spain.

We were running late for our reservation, but the hostess was very accommodating. The restaurant is tucked away long the savannah, so you're not bothered by passing traffic. The food was delish and more than enough. It may have been a slow night but the wait staff was very present, one of the owners even came to our table to check on the service and suggest wine pairing. While on the pricey side, its well worth it!

Good ambience with nice Indian food

Food is good but the night I went with my wife the service was slow and the guy messed up my order. Hopefully they will improve as it has a nice ambiance but you might be better off going downstairs to Aspara.

I'm from Thailand and I can say this place serves authentic Thai food! Beautiful Thai style interior. Food is decent. I had shrimp pad thai which is so yummy, good quality ingredients, fresh and BIG shrimps! Also highly recommend Breaded shrimp.

Food here was great! Came here every morning to get breakfast. We tried the bake and saltfish, bake and eggs, bake and smoked herring, corn soup, and their fresh juices. It’s also a quick walk from the Hyatt.

If you are a tourist staying at the Hyatt or one of the near by hotels (as I was..) do yourself a favor by skipping the overpriced buffet breakfast and heading over here for a taste of the local cuisine. Salted fish Oxtail stew Traditional sandwich in friend dough

The best local breakfast I get is at the Breakfast Shed. They make the bake on the spot along with the roti. The food is delicious and authentic. I highly recommend.

Went for breakfast on a Sunday. Only two of the vendors were open. But it was good food, local breakfast options, and a nice scenic view.

Just Had Lunch from Tants Gourmet. Excellent Price for portion and flavors to make you want to ask for secret ingredients. Stop in and have a great experience. Lunch is nice on the waterfront!

Silky, supple rotis; dhalpuri and paratha. A range of curried meats and vegetables. All delicious. Prompt pay first service. A roti shop with buffet type offerings allow you to see your food being speedily assembled. Linx and cash accepted.

Pat Raj roti shop on Tragarette road is the place i will go for my roti in Port Of Spain, the place is clean staff friendly and the roti is tasty, one thing tho, I keep forgetting to ask them if they put pepper in their dhalpuri, when I say no pepperr still get a little spicy taste?,

The food is decent...some days better than others. Don't like when the servers touch my roti with there bare hands. Why can't they wear plastic gloves and not touch other surfaces before touching my roti?? Why do they keep the roti under the counter. Why not keep it out in the open where people can see what's going on? The place has a dark dungeon like feel. Add more lights and brighter colors please. Finally, as beautiful as the cashier is, why does she feel the need to match that with equal levels of unfriendlyness??? She does not respond to hellos nor good afternoons. No smile. She just there to take your money and move you along. As the face of the business, she needs to do better.

If you're looking for that authentic village parlor experience then look no further. Despite the decor and layout being a bit more modern than the average roti shop, they've managed to recapture the authenticity of a rustic roti shop. Unfortunately I prefer a nicer customer service experience than the one provided which is half the reason my rating is so low.. The food was once the best roti in the area but recently the quality has slipped down a few notches, though they are still way better than Hot Shoppe. I look forward to Patraj Roti shop returning to its former glory someday...

I had a goat roti with paratha and pumpkin and bhagi (spinach). Absolutely tasteless. Inside has a gloomy dark feel which isn't very inviting and staff isn't particularly welcoming. The paratha was chunk as well and not very soft.

Doubles and pies are good. Quick service; they are there promptly at 6:30 a.m.

Not a doubles connoisseur but George is consistent and his doubles taste good. Located on Carlos Street outside Brooklyn Bar, they are usually there Saturday to Saturday in the mornings, sometimes up until 9.30AM or even 10. A nice clean set up, he's got the usual doubles offering a bara with Channa and basic additions like pepper, a tamarind sweet sauce and a cucumber slaw. Drinks are available as well.

Guys are helpful and willing to cater to your choices. Lamb gyros are a little oilier but tastes great. Prefer the chicken myself. If you want you can ask for just the meat alone.

2 of the workers were rude when they didn't get my order right, and the cashier could care less. The gyro was cooked with ketchup, sweet and I could not taste the meat Too many other Gyro vendors out there to have to put up with rude people I won't be buying there again

So let me first start with the fact that I’m somewhat of a shawarma connoisseur. Gyro is traditionally made with pork so this is definitely not gyro but more of a shawarma. Also it’s pronounced gheero but much softer. Not jyro anyway… let me first start with the fact that there’s a huge limit on fresh ingredients. I was gonna get the specialty wrap until I saw the canned mushroom and canned pineapple. You can tell they are canned cause they look dead. In a country that has pineapples left right and centre I don’t understand why they don’t use fresh. The “lamb” doesn’t actually taste very lambish. Cause you will know if you are eating lamb. Lamb tastes like a pasture. The chicken was meh. What made it edible was was the pepper sauce they put. Whoever gave them idea was genius cause it appeals to the local pallet and still allows this place to sell less than MID food. I also ordered a salad and the only dressing was garlic sauce?????!??? So the same garlic sauce that goes on the wraps goes on the salad?? Which also don’t taste like garlic either. I’m annoyed that I picked this place cause of the reviews and cause I was hungry. But definitely never again. I know my wraps and this one was definitely mid food masked and marketed as “good street food”. Never again.

the worst, paid 80$ for a loaded box and got a sliver of meat and a ton of potatoes. You're much better off going to the place opposite over the road.

So I'm a little torn about this review because the food was clean, fresh and the portions are very generous. I had the shrimp gyro which was huge with quite a few jumbo shrimp included. I was impressed with the quality of ingredients but my gyro had NO flavor. The bread didn't taste like pita bread, it was very thin and not at all sturdy enough for the filling so it fell apart and all my ingredients ended up at the bottom of the thin plastic bag that it was served in. Price point was also decent for the amount of food received.

Trinidad chicken roti is a cultural and culinary asset and this place does it right. Roti is skinny, thin type as they advertise (but I prefer the thicker roti) and it is an interesting, behind the bars, take away.

Food was good. And the quantity as well. My only complaint was there was no signage about add ons, like other places eg pumpkin, bodi, mango. So I did not get a full spread. Place does seem busy and well liked.

Always my choice for a quick and tasty Trini Indian meal in Port of Spain and environs. Their small or large lunch boxes are great for portion and budget control. The food is tasty without being overly spicy and there’s additional pepper sauce if you’d like more. Their cashless transaction needs some work, many times i’ve gone and the machine wasnt working so I’d advise to take cash.

While the food is good, its a take-away roti shop, so its really all about getting in and out. Don't expect any ambience. Update: The prices have risen significantly to the point of whether it is good value for money, especially since it is a take out place. Wait times are long and it is extremely difficult to get them on phone.

Ordered a spinach fish wrap, and seasoned fries it was superb! It was delivered via food drop and everything was hot and ready. Would definitely order regularly.

Pretty decent burritos had ones yesterday was tasty but I had one last week and the tomatoes were tasting spoilt like they reused so , eating here is a hit and miss sometimes but overall pretty decent

Been going here for years. The quality has dropped significantly last couple times I've been. It has become really overpriced and they always don't have something. The staff were also very rude and not pleasant at all, its like they recruiting in pennywise and I think other people have caught on as well it was empty last time I went and it was lunchtime. Finally decided I won't be returning.

I have only just decided to try Wrap Works and visited the Chaguanas location twice. The first occasion the service was good and the food quite tasty. On my second visit, I was very impressed with the service I received. The girl behind the counter saw that the foil got messy after she rolled the wrap and immediately replaced it with a clean one. She also was good enough to offer me a complimentary drink because I had been waiting a while. I really was very impressed with the service and the food was great. It is things like this that encourages repeat customers and people spread the word of good places. And bonus, the food is healthy. I will definitely be visiting again! Please keep up the good work and excellent service.

Servers give you whatever they want, i bought an 8 piece combo Tuesday and the server gave me 8 thighs 3 legs and 1 wing the funny thing is when she was packing my box they have a tendency to hide what they're putting in the box for you, i doubt that she'd done me something like that, that's why you does have to check your box first to see what they put in it for you, and you have to open up your mouth and make noise for you to get proper service, and i dont like to argue over food , its like they cutting the breasts in half and selling you for the same price the customer service is bad, imagine buying 8,10 or 12 piece combo and its only leg and thing wings and 1 breast its not right that persons spending their $$$ and not getting value for their dollar

Busy but efficient! The staff handles the crowd well, and the food is hot and fresh more often than not. Seating can be limited during peak hours, but it’s a solid go-to spot for a quick bite in town. Classic KFC flavour still hits the spot.

This branch of KFC is always packed. The line is often really long. If you’re in a rush, the food is not all that fast. Also, it’s really difficult to get a seat here.

My go to meal when I'm out... love the coleslaw with thigh and fries

Poor customer service, bad food handling, after being handled by kitchen staff who handles chicken, that is notorious for carrying salmonella, counter staff be it the cashier who's been handling money, takes you order of coleslaw or mashed potatoes and simply put it in resting on your fries and chicken , possibly contaminating your meal, poor response by management when lodging a complaint.

The Central Market is always a yibe. That might sound strange but seeing the vendors interact with their customers from all walks of life is a joy. Great produce as well, prices at this time are pretty decent and I hope that continues.

Stay alert in the open air section where some folks drive thru and buy from their cars.

Went to Joe's for the first time Saturday night with my friends and had a great time. The atmosphere was soothing and my server Dominique was very pleasant and patient will definitely be back again.

The best pizza, salad, pasta, garlic bread, cheesy garlic bread sticks, delivery and customer service on point!

The pizza was amazing I bought a 8 slice added some ketchup and pepper and I was in heaven. There is not plenty of parking about 5 car space. The wait can be a little long but the pizza is worth the wait, it wasn't too thin and not too thick. The take out area is a reasonable size with many different types of drinks even beers.

Love the pizza.. very traditional Trini vibe. Kid friendly.

Friendly and professional staff good food and relaxing atmosphere

Not a super wide selection of dishes but they're enough to satisfy everyone's preferences. Generally the cost of most of the items are reasonable enough. However, there are a few items that can be priced a bit less. The online ordering process is quick and the food is always available for pick-up at the time provided on the notification. A few parking spots easily available in front the building. One of the negatives though is that because the establishment is directly on the Diego Martin Main Road, reversing out on the main road to leave is sometimes a challenge depending on the time of the day.

Sushi is amazing but this review is specifically related to breakfast omelet chef! ... Z is bar none the BEST at her craft! ... I had the pleasure of spending 2 weeks enjoying her amazing omelets and if you play your cards right she will enlighten you to secret omelet that will have you hooked! ... Not only is she amazing at what she does, but she is equally special in her engagement and conversations. She truly cares and wants connect with each every guest all while cooking 4-6 omelets at a time! ... you have to witness this for yourself!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Trinidad. We stopped at Hyatt's Lobby Bar /Sushi Bar. There was a combination of a lively atmosphere, okay service, and delicious food. The Lobby Bar at the Hyatt Trinidad is a vibrant and stylish space that exudes a modern yet cozy ambiance. The décor is chic and contemporary, with comfortable seating arrangements that encourage socializing and relaxation. The bar area itself is well-stocked with an impressive selection of spirits, wines, and craft cocktails, ensuring there's something to satisfy every palate. The service at the Lobby Bar was lacking on this occasion. The staff members on entering were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the drinks menu. However after being seated were waiting for several minutes before we were offered a menu. There were no recommendations made and the staff member didn't appear confident in his knowledge of the food available. However, the bartenders were skilled in their craft, creating beautifully presented and perfectly balanced cocktails that were both visually appealing and delicious. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Sushi Bar at the Hyatt Trinidad. The sushi chefs showcased their expertise and creativity in crafting a variety of sushi rolls and sashimi dishes. The freshness and quality of the ingredients were evident in every bite. The sushi rolls were beautifully presented, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The menu offered a wide range of options, including both traditional favorites and innovative fusion creations, catering to diverse tastes. However, for those with a shellfish/ crustaceans will struggle to find any suitable platter. There was no flexibility to allow for any allergies if requesting a platter. On this night there was no live music, however the comfortable seating, and elegant surroundings created a relaxing and enjoyable environment. Whether you're looking for a place to unwind after a long day or to socialize with friends, the ambiance of the Lobby Bar is sure to meet your expectations. One minor aspect to note is that due to the popularity of the bar, it can get quite busy during peak hours. Overall, my experience at the Hyatt Trinidad Lobby Bar and Sushi Bar was okay. Whether you're a sushi lover or simply enjoy a well-crafted cocktail, I recommend paying a visit to this establishment. Perhaps you'll catch them on a better day.

Good and tasty sushi. I’d highly recommend Hyatt to look into their sushi menu. The words crab and crab sticks are not used accurately. I checked before ordering my dish and was assured it’s fresh but unfortunately it was crab sticks which are not real. In any case, it was tasty but you feel leaving disappointed. More so when they don’t acknowledge or do anything about it.

Had a birthday dinner here and the sushi is great...many options to choose and you can order from the restaurant menu also.....staff is very friendly and always there to answer or attend to your needs.After dinner take a stroll on the broad walk.. they won't mind and certain events to keep the kids busy.Menu has many options for any age...

Posting this review on behalf of my internationally located colleague after spending time with her as we frustratedly tried to get help from the staff to retrieve the bill from the restaurant. As a local, I didn't expect that the Point of Sale tech would be so archaic. My colleague needed her recept itemized since it was part of business expense which needed to be submitted for company approval. We were repeatedly asked to give as much info for them to get it from the system. She event listed exact food, time she sat and time she paid, location of her dinner seating, number of persons in her party but apparently that wasn't enough. One common thing was how busy they were so we were being patient and the staff asked " describe our server". Honestly at that point we felt hopeless because her flight was soon and how can we magically remember details to that extent. Miracles do happen but sometimes not 100% because she got the server name too from another attendee who kept his recipient. But sadly as midnight flight is being boarded, my colleague leaves without the receipt, to face a confusing explanation to her boss why her hotel's affiliated restaurant couldn't find her bill to give a copy. I wish her luck and just for other business visitors, please don't expect easy access if you forgot to get that itemized receipt post -drinks lime.

Excellent service with above standard fare seating featuring very tasty "Trini-styled" Chinese food including some special chef's options which are more "traditional" Chinese cuisine, not usually offered at these types of local or neighbourhood Chinese fast food outlets.

It's a great spot for consistent Chinese dishes. Only one table so it's best to take your food to go!

This was hands down the worst Chinese food I’ve ever purchased in my entire life. Waste of close to 300 dollars.. the lady taking the order was so rude and impatient.. the service was slow. The food..... horrible.. tasteless... bland.. no one in my family finished eating it.. had to go to the dogs... the shrimp smelled strange and the pepper squid was a box filled with crisps and veggies with tiny bits of squid here and there... Very regrettable experience.

Sada slices are way too small and expensive, if you eat one you are sure to feel hungry, you'll have to end up spending double money for two breakfasts instead of one.

Roti here is exceptional! Service is great! Just that the place is a little run-down. Restaurant needs a serious face lift. Way overdue! Ambience is on zero percent! Lolz... But I always ignore that fact because of the great food... As does everyone else I guess. 🤷

Go early and make sure and try the soup at least once. Best lunch spot in town.

Food is reasonable. U can choose from an assortment of morsels, from different kinds of soups, to roti, creole dishes and curry. There is seating accommodation available inside. Venue is also air conditioned. There is also a bar area next door, quite discreet and appears to be family run.

Good location to grab a tasty, affordable, creole meal. Breakfast offers the most variety: smoked herring, saltfish buljol, eggs with cheese or sausage or plain scrambled, thick slices of ham, plantains, spinach, pumpkin, fried alloo, bhodi, ochro, sada roti, hops, fried or coconut bakes and assorted fresh juices.

Quality of Customer Service is superb!! The food is extraordinarily excellent and much satisfying. Would always recommend to my friends and family to choose Basil Bistro as a number one restaurant for delicious dining. Keep up the excellent Marvelous work Ms. Ann Marie.

This is a lovely Bistro on the Avenue. It is family oriented and the staff was very friendly. The Chef specially prepared a spicy crusted grilled pink salmon with creamy fettuccine alfredo. It atmosphere is also kid friendly. The menu is soon changing and will definately revist.

On the 29th July I went for a celebratory dinner with a friend and it was the best dining experience I have ever had in Trinidad. Excellent service, the chef was super friendly and funny, the waiter had us laughing all evening and they were so accommodating. And best of all the food was AMAZING!! Definitely will be back!

Been there both for eating and take away the Italian food is good. The chef had previous work experience with Angelo's and Buzo restaurant and that alone says alot. The service with my companion and my self was excellent and the food did not fail to impress. It's a quaint place just opposite Subway on Aripita Ave. The prices are reasonable and everything was on point. The take away prices are less than the eat in which makes it a good deal for those on the run during a hectic work day. I would highly recommend this place .

Delicious food, quick and helpful service, an interesting yet homely vibe all make for an enjoyable experience at Basil. Halal options (beware wine is used in several dishes). We had dinner at this family owned and run bistro after travelling to Trinidad from Australia. Great food by Johan, fabulous service from Ash and we loved chatting to Ann-Marie and Johan about their culture and country. There is no other curry or roti that taste like this. Seems more tangy and rich in their unique curry blend.

For food, we tried the pork wontons, the ODA and TSUKI sushi rolls, the SENSHI bowl, and the Teriyaki salmon. The highlights were definitely the pork wontons and the salmon as both were well-seasoned and flavorful. The TSUKI roll was great as well. Everything else was just okay. The shrimp in the Senshi bowl was quite rubbery, and the salmon surprisingly hit the table cold. If you prefer hot entrées, this might not be the best fit. Food: 3/5 As for the atmosphere, the Japanese décor was aesthetically pleasing, but the indoor layout and music could use some improvement. We were seated in a smaller room that felt cramped and poorly lit, and the music was so loud it was difficult to hold a conversation. I’d give the indoor atmosphere 3/5 (though I’d like to try the outdoor seating next time). Service was fine overall, and the staff was pleasant. However, I have to take off one star because my Senshi bowl order was mixed up. I had asked for no onions and no plantain, but still received plantain in my dish. This may have been because the music was so loud the server couldn’t hear me clearly. Service:4/5 Overall, tasty food with a couple of standouts, great drinks, and nice décor but the indoor atmosphere and temperature of the entrées might not be for everyone.

A great place for sushi! The experience here is always enjoyable. Our server Jose was attentive and responsive, he was also extremely knowledgeable about the menu answering questions and giving suggestions. The portions were generous and the sushi bowl was a hit! My one thing is the menu is very limited for non-sushi eaters but it does have a few options. It should also be noted that there is both indoor and outdoor seating but we opted to sit inside. They also have quite a few specials for drinks and sushi so be sure to check them out.

My bestie and I recently had my annual celebratory birthday lunch/dinner at Samurai. First of all, this it was her first time experiencing eating sushi, and well I'm a little more experienced but it was a first at this restaurant. The ambience was picturesque with esthetically pleasing; Grounded in nature, its Japanese based design is simple and yet effective at setting a mood. The service from our host and steward was excellent. We were well attended to and most satisfied with the quality and level of professionalism. Food, oh yes the food! Well, my friend for sure was hesitant at first with all the stigma about raw fish but it's safe to say she's a converted sushi eater and most likely will try it again based on her experience at Samurai. Especially the Crispy Shrimp and Crispy California rolls, they are semi-cooked. I particularly liked the overall experience. The sushi was sumptuous and fulling, and my complimentary birthday ice-cream just topped off the celebration.

*Disappointing Experience at Samurai* I visited Samurai expecting to enjoy good Japanese food, but unfortunately, the service was a complete disaster. Despite having available tables inside the restaurant, we were seated outside, where we noticed a spider web on the lamp above our table. The staff was unfriendly and lacked communication. *Issues with the order and service* We had the misfortune of being attended by 5 different staff members, which added to the chaos. We ordered passion fruit juice, but they didn't have it. Then, we ordered two pineapple juices and one cranberry juice, but they brought one pineapple juice and a beer that we didn't order. The sushi rolls and ramen arrived at different times, making the experience even more uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the sushi arrived without utensils, sauce, or napkins. *Lack of attention* When it started raining, no one approached us to ask if we were okay. The waitress showed a unpleasant attitude and there was no effective communication. *The food, the only positive* Although the food was tasty, the poor service ruined the entire experience. We didn't deserve that treatment, especially considering we paid for our food. *Conclusion* My experience at Samurai was very bad. It seems that the treatment depends on the person's appearance. I hope they improve their service to offer a more pleasant experience to their customers. *Rating:* 1/5 stars

Had a Godzilla roll. It was disappointing. For rolls that will have teriyaki sauce/ or garlic sauce, at least they can provide a small packet for to go orders. Only soy sauce was given and I don’t really eat soy sauce. The roll on the whole was mid. Wouldn’t purchase again.

I had a really good time here. It was a wonderful new experience for me. The drink that I ordered (cucumber lemonade with mint) was fantastic. The only issue I had was the Miso soup because it was brought to me when it was warm. I ordered the chicken curry nanban noodles in a bowl and it was good. It really was a curry dish. The service at the restaurant was really nice, the waiter and waitress who served me were very courteous a d responsive. I really appreciated their services. The atmosphere was remarkably good, a singer was brought in and he brought wonderful vibes by singing some old school and new school jams mostly blues and indie rock. Samurai restaurant is a good place to go and I would recommend it because of their professionalism and memorable setting.

I had lunch here. It's regular Indian food but more expensive and the cocktail drinks tasted like there wasn't any alcohol in them. The dessert was delicious and I loved the presentation! I would say the food isn't worth it, but I'm willing to return to try the afternoon tea. Ambience is lovely and service was good.

You walk into an experience! Some very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Interaction from the door with the young lady was note worthy. Food is reasonably priced for the level of culinary art tou received on your plate. We were offered a sort of pre appetizer as we waited on our orders. The menu does a great job of explaining most meal items and you can also ask questions. They have a few tasting options on the menu which is awesome. The Mint Chutney is divine! 2 person table was a bit tiny but the servers handled well. My partner and I were both satisfied with our meals. Meals are visually impactful so is the overall space. Edible Flowers and beautiful colours on every plate! Ambience was taken up a notch with live violin! If I had to nitpick my only wish was that the naan was served in a way that better kept its freshness.

Top of the line, flavorful cuisine. Food took a while to appear but it was worth the wait. My only disappointment was the dessert. It fell short of my high expectations after such a sumptuous meal.

The food was delicious! Authentic Indian food that can only be found in Trinidad and Tobago. It was nice to have a security guard direct us and escort us to our parking area. The same security guard was also there when we exited the restaurant. We try a variety of items on their menu and our children also and enjoyed the experience. They also have live music. The food is excellent !

The Meena House is the epitome of elegance and classy dining. The service is magnificent, the staff is extremely pleasant and efficient. The ambience is amazing. Will definitely visit again and recommend.

We spontaneously decided to have lunch at this restaurant. It was the right decision. Our waiter was very friendly and patient with our group of 8 adults. We ordered different meals and all was very good and reasonably priced. A restaurant I will certainly return to in the future.

The first time dining here was good. We will go back. Parking was ok, busy shopping center. There is no restroom within the restaurant, which is not ideal (have to wall down to a shared RR). The restaurant was well decorated and clean. Seat yourself style. The food portions were great. Green sauce was too sweet, but red and white were tasty. Kids' meals were a great value. The main negative was that their tortillas didn't taste fresh (kinda dry).

Food was tasty but service was a bit lackluster. Our drinks were empty the entire time unless we asked for refills and we were brought two bowls of chips and salsa for 8 people which was gone in just a few minutes and again we weren’t brought more until we asked. This place looks like a fast service restaurant but you actually are seated and waited on. Food was good, nothing to write home about.

For Mexican food in St. George, this place wasn’t too bad. They have some of the typical entrees that you might expect at most Mexican restaurants. There is a lot of seating, including outdoor shaded seating. The staff seemed eager to seat us and take our order, which was great. I wouldn’t say it’s the best, but definitely decent dishes to eat. It appeared to be about $15-$20/person based on the menu. I would try this place again.

The food came quick, great service, delicious chips and salsa, and the best white/queso sauce I have ever tasted in this town. I would eat here again. We got the Carne Asada fries, Torta, Chile Relleno, and Chimichanga.

This place was awesome. Tony was great and took great care of us. The kids menu was perfect. They had tons of gluten free options. The chips are even fried in a separate fryer. Would 100% recommend!

The entire table with side dishes were stone cold, garlic bread hard as a crouton, mushrooms that are supposed to be eaten hot are like they are straight out the fridge, the meats were all seasoned the same so they tasted the same just different textures.. some had no salt while others were over salty like the ocean there was no inbetween, the only meat I will give as amazing is the bacon wrapped chicken. Good experience to go once, the atmosphere is very very very very nice with live music playing when i went and the service was impeccable however i will not be returning as I can get more flavor and higher quality food on the avenue.

There's a wide variety of side dishes and salads. The meat selection includes steak cuts, lamb, chicken and sausages. The customer service was excellent, the staff members were friendly and helpful. This restaurant is great for those that have a big appetite and can handle loads of meat being served in intervals sizzling off the grill. The drinks were also great and I loved their carrot cake. Definitely recommend for a birthday or special occasion. The restaurant week special was a steal of a deal.

Great ambience, great service, the food was delicious some meats are a bit salty but most were on point and cooked just how you prefer it. Servers were very polite and courteous. The chefs came out to ensure everything was to our liking. The drinks were also well made and the deserts are delicious. They were also very accommodating for kids. The prices are high, as to be expected of places of this caliber.

Tonight is our last night in Trinidad, we decided to go eat at Texas De Brazil. We are here celebrating our anniversary. It was myself, my husband and our friend Sherwin. It was his first time so, you know, he was in for a treat. 🙂 From the moment, we walked in the door, we were given excellent service. The manager, Christian, came up to greet us and made sure we were ready to be seated. Once, at the table, our server Joseph was very kind, knowledgeable and served us promptly. He explained to Sherwin, how the process works and went to get our drink orders. The food was delicious, hot and fresh. Christian is a true gentleman and assisted me with my plate and pulled out my chair. During the course of dinner our anniversary was mentioned and that it was our first time here. The service became even better. 🙂 We received Champagne and wonderful well wishes. They took wonderful care of us. Christian was so kind to give us a tour of Rizzoni's Italian restaurant below. It is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for making our last night in Trinidad one of the best. 🙂

It was clear that staff members were not being treated with fairness or consideration, which not only affects employees but also customers who can sense the tension. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works to create a healthier environment for both staff and clients.

It didn't disappoint except for the grilled chicken inside that threw off the overall palette with its upsetting aftertaste. 8oz Angus, medium done, soft, juicy, all the toppings and paired with a sizeable portion of seasoned fries, this burger comes just behind the JD offering from TGI's. IIRC, they used to serve more of a cajun seasoned fries that slapped a while aback...not sure if they replaced it with the current, not all that great, side order. All in all, worth the visit. PS. That 1 bottle of Bertie's pepper sauce y'all passing round from table to table isn't good restaurant etiquette btw.

The atmosphere was quite relaxing and the staff was friendly. I forgot to take the name of the waitress that served us but she was excellent. The cocktails were rich in taste and definitely order the Mashed Potatoes 🤤

I had a jerk shrimp pasta 8.5/10 😋 was really delicious and I also had The PURPLE HAZE 🥃😵‍💫 10/10 , would ONLY recommend this drink for those with a high tolerance for alcohol Service was amazing And there were live musical instruments being played

Ordered a burger and fries, the food was mid, the coleslaw was horrible... Zanzibar kitchen manager, go kfc, buy a cole slaw and compare it to yours.. your coleslaw has too much mayo so that it's overpowering, it's too sweet and not adequately balanced with salt, and it's just a thick clump. Fix the coleslaw, message me here and I'd come back in and try it again.. Then I'd modify this review . Let's see if you listen to your customers. That bad coleslaw really bugged me..

Stopped in for early lunch on a Saturday. Not a lot of patrons so service was great. Had the Crispy chicken sandwich and the Z's Seafood Ravioli (didn't get a pic) and both were fantastic.

Went for a family reunion lunch. Great selection of Chinese food, and good drinks. Service (Francis) was very attentive & helpful, quick & efficient. Food was very good, Mussels especially & several varieties of Wontons & stir fried fish. Nice ambience, they turned down music to accommodate us so we could talk without shouting. I would recommend going.

I've been here several times. The food does NOT disappoint. Great service, excellent environment. I only have two personal concerns, 1. The wait time for your order - which is understandable considering the size of the restaurant but don't go hungry 😅 2. It's a bit too dark for my liking, depending on where you sit. If you sit against the walls, the lighting is good but if you have a group and have to sit away from the walls, it's a bit difficult to see properly - that however was back in 2020 at dinner time... Haven't been there for dinner since... I've gone for lunch several times though 😅

2nd dining experience by the bar. The guys were super busy so getting their attention was a little challenging. The drinks and food came quickly though. Their portions are huge so please note that. The food was delicious as usual. Highly recommended

Soo over rated. The food was sub-mediocre. The noodles were bland and the honey chicken just tasted sweet/sugary. No seasonings in any dish. The drinks were expensive and very sweet. $90 for a drink and 0 buzz because of the juice to alcohol ratio being off.

The food and service was great. I would have given 4.5 stars if it was a option, because the crab back appetizer was OK, too much bread used. However the other food items made up for it. Fried Wonton, Pepper Shrimp, vegetable fried rice and vegetable chow mein were great. I would definitely go back when I visit Trinidad again. 🇹🇹 the ambience was very nice.

As a first time experience I found it to be quite enjoyable. Our server Varune was excellent and attentive. Portions were unexpectedly huge and prices great. Ambience was on point and really cozy. Won't hesitate to return.

Town Restaurant is a very cozy space. If you enjoy hanging out alone or with friends, this is the ideal spot. I had the opportunity to taste their Chinese food and it is excellent. The 1/4 portions are nice. The food is very tasty, especially the plum chicken and pepper calamari. These two dishes really stood out for me. Finally let talk about the table staff, they are excellent, polite and highly efficient. I have been there twice and I am definitely going to visit again. Great job!

Food was unbelievable. I travel a lot, and know great tasting food. I was very disappointed with service. Didn't give water for 17 minutes. Didn't give water after asking 2nd time for another 26 minutes. No napkins given until asking, when meal was almost over. Came to visit table rarely. Owner would do much better with communicating with waiters and staff on asking the needs of guests, and not having very long waits

I ordered butter chicken and naan… I was surprised I had to pay extra for rice. The garlic naan was very thick and not what I am used to when I order naan. The part of my meal I was sad about the most was the butter chicken. I was craving it for a few months after coming from the US. The butter chicken had no flavor and I was so excited to taste all the spices I associated with authentic Indian food but I got nothing. Also, it was overpriced!

They have a good selection of authentic Indian food. We get their garlic naan and onion kulcha every single time. It's easy to get a table, even on weekends. Service can be a bit slow, but nothing too bad.

Quick Hakka fusion food that's tasty and enjoyable. Service was good, staff were friendly and attentive and food was served quickly.

The food was good, the environment was clean and pleasant, and the server was friendly. The cashier was polite overall, but I didn’t appreciate her approach in one situation. I didn’t realize she had already put a fork in my bag, so I picked one up from the counter—it's to the front where most people would assume utensils are for customer use. Instead of calmly explaining, she said, “No, we don’t do that here,” in a tone that felt unnecessary. Honestly, I could’ve snapped, but I was too hungry to bother. Just don't put the utentils to the front if y'all don't do that there. 😩 This is the location corner of Abercromby & Queen Street.

Tasty with a huge portion of rice and huge portion of noodles. However the fish portion was small containing mostly batter and 4 pieces of fish. Exspensive for little serving of fish.

Almost everything was spicy. I prefer no spicy or very little. The servers did not seem interested in satisfying their customers.

The server was not the usual jovial ladies who are out front. Service was mainly without words and eye contact. Felt like I was bothering the young lady. Then the potatoes were basically like chewing on fried sponge full of oil. Didn't enjoy today's lunch. Maybe is time for a rest.

This was the bestttt!!!! The service was top tier. The servers were so friendly and helpful. The food tho 🤤. The food was amazingggg. If I could rate it a 100/5 I would. Honestly the best food I have had in a long time. We ordered the Creamy Chicken Rotini and the Spinach Chicken Alfredo Pizza. They were both amazing. Attached is photos of both and some other things my family Ordered.

Their all you can eat pizza special is a total steal of a deal. Pair that with their really good service and wine specials they have as well and it was an experience definitely worth talking about. The pizza options are great and offer a wide variety. Taste, presentation and quality all on point. Even the dessert pizza options leave you intrigued and impressed. Their live entertainment also adds a very nice touch. Perfect for an intimate dinner or even an evening out with friends and family.

Went to celebrate my daughter being awarded her degree. Now we both heard the food wasn't that good and the prices crazy. But we decided to form our own opinion. We went on a Tuesday, and they did have a special on called Pasta Tuesday, buy 1, and get 1 of the same or lesser value free. The portions were more than satisfying. Delicious food. Our server was very pleasant. Our drinks were mocktails and let me tell you, awesome! Great experience.

I can’t wait to go back! My new favorite spot in Trinidad! Rizzoni’s all you can eat pizza Fridays is such a vibe. For just $199 you get unlimited pizza, appetizers AND dessert. Like, what?! 🤯 They have over 10 different pizzas and you can try every single one if you want (which I obviously did lol). ⭐️ My top favorites were the carne asada, creamy chicken and spinach, prosciutto with pear and gorgonzola, and the truffle mushroom. 😍Everything was sooo good. If you love pizza, this is your sign.

I went to Rizzoni’s for a dinner date with my other my significant other. I had a very enjoyable experience; the atmosphere was very beautiful, calm and scenic. The staff was very pleasant.The waitress was very good at recommending meal options and drinks. I enjoyed my meal and my drink. However my date didn’t enjoy his drink as much. The food and drinks didn’t take too long to arrive after ordering which is a plus. We would both definitely revisit Rozzonis for the tasty food and wonderful atmosphere.

This is by far the best Italian restaurant in trinidad. The food and wines are amazing . Also the chef is quite interactive with the customers . The ambience is also amazing and clean. The food is usually served in a timely manner and the staff is friendly and nice. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for tasty food and drink on a special occasion. Parking places are also available lower down the street as well.

Lovely food and great service. The staff is friendly (both servers and customer service on the phone when making a booking). They made accommodations for my entire group including for my Muslim and Hindu friends. Angelo himself visits the table and has a little chat with you. Just be prepared for the prices. It is quite expensive. But overall nice experience.

After hearing all the hype, I was excited to experience this restaurant. Upon entering, the ambiance was vineyard-like with an outdoor seating area. Once inside, more seating was available and evenly spaced. It was my first experience trying Sushi so I was skeptical and proceeded to ask the Server about Sushi... If it was indeed raw fish and instead of answering directly, he came across a bit snobby and that was uncalled for. I'm here to tell you that the Sushi is not RAW but rather SMOKED. The offerings from their TTRW Sushi Menu were delightful, however I did not like the Seaweed Salad. The Salmon was bland. The appetizers chosen were simply ok and the desserts were nothing special, Creme brulee was not torched. Wouldn't be returning for a long time.

My wife, daughter, and I went out for dinner. We tried their $150 special menu option. The food took a lot of time to arrive. My entrée arrived at the same time as the appetizer while my wife and daughter's entrées arrived much later. For dessert, we took 2 chocolate mousse to have there. We were given a soup spoon and a serving spoon to eat them with. The texture was extremely grainy and unappealing. They had no diet drink options and did not have passion fruit juice although it is on the menu. There was no mint, so we couldn't try the mocktails that used mint, nor could they make a virgin pina colada because they had no mix (we don't drink alcohol). No fresh juices either. Just orange and grapefruit juice available and grapefruit juice affects our medication so we can't have that. The only saving grace was that the appetizers were good.

Visited the avenue location for TTRW. Despite how full the place was it did not feel cramped or too noisy. I had reservations for inside dining but had to dine outside which was fine. Ambience and decor is not much to talk about. Our server was very friendly and personable. I ordered sushi as both entrée and main and it tasted good.

Went for TTWR. Service was a bit slow but the place was packed and it was a Friday evening... Was not terribly slow though, took about an hr from start to finish, which was what we expected.

I'm rarely in Port of Spain, but had cravings for sushi. The food was amazingly delicious! The restaurant was clean, crisp and inviting. The staff were absolutely the best! Big portions, deviously delicious and good price point. I'll definitely return. Car park too, so no worries about getting towed.

It was perfect. The sushi rolls was great size, you can distinguish the difference in each rolls taste. The appetizers was plentiful. The drinks isn't all that, it's weak and most of them are sour but overall great ambiance, lovely service. A bit pricey but otherwise great experience

We got lost looking for a restaurant and this pop in our view. This was my first time and my children second. It's a very quaint place. It looks big from the outside but beautiful when you walk in. The garden seating is just as beautiful, it gives you that zen style feeling. The service was great and food as well. We had the sushi and desserts it was truly yummy. They have a great tea selection as well. Happy food exploring.

The food is generally great and full of taste. It is also affordable. The ambience is quite and calm however it may get busy on Fridays and weekends as with most popular spots. The wait time for food is good and the staff is usually friendly and welcoming. You can also have a dinner gathering with friends because the space is big enough to accommodate.

I've visited here on two occasions, both for their "Awesome Buffet". The customer service is what sold me on this restaurant. Both nights were both very busy and my table was still served in a prompt and friendly manner. Even on the phone when making my reservations, I experienced politeness and professionalism. The buffet was amazing. Good selection of items, quick restocks and pretty tasty (besides the pasta dishes which were sub par). Not to mention the price of it (only $99 +vat!). Will be visiting here again and again.

Visited La Cantina for Wings Wednesday and I had a great time. There were 5 flavours of wings on offer. The customer service cannot be beat! Best service I've had locally in a long time. The ambience is lovely and the drinks were great.

Food is tasty. You put on gloves, take your box and take out your own food. The cost depends on how much the food/box weighs. Service was fast. Price can be high if you take a lot of food.

My husband and I had lunch here, the food was great. Bear in mind the salads are huge. The only downside was that I ordered the Baileys Torte for dessert (to go) unfortunately not a scent or taste of Baileys. Other than that we enjoyed the meal.

We had dinner on Jun01, 2025 to celebrate my brother and sister's birthday. The ambiance was breathtaking with an enchanting view of the ocean...dinner was great. I am not a meat eater so I had salmon, I heard the lamb chops was scrumptious! I was very impressed with the service...the server went all out to ensure we were pleased, she paid attention to detail...she brought out lighted candles on the desserts for my brother and sister and offered to take puctures...I would definitely recommend for an evening out.

I’m in Trinidad for work and chose the Crews Inn for accommodations. The staff are incredible and never stop working on maintenance. The chef at the Lighthouse restaurant is spectacular. Every dish over my 4 day stay has been amazing. His calaloo with crab was very impressive but the seafood is fresh and prepared to perfection. The sales staff was great and did an amazing job preparing our meeting facilities. The Crews in would be a good relaxing vacation spot as well as a great place for work meetings.

It has a beautiful view, the food was good, I ordered the soup of the day and they gave me a corn soup. The only thing I didn't like was that it was spicy but that's normal in this country. The potatoes were still spicy, I think the structure lacks maintenance. the service of the staff is good and they are attentive

Me and the Dutty Bad Squad 😁 started missing dining by Jenny’s Wok after it closed, down in south 😔, so we decided to try Jenny's on the Boulevard up in town 🤔... They offered delicious, authentic Trinidadian cuisine in a warm, lively setting and the service was friendly. Honestly, ah still have a bias towards Jenny’s Wok when it was open down south buh ah guess that’s all nostalgia now... Overall 🤔, I’ll say Jenny's on the Boulevard is ah great spot for flavourful local dishes 😋an ah recommend you should try it out 😎👍🏿...

Had two visits here in May on my visit to Trinidad. First time relaxing on the outdoor section for drinks and starters. The staff were very friendly and professional. The lamb was well seasoned spicy and delicious definitely recommend. Loved the prawn fried wanton and the wanton soup. Margarita was delicious. Second time as a larger group in the upstairs section. The steamed veggies, mushrooms and the beef was a good choice. Had a hiccup with the fish dish but this was resolved swiftly. Enjoyed the building as well, lovely interior.

Great place to eat. Amazing atmosphere and food. The service was top notch! Some of the best I’ve ever had in Trinidad. . The portions were pretty huge though, I would say whatever entree is listed on the menu is for 2, so just be mindful of that. . Looking forward to going again and trying some more items on the menu.

I visited Jenny’s for valentines dinner. The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was delicious. I had the valentines 💝 buffet dinner which consisted of appetizers, main and dessert. I also received a rose 🌹 and my date received chocolates 🍫 in celebration of valentines. There was lamb, 🍗 chicken, shrimp 🦐, 🍣 sushi, 🥗 salad bar, rice, potatoes, veges, lobster 🦞 bisque and numerous desserts. Because it was valentines we did have to wait a while before getting seated since there was lots of couples there. And it took very long to get our drinks. The food was absolutely delicious and I really enjoy myself. It was a very memorable valentines 💌 dinner. I would definitely visit again since the food is 🤤 tasty and the atmosphere is beautiful. Additionally the staff was very helpful and kind. However the food is very expensive as compared to other restaurants. Overall good experience and would definitely visit again for a special occasion. I would try their regular menu sometime, I am sure the food will be just as delicious as the valentines meal.

Wide range of tasty street food. Conveniently located and reasonably good service. Had dinner there and the service was warm and courteous from the start. We were accommodated even without a prior reservation. Our waiter Daphne, guided us through the menu and made, what turned out to be a tasty recommendation. Tried their vegan options when I was at the Savannah, top teir!! Everything was on point, perfectly seasoned. Might daughter had the shrimp Alfredo, she fell in love. Always a pleasure to eat here. I usually order sides, but their vegan options!!🤤10/10 would recommend.

Friendly and efficient staff. The food was very delicious and reasonably priced. Not forgetting the amazing view; which can be enhanced with a bit of window cleaning. (September 2019) Visited for a second time in June 2023 for my mom's birthday. Upon entering, my mom was greeted with a hearty "happy birthday" by two of the staff members. The service was excellent with its maintained consistency of friendly and efficient staff members along with delicious food. Our server, Denzel, was absolutely amazing. His warm and helpful disposition made us feel extremely comfortable and well-attended to, throughout our time there. Other staff members checked in regularly to ensure that everything was okay. The windows were crystal clear! From our seats, in the nook area, the night view was breathtaking. I loved our experience 100%!

We visited again for our 16 year anniversary. Once again they surprised us with beautiful ambiance, excellent service and delicious food. We were welcomed with the warm smiles of Venus who seated us. Our servers were very professional and at the end of our meal they brought out dessert with happy anniversary written in chocolate. We were very surprised I must say it was and anniversary to remember thanks to the staff at Tiki Village.

Food is ok, but portion sizes are large. Suited for groups, not necessarily 1 or 2 people. Had food to carry. Otherwise, taste is average for Chinese food. It's also pricey.... so expect that Ambiance is wonderful and the staff is amazing and courteous. I hope they extend their time of opening soon, as they were closing at 9pm when I visited.

A much better experience than More Vino. Tried their All You Can Eat Buffet on Tuesdays and the rolls were consistently good, for new menu items. Didn't like the tofu, it was bland. Would not recommend the brownie dessert though, it lacked body and depth of richness and flavor. Trotters brownie explosion is the best!

Visited the Movie Town branch and I didn't dine, I ordered to go and got the deal "3 rolls for $190". I got the tori tempura roll, oishi roll and another one but I forgot the name, it's basically salmon. The wait wasn't that long probably about 15 minutes. The rolls were okay, the oishi roll was the best because of the plantain in it, it added a little sweetness.

Falling in love with sushi over and over again is how I feel about this restaurant. With so many rolls to choose from, I get excited when viewing the menu. The rolls are perfectly concocted with the right mix of textures and flavors. I've ordered takeout before but the dine in experience is cool.

This was my first visit, and upon being seated was a bit sceptical about this place. There clearly is the need for a decor upgrade and the atmosphere was lacking. It was quiet with no ambient music so we were hearing all staff conversation in the background. The food though. Our expectations were low however everything we ordered was surprisingly tasty. May not return to dine but take out is a high possibility.

There has been an improvement in their quality and flavor over time. Presentation has also improved. Overall it's a good place for lunch or dinner with great desert options.

Last night we decided to take up Kaizan on their 'All you can eat' menu which was reasonably priced. First off the service was impeccable - well done. The menu had a few things that needed explaining and our server was very helpful. We ordered drink and starters, both of which came very quickly given the low traffic. Drinks were well balanced, the potato ball - delicious, but the chicken lollipop was sometimes a bit undercooked. I was a bit disappointed that there was no wasabi or ginger as I have come to expect these as standard when having sushi and to be honest, some of the rolls really needed that extra umph and palate cleanse to enjoy as we were mixing options. My first time eating conch and surprisingly it was not chewy. Kudos to them. The biggest disappointment was the serving sizes, I cut everything in half, lol. We had to re-order as soon as one came out - it just didn't make sense eating one potato ball (they should come in three's). Otherwise everything else was as it should be, so an overall good experience.

Was looking for food on New Years day and thankfully this place was open, so 5 stars just for that To top it off our server Cindy was top notch, we never had to look around for her, she was very attentive and kept checking on us, if I could give another 5 stars would go just to her! I had the callaloo soup, lobster tail, mashed potatoes and the mango, vanilla and guava creme brulee. My husband had the callaloo soup, the salmon entre and the coconut bread pudding for dessert. I really liked the bread and butter. The callaloo soup was ok. It had a strange initial taste. Not sure if it was one of the seasonings they used. I love callaloo. We cook it at home often so I know what it should taste like and this one was off. My husband took one spoonful and didn't eat the rest. We both got mashed potatoes with our entrees. Mashed potatoes were lukewarm. My lobster tail was piping hot and tasty. You get one small lobster tail but because I loaded up on the bread I was pretty full after my entree. The mango creme brulee tasted pretty good. Vanilla and guava tastes ok. As far as the texture, I like my creme brulee kinda stiff like gelatin and that is the way they make it here! Will not rush back here for dinner. It was just ok especially considering the price. $150 US dollars (before tip) for two people.

The featured menu contained meat, fish and vegetarian options in each section and we were excited about trying them. The fish items definitely dominated the entire experience having well paired contrasting flavors and playful textures. Over all the artistic expression of chef Wilbur was greatly appreciated as well as the hospitality of Restaurant Manager and our server for the night.

The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, our waiter was a bit passive aggressive but attentive for the most part… but nothing could’ve prepared me for how inedible the food was.. I got loaded fries for myself and it LOOKED lovely but tasted like the chef ONLY put salt into the food and sent it out… the chicken tenders were dirt DRY.. and the alfredo was watery and tasted like no one could be bothered to put some seasoning. Honestly the only saving graces were the daiquiris and the swing area for photos and also the deconstructed cheesecake was fine.

Restaurant Week 2025 Experience Came here for Restaurant Week 2025 and was really disappointed. The food was terrible the seafood was salty, it did taste fresh., we Got incorrect drinks Two of my family members had to wait about 15 minutes for their meals after everyone else was already finished eating, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. The service was also poor the servers were arguing in front of customers. Overall, it was an uncoordinated and unpleasant experience.

I was pleasantly surprised by the revamped Trader Jack's Restaurant. The food was delicious, and I felt like it was value for money with the portion sizes and taste. The service was as expected, and I was pleased with how attentive the wait staff were. Aside from that, the overall aesthetic of the restaurant was clean and maintained, and I would surely return.

My first visit to your restaurant was on Friday evening where we experienced excellent service from our server, Ronald. His knowledge about the menu items and personable demeanour enhanced our overall experience. He provided fantastic service that will definitely bring us back to Trader Jack.

At first we were very excited about how well done the decor was done with nice lights. As we entered we asked to have a look at the menus as we were not aware of what type of food Trader Jack did. A huge turn off was when asked for certain items on the menu but was informed by the waitress that they did not have the ingredients to make the items that we asked for. It took a little while to get our meals and then was again turned off by how oily the fish and chips. Two persons that had fish and chips left back more than half of the fish. Fish was made with Salmon another turn off as the expectation was it should have been Cod fish. In addition, to the fish being oily one person got a piece of a wood skewer measuring approximately 2 inches within the fish. We showed the supervisor by pressing on the Fish how the oil came up ontop of the fork. This was communicated to the waitress and the supervisor came and said that they will give a discount. Not thinking too much about it, when we received the bill we got all of a 15% discount on all meals amounting to $74.40. We were still charged service charge. We were offered a drink or deserts but by that time we were completely turned off. When we got home, one of the persons that ate the fish and chips got an upset stomach and has been using the bathroom. The meals that we had the the restaurant everyone commented among ourselves that it was not that great tasting. Again with the expectation that of an establishment like this. In my opinion the overall experience was not desirable. And honestly, I plan to call them and lodge a further complaint about this. And if necessary, report to consumer affairs.

The view is spectacular! On a nice evening when the sun is setting and the sky is painted with a cool breeze it is absolutely the best. I visited with a friend on a Sunday evening and the place was quiet when we arrived but got busier as the evening progressed. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. They replenished our waters, saw when we needed napkins and even brought some chopstick helpers for us. They truly made the evening special. The food was spectacular, well seasoned and tasty and the portions generous. A really nice evening vibe, ideal for an after work catch up, date night or just a night out.

Great menu, lovely service, fantastic view and ambiance. Tucked away in Hilton overlooking a picturesque lush of greenery. My ears were melodiously caressed with the beautiful sounds of birds chirping harmoniously as the sun set, breathtakingly beautiful over the mountains. ……the food was delicious.

I know they were tired of me, I was in there almost every night because it’s so good! I ALWAYS ordered the wings as my appetizer, they are so dang on good! Crispy! And with the BBQ sauce, perfection! The strawberry milkshakes are sooo good with the strawberry purées! The steak was delicious and tender! Mashed potatoes were heavenly!! Loved the staff and the atmosphere! Can’t wait to come back to Trinidad and go again

Don't recommend eating here. The food took forever to come as their was a backlog. The waitress seemed stressed even tho the resturant was barely full. Don't recommend getting nigiri or lemon drop. Better off getting room service if you stay at the hotel. The service and food was poor for such a high-class restaurant.

Incredible ambience. Extremely efficient and helpful staff that went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was delicious and the range of cocktails was impressive. Will certainly be returning for the chocolate eruption (half eaten in the photo 😅).

We had a good experience at Kava. It was our first time dining there. I had the ribeye steak which was cooked to my preference and was well seasoned. My husband had the tomato parmesan chicken and he was pleased. It was my husband's birthday and he received a nice birthday dessert. Their chocolate cake was decadent. Atmosphere was casual and comfortable.

Delicious! Amazing fresh herbs fries and shrimp wontons. Loved the volcano shrimp and cilantro shrimp, and the service was excellent and friendly. Would definitely come again.

The pizzas were ok, I mean I had those flavors for the first time. Hazelnut with caramel and seafood. However the lady that helped us wasn't friendly at all. Maybe a bad day? We don't know

The Restaurant was overall excellent. We had a late lunch at about 4pm. To start with the Margaritas were delicious. We had both the original and sorrel margaritas. Drinks were well mixed..some of the best margs we've had in a while. The pepper squid was delicious...well seasoned...just enough pepper. The volcano shrimp/pasta was heavenly...the shrimp served were definitely large. Portions are well worth the money. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. 10/10 would recommend.

I went for dinner here and it was a great experience. When I reached, I was greeted by pleasant staff who asked me whether I wanted to dine inside or outside as I forgot to indicate my preference when I made the reservation. The waitress was very friendly and always checked on my table every few minutes throughout the night. After we ordered, both the food and drinks came within a few minutes. Everything that we ordered was very tasty and everything on the menu was affordable. We would definitely go back to this restaurant.

My first time trying the food here. It was mid. Roti tasted a bit slightly undercooked. It was enjoyable though. I didn’t like the body though as I prefer it crunchy.

So I went during the rush lunch hour, 11 am to 1 pm, and just say it had people. Everyone who like to enjoy ah good curry knows that's the place to be. The wait time, was a lil long, but it was expected given the time of day. Staff polite but reserved...no smile, no welcome to my establishment kind of vibe😐...It's can I take your order please and move on with it kind reception but not rude...Anyhow...how alyuh could not have mango anchar when I come for roti eh!☹️ Sigh! 😔 But kudos to the boneless chicken and the chef and staff behind the preparation it was delicious😋. Will be going again!

Been going here since it opened many years ago and always defended it to the naysayers but no more. The actual roti is still silky and soft bit the curry has dropped drastically in quality. Seems a change to thr curry mixture used has been made and seasoning is a thing of thr past. Last week bpught both chicken and beef and tasted like meat boiled in curry water, pumpkin was watery and bland as was the potato. Everyone in the group complained and are now unwilling to try again.

Miss the food back home so damn much! They even have mini rotis. Keep on being great Hott Shoppe!

The roti there is top notch. Service is poor. The place is popular so it gets crowded so they have to shout when your order is ready. It's a bit chaotic

Used to taste better, standards have dropped. Roti is thick and curry is more geera than curry - something is missing. My last visit, will be my last visit. I had curry beef, the beef did not look like curry and tasted heavy handed on the geera.

Always busy, always a lot of drinks flowing good spot to party. If they finally get a decent dj (who doesn't switch songs every 30seconds covering 10 music styles and eras in 10 minutes) it may actually become real good.

Great music and reasonably priced drinks. On Thursdays you pay a 60ttd entrance fee but Fridays and Saturdays there is no entrance fee. It's not the most spacious place so if you go at peak hours (Friday night at 11:30pm-12am), expect to be bumping in to a lot of people and a long line to use the washroom. Rum and coke costs about 25ttd Vodka and cranberry costs about 55ttd.

The food's OK but the staff, they were terrible. No training or manners whatsoever. They just do their job and they don't even do it right. One of my colleagues got the wrong order then they took another half an hour to get the correct one. The atmosphere is just plain weird.

It was a busy day but yet we were catered to in a timely fashion. The waitress was very engaging and was able to make recommendations. The food was tasty, presented in an surprising never and we definitely enjoyed it. We had enough spacing at our table and was comfortable with the probs and costing. We definitely will be back

Everything was great!!! Food 100% Service: Impeccable Staff were very patient and helpful. My server was the beautiful and friendly Miss Shelly... u know I'm a picky eater 😆 but she was really kind and gave great and honest opinions and believe me, she didn't disappoint. Overall, I loved it.

I ordered a steak medium rare and it came rare. I kindly spoke to the waitress, who was giving resistance after which she sent it back to the kitchen (changing from medium rare to medium well. Upon receiving it back from the kitchen I cut into it and it now looked medium rare. I accepted and proceeded to eat. After a few slices I reached another rare part of the steak. Atleast management asked if I wanted the steak off the bill, however given how much I already eaten I paid half for the steak. Proceed with caution.

After many years of avoiding this place, simply because their food used to have a weird freezer burn taste, I am happy to report that their culinary experience has improved greatly‼️ Their offerings are now on parr with Trini standards and are so delightful. They now utilize fresh vegetables which I was impressed with and the food options pair well with the cocktails available. Their TTRW Menu 2023 was so amazing, that I ate their twice. Will definitely return.

Friendly staff, with good atmosphere and excellent service. The food was deliciously amazing. The burger was loaded and very filling. The crispy chicken tenders were immaculate. Omg a must try when I go back. The drinks did not disappoint, definitely favorites.

Consistently delicious food with one of the best pepper sauce options you’ll find in Trinidad. Their chicken is also halal (although the restaurant also serves pork dishes). Dining in you’ll meet a large, well outfitted hall that’s spacious, well lit and welcoming. We started with wonton and chicken corn soups, ideal for a rainy week. The rest of food was ao good it didn’t make the photos!

I made detailed reservations for Kam wah for the 26 July at 8pm. 8 adults ,1 toddler that will need a high chair, this was done on the 26th July. Arrived at the restaurant on said reservation date , and I observed that the toddler chair wasn't there (small thing as I can always ask an assistant) as well as some fluid was by my seating area. Not sure what it could be juice or water, nevertheless I wanted it mopped since it was uncomfortable to be palancing in unknown fluids and I didn't want my jacket to accidentally to fall in it. I asked a waiter a bald head guy if he can attend to it.....he gave a very nonchalant response and never attended to the matter I Didn't make a deal as he wasn't the waiter for our table. When the waiter for our table came I told him about the high chair for my son and the fluids on the ground. It seemed like cleanliness and customer satisfaction is not a priority here....he came after about 3 to 4 reminders about the fluids on the floor with attitude and handed me hand towel tissue and gave me to clean up the mess ( at this point I was ready to go but it would have involved others to leave which would have been difficult) anyways that unprofessional moment past , my son was still being passed around on laps as he didn't have the high chair as yet. I reminded the waiter again...and his response was unbelievable. He told me , if you like you can go and get the high chair yourself. Such an unbelievably, rude, disrespectful and unprofessional rebuttal. The food was alright and then to have poor service was a total turn off for me. I am telling everyone in my circle about the poor service and onduct . They need to train or hire new staff to serve. Waiters can't be so rude to patrons who just wish to have a wonderful peaceful time probably only time in one's busy schedule to get some pampering....and then to go through this unprofessionalism with Kam wah. NEVER NEVER NEVER my family and I will visit Kam wah YOU GUYS SUCK BIG TIME

Amazing dim sum - delicious, different and great variety. Excellent service. Tables are placed spaciously all surrounded by beautiful decor.

One of my favourite go to spots, whether for a quick takeaway or fine dining upstairs. I’ve been here on numerous occasions at one point in 2015, almost every other day. I absolutely love the dishes here; they’re consistently delicious and satisfying.

The place is welcoming, good ambiance and service, the food was great, went in the afternoon it literally only had one other set of ppl so we got our food in a decent time. Average prices and the portions wasn't to bad, toilet was very clean, tried calling several times yesterday to make reservations but no one was answering the phones
