Located in the heart of Cadiz's flower market, Freiduria Marisquería Las Flores 1 is a popular spot offering a variety of fried seafood and fish dishes. The restaurant features sidewalk tables where patrons can savor plates of mixed seafood fry, anchovies, shrimps, prawns, octopus salad, calamari strips, marinated dogfish, paella and fideua at affordable prices.
Stood at the counter as a single diner and didn't want to take up a table for one person. Got a few Canjas , tortalitta de Camerones and Choco Fritos(cuttlefish) . Loved standing at the bar talked to my neighbors and food was perfecto! Fast service and staff was great!

Amazing restaurant with a lot of fresh, fried fish, shrimp and squid dishes. My favourite was the fried fish pancake’s called Tortillitas de Camarones. Fast service and great atmosphere.
Thomas L — Google review
We went to this place following recommendations from Google and Lonely Planet. We had to wait for a table but weren't disappointed. We were lucky to sit outside, but there's a great buzz inside too. The food was great and service friendly. The salad of shrimp and octopus was really refreshing.
Em P — Google review
You know this is a real deal as the majority of visitants are local rather than tourist. There are some rules of thumb that simply work well. This place always has a tail of customers waiting, or you can feel the joy of people with the dishes and drinks. If you are looking for sea food / tapas / or a place to earn the experience of the South food, this is the right place. Great location with indoor or terrace restaurant, amazing service and obviously the great diversity of fish & sea food that has a quality well over the price. Amazing falls short so go and repeat
Guillermo R — Google review
Affordable and delicious seafood. Every tourist must visit. Just buy a 1 kg mix plate seen in the photo and be happy. Tested personally during my Cadiz visit.

The best fresh seafood you will get for the best price. I highly recommand.. it was so good i went there 2 times!

Great value for money. Paella was our favourite. The only downside could be the presence of pigeons outside and a few inside, which might feel a bit uncomfortable. Service was fast and polite, and they patiently served us until the very last minute before closing. Thank you!

Mercado Central, located inside a former convent, is a bustling marketplace where you can experience the lively workday atmosphere. The counters are adorned with hanging chorizo and jamon while expert hands slice ham razor thin. Fresh squid is cleaned of its ink and displayed on beds of crushed ice. It's a great spot to grab a bite and soak in the local culture. Additionally, it offers one of the best views of the Cathedral and sea wall, making it an ideal stop for tourists.
Magnificent place for a bus stop! Tourists can get off here for probably one of the best views of the Cathedral and sea wall.

Mercado Central de Abastos de Cádiz is a bustling market offering a variety of goods, including produce, meat, fish, and household items. It is one of the oldest covered markets in Spain and is known for its seafood selection, featuring clams, winkles, mantis shrimps, murex, razor shells, moray eel and tuna. The market also houses a snail stall with live snails.
Amazing place to be. With a great hyper positive atmosphere you will enjoy the best food for an incredible low price. Almost no tourists around ( but us) u will smell the sweet air of Spanish food/good living. We had several small dishes which u eat at the tables around and enjoy nice wine for 2.5 euro per glass. Definitely a place to learn Spanish culture:-)

A huge indoor fish market , which is just great to wander through . Made me wish I was self catering because the fish and seafood was all super fresh and really good value too ! The market has meat and cheese stalls , along with a few others , which circle the outside . There are a few bars and cafes down at the bottom end , but be ready to speak Spanish ! Try your best , they appreciate it ! Great place to explore .

#1 groceries and fishing The different market stalls offer a wide variety of groceries, bakery products and fish. All products, especially the fish tho, are lined up carefully to pose for the endless camera lenses pointed at them. #2 architecture This represents the perfect harmony of old and modern market place architecture. The long extended straight roofs form a sort of hall way for the customer to wait in the shade.
Thilo B — Google review
I've never seen such large selection of very fresh fish and seafood anywhere else in Europe. Obviously they sell fresh vegetables, fruits, meat and sausages as well. It's a fantastic market.
Maki E — Google review
This one is not as good as the one in Madrid or Barcelona, However it still has many choices for seafood. We enjoyed the deep fried shrimps and little fishes for our afternoon snack. Very fresh and tasty. Excellent.
Kwokman N — Google review
Nice local fish built in 1838. A lot of food stalls for food and drink. Good to go for lunch. The market opens 9am-3.30pm. Some food stalls stay open for dinner, but a lot less choices.
X Z — Google review
Absolutely love this market. It’s so good for fresh seafood. I love the tapas and seafood stalls outside where you can get food. The best food there is the seafood, plates of prawns for €10. I wouldn’t recommend the croquettes from there just because they end up being okay, but you could eat so much better things. The little sandwich bites are nice. But definitely get seafood and shell fish it’s just so nice. The fried pork belly is also nice. Get a cold beer and seafood. Just the best. So many locals here at lunch just chilling and eating and drinking. Be mindful it will be hard to get seating. Also avoid when they drop off the cruise ship mass tourists! They busy the place up and are so slow to order

It stands as a remnant of the city's defensive walls and is now situated in the middle of a road, making it a bit challenging to capture in photos. However, it remains an impressive sight from a distance.

Centro Comercial Bahía Sur is a waterfront shopping mall that offers a wide range of fashion, cosmetics, and toy stores. It also features a supermarket and fast-food outlets for convenience. The mall provides a stress-free shopping experience with a good mix of stores, including Primark, Zara, Mango, and Lefties. There is also a large Carrefour for all your grocery needs. On weekdays during siesta hours, it tends to be quieter compared to busy Saturdays.
Although San Fernando had the heaviest rain for a long time, they stayed open, and rain was coming through the ceilings in some shops. I bought a pair of beautiful leather boots from Catchalot, which would have cost a lot more in the UK and had a great time.

The shops here are nice but I had to write a review about the cleanliness of this shopping centre. The female toilets were disgusting! Every toilet (and there are about 20) was blocked up and filthy. There was no soap either. I hope the restaurant workers are not using those toilets!

The Church Santa Cruz, also known as the Old Cadiz Cathedral, is a charming parish church located in the seaside city of Cadiz. The church features an airy and rustic sanctuary with a domed roof, adding to its quaint appeal.
This historic church, known as the Old Cathedral of Cádiz, is an absolute gem in the heart of the city. The architecture is stunning, with beautiful vaulted ceilings and an impressive baroque altar. The atmosphere inside is peaceful and contemplative, perfect for reflection. It's remarkable to think about its rich history dating back centuries. A must-visit for anyone interested in religious art and Spanish colonial heritage.

I didn’t go inside as it was past 4:30pm and I still have a few places that I want to see before the sun sets. The exterior of the cathedral is beautiful especially with the sunlight so I took photos from different angle outside of the cathedral.

These 'working' churches that haven't been completely renovated and are frequently used by locals for worship are an excellent find. Very interesting and beautiful to view.

It is highly recommended to bring your significant other along as they are sure to adore the experience. The store offers a wide range of delectable treats that would satisfy any sweet tooth.
Aha, we found the genuine chocolatier in Cádiz! There may be others, but there are also mass-market resellers of belgian and french chocolates. These are made fresh from top-notch ingredients; you can even find single-source chocolate here. We bought chocolates in lovely decorative STEEL boxes so that they will survive the journey home in our luggage; the tins are collectibles, too. Aside from all the creative custom chocolate creations (birthday candles, hand tools, high-heeled shoes, and more!) they have an excellent selection of singles behind the glass. This is what brought me back. They offer a "capricho" of two pieces of chocolate for 1.5 euros... the best deal on custom handmade chocolates in Cádiz! Oh, one more thing that put this place on my Favorites map: the hot chocolate. Go ahead, let her convince you to try the hot chocolate made with water, not milk. She is right: the flavor is more intense that way. Best hot chocolate I've ever had. Wow. It's a small cup so you'll finish it before it gets cold ...that's a feature, not a bug. ;-)

Just Visiting, Nice place for Shopping, a wide variety of clothing options, if you speak Spanish perfect place to visit as Spanish is widely spoken here. Well maintained stores. I liked the outdoors section of clothing and they have a lot or English or British style 😊.

We purchased a dishwasher and a fridge from this store, and both appliances stopped working. Since May 9th, 2025, we have contacted the store and their service hotline numerous times. The result? Nothing. Several technician appointments were scheduled – some technicians never showed up. The problem remains, and we’re left without essential appliances for two months now. The customer service has been shockingly bad: • Hotline staff are unhelpful, dismissive, and at times even rude. • No one takes responsibility. • We are constantly being told to “wait” or “call back later.” • No follow-ups, no solutions – just complete indifference. This is by far the worst after-sales service we’ve ever experienced. Once they have your money, they simply do not care. Save yourself the frustration – stay away from this store.
Marina K — Google review
Looking for a microwave was confusing, there were many options on display but below only two or three kinds to take away. Maybe there's a secret room where the preferred are stored? Assistance seemed impossible, the one or two employees dealing with queues at the tills. On the bright side, upstairs in Hipocor I bought a microwave AND a toaster for 100€, Way to go!

El Pan de Cadiz is a delightful confection that combines bread dough with a luscious marzipan filling, making it a beloved treat especially during the festive Christmas season. This sweet delicacy can also be found in variations like Turron de Cadiz, which features sugar-coated fruits nestled within the almond-sugar-egg mixture.

The frozen shake was super expensive, the waffle was also expensive and on top of that it was microwaved, at home I make them better. Two waffles and a frozen shake for €12. I ask for a glass of water and on top of taking 3 hours to bring it, the glass looked dirty. I won't come back. (Original) El servicio es pésimo. El ambiente es de personas mayores, no recomiendo este sitio para gente joven. El batido helado super caro, el gofre también caro y encima era de microondas, en mi casa los hago más buenos. If you're a wine enthusiast, Magerit is an absolute must-visit! This charming wine merchant boasts an impressive selection that spans across various regions, including dedicated sections for sherries and brandies as well as wines from the Cadiz province. During my recent visit, I was once again captivated by the extensive array of hard-to-find spirits and wines offered at reasonable prices. The service provided by Maribel was exceptional—her attentiveness and expertise truly set this place apart from others in the area.
I visited this establishment 3 years ago and just returned again today and was still amazed of the small place that has such a large selection of wines from all regions and hard to find spirits at very fair prices, the service by Maribel was nothing but attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, all the factors that I have not found in other stores in the area. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a specific bottle of wine or spirits.

I do not understand all the positive reactions. When i visited the shop, the shop keeper was not interested in giving me any information about some products that i was interested in discovering. I bought a bottle of a local product. She did not have any material to wrap it for safety. I had the overal impression that i was not welcome and that she did not like her job. Afterwards i discovered that the bottle i bought leaks. I am not going to try to get my money back. When i read the reactions of the shopkeeper on other reviews that where about problems, i think i have no chance. I will pour it down the drain. Reaction after the shop keepers allegations: I expected the reaction of the shop keeper: she makes a habit of accusing the unsatisfied customer or the purchase as fake. First of all I am not a man. Second, I bought a local product, not a wine and third, you can not find me in the tickets you have, because it contains numbers. Since you don't remember me, I assume that you are unfriendly and unhelpfull to more customers.

On the day review. What a disappointment! On a single day cruise visit we specifically sought out this shop based on the positive reviews. We went to buy whiskey. Unfortunately access to the small alcove where the whisky was on display was blocked by some ladders. Attempting to get round and take a look, the shop assistant made it very clear no access was allowed so we couldn't browse. My wife asked her if they were selling whiskey and the assistant said no!! No doubt something was lost in translation, she didn't speak English , but still, a shop that has whiskey and won't allow you to browse or buy! Lost sales for them and wasted trip for us so one star merited.

A somewhat surreal experience, particularly for someone who has worked in wine retail for over 25 years. We sought this shop out after reading the reviews. It does indeed have a deep and well chosen selection of wines and spirits, as well as an extensive range of sherry. There is a small section to the rear of the shop with more exclusive bottles. I asked if it was ok if I looked at this section and the lady running the place somewhat abruptly said 'no'. I was a little surprised so I smiled and with a slightly puzzled look I said with a question, 'no?' She looked at me with a hard expression and repeated 'no'. Bizarre. I would almost certainly have bought a special - and expensive - bottle. So we left and won't return. Not with that kind of attitude. Wine should be sold with passion and enthusiasm. Rudeness isn't a part of retail, particularly what when you're selling is so full of history.

We've visited this wonderful boutique jeweller several times, and each time we've discovered unique, beautifully handcrafted pieces. Antonio is an absolute gem himself—warm, welcoming, and talented. With around 60 years of experience in jewellery making, his craftsmanship is exceptional. When we needed some adjustments to our purchase, he kindly took us to his workshop at the back of the store, where he showed us his tools, explained his process, and shared the fascinating story of how he began his journey in jewellery making. A truly special man and a master of his craft! 100% recommended. Thank you for everything!

It used to be a place of craftmanship and quality when the father of the current owner was still working, but now is just mediocre at best. If you use what you need to sharpen for your job, do not bring it here. After I left some working knives to be sharpened here, I got them back so poorly charpened and with such lack of care that I needed an entire evening to fix the blades and make them razor sharp once again. In conclusion, do not bring your knives here, you are better off using water stones and you own hands.
