Saaremaa Veski, also known as Windmill restaurant, is a popular dining spot in Kuressaare. The restaurant offers a diverse menu and reasonable prices for its dishes. It's located near Ekesparre Boutique Hotel, making it convenient for history buffs staying at the hotel to enjoy a meal there.
We had a wonderful dinner here. The restaurant is beautiful, both inside and outside. The fireplace made the atmosphere very cozy. Food was fantastic. The snack platter for 2 would definitely feed 4 as a starter. Loved the smoked trout and pickled veggies. Fish soup was very hearty and served very hot. It comes with bread so I think it would be good for a main meal. Also very pretty food presentation. Don’t order the birch wine - I was curious what it was and regretted ordering it. Too sweet with a bas smell. Great service. Very recommended.

Excellent place for a meal. Food was fabulous, the staff friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is great. Located in an old mill house and they’ve made the best of it. Price are decent and the quality is superb. Highly recommended.
Peter B — Google review
A gem! Such a neat concept inside the windmill, very well done aesthetically. On top, the service was fast and friendly! On top of that, amazing food. A good variety without feeling overwhelmed. Everything was cooked and flavored perfect. Drinks and Schnapps delicious! We highly recommend and if we are ever in the area again, we will eat here.
IMtrigirl — Google review
Restaurant in old windmill building. Delicious food. Good local beer from barels. Local authentic dessert Kama Curd Milk Foam, was very good. Also a great service from staff. Children friendly place, there is a little play house for kids, our kids adored this thing. Prices were good for what you get at this place. Must visit place in Kuressaare. Reservation recomended, can be very busy at weekends.
Jānis V — Google review
These were the best meat dishes we’ve had in Estonia. Although we’ve been to many steak restaurants and were able to choose the cut and cooking level, we’ve never enjoyed a meat experience this much. We ordered both beef and lamb from the menu, and the chef absolutely nailed it perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The accompanying garnishes and sauces were also excellent. The place itself is already beautiful, but the fact that the food was this delicious truly surprised us. Highly recommended from the heart ♥️
Elif A — Google review
Visited in Sep 2025 Saaremaa Veski is the most popular restaurant to visit in Kuressaare as per all online searches, as the restaurant is located in the windmill and has been in operation since 1899. Ordered the cheese balls for starters and the Trout for the main course. The food was quite good and the portion size was just perfect. Also tried a couple of Saaremaa local beers, including a home made beer by the restaurant. All in all, given the history and folklore about this restaurant, this place should be on your list to visit for a meal if you’re in Kuressaare.

Didn't have a fish at all. I asked the waiter if there any fish at all available and he said that we didn't receive any fish today so unfortunately we dont offer dishes with fish today. It was dissapointing. Great cocktails. Dog-friendly place
Kelly V — Google review
Aside from the obvious delights of having dinner inside a windmill, this restaurant offers a very pleasant atmosphere, featuring a lovely selection of Estonian music. There were only a handful of vegan/vegetarian options, but I very much enjoyed my Windmill Bowl.

Vinoteek Restoran Prelude is a delightful culinary destination that invites guests to indulge in an exquisite selection of wines paired with authentic Saaremaa cuisine. The menu showcases the finest local seafood, including fish like salmon and perch, alongside game meats such as deer and wild boar. This charming eatery offers a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying delicious dishes crafted from fresh, regional ingredients.
The food was incredibly fresh, with many dishes based on local products. The selection of wines was very good, and the service was warm and welcoming. We went for all three courses: from excellent oysters as a starter to beautifully crafted desserts. It easily exceeded expectations and was better than what you'd find in some high-end restaurants in other parts of Estonia. A true hidden gem for a fair price!
Justyna P — Google review
I highly recommend this restaurant when you visit Saaremaa. Both waiters are friendly and very fun to have conversations with. The food is amazing, totally worth the price. The interior is cool and has really special characters. We were seated right next to the book/wine shelf. Such a cozy corner.

A very beautiful spot with a great vibe — two floors for wine lovers and cigar enthusiasts. There’s also food available, making it a perfect place to spend an evening. We really enjoyed our visit and were very happy with the sommelier’s recommendations

The venison was amazing! Very good flavor and melts in your mouth. I wish I was staying longer, I would definitely come here again!

An absolute must if you're in Kuressaare! Food, service, atmosphere... everything 10/10. We ordered oysters for starters among with some champagne, and then flounder and boar as mains. Delicious. I'd say this is the best food we've had on our trip. I really recommend this place!
E K — Google review
I’ve been here first in 2016 and again in 2025, and was happy to see everything remained the same, great cuisine and service, and the rhubarb dessert was one of the best desserts I ever had, a tiny masterpiece. A must-go while in Kuressaare.

Warm, inviting ambience with a good variety of dishes. I enjoyed everything I ordered and the service was very friendly.

Amazing place! Highly recommended! On Wednesday night in the beginning of June we hopped in and were positively surprised:) The atmosphere is great, especially on the ground floor, with candle light, food was tasty and served nicely. People working sincere and just lovely. Wide selection of wines. Every dish goes with a suggestion of several wines.

Pizza Takeout
Castello Restoran Pizzeria is a popular dining spot located on the main street of Kuressaare in Saaremaa, Estonia. It has been featured in the White Guide for several years and is known for its upscale yet locally beloved status. The restaurant can accommodate around 120 guests across its two floors and an additional 120 seats on the spacious summer terrace.
This place was suggested by a local resident. Excellent customer service and food. Our waitress was attentive and very pleasant. The pizza crust was amazing and our grilled lamb and chicken were cooked to perfection. The prices and the ambience are great! Highly recommend!
Yulia L — Google review
I can say with confidence it was nice pizza. A bit on the slow side for my liking. They had a decent beer and wine selection, which was enjoyable. We had a few different pizzas to try, but the garlic bread starter absolutely stole the show. It was my favourite dish that night with some margin. There isn’t much I can say about this place. It is a safe bet. I’m sure there’s other places around that could be good, but this one is too.
Peter L — Google review
The restaurant is pleasant and in a very good location, the terrace is on the road and also on the other side there is a large courtyard garden! The food is delicious, the honey tigerprawns was great, but the deer carpaccio was a little too salty, maybe the pickled mushroom juice is to blame! My Prawn Pizza was the bomb, 9 tigerprawns! The service needs a little work! The waiters needs to look after his tables!
Mairis K — Google review
The food was delicious, the prices were great, and the service was super friendly. It was so cozy to sit here and enjoy a meal on a cold day. Next time I’m in Saaremaa, I’ll definitely come back!
Ana C — Google review
3,5 points. Our dinner left us with mixed feelings. The chef's appetizer platter (meat and fish) was nicely presented, and the meat was good, but the two types of salmon tasted stuffy and old, like taken from a luke warm vacuum pack. The tiger prawn pasta was of average chain restaurant quality and nothing special to remember about. In an Italian restaurant one would also expect to see more than one pasta dish on the menu. On the other hand, the trout portion with grilled veggies and potatoes was very tasty. Service was ok, and the atmosphere pretty basic.
Tuula V — Google review
The duck was delicious! Very friendly service in a nice, cozy restaurant
Martin K — Google review
The food was really good but unfortunately the two pastas that hit the table were quite different. One had more sauce and fish and the other one had less of the both. The portionsizes for the kids meals were good. What surprised me were the drinks under the Mocktails and when I asked what they have in them then most of them were just tonic water or consisted of juice and tonic. How can you name something a mocktail when it's just cherry tonic? Maybe the waitress just didn't know herself.. Unfortunately the waitress needs a little bit more training.

Ristorante la Perla is a well-known restaurant in Saare County, offering a delightful dining experience. It is often mentioned as one of the best spots for lunch and dinner in the area. The restaurant is praised for its fresh seafood selection and delicious cakes, which blend Saaremaa and French cuisine. Visitors rave about the amazing quantity and quality of food served at Ristorante la Perla, making it a must-visit dining destination in Kuressaare.
Excellent choice for dining. Best of food, service and atmosphere. They are celebrating their 20th year and it is no surprise that they are still successful. Salads and pasta were excellent.

Beautiful little gem on the main street of Kuressaare. The servive was very good, friendly and meaningful, the food was made with love and according to the individual choice, good selection of wines as well.

Hidden gem amongs orher restaurants. Really good food, absolutelly tasty and well made. Even in rush hour every meal was perfect and made with love. Service was really amazing, friendly and fast. Best salmon and shocolate foundant I have ever had so far.
Kristjan V — Google review
Not worth the money. It's terrible when you order ice tea for 4.5€ but all you get is fuze tea in a bottle. Lamb chops were cooked really bad - ordered medium, got 1 piece rare and 3 pieces well done. Left more meat on the bone than ate. Salmon was cooked great tho. Creme brulee sugar was bitter in some spots, and in some spots not melted. Guy sitting next to us got his salad still frozen. Service was good.
Ģirts K — Google review
Very tasty seafood pasta with chili and plenty of garlic. My companion's pizza above average. Nice atmosphere. Attentative and efficient service.
Tuula V — Google review
Highly recommended: service and food, but... It is better to go inside or into the winter garden behind, as the number of people (in the whole Baltic region) who drive expensive, flashy, show-off luxury cars, turn their ‘music’ up to full volume and terrorise the rest of the population is significantly higher than in Germany. The speed limit on the street in front is 10 km/h, but the noise level is often unbearable. Added to this are the many small, very loud mopeds. The service and food are exceptionally good – especially in the Baltic States, in our experience.

Restoran Arensburg is one of the 13 restaurants participating in Saaremaa Restaurant Week 2024. Located in the old part of town with free parking, it offers a unique dining experience in a building that was once a city court, adding historical charm to the meal. The restaurant boasts a stunning terrace and attentive staff. Dishes are presented artistically, featuring amazing local fish and healthier options like sweet potato fries.
I had a lovely time at the restaurant with a cool ambiance that made the experience even better. The food was amazing, and the staff, especially Mikk, was incredibly attentive, checking in frequently to see if we needed anything. The complimentary beetroot bread was absolutely fantastic—so good that Mikk even brought me another round! I found the food here to be even better than at Saaremaa Veski.
Jacob A — Google review
Spent the evening enjoying amazing food and great service! I had the Arensburg burger which was delicious and for dessert - Crème Brûlée that pulled everything together. I was served by MIKK, he’s an absolute sweetheart and always made certain that we were taken care of 🫶🏼 Can’t wait to come back!
Leini M — Google review
We stayed at the Arensburg, and one of the best things about the hotel is this restaurant. We tried the sharing platter which had a selection of local treats. My wife still talks about this platter even though we visited months ago.
Dave B — Google review
The service was sloppy and the food was mediocre. The mocktails and mixed appetiser platters were great. The gnocchi with tofu was not great. The tofu was not cooked at all. The atmosphere was cute and there was a band playing.
Amanda — Google review
We stayed at hotel. Walked around the city and found out that our hotel restaurant could be the best choice and it was! Local food. Good service. Calm atmosphere. Suiting in the garden and enjoying the best of life. After dinner - spa and hotel room was very comfortable. Yes!
Mila I — Google review
For ala carte restaurant, it was quite ok. Place and deciration was 5/5, staff 5/5 but service overall a bit slow. Food was good tasting but too much going on at the plate. Wine ok, but selection only two wines for just one 15cl glass. All other choises only for whole bottle. We used 60€ for two persons.
Teppo S — Google review
Had a wonderful time with family here. Restaurant is located in the old part of town with free parking, in the building that once was a city court, that added an unusial feelings and a nice historical touch to our dinner. Absolutely gorgeous terrace and friendly, caring staff. Dishes were served with a sense of art, local fish was amazing and our daughter enjoyed healthier version of french fries made from sweet potato. Thank you for pleasant experience and energy recharge for the rest of the day!

Chameleon Lounge offers a relaxing atmosphere with smooth chillout music, making it the perfect spot to enjoy nourishing meals and cocktails. It's a versatile venue suitable for families, friends, business meetings, and events. The lounge features a playroom for children, ensuring an inclusive experience for all. While some guests enjoyed the beefsteak and mozzarella sticks, others wished for more variety in the menu such as spicy snacks. Despite this feedback, many praised the excellent service and reasonable prices.
Salmon is really tasty, pork steak excelent and pasta like in Italy. I'm recommending this restaurant on 100%. Many other options!!!
Daniel Č — Google review
What a nice looking place. Went with my wife for evening light supper. We sat down and ordered some snacks and a salad along with some drinks. The ambiance music was nice. Alas that was all: drinks came out 15 min later, and then we waited, and waited and waited. Well, to cut it short the fried snacks came out 60 min later and arrived half cold. Yes, you read correctly: fried and cold. Hmmm, my favourite! The salad took 90 minutes with some gooey pink stuff. They must have gone to the farm , grown the lettuce and milked the goat to make the cheese because otherwise one can't explain why they took so long. Where the other tables eating? Some, but most where drinking. So, all in all, the kitchen staff should be sent back to school or sent to the most remote island in Estonia. Price wise... well for what we had and what we paid, any restaurant in a Med resort you can have a full blown meal. So, not cheap. Do yourself a favour and skip Chameleon cafe if you want to have a good experience.
B L — Google review
If it were possible, I would give 6 stars to EVERYTHING! We were so pleasantly surprised! At first glance it seemed like a ‘café,’ but in reality, it felt more like a restaurant 🤩 The food was simply amazing, the service personal and everything was perfect! Cozy vibe, atmosphere, and interior are all on point, plus the music selection – a truly complete experience. Highly recommend the starters: grilled goat cheese salad and for mains, the beef fillet with white wine sauce. There is also a spacious playroom for kids and the café is pet-friendly😍
Anna-Liis A — Google review
Pleasant visit inside the week! Amazing apple cake with icecream! Good music selection and nice plants around.
Rauno S — Google review
Not much to review here. Bland pad thai, tom yum soup was too sweet, but chicken wings were just right on spice. Unremarkable. But strangely, the bread was absolutely fabulous. Worth a visit just for that.
Tomas K — Google review
We were visiting this place three times in three days. Food was delicious, and coctails also were good. There is a seperate and nice room for children to play and spend time. Good service and very nice atmosphere. Prices ar very adequate for what you get at this place.

Ku-Kuu Fish Restaurant and Guesthouse in Kuursaal offers a relaxing atmosphere with a 20th-century charm and summery interior, making it an ideal spot for food enthusiasts. The restaurant serves dishes made from local produce with a hint of French cuisine, catering to vegetarians as well. Fresh fish is featured daily, sourced directly from the market or local fishermen. The menu includes various catch of the day options, both filleted and whole fish, cooked to perfection.
Beautiful fish restaurant with nice and fast service. Great view of the castle, but sadly it was a little too windy when we visited. The atmosphere inside was great regardless. A bit on the pricier side, but the fish was great and our teenager enjoyed the chicken pasta. Nearly everything there is locally produced. A nice dinner place to eat at after visiting the castle.

Amazing restaurant! Fish dishes are spectacular! We especially liked the whitefish tartare appetizer. I’m still thinking about how delicious it was! We tried a couple of local fish and the duck. All delicious. I really liked the eel. It’s not something I would typically order, but it was so tasty. They also have a great wine selection. Highly recommend sitting on their outdoor terrace to enjoy the views of the castle! We also stayed at the guesthouse. Comfy spacious rooms with mini fridge. No AC, but there’s a good fan and based on the cool weather in Estonia, you really don’t need more than that! Can’t wait to come back!

We had a delicious super fresh fish! If you are only in Kuuresaare for one meal, I would definitely choose the Ku-Kuu Fish Restaurant.

The food is excellent, with a changing selection of local fish. The staff is welcoming, calm, and knowledgeable about the menu and surrounding area. There are great castle views from the terrace, making it a family-friendly spot. Thanks

Ku-Kuu Fish Restaurant on Saaremaa offers truly fantastic food and a beautiful setting. Unfortunately, the overall experience was affected by somewhat unprofessional and slow service. When I asked the blonde waitress which fish she would recommend for my son, who doesn’t like strong fishy flavors, she raised her eyebrows and replied, “So you want fish, but without fish taste?” – which came across to me as unnecessarily sarcastic. A professional server would respond differently. Although several other waiters were standing around the terrace, none of them showed any interest in our table. Everything was left to that one waitress, who was not very attentive and came by only occasionally. Overall, the staff felt indifferent and disengaged. I also didn’t like that at a neighboring table, a seagull picked at leftover food, and yet no one came to clean the table before new guests arrived. It’s a shame, because the excellent food and surroundings truly deserved better service.
Josef B — Google review
We received friendly and knowledgeable service with a great selection of local delicacies. The service was calm and swift, and we enjoyed wonderful views of the castle. The place was also welcoming to kids. We sat on the terrace in early September. Thank you!
Adam S — Google review
We came here for lunch with our four children. Good food, all of them liked it. Maybe portion of the fish could be a bit bigger for childrens menu, but overall experience was nice! Didn’t stay for the night here so can’t give feedback about accommodation. 🤗

Visited Ku-Kuu Fish restaurant in Sep 2025. Did not stay at the hotel/guesthouse The restaurant is a fantastic place to have a “dinner with a view”. Located just beside the Kuressaare Castle, the restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, with the outdoor seating offering lovely views of the castle and its moat. I had made a reservation, but the restaurant was very empty when I arrived. Therefore, I would assume it’s fine to do a walk-in during the month of Sep. Decided to try as much local fish for my dinner and hence ordered the whitefish starter and the “catch of the day” main course. There were quite a few options for the “catch of the day”, and I chose the Flounder as that’s the in-season fish for Sep. The dish actually comprised 3 flounders served with some potatoes & veggies. Absolutely loved the Flounder fish main course, and I’d strongly recommend it. I did not have any drinks but there is a long drinks menu too for those interested. Service was absolutely fantastic and the restaurant staff constantly checked on me if everything was alright. They also gave me complementary bread at the start of the meal. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and the view. Would strongly recommend visiting this restaurant for dinner if you’re in Kuressaare.

Georg Ots Spa Hotel is a serene spa hotel with a restaurant, three pools including an outdoor one, and stunning views of the gulf. The 4-star hotel is situated just 50 meters from the yacht marina and the beach in Kuressaare. It offers a tranquil atmosphere for guests to relax and rejuvenate. With its convenient location and range of amenities, including a spa, this understated hotel provides an ideal setting for a peaceful getaway.
The coziest and most kids friendly spa in Estonia! Great program for kids in school vacations, warm spa, delicios food (we especially love the breakfast buffet). My kids are 13 and have been having vacations here since they were only 1,5 years and they still say ita the best spa 💖
Liina V — Google review
I was very surprised to learn that the hotel was built in 2004. Its style is precisely how I'd imagine 'workers' luxury' to have looked like, had the Soviet system actually worked to produce such things. I adored everything -- from the Spartan, green toilet with a yellow light tube and a 3/4-wall mirror to the sea-blue, floor-wide carpeting, understated ceiling lights and warm wood surfaces. The style is unique and highly consistent; the only offender in my room was a white 'Ikea chair' that clearly didn't belong. Waking up inside an art installation is naturally soothing for the soul. In practical terms: although not too bad, the sound-proofing could be improved. Bike storage is very small and there is no proper support for bikes without a stand installed. Not sure if the staff took it or one of the guests, but my breakfast disappeared from my table when I went to get some juice! Maybe tell the waiters to tone down their eagerness a little bit, just in case. The breakfast itself was standard hotel fare -- with warm orange juice and no gluten-free bread option. The lines were badly organized and directly in the way of people entering / exiting the breakfast area. The spa was nothing to write home about, and will likely get crowded during high season. The main draw must be the various treatments, which I didn't try this time. The 5 stars come mainly from the interior, which is phenomenal [there should be a way to review such 'uniqueness' separately].

It was a holiday we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of with our 11 month old baby. The staff were attentive and helpful. The massage therapists were excellent, though the facial treatments could be improved a bit. The restaurants offered a delicious open buffet breakfast and tasty options for other meals. However, the menu selection was a bit limited and could benefit from more variety. The swimming pools, sauna, steam room, and especially the outdoor pools. which were the main reason we chose this place. were clean and more than sufficient. Our room was also well equipped, clean, and lovely.

🤩 AMAZING hotel in a special place 🤩 📍 Let’s start with Saaremaa itself, what a wonderful island. So peaceful and beautiful, the castle nearby GOSPA is really nice to walk around. The hotel is right next to the sea and a very short walk (5 min) to the castle and grounds. 🏨 The staff at the hotel are so accommodating and friendly. The hotel itself feels spacious and feels homely/comfortable to be in. It does cater very well for kids - for food, high chairs, kids rooms and spa/pool access. Our little one had a great time. 💡 Tip: Upgrading to the 5th floor is worth it. We paid 50EUR per night to upgrade and you have so much more space for the family. 🍴The evening food at the hotel is very nice. It’s not a huge menu, we stayed for a few nights and it was perfect, but if you stayed longer you would want to explore the restaurants around too (and they are many well rated). We had a wonderful time here - a big thank you to the GOSPA for making it so enjoyable. 👏🏻

Charging money for the most basic hotel slippers is ridiculous. Slippers should be in the room and free of charge, like in any 5-4 star hotel (as GoSpa claims to be).

The hotel is large and spacious. The room is cozy and clean. Beautiful view from the balcony. Breakfast selection is normal. The spa area has swimming pools, saunas and a jacuzzi. The city center is about 18 minutes walk away.
Silva K — Google review
Beautiful hotel, the location was super. I was overwhelmed by the chef plates and the breakfast. The spa area was big and amazing, we had so much fun there! Probably the best hotel to book in the area with a sea view. Also a walk by the seaside in front of the hotel is a must!

Pritsumaja Grill & Bar is a charming pub located in the heart of Kuressaare, named after a fire station that dates back to 1868. The cozy atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for hanging out with friends and enjoying generous portions of delicious food. While some find the alcohol prices a bit high, others praise the excellent customer service and tasty dishes like chicken burger with kimchi and vegan burger meal.
Fantastic Schnitzel and appetizers. Great place to people watch during lunch. Highly recommended if in town.

Great experience. Great vegan option! They have menus in English, waiters are very nice. Food was yummy. 10/10.
Karissa — Google review
We ordered four meals - two schnitzel, one salad, one salmon. The salmon was not served until everyone else was ready. The waitress was service oriented and friendly but had to take all the blame. We negotiated a discount but that's it. Don't come here to eat. But it's a nice place for a cold beer.
Claes N — Google review
Old fire station with terrace overlooking the main square, so we enjoyed some live music that was played in the square from the terrace. They have some estonian and european beers on tap and bottles, but nothing too exotic. Service was super slow when you wanted even your first drink, so taking one star off that. I wish you could order from the bar if you are thirsty, but impossible! Did not try the food this time.

Waited for food a bit to long. Portion size good. Fries perfect. The rest food was nice, but nothing incredible. For lunch/dinner is okay

Excellent customer service. Perch was crunchy and tasty. Bruschetta was garlicy and nice! Vegan burger meal was also very tasty, a bit chilled, but good overall 9/10 for the whole dish. We highly recommend. Very good value for money!!

Resto HAFEN is a charming and cozy restaurant located in Kuressaare Harbour, offering a delightful dining experience with a view of the sea. The restaurant has been recognized by the White Guide multiple times and is known for its emphasis on local products and fish dishes. Guests can enjoy their meals indoors or on the sunny and sheltered terrace. The ambiance is described as maritime-cosy, with friendly service and an excellent selection of drinks.
We went there by chance as it was close to our hotel. The menu is quite extensive, and it’s the perfect place to enjoy delicious snacks with an excellent selection of wines while watching the sunset over a stunning view. The main courses were also delightful. The waiters were fast, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave great recommendations.
Elif A — Google review
Great location, nice views and good service and interior design. Sadly the prices of the food and the quality don't quite match. This is an expensive place in the local price range and the food was just ok, sometimes good. Snack plate looked very crafty, but there was too little bread and way too much cheese and not a lot of meat, the mix was unbalanced. Steaks were ok, pasta was ok, but nothing was truly great. I'd take my money somewhere else

Just amazing. The restaurant feels very cozy. Especially upstairs. We had three courses. I would absolutely recommend the duck breast. It was on point and served with a blood orange sauce. The langoustine soup was good but the broth wasn’t really rich in flavor. However the buckthorn ice cream was again fantastic.
Werner — Google review
Restaurant-worthy dishes made with fresh catch, a wide drinks menu and a true seaside dining experience. In summer, the terrace offers a stunning sea view and the perfect place to relax. A big part of the menu highlights local produce and goods from Saaremaa, making every bite authentic and full of flavor. From my side, I highly recommend the venison fillet, šnikurs and the sea buckthorn mojito Since some tables are quite close to the counter, it was easy to overhear the staff’s conversations and complaints about everything, which isn’t exactly the nicest thing to hear as a guest

Cozy place, amazingly tasty food, polite service. Food was really good, we took a fish plate for starters and bao. We came without a table booking, while the place was fully booked, the polite waitress provided us an option to wait a bit by the coffee table. We got a table in 10 minutes, however it is pure luck and I would recommend to book a table in advance especially on weekends or in high season.

Nestled in the heart of Saaremaa, Restoran Alexander is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This elegant establishment, named after the last noble owner of the manor it resides in, boasts a spacious interior that flows into a charming winter garden with stunning views of lush parkland. The tranquil atmosphere sets the perfect backdrop for savoring dishes crafted from local ingredients, each beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.
We did the Islands’ Degustation Menu and wine pairings - such a lovely way to experience the islands cuisine! Our waiter (Pedro) did a fantastic job guiding us through the experience.

Couple days ago my boyfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful Cuisine dinner at Pädaste Manor to celebrate my birthday. From start to finish, the service was professional, attentive, and friendly. The dishes were carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and the flavors were simply incredible. The use of local ingredients added exceptional value, making each bite even more delicious and unique. The setting was peaceful and beautiful — a perfect environment for a special evening. Thank you for making my important day unforgettable. I’m already looking forward to the next time.

Uljana P — Google review
Pädaste is less a hotel and more a carefully managed asset class in the Baltic luxury index — where rustic charm is securitised, landscaped, and sold back to you at a premium. Here, pastoral authenticity is curated with the precision of a private banker rebalancing a client’s portfolio. The food? Nordic minimalism, plated with the discipline of a central banker balancing the last basis point. Service? Calibrated for optimal distance — just enough warmth to merit the invoice, just enough cool to remind you it’s not your manor. The real market mover is the champagne list: priced as if liquidity were a rare earth metal, with every glass a reminder that in certain asset classes, bubbles are the point. Is it worth it? In nominal terms, no. But as an IRR — Illusionary Return on Romance — few investments are this handsomely overvalued.
Tei K — Google review
Disappointing food and service compared to the rest of Estonia’s fine dining experiences. Quality has gone down. We wanted to try the 5-course menu, but ended up taking 3 courses as the employee forgot to introduce or ask about the menu options. The level of service was average - waiters didn’t ask feedback after courses. The cheesecake had a very strong animal taste to it. The rest was okay. Overall, price for 2 people for 3 courses 227 euros, incl. two glasses of Sauvignon Blanc (18 euros each), water serving 16 euros. Also, if you are not staying there, the parking was an issue as you are not allowed to enter with a car. From positive side, private and secluded place.
Hanna — Google review
Extremely tasty, cooked with local ingredients. Beautifully served cuisine! Expensive (dinner: 5 courses 90€ or 3 courses 70€. Plus drinks on top) You can try chef's table - nine courses 130€. Reservation is needed. We really enjoyed the experience

This is a great spot for some drinks. The terrace is beautiful, lots of flowers and view of the castle and the water… very comfortable seating in the lower part of the terrace. Very good service. We tried their cheese balls and they were delicious, better than we tried elsewhere in the town.

Me and my partner wished to treat our two friends while visiting Saaremaa, our friend strongly recommended this place, especially for the portions, we obliged. REVIEW: LONG story short: The service was really bad, almost non existent. The waiter in charge was rude and less than happy to be there, which he didn’t fail mention to us. The food itself was fine, I had the smoked cheese soup and my partner had the pork with bacon wich were quite fine but the fish and chips were disappoiting + the portion was small. The “fish and chips” was made with trout which was a first for everyone involved. I wouldn’t go there again. Choose another place to spend your money, because they really dont appreciate it. Atmosphere gets a 3 because of the beautiful castle side location.

They have a really great place & the outside terrace is nice during the summer. But..they lack service orientation which is sad. Food was average good, but it would be nice to have a waiter to bring the menus or even take the orders from the table or was this a normal way there?

Kodulinna lokaal is a fantastic place to dine with helpful staff, particularly Karoliina. The food is exquisite and the ambiance is stunning. They offer a wide variety of dishes and our family enjoyed three evenings of deliciously served meals at reasonable prices. The cozy atmosphere and excellent service enhance the dining experience, as we savored their chicken breast and salmon for just 25 Eur. This establishment has gained our love and appreciation thanks to their attentive and friendly staff.
We were just looking for a place to have some late dinner, but this place just blew our minds. The food was amazing, the atmosphere great, waiting time was really short. We felt like on cloud 9, again, the meat is so juicy and portion sizes amazing. Recommend!!!

A great place for dinner and not only. Helpful staff (special and big thanks to Karoliina), wonderful food and beautiful surroundings. Large selection of food. Our family had dinner here for three evenings. Everything was served nicely and was delicious. All for a reasonable, not big price! Our family recommends!
Žilvinas L — Google review
I don’t know what people are recommending about this place but it was horrible. I ordered a classic mojito and you can see the picture that it was just water with ice, a few leaves of mint, a spoon of sugar and had no taste whatsoever Mediterranean soup had a lot of vegetables and fish (salmon) and a little bit of broth. That was more like vegetable and fish mix with a little bit of water on top rather than a soup. The soup came with bread WITH MAYONNAISE instead of butter We also ordered a cheese platter and that was just one cheese variation and looked kinda sad Pasta with seafood was overcooked I hope this review will help owners in improving their service and recipes

By far the best cafe and bakery in Kuressaare! So many tasty sweet and savoury treats. The coffee is strong - hint if you are looking for a flat white just ask for a small cappuccino with two espressos. The poached egg on toast is a light but excellent breakfast with options for bacon on the side. They also make quiches but only full ones to order. Very friendly staff even though they don’t get many English speaking tourists. Highly recommended!

Disappointed Experience Unfortunately, my visit to Vanalinna Kohvik didn’t live up to expectations. Great service, great tasty local fresh fish dishes and fresh lemonades. Keep it up the same level of quality! We had a great time at your place after a long journey and a visit to a cool lighthouse! We ceme just before closing so there was quite a lot places where to sit. This place is dog friendly so we could come in with our dog with ņo problems. Menu is not huge, but the dishes there cover quite a big variety of foods (burger to steak). I had white fish soup - it was creamy and a bit spicy (as advertised). I loved this one. As a main I got catch of the day which was a gar fish. Hadn't eaten it ever. It was prepared tasty, not much sides on the plate but overall I was full after these two dishes (one of each would not be enough for me). My partner took the pork belly with fries. The meat was tender and delicious. Also we took a traditional dessert - kisel with caramelised flaks. Tasty, nothing too fancy. Main place itself was quite nice. Great view to any side. Indoor and outdoor seating. Staf is polite and helpful. Toilets however are a mess, a bit smelly and needs renovation and you need to ask for the key to use them.

What a great place, the food and the beer just hits the spot. 👌 We were immediately greeted, our orders taken and everything happened fast and smooth. We had the chicken and pork skewers, cheese balls and raspberry pannacotta, all of which was delicious. The pannacotta was not overly sweet = perfect. The skewers had just enough salt and smokey flavour, sides were just right. It's clear the staff is well trained, hospitable and the place has all its cornerstones in place. The service wasn't that slow (we've expected much slower service based on the other reviews). The omelette with cheese and veggies was too watery and... too cheesy (and I'm never saying no to cheese!). The interior is not recommended for animal rights campaigners (stuffed animals everywhere you look). The tea situation is particularly sad — a small cup which wasn't even full with water.

Nestled on the picturesque Muhu Island, Muhurito is a must-visit outdoor eatery that brings the vibrant flavors of Mexico to life with its tantalizing burritos and tacos. Drawing inspiration from cherished family recipes, this legendary street food spot prides itself on using fresh local ingredients. Open during the summer months until 7 PM, it’s an ideal pit stop after your ferry ride for delicious meals, including standout vegan options and crispy sweet potato fries.
Good place with good athmosphere to have your dinnet or lunch. Really recomend the tacos! Skip the ferry food and come here!😉
Marko ( — Google review
The rate is not very high due to some issues with the food. The lamb meat in the burrito was cold, which isn't ideal for this fatty meat. They were out of fish and chips, beef, and local lemonade, which was disappointing. Additionally, the lime chicken in tacos had a distinct and unnatural taste, in my opinion. However, I appreciated the interesting approach to advertising and outdoor decorations.

Cute restaurant with mexican food. Food was really good, we enjoyed. I was actually surprised that there is mexican style restaurant in such small island. Good vibe and friendly staff. Interesting salsa with pickles in it🤭. Over all 5/5!

Very good burritos! Fresh ingredients and good amount of choices. It would be good idea to have also a version of pico de gallo without cilantro for people that have the soapy tasting-problem! However, these were the best burritos on my trip so far, good balance on fillings and you can choose the level of spicyness.

Lovely little place in the Muhu center. They offer some of the best burritos and self-made lemonade I've ever tasted. Stone oven pizzas are made right next to Muhurito aswell. Service was wonderful and the employees were very kind. Overall an amazing experience, would definitely recommend!

Awesome place open in summer months till 7pm. After crossing the ferry this is a must stop for fresh burritos with amazing vegan burritos. Also the sweet potato fries are great. They share the area with another fresh wood fired pizza place and you can get both and share. Definitely recommend to eat here after crossing the ferry or before you take the ferry from Sareema. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.

Nestled in a picturesque setting, Pädaste Yacht Club is a charming restaurant that offers an inviting atmosphere and stunning views of the manor and sea, reminiscent of southern Europe. The menu is simple yet satisfying, perfect for a leisurely lunch with friends or family. Diners can enjoy a delightful selection of dishes paired with an impressive array of drinks. Even on less-than-ideal weather days, guests find themselves lingering longer to savor delectable desserts that exceed expectations.
Just wonderful! Beautiful place, tasty food. Simple menu, not complicated (though it's absolutely enough for lunch), perfectly cooked and delicious. Good selection of wines. The waiters made my day, polite, communicable, these young ones obviously were doing their best. Recommended to visit for lunch.
Marjatta T — Google review
As someone who values refined hospitality and thoughtful design, my recent visit to Pädaste Yacht Club was deeply disappointing. What should have been an elegant, tranquil experience by the sea turned out to be a confusing, uninspired, and frankly uncomfortable encounter. Visually, the space has no charm whatsoever. The décor is utterly devoid of style or character—an incoherent mix of bland, forgettable elements that fail to create any sense of atmosphere. Most jarring of all is the seating area: cheap, cafeteria-style furniture that feels completely out of place in a setting that aspires to sophistication. It evokes the ambiance of a roadside fast food stop rather than that of an exclusive yacht club. The cocktails were no better. Tasteless and unimaginative, they lacked balance, depth, or any hint of craft. What should be a highlight of the experience—sipping a well-made drink while enjoying the view—was reduced to a disappointing afterthought. Adding to the confusion is the park entry system at Pädaste Mõis. Guests are required to purchase entry tickets, which can later be used as credit toward food or drinks. While this may appear practical on paper, in execution it feels cheap and transactional. Instead of offering a seamless welcome, it forces guests into spending just to reclaim their entry fee. This approach not only creates unnecessary confusion but also undermines the very essence of high-end hospitality. Whoever implemented this system clearly lacks an understanding of what luxury service truly means. In a region known for its natural beauty and growing standards in tourism, Pädaste Yacht Club stands out—for all the wrong reasons. The experience felt mismanaged, misguided, and far below the expectations of any discerning traveler. A regrettable visit, and not one I plan to repeat.

Place is beautiful. Great food and great service. Why it's called yacht club is something we didn't understand as there are no yachts and no pier :)
Sten K — Google review
Great place, a well cared for and green area, with picturesque views from the terrace of the restaurant. A good selection of drinks, with a broad list of dishes to complement them. Everything ordered was delicious, the service was also great, polite, and attentive. Even though the weather was not good, we still wanted to stay longer, ordering deserts, they too were incredible, surpassing our expectations. Overall we enjoyed the atmosphere and cuisine
Andy R — Google review
I would recommend to come here only for the environment - beautiful garden, nice view to the sea. Menu is totally overpriced. Foods are mediocre at best. Service was diligent, but still not good. Also a lot of loud and rude talking was heard inside the kitchen. Read other reviews and one said that the coffee machine was broken (was written 11 months ago) and it was broken today as well. You would expect a lot more from this type of restaurant.
Janar J — Google review
Horrible service and overpriced food. Could hear waitress and the chef arguing in the kitchen. Far beyond from luxury.
Lagle S — Google review
Absolutely worth the visit. Beautiful Manor Park with a view to the bay, cozy sitting and great food. A visit with friends or family will always be greatly rewarded. Allso possible to arrive with a boat that isn't very deep in the water. Can't wait to return
Pedro P — Google review
I sincerly hope that todays experience was due to corona. Food was just terrible. You charge premium (13€ for a burger with fries) and serve the lowest possible result (the cheapest bun money can buy with a warmed up frozen beef patty, a tasteless and colorless slice of cheese and ketchup). The same goes for all the other dishes as well. Please stop serving food until you get your kitchen sorted out.

The modern industrial decor, complete with warm wooden accents, creates an inviting atmosphere that's perfect for any occasion. The attentive staff at Omnom Söök & Jook are known for their professionalism and friendliness, ensuring that every visit is enjoyable.
I got this restaurant recommended randomly on my travels around Estonia. I will have to say they went over expectations and really impressed me. I had duck as a starter and omnom burger as main. The first looked like a Michelin star plate and the burger is possibly the best I have ever had at a restaurant. The staff was pleasant and I felt they had time for every customer yet i never felt i had to wait. The restaurants interior felt modern and spacious.

Amazing restaurant with excellent food! The interiors are modern, industrial and looks fantastic with all the wooden details. Toilets are super clean and looking good! The staff is nice, professional, kind and works fast. The place is very dog friendly. The beef tartare was by far the best we ever had; very good quality meat, nice dippings and a cool idea with putting some hot sauce next to it, in case someone would like to spice it up a bit. Fish and chips very good; the fish was soft and not dry. The ribs were amazing too - the meat was very juicy and tender. Everything was perfect!!

A MUST-visit when in Kuressaare! We were completely blown away by the food, coctails and the atmosphere of the place. The food was excellent and the portions were BIG. We ordered the smoked salmon as a starter to share and the portion was more than enough for 2 people. We had the ribs and tacos for the main course and they were both absolutely amazing. 10/10 points and will visit again soon!

Excellent service. The shrimp tacos were the best I've ever had. The ribs were also excellent. Very generous portions and fast service.

Perhaps it was our choice of food that was to blame, but the food dod not bring the expected joy ( fish was very oily and the fries were overcooked). Burger was good. Drink prices seemed too high for the food. And I was disappointed that they didn't offer some small local beer ( only Saku).

This is the best restaurant in Estonia. Not in Saaremaa… in all of Estonia. The food is always amazing and once you get to expect it to be great and new menu comes around and you know it will be great you are still surprised how good it really is. Pick any position form the menu and you won’t be disappointed. We live on the island more than 2 years and tried most places here and thanks god OmNom opened here. We are literally almost everyday here for lunch. The menu changes every few months so you should visit often to get to try everything ;) The service is really lovely, caring and professional. 😍 10/10, will visit again 🏋️‍♂️

This looks an auberge with large variety of foods and meals in the Estonian tradition. You can eat inside or in the garden in peace and respect of each other’s. Price is very reasonable: 25 euros for 4 people , each having a dish. No real parking but you will find a room for your car along the road. You can add a large garden with playground for children and they enjoy it! Recommended for sure

(Translated by Google) Never again to this place!!! The food does not match either the price or the quality. We were not even offered a refund after refusing the food that was brought to us. Pay for what you don't eat and still pay. Well, how is that? Simply put, the scariest thing I've had to deal with since the 80s. I attached a picture called pasta with chicken and tomatoes. What a great place to go for a meal. And what a meal it was !!! You can go fishing and what you get they will smoke or grill for you. They charge by the kilo. It's a bit expensive but so worth it as you get so much out of it. We tried fishing for half an hour but caught nothing so we just asked the staff and they took one out with the net. 2.3 kg and it was big enough for 4 ppl. We just had fish but you can add potatoes and veg to it and if someone doesn't like fish there are other options also. All so good !!! It has a beautiful little lake and also there is camping. You can book them for 2 or 4 or even more. I've stayed there twice couple of years ago with different people and all of them loved it. So if you ever in Saaremaa go there for sure!!!!!

We checked into a B&B about 15 Minutes away very late on Sunday evening. There were no other restaurants open nearby so we did this little trip and I can tell it was worth it. Good but expensive. On top of the food (2 main dishes, 2 beer, 2 wine = 60 Euro) we had to pay 20 Euro to stay with the motorhome overnight, although they don’t provide any service apart from electricity.

Before ordering such meat, they also ask about the degree of doneness of the meat, but in our case, this was not done. The meat was overcooked. There were only 5 of us in the restaurant. Chameleon Cafe is a delightful gem that transcends the typical cafe experience, offering an ambiance more akin to a charming restaurant. Visitors rave about the exceptional food and personalized service, creating a cozy atmosphere that's perfect for any occasion. The interior design and music selection enhance the overall vibe, making it an inviting spot to unwind. Diners highly recommend starting with the grilled goat cheese salad and savoring the beef fillet with white wine sauce as a main course.

Cafe Mosaic in Estonia's Baltic region is a well-sized cafe that lives up to high expectations. Despite a limited menu, the dishes are well-prepared, fresh, and delicious. The Perch is perfectly cooked and there's a great selection of tea and coffee. While the choice of cakes and desserts is limited, the overall dining experience is satisfying. The Kuressaari pork belly stands out as an exceptional dish with perfectly prepared food presented beautifully at a great price.

One of the best meals I've had in my trip to the baltic countries. The food was delicious and abundant, and the atmosphere was cozy. I recommend taking the fish, it is fresh and delicious. I won't recommend ordering a lot of dishes, since the portions are big enough to share.

Great local food. I especially loved the potato cutlets (they deceptively look like sõrnikud). Incredibly slow service though - it’s not even that the queues are long, but one has to order at the counter, and each order seemed to take an incredible amount of time to process (a lot of chatter involved). After having the order placed though, the food was brought to the table in a prompt manner.

Excellent auberge to have a local meal. Nothing sophisticated but good is enough. Order at the bar and be served your meal on big round table in some private room where others would envy you to be. I arrived at 2:30pm and still was served, having a lunch for 4 at 40 euros. Quiet, good and resting. Then went in the garden to enjoy grass and summer tables. Very good time Easy parking, garden and a church close by for the view

New unique place in Kuressaare that surprised me pleasantly! The vibe is great! Though they were out of Beyond burger, I was able to find something plantbased from the menu and the waitress was helpful and positive! Uljana S — Google review
One of the most disappointing stays ever We stayed at the Grand Rose Spa Hotel for a few days in July 2025. The room we got was facing a big noisy street and was the stuffiest room I have ever been in. Once we asked the receptionist about air conditioning, she politely told us to air the room by opening the windows. Since our room was facing the street, we could not do that while sleeping. Once the windows were closed, the temperature in the room quickly rose and there was not much air to breath during the night. We also checked for the ventilation, and were not able to find any. I wish hotel management tried to sleep in this room for just one night and had guts to tell me they had a good night sleep. In the morning while having a shower we discovered the door of the shower was broken so the whole bathroom was flooded. What’s more, the dump air from the bathroom filled our stuffy room, and the whole room started smelling pretty bad. We asked the hotel stuff to clean the bathroom while coming back from breakfast. The room got cleaned around 3 pm, and the cleaning basically comprised of emptying the dust bins 😀 By this time this hotel felt like a joke. During our dinner we were just looking with my husband at each other saying we don’t want to go back to our hotel room with no air. During the second night the room was even hotter. Anywhere around 2am we woke up telling each other we just want this night to end as soon as possible. Have no idea who gave this hotel 4 stars. I am pretty confident even 2 star hotels have some air to breath. Luckily we had a very nice time in Kuressaare with lots of walks and great food. We are sure to come back and enjoy more of Kuressaare but never at Grand Rose Hotel Spa again.
Julia K — Google review
Extremely Disappointing Experience We stayed at the Grand Rose Hotel for one night with our family and were deeply dissatisfied with both the room and the reception staff’s attitude. We booked three rooms at the same price, but my partner and I were given the worst room, completely separate from the rest of our family. While their rooms were on the 2nd floor, ours was on the 1st floor with windows facing the street. This meant no privacy unless we kept the curtains shut the entire time. The condition of the room was unacceptable: • The wallpaper was damaged and had drawn-on lines. • There were spiderwebs, and the room smelled bad. • The shower door was broken, causing the bathroom to flood when we showered. • Unlike our family members, we didn’t even receive complimentary water. • Noise was a constant issue—everything from other rooms, the street, and upstairs could be heard clearly. The spa experience was equally disappointing. Hotel guests weren’t given lockers, so we had to take our robes to the pool area, where they were taken by other guests. Breakfast was chaotic, with no cutlery or cups available. When we brought these issues to the reception staff, they simply said they were aware of the problems and offered no solutions or apologies. The lack of compassion and customer service was shocking. We will not be visiting this hotel again and can’t really recommend it to others either.
Christina K — Google review
Very weird and a bit outdated design. Rooms were clean, but shower door did not close properly and bathroom got flooded each time. The glass partition between bedroom and bathroom was unnecessary. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They are the best feature of the place.

Review is for the spa. They have seven different saunas, some better, some worse, but enough good ones so you can enjoy variety and not get bored. Steam sauna was excellent and the salt one was very interesting. Sadly some saunas had disturbing music or even TV. They also have outdoor sauna with patio and some sauna rituals in the evening that we did not attend. They have all the basic pool stuff and even some not basic stuff, so very nice in that department too for the price. The restaurant is seamlesly integrated so you can order food and drinks with your wristband. Strawberry and orange water available for free, that stuff was way better than just plain water.

they took a very long time to prepare breakfast, incredibly long, we had already drunk juice and coffee and waited for a long time, and it was just eggs, avocado and salad, nothing special. They found extra coffee on the bill, which we didn't drink, and they didn't bring the juice. So we sat in a nice courtyard and that's good

⭐ Lovely restaurant for lunch ⭐️ The food here was great - very tasty, healthy and fresh. We went here with our 18 month old (they have high chairs) and she loved it too!! The people were very friendly and welcoming. Thanks for a great lunch :)

Very tasty food and surprisingly many vegan options! We had lunch there and ordered the vegan bowl, the banana pancakes and the peanut butter blondie. I highly recommend the vegan bowl, it was delicious. The service was also great, the waitress was attentive and kind:)

Extraordinary food and atmosphere in one of the oldest buildings of Kuressaare. You'll love it for sure.

This is a wonderful eatery. We came for dinner and had the Mexican chicken appetizer, cauliflower steak, grilled fish, peanut butter Blondie and a turmeric latte. Everything was really tasty! And sitting outside in the evening was a great and relaxing atmosphere. The menu has clearly labeled gluten free, lactose free and vegan dishes, and I think there are enough options for any dietary need. I know we’ll be back at least once before we leave!

Absolutely fabulous restaurant with great vegan options! They have a nice outdoor seating area. Got a cauliflower based vegan dish which was absolutely incredible. Also tried a local beer from Kuressaare, really enjoyed that. The staff was very courteous. Highly recommend this restaurant in Kuressaare!

Nestled in the heart of Kuressaare, Söstar köök & baar is a delightful culinary gem that showcases the rich flavors of Estonia. This charming restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for enjoying fresh local dishes. Diners can savor an array of delectable options, from shrimp salad to the traditional deep-fried mulgi kapsad paired with succulent baked pork. The experience is enhanced by the serene ambiance created by a nearby fountain and even playful jackdaws that add to the charm.
This restaurant is a really lovely place! It feels very cozy and welcoming inside. The service was excellent – everyone was so nice and friendly. We really enjoyed the food, it was delicious! And the cocktails were also fantastic. It's a great spot to relax and have a good time. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant experience with tasty food and drinks. We'll be back for sure!

The restaurant is good, with a pleasant atmosphere and very nice service. The food itself was decent and quite tasty, but not perfectly prepared - it was rather dry. For the price, I feel the dishes were overpriced. Additionally, the cost of drinks was very high, considering their quality. For example, tea costs €6 for a pot, which contains just tea bags (two tea bags, to be precise), not loose leaf tea. This seems excessively expensive. Overall, while the place is not bad, I would say it’s more of a one-time visit rather than a place I could strongly recommend.

Very tasty food and lovely atmosphere ❤️. As someone who is not a big fan of pumpkin soup usually, I really loved the taste of the one they serve here. Especially we would like to note a great service from one of the waiters, Andres.
Elizaveta J — Google review
Best dining experience in three days. Great place in city center with a really nice location. Very open and friendly staff. Local snack platter was excellent start, following by warming pumpkin cream soup and ramen style soup with pork belly. Chocolate brownie with salted caramel was delicious and all we wanted for evening like this.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. The service, food, and ambience were a delight. We tried the pumpkin and shrimp soup, beef tartare, pork and mulgi porridge, pike burger, and noodle & pork. Our favorite was the pumpkin soup. The lemongrass and ginger infusion along with Thai spices were a heavenly treat. The other dishes were also really good. I do wish the broth in noodle & pork bowl was more flavorful. Wonderful experience nevertheless. The servers were very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We came 3 days in a row bc we liked the Food a lot. We tried almost all Snacks on the menu. We loved all of them. Main dishes also could make us happy. Everytime was Great just one thing : for the pork belly came Kind of Mayonnaise and nothing Else , in our opinion it does Not fit in. When we told the waiter answer was: some people Like ,some Not. But why Not give other options if they know some people Don t Like. But this was only a small thing to say

We had the absolute pleasure of dining and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The food was nothing short of exceptional. The service was equally impressive, with the staff being both friendly and attentive, making the experience feel genuinely warm and welcoming. The highlight, however, was the stunning view of the town centre, which added a perfect backdrop to the already wonderful atmosphere.

We had a really good experience in this restaurant! We went for dinner, we shared beef tartar and “Sea and Land” place , starters was good and plate was creative, made of local products! 🦈🐄As a maincourse we choosed Fish and chips - was very good! We had wine bottle of Chapoutier Les Meysonniers, was really great ! 👍⚓️ ❗️But there is small minus, when we finished our Fish and chips, we wanted desserts, but 22:15 kitchen was closed , even for desserts! Okay, I would have liked, that waitress would come over and ask if I would like dessert, because the kitchen is closing soon! So we went to Vinotek for desserts and desserts wines! See you next year !!!

If you're looking for a delightful dining experience in Kuressaare, look no further than India Express. With a menu featuring everything from spicy noodles to comforting rice meals, there's something for everyone. The service is friendly and attentive, ensuring that any mix-ups are swiftly resolved. Guests rave about the perfect spice levels and the inviting atmosphere, especially when dining al fresco with lovely views of the central square.
Everything about India Express was excellent. Very well located and delicious food. We sat outside with nice views to surroundings and central square areas. After a day exploring this was a very nice way to end a day.

First time in Sareema and visited India express with a party of 7. Food was great, service was amazing though the waiter mixed up our order but that was quickly rectified. Spice level was perfect too. Definitely recommend!

We ordered curry chicken and the atmosphere was not good. We got the chicken but had to buy rice for extra payment. The food was ok but they microwaved our rice. The naan bread was bad and came with a mayonnaise. Over priced place you will find a better one at the same square.😕

Had the chicken in garlic sauce and crispy honey chicken. Both were sweet, the honey flavor was a bit strange for me. The wait was really long, but the service friendly.

A great place for lunch-dinner. Prices range from 5 to 12 euro for meal. We good rice and noodle meal with soup, it was delicious. Staff is very friendly and can make spicy dishes less spicy.

Amazing place. The food is very tasty, price varies from 5-9eu per meal. We ordered rice with meat and vegetables, Tom Kha soup and spicy noodles with chicken and garlic. One meal is enough to fill you up, so given quality and quantity of food the price isn't expensive. The waitress is very friendly, speaks english, very helpful, we wanted less spicy noodles, so they came perfect, not to spicy yet not too mild. They have english meniu option. I highly recommend this place.

Warm and welcoming service (despite the waitress mentioning that she’s new, she did a great job and was attentive and professional). Enjoyed the food, especially seafood pasta (rich in mussels, shrimps, excellent sauce)and prawn salad. Tiramisu tasted like heaven, such great balance. The coffee had a slight bitter taste, but still enjoyable.

Absolutely wonderful place. The lamp is cooked in the very right way, spaghetti carbonara reminds you or Italy, lamb livers were amazing, as well as the fish. And Tiramisu was magic Place with the very personal touch and chef Sandro. Strongly recommend.
Jaanika M — Google review
In short- would not recommend for pastas. Ordered seafood pasta, the portion was ok but the taste and structure were not up to the level. White wine taste was very-very dominant, seafood was very noticeably overcooked. Pasta itself also seemed to be either very low quality or poorly boiled. The service was very nice and friendly but they forgot to bring us the water we ordered.

Monk Restaurant offers a satisfactory dining experience, although some customers have noticed a decline in the quality of their honey chicken. It is not as crispy as advertised and has even been described as "soggy" on occasion. However, their Tikka Masala comes highly recommended and is considered very tasty and delicious. Wio Burger is a small fast food kiosk situated on the highway leading to the famous Cerve peninsula in Saaremaa, Estonia. Their menu primarily consists of fast food options such as classic beef burgers, fish and chips. If you're in search of a quick meal, this place is worth trying. The burger itself was satisfactory, although the spicy variant lacked sufficient spiciness. The sweet potato fries were delicious and generously portioned.

Nestled in the heart of the town's main square, WAAG restobar offers a cozy atmosphere that invites you to unwind. The interior design is charming, creating an inviting space for diners. While the food has its hits and misses—like the delightful perch and grilled cauliflower contrasted with average squid and seafood pasta—the overall experience remains enjoyable. The attentive staff adds to the warm ambiance, although they may not be well-versed in recommending dishes or drinks from their menu.
Very good host, friendly and attentive. First course was excellent and therefore the second course didn’t wow us as much. Dessert was good also. All in all the drinks and courses were good with overall atmosphere being cozy. Will visit again when in Kuressaare.

Asa Spa Hotel in Kuressaare is a delightful retreat nestled in the historical district, just a stone's throw from the vibrant Spa Hotel Ruutli Water Park and iconic landmarks like Kuresaare Castle. This family-friendly haven offers simple yet comfortable accommodations with stunning views of both the castle and bay. Guests can indulge in rejuvenating spa treatments, including massages and facials, while children enjoy their own play area. The hotel also features a heated pool and wellness center for ultimate relaxation.
The hotel gets 5 stars. The room was modern, with a TV, fridge, kettle and heated floor in the bathroom. Breakfast was really tasty, even had a good coffee machine so you can make espresso or capuccino. The location is perfect, with good parking and a good view. The Spa, on the other hand, could be better, it has more of a sporty vibe. Spa has 7 saunas but one was not working, 2 saunas are good, hot ones 85 and 100 degrees but others were too weak, weak steam and weak scents. There are plastic chairs and beds but no chill corner where you can relax in peace. The 25 meter pool is good to use in the morning before breakfast.
Jekaterina L — Google review
We stayed there for 2 nights. Hotel has a great view of the Castle and a small walking distance from the main square. The room we stayed was quite cold at first so we had to turn on the radiator. It seemed that the fan in the shower area didn’t work and all of the moisture stayed there or went to the bed area. Leaks from the shower head as usual in hotels. Otherwise the room was good with plenty of space. The massages we had were good and the Spa area had plenty of saunas. Pool area was often crowded with people coming to trainings unfortunately. The restaurant was okay, small menu but good enough for lunch or dinner. Breakfast has good selection of foods, wish that fruit selection was a bit better.

Kapten’s Körts & Restaurant is a delightful spot that exudes a vibrant atmosphere, especially on evenings when live music fills the air. Picture yourself swaying to the tunes of talented musicians performing Estonian country and chansonette melodies while enjoying a glass of their exquisite mulled wine, crafted with real red wine and spices. The culinary offerings are nothing short of spectacular; from tender deer meat and divine potato balls to crispy fish and chips, every dish promises satisfaction.
A nice place with its own lively atmosphere. It's especially pleasant that on some evenings, live music is played, and you can dance if you find a suitable partner.-) During my visit, a skillful musician/guitarist and singer performed Estonian country and chansonette music from 10 PM on Friday. Surprisingly, they served very pleasant mulled wine made with real red wine, Vana Tallinn liqueur, spices, and nuts/fruits.

Would not recommend going there. The meat was overcooked and chewy, actually tasted like it was already made before, just warmed up later and served. Advertising with "fresh Saaremaa fish dishes" and "local fish dishes" is misleading. There was only one fish dish, salmon, which didn't seem very local. The only thing in addition to the fish was baked bell pepper (tasting well), pesto (?) and a lot of rather tasteless white sauce.

Total highlight of this summer. Very nice service and the owner found time to chat with everyone which was very cool because there where a lot of customers. The atmosphere is really nice and children have their little playground close by. Food was amazing. In addition to a delicious and juicy pizza you get a small cute sauce for pizza crust that makes eating the crust so much more pleasant. The fries were nice as well. The prices for that kind of quality were actually pretty low. It was a very fulfilling and pleasant meal for that price. Highly reccommend. It is worth a visit.
