Grill & Fish is a delightful eatery situated in the heart of Jurmala - Jomas Street. The establishment offers delectable cuisine and efficient service. One can relish their signature lava cake, which is truly delightful. Although on one occasion, the service fell short with young waitstaff who appeared inexperienced and confused, resulting in delayed orders and neglectful behavior towards patrons.
Very good hearty food and generous portions. The salmon was moist and delicious, vegetables fresh and crunchy. The beef cheeks dish was also very good. Tender beef, tangy and soft sauerkraut, nicely roasted potatoes. Also really liked the tomato sauce served with it. The Sicilian style sautéed veggies were great. The cod was a bit dry but still ok.
Overall a really good hearty lunch in a chilled atmosphere. The restaurant’s terrace was cool and airy, a good place to rest on a warm day.

I had high expectations of this place, because we once met an owner and he seemed as a nice and welcoming guy. Service wasnt good at all - there werent many people, but we waited at least 30 minutes, while somebody took our order. All that waiting time, we heard that staff were cheerly chatting. I even considered to leave this place. And they noticed us before, since they gave to us menu. I hoped that food will be splendid, since we waited so long. Unfortunately not - my boyfriends fish was dry, mine was mediocre and with few fish bones. Visit at your own risk, maybe you will have better experience
Good place for a seafood meal. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and nicely prepared. The atmosphere was relaxed, making it a pleasant spot to enjoy seafood. Service was attentive and friendly, which added to the overall experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving a satisfying seafood meal.
Hi everyone. First of all, do remember I am not like "riebus katinas, "uzkalnis" and etc. Am real for real. So...
Place really nice, old style, very nice. Basically itsclike fish and chips cafe. 100% of german and uk people, at least at the moment. Prices are ok, keeping in mind that it's Jurmala centre. Fish and chips, mini burger with chips small bear and a small cocke 30€. Food is not 100%. Fish not exactly what we expect, bit to salty, chips hand made, burger, can't say mini, mince is defo beef, not bad for a quick bite. Beer is good.
The meat in our dishes tasted old, which made it hard to enjoy the the meal. We expected fresher ingredients, especially for the price. We would suggest checking the supplier or storage methods to ensure freshness. The staff were polite, but the food definitely need improvement.
Pork ribs with french fries, (sterilized?) onion and salad were amazing, big portion, kind staff. Ribs weren’t dry and those fries were really good!
The flavours in general were good, refreshing lemonade and well balanced dishes with fruit/veggies. The restaurant wasn't the cosiest but I don't have any complaints.
The waitresses weren't the most attentive, kind of just brought your food then disappeared to go laugh with each other at the back.
The restaurant is a bit pricier, I would probably try something else next time in Jūrmala.
Out of company of 5, 2 found the place and the food very good and 3 found it good enough. There menu is bigger than usual, but they delivered on everything that we had. I would not say that the food was something to remember, but there was nothing to complain either.
I would say its a safe option for a bigger company due to the long menu. If you want smth special, perhaps this place is not for you, but otherwise - a solid choice.

Laivas Restaurant is a fantastic establishment that offers delightful Latvian specialty dishes. The cuisine is mouthwatering, and the friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere for both children and dogs. Situated right by the water, it boasts a perfect location. Furthermore, this picturesque spot at the Jurmala riviera provides exceptional service and food quality. Traditional Latvian desserts are not to be missed, especially the one made of black bread and chocolate.

If you visit this place, be sure to try out their desserts, especially the napoleon cake was rather extraordinary for us. 10/10
However, all the other food was ok, nothing special. The eel cutlet was unique, the sauce it came with (orange:carrot and sea buckthorn and green: broccoli) made it very interesting and unusual, would try again.
The pâté was also rather unique and something we never tried before so it was interesting.
Overall, I would say it’s overpriced for the food you get there. You are paying for the view and “luxury” experience as they have unique dishes that can’t be found elsewhere which makes them stand out.
Honestly I would find other places nearby and eat there, you will get a much better experience for a MUCH lower price. Mind you, we paid 150 euro for 2 people and there are other places where you can eat for 2x less and still enjoy the food much more!
If you are looking for an extraordinary experience with unique food, then I would recommend this place, however, if you are just looking for a place to dine in, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
Wonderful place! Has some great Latvian specialty dishes, everything was delicious (so no pics of the food, was gone in no time) and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Both our kid and our dog felt very much at home. Perfect location-wise too, right on the water. We had a lovely time, thank you!
The food was not ok, we made the staff aware and agreed on another course - but they still charged us for the first meal when the invoice landed.
I complained about this when paying but my claim was simply rejected by the waiter.

One of the most picturesque spots at the Jurmala riviera. Food quality is on its top. What’s pleasant there are enough local dishes and beers.

For the doctors congress, where dinner costed 100 eur pp they serve wine for 5 eur a bottle- “espiritu de Chile”. Sad- I am wondering what quality ingredients they use.
Nice & cozy place for nice dinner experience right by the Lielupe Riverside. It has small pier and a little Riverside Park for those visitors, that could be looking for romantic atmosphere. Also they offer rich Sunday brunches, but you should book your attendance at least day before. Waiters are real professionals with perfect sense of customer needs.

The restaurant Gan bei - Jūrmala in Tallinn is definitely worth visiting due to its affordable prices. The waitstaff, although predominantly Russian-speaking, are attentive and knowledgeable about the food. The presentation of the dishes is visually appealing, and their kids menu is both a hit and adorable. Additionally, the restaurant offers speedy service with the option to have rolls served on separate plates and choose when each meal arrives.
A nice asian experience by the Baltic Sea right in Jūrmala!

Seated to a table and the staff honestly could do with some lithium batteries installed in them. Horrifically slow and no menus offered after being seated for 15mins. Had to get our own. Then after another 15mins we had to ask for someone to take our order, we were then met with “I’m not your server”. No inclination to signal to another server or at least ensure someone would come back over to take our order.
Honestly I wouldn’t bother visiting, went somewhere else as it was surely a sign of things to come. If you want to go for food and would enjoy serving yourself and cooking your own food then this is the place to eat.

I would definetelly visit this place in Tallinn too. Nice prices. Waitresses new russian, can't say anything about english tho. Waitress was really caring , knew a lot about the food and was very precise. Food was presented really nicelly , kids menu was a hit and looked really cute. Food came in fast , there even was option to put rolls on different plates and choose when your meals come in.
We ordered one set of sushi, however it took an hour to prepare. There were no much people tho to have excuse for long waiting time. Taste of the sushi was good. But after long waiting didn’t enjoy much. Comparing the prepare the meal and service asking bill and paying was super fast 🤔😑
15 minutes after sitting, nobody had taken out order. We had to chase for it. Another 20 minutes later, the drinks hadn't arrived. We had to chase for it. Full hour after ordering food, and chasing twice, food started arriving. Half the food was cold, clearly had been left around and forgotten. Then had to chase for the bill. Food was good, but the service was terrible, really terrible, and no apology.
Had chicken and eggplant. Was wonderful flavors! The green Jasmine tea was perfect.
Good food, nice service, staff was friendly and had really good memory 😀 sadly, they do not had sushi deserts.

A good bakery — affordable prices, great quality, and friendly service. It’s takeout only, but that makes it perfect for grabbing something on the go. This was the best food experience we had in Latvia. It’s a very good Georgian restaurant. The meat was amazing and there were also good vegetarian options. Their way of cooking was very good and authentic. The service was perfect. The orange wine was so good that we bought a few bottles to take home. Totally recommend this place for a nice and special dinner with friends.

We have been clients of 36.line Grill Restaurant since around 2008 and over the years we have returned many times, enjoying the wonderful beach location overlooking the Baltic Sea. This summer, however, our visit was a little disappointing.
When ordering wine, I expected the usual high-end service - to be shown the bottle and offered a taste, but instead I was simply brought a glass. That left me uncertain whether it was the wine I had ordered. The food presentation was beautiful, but the taste lacked flavor, so I needed to add salt and pepper myself.
On a positive note, the dessert and coffee were excellent, and the staff were kind and welcoming, which helped finish the evening pleasantly.
This experience will not prevent us from visiting again when we return to Latvia, but I hope the restaurant can bring the dining experience back up to the high standard we remember from earlier years.
Exquisite little gem on Jurmala’s beach. Booked the restaurant for a small family birthday dinner and could have not been happier. Attentive service, welcoming staff, delicious and interesting food, soft ambience all on the beach. Loved the experience, the consistency in delivering great quality and flavors through the whole menu, from starters to desserts, and would definitely come back for more.

We visited 36. Line on a Tuesday and were absolutely blown away — so much so that we returned the very next day with a big group! The entire experience was exceptional.
Chef and founder Lauris Aleksejevs is truly outstanding. Not only is he incredibly talented in the kitchen, but he’s also a warm and engaging host who speaks over five languages — which made everyone in our group feel welcome and at ease.
The food? Unforgettable. Every dish was unique, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. You can tell there’s passion and creativity behind every plate — we genuinely couldn’t stop eating.
If you’re in Jūrmala and looking for a culinary experience that stands out, 36. Line is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back

Cafe 53 is a charming spot with a great location, especially enjoyable during sunny days in spring or autumn. While the food isn't exceptional, it's still decent. Some visitors have noted that their meals were served cold, but the Kiev dish stood out positively. The staff could be more welcoming, but overall, guests have enjoyed their visits. One highlight is the professional service provided by Katja, who offered excellent recommendations and made the experience memorable for some patrons.
Nice spot with good service! We visited during the winter when Jūrmala was pretty quiet, but this café was full of people—which says a lot. The coffee was okay, nothing special, but the sweets were fantastic—beautifully presented and delicious. The staff was also very kind and helpful. We accidentally left a bag behind, and when we came back about 30 minutes later, they had kept it safe and returned it to us. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Visited this August, food I very delicious, i had chicken soup with meat balls and salad with shrimps. Like both very much. I recommend this place in Yurmala.
During my 2-week stay in Jurmala, I visited this cafe at least 8 times. I can't say that they have extraordinary food, but they are consistent and they are good in it. Simple food with fresh ingredients: what can be better during hot summer days? Service was great - waiters very super friendly and super attentive! Loved it. Definitely place to have a nice lunch!

While the ambience and service was generally quite good, I was disappointed with the food. The temperature of the meat soup was luke warm and it had enough dill to garnish the entire pot that it came from. The soy sauce caramel steak was served cold with far too much basil and fruit for my liking.
There is obviously better food on the menu, but I can only judge the mutual mistakes that were made on this occasion.
Oh, and watch out for the obscene number of wasps!
Nice outside seating that is directly facing the sun during the afternoon. Prices are around 10€ for the pot dishes and appetizers. Would recommend the garlic rye bread and the grey peas with bacon. The smoked hearing is good but an acquired taste. Service could be a bit more pro-active but they were extremely nice
Ordered a salad and a couple of coffees for 15 e and decided to pay by cash, gave 100e and received back 35e. Waitress/barman tried to steal 50e from me in a daylight. When I mentioned it to her she just smiled without saying anything, most probably it’s a common practice there. Food was very good, but experience is not, smiling waitress who is stealing 50e is a very nice description of this place and whole city, trash.

We heard that this place has good BBQ options, but due to our diet we had no option to experience it.
Our friends had a fish with an octopus, we had all kinds of vegan salads.
Everything tasted good except the lemonade (it was too sugary) and the seasonal bbq veggies (those were saggy).
Otherwise the food was awesome, service was good as well.
One small issue is that they charge €3.50 for a small sriracha sauce, they should have tell us in advance. I don’t recon a place where they charge for that.
Might be back to try their BBQ if end up going to Jurmala again.
The appetizer soup was so delicious and my hopes were so high.
Unfortunately the octopus wasn't that great. It felt like it was not properly cooked and the seasoning did not flavour it as much as it should. I requested for a sauce to be able to eat it.
Others enjoyed their food so overall, it's a 4-star this time. Perhaps when we visit again we can have a better experience.

Probably the best place in the area. The food was glorious! The staff are sharp, polite and delivered every single time. This is the place where I had probably the best pizza in my life. The Italians should come and learn how to do it!

Absolutely stunning food. We were so impressed by this restaurant. The lady who was serving us, was so polite and friendly. The food was amazing and we couldn't fault it. The place wasn't that busy, maybe it was off season. The drinks were perfect and the desserts were top class too. This place is located close to Jurmala, which is half an hour drive from Riga city. Overall a great place and would totally recommend.
Situated on the busy strip of Jomas Iela, there are plenty of eateries about here. The place looks rather welcoming, so why not.
Initially couldn’t decide between a light lunch or a full on pig out. The decision was kind of made for me. This place needs some staff management, it was utter chaos. It was near impossible to get someone to take my order. Some of the staff could only seat people or clear tables but apparently not take your order.
It’s a shame really. The food when it did make an appearance was rather good. I chose the tagliatelle with beef and boletus. The beef was well flavoured and the mushroom was both soft and muscular. Coating it all was this thick jus-like sauce which was very moreish. It was the perfect light lunch dish.

Yes, you might have to wait in line in order to get there...BUT this place is totally worth the wait. The menu offers soo much mouthwatering food...despite that- every single meal was exceptionally delicious. It's amazing for sushi lovers, but anyone with French/Mediterranean/Mexican taste buds won't be left hungry as well. Woks, salads, burgers, deserts, cocktails... everything is exceptional! Look out for the "offers of the month"- they're a great bargain. I also highly recommend to get a free loyalty card for even more discounts (just ask the waiter).

It was my first time trying sushi served hot and these were the BEST sushi I have ever eaten. There is a good selection of classical sushi as well as baked and fried sushi - which was a surprise to me. The Manu is huge ( if anything they should drop some dishes). Sweet sushi filled with fruit were an excellent finish to the tasty dinner - amazing dessert! The restaurant is located in a very heart of Old Riga (great location) there tables outside and two floors inside. I went there three days in a row and planning to return when next in Riga. Also we have experienced a very good service and a huge thank you to our waitress Karina.
Whatever you are up to - tasty breakfast, lunch or dinner, this place has it all. I eat at Tokyo City often, as it has variety of foods and drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic). It also has lunch offer. But my favorite of all the foods - warm rolls (especially Manchester with bacon), and I suggest everyone tries them at least once here. Previously they offered 1+1 portion, totaling 16 sushi, but now you can choose and pay different prices. Waiting time might be longer at busy times, therefore I suggest you take good friends and patience with you. Service might not be the best always, you won't be seated sometimes, but I go there for food, not for the service. Sometimes I order it just for a takeaway and eat at home. Overall, I recommend!
On a Friday afternoon it was pretty empty, I was offered to choose a seat on the 1st or 2nd floor. The service was quick, sushi was also good. I didn't enjoy the salad as much as there was a hard chicken bone left inside, but recommend the sushi. I ordered Alaska and it was delicious. They also offer lunch specials till 5pm.
The food is excellent, sushi really tastes amazing. Alcoholic drinks were generous in alcohol and really delicious, the staff however seemed young and a tad bit inexperienced as we had to wait a while for someone to come and take our order. Overall a nice experience and would strongly suggest to try this place out when visiting Riga.

Lovely place, nice atmosphere and delicious food at affordable price. I recently visited a restaurant that left the most delightful impressions. The duck breast dish was a real discovery – the duck was incredibly juicy and perfectly cooked. However, the true star of the evening was the honey cake – it’s now my favorite dessert, its delicate taste won me over from the first bite.

Sure, this place is touristy, and yeah, the prices are higher than your average spot—but, let’s be real, if you’re on vacation, you’re probably expecting that. If you're a local from Riga, this might not be your most obvious or casual choice, but it’s definitely the coziest. The food? Absolutely worth it. We tried the mushroom paella and sorbet, and both were just fantastic. The staff is super polite and attentive too. Perfect for a fancy dinner with friends or a memorable date!

Wow, what a great experience the dinner was this time. We havevisited the place few times years ago, but this time was a jackpot. We started with Pil Pil Gambas - they were very smooth and fresh, 2nd round was fried Seabass, which was so good and in balance, the 3rd round was Passion fruit mousse, damn loved that too. Also the house breads, the own made mango jam, strawberry jam and the mint tea with an assortment of dryed fruits&berries made the perfect combination. The service was excellent, funny lad, took care of the cups&glasses quick and delivered food rounds very ontime. Definetly will come back!
We recently dined at Faces Restaurant and had an unforgettable culinary experience. The seafood paella was nothing short of extraordinary, surpassing even the best I've had in Valencia. The tataki was amazing, perfectly seared and seasoned, offering a delightful burst of flavor.
The tiger shrimp were lovely, cooked to perfection with a great texture. The desserts were the highlight of the evening. The honey cake was mind-blowing, a perfect balance of sweetness and richness, lazy Napoleone cake was decadently layered and delicious.
To top it all off, the herbal tea was out of this world, a perfect ending to a fantastic meal. The service was exceptional, characterized by pleasant humor and a very friendly demeanor. Faces Restaurant truly offers a remarkable dining experience, made even better by its wonderful staff!

We tried the sea food paella with lobster, as many here has stated earlier it was well above our expectations and can be warmly recommended.
The personell was very friendly and attentive. Our kids got well taken care of and received coloring pencils right after we got seated. They had special coloring paper with their branding which, in addition to well-produced menus and overall details gave an impression of a clearly envisioned concept for the venue.
We tried a few local restaurants during our stay in Jūrmala and Faces truly stood out.

Cool welcome, as if the staff were not very happy to have new arrivals at just after 8 o’clock. Food was pretty average, lacking much flavour. Wouldn’t return. We both had soups for first course, pretty unimpressed. Main courses of lamb pilaf and veal stir-fry type dish lacking meat quantity and flavour.
We had a great time and the food was truly fresh and allround phenomenal. We enjoyed absolutely everything including the service.

Nobody even asked why we are leaving.

The meats ,and all other local cuise items are Incredible.
Prices also ok for Jurmala, staff is young but very knowledgeable and friendly.

I have visited Restorāns Jūra on two occasions, and it has been an exceptional experience. The cuisine is excellent and prepared with freshness in mind. As part of a larger group, we had the opportunity to try various dishes from the menu, and I highly recommend the saslik. Additionally, their pancakes with cottage cheese (in Viennese style) make for a delightful dessert.
Great service, fantastic food, very reasonable prices. Grilled sea bass, grilled meat ( we tried lamb but any kind is great on an in-house open fire grill), dolma is to-die-for, Greek salad. Everything was served very quickly , food was very tasty. Everything on the menu looked good - difficult to choose from. Have to come back to try more dishes

It was already late and Jūra was one of the restaurants that was still opened. I ordered the light soup with chicken, Cukgalas Steaks and my friend ordered the Galas Set Mix. The serving was huge and the steaks with salads were also delicious. The juices we ordered complemented our meat ordered.
The food was ok, the location was perfect. The food was tasty but nothing special. Drinks were excellent. We got Greek salad, pork ribs, and perch pike with pineapple with sides. The house potatoes was the best of the sides. However we had to wait for around 40 min for the food.
I’ve walked past this restaurant many times since it’s right in the center of Jūrmala, near the concert hall. This time, we decided to go in by chance. The menu is extensive, with a lot of options, making it hard to choose. I would say it leans more towards Georgian cuisine, although a friend of mine ordered Chicken Kyiv and really enjoyed it. I tried the khinkali, but they were undercooked. The worst part was that after leaving the place, all our clothes and hair smelled strongly of the kitchen.
We tried this restaurant with my girlfriend when visiting Jūrmala and it was awesome. We went here for lunch and it was so good that we went even for dinner the same day. We ate a late lunch on a Monday afternoon in May. Nice spacious retaurant, and music not too loud. Friendly and helpful staff. A mix of Russian/Georgian-inspired dishes, with a lot of choice. Mainly fish and meat, but vegetarian options in the salads and starters/snacks. We opted for a mix of starters and snacks: rolled aubergine slices filled with goat’s cheese, potato pancakes and salmon, beef dumplings with walnuts, and home-fried potatoes. Ended with baklava and Marquise cake.

I diacovered this place in Jūrmala quite recently. It has a nice vibe. There is very sunny, since it is a glass building. Food was very nice, especially desert and rhubarb home made lemonade. And service was quite swift. Must have to visit, if you like glass buildings, in a sunny days. 😉
We had chicken burgers and beef stroganoff which was on the specials. It was all very tasty! Thought the black gloves were clever so your hands didn’t get messy as the burgers were deeply filled with thick chicken breast and fresh salad and melted cheese! Highly recommend!

As i love grilled food i had grilled daurade the first day which was great i had to come back to try the bbq chicken and it was devine. A pleasant place with tasty food and excellent service. The only downside was that we waited quite a while for the waiter, even though it wasn’t very busy. Apart from that, the service was great, the restroom was clean, and prices were average for the area. Overall, we were satisfied.
Today we had breakfast here and the place is great in everything, the service, the food and the atmosphere. This is our first time here and I think when we come back again this will be our favorite place. We are from Egypt and Lithuania.

Georgian food is one of the greatest cuisines and this restaurant did it justice! The kachapuri had the perfect cheese pull and was soft . I can recommend all. The kinkali were perfectly seasoned and my favourite was the cheese . The shashliks are also well made and with generous portions. Also great selection of wine and a lovely outside area

I was pleased with everything that was waiting for us! The place itself isn't hard to find, but you may need to get a reservation just in case. There are a lot of visitors (and you can understand why when you tried their food), so we were lucky enough to find an empty table, though it probably depends on a day.
Let's start with my favourite part - food. It was amazing there. Everything we ordered there was tasty and made pretty quickly if you could know how many customers were there that day. Food was soooo tasty, so we were really happy about it, because our main goal was to eat something nice, not just some hotdogs.
We didn't require that help, but the staff helped by presenting how to eat meals properly! Which, in my opinion, is just amazing and helpful for someone who wants to learn other cultures.
Speaking of staff. They are helpful and nice. If you need something, they'll be more than glad to help you. They're doing such a good job! As someone who works in a café, I know how awful and hard rush can be, but they managed amazing!
The price overall was positive as well. For the quality and restaurant pretty standard price.

If this place was a perfume, it would be the most long-standing, the richest in accords fragrance, that you want to try again and again.
It was unbelievable gastronomic adventure. Meat (chicken shashlik and turkey shashlik with pomegranate sauce) so flavorful, so delicious... Served with some aromatic sauce and vegetables, that are marinated so carefully, that you feel the perfect balance between spice and the original vegetable taste. So simple, yet so unique.
Service: not the shortest waiting time, but the food was definitely worth the wait. Slightly chaotic service in general, but the restaurant was fully seated during our visit, so it was forgivable. Cash and cards are accepted. Personnel speaks Latvian and other languages.
Atmosphere: fantastic. 10 out of 10 recommend and worth returning back.
Great food and experience 😘 Khachapuri with the egg yolk was amazing, fluffy and tasty and very fun to watch them mix it with the cheese before you eat (see video)! Chicken shashlik and pork shashlik (pieces of wood-fire grilled meat ; forgot to take photos because it looked so good and we were very hungry 😛) were super flavourful, juicy and tender, served with a sauce, nice thin pita wrap/bread(?) and a good portion of vegetables. Also tried Kvass for the first time loved it - rich taste, and very low alcohol level which is perfect for me 😚 Friendly staff and comfortable environment, recommended!!!

Food was very delicious. Good prices. We really enjoyed a honey beer (medalus) usually I don't even drink a beer, but taste really surprised us. I really recommend to try honey beer. Meniu with pictures and in 3 languages.

Oh my word! What a little gem! Such wonderfully friendly staff, beautiful terrace (& inside) and the food is beyond words! We had onion rings & cheese sticks to start, followed by the steak medallions, while the teenage son had the burger. Absolutely divine. Big portions without being huge, but still too much to clear the plate! We will definitely be back if at all possible!

I had a pleasant dining experience at Zangezur, an Armenian restaurant. The soup and dolma were both delicious, with the soup having a slight spicy kick that added to its flavor. The dolma had a perfect balance of meat and rice filling. The food was authentic and the service was fantastic. They even offer an electric car charger for convenience. Although the lamb chops were good, I expected more from their kebab dish.

I said no, I want bottle beer and an empty glass, I will pour it, they took it back, brought bottle, I am sure they poured it back to bottle, because it was tasteless, really bad experience.

During our visit to Jūrmala, Latvia, we chose this Armenian restaurant on a busy street for our last meal before heading home. At first, I expected it to be one of those touristy spots serving a bit of everything at average quality, but it turned out to be better than that. The dolma, eggplant with nuts, and kurbari I tried were all enjoyable. The dolma was excellent, the eggplant dish is a nice option for those who enjoy cold starters to share, and the kurbari, while a little dry for my taste, was still interesting to try, especially since it was my first time tasting this pizza-like dish with minced meat inside. Overall, I can recommend this place, and my experience has made me curious to explore Armenian cuisine further, even back home!! Thanks team.

The staff needs to learn communicative skills. The idea of VIP inner terass with no signs telling that is absolutely preposterous. I wouldnt normally post a bad review, but this place is not friendy to foreign tourists. Lovely prime location, but got a tut and eye roll from the staff when trying to order, so we left. If you don't want tourists ordering in English, don't include the language on your menu!Overpriced too versus other places metres down the road.
Exactly the same happened to us, that Kirill described here. The waiter treated us as if he was ready to kick us out. Absolutely moronic behaviour, claimed that some lousy rotten terrace is a VIP terrace and it is closed. There were people sitting there, no label that it was reserved or anything. How come this man has not been sacked yet, is a mystery. (Also while we were picking the cakes behind the glass, he told us not to stand there?)
Very good service, very good food, however, I'd like to see bigger portions. I enjoyed it and recommend the place

A family dinner, a very quiet night, but the food was very nice, maybe the fry oil needed a change but well presented and the kids loved their meal! Good value, but we were the only visitors, I’m think the weather put pay to this I hope! The picture is the lamb shashlik..
It was our first visit to the Bulduri section of the 33km Jurmala beach today and whilst looking for somewhere to park as near to the beach as possible, we found a free parking spot on the 2nd road running parallel to the beach outside the Zem Buram restaurant.
We were planning to find a restaurant for lunch and as it was busy & the food brought out to the diners on the outside terrace looked and smelt good, we decided to chance it and eat there. My wife had a Burger with chips and I had the lamb skewers kababs with chips. She had a small beer, I had a pot of tea & we shared a bottle of still water. The food was OK but nothing to shout out about, which was a shame as the service was very good.
Very tasty food, we ate twice, 5 people from 9 years old, everyone really liked it, the food was delicious, fresh.

I recently visited Nojan Tapan, a restaurant in Jurmala near the Asari train station. The establishment is quite spacious and can accommodate both indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff members were friendly and provided excellent service. The cuisine offered at Nojan Tapan is diverse, with a focus on Armenian dishes such as hachapiti, hingalies, and shashlik. They also have an impressive selection of wines from Georgia, Armenia, and other regions.
Overall a very good experience. Food is excellent and authentic. Portions are nice size. Waiter is nice and helpful, but a bit higher level of English would have made communication so much easier.
Also, we were wondering about the wait time for our food as there were only few customers on this late Monday afternoon.
With that said, the main thing is the food, and all our dishes were brilliant.

The lamb stew was perfect on a cold day! Fried cheese was a decadent appetizer. The lamb pilaf was excellent also. The restaurant itself is nice and well maintained. The only downside is that drinks are a bit pricey.

This is a charming and welcoming place with prompt, friendly service. The food is clearly prepared with care and attention—everything tasted great! If I could suggest one small improvement, slightly larger soup portions would be perfect. Overall, a delightful dining experience—I’d gladly return!
We ordered a meal which appeared to be not suitable for celiac, even though the menu stated it was. We've removed lavash ourselves, but despite this minor misunderstanding, the dinner went well.

The chicken kotlets were too oily.
And the smashed potatoes were not smashed correctly, with big pieces of potato and served cold.

We had lunch here and it was delicious. A pork kebab each, simple but just what we wanted. We would certainly come again on our next visit. The staff were friendly too.

Worst pizza I've ever tried. And I tried a lot. Dry, with a few ingredients, just heated in oven with cold cheese on it. Pasta was a bit better, but not even close to what you should call a real italian food. Avoid if you can. P.s.: the best we've got there was italian sparkling water.

Honest Review – Not Quite a 5-Star Experience
I recently stayed at this 5-star spa hotel, and while there were some positives, I feel it’s important to share a few honest thoughts for future guests.
The Good:
The best part of the hotel was definitely the staff – professional, friendly, and always willing to help. The gym was also well-equipped and a great addition to the stay. Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of food, and the quality was consistent.
The Not-So-Good:
Unfortunately, the spa experience was disappointing. The hotel’s marketing gives the impression that many spa services are included, but in reality, almost everything comes at an extra cost – and some options advertised around the hotel were hard to even locate or book. I found this quite misleading.
The installations also fell short of 5-star expectations. The bathrooms had no windows, and the toilet seat was a cheap plastic one, which really didn’t match the supposed luxury standard. The TVs in the rooms were small and not smart TVs, which again felt outdated for a hotel in this category.
Another big downside was the restriction of only 2 hours per day for spa and pool use. That really takes away from what should be a relaxing experience – and for a spa hotel, this was quite frustrating.
As for the restaurants, the food was okay, but the prices were unreasonably high just because they’re located in the hotel. I recommend trying places outside – better food, better prices, and more options.
Overall:
While some aspects were enjoyable, I don’t believe the standards and installations reflect what a 5-star hotel should offer. Sadly, I wouldn’t return

This old hotel is long overdue for demolition and a new one. Who gave it those stars? Just look at the rooms, the robes, the curtains, and so on. The family room doesn't have a single locker to hang or even organize clothes, and where to put travel bags and suitcases? Is the sofa that the kids are supposed to sleep on time for the dump?! And yet they charge prices like a luxury hotel! The pool and spa area have been renovated, but they're overcrowded. And what a result! It's cramped, noisy, dirty, and there's no way to relax after the sauna... because there's no space to relax! This hotel is a disaster!
The hotel is very old – don’t be fooled and don’t book the hammam with massage (The Garden).
We paid over €200, and the massage was supposed to last 30 minutes. Instead, they just scrubbed us with a sponge for maybe 18 minutes.
The staff is unprofessional and doesn’t explain anything.
If you want good service, it’s better to choose a different hotel.
There are many nice places and hotels in Jurmala. But this is NOT one of them! Find something better. This is NOT a 5-star hotel if you judge it by service and attitude. However, the prices and desire for money correspond to 100% 5 stars.
My husband gave me a gift - a weekend at the hotel, spa, massage. Big disappointment! Already signing up for procedures and spa was an endless management between the hotel and their employees. 1) A lot of nonsense and attitude problems. The client is NOT valuable. 2) When we arrived at the hotel, the administrator "does not know" where the massage room is. Seriously? 3) in the spa area they "demand" that my husband also come for a massage, because they have written that he will come too (but in email we have appointment for 1 person). I hear threats, that we will have to pay even if he don't come 4) when I come out of the massage, they ask me to pay, although my husband has already paid! I have to listen to a whole lecture and threats + I see how inadequate the spa manager is towards her employees. Real and undisguised bullying.
We didn't give up and didn't pay ANYTHING extra, but this experience was the worst possible precisely because of the (apparently) task given to the employees - to extort as much money as possible. Service and client is not important. Money is. So, make a decision, whether you want to be just a wallet...
Perfect location, luxurious rooms, nice Italian restaurant. Had a relaxing time at their Resort last evening just before leaving for Frankfurt. Their Suite room is very spacious & has all required amenities. The balcony gave a perfect view & the overcast weather with the mild drizzle added the perfect icing. If you want a relaxing spa experience; DONT GO HERE. It’s more like a communal bath house. Very noisy. No bar inside the SPA area and if you want to go to the beach, you must go through the lobby. We were not allowed to bring the towels to the beach, even though we just went there and back. No bathrobes offered. The woman in the bar in the lobby was outright rude.
Food in the resultant was fine and the service friendly, why I give the place two stars instead of one. Be sure to order cabs in good time during the night time; it’s quite a ride from the city.
The hotel is great, the location is great and most of the staff was amazing, but unfortunately we had one incident in the hotel restaurant. This was a work trip and on the last day, when we were wrapping our corporate event as scheduled, I think it might have been someone in charge of that particular restaurant (he was dressed a bit differently than the waiters) said in Russian to the staff about us (assuming he didn’t think anyone would understand) “to get the out of here” (in a very rude and inappropriate way). I understand they might have been tired but this was very unpleasant experience.
We booked a Garden SPA ritual but weren’t told the correct time at check-in. One SPA staff member was rude and spoke to me in a very disrespectful way. Another spoke Russian to me, even though I only speak Latvian – which is unacceptable and not in line with Latvian language laws.
The changing room in the SPA area was dirty and worn out, which didn’t feel hygienic or relaxing. The room and balcony also looked outdated and in need of renovation.
Not what I expected from a luxury hotel.

We chose this hotel for the second time. And I believe, that it will become our couple's tradition, to visit Jurmala and this hotel every year. The rooms are very cozy and I even would say - romantic. The hotel is autenthic by it's architecture. Very good location. When you exit hotel - you are in Jomas iela. Only 5 minutes by walk to the sea. There are free parking. Breakfast - amazing, tasty food, different options for everybody. The staff are wonderful people, very friendly and they not only answer to all questions, but also gives good recommendations. This time we booked room in their website, so we also got a free welcome gift. I have no doubt that we will come back. :)

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Joma! The service was both professional and friendly, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Its location on a convenient street, just a short walk to the beach, made everything so easy. My husband and I truly fell in love with this charming villa.
I have been twice in Villa Joma, it is good location to stop over when travelling from Germany to Finland.

This is the most welcoming hotel I have been in my 10 years of job-related travels. In the hotel it feels like in a villa of an old aristocratic Latvian family, who lived in a similar neighbourhood and enjoyed respect and love of the city. The hotel is in the heart of the city. The staff are exceptionally helpful, the breakfasts are good, the price is good, the windows and views are fantastic, the rooms are wide and light. The beds could be newer but I wouldn’t complain as I slept well. In two words - highly recommended for middle class people.
We had a special menu which contained plates from the normal menu. Camember cheese with a salad, shrimp salad, salmon steak, beef steak with amazing mushroom mashed potatoes, and a chocolate fondant for desert. All the dishes 10/10. Very cosy and calm atmosphere, slow piano playing, we had a cute table next to the "chimney". Service was excellent, waitresses polite and helpful, thanks for the information provided and good sense of humour ;)

I loved this café! The vibe is super cozy and welcoming, the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed. The coffee is really good and the pastries are always fresh (the croissants are a must-try). It’s also a nice spot whether you just want a quick coffee, there are three floors and on the third it’s perfect to just hang out with friends, or even chill alone with a book. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. If you are looking for a place in Jurmala I absolutely recommend this place!

We are a family from Sweden with two kids, and we’ve been coming to Hotel Pegasa Pils every summer for several years now - and every time it feels like coming home! This hotel truly has everything we need for a relaxing and comfortable holiday.
The rooms are very spacious, which is perfect for a family with children. They’re always sparkling clean and well-equipped with everything we might need - it really makes a difference when traveling with kids! The staff go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and cared for, and we’ve always felt incredibly well looked after.
The location simply couldn’t be better - right in the heart of Jūrmala, just a short walk from the beach, the beautiful park, and great cafes. On top of that, the parking is very affordable and convenient, which is not always easy to find in such a central spot.
We highly recommend Pegasa Pils to anyone visiting Jūrmala. It’s a gem of a hotel with of course a bit 2000 furniture style, but we look forward to returning every summer.

great location, near the main concert hall. The hotel looks very nice from the outside. But inside it is ordinary, with old repairs. There was a kettle in the room, but no coffee. Breakfast was delicious. The fee for a medium-sized dog is 45 euros, and for a large one - 95!! I have never seen such prices for animals anywhere!
Can't imagine better location for a hotel. from outside it looks super cool. All this old wooden architecture around Jurmala is worth to see, but inside. I get that I'm not a public for it. Last repair probably was when I was born and when Dzintari had a bit different vibe to it
Really disapointing stay. Far from 4 star hotel and the price it costs. Do not recommend.
Room: floor feels always dirty, no carpet as shown in hotel pictures. Bathroom has mold, one wall has new modern tiles, yet other walls are still with old tiles. Bed was OK.
Breakfast: biggest disappointment. Quite poor quality food, everything cold, and no coffee. They do have a coffee machine, but it's ugly instant coffee. Restaurant has real coffee but refuse to serve it for hotel breakfast.
Authentic hotel in the late Art Nouveau style with its own history, offering a great location in Jurmala. The exterior is impressive, while the interior is decent but the rooms are slightly worn. Breakfast is simple but sufficient buffet. The staff is friendly and responsive, making the stay more comfortable.
Big room, great location! But quite a lot of maintenance issues, thus over-proces: air condition did not work, sink drain was leaking, wifi unstable, very noisy fridge. Prepare for paying extra for sauna etc.
Unfortunately, the customer service was disappointing. The waitresses came across as unfriendly, and despite waiting quite a long time, we were not attended to. In the end, we had to leave without being served. Won’t come back.

MO:Restbar, an Asian fusion restaurant in Jurmala, is a top choice for sushi lovers. During the challenging times when everything was closed, it became a go-to place for takeout orders. However, on this visit, I was ecstatic to find that they were open for dining in. The Tom yum soup was not only delicious but also generously portioned, satisfying my hunger quickly.
Wonderful experience. Delicious food and very kind service. Loved the wok, and the garlic bread was enormous and yummy.

A bit off the central Jomas street, this Asian fusion restaurant is sure to get busy in the evening (as I was leaving), and less busy during the day. It has great selection of sushi, wok, main dishes and appetisers. Absolutely perfect cocktails which you won't find on main street, many with a nice twist to the classic, but they will serve a classic too. The panna cotta was more than expected and I'm sure other desserts are too. The prices are about the same as other restaurants on main street, some dishes lower, some higher.
It's an elegant restaurant near the big park and the seashore, of course. A variety of sushi is available there as well as other dishes. Beef cheeks were extremely tender. Sushi were fresh and delicious. A big plus for me is fresh juices (orange, grapefruit, carrot)! The staff was attentive
Nice, stylish decor, friendly and quick service, and very good food. We had garlic breads as a starter which were something else then what I expected, but was great, try it!
Then we had two wok dishes, one with vegetables, one with chicken, and both came out to be really good. I asked for mine to be made very spicy, and the chefs made it exactly as I wanted (which is very hot) :)
And prices here are reasonable, comparing to the high street restaurants on the Main Street

What a pleasant surprise — MO:Restbar delivers a top-tier seafood experience that can confidently stand next to The Catch. An excellent team of sous-chefs, beautiful presentation, and everything is incredibly fresh — which is crucial when it comes to seafood.
Special thanks to our waiter Alexander — his knowledge of the menu is flawless, and his service is outstanding.
Cocktails are great too — creative, well-balanced, and delicious.

We really liked most of the food. Can in particular recommend the tom yum, gyozas and the beef cheeks. Sushi also pretty good and served with high quality pickled ginger and punchy wasabi. Unfortunately the wok ruined the impression as it was drenched in sweet supermarket-like sauce. Was more like sticky sweet soup than wok. I only picked out a few prawns and ate them and didn’t touch the rest.
The service was friendly and overall ambience in the restaurant was nice.
Visited this place last year on summer vacation. Food was good. But the service is pretty poor and not customer-oriented. Our kid was given standard menu first, sp we should search for waitress to ask for kid's menu. The weather wasn't very warm but there were opened two opposite doors, therefore it was drafty. Our request to close one of the door because it was cold and uncomfortable was denied with argument that it was hot for kitchen staff. In my suggestion there could be found another way how to resolve this problem without making guests feeling themselves uncomfortable. Later a table nearby became available, and we asked if we could move there. However, we were told that it was being held for other guests. While we understood the explanation, the table was never marked as reserved, and no one ended up sitting there. It left us feeling confused and disappointed. The overall approach didn’t feel very customer-friendly, and unfortunately, it made us decide to skip desserts. We wouldn’t recommend this place based on our experience.
Favorite sushi place in Jurmala. I always order take out for my parents, specially during the times when everything was closed. When I was visiting this time I was happy to see that place was open and we actually could dine in. Tom yum was very good, actually it was very big and I got full very quickly. Moderate spice which is good because I dont like spicy food.
Inside very cozy nice atmosphere and good service. We were able to choose our own table since there were only 1 couple beside us.

The steak tartare was hands down the best I’ve ever had – perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of flavor. Paired with a well-crafted cocktail, it was simply delicious. Beautiful setting, relaxed atmosphere, and great service made the whole experience even better.

Just this month, we have been here perhaps six times. Today, we came with 25 people, including children, and booked in advance.
My wife asked if the children could use the pool when we arrived and was told yes, there would be no problem.
We have used the pool many times before but never with such a large group.
We arrived today and were blocked from entering the pool and asked to pay 25 euros per child!
First, this is outrageous, especially since we asked in advance and no one mentioned any additional charges.
Second, we had a table with 25 people dining, and I am a frequent customer. I was even here yesterday.
Third, to ask 25 euros per child is ridiculous. Is this Monaco? Are we at a Disney waterpark? Even going to the Jurmala water park doesn't cost 25 euros per child.
We spoke to the director, but he was not accommodating or understanding at all.
So, this will be our last visit here, and we will also inform our guests who were here with us, including diplomats.
Every business should prioritize service above all else. Apparently, things have changed since the previous owner.
I made a reservation of the table 2 hours before arrival. When we arrived at place they told that there was only one dish available from whole menu. The restaurant was fully empty, only 2 tables more. Despite they refused to give us round table even though it was not reserved and restaurant was completely empty. When I asked the waiter why he did not notify me that they are out of food he told me that it was not him who answered the phone.
I usually resort to these reviews when things are either exceptionally good or really poor and tonight I'm afraid it was the latter. I don't know what has happened because 2 years ago the food was great. Not very "legendary" at all tonight (more like "meh-gendary!)
Not sure whether you're that bothered given none of your staff seemed to take an interest but the food wasn't good. We ordered two pizzas and a cheeseburger, and honestly, I was rooting for you the whole time. But wow, those pizzas... way too much dough, way too much bland tomato paste, and toppings so overbearing they could probably moonlight as life coaches. It was like the dough and sauce had an argument, and the toppings came in to referee, only to make things worse.And the burger? Oh, the burger. Visually, it looked like it had just rolled out of bed—lazy presentation, a few sad chips scattered on the plate like they’d been abandoned at a party. It tasted about as exciting as it looked. I want to believe this was just an off night because I know you can do better. I’ve seen it with my own eyes! Please, Legends, rise from the ashes of mediocrity and reclaim your throne.

Apparently its perfectly acceptable to make lousy pizzas as they're considered to be fast-food. My advice: If you're not going to do something well, dont do it all. suggest getting the basics right might help people make more exquisite choices
We recently visited Legend beach club and while the place itself looks nice, the overall experience was disappointing, especially given the prices they charge almost on par with beach clubs in Dubai, Mykonos, or Ibiza.
Unfortunately, the service feels stuck in old Soviet Union times. There’s a distinct lack of hospitality and an unaccommodating attitude, particularly from the beach club manager(lady she was wearing all white that day), who was outright rude. When we rented the most expensive cabana by the pool for €250 for the day, a bit later I politely asked if we could get a sunbed by the beach for an hour for my elderly father to sleep, as the pool area was extremely noisy with children running around unchecked. Despite the fact that more than half the sunbeds remained empty all day, the manager refused, saying everything was “booked,” unless we paid an extra €50. This wasn’t a formal request just a simple favor, given we were already paying for the premium cabana and had been there since morning.
We stayed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and still, the sunbeds by the beach remained mostly vacant. The lack of flexibility and the dismissive, cold attitude really leaves a bad impression. This kind of service might still work for locals or those used to the post-communist mentality, but for Western tourists expecting hospitality, courtesy, and basic customer service, I cannot recommend this place.
If Jurmala wants to position itself as a competitive, international beach destination, places like this need to seriously rethink their approach to services.

I recently enjoyed a quick lunch at Grilbārs 39K with some friends in May 2023 when it was not too crowded. The burgers and ribs were excellent, and they offer a good selection of beers and local spirits. Our waitress, Daniela, was efficient, professional, and friendly. She recommended the best dishes on the menu, and we were not disappointed. If I ever return to Journals, I will definitely visit this place again. I highly recommend it!

Really cozy and nice place, even in cold autumn can sit warm in terrace outside. Not long waiting time and tasty soup!

Restorāns Neptūns, the oldest eatery in Jurmala, is situated amidst the sea dunes. The waitress at Picburg is incredibly hospitable and attentive to customers' needs. I ordered their pizzas, which are renowned as the finest in Latvia, along with some delectable mozzarella sticks. What sets this restaurant apart is that they provide garlic sauce and ketchup with your pizza without any additional charge - a rarity in other establishments. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! We have been eating there for three years while living in Jurmala and it is certainly the best pizzeria we have ever visited.
The food is on the next level, each pizza has a lot of topping and they look better than in the pictures. I really recommend trying New York and the one with salmon. There is also a bunch of options for kids.
The service is incredible. For our family order (3 pizzas, nuggets and drinks) it took only 30 minutes while there were other visitors. Once we ordered 2 pizzas 10 minutes before they close and got them as good as usual, with a less than 30 min free delivery.
Atmosphere is coze and exotic, they have a real turtle and fishes, billiard table, bar and indoor and outdoor seating. The prices are average and affordable.

We noted a promotional offer: the purchase of three pizzas entitled us to a complimentary fourth sweet pizza.
Mexican burger just kick ace, big and tasty, comes together with gloves, very handy. Barely could finish it, solid 9/10, best quality for the price.
Love this place—great pizza, quick service and friendly staff. Just be aware you can't park right next to the building, but there is a parking spot right across the street.

Recently visited the restaurant Planeta-Lifestyle Cafe and had an extraordinary experience. French fries did not taste like truffles, not one bit. And wok had 5 little pieces of chicken in it, probably the same shashlik as in salads. Will not order again...
We came between lunch and dinner with our 17 month old and had a great experience. The food was delicious and very well presented. We ordered the pike cakes (līdakas kotletes) and beet ravioli with beef cheeks (ravioli biešu) and ended with the chocolate fondant (šokolādes fondants) and strawberry symphony (zemenu simfonija). We enjoyed all of it. I would recommend all of those dishes.
The setting was nice and clean, and they had an area near the kitchen with toys, stuffed animals and books where children could play. Menus were available in English, and our server spoke English as well.
Amazing super delicious breakfast! We had an omelet and porridge supplemented with fine cappuccino and latte. The service was great, too.
More affordable than I expected, and very tasty food. Took quite a while from order to table, but would visit again.

My family entered to this restaurant from the hotel whish is in the same building and didn't noticed the working hours. It was 11:30 (restaurant opens from 12:00), the restaurant entrance from the hotel was open. Children found kids corner and started to play when the waiter came and instead of politely explained that they opens after 30min, he started to shout loudly at us, even children freaked out. They dont deserve our money with such a service.
Skip this place waited for 1 hour and I didn't got my food so I left. And nobody told me that is gonna be so long. Restaurant was almost empty there were only few people!! The couple who ordered at the same moment when I ordered got their food and I waited 10min and then the waitress was carrying food to the ladies who came later than us. I dont recommend this place. Whole time I was hearing how cooks argue in the kitchen. When I asked for the bill they started shouting in the kitchen "what do we need to do". Kitchen staff doesn't respect their clients. Near the kitchen I saw a big spider so this place is also dirty and you might find a spider in your meal.... This experience ruined my day.
Don't go there. We waited forever for our food, they brought it little by little, not at once and we were all left hungry because of the size of the portions. It was also very expensive, considering the service and the portions. A Shisha costs 30€ or more... So we skipped the Shisha although we were really thrilled to smoke. :((( sad

During a visit to Zelta teļš, a restaurant located in the popular Jomas street of Jurmala, I enjoyed a delightful family brunch. The eatery offered an extensive array of delectable dishes including cold options, salads, hot delicacies, as well as mouthwatering cakes, fruits and pastries. The attentive and friendly staff were also knowledgeable about their beer selection and provided guidance on choosing the perfect brew.
Wow! They know how to cook meat! As soon as we arrived, the staff gave our kids pencils and paper to draw. The staff is superfriendly and helpful. We definitely recommend the calf cheeks! The meat was just melting in mouth. We will return, for sure! Thank you for this great experience, although it was pretty late 😅😉

This is one of our go-to spots — a real “home” favorite. The food is always honest and well-prepared, with a great selection of meat dishes.
What really sets Zelta Tēls apart is their beer menu: over 25 brands, mostly from Latvia and Belgium — easily the best beer choice in Jūrmala.
Prices are moderate, and the quality remains high.
We visited today with the whole family. Meals were served quickly, and everything tasted great. The only downside was how long it took for the table to be cleared after we finished. Both terraces were packed, so we understand the pressure, but the staff responsible for cleaning seemed slow and unmotivated.
Still, we love this place and will definitely be back.

We were here twice. The first day we got a grilled salmon with vegitables and roasted duck. The salmon was amazing and the fresh vegitables on the side were perfectly chosen. The duck was clearly preprepared otherwise it would have been a long evening. The sides were bulgur with small apple pieces, and the sauce was perfect for the duck. My partner chose a strudel with fresh fruits and ice cream which made her very happy.Unfortunately we were too hungry to take photos so we desided to for lunch on day 2.
The day before we noticed that they had sashlic on the menu that was made on a grill using grill coal. So we ordered rwo types of sashlic, one with turkey fillet and one with pork. Both had fresh vegitables on the side. We were not disappointed. The chef monitored the inner temperature of the meat all the way through. We are no strangers to sashlic as some readers might know as we have traveled several places in Georgia and Ukraine where sashlic is a culture food. These two dishes replicad not only the original taste but the meat was well chosen and cooked with care. My partner ordered a very nice limoncello chees cake and i settled with a cafe latte.Even the prise is absolutely fair. Zelta Tels is well worth a visit if grill is your thing. But the menu also covers many other dishes with fish, pizza, pasta, cold and warm appetizers, salads, burgers and soups.

Great fresh Cepelinai and one of the best shashlik ever. Service a bit strange- they have a terrace and a bar - and sometimes they can mix up menus , but sometimes they just have a short menu where no cepelinai is available… and staff sometimes friendly, sometimes could appear a bit rude and abrupt . Overall nice if you wanna try cepelinai and shaslik. Beef stroganoff and sea bass fillet wasn’t that good to be honest . Sometimes very loud drunken customers lacking cultural qualities .

Amazingly, it was open in the middle of the weekday in March. Nice coffee and tea (not very big selection of soft drinks). Cards accepted. Stunning views of Rīga Bay.
The customer service was really _the worst I've ever received_. The blond-haired waiter in his twenties was so unfriendly and unprofessional that I almost started crying. His attitude towards me was so mean. Even ok food won't fix what happened.
The whole atmosphere was creepy.
I had to wait 10 min before I got service and the restaurant were almost empty.. so finally I went inside to take the menu by myself. When I got the meal birds ate my food living just a bit veggies when I was inside taking the water - which I ordered but which never came. And the waiter didn't apologize for anything, just says with a wicked smile that it's not their fault and I have to pay more if I want new beef. At the end I paid €31.90 for a regular salad with pieces of meat and sparkling water. At the end, I told the waiter that I think he was really impolite and he responded indifferently and with a wicked smile "ok, thank you."

We came for Valentine’s dinner, booked a table in advance, staff was already a mess. It seems that they don’t follow reservations at all and just go with the flow. Luckily there was a free table. Than we spent more time waiting to order something instead of eating. But everyone was waiting. Guys on the right was waiting for a check tor 15minutes, everyone had plates on the tables. Empty plates. Dishes where brought without cuttlery and so on. Anyway we were sitting in a good spirit as some second seating people, waiting for our thingies. Everyone in the restaurant were served in courses and we got our snacks and pasta all together. Bruschetta with salmon was good, the one with tuna a bit flat. But since we got all food together our pasta was already soggy, cold-ish and totally not worth the money.
To sum up we came to the restaurant to spend some nice quality time, have some nice drinks and instead we firstly felt abandoned, then overwhelmed and generally we felt that they are rushing us out of there. It seemed that two months after the opening should be enough to have processes in place but I was wrong.
Big down for general atmosphere was just lost staff. They were almost running with shock and fear in their faces. Fail with almost every table and just put all the restaurant in stress.
That was a sad sad evening.

Nice food and service. Interior is amazing. If you look for the calm place between Dubulti and Melluži this is the choice. Menu is broad and everything is available. Station Jaundubulti is nearby, so it is easy to get here and come back to Riga if you are visiting Jurmala as a tourist. No problem to park your car as well.

However, I have to say that the food was okay at best at very high prices. The price isn't appropriate for the quality of the food. They did not have ingredients for Negroni, so we went for Margaritas. Well, ehat we got was some margarita inspired drink with ice cubes floating in a plastic "glass". Eur 15 per coctail, that taste like in some cheap all inclusive resort in early 90s

Service was great yet with some delays and as we got a place in the terrace it was the perfect lunch ambiance. I would like to give for the food 4.5 but only due to personal preference that I like my burgers more simple and the rosemary was a bit too strong on some bites for me. However, the moctails and drinks were 10/10 and everyone spoke great English! We will for sure return again to try out more different items as the style of food is different than the basic places around.

The only inconvenience was that, I was told that not all coffee options are available, and macchiato cannot be served, but, as I understood, the place is a bit of a new one,
and some adjustment room is ok.
Otherwise, lovely soups, great cappuccino and I am definitely coming back, as I was 100% intrigued to explore their menu further.
Just had an amazing Sri Lankan meal here, really delicious, lovely service. Game of Thrones themed. Also has Europe’s tallest burger apparently, made to share for 4. Might have to come back to try it.

I will be 100% visiting this restaurant again when I will be passing through. The food was nicely served, looked and tasted amazing, and I really enjoyed restaurant's style and a throne from game of thrones! Maybe, the building didn't look appealing from outside, but once you get inside, it flips the first impression upside down :)
The food was delicious! The " Lamb Kottu" I had was one good dish! It had that fine Sri Lankan touch of flavours for a Kottu mixed with a flavour of its own!

However, the owner must collaborate with the bartender and waiter! Very slow bartender and need better customer service—I mean, not just smiling and being polite, but you have to work hard at the bar, clean the table, or serve food!

The cozy atmosphere adds to the experience, making it feel like home while enjoying each bite.
Lovely romantic restaurant with a polished decor. Good service, they speak perfect English and time to get served is not long. Food is really tasty - I had potato pancakes with smoked salmon with sour cream. Price is slightly on the upper side compared to other places nearby but this restaurant has a certain standing to it.

Nice small restaurant. Food was very good. They were out of a few items despite the fact that we had earlier dinner. My guess is because it was Sunday. We didn't have main course at the same time, that part could be better. Overall, woukd visit again.
Food was okay. I ordered the chicken Kiev. Tasty. But that's all I got. When I asked, Is there anything else, I'm not your waiter. My waiter did not attend until my second request. She said sorry, another waitress told me it's a cultural thing to eat only meat with no trimmings???
We ordered take out which arrived in time and still hot. Lots due to well packaged and thermally wrapped.
Now, the food was well presented and delicious. Great flavors of all dishes and delicious salads.
Edit: after such good order we when to the place for dinner. The food was even better and nicely looking. Very homey tasting and flavorful.
