It is a great place to learn about Bulgarian culture and history. I enjoyed visiting it in March 2025. It has a beautiful garden, so it is also good spot for taking break in touring the city.

In the first place I bought myself a cheap student ticket because I had to go on the included toilet very urgent, but after I came to peace with this I really enjoyed the exhibition showing Bulgarians' customs and tradition. Worth-visiting place if you're in town in my opinion!

This is a nice cultural museum with nice items they used in the old times. There is a 4.50 euros ticket to get in. It is a huge museum to see a lot of folclore things.

I find everything well explained and illustrated..it was an honour to find out about bulgarian culture and traditions, from their crafting, to the costumes and the everyday life. Also the visiting price is really affordable and there is a reductions for students. I recommend a visit to this nice museum!

This is an important archaeological site in both Plovdiv and Bulgaria, with finds dating back 6000 years! It’s free to visit (which is unusual), and is far more than just a place to watch the sunset. There’s excellent signage in Bulgarian and English - spend a few minutes exploring this important site of cultural heritage.

Nebet Tepe is one of the most beautiful and historic spots in Plovdiv. The walk up the hill is short and pleasant, and once you reach the top, you’re rewarded with an excellent 360° view of the city, especially breathtaking at sunset. You can clearly see the Old Town rooftops, the modern city below, and even the surrounding hills. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, perfect for a quiet break or a photo stop. Very nice park, great for kids. There are nice play areas with swings for kids. Safe for kids. There is a lot to do for kids and adults. Lots of trees and shades. Many good seating areas, and fountains. I recommend visit here when you're in Plovdiv.

Part of the guru free walking tours, which shows the design of the forum/ shopping area from Roman times, it helps to have already seen the stadium ruins to get a feel for the size of the Roman stoneworks. Huge blocks. Moved and set in walls and buildings. Even the roads set with massive stones

Amazing park so well maintained. It is very clean. There are nice fun fairs for children to play. The fountain is very beautiful. The walk in the park is lovely. It is a nice place to chill and read a book or enjoy a refreshement in the summer.

Hindliyan’s House is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved examples of Plovdiv’s rich history. Hindliyan house has the best interior and also the. Biggest of the houses with the painted alafranga in most of the upper rooms. The steam room was also impressive and different to the other house. It also had old furniture. The 1st living was absolutely huge with lovely rose water fountain aromatising the floor. This did not have an art gallery inside it closed for lunch between 123-1300. And open Tuesday to Sunday 0930-1800.

Hindliyan House is one of the most beautiful private residences I have seen in my travels. The numerous gorgeous wall murals, wooden furniture and unique 2 areas bathroom added many pages to my impression of how beautiful houses can be. One area which I am really attracted to are the beautiful wall murals. It is drawn by master craftsman of the days and showcases many parts of Europe such as Venice. It is intentionally drawn in the curved corner in the middle of a wall to give the impression the scenery is viewed from a window. In addition, the ceilings have beautiful patterns weaved onto them (shown in photos). I didn't know I will pay so much attention to ceilings during my visits 😂 If you’re drawn to visit Plovdiv because of heritage and culture, this is one stellar example of Bulgarian architecture you definitely shouldn’t miss.

It is a beautiful historical house, but we went after 18.00 because the weather was hot and it was closed. If you want to enter the garden and examine the house, you must pay attention to the visiting hours.

During September it already stopped singing and the variety of actions was límited (comparing to other big fountains in other countries) but I still enjoyed it very much - there is calm and positive atmosphere around this place :)

This is an amazing park to visit. The fountain looks impressive. I wish I could see it dancing with lights and music. The whole park is a treasure and an excellent place to relax and breath fresh air.

Totally enchanting! Visit when it's dark but before 22:00 because the music stops then. There is a lovely bar restaurant where you can enjoy the show with a drink or food. You must see this if you visit Plovdiv!

Lovely retreat away from the heat in Plovdiv in the Summer. At the far end of the pedestrian zone, opposite the main post office. Chess is played in the evening by locals.

Very nice place. It is a quiet place with lots of places to sit and relax. The singing fountains are singing only in the summer as I have heard. But still, at night the sprinklers are colorful and "dancing". There is also a place to sit and have a drink and admire the place. The park is also very beautiful an clean. I recommend visiting at night and day.

It was our first time when we visited Plovdiv Central Square. Our friends showed us this wonderful place. There were a few people around enjoying the music and the spectacular fountain performance. But be aware there were hips of mosquitos around, so bring repellent spray.

Great place to hang around

This is the most fascinating ancient structure that I visited in Plovdiv. I visited the place on an afternoon when it was about to close, so the employee offered me a private 3-D film viewing. The movie recreates the competitions at the stadium almost two thousand years ago. A part of it is underneath a store, so you have to enter it through a store.

It's a pity that the city has built roads and shops above the stadium and you can only see a piece of such an ancient Byzantine gem. The most outrageous thing is that there is also a bar located in the centre of the stadium.

Another historic place found in the heart of one of the oldest cities in Europe. Definitely drop an eye on it as it is literally in the center. Almost as old as the Theatre, built by Emperor Hadrian!

A buried stadium that only has a small portion of it excavated, but the rest are still buried, because the city of Plovdiv has been built on top of it. Amazing!

The center of Plovdiv sits over the ancient ruins of Philipopolis and the Ancient Stadium is just a small portion of the excavated complex. The stadium is right next to the Djumaya mosque and the visible part of a non-excavated hiphodroome. There used to be a nice cafe here overlooking the ruins, before the site was devoted to its historic significance. The remaining portion of the hiphodroome runs to the post office building on the opposite side of the main walking street, where one can see the ruins of the Episcopal palace. There is a working elevator at the side of the Djumaya mosque to the ground level and a video explaining the layout of the stadium in ancient times. Not to be confused with the working Ancient Theater at just a short walking distance in the Old Town.

Alex was our server and absolutely fantastic. He is an amazing person and took care of all of us well. Food and drinks were so great, we are coming back next day before we leave the country. We ordered about 14 different dishes and every one of them were delicious. Best of all, Happy Bread was to die for and Alex did awesome job taking care of us. Thank you.

Wow - our first visit to a Happy Bar& Grill and it was great. We had walked past a few times and it always had a queue outside. Today we were lucky and managed to get a table inside straight away. The menu is immense with so much choice - contained all our lunchtime favourites. Couldn’t make up our minds so went for a few dishes - salmon and tuna poke bowls, calamari, shrimps and some sushi. All tasted great and so fresh. Our waiter was really good and friendly. Super atmosphere inside

Absolutely huge menu, especially a whole separate sushi menu at the time. If you can’t find something you like with this menu that’s a you problem. Extremely friendly service from Mira and quickly served despite a full restaurant, yes it’s a chain restaurant but amazing location too!

We were introduce by our tour guide to eat here for a good quick bite.The food was definitely great and has a huge selection and variety. But they are not fast, and we almost miss our bus back to Sofia. But it does have good vibe and we's still recommend it.

It is really nice place to have Bulgarian or balkan food in general. The staff is quite attentive and friendly. They have good variety of dishes to choose from. It is simple, delicious and fast service.

I think Happy is a favorite for people in Bulgaria, because I’ve visited branches in Sofia (two different locations), Ruse, and now here. They’re always busy and mostly full, especially at dinner. They offer a wide range of dishes—from Asian to Western—and the quality is generally good; the portions are generous and worth the money. Unfortunately, the Protein Menu here isn’t as extensive as it is in Sofia. I ordered a poke bowl, and it tasted just like at the other branches, which was satisfying. It’s really hard to get the waiters’ attention, though—they’re almost always very busy.

Food was presented beautifully and the flavor was very good. I would recommend the calamari along with the tagliatelle with prosciutto for lunch. They have a very nice breakfast and the most exotic coffee in the world if you desire. The cheesecake is a nice dessert and not too sweet. The interior ambiance is wonderful for any occasion.

I don't know why it is so hard for some people to be pleasant. I do understand that you have very limited skills in English but that's no excuse to make paying customers uncomfortable. We had a terrible time at your restaurant. Your customer service and especially your manners should be polished. We were telling our tour group how rude the people were at Atlas restaurant, as that's our assessment of your service staff.

Sat down for some cocktails Sept 25th 3pm and both were really bad. One had no sweetness and tasted sour and bland (mojito) and one had salt sitting in the bottom and tasted like horrible salt water (margarita). Asked the waiter if the salt was supposed to be in the drink and that it tasted bad and he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Plovdiv is a lovely place but Atlas bar doesn't belong there.

An extremely elegant and refined restaurant in the very heart of town. And apart from the location, there’s also a lot to be said about the cuisine: all dishes are presented in a fascinatingly sophisticated way and most even taste good! I personally love the indoor halls, especially the second floor which must be one of the best restaurant interiors in town with its simplicity and timelessness! There’s room for improvement in the way of service quality. Most waiters seem inexperienced and confused but I can look past that. Overall a fantastic place especially if you’re looking to experiment with tastes.

The interior is very nice, and the menu has a lot of options on it. We were arriving late in the evening so we ordered ahead, and unfortunately our orders got mixed up and we ended up getting the same food for each course. The waiter was a bit abrupt when serving, but overall the food tasted nice.

Hasn't changed in 10 years, no airconditioning even when it's >40°C (can't be good for the historical objects), the English translation is really poor or non-existent. It's nice to see once I guess if you want to learn about the unification and that time period, but go when it's not so hot.

DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM! Did my all caps grab your attention? At the moment, this museum houses artifacts and things associated with the unification of Bulgaria. Perhaps interesting to Bulgarians, but not much other context for foreigners like myself.

The museum is great, especially for history geeks or people genuinely interested in the period around the unification of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia. As a small downside I can say that the museum is not exactly modern or interactive, but the extremely valuable (historically) and interesting exhibits, the historic location and the welcoming personnel make up for this.

Regional Archaeological Museum Plovdiv is home to the Panagyurishte Treasure, a Thracian treasure. The objects on display are replicas (for security reasons).

This is a very good museum, though history of humanity is mostly about wars and only two small rooms represent science. You can see old computers and phones inside and also products of tobacco, soviet times history is also presented

8 leva for a room with a few exhibits and the mosaic is a total rip-off. I was supposed to see another museum for the same ticket but that was closed when I got to it 15 minutes later. There are better, more interesting places to see in the city

The main attraction here is the mosaic revealed when they were digging for the passage. There is also a roman road. Explanations are interesting, but it is just regular.

Interesting artefacts, but not worth the price. You're out in max 15 min. There's also some items with are a mix of tracian and modern art, which are not explained/described, at all.

This is a great place to visit. The cost to enter is 5 leva per person. The main exhibit is the remnants of an old house. The only thing left is the mosaic floors, but they are well preserved. They also have a lovely exhibit of ancient glass. Make sure to notice the floor in the public access way under the highway. It dates from Roman times and is still in every day use.

It is a very beautiful place but poorly maintained - as the toilets, the binoculars, the fans… but I guess no one in that place is really concerned by those details, so I took a couple of photos so they would know!

This museum is state of the art with videos, info in both Bulgarian and English, detailed info on the restoration process, a 3D recreation - all the latest museum tech to maximize the visitor experience! And yet all of this still serves the real star - the mosaics! I’ve traveled widely and I’ve rarely seen such a large collection of mosaics, the layers of mosaics, and the painstaking amount of effort and time needed to restore them. Bulgaria and Plovdiv are to be commended for this huge investment in their cultural heritage. You can buy a combo ticket, this plus two other nearby sites - worth the price to help support ongoing preservation. There are free lockers, and very nice restrooms. And air conditioning in the heat. 😊 Fair warning, I was there much longer than I’d expected! Definitely worth your time!

Interesting site that truly stands out due to the sheer scale of its mosaic work, covering over 2,000 square meters. It’s a state of the art museum site. Exceptionally well done. The floor space that is under mosaics is massive. However - probably because it’s such a huge space that has been tiled - the mosaic tiles themselves are quite large. This obviously detracts from the fineness of the end result. It is more if a pattern floor than an exercise in art. I have seen many more beautiful Roman mosaics around the world. However this is still very impressive in its own way

Simply B E A U T I F U L. A must see in Plovdiv! The mosaics are HUGE, you must see them to understand. The sheer size of them is truly impressive. The transparent glass path takes you throughout the museum and allows you to see the mosaics from all angles. These mosaics are unique by the huge number of birds that they represent. Everything is explained well: the Thracian and Christian meaning behind all these birds, how the mosaics were made, how they were excavated etc. A museum equal to the level of the best Western European and American exhibitions! Both layers of the mosaics are exposed (the first one was damaged by an earthquake so the Romans just superimposed a whole new layer on the damaged one). The gift shop also has some good stuff. There is also a learning area for kids on the second floor.

An incredible blend of preservation, educational history, and artistic beauty! Each placard is interesting and informative, and the curators have taken great care to showcase the most fascinating parts of the project while still preserving the integrity to allow for future work. The children's area has entertaining activities, even for adults! If you see only one thing in Plovdiv, it should be this. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This small but charming museum is perfect for families, especially on days when the weather isn’t ideal for outdoor play. While it’s not huge, it stands out with its interactive exhibits, particularly the dinosaur installations, which kids absolutely love. The fish aquarium is another highlight, adding to the fun and educational experience. The ticket prices are reasonable, making it a great value for a few hours of entertainment. If you’re looking for a kid-friendly spot that’s more engaging than a typical museum, this is an excellent choice!

I really have to say I am just shocked. The museum has some parts with big collections of plants, insects and other animals. But some items of the collection were broken even though that is not the worst thing. In the middle of the museum is an aquarium with lots of fishes and even an Nile crocodile. The cages of the animals where way too small and you could clearly see that they were unhappy. Many animals were completly lonely in their cages and the cages were really dirty. The drinking water was so old, plants and mold had already grown at the bottom of the plastic containers. The turtles had no place where they could rest and I just feared they would drown any moment in the water because of exhaustion. I think it would be better to just led the animals free or find another better place for them. Instead the museum could focus more on their collection. (Some parts of the collection were just paper which was painted)

At first the museum was a little messy but fine, after about 3 rooms you run into an aquarium/terrarium section which is frankly cruel. This area consists of a couple small rooms with animals in even smaller cages, some of them not even being able to turn around or crammed in a cage with other animals. If you in any way, shape or form care about animals DO NOT VISIT! (They also use AI generated images which seems really unprofessional for a museum.)

Not exactly a museum, but they have a nice collection. There are moving dinosaur models which I recommend it for children. There are temporary shows in the Planaterium hall but you need to buy another ticket for that. There is no museum shop but there is a very small gift shop.

An excellent museum,with a vast collection of species of animals,99% of them are real and taxidermised, with a wide range of topics,from birds, forest animals,savanna animals, cave animals,rodents,insects,parasites,a very big and rich aquarium,with many many species of rare fishes that you wont see anywhere else, arctic animals,a room with jellyfish and urchins that are alive,another room with some of the most known and lethal microbes that exist (dont worry these are fake and absolutely safe),that gives you info on how the look if magnified and what is their operation in the body. They even have a beautiful butterfly room which conditions mimic those of the tropical forests so the very much alive butterflies in it can enjoy their life in a natural habitat! They also have a section of precious stones,metals and salts, with many kinds if them,which is quite rich! And if all this wasnt enough the staff that works there are very polite and helpful, especially Mina in the butterfly room! Thank you for the amazing experience!!

My kids had a great time. They love animals. They especially enjoyed the aquarium section. It's not a huge museum, but definitely was perfect for our family and a short afternoon outing.

Unexpectiy large and rich in items, although a bit too old-style design. Also, living creatures, I think, are better off being in the wild. Other than that - nice to visit, especially with kids.

A small hilltop worth a short visit. The view of the city at the clock tower is amazing, with the landscape composed of colorful buildings, the blue sky and also opposite hilltops. While you are there, take a moment to soak in the tranquility of the place as well as the taste/smell of the fresh air. Not much tourists here so definitely a plus for me. The walk up/down the hill may be slightly challenging due to the cobblestone floors and the altitude. But nothing too challenging and the top is worth your while. There are short steeper paths not reflected online so people with better fitness can take them.

We took the short 15-minute hike up the hill and it was amazing. The view on top is nice and there are benches to chill everywhere. If you want to relax for some time this is a good option.

One of the smaller hills of Plovdiv but it's right by the city centre. There are several different trails up the hill. There is the normal paved road up and there are several less travelled paths through the bush and over the rocks. All are easy and even if heights are not your thing, it's quite manageable. However when you sit on the huge rocks at the top and see all of old town before you or capture a beautiful sunset, it's quite magical.

It's a beautiful park with a cute functioning clock tower. Being very close to city centre makes it very accessible. The view is amazing. Good place for taking pictures. You can see the famous Alyosha and Youth Hill together from a perfect angle on Danov hill. Sunset is the best time to be up there.

Beautiful outside. Very dirty and smelly inside. Nothing incredible. Women must wear something on their heads to cover the hair. And weird fact: I didn't see any women in there , not even Ottoman women. Not recommend.

A great indicator of the cultural melting pot that is Plovdiv. Centrally located, this 14th century mosque is well maintained and beautifully decorated. The architecture is amazing and the exterior looks gorgeous at night with the golden light shining on it. Entrance is free! So take a visit at this religious gem when in Plovdiv.

So, we ordered a lamb steak (picture attached) and we expected a plate with mixed meat. We received a plate with 4 lamb chops and when we asked about the rest, the server said the picture was only a reference and not the real plate. I was ready to give 3 stars but then I tried the lamb chops and they were Really Good. So I’m giving them 4, but still beware of what you see wont necessarily be what you get. I ordered a portion of Baklava too, there are 4 in the menu, but we received 3.

Sofra is hands down one of the best kebab restaurants I’ve ever been to. The meat was perfectly grilled—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Came here for lunch around 230pm and ordered the sour lamb soup as well as a Chicken Shish plate. Food was great. I like the taste of the spiced BBQ chicken, quite different from other foods I tried. Loved the sour taste of the creamy soup as well. There are a wide variety of sweets as well but I didn't take them as I was too full. They looked tasty though. Service rating is average of 2 different attendants. I asked for WiFi. One of them, slightly older male, just nonchalantly told me it was not working and walked off. After that he did not bother at all. The other one, a younger guy with many facial hair, was great. He was attentive and also helped me with the WiFi. The vibe is good. I loved to eat on the tables by the street at the alleys. I only get this feeling when I am eating outdoors in Europe. Lucky for me too the weather is good

Amazing place if you want to try Lebanese cuisine! We were seated at a table for 6 and enjoyed the whole experience, because we did not just have a dinner but an entire cultural experience! We had a wonderful experience . The food was absolutely delicious — we especially enjoyed the Kofta Kebab, Arayes, Tabbouleh, and Fattoush. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance was cozy and welcoming. This open air coffee shop is the only one I’ll go to in Plovdiv if I want a relaxing chill vibe similar to the cafes in the West. The workers are super nice and chatty, unlike every other cafe in Plovdiv. They also speak perfect English and support local artists. WiFi is fast and there are comfy chairs and tables.

Probably the first 3rd wave coffee place established in Plovdiv long before Kapana was even planned, this is still me favorite calming spot...just hidden away 50m from the hordes. An iconic Plovdiv cafe & bar that every nightlife person visiting Plovdiv has to enjoy. Famous spot for local artists and cool crowd. Very popular venue for small concerts and art events. The cafe area covers largely the cobbled pedestrian street as well which creates a homey atmosphere. Easygoing barman with awesome sense of humour that plays great music. One of the coolest places in the city for sure!

Instead of having good ventilation and air purifiers they've chose to use that Room Freshener everywhere that just stinks. We were in the inner part which has no windows, looks and feels like "bunker", no natural light, even the chosen light was very poor, suitable only for bar. The menu is extremely poor on choices for children.

We waited for two portions of meatballs for an hour and a half. This is unacceptable for an elite restaurant like this. There is a refined atmosphere, but there is no organization and communication between the waiters and the chefs.

Good food, both the seafood and pizza are great, it's quite loud most of the time, but mainly because there are a lot of customers and kids playing around. A bonus is the car wash on the side of the restaurant, you could leave the car there and have a good business lunch. Not cheap, especially for the neighborhood, but the food is top notch.

Very nice place, cozy interior, nice kids playground makes it excellent choice for families with kids. Very kind and fast service, so definitely 5 stars for service and interior. The place is somehow away from center part so visiting by car is almost a must, unfortunately finding free parking place is a hard task. Food was very delicious and nice. The order came very fast. It is a beautiful hill with paved and unpaved trails good for hiking, biking or casual walking. I wonder if it has the highest point in Plovdiv, offering a spectacular view of the beautiful ciy.

Beautiful park and hillside with outstanding trails, paths and woods. Fresh air and you are actually in the city. The tranquility and beauty that Bunardzhika brings is wonderful. There is the opportunity to workout all hours of the day. There are lanes for cyclists and a separate lane for tourists and visitors. Very nice fountains. The park is located in the middle of the city and this is even more convenient because you don't have to go far away to chill in a clean place in nature. A must visit in Plovdiv.

A short 30 min hike from the city center, narrow alleys full with flowers and once you get to the top, you probably get the best view over the city.

Many tracks covered by the shades where lead to the top of the hill. A place where suitable for adults and children to visit. Saw many people walking their dogs, too.

Increasing the gym price every 3rd or 4th month is absolutely rediculous.. from 50 lev to 60, 70, 80 and now 89 a month soon will probably get to the 100 lev.. closets in the locker room went half size on the other hand.. new set of dumbles and few repetitive machines that everybody can do without wont justify the double prices. Inflation in Bulgaria is not 100% as well.

Too many stairs and lack of signage. Some ledges were too low (duck your head). The place was clean, which significantly aids in the consideration of organizing future sport events.

Design is for basketball, hockey, or some other Arena sport. We went for a concert and the seat setup was average at best. Floor seats are on a flat surface and the stage is not more than 4’ high so the view from 30 rows back from the stage is poor. Elevated seats further back are ok but pretty far away. So not ideal for concerts. Very good parking in the building. Clean place.

The best gym in Plovdiv. I train at least 3 times a week. Very convenient parking for members and non-members. It has a spa center and swimming pool as well.

This is a great track. You have to earn each kart by beating a certain time is the previous kart and the rx250 is proper fun once you get to it. For the first 2 karts (sr5 and sr4) and the double kart you don't actually need to touch the brake at all. I find the tb kart a little slippy and less fun than the sr4. The rx250 is much more of a challenge, really letting you make mistakes if you aren't careful. The staff and lovely and friendly and speak English well. The track has a really fun layout, a good home straight to let you build up a good head into 2 sweeping right turns before the first sharp turn, a wideish hairpin takes you to the first chicane, then another 180 and easy right to the second chicane leads to the last sweeping right into the straight again. Fun, fast and technical - I love this place! Also, as of yesterday I hold the track record for the doubles kart and my daughter can't get enough either! Oh, almost forget, there are 2 sets of kids karts too. Rubbish coin operated things for 3 year olds and absolutely excellent electric karts for slightly older kids (maybe 5 to 12 year olds? Not sure the age range exactly). They have their own separate mini track to race on and the staff can increase or limit the speed of those karts on the fly depending on your kids ability via a tablet. They have enough oomph to get a little sideways on the curves too so are a real thrill for little kids.

Amazing experience. Huge respect to people working there. So patient and helpful and understanding. We were with kid , 3 years old, he is in love with the kids karting . Same as the adult, I have taken kid with me and was feeling very safe, thanks to detailed instructions

Karting track for all ages. There is a small route suitable for small children and there is the route for adults. The staff adheres to safety rules and an explanation is given as required. 15 minutes of driving for 35 lava. Really fun and highly recommended. There is an outdoor bar. The complex also has a bowling alley and billiards

I loved the track, and the karts are amazing. They have it set up so that everytime you get a certain time, the give you a faster kart. It gives you a goal. The staff explains everything that you have to know and answer any and all questions.

SCAMMERS! I paid 20lv for 2 games of bowling. At the beginning of the second game after 1 turn the bowling session ended abruptly. I asked why and they said I played my games which was not true. They then told me I only paid for 1 game because they charge per game and per person which is also not true according to the website. The lady lied to me and stole my money. Unbelievable.

First time visiting this establishment. Took my daughter to play pool and some bowling. It was empty. The pool tables were just fine. Even had a lower table just for kids. We had fun, then went on to the bowling alley. The alleys appear reasonably well kept, only the bowling balls are in need of renewal. Lots of gouges and Knicks on the surface. Not pleasant to grip. I would go again just for the bowling as my daughter really enjoyed that. Three stars only as it was first time and not busy. Will need to see what it's like on a busy day.

The bowling ground isn’t maintained in a good condition. The ball almost jumps at every throw you do. Everything is in bad condition for a high price 45Lv for an hour. If you wanna have a real bowling experience I don’t recommand this place at all.

Nice mall, massage chairs, shops, but a lot of the staff is not meant to work with people. Angry reactions when you walk into a shop while the staff is on the phone. The foodcourt had two cafe stands, one is very busy the other one has a grumpy girl working there, beeing rude when she thought i would make her work, but i walked away when i noticed her attitude. There is a big Texas Chicken Sign on the outside of the mall, but inside at the spot where its meant to be is just a small disappointing "Chicken Guy" stall. The Billa cashier Lady was lovely.

Nearly brand new single terminal 20 km far from Plovdiv, there is no public transportation from the airport to town, shuttle runs from airport to central station two hours and half from scheduled flights for 5 euros per person I tried to call to be sure of it but they don’t speak English, airport security agent are very kind, airport shop is very expensive 3 euros for crisps or a coke, we went here by taxi for 15 euros.

Super quick security check. Everyone is very polite and professional and I’d love to use this airport any time I could…I wish they have more flight coming out of Bulgaria from here. Super clean bathrooms and enough space to sit and wait for your flight. Definitely recommend

Small and pretty basic airport in the middle of nothing. Asked me to take the shoes off😂No drinking water if your looking for this, unless you like water from the tap in the toilet. Only one shop after the security and it's damn expensive. Very limited airlines flight from/to it.

I was quite impressed by the staff assistance and care they have shown to me as I had mobility problems.God bless Violetta who helped me g to o carry my staff to the plane and helped me to settle. The airport was very clean and the staff spoke English. But I am afraid that I need to say that passengers need to lock their suitcases bcse my suitcase was opened and they took all the cigarettes from my suitcase. Shall I call them thieves? I would like to know why have they taken my cigarettes. They are so cheap in Bulgaria in comparison with London. I am so upset… I have told my friends to lock their suitcases, they will be flying from this airport on the 29 August.

Airport facility itself is good. Check-in, screening and passport control were fine. It is, however, a dual-use, civilian and military, airport. What is unfathomable is that a flight from a civilian airport with one flight per day(!) should be delayed by +3-hours, with the resulting inconvenience for everyone on board, because of the peacetime military use of the airport at the same time as a scheduled departure. There are 24-hours in a day, surely someone could have thought to schedule the military usage during one of the other 23 hours, no?

There are a number of BIG problems with this attraction. The organisers fill the train carriages with passengers starting from the front carriage, using seat numbers on the tickets. This results in the first one or two carriages being very full of people and the last carriage being empty. You are not allowed to choose or change your own seat. The carriages are tiny, each carriage is expected to hold 18 passengers in the tiny space. The carriage doors are locked, from the outside, by the staff just before departure. There is no way for the passengers to open the door from the inside in an emergency. This is wholly unacceptable. The route is short, with scenery that is not attractive; just scrub and some trees. Nothing inspiring, no great views en-route. After a short while you reach the poorly named ‘Panorama Station’, where you are told by the staff that you have a 5 minute break before returning to the train’s start point. The publicity material stated that from this station the passengers can “…enjoy the breathtaking view on the hill”. The view from this station is certainly NOT breathtaking (see photo)! The top of the hill is a further 25 minutes walk from the station, if you do want to enjoy some breathtaking views. The railway is old, of short duration, has poor views and is not safe (locked carriage doors!). I cannot recommend, despite its ridiculously low price (1 BGN).

I didn't expect much as it's just 2 BGN, but I was still disappointed. The atraction together with the staff has frozen in communistic era of Todor Zivkov. It's hot inside, there is no air and I would not go even for free again. The whole area is abandoned.

Needs renovation. Seems old and dirty. The council needs to invest a little as this is a great attraction for the children. Unfortunately the park is not well manned which makes the view from the train not that impressive. But for the kids is great experience.

Really great, but only for kids! Ticket price is 1 Lev (both: kids and adults) The road trip is much interesting rather than finish point. In summer it’s really hot inside of the cabin. Anyway this is the most interesting entertainment in the park.

Adorable experience! The little train commutes through the really nice park on real train tracks . There are two stations- this one here is where the train starts, at least during the winter. The fare is 1 LEV pP, no matter what age. Dogs are not allowed. Length of the ride is approx 20 min incl a short break at the top station. You don’t get much of a view, but it‘ exiting for the little ones and really cute.

DO NOT GO ON A HOT DAY!! There is little ventilation and it gets hot really quickly!! We ride the train a couple times each time we visit Plovdiv. Fun for kids, our kids are 3 & 5. There is a playground and a lot of room to run/walk on trails also. Ticket price is only 1 lev per person but the train fills up quick on the weekends and in summer. I recommend calling for a reservation or getting there early.

We went in this trip on a Sunday morning, catching the 10:30 train. It took almost 30 minutes to get to the panorama train station, to see the communist part of the city, and then back. The ride is romantic, with a tunnel with painted fish. It is made for small children, so adults will find it uncomfortable and during summer very very hot as it is not ventilated.

I ordered through the app and paid for my order ( big order for few people) and stated my address and everything and silly enough the restaurant still needed a confirmation call but due to my number being an English one they couldn't get a hold of me so they left it like that without trying any other way to contact me (WhatsApp - as other restaurants have done it before and never had an issue) and they canceled my order after 30/35 min since I placed it. Thanks to those "lovely" people me and my family won't be eating anything tonight as it's 2:00 am and it's too late and everything else is closed. The app as well has a fault for letting this "confirmation calling" kind of system to be out there for no reason, which is making it hard for foreign customers and tourists and will continue to make it in the future too. I most definitely don't recommend this to anyone.

Whoever said better go to McDonalds is absolutely wrong. The meat here is real, the bread is real, the cheese is real. The atmosphere is indie and the service is great! People are in a hurry but they don’t burden you with it, they still are very kind and take the time to take your order. Finally, the prices are beyond good and are better than McDonalds too, but in McFake everything is artificial from the cheese to the meat, so you can guess which is better.

The capacity is 200 kids, I'd strongly recommend it be half full and then approved by the institutions. Seriously doubt that.

Unfortunately, my experience at ATLAS HOUSE Luxury Suites in Plovdiv was disappointing. Upon arrival, the receptionist nervously put out a cigarette she had just been smoking, which was quite unprofessional. We were given only one key and one access code for the room, which was very inconvenient for a family stay. After checking in, we realized that the sofa bed, which was supposed to accommodate additional guests (I had booked for two adults and two children), was not prepared for sleeping. There were no extra blankets or basic bedding in the wardrobe, something usually standard in most hotels. The balcony door could not be closed properly without locking it, and the balcony itself was extremely dusty, clearly not cleaned for a long time. In the evening, I asked if we could have dinner at the hotel's advertised restaurant (with a 10% discount for hotel guests), but we were told it was not possible. The next morning at breakfast, we were given only one menu for the entire family. After politely asking for a second menu, I received a rather rude answer, but eventually, a second one was provided. Throughout the stay, any question directed to the staff was usually answered with “I'm not sure,” followed by long and confusing consultations with other employees. The hotel itself is superb, the workers there are nice and there weren't anything bad to say, even when we had a key card that didn't work, they fixed it fast and were nice and helpful. The location is perfect, and the rooms were nice and clean. The only reason this review doesn't score 5 stars is do to the breakfast. The service at the accompanying restaurant was lackluster, we had to wait 15 minutes one morning, before even being shown a menu, and all other mornings there were a long wait before the food arrived, and when it did, we every morning got one plate way before the other, so we could eat together. The waiters were satisfactory at best, with them not being kind or helpful in the morning, but getting the job done. So do yourself the service you deserve and find breakfast at another place, so your visit to the beautiful city will be perfect!

The ‘scrambled egg’ comprises a snotty, very undercooked omelette! Inedible, overpriced and a complete rip-off. Go elsewhere!!

Stayed here 3 nights, its a boujee boutique hotel, we stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the square. Very pretty. Good vibe. The man at the reception is helpful and happy. Only downside is NO LIFT!!! The breakfast that's included is very standard, the hot breakfast arrived cold every time. The spinach omlette and banana pancake are the good options on the menu.

We booked the 5-wine tasting and it was absolutely amazing! Desi, the sommelier, was outstanding, knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about her craft. She guided us through the wines with such skill and charm that it made the whole evening truly unforgettable. I thought maybe that was the rule in this bar, although in other places I had seen wine by the glass much more generous filled. Aqualand was the reason we had chosen to stay in Akvalend Hotel. We were happy we did this. It’s a pleasent place to spend 1-2 days with kids. Not crowded, clean, not so many slides or attractions but enough to have lots of fun and find something good for every age. Better food and drinks than in aqua parks in general. Would definately recomand it, if traveling with kids/teens and have time to spend one day in a water fun manner. 10 different attractions for a full day at an entry price of 25 leva / person (10 leva/person if you stay in the hotel).

For only having probably 10 slides, there's a really wide variety: a half-pipe, a flush bowl, a rocket drop thing, several tube rides, a wave pool, and a kiddy land.
