Restaurant
La Taverna del Mar is a seafood restaurant located in the heart of the Bay of Sant Pol de S'Agaro. The bright, white and blue dining room offers stunning views of the bay while serving artfully plated fish and seafood dishes. The chef, Lluis Planas, brings a wealth of experience in Mediterranean seafood cuisine to the restaurant.
We had lunch during the week. Our group was of 8 people. We shared salads and appetizers. The avocado with langoustines was exceptional. For a main course we had John Dori for 2 - baked with potatoes. For desert - lava cake. the food and the service was exceptional. i loved our experience. Fresh seasonal ingredients, fresh fish and a beautiful view to the sea.

Just amazing! Incredible service, attention and care. Highly recommended for dinner

We visited this place last year, but I remember one experience more vividly. In June, before the main season opened, I stopped by the restaurant to see if I could make an early dinner reservation, perhaps that evening, perhaps the next day. Yes, I'm well aware that reservations for such unique places need to be made in advance, unfortunately. We didn't have time, not even citing the fact that I wanted to show my loved ones the best local places and leave the warmest memories of the holiday in my heart, but rather that that person passed away, and I will no longer be able to give him such an opportunity for pleasant emotions anymore. The day I asked about this possibility, I didn't expect that we would be able to sit down in the restaurant, but what I didn't expect most was that after my answer, two waiters would laugh in my face! Once again, two waiters will laugh in my face when I asked about even the slightest chance of getting a table in the next two days! Now I have only one question: why do such places in the world exist, with a long history and respect for customers, to leave the best emotions in your life or so that you never come there again?! Anyway thank you for all...

Cozy restaurant with a breathtaking view over the bay. Menu has a good variety and they usually have fresh fish that you can choose yourself. Service was good but there is room for improvement. Overall, highly recommended!

Superb. We were a party of 14. All the food was excellent. I can highly recommend it from ambience, waiters and last but not least quality of food. Unbelievable great. Best food of the weekend in the area. Good lighting adding to ambience. TRY IT, you will not be disappointed.

Another fantastic place to be! Food, services and ambiance are amazing!
Robert P — Google review
One of the best restaurants and location in the Costa Brava. Great quality food and service, set by the water at St. Pol's beach. Next to beautiful Cami de Ronda and La Gavina Hotel. Parking, public blue zone usually available. Worth a trip for dinner and a walk by the coast.
Victor M — Google review
I almost canceled my reservations after reading some of the reviews. I'm happy I didn't because our experience was exceptional. There were five adults and we all ordered different appetizers and entree's. WOW! La camarera was excellent. She helped us decided exactly what we wanted. The wine list was well represented. We shared a fish dish and paella. All off the charts . Make sure you (try) to leave room for the cheesecake; it's not what you would expect.

Godard restaurant offers exceptional service and delectable cuisine. The lunch set provides an incredible combination of high quality and great value, with the price being only 18.5 euros. Additionally, two glasses of house white wine are included for a total cost of just 30 euros. It is the perfect spot to indulge after a swim, as there is also a picturesque coastal walking trail nearby.
Godard is a first-class restaurant that offers fine-dinning gastronomy right at the Sant Pol beach front. During pir visit we were welcomed by the owner who also checked for food intolerances. For meals, you can choose from a special daily menu or a la carte. As a free appetizer we got chia seed snacks and gazpacio soup. For the main course, we had rice with cuttlefish and pork sausages. For dessert, they had a fruit nest and chocolate brownies. The food was great, the staff was nice, the service was professional. the interior interior was decent and comfortable.

It was a wonderful lunch, great atmosphere and very tasty menu, I especially liked the shrimp carpaccio! Thank you for the wonderful service and very tasty food!!!

What an evening! Delicious food, with surprising dishes that were creative and perfectly balanced in flavor. The service was outstanding: warm, attentive, and clearly passionate. A great maître with excellent knowledge of wine made the experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking to be culinary surprised!

Excellent service. Yummy yummy. I had set lunch there. Amazing price over such quality. The set was 18.5, i had 2 glasses of house white wine, it cost only 30 euro. No need to say more. Very good place to reward your stomach after swim. 👍👍👍 very nice walking trail along the coast too .
Mabel S — Google review
I recently dined at Godard to give it a try, and my experience was rather disappointing. Despite the €35 menu (per person), the appetizers were just ok. Our table neighbours sent also the langoustines back too to the kitchen for poor cooking. The main dish, a black rice dish arrived half warm on one side and highly burned on the pan side. It was left to us to put it on the plate (self service?)When I raised the cooking issue, the waiter blamed us, attributing the cold rice to our slow eating. The dessert was excellent, but when I asked for coffee sugar, it came unusable in a pot half full of water. For an €85 lunch for two, attention to details is crucial. The staff's refusal to take responsibility and blaming the customer is not my understanding of good customer service. I would not recommend this restaurant first due to their attitude, the poor cooking standards and lack of attention to details. We tried but won’t come back. If they change attitude and if they double check what they send to the tables you might be pleased but we are done with it! And the interesting thing is that this restaurant never reacts to disappointing comments constructively… they don’t care… they seem not to be driven by improvement…

great restaurant and service. we got the table with a view and we enjoyed the night so much! thank you 🫶🏽
Elina K — Google review
Great place to sample the local fish delicacies, made to feel very welcome, expensive place bit then you pay for what you get and it's well worth it. Loved the summer specials offer. My Monk fish was a little over done but apart from that it was a lovely evening to take my family
Gareth — Google review
It turned out to be one of the most overpriced dining experiences we’ve ever had. The most concerning issue was that my friend was served fish that was completely undercooked. When we brought this to the staff's attention, they simply took the same piece back to the kitchen and re-cooked it, which was unacceptable for a high-end establishment. After the second attempt, the fish was still not properly cooked, and when we expressed our disappointment again, the management offered no resolution, not even a discount. The overall presentation of the dishes was very basic, lacking any visual appeal. Additionally, the staff was rude and inattentive; we had to pour wine from the bottle ourselves all the time and they struggled to answer our questions or make recommendations. In the end, we were left with a hefty bill and a spoiled evening. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience.
Katerina K — Google review
Very nice restaurant in a great location. The menu had lots of nice dishes on it and a very large selection of seafood with a choice of how you want things to be prepared. Very attentive and friendly staff. Good selection of wine and champagne. We ordered oysters, octopus, spider crab, sea snails and apple pie. Everything tasted amazing and food was presented very nicely with attention to detail. One of my favourite restaurants, will definitely return.
Zane R — Google review
Really disappointing and horrible fish. We came for a Birthday lunch and chose the menu. The main course was monkfish and was awful served on a big bone with hardly any fish on it, greasy potatoes and no vegetables. So upsetting as we all chose the same, and they charged a supplement of 3 euros for each one. I complained and they made no gesture to improve our experience. A lovely location but a complete rip off! Eat tapas in the town, its a better experience with more love.
Lakshmi M — Google review
Racist and discriminatory! had an extremely upsetting and disappointing experience at this restaurant. My elderly grandmother, who has limited mobility, simply wanted to sit and pray quietly — in a corner inside the restaurant where no one else was around. We didn’t just assume it was okay — we asked respectfully, thinking that such a peaceful, personal act wouldn’t be an issue. To our shock, we were told that her silent prayer would “make people uncomfortable.” That statement was not only unreasonable — it was deeply offensive. How can someone praying in silence, in a completely empty space, be considered disruptive or disrespectful? We were also met with judgmental looks, and the staff member who spoke to us used a condescending, dismissive tone — as if we weren’t welcome there. The entire interaction felt racist and discriminatory, targeting us not for our behavior, but for who we were and what we represented. No one should be treated like this — especially not someone elderly and respectful, simply practicing their beliefs in peace. This experience left us hurt, disrespected, and completely unwelcome. I won’t be returning, and I encourage others to think carefully about supporting a business that tolerates this kind of behavior. Do better!
Khalid A — Google review
Discriminatory and disappointing. We visited this restaurant, and my elderly grandmother wanted to pray quietly in a corner where no one was around. The staff refused and said it would make other people uncomfortable — which is a ridiculous and offensive excuse. We were peaceful, respectful, and didn’t disturb anyone. Denying someone the ability to practice their religion like this is clearly discriminatory and disrespectful. We left feeling deeply disappointed and unwelcome. (I do not recommend this restaurant)

Great location right on the beach with delicious seafood. The seafood is very fresh and cooked just right. Their daily special dishes are a great deal.

Very poor service. Food was terrible. The garlic wash burned. After we returned it was the same, will not recommend. We've send to food back and nobody even bother to check if we are OK. Zero attention to customer..Not god at all!!!
Svetlin S — Google review
So the quality of the food is good. My problem is when you pay 33 euros for clams, you are 4 people, and they serve just 8 of them, even though they were meaty, it doesn't justify the price. The dishes were tasty (we ordered fish as seconds mainly), and the service was good and attentive
R E — Google review
Beautifully presented seafood, well cooked and served quickly. We paid about £43 each for two courses but no wine. However the staff really, really need to smile at paying customers. I felt like I was an inconvenience to them every time I needed something. Go here for the food, not the service.
Jon M — Google review
All together a fine place for lunch on Easter. Monday. Food was good/mediocre, considering the price. I found the scallops with bacon and walnuts bland, though the squid/artichoke was solid. Service was fine and the view (right on the sea) unbeatable.
John R — Google review
Excellent fresh fish, pretty good paella, attentive staff. Could have done with a few more shrimp in the paella (one each). Great view of the sea.
Lorna F — Google review
Paella was awesome and in good price, but other dish prices were too high comparing to restaurants right next to this and as good as this one. Not so nice moment was that they brought bread by default (we didn’t order) and then charged 2,60 eur for it.

Great place to enjoy paella and traditional seafood near the beach. We ordered five set menus, which included starters, paella, and dessert for €29.90 each. The food was delicious and the service was excellent—Elena, our waitress, was especially kind and attentive. A highly recommended experience!

Prices was not clear. We did paid 54 eur for one shared plate Zarzuela with couple sad shrimps, even less.oysters lot of cheap fish and sauce. Not impressed.

Great sea food and fish dishes, one star less because of huge variations in the service. It can range from one night having the loveliest service, chatty, friendly and attentive to the next night, rather distant, no checks if everything is ok and forgetting half of the ordered drinks.

Nestled along the stunning Costa Brava, El Foc is a delightful family restaurant that brings the essence of Argentina to life through its exceptional grilled meat offerings. Guests rave about their experiences here, often noting how easy it is to navigate the menu thanks to an iPad translation feature. The unique setup allows diners to view various cuts of steak in a fridge, complete with details on their origin and type.
Very good meat, Black Angus very well

I rarely eat meat and we randomly stopped here because everywhere else was booked out. By far the best food we had in the 4 days we were in S’agaro. Avoid the beach restaurants. Overpriced and super average. Come here instead. Amazing service, very friendly staff and great price. We’ll definitely be back.
Aymen N — Google review
Great meat , had a great dinner , we loved the ribeye from Argentina , friendly waiter, will come back for sure
Ge B — Google review
The most incredible experience ever! We don't speak any Spanish and the menus were on an ipad translated, which made ordering so easy. All the steaks on the menu can be seen in a fridge with a sign of the cut (showcasing the type, région & if they were imported). Everything is prepared in an open kitchen. The food, service and atmosphere is one of the best I've ever experienced - surpassing some of the Michelin restaurants I've ever been to. We ordered a set meal for 2 which included your choice of drink - we selected the house wine🍷, empanadas, grilled corn (so well cooked - grilled & brushed with butter) and a tbone steak. The steak came on a hot plate but we also got another sizzle plate to cook the meat to our liking. Do not skip out on dessert, according to my husband the tiramisu is the best he's ever had. The staff and the main cook made the experience unforgettable. Our table was right infront of the cooking area so we were able to watch everything being prepared and you can see how passionate he was preparing and plating the food!
Elaine K — Google review
Great meat prepared by the pros. Service is friendly though they forget sometimes the small extras ordered. Overall, very good experience.

Nestled within the stunning Hotel S'Agaró, Guingueta sa Conca is a culinary gem that showcases the best of Mediterranean cuisine. This charming restaurant prides itself on serving fresh seafood, particularly monkfish, which is celebrated for its tender and versatile meat. The chefs expertly prepare this delicacy at low temperatures to preserve its exquisite qualities. Guests can indulge in dishes made from locally sourced fish and shellfish caught by nearby fishermen, ensuring every bite bursts with freshness.
Why on earth does this place have such a low rating? Solid seafood-based tapas, with a surprisingly broad menu for such a small kitchen. Excellent service. Exceptional location on the beach. Great vibes. Nothing not to love!
Ken R — Google review
Food was average, nothing special, we order a Fillet but after a while the waiter said they don’t have it. So we ordered an entrecot that had not much taste. They didn’t salt the food. One of the plates of seafood came cold. The service is really bad. Plating was ok. We asked 3 waiters for Allioi… they come and go and forget about what you asked. The bread was probably since 2 days old and hard. When we left the waiter didn’t even answer to my Goodbye. The staff looks like bored and not friendly. Location great, but service terrible.
Laura P — Google review
Incredibly rude staff. Took ages to serve me, all I wanted was an ice-cream which was marked on the board 4€, gave him 10€, took ages to give me my change back, then slapped it on the counter , 5€ all shriveled up! I called his attention as the change was wrong, he owed me and he said the price on the board was incorrect. Unbelievable, rubbish costumer service. Don't bother going here !
Anabel M — Google review
Loved this beach bar. It opens early, so it’s a perfect stop for a (refreshing) drink after a morning run.
Victor W — Google review
The food is over priced although the service was efficient. The calamar a la andaluza was entirely tasteless (€18!). The huevos con patatas was 2 fried eggs and a few chips (€10). New low for Spanish beach food.
Samantha R — Google review
Much better than the reviews show. Just put your name in for a table when you get to the beach
Todd G — Google review
Impertinent staff, mediocre food, over-priced. They only allow 90 minutes per sitting and they are notoriously slow . They refused to serve us cava at the end because we were over 90 minutes. The manageress was impertinent, unprofessional and rude. Don’t waste your money here
Andrew R — Google review
Terrible service. I had come from swimming at the beach in a swimsuit, to the chiringuito to talk to my aunt who was sitting alone at a table, and within 2 minutes, two separate waiters rushed over to me and rudely remarked that I needed to wear more clothes. No swimsuits allowed at the beach?? Maybe I should go fully clothed at a Michelin restaurant, but at a beach bar? Also, when we asked to pay, they gave us the “talk-to-the-hand” move and left us waiting for 15 minutes. I was also screamed at, no exaggeration, for accidentally using the handicapped bathroom as a “healthy person”. Beautiful beach, bad restaurant.

Authentic Japanese restaurant
S'Agaró Sushi Kaizen is a delightful dining destination that promises an unforgettable experience for sushi lovers. Families will find it welcoming, with a menu featuring delicious starters like chicken skewers and buttery vegetables. The main courses shine with options such as chicken noodles, salmon hosomaki, and their unique hot sushi set—though some may find the use of sour cream in the hot sushi a bit unconventional.
We went there with kids for dinner. Had couple of starters chicken skewers and vegetables in butter, which were lovely. Our mains were chicken noodles, salmon hosomaki and their special hot sushi set(cant remember the name). We loved it all, only little nag that they used sour cream or smth similar in hot sushi, not to everyones taste. Then we had lovely desserts, my favourite was mango jelly with ice cream inside. Yum. Service was very good too. The toilet looked like it needed a bit more attention.
Yana K — Google review
Best sushi ive ever had, amazing service and waiters, even gave us a free dish. 10/10 would recommend. Samurai roll and wagyu is the best
Seb Z — Google review
Sushi was OK, but portions are really small. I ordered a bowl (don't remember the name) and was incredible small and basic (anyone could do it) for 11€. It did not help the slow service (more than 1h for 4 plates)... Expensive for what you get, better options nearby.
Agustin — Google review
One of the best sushis I have tried so far. The quality of their products is outstanding and the service is great. All sushis are super tasty and have very well balanced flavours. From now it will be my go-to sushi place!
Pilar U — Google review
Coming from a person which had sushi countless time from all over the world. The chef here had no professional training and should not be working in the kitchen, have no idea what to put into rolls. Gave us the worst cut of fish which should not be eaten. Takes an hour and a half to make 6 nigiris. Sushi lovers stay away, you are warned :)
Stephen C — Google review
Disappointed in this restaurant. The sushi rice was plain (not enough vinegar), surprising for a Japanese place. And portions were small, it would have been quite expensive to eat 2-3 dishes per person until full.

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food is incredible. Service spectacular. You will not eat in a better place. Everything is high quality! Also Alex and his brother are very nice!😊

I had a decent time here, but it wasn’t anything special. The place has a nice look—clean, stylish, and comfortable for a casual meal. The staff was polite, though they weren’t always quick to respond. The menu offered a good variety, which I appreciated, but the food itself was hit or miss. My entree was okay but lacked the bold flavors I was hoping for. My partner’s dish was better but still not memorable. The drinks were a highlight, and the dessert was solid. Prices felt fair, but I expected a bit more for what we got. It’s a fine spot if you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

Really impressed, we had a lunch menu very close to a fine dining, great job guys. The menu is really different and full of flavors. A bit pricey if a la carte but it’s worthy.

Shirley, Mar, and the entire team did, once again, such a nice and friendly job. The cuisine is fresh and innovative, I had the Paella (seco!) which was delicious. So nice to come back here!
Roland — Google review
Casa Teva was a great discovery. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with a smile, which always makes a difference. As a welcome detail, they offered us a delicious amuse-bouche that we really enjoyed. We shared the tuna brioche, which was excellent and very well prepared. Then my husband had the dry rice with prawns, and I ordered the tuna ceviche. Both dishes were very tasty, though the ceviche had only a few small pieces of tuna — it felt more like a starter than a main course. Regarding the rice, the menu photo shows four prawns, but my husband received only two, which was a bit surprising. We also did the olive oil tasting, which includes bread, but it’s important to note that the menu clearly states there’s an additional charge of €4 per person for the bread and petits fours. It would be helpful if this were mentioned again when ordering, especially if bread is already included in another option. The wine selection was good, with interesting and well-presented choices. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience with attentive service and well-executed dishes, though a few small details could be improved to fully match the level the restaurant aims to offer
Maria F — Google review
An Unforgettable Evening at Casa Teva ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stumbled upon Casa Teva almost by chance. It was closed yesterday, and today we had planned to go somewhere else — but that restaurant happened to be closed, so we ended up here. And honestly, it felt like fate. From the very first moment, everything impressed us. When I called to make a reservation, the person who answered spoke perfect English — something quite rare around here — and kindly informed us that only indoor tables were available as the terrace was fully booked. We agreed without hesitation, and we’re so glad we did. Walking in, we immediately felt that Casa Teva is not just about serving food or presenting a big check — it’s about creating an experience to fall in love with. This is a place where people care deeply about every detail, where they want you to savor the evening and leave with unforgettable memories. We weren’t very hungry, so we started with the tomatoes and tuna — the most flavorful, perfectly ripe tomatoes I’ve ever had in my life. We then tried the olive oil tasting, which was delightful, and for the main course, we shared a sea bass. And let me tell you: it was the best sea bass I’ve ever tasted. Perfectly cooked, delicately seasoned, and simply extraordinary. As a wonderful surprise, we were offered a complimentary gazpacho paired with a brioche and truffle — an elegant touch that made us smile. For dessert, we ordered the cheesecake. Just last week in Bilbao, we thought we had discovered the best cheesecake ever… but Casa Teva’s version surpassed it. Silky, delicate, and absolutely divine. To everyone at Casa Teva: thank you for this incredible evening. The atmosphere, the service, the cuisine, the wine list — everything was exceptional. You made us feel truly special, and this dinner felt like a celebration. We will cherish this experience and can’t wait to return.

What a difference a day makes! Or 2 weeks. When we visited on July the food was better, service friendlier. August the price goes up, quality goes down. Very large and varied choice on set menu, something for everyone. However, avoid in August. I understand the height of season changes circumstances but this felt like profiteering and poor value. La Cibulina, a pizza restaurant in town, offers good value for money with fast service and tasty dishes. The location is also pleasant. They serve pasta and pizza, with the salmon pasta being particularly enjoyable. However, the presentation of the pizza could be improved. It would be beneficial if they had English-speaking staff and an English menu available. Despite not being able to give a 4.

We came to celebrate first birthday of our son. The choice was made based on pizza we observed a few weeks in a row. According to my taste pizza was ok, but nothing special, but my husband liked it a lot, because it was crispy. Our son looked quite happy with pizza as well. So, this is just matter of taste. Very important moment with babies who can not wait (one year old boy can not for sure) was speed of service. We got our food less than in 10 minutes after ordering. Can not be good for romantic dating, but for us it was ideal. Pasta (we took “Ravioli with Bolognese”) was just great. Strongly recommend. Taste was very good. Child was happy as well. We also did order the salad (“Buratta” with tomato). It would be out of question if cherries would not be rotten (spoiled and souring). We did share the salad and all 3 adults come to the same conclusion. We did share with waiter, she invited the manager of the restaurant, but nothing came after that: nobody came with feedback, the salad was fully included in invoice, no coffee/desserts were offered complimentary. About coffee/deserts etc. In general service is good: table was served and cleaned fast, but it is serious lack of attention and love. We had a birthday crone of the baby you hardly can skip in Spain, even if you are talented. But we did not have any expectations about that, just spoiled with general lovely attitude to the babies everywhere here. But no wines, coffee etc. were offered after food - this is quite strange. We had a feeling we are just tourist once comes - once go.

I really wanted to like this place. The waitstaff were so kind and everything came out quick. The food is as so boring though. We got the burrata salad, the. I got the genovese pizza and my husband got a calzone. The burrata salad was so boring, and so uninspired. My pizza was so bland. There was nothing particularly wrong with anything but the crust was bland, the sauce was bland, the cheese was bland, the toppings were bland. This was by no way fault of the chef, everything was perfectly presented and cooked, but by god they need to upgrade the quality of the ingredients. If the sauce had more flavor, or the cheese tasted like something then it would have been lovely. But as of right now, there is a lot of room for improvement. Get the chef some quality ingredients!! Unless they retouch their menu, I’d give this place a miss.

Ate here twice in the last weeks and have to say it is good value for money. The dishes were served fast and the taste was good. Location is nice too. I ate pasta ( see photo ) al salmone, which was very nice and pizza. The pizza tasted great but it was not made up very nice. Also it would be nice if they spoke at least some English and offered an English menu. I would give 4.5 stars but Google doesn't allow it.

Terrible experience Absolutely disgusting. The waiter who seemed in charge of the young waiters was very rude to me. I returned my patatas bravas as they were cold. The waitress took them off me without apologising (I speak good Spanish). The one in charge (a south American or someone from that area) brought them back and asked if I wanted to order more food (apart from 2 rounds of drinks for 4 people). I said no, and he replied joder (which means fffing hell). Then, there was a big argument in the kitchen (right next to us) with the cook or somebody else, screaming at his staff. When I went in, I saw a poor waitress crying, and all the rest of the staff were upset or muttering things under their breath when they were coming out to serve. It was a disgraceful scene, and my family and I felt very sad for the young workers there. I would definitely not recommend this place to anybody, absolutely disgraceful!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Italian restaurant A' Luna Ross S'Agaró Ristorante Pizzeria and visited it twice. The pasta dishes were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. While the pizza crust was a bit too soft for my liking, the veggie pizza was excellent. I also tried other delicious options such as gnocchi, salmon penne pasta, mushroom and walnut pasta, spinach ravioli, and goat cheese walnut pear salad.
This restaurant serves by far the best Italian food in town. The portions are very generous. The pizza is Napolitan style with a delicious crust and toppings. Salads are served in bowls and contain fresh ingredients. The prices are rather average. The staff was friendly and spoke English. While the seating area is positioned mostly in an outside covered and heated area, the temperature in winter months could be experienced on the colder side but still acceptable.

(Translated by Google) Romain Fornell has been running the kitchen at Hostal la Gavina for a few years. His knowledge of French cuisine and Catalan products at the same time is reason enough to be at the helm of Candlelight. The atmosphere of La Gavina's cinematographic set, the harmony with which the people who are part of it, customers and staff, live together, make the experience at Candlelight the most impactful place on the Costa Brava. Oriol Fernández, a young chef who has lived the kitchen since he was a child in his parents' restaurant and trained among others at the stove of Alain Ducasse, runs the kitchen every day which has caused a real aesthetic, gastronomic and of course flavors. The summer collection menu puts the local product in defense, this makes us even more proud of what we have, of our gastronomic culture. It starts with an appetizer of tuna tartlets and king crab, a crispy chicken skin with squid tartare, panipuri with cod brandy and trout eggs and sealed by a Royal delight of foie gras, armagnac and portobello. The dishes start with a cucumber curd salad, a courgette flower, nightingales, almond and nantua sauce to give way to a crayfish, alpine asparagus and champagne air, a dish that brings together the Costa Brava and the Azur. Bottone stuffed with eel with foie gras foam and spring onion and we finish with turbot with basil mousseline and celery soup and a pigeon, absolutely gourmand. As it could not be otherwise, the desserts are from another planet, first you are refreshed by a celery, basil and lemon sorbet and once the rest, the absolutely perfect, flawless and delicious pear soufflé. A friend often says that there are people who travel thousands of kilometers to come and see and enjoy the Costa Brava. We have it next to us, it is our ideal "pied-à-terre" to make our summer this: a summer collection, of memories, moments, mental notes that awaken us to existence, we don't have to go far away (Original) Romain Fornell dirigeix la cuina de l'Hostal la Gavina des de fa uns anys.

(Translated by Google) Candelight, under the culinary direction of renowned French chef Romain Fornell, offers a dining experience that feels both majestic and somewhat uneven. The summer patio is a gem: a romantic, understated, and elegant corner, candlelit with lush vegetation and piano music in the background, creating an idyllic atmosphere complemented by elegant table service. The gastronomic offering is based on two tasting menus of Mediterranean cuisine with distinct French touches, starting at €120 per person. We opted for the signature menu and, overall, found the portions well-balanced and most dishes well-executed. The six starters are a strong point, with the three with French influences particularly noteworthy: the pâté en croûte, the foie gras royale, and the egg with caviar. However, some main courses do not reach the same level of excellence. The vichyssoise with trout eggs, served in an original way in an ice bucket, is more interesting for its presentation than for its flavor. The Palamós prawn with caviar on the head is a disappointment, as the size of the prawn is not as expected, nor does the caviar stand out, its flavor being lost in the juices of the prawn. Similarly, the lobster in puff pastry suffers from an excess of flavors that overpower the flavor of the main ingredient, as with the legs. Fortunately, the menu redeems itself with the strip of sirloin, which is spectacularly flavorful. The service, while very professional and friendly, is somewhat cloying. In contrast, the sommelier's professionalism is impeccable, a major plus for wine lovers. At €230 per person, including a bottle of Ruinart brut, the experience at Candelight falls into the luxury category. Despite some ups and downs on the menu, the extraordinary atmosphere and the skillful craftsmanship of most dishes make it a worthwhile option if you're looking for a romantic evening in an unparalleled setting, as long as you're willing to accept that not all dishes will live up to expectations.

They have 2 menus, one short which is more oriented towards seasonal products and the second menu which is longer which would be Romain Fornell's Classics. . We opted to order the “short” menu. You start with 4 appetizers. I highlight the bacalla branda pani puri and the crispy chicken skin with white prawn tartar. Then we will continue with an assortment of breads with their butters. . We loved the entire menu adapted for lovers of French cuisine but I would like to highlight: the red prawn in salt with caviar, the turbot with razor clams and basil mousseline and the pigeon with its liver choux. Also say that the room service led by Paco and Florián was at the level of the dinner. . I have the feeling that at any moment they will give them their first star. Amazing!! The food is really delicious, we loved the rose wine and the service and staff was excellent. We were there for lunch and actually went back for dinner, which I have never done before in my life, because it was so good! Highly recommend the cheesecake, but honestly, it’s hard to decide when everything is so delicious. Highly recommended, will definitely come back when in the area, no doubt.

It was AMAZING! The food is great, the service, the atmosphere. The interior is super stylish. And most importantly the kitchen was OPEN! P.S. The stratchatela salad almost had no veggies. And I’d work on desserts and it’s kinda weird to eat a dessert with a soup spoon🤣

This restaurant is an absolute gem, truly worthy of a Michelin star. From the moment you step inside, the stunning interior captivates with its elegant yet warm ambiance, every detail crafted with genuine care and soul. The service is impeccable—attentive, professional, and infused with a warmth that makes you feel truly welcomed. The dishes are nothing short of extraordinary; each plate is a masterpiece, thoughtfully designed and bursting with incredible flavors that linger long after the meal. This is dining at its finest, an experience that blends passion, creativity, and perfection. Highly recommend!

This stylish beachfront restaurant boasts stunning ocean views, especially from its upper level. Thoughtfully designed, it offers a diverse and appealing menu. To start, you’ll find flavorful options like corvina ceviche, shrimp croquettes, and a variety of other appetizing starters. The main courses include a rich selection of paellas, premium meats, and fresh seafood dishes. While the pricing leans toward the higher end—approximately €50 per person—it aligns with what you’d expect from seaside dining in this area. We opted for the Palamós prawns and fire-cooked shellfish rice. The dish was expertly prepared and packed with bold, intense flavors. I thoroughly enjoyed it, though it might be a bit strong for those who prefer more delicate tastes. Service was top-notch—attentive and professional throughout. A special mention to Joan, who made sure everything ran smoothly. All in all, it was a memorable dining experience in a picturesque coastal setting.

This was an amazing place to meet a friend and enjoy delicious food. We had the black rice paella, which was absolutely wonderful, and a fresh tomato salad that was truly delightful. Very nice and cozy restaurant in front of the beacg. It's a vibe, good taste. The paella was good, fresh and decent portion for 2. The pistachio tiramisu was insanely good. Just one little comment, they forgot our patatas bravas but just a minor detail... I would come back.

Délit de faciès The manager (Carla) received us and placed us at the worst table she had on the terrace facing a column where there was no view. All the tables were empty but apparently they were all reserved for hotel guests who have their own specific place. After a long chat, she gave us the next table and told us we had to leave at 2pm (knowing that it was already 1.15pm). She came back 5 minutes later to take our order. We noticed that the people who arrived after us were neither hotel guests nor regulars, and we ended up staying until 4.30pm without her coming back to see us. The waiter (Paco) put a smile back on our faces with his kindness and availability. The rest of the staff are insipid. The food was good. On the other hand, we didn't feel welcome. A bitter taste for a nice bill...

Last year, I had the pleasure of visiting Frankfurt S'agaró, a tapas bar, with my friends. The establishment offers delicious burgers accompanied by crispy fries, all served with exceptional hospitality. It is evident that they derive great pleasure from tourists attempting to communicate in Spanish. This warm and welcoming attitude contributes to the overall enjoyable experience. I am already looking forward to revisiting this charming place in the future.

This was the nicest rump steak I have ever had. The steak is cooked on an open grill and the slightly charcoal teast was sublime. The atmosphere in this quaint restaurant was relaxed and I loved the classic 80s American soft-rock/pop music which was making me sing along. The sangia was also very delicious. And for the top quality of the food I thought it was very reasonably price. Excellent place, I highly recommend.

Really good and fresh food. Grilled on a big open bbq. These guys know how to handle their meats. Surprisingly good in a touristic place like this one. I would definitly recommend to anybody who liked grilled meat. Watch out, most of the meat, like a burger, is really just the burger...no buns or otherd come with it. Ask for seperate fries as a side dish.

I ordered a black Angus Steak which was cold, stiff and quite frankly tasteless I ordered it blue but at the price you pay it should at least be warmed through when cooked properly we had absolutely no condiments with our food. The effort made by the servers was appalling we speak between myself and my wife 3 or 4 European languages and yet still we had problems with communication. I like things simple and dinner Steakhouse you should not be able to go wrong but here it was quite the opposite I would advise nobody to go there post

Not an enjoyable experience. The service was very slow, we waited around 20 minutes to order our food. Place was not tourist friendly with no waiters speaking sufficient english. The meat was of bad quality and not large enough portions for the price and too fatty.

Well i had high hopes for this place, but i am afraid they did not deliver. Service was fine, we were seated promptly with kids and drinks were served. Then we had to wait for a very long time. Kids were getting bored. Eventually we had to ask where our food was and it arrived. We opted for beef, kids had potatoes, chorizo and salad. I am afraid the meat was not good at all, i could not cut or chew my piece, my hubby's piece was ok, but fatty. The rest of the food was fine. I wish it was better, but i will not be going back for sure.

The hotel is in a great location and absolutely charming. It is squeaky clean and decorated with class and a flare for fun. The spa is relaxing and a nice way to end a day at the beach. The staff is amazing. They were kind and gracious with our limited language skills and made it a very enjoyable stay. We planned on staying for one night but enjoyed it so much that we extended it to two. The beach is directly across the street and there is a delicious gelato shop next door.

(Translated by Google) The pizzas are good and they do good deals, especially with the medium ones at 2x1. I really like the "Catalan" and you can also make it to your liking. If you order them through the website or their app, they give you more discounts.

(Translated by Google) I order 3 pizzas and they bring 2. They speak in Spanish And apart from wanting to be right a certain ana of s' agaró. It doesn't offer me any alternative. A personnel disaster. never again (Original) Demano 3 pizzes I en porten 2 . No m'ofereix cap alternativa. Un desastre de personal. Mai més.

(Translated by Google) We ordered several pizzas ahead of time on the website, we arrived and the order did not exist according to them, they told us next time by phone. To wait. After waiting, they give them to us with thin dough when we have asked for normal ones. A esperar.

(Translated by Google) If you close at 11:00 p.m., set the schedule correctly, it doesn't cost anything to suggest the error in the schedule (00:00) and have it fixed... you tell her and on top of that the moron speaks badly to you saying that it has always been like this, come on They never think about the client, right? It's normal that fewer and fewer people want pizza from there, 10 years ago they were the biggest thing in the area, now not one more... At least the delivery people have always put on a good face! I imagine that to be able to lose sight of her for a while.
