This very lively leafy location is certainly worth the wooded walk from downtown Merano. We visited three times during our stay and could see that it is clearly beloved by the local construction workers, families, and visitors. The pizzas are indeed huge as promised. One seems plenty for two people. Large hot rectangles of lasagna were delicious and comforting. Their generous salads are fresh and crisp. All the servers were working hard and incredibly busy- but without clear info about guests waiting to be seated, they were often pulled away to sort out the tables and reservations. Overall, a really fun and filling destination with somewhat chaotic though well meaning service.

We visited in late December - It was packed and we didn't have a reservation (Call ahead for a reservation!), but we got lucky and a nice German couple invited us to sit at the bar with them. The pizza was unreal - I'd put it top 5 that I've ever had - Thin crust, well done w/ delicious toppings. Excellent vibes, great service, highly recommend!

Great place to eat and meet. The early opening hours (from 5 PM) are a nice advantage compared to other restaurants. The food is perfect. The only small downside is the lack of an English menu, which can make ordering a bit slower for non-German and non-Italian speaking guests. The restaurant also has a lovely, atmospheric outdoor garden area, perfect for warmer evenings. It's a popular spot, so it's a good idea to call ahead and reserve a table.

5* for Mösl and Top place with absolutely amazing environment, restaurants are serving traditional Súd Tirol food , vine and apple farms here cover all the possible landscape in the vicinity, the quality vines from Süd Tyrol and from Bolzano area is know all over the world I recommend this area to all vine lovers, and also the beautiful mountains environment guarantees amazing scenery.

Amazing. Really. This place stood out after staying in Merano for about a week. We showed up after seeing positive reviews on yelp, and were told that we were welcome so long as we could wrap up before 8pm so that reservation holders could have thier table. So make sure to call ahead! We had a fabulous meal. We ordered two, very reasonably priced and delicious handmade flatbread pizzas. We also order the salad, which was much larger than we expected, along with the house wine. at the end of the meal we said: "wish we had tried this on the first night of our stay! Certainly would have returned multiple times!"

A nice local restaurant. The food is very tasty and you should be hungry as the portions are huge. It's a little outside of the touristy city center and therefore you see more local people around there;)

We liked cleanliness and access to undeground garage (extra 10 eur). Beds are pretty comfortable. Disliked · Condition of the bathroom is very poor, some elements are even dangerouns (shower seat, see photos). Room equpement is very basic, as is choice of foor for breakfast (there was no salad at all). TV is very small. Bathroom doors cannot be fully closed. Rooms oriented at Via Scuderia are VERY noisy. For 150 euros for 2 per night this is unacceptable.

A festively laid table and garland above it. Thank you! I also asked weather they had a gluten free desert which they could bring with some candles after the main course. Turns out they did not. But (service: solid 5) the chef prepared a gluten free rich an delicious cake just for us. Pizza is delicious, location is cozy and service is unsurpassable.

Rooms are ok. The breakfast is great - authentic italian salami. The road and train is too close to leave the windows open in our room. From the stairways a lot of noisr during our one night stay. Wednesday is the restaurant closed. Yes a lot of downturns but the owner was very welcome and i would say it was ok.

Food was great and service very friendly and helpful. We had a fussy/hungry daughter and they were very patient with us. Definitely recommended!

When I arrived, things were not going well for me. I had left a backpack containing passports on the train to Bolzano. I had little idea of the best way to proceed to try and recover it. At the Hotel Cavallino, Dirk was at the reception desk. I asked him if he could help. Initially, he did not seem to have any good ideas either, but after a few minutes, he was on the phone. After a 15-minute conversation, he told me that the backpack had been located and I could go back to Bolzano to meet an incoming train and reclaim it. He had also arranged for me to meet the police at the station to verify that the backpack was mine. His solution was flawless. I was very happy and very impressed with the effort he made on our behalf. Thanks Dirk! Following that adventure, of course I would have a favorable opinion. But I can honestly say that our stay was very pleasant in every regard. The location was excellent. It is directly across the road from the Merano-Maia Bassa train station. There is a bus stop right at the hotel, and a bike path goes into Merano. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant fare was tasty. And, to an exceptional degree, the staff was friendly and helpful. Altogether, it was a great place to stay in Merano.

We were looking for a more local place and the reviews seemed positive. We ate lunch on the earlier side so there were a lot of empty tables, mostly booths, but when we walked in we were pointed to the booth right next to the front door and felt the cold every time folks walked in. We ordered two pizzas and a glass of wine, the pizzas were good and served quickly. The check came and it was double what I expected, the money was taken out of my hand before I could ask and the waiter left quickly but I asked for the bill and found that added to our bill was an expensive 3rd lunch, the second I mentioned the waiter apologized and corrected it but the way it all transpired was odd - he was not going to give me the receipt until I asked. I know mistakes happen but the poor seating and the doubling of the bill did not sit well with us.

To be honest, this is my first actually good review EVER! My girlfriend had to roll me out of this restaurant since i ate way more than i should have. The Pizza was delicious and also the pasta i had for "desert". I have been many times in italy, and this was one of the best pizzas i have ever had. Napoletana at its finest! So you really cant argue about the food. Its just good. The atmosphere is maybe not what everybody likes, but personally i liked it alot. Its authentic. Many locals eat there, children playing in front of it, it was very crowded and loud inside, but thats what a pizzeria should be in my opinion. If you look for a calm place for a romantic candlelight dinner, its maybe not the best choice. But if you look for an authentic italian pizzeria with authentic and delicious food then you will like this place. The service was good and charming, i liked the authenticity here aswell. You dont get treated like a king here,its not snobby at all, but neither are they unfriendly. Not at all. It was very friendly and we got exactly what we hoped for. Oh and yes the prices are very fair, especially for this quality. 10/10 would come again!!

Great little tapas bar with a good beverage with or without alcohol selection. A place where locals go to hrab a small bite, they have paninis, bruscetta and tapas from a buffet inside, all freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. Not a lot of seats inside and a few tables outide which are great to people watch. I loved the place and recommend it. The prices are very reasonable too and the service super friendly.

I cannot say how the pizza was as the waitress/owner was so rude she made me want to leave and go next door where I have been welcomed with a smile and a willingness to prepare 2 take aways! Go to Bruschetta if you want to be treated with respect.

Great local restaurant run by Asians. They don't have siesta, so they're open all the time. Prices are very very low (6€ for a pizza) and the vibe in there is like no other and by going there you can really feel like local. The lady from the service was very nice, only she did not speak English, but we could easily talk with her in german.

I went in for breakfast this morning. I ordered a croissant with cream and a cheesecake. In the end they said there was nothing. Why add something to the menu that isn't there.

As an English speaker coming here… the food was very poor quality, we ordered a burger with bacon and 2 meat paties but got 1 strip of bacon and 2 extremely thin meat paties for a extreme price (€6.50) with no ketchup and no vegetables. The prices for everything were approx 40% higher than the prices in UK. When we asked a member of staff wether the order called out was ours, she wouldn’t give me the time of day and told me to (in her language) to look at the screen (pointed). Then 3 mins later it turned out that order was actually ours (after it was repeat called by other staff). There was no counter with tissues, straws or sauces either. We don’t recommend, wouldn’t come here again.

On a quiet evening, my friend and I were the ONLY order to be prepared and they forgot my friend's burger. A performance not to be missed!!

Yesterday they children was running everywhere. All the time changing and sitting behind empty tables. I was feeling like in playground. We wanted to eat something fast after long day and we were disgusted. The stuff didn't do nothing. Even the tables WAS not desinfected after them. If i could put less than 5 stars i would do.

We spent one month in Italy and this was the best pizza we had. Myself and my daughter had gluten free pizzas (thank you) as I am coeliac, and my husband and son had regular. They were all fantastic. Wish I could go back and dine there again but I am on the other side of the world. The staff were also very easy to interact with, especially when we don't speak Italian. Don't worry that it doesn't look fancy, go and enjoy the food!

The caprese salad is unfortunately definitely overpriced with 10,50€ for 5 thin slices of Mozzarella. Still I would recommend this Restaurant for the Pizza! The terrace is right beside a busy road, so not really inviting.
