Mountains
Marmolada is a stunning 10,968-ft. mountain with multiple summits, offering an aerial tram and wintertime skiing. From its peaks, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of surrounding mountains such as Peitlerkofel, Odle and Puez groups, Gran Cir, Sella group, Langkofel, Plattkofel, Pala group, Vajolet towers, Rosengarten group with the Kesselkogel peak and the Schlern.
I have really enjoyed. Beautiful views around, from view terrace. About clouds, and few degrees less as down. Absolutely worth it 👌
Bogna A — Google review
Absolutely stunning. Make sure you have enough points on your ticket for going back down. At the top it’s just a viewpoint and a ski area. It’s very basic. The middle area has food and gifts. The food is also basic. It has more of a diner feel. Still leave enough time to go slow and enjoy the view.
Bronson K — Google review
Awesome views! Dolomites are amazing scenery, never disappoint. From the highest reachable point in the range (without rock climbing), you can see more that you can take in! The 360-degree observation deck is spectacular! The cable car ride up is interesting and intriguing. Great stop if anywhere near the area. The café/bar has good food (service was really slow when our group stopped in) at the 2nd stop, also the bathrooms, museum, and access to some trails with WWI tunnels. Top has the 360 deck where you are right there with Punta Rocca, plus the glacier and all the glory of the Dolomites spreading out all around you.

The most beautiful peak in the Dolomites The highest Full comfort Three cable cars with breathtaking views Amazing souvenir shop Many options for photo spots Option to climb on foot or by cable car (at the second station) Suitable for everyone It is possible to take the elevator from the top floor to the 4th and take photos on the snow surface There is a charming and well-kept museum about the First World War on the territory Very clean area. Marmolada, known as the "Queen of the Dolomites", is the highest mountain group in the Eastern Alps. Its highest peak, Ponte Peña, rises to a height of 3,343 meters above sea level and is surrounded by an impressive perennial glacier. The Marmolada area, which extends over more than 2,200 square kilometers, is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites due to its unique landscapes. Highly recommend The trip is recommended for a few good hours, starting at 9 am

I did the West ridge via ferrata. It was beautiful but cloudy. It's not a particularly challenging ferrata but there is a bit of snow below the forcella della Marmolada and on the ridge. I highly recommend the strudel in Punta penia hut. Keep in mind that it can get quite crowded.
Varpu V — Google review
We visited here with my family in August, we arrived in the morning, but the parking lot was already full, so parking was difficult, we had to wait in a line for about 30 minutes to get to the cable car, which is relatively expensive, but it's worth it because it takes you up to 3300 meters very quickly. At the highest point there is a lookout and there is a possibility to go on a covered glacier, but there is no restaurant or toilet, only at the middle station. The view of the Dolomites is beautiful from the top, it wasn't that cold up there, about 12 degrees Celsius.

Fantastic view ! Came from the 🇺🇸, Michigan, to ski in Italy 🇮🇹. Beautiful scenery. Snow ❄️ conditions when we went were not the best . So some days were icy 🥶. And we also went during Christmas/new Years. A few days the lines were massive!

Pordoi Pass, located at an impressive altitude of 2,239 meters, is a paved mountain road in the Dolomites that attracts hikers and bikers. It serves as a border between the provinces of Trento and Belluno and offers breathtaking views. The pass is a popular starting point for walks, excursions for experienced road enthusiasts, and via ferrata in the summer.
We came in May, the cable car was closed but the view was amazing anyway!

beatiful but crowded. but amating mountain views and seeing a couple of ground squirrels made it up👍we found a paid parking place even at around 10.30 when we arrived (2 euros/hour) and were able to take a nice track. I prefer less people in the mountains, but stoll loved this place.
Kateřina H — Google review
A breathtaking view. We spent some time at the top, took in the scenery, had a drink, and went up and down by cable car. Definitely recommended!

We drove from Cortina to Lake Garda using as much of the Great Dolomite Road as we could en route which of course included driving over the Falzarego & Pordoi Passes. You can even award yourself a little stamp using the ink pad at the top of the Pordoi Pass! A nice driving day through the Dolomites
Toxteth G — Google review
We have been to the Dolomites for the 3rd time. And we never managed to get to this peak. This time we planned a whole day for it! And we did not regret it for a second: the best views in the Alps!!! The price of 30 euros for the lift is very good!!!

Hiking Trails
Sass Pordoi is a breathtaking high plateau-like rock summit in the Dolomites, accessible by a popular cable car and favored by hikers. The area offers beautiful walks and more challenging hikes around Canazei, including on Sass Pordoi, Piz Boe, and the Sella or Sassolungo. The cable car ride itself provides awesome views, while walking around the high plateau offers even more stunning vistas.
Amazing views and an awesome trail. Please note that this trail to Piz Boe is a challenging one and not suitable for everyone . Amazing place though and very different from Secada. Definitely like walking on the moon :)
Maxim B — Google review
Sasso Pordoi is an absolute must-visit! The views are simply breathtaking — it feels like standing on top of the world. Whether you hike up or take the cable car, the experience is unforgettable. A perfect place to pause, breathe in the mountain air, and feel the magic of the Dolomites.
Anna K — Google review
If I could live here I would. It’s just an amazing place that brings you joy no matter what. It it truly stunning and majestic. The rock formations are beautiful and powerful to see, mixed with the green fields that are also quite beautiful. All these mountain ranges are out of this world and also world class. I did biking and the trails are amazing!!
Jonathan C — Google review
Very different views and terrains than any other place we hiked in the dolomites. A desert pocket on a top of a mountain. There is an option to take a rather steep side trail right after the rifugio to make it a circular day trek. Note that it is not an easy day, about 7-8 hours with 500 meters descend and climbing back up, so be prepared if you take that trail.
Barr D — Google review
Breathtaking views, totally worth it! The gondola lift is working till 5pm, very fast - gets you up in just 1.5 minute. What looks like a moutain peak from below is actually a plateau - you have a long hike around. You have two distinctive landscapes out there - a view of the mountains around and a moon or Duna-like view of the plateau itself, a whitish stone desert. Allow for at least an hour at the top to enjoy - and more if you want to take a longer hike
Andriy S — Google review
Top of the Dolomites, effortless. Already the cable car ride offers awesome views; even more so does walking around the high plateau which this summit really is.
Matthias K — Google review
Favorite ride up the cable car. Very high peak, with snow on the top. Stunning view, especially with the snow still there in mid June.

It is also a significant location for retracing the places of the Great War, with La Ferrata of the Trenches providing an adventurous route suitable for expert hikers. Accessible from Canazei, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the Dolomites during a 35-minute drive from the town center.
You can walk or ride across the dam which is very nice

If you find yourself in the vicinity of the Dolomites, this picturesque spot with the dramatic backdrop of the Marmolada Glacier is worth the detour. The path around the lake is ideal for a leisurely walk. It’s relatively flat, well-marked, and suitable for all fitness levels. The trail winds gently around the lake, allowing for a relaxing stroll while taking in the breathtaking scenery.

The Chiesa di San Floriano, a classic mountain church situated in the historic center of Canazei, is an exquisite sight to behold. Its exterior beauty is accentuated by its location in the picturesque town. With a rich historical significance, this small church holds particular interest for those intrigued by the past. The age of the building can be deduced from its appearance and unique bell tower, which stands as a testament to the region's architectural heritage.

Quaint old church in downtown Canazei. Worth a quick look if you're in the area.
Andrew R — Google review
(Translated by Google) The Church of San Floriano, located in the heart of Canazei, is one of the oldest and most fascinating places of worship in the Val di Fassa. This sacred building, dedicated to San Floriano, patron saint of firefighters and protector against fires, represents an important symbol of Ladin faith and culture. The construction of the church probably dates back to the 14th century, in an era in which Christianity was consolidated in the Dolomite valleys. Over the centuries, the church has been enlarged and restored several times, while maintaining its original structure and Gothic character intact. It has been the spiritual center of Canazei for centuries, acting as a point of reference for the local population. The building has a simple structure, with a slender bell tower that dominates the panorama of the town. Its façade is sober, but contains architectural details typical of Gothic art. Saint Florian is a figure of great importance in the Christian tradition. His devotion was particularly felt in Alpine areas, where the danger of fires often threatened villages. The church, in addition to its spiritual value, represents an important testimony to Ladin history and cultural identity.

(Translated by Google) Small church located in the historic center of Canazei. Small in size, it probably dates back to the 16th century. Hit by a grenade during the fighting of the First World War and damaged by the 1976 earthquake (the one that caused disasters in Friuli, so to speak...), it was later restored. Public swimming pool
Dolaondes is a water center located in the Dolomites near Canazei di Fassa, covering 2,400 square meters. It features four thematic areas: 'Water & Fun' with five pools, 'Eghes Wellness' for relaxation, 'Sport & Fitness' with a gym, and 'Eat & Drink'. Visitors can enjoy warm water activities and find it to be kid-friendly. The facility offers high-quality materials and fantastic showers and lockers.
Great swimming pool. Outdoor saline pool @32.5oC. Well organised. Wristbands track entry and egress (charges apply over 2.5hrs) and are the electronic keys to the lockers. You also use the wristband to collate purchases at the pool side cafe. Slick.
Trefor R — Google review
Terrible experience, probably the worst spa ever. We basically got in and run away after 15 mins, not even caring about almost 100€ that we paid and of course weren’t refunded. Sauna zone is nudist only, you are not even allowed to sit on a towel - why am I supposed to put intimate parts of my body on a bench after a random stranger with unknown health conditions? But at the same time you can enter pool only with a cap (!?) - if you don’t have yours, you need to buy one. Water in outside pool is super cold, we were freezing. Pools are super crowded. Very rude staff - they start shouting and running after you in case you break any of their ‘rules’ immediately. NOT RECOMMENDED!
Anastasiya N — Google review
We thought about going to relax in sauna. There were many more people who thought the same. Fair. Queue was very slow (20ppl entered within 35min). Pity they are opened only until 20 so that made it impossible for us to attend. I bet with longer hours there could be less crowd and better experience for guests.
Marek M — Google review
This was a great place to go after a long day skiing. It is definitely kid friendly, which we liked (but I see in other reviews it's an issue). The water was warm for us, but not too hot. I would have liked hotter but what can you do. You do have to have a swim cap, which is a pain (but you can convienently buy one of theirs).
Dan K — Google review
We were kicked out for a very specific, misogynist, discriminatory rule: women can’t wear swimsuits that are somewhat pants-like. We were 2 men & 3 women. The men were let in, no problem. The women were interrogated for their swimsuits — typical ones — and then prohibited entrance for it. Through it all, the stuff was super rude & accusatory — and told us to just go already, with no refund. This happened with no previous alert, no mention of it whatsoever, and only when we were already in the pool after going through the wardrobes, showering, and putting on swim cap they made us buy (even for the short-haired). Silver lining is the owner. He did not compromise whatsoever, but he did give us the money back and was significantly less rude. I guess anything would seem like good service after this experience -_-
Daniel F — Google review
Good place for nice relaxing after skiing!!! Clean well organized with multiple attractions with water! Tremendous outside pool with salt water and wonderful mountain landscape around.
Kostiantyn Y — Google review
Very well run- really clean and lots of fun pools to swim in
Zeva G — Google review
I didn’t like it. First of all, very crowded and lots of children yelling. Secondly, the staff is not very helpful and borderline rude. Finally, the whole experience was freezing. The main pool is so cold, the “heated” pool outside is cold, the common areas were cold and, cherry on the top, even the hand dryers in the bathrooms were cold. One 2.5 hrs entry is 18 euros and if you want to use the sauna is 40 euros, and they don’t even provide a towel... Extremely expensive for such a disappointing experience.

Glacier
Nestled between Austria and Italy, the Marmolada Glacier is a breathtaking destination that offers not only stunning views but also a rich historical backdrop. This immense limestone glacier served as a significant battlefront during World War I, with an informative museum located at its base that provides insight into this tumultuous period.
Beautiful ski resort, I didn't manage to ski as I wasn't ready and the weather on the day I went was foggy; I was told it's not suitable for a ski beginner to ski at the Marmolada peaks. I went to the museum; it's FOC. There's a souvenir shop near there that offers varieties of souvenirs. Will definitely come back again.
Mae_Tasha P — Google review
Had a great time. The hotel accommodation near the cable cart of the Marmolada peaks, in which i stayed, was not nice. That’a said, the Marmolada peak and Dolomites cross sectional view was great. Unfortunately, the glacier was not available due to the unfortunate incident in Jul 2022 in which the glacier melted due to high heat this year and resulted in causalities

Zoran S — Google review

Maryna I — Google review
Very nice when conditions are right
Vytis L — Google review
Went there for skiing. I heard a lot that the wait at the cable car can be up to over 1h. I honestly just waited 10min, it really depends on the weather (was rather overcast) and on what day (weekday). The cable car ride up is pretty spectacular with amazing views. You got to change the cable car tdice before arriving on top. The mountain station sadly is kinda ugly: its a large industrial looking metal box. There is no restaurant, cafe or souvenir shop there, only a viewing platform and restrooms. Its not like visiting mt. Titlis, which isnt necessarily a bad thing, you only have skiers up there and no other tourists. The ski run down is very nice and long, can be a bit crowded though since its only 1 ski run down. In bad weather you can do multiple laps but in good weather its just too crowded and time consuming to do multi laps. To conclude its definitely a great place to go if you're in the greater sellaronda ski area. Went there on skis from Ortisei.

The views of the Selloronda mountain and surrounding area were amazing as we went around the orange circuit. I've dropped a star because of the delays due to the bottle necks at some of the gondolas and chairlifts on the route.

Shani K — Google review
OK, if here for a week, you will probably want to do the Sellaronda one day. But probably not two days - as it involves a lot of sitting on lifts. Great views on a nice day, so perhaps worth it on a nice sunny day.

Sellaronda is a breathtaking ski circuit in the Dolomites, offering stunning mountain views and a diverse range of slopes. The interconnected ski resorts of Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Arabba, and Val di Fassa create a seamless experience for skiers and snowboarders. The variety of slopes caters to different skill levels, making it suitable for both beginners and advanced riders. The picturesque villages along the route add charm to the overall experience. However, during peak seasons, the Sellaronda can get crowded, impacting the flow on some sections. Overall, it's a must-visit for winter sports enthusiasts seeking a memorable alpine adventure.

Rifugio Friedrich August is a charming mountain lodge offering a cozy atmosphere and stunning views of Val di Fassa. Guests can also enjoy the inviting sun terrace with deck seating. Additionally, the lodge features unique architecture and a beautifully landscaped garden with different levels, creating an exceptional ambiance.
Restaurant review: Definitely +5 ⭐️ they serve dinner only Wednesday and Saturday (better to book in advance but they ask deposit). Dinner starts at 19:00 (the only available time). I recommend to arrive a bit before to enjoy the view (there is spacious parking). Menu of the restaurant is quite varied, but mainly meat dishes. Tartar 24€, risotto with boletus mushrooms and meat 21€. Service is attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is cozy ❤️

Freaking amazing views and food. Steak was amazing as were the donuts. Spent a chilly afternoon on the patio and did not regret it. Stay was with a shared bathroom but the rooms were still wonderful. Right on the Yak viewing path as they barrel down the mountain later in the day.

This place is famous for its donuts, but it offers so much more. We came for the view and the food, and it was the perfect spot to relax. The atmosphere is calm, the staff are welcoming, and we even saw lots of animals while we were there, which made it extra special. A really memorable stop. Definitely worth visiting!
Naomi G — Google review
Hiked up the mountain to see what it looked like in summer, having been here many winters. Wow! It's been totally refurbished and taken up-market to become a spectacular restaurant and hotel. Lovely food, great service and very smart. The only complaint would be that it's lost it's old rustic charm.... but I guess it's progress.

Quite an experience. I highly recommend stoping here. Elegant interior. Very polite staff. Delicious food. We slept here one night during our 6days hiking trip in Dolomites and everything was perfect. The rooms are small but enough and very clean. You wont find one of those rooms with 10-12 people inside. The shower is free and you have hot water all day long. You definitely must stay and enjoy the view of mountains and the service. Thank you for everything!

The food was very good and generous. The room was very nice and modern, no much space but comfortable. The views were amazing (room and terrace). The only downside was that the mattress and pillows were very hard for our liking. They were very welcome of our dog, who was also allowed everywhere in the hut.

It is one of the most iconic testimonies of traditional Ladin architecture, enriched by unique elements that make it a true jewel for those visiting the country. Casa La Floriana dates back to a historical period in which local homes were built mainly in wood and stone, reflecting the construction style of the Dolomites. The facade is decorated with paintings that narrate scenes of daily life and religious symbols, made with bright colors that have resisted the passage of time. The name "Floriana" recalls San Floriano, patron saint of Canazei, underlining the strong link between the building and local tradition. The house retains a combination of stone and wood, traditional materials used to ensure thermal insulation and resistance to the harsh winters of the Dolomites. In addition to the frescoes, you can observe windows with sculpted frames and details that reflect the craftsmanship of the place. The Pordoi Pass is home to a famous monument dedicated to Fausto Coppi, one of the legends of Italian and world cycling. This tribute to Coppi is not only a celebration of his extraordinary athletic abilities, but also a symbol of the importance of the Giro d’Italia and cycling in the Dolomites. The monument is situated in a panoramic position that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, a place that seems almost to elevate Coppi’s memory to the level of his exploits. The statue depicts the cycling hero on his bicycle, in a pose that evokes the strength, determination, and solitude of the long-distance racer. It is an iconic representation that captures the essence of mountain cycling : pushing beyond one’s limits in the face of imposing natural challenges. Fausto Coppi, nicknamed "The Heron" because of his elegant style and extraordinary ability to outmaneuver his opponents with apparent ease, is famous for his epic battles on the roads of the Dolomites and for winning the Giro d'Italia five times during his career Coppi, adored the Pordoi once said : "I was the first over the summit there five times, maybe because whenever I was in that area I could breathe beautifully". And there is certainly something about the incredible freshness of the high mountain air here ! His exploits on the Pordoi Pass, in particular, have become legendary in cycling history and have made it an iconic location for cycling competitions and Italian sporting culture. Though it is dedicated to the "Campionissimo", every time our thoughts inevitably also turn to the great Gino Bartali ...

(Translated by Google) The Fausto Coppi Monument at Passo Pordoi is one of the symbolic places of cycling and a timeless tribute to the "Campionissimo", one of the most iconic figures in the history of this sport. Located at 2,239 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Dolomites, this monument celebrates not only the legendary athlete, but also the epic charm of the mountains which have seen some of cycling's most memorable pages written. The monument is located in a spectacular panoramic point, along the famous road that connects Arabba to Canazei. Inaugurated in 2000, it consists of a bronze statue depicting Fausto Coppi riding his bicycle, caught in a heroic pose while tackling the climbs that made him so famous. The work was created by the sculptor Mario Stuflesser, who was able to capture not only Coppi's physicality, but also the spirit of determination and sacrifice that he has always embodied. On the base of the monument there are inscriptions that recall the champion's exploits and charisma. The Pordoi Pass, one of the most famous passes in the Dolomites, is closely linked to the history of cycling, having often been the scene of decisive stages of the Giro d'Italia. Fausto Coppi, in particular, triumphed on these roads during his career, consolidating the myth of his climbing strength and his ability to dominate the mountains like few others. The monument is therefore not only a tribute to him, but a symbol of the entire cycling world. Visiting the Pordoi Pass and the monument is an exciting experience not only for cycling enthusiasts, but for anyone who loves mountains and nature. The Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offer breathtaking scenery, with their jagged peaks silhouetted against the sky and landscapes that change color with the daylight. For enthusiasts, the climb to Passo Pordoi is a legendary challenge, with its hairpin bends and the view that repays every effort. The best time to visit is late spring or summer, when the snow gives way to flowery meadows and the pass becomes a destination for cyclists and tourists from all over the world 🚴‍♂️🌺. However, even in autumn the landscape takes on a particular charm, with the warm colors of the season. If you are in the area, don't miss the typical traditional Trentino dishes, such as dumplings or polenta with mushrooms and local cheeses, for a perfect combination of sport and flavours! 🧀🍷 The Monument to Fausto Coppi at Passo Pordoi is not just a stage, but a true celebration of the human spirit, the passion for sport and the love for the mountains. 🌟

I sat in the car resting after the long drive on the empty museum parking with the door open. I came from far away to see the museum. There was no sign that read private or parking forbidden. When I got out of the car I was aggressively yelled at by a man from the museum and told to leave immediately. He said the parking was private and I could not visit the museum even though it was officially open. I was angrily accused of being a German and misbehaving although I was not told beforehand why. I would not recommend visiting this place if you are a German woman and alone. Bring a strong aggressive man with you. This man working at the place is not capable of communicating without yelling at you if you accidentally do something wrong you are not aware of. There are no signs telling you what you can do. This man is either racist or has a aggression problem. He should not be working in a public space. The museum itself is amazing! It was still worth being yelled at. I came back later avoiding the aggressive man.

The ticket price is negligible, only €6, and I can assure you that for what you see, it's definitely not much. The museum is small but very well laid out. It's full of artifacts found over the years on the Marmolada glacier, which is still yielding many today, as it melts. It gives a vague idea of what the kids of '99 must have gone through in that period and makes you think. It's highly recommended.

Gondola lift station
Funivia Campitello - Col Rodella is one of the largest cable cars in the area, with a capacity of up to 150 people and a speed of more than 10 m/sec. It ascends from roughly 1400 meters in Campitello to 2400 meters at Col Rodella, providing a breathtaking view of Val di Fassa, Sassolungo, and Sass Pordoi. The spacious and quiet cabins offer a comfortable ride.
One of the biggest cable car in the area, up to 150 people, quite fast (more than 10 m/sec). You get to 2400 meters from 1400 roughly in Campitello hence a 1000 m difference, so expect different weather conditions up there from what you have in the valley, especially if a cold front is passing and sky is cloudy or partly cloudy, you can expect lower temperature and greater temperature drop with altitude compared to a high pressure and sunny situation, as was our case. We got up end July and it was likely 8 deg with wind, do you own math for wind chill but the qualitative result was people and "Sunday hikers" with t shirts and light jackets going down immediately (we did the same by the way! Though we had heavy clothes but did not feel like was a good day for hiking). But on a sunny day it's a stunning view of the Dolomites with the Sassolungo, Sella group, Marmolada.

Calin D — Google review
Very long queues during ski season, waiting time - 1 hour. People are nervous. Italian lady overtook and pushed me in the queue and when I was trying to talk to her said - “Italian only”. Managers should not sell that amount of tickets if the funicular can’t handle it.

I want to share a tragic incident and injury I received when exiting the gondola in Campitello. It was 17.03.2025 at about 17:00, when exiting the gondola, the funicular worker closed the door right when I was exiting. I had 2 children with me and that's why it took us time to exit. The funicular worker simply pushed me with 2 small children out of the gondola by force, thereby causing an injury to my leg.

Starting from Alba di Canazei, the D-Line ski lift takes you to Ciampac where you can admire the magnificent landscape of Val di Fassa and Fiemme, including the Sella and Catinaccio groups all the way to the Marmolada.
An Unforgettable Experience! The Sellaronda skitour is absolutely spectacular. A unique ski circuit that takes you through four stunning valleys (Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Val di Fassa, and Arabba) in a single day. The slopes are impeccably groomed, and the breathtaking views of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are truly one of a kind. The tour can be done in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, each offering a different experience in terms of scenery and technical challenges. The signage along the route is excellent, making it easy to navigate even for first-timers. A special mention goes to the mountain huts along the way—perfect stops to enjoy delicious local dishes and recharge your energy. I highly recommend starting early in the morning to ensure you complete the tour before the lifts close, and if possible, pick a sunny day to fully enjoy the spectacular landscapes. The Funivia Sass Pordoi - Stazione a Valle is an incredible cable car experience that transports you to breathtaking heights, offering some of the most stunning views you'll ever encounter. As you ascend, take your time to soak in the scenery rather than rushing through for quick photos. The ride lasts just about four minutes and operates every 15 minutes, making it easy to fit into your day.
28€ for a return trip but totally worth it. Cable car is very fast, takes less than 2 min to get you to the top. Watch out that it works till 5pm

Riding the cable car up to Sasso Pordoi feels like entering another world — vast, rocky, and surreal. The views are out of this world!

A must for the dolomites area. If you have to pick a single cable car, pick this one, it's great and different to what you see around. 30E per person at this point but still worth it

Beautiful in the winter too! Would recommend this as a pit stop while driving by the pass. If skiing, the connection to the slopes is far—a few mins walking at least. The cablecar was included in my Dolomiti Superski pass. There’s a restaurant at the top along with several photo points. A great place to soak in the beauty of the Dolomites.

Great cable car for those who want to visit piz boe! Can be used for saving the descent from the mountain (or for the strange ones, saving the climbing and do only the descent)

Terrazza delle Dolomiti is undoubtedly one of the most stunning viewpoints in the region, offering an unforgettable experience for visitors. While weather conditions can sometimes delay your journey—like waiting 30 minutes due to strong winds—the breathtaking views make it all worthwhile.
Amazing experience, the cable car takes you from 2.300m to 2.950m in 3 minutes. The view is incredible and there is also a cafe and restaurant if you want to indulge at high altitude. Well worth the 26€ return ticket.

We arrived here by a coach and because tickets were pre booked and it was near lunch there was no queues that we experienced. You will quickly ascend in a matter of a few minutes. I am not good with heights normally but it was quite relaxing going up. The views are stunning on the way up and at the top. We spent about an hour up there or so. Though people planning on really walking around may want more time. I personally wore a t-shirt, being from England even when we came in here in June it was actually quite nice and cool but not uncomfortable. Would come here again.
Random U — Google review
It's definitely one of the most amazing viewpoints in the area. In case of bad weather and strong winds, you must be prepared to wait for some time (I waited for about 30 minutes) or even bail out from the cable car altogether. In my case, being patient paid off because the cable car resumed working despite the strong gusts of wind (80 km/h). The terrace itself is a great place to start a trip to Piz Boe.
Michał K — Google review
If you already seeen a lot of Dolomites and think about if it's worth going up or you just dont know which cabin to take if you have only 1 to pick, go for this one. Breath taking view all arround, different to what you've seen from down there. Worth the 30E round trip with cabin for sure

The most breathtaking place I think we've ever been. It's as good as all the reviews say. Better even. It's around €27 return on the cable car for an adult ticket. Worth it many times over. You're standing on what used to be a tropical coral atoll. Now 2950m above sea level. The views around you are millions of years old. It just blows you away.

Mountain peak

Piz Boè, the highest mountain in the Sella Group of the Dolomites in Italy, offers a relatively easy hiking trail with breathtaking panoramic views at its peak. With an elevation of 3,152 meters (10,341 feet), it is considered one of the easiest summits over 3,000 meters in the region. The 5.3 km (3.3 miles) trail provides hikers with stunning 360-degree views of the Dolomites.
Piz Boe offers a fantastic trekking experience 🏔 I climbed it in August during a weather breakdown 🌡, after an intensive snowfall ❄️ that lasted a full day. We started our trekking from Terrazza delle Dolomiti ⭐️, a wonderful viewpoint accessible via cable car 🚡 from Passo Pordoi, even in strong gusts of wind. From the top station, it takes about 30 minutes to get to the Rifugio Forcella Pordoi 🏠, where one can bolster their forces with a cup of very aromatic coffee ☕️ or something to eat. Continuing from the Rifugio, it should take you at most 1,5 hours 🕜 to reach the top of Piz Boe 🚩. The trail isn't always visible under the snow, so I recommend using a sport watch ⌚️ or a map on your phone 📱 for navigation. At some places, one can sink into the snow up to their waist! Choose your path carefully 👣. The climb to the top is quite easy 👌. There are even some metal chains for extra security, but they are also doing well as trail marks 👍 The whole round-trip should take around 3,5 hours (2 hours up, 1,5 down) in winter conditions 🌨. We made stops in Rifugio Forcella and at the top of Piz Boe, which added an extra hour ⏳️ to the trip. We managed to get to the cable car around 16:30, which was perfect. It's absolutely doable if you start at midday 💪
Michał K — Google review
We took a cable car to the top. It was mid of June and still some snow. We did hike a bit but we didn’t do the hike as we planned because the snow was slippery. Walking poles would help in this conditions.

Good news is that the place is marvelous, bad news is that this pictures and videos won’t show how majestic they really are, you will have to come here yes or yes to experience this gates to heaven.

Easy hike. If you are able-bodied it should be no problem to climb this mountain, especially when you will ride 2ith cable car to sass pordoi. I highly redomend to make a round trip via rifiugio boe. But hike from rifiugo boe is harder. There is a place with high exposure.
Tomasz L — Google review
We took the trail 638 to the top. Some parts were quite tough, you need to climb up a very steep wall. You should be an experienced hiker. When you reach the top, you will meet hundreds of people who walked the easiest way, which is just around 200m up after using a lift. 🚡 It’s very crowded on the top. There are families, dogs and many bambini. So the trails to the nearby hut are very overcrowded. It gets better when you leave this area.
A. S — Google review
Humbled and privileged to be on the peak alone. Magnificent views. Technically not demanding except last part and if there is some snow. Go early in the morning.

(Translated by Google) It is one of the peaks of the Marmolada group. It is approximately 3200 meters high. It is not a hiking peak, to climb it requires facing, after a grumpy stretch on unstable scree, difficult sections of grade 3 climbing. Furthermore, in this period, it is not even easily approachable, since the shortest route that leads to the base to be climbed passes through Pian dei Fiacconi, where unfortunately the terrible misfortune occurred caused by the enormous avalanche of snow that broke off from the Marmolada Glacier and the area is off limits.

The Sentiero delle Marmotte is a delightful trail that you might stumble upon unexpectedly, leading to the stunning Schiavaneis waterfalls. This picturesque path offers a leisurely 15-minute walk from the nearby parking area, which has limited spaces. While the route is accessible for families and children, it's best to leave strollers behind due to its natural terrain. As you venture further along the trail, you'll find yourself near a rocky ridge where charming marmots can sometimes be spotted.
(Translated by Google) Path discovered by chance, which leads to beautiful waterfalls (Schiavaneis) with a short walk of about 15 minutes. There is a car park with around a dozen spaces and the route is suitable for everyone, although I advise against strollers. Unfortunately I didn't have the pleasure of meeting the marmots, but it was still worth it. And I want to tell everyone who wants to feed the marmots at the marmot trail, IT IS FORBIDDEN TO FEED FOOD TO WILD ANIMALS, AS THEY CAN DIE FROM THE FOOD! And if you really want to go, visit the Schiaveneis waterfall instead, which would be 4 stars if not for all the people there. As for the route of the path you have to cross a small stream by jumping between stones with a high possibility of getting wet.
