Olivia Coffee Shop in El Calafate, Argentina is a cozy and detail-oriented restaurant that offers a variety of food options, from coffee and delicacies to healthy choices. The cafe is known for its quality breakfasts and artful coffee.
Cozy and nice café with great choice for breakfast and / or lunch. The coffee and the food was really good! There was only one lady taking the orders and preparing the drinks so it was combined with some waiting time which was still absolutely okay. We can definitely recommend it!
Jasmina — Google review
Nice and cozy place with multiple sweet and salty options. Delicious latte and hot chocolate. Medialunas are soft tasty great!!! People are gentle and friendly. I fully recommend it.
MILI — Google review
Very good snacks and fast food, everything tasted good and the options were original. Comfortable seating, and airy space. The staff is very friendly, but service is really slow, we had to call them many times to have our order taken because they were distracted.
Javier K — Google review
This Cafe is an excellent place to grab a small bite to eat. And it’s an excellent place to get work done (using laptop) the wifi is a bit inconsistent goes out and then comes back in. But overall a nice vibe. A lot of tourist visit this place. The washrooms are also clean. Food- is great like I mentioned small portions. Drinks- great variety of coffees.
Rahul M — Google review
The most delicious smoothie I've ever tried! The fruits are very fresh and tasty! The food is also very tasty 😋
Kristina B — Google review
Excellent location, really good food and reasonable prices. The place is close to the city center, the waiters and waitresses are super kind, and the food is super good, both for breakfasts and lunch snacks. Of course, really good coffee too. Came here several times, best in town for sure.
Roberto V — Google review
Lovely coffee shop, with good service. The coffee is great (the best we had in Patagonia). Also, they offer sweet and savory treats (alfajores, empanadas…). Strongly recommended when in town
TM — Google review
wasn’t sold on this place although it had reviews of the best coffee shop in el calafate, maybe my standards were too high. can’t bring myself to give more stars to a place that still uses plastic straws. they played the same pop songs over and over which didn’t fit with the vibe they were trying to go for. seemed like they had a decent selection of food though! the staff was nice, accepted card and had VEGAN MILK!!!! only soy but i was very excited about this

Located in the town of El Calafate, Argentina, this chocolate factory produces some of the best ice cream in the world. With flavors like tiramisu and pistachio, it's no wonder visitors love Ovejitas de la Patagonia- Fábrica de Chocolates.
~Backpacking on a budget through South America~ Hectic system, but very nice ice cream and a chill patio in the back. I'd recommend it!
Axel B — Google review
Solid place with an ice cream stand, a chocolate shop, some seating and I think there was another shop. I enjoyed what I got, I think I got pistachio and Patagonian chocolate.
Hussein A — Google review
I stopped by for a hot chocolate per chat GPT recommendations , which turned out to be very sweet. The flavor itself wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t say the chocolate was truly outstanding or unforgettable. However, if you’re looking for aesthetic little chocolate candy shapes (like little sheeps), this is definitely the place to buy them — they do look charming and make for a cute gift. Other than that, there wasn’t really anything special about the spot. It’s fine for a quick stop, but not necessarily a must-visit in my opinion.
Nataliia T — Google review
Understaffed I asked for a coffee at 2 pm and the lady said she couldn’t make me one because they were busy and they were only 2 people I said I was able to wait but still she didn’t want to do it. I don’t think is her fault I really think 2 people is not enough for a place like that you see them running around all day hopefully they get paid good money.
Ulises B — Google review
Large sitting area and toilets available. Many choices of ice cream.
Sunyawit S — Google review
Very solid ice cream and decent chocolates. Straight down the fairway, but not mind-blowing. I got the passion fruit and calafate ice cream and an assortment of chocolates.
Neal B — Google review
Above average ice cream gelato shop but not especially unwise. Domo Blanco in El Chalten was better. The other half of their shop sells chocolate, liquors and jams. Didn't try them but the entire town seems to sell a standard type of chocolate and jams.

The Patagonia chocolate was good but the senior staff was very rude.

Viva la Pepa is a colorful and cozy crêperie specialized in crepes, but they also serve other various desserts and salty dishes, such as sandwiches, pizzas, soups, tortas and milkshakes. The space remains closed during June. Payment methods accepted are credit card, pesos, dollars and euros.
Nice small place with a lot of vegan vegan and vegetarian options Nice decor, good service, good food. We had a pea soup and a pizza with oignons. Both are well done if not special. The soup even comes with bread sticks, which is an extra touch. Pricy, like everything down there but does not feel like a tourist trap. It's worth a 4.5
Yvan L — Google review
It's a nice place with nice design and decorations, I really liked the outside area as well. I had a salty crepe with chicken, pancetta, cheese, onions and garlic and I loved it. I also tried a sweet one with dulce de leche, chocolate and cream which I liked a lot and it looked amazing. Anyways the prices were a bit too high and the service slower than I would like.
Adéla K — Google review
Food prices are expensive, considering the fact that crepes are the mains here. Ordered the ham and cheese crepe which was the cheapest item at ARS12000 but it was generous with ingredients and it was quite good especially with the spicy picante sauce. 10% discount when you pay cash. Outdoor seating area looks cute.
Kelvin H — Google review
We came here three days in a raw. They have lots of veggie options! Everything was so delicious and selfmade. Friendly service!
J. U — Google review
Lovely environment for my midday coffee AND they even had honey for me - a first after a year in Argentina (: MUCHAS GRACIAS! Brenda and Julian were very friendly and they clearly care for their customers and garden. I will be back!
Elle H — Google review
Ok anyone else thinks it's strange to serve your crepes with a burned bottom? My trout crepe arrived with a strong burnt smell. The owner said it's always how they've served it. With a completely burned bottom? Also lack in any seasoning, but that's typical in this part of the world. And apparently it's not an option to send it back to the kitchen. Ended up boxing it home after one bite.
Frisia — Google review
We went during lunch time on a week day. The service was great and the ambience at the restaurant was comfortable. We ordered a mushroom crepe and I got a pineapple pizza. The mushroom crepe didn't taste as good as we had hope. The mushroom seem to be from a can and there was no sauce or much seasoning. The pizza was below average, it was lacking sauce and seasoning. We were pretty disappointed with our experience. Based on the reviews we were looking forward to try this place. Maybe we got the wrong items. For us it was a bit to pricey for the quality and size of the meal.

100% recommended. The best “late breakfast “ place in the world. Tasty food, wonderful terrace to chill, amazing staff. Portions are huge. Praise for the staff working, rare skills of genuine hospitality. Would love to visit El Calafate one day just to come to eat here again.

Elba'r is a charming and picturesque restaurant located in El Calafate, Argentina. It offers a wide variety of options on its menu, including waffles, sandwiches, and artisan pastries. The restaurant is known for its friendly service, warm atmosphere, and special dietary options. Visitors have praised the relaxing ambiance and excellent service at this colorful eatery. Some recommend trying their sugary drinks while others enjoyed the quality coffee at Miles Coffee House more.
Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by a most affable and attentive barkeep. For my fair maiden and myself, I did order two mojitos, and lo, we were served not mere libations but elixirs of the finest sort, their craft and flavor unparalleled. So exquisite were they that we found ourselves compelled to partake in a second round. The atmosphere was further enlivened by music most pleasing to the ear. A truly splendid sojourn!
Ciaran S — Google review
Beautiful cute place. Didn't expect it to be so wonderful. The owner is friendly and does everything himself, even the cooking We had spinach empanadas and a blue cheese waffle. Spinach empanadas was heavenly. Crunchy crust and gooey spinach insides. When we cut it open, the treasure spills out Blue cheese waffle was such a savoury dessert. I never expected to have a savoury dessert. I am on diet and supposed to only taste a bit of each. In the end it's so good I finished the whole plate. Remember to try his hot sauce. I love the spice level, not too spicy but has a pleasant kick
Tk C — Google review
If you don’t visit this place when you’re in El Calafate, did you even visit El Calafate? This place is so fantastic- so much so that I came on 2 consecutive days! The atmosphere is very cool- with great music, very friendly and super cosy. And a gorgeous interior with hand painted decorations. I had the dulce de leche waffle and hot chocolate which was fantastic, and on the 2nd night (in a row!) a couple who were here recommended the Lamb and Guanaco empanadas which were sooo good! I also had the Wok de arroz which was very tasty. And the Poincenot IPA beer from the region was a great choice too. I’m sad I can’t try more of the dishes here, I would highly recommend this place!
Jenny T — Google review
We wanted a sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I have tried in Argentina. We both ordered the Guanaco and one with chicken. They both tasted very good but I would definitely recommend the guanaco with bbq-sauce. We also ordered coffee which was very good as well.
Philip L — Google review
Happy hour is NOT happy hour… We both ordered a different drink from the happy hour drinks. Both only got one drink, so thought it was these two for one (or discount). At the and had to pay full price for both drinks, cause they weren’t the same. So we didn’t both get 2 drinks, neither we payed half the price or discount… Staff is really friendly though!
Wouter D — Google review
Incredible food, drinks, and super friendly staff. Must visit if you’re in the area. Highly recommend the Yerba mate traditional, they show you the best way to make it and enjoy! Great sandwiches and empanadas too :)
Mitchell O — Google review
We love this cafe! The food is amazing and the people here are really nice and welcoming. Also, it’s a charming place to hang out and talk or read or knit. I had my first mate experience here which was fun. I like it!
Laurel Z — Google review
I enjoyed this place a lot for the special (sugary) drinks they make, but I think if you don’t speak Spanish— the service is not as good? Or fast? My bf speaks Spanish so we didn’t have any issue, but noticed the other table didn’t get serviced for some time! I’d come back here. 2 stories and you can sit inside or outside! They have so many different food and drink options! My bf likes pure espresso more so he enjoyed Miles Coffee House more for the quality of coffee, but I liked this more for the lattes

Restaurant
Pietro's Cafe is a charming restaurant located in El Calafate, Argentina. It offers a wide variety of delicious dishes, including pasta and vegetarian options like quinoa. Visitors can expect friendly and attentive service, reasonable prices, and high-quality food. The restaurant has an old-school ambiance with amazing meat, pasta, and pizza options that make it stand out in the town. It's a great place to unwind with a drink and bite after a day of activities.
One thing I learned as I’ve been traveling in Argentina, is that service in restaurants are slow. They will not bother you unless you call them over and they will not rush you to get you out of the way. if you feel like you’re not being helped enough, all you have to do is call a server over. We walked in thinking we were just going to get coffee, but ended up getting some food as well as beer. A weird combination, yes. Café con Leche was not the best I’ve had in Argentina but pretty up there. The media Luna with ham and cheese was also not the best I’ve had, but pretty up there. We also had fries, which was a sizable amount, enough to share. Their bottle of beers were big enough to share, but the guys had a bottle each. By lunchtime, they had run out of croissants. We ended up sitting there for a few hours, but no one rushed us or given us the fish eye. Overall, a lovely day with awesome food and friendly service.
Viv P — Google review
Cool cafe with a great location. First waiter was fantastic and made the evening great. Second time there was less lucky, the waiter paid us no attention and didn't care to give any service in a timely manner.
Hunter B — Google review
Was very disappointed with my meal here. Everything on the menu is very expensive but as is most places around this area, however for what I actually got for the amount of money is a joke. I ordered the veggie burger al Plato which was 21 euro and all it consisted of was a single burger patty and tiny piece of side salad. Pretty extortionate for the price and had no flavour so was a small tasteless meal. The guy serving was nice but wouldn’t recommend the food
Grace H — Google review
We were able to sit outside as it was such a nice day. Friendly waiter. The portion sizes were HUGE; the smaller pizza option would be a large pizza for most people. We have an 18 year old son who can eat for England & even he said that the smaller one would have probably been too large for him. Before seeing the sizes, he ordered a full pizza that said it had egg on it - it arrived and was enormous- 8 slices and each one had a fried egg! The sandwich we had would also feed two people easily! Other tables had burgers which looked amazing too! So we now have a takeaway for another meal because it was great food!

Charming Atmosphere and Friendly Service at Pietro's Cafe El Calafate Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited Pietro's Cafe in El Calafate and was impressed by the charming decor, featuring antique coffee machines that added a unique touch to the ambiance. Despite the language barrier, the staff was exceptionally friendly, and our waitress made a commendable effort to help us navigate the menu. Our order was a bit off, likely due to the communication challenge, but the overall experience was positive. The pizza slices were surprisingly generous in size, though the taste leaned more towards bread than the traditional pizza base I'm accustomed to. Unsure if this is the Argentinian pizza style, but it was an interesting introduction for a first-timer in Argentina. On the flip side, the double shot coffee was a delightful burst of flavors, showcasing their expertise in coffee preparation. Observing other tables, it was evident that Pietro's offers enticing dessert options. While I found the food slightly above average, the standout was the warm and friendly service, coupled with a pleasant atmosphere. If you're in El Calafate and appreciate amiable staff and a cozy setting, Pietro's Cafe is worth a visit.

Chocolate cafe
Cafeteria
I suggest visiting this establishment if you have an appreciation for coffee or baked goods. It has a charming atmosphere and offers exceptional chocolate-infused beverages, such as chocolate milk/tea and caffe latte. In terms of price, it is reasonably affordable compared to other places. The staff is friendly and proficient in English. They also provide various chocolate options suitable for gifts or takeaways. The venue itself exudes warmth and coziness, catering to a wide range of preferences.
My favorite cafe in El Calafate! Good prices, good music, good drinks, friendly staff, cute atmosphere and excellent location right on the main road that runs through El Calafate town. Around 3500 ARS ($3 USD) for a drink. I like getting the Cacao drink and the Mate tea here.

A goof place with so many kind of chocolate. The price is reasonable, friendly staffs. And they have a perfect hot chocolate!

Very friendly owners and could speak decent English. Many different flavours of chocolate and can try them before buying too! Good quality chocolate and also variety of teas and jams available for sale.

A Sweet Haven in El Calafate Chocolates Patagonia in El Calafate is a charming chocolate haven nestled in the heart of the town. The variety of chocolates is delightful, and they generously offer samples for a tempting taste test. We opted for the grande-sized hot chocolates—one with Bailey's and another with cognac. The flavors were rich, and the alcohol gave them a delightful kick. They weren't just drinks; they were experiences. The locally made chocolates were equally scrumptious, tempting us to grab a few more. The cafe's cozy atmosphere and free Wi-Fi made our visit even more enjoyable. They have flexibility in currency; they accept USD and EURO with a great exchange rate. For convenience, card payments are welcomed, a boon for tourists like us without local currency. Chocolates Patagonia is more than a chocolate stop; it's an experience of flavors, warmth, and convenience. A great choice in El Calafate!

Best hot chocolates in Calafate! I also ordered a hot chocolate with Calafate berry liquor, definitely worth all the hype.

I spent 2 afternoons at this cafe during my visit in El Calafate. The staff is so friendly, it's very cosy and the prices are reasonable. They have a very nice Playlist, you can also try mate here which is rarely the case at cafes in argentina.

The man at the cashier looked a bit bad-tempered even if we said “hola, buen dia, dos cafes por favor”. And again we paid more than 300pesos per cafe 😬 coffee was a bit too acidic, alfajores were ok.

Located steps away from the calafate bus terminal, this little shop has everything you need to make your wait enjoyable. Wish such a friendly place was not opened on a Sunday when I was first at the bus station. The cafe is a godsend to the travellers at the terminal, good food and coffee, nice toilet (unlike those in the terminal) and warm service.
K C — Google review
It’s a cute place to grab coffee, sandwiches and pastries right by the bus station. They take Apple Pay/Credit Card. The staff speaks English and are very warm and friendly. I heard their pastries/cookies are really delicious. I only had a croissant with cheese. They have vegan cookies as well.
Ira M — Google review
Excellent coffee, great service and lots of variety for cakes and sandwiches. It’s a shame the store is out of town and next to the bus station so it gives a vibe of just being a mediocre coffee selling the basics, but don’t be fooled, it was excellent. And the owner/ worker gave exceptional service. Would definitely go out my way to come here again.

LA CHURRERIA is a small local spot in El Calafate known for its delicious churros. Despite its modest size, it offers a variety of churros that have impressed many visitors. The menu includes classic options like dulce de leche, as well as innovative flavors such as sweet potato, apple, and cinnamon. Customers have praised the reasonable prices and the patience of the staff in helping them choose from the tempting selection.
WOW. Do yourself a favour and just go here. The CRUNCH??! Life changing. The sexiest crunch sound you could imagine happens in each and every bite of their churros. The filling to pastry ratio is perfect and the flavours are so well-balanced. And they are made to order super quickly. Staff is super friendly and lovely. In the past I have honestly always been slightly disappointed by churros but this place completely blew my mind. We tried a couple and then legitimately ordered two separate times in the same afternoon. The lemon flavour is truly to die for, the calafate and apple cinnamon flavours are also incredible. Prices are super super reasonable (650-800 per churro as of March 2024). I wish their opening hours were longer but we are so thankful we found this place before leaving el Calafate!! Keep up the dessert magic!

(Translated by Google) Exorbitant prices in Calafate. 1600 pesos 100 grams of chocolate. You have to go to the one in Bariloche or another branch. (Original) Precios desorbitales en el Calafate. 1600 pesos 100 gramos de chocolate. Hay que ir al de Bariloche u otra sucursal.
Alejandra D — Google review
(Translated by Google) It is not a tourist chocolate branch. It is a regional store where they sell everything. (Original) No es una sucursal de chocolates del turista. Es una tienda de regionales donde venden de todo.
