Swiss restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Saas Fee, Restaurant Essstube is a delightful culinary gem that promises to nourish both body and soul. This charming eatery, part of the Hotel Marmotte, boasts an enticing menu filled with international dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Each plate is crafted with care, showcasing extraordinary flavors and creative presentations. A must-try is their traditional rösti—made with love and bursting with flavor!
Beautiful place to eat at. The fondue was delicious -you can get bread and and potatoes, don't have to choose. The beef capaccio came with a balsalmic dropper and whipped butter. The bittle of rose wine they have is crisp and paired well with the fondue.

I just love a place where you can feel the soul and passion behind the meals and atmosphere. Dinner here was absolutely fantastic!! We ordered the cordon-blue & the beef stir-fry. The chef came out to verify my our food allergies and gave some modifications. Very caring and thoughtful. Evening was magical. Loved the place and staff were excellent!
Kellie — Google review
Wanted to share that the entire experience was amazing! Started from the greetings from the service staff to the awesome food and wine selection. For me, is a gem in this little town!
Richard G — Google review
We really loved this restaurant (when going again, I might not opt for the sesame salmon though, as I didn't like the texture and expected it to be more of a crust - personal preference), however, what my partner had was delicious and the wine was lovely. We will be back! Edit: we did come back and I took something different to the salmon and it was lovely! We loved the texture of the wasabi ice cream :D
G B — Google review
Everything was excellent. The service was fantastic from a great team. The filet steak and mixed salad were delicious. They provided complimentary bread and butter, along with tasty olive oil.🙏
Curly B — Google review
Very impressed by the complexity and quality of the food at this restaurant. You wouldn't necessarily expect it from a restaurant attached to a hotel. The atmosphere was also lovely and the staff very friendly. The homemade chocolate mousse with little pieces of crunchy chocolate felt very worth it.
Dimi — Google review
It's so good that I only ate there every evening!
Andrus K — Google review
Eclectic definitely describes this restaurant. Food is delicious. They put a huge effort into flavor combinations and unusual plating. Even able to accommodate Laktose free without hassle. The salad with salmon yum, beetroot lasagna delicious, surf and turf Devine, though pasta a bit bland and lacking substance. Sadly it took 3hours to be served a three course meal which is not acceptable when you have young kids and first people in the restaurant. Also children’s meals were way over seasoned, I don’t know many children who like heavily salt and peppered Schnitzel or vegetables covered in herbs (and my kids like vegetables). They enjoyed the homemade icecream Sunday’s, the highlight for them.

Nestled in the heart of nature, Waldhüs Bodmen is a charming restaurant that invites you to indulge in authentic Swiss cuisine and delightful fondues. Set within an enchanting old-world mountain chalet, it boasts breathtaking views of the Alps and the picturesque Saas Valley. A short scenic walk from Saas-Fee leads you to this hidden gem, where you can savor specialties like cheese fondue and raclette while enjoying a lovely terrace dining experience.
Super charming place, great food. We were lucky enough to have a full moon night, it’s an easy, lovely walk through the woods to an amazing destination. Food was outstanding, service was excellent. Do not miss it!
Ward N — Google review
We went here for dinner last night because we read reviews that everything was great. So we decided to give it a try. We were lucky that it was a bright moon day so it was easy to walk without slipping. However, the service was quite inconsistent with the price of the food. The food was delicious so we passed it up.
Rattikorn G — Google review
Wonderful evening. Excellent atmosphere; generous, tasty, well-presented food. Friendly service. Less expensive than downtown Saas Fee and at least as good as best.
Stephanie C — Google review
I have been many times in Saas Fee but I visited this restaurant for the first time. I strongly believe its the best restaurant in the region. The food, service, interior and view were just amazing!!!! The prices also are relatively low for Switzerland and the level of quality. The menu is based on local ingredients and flavors. The service was very friendly and fast! Tip try the handmade deserts! The hike is mostly easy to moderate. Even with a lot of snow if you have mountain shoes (e.g. Timberland) you will manage. We started our hike from our hotel Botique Lodge Spycher Just follow the signs and you will find it
Vg — Google review
Summer or winter, it’s a magical little place with animals everywhere (especially in the summer with lamas and camels in their parc), which offers not fancy but quality food, in particular meat. It’s worth the 15-20min walk from the village for a superbe experience!
Patrick A — Google review
recently had the pleasure of dining at Walhüs Boomen in Saas Fee, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The cozy atmosphere and warm ambiance were perfect for a night out with my family, and I was pleased to see that the restaurant was kids-friendly. The staff was welcoming and attentive, making sure that our dining experience was pleasant from start to finish. The menu offered an excellent variety of dishes, and the food was simply delicious. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented, and the flavors were incredibly satisfying. Overall, I would highly recommend Walhüs Boomen to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Saas Fee. The combination of great food, wonderful atmosphere, and friendly staff provided my family and me with an unforgettable evening.

Great location, but it’s a bit out of town. For me that was a great opportunity but may be a no-go for some people. The food was great but the service wasn’t the fastest. I liked a lot the athmosphere.

It's always nice to return here : secluded with very beautiful views of the Saas-valley, very big sun terrace, with a petting zoo which is not only a pleasure for adults but definately for kids aswell. Dog friendly 👍🐶 Good beers, tasty cakes (Kuchen) etc.

Dü Saas-Fee, also known as Astrid's Fondue Hitta, is a charming and intimate restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. The owner, Astrid, personally prepares an array of delectable dishes including cheese fondue, Valaisanne meats, lemon cake, and panna cotta. The cozy ambiance and personalized service create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests.
Simple, small but familiar restaurant in the center of Saasfee. Astrict is a very kind Gastgeber and very prone to all your needs. We had a very good time enjoying cheese fondue, raclette and meatfondue. Since it’s small you do not have a lot of choices but everything was delicious and well prepared. The doublecream merengues was huge! Remember to reserve at least one week in advance.
Giovanni D — Google review
Lovely intimate place with a great owner. The food was equally tasty. The added entertainment crate for kids was also a lovely touch as was the small sweet for our daughter. Highly recommend but you need to book ahead.
Natascha S — Google review
What a delicious and comfortable experience at Astrid's Hitta. We are sad to read that it is the last year. Come here for excellently made food of all types -- cheese fondue, valaisanne meats, lemon cake, panna cotta -- all done by Astrid herself directly next to the tables of her patrons.
Edward W — Google review
Very quaint and cosy. Excellent fondue and salad. Astrid is a very nice host who greets you with a hand shake. Make a reservation way in advance. Small 18 seats and only 1 service. You MUST TRY !

Nestled just off the piste from Spielboden to the village, Gletschergrotte is a charming little hut with a small terrace offering a cozy atmosphere. The menu features delectable burgers, delightful rostis, and an array of fondues. Known for its homemade cakes and desserts, this spot prides itself on quality. The "Grottli" kitchen prepares classic dishes like cheese on toast, various fondues, and the famous cholera cake.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch in this pretty chalet while skiing in Saas Fee. The soup was flavourful, the goat cheese salad very tasty and so was the cholera dish. The creme schnitte was fabulous! All of them were beautifully presented. Welcoming staff. Would definitely come back!
Sophie K — Google review
Sit on the terrace and enjoy the amazing view! It's a little hike to get there (either up from Saas Fee or down from Spielboden) but definitely worth it. Great place for lunch; the breakfast offering is a bit limited. Service is always friendly, prices are reasonable.
Gerd G — Google review
Delicious meal, starting with a salad and then pasta du jour (a very refined pesto). The waiters were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They even brought us some blankets because we were sitting on the terrace?

Don Ciccio Ristorante is a small, family-run Italian eatery that offers exclusive Italian dishes, including delicious wood oven-cooked pizza and other specialties. The restaurant is known for its incredibly tasty desserts, so be sure to save room for them. They also cater to dietary restrictions by offering gluten-free options and listing potentially incompatible ingredients on the menu. The professional and friendly service adds to the overall dining experience.
I love the food, the ambiance, and the lady who serve us, she was kind, friendly, warm. And the food was delicious. I hope my husband and i will back again to switzerland and this restaurant at saas fee
Fitri A — Google review
The truffle ravioli was so delicious!! Others reviews complained about wait time, but it’s a laid back ski village, so the wait time is long everywhere.
Meredith F — Google review
Went here for dinner one night and also got pizza take-away a different night. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, soft lighting, delicious lasagna and pizza is good!
Kellie — Google review
It’s my favorite Italian restaurant in town. Recommended!
Jenny X — Google review
Cute place, good Italian food. Not outstanding but very solid option and cozy atmosphere.
Andreas N — Google review
This place has the most incredible pizza dipping sauce! We ordered pumpkin soup to start out and it was very flavorful with the perfect amount of seasoning. They have a plethora of vegetarian options and can also do gluten free if asked. The stuffed tortellini with mushroom cream sauce was flavorful without being heavy. The Doc pizza, which had tomato, basil & mozzarella, had perfectly crispy edges and was served with a smokey chili sauce. Believe me when I say you'll want to put that sauce on everything. The meal with finished with a panna cotta surrounded by a moat of sauce made with berries, and an apricot sorbet bathed in an apricot schnapps. Enjoyed our meal so much that we came back the next day and ordered The Doc to go with a side salad.
Evie K — Google review
Honestly, we found that our school canteen provides better quality pasta… just below average Italian food. For tourists only! The kitchen smoke is going to the restaurant hence could hardly breathe, toxic and smelly environment… Never again 🤢

With a menu that caters to various dietary preferences, including vegetarian and vegan options, it's an ideal spot for those seeking healthy meals.
Popular restaurant in Saas Fee with great ambient and beautiful terace with great views! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food is very tasty and my all time favourite Rassi goreng is a must try! Strongly recommend!
Jon B — Google review
Nice terrace outside, provides gorgeous Mountain views on a sunny day. Quick service and good drinks. Pizza with gorgonzola and pears we’ve ordered was ok - crispy dough but unripe hard pears. Overall a nice place.
Borys T — Google review
Pizzas looked and were great. The ‘large’ bolognaise was tiny and basically a starter. Definitely bigger portions should be given considering most people are doing mountaineering/hiking etc
Pickle P — Google review
Our poor waitress was working hard and trying her best but food exceptionally slow (48 min from order to pizza delivery- our order was three pizzas and a salad). She kindly delivered bread twice during this period and was apologetic. The restaurant was not particularly full at the time. If you are hungry/ hurried this is probably not the best choice.
Diana V — Google review
The place is modern. The menu has several vegetarian and vegan options. It worked out perfectly for us since we were looking for a healthy bowl. The service is efficient and the staff is cordial. The decor is modern with ski resort vibe. Perfect place for a healthy dinner in Saas Fee.
Shruti K — Google review
Cold vibe, staff lacked hospitality. All window tables were reserved, but nobody came. Took 20 minutes to take our order and 1 hour for 4 pizzas. Asked for no onion and i think they put more. I don’t recommend.

I had my morning coffee here—though it was a bit light for my taste, as I prefer a strong, dark roast, it was still excellent. Every corner of the café is beautifully designed and impressive. You can also browse and purchase LP albums, adding to the unique atmosphere. I didn’t get a chance to try the pastries, but they looked delicious. This will definitely be my go-to coffee spot in Saas-Fee from now on. ☕️

Noteworthy dishes include diverse tacos like chicken, meat with guacamole, and vegetarian with beans.

I get so annoyed when the food arrives and screams "the person who cooked this, and whoever put them in charge of the kitchen, have neither knowledge nor care about what you are eating". I'm very happy to see this was clearly not the case here. Everything we ordered was covered in love and care, the chef came out a few times to ask if everyone was happy and needed anything. The service was Great. The view out of this world. We have hiked from Saas Fee up to Hanig and then down again, so we were quite hungry and in need of a break and good food. After a few disappointing meals in Saas Fee, this is th first amazing meal we've had. Will definitely come back!!

Very nice place. Delicious meals. We took 4 different meals, all were perfect. Especially recommend garlic bread (Knoblauchbrot). Amazing view, and the restaurant provides binoculars. We took the Wanderweg (Carl Zuckmeier weg) in February. It was sometimes sleepery, sometimes narrow, sometimes both - so try to take poles or shoe spikes if you are coming in Winter. PLASTIC FOUND IN FOOD I found 2 pieces of large plastic in my food which has cut my tooth gum very badly. Waitress took plastic away with no apology. No one came to my table to discuss what had happened or offer me an explanation. I asked the Thai waitress to get me the manger. She asked me why I wanted to see the manager as they had taken the item off my bill. I therefore had to walk to the counter to find a senior manager. After I asked for an exclamation as to how plastic was found in my food I was told they didn’t know and would ask their supplier. After a very difficult conversation they took my meal off the bill. I was still expected to pay for my drinks and partners meal. No genuine apology at all. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted by finding plastic in my meal and the lack of care by the staff. I will be reporting this incident to the food trading standards authority to start an investigation into this establishment. AVOID

If you find yourself in Saas-Fee, make sure to stop by Backstübli Bäckerei Tea Room for a delightful experience. This charming spot offers a cozy atmosphere that feels like home, thanks to the incredibly warm and welcoming staff. The menu features an array of delicious options, from fresh sandwiches at reasonable prices to mouthwatering pastries like Mandelschnitte and croissants.
We had a wonderful experience at Back Stubli in Saas Fee! The lady who served us was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food and drinks we ordered were absolutely delicious, and every bite was a delight. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon. Highly recommend if you're looking for a warm and tasty spot in Saas Fee!

Lovely shop to buy cakes or sandwiches - all very local. Super service, you can ask just the type of sandwich and the lady makes it. Also take-away or you can sit outside (with a view!)

Very friendly cafe and super nice barista lady! When we got there it wasn’t as busy but then got super busy fast - was open even when google said closed. I recommend the blueberry topped cream filled pound cake! Wonderful outdoor seating. I would be careful of people smoking outside but what can you do?

Walking around Saas-Fee, we were looking for something simple and local. And good. We were not disappointed. The sandwiches were fresh and very reasonably-priced. The service was welcoming. The Mandelschnitte was light and not too sweet - and really good! And to top it off - deep in the Rhone Valley at 2500 m., Italian-quality coffee.

Hotel La Gorge & Restaurant Zer Schlucht is a laid-back accommodation with low-key rooms, some featuring kitchenettes, and a serene restaurant. The restaurant offers a great sun terrace and serves delicious Rosti. The hotel boasts nicely decorated rooms with attention to detail and stunning views of the gorge and surrounding mountains. However, there is no elevator in the hotel. Guests can enjoy a pleasant stay with friendly and helpful staff.
Our experience at "La Gorge" that was recently completely renovated was absolutely wonderful. The staff was super friendly, very helpful and always welcoming you with their biggest and earnest smile. The bedrooms are super cosy, very clean and calm. The morning breakfast was fantastic and served in the restaurant overlooking the gorge. We spent two days hiking in the region and we loved ending our day with a tasty drink at the bar. Given the hotel's location on the edge of the gorge, our icing on the cake was to peacefully fall asleep to the sound of the Vispa river flowing below... awaiting next morning's breakfast. We'll definitely visit that hotel again in the future.

At a similar price as other hotels in Saas-Fee like the Capra, this hotel felt a bit underwhelming. Room is nice, but the breakfast is very basic and the hotel doesn’t have too much to offer. Additionally, the service was average. The lady at the front desk refused to take us to the station with our heavy luggage, making up excuses like “I can’t drive”, but eventually took us when we showed our disappointment. She drove perfectly well…clearly just laziness and lack of high quality service
Victor — Google review
We visited the restaurant in the off season, which I highly recommend. Beautiful location over a small gorge/canyon. The service was excellent and very friendly. I would recommend reservations in advance in the main season. The food was very delicious and the price/quality ratio is really good.

Hello, we arrived at the train station and Mike came to get us for free. The breakfast was good and the room was clean and nice. The negative part was that after check-out the woman refused to give us a lift that is included in their service and was not as polite as Mike.
Maria B — Google review
Beware before booking! Price gauging at checkout. No offer to grab us from the bus station, room was nice but candidly a bit dirty in the suite in the tower with lots of bugs. (I get it, it’s over the water, but was still nasty). Hotel manager was upset about the price offering that was available to us online. Forced us to pay for breakfast that was supposed to have been included (you can see that outlined on their website as well) and also mentioned that we had messed up the age booking of occupants (we didn’t) and had to pay more than the booking fee when we showed up. Upon check out - not allowed to store our bags in the ski room cause they wouldn’t be around at 1pm on a Saturday. They did offer to allow us to store under the stairs and SaaS fee is generally a very safe place, but it’s more indication of laziness and lack of customer service. Prices are just below the 5 star prices and candidly better Airbnb or other hotel options in hindsight. Lots of great hotels in SaaS Fee, don’t get suckered into the allure of the castle. Really cool architecture and arguably cool location with the gorge, but the attitude, stress and price gauging was not worth it. In the end-we realized perhaps a part of is also us being native English speakers (UK/US bookings be aware)-definitely some favoritism towards local country languages speakers. I should have read the previous owners/management response to other lower stars review more closely before booking.
Zach D — Google review
The hotel is really astonishing and all the rooms were very nicely decorated. You can see that the owner has put attention on every detail. The view from our room (22) was incredible, overlooking the gorge and the mountains surrounding Saas-Fee. Wifi was working great in the hotel. The hotel has no lift so you've to use the stairs to get in the room. One thing that I've missed was during the breakfast: Warm dishes as bacon, sausages and omelette. There could also have been some fresh orange juice but it's not critical. Many thanks also to Mike for his warm welcome.

Experience a delightful dinner at Restaurant Allalin, Switzerland's highest dining establishment and the world's loftiest rotating eatery. Perched at an astonishing altitude of 3,500 meters (11,482 feet), this remarkable restaurant offers breathtaking panoramas of the snowy surroundings as it gracefully revolves every hour. Though the cuisine may not be extraordinary or unparalleled in the Alps, its presentation is always enticing, complemented by a charming atmosphere.
Perched at an astonishing 3,500 meters above sea level, Drehrestaurant Allalin offers an unparalleled restaurant experience. As the world’s highest revolving restaurant, it provides a 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding Alpine peaks, making every moment truly mesmerizing. We only came for coffee and croissants. But I mean look at the view! Just crayz

Truly enjoyable experience! So beautiful of course. As expensive as any other place around. I got the gnocchi with goulash. The gnocchi itself was not incredible - very dense and potato-y rather than light and fluffy. But the meat/ goulash was really good. I had some fries and they were okay. One friend liked the burger but the other didn’t. We also grand grandmas emergency box of course which I give a 10/10 for fun. Ours came with maybe 6-8 cubes of various pound cakes and some nice white and dark chocolate. Definitely would go back.

An unforgettable experience! Lunch at 3,500 m while the restaurant slowly revolves, offering breathtaking 360° views of the Alps, is simply magical. A must-visit in Saas-Fee!
IMLaw L — Google review
Amazing. I ordered the special burger. For the first time ever I have had a burger with a red bun and here it just tasted amazing. Cheese tomatoes salad and the beef patty made the burger excellent. On the side you get some fries as well which are also really good. As a drink I got the red rivella as usual when I am in Switzerland cause it is just the best. Service is nice and food came quickly. It was easy to order a dessert as the people came often to our table and asked for anything else. But the best part about this restaurant is of course the crazy view over the alps such as the restaurant turning fully in 1 hour around.

Average food, poor service but wonderful views. We went several times throughout the week and it was very crowded (end of December) but we loved the views from the top of Saas-Fee. You get there by taking the alpine metro and several ppl go who aren’t skiing/snowboarding. Overall, recommended!

We did not eat much food here, just appetizers, but it is one of the most memorable restaurants out there. The turntable moves slowly to the point where you may not even notice the rotation, but allows for a 360 view of the glacier and surrounding areas. It’s definitely worth the extra charge to make it up here! The soup and bread were delicious!

Hotel Alpenlodge Etoile is a cozy alpine retreat with stunning mountain views and complimentary breakfast. The rooms, though on the smaller side, are impeccably clean and comfortable, featuring English channels on TV. The buffet breakfast is top-notch, and the hosts are exceptionally friendly and professional. Despite initial concerns about its distance from the ski lifts, a convenient electric ski bus stops right outside the hotel to transport guests to the nearby ski storage room.
Just spend a week here with my whole family. We had a wonderful time. The people working at this hotel are amazing, hard working and willing to help with anything. The food is great and the location even better. The rooms are a bit old in decoration but I have heard they are doing renovations next year. PS: Pet friendly:)

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and were extremely satisfied with everything. We highly recommend it to everyone. Those coming to Saas Fee should definitely stay here. The entire hotel staff was very friendly, polite, and helpful. They assisted us in every way. The hotel’s location is also very close to the city center. The view from our room was incredibly impressive. The breakfast was sufficient and delicious. If we visit again, we would definitely stay at this hotel.

Just WOW! I could stay here forever! The hotel is very nice and clean, beds comfortable and I liked the fact that we can adjust the heat in our room. The bus to go to the cabin lift is right in front of the hotel. All the staff were super friendly, and a special thanks to the manager that made our stay memorable! We will come again, thank you Hotel Etoile!
Ivana V — Google review
Leaving this review to warn/inform all future travelers who are thinking of booking a room at Hotel Etoile & Alpenperle Residences First, note that Hotel Etoile and Alpenperle Residences are two entirely different buildings (5-10min apart, depending on ice) and the only thing they have in common is the same owner. The Alpenperle hotel still has all the old information from the previous hotel owner, so very limited has been converted or integrated with Hotel Etoile. Breakfast is also only served in Hotel Etoile and the saunas / hot tubs are only at Etoile as well Second, if you book in the Alpenperle residences you will be treated differently. The staff will not drop you off at the entrance, so prepare for a steep walk up to the building and no help from staff getting to your room. If you schedule a pickup time for your departure, they will likely forget you and not pick you up. If you’d like to eat at Hotel Etoile, good luck. Third, they are extremely understaffed and the people who work there are 50/50 kind people and extremely rude people, who will lie to your face. Just ask how long the walk is from the residences to the parking garage or call them to tell them you have parked your car and your pregnant wife if ready to be picked up. Also, due to staffing issues, be prepared to wait around if you need help with anything Fourth, the cleanliness. While the room was straightened up each day, it became clear that the dirty wash cloths were just being refolded and placed back as if they were clean. My wife noticed this as she put a dirty rag with hair on the ground only to find it put back as if it were a clean towel. Additionally, the cups were all dirty in the room Overall, the Alpenperle Residences were an affordable option for staying in Saas-Fee and a decent location for snowshoeing and access to the ski shuttle. This said, the issues mentioned above really ruin the experience.

Great family run hotel. Room on the small size but very clean and comfortable, English speaking channels on TV a nice bonus. Buffet breakfast is excellent, coffee great. Hosts are very friendly and the whole hotel is very professionally run. Initial concerns over distance from ski lifts were allayed as the little electric ski bus stops just outside the hotel and takes you to the ski storage room in town which is s short walk to the ski lifts. Private sauna included in price of room is a great bonus. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening in the hot tub, with bright stars above us and delicious local wine served to us by the friendly owners. I loved this place. Their respectful but friendly service was amazing. This chalet-style hotel provides comfortable accommodations and a charming restaurant with a rustic ambiance. It offers delicious Swiss-style dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, including tender meat from local cows. The menu is diverse and varied, featuring traditional fondues, Roesti plates, Fondue Chinoises, and mouth-watering meat dishes like the renowned Chateaubriand. Guests can enjoy not only excellent food but also stunning views of the Swiss mountain peaks.
Very good cheese fondue with pickles, onions, and potatoes. The waitress was very polite and attentive. The restaurant has a hunter’s lodge ambiance, with mounted trophies throughout. We sat outside during the day, and although it is on the street, the setting felt cozy and pleasant, with flowers along the side adding a welcoming touch. It isn’t inexpensive, of course, but then in Switzerland, everything tends to be.

Me and my teammates came here for lunch one afternoon, we sat on the tables outside looking out on the street. We ordered some honey tonic gins which were nice but quite expensive. We then shared at a fondue which was very very good. Waiters were very friendly and accommodating. Would visit again, very happy😌

I was recommended to try the veggie plate here, but when it arrived, it actually came with bacon. When I pointed it out to the waiter, the only response was that he would tell the kitchen—there was no apology, no effort to correct it, and I was still charged for the dish. For me, this is very disappointing and disrespectful. If I order a vegetarian dish, I expect it to be vegetarian. Many people avoid meat for different reasons, and even though I personally don’t mind meat, what bothers me is being served something different from what I ordered. That breaks the trust between a guest and a restaurant. The view is nice, but that’s not enough to make up for the food and the service. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this place.

The Schaferstube is a popular eatery located near the nursery slope in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. This traditional and warm restaurant offers an array of authentic Swiss dishes like rosti and bratwurst. Patrons can enjoy a delightful dining experience as they are greeted by friendly staff members, who also share interesting tidbits about the building's history. The food at this establishment is both flavorful and well-balanced, with an appealing combination of tastes and textures.
A fantastic restaurant! We were delighted to have our Christmas dinner here. The food was delicious and satisfying. The atmosphere and service were excellent. We'll definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

Six of us grabbed lunch here. You need to walk to the start of the hiking trail, the mountain view makes it totally worth it. Once you see the church, head up the hill—it’s a clear sign you're getting close to the restaurant. I had my meal on the terrace, though the inside of the restaurant is really cute too. We enjoyed homemade rösti (which I loved because it reminded me of a Korean potato dish), along with cordon bleu, sausages, a pulled pork burger, and fish and chips. I tried a little bit of everything: the burger and fish and chips were both great, the cordon bleu was a tad salty but worked fine with the veggies, and the sausages were a bit too meaty—maybe a side salad would have helped. Overall, the food was fantastic, and I'd say this is one of the best restaurants in Saas-Fee.

Excellent Food & atmosphere. The most delicate restaurant in Saas-Fee combining top ingredients with locally inspired products like flowers and handpicked herbs from the mountain. A cozy but stylish interior reflect the drive from charming Simone to create the best scene for Chef Daniel’s cuisine.

Schäferstube is situated at the higher residential district of Saas Fee, close to the top of the button lift from Felskin area. From the high street turn up the hill at the church and keep walking up (Slowly!). Trust me. Worth the effort. The restaurant layout is very traditional wooden cabin with various small rooms and tables. The kitchen is so close to the tables you can smell the food as its being prepared. For main course, i had the Sea Bass and Scallop which was a generous enough size but beautifully cooked. The dish is prepared with Celery, Sticky Rice and a fruity bisque. My guests ordered the Rib Eye which was generous (Approx 200-300g). Both dishes priced at CHF44 & CHF 49 respectively. For dessert, the Valhrona Chocolate cake and mousse was particularly popular at the table. Light delicate and rich and at CHF17 the Valhrona was sublime and good value. We drank a bottle of Vinum Lignum CabernetFranc 2022 which was excellent, both with the fish and steak. Overall, very classy, good value (for Switzerland and Skiing regions generally), very friendly and informative service. Would highly recommend to any "foodie". They also serve a set menu which looks fantastic. Looking forward to returning again.

At times one wonders whether certain young restaurateurs have mistaken hospitality for theatre — the kind in which the paying guests are cast as potential criminals. Such was the spectacle at the recent Genussmeile, where a particular proprietress, scarcely out of her youth, decided to publicly insinuate that we — her loyal patrons — might be plotting to steal her wine glasses 😱. The absurdity would be comic, were it not so vulgar. Our family and friends have dined at her establishments on numerous occasions, each time parting with several hundred Swiss Francs for two, and doing so gladly. To imagine that those who have repeatedly demonstrated both loyalty and means would be reduced to pilfering her rather unremarkable glassware, is the kind of leap in judgement one expects from gossip at a village market, not from the supposed custodian of fine dining. Her manner of service is equally theatrical: smiles and deference bestowed only upon those who fling money conspicuously, while others are treated with little more than suspicion. Whether she recognises her guests or not is immaterial — what is unforgivable is her readiness to substitute grace with arrogance, and courtesy with insult. One is tempted to conclude that the only thing more fragile than her wine glasses is her understanding of true hospitality. For the discerning diner, there are far finer establishments in Switzerland where respect does not come with a price tag. This one, we recommend avoiding altogether. Photos : Nostalgische Genussmeile 07 Sep 2025 in Saas Fee when this rude uneducated young lady insulted us 🤷‍♀️

We went for dinner and the whole thing was great! Simone explained some of the history of the building when we arrived and she and the other waitress were super friendly. On top of that the food was very tasty - great balance of flavours and textures. Highly recommended. Edit: We went back for lunch 2 days later. The food was still good, but there is also a small lunch menu that is a little more casual. The staff remembered us and our plans for the weekend and inquired how it all went, what a nice feeling.

Went back again feb 2020 and very disappointing. It’s slimmed the menu and gone super fancy with small expensive portions. They charged 8chf for 2 kinder syrup with kids meals! The kids schnitzels were too over cooked and chewy. Service could not be faulted though, definitely high end. Loved that they used my name. Sister restaurant Waldhaus bodman is so much better for families and the food has bigger portions with better accompaniments! But if you are looking for fancy multi course expensive meal come here. Road up was super icy so be careful on the way down or order a taxi.

Arvu-Stuba, a Swiss restaurant in Saas-Fee, offers a delightful ambiance and excellent customer service. It is advisable to book ahead due to limited availability caused by certain restaurants being closed on specific days in this small town. The restaurant's convenient location allows guests to enjoy a fondue meal after indulging in the Wellness 4000 spa experience at 8pm. Although not able to sample the dessert fondue due to fullness, it remains an enticing option for future visits.
Best In Saas-Fee There are a lot of places to eat in Saas-Fee, but if you’re only there for a week or weekend make sure you go to Arvu Stuba. We’ve been coming for a few years and always come back. Why? The food, the wine list and the service are all second to none. Let’s start with the food... the Chef is fantastic and is brave enough to move away from the stables of Rosti and Fondue (although their Prosecco and Truffle fondue is the best in town). Dishes such as the Lobster Bisque soup can seem out of place in most Swiss restaurants but here it works. Along with specials like Polenta and Porcini mushrooms everything is delightfully flavoured and absolutely beautifully presented. As for the wine, there are the usual local favourites of Johannesburg and Heida, but go for one of the Walliser special selections. The owner of the restaurants works with local vineyards and she selects some of the best vintages. Try Hommage for a wonderfully robust and rounded red wine. The service is also impeccable. The husband and wife team run a tight ship that’s friendly, professional and efficient. Whilst he might be in the kitchen most of the time he comes out to greet and thank guests whilst his wife makes sure everything runs perfectly. Nuno, who’s the quad lingual waiter greets everyone with warmth and humour and makes everyone feel at home. The final thing is the overall ambience and feel of the place. It looks quite traditional but the food or service are not old or stuffy. The small size of the place means it’s always booked up and has a buzzy atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit !

Arvu-Stuba offered a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for an early evening meal. The service was exceptional, with the staff attentive and friendly. The pumpkin soup was a standout, rich and flavorful. However, the pulled pork burger, while decent, fell short of expectations. The portion size was smaller than anticipated, and the bread lacked softness, the coleslaw too unbalanced on vinegar, however, the french fries were delicious, even though they came with a charge while I thought they were a side for my burger. My wife’s entrecote was unfortunately tough and chewy, a disappointing dish given its price point. The complimentary bread with herbs and spices was a thoughtful touch. While the restaurant's ambience and service were commendable, the quality of the main courses was inconsistent.

Really warm, friendly welcome, lovely decor and we ate in the little room on the first floor for a family birthday which was great and made the evening special. Starters were better than the mains. Sourdough bread delicious!

My sauce was completed messed up . The eggs and butter are separated 100% . Instead of redoing it, they served to me . A bit shocked . To be fair , just based my personal experience, my food was bad . Maybe you have better luck

Probably the second-best fondue in Saas Fee after le Vieux Chalet. I particularly like the fondue aux herbes, but the mushroom fondue is also tasty. I'll be back, for sure, in search of that fifth star.
Adam R — Google review
Overpriced and disappointing. The mushroom fondue was the most expensive option on the fondue menu, yet completely lacked any mushroom flavor. Definitely not worth the price.
Eugene M — Google review
Lovely atmosphere and great service. Always wanted to try a fondue. Had to make reservations because it's a small town and some restaurants are closed certain days. 8pm was just right for us after hitting the spa at the Wellness 4000. Anyways we were stuffed so we couldn't try the desert fondue. Maybe next time. Thanks Aruva-Stuba!

Hotel La Gorge & Restaurant Zer Schlucht is a relaxed hotel with simple rooms, some featuring kitchenettes, and a tranquil restaurant. Guests praise the friendly and professional service, as well as the stylish and modern atmosphere. The dishes at the restaurant are described as outstanding, combining creativity, taste, and appealing presentation. The location is also commended for its beauty and the restaurant's decor is noted to be lovely.
Valentin C — Google review

Nestled in the charming town of Saas-Fee, Pizzeria Boccalino is a delightful spot for those craving authentic Italian cuisine. This cozy eatery features a warm wooden interior that sets the perfect ambiance for enjoying delicious pizza and pasta dishes. Diners rave about the popular spaghetti with clams, while classic favorites like lasagna and spaghetti Bolognese also shine on the menu. The attentive staff ensures a pleasant dining experience, making guests feel welcomed whether they have made reservations or not.
What a pleasant surprise. The staff is SUPER friendly and attentive, which is not always easy to find in Europe. As for the food, we can only speak for the pizza, which was great. Fresh and thin crusted. Will visit again...

We can only talk about our experience with ordering pizza here. On the phone they were already a bit unpleasant and on top of that the pizzas were horrible. Probably the worst pizza I ever tried. Probably the rest of the food is decent, but the pizza is horrible and expensive
Manuel C — Google review
Good food, but nothing special in my opinion. Risotto was good, I tried my friends‘ pizza and it was not really to my liking. Pizza dough was quite hard and crust was flat. I went for the housemade tiramisu as dessert and I expected more. Lacked of flavor. For the price I expected a bit more! But good atmosphere and quick service with nice staff.

Very mid pizza! I had a marguerite with hot peppers, garlic, and arugula. I don’t recommend the pizza, but it wasn’t horrible. If I were to do it again, I wouldn’t go there or I would try something that wasn’t pizza.
Meredith F — Google review
The service staff does not have the time to be nice to customers. I feel for them as they turnaround the tables extremely rapidly like they must be on an incentive of some sort. If you are in a hurry and don’t mind being treated without consideration…

Assuming that I am a ski instructor and have been all over Switzerland touring the slopes. To go to a pizza place in Saas-Fee, to be judged before you even enter and to be thrown out because I was wearing a ski jacket, I find to be an extremely rude gesture. 27 chf for the smallest chicken breast I’ve ever seen (max 3oz) offered in a restaurant and a truly lacklustre salad (they made the salad massive to hide the fact that the chicken was such a small size and cut the chicken in half to make it look bigger than it was). I wonder if they laugh in the back when people order this dish. Chicken seasoned like I do at home, nothing special. My husband ate my salad and I went to a restaurant down the street to get a hot dog so I could feel full.

Good food, well located at a stop of the Alpin Express. Can be busy, but there are lots of tables. Food is relatively expensive for what you get.
George R — Google review
I only tried the salad buffet, but wow, what a surprise! I’ve been to many ski resorts, and I’ve never seen such a massive and diverse salad buffet (normally most stuff from salad buffets in mountain restaurants is canned food, like canned cabbage, beans etc.) but this one was different. There was an impressive selection of salads (and even sashimi fish), and so many other options to choose from. Honestly, it was probably the biggest salad buffet I’ve ever come across—and it was really good! I can’t comment on the other dishes since I didn’t try them, but I noticed a lot of comfort food options like fries with chicken nuggets or sausages. However, for a ski resort restaurant, the variety of salads they offer is fantastic. If you’re a fan of salads or looking for a fresh and healthier option, this place is definitely worth a stop. Highly recommend the salad buffet! 🥗 100 gramm costs 4.50 CHF, which is of course not cheap, but for the chicken niggets with fries you also pay 24.-

I can't comment on the food as we left the restaurant after 30 minutes wait for someone to take our order. During our 30 minutes wait, hailing someone to take our order was futile. I more than once went to the bar to get someones attention and was rudely told (by staff members lingering in the back) that someone will come to the table. When after 30 minutes someone finally appeared they were extremely rude and unprofessional. Never experienced this type of attitude before. Terrible! The view is superb, enjoy it from the outside!

TOP View, but service not Switzerland like. Also the cart and offer for breakfast is like zero. Unflexible when we wanted to order Rösti and eggs, while staff was eating exactly what we wanted! Most probably a management and organization issue. Sad for such a great location and a shame for the Swissness!
Rafael W — Google review
The restaurant manager changed a few months ago. And since then this place is running really well again. I know the restaurant manager personally and can share some of of the negative comments here from the early times. But so far they do a good job to provide great hospitality and service for their customers. Certainly everyone knows this restaurant for its turning availabilty and 360 panoramic view. Especially during sunrise on thursdays the view is breathtaking but hiking and climbing ist also possible from there. The breakfast ist awesome. Surely it seems bit expensive for 34 CHF, but is well worth it, when you take into account that you get this at 3500m. 7 different juice-types, several types of croissants, 3-4 types of cakes, different types of breads, sausages and cheese. 6-7 types of cornflakes and müsli as well as hot beverage. Different types of yoghurt, dried fruits and fruitsalad. Of course its a restaurant first and foremost and therefore has a bar, good wine, Its definitely worth to give it a shot and visit the place. :) Hint: Dont trust the weathdr forecast. Check the webcam when planing a visit or call them and ask them as they know the swiss weather and will tell the truth unlike the weather forecast.

The Capra is one of those rare hotels where you instantly feel at home. We visited in March and from the moment we arrived, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed. They were so kind and thoughtful and even remembered all of our names throughout the stay, which made the experience feel especially personal. The attention to detail is truly exceptional. From the beautifully designed rooms to the small, thoughtful touches throughout the hotel that make your stay feel effortless and luxurious. Every element is clearly curated with care and intention. It was only steps away from the slopes, with a private ski concierge that makes getting on the mountain effortless. After a day on the snow, the spa was absolute heaven. The pools and saunas were the perfect way to unwind and reset. What stood out most was the balance between five star service and a deeply personal, cozy atmosphere. It never felt impersonal, just relaxed, elegant, and incredibly comfortable. We left feeling recharged, grateful, and already planning our return for the rest of our friends and family.

Couldnt leave my review on Airbnb so i shall leave it here. I enjoyed my two nights here. First of all, prices were very reasonable, and saastal card was given as well. Every staff was friendly and i felt very welcome from the moment i entered. Food was delicious and very affordable as well. Location was great as it was just a minute's walk from the busstop. Would visit again in the future!

Friendly and fresh well presented food. Great place for walks, skiing and good food. Will definitely go again. There is also a fantastic family hidden restaurant, just a forest walk from this hotel to SaasFee.

I was in room 29 an there was Mold even at the ceiling in the bathroom had mold it was so disgusting the people are not kids friendly they hate kids so much that they scream at us while this week from the 19.1.2025 - 24.1.2025 it was straight chaos my teacher has brought us to ski than being in this crap hotel we spent over $20k dollars for this trip these $20k dollars were not worth it. They need a health inspector to see the mold in this hotel

Well run Hotel. Very nice and helpful owners and staff. Spacious room and terrace, good food in the restaurant and their own house wine was also very good. Would love to return in the future.

Need to improve the circulation of the air of the bathroom. The smell of mold was not good. The dinner was ok, I expected more. The breakfast I didn’t like much, but it is ok. The atmosphere is ok. The staff, most of them are nice and friendly, others not much. Finally if you don’t speak the language spoken in Switzerland, and you need to speak English, then will be a little difficult for the communication.

Very friendly service with special welcome for our young dog, who enjoyed beautiful walks up and down the Saas valley surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery. Room on 3rd floor had lovely balcony, where we could sit enjoying the sunshine and views.
Robert F — Google review
The hotel experience started at check-in. We were 3 different families traveling together. We waited at the "check-in" counter with absolutely no help. Finally, someone goes to the restaurant part to see where we can check in and naturally you check in at the restaurant! We finally get to the rooms and they had a strong mildew odor the smell was not nice. The mattresses were so low to the floor and very very soft and sinking. The water went from hot to cold for the whole week. One shower head was broken but then fixed. The food was okay. Not exactly what the menu stated but it kept things interesting 🤔. The ski storage area was very small an awkward for more than 2 people at a time. Location (in dorfplatz)was nice. For skiing/hiking the Post bus to Saas Fee/ Grund was literally outside the hotel. Also a Volg, other restaurants and sport shops in the dorfplatz. The ski lift tickets were organized through the hotel with a discount! There was free bottled water for the guests.Lastly, check out of the hotel also proved to be a bit chaotic. As we were told our amount at checkout was around 2'500 swiss francs MORE. Luckily, I had an email from the reservation booking to confirm my total room amount including the local tax and ski lift tickets. Overall, it was an okay experience.

Very enjoyable Restaurant and its location. If you'd like to see (and even feed) the "Murmelis" (Marmotte/Groundhogs) you're at the right spot! Even the goats will welcome you. The terrace is a sunny one due to its position on the mountain. Food & drinks : all ok. Always nice to return there and the walk down to Saas-Fee is recommended aswell 👍❤️

Fantastic restaurant on the ski slopes; really outperforms other restaurants in the saasfee ski area. Het kitchen is slow, but what you get is amazing. Real profis at work here, giving an own twist to the alpine kitchen, while still remaining decent prices. Thoroughly enjoyed the hotdog and the pumpkin soup, and can highly recommend this venue!

We went in summer so it was not busy, but the service was very fast and friendly for us. The food was good, but the best bit was the play area for our toddler. She could have stayed there all day! Located at the top of the lift in Saas Almaden, Bergrestaurant Heidbodme is a delightful surprise for visitors. The small and charming restaurant offers not only spectacular views but also a good selection of delicious food and drinks. With its characteristic atmosphere, occasional French chansons, and welcoming hosts, it provides a unique mountain dining experience. Guests can enjoy the cozy ambiance while savoring tasty meals and warm beverages amidst the rugged natural surroundings.
Mountain restaurant with the most jaw-dropping views all around. Reached by chairlift (note, which does not run between noon and 2pm in the summer) or a 90min walk up from Saas Almagell. A typical Swiss berg-restaurant menu but with a choice of 18 different rostis. Highly recommended on a sunny summer day for lunch. Great value for money given its situation. Check opening times of the chairlift and the restaurant.

Delicious Kartoffeln Tagesuppe, spicy and wholesome. But when I went to pay I suffered Rosti-envy, and wished I'd had that as well. If I'd researched in advance I'd have factored in more time here, and one of the spectacular looking coffees. Staff were lovely. Menu holders ace.

Restaurant Bristol offers excellent, delicious and homemade cuisine that is highly appreciated by those who dine out regularly. The menu for children is also commendable. The salad buffet is simple yet delightful. The staff members are extremely friendly and accommodating, even going the extra mile to cater for lactose-free diets. However, one minor drawback was that the salmon dish was undercooked with only a 5mm portion cooked on all sides while the rest remained raw; although it wasn't rectified due to exhaustion.

To enjoy with friends and family! Quality food and hospitality! 🫶🏻😍 A place to be for foodies! Been there few times now. Not a typical mountain restaurant, this place delights with innovative dishes that make your visit memorable. I tried the Raclette à la Sylvain and the braised pork cheek….simply an innovative dish in town, and truly unique to this region. They have cinnamon-Roll!!!!! food was good, unfortunately the staff not so much. We got a place, wanted to order and after the women realized that we only want one pizza, beer and water she threw us out that we are not taking place for other people, when there were still some places left in the restaurant. Also not in a very kind way but in very harsh way .. never even seen something like this. Being exhausted after whole day mountaineering and wanting to eat, this was very disappointing. Nestled at the summit of its namesake gondola, Spielboden by The Capra offers a delightful dining experience that combines breathtaking views with a menu full of hearty options. Guests can indulge in pulled pork burgers, flavorful pasta dishes, and chicken wings marinated in a secret recipe, all served alongside crispy French fries. While prices may reflect the premium location typical of mountain resorts, visitors have praised the friendly multilingual staff and the quality of food.
Stopped here in early October after walking and feeding the marmots. They had a fall inspired menu with Herbstsalat, Ravioli with pumpkin filling and a pumpkin soup. Dessert was a plum strudel with cinnamon ice cream. We were lucky to get a seat outside in the sun and enjoyed our meal. Great service, can pay by card and even buy more marmot food in case you ran out already.

The service is friendly and it's nice to see them take care of the local marmotte population. The food however, if ridiculously expensive for the mediocre quality you get. If you happen to be in the area, this is a must do. The service is super friendly. The food is great with an excellent selection and presentation. We shared the table with a couple from Lucerne … lovely people and lots of great info about the area and Switzerland in general. Images do not do the location justice. Our party ordered the beef goulash, the raclette and the salmon … the fries were also delicious! Nestled in the picturesque Saas Valley, Restaurant Pizzeria Central is a culinary gem that lives up to its reputation for serving some of the finest pizza outside of Italy. With an inviting ambiance and a charming atmosphere, this eatery offers a delightful dining experience. The pizzas boast a fantastic base topped with fresh ingredients and are cooked to perfection, ensuring every bite is memorable. Not only do they serve incredible pizzas, but their pasta dishes—especially the pasta funghi—are also highly recommended.

They apartment was just amazing and the place is just right next to the bars and the ski lift. It was really spacious and cosy at the same time. Definitely going again and a raclette in the appartment.

This review is for the restaurant. Our dinner was great! I chose the menu of the day, which included a salad as a starter and duck as the main course, while my partner had a soup and a cordon bleu. We shared everything, and I must say, all the dishes were excellent—except for the potatoes that accompanied the cordon bleu, which were not cooked properly. The service was great, and Theresa was really attentive and friendly. Additionally, we enjoyed a discount of 40% on the excellent Gamay we ordered.

Huge thanks to Theresa, Marina, and the young gentleman who served us – I didn’t catch his name. Everything was fantastic, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you!

My family and I had an incredible meal at the saaser stube on September 5, 2025. From the excellent bread with special butter to the lovely beef croquettes (compliments of the chef) to the fantastic Angus burger with home made pickles and superb fries it was an gastronomic dream. Other members of my family had the kaese knoedel which I tasted and and thought excellent as well...great and attentive service as well. I wish we had stayed there as well given how excellent the food/restaurant and service was. Dont miss it!

I had a wonderful conversation with the proprietors and their hospitality was exceptional. The cuisine was excellent, and the male owner, Rob, who is a butcher, skillfully prepared the meat using exclusively homemade ingredients. Additionally, Lucy, the female owner and an accomplished baker, created a delightful dessert. The price was reasonable considering how well-crafted the food was. I only wish I had more time to explore their impressive whiskey selection. Many thanks to Rob and Lucy for making my day!
I came from Greece (i am the Santorini guy) to see Switzerland and at last I loved Scotland. Thank you for the wonderful food and whiskeys...!

We had a beautiful chat with the owners and the hospitality was amazing. The food was great as well. The man owner (Rob) is a butcher so the meat was well prepared with everything proudly homemade. The lady owner (Lucy) a very good baker so the desert was delicious too! And the price was right for how cared for the food was. Wish I had more time for the amazing whiskey selection too!! Thanks so much Rob and Lucy, you really made our day!!!

The Park-Hotel is situated in a quiet location near the cable car Fiesch Eggishorn and the train station, and offers wonderful views of the mountains. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food is excellent, with both traditional Swiss dishes and international cuisine on offer.
I have been coming to Park Hotel for as long as I can remember. From when I was a little kid to now 28 years old. For more than 20 years, this has been our home away from home in Switzerland, and no matter where I go, it's always a place I love going back to. Some of my best memories were made here. Patrick and Jutta are amazing hosts that make everyone feel at home and are happy to help out with any questions you might have. The food is excellent, so I highly advise taking dinner in the hotel. Breakfast has everything you need to get you going for a day hiking in the amazing mountains surrounding the hotel. I highly recommend coming here to explore the Saas-valley and enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife!

Not a great experience. Location - far too far away from the ski lifts. Infrequent buses. Room - very very basic, no twin rooms, no tea / coffee making facilities; no toiletries (aside from soap). Food - dinner was good , but only provided for one night of our 4 night stay. Also charged us 6€ for tap water Facilities - boot room is accessed under the building meaning ski boots feel cold and damp each morning.

A beautiful and welcoming hotel, with spacious rooms and balconies offering a stunning view of the Allalin glaciers. The hotel location is magnificent: the town center is just steps away, and the bus terminal is also very close. It's truly central. The hotel is bright and sunny, thanks to its large front garden. The hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming: Patrick and his wife, Jutta, explained the local activities to do. Patrick picked us up and took us back to the parking lot with our bags. The entire staff, kind and professional, made our stay a wonderful experience. Perfectly clean. The generous breakfast buffet, with excellent products, including local ones, is delicious. The bread deserves a special mention: various types, freshly baked and delicious. Patrick is also the chef of the in-house restaurant and is truly skilled in the kitchen. Every evening there was a different menu and it was always excellent. Very good food. Highly recommended.

A really nice family-run hotel. We had a lovely welcome from Jutta and Patrick, and the staff team were excellent. Our room was comfy. Breakfast was always good, and the evening dinners were a real treat-lovely presentation and great flavours. Our only dilemma was choosing the wine!

It was my first time in Saas Fee, but definitely not the last one. I had an absolutely amazing hiking week there. The hotel’s location is brilliant, the room had everything I needed, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. I also truly enjoyed the warm, family-like atmosphere of the hotel. Thank you for everything – I hope to return again in a few years. At least, that’s my plan for now! :)
Ilonda L — Google review
The rooms were cozy, not super big but big enough - even for us with our three huge dogs. The bathroom was nice and clean. Excellent water pressure too, something that other hotels fail to get right so often. The breakfast was very nice and had everything you would expect. The food in the evenings was always very tasty, I really loved it and requested an additional plate several times, awesome chef! Also: this might be the Belgian in me talking, but the beer was served perfectly! Nice pour with a big head and the yeast left in the bottle, served seperately for you to add later. Allround great experience.
Stijn B — Google review
We had a wonderful stay at the Park Hotel. We were offered an amazing half-board deal for 1 week. The adults in our group could stay in separate rooms at no additional cost, while the two young children stayed in a family room with their parents free of charge! Simply unbeatable. The room I was in on the top floor had an outstanding view of the village and ski slopes. The rooms were very clean. The continental buffet breakfast and the 4-course evening meals were excellent. The hotel is located in a central yet quiet spot, very close to the bus station. It isn't too far to walk to the Alpinexpress cable car. A depot is offered close to the Alpinexpress to leave your skis and boots each day. We really enjoyed staying in an uncomplicated, family-run, typical Swiss hotel. We would definitely return.

A beautiful hotel, run by very friendly people. The rooms are very up to date, great bathrooms with loads of hot water, much needed after long walks. Got a very strong feeling we will be back next year :-)

Länglufh is a reliable choice for a mountainside lunch. The service was commendable – prompt and professional. My rösti with cheese and egg was a comforting classic, well-suited to the alpine setting. Paired with a cold beer, it was the perfect fuel for a day of hiking. My wife enjoyed the perch, a fresh and light option, which she paired with a refreshing apfelshorle. The restaurant's atmosphere is typical mountain fare, with a cosy and welcoming vibe.

Very disappointed! We loved to come here for years to have Schnitzels. This time we only received a single mini Schnitzel which looked like a kids portion. After inquiring with the personnel they told us that this was the new standard. We used to get two good sized Schnitzel for the same price. This effectively works out to a 50%+ price increase! This is pretty shameless and offending. Hope more people will complain.

Horrible experience. Waited 15min to place the order. Finally a second dish came in instead of a starter, I started eating anyway... Suddenly the waiter came and took away the plate away while already eating (with fork in my mouth), saying it was meant for someone else! Seriously? I should have slapped him in the face, we went somewhere else instead. Horrible service, stay away.

Hotel-Restaurant Bergheimat is an exceptional establishment that excels in all aspects, including its atmosphere, warmth, efficiency, beverages, and particularly its exquisite cuisine. It offers a remarkable dining experience even for late arrivals after enduring traffic delays. This is uncommon in Switzerland where most kitchens close by 10 p.m. The hotel itself may not have a five-star rating but it is still highly commendable for being pleasant, welcoming and well-maintained.
Perfect place for families and kids. Nice dinner buffet, generous portions, helpful staff for a very fair price - especially for Swiss standards. We stayed here as a group, of 30 kids and parents.

NEVER EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT BECAUSE IT’S THE BIGGEST SCAM I EVER EXPERIENCED! How can you serve a water in a plastic bottle (!!!) for 14 CHf, which is triple the price in Zurich and moreover - it was not the same bottle that was charged on the bill. When I asked to show me the drinks menu, they said they don’t have a water in menu. I informed the service and manager that I’m not going to pay more than 5 CHF for this, moreover - it’s illegal to charge for the positions you are not able to present the client in the menu. Reading the reviews of other customers I see I’m not the only one that was cheated. I told the manager we are going to report it to the police. It’s the biggest scam ever, and in Switzerland?! Unbelievable!

Reasonable hotel. Pleasant rooms, bad food, poor service, welness not existing The rooms are very good, given the price/quality-equation. The food less good. The breakfasts are the same, every morning, and doesnt give any proper fuel for your body; baseline has to be eggwhites. The dinners just are totally made out of packages, considering taste, and the portion sizes are to little. Servingstaff was a breath of fresh air though. Very friendly! The welness wasnt available due to 'electrical problems'. Hospitality and any form of communication was totally missing. The owners of the hotel must have inherited the property, cause they dont have the 'host-gene'. Overall, reasonable. I understand that you offer a low price, and that the quality of the stay will be like that, but you cant ignore basic hospitality. Proper food amounts for dinner & a smile when guests arrive are basically free. Furthermore: dont promise welness-service when you dont think its worth the amount the guests are paying. The location is good though! Straight access to the Saas Grund ski-area and the busstop to the alpin-lift in saas Fee is in front of the building.

Extraordinary in all areas. Ambience, friendliness, speed, drinks and especially the exquisite food a great experience. Had traffic jams that day and arrived after 10pm and was still able to choose from everything from the complete menu card. This is not normal in Switzerland. From 10 p.m. at the latest, all kitchens of hotels and restaurants are closed. I'm still amazed by this experience. Thanks and see you soon.

Steak tartare - which is one of their specialties according to the menu - was possibly the worst rendition of this dish I’ve had the misfortune to try. The meat was fresh, but bland, textureless and just painfully uninteresting. 1/3 of the dish was textbook canteen garnish, yes, shredded carrot on a leaf of lettuce and drowned in salad dressing. I also made the mistake of ordering their green salad. The dish they served me was a plate of chopped iceberg lettuce topped with 3 leaves of romain lettuce and all drowning in a puddle of their ‘Italian’ dressing. Honestly, why do they bother? - it’s like going back to the 1990s when nobody knew any better. Why 2 stars? The first star was because it’s the minimum score. The second star because service was efficient and polite. I ordered a Negroni and disturbingly was served something long and red. I asked if they’d added soda - they had, but to the servers credit she quickly replaced it with a proper Negroni. Well done for that at least.
