We have been to Restaurant Roko in Opatija multiple times, and every visit has been outstanding. The food is always fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared, and the service is warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is lively yet cozy, making it the perfect place for both a relaxed dinner and a special occasion. Each time we come back, the quality remains consistently high, which is why Roko has become one of our favorite spots in Opatija. We will definitely return again!

We had a great experience at Roko. Waited about 15min to get in without reservation. Food and drinks were served promptly once seated and ordered. We ordered the tuna carpaccio and homemade bread for a starter and the carbonara and stuffed sea bass as mains. Everything was delicious and also reasonably priced. Service was good, but seemed like they could have had more staff, as our waiter was very busy. Overall, we had a great experience, would definitely recommend this restaurant and dine again!

The fish soup as a starter was quite good, but I especially want to compliment the beef carpaccio — it was excellent. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the main course. The Churrasco steak didn’t match what they advertise on Instagram, and although I asked for medium rare it was served rare. The pork knuckle, on the other hand, was tasty. We had two beers, carpaccio, bread, fish soup, the steak with a side of potatoes (which was charged separately), and the pork knuckle. The service was good, and the starters were delicious, which is why I’m giving a rating of 3. The total bill was €91.

A restaurant serving good food, which leaves you satisfied. Nothing extremely special, but definitely a great place to have lunch or dinner. A menu where everyone can find something: pizza, pasta, meat, fish. It was a very good dinner. We took plejskavica, lasagna, a tomato salad and fresh bread. Plejskavica was one of the best I have tried. The lasagna in my opinion lacked some sauce (no sauce was present), but it was definitely a quality one.

I really enjoyed my dinner here! I had pasta with Adriatic prawns, dried tomatoes, and an Istrian white wine sauce which was super tasty. The atmosphere was great with Dalmatian folklore music playing and nice decor. Service was lovely too.

Just wow. We made a reservation at 8pm but arrived way early, they still could have us a table in a timely manner. The service was amazing, good recommendations. The food was superb, I had the shrimp bruschetta and turkey steak filled with prosciutto and mozzarella with a shrimp scampi sauced tagliatelle. It was some of the best pasta i have had. The bruschetta was soft on the inside but had a nice crunch in the crust. The price was also very reasonable for the quality. I highly recommend.

Ružmarin is such a great spot — cozy, stylish, and super welcoming. The staff were all really friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the service was spot on from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious. We tried a mix of seafood and pasta dishes and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The drinks were also great — nice wine selection and some solid cocktails too. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and experience. You really get great value here. We left full and happy, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town. Highly recommend!

Ružmarin Restaurant is part of a well-known local group and clearly enjoys a loyal following in Opatija. We originally came here on a simple quest for crêpes /palačinke with chocolate (walnuts) and were pleasantly surprised. So much so that we ordered a second round. The desserts were rich, comforting, and exactly what we had hoped for. We also tried the bruschetta, which unfortunately didn’t meet our expectations—it was more like dry bread with tomato paste and melted mozzarella on top, rather than the fresh, vibrant version we anticipated. The service was friendly, though not particularly attentive, but the overall experience still felt relaxed and welcoming. The restaurant’s interior is beautifully designed, creating a warm and stylish atmosphere that makes dining here a pleasure. The terrace, on the other hand, didn’t feel as inviting. While we cannot fully judge the broader menu, the dishes we saw leaving the kitchen looked appealing, and the fact that many locals choose to dine here speaks volumes about its quality and reputation. Ružmarin is a fine choice in Opatija if you’re looking for a cozy indoor setting, a taste of something sweet, and a restaurant that enjoys the trust of the local community.

The service and atmosphere were fine, but the food was a real letdown. My wife's meat was completely overcooked instead of medium, as she had ordered. The potatoes served with it were bland and uninspired. My steak was cooked well and tasted okay, but the grilled polenta was dry and lacked any flavor. The starter, bruschetta, was actually the best part of the meal. The wine was very good. When I pointed out that the meat was overdone, there was no reaction from the staff—not even a gesture like offering an espresso as a courtesy. There are definitely better places in the area that offer higher quality food at similar prices.

The food here was great! The bathroom is a litle small but its okay! The food was way beyond our expectations if you're looking for good sea food i recomend getting the grilled calamar.

The restaurant looks pretty cozy and their menu is inviting. Unfortunately we did not reserve a table in advance, but they offered us to take some pizzas to takeaway if we could not come back the following days. So we took our dinner with a view. We'll make sure to come back and enjoy the their full service as well. PS.: Make sure to reserve! :)

I have found restaurant Ružmarin accidentally on google maps with such a good reviews. I tried and i have to say, that due total full the waiter did his best and found a place for us (without any reservation). Staff was very kind and profesional, waiting time about 15-20min. (as i mentioned, restaurant was full!) Meal was amazing, great flavored, visually appealing and tasted! I definitely recommend this place to visit during your stay in Opatija (but make a reservation advanced) ! I’ll definitely come back soon.

Awesome experience! Everything served is local, made max 50 km from the place, including beer and beverages :) Highly recommend, you should book in advance because it is hard to get a place during the season.

Absolutely awesome dinner experience. We got lucky getting the big table the same day but the place only has like 7 or so tables total so book ahead. All food is local sourced and organic...and is cooked to perfection across the board. The menu changes daily so there's going to always be something new and exciting. The beef cheeks and stingray were amazing. The staff were super friendly, helpful and genuine. Definitely recommend!

Plavi Podrum is the kind of place you stumble upon in a charming little port and then immediately start planning your return. We dove into a sea of flavor—especially the langoustines, which were the undeniable stars of the show. Fresh, tender, and perfectly cooked, they tasted like the Adriatic on a good day. The rest of the seafood didn’t fall far behind, each dish simple, elegant, and full of flavor. The service? Spot on. Friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming—like they were just as happy we were there as we were. With boats gently rocking nearby and the smell of the sea in the air, this was more than just a meal—it was a full-on coastal escape. Plavi Podrum is a small port treasure with a big heart (and even bigger langoustines).

We had an amazing dinner at this beautiful restaurant. The food was exceptional—every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. Their wine selection is great and perfectly complemented the meal. Recommend!

We came to finish our business meeting with our Croatian colleagues during the dinner. The place is very unique - running by the family in 3rd generation. Very special dishes prepared with passion and enthusiasm. The staff is service oriented, always kind and asking when necessary. Selection of drinks is also amazing.

Amazing restaurant, definitely top 5 in Opatijska riviera. Great take on fine dining, plus traditional specialties. For example there is octopus made more towards fine dining and black squid risotto made in traditional way. I loved the amazing selection of the olive oils including best of 2020. Great dessert as well.

We visited Plavi Podrum on July 23rd for lunch after a lovely morning of sea fishing with my husband and son. The food was absolutely incredible — every bite was a delight, the setting was magical, and our waiter was kind, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We were so impressed that we left the restaurant in high spirits. As we had just caught some fresh fish, we kindly asked if we could leave our catch in their fridge for a couple of hours to prevent it from spoiling. A lady who seemed to be either the manager or the owner politely agreed, took our fish, and reassured us that we could come back later to collect it. We were grateful and trusted their hospitality. However, when we returned 2–3 hours later, everything changed. The staff on duty was different — a young man and a woman (both pictured). I approached the woman, explained our situation, and to my shock, she didn’t even look at me. Her attitude was cold, arrogant, and dismissive. We had just come from the beach, so perhaps we didn’t look our finest, but the way she treated us made us feel like we were unworthy of even being acknowledged. It was deeply humiliating. I politely asked her to check with the kitchen — she ignored me completely. Eventually, the male waiter came over and, at first, was also quite rude and unhelpful. But thankfully, he did go to the kitchen, checked, and finally returned our fish. Let me be clear: the food is outstanding, the ambiance is unforgettable — Plavi Podrum is clearly a special place. But this experience left a sour taste in our mouths. A restaurant of this level should not only pride itself on its cuisine, but also on consistent respect and warmth towards its guests — no matter how they’re dressed or when they return. We left feeling disappointed, not because of the meal, but because of how we were made to feel. Respect costs nothing — but it means everything.

We have been there for the first time on thursday. The service was great, we had such a nice lady called Michaela. She was super thoughtful and made our visit special! The food was also great, I really enjoyed the truffle sauce. Also the atmosphere outside was so calming. Hopefully we‘ll come back any time :)

The restaurant was also top-notch, offering carefully chosen meals and an excellent breakfast in an authentic atmosphere, served by top professionals.

I am posting a single picture. This is an order of 2 double espresso coffees and 2 gin n tonics. As you can see and as other people here state this is a total scam. Each dose of espresso was charged at 5€, and the two tonic water bottles charged at 8€ each. Inflation is a thing, but this is an 800% price markup? This is the balkans guys. And from one balkan person to the other, we are famous for our hospitality, not for ripping people off. Avoid this or pay for a coffee and a drink, what you would pay in a very decent restaurant in the area

Very nice place, elegant and cozy. Went there three times during our stay in Opatija and had the beef steak it was perfect!

Place is beautiful but the food is extremely overpriced. There was only one waiter for the entire reataurant, so it took too long to get our food, even though at the time of our arrival only 3 other tables were occupied. He was obviously doing his best but it did not help the overall dissapointing feeling that we had from this place and experience. Also they charged us 20 euro for 0,1 l of wine which was 6,5 euro in the menu. Unfortunatey we discovered it only after we left Opatija, so we could not claim it.

We came to this restaurant because of the good reviews. At first, there was at minimum 5 waiters but only 1 was working. After 25 minutes he brought menu, but I had to ask for it. When we asked for something from the younger waiters they told us they sent the main waiter that they can't or don't know!! We order 2 starters and 1 main course. The starter came after 50 minutes as we ordered and the main food came after 1 hour and 30 minutes!!!!!!!!! To the main course they gave a bad side dish!!! Instead of trofie pasta we got croquette. As a bonus the waiter pour out our glass of wine at the table then he refilled it but at the end we found out that on our bill was 3 glasses of wine instead of 2 he counted the one which he pour out!The food was average. We paid for 2 starters, one main course, bottle of water and 5 glasses of wine 87€. Never ever! Prišli sme do tejto reštaurácie na základe dobrých odporúčaní, na zaačiatku sme zistili, že tam pobehovalo 5 čašníkov avšak len 1 obsluhoval. Po cca 25 minútach nám priniesol jednálny lístok, aj to som ho musela o to požiadať. Keď sme si niečo pýtali od mladších čašníkov, povedali, že to nemôžu alebo nevedia a pošlú kolegu. Objednali sme si dve predjedlá a jedno hlavné jedlo. Predjedlá prišli po 50 minútach a hlavné jedlo po 1 hodine a 30 minútach!!! K hlavnému jedlu dali zlú prílohu! Namiesto maslových cestovín nám priniesli krokety!!! Ako bonus nám čašník rozlial víno na stole, avšak to by nebolo nič hrozné keby nám nezarátal aj to rozliate víno, čiže namiesto 2 pohárov sme zaplatili za 3. Jedlo bolo priemerné. Za 2 predjedlá, jedno hlavné jedlo, fľašu vody a 5 pohárov vína sme zaplatili 87€. Nikdy viac!

I enjoyed every minutes I spent here! The food was really excellent, both the starter (mixed seafood) and the main dish (daily fish, octopus and calamari, pasta). The desserts (lemon mousse, apple strudel) were outstanding. I was very happy of the local beer, San Servolo. I’m highlighting the service we get all the evening: kind, courteous, funny, entertaining. All in all it was one of our best restaurant experience in Croatia ever!

Deserves top rating on food quality . We tried the white fish carpaccio, the fish soup and the” lobster plate. “ Absolutely amazing ! Now the bad part: I naively asked, what the next door table was having. I saw it was pasta with giant prawns.(not one, but a large plate) The older waiter guy who served us, said, it’s a special dish, that’s not on the menu. This part is ok, it’s a special dish, but the wrong doing is when the waiter doesn’t inform you, what this “special dish” is going to be, (prawns or lobsters) and how much, so you won’t get a big surprise at the end of your meal. And feeling betrayed. The bill came to nearly 300 euros. Don’t be fooled by this nice local cosy atmosphere!

Excellent place! The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything. For starters they served some olive oil of the house, which is simply fantastic! Homemade pastas are highly recommended. We loved the service as well, we really felt welcomed there. It was our last day of our vacation and it was the perfect closure! :)

A lovely restaurant with a charming terrace and cozy indoor seating. The menu offers plenty of delicious options for true hedonists and bon vivants. The taste of the homemade pasta or fish dishes is simply wonderful. I highly recommend the homemade tortelloni filled with sea bass – OMG, I could easily eat two portions if only they’d fit in my stomach! Wishing you a buon appetito and a joyful experience!

Restaurant Tramerka located in the streets of picturesque Volosko is a real discovery. The peaceful surroundings of the seaside town give a special charm to everything. The waiter is very polite and funny and just right as he deserves all the praise. The food is a little more expensive compared to the rest and the portions are really small as if you are eating a cold appetizer. The choice of food on the menu is quite enough for everyone. The house wine is too expensive. The interior is very nicely decorated but the terrace is a real recommendation.

Tramerka is hidden on a narrow street between buildings in Volosko, but just a minute from the coast. The food was absolutely delicious - the two of us started with 3 starters (we were really hungry) and all three were great, but tuna tartare really stood out. The bread was warm, freshly baked. For main course, we had grilled octopus and a white fish (grdobina), which were also really tasty. The staff was very friendly. I recommend reserving a table up-front, especially if you wish to sit outside. Would recommend 10/10.

The best octopus I’ve eaten in Croatia! The place is very cosy, hidden from the main street, but definitely worth visiting! All the ingredients are fresh – a really great food experience! The service is very nice, 10/10!

We had an outstanding dinner at Konoba Tramerka. The cod pâté was silky and full of flavour, a perfect start to the meal. The tuna steak was cooked beautifully - tender, perfectly seasoned, and simply melted in the mouth. The pasta with mussels was equally impressive, fresh and rich with the taste of the sea. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, with that rustic charm you hope for in a konoba, and the service was friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive. A real gem - we’ll definitely be coming back!

We ended up going here two nighs in a row and loved it both times. It's small and unassuming with a very chill atmosphere. The owner/server is friendly, helpful and clearly understands good food and service. They have some fresh offers each day that are not on the menu. We had a tuna tartare, both the octopus and cuttlefish salads, the marinated white fish and anchovies, the mussels, the prosciutto and had a chance to eat the lamb ispod peke. Every dish was wonderful. The house wine (both red and white) we're also very good. We'd highly recommend this place and can't wait to be back.

I expected more from the place. It is not bad but I would not extraordinary. The view is excellent. The food was Ok but nothing special thus overpriced. The waiter did his job well.

Best lunch we had in our 6 days stay here in Croatia! The service was excellent, with helpful and insightful waiters. The environment is beautiful, calm and the music is not too loud but very nice to have while eating. Not the cheapest place but the prices represent the quality perfectly. Thank You!

What a special place. Remarkable value, the very best of food and wine. Honestly worth every penny. The waiter Mio is hugely knowledgable. Don’t panic if he suggests x or y with no price. We had a three course meal, wine and a glass of fizzy each for 170 euro. For the quality it is worth every penny. You will not be disappointed.

The neapolitan pizza is very good, the place and view are super nice, the staff is friendly, and the Italian desserts are top. They also have a very tasty local limoncello. Highly recommend!

We were there this evening. Excellent food - fish cooked to perfection! Our waiter was named Daniel, he gave excellent suggestions for wine, fish and all that went with it. Not pushy, simply friendly and helpful! We enjoyed our evening and are thankful to Daniel for his happy and helpful attitude! Recommendable!

We passed by this restaurant and thought it looked cute for lunch. We were looking for an easy quick bite. We ordered our drinks and later the food. Once the fish soup arrived, we were already shocked by the presentation. Also, there was no single piece of fish inside (not even a fishy taste), it was overly salty, and there was raw rice on the bottom. We sent it back straight to the kitchen. The octopus salad arrived and looked quite good for its presentation. However, it had a glibber/slimy texture (apparently normal) but was overloaded with black pepper and, therefore, inedible. We sent it back to the kitchen as well. Then we also ordered a grilled octopus (special wishes: no sauce, oil, etc with cherry tomatoes). The presentation was ok, same as for its taste but nothing wow. Lastly a Nicoise salad: the sauce did not seem Homemade, luckily there was not too much so we could add some seasoning ourselves. We felt bad for the waiter. Obviously, it was not his mistake, but he had to listen to all our complaints (though service could definitely be improved as well…). Anyways, they crossed out all food from our bill, which was much appreciated (though not necessary for the two dishes we ate). We hope this place can make some improvements, location-wise it’s cool!

This was The best place we ate at during our holiday in Croatia!! The overall vibe was amazing! A terrace in the shadow with life music and fairy lights. The service was professional and the food was AMAZING!! (Our dog was also welcome!)

Fantastic place for outdoor dinner with the family as there was live music for adults and a playground in the back to keep kids occupied. Service was exceptionally good and the food was delicious — particularly the local ham that our waiter recommended as an antipasti. Beautiful desserts and chocolates at the end of the meal as well. We’ve been coming to Mala Riba for years, and they never fail to impress us! This was our first visit to their new location, and also the first time with our little son – everything was just perfect. The food is always outstanding, the hospitality and kindness of the staff make you feel at home, and the whole atmosphere is simply wonderful. Their seafood starters are absolutely fantastic – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. It’s no surprise that our whole family, as well as friends both from nearby and from further away, keep coming back here again and again. Mala Riba is truly a place that brings people together over amazing food and genuine warmth.🤎

Great restaurant with a wide selection of seafood dishes. We had to wait a bit for a table, but the waitress let us know how long it would take, and luckily we got seated right on time—we really didn’t feel like looking for another place. The food was tasty and the portions were huge 😊 I especially want to mention our waitress, Paola — she was super sweet and friendly.💜 Even though she was really busy, she still found time for everyone. We visited the restaurant in Matulji. My wife's food was so salty that she could not eat it, and she left the full plate. Though we complained about it, it was put on the bill that we should pay for. My fish ( superior class ) was charged as 0.82 kilos, where it actually was about 0.4 kilos. The fish is not cleaned of the bones in front of you on the table, so you do not see the the actual size. They did the same thing for the neighbouring table, and the guest asked to see the fish. The other table ordered lower cost fish, but were served the expensive one, which they had to pay for. The waiter pretended he did not hear them well when ordering. The bread which in the menu is with olive oil is a regular toast. Very low quality. This is definitely the last time I visited this restaurant. They may pretend, but they are not worth the visit. Thank you and regards.

Mala Riba – this is how seafood should be We visited twice in one week – and would happily go again. Mala Riba is everything a true seafood restaurant should be: honest, simple, fresh, and full of the sea. They have their own fishing boat, and you can tell. The fish is genuinely fresh – not just something they say, but something you can taste. On our first visit, we had the fritto misto – the best we’ve ever had. Tiny red mullet, hake, turbot… all lightly fried to perfection: crisp, delicate, and full of flavor. The second time – local Adriatic squid. Not frozen, not imported – but the real thing. Firm, tender, and full of sea aroma. Just perfect. The cold starters are displayed in the chilled case, and it’s hard to choose – everything looks tempting. If you get the chance, don’t miss the octopus salad, marinated hake, or broad beans with shrimp. A proper little feast. Service is polite, warm, and unpretentious. The atmosphere is casual, coastal, and welcoming – the kind of place where locals eat, and where you feel immediately at ease. Mala Riba is where seafood is done right. No fuss, no show – just honest food, made with heart.

Not even worth 1 star. Scammers! Tip: only order from the menu where you can see the price. And check your receipt! They charge more than you order!!! Real scam. We paid €120 for 2 people and it was small portion, bland and way too oily. We had stomach problems afterwards. Later on the receipt we saw they charged food we didn't even have. They show the fish then fillet inside and give you only some little pieces. Maybe it's even another fish, who knows, and they charge the highest price. We ordered 1 glass of wine, they charge 0,5L. Terrible!

I recently dined at The Restaurant Ariston, which I initially found on the Michelin Guide, and my experience was decent overall. I have to say, I’m a bit confused as to why it’s on the guide at all. The atmosphere was pleasant, with cozy lighting and comfortable seating, and a stunning sea view. The menu offered a good variety of dishes, and I decided to try the beef carpaccio and the veal. The beef carpaccio dish was a solid 8/10, only comment being to perhaps reduce the amount of “toppings”, as it overpowers the delicate taste of the meat itself. The veal was cooked well, but the seasoning was somewhat bland, the wine reduction was slightly overcooked with a bitter aftertaste. The potatoes were great, as for asparagus, I feel it needed to be roasted rather than boiled / steamed; the pumpkin puree on the other hand was great, but the mint sauce didn’t pair well with the rest of the dish in my opinion. I would give this dish a 7/10. One thing I could say about the dish is that the ingredients felt fresh. The wine recommended by our waiter Sergio was wonderful. Our waiter Sergio was very efficient, attentive, friendly and professional. I believe something was wrong with the kitchen pace though because the food took a very long time to come out: the starters (cold, raw dishes, that don’t need to be cooked) came out 35’ after we ordered. The mains 45’ later. So the whole dinner took almost 3 hours. The price (€155 for 4 dishes and 2 glasses of wine and water) would have been reasonable for a Michelin Guide experience, but given the overall experience and primarily the taste of the food, I expected a bit more. Overall, The Restaurant Ariston is an okay choice for a casual meal, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

We visited Villa Ariston last night without a reservation, and even though the restaurant was completely booked, the team still managed to find us a table spontaneously – such a wonderful surprise! From the very first moment, the service was beyond amazing: the staff was not only attentive but also genuinely warm and sweet. We followed all of their recommendations, including a bottle of Malvazija Istrian wine, which was simply outstanding and paired beautifully with the dishes. The food itself was absolutely delicious – refined yet full of authentic flavor. What struck us the most, however, was the incredible hospitality. The staff paid attention to every detail and made us feel truly welcome. The terrace view over the Adriatic is magical, creating the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening. And as a huge plus – the restaurant is dog-friendly, which made the experience even more special for us. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Opatija – Villa Ariston is a gem where fine dining, hospitality, and breathtaking views come together perfectly.

Unbelievably Slow and Disrespectful! We arrived at 8:00 pm. They took our order at 9:00 pm, came back at 9:30 pm just to ask for drinks, served the first dish at 10:00 pm, and the second at 11:00 pm — with a hair in it. After taking it away, they returned 45 minutes later. Staff acted like we didn’t exist, and the same thing was happening to the two tables next to us. Over four hours wasted for two very average dishes. They think endless waiting is “Michelin star” service — in reality, it was slow, neglectful, and one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had

They served us some thawed out fish, that the waiter specially offered for us. The food would have been 3/10 in a no name diner but here it was just ridiculous. This would already be one of the worst experience I ever had with a restaurant but than they brought out the bill. We paid 180€ for one meal and two proseccos. Stay away if you can.

This is a pizzeria as it should be. A variety of beautiful rustic short crust pizzas ready made to take a slice away. I also tried the cevapi. I now understand why this has been a regional favourite for centuries. A great place.

You skimp on pizza ingredients, using cottage cheese instead of mozzarella and poor-quality dried ham instead of real prosciutto. Unluckily, you seem to believe that your guests won't know the difference.

We had a very well prepared burger here. I consider the two-euro price for half a liter of water unreasonable in a place where you eat from a paper bag while sitting in the window on a tiny stool.

We bought a Classic Sandwich, which was lightly grilled. We sat at a bench at the near-by Park sv Jakova and enjoyed the delicious sandwich!

Good prices for great food. Nice staff (English spoken). Very popular, so it can get busy, but worth the wait. Standing/takeaway only. No parking. We got a meatball sandwich (35 kuna) and wok dish with pasta (35 kuna). Will go back again!

Wonderful Italian cuisine. We started with the cold meat and cheese platter. 3 cheeses and 3 meats with marinated olives and peppers. We complimented that with an herbed foccatta, excellent! My husband had a foccatta with a lamb sausage and I had the tallagatti pasta with shrimp. The wait staff was attentive and gave excellent recommendations based on our preferences. The bathroom and facilities were clean. Go early if you don't want to wait for a table. They serve other international dishes, but the headliners are their Italian dishes.

Dinner menu is great and just like the reviews (don't bother coming for lunch which is a different menu and basic). Got dinner here though and had recommended Tuna dish that was freshly caught that day. Very tasty and cooked to perfection. Wine recommendations were on point and we're very tasty. Highly recommend the Affogato for desert 👍

Restaurant Laurus offers a delightful dining experience with a sophisticated atmosphere and delicious dishes. The menu isn’t particularly diverse, but the dishes were fresh with high-quality ingredients, and the flavours were well-balanced. I had the lobster and it was great! One star short of perfection due to the presentation of the main courses, desert (pancakes) being cold, and slightly slow service.

When I came in person, they recommended me to book a table even though the restaurant was basically empty. When I told them that I wanted to eat now, they said it was possible. The food looks well but the taste is rather average. The service forgot about me asking for gluten-free meals and I got a soup with non-gluten free bread in it, the waiter even forgot all about my salad that should have gone with the main meal. The orange juice was not fresh. Everyone looked so serious, not even a slight smile, it felt so cold. The service was fast and the place was nice.

We had enjoyed lunch the previous day at Vongola, so booked for the busy Saturday evening of the Opatija Retro festival. It didn’t disappoint both the food and service were excellent. Delicious home cooked style Italian food. We shared a fish platter. The waiter filleted the sea bass and sea bream at the table. Plenty of clams and muscles in the dish. The chard which was served with the fish was garlicky and delicious. We chose a fig desert and panna cotta with berries. The service was friendly and quick. The waiter suggested good local wine for our meal. A lovely setting by the sea.

Service was slow — we waited quite a while to be noticed. Prices are high for the quality. The bruschetta was just a soggy bun, not crispy at all. The crepes with Nutella were undercooked, stiff, and barely had any filling. The view is just okay, nothing special. Overall, disappointing experience.

Really fun to look at the ocean and watch people pass by inside the old K and K sentiment. The architecture speaks of another time, the grand villas at the ocean are quite opulent and rich, some a bit dilapidated which actually gives them some charm. The monarchy produced memorable infrastructure inside wide spread poverty. One wonders about current quality of buildings - definitely available to a broad middle class but often so faceless.

Had dinner at the restaurent Bevanda. Made pre reservation. Got seated on time. Excellent views of the bay. Ordered basil gnocchi pasta. So soft and delicious. Had glass of red wine. Good service. Good dessert - had Lava cake with icecream. Slight obstruction of view on one side due to temporary construction. Recommended.

The food at Bevanda is really good, and the price-performance ratio for the dishes themselves is fair. Unfortunately, there was one big downside: at the end, we were charged €7 service fee per person – supposedly for the “table.” We were neither informed about this beforehand nor was it clearly stated on the menu. For me, such a fee is absolutely unusual, and it leaves a very unpleasant aftertaste. It feels like hidden costs or even a bit of a rip-off. Conclusion: Excellent kitchen, but intransparent service – sadly, not a place I would visit again.

We took the sea food platter for two which was absolutely disgusting, tuna tataki, scampi, was frozen served, we didnt try the rest, I let the waiter know that it was very bad, we had ordered sea bass grilled also, didnt expect to be good but that was 4/5.

If you’re looking for a five-star experience… keep looking. Let’s start with the “parking.” Forget about a covered garage, valet, or anything remotely resembling security. At Bevanda, you park your car right next to the Adriatic Sea and pray Poseidon doesn’t decide to test your insurance coverage overnight. Nothing says luxury like wondering if you’ll need scuba gear just to reach your car. Our “luxury” room? Well, the toilet paper holder was broken (maybe their definition of rustic chic?) and the minibar light was possessed—blinking all night like a nightclub in Ibiza. We had to tape paper over it just to sleep. Five stars indeed. Now, about that breakfast. Imagine a 5-star buffet with million different options… and then erase that image completely. No buffet here, just an a la carte menu with eight “options”: four types of eggs, three smoothies, some chopped fruit, and French toast. Add coffee and two mini croissants (yes, two)—because who needs more when you’re paying hundreds a night, right? To make it even better, the quality declined every day. By day four, it felt like the kitchen was trying to see just how bad eggs can get before guests riot. Amenities? Oh, you mean the single private beach they proudly advertise. Except it was closed for half our stay.. so two days—apparently someone needed to measure it. On the two days it was “open,” the grand offering was a lonely kayak we had to drag into the water ourselves, then drag back out. We even asked one of the staff for help, and he did so grudgingly, cussing under his breath like we’d asked him to move a yacht. And getting into the water? You either leap in like a contestant on Survivor or attempt a death-defying descent down wobbly metal stairs. Luxury, indeed. When we asked about leaving early since they literally removed the only amenity (and the weather was stormy anyway), we were told: sure, you can leave, but you’ll still be paying for all four nights. Their “solution”? A free one-night voucher—valid until December. Because obviously, everyone has unlimited vacation time to come back in winter and sit around at a 5-star “beach hotel” with no pool, no spa, no gym, and nothing to do once summer is over. In short: broken room fixtures, rude staff, mediocre food, no amenities, and a parking situation that doubles as an anxiety exercise. Bevanda may have five stars, but I’d give it one—solely because zero isn’t an option. Will I ever return? Absolutely not. Unless, of course, I develop a strange craving to waste money while being treated like an inconvenience. Five stars? More like five jokes.

The food at Ostatija Veranda in Opatija is truly exceptional – beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with passion. Each dish reflects the fine quality of the kitchen and made our evening very special. The only small note is that the service felt a bit too quick and somewhat impersonal compared to the high standard of the food. Still, overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and we would happily return to enjoy the cuisine again.

Lovely restaurant. Great find just outside of Opatija. Waterfront views. Lovely location. The food was good, just that the risotto was and ravioli were both a little, slightly under done. We found them both still hard and could've done cooked for a few more minutes. Nonetheless, they were tasty. We shared the tuna tartare and that was delicious. The highlight was the homemade bread. The service was friendly and good.

It is truly an experience to sit on the terrace by the sea and have a beautiful view. The food and types of food are very good and you can choose something for every taste. The wine selection is also at an enviable level. The desserts are nothing special which is a bit disappointing. The waiters are polite and unobtrusive which is very important to me.

We visited Ostaria Veranda in the village of Volosko, a charming little fishing spot. They served wonderfully fresh fish—our scorpion fish was beautifully presented and really tasty. The only downside was the kids’ menu: it only had one option, chicken and chips, which wasn’t very appetizing or healthy. We’d definitely suggest they add a few more kid-friendly, maybe fish-based options. On the plus side, the live violin and piano music in the background was lovely. Overall, great food for the adults, just a bit limited for the kids.

A nice hotel near the sea side and starting point for tours on 🚢. Generally the hotel decoration is good, it doesn't have a swimming pool, but the hotel next to it 'krystal' has one (with salty 🌊), the reception told us we could use it, but then the guy at the pool told us they don't accept anymore, so it's not clear. Anyway as it is salty water it doesn't have much interest compared to going in salty sea water then, apart from the shower of course. The hotel beds are firm, but ok. The room we had was large with a terrace, so it was good for a small family with one kid (we had an extra bed for our daughter) Breakfast was good except the hot chocolate, it would be best to provide hot milk and cocoa powder like Caotina separately than the one produced by the machine.

Charming old hotel on the Adriatic coast with a great seaside location. Tasty breakfasts and peaceful atmosphere. However, the mattress in our room was very old and uncomfortable. Best suited for guests 70+ looking for a quiet and nostalgic getaway. Not ideal for younger travelers.

Compared to the Hotel Kristal, the sister hotel nextdoor, I would definitely recommend people to go to this hotel. The hotel room was fantastic, newly renovated. Staff was extremely friendly and provided very direct and straightforward instruction. Compared with the hotel I've stayed in North America, the food in this hotel was above average (may be 7 out of 10). I've read through some comments complaining about the dinner buffet, but I was lucky that I hadn't gone through such a bad experience. Food was refilled promptly. The mixed fish filets was amazing! A must to try it. Overall, as a 3 stars hotel it worths the value. Recommended!

Along with the fish, there are other seafood options that are equally tasty. The service was quick, the portions generous, and the prices very reasonable, which makes it a great choice both for locals and visitors. Definitely worth trying if you want something authentic and satisfying.

Location nice, personnel very friendly. Wine was good too. But the food absolutely below average of whole Croatia. At very high prices, even though you have to consider the high price area and it looked good on the plate. I would call it a typical tourist trap. We had the octopus salad, bruschettes an squids. The service and the first courses were okay. We had the rustic platter and the meat carpaccio. Afterwards I had a pasta carbonara which was overcooked and looked yellow from the curry which was very strange, after a complaint they said it was the egg yolk, but anyway it tasted strange. Casa tua deserves 3 star from me only to leave the space for the best of the best restaurants. Nice restaurant, ambient comfortable, meat prepared good, bruschetta delicious except the one with truffle cream which was not maximum of the flavour. Wine was sauvignon from Korak, smooth not too acid fine wine, dessert was limited to one choice, no ice-cream, no pancakes whish for Croatia is a must have. Price and value for money : you will pay 10 € for 5 slices of carpaccio tuna, 3 small slices of grilled meat with cherry tomato and mozzarella 15€, plus potatoes 5€, adriatic squids 20€.

Nicely decorated, decent service, water views, but over priced with very small portions. The Veal Saltimbocca (pictured) was ok, but barely a tapas sized portion with no side dishes, for almost €17. The fried Adriatic squid was also a small portion and not hot, tender, or very crispy. The squid was lukewarm, heavy, damp, and rubbery, and without any potatoes or sides and also priced at about €17. The baked sweet potatoes (an a la carte side dish) were undercooked and without much taste or flavor. They also, strangely, do not accept credit cards and instead hosting a high fee atm on site. All bad signs of a poorly thought out restaurant that is more intent on pulling in one time visitors (tourists) rather than repeat visitors or locals. This place could really be great with its stylish decor and a cool location along the waterfront, but it needs a new menu and complete overhaul.

The location is very nice indeed to enjoy food. I also liked the house wine, however the pizza itself was average. I expected bit more after reading Google reviews. My husband also had a pizza and also said it was kind of ok'eish but not great.

The location is quite nice, we love the view! If you wanna have a pizza or fried fish, that’s the right place! But i really believe they have to work on their pasta 🙈 it was a tomato sauce with vine in it but they forgot to reduce the vine and evaporate the alcohol, by the end of the pasta we almost got drunk 🙈 the waitress was nice but at the same time was not so interested with us. Overall it was a nice place, i would go again but would not order pasta.

Very lovely food at a very reasonable price and drinks super cheap. The service was great the main waiter was working so hard. Went here a few times as we enjoyed it so much. A very varied menu and quality food. We tried pizza, pastas, burgers, desserts and salads and enjoyed them all! Salads were huge. Gorgeous views. Whenever we are on holiday in Opatija, we always come here for dinner, as their pizza is simply unmissable and always delicious. Last time we also tried the Vega Roll, which is a very tasty vegetable and cheese roll.

Food was okish, half of meals is not available beacuse they do not want to serve cheap meals ( grill chef told to waiter to stop suggestions on them) , fries were soggy. Calamari were good, but not so good that i would return back.

We came here on a Friday night without a reservation last summer. The place was completely packed but the boss still found us a place to sit. The service was super friendly throughout and the food was just okay. Since it was so busy, it was difficult to get the attention of the servers but they eventually came through after some time.

Octopus is really great! Must try! Just as a warning, you probably better check in advance what is the weight of if to avoid surprise when paying. The one on the photo is 2,5 kg?! >> 752 KN (~100 EUR) Otherwise really great place! Great service!

Within our 5 day stay we went 3 times to the Grill house Opatija. Menu with a variety of fresh seafood and grilled pork and beef, very friendly service, great view close to the ocean. Big recommendation!!!

Warm and welcoming service, offering great help and advice. Food is fresh, local and balanced. Veal was tender and full of favours. Risotto with scampi and mushrooms was incredible and the pistachio sufle with ice cream with dash of rosmario was out of this world. House wine Malvasia by CUJ is always good choice if you are not in to bottle of wine. Highly recommend 👌

We had an early dinner there and it was fantastic. Food is focused on local and seasonal ingredients. Everything was very tasty, and the service was A+. I would definitely recommend it. It is on the pricier side but worth every cent.

The good, the place is nice and the food is mostly ok depending on what they have that day. The bad the portions are laughably small, you will exit the restaurant hungry unless you order double everything, but don't worry you will pay full price despite the small portion.

So worth the experience. This place was part of Insight Vacations excursion, touring different regions of Croatia, so husband and I went there as a tour group. Since we were at seaside, it made sense to choose fish as main dish. We were so impressed with all the dishes served. To start, lentil vegetable soup was hot, light and delicious. I'm always partial to soups. This soup had the perfect flavors. Main course was baked/ poached seabass over a bed of spinach/potato and carrots. The seabass was super fresh, and the vegetables blended so well making the entire dish sweet and absolutely delicious. There was nothing left; I ate everything except the wax paper! Lastly was the dessert. Don't ask me what it was, it was simply divine with the yellow sauce. I'm just jealous of the locals here who can have access to this place; I would love to come back if I have a chance!

A truly superb restaurant near Opatija, family-run with a warm yet highly professional atmosphere. The food is outstanding — thoughtfully prepared, rooted in tradition yet presented with finesse. I had the knee of a boskarin, and it was incredibly tender, rich in flavour, and slow-cooked to perfection. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience authentic Istrian/Kvarner cuisine with a refined twist.

We did enjoy the meal, service is great, vine was good, i found some of the potatos were not cooked as well as others, but other than that good job, fish, pasta and lava cake delicious.

This restaurant is in a great location right on the sea front. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food was great, salad was fresh, chips were crispy and freshly cooked. I had the Turkey stuffed with prosciutto and cheese and the salad with cheese (Greek salad). I can't fault anything, the dishes were large and filling and as much as I wanted to have dessert, I was too full which was disappointing. Home made olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table was tasty. I can recommend this place. Very happy 😊

One of the worst meals I've had in my life. The apperoll spritz had no apperol and tasted like water, the mussles had dairy in them despite them telling us there was no dairy, the grilled cheese is actually just deep fried cheese and the fries were super soggy. This place should be avoided and anyone who is giving it 5 stars has clearly never been to a half decent restaurant. No vegan options and maybe one vegetarian option. Nice location but never again.

The feeling of hunger accidentally led us to this restaurant. There were not too many visitors, we were quickly brought menus and drinks. The staff speaks multiple languages, English is easy. The food was delicious, the bill was not big, the restaurant is located on a barge, but the toilet is nearby in the hotel building. The toilet is not very well maintained, so visitors to the hotel, visitors to the yacht club and the hotel can use it. Apparently there are many visitors and cleaning is not often carried out in the toilet. The restaurant itself is well thought out, the menu is built competently. Even silicone napkins on the tables speak of a reasonable approach to service. I recommend and I will come again.

We had the seafood platter for 2 people, grilled vegetables, bruschetta and drinks. The fish platter was more than enough for 3 people. It was all very delicious. The tuna for over cooked, but aside from that, it was excellent. The location and atmosphere were great. The service was good, all in all, a great experience.

The Boutique Restaurant is super. The food is delicious, great value for money, and the service is excellent. We are here on holiday and go whenever we can. We have recommended it to our friends and they have gone and feel exactly the same. We highly recommend the Boutique Restaurant to anyone who wants a very enjoyable meal. The only problem is that they do not take bookings and at busy times you may have to queue for a little while to get a table, but it's well worth the wait. Hope you enjoy your meal, we always do! Nice vegetarian options. Very good vegetable risotto. Friendly staff. The hamburger was a bit weird cus it was only the meat, but at least the waitress warned us when we ordered it.

Good place. Have tried mussels. They don’t serve still water for free like in other restaurants in Croatia. Was a little strange. Also the small rain has started. The waiter had closed the window near me which made my stay there impossible. It was incredibly hot. The conditioner wasn’t turn on (other windows remains opened). I think the waiter wanted to do it better but next time he can ask.

When we camera to the restaurant, terenie were plenty of not Reserved tables, but they told us to come to the corner where the dumpster was. We ordered a tomato soup and grilled vegetables. The soup was terribly oversalted, while vegetables were black from outside but raw inside. I do not recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant is located right next to a promenade and small harbor and it has a really nice ambient. There is a parking located 1 min away with 1.2€/h rate in summer. The food vas delicious and staff friendly. The price was lower than the competition that is why I went here, but still quite high (but that is Croatia in summer I guess). For 1 main dish and 2 beers we gave 30€. Would recommend

We visited the restaurant yesterday and, unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. First of all, the waiter forgot to write down part of our order. As a result, we had to wait much longer, and by the time the missing dish — chicken in breading, similar to a schnitzel — was ready, the side dish that had been served earlier had already gone cold. The schnitzel itself was almost inedible: it had no seasoning or flavor at all, not even salt could improve it. We also ordered spaghetti bolognese, which turned out to be completely tasteless. Unlike the schnitzel, they were edible, but far from enjoyable and definitely not worth the price. It felt like plain tomato paste diluted with water, with no spices, no salt, and only a tiny amount of minced meat. The pasta itself was fine, but it’s difficult to get pasta wrong. Finally, we ordered French fries, which, surprisingly, were also unsalted. Overall, we left dissatisfied with both the food and the service, and we cannot recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

I've tried seafood here for the first time in my life. The servers were very welcoming and took great care of us, they spoke a bit of our language. The view, the food, the experience was a 10/10 and it was one of the best souvenirs of my life. Thank you❤️

One of our favorite hotels we've ever stayed at. Great view of the water and large rooms. Breakfast was one of the most impressive spreads I've seen at a hotel. The place is dated and there were stains on the hallway carpets, but who cares? The one thing that could improve is the parking situation. Not having a place to temporarily park your car while you check in is not ideal. I had to park a several minute walk away to check-in.

On the main street, beautiful grand old hotel , however, not for rest. Patrons visiting, you must enjoy loud motor cars speeding and reving engines up & down the mainstreet all night, this is the place for your vacation. You'll love it! Also, no air-conditioning in rooms.

I would strongly advise avoiding this coffee bar if you value your time or expect even a basic level of professionalism. I waited a staggering 40 minutes just to be served a simple coffee, and the staff seemed completely overwhelmed despite the place not being particularly busy. What made the experience even worse was the manager. He actually saw me when I walked in, made eye contact, and still chose to leave me sitting there without service. Instead of stepping in to help, he wandered aimlessly around the café in shorts, looking more like a distracted customer than someone in charge. It was impossible to take him seriously, and his lack of leadership was clearly the reason everything was running so poorly. If you’re hoping for efficiency, good service, or any sign of competent management, look elsewhere. This place is a masterclass in how not to run a coffee bar.

Great location, staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and very clean. Wellness centre included in the price. Breakfast also included in price offered a vast range of option, with chef cooking eggs many ways. We had an issue in our room at 21:00 hours. The technician fixed the problem within 10 minutes. Fantastic service.

First thoughts where, what’s this place but after deciding to eat there it was fine. Big steak and right served like I asked. The pepper sauce could be a little more papperish. My girlfriend had the chicken file. The chicken was really chewy so that wasn’t a success

Really mixed feelings. First of all, food was great for that price. If you want to have some classic grilled dishes, this should be your place to go. But, the service is really not professional. We were waiting 1.5 hrs for our food. In the meantime it turned out, that they have mixed the orders of the different tables and during the whole night tried to serve dishes to all the people what they haven't ordered. Some guests even left the place as they were not served. Making eye contact with the waiters is mission impossible. They just did not care. At the end we did not have to pay for our drinks because of the poor service (I guess, as it was not admitted), but to be honest it would have been much better to pay for the whole dinner with a proper guest experience. Once we will come back to Opatija, I will give another try as I really liked the non-fancy, grill smoked atmosphere and the food was delicious, but I really hope for a better service.

As a tourist to the town of Opatija, we gave this place a try based on reviews and photos. The environment is a repurposed concrete soccer field. We arrived to find 7 tables occupied with plenty of room, two servers on the floor. We sat and waited to served, for easily more than 10 minutes. Ordered drinks and bread, and ordered at the same time. Watching other tables get seated, and have food brought out to them well after we ordered. Our table was ignored, I understand they're busy, but we felt slighted. The server ignored us. As we approached the 45 min mark, without our order or being acknowledged by the server, we left. The kicker is, as we were leaving she said good night to us with a smile on her face. I'm sure the food would have been good, but we didn't get our order. Also being a European country, smokers were all around us.

This is a great spot for families, the kids have lots of room to run around and play. Taking order and bringing drinks were very fast but we waited quite long for the food (we were the only eating customers at that time). Food was excellent. Great grilled calamari and tuna, meat was also great. Very good grilled veggies. Very generous portions. Pork skewer was not cooked properly. The wait for the bill was also quite long. Overall great food and great value for money, but be prepared to spend some time there.

Simple, delicious, authentic! This is a no frills, easy dining option with fantastic food, a fun atmosphere, and friendly staff. When in this area, we make it a point to visit this restaurant. It is frequented by locals and is a nice change from other locations with many tourists. I always recommend this restaurant when I know people are visiting the area.

Location next to the paid parking lot. Not so far from the park in Opatija. the offer of food is large and varied. Staff super friendly. A few tables outside along the bowling alleys. The portions are great, I have no complaints. Unfortunately the restrooms are outdated and require urgent renovation and modernization.

The restaurant is in a beautiful spot right by the port, and the staff were warm and welcoming, which created a lovely atmosphere. We ordered the octopus, which was delicious, though the portion felt a bit small for a main course. It also seemed like one component—possibly the potato—was missing, based on what we saw in other guests’ dishes. The calamari was well-prepared and tasty, but priced higher than expected. Both dishes were served with a black sauce that looked quite unusual and, unfortunately, didn’t quite suit our taste—it seemed like a mayo-based mix with something extra. One small disappointment was being charged for the bread, which was brought to the table without being offered or explained that it came at an additional cost. A quick heads-up from the staff would have been appreciated. Overall, there were definitely some enjoyable elements to the meal, but a few small details took away from the overall experience.

The restaurant is tucked away in a little cove so be prepared to park further away and walk. But this is very worth it when you get there. The food is delicious well presented. Special mention for the Fish Soup! The seafood meals were fresh. The lasagne was homestyle and of a large portion. We would recommend to move the smoking station a bit further away from the front entrance of the restaurant which pollutes the diners seated at the alfresco section enjoying their meals and the views. Overall the restaurant is a great experience.

A delightful restaurant overlooking the little harbour in Volosko. Excellent food and wine. Be warned the portions are huge. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious, from the starters of cheese, meat & bread to the mussels and pasta with shrimp. The waiter was helpful and proficient.

Beautiful place with a view of the marina. Excellent service and decent food. We both had pasta with sausage and mushrooms and it was a large portion. A bit on the salty side and we would have liked a green salad but alas there wasn’t one on the menu. I recommend it for a cozy lunch or dinner with Italian food.

We ate here as part of a group and were given the option of meat menu or fish menu. I opted for the fish and was not disappointed at all. The food was fresh, tasty and well presented and there were no complaints from any of my table. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and there was no waiting for drinks or refills. I would certainly recommend Bianco & Nero, and would certainly come back again.

Good lunch stop for us to enjoy the Black Cuttlefish Risotto & a grilled Daily Catch with Swiss chard! Parking just at the door steps makes for better convenience to take this stop! Food was delicious!

This restaurant is the hidden gem of Opatija! The menu is tight and focused on quality local ingredients, everything we ordered from the meat, the soup, to the pasta and dessert was well prepared, presented and delicious, outclassing all the overpriced tourist places near the shore. The staff is helpful and quick, with good recommendations and banter from the head server. The ambience is simple and pleasant for conversation, with free parking for restaurant guests as a nice bonus. My only complaint is that there is a noticeable difference in food presentation, depending on who is working in the kitchen. This only affected one order and isn't enough to knock off a star. We will happily be returning in the future.

The best was definitely the attention... our waiter was extremely nice and attentive. However the food was average and honestly, the decorations were like stuck in time and kitsch, which is not entirely bad as even the music played takes you back to Yugo times and is an experience by itself.

We were just looking for a place to eat. Glad that we came across this place. Excellent and very friendly service. Food (we had mixed grilled meat as well as calamari etc) was delicious. Just the mangold/potatoes were a little to much cooked for me personally. Greeting from the kitchen as starter (zucchini, cheese and tomato) - nice idea. Worth a visit.

Retro style atmosphere. The staff was so nice and efficient. The range of food goes from fish to meat with many gastronomic variations. It was delicious. The price was fair even maybe the fairest in the surrounding if you compare the range, the quality and the taste. I definitely recommend. As we say in my country, you can go there with your eyes closed.

Great ambiance, location by the sea with fantastic views. The food and service was perfect, how server, Marin was courteous and attentive. He also made greats food and drink recommendations. This area is one of the most beautiful that I have visited. We stayed here with a tour group. Amazing breakfast buffet and the hotel is beautiful. Marble floors and tasteful furnishing throughout. Rooms are very comfortable and weather is perfect. We stayed three days. Very nice restaurants close by.

I have been many time in Milenij hotel but the quality every year is gettting even better! I was now for the first time when hotel was completely full, but all the personel was great. Especially restaurant, spa, reception but I need to mention hotel manager who was here all the time at our desposition. Beside, personel food in restaurant was great!! Kudos to chef… and everyone in the hotel!

We have spent several wonderful days at Hotel Milenij. The breakfast was among the best we’ve had, offering a variety of delicious dishes, perfectly topped off with a chocolate pancake. We had a fantastic experience at Ostarija Osojnak! We started with a delicious carpaccio accompanied by freshly baked warm bread — simply amazing. The mixed grill platter was a real highlight, featuring local specialties like Ćevapčići and Pljeskavica, all perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. The variety of salads was refreshing and flavorful, and for dessert, we highly recommend the pancakes with homemade jam. Every dish was clearly prepared with love and tradition. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere – highly recommended!

A nice, street near taverna serving the most well tasting dishes can be expected. The locations is situated in the back of a huge house, all areas nicely covered by roofs and it creates an area where you are comfortably placed. About 12 tables out side and a few more inside gives room for +100 eaters. It well decorated even though beeing almost simple and you can see the hard working grill chef working his bbq station. The service suggests and recommend a good selection of dishes, mainly based around meet and are happy to inform you about any dishes. House wine and selection of cold beer are more than appreciated. The food are well tasting and comes in large portions. In an posh area where many resturants competes only with views, decoration and surroundings, this litte gem serves more than good food under an relaxing atmosphere. A must when good food and a nice evening with no fuss are required. I would not hesitate to come back for another good meal in this lovely environment!

We stopped in for lunch on May 15. We were a party of 5 and sat outside. A big shoutnoit to our server Alexander. He was friendly and attentive and made sure we were all satisfied with our meals 🙂. 2 people ordered the hamburger with gouda cheese etc. and they were delicious! The other orders were also great! The beer was cold and all was good. Mina the chef did a fantastic job and we were all happy! 😊 Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦

We mostly ordered ćevapi and burgers here. Personally, I fell in love with the ćevapi. The prices are very low — surprisingly cheap for a place like this. The service is good, the food comes out quickly, and everything is tasty and filling. My family and I really liked this spot.

We had a hamburger and 2 kind of salad. The food is delicious, big portions, nice view to the see, kind staff, good service. They prepared the food fresh, fast and infront of us. The price is great, the atmosphere is nice, good place to eat with a child too. We had a special request because our doughter has food allergy and they were very helpful.

⭐ 1/5 – if I could give it minus five, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second. These fries were a culinary disaster. For the price, I expected something at least remotely crispy, hot, and edible. Instead, I got a soggy pile of potatoes that felt like someone had fished them out of a dishwasher. Crispiness? Zero. Flavor? If boredom had a taste, it would be this sad excuse for a side dish. They were greasy – but not in a good way. More like they’d been dunked in leftover oil from last year and then rinsed off with cold water, just in case. If someone served them to me blindfolded, I would’ve thought I was eating mashed potatoes shaped like sticks. And the price? Fries that cost as much as a full meal. I felt like I had just paid for my own disappointment.

The crust was rubbery, the edges were as hard as a sidewalk curb, and the cheese? More like a plastic impersonation. The sauce tasted like someone thinned down ketchup with the tears of disappointment. The pepperoni was so thin, it looked like someone just waved it at the pizza from a distance. The smell? More like a stench. The temperature? Either straight from the Arctic or straight out of a volcano – no middle ground whatsoever. If you love pizza, avoid this place like the plague. If you hate pizza – still, don’t risk it. This “delicacy” was an insult to Italy, to flour, and to my taste receptors.

The view from the cafe is great. The kitchen looks normal. But the service is disgusting! When they started pouring tap water into my cocktails, I became wary. At 11am, they refused to make coffee, although there is a coffee machine, apparently they were just too lazy. I bought ice cream for my child - they refused to give me a spoon for the child. I hope they just didn't like me, and you will have better luck.

I came here because of the high rating on Google Reviews, but it was a total disappointment. There was a long wait and at the end we got defrosted fish. The menu states that the fish is grilled, but it is not. The food was tasteless and of very low quality (more like fast food). I do not recommend this place. Additionally, the payment method is cash only, which speaks volumes about the establishment.

This is a Lovely small family owned restaurant along the Luongo Mare in Opatija. I had a leisurely lunch of fried Kalamari & returned for a dinner of pizza and Greek salad. We were truly disappointed. We sat down to have a few beers, and the waitress informed us that if we didn't plan on ordering food, we would have to finish our drinks quickly and leave, because they were expecting a crowd. Super big burgers. We, unaware of the size, ordered the usual combo of big burgers and big fries. It was way too much on a hot summer day. But the place is great, it is literally few steps away from the beach. There is a toilet in adjacent pub (also named Archie's). Parking is on the other side of the street, you have to go into what looks like residential estate, across the small bridge.

We visited here at the beginning of February 2022 and I was surprised at the size of these burgers! They're big! Taste was great and I would not hesitate to recommend. I was a little surprised that they still only accept cash but this is Croatia and many places still only have this one method of payment. Other than that, Archie's have good food and the location is excellent.

Went here for my birthday dinner with our two kids. Made reservations and enjoyed quick seating outside. Beautiful view, friendly service. Had rump steak which was much better than I had expected. Pizza and hamburger (huge!) for the kids, who enjoyed, but found the portions too big. Lemon sorbet and hot wild berries with ice cream and whipped cream as desert. Excellent. Must go if you in the area! Oh, and prices very reasonable.

We visited Nami Sushi in Opatija hoping to enjoy high-quality Japanese cuisine, but unfortunately, the sushi didn’t meet expectations. 🔹 The rolls were unevenly cut — some pieces were much larger than others, making them awkward to eat and visually unappealing. 🔹 The rice was cold and overly sticky — it stuck to other rolls and fell apart easily, with grains scattered across the plate. This suggests improper preparation or handling. 🔹 Taste-wise, it was average. While the ingredients seemed fresh, the cold and poorly textured rice negatively affected the overall experience. 📍 The atmosphere was nice, and the staff was friendly and polite. We hope this feedback is taken constructively — there’s definitely potential here, but more focus on technique and presentation is needed.

Amazing restaurant, I've went there 3 times during my stay in Opatija. They have the best Čevapčići I've eaten in my whole life. Apple Strudel was also absolutely delicious. It was the first time I’ve had a tortilla that was greasy. I ordered it with tomatoes, but instead it came with pickled peppers and some kind of sour sauce. The chicken was very fatty, which was unexpected. The portion was large — I ate half of it, but then ended up with an upset stomach.

Pizzas are good, burger is also very good for a restaurant not specializing on burgers. Generally, can totally recommend the place. We barely ate the food and we waited for at least an hour and a half after we sat down to the point we got the ordered food. They were really overwhelmed with guests and it was weird they had us seated anyways.

All this for only 30€, which might've been double that somewhere else down the street. We waited for about 10 minutes, and the waitress came over to apologise for the wait and offered us complimentary free drinks. She was extremely kind and it was an amazing overall experience. My only regret is not finding this place sooner.
