Where to eat: the 25 best restaurants in Holywood

I hoped to have really enjoyed this experience but it was just ok. Came on a lovely sunny day so expected to wait on a table which I did but not as long as I thought. Once getting my table I sat for 20 minutes waiting on someone to take my drink order. I felt invisible as it was only me at the table and not a waiter came by to take an order so I took myself up to the bar to which I was told I am not allowed I need to wait. The girl came over straight after I made them aware I wanted to order, I also had to get my own menu from the bar as no one offered me one. I told her I’m ready to order food as soon as she brought my drinks as I was not waiting another 20 minutes to order. My food came out in alright time around 10 minutes as soon as I received it I noticed a hair on my fries so again I had to call a waiter. I did get new fries brought to me but I had to wait again. The steak was overcooked, I asked for medium and got a well done steak. My total bill came to £50 which is absolutely ridiculous as I wasted 2 hours here and had more hassle than anything. Wouldn’t recommend coming here.

Called last minute for a reservation and they made sure they could fit the two of us in. Wonderful seats upstairs looking out over Belfast Lough. The service was friendly, relaxed, efficient and fun. And the food was glorious. We ordered Mussels and Crabs claw starters, they were large and filling. For main course we had Pan fried Salmon with sauted potatoes and Smoked Haddock with champ. Again absolutely delicious. Great meal, great venue, great value.

Best dinner I have ever had. The cheese cake was a cinnamon roll that was beyond words. Definitely be back soon

Witnessing Stormy seas from the comfort of a warm seat with a good meal is fantastic. Food was good, the only criticism is the buttermilk chicken burger tasting a bit like a roast dinner. Would recommend this to anyone visiting that is looking for a scenic meal.

Absolutely beautiful view to start with. Staff were most attentive and nothing was too much trouble, they carried our drinks upstairs and helped my dad who uses a stick. We had 4 different meals and they were all plentiful and delicious. Desserts - wow!! Perfection and very good sized portions. Will definitely be back.

Four of us came here to celebrate my sister's birthday. I have to agree with all the other positive reviews, great food and plenty of it. Attentive staff. Wonderful views. We'll definitely be back again.

Warm and friendly atmosphere with excellent and caring service. We had the gluten free fish and chips along with the gluten free sticky toffee pudding! It was absolutely delicious! Thank you for your attentiveness, hospitality and outstanding food!

Family took me for birthday dinner, I had never heard of this place, anyway we all had a wonderful evening great staff and the food was plentiful and top notch , I had the chicken stacker best ever and it’s one of my favourites, the Moules marinière sauce was just the best drinkable 😜 The fried hake excellent, even the humble fish and chips not greasy just perfectly cooked Lovely cocktails the rhubarb and vanilla bramble type was one of those you could drink gallons without thinking ! Would definitely go back

Popped in on the off chance for a table for four, as it looked quite busy. We were greeted by a warm friendly guy who took us upstairs to our table. One of us had gluten intolerance and she was advised of the options available (which were great) we all had different meals and drinks and everything was perfect. The staff were really lovely, food was delicious and we all had a great time.

Friendly, helpful, understanding and engaging team at the Coast. First time lunch visit for 4 adults and one 2year old. We were made to feel comfortable from the second we walked in. The food was of high quality and tasty with good portions for lunch at great price. Highly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Really a fantastic experience. We booked for around 20 people following a christening and were seated upstairs at a big table, kind of tucked away which was perfect as the children could run around without causing too much of a disturbance! Having pre-ordered, the food was served very promptly and everyone commented on how delicious it all was. I think usually with big groups some things are forgotten, some things have cooled down too much etc but it was all perfect. The service as well was brilliant with a special mention to Jackie who was taking care of us and was so attentive. We live locally so we know how good it is but I was pleasantly surprised that even with a big group the usual high standards were still there

Great night out last night. Food was very good and the menu varied. Shout out to the chap who booked a taxi for us and then came out in the rain to keep us updated on igs progress. You can't get better customer service than that.

Fontana’s crown jewel is its staff, I think it’s the most impressed I’ve been in a long time with a restaurant’s service. A beautiful restaurant with brilliant staff that would be fitting for any of the best restaurants across the country. We have been here a few times and tried a couple of different dishes now and the two that really stand out are the sirloin steak (beautifully tasty) and the chicken and satay spring rolls (absolutely delicious). Fontana understands its target market and flawlessly caters to their preferences, evident in its impeccable design and captivating atmosphere. It's worth mentioning that Fontana exudes an upscale fine dining vibe, reflected in its relatively higher prices. To truly appreciate the value for your money here a customer will need to be prepared to spend a higher sum of money so I recommend booking a table and indulging in a leisurely meal to savor the complete experience.

A lovely lunch dining experience, with attentive service, a relaxed atmosphere, and good quality varied dishes and drinks. Through a combination of factors, it's been over 25 years since I last visited, but that the restaurant has endured says so much about the ownership and commitment to excellence. It certainly won't be 25 years until the next visit!

Food was tasty however it didn't feel like a Michelin bib restaurant. Service was slow and not to standard. Breads and olives came out late. Restaurant staff should wear a uniform.

What a lovely spot. On the bustling High Street but a hidden gem (well to us) How did we not know this was here when it's been open for 27 years! It was lunchtime so very quiet but we had such a nice time. Attentive and friendly service and the food! I had the confit duck salad with chocolate mousse for afters. One friend had scampi then doughnuts and the other had the burrata salad starter as a main. All so good! Beautiful room and a lovely outside deck too. We sat well behind lunch closing time (sorry!) but we weren't rushed and really had no idea we overstayed. We will be back!

Very unsatisfactory, went there for my birthday dinner and instead of having an enjoyable time, both me and the Mrs ended up stuck to the toilet after leaving. The food was ok but the steak was 35% fat which was very disappointing. And to top of it the staff took it upon themself to add on a tip on top of the already large cheque (a tip was going to be given regardless but that’s besides the point) and when asked about it, I was met with a rather passive aggressive remark. All in all very disappointing, will not be back.

For me, did not live up to that rave reviews however was still nice. The seats were pretty uncomfortable and it was quite cold inside. Toilets are up steep stairs also. I went to try out the world changing scone and was very disappointed to be given what to me was a cinnamon roll with butter on top?? Was totally confused….call me old fashioned but I like to cut open a scone and fill with jam and cream?? Maybe it’s just be! I will say though, the coffee was very good.

The friendliest, cosiest, most delicious place on the planet. The service is always speedy and with a smile, and if you want it a bit of banter you can get that too! The food.. where do you start? I had the Thai sausage special and it was delish, spicy and sweet and savoury, like a total mouth party!! Mind you, every special is always a winner!! Actually everything I've ever eaten has hit the right spot!! Keep doing what you are doing Bay Tree because it works!!

We were in just after opening. Fresh out if the oven cinnamon scone fantastic accompanied by great coffee served by attentive, friendly staff. The menus had a great selection of dishes but since it was early morning we had the scone but will definitely be back for lunch next time in Holywood.

2 of us are here at the Bay Tree during lunchtime on a Wednesday - we both got a main and a soft drink - the variety of mains was great - all very unique and original options. I can't even remember the name of the dishes so I won't butcher them - but the food here was phenomenal! 10/10 the staff were also extremely friendly, charismatic and super efficient - will be there again when we visit Holywood again!

Popped here for lunch, staff were very attentive and gave a full description of the dishes. Kept the glasses topped up. Food was outstanding. Full of flavour and beautifully cooked. The pork chop melted in the mouth. The cheese board for dessert was delightful. Would not normally go for the cheese whilst out as ' i can do better at home'. However good portion and selection of cheeses.

Went for a birthday dinner. Get beef tartare for the starter...very nice fresh and enjoyable. For main get roast cod with prawns and mussels and as well pork belly. The food was nice. Staff very friendly A little bit too loud because very small place. But all together I recommend this place. Downstairs has a nice bar.thank you for your hard work.

Was recommended this place by 1 of the part owners cousin, so my expectations were high. I needed not worry. First course by my partner was reviewed as "that is delicious" 2nd course "that is so good" 3rd course "Can tell its made fresh". These guys know what they are doing. Reasonable price too so I'll be back when next in N Ireland. Staff were friendly. Parking was tough, you have to pay. Or park in the park about 10 minutes walk away for free and enjoy a beach front walk. Just go.

Fantastic Saturday lunch. Friendly, knowledgable service which wasn’t intrusive. Cosy, atmospheric dining room - not crowded, but small enough to be intimate. You couldn’t go wrong with any of the menu choices: all of the starters and main courses were excellent. Local produce cooked with skill and emphasis on flavours. Generous proportions and very reasonably priced for the quality.

First time visit to Noble, atmosphere fantastic the service was outstanding and most importantly the food was 10/10. This is definitely one of the very best restaurants in Northern Ireland. Will definitely be returning soon.

Food was excellent and service was first rate. I'd love to eat here again. It has an intimate atmosphere with not a huge amount of tables, this is why you have to book so far in advance...but it's worth it!

Our first time here, and wow what a great place!! The service was absolutely fantastic - we had a young gentleman serving us and honestly, we ordered drinks and they were on the table within 45 seconds of ordering. Then onto the food - popadoms to start with a couple of different sauces and chutney, absolutely delicious. Then for the mains I had the Rogan Josh Curry with King Prawns, really tasty, and flavorful with pilau rice & the Mrs had the Garlic Chilli Ghosht - the lamb was so so tender and the sauce again was perfect, I tried a bit as well and it was excellent. For dessert, trio of ice cream and I got the chocolate mousse. Brilliant and little rolo chocolates on my mousse as well was a lovely little touch. All in all very reasonable price as well for the two of us and it was super filling as well. We will definitely be back - really was top notch service I must admit.

We are just visiting town and stopped by for dinner and we are glad we did! Service was excellent. We got recommendations and suggestions from the servers who were very helpful and attentive. The food was amazing, very tasty and the portion sizes were spot on! If we’re ever in town again, we will be coming back for sure!

I'm not usually a fan of Indian cuisine, find it too filling and heavy, however ny son chose this for his birthday dinner and wow, I'm glad he did! The restaurant was lovely, very comfortable seats, plush furnishings which I think reduces the noise levels. The service was superb and both the food and the wine were delicious. For the first time ever I managed to eat a full meal and we all left feeling pleasantly full but not stuffed! Will definitely return and I hear they also do take out 😁

Dropped in here on a Monday night as we were staying at a nearby hotel and wanted to eat locally. We werent really expecting much as we were just looking for a quick bite out but wow, does this place knows how to do food & service. From the minute we entered, the waiters were the most efficient I have ever experienced, two of them setting the table in unison, like clockwork! We never wanted for anything as they always seemed to be there just as you needed them, but in no way overbearing either. The food was excellent and one of the nicest Indians I have had in a long time. Next time we head up to Belfast we will certainly pay a visit here.

My husband and I had a meal there last night. Service was quick and food was of a very good standard. The portions were big. However, there were a few little disappointments. Firstly, no one asked us if everyone was ok or if we had enjoyed our meal. Secondly, after our mains, no one asked us if we would like any dessert or tea or coffee. I did not feel that this was good customer service. Also, on a small point, one pilau rice to share would have been more than sufficient for two people, especially after popadoms and starters, but we were brought two, which was wasteful as one went back barely touched. There was quite a lot of my husband's main dish leftover and we were not offered if we would like to take the remainder home with us. To be honest, we felt a bit ignored at the end though we could see larger tables getting plenty of attention. This was our first experience here, but in honesty, we probably won't go back. Maybe as a regular, your experience would be different. Left a bit disappointed, even though we had been really looking forward to it.

£15 for fish and chips and it was nothing special. Flavour was fine, but nothing memorable. For that price, I expected better quality and certainly not a food hygiene score of 4.

Visited this place for the first time today, the food was amazing. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area and like seafood(you wont be disappointed). Had the best impromptu dinner here. Cod and Haddock supper with a side of Scampi. Not too greasy, nice batter, fresh fish. Scampi was best I’d had in a long time. Slightly pricey but good quality and massive portions. Couple of tables to eat inside and a few benches outside.

Indian food at it best, great for veggie, vegan foodies! This Kerala restaurant is my go to for comfort food (luckily they’re my local, I often get portions for mid week prepped food). I’m on a plant based diet and love having their team (always friendly and great chats) recommend seasonal vegetables dishes (off menu). A fabulous choice when you want a social meal - my go to social evening is selection of naan’s, mix vegetable starter and sides of saag paneer, aubergine curry, courgette curry and perhaps a chickpea curry. Their samoosa’s are worth a mention handmade just like Kerala street food. All that is missing is the beautiful Kerala beach and river setting. But still perfect to fight the winter blues! Can’t recommend more highly!

Got a takeaway from here. Chicken tikka masala and pilau rice. The food was easy to order online and came at exactly the time I ordered it for, which was great service. However the food wasn’t nice at all. The chicken tikka was rubbery, the pilau rice was the cheap yellow microwave rice and the naan wasn’t soft and fresh. Great service Poor food

Found this place last year and thought then it was the best Indian food we had ever had, so we had to go back just to confirm our first impressions and we did. We will return next year. Only 4 for Atmosphere as there were few people in but what do you expect at 5pm on a Thursday

It's a very good restaurant for Indian food. If you love chaat then it serves the best chaat in the whole of Hollywood and probably Belfast. Coming to the main course it has wide selection of veg and non veg food and the paneer butter masala is amazingly good with a bit of tangy curry. The staff are very polite and professional. This is definitely recommended for amazing Indian food and especially the chaat.

Really welcoming staff and calming atmosphere — it was hard to choose from the menu but it didn’t matter as everything was delicious. Recommend the prawn kerala curry and kadai chicken. Thank you Tulsi team! X

Best place for people who don’t like spicy and hot food and mainly food is expensive compared to other Indian restaurants.

This is a wonderful place, had been once before about 2 years ago & wanted to go back to see what it was like... Well, we are glad we did, the place was lovely, it was quiet & the atmosphere was great. The staff were friendly & very helpful, the tables were set out nice & the place was clean. The food is amazing, I fully recommend the nacho chicken burger, it's a mouthful to say the least. Everything about the food was awesome, the portion sizes were great & the food was hot. I wholly recommend this place to anybody out & about on a trip to Holywood.

Every single time I've eaten here, the food has been wonderful. Their Sunday roasts are very tasty and you get a lot of food. Atmosphere is nice downstairs - not too loud but has a nice vibe to it. It's really cosy and comfortable upstairs, and the noise levels are a bit quieter up there. The service was really friendly and quick. Loved it!

Came here for dinner today. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more attentive. We had the Sunday dinner sharing platter with 2 desserts and kids meals which were huge. The food was delicious, staff were lovely and atmosphere really nice with some live music. Great value for money, will definitely be back. Thankyou 🙂

Just went into Alexanders & Co for late drinks lovely feel to the place modern and homely decor plenty of drinks to choose big tables and chairs

Food was disappointingly bland. Tried three small plates: ribs that could’ve doubled as shoe leather, a fish taco that tasted suspiciously like a Birds Eye special, and duck spring rolls that might’ve emigrated from Iceland — the shop, not the country. Staff were lovely, and the place had a decent vibe until the volume got turned up by a table of drunks. Not enough rooms downstairs for the number of tables. Constantly being bumped or asked to move. Wouldn’t rush back.

Found this place by accident after walking along the Downs Coastal path from Bangor and needed to stop for a break and what a lovely experience it was .The fish and chip meal was top quality and really nicely presented. Some of the locals who made us welcome also made our day and we're really interested in our mammoth walk .These people from Northern Ireland are absolutely brilliant in every way and cant wait to return again soon.

We had the most incredible meal this evening at Frae. Service was second to none, and the quality of food was top notch, especially for the price. Also not one to complain about food but when there was a slight issue (I mean slight!) with one of the main courses, they were so understanding and even took money off the bill which wasn't necessary as they sorted it out and the pasta was 10/10. I'm also vegetarian and in a lot of places it feels like the options are a second thought, but the level of taste and quality were superb. We also were given as much time as we wanted to sit and enjoy our meal, compared to other other places recently where we have been rushed out. Couldn't recommend enough.

Located on the main street of Holywood, Frae is both easy to find and easy to access by all types of transport. The venue itself is compact seating only about 40 people but is bright, light and very modern. It's a fixed menu tasting style experience in which one of everything is brought out in preset waves. Starting with the rosti, soured cream and trout caviar it was perfectly crunchy, with a sour twist and a sweet pop from the caviar this 2 bite treat was well balanced and light. Next there was the cheese and ham Jambon, presented almost like a profiterole it was rich and decadent with the wonderful familiar flavours you'd expect from a classic jambon. The celeriac fritter was incredibly crunchy with a pleasant piquant from the pickled walnut, with the smoked gubben offering up a silky creaminess with subtle smokey undertone. The artichoke and smoked haddock chowder was wonderfully unctuous and velvety, perfectly balanced and deeply flavourful, served with bread that was somehow both the fluffiest and crispiest I've experienced. Round 3 was the braised shin, radicchio salad and the garlic potatoes. The shin was melt in the mouth tender whilst the split pea and carrots were very crisp and perfectly cooked. The shin bone with marrow was an added bonus of richness and punchy flavour. The salad was so fresh the parsley giving a fragrant lift. As for the potatoes, delicious crunchy packages of butterey garlicky goodness, I would truly buy these by the bucket. The dessert was profiteroles, aside from being utterly massive these are deep, and rich the richness is wonderfully offset by the silkiness of the cream. The service was exactly what you'd hope for, friendly and attentive without being overbearing and intrusive, the timings seemed well choreographed as if to not ask you how you're doing whilst you have a mouthful. I enjoyed everything about this experience, and I'd be surprised if Frae doesn't have a star in their future. I 100% hope to visit again soon.

Frae has been on my list for a long time. Finally I found myself in the neighbourhood. This is the best of contemporary food on this island. Thank you so much. Service and staff very good also.

Seen this on 'Food Featured' with Ryan and Matt on YouTube and knew immediately I had to try it. So glad I did. The special 'mussel dip' was a mussel sandwich.. well, so they said... The greatest ciabatta I have ever tasted (credit to Bara bakehouse in comber) filled with mussels, and the buttery mussel cooking broth in which to dip it was spectacular. The oxtail stew, another special, and no offence to my mum and gran, was on a different level to any 'stew' I ever tasted, and the comber potatoes, complete with fancy name, as a side, were crispy and tasty. At 2.30pm you don't think you need Veda treacle tart for dessert... But you do... You definitely do. Every bite I had was fully worth the trip from Belfast to Holywood, and with regular changes to the menu I'm sure the next visit will be too. Also worth mentioning the staff, superb all round.

Me and my mates went and the food was good and the staff were nice aswell 40 inch pizza for 24 quid is pretty good and it was good pizza at little wing you would have to pay that much for 24inch so it was a good cost

Have had out of here a few times and the food is absolutely delicious. Home made chips are the best and they do the best pizza in Holywood will definitely be back again and would definitely recommend this place to others. Food is fresh and tasty what more could you want. Staff are very friendly too and make you feel like a valued customer

My dad described this place as the best Indian food he’s ever had! Delicious curries, wide selection, friendly staff. For those with allergies or coeliac - loads of gluten free options, however they make you sign a waiver to indicate you understand the risk of cross contamination, especially from the spices. All mains are gluten free, so I took the risk and luckily didn’t get glutened. Unfortunately when our food came out the naan my companions had ordered was touching one of the mains, so I just didn’t eat that one, but for other folks with similar needs it might be best to order the naan after mains have been delivered to further reduce the risk of cross contamination.

I've tried many Indian restaurants, and I must say that Nu Delhi Restaurant is one of the best, one of my favourite. Starting with the service, the staff are kind, attentive, and knowledgeable enough to answer all questions about the dishes. The food is high-quality, tasty, and beautifully presented. The restaurant is beautiful, with a vibrant atmosphere. For those arriving by car, there's easy-access parking very close to the restaurant. We will be back and highly recommend it.

Good service and ambience, and the food flavours are very good indeed - I am vegetarian these days and there were plenty of options for me, I couldn’t choose between dal makhani and paneer kadhai so ordered both as sides along with jeera rice all cooked absolutely perfectly. I had a mixed veg starter, onion bhaji and aloo tikkhi were good but veg samosa wasn’t great tasting unfortunately. Also one of my colleagues was served the wrong main, however this was corrected quickly without any issues. Recommended.

The staff here provided excellent hospitality and given it is Belfast the banquet menu was reasonablely priced. All the food we ordered was of excellent quality and had good flavour to it. The inside is modern and chic and I would definitely visit again.

We visited here to celebrate my husbands birthday and opted for the set menu consisting of poppadoms with dips and pickles, mix platter to share and then had the choice of the entire menu for mains and a side dish. Every single dish was utter perfection and a taste sensation. The freshness and flavours where amazing and the meats were all cooked beautifully. We also ordered dessert and treated ourselves to a couple of gins each (highly recommend the jawbone ginger with honeycomb garnish) The staff were really friendly but not intrusive and the restaurant is decorated to a high standard, a great temperature and very clean! The bill came in at £108 which we thought was very reasonable given the ambience, service and quality of the food.

Ground level part of this restaurant seems to be closed. So you have to go to upstairs to be seated or get any food. We got lamb biryani which was not so bad but nothing special about it. The staff was attentive but not seems very friendly. Overall this is the only highly recommended Indian restaurant in this area.

The food was great! Ambience was cosy and warm, and they are dog friendly at the bar area. Service was friendly but took rather too long. We waited about half an hour for drinks orders, and a further 50mins for our dinner to arrive. The buffalo wings were great, as was the butternut squash soup and chicken curry.

Its that good, not only the food but also the staff / Chefs that we have been going every night whilst staying at the hotel (6 nights). Excellent menu with quality food choices which are very well sourced. A great place to eat. Worth the visit all the way from Plymouth in Devon !!

I came with family to watch the British & Irish Lions rugby match versus Australia (1st Test). The Guinness was poured with skill and care. It’s a very warm and welcoming pub. People had their dogs with them and I loved seeing the pet friendly environment in action. You cannot beat the location, and the views outside are fabulous.

Spent the evening after our wedding in here and it was one of the nicest meals we have had in a long time ( apart from our wedding food in the culloden but that's not an everyday meal). Got some cocktails which were the right amount of flavour but without a strong alcohol taste. The starters were great ( Pork belly & chicken wings ) then the fish & chips was nicely battered and had a nice flavour without being too greasy. Will be back at another point as the food was great and so were the staff.

My sister-in-law and I treated our 11 year old niece to a birthday lunch followed by a spa treatment and we had a wonderful meal. The portions were perfectly sized and the food delicious. The kids menu was great with our niece opting for the sausage and mash. The staff were friendly and helpful and, although we didn’t have one with us, it was wonderful to see dogs were allowed into the bar. Will definitely be back!

The goats cheese salad for starter was amazing. The chef's special, beef just melted in the mouth and remember to leave some space for the dessert menu equally delicious

Very disappointing visit. Our first time at Cultra inn, we had a voucher for Hastings and decided to use it due to location handiness. Our waiter was nice but seemed very new to the role, after we got our drinks we were waiting for a long while to get our food, seeing people who got sat after us receive their starters and mains before us. We both got chicken dishes and we were disappointed with the quality of both dishes. Chicken was so beyond dry it seemed like it was left out under a heat lamp for ages, which would explain the long wait for the food. We were planning to politely say to the waiter but no one came over to check on us until we were very much ‘finish’ with our food. When the waiter finally came he didn’t ask us anything, just took the plates and left. We didn’t want to risk dessert and as we got up to find someone to take our payment, we were met with a 10% charge for service, which was honestly a joke at this point. After issues with paying a portion of the bill with the voucher, we ended up paying just over £70 for a dinner that required us to stop in Tesco on way home and get better food. Definitely a first and last visit.

I went there multiple times while I was in Belfast. The service was really good, and the Margherita pizza 🍕 was excellent. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere, particularly on the weekends. One last tip, try their tiramisu 😉.

Service was absolutely amazing! We got served almost immediately. Staff was so friendly and lovely. The atmosphere was so chill. The pizza was delicious. We got the massive pizza and we had 4 people, fed all of us and we were stuffed. Inside was so cute aswell. their dips and starters were unreal too. The price was so much cheaper than i expected. i 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for lunch or dinner in belfast.

Love how you can watch all the pizzas being freshly prepped and made! We had one pizza made extra thin + crispy for an additional two pound, and the crust was definitely crispier, plus the pizza is stretched out bigger! We came early, but later on in the evening (around 6pm) people were waiting for tables.

The place wasn’t super packed but still busy. We ordered two gluten-free pizzas to-go and had a 30 minute wait. Manager at the time was apologetic and helpful when we went inside to ask about progress. Pizza tasted great but was a little on the crispier side and was not cut. The cheese showed lines of scoring but the dough wasn’t cut through at all and we had to spend some amount of time cutting through the dry dough

Pizzas were good, but we had to wait more than 50 minutes. Although the pizzas were tasty, the amount of toppings could be more.

Really enjoyed my visit to Little Wing Pizzeria in Belfast! I had the Pizza Polo, it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Great atmosphere and friendly service too. Highly recommended if you’re in town and craving good pizza! 😉

Been to little wings multiple times, the portion sizes and pizzas are always fantastic and they have a multitude of choices to pick from! The service at peak times is at times quite poor due to understaffing and therefore the atmosphere does suffer as you can feel the tension. Apart from that, if you go not during a lunch or dinner rush - the food, service and atmosphere are fantastic.

Don’t be fooled by the understated front of this restaurant, inside is a place bursting with a vibrant atmosphere and delicious food! I highly recommend the Birria beef tacos and the papitas fritas. The pulled beef paired with the crunchy shells and flavourful bone broth is a perfect combination. As I am lactose intolerant the option of the vegan cheese on the tacos and the vegan version of the papitas fritas made my experience even better. The Mezcal margaritas deserve a special mention as they are divine! I would highly recommend this place. It has become a favourite of ours.

Really positive surprise that we discovered thanks to a friend's recommendation! Because we went there just a couple days into the new year the most places along the street we walked by were closed. That combined with the fact that this place doesn't have the most visible entrance and that to reach it you have to go up an internal stair left us a bit uncertain. But then we entered the place and brought to our table where we could notice the color, the joy, the livelihood. The margarita was quite tasty, in particular the one done with mezcal. The guacamole was delicious and both tacos were really good. The waiter who served us was very kind and enjoyable to chat with.

Incredibly delicious, but pricey (it’s in city centre and has uncommon ingredients, so not over-priced, but be prepared!) Elotes/Esquites is one of my favourite items on any menu, and theirs doesn’t disappoint!

I stopped in for a quick dinner while staying at a nearby hotel and was very pleased! The birria tacos and papitas fritas were both delicious. The classic margaritas were also well-made. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. The music was good, although a tad loud at times. Overall, I'm very glad I found this place!

We had no reservation on a busy night but they welcomed us warmly. The service and the food were both brilliant!

Yummy taco Tuesday The tacos were bigger than we expected which was a pleasant surprise and really good. The tequila in the margarita hit, there’s no doubt about whether there was alcohol in it

Excellent homemade tortillas & guacamole. Shredded chicken tacos good, but too much filling. Better to split it into 3 tacos.

Took the grandkids here for brunch. They had a waffle with chocolate and marshmallows. My wife had a scone and a cappuccino and I had the soup of the day which was pea and basil with croutons and it was terrific. The service was friendly and the atmosphere nice. Will definitely be back.

Really pleasant restaurant with great food and value. Especially good on a Sunday for a sharer board. Staff are excellent and quiet relaxed atmosphere inside. Outdoor seating also available for good weather days.

The Sunday dinner sharing offer is good value but our roast beef was tough and had way too much fat running through it due to how it was carved and the quality of the cuts. it’s a nice Sunday dinner just disappointing compared to previous occasions. Service was good 👍🏻

Ordered a carb-free fry (all day fry minus the soda and potato bread (got extra egg and black pudding)) with poached eggs and a cappuccino. That was fine but the poached eggs were not cooked enough ( there was clear white which should be white white). As in so many places that serve 'cappuccino' what I actually got was a milky coffee with a slightly frothy top.

Steak on the stone First place we went out after being shielding from the start of lockdown. We couldn't have picked a better place, felt safe as they have all the covid safety precautions in place. The service was 2nd to none and food was great, we couldn't go passed the fillet steak cooked on the stone looking forward to coming back and doing it all again. Thanks 81 👌

Went for lunch recently. The cafe was packed but straight away we were shown to a table. Loved the decor and the very comfortable velvet chairs. Even though they were busy the service was quick and our waitress was very friendly. I got the potato and leek soup with wheaten bread. It was really nice and a big portion. I can see why they had lots of repeat customers!

Took my wife out for a post lockdown dinner in her favourite place in holywood 81. Both had the steak stones, picture speaks for itself!! 10/10, lovely starters and wine too. Screens provided for safety added a nice romantic touch!

Fabulous place with organic fruit and veg, loose/bulk items, lots of health food, and a tasty cafe! I was delighted to find a few vegan options, such as the soup, roasted veg toastie and super food salad, which were delicious. Highly recommended! Update: it's dog friendly - yay!

Fabulous organic and vegetarian cafe, bakery and shop in Holywood, Northern Ireland. It gives people with learning disabilities work opportunities and helps them improve their life. It's open Tuesday to Saturday and a lovely place for a tasty lunch. The shop is at the front and the cafe is at the back. The food and coffee is great and you'll be supporting a good cause by eating here.

A lovely cafe I have walked past so many times without thinking. The vegetarian/vegan menu might not be extensive but the food is delicious, healthy and energy packed. The service was how I like it. I'll be back.

This place used to be my favourite place to go for lunch. Unfortunately the place has went downhill fast. The past four times I have been has been the same. I kept going back to give the place a chance, but it seems it has changed for good, and not for the best. The place used to be a busy little cafe, full of eccentric characters. Now it stands empty. Even at busy lunchtimes when all the cafes around are packed. People are obviously voting with their feet. What used to be delicious menu with so much to chose from for a very reasonable price is now one laminated page with limited choice and very overpriced options. I haven't seen an adult in the place for months. I am not sure who is in charge. Just the same bunch of teenagers who sit in the corner on their phones. They never seem to have anything prepared. Ordering food usually involves the person taking your order running back and fourth to the kitchen, sorry we don't have that, sorry we can't do them. Camphill used to be full of lovely herbal teas and derserts on display near the counter. Now the place looks empty and dreary. All the eccentric regulars have obviously come to the same conclusion as myself. And that is, this place is drab, soulless and overpriced for very low grade food served reluctantly. Nobody would love to see this place improve more than me. However, I won't be back. There's only so many times that you can spend your hard earned money on very poor service and even worse food.

Camphill is, for me, the BEST place to eat in Northern Ireland. The food is second to none, delicious and full of goodness and the staff are gracious and lovely people. Anyone who hasn't eaten there is missing such a treat. LOVE IT! THANKS

My first time visiting and I had the soup and the quiche. I must say both were lovely. I will definetely be visiting here again when I go back home. I also left with a loaf of wheaten bread to bring home which was also delicious. Definetely worth visiting here, and an added bonus that this helps out a local charity!! Brilliant.

Popped in here shortly after lockdown eased. Was pleasantly surprised by interior.. Modern industrial feel.. Very well done. Staff very helpful and food was beyond excellent for all 3 dishes. Only negative I would give was the music was dull and depressing.. Granny elevator music

Had a birthday party there...the food was lovely, the staff were friendly, helpful & very accommodating. We were allowed to decorate the table (which lots of places don’t allow). Staff very friendly, helpful & cheerful. My filling in pie was more like a stew,would have needed a spoon. Didn't taste garlic in potatoes, garlic butter at bottom of dish. My only complaint would be we were not asked if we enjoyed our meal specially as most of mine was half ate.

Had Dinner here on Saturday evening, brilliant find! Food was amazing, had the whitebait to start and tomahawk sharing platter for 2. It came with 2 sauces, chips and veg. Everything was absolutely delicious! Lovely small intimate venue upstairs with views of the sea. The staff were super friendly and the manager could not do more to make it an enjoyable evening for the 4 of us. Best meal I have had out in a long time in Belfast/ Holywood, highly recommend. Thank you!

My partner and I had an incredible time at Cleaver last night. It’s such a charming little place with a warm and inviting atmosphere. We both ordered steaks with a few different sides and sauces, and let me tell you, they were absolutely out of this world! The steaks were perfectly cooked, and the chunky chips were the best I’ve ever had. The red wine jus was also incredible. To finished, we had sticky toffee pudding & again, it was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We wish we had gotten their names, but both were amazing. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing food. I especially loved the risotto and my husband loved the scallops. Great steaks of course. Most surprised by the kids menu which was not mass produced products but gorgeous well made dishes I would have been happy to have myself. Service was wonderful and cocktails were also gorgeous. Also very pleasantly surprised when the bill came! All in couldn't fault it and will be back!

Fabulous steak restaurant in Holywood, Co Down. The Tomahawk was a show stopper and the other fillet and sirloin ones amazing too. The 2 risottos were excellent ie salmon and scallops and very generous. Staff were very helpful and good fun. Definitely recommend it and we will be back 👍

Delicious food and friendly, relaxed service. These might be the best triple cooked chips I’ve had in a very long time (I didn’t even order them! I knicked them from my husband!) Tip: They have a separate dining room you can reserve for groups, and it looks so inviting.

We had an absolutely amazing night at Cleaver celebrating 2 birthdays. From booking to paying the bill we were so well looked after by the staff, especially Matty. Can't recommend highly enough.

We took our mum here for a birthday dinner and we had the most delicious food. The service was excellent and faultless. We appreciated the little details like heated plates, complimentary prawn crackers and large portion sizes. We left feeling very happy and very full!! Would highly recommend and if we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back!

Been coming here for long time even before it was taken over and called Lemon Grass. Had around 6 birthday parties. The owners are very friendly and remember our names. Might be just a little more expensive but well worth it. I like the duck 🦆 dishes and Chengdu king 🦐 prawns dish . Nice Irish ☕ to finish. Fully recommended.

Visited a few times, but seriously questioning why I ever go back. Produce here never seems fresh. Sad wilting lettuce leaves and lifeless pale tomatoes. The bread is total rubbish. Not even good value for money. You're better off going a few doors down to Centra's deli counter. I wish they would transition away from abundant use of single-use plastics (straws, cup lids, bottles, unneccessary plastic bags), bit behind the times.

Ordered a rotisserie chicken footlong...the ladle they use was so small that the amount of chicken on the sandwich meant I basically got a salad bap...they still charge the same as other subways tho Staff were very friendly and courteous...but since the owner is obviously a penny pincher why would you go back

The most incredible food, this is definitely our new favourite! The dishes were a great size, we got burgers and I have honestly never had a chicken burger like this one before, it was amazing! Service was quick and the ladies serving us was super friendly. Incredible views and an overall great atmosphere. I couldn’t recommend it more. If you haven’t tried it yet, I really encourage that you do.

Really nice food in this place. The burger was delicious. They need to consider adding side orders to the menu though, if this place is to sustainably appeal to local customers. Doesn’t have to be chips or onion rings etc, but maybe garlic potatoes or something similar.

Service was amazing, the owner [i suppose] made us feel welcome right from the start. Upon ordering, we were offered home made alcohol on the house, which was great. Food was fantastic, and the portions huge, 5/5 overall.

I had a great meal on Saturday night with some of my family, it was delicious. The entrance on the High street is so unassuming but when we reached the top of the stairs and walked into the restaurant we knew we were in for a treat. By The Way… it did not disappoint. We shall be back! Loved it.

A great place for lunch or dessert with coffee in a pleasant atmosphere. The waitress is great and always gives advice if you're not sure what to choose. Beautiful sea view. Tasty Polish food. Drinks, beers, and spirits. A great place to visit, spend some time. And eat your fill. The restrooms are beautifully decorated, clean, and smell good. I'll be back. I recommend making a note of this place so you can stop by and visit when you're passing by.

What a load of dung and a thief. Was driving through and was only place open. Needed a quick bite as on a time limit. Burger with bacon and Perrin of chips. £6.50. Burger was just outta freezer, when unwrapped it, nothing on it not even a bit of tomato never mind bacon. Chips tasted like the oil was boiled within an inch of its life. ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS. How is this place allowed to trade? STAY AWAY.

Sometimes you've just got to come straight home and write a review. Clean, quiet place and nice staff. Just a heads up on menu options that weren't available and soup of the day would've been good without asking. That's so minor though. The food and drinks were incredible! Dirty chai latte with almond milk. So good. Turmeric latte, such a vivid colour and tasted so rich. We both had the tofu scramble. Hands down the best one we've ever had and genuinely as an occasional meat and fish eater, the best dish I've eaten in some time. Get it before they change the menu again!! Hopefully we'll be back very soon!

Had a lovely lunch at Linchpin over the weekend and was really impressed. The food was absolutely delicious - fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, creating a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Service was efficient, and the whole place had a relaxed, chilled feeling that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the experience. Definitely one to return to!

Popped in with my friend on Saturday and we can't wait to return. We only had time for coffee and cake this time, but that was enough to experience the warm, relaxing environment. The coffee was brilliant and both the cinnamon bun and chocolate cake were exceptional. The staff were also friendly, helpful and efficient. Looking forward to returning and sampling more of the menu!

I have been to Lynchpin several times and was back again this morning. It is always fantastic. The brunch options, especially the tasty toast options and their signature “Hash”, are always absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and very well presented. The service is always excellent too. It is my vote for best brunch place in and around Belfast.

This place is incredible 😍 Food is next level. Honestly some of the nicest food I have eaten out, everything was super fresh and beautifully presented. Coffee was super tasty and I'm a picky coffee person. The waitress helped me pick out which coffee would be best suited and she was right. Service was very quick and there is a lovely feel to the cafe itself! I can not recommend this place enough!

Came in for brunch on a weekend with family and had a great experience. It was very busy when we arrived so there was a little bit of a wait for a table for four but we were offered little samples of their homemade smoothies while we waited! The gal taking our order was super lovely and friendly. I was very impressed with my food. I ordered a chai latte and the Korean mushroom wings with slaw and homemade chipped chips and it was all delicious. The chipped chips were unreal, especially with their garlic mayo. Everything is plant-based and nothing was sacrificed in terms of flavor or quality. I couldn’t decide between two items so ordered their banh mi toastie to go which was also so flavorful. We will definitely be back again!

Definitely worth the trip up from Cork! We had a lovely brunch of the focaccia sandwich and the Hash which were both so delicious and wholesome. Coffee, decor and service was lovely too:) we left with some takeaway treats; cinnamon roll & flapjack that were both delicious too! Will for sure be returning the next time we’re nearby🌱🤍

I’ve given this butcher several chances, hoping for better, but I’m really disappointed. I bought the goujons twice now and both times they were extremely salty — almost inedible. The seasoning is completely off, it tastes cheap and very poorly prepared. Considering this is supposed to be a reputable butcher in Holywood, I expected far better quality. Sadly, the goujons are more like a low-end supermarket product. Definitely won’t be buying them again.

Omg ... bought a sirloin from Corries today , was sublime in flavour & tenderness . A most enjoyable experience!

We have been a fan of the meat here since the shop opened, but today we experienced the artisan cheese and were really impressed. We were looking for an unusual gift for friends and were helped with our selection of cheeses with knowledgable comments and tastings. A great experience and we are delighted with the end product.

Very comprehensive range of cheese. Unfortunately whilst checking out what was available the server launched into a very hard sell approach taking down 6cheeses and insisted on us tasting we stopped after the first sliver as we felt we were being pushed rather than assisting us with our purchase.. This may work with some customers but I feel wait to be asked about the produce before launching into a full on sales approach.

It's a nice place with friendly staff. The food is normally good. But some of the meat tastes a little strong. Really like the pies there. Would recommend the chicken and ham. They also sell a selection of crisps and popcorn which delicious. The interior is really modern and the different shelves are well organised.

Great quality meats, fantastic service and really broad selection of meats. You can also call ahead with specific orders as I have in the past for different cuts not normally found at the counter. They don't just sell meat with full stock of vegetables and lunch options too.
