Northern Italian restaurant
Restaurant
Wirtshaus Vögele is a historic venue located near the beautiful Piazza della Frutta, with a traditional menu featuring local classics such as veal head with eggs and onions, carne salada, and speck. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere in the heart of Bolzano and prides itself on using seasonal ingredients from local producers. Diners can enjoy dishes like ricotta dumplings in broth, potato fritters with sauerkraut, and lamb cutlets.
Super friendly staff who helped us with our stroller, both with the stairs and finding a quiet spot. The food was excellent across the board, from the cold cuts (the best I’ve had in Bolzano) to the main dish, everything was spot on. The atmosphere is also very pleasant, making you feel fully immersed in Tyrolean culture.
Gaultierus — Google review
Charming spot near the center of Bolzano, just a short walk from the cathedral. The restaurant is located on a picturesque, cobbled street with lovely outdoor seating under the arcades — perfect for people-watching and enjoying the local atmosphere. Service was quick and efficient. I tried a regional specialty: a selection of Hirschknödel (venison dumplings) with different flavors, served with a warm bacon salad — a typical South Tyrolean dish that was both tasty and interesting. I also had the tagliatelle with wild boar ragù, another local classic. The sauce was flavorful and well prepared, though the pasta itself was slightly overcooked and oddly short, as if it had been cut — a bit of a shame. Still, considering the central location and overall good quality of the food, the prices were quite reasonable. A solid and honest place I’d recommend for a casual meal while strolling through Bolzano.
Eric D — Google review
This restaurant is steeped in history. The staff is professional and friendly. The menu is more Südtirol-style than typical Italian. The Wienerschnitzel, made authentically with veal, was tender and fried to perfection. The Knödel also had a unique flavor I haven't tasted in Germany. I would highly recommend this place.
Chien-Chih P — Google review
Really beautiful restaurant with a notable history. The food is wonderful and was a Michelin star rated restaurant. I ordered the Gulash, Rigatoni and Schnitzel. All three courses were delicious and hinted an Italian and German fusion. I recommend getting a reservation.
Phil E — Google review
Quaint restaurant featuring local tyrolian cuisine. It’s a vibrant spot and institution in town amongst locals and tourists. I found the dishes good especially the octopus and grilled steak with mushrooms. However, I did find the service a bit lacking, not very detail oriented and one may have to repeat their request. Other than that a must try in Bolzano.
Jean D — Google review
Authentic place with South Tyrolean cuisine. When booking, ask for a table either outside on the street or on the first floor - the second and third floors don’t really have the same atmosphere. The food is excellent, exactly what you need in this region: the must-try canederli (traditional bread dumplings made with speck or cheese and best enjoyed in broth), amazing chanterelle mushrooms (now in season), and veal head. The goulash is wonderful, and even the kids’ schnitzel is absolutely delicious.
Natasha K — Google review
The meals we had - ravioli and Schnitzel - were both delicious, portions were nice too, but the inside dining area is uncomfortably hot, however if you opt to eat outside, you need to share the airspace with smokers.
György A — Google review
This was a super tasty wiener schnitzel. We actually came without looking at reviews because this place was always packed when passing by, so one day we dropped in earlier for lunch and even then there was no more seating in the outside or first floor, but luckily still plenty of seating upstairs, which also completely filled up rather quickly. Food was very tasty and I regret not ordering more that day as this was one of the best restaurants I dined at while in Bolzano. It was only later while searching for best wiener schnitzl in Bolzano that this place consistently showed up. Also, the environment is quite cozy, and you can imagine the long history of this restaurant. Only downside is service is quite slooooow, which is pretty much standard in this area.

Cavallino Bianco is a long-standing Alpine tavern that offers a mix of Tyrolean specialties and Italian dishes. The historical tavern provides a rustic atmosphere and serves traditional South Tyrolean dishes such as Knoedel, Schlutzkrapfen, and Kaiserschmarren. The menu also includes Italian wines to complement the culinary experience.
This restaurant is an institution in Bozen and we were very happy to celebrate our wedding anniversary there. The food is traditional and delicious. There are various dishes for vegetarians (with a vegetarian section in the menu). The front of the restaurant is nicer and more atmospheric than the extension at the back. The prices are reasonable and this place is certainly worth dressing up for and making a special effort to visit.
Garth G — Google review
Traditional local cuisine, beautifully decorated with pairings and lot of small details of an alpine Brauhaus. The menu offers daily specials and many local favorites. Food is delicious and even though it’s a popular spot, that was quite packed, it arrived rather quick. It took us some time to get seated.
Jordan R — Google review
A true Bolzano classic — the kind of place that captures the city’s soul through food. Every dish is rooted in tradition yet beautifully executed, full of depth and flavor. Service is warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. The kind of restaurant you fall in love with… and keep coming back to.
Martha C — Google review
Perplexity recommended this restaurant to us. I instantly knew that it was a good recommendation because there was a line to get in and there were mostly locals. A very large restaurant with a great hustle and bustle to it. The local plates dominate, and so it was very easy to order. I chose the canederli soup and the milanesa and my wife mini gnocchi with a cheese sauce to die for. Had a great crispy local beer on tap as well. We were driving through from the dolomites down to Venice and it’s just so wonderful in Italy how you can stop in a local town and eat significantly different food two hours away. Just wonderful. Dog friendly too
Rob G — Google review
Came here with a friend on a budget. Blown away by the decor, service, and condiments on the table. Food was affordable enough if one takes only the first course - ranging from 9 to 13 €. We took Schlutzkrapfen with butter and parmesan, a speciality of the region (10.30€), and were not disappointed. Delicious dish with parmesan à volonté, 10/10. Being financially restricted, we asked for tap water. This was duly provided, and there was no issue with it until it was time to pay the bill. We were charged an additional 2€, 1€ per person, for the tap water. Upon inquiry, we were informed that if you take only tap water, and no wine, you are charged for the tap water. While not necessarily an unfair policy, what was however unprofessional, sneaky and somewhat scammy was the fact that this wasn't written anywhere, nor were we informed upon asking for tap water, and confirming that we wanted only tap water. In all other aspects the service and food was impeccable, so I have left the overall rating at 5 stars, and dropped the service rating by only 1 star
Sascha E — Google review
Ok this is not and I repeat not a tourist place, if you don't know anyone local you probably wouldn't know about it, they are not prepped up like all other typical tourists attractions. This place was recommended to us by a local (gelato lady up at the top of Bolzano) amazing ice-cream. (How we ended up in this amazing restaurant. Food was just heavenly (steak melted in my mouth.) typical Austrian dish. the carbonara! Now that's how an actual Italian carbonara is made, the schnitzel was nice and tender. The potion sizes were just right so you aren't left hungry and the waiters were friendly and attentive. The whole atmosphere was warm and just 🤌🏽
Ayrene S — Google review
We had an absolutely delicious dinner here. Every dish was incredible and the wine was good too. They took us without a reservation and soon after, there was a line basically out the door! The Garganelli con ragú di vitello was impeccable. Would recommend!

Immerse yourself in the Belle Epoque ambiance of Restaurant Laurin, nestled within the picturesque Parkhotel Laurin in Bolzano. Renowned Sicilian-Tyrolean chef Manuel Astuto skillfully combines Mediterranean and Alpine influences to craft exquisite lunch and dinner menus that have even captivated Hollywood stars with his renowned risotto. Whether you choose to dine amidst the elegant interior or in the charming gardens adorned with palm trees, prepare for a culinary journey that seamlessly blends tradition and innovation.
We had a wonderful dining experience with incredibly friendly staff and a fantastic atmosphere. It was truly a delightful evening. We also appreciated that our four-legged friend was welcome to join us. The convenience of parking right by the restaurant added to the overall enjoyment of the experience.
Bernard V — Google review
Unfortunately we were a tad disappointed with both the service and food at Restaurant Laurin. We dined in the main restaurant for the Christmas gala dinner, and although the food was tasty, it was certainly not worth the €100 per person price tag (excluding drinks). Despite the stand out entree, the rest of the courses were underwhelming with many being served luke warm. To top it off, the service was incredibly average—the dishes / courses were not explained, just thrown down on the table. We were rushed off our table, and we had to pour our own wine. Not typical for a restaurant of this calibre and price point. That said, the venue is beautiful, the table was set very nicely and the atmosphere was lovely.

Such a beautiful little calm oasis with very friendly service, and gorgeous food!

Amazing! All dishes were a 10/10. Great service and atmosphere. Perfect!
Ebony B — Google review
My honey had the best ravioli dish I have ever tasted. It was a wild boar dish that I cleaned up for her. Delicious! My shrimp angel hair dish left me wanting more. More shrimp and more flavor. I ordered what I thought would be a shrimp dinner but it was a pasta dinner with probably ONE shrimp minced up a bit and tossed in. Paid parking available directly across the street, which is nice. Well stocked bar and beautiful grounds with a tree growing in the middle and a large canopy overhead to keep everything sheltered. Sommolier on hand, which is a treat. Beautiful restaurant that has somehow carved out a large park in the city.
James J — Google review
We had a great Christmas experience at Laurin Restaurant in Bolzano. Food was divine, atmosphere sophisticate and genuine, personnell friendly. And yes is expensive but the quality of the food is excellent and worth it. Very reccommended.
Gennaro S — Google review
We booked via the internet a table for a party of 6. After reading the very impressive reports we were shocked with the experience that was far greater than what we had expected. Everything was excellent and our only regret was that we waited until our last night to dine here and so limited us to a single dining delight. Compliments to the chef, the staff and to our waitress Gioia who's attention was first class.
Joel D — Google review
The food was good but the service was only OK (neither not nearly as good as the Lowengrube) although the location is perfect. My wife and I are searching for the perfect risotto and on the Laurin website there is a piece celebrating their famous risotto, "Risotto is on the menu every day at the Laurin". This is why we booked a table here for our 25th wedding anniversary. We were very disappointed to find out when we arrived that neither was risotto on the menu nor was it available. They had delayed our reservation an hour till 8pm which was annoying as we had an early connection the following morning. The reason became clear whilst we were there: the small open kitchen revealed that they lacked the capacity to handle too many orders at the same time. We also spotted a translation blunder on the printed menu where venison had been translated as veal. This dish however was excellent.

Hopfen & Co. is a down-to-earth South Tyrolean restaurant that's a must-visit for every guest of Bolzano. It's known for its craft beer and hearty mains like pork knuckle. The brewery-restaurant, located in a former corner tower of the city walls with an old prison, offers culinary hospitality in a museum-like setting.
We had the goulash stew with dumplings and a dessert after, and everything was seriously delicious. The meat was super tender, the sauce was full of flavor, and the dumplings were perfect with it. Just really comforting, tasty food. Dessert hit the spot too — no complaints at all. If you’re in Bolzano and want something hearty and homemade-feeling, this place is definitely worth it. I’m already missing the goulash 😭
Tatiana T — Google review
Very nice place with outdoor seating. We had to wait for like 20mns to get an outdoor seating but worth the wait. Very good service the food came quite quickly. I had the tuna and egg salad and the Schultzkrafpen (type of pasta with spinach and ricotta without the sauce) and hubby ate the pork ribs which as you can see from the photo devoured them saying they were a delicatessen. Very fairly priced around €20 per person.
Lama K — Google review
Even though it’s a touristy place, the food was way above expectations! The freshly brewed beer was fantastic, the sausages with sauerkraut had just the right balance, and the cranberry sauce with the schnitzel was absolutely unforgettable. We sat outside, enjoyed the atmosphere, and my family couldn’t have been happier with our lunch.
Natasha K — Google review
Great place to stop for lunch near the Bolzano fresh fruits and flowers market. The knodel was pretty delicious. But the best is the craft beer house brewed. Super smooth and refreshing on a hot summer day. It might be a little crowded but just get a stray menu, find an empty seat and call for a waiter and order. They are busy but it’s worth the wait. Even if you are not hungry or don’t feel like eating, at least try the beer
Jo J — Google review
Was there during the weekend for a lunch. Nice atmosphere, dinning outside, waitresses organized and friendly. We didn’t wait for so long for the service. Food was delicious. I ordered a bistecca di lombata di vitello - local veal loin steak with chanterelle sauce, potatoes and green beans with bacon; cabbage salad and the sin after - Topfenknödel. Everything was excellent, meet was melting in the mouth basically. Dessert delicious. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Big plus as they work during all the day and they don’t close from 15-18h, as we arrived around 15:30h for a lunch, which is late for the Italian standards 😅 Excellent quality price ratio. We are looking forward to coming back to this restaurant in the future.
Kristina A — Google review
Gulash was very tasyt. But the rest of the food was mid. Soup was to salty and portion was small. Special beer was very good.
Lana S — Google review
This is a very nice restaurant. The food is quite good, with some very good prices (as an example we payed 12€ for the spare ribs). The location is also excellent, so if you’re hungry and you’re looking for something nice & not very expensive, then this is the place for you. They also have an excellent artisan beer. Overall a place to try.
Aurel P — Google review
Sadly we didn't enjoy our dinner at this place. Our food was pretty average. The pork knuckle was good, unfortunately the rest of our dinner was mediocre at best. The sausage, potatoes and saurkraut dish arrived cold and undercooked. The service was friendly.

Batzen Häusl is a modern take on a traditional stube, offering a hip setup for enjoying German-style beer and South Tyrolean specialties. The restaurant features an informal section of the menu with dishes like the Batzen Fleck, a warm focaccia topped with tomato sauce, onions, and speck. Locals gather here to enjoy animated conversations over pints of locally-brewed beer in the garden.
Great food, great beer, what else can you ask for? We had a fantastic experience at Batzen Hausl. Reasonably priced food and beer in a fun atmosphere. We all loved ending our first day at Bolzano dining here. Highly recommended.

A beloved local spot where you feel instantly at home. The kind of place where the food feeds your soul — hearty, flavorful dishes served in generous portions. The beer is outstanding, brewed with care and character, and the atmosphere buzzes with the warmth of Bolzano’s locals. A perfect stop for those who seek authenticity, good company, and a taste of true South Tyrolean life.
Martha C — Google review
The beer was good and it was nice sitting outside. The pretzel was just okay. The mixed salad hit the spot and was fresh. Our other food was really good but I forget what we had. The meat and cheese board looked good. I would say it's a good place to get a beer and check out for the historical aspect.

Fantastic brew pub , superb selection of beers on tap and the bottle. Great selection of North Tyrol cuisine with Austrian and German influence with Italian flavours
Rajesh N — Google review
Great place to take a dinner and drink artesian beer. I tried the goulash and highly recommend it, it’s a good typical dish. The service and atmosphere are amazing.
Alejandro C — Google review
We ended up coming here twice during our 3 day stay in Bolzano - once planned and the second time due to it being one of the only places open on a rainy Sunday. The stinco was good, the sides were very generous and tasty but unfortunately the skin was not crunchy and inedible. The pork ribs were a little dry but for the value it’s decent. The second time we ordered pulled pork burgers after a long day hike and it was maybe one of the worst burgers we’ve had (not pictured)… I am not sure the pulled pork is actually made in house and the burger bread was soft and soggy and reminiscent of McDonald’s buns. Maybe we got unlucky. Definitely a better place for German food and delicious beer!

Stopped by for lunch while wondering around downtown Bolzano based on reviews. Did not disappoint. Great service. Delicious food and big portions at a fair price. Seems like they’ve been around for a while. I’d strongly recommend them if you’re looking for a good restaurant to eat!

We had lunch here. Great local restaurant with nice atmosphere. You can sit inside or outside if the weather is ok. They serve Italian and Austrian food and both were pretty good. The service was friendly and ok. They have a few day specialties, ask about them before you order!

I had to convince my family to wait with dinner till 18:30 (when they open), but it was totally worth it. We were probably the only customers for like half an hour. For that reason the service was really fast. I had the filled pasta with a butter sauce. Despite the interesting looks It was perfectly cooked and delicious!! My family was also really positive about the salmon.

A wonderful and atmospheric spot in the center of Bolzano. We really appreciated that they accept reservations. The menu leans a bit toward the Italian side, but also features seasonal dishes with chanterelles and South Tyrolean specialties. The chanterelle risotto was outstanding — truly a highlight of the evening. Service was warm and personal, and the wine list is excellent, with staff giving thoughtful recommendations. We loved the evening atmosphere: as it got dark, the cozy outdoor seating with warm light felt magical.
Natasha K — Google review
The restaurant is located along a narrow alleyway which added to the charm. The staff were friendly, and the service was quick. The food was not mind blowing, but it was filling. I had the spinach and cheese ravioli.
Tesal S — Google review
Food was typical südtyrolish (gulash and schnitzell), very honest balance between price and quantity/quality. Personally not fan of these heavy meals but if you have to try, try here, they do it typically. A lot of Italian tourists, quick and nice service and the most important trump up the sleeve, it is open on Sundays !

Was craving a wiener schnitzel as my final meal in Bolzano before leaving (after a long two week business trip). This place turned up on several reviews and I must say it did not disappoint. Food was very good and I would come back. Service was rather slow though, but they were having a busy night with a huge entourage of American tourists.

4.75 overall (could be a 5 with some actual athmosphere or nice views) - insanely good, high quality, authentic and divers cuisine - super humble and unpretentious - good portions for small budget - good drink selection, both local wines and beers - quite decent Kaiserschmarrn - very quick and efficient staff - never too crowded to be served properly - unfortunately in an industrial area ar the edge of the city, basically next to a big parking lot. Try the Speckknödel, one of the many interesting pizza types with local cheeses and sausages, or go straight for the heavy meat dishes. [Card payment possible]

We had a lovely dinner at Al Camin. The setting is cozy. The food was delicious especially the venison ravioli—well presented and full of flavor. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. Overall, a great place for a special meal in Cortina.

Al Carmine is a restaurant that keeps you coming back for more. The staff was fantastic, offering charming and warm service from the moment we were welcomed until the very end of our meal. The food was truly amazing. My tripe, in particular, was so beautifully prepared, you could tell it was cooked with care and love.

Lovely restaurant up on a hill at Cortina d’Ampezzo. We had a late lunch at 1 pm and the crowd was moderate. The food is hearty and tasty. Do try their venison dishes. The restaurant is really good with their venison dishes. Definitely one of the better Alpine food we have tasted.

We were extremely tired from travelling and jet-lagged and this place was a great comforting spot. Food was warm and delicious. We had the gnocchi and lamb. Service was also excellent. They treated us with great service, not caring how we dressed (like typical tourist with bagpacks).

Our friends brought us here for dinner. That was our best dinner of the week!

Amazing food - we loved the beetroot ravioli, the prawn curry with black rice and the venison ravioli. The owner’s wife was very hospitable - would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Cortina.

The best meal we had in Italy, hands down. The deer with raspberries is a MUST! Everything we ate was jaw-dropping and we can’t stop talking about it. I will be dreaming about this meal! The restaurant itself was cozy and upscale, like an elevated mountain lodge. The staff also made my birthday very special with a candle in our dessert. Thank you, Al Camin!

Michelin level dishes and service without Micheline price. We had the blueberry gnocchi with deer ragu, veal cheek , passion fruit cream in vegetable soup and tart with meringue strawberry. They are all delicious in its own ways. The Veal cheek is so good and the meat basically melt in your mouth. I had to ask them how to prepare for it and see if I can duplicate it at home. The server patiently went through the cooking detail for this particular dish for me.

Gostner Schwaige is my preferred dining establishment in the Seiser Alm area. It is a mountain hut that operates independently and exclusively offers homemade goods. The Mulsner family takes pride in managing this delightful eatery. Hotel Steger-Dellai, a 4-star lodging situated near Compaccio/Compatsch, lies within a short distance from Gostner Schwaige and the Hans and Paula Steger Trail, which is highly regarded among visitors.
This is one of our go-to places for a delicious lunch while skiing. It’s right on run 59. We love the golasch, spareribs and kaiser for dessert. They also make hay soup which has a following. Absolutely delicious. View is pretty good too.

This rustic mountain restaurant was such an awesome stop after an 8km hike in Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm). The food was amazing and also beautifully presented. Everything we had was locally sourced most from the farm we walked through to get to the restaurant! Such a great experience!

Food is incredibly delicious! Host was very nice and recommended us what to order. The mixed flower salad accompanied with their homemade sauces was something I never had before and it was very good. Meat was very tender and full of flavour. Cheese board was also very good. The best one for me was definitely the hay soup and their homemade yogurt. Definitely a great experience and I would return again. Best mountain food ever!! Grazie 🥰

The staff was very friendly, kept checking in and also took time to explain the dishes. the food was delicious - the kaiserschmarrn (eggy pancake) was superb. Nice eggy texture, caramelized apricots, buttery. we would hike back just to eat it. 🤣 we also had the osso buco with polenta and herb and flower salad. Everything was delicious. The price is on the higher side, but I think it's justifiable as the ingredients are uncommon and high quality, and the food was executed and presented beautifully. It was a lovely meal and experience.

Extremely delicious 😋 food. Small portions where quality matters over quantity. The regional dishes are prepared with care and devotion. It's a must on the list of local restaurants, albeit a bit crowded during the season, and you need to stand in line outside. The prices are higher than the competition but it's definitely worth paying more.

The best meal we had in the Dolomites! The herb soup is unlike anything we’ve ever tasted before, so good. The homemade cheeses and ham were so delicious, and the torn pancake dessert was perfect. It rained so we sat inside for a late lunch. Our server was nice & attentive, and the chef checked on us to make sure everything was to our liking.

We had a delicious lunch here. It was foggy so we wanted to dine inside. We got to sit in the small cabin, so cute. Service was speedy and friendly. The rosenspritz was so good. Light and refreshing. The charcuterie plate was delicious. The meats had a nice smoky flavor. I loved the honey and horseradish served with the cheese. The ravioli with cheese made in house was so tasty. Overall a cute place with a wonderful lunch.

Last year we spent the new year eve here and we had a great dinner. We came back again to try their “a la carte” menu. They don’t have the common dishes and everything is good. They also have barbecue. Don’t miss the kaiserschmarren!!

I was with a larger party and I made the mistake of ordering a burger. The rest of the food at the table was okay, good even. The 4 people who had the burger are still traumatized. Please take the burger off the menu or make it edible. The meat is the most awful slop I've had in a while. Fries were good :)

We wanted to order wurstel sandwiches and the waiter was trying to convince us with another kind of sandwich that at the end he forgot the main order and had to wait for more time to receive it. Nestled 2 km from the center of Cortina, beneath the slopes of Mount Faloria, is the charming Baita Fraina restaurant. Meanwhile, at Ristorante Il Campanile in Alvera, guests can savor a cozy rustic atmosphere. The restaurant boasts an impressive wine list featuring renowned Tuscan labels and Bordeaux-like excellence. Additionally, it is run by the Menardi family who also operate a wine shop in town.
We spent a week in the guesthouse during our winter vacation. Family guesthouse with very friendly staff and good access to the center of Cortina and downhill skiing (you have to drive about 15 minutes to the parking lot by the slope), the guesthouse has delicious breakfasts and very comfortable equipment (the beds and mattresses are wide and comfortable), the guesthouse has enough parking spaces. The cleanliness was perfect. The prices for accommodation here in the Cortina area are on a lower level, but it is a guesthouse not a hotel (perhaps it is better to describe the guesthouse as a mountain hut). For us this was perfect choice.

Very clean, great views, good value. Delicious breakfast! Everyone was very nice. Except the manager - she was a bit annoying, made faces and rolled her eyes on a couple of occasions - just not a pleasant person. Otherwise the rest of the staff were extremely sweet and helpful

Stayed a couple of nights in June. Service was excellent. We had one meal in the restaurant which was great, little pricey but excellent food. Great morning breakfast. Location worked well for day excursions. The view was awesome from the hotel location. Room was comfortable and clean. My only complaint is the one lane path you drive up to get there.

I’m Italian and as most of my fellow citizens, I love and appreciate, great food very much! This restaurant was great!Everything we had was delicious and the ambience is a dream, exactly the warm, tasteful atmosphere you would love and expect to find in this area! All wooden, antique hand painted heaters, every detail and decor is perfectly placed! Most importantly we really loved the food, one of the best restaurants we found in Cortina!Food is more elevated and refined than your typical local restaurant in the area, but it combines perfectly tradition with an elevated accent!Thank you for the experience, we’ll definitely come back!
Giovanna P — Google review
This is a review of the restaurant. So we asked for a reservation and they said they were fully booked except for one left at 7:45. We got here at 7:45 and we were one of two groups that were here. A total of no more than eight people were here. For the remainder of the next 1.5 hrs, nobody showed up. We had to sit in the back room because they were too busy for us at 7:45 ( mind you only 6 people here). So we had to sit in a room. We could not sit outside, even though there was plenty of seating. It was absolutely shocking to see this. That being said, the food definitely was worth it as much as I would like to give them three stars, for the fact that they stuck us in a back room when nobody was in the restaurant, the food definitely was worth the five stars. The first course was homemade deer Prosciutto served with homemade horseradish and pickles. It was a small serving of bread that was absolutely amazing. The second course included homemade pasta made with local cheeses. Also very good! The main course was the play, which was by far the most tender, flavorful beef we’ve ever had . I highly recommend you get it . The second main course was polenta with a cream sauce, shaved with black truffles and chanterelles. A poached egg on top. I have to say that that was the most delicious polenta I’ve ever had A bottle of wine and they have a very good selection of wine here ranging from €30-€700 . Definitely a must try while here in Cortina D’‘ampzzo. The chef’s name is Luca Menadri and and he has obviously been more trained in the culinary arts. But just remember, you might end up in the back room with no view with an entirely empty at restaurant if you don’t reserve in advance !

This place is absolutely amazing! On the outside, the hotel itself is beautiful and the fact that it’s surrounded by views of the mountains makes it extra special. Inside the hotel is cozy and beautifully detailed, the rooms are very clean and they provided us with razors, shampoo, hair caps for the shower, and more. We chose to eat in the hotel restaurant, and let me just say, this is the BEST food I have ever eaten! They gave us each a complimentary beat soup which was out of this world delicious (didn’t know soup could taste this good), and the service was amazing, staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great too, only a 5 minute drive from the main part of town. If you’re looking for a place to stay, or even just a place to eat out, this place is it! Would happily stay here, and eat here again.

BAD. I ordered spinach and cheese dumplings. While ordering, i confirmed with the waiter if it is ravioli and he said yes. This was a beautiful authentic Italian restaurant with fantastic food and genuine service. The bread was light and very fresh with fantastic flavour. Literally no need to add anything as it was gorgeous on it's own! Same could be said about the flavour of my pasta which was clearly freshly made, but the additional of a delicious sauce plus copious amounts of fresh truffles made it to die for!! We tried this place out after reading on the positive reviews and the food was indeed delicious. The service was okay, could be better. The waiter didn’t understand when we ordered hot tea but didn’t ask us to clarify and instead we were left wondering for quite some time about our drink. Only after 15-20mins when we asked and she said that she didn’t understand the order. But she apologized and brought us the hot tea. Other than that, the food came quite quickly and both of our dishes were delicious. We ordered the truffle pasta & lasagna. Wouldn’t mind coming back here again if we’re in the area.

Restaurant
AlpiNN by Norbert Niederkofler is a culinary gem nestled atop a mountain cliff in Kronplatz, South Tyrol. This restaurant offers not just a meal but an unforgettable dining experience with breathtaking views that enhance every bite. The modern architecture and thoughtful touches, like helmet hooks for cyclists, add to its charm. Guests can expect friendly service and exquisite dishes that would typically cost much more at similar venues in North America.
At AlpiNN, Norbert Niederkofler’s philosophy isn’t just reflected in the food—it defines the entire experience. We had The View experience, an exceptionally well-crafted tasting menu paired with both great wines and an excellent non-alcoholic pairing menu. Each dish showcased a deep respect for local ingredients and Alpine tradition, making for a truly memorable culinary journey. Beyond the food, the setting itself was breathtaking. The restaurant’s panoramic mountain views, combined with the sight of paragliders soaring past, added an almost surreal quality to the meal. It’s an ideal spot for a lunch break during a day of skiing at Kronplatz, offering both relaxation and inspiration in equal measure. Adding to the experience was the outstanding service. The staff were not only highly professional but also warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Their passion for the cuisine and careful attention to detail made us feel truly welcomed and enhanced our appreciation of every dish and pairing. A must-visit for anyone seeking a unique and elevated dining experience in the heart of the Dolomites!

It is advisable to book in advance, the view from the restaurant is breathtaking as is the food. From the bread to the last dishes, every dish is delicious and creative in flavors. The service is courteous and professional. It is highly recommended to come
Edna P — Google review
The location is nice and the view is beautiful. The food is very disappointing. It tasted like pre cooked instead of freshly prepared. The meat tasteless amd chewy, no fresh vegetables but soy beans with a sweet sauce , the same sauce was used for all different main dishes we ordered. We did not finish the dessert. All food is optimized for fast preparation, not taste. Summarized: come for the view, don’t eat there. A coffee at the bar area is sufficient.

A culinary experience beyond compare at 2275m height Perched high above the Puster Valley, AlpiNN is more than just a restaurant - it’s a place where the beauty of the Dolomites meets an extraordinary dining experience. The moment you step inside, the breathtaking panoramic views draw you in, creating a sense of serenity and connection to nature. The modern yet cozy design, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and natural materials, makes you feel like you’re floating above the mountains. And designed with natural materials, it blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, making you feel both grounded and elevated at the same time. But what truly sets AlpiNN apart isn’t just the setting or the food- it’s also the people. From the very start, Valeria from the service team made us feel incredibly welcome. Her professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge of of both the menu and wine selection plus non alcoholic pairing made our 5-course lunch experience even more enjoyable. Attentive yet never intrusive, she struck the perfect balance, ensuring that we felt both taken care of and completely at ease. It’s rare to find such a high level of service, and we deeply appreciated it. Then came the absolute highlight of our day when Norbert Niederkofler himself stopped by, took the time to personally introduce himself and even sat down at our table for a chat. We were very grateful having the opportunity to meet the mastermind behind Cook the Mountain in such an intimate setting - he is such a personalty. His passion for sustainability, respect for local ingredients, and dedication to his craft were truly inspiring. Of course, the food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish told a story of the region, crafted with seasonal ingredients that reflected the beauty of the mountains around us. From delicate Spaghettone Quadro to a perfectly balanced tartare, each bite was a testament to the philosophy of sustainable fine dining. AlpiNN isn’t just a restaurant - it’s an experience that lingers long after the last bite. If you ever find yourself in the Dolomites, do yourself a favor and make sure to visit. It’s a place where culinary excellence meets heartfelt hospitality, and we can’t wait to return.

Restaurant with an incredible view on a clear day! You can even watch solo paragliders. Food was good n reasonably priced. Service was great too. There are options for ala carte & tasting menu. Take note that the restaurant is ONLY accessible via the Kronplatz cableway which costs eur35 return journey per person. Besides dining at Alpinn, you get to walk around the area to enjoy the stunning view. I recommend coming here only if weather is very nice to make it worthwhile.

We booked “the View” portion of the restaurant to overlook the incredible mountains after a lovely cable car ride up to this restaurant! By the end of the five-course meal, we were full! The flavors were incredible, fresh, and unique. The gentleman had a great time ordering “blind drinks” and hearing the passionate cocktail master explain his creations. The connected Lumen museum of mountain photography was a nice extension of this food experience! Even though you can’t drive there (which we learned the hard way), the cable car ride was such a fun part of the experience!

Fvsion Cortina Restaurant is a hidden gem located just outside the main tourist area of Cortina. The restaurant, nestled at the bottom of an apartment complex, boasts a beautifully designed interior and offers a unique dining experience. Visitors rave about the amazing food and service, with special mentions for their vegan options including delicious soups, breads, mains, and desserts. The cozy atmosphere with pleasant background music adds to the overall dining experience.
Many vegan options (every section of the menu has at least 1), good food, very nice staff. The atmosphere is a bit tough as the design includes many fur and leather items. Otherwise nice place for vegans to eat and by far the most vegan options we saw in a restaurant is this area
Efrat D — Google review
We weren't planning to go out for dinner but our hotel restaurant close on Tuesdays, so we asked chatgpt what we could find in Cortina D'ampezzo with vegan food and Fvsion was the first option, honestly: the best. There are good options for vegan food and I need to say: everything we ordered was really good. I highly recommend it and the best part: you can take your dogs with you. For sure, one of the best options in Cortina for Japanese vegan food. We also had a Miso soup and the Bao with vegan pulled pork that we completely forgot to take pictures because it was amazing! Go for it! ps: the staff was also super friendly! Made the experience even better!
Samira F — Google review
This is a Very nice, upscale restaurant with good quality, well presented food and drinks. We had udon noodles (great) and sushi (average). The cocktails were nicely proportioned. The dessert was very artistically presented. What sets this restaurant apart though is the outstanding service, with all the staff very pleasant and helpful. At least from our experience, such quality of service is not the norm in Italy. It is a little bit out of the way from the main strip in town, but not very far. Overall, very much worth a visit.

The vegan pork bao and poke bowl were great. The nigiri was okay. The service was extraordinary. Knowledgeable about vegan and gluten free. Homemade ice cream was great and vegan

One of the best asian food you can find in Cortina. We ordered big mixed sushi which is served on ski board. Taste is nice!
Tararat N — Google review
The waitress only asked me still or sparking and brought out a 2L water glass bottle, then charge me 4 euro!!! I am a solo diner, how did they expect me to finish 2L of water? There was no way I can carry it back to my hotel, I came in limping with a walking cane and leg injury. Very insensitive and not cool. Should have inform me beforehand. I also had to wait for the table a long time with leg injury even though I booked the table in advance. Not to mention that she seated the people who came after me. Unacceptable! Food was okay, I was desperate for noodle and rice.

We ate at this restaurant on a Monday night in late October and were amazed to find a fabulous sushi spot in the Dolomites. They surprised us with the desserts at the end…you have to try the cotton candy!

Food and prices were OK, but there was a fly infestation that made it impossible to stay, let alone eat there. I looked down after seating and there were three flies on my legs alone, that become 15-20 swarming around us when the food got there. We tried changing table but the situation didn’t improve much. Restaurant Turmwirt is a charming eatery located in the historic center of Gudon, nestled between the church and Castel Summersberg. Housed in a 17th-century former clerk building, this family-run establishment has been serving seasonal and regional dishes for five generations. The menu features a selection of authentic local cuisine paired with fine wines from nearby vineyards. Guests can expect warm and intimate atmosphere with cozy candlelit ambience.
Delicious food, unique flavors, every dish was mouth watering. Warm atmosphere, the service was excellent and the owners were very welcoming. It’s a must visit. Can’t wait to go back again!

I had an excellent experience at Turmwirt. It felt like I was eating in a private club, with a charming and relaxed atmosphere, delicious food and kind service. If you’re in the area, this place really merits a visit. The town where it’s located is also nice to stroll around in after your meal.

Always great to return to Turmwirt with family and friends. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The food, refined interpretations of regional dishes, is delicious and the service very friendly and professional. The beautiful "Stube" provides the right setting for a cosy dinner.

One of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had. Every single dish ordered was par excellence. The ingredients, sourced locally, were fresh; the flavours refined and perfectly balanced. Coupled with the warm ambience, beautiful setting (overlooking the vineyards and the Dolomites) and absolutely wonderful service makes this place highly recommended

Our group of four arrived to the area late on a Monday afternoon. After checking into our hotel, we struggled to find a restaurant that was still open. We called Turmwurt and reserved a table for four at 8:00. We're so glad that we did because the food, service, and atmosphere were all so wonderful! Highly recommend for authentic local cuisine. Janbo Snack Disco Bar is a popular spot in the heart of Cortina d'Ampezzo, offering a vibrant atmosphere for aperitifs and lively evenings with DJ sets and live music. The bar boasts a spacious interior and can also accommodate private parties upon reservation. In the summer, guests can enjoy the outdoor terrace which opens at 10am, perfect for breakfast or light bites.
As close to fast food as you'll get in Cortina. Modern funky fun vibe at this place, tucked in near Hacker Pschorr pub. Quick service with good English. Hamburgers, toasts (toasted bread sandwiches and panini's. Great American Fries too, but they are really sweet potatoe fries--so good. Many beers on tap, including an IPA. Big assortment or other drinks and wines too. See pics. Very casual and fun place. Greek salad was good too. 👍

We had a great lunch here today! I had a “healthy bowling” which we would call rice bowls… edamame, black rice, avocado, salmon, etc…I was in vegetable heaven. The server was nice, as well. Clean bathroom. Reasonable prices for the Cortina centro. I would eat here again.

Quick and speedy service with great quality of burger meat. The waiters are attentive and the ambience is cool and youthful. The prices are reasonable for such good quality food. Great beer list! The burgers were clutch after a day skiing 🍔 the pesto one was excellent in my opinion. We loved the ambiance and music, and the staff was quick. I liked the IPA (not as easy to find out here!)
Jackie G — Google review
Small area for outside seating, but they are managing things well enough considering the weird times we are currently experiencing. I can imagine how much fun this place could be for Apres Ski parties. We have spent two days in Cortina, and Janbo was full each time we passed by. We have finally found a table for lunch right before leaving the town. There aren't many choices, but I am sure that you'll be able to find something you love. The portions are quite big, we have seen the sandwiches, club sandwich, and also the amount of chips that come with them. They also have sweet potato chips. Everything was nice and fresh. A few items on the menu are missing these days (Mid May '21), as expected, but the remaining bunch is more than enough.

Located centrally, Pontejel Bierstube Forst is not just a noisy beer house as the name might suggest, but a peaceful restaurant offering delicious Tyrolean and Venetian cuisine along with excellent beer. Visitors highly recommend trying the homemade beet 'ravioli,' Tyrol dumplings, and the Bierstube plate which includes 6 different items. The restaurant also offers balanced meals with options for veggies and protein, making it a standout in northern Italy.
Came here on a local recommendation. Excellent customer service – friendly and helpful with suggestions on the cuisine. I had the Bierstube Plate, which I thought was a great idea as it offered a bit of all the local dishes on one plate. Probably the best restaurant in town – at least during the low season.

Saw this restaurant on our first day in cortina on Monday. It was completely packed so we elected not to dine in that day. Came back 2 days later but at 6 not realizing that the full menu isn’t served until 7. We were hungry after a 10 mile hike so decided to stay. Ordered the lasagne and the Nuremberg sausages with sauerkraut. Both were sufficiently satisfying.

"Ampezzo Pizza" is a popular spot in Piazzale delle Poste offering delicious thin-crust pizza by the slice. My husband and I stopped by for dinner on our vacation and it was lovely. Even though the settings are casual it felt like a fine dining experience because the vibes were immaculate. we were here in the evening and the lights illuminating from the church and the yellow building across were so beautiful, The owner was incredibly sweet and had the best music playing, we sat under the heater with blankets that were provide and of course, the pizza was amazing!! Fine dining restaurant
In Viaggio - Claudio Melis Restaurant is a gourmet corner located in the heart of Bolzano, specifically in an ancient building at Piazza della Mostra, Pock Palace. The restaurant offers an intimate and tranquil dining experience with soft lighting and a limited number of seats. It has gained recognition for its creative, contemporary tasting menus that have earned it a Michelin star. The artful plates feature seasonal ingredients from the Alps and are as visually stunning as they are delicious.
My first Michelin star restaurant. Wow it was a great experience. The food of course was amazing but what made In Vaggio stand out the most was the service, it was first class. My wife and I had the 7 course chef tasting with wine pairing but with all the extra courses, we probably had 10+ courses! The Chef was very generous. He personally explained all the delicious courses and our waiter provided excellent wine pairings. The Chef even came out to say bye and thank you for having dinner there. It was an amazing meal only made better by the personal touches. This is a very small restaurant with only 5 tables so you will definitely need reservations. If you happen to be in Bolzano, I definitely would recommend this experience.

Incredible tasting menu experience with Claudio and the team. I can see why it’s so highly regarded in the reviews. Every course was beautifully put together and the idea behind all the wine pairings being natural wines kept it interesting and the taste pairings were managed perfectly. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something a bit special in the area.

Dinner at in viaggio is an experience. It's a small intimate resto with 5 tables in a very dark setting that provides for a tasting menu. The dishes are served by the chef himself and a quite creative. The wine pairing was top notch though I wished there were more local wines included. As for the food, though all of elements seemed interesting I felt that the flavors were quite subdued . Personally I wished they packed more flavor punch. The service was patient and friendly from the 2 team members I met.
Emma — Google review
This was an amazing dining experience. It is an intimate five table establishment. The chef has a skilled talent with balance of salt and acid and is even keeled with his use of fat. He served my most hated licorice that I ate and loved. Creative, balanced, exciting cuisine. No gimmicks or random experimentation. Excellent service. We so happened to book on an evening with just us, but, with the staggered reservations, I believe even a full restaurant would still feel like a private dining experience.
Victoria B — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Michelin-starred restaurant , and I must say, it was a remarkable experience. The talented chef curated a 9-course vegetarian meal that was not only creative but also made excellent use of local ingredients. Each course was a work of art, showcasing the flavors of Sudtyrol in a delightful way. From the first bite to the last, I was impressed by the chef's ingenuity in crafting dishes that celebrated vegetables in all their glory. The use of local produce added a unique and authentic touch to each plate. The atmosphere of the restaurant was simply enchanting. It created the perfect ambiance for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about the cuisine, which added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. In conclusion, my visit to this Michelin-starred restaurant in Bozen was an extraordinary culinary journey. For anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience with a focus on local ingredients and creativity, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit.
Philip D — Google review
We had a fantastic experience, one of the best gourmet restaurants we have ever visited. The food was excellent, beautiful flavours and textures with original wines. Exciting and original combinations but never artificial. The service was outstanding as well, both professional and informal. We felt very welcome. Chef Massimiliano Alajmo brings his expertise to craft dishes that blend contemporary flair with historical roots, ensuring each plate tells a story while delighting your palate.
Try the venison tartare with the Sicilian volcanic red wine. Sensational. We were greeted outside with umbrellas upon our arrival. Every dish was explained and lovingly prepared from start to finish. Beautiful view - arrive early to secure the window table! This was our best dining experience to date during our European trip.

This is my second time here after 1 year! Food is as good as ever .. I recommend the tomato and basil which is just sublime . The risotto with caviar and bone marrow was excellent as was the spaghetti with snails. Pasta was perfectly al dente . I tried the veal fillet this time and it was juicy and tender. The langoustines were interesting and delicious but seemed more like an appetiser than secondi. The tableside Tiramisu was an absolute delight as before. Great service and very pleasant staff. The view is fantastic from the top floor.

Our favourite restaurant in Cortina! Beautifully restored and decorated old house on a hill overlooking Cortina .. fantastic views Excellent service - it was raining when we arrived and staff came out with umbrellas , food service was equally professional and friendly . Davide served the best Tiramisu at the table - a first for us. The food was delicious and reasonable . The risotto with caviar and the artichoke ravioli were memorable. The pike went really well with the orange sauce and the langoustine with crispy pasta was imaginative . A truly must try in Cortina.

While it may be challenging to reach by car, the fantastic view and location make it worth the effort. Visitors can enjoy traditional South Tyrolean dishes prepared with care, amidst apple trees, providing a perfect setting for relaxation.
The best spot for lunch while hiking! Very friendly and quick staff, and tasty food! We had the Tortellini and the Cordon bleu, both were wonderful. For desert we recommend the Amaretto…

The menu boasts an array of dishes, each one crafted with care and bursting with flavor. The warm and welcoming staff made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
We dined at The Oberwirtskeller during our recent visit to the Süd Tirol region and this restaurant is now officially our Family Favourite Restaurant! We tried many dishes on their menu and everything is cooked to perfection and amazingly delicious !! The people who work here are very warm and welcoming. After our first meal here, we wanted to come back for more every evening ! Its a hidden gem nestled within the beautiful Rifiano ! Their Knödel and Käsespätzle was just out of the world delicious! 5 stars are not enough ❤️ Thanks for making our Süd Tirol vacation a memorable one ❤️

Nestled in San Cassiano in Alta Badia, Restaurant Mumant offers a warm and elegant atmosphere with wooden furnishings and stunning views of the Dolomites. The menu features exceptional meat options, although some feel that vegetarian choices could be more creative. Guests praise the attentive staff, lovely decor, and generous portions. Standout dishes include perfectly cooked venison and delectable desserts. The restaurant also boasts an impressive wine selection, making it a fantastic dining experience overall.
The menu has a lot of meat, vegetables and pasta, no fish. Good wine list. Unobtrusive and friendly staff. The atmosphere is a bit strange, no background music

We stumbled upon this place, but we're glad we did. The dinner was excellent. The service and atmosphere was very nice, more of a fine-dining vibe than many of the other local restaurants. The food was very good too. We especially enjoyed the veal tomahawk. It comes out slightly undercooked on a sizzling hot slab.
Cara M — Google review
Our favourite restaurant in the Dolomites - we had to come back on our last night as well. More of a fine dining experience but most people are in hiking gear so the environment feels a lot more relaxed. Service is on point - super friendly and prompt. The food is so good - the veal, fries and smoked ravioli are definitely the highlights. The crispier parts of the veal tastes like KFC which is so good! I personally wasn’t a fan of the mushroom pasta but I hear it’s one of the most popular dishes.
Katherine H — Google review
Amazing food with attentive staff. The table and the venue are decorated nicely. Table napkin was held in a ring, which was a cute and nice touch. The food was generally nice, but the venison was a particular stand out. The venison was cooked perfectly and went really nicely with the sauce and cabbage. Dessert was also nice, and the ice cream was amazing.

It is hard to impress me and it's a rare moment that I take that extra effort to write a opinion about any place, but this is worth it. Everyone and everything was great here- very pleasant greeting, very helpful, proffesional and, what is most important, kind people, tastful interior, but this is not what you come to restarant for. Food is here some kind of epiphany for me- when you look for "fully packeged" holiday experience than you should try Mumants food. I'm surten that I'll be back.
Michał F — Google review
Holy moly we were not prepared for how good of a meal this was. Every dish was a hit in its own way: the Taglioni with truffle was beautifully rich; the activated charcoal ravioli were like having smoky BBQ but somehow without any meat (also they present it in a smoky bell jar); the calenderi on vegetables was soft and a delicious mix with the hint of fennel; the fried carciofi (artichoke) with fondue and egg and truffle was an unexpectedly marvelous pairing; the peanut Bavarian cream dessert was also a flavorful treat. The staff were also very sweet and with a full dining room, the ambiance was really cozy and romantic. Would 100% come back!

1. I loved this area and this restaurant was full to the brim while other restaurants were not. 2. The food was absolutely lovely. 3. The manager was so attentive and sweet. 4. The ambiance is pretty basic but the whole thing works so well that all tables were taken. 5. When the weather is good, do make reservation. Highly recommended.
C M — Google review
The only good thing with this restaurant is the presentation. The food is bland and rather meh, for the price and look of the place I'd expect much more. Tartar was made from ground meat (!?), venison nicely served rare but was still quite tasteless. The service was kind, but also haphazard and a bit amateurish. Waiter didn't speak English, and got a hold of another customer that translated to German. Dumblings were nicely presented but not very tasteful. Wine was corked, but waiter said "it's ok" (but we got another bottle)

Excellent. We had to wait to pay the bill. Food was excellent. Biggest pizza I’ve ever had but delicious and I took some home. Very reasonable and the salads were also excellent - fresh and varied.
Rosa B — Google review
This very lively leafy location is certainly worth the wooded walk from downtown Merano. We visited three times during our stay and could see that it is clearly beloved by the local construction workers, families, and visitors. The pizzas are indeed huge as promised. One seems plenty for two people. Large hot rectangles of lasagna were delicious and comforting. Their generous salads are fresh and crisp. All the servers were working hard and incredibly busy- but without clear info about guests waiting to be seated, they were often pulled away to sort out the tables and reservations. Overall, a really fun and filling destination with somewhat chaotic though well meaning service.

We visited in late December - It was packed and we didn't have a reservation (Call ahead for a reservation!), but we got lucky and a nice German couple invited us to sit at the bar with them. The pizza was unreal - I'd put it top 5 that I've ever had - Thin crust, well done w/ delicious toppings. Excellent vibes, great service, highly recommend!

Great place to eat and meet. The early opening hours (from 5 PM) are a nice advantage compared to other restaurants. The food is perfect. The only small downside is the lack of an English menu, which can make ordering a bit slower for non-German and non-Italian speaking guests. The restaurant also has a lovely, atmospheric outdoor garden area, perfect for warmer evenings. It's a popular spot, so it's a good idea to call ahead and reserve a table.

Amazing. Really. This place stood out after staying in Merano for about a week. So make sure to call ahead! We had a fabulous meal. We ordered two, very reasonably priced and delicious handmade flatbread pizzas. We also order the salad, which was much larger than we expected, along with the house wine. at the end of the meal we said: "wish we had tried this on the first night of our stay! Certainly would have returned multiple times!"

During my recent adventure in the breathtaking Dolomites, I stumbled upon a delightful culinary treasure known as Pizzeria Ristorante Erich, conveniently located just a short stroll from my cozy B&B in Sexten. This charming eatery quickly became a favorite, prompting me to return for a second visit during my three-night stay. On my first evening, I savored their hearty barley and ham soup followed by goulash and an impressive mixed meat plate that left me thoroughly satisfied.
On our recent trip to the Dolomites, we stayed at a B&B in Sexton, and had the privilege of being walking distance from this gem of a restaurant. We enjoyed our meal so much the first night that we returned a second time during our 3-night stay. All the food was very good and the prices were great as well!

€7.80 Margarita pizza had no flavor, probably made with canned tomato sauce and frozen cheese. Where I live in Italy a margarita is €5 and taste amazing. Usually its hard to find a bad pizza, someone I managed. I should of just heated up water and made noodles with my camper stove, would of tasted better.

Decent but not memorable We stopped by Pizzeria La Veneziana for a casual dinner. Overall, the experience was okay, but nothing really stood out. The kids had Margherita pizzas, which were fine – nothing to complain about, but nothing special either. I tried the crudo con bufala e asparagi, and unfortunately it didn’t work for me. The asparagus were marinated, which gave the dish a strange tang and threw off the overall taste. We also ordered the bruschetta mozzarella. It looked promising but ended up being just okay – toasted bread with cherry tomatoes and some mozzarella, but a bit underwhelming for the price. Service was decent, and the place has a typical pizzeria atmosphere, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return. Not bad, just very average.

Calva Restaurant B&B Apartments, a spacious eatery that appeared to be short-staffed, was bustling with customers. Although the wait for drinks was slightly longer than desired, the request to replace an ice-cold bottle of red wine with one at room temperature was accommodated. While the menu boasted a variety of enticing options, it seemed that many patrons were opting for pizza.
Great restaurant. The pizzas are super delicious and reasonably priced. The service in the restaurant is great. Wonderful girls and a very sympathetic patron. I can't judge the rooms because I always stay with friends living in Laatsch. The area around Laatsch/Mals/Burgeis is magnificent though.

A lovely restaurant in a quiet little town. The interior is bright and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The food is excellent — I especially recommend the Tiroler Tris. There’s also a small playground behind the restaurant with a swing and a playhouse, which is great for children.

We arrived very late without a reservation, however they arranged a table for us and we order both pasta which was delicious. The wine I had was excellent and in total it was very much affordable. All in all they were very kind and the food was good. We can definitely recommend this restaurant.

This was a very large restaurant and a little understaffed. It was quite busy and we waited a bit to place our drink order. We placed it and the bottle of red wine was ice cold, so we asked to send it back so we could get one at room temperature. They had a nice menu but it looked like most of the people were ordering pizza. My wife ordered Wiener schnitzel, since we were in the Sudtirol, but to our amazement it came out of a deep fat frier! I had not seen that before. It was not fine dining, nor was it fast food, it was somewhere in between. It was not a bad experience just not a great one and not what we had expected? Like most restaurants in that part of the world dogs were allowed in the dining room and we had one literally right next to us.

Sat out in the terrace. Underwhelming but the food made up for it. Spaghetti with seafood off the charts. Pizzas looked so good. Service friendly even though super busy. Will be back for pizza and homemade desserts 😊

The apartments and the restaurant were renoved with modern design, but respecting the tradition of the region. This makes apartments very warm and confortable. The owners are fantastic, they designed the structure to satisfate all guests and they are always ready to take in charge the specific requests of their guests.

Well, I reserved a table for the terrace and got there to be greeted by an unfriendly service lady who told me that apparently my reservation was not valid and we had to sit inside - which is not possible for us during a pandemic. And she did not try to accommodate us in any other way.

Pizzium in Bolzano is a new, authentic Neapolitan pizzeria located just an 8-minute walk from the Otzi Museum. The place offers high-quality and delicious pizzas, with a variety of traditional flavors to choose from. The friendly staff, including server Vince who speaks English, provides excellent service and helps patrons select their perfect pizza. In addition to their fabulous classic pizzas straight from Napoli, Pizzium also offers other traditional Italian delicacies for visitors to enjoy.
Delicious pizza, many different pizza options and very helpful staff. Our dog was also with us without any problems which was very positive. We will definitely come back here on our next visit to Bolzano.

Located inside the Bolzano city, the pizzeria by name pizzium is a good option for pizza lovers (only). The ambience is really good. I would say the seating arrangements inside are bit compact. They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. This place offers quality pizza in a budget. Tiramisu was not expected the way it was served (both quality and quantity). Still everything was good. The staff were friendly. Finding a place to dine was not easy for the first time. They can do well for the betterment. All the best team✌️

Great Margherita with vegan cheese, which is not sticky at all. Thick layer of quality tomato sauce. Appreciated. The beers were a bit suspicious, two of the same but tasted and looked completely different. Maybe based on which patch is from?

Nice pizzeria close to the Bolzano Saturday Street Market. They offer a very good selection of pizzas with an unusually extensive list of region-specific toppings. In addition to pizza, you can also choose appetizers and locally brewed IPA beer. The friendly staff speaks English and makes you feel well taken care of

This place is legit. If you are looking for high quality, tasty, and authentic Neapolitan pizza this is your place. Our server Vince was outstanding. We had a large group so I tried about 5 different pizzas. Really top notch. I think the restaurant is new thus the small number of reviews. Only about a 8 minute walk from the ötzi museum.

Pizzeria ABC is a laid-back eatery that offers a variety of pizzas and traditional local dishes, complemented by a selection of beer and wine. Visitors have praised the delicious pizzas and generous portions, with some even comparing it to the finest in Naples. The restaurant's authentic atmosphere has been well-received, adding to its charm. Guests have also highlighted the friendly and efficient staff as well as the quick service.
I saw this restaurant in a very plain looking passage, but when I peeked in the window, I could tell it was good. I had the spinach cannelloni with a mixed green salad. Both were quite satisfying. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked tasty. Service was excellent. I will be back for the pizza.

We were looking for a more local place and the reviews seemed positive. We ate lunch on the earlier side so there were a lot of empty tables, mostly booths, but when we walked in we were pointed to the booth right next to the front door and felt the cold every time folks walked in. We ordered two pizzas and a glass of wine, the pizzas were good and served quickly. The check came and it was double what I expected, the money was taken out of my hand before I could ask and the waiter left quickly but I asked for the bill and found that added to our bill was an expensive 3rd lunch, the second I mentioned the waiter apologized and corrected it but the way it all transpired was odd - he was not going to give me the receipt until I asked. I know mistakes happen but the poor seating and the doubling of the bill did not sit well with us.
Renee — Google review
To be honest, this is my first actually good review EVER! My girlfriend had to roll me out of this restaurant since i ate way more than i should have. The Pizza was delicious and also the pasta i had for "desert". I have been many times in italy, and this was one of the best pizzas i have ever had. Napoletana at its finest! So you really cant argue about the food. Its just good. The atmosphere is maybe not what everybody likes, but personally i liked it alot. Its authentic. Many locals eat there, children playing in front of it, it was very crowded and loud inside, but thats what a pizzeria should be in my opinion. If you look for a calm place for a romantic candlelight dinner, its maybe not the best choice. But if you look for an authentic italian pizzeria with authentic and delicious food then you will like this place. The service was good and charming, i liked the authenticity here aswell. You dont get treated like a king here, its not snobby at all, but neither are they unfriendly. Not at all. It was very friendly and we got exactly what we hoped for. Oh and yes the prices are very fair, especially for this quality. 10/10 would come again!!

The pizza was excellent, but this is the second time the ELDERLY LADY has treated me disrespectfully. It seems she doesn’t like tourists or has an issue with them, as the difference in how she treats locals compared to tourists is very noticeable. This is a major drawback, especially considering the location is in a popular tourist city. Moreover, she cannot expect tourists to speak Italian. It would be better if, when she doesn’t understand what is being said, she calls a colleague who speaks English instead of pretending not to hear. This wouldn't be an issue if she would be polite.

Not recommended for non-German customer. One server was very unfriendly and unwilling to serve us. We appeared as travelers that cannot speak German or Italian, but she continued speaking to us in German with annoyance and angry attitude. We saw some menus from this place on social media and asked her what its called because we cannot understand the menu fully and find it by ourselves. But she snapped, raising her voice and saying that, this is not okay and that one friend of us should try to find it on the menu (one friend can speak a bit of German) and help ourselves... Also when we tried to order, she intentionally showed us that she is very annoyed and upset that we didn't see the side dish page on the menu... Very unpleasant experience. The food is okay.

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, not exaggerating We arrived on a Wednesday as walk-ins. No problem. There’s a good drink selection, from which we ordered beer and a drink. The menu is filled with amazing-sounding pizzas. We took the house pizza and the “Wald” pizza. Honestly is was amazing. The dough was just right, and everything is hand made from the moment you order. Service was good and the dessert was good as well. Amazing value for money. 45€ for two drinks, water, two pizzas, coffee and dessert.
