In Forli, the Oratorio di San Sebastiano is a captivating early Renaissance church completed in 1502. While no longer used for religious purposes, it serves as a venue for various art exhibitions throughout the year. The oratory features remarkable frescoes, including one dedicated to the Crucifixion by Marco Palmezzano. (Translated by Google) Church located at the crossroads between Piazza Saffi and Corso della Repubblica, whose first stone was laid in 1723 thanks to bequests from Canon Cristoforo Aspini and his niece Barbara, a family whose coat of arms is represented in the marble floor in the area below the majestic dome. The works ended in 1748, with the exception of the façade which was completed in 1933. The church is embellished with frescoes and works of art. The elliptical plan recalls the Church of S. Maria al Quirinale in Rome. The Sunday and public holiday liturgy is usually accompanied by the sound of the "Callido" organ, so called from the name of the famous Venetian organ builder of the late eighteenth century who worked for a long time in Emilia Romagna. Due to its elegance and solemnity, the place almost plastically represents a concept often recalled by the Rector of Suffrage - Don Paolo Giuliani - that is, of the liturgy as a game, citing the writings of the theologian Romano Guardini who in some way assimilates the liturgy to art, united by the fact that both do not have an end, but rather a meaning. In the liturgy man must not so much educate himself as contemplate the Glory of God.

May 1st is the feast day of St.Peregrine and a lot of religious groups and devoters from all over the world are visiting this church.
Mae D — Google review
The church has a modest appearance on the outside. However, it is well worth a pilgrimage there to pray to St. Peregrine, whose body is encased and preserved in a glass display and accessible for viewing up close, in one of the side chapels. Also, the common prayer room of the monks of the Servants of Mary where the miracle happened is available as well to pilgrims, where he prayed to Jesus on the cross pictured in an elaborate fresco on the wall, and fell asleep and dreamed of the same Jesus from the fresco, descending from the cross and healed his cancer. He woke up and found himself healed. The Church is closed from Noon to 4PM, but if you come to worship St Pellegrino during those hours, you may ring the door bell around the side of the church leading to the convent of the Servants of Mary, and the priests there will be happy to greet you and let you in. They are very kind and welcoming, and eager to talk about their patron saint. I would come back again, even though I have travelled many thousand miles to get here in the first place and found the church locked! I prayed St. Pellegrino, desperately walking around the compound to find some sign of life, and found the doorbell and rang it without much hope, but then a miracle happened for me too! Thank you for this gift of grace and blessings!

(Translated by Google) The church is located a couple of kilometers from the motorway exit, in a rural but not isolated area (some houses are located nearby). The architecture is Romanesque of the basilica type with three naves ending in as many apses. The bell tower is detached and stands on the left side of the viewer. It is massive and is refined by a mullioned window in which a knotted column is housed. The facade of the church is gabled, in red brick. The interior shows residues of frescoes but has been significantly remodeled. The exterior of the apses has small arches under the eaves, some ending with human faces with different expressions. Nestled in a serene atmosphere, the Chiesa del Corpus Domini - Monastero delle Clarisse Urbaniste is a stunning church that likely dates back to medieval times. Over the years, it has undergone various transformations, resulting in its current architectural form. While its beauty is undeniable, some areas—particularly the main facade—could benefit from a bit of upkeep to restore its original charm.
This is a beautiful church, two visits and both times...... the nuns were singing..the lead nun has a remarkable voice .. accompanied with the choir it was angelic ……what other word could you use to describe nuns singing in a church….….Sirens, if not saintly, must also have had angelic voices to lure sailors and their ships onto the shore..

Nestled in the heart of history, the Chiesa dell’Immacolata Concezione detta del Carmine is a charming little church that dates back to 1626. Commissioned by Don Giuseppe Belloni, this sacred space was dedicated to the Immaculate Conception and originally served as a home for a small community of Carmelite Fathers. Although the convent was established in 1630, it faced an early demise when it was suppressed just two decades later due to papal decree.
(Translated by Google) The small church was built in 1626 by order of Don Giuseppe Belloni and dedicated to the Immaculate Conception. The building and the adjoining house were intended by the priest himself to accommodate a small community of Carmelite Fathers. The convent was founded in 1630 but was short-lived as it was suppressed in 1652 in compliance with the bull of Pope Innocent of Rome. The building underwent transformations already during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The works carried out in the 1840s are significant, for which we can rightly speak of the "rebuilding" of the church in those neoclassical forms which have remained almost unchanged until today. Following the post-unification suppressions, the church became the property of the Monte di Pietà of Forlimpopoli and then, having incorporated the latter into the Monte di Credito su Pegno of Forlì in 1941, it came to the Cassa dei Risparmi of Forlì in 1948. Today the church of Carmine belongs to the Cassa dei Risparmi di Forlì Foundation. The interior is characterized by a single nave with a vaulted roof. On the left altar you can admire the altarpiece of the Immaculate Conception attributed to the Ravenna painter Francesco Longhi (1544-1618). The main altar is adorned with a seventeenth-century altarpiece of exquisite workmanship within which the graceful statue of the Madonna del Carmelo is placed. The decoration of the entire presbytery area - with depictions of Angels, of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, of Faith and Hope - and of the vault - with the Assumption of the Virgin and Saints Simone Stock and Teresa of Avila and the tondos with Evangelists - it was designed and created by the Forlimpopoli painter Paolo Bacchetti (1848-1886). Chiesa di San Biagio in Montegranelli is a charming church nestled among the old houses of an ancient village. Although not very large, it exudes remarkable beauty. The church is dedicated to San Biagio, a revered bishop and martyr.
(Translated by Google) The Church of San Biagio in Montegranelli The church was already a parish church in 1299 when it was taken into possession by the Camaldolese congregation. In 1460, in a book of 'collations', or contributions, it is indicated as one of those churches that formed the vicariate of the abbey of Bagno, rich in real estate. On 6 July 1516 the church was consecrated by the abbot Don Teofilo, bishop of Trivaste in Dalmatia. On 4 June 1549, Don Lorenzo, a Camaldolese monk, gave up the church to Don Clemente, general of the Camaldolese who took possession of it in the name of the Abbey of Bagno and immediately gave it to Don Luca Franchini. In 1641 the interior was structured as follows: the main altar with an oil painting on canvas depicting the Virgin and Saints; on the right an altar with the depiction of the Annunciation, the Crucifix with the Madonna and Saint Francis. For the 1729 visit, there were five altars. The church was in good condition. Six canvas paintings adorned the altars. One depicted S. Biagio, the Madonna and Santa Maria Maddalena, the second reproduced the figures of Saints Peter and Paul, the Madonna and other saints, both at the main altar. The other four paintings represented: the Madonna del Rosario with S. Domenico and S. Chiara, the crucifixion of Jesus, Sant'Antonio abate and the SS. Annunziata. On the walls there were five paintings. In 1853 the church was described as follows: rectangular in shape, 29 arms long and 10 and 1/3 wide (approximately 15 x 6 m), with a loggia on the entrance side; bell tower with one bell. In 1872 the parish priest Don Pasquale Spighi restored and expanded the church. In 1932 the church and rectory were restored again. The bell tower was replaced with a tower. Now the church appears to have been restored by Msgr. Alfiero Rossi. The painting “Madonna with Child Jesus and Saints” with a golden wooden frame and simple moldings is very interesting. The canvas was restored in 1708, at the time of the parish priest Gabrieli as can be deduced from the inscription on the step of the throne: AVE MARIA GRATIA PLENA D. M. S TEM RESAUNATA TEMPORE D. GABRIEI IS DE S PAULIS 1708. From the parish archive it can be seen that Gabrielli was parish priest from 16 November 1705 to 23 December 1752. The Madonna is seated, in the centre, on a throne with a polygonal base and the Child sleeping on her knees. The Saints are painted in two groups of three, lateral to the throne: on the right: San Paolo, Sant'Antonio Abate and San Romualdo; on the left: San Benedetto, San Biagio, San Pietro.

(Translated by Google) Church located among the houses in an ancient village, not very large, but very beautiful... Dedicated to San Biagio, bishop and martyr. At the time it was a parish, when the parish was still part of the Florentine Romagna, of the Diocese of Sansepolcro, then subsequently included in the Diocese of Sarsina and currently in the Diocese of Cesena - Sarsina (currently united with the parish of San Piero in Bagno). Inside there is a single nave, an altar redone in a renovation carried out many years ago... Behind the altar there is a painting depicting the Blessed Virgin Mary venerated with the title of Madonna della Rondine, which is celebrated on the last Sunday of May (or last Saturday of May) Blessed Carlo da Montegranelli, born in 1330, also has origins from the ancient village and founded a religious order in Fiesole in 1405, the Congregation of the Hermits of San Girolamo, who observed the rule of Sant'Agostino, an order later suppressed by Pope Clement IX on 6 September 1668; he wanted to go to the Holy Land, but in Venice where he had to embark to leave, he fell ill and died there on 15 September 1417, his feast in Montegranelli is celebrated on the Sunday closest to 15 September or on the closest Saturday... Every year on February 3rd San Biagio is remembered with the holy mass and at the end blessing of the throat and food and small convivial refreshments... Dedicata a San Biagio, vescovo e martire.
