Just adding to the pile of good reviews because the HYPE. IS. REAL. When you walk in and have no idea what's going on and everyone is doing things you know you've stumbled across something truly local and unique. And does it deliver. Just absolutely anything you get here is just good. It's some black magic dust but it's true. The highlight was the cream puffs, which isn't overly sweet allowing all the subtle flavours to come through. Surprisingly the croissant sandwich I had to double back to notice it was baked with cheese. So much subtle flavour. Well worth weathering the storm to get to. Despite being a bit out of the way

The chantilly cream puff is amazing: light cream inside with soft but crisp outside. Personally, I didn’t like the sugar on top because it felt a bit too sweet. I also had the chocolate roll. It was definitely super rich with chocolate but I think a bit too sweet.

Def lives put to the hype! If you like your pastries not too sweet, get the pistachio cream puff. One of my fav desserts/pastries I’ve had in Italy so far! Espresso was great. Also had a ham croissant that I’d probably pass on tho (a little too salty).

Its interesting as its all people stand up and eat their food. There is no space for sitting. But food is delicious. The best Tiramisu and croasant with pistachio we ever had😍 to all I recommending visit this place

Perhaps there is a better pasticceria in Venice, but I haven't found it. This is a traditional pasticceria: you stand to drink your coffee and eat your pastry on the counter top. When I win the lottery, I'll go to Venice for a month, and work my way through the entire beautiful display, enjoying the theatre of it, and admiring the skills of the inestimable ladies serving.

Great central location and neat, comfortable rooms. The air conditioning is centrally controlled so the fan can be noisy and you can't do anything. The rooms are pretty compact although you still get a good sized shower. There's an attempt to still give you a breakfast of sorts but it's not really worth it to be honest. The historic cafe next door is a great experience, delicious pastry and coffee to start a day of exploring Venice and you get a little discount for staying at the hotel.

We stopped for a coffee and air-conditioned space :). Lovely restaurant with a large selection of sweet and savory snacks. In the late morning, we had coffee and cake but came back for pasta 😋 with fish and aperol spritz. Good food at a very reasonable price, quick service, and lovely space to catch your breath while visiting San Marco.

The people behind the cafe were so rude, I do not understand italian n had problem understanding. We made 2 orders instead of combining them. This did not make them happy. There r lots of other places with good food nearby

At the pasticceria, part of our order was an apricot and a pistachio croissant. Each of these croissants had only a dab on top and no filling... first place that ever did this as all the other places had filling. Second, the croissants were not as fluffy as they should have been. Lastly, we paid with a 100€ bill and the cashier put the bill under the drawer where it appears they keep the big bills. She then pulls out change for a 50; we point out that we gave a 100 and she makes a remark that we're not patient since she still had to take a 50€ bill from under the drawer for our change. The point here is that she could have taken the 50€ bill when she put the 100€ bill there, so it appears that she was trying to pull a fast one.

Great food and coffee but service was horrible. We ordered a croissant 3 times and did not get it. From a hygiene perspective also quite difficult: There were pigeons IN cafeteria.

Extremely rude service. After we paid the young server said we were not allowed to sit and occupy the table after we finished eating unless we bought something else. The restaurant was not even close to full , if it was I’d understand. Not worth coming. 7:30 25th July

Nothing taste good, was recommended the fig but tastes nothing special. The round one with the cream tastes like cream gone off 🥹 the server was very nice though.

My favourite arrival celebration, when I get off the train at St. Lucia. A fantastic array of beautiful baked goods and also a nice collection of savouries, very good coffee and extremely friendly service. I’ve been coming here for eons and always look forward to coming back.

We got an Americano which tasted fine but the shop was too crowded and there was not really a clear sign for where does the line starts. A large Americano costs 4.5 Euro which I think it is normal given the price points in Venice

So crowded, but have amazing food. You should try chocolate and pistacchio croissant, and definitely the hot chocolate. Recommend it!

Best croissant in Venice! Had an espresso and a chocolate croissant at Pasticceria Dal Mas — absolutely amazing! The croissant was warm, flaky, and filled with rich chocolate, and the espresso was perfectly balanced and smooth. The place has a real local vibe, busy but friendly, and everything looked delicious. Definitely a must-stop in Venice for coffee and pastry lovers!

What a great place to have a quick, yet AWESOME bite! It was our last minute choice before heading to the airport, and we are so glad we picked thar place. The ladies at the café are very efficient and quick. Some people take it as "rudeness," but it's just a grab and go (or stand and eat) place. So, they are just trying to give fast service. Anyways, highly recommended.

This was one of our first stops for coffee and a biscuit/pastry on our trip to Italy. I got a flaky warm crostini pastry that had a custard inside, a plain croissant and some other biscuits. It was all very tasty and went down well with a cappuccino. It was so good, we came back the next day! The place is busy but the service is fast and friendly. Highly recommended if you’re ever in Venice!

Delicious pastries and almost all without seed oils. The only pastries that had seed oils were the fried ones; however, there was just one type on the counter. The rest of them were clean, and the ones we tried were delicious.

Outstanding baked goods and really great coffee. The place is tiny, and it's constantly packed - locals come in, grab a couple things, drink a fast coffee, and they leave. I think we were the only ones staying there for a bit in the bar, and that wasn't even 20 minutes! So, this is not a place to sit down, but if you want a fantastic baked good and coffee, this is definitely a place to try. My advice - get their strudel, it is simply out of this world. Fantastic quality, fair prices, and really nice staff.

A place I love to visit. First of all, their baked goods are absolutely fantastic. Not only do they taste great, but they are also well made and look really beautiful. Everything I tried was excellent. The service is also top-notch. I am always welcomed and served with a smile. The people are very knowledgeable and helpful, and are always willing to advise on the choice of sweets. On top of that, the cleanliness and aesthetics of the pastry shop make you want to come back there. AMAZING COFFEE !!!

I am sorry to give only one star but they use to make this amazing caramel, almonds and other sweet ingredients but today I got 500gr and I did not see that the caramel was all burned and when I got home and tried I realized the taste was mainly burned! So upsetting

Make sure to join the right queue ‘coz the service can be slow. Need to first order and then pay before leaving. Still dreaming about the pistachio croissant I had here. It was just the right amount of flaky and the filling was delicious. Don’t miss out!

Simply amazing. If you are in Venice, this is the only place to get quality coffee. Our family made it a point to make it here every day while we visited. The quality of the espresso and pastries is simply unmatched. For drip, you can even pick your beans, bring it to the counter and they’ll make it for you. Pastries are fresh and when they run out, they’re gone for the day so best to get there earlier if you want to try them all. Brother got a mango smoothie and loved that as well. Friendly staff that help guide everyone through the process of ordering and then paying after you are finished. Helps make you slow down and enjoy— I loved it. The line is nonstop so I think everyone else does as well :) I love everything about Venice but would actually come back just for this coffee shop alone. 20/10 recommendation.

One of the best coffee shops I ever visited. They have great variety of different kinds of coffee beans. I tried everyone and everyone is awesome! Taste is so full of flavour. The beans are amazing quality and they are roasted perfectly. If you are coffee lover you must go here. You can also buy some beans to have this perfect coffee at home. Extremely recommended.

I’ve visited 6 coffee shops in Venice. I’m not sure to rank this top or bottom. It’s complicated and personal. I like flat whites - a rare species in this town. According to smiley barista, only here and ….Starbucks (! Ergh) make them. Great start. Lots of attention to the coffee, these guys really seem to care. But - and I’m so sad there’s a but! - the milk was, IMO, awful! The first cup I abandoned after a couple of sips as it tasted like UHT (although the carton suggested otherwise, so maybe semi-skimmed?). But I really wanted it to work - friendly people, lovely spot - so I ordered my usual, an oat flat white. I checked the carton and was a little nervous as it wasn’t a Barista version….but hey, surely it’ll be ok? This was almost undrinkable for me. I took one sip and abandoned. Thin, oversweet, horrible. I’d have been better off at Starbucks. :( I realise (1) I’m in the spiritual home country of the drink I love, so I should tread lightly (2) this was easily the cafe with most potential we visited and (3) coffee is a VERY personal thing - my undrinkable is another persons unbeatable. But for me, this place has it all, except for the milk. Oh well.

We have been here twice and I have a hard time reading it because the food and coffee is good. The style of the place is decorated to be very cute and cozy, but unfortunately, both times we have been it seems like the customer race is a little pushy and rude before they ordered and just overall made the space a little uncomfortable. The reception was a little more welcoming. I think it would be a five star, but the feelings of this place is just off. Pricing of items varies based on if it’s takeaway, eating standing at a counter or sitting down to eat. This can be hard to tell so be aware if you care. So far the cappuccinos I have had here were good and they have the best cereali and wheat croissants I’ve ever had. I definitely recommend this place. I just wish that the vibes there were more friendly.

This was a cute coffee place. The coffee was good, freshly brewed. The two flavors we took were average. The red velvet muffin was very soft and well done. The joint was cute and attracted a lot of crowd. The decor was quite unique and attractive.

Tourists, beware! This place charges more for tourists and prices aren’t displayed anywhere. You get cheaper prices for locals and massively inflated prices for tourists. I paid €15 for a pizza cupcake, two cannoli, an almond croissant and a drink. Not a single item was worth it. The pizza cupcake was downright terrible: dry, undercooked dough, bitter tomato purée and a small piece of melted mozzarella. It tasted like something that should’ve been left in the freezer aisle. The almond croissant was dry and the cannoli had gone soft, no crisp shell, just limp very sad pastries. A total tourist trap. Save your money and your appetite

I’ve only been here to this wonderful establishment to eat the very delicious pastries, but for those I can only say these are the yummiest pastries in town! We got a take out of a dozen and they were all delicious. My personal favorite is one that looks like a cream puff but has a lite whipped cream texture filling and a hint of maybe orange, but just enough to make it taste amazing. We went back several times over our two week stay in Venice and I think our group thought it was all good and tasty.

Unless you speak Italian, DO NOT COME HERE- you will be scammed. I’ve been to many honest and wonderful local pastries while in Venice where I’ve had coffee at the counter. I came here on my last day because it was closest to my hotel and was charged absurd costs. 6 euros for a small orange juice and 4.50 euros for a latte?!? Having a latte at the counter at similar pastries has cost me 2euros max. I also Had a dry mini croissant for 2e which was terrible. None of it was worth it. Dishonest and awful discriminatory service. Stay away.

Glad I stumbled upon this darling, traditional and delicious pastry shop this week in Venice! What a delight- after a long day of walking we needed some coffee and sweets. Highly recommend the merengue / pavlova & RUM SOAKED PASTRIES. Dear lord, fill me up with this devilishly good treat- I want to sin! These little odd shaped pastries are to die for. The cafe is pretty much standing room; so be prepared to eat your bites at the counter; don’t fret, there is AC. We had nice service and we loved the treats we bought. I will repeat; ask for the rum soaked pastries.

There's a special joy that one can experience when entering pasticceria Nobile. The counter is filled with pastries that look like they are just waiting to be eaten. But more importantly, there are trays & trays of freshly baked mini "pizza de pan", a mini pizza margherita or marinara (margherita with anchovies) that they serve warm. Perfect for a quick savory bite. If you are visiting Venice for the first time you can't miss as it's on the main way to Rialto's bridge & S. Marco's square.

Really nice bakery, worth a trot. Happened upon this shop after eating across the street. I forget the names of the three items we purchased but all were delicious and cheaper than they could get away with. They have a donut-shaped regional pastry that was really great and happened to be vegan. My very selective vegan partner loved it. We wish we bought more of that and would welcome another vegan item or two.

Wonderful pasticceria in Dorsoduro - lovely coffee and pastries as well as homemade jams etc. Very friendly. The fritelli with zabaglione we had during the carnevale were the best things we ate in Venice during our trip.

Smaller pastry shop with less diverse of a selection as the other shops. However, they make up for this with their dedication to quality. They are family owned and operated. It's not as busy as tonolo but it is a bit better in my opinion. Definitely worth paying a visit if you're looking for authentic venetian pastries.

According to my daughter, the second best cookie she’s ever had. The cappuccino was also some of the best coffee we have had in Venice or in recent memory, and we are big coffee fans.

This place is a Venetian institution. This cozy shop with traditional Venetian sweets will melt your heart and taste buds! Their “Fugassa” seems expensive but it is so worth it. Sweet, a bit tangy and full of flavor! I also recommended Baicoli which are very simple and humble cookies. To be honest, if you tried baicoli from supermarket, you might say Baicoli are not so good. However, their Baicoli here are out of this world! They melt like Italian cookie clouds! So good! A Must visit!

Super friendly locals hang out. One of the last 3 bakeries in Venice that are over 100 years old. I find the negative reviews confusing. We went here 4 days in a row and always had warm friendly service and a little chat. The Fritella (traditional Venetian festivale pastry) were delicious. I tried a different flavour everyday and did try them elsewhere too but these were the best.

We ordered the last tiramisu and a strawberry cream filled dessert and both were fantastic. We also ordered 2 bottles of water and our total was $9. For house made desserts this was a steal in my opinion. I’m not sure what others are talking about in terms of tourist being charged more…My husband and I are both from Tennessee (united states) it is clear to everyone we are tourists and we were treated kindness & service appropriate for the culture!

Can only review from my experience. I came in the store looked around as the couple ahead of me ordered and paid. I waited right behind them as i knew what i wanted quickly, then another couple came and were immediately greeted. Which i found strange considering i still hadn't been acknowledged, yet alone spoken to. The guy who worked here finished up the couple ahead of me and then the lady who came in after me, walked beside me and immediately started her order. He grabbed her pastry and in shock, i said excuse me I was here first I was trying to order and he just stared at me as the lady said something. No apology no acknowledgement so I just said its OK and left. I do not recommend, but i have not tried anything so cannot speak to the quality. I will say as an African American I recommend trying another spot just to be safe. Don't waste the walk to come here .

What an incredible bakery in Venice! I planned an elopement in the middle of summer in Dolomiti, and everyone at the bakery made sure to make a cake that was not only vegan-friendly without any eggs or cream, but that is tasted delicious and still held up in the heat of Venice in August. My husband and I weren't picky with the flavor, but it was incredible and impressed my parents and friends that tasted it as well. Not only was the cake amazing, but the service was also hands down great! They went out of their way to meet us in Venice with the cake since timing was a big factor in getting to Dolomiti. Grazie mille!!

We loved this place! The best fritelle we ever tried. There was a variety of different fillings. We tried one with pistachio and the other with cream. Absolutely delicious! Also, they were 1,5€ each. Totally recommend this place!

I have visited Venice many times but recently discovered this bakery (I think this is the correct location - I retraced on google maps and see that the pictures are similar). One of the most delicious pistachio croissants that I’ve had (and I get them whenever they are available because they aren’t as easy to come by!). Also the lady that helped us was very very kind!! I used to live in Italy and the kindness to tourists/foreigners can be very much hit or miss, but they were very kind and patient with us as we deliberated what to order. Don’t miss this place - it’s easy to get to as well!

This is our first bakery to try in Italy so I have no comparison. But the Kraft is very good...soft bread with cream filling. The Ponini Cholcolat is like a dinner roll with chocolate chips. The bakery has a smaller window display from the street unlike other bakeries we passed by.

We paid 4,90€ for one of them!!! For two therefore almost 10€!!! For this seems to be a price for tourists, normally this should be sold for 2 or max. 3€. But at least it was delicious and fresh.

SuSo is one of Venice’s finest gelaterie, known for seasonal flavours and creative flair. I skipped sorbet in favour of ice cream, choosing my benchmarks of Madagascan vanilla and Piedmontese hazelnut – both superb, creamy, and true to origin. For the third scoop I asked for a recommendation, and without hesitation the server said: “Manet – it’s rated #1 by the New York Times.” It lived up to the billing: gianduja chocolate-hazelnut beneath a luscious layer of salted pistachio, indulgent yet balanced (10/10). Paired with the classics, it made for a revelatory trio. SuSo deserves its reputation – a must for gelato lovers in Venice.

We had the chance to try the viral ice creams at SUSO, and they did not disappoint! They offer an enormous variety of flavors, and it’s really hard to decide because you want to try everything. Luckily, the friendly staff behind the counter are very helpful and offer small samples, which makes choosing much easier. This is definitely a must-try during your stay in Venice! But… be prepared to wait — the lines are almost always long.

I was so excited to try Suso, and the flavors did not disappoint! They have a huge, inventive selection. I tried the Manet (a rich chocolate-hazelnut gelato topped with a salty-sweet pistachio cream) and the Suso (an amazing double caramel that tasted like a classic liquid toffee). Both were incredibly flavorful and tasted very high-quality. I loved the signature "SUSO" cookie they add on top. My only suggestion for improvement is related to the temperature. The gelato was served very soft and was already melting the moment I received it. It seemed like it hadn't finished cooling completely, which might have been because of how busy it was. Despite this, the taste was excellent and I'd still recommend it for the unique flavors.

Totally overrated Gelateria - Gelati are heavy on sugar and light on taste as they seem to use little fresh high quality ingredients. They go for the „oh“-effect with creative names and colors since they cater to the daytrip-visitors who flock this area close to the Rialto-Bridge. Sure it’s better than most other competitors in this area but if you look for truly delicious ice cream try the Penguino in Castello.

The line can be a little bit long. But it only took us 5 minutes to get inside the ice cream store. They offered a variety of options for flavor. They all look good and taste good. I would recommend this gelato store to those who is planning a trip to Venice.

Saw a lot of tik toks about this place and thought I would give it a try. I got it twice during my time in Venice and it totally lives up to its expectation! I got the dark chocolate and white chocolate pistachio and both were equally delicious and paired together nicely. A little more on the pricey side compared to other gelato places, but not too bad.

The ice creams are amazing. We tried Bianco and Mimosa, and both were really good. Very creamy and full of flavor. Definitely worth trying!

Around S Marcos square you have to pay even €10-€14. Instead walk a little bit and come for a proper Italian pasticceria. Difficult to believe: one caffe and one delicious pasta for £3.4! Absolutely great!

This is a small but busy cake shop filled with beautiful desserts. They also sell whole cream cakes, as well as coffee and other drinks. I chose two of the small desserts and a hot chocolate, and everything was delicious. I will definitely come back next time!

The best Italian hot chocolate I’ve ever had and some amazing pastries. Two drinks and a couple pastries were around 10eu. Great for an on the go breakfast. Staff were very friendly there are benches in the windows to eat indoors but it was quite a busy place on a Sunday morning. Venue was clean. Definitely worth a visit for a quick drink and pastry would go back

When we saw those huge apricot pies in the window, there was no going back. We were already amazed by the ricotta and spinach pie height (more than an inch, double of what we saw until then), but those apricot pie.. it’s more than enough for 4, but 2 can share if you are heavy eaters (there is also apple pies). Everything was great. You get the option of getting things heated to eat there or having it cold and packed to go. The lady was so sweet, helping us in english through it all. Overall, the service was perfect, the food was fairly priced and delicious.

My husband and I had some pizza here (May 2025) for a quick bite after our morning walk around Venice. We had their sausage and artichoke pizza. This place sells by the weight. It was so good!! Lots of good choices. Limited seating, just 4-5 bar seats.

Excellent pizza at a reasonable price and in a cute corner store near a bridge. We stopped in for a quick a quick lunch after exploring Venice. There are a few bar seats against the wall or take-away.

The pizza slices of different fillings are beautifully arrayed behind a glass window. We bought a slice each, walked over the bridge and had a peaceful meal behind the Santa Maria church.

Depends on pizza, the one with aubergine was very tasty and the one with potatoes very dry. 1,70 euro for 100g, good price. Good that they are warming up the pizza but also because of this it's getting more dry. Service is nice.

Looking at the shop I was immediately drawn by the beautifully displayed pastries. I was delighted to eat the crispy, fresh desserts and would have eaten even more ! I did not want to share. This is my new favorite pastry place in Venice!

Ordered some of the gelato and cookies, it was good. The gelato is a bit cheaper than the famous gelato in that area.

Coffee: 4/5 I had better coffee in Venice. Cappuccino was okay. Staff: 5/5 Friendly Food: 5/5 I had a Croissant with pistachio and it was amazing but the small cake were amazing. They were so good!! 😋 I can highly recommend this place.

Very nice pastries and good coffee at a reasonable price

What a wonderful place to drink your coffee in the morning! First of all, I really liked this place because it had a wide variety of cakes and pastry products that you could choose from. They were very nicely arranged as well. I had a really big cafe latte which impressed me because in many places the coffee is not as big. I also had a ricotta and pistacchio cannoli, which was really rich in flavour and very consistent. You cannot really sit here because there are only counters where you can serve your products, but no chairs. Me and my friends served our coffee and pastry products near the windows and it was funny that people who were passing on that street were looking at us while we were eating. The staff was really friendly to us. The coffee took a while to be prepared but there was only one person taking care of coffee and the shop was really crowded at that time. Overall, I recommend this place. It it perfect for a breakfast or a snack on the go.

Their pistachio croissant is simply the best. Most of the pastries are delicious. Espresso is on point. The price is surprisingly cheap. This is a one not to be missed breakfast spot if you are in Venice. Absolutely dreamy. They play some 90's song to add to the happening vibe inside the place.

Pasticceria Bonifacio sits tucked behind the Ducal Palace, the kind of place gondoliers slip into for value and locals trust for quality. By day it turns out alcohol-laced cakes, buttery cornetti and rich fruit breads; by night, anchovy-topped tartlets and spritzes. I asked the lady behind the counter to choose me a half-dozen of their best – a midnight box of pasticcini: crostata di riso, torta della nonna, tiramisù, torta al cioccolato, ricotta slice, and a bigné. Each carried that balance of tradition and indulgence that makes Venetian baking so satisfying. A proper neighbourhood spot, just steps from San Marco yet worlds away.

Wonderful locally owned pastry shop! One of our guides shared this place with us and we went multiple times. Decadent pastries! Much better and less expensive than the places on the square. Highly recommend this lovely place!

The pastries were delicious. We tried almond, chocolate, and one that tasted like pecan pie. We were told later by a local that this is one of the best bakeries in the area.

Great little bakery found on the side streets behind the San Marco Basilica. They have a selection of sandwiches if your are craving savory and a plethora of sweets to choose from. We got our basic cappuccinos, a small sandwich to share, and three sweets to pair with our coffees. I recommend this place for a starter snack before you explore the canals and islands of Venice.

Coffee and cannoli were great. We had a chocolate biscuit as well which was just ok. The staff weren't overly welcoming. No seating. Good for a quick stop and coffee fix.

A cafe in one of the oldest buildings on the island that's part garden too? I'm intrigued. It's a very charming space with many opportunities for photos. The space is the highlight and main reason to check it out. As mentioned in other reviews, the food and coffee are decent/ok, and the service is not up to caliber. Though still worth going at least once.

--Atmosphere-- The atmosphere is great. The caffé is in a really lovely and gorgeous garden with an old but gold building. The whole building gives a vintage and cozy house feeling. You should definitely visit here if you have the time. --Service-- Service was good and I liked it but I give 3 stars instead of 4 because they don't allow you to split the bill equally. Surely it is their choice if we are allowed to split the bill equally among customers. However it is my choice to deduct points from this lack of choice regarding the payment process. Other than that the staff was friendly and the service had no delays. --Food-- I had just the right amount of coffee with my americano with milk on the side, however the amount of coffee was vague regarding their special recipes so my friends looking for some caffeine didn't feel like they had less coffee than what they wanted.

We only had coffee. The place is amazing, such a gem, far away from the crowd and the touristy area. Coffee was ok. We found it by chance, and it was really nice to sit there and enjoy a coffee with so much greenery around. But the service is bad and the toilet is terrible in terms of cleanliness.

Not very friendly staff, pigeons flying into the indoors which is terrible, but probably the best cafe option around the Giardinni Biennale area that’s of reasonable price and with a range of light food options, also pretty nice botanical environment (if there would not be pigeons!)

Caffé La Serra was such a beautiful spot for a late breakfast. The setting is quiet and peaceful, with the café nestled right next to a historic greenhouse filled with gorgeous plants. Sitting outside was refreshing and relaxing—a perfect way to start the day. We enjoyed delicious paninis, great coffee, and brioche, all in a charming atmosphere. After your food or drinks, definitely take time to explore the greenhouse. Highly recommend this little gem if you’re in Giardini.

I went there 1 year ago. The food is just okay you can find other good choice nearby. And then they refuse me for one cappuccino, a very tipical breakfast, this year. Just remind you they just want take your money. If your order is not enough, they will kick you out the restaurant even though 50% of seats are empty. This restaurant is just for nice Instagram photos not food.👆👎🤌🤌🤌

Unfriendly. We ordered two Aperol Spritz and wanted to sit outside where two tables were still occupied and the rest of the chairs put together. It was not allowed for us to take two chairs and sit sit on them. We were told to stand. Luckily a couple at one of tables left and eventually we could sit. Then we were asked to stand again, It would be a different price if we want to sit. Then I said, ok how much is it to sit. No answer. Then at 19:15 we left our glasses and went into the restaurant next door. A little later it became clear. The bar closes at 20:00 and at 19:50 the staff wanted everything to be cleared out to have a smoke.

We chose this place to enjoy a coffee during our trip to the port. Just ordering took long enough. We then waited at least 20 minutes for two coffees. Although the coffee was great, the service was not up to speed despite the half-full occupancy. Unfortunately.

The pastries are rustic and tasty. I highly recommend the strudel and almond petit four (both pictured below); they are more flavorful than most other pastries I’ve tried in the city. The pasticceria smells like a good pastry shop, and the quiet, cool ambience is very relaxing and inviting, especially during sunny days in crowded San Marco. I definitely recommend, and certainly plan to return.

Tourist point of view. The pistachio paste is divine - soft sweet melt in your mouth "donut" cloud is how I would describe it. I had also two croissants, nice cappuccino and espresso and paid 7.60 euros. The chocolate in the croissant was very hazelnutty but I'm more than happy with the order. I paid with card, the service was nice but slow. Didn't experience any of the issues described in the other reviews.

Thought everything was okay. We came here for an early morning breakfast before our tour. It was nice and close to our Airbnb so we thought we'd give it a try. Latte turned out okay for Italian standard, and the pastry thing tasted good. We ordered at the counter and ate inside as it was wet outside.

I have a reserved opinion about the place : most of Italian pastries are not to my taste (usually too sugary and too heavy), but the babá were really good, and so was the focaccia veneziana! Prices are correct, though drinks are more expensive than the average of Venice. The staff was nice, but slow.

Coffee was okay-ish... but.. Tiramisu was frozen and appeared to be kike those factory manufactured you find in grocery store. Apple cake was dry and hard... felt like it was made at least 5-7days ago

Stopped in for quick breakfast snack. They kinda explained in English what each pastry was. We all selected one pastry and had cappuccino. All were excellent. I’d have another cappuccino right now if I could. Very friendly. Good offerings. I highly recommend the apricot croissant. For 6 pastries and 2 cappuccino we only spent €15.

Ordered the pistachio cannoli for takeaway, it was filled with pistachio jam & cream. It was so delicious and perfecto!

Authentic bar with the most incredible baked items. I had the ricotta slice which I had been searching for all over Venice. All others I tasted were not good. Targa’s was delicious in all the right ways, not too big, not too sweet, its the real deal. Please don’t change a thing. The machiatto was also amazing . Thank you Targa 💕

Especially slow service. The employees were much more interested in each other and having a long conversation, insteed to take care of the customer… They put the cakes into a paper bag. he asked back four times that what I exactly want. Putting wraps and paper around several cakes, but finally when I offered the cakes to my family on the street it turned out not all was packed. it is really disappointing. Doing it 10 times a day makes this a really nice extra income…

Wonderful local shop to grab pastries from! My family and I grabbed an assorted mix including 3 flavors of cannolis, a pistachio creme pastry, a lemon meringue, and a caramel nut pastry! Everything was so lovely, and the person behind the counter was so nice with helping us through our first takeaway experience in Italy!! Just remember to say takeaway first if you aren’t planning on eating it there !!

This pastry coffee place is the real deal, with fresh traditional cookies and pastries, some made of almonds so safe for gluten and lactose intolerant people. We finished our tray of goodies so I returned for breakfast as suggested by the friendly guy behind the counter and the apple strudel was so good I took home two more slices. Really worth a visit!

I stopped in for a delicious espresso and a perfectly made pastry, and it was a wonderful experience. The two ladies behind the counter were kind and welcoming—even though they didn’t speak English, I tried my best in Italian and we managed just fine. They were nothing like some of the negative comments I’ve read; you can’t expect to visit another country and not make an effort to communicate. The pastries were fresh, the coffee was rich, and the atmosphere felt authentically Venetian. A true local gem worth visiting for a genuine experience.

We went here on the recommendation of an actual Venetian who said their frittelle were the best. We were not disappointed with the cream-filled sugary donuts, and lucky that we were in town during the time they are made (only during Carnival and just before, apparently).

Very good pastries, everything on display looked wonderful. I had a croissant filled with cream that was delightful. Staff is friendly... except if you're a tourist who isn't familiar with how cafes work in Italy. We were in the shop for a bit enjoying our treat and watched a few interactions. The man is polite, kind of made fun of me when I mispronounced hot chocolate, but normal in Italy. The woman is very impatient with tourists. A few (American) customers walked in and ordered iced coffee, she barked out with sugar? With milk? Take out? And then complained about them in Italian to other Italian customers or staff.

Fantastic little local bakery with delicious local pastries and some from southern Italy. Prices were low considering location and quality of product.

We had 'first' breakfast here on two mornings. The brioche, in particular the pistachio cream are amazing. Staff were lovely and very helpful to we two non Italians

The attendant was very rude! I've had an bad experience there. I'd asked the menu and the attendant has answered me that there wasn't menu there and after that, he has pointed at the other coffee shop and said: there is a menu at the Mc Donald's. After, I've seen the menu on the wall of the establishment. I wasn't expected this kind of behavior. So, I only drank a coffee ane ate one snack. I spent 5,20 euros. I don't recommend it!

The concept is pretty cool: the menu changes everyday. But I just don’t think the food quite delivered… the night I went there were a lot of Asian fusion dishes like Bao teriyaki chicken and pad Thai. I had the pad Thai, and it was too greasy I could literally see the pile of oil after I finished. There were very few shrimps. My friends who got the teriyaki chicken rice liked their chicken as it was marinated and flavorful and pretty tender but the portion was rather small.

Good food. Not super cheap but the food was fresh and delicious. The staff were helpful. Nice stop if you're in the area.

You cannot skip this place while in Venice - Murano. We tried their focaccia and it was one of the best we had. The sweets are also really good.

Incredible. We came here almost every morning for pastries. The focaccia was my husbands favorite. The apple tarts were mine! Get there early for the best selection- they are busy!

Server is not friendly. We asked for 100gr of Budino Veneziano, and she was not happy se wanted to sell us the whole part! At least it was tasty. On the other hand the pan del pescatore its just uncooked dough with sugar. And like it was sitting there for a while. Even if those are marked as “by unit” (look at the photos) the price is by grams!!!

Sfogliatine! That is the name of these amazing pastries. If you see them, buy a big bag of them. Super tasty!!! Very light and crunchy with a bit of jam in the meringue crust. 😏 There are just few places where you can find them and Panifici Crosera is one of them.

We are travelers to Venice for the first time but have tried a few of the surrounding cafes and bakeries and this was by far the best. We came back again the next day. Delicious homemade pastries and breads and little lunch pizzas. They were all absolutely delicious. I would stop here for breakfast or for a quick to-go lunch. Also very affordable! It was obvious everything was homemade and fresh. The lady who worked there was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

Great place to get bread and sweet baked goods for your breakfast. Opens at 7 a.m. before all other bakeries. Especially the brown bread is the best we ever tasted in Italy!

This unmarked traditional bakery is truly incredible. We stumbled upon it on a side street. A very friendly woman explained all of the baked goods. My friend got the pistachio cake and I got the chocolate cookie with almonds ("Venezia") in the window. Both were amazing. The pistachio cake was actually so good we're going back today for seconds. Definitely recommend!!

Majer is a great spot for a morning coffee. The coffee was well brewed, with an authentic, aromatic flavor that was both rich and energizing. We also had two Italian sandwiches – one with prosciutto and the other with grilled vegetables served warm – both were a real delight for the palate in the morning. A glass of chilled prosecco made the experience even more enjoyable.

A lovely local pastry shop where both locals and tourists stop by for a quick espresso and something sweet (or savory!). It has that authentic neighborhood feel — cozy, welcoming, and full of tempting aromas. I tried the focaccia with Parma ham, and it was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. There were plenty of other pastries and sandwiches that looked amazing, but I couldn’t try them all this time. Definitely recommended for a casual bite, good coffee, and great sandwiches. I’ll be coming back to try more! ☕🥐

This place is really delicious, the croissants and pizza are both very delicious. I came here twice.

Just perfect, delicious pizzas and cakes with supper friendly stuff that make the atmosphere kind and comfortable. Specially the beautiful Iranian women that gives services with a nice smile.

I was thinking of writing the reviews to all the places visited at the airport, but here I have to do it right away. That might be the best cappuccino I’ve tried so far (and I go to many different places throughout the day when travelling). Price is 2 euros or around it. Various goods for a tasty breakfast. My personal favourite was the egg cupcake. Cannoli is great. The dough in it tastes exactly how it should - savoury. Almond cake is heavenly. Service amazing, friendly stuff.

Visiting Italy and this was the first bakery we wondered into after arriving in Venice; everyone was so nice and very helpful in navigating what to order. We plan to come back before leaving the city

Never go there with children. Very unfriendly. Children where sitting calmly on the table playing some Table games. After the second warning we were requested to leave. They were never loud nor disturbing someone. Just ridiculous. Never again

Lovely atmosphere by yhe Rialto bridge with the water right next to you. The service was qas very friendly, but the food was average. Not enough flavor or brightness in the pasta dishes. Better value for similar prices elsewhere.

Sat down at a table at 2pm to have a dessert and a drink. Most of the other tables were empty. We got sent away because "they only accepted people for lunch". Clowns...

We stumbled upon this place while walking on the grand canal at Venice. The place is perfectly located in front of the canal very near to Rialto bridge. We ordered one of their vegetarian pizzas called Pizza alle verdure. It was perfectly served with right amount of vegetables. It was delicious and filling. In Venice they already charge sitting fee so people normally don’t tip here, which we found out towards the end of our trip :-)

We bought 2 ice coffee. One of them was delicious, other one is not. Everybody was kind and you can enjoy the coffee next to the Grand Canal. Price is 10-20€ if you buy coffee for 2 person. If you wanna it somethinh then 20-30€.

Very close to the Rialto Bridge, with a beautiful ambiance and a location near the waterfront. Our coffees were delicious, but the tiramisu was average. The waiter who assisted us was very polite. Recommended for those who want to enjoy a pleasant time with a view.

So good we came here twice on the same day! Great coffee and cakes, good service, and a really nice casual and cool atmosphere inside. Or you can sit outside by the canal. If you stand at the bar you can get much cheaper coffee, but if you're walking around Venice you need to sit - and this place is great.
