Lovely place to go for a short hike of roughly 60 minutes. The views from the rock are breathtaking and best to hike it in the morning (especially during hot summer months) when you get plenty of shaded area on the other side of the rock with lots of breeze thay feels quite refreshing. There is a lovely church on the back side and lots of amazing view points.

I climbed Skaros Rock last year and again this year, right to the base of the summit. Below is the pretty Panagia Theoskepas Chapel. I wanted to reach the top of the rock, but I haven't found the access path yet. However, I regularly see people at the very top. Tourists without climbing gear! How do they manage? I would like to succeed. Despite everything, a beautiful landscape unfolds before us. Simply magnificent...

This is one of the best hiking trails in Santorini. It’s not very long but includes some ups and downs — part of the trail goes through village stairs and part over rugged terrain. The views are stunning, and on the rock itself, you can see the remains of an ancient fortress. A truly recommended hike!

A great hike that is definitely not for those in need to assistance. We walked from Santorini Princess so it was all in all good cardio. From actually starting the Skaros Rock trail to the second church in the other side of the point and back it took about 1 hour and another 1/2 hour for taking pictures, but my partner and I were setting a fast pace. BRING/WEAR TENNIS SHOES IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT ARUBD THE ROCK TO THE SECOND CHURCH COMFORTABLY. Lots of stairs and lots of places to go off trail, and even up the rock if you are adventurous. Very beautiful hike!

Very nice hike to do early in the morning, before the Sun gets too far overhead, we didn't quite make sunrise, but we were only about an hour behind walk through the city down a secret stairway and descend down to skaros rock... I will highly recommend wearing some good. Hiking shoes or very good. Equipped running shoes with extra grip as the terrain is loose gravel and some pretty Steep inclines also some steep declines, so be prepared, have water and take breaks, but if you walk out all the way to the Inn, there is a little blue domed church that you cannot see from the city itself highly recommend taking this walk. Very quiet, very peaceful, exceptionally, beautiful. The only place we took a hike where you feel like you're out in the ocean closest point to the Volcano. Simply magic go now.

Totally worth the hike down. Apparently used to be an epic Medieval castle that’s now ruins. A little sketchy in spots - be careful by the edges of course - but otherwise not that difficult to walk around. Great view inside the caldera and of the volcano. Bring some water for the hike back up 😅

A unique place in Santorini where one can watch the sunset avoiding the many tourists that infest the island. The area is recommended for photographers and for relaxation. It is advisable to visit it in the evening in summer months to avoid the extreme heat.

Do yourself a favor and just walk to Fira. Buses didn’t show up. Use the paved main road, it is downhill to Fira and gravity will do the work so it is easy and fast even if you carry heavy luggage.

Do not entrust your holiday travel to this shambolic excuse for a bus station. As I write this now, we're have been sat for an hour and 10 minutes for a service that is supposed to be every 30 minutes. We are expected to wait a further 20, but we know it won't arrive by then either. There's little shelter and zero system or organisation. Yes it's cheap, but what you save in euros you will piss away in sweat and valuable holiday time.

This bus is not used during the summer., so said two different nearby vendors. I did not see any buses on the this road the first week of may 2023. The bus supervisor at the fira station told me it was a 5minute walk to here. It was 45 minutes, 3km, up hill. With heavy luggage. The bus staff lie to me many times.

Fantastic bus stop! I’d heard so many amazing things about this bus stop from my friends who had visited santorini in the past and I thought to myself “this cannot be missed!”. I booked accomodation close to the bus stop so I could visit it every day and boy was I impressed! The sunset from the bus stop is to die for, and the seats are comfortable enough to sit on for approximately 45-60 minutes. Didn’t actually catch a bus from here, but boy did it look like that was possible! I give 5 stars for the sheer beauty of the bus stop, and 1 star due to the fact that I didn’t catch a bus. We visited during the off-season and were lucky to find the cathedral empty and peaceful. After walking from the center of Fira, it was the perfect spot to rest. The interior is calm and serene — a truly soothing space that felt spiritually refreshing. A lovely stop in town.

There's nothing I enjoy better than visiting a church. This one was on a hill (like most of Greece) lol. It wasn't crowded at all. I went inside to light a candle and found it to be so peaceful. It was quiet and as the signs on the outside stated, "a stress free zone". I truly loved it here.

Beautiful cathedral! 10am mass 3rd Sunday of Easter. Father greeted all before and asked couples how many years they had been married and at the end had one couple (47 yrs) and another (5 days) join him for a blessing at the pascal candle and then blessed all marriages.

We visited Fira on a Sunday afternoon. The cathedral is beautiful! The cathedral was open for visitors. Signs on the door ask that you be quiet and remove your hat. The inside was so peaceful. It is a quiet place for reflection and/or prayer. There are candles which you can light. Simply beautiful! There is no fee to visit.

Sunday Mass was at a consistent time of 10:00 AM as posted. The priest and community was very welcoming to tourists and had a translator assisting. There were multiple worship aids in various languages that followed along that particular Sunday. All were encouraged to respond in their own language. After Mass the priest gave blessings to married couples. The music was also beautiful.

Built in 1823. It was completely restored and rebuilt in 1970, after the earthquake of 1956. If you get in on a sunny day you can capture a nice picture of rainbow light coming through the stained glass windows.

An unforgettable meal at Kaliya. The food was absolutely outstanding. We especially loved the beef cheek pasta and the ceviche with coconut sorbet that came as part of the service was a refreshing surprise. The desserts were fantastic, beautifully presented and delicious. From start to finish, both the food and the service were truly exceptional. Every dish felt carefully crafted, and every moment felt special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the island!

One of the best meals we have had anywhere, and our favorite of our Greece trip. We had the scallops with an onion/bacon sauce and corn puree and it is the most perfect bite of food! As a couple we split three appetizers and it was a perfect amount of food. Highly recommend!

The Seafood Platter was pretty good, even and the meat was cooked to perfection, a nice fond in the bottom, though I thought I looked a little unimpressing at first glance for 39€. Nice bread and potato “sauce”. Giouvetsi was good and the taste was immaculate, I was really missing a bit more shrimp, but there was enough of the smoked eel. A nice cocktail, Silk Road Sunset, with a really good aftertaste of Campari. Now the bad part… when I came I asked for a table near the balcony, of which 50% were vacant, but I was told that I could only have a table further from the balcony, due to reservations. 10 minutes after I was seated, two ladies walk in and ask if they can have a seat at the balcony, and are told yes, even though they don’t have a reservation (I asked), and when I was about to finish another couple were allowed to sit by the balcony. And mind you, at this point there are still 3 empty tables at the balcony, and I had a really hard time seeing all of them as reserved judging by the activity level of the night. My advice, book in advance if you wan’t to have a chance of getting a balcony table.

Outstanding food. Large vegan menu. Service was outstanding. Portions very generous. Highly recommend the bread basket, dips and salads. Everything is fresh. Topped it off with an espresso. Kaliya reminds me of Kaalia. Those who know, know.

If there was a Greek god of coffee and baklava then he has made his home here in the Kaliya kitchens, or he is disguised himself as the manager Mikhaiel. After eating my main, Mikhaiel suggested with a twinkle in his eyes that I get a baklava and a Greek coffee with it. Let me tell you... It was the greatest suggestion I have ever received. The baklava alone was crispy and sweet with the perfect crunch.... and the Greek coffee was the smoothest, richest and most flavorful iteration I have tasted to date. Paired with the baklava... It was magical... One bite, one sip, changed my life and i shall never be the same. If the aforementioned euphoric description wasn't enough to convince you, then you should know the balcony view is incredible, but make sure to have a reservation because you don't want to miss out. My advice to you. Go now, don't wait, get that reservation. But make sure to befriend Mikhaiel the disguised God of Coffee and Baklava from Crete. He will never steer you wrong. Adieu

Well worth the walk up, or the donkey ride but the cable cars take all the strain out of it! We arrived via cruise ship so had cable cars included, we then walked for miles and found the Three Bells of Fira. Beautiful no other words!

The Three Bells of Fira is one of the most iconic photo spots in Santorini, but here’s a tip: don’t just navigate to the church itself. To capture the classic postcard view, you need to walk around to the back via another path and search for “Viewpoint” instead. Totally worth it for the perfect shot!

It’s a beautiful spot and definitely a must-see—but honestly, it was very overrated. The crowds were overwhelming, people pushing for photos, and the whole area felt like a chaotic mess. It completely took away from the serene essence you’d expect from Santorini. I left feeling more stressed than inspired. If you want to enjoy it, avoid going during peak summer season. The view is lovely, but the experience during high season was disappointing.

They say that the more you walk up the streets of Fira in Santorini the more interesting it gets. This is one of the places it proves it! A hidden art gallery gem with variety in art styles, decoration styles, object sizes, jewelry and more. I personally love glass and metal art style but in general it's surely worth visiting!

We passed by this church while waiting for the sunset in Oia. Although we didn’t go inside, we stopped to take photos outside. The lighting and shadows on the church made it a beautiful spot to pause and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Very quiet during the off-season.

Great location, good spot easy accessible. They re-paint the town every year, as you can see it wasn’t seasonly painted here, but if you go after May you’ll be sure to get the all the right white and blue.

Hidden behind Skaros Rock is a beautiful almost surprising church. The path is a little dangerous, but the view makes the place worth a visit as long as you are careful.

The most amazing sunset I have ever seen. It is located really close to Imerovigli. Only 15-20min walk. The trail is not difficult at all. It is a simple walk with a few steps. The sunset here is a must.

This hidden gem is MAGICAL - you get to see a wonderful sunset in complete privacy from there. It is a small "hike" to get there, you will even think there is no church as you don't see it unless you walk until the end. And let me tell you this: there is no better or intimate place for a proposal...:) There are no people. Its just a perfect spot!

Really pretty blue church with excellent view! The way here was rocky and full of stones so I do recommend if you want to come here you should wear sneakers or hiking shoes but not sandals. It’s about 30 minutes walk following the trail. Good place to check in a sunny day.

Walked here after lunch in the summer heat, which wasn't the greatest idea. The view is amazing – you get views from all over the caldera. The church is worth a look too. Recommended if you have more than 24 hours in Santorini.

Amazing place with a beautiful view. We found this bar accidentally by coming back from our trip to Skaros rock and it was one of the best experience during our stay. Bad experience! Be careful, better ask for the price before paying! I bought the bottle of white wine in the picture, assuming is either 4,69 eur, either 8,95 eur. I paied with the credit card and after, I saw on the bill it was acually 13,95 eur. So, I went back to see why I paied that much for it. The answer was that she didn't have time to put the price on it and the prices there were for other wines. So, I wanted to give back tha wine and take another one but she said she cannot give me the diffrence back, as I paied with the card.

Great location. Nothing stand out but they have the essentials. Across the street is one of the main entrances to the main cliff side strip that makes up Oia. You wouldn't be able to tell otherwise as there no signage.

One of the most nice spots in Santorini, you can walk through the path from firostefani to Oia (30 min) or to drive .. you can have a panoramic view of the half island and to enjoy the nature. Its 5 stars for the epic walk between Thira and Oia! This just happens to be a vantage point along the route. The walk is sensational a good couple of hours for fit and able. Not too taxing. We did it in October with a cool strong breeze may be a bit hot in midday summer sun! A must do!

From Firostefani to Oia , if you forget to bring water with you , here seems the only first water supply you can get from a van vendor , selling fruit , drinks.... an icy small 500 ml bottle water cost 2 euro, (not cold one is 1.5 euro) The guy was rude. What’s wrong with asking how much drinks cost??? ( Very important is i enjoyed my hiking !!! By the way there is another friendly snack shop just a few meters further , not far)
