Amazing restaurant in Murano. We got the spaghetti with clams and mussels, the caprese salad and fried calamari. And of course we had to try the tiramisu, which was so amazing we ordered a second one! The service is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. If I ever come back to Venice I will definitely make the trip to eat here again.

I came to this wonderful restaurant 20 years ago and it's still the best one. I know you have to walk around Murano to find it but believe me, will be the best experience ever. Special mention to the bacala mantecata a typical Venetian dish. It's prepared daily here with great taste, for me is the best. This is where locals come to eat, don't expect a typical turist restaurant. This is what we call cucina de la nonna (Grandsma cooking style). Don't miss spaghetti alle vongole and the tiramisu which is hand made. Every time I come to venice this is a must-visit. Away from the crowd and perfect for the real italian experience

Nice and peaceful location. The clamps spaghetti was one of the best I had had. The staffs were considerate and efficient. Note that they accept payment by cash but not card.

Our lunch was delectable! Pizza was scrumptious, bolognese was delicious, Gnocchi was yummy, but the showstopper were the french fries!! They are out of this world! The food was only outdone by the outstanding customer service. I DEFINITELY recommend!

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant, everything was perfect, from the service to the atmosphere. I was especially happy to find gluten-free options, and the gluten-free pasta was the best I’ve ever had. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone!

Staff were very welcoming and in good humour catering to some tourists. Food was delicious and plentiful in portion size. The sardines were my favourite. We did pay some tourist tax though with mixing the sardines and prawns at the waiters prompting. So he charged us 20 for mixing the 16 and 18 euro dishes. He was so friendly and the food was so good that I don't feel bad about it.

Squid ink pasta was delicious and not too salty! The server was also friendly and did not impose cover charge for my child who was 3 years old.

Ristorante Pizzeria Marlin is a phenomenal taste of Venice. A superb little spot that makes the first time traveling so rewarding. We took a ferry to Murano without a plan or idea to grab a pizza and watch a glass show. We stopped outside Ristorante Pizzeria Marlin—there was not a single table open at the restaurant. We asked if we could help, and when we checked a table was open and cleared for us (as other guests were leaving). We sat down, ordered drinks and our drinks arrived within seconds. We ordered pizzas—and they were absolutely phenomal. Our food arrived at the table hot. We felt welcomed and cared for at Ristorante Pizzeria Marlin. We are definitely coming back here to support this family owned business.

Such a nice place. On the canal, prices are very reasonable, wine by the carafe. I’m a vegetarian and I can only speak for the vegetarian lasagne, but it was great! We enjoyed the restaurant and the staff.

One of these tourist traps I would say. The pizza was good but very average. I saw a bunch of good reviews so maybe my expectations were too high. The pizza though wasn’t as light as you would expect in other Italian pizza places.

It was okay here, traditional food, lots of choice and the garden was beautiful. The mixed fish starter was okay but maybe a bit small, there was a huge portion of the delicious liver but my fried mixed fish was mainly squid and too small for the money. We thought a bit expensive and the service was not as good as I would expect. We asked for a dessert several times and were acknowledged and then ignored. Maybe it was a bad night? I think if you go for the pizza you might feel it was better value and we would do this if we went back

Great pizzas (nice size and delicious) and nice pasta (lasagna was v good). House wine was fine too. Only a few waiters and reasonably busy so not really time for them to be sociable. There’s a terraced garden at the back which was pleasant (although lots of mosquitoes).

It's very deceiving from outside. This is a very large restaurant with tons of seating both inside and out. Service was terrific and the food was too notch. We had spicy beef carpaccio too start. It was drizzled with olive oil and shaved parmignon cheese. The spaghetti with duck ragout was the best dish we had our entire for days in Venice. And the Bufal Piccante pizza was delicious. We finished with biscotti, espresso, and lemoncelli. It was a fine, fine meal for not much money. Highly recommended!

Food: The limoncello spritz’s were like water, the pizza was the most standard pizza I ate in Italy. The buratta ricotta was the best out of the three foods we got but it was cold. Also the lasagna was pretty cold inside so we think it’s definitely from the fridge/freezer. I am really disappointed with the food. About the atmosphere, it was really nice and the service was also good until our plates came. I had a couple of hairs and particles over my plate and this was the same for my friend.

During our visit to Murano island, we stumbled upon this charming Pizzeria. It looked like a very normal entry but inside is at a whole different level. We were immediately drawn in by its beautiful decor, and captivating paintings & photographs that created a delightful ambiance. For our meal, I chose a vegetable pizza and thoroughly enjoyed the fresh combination of black olives, bell pepper, red onion, basil, and mushrooms – a perfect choice for a light yet satisfying meal. Our Aperol Spritz complemented the food wonderfully. The restaurant offered both comfortable indoor and inviting patio seating, and we were particularly impressed by the friendly and efficient service from the staff. Overall, it was a truly delicious and memorable dining experience in Murano.

Food was very good. The patio in the back was very nice and covered by trees to stay cool. We had the seafood pasta, which is for a minimum of 2. There was enough to feed four well.

Pizzas are personal sized but large enough to share. Service was steady but tad on the “business” side as our waiter was not one to make any small talk nor recommendations. Cover charge is €2,50 per person with still water @ €4. The Frittura Mista was the best part of the meal @ €27. Everything else was average. All-in for our meal was €97.

The interior design was exceptional, with a cozy atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding a personal touch to our experience. Given the reputation of the restaurant and the premium pricing, we arrived with high expectations. While the setting and service were outstanding, we felt the food didn’t quite match the same standard. With such a prime location and wonderful ambiance, there’s incredible potential here, and we hope to see improvements in the menu that align with the overall experience.

The interior is gorgeous, great artwork selections. The service was amazing, very attentive service and they bring out complimentary bread and amuse bouche. The bread was delicious and a little warm, however I think much more warm would be better. And the amuse bouche had various sea flavors which were fun to try. Not everything here was delicious but I don’t think that was the goal, it was various flavors and I still enjoyed trying each. The entrees are small proportion, beautifully plated, however taste mostly typical. I think the price is mostly fair considering the artful plating and ingredients used, but the taste isn’t spectacular and food size is very small. I had the lobster black ravioli, it was good, however not spectacular, and obviously 4 ravioli for €25 is not fun. I think maybe throw in some non lobster ravioli to fill the plate more. I would only really recommend this place if you’re looking to spend a lot, given the small plates.

Absolutely love this restaurant and its location right on the water! Although our reservation was 8:30, it took a little while longer because we wanted to wait for a table closest to the water for photos :) There was bread and introductory bites that were absolutely delicious! I wish I could remember what they were but I can remember they are DELICIOUS! The carpaccio was fresh and amazing - I definitely recommend. As well as the Maialino - so tender and flavorful. The only thing I dislike is the service speed. They’re friendly and inform you on all plate items, but ga damn they are slow. Although, they close at 11pm, we ordered the tiramisu at 10:55pm. They said the kitchen was closed. It’s unfortunate because a lot of reviews said it was good so we wanted to try it, but maybe next time.

Great place for lunch. Menu was perfect and the location is great for a view and a chance to watch the water taxis! Service was excellent and all servers spoke English perfectly.

Beautiful and welcoming restaurant. The atmosphere is quite elegant and the style is definitely up to standards. We ordered a selection of plates which have definitely called our attention in their presentation and flavours profile. A quite heavy selection of fish dishes with a couple of meat choices. The Aperol sprits was top. I’d definitely recommend to try it if you want to remember your stay in Venice.

While only a 20 min walk from St. Mark’s Square, it felt like we were getting lost winding through quiet streets of Venice (very different from the crowded ones on the other side of the grand canal) looking for a good place for cicchetti. When we got there, we were nervous. It was small whole-in-the-wall, with one man running the place talking to a customer at the bar. Instead of the rainbow of open faced sandwiches we were expecting, there was a total of 7 cicchetti. But the man was kind and my kids just wanted to sit and have a coke at that point so we ordered one of each of the cicchetti and took a seat in the empty seating in the back. We’re so glad we did. We were blown away with the taste of these little morsels and soon went back for more of our favorites. There was a shrimp one that was my favorite (I don’t think we got a picture because it was gone before we remembered to take one) and the two kinds of fried sandwiches which must have been mozzarella in carrozza, except I don’t think it was mozzarella cheese. One had anchovy and one had ham. I fully recommend both. The back seating was empty while we ate our lunch but several locals came and went, chatting with the man in the front and leaving with food, so I think we found one of those local hidden gems. I hope it gets busy later in the day because it deserves to be.

Perhaps the best €5 snack I’ve ever had (2 seafood bruschetta and the house white wine was all it took for me to fall in love). The raw tuna is divine (€1.8 for 2 glorious bites). The shrimp & zucchini is equally as good (also €1.8), but both hit a craving I didn’t know I had. The house white is light and buttery and at €1.3 a glass, it cannot be beat! Only thing that could improve this bar is music and dark painted walls to increase the coziness. Otherwise, it’s perfection. I will return. Again and again. ♿️ Small ledge to enter. Tables are low and also high counter and benches. Bright lighting and quiet.

Our favourite bar in Venice! Came across it on our last night here and we were pleasantly surprised. The prices are amazing and the wine is great. The cicchetti is simple but delicious and tastes authentic. The atmosphere is lovely and cosy and not touristy at all. The man serving us was very friendly and helpful, and didn't mind explaining what the cicchetti dishes were. Lots of cute dogs too which we loved!!!! Highly recommend for a chill night :)

Busa alla Torre is a Murano institution, named for the vanished belltower of San Stefano. Set in a sunlit square, it’s famed among locals for Venetian authenticity and fresh seafood. I began with moeche fritte – soft-shell lagoon crabs, a rare spring and autumn delicacy, sweet, salty, and egg-crisp, offset by fried seasonal vegetables. Then came spaghetti alla marinara: pasta perfectly al dente, with fresh shellfish, ripe tomato, and a lift of parsley – proper delicious. Espresso closed with traditional biscuits: buttery esse Buranei and golden zaeti. Honest, vibrant Venetian cooking.

The best: outside lunch with a view. Tables outside surrounded by the beautiful church and the canal are priceless. They offer a fixed menu (15€) that is a good deal actually: first dish, second dish and side dish. I enjoyed the pasta alle cozze, it was the best of what I've tried. As second, I had fish that was no good no bad. No taste at all I would say. House wine was good too. Clean bathroom.

Lovely unpretentious place. Authentic and appreciated by the locals who recommended it me. Inexpensive by Venice standards with a lovely view of a church. Seafood is a focus but everything I had was superb.

Plates for the outside area are stored outside, uncovered with pigeons walking all over them, wouldn’t be a problem if the top plate wasn’t used but it was handed to a customer who we then informed. Pigeons were also in the bread bin which the staff we’re leaving open, hard to tell from where I was sat if the bread was covered or not within the basket. Just got drinks, decided not to eat.

How nice to find such an authentic restaurant! Great traditional food, cordial atmosphere and homey decoration. The antipasto was excellent, as well as the pasta and the grilled calamari cooked to perfection. Outstanding almond cake and tiramisu! Strongly recommended

Good food and service for dinner. Glad we were able to check it out after watching it on an old Anthony Bordain episode. Stands the test of time! Cozy and warm atmosphere inside although they also offer outdoor seating if available. One of our pasta dishes was a little too salty for my taste but the raw seafood and seafood in general was amazing, especially the calamari. Be sure to ask for the specials and what they may be out of before you decide what you want to order. We made reservations about 6 to 8 weeks ahead to ensure our reservation. Solid Venetian cuisine!

We did not have reservations here, but they quickly set a table for us outside. The service was excellent and the food outstanding! We had the specials, starting with the gnocchi with baby squid - it melted in your mouth. Our main dishes, the tuna stacked with eggplant and a local fish, both beautifully presented and equally delicious. We ended with some dessert wines and a grappa semifredo. It was strong but also very good. Highly recommend Al Covo for a fantastic dinner!

I made a reservation here in September and enjoyed my experience overall. I ordered a peach bellini, which I typically don't order, but it sounded really refreshing on a warm day. It came with fresh peaches in the glass which was a delicious touch. They brought over a small bite from the chef that was an egg salad sandwiched in between bread. It was good but not great. I ordered the rock crab that came with a small serving of sauce on the side and it was delicious. With that being said, there were quite a few shell pieces left in the crab meat. If there was only a couple, I wouldn't say anything, but there was a considerable amount. For the main course I ordered the octopus gnocchi. The gnocchi was tender, but the flavors didn't seem to go together very well. The service and atmosphere were decent. Overall, it was a good experience, but I'm not sure that I would return to try something else.

Just eaten at Al Covo. We had a fantastic meal. Delightful location not far from St Marks Square. A good choice of food, especially if you like fish. I opted for sole and my wife chose a beautiful pasta dish. A great choice of wine from the local regions. Topped off with a cheesecake to die for. The recommendations for Al Covo are well deserved

Lived up to the recommendations! The food is soo fresh and creative, I enjoyed all of it! I booked this a two weeks in advance and could only get a lunch time so book early! I had the beetroot ravioli - it was perfect summer lunch dish. It was fresh with the poppy seeds and light. I also got the hummus with local vegetables, also good, I was surprised the vegetables were still hot but good nonetheless

Fresh and delicious restaurant with good service. Everything was delicious! We ordered the delicious crudo appetizer and 3 different pasta dishes. Black ink, prawn, and mussels. They served us snails in garlic and parsley as an amuse bouche. It was tender, so clean tasting, and delicious. At the end, we had to order another mussels pasta. It was that good! I recommend to make reservations. There’s an 8Euro charge per person for sit down in the restaurant. That’s the only downside.

This restaurant honestly was one of the best we’ve ever visited - excellent, very traditional Venetian style food with an emphasis on locally sourced seafood - top ingredients beautifully presented with a touch of old fashioned decadence. The sommelier was outstanding and even offered to change a bottle of bubbly even though we had already drunk from it. Features in one of Anthony Bourdaine’s food shows - very rightly so. Absolutely loved it.

This place was recommended to me by a Venezian friend. Apparently, it’s very well-known and well-liked among the locals. We came here for a light lunch. I had a selection of cicchetti, along with a glass of wine. There is a very good selection of wines and their prices are more than reasonable. They also serve sandwiches. There are very few stools (both inside and outside) but we were lucky to find a place to sit and enjoy our lunch. We paid 20 euros per person.

The place is small, quant and humble. If I owned this place I would put a board out advertising “oldest wine bar in Venice”. But they don’t. They serve their delicious bites of food and reasonably priced and well selected wine in this absolutely charming place. Be warned though large bunches of food tours will visit, sample and move through while you’re there.

Well…this review is hard. The place, the history, the atmosphere is 5 stars or more! Now the food it is actually less than 4. We arrived at 14:15, not that off from lunch time. They serve us cold everything, even the meat balls. The cheese was great, but the rest, honestly not very impressed. And we were five, this is not only my opinion. The wine was very good, red and wine, both. The server was efficient and quick, maybe not the friendliest, but again, considering the place and being only one running the whole shop it makes sense.

I had the experience of tasting cicchetti in other places in Venice, but this one was not as good as what we had in other places. Although there were some tastes that we didn't find in other places, but still the bread was not as fresh and crispy as it could be. We also ordered meat ball and Botchetta radicchio which both were so delicious.

Great food, fun atmosphere but not loud, large portions. Slight hiccup in beginning as we ordered starters but main meal arrived first. Kind apology with tasting of new offering, starters then arrived. Finished out with a new twist for us with their Rice Pudding. Would definitely return.

We needed a break from Italian food and came across this delightful restaurant. Had the shish touk with couscous and ravioli with eggplant. The food was delicious and excellently prepared. Shish touk was tender and flavorful and the couscous was lovely. Service was great.

There are times in your life where you might take a wrong turn or sit in the wrong seat, and it works out for the better… like, completely changes your day. This was one of those choices; we were supposed to go to Orient Express… another 10 minutes walk. After we sat here, got a beer and ordered food, we realized that we hadn’t made it to our intended destination. The food was a God send. A chilly, windy and rainy evening in Venice, and this place was just what we needed to get that enjoyment feeling back. Highly recommend!! And great for vegan!!

I loved this restaurant so much that my wife told me that I was not allowed to tell people that of all the places we’ve eaten in Italy over the last two weeks, this was my favorite.

Homemade style food. You get options of 2, 3 or 5 in the menu. We got mantu with chickpeas, beef stew, beef biryani, fried vegetables with yogurt, falafel, kufta, lemon chicken, chicken in cream, all tasty. Biryani seemed like it is leftover from yesterday. Mostly a good sample of Afghani cuisine. A worth try.

After a few days in Venice, I found myself somewhat bored with the seafood dishes. However, this seafood meal was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The prices may be a bit steep, but the taste is absolutely worth it. The portions are small, but the flavor is incredibly good. I can’t help but wonder if they’ll be getting Michelin stars soon. The waitress was extremely friendly and professional. I’ll definitely be back if I’m ever back to Venice.

A very great experience! Very nice and cozy atmosphere, Luciano, the owner, makes so easy for you to choose the dishes after his fantastic explanation, very creative cuisine. Specializes in fish, but not forget about the pasta and the original desserts! Definitely, an osteria you should not miss when visiting Venezia!!

Great restaurant with delicious food and tasty wines on a small square.on the way from the ferry boat stop from Murano and the city highlights. The view and interior caught our curiosity and so we went in encountering a wealth of delicacies. Good place to taste local wines at reasonable cost and service is very friendly and welcoming.

We had a fantastic time at Ostaria Boccadoro. We posted up for 3.5 hours and the servers were so friendly and accommodating. We ordered the mussels to start which were amazing and we dipped 500 pieces of bread in the buttery sauce. Then we had the spider crab gnocchi and fish ravioli. Both were melt in your mouth delicious. Make sure to order the panna cotta for dessert - it was unbelievable!

High quality food, local padrone with small jokes, local families dining-in, sitting al fresco on a quiet piazza. Off the beaten Venice tracks but definitely well worth visiting!

This was by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The service was appalling, and the waiter was unbelievably rude and racist. We were made to wait unnecessarily, and when we tried to order, she bluntly told us that we could only order certain items or leave and go to another restaurant. It was clear she had no interest in serving us and was incredibly disrespectful. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money – there are far better Italian restaurants where you’ll actually be treated with respect.

Some of the tourists are experiencing a cultural shock. They are bot used to the fast service and the rough but professional way of the waiters. They are amazing and I love it. The food was good and the service top. The tiramisu should have rested a little bit longer before it was served. But it shows that they are making it fresh which is a big plus. I would say it's the perfect place for good food with middle budget. Enjoy!

This is the WORST macho rude disrespectful agressive waiter I’ve ever seen (with a long pony tail) who told me after 30min wait for a simple dish of pastas that it was normal in Italy and Venise as its not Mc Donald. THANK U, I know what a good normal restaurant is about and what Italian proper service should be: definitely not here! Fast food service is 10 times better ahah

It’s a family restaurant, local people love it. You can taste and Venetian food , and Sicilian. Also ask about specialties of the day. Prices are not high. Lunch is served until 3 pm. Then they will open only for dinner. I had cuttlefish with ink and pasta with gambas. Both dishes were delicious.

I had the tiramisu here in Jan 2024 and I haven’t stopped talking about it since. My husband and I had decided to not visit a city twice, but we’re certain we’ll need to visit Murano again just for this Tiramisu.

Worst "gelato" I've ever had. It tasted like American store brand ice cream. There was a grainy after taste, syrupy flavors, and mini chunks of ice. Sad to say we only took a few bites and threw it away.. Good price though - €6 for 4 scoops.

I ordered a sugar free number 7 (strawberry, blackberry and raspberry). The menu states it as 100% natural. They handed me a smoothie made with box apple juice as base. Nothing natural about it and super sugary from the apple. The apple juice is not stated anywhere in the menu, water would have been my preference.

Very fast service. Fair prices, delicious Aperol Spritz, food and draft beer. Perfect spot for a quick snack and to escape the heat outside. Even has a terrace in the backyard.

Not the most delicious gelato ever, but definitely the best value we’ve had in Italy - €2 for a small cone/cup. The best thing however is the value for money - plenty of seating inside and outside, with a super clean bathroom (since public toilets in Italy can cost you €1 alone!!). Really friendly service as well. Would highly recommend as a quick break while exploring Murano.

Original Italian little restaurant that has great food and Gelato. Prices are average and quite a busy spot. How nice it was to see a toilet inside and no need to pay.

No complaints here. Just popped in for gelato and a coffee (and Prosecco!). Friendly service. The place was clean. Reasonable prices. The gelato was delicious according to the kids. I enjoyed an espresso, and the wife a Prosecco. They had a number of food offerings as well. Also some canned and bottled beer in a cooler. This was a diverse little restaurant. Really enjoyed the convenience of it and the quick and friendly service at the counter.

BEST CICCETTI 👌 10/10. FRIENDLY. WELCOMING. Has seats and fresh made. FUN OWNERS.... with bathrooms too !!! SO MUCH BETTER than the "more famous" schiavi down the walk, with No bathroom, no seats and NO SMILES EVER. Come here instead !!!!!

At the side of the canal with a nice view and a small park just in front. My favorite stop for far for local food and great drinks. Good value for the money! For €10 you will have two o three small local bocadillos and a lovely well prepare aperol spritz Usually has a queue but deserve the time

Great little spot for a drink. Lots of locals come here as well as visitors/ tourists. This bar is located right across from a gondola repair shop. We came on a Sunday so it was closed but if you come during the week during the season there's always work being done on some gondolas and it's supposed to be a really neat thing to see.

Great spot to grab a drink and/or panini. The service was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating even though I don’t speak Italian! I was served a delicious “original” Spritz - not Aperol! The bartender recommend I try what she called the “original” (I forget if she gave it another name, sorry!). Very refreshing and a lovely view while enjoying your drink & quick bite. (Also they have a clean restroom for customers.)

Delicious cicchetti and an excellent Aperol Spritz. It’s often busy inside, but you can sit outside on the steps. When you take your food outside, they’ll warn you to watch out for seagulls – which really amused me. It’s not an empty warning; they truly lurk around, ready to snatch your meal if they get the chance. The food was excellent in taste and perfect for a light lunch or snack. As a bonus, there’s a lovely view of the boatyard. Highly recommended for a quick, tasty stop.

Delicious food!! Long line but it moves quite fast and the service is super friendly. It was quite hot inside so I recommend taking your food to the park across the canal.

I can recommend Tagliatelle with shrimp and spicy sauce. It is excellent. Grilled Tuna is simple but fine.

best food we’ve had on our trip so far! Gluten free arabiatta was amazing and it came with spaghetti instead of penne which was a nice change. They also brought out gluten free bread stick type things which were really good. Overall highly recommend! in a cute courtyard and lovely staff.

Found this restaurant whilst exploring murano .The staff are lovely they even let me use the toilet even though they weren't opening yet.After a wander round the island we decided to go back here for lunch .Food was lovely and decently priced.Portion sizes are good.food was far better than some of the restaurants in venice .

This restaurant is just off the main street in Murano. The outdoor seating is in a pleasant little courtyard and they also have indoor seating available if you want. There is a good selection of food options and the portions are quite large. Everyone should be able to find a dish they enjoy! Everything is reasonably priced, so this is a good stop if you're visiting Murano.

Wine, Cicchetti, and Atmosphere to Savour - Right on the canal, this spot serves a great range of excellent-value wines by the glass. The cicchetti were a fantastic bonus for us (see photos): tuna with horseradish, lardo with honey and chocolate, smoked salmon with mascarpone. My late mother would have loved it here — sipping her wine, soaking up the atmosphere, and quietly working out the relationships of the folks around her. They are all clear about what is not on offer.

Whao, Whao, Whao! I’d seen this on “Somebody feed Phil” and was keen to try it whilst I was in Venice. Believe me - for lunch this is perfect. It’s a bit off the beaten track and if you go around lunch time be prepared to wait, but the wait’s so worth it. They serve cicchetti, little tapas like bites but don’t let any Venetian hear you call them tapas! They serve every mixture you can imagine. Lots of fish and cheeses involved. My personal favourite was the Gorgonzola and pear. Great for a lunch. We had 9 with water for about €17 I could have had a glass of wine for €1.50. Traditional Venetian fare that’s worth seeking out. If like like food you’ll love here.

An excellent choice for cicchetti! I came at lunchtime and had 8 cicchetti (including tuna with cacao, which was delicious) and a glass of wine. There are no seats to sit down, but there is plenty of space to stand and have your cicchetti and wine (or coffee, if you prefer). Very reasonably priced.

Delicious fish sandwiches, I fell in love🤤. There are very big choice of sandwiches - not only with fish. Prices are really good (1.6 eur for sandwich (24.09.25). Staff are pleasant and helpful, they know English. I'm glad that I found this place. Venice is outstanding!

Cicchetti was good but this place gets crazy busy. Honestly crazy trying to order here. If you speak Italian you probably have a significantly easier time but if you are a tourist - this can interesting to navigate.

An excellent restaurant in Venice, recommended to me by a local. I’m glad I’d made a reservation to dine here. The food was delicious and the environment delightful. I had cuttlefish with polenta, a glass of wine and tiramisu for dessert. I also shared an antipasto - a selection of fish/seafood.

Awesome lunch spot with affordable wines by the glass to enjoy. Fried seafood platter was very delicious you can tell the quality of seafood used. Also highly recommend getting the crab pasta the flavours were on point!

Went on a recommendation from a friend. Very nice, tucked out of the way on a quiet alley. I had high expectations. Not sure about the Michelin rating, I expected a bit more attentive service only because of that, but I am spoiled in that sense. Food was very good. They sent reminders of my reservation several times. Interior was nicely done. This is a small restaurant, you would need a reservation.

One of the classic Trattorie in Venice, mentioned in many guides and highly recommended. Pictures of celebrities on the walls (Woody Allen, Lionel Messi and so on) but none of the pictures are from recently. Fun fact: „ Carampane“ used to be the prostitutes you could find around here when this part of town was the red light district. Have a good look at the logo of the Trattoria and you will notice the reference. They serve only sea food, daily dishes dependent on what’s available at the Mercato Rialto nearby. We had the mixed sea food salad for starters, then the fried mixed seafood and the monkfish (that was a daily dishes). The kids had spaghetti with tomato sauce at 18 EUR (!) per dish not much else for kids. Quality was ok, the monkfish was dry though and some of the fried fish had an odd soapy taste. Service was friendly but not warm. The Interieur is classy, clean and you feel the history of the place.

Came for dinner and it was delicious. We received a welcome fried ball that was delicious. We ordered the grilled octopus (very good), fried shrimp and calamari (the wasabi mayo was yum), and a pasta dish in crab sauce. The restaurant is cozy. Highly recommend.

Huge disappointment. Pretty presentation, but bland food, cold service, and when I dared say the swordfish in the pasta was dry, the manager (I think?) was just offended and told me it was made that morning and everyone likes it. The pasta itself was not particularly flavorful, nor was the sauce. The frito misto my husband ordered was fine but nothing incredible, and way overpriced for what it was at 35 €. Red wine by the glass selection was very low quality and served way too warm! Room temperature wine in August at this type of restaurant?? The glass of local Venitian white Tai was very nice, as was the foccacia. This place was recommended by Conde Nast Traveller, and has pictures of a few famous people on the walls, but seems to have become a tourist trap! We’ve had a great number of amazing meals in Venice with incredible service, but this was all the opposite.

We booked a table for lunch a couple of months before our trip to Venice. The food here is amazing. Delicious and fresh. You can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu. Tuna tataki was wonderful as were all of our mains. It's a small place which is why it's booked out well in advance. If you like your seafood, then definitely come here. It's not cheap but it's worth it.

We were recommended Osteria alle Testiere by friends who visit often, and it was the highlight of our trip to Venice & Verona. The food was outstanding and the hospitality from Luca and his team was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch trying lots of local seafood (including oysters, clams, scallops, fish, pasta alongside exceptional veg) with excellent wine, followed by a tiramisu and coffee. Their menu changes daily based on the best ingredients available and so they say that because of this, all of their dishes are recommended - we’d have to agree! This is a gem of a restaurant. To ensure you don’t miss out, we’d highly recommend booking well in advance due to the small restaurant size.

Osteria alle Testiere has quickly become our favorite restaurant in Venice. For pescatarians like us, it's truly the best place you could visit in this magical city. The restaurant is small and cozy, so reservations are a must. You're greeted by a wonderful team that makes you feel so welcome. The quality of the food and the attention to detail in every dish is outstanding. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, with the menu based on the daily catch and vegetables from their own garden. The dessert selection is also superb and we'll definitely be back!

Absolute cracking restaurant. For me one of the best - if not THE BEST in Venice 2 Months later and we are here again ! As always a really great experience. Very intimate and sophisticated restaurant, yet the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Every thing we had was well balanced with amazing distinct flavors. It's a great way to enjoy authentic venetian meals.

This restaurant is simple but exquisite. Had a recommendation from a friend and booked way ahead (literally 3 months ahead!) as we’d heard such good things and didn’t want to be disappointed for our one night in Venice. The restaurant is incredibly compact, probs max 10 tables, which gives a charming and attentive atmosphere, matched by the utterly wonderful staff. Many people tried to get a table by walking in, but were turned away, so we definitely felt very lucky indeed to have reserved in advance. As an apologetically English speaking tourist, it was lovely that the restaurant was full of a mix of both locals and international guests. The waiters were equally kind and attentive to all clientele (sometimes I feel like you can get a raw deal/ cold shoulder as a tourist…but not in this place). The atmosphere was very relaxed and incredibly pleasant. The menu is perfect: a good range, but not overwhelming, with a carefully selected range of fresh seafood and seasonal dishes. We had scallops (insane!), mussels, tuna ravioli, and turbot. Everything was exceptionally seasoned and well presented. The attention to detail in the sauces was particularly note worthy. We finished with a tiramisu (criminal not to) which we both agreed was the best we’d ever eaten. To be honest my only regret is that we couldn’t just order the whole menu: looking at other guests’ meals/tables it seemed that every dish would have been divine. The only tiny area for improvement might be a more extensive alcohol-free drinks list. The wine list was extensive but for non-drinkers there were just a couple of choices. That defo isn’t anything to cry about, though; bottom line is this restaurant is fabulous and provides a relaxed, authentically Italian experience. Make a reservation now, and tell your friends…(or maybe don’t, cos then it’ll get too busy…)

Super funny, friendly and entertaining waiters! Also very accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable about their craft! They made me a whole beautiful vegan pasta dish off the menu, that was superb! My non vegan companions were also very happy :) thanks for the delicious meal in a warm and homey space! You can tell they cook with love, passion and knowledge. It was a pleasure to watch the experts at their craft

A Hidden Gem in Venice! Where to begin…this intimate restaurant (just 10 tables!) was the highlight of our trip to Venice. A reservation is a must, and absolutely worth it. The service was exceptional: warm, attentive, and detail-oriented. We shared the beef tartare, ricotta ravioli, and the catch of the day—each dish was delicious, with the fish being the standout. Don’t skip dessert: the tiramisu was the best we had in Italy, and the wild strawberry sorbet was perfectly refreshing. Reasonably priced for such a high-quality experience. 100% recommend!

I had the pleasure of celebrating my wife’s birthday at an amazing restaurant recommended by our foot tour guide in Venice. It turned out to be a fantastic choice—the food was absolutely incredible. The beetroot spaghetti was bursting with flavor, and the ceviche was unbelievably fresh. I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Venice—they won’t be disappointed. I struggle to understand why so many people keep giving this restaurant 5 stars, we expected much more for the price we paid. Seven raviolis for 22€, three strips of duck breast for 30€, 2 glasses of wine and a Tiramisu (which was very good) - we left hungrier than when we came. Food quality is there, but quantities are disappointing. Waiters kept asking us if we wanted more food or drinks, making us feel uncomfortable for saying no.

This restaurant was a true pleasure to dine in. It started with such a warm welcome and every course seemed like it was a gift from the chef to us. The pasta was so perfect that I was lost in all the delicate flavors in my mouth. The fish was cooked to perfection with all its flavors locked into one perfect fillet on a plate. To top everything the ambience was so homely and the service was exceptional. This place may be a small restaurant but some good things in life come in little packages. I would certainly recommend this restaurant as a must visit while in Venice

Went there with my family. Made a reservation due to the online reviews we saw saying it was a ‘must have’ but i think the reviews made my expectations way too high. The menu has very few options (which i don’t consider a bad thing) but from the different combinations of flavors described on the menu I was expecting more of an explosion of flavors, and at least the entree and my main dish were quite bland. My family had the same impression as me from their dishes. The tiramisu we had for dessert was good (texture wise) but a little too strong (or too much) coffee. The final drink (digestive liquor, on the house) was the highlight , instead of the common limoncello they offered us a liquor made by their own production and made of artichokes, which impressively was quite tasty!

Had very high expectation for our first Venetian cuisine but didn't turn out so well. The service was splendid, but food-wise... perhaps I've not yet learned how to appreciate traditional Venetian food, since there were clearly lots of locals. Seafood a lil bit too "fishy"(maybe cuz they're from the lagoon?), steak a lil bit too chewy ......

I would give 10 stars if I could! 🌟 The atmosphere and the food were amazing. This place is popular for a reason, so having a reservation is recommended. We found it spontaneously and still managed to get a table inside. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and the food took us to the heaven and back! It was by far the most delicious food we tried in Venice. The mixed starter was so good and then they topped it for me with a simple pasta with tomato sauce. I say simple, but it was absolutely delicious! If you can make something so simple taste so delicious, you definitely know what you are doing. 🍝 My husband has ravioli with fish and was also super impressed. Regards and big thank you to the whole crew there! You made our day. It’s worth it to come back to Venice just to eat at this place again. ❤️❤️❤️

La Palanca, Giudecca, sits by its namesake vaporetto stop with views across the canal. A daytime trattoria and evening cicchetti bar, it’s beloved by locals for its straightforward cooking and fair prices, though it’s had its share of international press. I settled under the wooden beams for a final fish lunch and trusted the barman’s choice: grilled tuna, crusted in toasted sesame and drizzled with balsamic. Nutty, savoury, sharp-sweet – simple, deftly timed, and perfectly judged. Light, unfussy Venetian cooking at its best, with views to match. 8.5/10.

Amazing place ! The view on Venice and the tables by the sea are really beautiful. Service is impeccable with smiling and funny waiters. And the food is really impressive: tasty and original, from the starters to the dolci ! Best sardine pasta i’ve had. Thank you for this experience !

There is something so special about La Palanca. Beyond the incredible food, it’s the genuine service and the ambiance, where tourists and locals rejoice, that makes it a true treasure. We’ve been in Venice for 3 days and after seeking more central (near San Marco) / mainstream options on all the “where to go lists” - it was La Palanca that stood out above the rest. They were also incredibly attentive to allergies / intolerances, which goes a long way. 10/10 would recommend for the friendly service, location, and fantastic food.

We came here as we heard that this was a great place to have lunch. It will require you to take the vaporetto from the main island over, but the trip is completely worth it as you can dine waterside with Venice in view. Of note, sometimes waves will breach the side of the walkway. The restaurant has set up wooden boards as well as elevated crates beneath some tables to prevent your shoes from getting wet. This is not a big issue, and in fact we had a good laugh when it happened to us. THE FOOD HERE IS STELLAR. Both my partner and I agree that this is likely the best dining establishment we ate during our 2-day stay in Venice. The seafood is extremely fresh, the staff was friendly, welcoming and attentive. This dining establishment focuses on food and customer service. We at no point felt rushed as we did on the main island. We started off with the fish platter which came with whipped salted cod, marinated sardines, raw tuna in olive oil, and anchovies. The whipped cod was in our opinion the best in the area. The Buffalo mozzarella with roasted eggplant was awesome. The squid ink pasta and grilled prawns were also well made and not overly salty like some other restaurants on the main island. This is a place that we will likely revisit if we are in the area again in the future.

We absolutely loved this place! Highly recommend the tapas - local ones with cod and tuna, they were amazing, the meat was melting. And the tiramisu is one of the best I've ever had! The service was great and they kindly explained everything we were getting. And one of my favorite parts - a lot of locals were coming here :) we took a boat from Venice to eat here as a local friend recommended it to us.

My loveliest place in Venice. The incredible view on the row embankment, waves are welcoming under your feet but staff will give you some footrest. The stuff is fully friendly and really funny, I should say that it’s the best customer service that I’ve seen in the Venice. The atmosphere is really calm and has “la vita è bella” vibes :))) It’s not the place only for tourists, I saw a lot of locals, workers in special clothes and a little foreigners. The food was awesome and really fresh. I’ve taken an antipasti plate with fresh tuna tartar and another small fishes (18€). It was really nice. And for the dessert I had the best tiramisu (6€) in my whole life! The cream was incredible. White dry wine is good smelled and nice for taste. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Fantastic restaurant, in beautiful Venice, it seems that it's only visited by locals and very few tourists, as it's not on the main pathway from train station to St's Marc's square, but a bit further. Nice designed interior with many old artefacts and wishes from famous people, old furtniture. We've tried Spaghetti alle seppie nere, then Tagliatelle with seafood and Risotto di pesce (fish) and of course a delicious home made tiramisu (probably the best tiramisu, I've ever had) Staff was very helpful, although it was quite full during our visit, but all dishes came quite fast. Absolutely recommended

We loved Osteria da Alberto! It's a fantastic spot for delicious and fresh seafood dishes at very reasonable prices, especially for Venice. The interior was simple but very charming. It's rustic with lots of wood, with some tables near the window overlooking a small canal running alongside the osteria. Our server was incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about their house specialties. My husband wanted to try something uniquely Venetian, and the server recommended the bigoli in salsa di acciughe, which we both loved. I ordered my all-time favorite, spaghetti ai caparossoli (spaghetti with clams), and I was so impressed. The pasta was perfectly cooked, with a generous serving and plentiful clams. I still think about it once in a while. 😅 We can't wait to dine here again. Thank you for the excellent quality and service!

Quite busy restaurant. Cozy interior but a little weird decorations (Jack Daniel’s bottles are not Italian). Lady from service seems somewhat friendly but also a little stressed / annoyed. As she is alone, everything can take a bit longer. Menu limited, not a lot to choose from, but that can be a good sign, as they specialize in certain things. Risotto was good, fish was also OK, but nothing exceptional. After we finished our meal the staff was having lunch, so there was no one to bring us the check, we had to go up to the counter and wait for a while until they could spare some time. Would probably not return, even though everything was OK.

Fantastic food. Was recommended to come here by our Airbnb host and it did not disappoint. House red wine was excellent, they were very accommodating of our children with plain tomato pasta and pasta with butter. However our meals were amazing - the risotto al pesce was incredible. You have to order for two people but it was amazing, the squid was so tender. I had Angus beef steak and phil had liver and both meals were delicious. Fantastic atmosphere and service. I would say it was our favourite meal in Venice, but this was our first night in Venice!!! Hard to top! Great recommendation!!

We ordered Pasta Vongole and the original Venetian Bigoli in Salsa and it's one of the best pasta dishes we've tried so far in Italy. The place is very quaint and original, away from the hoard of tourists running throughout Venice. The seafood is fresh and the service is really pleasant. It's highly recommended.

Disappointing Experience – they treat tourist differently than locals. We made a reservation for 4 & arrived on time. Unfortunately, we were seated in an incredibly cramped corner—so tight that two of us couldn’t get out unless the other two stood up and the whole table was shifted. Not a great start. Service started off decently, but things took a turn when the wrong risotto arrived. We had ordered two of the nightly specials: the squid ink risotto and baked sea bass. What we got instead was a mixed seafood risotto. When we pointed this out, our server seemed visibly annoyed that we insisted on getting what we ordered. Her response? “It will take a while,” said with clear irritation. After that, the service completely fell off. She never came back to pour our wine or refill water, ignored our request for extra napkins, and didn’t check in on us at all. The shift in attitude was obvious and uncomfortable. What stood out even more was the difference in how locals were treated. The woman at the next table, who mentioned she was from Austin, whose server prioritized locals who arrived after her. The contrast in service was stark. As for the food? It was just okay. Nothing memorable, especially considering the poor service. Sadly, we won’t be returning and definitely won’t be recommending this place. Venice has far better to offer in both food and hospitality.

We have been to the Osteria and I agree with most comments on the quality of service, atmosphere and taste of the dishes. Our experience although has not been of the most rewarding. I can accept the philosophy of the place, also can understand the imbalance of 100 different wines and the short menu, I am prepared to accept the price and surcharge for location and view. What I cannot condone is the portion control. The job of a restaurant is not to be confused with that of a dietician. Pictures to testify that a plate of pasta at €22 with a ragù of mussels - with no mussels as evident from the photo- is not more than 70g of dry weight. Equally a €26 sarde is made of 7 small ones. So I hope the chef and the team understand that customers are ready to accept some compromises but not the lack of consideration of the environment they operate in - in Italian I would call this Lesinare: the intent to reduce the provision for the sole purpose of pretending to be posh. I would hope this review is taken for what it is. Recognition of good intent, feedback for improvement on the execution.

Beautiful, rustic type restaurant. Sat outside along the canals and had the tasting/sharing plates - 9 small different dishes for 60 EUR. They were all very tasty, diverse and utilizing local ingredients well, but I don’t know that the cost was worth it 100% by virtue of the plates being so small. However, the staff service was impeccable. One of the waiters, a blond gentleman who was coming to me with the wine pairings for the tasting menu had so much information about each wine. You could also see how passionate he was in talking about the flavors, where they come from, unique things that make the wine standout. I find that so cool and really enjoyed his and the other waiters’ details. All in all, a good night. Worth checking out, if you’re up for a more expensive meal.

If you look for something different and a meal that surprises you in a positive way. A place with ambitious cooking and very stylish presentation. Try this nice small restaurant in beautiful Cannaregio. Great food and great wine pairing. We found the staff very friendly and welcoming. Offering detailed descriptions of both food and wine. The only critique: We really enjoyed our meal, but yes, portions are very delicate and maybe a bit small. So order several and share!

A mixed experience. This restaurant is tucked away on a lovely canal and clearly aims to offer a refined, slow-cooked take on traditional Italian cuisine. The setting is charming, and it seems to cater to a more “foodie” crowd, with an emphasis on quality ingredients and a fresh take on traditional italian. However, for us, the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. While the service was professional, it really lacked any warmth, and the atmosphere felt more formal than inviting. The food was fresh and of good quality but didn’t quite deliver on flavour. For example I ordered the Vitelli Tonnato for my main dish and was surprised when it arrived as a plate of cold thinly sliced veal with dollops of anchovy sauce served on an entree size plate with nothing else .. for €26 it was a bit disappointing.. and underwhelming. At €120 for two appetisers, two small mains, and three glasses of wine, it was the most expensive meal we had in Venice—and not, in our view, the best value. While others may appreciate its more curated approach, it wasn’t quite the right fit for us.

Exceptional! We had the nine course tasting menu and some wine by the glass. All the food was very tasty and the service was enjoyable too. If you appreciate good food and do not insist on vitello tonnato hot with french fries, you will not be disappointed.

We stopped by for a quick lunch and we’re amazed by the quality and freshness of the food. The raw wild fish plate was a work of art and we also very much enjoyed fried sardines with fennel mayo and vitello tonnato. (It’s funny that some people complained that they serve it cold). We loved this restaurant. Excellent food in a charming but low-key setting, at a very reasonable price for the quality. We had two pasta dishes, both of which were versions of Venetian classics (one with beans, the other with anchovies), which were delicious. We also had their fried chicken with root vegetables, which was amazing. Excellent wine selection & the bread was perfect. Highly recommended for an on point & creative execution of Venetian cuisine.

During my recent visit to this charming Italian restaurant, I had the pleasure of trying their prawn spaghetti with tomato sauce. The dish was nothing short of delightful! The prawns were perfectly cooked, and the tomato sauce was rich and flavorful, complementing the pasta beautifully. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving delicious Italian cuisine. It's a true gem!

After a long morning of touring the city, I decided to finally sit down and eat. I came here after looking at reviews of the restaurants in my vicinity. It did not disappoint. I ordered fish lasagna and a salad. I never had fish lasagna before as I grew up on the Bolognese style, so I was not sure what to expect. It was delicious! The seafood filling between the pasta layers was nicely done. The salad was fresh. I ordered tiramisu for dessert and a cappuccino (even though it may have been a little late in the day for a cappuccino by Italian standards.) The tiramisu was delicious too. I only took a pic of the dessert, after I took a bite already but attached pic here. Service was friendly and attentive. The gondola guides/drivers eat here so I figured it should be authentic! Two were here when I arrived.

This is a great place for traditional Venetian fare. It’s frequented by the Gondolieri as seen in the photos. We all had seafood which was top notch, perfectly cooked and so good. I had fish Lasagna. It was many tin layers os lasagna with creamy fish between the layer. 10/10 would get it again. A pro tip for Venice, if a Gondoliere is waiting in line, it’s a great place!

we made a reservation around the opening hours so we managed to sit straight away but the seats filled up fast. we really enjoyed the starter of mixed fish, they're really fresh especially the sardines. as for the pasta, we chose spaghetti "busera" with prawn and spicy tomato sauce. it's nice but personal preference is to have the sauce to be spicier. as for the tiramisu, it leans toward sweeter side but we like the cream. great service from the staff!

The best Italian restaurant I've tried throughout my Venice trip! I forgot to book a table so I waited for around 10-15 minutes. That was a Thursday evening, on Friday it was busier so I couldn't get a table. So if you want to be here you should make a reservation in advance. We had lasagna, salad, shrimp tagliatelle and tiramisu as dessert later on. Every dish is a solid 10 out of 10. Fresh tomatoes and shrimp, creamy cheesy lasagna, and the tiramisu was the perfect ending. We were so full. My friend forgot her bag but the waiter was really fast to call us back! Writing this review makes me miss Venice even more!

We grabbed dinner here after reading reviews for restaurants in the area and were not disappointed. Their beef carpaccio was the highlight of the meal. The taste was much better than any I’ve had outside of Italy. The schrimp Gnocchi Scampi was also quite good and goes particularly well with the bread that’s given alonside the meal. The calamari was a misorder but was still quite good, though we would have liked to try the mixed fish that we had ordered. The clam pasta was quite flavoursome as well, the pasta was al dente as is always in Italy. Lastly the tiramisu was fresh and soft to the taste. The staff were attentive and quick to service. Would recommend this restaurant highly to anyone staying in the area, definitely well deserved reviews.

Food was good and the price is very affordable as well. The shrimp one was flavourful, tomatoey, fresh. The cuttlefish pasta was amazing as well, although I would appreciate slightly more flavour with the sauce, the cuttlefish itself was so so fresh, cooked to perfection and generous portion as well. The only thing is that the bread is a bit stale and tough at the same time haha, out of the 2 breads they have us one was really really chewy, while the other was hard like a rock. Service is also slightly rushed and forgetful, had to asked 3 times to get the olive oil and salt. Other than that definitely recommend this place because it is cheap, good, and quick!

This was our third time to Al Covino but the first time under the new ownership. The space remains small and intimate with a postage stamp size kitchen turning out fantastic food. Reservations remain required. We noticed the menu format (price fixe) and the ingredients (a lot of Southern Italy) were different and we loved it. The husband and wife team are great - their passion for exceptional food and service is clear from the moment you arrive until you are finished.

Al Covino is an outstanding restaurant run by a lovely married couple, Claudio and Claudia. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant whenever you're in Venice, Italy. They offer a three-course meal where you can choose from options like meat, fish, vegetarian, or you can let the chef decide for you. It was an unforgettable experience for me and my family.

An outstanding restaurant in Venice. There are only 7 tables, so booking in advance is highly recommended. There are four menus of four courses each and you get to choose three of the courses (two savoury and dessert). The food was delicious, the service excellent and the atmosphere delightful.

It so happened to be fate that during our time in Venice we ventured down a street and came across Al Covino. This was truly a gem of a place here in Venice. Such a cute little intimate place that beams with pride from this distinct culinary chef. Shocked I do not see a Michelin Star on the door. The food here was outstanding and the chef was so personal and truly cared about his dishes and ingredients. I hope to come back here in this life time. So friendly and incredible. By far the best place I’ve been in Venice. If you have the chance to eat here I highly recommend it. I’m so thankful to have been served here and greeted with such kindness and care. It was truly an honor to eat at this establishment.

This is a beautiful restaurant kind of hidden behind but their set menu is amazing super filling and not overly pricey. Loved the ravioli with fish super tender and flavorful. The bread they gave was also really good warm and chewy but not too hard. The ribs were so tender, not dry and not overly fatty 😋😋 the duck breast was amazing as well. The mashed potatoes were so light and smooth. Then the dessert was the perfect finish: tiramisu not overly sweet and can definitely taste the coffee. Chocolate almond flour cake was not dry and texture was nice with bits of almond

When one has a life changing experience, how do you express it in words? It's almost impossible! But this is exactly what has happened to me after eating at Al Covino.. To say the chef here is amazing is not enough, this man is truly a generational talent..in fact, im certain his eggplant parmesan is the secret to achieving world peace. If there is ANYWHERE you should eat when you're in Venice...it's here. Amazing food, amazing service and phenomenal atmosphere.

What can i say...the husband and wife team at this restaurant is absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and the service was superb. You almost feel like you are in the chefs home. I highly recommend this place!! I cannot say enough amazing things. Thank you Chef Claudia and Chef Claudio for the experience!

this restaurant has a sophisticated and elegant ambiance, with professional (if not particularly warm) service. for antipasti, we opted for the fried pumpkin flowers and vegetables which unfortunately is not worth the price. the zucchini was cut too thick, making it bland and unremarkable, and the pumpkin flowers lacked flavor. the tartar sauce, however, was the real star of the plate, it was rich and delicious. for our first courses, the ravioli was flavorful, though the truffle aroma was more of a whisper than a statement. the gnocchi turned out to be a single, oversized gnocco, which was a bit underwhelming in taste, though the mushrooms accompanying it were excellent. a small redemption came when the waiter surprised us with a traditional venetian carnival dessert (very delicious) that left a much better final impression. still, even given the prime location in the heart of venice, the pricing felt excessive: charging €7 for a small bottle of water is outrageous.

Elegant but pricey restaurant with great food Place Stylish and leaning toward the fancy side. Beautifully decorated with a theatre-inspired vibe. Located in a quiet area, right next to a hotel and the Teatro La Fenice. Staff Service was professional, polite, and very friendly. Everything felt attentive and of high quality. The lady host seemed very educated, but at the same time, felt cold and slightly rude. Not sure if that was the intention. Food The steak was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, with sides that complemented it well. Dessert was very good, though on the small side for the price. Prices Prices are on the higher end, but fair for the quality - in some terms. However, the menu was confusing as some items appeared priced for two people but were actually per person. On top of that, the cover charge and service charge felt excessive and unnecessary. The price for water also seemed exaggerated.

Ricardo was awesome!!! He took such great care of us as we sat in the comfy chairs on the patio out front. Weather was perfect and the cocktails were too!

Came across this beautiful restaurant/bar by accident. So glad we did! It was so elegant, we could not help but stop off for a glass of vino.

Don’t go here. It’s a tourist trap. They try to rip you off. The service is awful, they take as long as possible so the tables stay filled. Other wise it would be very empty. We waited close to 30 min before even ordering food. Some dishes the force you to order two orders. So the risotto (which was hard and undercooked) is £52. They make you order two large portions. There is no love music or snacks, but they hit you with a €5 cover charge per person. The food was just ok, both are dishes were loaded with salt, nothing was memorable. But the price was … €200 and we didn’t even have a bottle of wine. Then after all this they charge you 10% service fee! In Italy, a cover charge and service fee ?? I’m sure they only do that to tourists and hope they get away with. So if you want to pay service fees, for the worst service you have ever had, come here.

TOURIST TRAP TOURIST TRAP TOURIST TRAP Slow service, you take a seat and they charge you automatically 10€ fee per person+ 10% tip on the top of your bill. Also they tried to charge us 7€ per bottle of water we didn't have. Aperol spritz 12€ per glass. Wasn't worth it. Wasn't any bigger and definitely not stronger than any others for half price around St. Marks Square. To be honest I had better Aperol on Murano for 3,50€. Mushrom risotto was ok. 28€ per portion. Bill was 125€ for 2 portions of risotto and 4 aperol spritz is ridiculous.

WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE! We visited Taverna La Fenice on my birthday, for a cocktail (or two) and there we met the lovely bartender, who was absolutely MAGNIFICENT! We were so impressed with him and the service (faultless and to perfection) that we booked a table for the following night, sadly our last night in Venice. The food was Michelin standard, the atmosphere was magical and the staff were amazing and very friendly...except for who we think was the 'head waiter'...a blonde haired man in a blue suit and a red tie who was completely arrogant and thought himself above all other staff and obviously customers! He was constantly standing and talking to the couple on the next table, whom he obviously knew well, whilst we were trying to enjoy the ambience of the place. Not very considerate of him and very offputting. He had the task of creating our crepes at the table, no conversation with us! Almost as though it was beneath him to do this task. He made absolutely no eye contact, which made us feel very uncomfortable and even when he served the dishes to us, he could not bring himself to speak to us, just to grunt something as he handed them over - not professional at all. He then went back to talking to the couple on the next table and waited until he had finished the conversation with them and as he was moving off almost shouted at us, 'It's good, yes?' How rude. How unprofessional. How ignorant. This 'head waiter' or whoever he was, needs to pay more attention to how fabulous all the other staff are, instead of being 'puffed up' and full of his own arrogance. Ridiculous man. HOWEVER, do not let this man you off...the food is the best we tasted in Venice, the atmosphere of the restaurantis is amazing, you are made to feel special by the other staff and the bartender outside was MAGNIFICENT (I wish I had asked his name...he was so lovely) he was worth his weight in gold - what a marvellous front man for the restaurant. Exceptional. You must experience it for yourself...hopefully the 'head waiter' will leave for pastures new soon (he needs to) and let everyone else just get on with doing a spectacular job in a very professional and faultless way. The staff was friendly, the place looks good inside. The food was ok, but just that. An average okay restaurant, and for the price you pay, you'd expect something more. So I am calling this place overpriced. Additionally I paid coperto for two people despite dining alone at a table with one chair and one set of cutlery. Controversial, if you ask me. I'd give them 3 stars for food, but due to the coperto thing I'm giving 2 as it left me with an unpleasant feeling.

My first sip of wine in Italy! The service was fantastic. We ordered the seafood risotto (a must in Venice) and the spinach ravioli. Both were delicious- large portions appropriate for the price! We went for an early dinner and was very easy to find a table outside.

A must try when you are in venice , worth every penny you are going to pay , the food quality is amazing , it is so delicious and very well cooked . The place is cozy and the people there are very hospitable and professional. I had my birthday celebration there and it is an unforgettable one .

We ended up at this restaurant by accident because the place we originally planned to eat at was full. We chose Agli Alboretti based on its rating. The place is okay—nice garden. However, the food was disappointing: Zuppetta di pesce – Very small portion. From my experience (7–8 similar orders across Venice), the usual portion is at least twice as big. The soup clearly wasn’t freshly made that day—it tasted off and included what seemed to be frozen mixed seafood. Spaghetti Gamberi – Again, the portion was about half the size you’d get elsewhere in Venice, not to mention in Murano or Burano. The taste was mediocre. It had the same small peeled shrimp as the soup. The service was awful. First, the waiter forgot one dish for a member of our group. When we asked, he said it would take 5–10 minutes. It wasn’t served in that time. When we followed up again, he blamed us, saying we didn’t order the fish properly. He was rude and even took away the cutlery of the person still waiting for his meal. We asked to speak to the administrator—no response. On our way out, we tried to share our feedback with the manager or chef. Same reaction—none. So we paid and left. Summary: I recommend only visiting restaurants owned and operated by locals—they value their reputation and take better care of their guests.

The food was very good, especially taking into account that in Venice it's easy to get stuck in a touristic restaurant where they serve mediocre food. Here everything was perfect: the service, the food, silent place without any crowds, definitely worth visiting!

We sat outside and enjoyed and early but enjoyable dinner while in Venice. My wife and I enjoyed a tomato and buratta to start, and I’d like to add this was actually the best one we’ve had so far during our trip, the buratta was so creamy. I had a simple ragù/pasta and my wife had a prawn/pasta. I think I’d have to try other main dishes before I recommend this place, but overall a lovely evening was spent here with some decent food. It’s worth a try at least and I hope to return to give an even better review

We had a fabulous meal with great vibes. They were able to give me vegetarian meal Upon request. It was really good gnocchi with vegetables. We got tiramisu to finish it off. My son’s seafood dishes were top notch. And I even got a book mark upon leaving. We arrived at 9:30 and were able to be seated right away.

A lovely restaurant in a quiet square with a local neighbourhood vibe away from the crowds. The food from the compact menu was excellent, in particular the pannacota which had hints of rosemary and was finished with freshly ground pepper. Make a reservation as it does get busy quickly.

One of our fav meals in Venice! Found this place through Reddit and it was very much a local joint. Both the seafood tagliatelle and gnocchi dishes were great! I’d probably pass on the sea bream appetizer as it was good but not amazing (wish we ordered the octopus instead). Tiramisu was good as well! Amazing service, vibes, and quite affordable for Venice standards. Love the little bookmark souvenir they give too!

Our pre-airport meal in Venice couldn't have been better! We were searching for an alternative restaurant when a chance encounter with a local led us here. We're so grateful for her recommendation, as the food, service, and atmosphere were all perfect. What a fantastic way to cap off our trip before taking our boat to the airport!

We had a very enjoyable meal at Osteria Alla Frasca! All the seafood was fresh and flavoursome and the pasta was divine! The osteria is in a quiet courtyard away from the chaos of the streets of Venice. This was also one of the best value meals we ate in Venice!

Fantastic little restaurant, the staff were excellent and very attentive, they all spoke English and explained everything brilliantly. The food was just amazing as was the wine. I always try to get the local delicacies and I was not disappointed. I cannot recommend this beautiful establishment highly enough, if you're in Venice you must go!

We stumbled across this little osteria on the way back to our apartment and decided to go back for dinner. Everything was delicious and the staff were great. The atmosphere was typically Italian.

We visited Ristorante Local with high expectations, given its Michelin star status. While the experience wasn’t bad, it definitely didn’t deliver the “wow” factor we were hoping for. The food was decent, but not particularly memorable or surprising. Service was polite but didn’t feel especially warm or attentive—nothing stood out as special. The atmosphere was nice, but again, nothing that really elevated the evening. For a set menu close to €200 per person, we expected a more refined, curated, and emotional journey. It felt like something was missing—whether in terms of creativity, flavors, or service presence. At this level, the bar is high, and unfortunately, Local didn’t quite reach it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Extraordinary Lunch Experience at Ristorante Local We had the most amazing lunch at Ristorante Local in Venice. We chose the 7-course tasting menu with wine pairing, and it was truly unforgettable from start to finish. Each dish was creative, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor — a perfect balance of modern technique and Venetian tradition. The wine pairings were incredibly thoughtful and elevated every course. Alessandra was fantastic — warm, knowledgeable, and even recommended an extra pairing for our pre-dessert cheese selection, which ended up being one of our favorite moments. The entire experience lasted about three hours, but it never felt rushed or drawn out — just perfectly paced and immersive. We left absolutely glowing and couldn’t stop talking about it the rest of the day. A Michelin-star experience through and through.

I visited the restaurant and had an amazing experience! The service was simply excellent, the staff were kind, professional, and always smiling, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I especially loved the open kitchen, the team there is charming, creative, and clearly enjoys what they do. The food was absolutely outstanding! The beet and shrimp dish was unforgettable, and the risotto – without a doubt – was one of the best I’ve ever had. Every dish was beautifully presented, and you could truly feel the love and attention that went into every detail.

This place was an amazing experience on my honeymoon in Venice. When you first walk, we were greeted by the owner and sat at our table. The serving staff had an incredible attention to detail and knew exactly what our table needed before we even said anything. We did the 9 course tasting menu paired with their wine selections. Everything tasted absolutely amazing and the presentation of the dishes was gorgeous. This is a great experience and highly recommend.

My wife and I went here for dinner to celebrate her birthday. It was simply amazing! Very course was an absolute delight. Surprising tastes that you do not find very day even in other Michelin Star restaurants. I am surprised they only have one star. They definitely deserve a second one. The birthday surprise was just the icing on the cake to complete an amazing and unforgettable experience! If you look for something special in Venice you have to come here.

We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary at Local in Venice, and it was the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt cozy, authentic, and full of charm—everything you’d want for such a special night. The seven-course tasting menu was incredible. Each dish had its own story, beautifully prepared and full of flavor, with just the right mix of tradition and creativity. Matteo made sure we felt at home the entire evening with his genuine warmth, and Manuel’s wine and spirits pairings were absolutely spot-on—they truly took the meal to another level. Local isn’t just dinner, it’s an experience you carry with you long after. Our anniversary was unforgettable thanks to the amazing food, the welcoming team, and the care behind every detail. We can’t wait to come back to Venice just to do it all over again.

I didn’t fully research this menu before dining here. For the price, I’d expect them to have more options. There was only 1 meat option and 1 fish option. Minimal seafood and poultry options. There were other random things on the menu including Foie Gras, Eel and Raw Scallops that aren’t exactly items I care to eat. The ambience and service were amazing. I expected incredible Italian food in combination with a gorgeous location and backdrop. I wouldn’t recommend this place as it doesn’t embody “Italian Cuisine” and I probably wouldn’t dine here again unfortunately.

This is an Icon of gastronomy an glamour. You must visit if you are vacationing in Venice! What an amazing staff, great and chic atmosphere! And of course the food is incredible!! Beautiful views of the city of love!

Fine dining on the Grand Canal - a treat on your trip. Located in the Gritti Palace Hotel, this restaurant offers old school fine dining vibes with incredible views, including the huge-domed Basilica Santa Maria della Salute. The food was very good (fried artichokes and sea bass) to excellent (spider crab and Hemingway risotto). The amuse bouche was a tartar of beef - extravagant but didn't impress. We skipped dessert but was still presented with a trio of sweets - a fine way to send off the guests. The friendly service clicked like a clock as various servers brought menus, water, wine, bread and food. We were never rushed and enjoyed the experience fully.

The finest dining in all of Venice. Nothing is compromised, everything is of the highest quality & the timing of the service and politeness of the staff was perfect. Every dish is meticulously put together like pieces of art. Sometimes you may receive a surprise from the chef. Even the olive oil for the bread was unique. We look forward to our next meal here, it was definitely an experiance to remember. Thank you Venice & the staff of Club Del Doge :)

I had lunch at the Gritti Terrace which is outdoor seating. I’m assuming it’s apart of this establishment since the menu is listed online. The food was good. It didn’t knock me off my feet but overall good food. Drinks were amazing! I think I had 4 cocktails. The view is really peaceful..except when the gondoliers start yelling at each other. But after tuning them out you can really enjoy a beautiful lunch. I will say the service was absolutely phenomenal. From walking in the door till the moment I left, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I had a little trouble finding the place. Just kept walking until I seen the scenery then there was a small sign at the entrance. Overall enjoyed it and would definitely recommend as an experience.

My bf prepared the surprise of this restaurant for me because of the amazing view. However…. The partition blocks all the view of the canal, the Basilica across from the restaurant didn’t light up too… so in the comparison to what we see on the Internet, it’s completely different, which is very sad. I believe most of people coming for it. Not having much appetite after seeing what the restaurant literally looks like… only order 2 dishes for each. The starters are very good. I will consider it very expensive because the price is the same comparing to other Michelin restaurants but the food isn’t as great as it. Maybe we shouldn’t come in an early November. Probably need to try in a daytime for cocktails. Service on the other hand is extraordinarily good, but here also charged 14€ for service per person. It’s still very pity that the view looks very valueless… with this price.

Truly amazing! Absolutely breathtaking. I had booked the reservation on the day of my arrival. Unfortunately due to connecting flight issues we arrived much much later than I anticipated. I called and they were very accommodating and pleasant. Luckily they were able to move my reservation to the next day. Well worth it! We were fortunate to have good weather at lunch which allowed for a lovely view from the terrace. Food was superb and staff was very pleasant. All around great experience I highly recommend.

I went here expecting great food and service which at 100+ euro a person, I’d expect. I had reservation already and misspoke the word “prenotazione.” The server corrected me and made me wait even more. Once seated, no one came back for 20+ mins. Tables with later arriving guests came and had water, bread and drinks prior to even a waiter coming back. My wife had to go to the restaurant and ask for a waiter back. Waiter was not friendly and everything was just dropped off hurriedly and left. I requested more water multiple times and server never brought water. I wanted to try multiple dishes to share and the waiter appeared annoyed that i didn’t order more courses. FYI the carpaccio that I read they “invented” is a 3.5/5. The Bellini which I heard they also invented is not worth 30 euros. I will say the pasta I got with baked cheese on top was great. Often times for restaurants like this, the service can make up for a lot. In this case, it was very poor. Next to our table were guests from Jeff bezos wedding and they were famous. They got all the attention with staff coming back and forth. The rest of the regular peons there were ignored.

Pleasant canalside restaurant with the Cipriani name. Food was pleasant and service was good. The exceptional dishes were the tuna tartare and the Chilean Cod. Daniela was an incredible trilingual waitress speaking Mandarin, English and Italian. The front of house was exceptionally helpful with our reservation. The rest of the waiting staff were pleasant. The baked taglioni were nice but very bland and not exceptional as the price tag would suggest. Leave room for dessert, the meringue cake was great! 100 Euros a head without any drinks as we didn't consume any alcohol.

As always absolutely amazing! The location is on a cute and small island overlooking the Venetian skyline. It is right by the water. The service was very nice- friendly and fast. We had two of the meringue deserts and they were both exceptional.

We visited Harry’s Dolci in Venice for what we hoped would be a refined aperitivo experience, but it was a major disappointment. Despite the Cipriani name, the service and setting fell far short of expectations. We were seated at a table that was bare—no tablecloth, no placemats, and to make it worse, it was dirty and wet, while the restaurant side was freshly set. Especially in Italy, aperitivo culture is very diffused, even more so in Venice. When we asked for two cocktails and a few snacks, we were told the kitchen was still closed— at 7pm—and all they could offer were some olives. The cocktails arrived in tiny glasses with mediocre presentation, and the waiter simply dropped them off without a word, no explanation or confirmation. For a place under the Cipriani brand, the lack of care, atmosphere, and basic hospitality was shocking. We left feeling greatly disappointed. This was far from the elevated experience one might expect—more careless than classy.

No doubt a gorgeous location, view, pretty tables, seated promptly, but sadly completely lacking in food quality, presentation was less than mediocre, and very slow service, despite the place appearing well-staffed. Food was way less impressive than the price and name brand suggested. I was shocked, it felt like diner or chain restaurant when the food arrived. I would 100% skip this restaurant and head to a more local spot in Venice. Super disappointing meal for 100 Euro + pp

High-end, exquisite, charming, traditional, luxurious, infamous, high-class and more. Meals are very fresh and almost simple, can't miss the cake and the Bellini of course. Outside seating áreas have a stunning view, the only thing is that this side of the island will never really be in sunlight in the afternoon, which then again makes it less hot for the summer months. Service very good and polite. The only let-down are the toilets, there is one of each and they are rather 'tired'. Thumbs up, highly recommended

We came here for food expecting it to be tasty and high end due to the price but instead got food that was worth no more than a 10er. Flavour of the food wasn't great. The best thing about here would be the nice view beside the water so if you are planning on coming here, have a glass of wine or coffee I wouldn't recommend food .

The only fully vegan restaurant in Venice. We went there twice and tasted most of their menu. The serving size is a little small. The best menu were Lasagna and Parmigiana.

Lovely little restaurant just outside the centre of Venice. Down a lovely quiet street so not so busy. Lovely people, great music and the food is to die for! Going back again tomorrow. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try it out!

The tiramisu was delicious, a rare vegan find! I recommend making a reservation as it’s popular given it’s the only fully vegan restaurant in Venice.

Great restaurant ! Apparently this place has been around for 10 years which is very impressive for Venice, this being the ONLY completely Vegan restaurant in town. As usual, we were so quick with the tasty food that we forgot to take photos of some of the dishes… we got the lasagna and ravioli plus both deserts - all were great but missed taking a picture of the special home made pasta in onions, capers and sea weed - a vegan version of a local venetian dish, which was excellent! Great service - nice and patient, located quiet and relaxed part of town near a water-bus station. Highly recommended 👍

My boyfriend and I went there to have our last dinner in Venice. I was very excited seeing as this is the only completely vegan place in Venice (as far as I know). The food was a bliss, and thought the ravioli were great, for a is the real show stoppers were the eggplant parmigiana and ESPECIALLY the omelette. My non vegan boyfriend praised it highly. The location and service was great as well, the area - not very crowded and the staff - friendly and attentive. I recommend this strongly for everyone who is vegan or who likes to have a little plant based dinner moment♥️

Me and my partner are vegan and we decided to go to La Tecia ( which was the only all vegan restraunt we found) we had a reservation and were 15 minutes early. We were asked to sit in a room with no people in the inside room. We could see that there were multiple seats available on the outside where the vibe was better. This room we sat in had no music and no-one to serve us. The waiting staff was not at all attentive and did not even come back to us after serving our food to check if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. We were probably ignored as they made us sit in a corner. We were not given the appetisers ( bread and olive oil) everyone else was served but us. We had to ask for it. We received 6 ravioli pieces for the hefty price we paid and a small plate of gnocchi. ( we had to go to the store after paying 40 euros on dinner to fill our stomach) And finally no-one came to check if we needed any desserts and we had to go to the counter to ask for the menu again. All in all it just seems like the restraunt is not catering to vegans but catering to a certain genre of pretentiousness where the food is vegan but everything else ( the service, the portion size and expensive for what you eat) is just pretentious

An unforgettable evening at Glam di Enrico Bartolini - a Michelin 2-star gem that truly lived up to the hype. From the first bite to the last, every dish was thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Not a single miss - and many absolute standouts. The service was warm, gracious, and attentive throughout. It was the most comfortable Michelin meal we've had. It felt like we can relax and be ourselves without the pretentious vibe and yet stay elegant! Compliment to the team and how welcoming they are to my daughter! My 7 year old daughter was treated like a princess with her own special pasta (which she said was the best pasta ever!) and dessert, and even got to meet the chef behind this extraordinary meal! One of the best Michelin meals we've ever had - refined, elegant, and full of delightful surprises. Already dreaming of coming back someday.

What a lovely little restaurant tucked away in Venice. After finding our way through a maze of streets, we stumbled across what can only be described as an escape from normalcy in a gorgeous setting. We were promptly greeted by an amazing host who told us we can choose from two different menus or we could simply do whatever we wanted and select dishes from either or both. What fun! We decided to do à la carte and have a little fun. While I swear our 4 course meal turned into something more like 17, we never wanted or lacked for food. At this volume, a couple of bites here and there may have been hit or miss but the reality is overall it was such a strong showing. They also provided a fantastic wine pairing, asking what part(s) of the world you wanted to enjoy! Additionally, they created a non-alcoholic pairing as well. You can’t beat the pairing that came in the most amazing hand blown glass with a kissy fish face. Ultimately it left us with a sense of happiness, fulfillment, and a little bit of relaxation on our vacation to Venice. Highly recommend.

We had a magical evening enjoying the Glam Classico tasting menu. The palazzo is very beautiful. The dishes were outstanding and so lovely to look at. We appreciated the moments of whimsy. The service was terrific and we appreciated the sommelier’s selection of delicious local wines to go with the courses along the way at our request since we couldn’t drink 10 different pairings. We are so glad to have experienced this 2-star Michelin restaurants focus on the local produce, meat and seafood of Veneto. It was a love letter to the region.

Incredible food prepared most beautifully. Impeccable, non-intrusive service. Slightly loud room for six tables but manageable. From the first greeting to meeting the chef on the way out, it was wonderful. The produce from Erasmo was a beautiful centerpiece off the meal. I will go back when I am in Venice.

We centered our entire trip to Venice around dining at Glam, and it was meant to be the highlight of my wife’s 40th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed by the elegance of the setting and the warmth of the service. Our evening began with cocktails in a room fit for royalty, accompanied by a beautifully curated selection of small bites to awaken the palate. We then moved to the restaurant for the main experience and my goodness, the artistry and flavors were simply extraordinary. Every course was a masterpiece, paired perfectly with a wonderful wine recommended by the sommelier. However, partway through the meal, my wife unexpectedly fell ill. The staff could not have been more compassionate or professional. They immediately offered her hot water with honey, a comfortable place to rest in the courtyard, and genuine concern for her wellbeing. When it became clear we needed to end the evening early, I approached the team to pay for our meal and, to my astonishment, they gently refused any payment. Their kindness left us truly speechless. My wife has a genetic heart condition which is usually well controlled, but on rare occasions she experiences atrial fibrillation unfortunately, it happened on this special night. The empathy and understanding shown by the team at Glam turned what could have been a difficult memory into one of gratitude and admiration. Yes, Glam absolutely deserves its two Michelin stars for its extraordinary cuisine and artistry but just as importantly, it is run by people with genuine heart. We will most certainly be back.

The food was good. But the waiting is insane, 20 minutes to bring some coffee and sweets. At least was cozy inside and warm because was raining outside.

Enjoyed stopping in here for a glass of Prosecco and a ciccheti! We had a window/door table that was nice for people watching with a cool shaded breeze. I had the fried mozzarella with prosciutto which was slightly greasy, but the other 3 were tasty!

We were in a need of a break, some wein and pasta. So this was a spontaneous visit. We got all we needed. The service was very nice. the Pasta wasn't wow, but it was good. The Wine was also cold and delicious. So a solid 4 Star.

We went to eat something quick as we were on a boat tour visiting 3 islands. A very relaxed atmosphere but the waiters a bit uneasy with the electronic orderdevices. We got ordered a parmaham Sandwich which was delicious. Unfortunate with cheese si my wife swapped It for my chickenfilet Sandwich which she found lacking of taste.

Average. Waiters are friendly and fast, prices are a bit high. menu is somewhat boring and easy to find elsewhere. Food quality average and ok. Antipasti on display inside looks awesome but is not proactively sold by waiters.

We stopped by this pizzeria during our trip to Murano Island — and what a great decision it was! The location is absolutely beautiful, with a terrace right next to the lighthouse, offering a stunning view. But what truly blew me away was the calzone. I can say without exaggeration — it was the best calzone I’ve ever had in my life. Seriously. It was unbelievably delicious. I devoured the whole massive pizza, and honestly, even now, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. If you ever find yourself on Murano, I 100% recommend visiting this place. You won’t regret it.

It’s a great find when you are wanting an amazing view, great service and yummy food! Portions are huge and I felt bad for leaving it, but if you want to try a little of everything- this place has tons of deliciousness waiting for you!

Food: tasted really good, pizza was fresh and the pasta was on point. The cuttlefish ink pasta is a must order, it tastes so good and it doesn’t have the weird taste that other restaurant has. Seafood risotto was and delicious, the rice is not fully cooked so it has a chewy texture. Service: the waiters were very nice, they were very polite and helpful. Atmosphere: the restaurant is by the shore, the air was great as there was wind passing by. However it was still hot and sunny. You might be sat under the sun. There are also birds flying around all the time, be careful they steal your food!!

We went here for some lunch whilst visiting Murano. The pizzas were really delicious. Thin crust and freshly prepared with good quality ingredients. My son wanted the pizza with French fries toppings! He loved it. It's a great choice if you fancy a light lunch on Murano.

We arrived at this restaurant around noon. We were offered seats outside by the sidewalk. After we were seated other people walked up and were offered seats on the patio by the canal. It was beautiful back there, but in the front where we sat we had to contend with hungry pigeons. Our pizza was really good, fresh and hot. I was a bit surprised at the €2 per person cover charge here as we weren’t offered any bread or water which seems customary. All in all it was a good place for a quick lunch, but be sure to ask to be seated on the patio by the lagoon.

Came here for lunch while we visited the Murano Faro glass factory and ordered 2 pizzas and a capresi salad the pizza was delicious and the salad was okay I’ve had better.

Bad experience! Salad portion is really small for 9 euro. Toilet is filthy and has no toilet paper. Staff were rude to a lady and rejected her request to use the toilet. No idea why this place has 4.6 stars.

Had a Variation of Chef’s Cicchetti and Udon. Plates came out fast after a couple of forgettable bocconcino (amuse bouche). Loved the fresh shrimps but all else, mehhh. I go to Japan every year and food here just not up to standards.

Wonderful Japanese Italian fusion. Staff were friendly, welcoming and were attentive to our dietary needs. The menus makes all allergens very clear. The staff speak English well which helps. The room is smaller and fills quickly with lively conversation sometimes on the louder side however the atmosphere is friendly. There is extensive wines available, beers however non alcoholic drinks are limited. Coke was the only soft drink available. We were offered a tasty amuseboosh to get the meal started. Love the cross over of Japanese and Italian. The eel was really tasty, my partner loved the gyoza. I can definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food was very good. Japanese cuisine make sense for the abundance of fresh fish available in Venice, but the meal was well executed, and felt very special. Presentation was gorgeous and the flavors were homey and comforting, but refined. The chef’s menu came with about 18 dishes, most were a little bite, but also included more substantial plates. Everything was good, I ate all of it. For around €50 it was a great experience. Small, but interesting selection of sake. The staff was very kind and super knowledgeable about what they were putting on the table.

One of those Venetian restaurants that make you feel you are in New York. A proudly international Japanese tavern occupying an old traditional Osteria (the name comes from that old restaurant), they still maintain the old name at the entrance floor. Simple indoors environment and a small outdoor terrace. Friendly service. Chic and young clientele. Small menu. No tablecloths.

Worst experience in Venice. As good as the service was, we had hair in our food and i got the privilege to go home the next day with food poisoning. Food is also very overpriced for the quality, sitting arrangements are cramped and its hard to sit on the chairs fir mire than an hour.

Delicate Japanese cuisine with Venician taste of fresh seafoods. Every dish is nicely presented in a small bite. Very tasty! If you are super hungry, don’t come here! If you are looking for a light lunch or dinner, and change from Italian cuisine, try it! Good selections of wine too!

Awesome experience. The stuff is super friendly. The food is great — a very interesting take on izakaya with Venetian twist. I had the tasting menu, — 19 items, — the great majority of them were perfect.

Straight 5 stars. The food and wine were spectacular but so were the lovely staff that truly brought my last dinner in Venezia to a 12/10 experience. From a wonderful wine recommendation to a peak of the canal from the dock this was truly phenomenal. (Also, seemingly less expensive than dinner on the squares, but far better food and experience!)

Had an amazing time! Delicious food that was specially fashioned to accommodate vegetarian by very talented young chef. 😋 We had a blast with Michaela (very Roman sense of humor) and will come back again as soon as possible.

Exceptional menu offerings: raw fish trio appetizer and duck tortello were flavorful and modern. Smartly decorated restaurant interior evokes a sense of celebrity, but refined taste. Beautiful bar. A great place to enjoy a special occasion or an elevated experience.

Remarkable meal. We had the seafood ravioli, the tuna tartare, and the peach Melba. Each was amazingly fresh and flavorful.

Wonderful food but very poor service, asked for wine twice never got it. Finally asked for the bill, it was wrong, took another 30 minutes to get him to even pay luckily we had euros to just drop and go, also was charged 12 euros just to sit down

We went only to the cafe. The people working there are extremely nice and friendly 😊. Food and drinks are a bit pricey, but it makes sense for the luxurious atmosphere, clean bathrooms, high-level service, and gourmet dishes.

Casual restaurant with an excellent view! Could of be amazing but the need to work in service and food. If the create a gastronomic experience they will be the most popular restaurant in Murano.

This place is stunning. Wonderful ambience, incredible service - and the food is out of this world. If you're in Venice, its worth a trip across the water. This is a well kept secret at the moment, with amazing value for money. Once word gets out about this place, it will be difficult to get a table. Dinner here was a real high point of the holiday. I can't recommend it enough.

I highly recommend Vetri at Punta Conterie if you are looking for high quality service in a lovely atmosphere and have an appreciation for culinary arts. My sister and I stayed on Murano for a few days at the end of November 2019. I’m a huge foodie and we had dined at several great places throughout the trip. We were greeted warmly upon arrival at Vetri; the staff was very pleasant. However, we were somewhat hesitant about what to expect because the restaurant only opened a few months prior and we had the place to ourselves. Nonetheless, I can confidently say we hit the jackpot; it was my favorite meal of the trip. We did the full tasting menu. Each course was beautifully presented with unique flavor profiles and combinations. The main dessert course is one of the best I’ve ever had. The service staff was friendly, professional, and attentive without being over-bearing; they really made the experience special. They were kind enough to open the gallery to us after our meal, despite it being after closing time, so we could view the works of Lino that were on display. This place truly is a gem and will likely grow in popularity as more people experience how wonderful it is. Thank you to the team for helping to make our last night unforgettable.

After a day of traveling to Murano we went out to look for a light dinner. First restaurant we tried had already closed the kitchen, but the waiter suggested to continue round the corner to restaurant Vetri, which turned out to be a really nice place. Spacious and wonderful location, and a delicious focus on taste. For everything we had this evening you first thought was “Tasty”, and the next “Flavor”. Unfortunately I did not take pictures - but will for sure make sure to do so next time. And there will definitely be a next time.

You cannot skip this place while in Venice - Murano. We tried their focaccia and it was one of the best we had. The sweets are also really good.

No frills and not a tourist shop. I had a few bakery items that reminded me my childhood treats.

Incredible. We came here almost every morning for pastries. The focaccia was my husbands favorite. The apple tarts were mine! Get there early for the best selection- they are busy!

Food is fine but not cooked carefully… The meatballs were almost raw (see picture) and the rice of the risotto was very hard. It’s a shame beat cause the taste was good. Waitress was friendly but the service was very expeditive, felt like they wanted us to eat fast and leave fast. Overall I was disappointed.

We went into this restaurant for lunch as it had a good selection of fish dishes. I was very pleased to see they had some local Italian wine to choose from on the menu. The first staff member that served us was very friendly and helpful. Towards the end of the meal another member of staff took our food away and when they came to bring the coffee they slammed it onto the table. It was surprising as we were a mixed Italian / English group and had spoken Italian throughout the meal. The fish was tasty and the texture of the calamari was delicious. Although there were a lot of people here for the cicchetti, the food here was absolutely delicious and was the best meal I had in Italy! The seafood was so fresh and delicious. I didn’t have a reservation for lunch but went around 12:30pm and was able to get seated. Highly recommend the mussel stew which I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of. The squid ink pasta and fried calamari dishes were divine. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Food was great - ordered the spaghetti Alla busara and Frittura mista which came promptly, and tasted fresh. We also ordered a risotto at the beginning which never arrived and when we asked after half an hour, we were told bluntly (without checking with the kitchen) "it's coming". When it hadn't arrived after over an hour and two other tables near us who arrived after our first two dishes came out, already received and finishes theirs, we cancelled the order only to find out it was never placed. The staff were apologetic but we found the overall experience frustrating.

A seriously cool bacaro with an awesome vibe. The food and drink is reasonable and the service good. We ended up staying a while as we were having so much fun.

The reception is very warm and the food is tasty. The staff is very devoted and you create a kind of bond with them. They d still remember you if you come again. I tried it last year and insisted on coming again this year (22 Aug 25). Special thanks to wonderful Emile for his attentively care and assistance and smiles. Samira was the best server! I had a big serving of wonderful pasta. The restaurant is located in a very touristic area, but once you get in, the atmosphere is very authentic and they make you feel comfortable. A nice place to take a break after a long day of walking.

We had just gotten off the train and were starving, so we stumbled upon Trattoria Bella Venezia—and what a find! The staff was incredibly welcoming, and our waiter made amazing recommendations. He suggested the fish, and it was absolutely the best we've had in a long time. We also tried the spaghetti and meatballs and the risotto—everything was cooked to perfection. When we asked for a great wine to go with our meal, he didn’t disappoint. The pairing was spot-on and elevated the whole experience. To top it all off, they surprised us with a complimentary tiramisu for dessert—so thoughtful and delicious! Highly recommended if you're in the area. Great food, great service, and a warm, authentic atmosphere.

The most delicious seafood pasta that I have eaten in my life. The place is really great, and the staff is friendly and so professional. I met the restaurant's owner, and he is really a great man. I enjoyed talking with him, and I also noticed that he really cares about the quality of the food and service. Thanks to this restaurant for making my trip to Venice a hundred times better.

Located on the shore in Venice. Friends of ours, local residents, suggested this place for a good pizza. But the menu has many other options, as for myself I prefer gluten free dishes. No disappointment. Great pizza. Great atmosphere, busy, buzzing! And we had gluten free pizza as well- yoohoo. An obvious gem, which on a hot summer night will be surely super busy. And cozy in winter. Would love to come back if in Venice again. A city worth all its hype and magic.

We went because it's gluten free. It was a great place to sit and people watch (or yacht watch...). Food was very good - we went 2 nights in a row, service was better on the 2nd night but unfortunately it was also extremely smoky from a group table nearby. We would go back for sure but ask to sit upwind to have the best experience.

I’m celiac, the menu has many gluten free options and the staff is very aware about the celiac disease. The restaurant has the AIC recommendation. The two kinds of gnocchi were delicious, the house's wine was very light and fresh.

Food was lovely on arrival in Venice. A glorious pesto pasta with salmon and hazelnut. Limoncello spritz was fun. Service was a bit nonchalant.

Ordered the classic calzone. My friends, who had also ordered pizza dishes, food came separate so I had to wait while they ate. When I got it the top was burnt and they had just poured a can of cold tomato sauce, with no flavor, on it to hide it. The crust was half literal raw dough and half burned to a crisp. The inside was watery with no flavor. Do not go!

Good food with nice outdoor seating. We tried the calzones, pizza and salad. The carbonara pizza was our favorite! The calzones are HUGE! The only drawback was how long it took to take our order and receive our check. The servers weren’t too friendly either, but to their credit, the restaurant was very busy that night. Overall, a good experience though.

For me the pasta with ragu was too oily. The pasta was literally floating in oil. The meat texture was tough and the taste was bland. Here there are not many options to choose from and for us it was between three types of pasta: pasta with ragu, pasta with tuna, and pasta with tomato sauce. It seems like a family business and there were 5 people all cramped up inside the kitchen and it was so crowded that for a bottle of water we had to wait a long time and repeat it and after when we wanted to take a coffee they completely forgot about us and only remembered when we decided to leave without the coffee and they decided they wanted to make money on that coffee and in a sloppy move they offered us the coffee on the counter which was rude. Not recommend.

Friendly restaurant with excellent food and professional waiters. We went there in the evening. The only menu was a Seafood set menu: 50 euro. All plates were very tasty and big portions. Inside was very loud because the restaurant is small and narrow. Outside was a bit cold but that was fine with us. I would love to go back here to have only one or two dishes. It was impossible to make the card payment and we had to look for cash from some of our bags!

I have the fish menu. Everything is great. Food is delicious and the view is great. People are nice, too. I believe that price is also reasonable, compared to so many things that they offer. My only complaint is that... please have a print-out of the menu. I didn't expect the fried fish was coming and I was so full!!! If the logistics is slightly better, the experience will be amazing. With that said, they did help me pack the fried fish so I guess I'll 5-star them anyway.

Great local restaurant right next to the water. Away from the commotion at the city center. Was recommended to me by my local friend who lives in Venice. Food was amazing.

The second to seventh photo is only starters for 5 people. My family and my friends ordered fish fixed menu, it is 45€ for every person. Each of the starters were unique. The octopus was soft with tomato sauce. The fish’s are cold but tasted fishy. Clams were quite good, and the tuna and mayonnaise were very good. Then, we have fish lasagna. Cheesy and creamy. I had a lot of very delicious dishes. recommended but not the best.

Don’t eat here. I was recommended by a friend who lived locally, but as so many reviews warn, this place is a disappointment. It may once have had charm, but that’s long gone. The food is cold, bland, and completely uninspired, while the service is careless, rude, and painfully slow. The wine selection is laughable, apparently the only option is terrible Prosecco, and don’t expect wine glasses unless you specifically ask. Want seasoning for your tasteless food? Good luck, most staff will tell you they only have pepper, and only one particular person seems to know otherwise. The rudeness when attempting to pay was the final straw. I couldn’t pay without a receipt, and thankfully I didn’t - when finally given a card reader, the total was more than my bill, and they tried to overcharge me. Miserable food. Miserable service (apart from the one female staff member who was actually trying to be helpful and smiley - Thank you!). Overall a miserable experience. Don’t waste your time or money here.

While this place is being touted to tourists as a traditional local experience, I would not recommend this place for tourists. The service was abysmal, and being local or even ‘family run’ should not be an excuse. They do not have a written menu, which would be fine if the waitress/owner could be bothered to explain the menu to us. We speak Italian and even then, were only told about the pasta (primi) options and nothing else. We eventually noticed other ‘more local looking’ patrons having meat and sides dishes, but we were not told about it. We were in the dark of the pricing until it came time to pay, and there was no itemised billing, so they could have charged us whatever they wished. The food was fine, but not good enough to make us forget about the poor service and experience.

We had an excellent meal at Al Vecio Marangon last night. We hadn’t booked but after a short wait the friendly staff found us a table. We sat indoors and the atmosphere was cosy and intimate - it was wonderful. Lots of families, couples and friends enjoying company and excellent food. Having struggled with finding good vegetarian options in Venice the choice here was incredible, I think there were 11 dishes to choose from. The aubergine parmigiana is the best I’ve ever had, the purple gnocchi was rich and sumptuous, the spinach and ricotta cannelloni were light and fluffy - my son had the chocolate and pear torte for dessert which was the perfect end to the night.

Lots of vegetarian options. They even had a bowl of bean soup which was wonderful. The artichoke hearts were lovely and so perfect. It was a perfect place in Venice. We got there early around 6 and we were able to be seated. My son had the gnocchi Gorgonzola and he enjoyed it. The desert topped it off. Friendly service and cute vibe.

Our first night in Venice and we were tired due to a full travel day. Our Airbnb is literally next door to this restaurant. We had some pretty bad food in Rome and Florence (some decent food as well but nothing outstanding) so we were not feeling much like eating out and was considering turkey sandwiches in our Airbnb. I am so glad we went out as this was some of the best food on our long adventure… (40 days) Sicily had some amazing food and this restaurant was as good! We ordered Pesto and lasagna to share and I was really hoping the pesto would be as good as Genoa’s famous pesto. It was just as flavorful and the pasta was cooked perfectly. It was a nice touch that the presentation was so nice. The lasagna was equally as good with so much flavor and plenty of sauce - it was awesome! They started the meal with some warm bread and cute little crunchy breadsticks- my husband loved those so much he asked to bring our leftovers home… he never does that. lol. We also had their caramel cheesecake and a chocolate soufflé to split.. AMAZING… such a wonderful way to end a meal and our first night in Venice. The soufflé was everything you’d want it to be, hot, creamy, soft, and just all good! Our service was wonderful, professional and entertaining even. We had a very good meal in a quaint and cozy restaurant.. thank you !!

Perhaps the most delightful and delicious meal I’ve experienced in Venice. Our group of 4 arrived around 5pm and we were able to sit inside. It was cozy but not tight. (There is also outdoor seating.) Our waiter beautifully described each dish we inquired about and was perfectly attentive. The courses were ideally spaced. I cannot say enough about the food— fresh and balanced and truly Veneziana. An absolute gem!

By far the best restaurant we ate at during our stay in Venice. The food was incredible! We waited about 25 minutes for a table, but it was well worth the wait. There's indoor, outdoor and courtyard seating - it was so busy which is always a great sign. The staff were very friendly and accomodating.

Amazing. One of if not the best meals we have ever had. We agreed we could not think of another meal we enjoyed more except for possibly our wedding! If they were not closed on Tuesdays we would have come back for a second time. We will return when we are next in Venezia ❤️

Absolutely delicious food. The waiters were friendly, charismatic and very helpful. The tuna was outstanding. Wish we were staying longer to try more things on the menu! House wine is delicious :)

Overall excellent experience! One of my girlfriends came here for dinner on a family vacation and raved about it. Me and my husband made a reservation while we were on the plane over to Italy for our honeymoon. Their house made bread was so satisfying to start. We got cocktails, red wine, the caprese appetizer (incredible in taste and presentation), the eggplant parm and the gnocchi. Everything was immaculate. We were so sad to be so stuffed to not be able to squeeze in dessert. The staff was so nice, very attentive and timed every course perfectly. Very much enjoyed our experience on our first night in Venice!

Outstanding food in a really beautiful setting! The dishes are creative with a perfect combination of Italian flavors with a twist / every course was a culinary experience! It's a small gem in the heart of Venice - not to be missed!

There are many restaurants in Venice but many are just reheating ready prepared meals, they don’t have kitchens. This one is different it’s the real deal. Went on a Monday night. It holds about 25 people so I’d book in advance. Staff were very helpful even advising me on the best wine to accompany my meal. Food - outstanding and beautifully presented. I had the liver and polenta main course (a local delicacy) and couldn’t fault it. If I came back to Venice this would be my first choice. If you want to go I’d advise booking on line as you’d be luck to get a “walk in” table.

This was the best meal that I had in Venice. The grilled octopus, risotto with prawns, and spaghetti with duck and orange sauce were incredible. The ambience was perfect as a couple but also great for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxed meal. The waiters were friendly, no negatives!

The staff was really diligent and gave us the time we needed to really enjoy our evening at Hostaria Costello. The food was fantastic - our best bite was definitely the eggplant 🍆 parm

We had one of our best meals at Hostaria Castello. They made a vegetarian version of the gnocchi that was outstanding. The parmigiana was delicious and the tiramisu was the best we had on our trip. Service was great, our waiter was attentive and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. They serve their own home made bread. The caprese appetizer was a little disappointing - it's a tomato stuffed with burrata. It looked lovely but was overpriced for a tiny portion. Overall a fantastic choice and we loved our meal!

Tasty little gelato spot in Venice. Not sure if it stands above all the other spots that litter the town but it was great on a hot summer evening.

Tucked away behind a glass shop, this cafe is a good spot for breakfast in Murano, but do take note that their breakfast sets are on the more expensive end and there’s lots of mosquitoes around the outdoor seating. Otherwise, it’s a cool spot.

This place had nothing authentic as food. It is decorated with murano glasses and is located nearby the glass factory. The waitress is very kind and helpfull. Coffie was decent, toilets are very clean.

Little oasis on a hot summer day. We stumbled upon their very cool corridor while trying to escape the summer heat and we were pleasantly surprised by the place. They serve gelato, coffee, cold drinks and yes, spritz

Great service. Friendly atmosphere. Was nice to sit amongst locals chatting away and enjoy the drinks we ordered. Menu looked reasonably priced and food looked lovely but we didn't have enough time to eat.

Ate it so fast we forgot to take a picture. Pineapple and black forest were some of the best we had in Italy.
