Vicus was an unforgettable experience. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, impeccable service. We were treated with warmth and kindness, with all staff being incredibly nice, patient, and considerate. They served a dish of sautéed local wild mushrooms that blew my mind. The cannelloni with prawns was a fresh, tasteful dish with depth and vibrancy. Even the hot sandwich with jamon, cheese, and truffle, a dish I was surprised to see amongst the rest of the sophisticated menu, was a carefully considered take on street food that raised the ceiling on what I thought a panini could be. Finally, the black rice with squid was complex and full, exhibiting a mastery of extracting the flavor from the fish into the black rice which featured a more saucy texture than traditional paella. Even the bread was impeccable, like bread you would get at expensive Parisian restaurants, and the staff brought us an appetizing first dish with anchovy-stuffed olives that was mind-blowing. On top of all this, they were considerate of my partner’s nut allergy, giving us a full allergen menu ahead of time and making sure to cater to her needs. On top of all this, Vicus is in Pals, a sleepy farming town that felt like I was being transported back to medieval times. Choose Vicus, this place was absolutely stunning.

I had high expectations for this place. The ambiance was great, and the staff was professional. However, I was a bit disappointed by the tomato salad and aubergine dish. The paella, on the other hand, was good, and they have a great wine selection.

This restaurant is a real jewel with an inventive menu, great service, a lovely atmosphere and most importantly of all great food. We have now been on 5 or 6 occasions and never been disappointed. The deserts are so good we now always take 3 to share between 2.

We had such a wonderful dinner at Vicus! Beautiful understated decor in the front room with lovely classic accents (check out the gorgeous old bar). The service was nothing short of perfect. Relaxed, friendly, but also hugely helpful with my wife's allergy and a great wine recommendation. The food was superb throughout. Standout were the rice with pork ribs, the fresh tomato/melon salad and the smoky aubergine/eel dish, but everything was fresh and excellent. Couldn't have been happier, thank you!

A delightful meal prepared with finesse. We ordered to share the aubergine with smoked eel, brioche with spicy tuna, razor clams with carrot puree, and black rice with squid. All dishes were excellent, flavours well balanced, with perhaps the razor clams dish needing a bit of zest/acidity. My favourite and recommendation would be the brioche with spicy tuna. Service was impeccable and I loved the olives stuffed with anchovies that started off the meal.

The food was amazing, and the service was great. I had an allergy and the restaurant was extremely nice - they provided a detailed allergen menu and they were very happy to adapt the dishes to meet my allergy requirements! I think they deserve one star Michelin to be honest!!!

I enjoyed a superb meal here as a solo diner. They prepared half portions of some of the smaller dishes so that I could try a variety of things. The highlights for me were the mackerel, black rice, and lemon custard dessert; but everything was good, and the service excellent. Try this restaurant.

Exactly what you dream of in a picturesque stone village in Spain! The space is in a quiet little corner of the old town, the patio space is very ambient. Inside is very cute too! Food was lovely. A bit pricy for Spain but for the experience in Pals I would say was worth it. Definitely a bit higher end. Would totally come back!

A gem in Pals. Stunning building with seating inside and out. We were a group of 8 and had a private side room with air con which was a delight in the hot weather. From the moment we arrived the service was excellent and could not have been made feel more welcome, including the children and providing to their needs. The menu has a great selection of meat and fish and we ordered a variety of food including lamb, sea bass, cannelloni and salads and it was all so fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend El Pedro for a top class meal.

I was totale not sure, if it‘s a good idea to go to the restaurant in a very touristic place. But after burger place we checked before this option looked better anyway. And I have to say all was good. We were lucky to get a table without reservation. They do have a lot of waiters, but this is not that kind of exhausting service when you can not put a spoon to your mouth without been asking if you are satisfied. All waiters were really friendly and super helpful. They did share their opinion honestly and offered you dishes with love. It’s super rare. Food was very good. Side dishes were fresh - not killed vegetables or boring free - grilled variety of everything, asparagus and great baked potato. Unfortunately we had zero space for sweets, but next time we will try it for sure! Strongly recommend to visit. Great service. Brilliant building. Super fair pricing in comparison with other places around. Better to book a table in advance.

The service is very good. Everthing is good except the food. The food is terrible: the grilled food is cold. The vegetables is also cold, stale and not fresh. The vegetables looks like overnight leftover food. The grilled beef has bitter charcoal on the surface but raw inside. The surface is overcooked. The inside is undercooked.

Incredible! We enjoyed an amazing lunch here in October (a great time to visit Pals if you'd prefer the quiet). There is lots to choose from on the menu - I particularly enjoyed the avocado and prawn salad, croquettes and a vermut. Lovely service. The setting is so unique, I recommend sitting outside.

Delightful restaurant in a stunning medieval village setting. We stumbled upon it as we wandered through Pals and enjoyed it so much we returned again. Lovely wine suggestions paired our dinner choices. Parking is just below the old walls and a great walk through the quiet village before dinner.

What a delight this was! We have been traveling in Catalonia for weeks and Antic Casino Restaurant was one of our favorite lunch spots in all of our travels. The menu is simple, and the prices are very reasonable, but the food preparations are extremely thoughtful and sophisticated. More importantly, everything from the gazpacho to the baked fish to the accompaniments on the plate were perfectly done. A lot of the "top rated" restaurants around here can go over the top with complicated, busy plates that are more show than substance. This place is 100% substance. Fresh food prepared well with a smile, and as a bonus, the menu is a value. Recommended!

Highly recommend! Lunch menu (3 course + water, 1 wine and coffee / tea) for just 25 euros. Food quality very good. Just insane value for money. Even the tea was loose leaf served in a cast iron pot, most would charge 5 euros for just that. Great service too. Go here when you're in Pals.

We've been here a number of times, but today was our first visit in 4 years. We had various starters and all ate fish mains. Very decent portions and all tasted great. Service was fast, efficient and friendly; and we love the venue. We anticipated an excellent experience and we weren't let down.

We have been wanting to eat here and finally made it today. It was everything we had expected and more! Excellent food, excellent service and a most enjoyable lunch! I would highly recommend!

Loved everything. We booked a table in advance, and would have been seated inside. The place has some tables right on the curb, with a few cars passing by, so we could easily rearrange to sit there. They have two great terraces. Service was very attentive and the food choices were excellent. We shared Black Paella and garlic prawns as starters, and had the most delicious white wine from Pals (Mas Geli). All in all: highly recommended.

An old family favourite place to go. Have been a lot over the years and I’m glad it hasn’t changed much in that time. Because they do rotisserie chicken and they do it well. Tasty crispy skin, good fries. And I love to have the sangria too.

This was the best chicken I had in my whole life! The Aioli sauce was very very good too. Was sitting indoor in climated area, so view outside was on the near street. But it is okay. Personal is very friendly and helpful.

Best grilled chicken ever! You can eat it there (reserve a table!) or take it home, doesn’t matter, it’s amazing. It’s good to order some starters, because usually the chicken takes about 20 minutes to arrive after you order it. I’m already sad when I think about September, when they close and that I have to wait almost a whole year again for them to open. So my only suggestion: stay open for the whole year maybe just for takeaway 😁

Best place in Catalonia for chicken and chips. This place doesn’t need recommending because it’s always full. It’s amazing. Really good play area for children. Nice bar area. And take out is available.

Pahissa del Mas offers a magical dining experience in a beautifully restored farmhouse surrounded by rice fields; the menu is inventive yet rooted in local tradition, with standout dishes like foie gras, black squid ink pasta, and unforgettable rice creations such as wild boar with foie or duck with pickled vegetables, all perfectly paired with excellent local wines; the service is warm, knowledgeable, and attentive, with the chef often greeting guests personally, making the evening feel both intimate and special; combined with a tranquil terrace setting and exquisite desserts, this restaurant deserves every one of its five stars.

This has been the discovery of the summer … the food amazing but, the people is what makes this place “a must” to visit! Highly recommended ! Suggestions: the Foie and wildporc paella… spectacular !

Greatest service, worst chefs The steak was straight up not edible, looked like they wanted to kill you with food poisoning. On the contrary, the chicken was almost too dry to eat. However, they shine at sea food and I really enjoyed the calamares. The portions were unfortunately too tiny for the price. Didn’t get me full. I am disheartened that it wasn’t good

La Vila is a great choice for enjoying tasty local dishes in a cozy setting. The menu offers traditional recipes with fresh ingredients, and the portions are generous. We had great traditional food here. The salad was fresh, the cheeses exceptional. We were warmly welcomed and had a great lunch here. The cheese platter was spectacular with the cheeses having a very strong and beautifully ripened taste, cannot recommend highly enough. The food is not culinarily exceptional but good local fare that was prepared fast and with great taste.

My friends and I were visiting Pals for a quick stop, and tried this restaurant. Omg, this place is a hidden gem! Black paella is the best with soft squid and not too salty sauce. Sangria is awesome. Seven of us left with full stomach and wasn't too pricey. Definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Pals.

They couldn't seat 7, but found us neighbouring tables for 4 and 3.. and did everything they could to give us some of the most delicious uncomplicated food I have ever tasted, with beautiful wine and dessert to follow. The service was superb in every respect, friendly and full of enthusiasm for the food and the experience. Loved this place. Thank you!!

Great location, great food and more than fair quality - price relation. They use local products and cook all kind of tasty traditional Catalan dishes. The caldereta and entrecot are definitely two outstanding options of a la carte. They also offer a menu rice option for a good price. Portions are big. The service was attentive and all waiters were nice from the very beginning. Important recommendation - book before going there. It gets full quick and you might need to wait if you don’t have a reservation.

It’s true… the building and rooms are very good but the service people need to learn more hospitality… the restaurant is very good, too. The building and rooms deserve five stars definitely, the service (depending on the person) 2-4 stars … some of them don’t seem to get the idea… some of them are good at what they do but need some tuitions still… yeah it’s hard to hear but there are good schools for this. The food is good and the “big living rooms” with coffee machine and magazines and couches are nice. Had two magic moments there. The reflection in the window and the moment with the dove. 🕊️ The pool is rather not worth it.

This was the worst experience we’ve ever had in a hotel/restaurant. My husbands’ parents were guests at the hotel. They arrived in Spain after two days of driving and we would -already in Catalunya - pick them up to go out to diner. We were a bit early, however. After arriving at the gated entrance of the hotel we were, after a weird talk over the intercom, let in. (My husband speaks Spanish fluently, so there was no language barrier.) We were just parking our car when we were - literally! - halted by the receptionist. He then forbade us to enter the hotel (“You are no guest here.”) When my husband explained that his parents were, we were told that it made no difference. We then asked whether there was a bar where we could wait 15 minutes, so that mum and dad - both seniors - wouldn’t need to rush. Again, a harsh no followed. (“Yes, we have a bar. But only for guests.”) He then marched off. In 30 years of coming to the Costa Brava - our second home - and after years of visiting and more than a decade of working in Michelin-starred restaurants and five star hotels, we have never encountered such an enormous lack of hospitality. This was shameful and a disgrace. Needless to say: we, and my parents in law, will never set a foot (again) in Es Portal.

Rice menu 55 euro Nice starters, rice (palella ) was delicious !! Apple desert amazing and I am not a fan of apple:) Location amazing ! Only issue is service, wrong attitude ,it takes time before they smile and antending time to long. People need to feel welcome if not people will not come back even if the food is good .

The room was decently equipped, and spacious. The table service can be alot improved, we couldnt communicate in English about the food so much and they seemingly didn't even want to attempt to try. In general the staff could have been more friendly. The food was OK, I have experienced better in this area. The wine tasting was just one type of wine with three different colour! Overall it was an ok experience. A bit overpriced.

One of the best meals I had during my time in Spain! Be sure to order the tasting menu with the wine pairings. Every dish was perfect and the wine pairings were spot on. I even enjoyed a beetroot dish when I don't normally care for beets and I ate dessert, which I usually skip.

Blown away by the experience at Es Portal. The value for money is impeccable. The staff is the highest quality, the food delicious and the ambience five star, wouldn’t be surprised if Es Portal works their way up to be a Michelin Star restaurant one day! Thank you for a truly lovey experience!

Lovely experience for my mom’s 60s. We chose serval small dishes, a rice dish and some desserts. The quality was evenly good, ingredients were as fresh as it gets. The green salad was one of the highlights. Desserts were delicious too. Price for value is great, considering the quality of the service and ingredients used. The facilities are very nicely decorated, rustic style. Well deserved place in the Michelin guide.

Amazing farm to table dinner with warm and welcoming hosts. We had a tour through their garden and got to know all about their passion for growing their own food. Everything we ate was super delicious and very fresh.

I love this place and it’s the best in the area for Catalan Cuisine. Great wine celler and bar and well thought through. This is a foodie heaven - everything is thought through, the dry aged entrecot, sobrasada etc. all incredible. Worth a visit, try everything on the menu and go to war on the wine list. Great night!

We only went to the restaurant. View from restaurant towards the sea was magnificent. Variety of choices from thr menu from fishes, seafood, paella, salads to meat, pizza. Big food portions ! Chipirones and pulpos was delicious. Pepper pork was yummy.

Terrible food. Worst burger in years and the vegetables on it (or on plates of other guests around us) looked like they already were past expiration date for a week. Definitely would recommend to steer clear of this place or maximum get a drink when you're at the beach.

We both got sick and had to leave during the main course of the Menu para compartir, nothing looked fresh, particularly the shrimp. I threw up in their toilets. Water is not brought in a closed bottle also. We left before the deserts because we could not handle it anymore. The waitress was nice and told the owner but she refused to do any gesture, arguing that were the only ones. Never ever again

Absolutely amazing food with serve & ambience to mach. What they produce in tastes has to be tried to fully appreciate. A great wine list supports the food marvellously.

We visited this restaurant as a group of 15 (7 adults and several kids). Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing from start to finish. First, it took far too long to get our drinks and place our food order. The kids were served first (which is fine), but for the adults, four plates arrived first and the remaining three came 20 minutes later, meaning we couldn’t eat together as a group. The worst part was the barbecue. The meat we received was clearly not in good condition — it had an unpleasant taste and seemed spoiled. We informed the server, who took the food away, but the chef insisted it was fine. This was unacceptable. To make matters worse, the cheesecake we ordered for dessert was completely melted. It was obvious to us that the fridge was not working properly, which would explain both the poor state of the meat and the dessert. Overall, we left with the strong impression that the food safety and service standards at this restaurant are well below acceptable levels. We cannot recommend it.

Great place. The corvina cold appetizer was amazing. The solomillo was ok - they over cooked it but it may have been my Spanish as it is not good yet …. Great venue. Quick (good and bad) service. Ok wine list. Plenty of parking. . Great for kids and I will 100% be back! Thank you ….

A gentle place for lunch, not easy to find because set deep into the woods, but worth the effort. Staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent -- we each had an amazing tomato salad, and then the fish from the market, done on the barbecue, recommended.

The location is truly amazing, but our experience was kind of dissapointing. The food is quite OK. Unfortunately only one of the staff members was approachable and friendly. The others really acted like they didn’t care. No eye contact, not checking in if everything was okay. We commented on this lack of hospitality and the explanation was that one waiter had a bad night and it’s also the end of the season. That is not what hospitality is about; a guest should not experience bad vibes because of personal issues or because the season has almost come to an end.

Amazing food in a beautiful location amongst the trees. All the food is cooked over fire or smoke and you can really taste it. The ribs were delicious, fantastic flavour and the meat fell entirely off the bone. We also had the entrecôte which again had a great charcoal grilled flavour. The sides were also very good including bravas and the provolone. The service was attentive, they spoke Spanish English and French and the food came out in good time. The setting is in the forrest amongst the trees with most tables outside and few inside on a veranda. The way they have used the space gives a unique and relaxed atmosphere that we really enjoyed. The bill came to €76 for 2 people for more food than we could eat and a few drinks, which is great value considering the quality. So overall a genuine 5/5, excellent!

Not for me . I ate here yesterday and didn’t enjoy it. Pretty sure they use sous-vide for everything — the meat had that weirdly soft, almost boiled texture, and lacked any real flavor . Maybe tourists don’t notice, but if you care about how meat should taste, this isn’t the place. Staff were friendly and the location’s nice, but the food just didn’t do it for me.

The first 15 minutes were excellent, but afterwards the difference in service between staff members became noticeable. After our starters, (please try the tartare) the service went downhill. When I asked about it, the explanation given was that one of the staff hadn’t slept well and the whole team was tired from the busy season. In my opinion, that’s not something guests should feel. That said, the food itself was really good. One staff member, Ainhoa, stood out with a personality fit for hospitality and kindness. (Especially towards children.) Make her (floor) manager and have her set the bar for the rest of the team and you’ll be fine.

Most authentic place in Pals. Just ask for a Vermut and a torrada and enjoy your time just observing the history hanging on the walls. A place with no pretensions where you will feel like home.

First impressions were not good, when we arrived it was like entering a bar you see in the movies and the waiter/bartender/owner was very rude, obviously very busy, but definitely not polite to us. After that first impression everything was great the service, the food and the price.

If you ever find yourself wandering the charming streets of Pals, make sure you stop at Grava Pals Cafe & Restaurant – and when you do, ask for Pablo. Seriously. This man is a hospitality legend in the making. We came for pizza, and wow… wood-fired perfection! The dough had just the right crunch-to-chew ratio, and the toppings were both delicious and delightfully original. The menu had pizzas in different price ranges, which was a nice surprise – great for any budget. I ordered a Capricciosa and asked for extra capers. No problem at all – Pablo made sure it happened with a smile. To wash it down, I tried a local craft beer – the Sour – and it was absolutely spot-on. We sat outside under soft string lights with relaxed music playing in the background. The terrace is divided into different cozy areas, each with its own charm, so you can pick your vibe. Admittedly, our arrival was a little bumpy. The hostess was polite, but the welcome felt a bit unclear and not especially warm. Luckily, Pablo swooped in like the customer service superhero he clearly is – friendly, attentive, and genuinely nice. We left happy, full, and slightly regretful that we forgot to order their famous coffee. But hey, that’s the perfect excuse to come back. And we will – hopefully to see Pablo again!

Second time I leave without having ordered. First time I waited for 20 minutes for a coffee that never arrived on a quiet morning. Today we didn’t even get to place our order. I’ve been coming here since they opened and though the place is great, pizzas are good the service is consistently bad. Waiting time when there’s no one around, no one seems to know what their role is and it all seems utterly disorganized. If you’ve got plenty of time and patience place is cool and pizzas are good. I’d love it if they could train staff and manage things better 🙏🏻

Service very bad. Food came up cold and in stages instead of all at once. Drinks came 30 minutes later after the food. We had to ask for drinks 3 times before they arrived. Bar completely out of sync with the kitchen. Would liked to have marked food higher if it had been hot. Staff are all young and seemingly without supervision.

Such a wonderful place to wind down. They really serve the best coffee in town, and the atmosphere is super chill. We made a reservation to have dinner here straight away since the menu looked very promising. I can't wait to have a delicious iced coffee here again, enjoy some chill lounge music, smell the lavender plants, and wind down from another great day here. Ow, and there's a playground for kids strategically placed next door too. ✨

One of the coolest spots in Costa Brava. The garden is unique and the food is great. I would recommend the Paella as they use local Pals rice. The staff is super professional. I took my family here at a busy time and they accommodated all our needs including helping with baby chairs. They have their own parking space at the site. I would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Costa Brava.

Nice atmosphere. First you don't notice it's there, so some people May think it's not there or it's closed. But besides that it's a really great place to relax and enjoy something to eat or drink. The staff is very friendly and the prices are absolutely very reasonable. I would recommend it to everyone who is visiting Pals.

Walking into GRAVA was the cherry on top of the cake. The cake being Pals itself. A charming easygoing medievel town. GRAVA is as charming and easygoing as Pals but with a modern twist. We had a quick lunch with the best coffee i’ve had during this holiday. I enjoyed the chat with very friendly staff. The only downside is… There is none.

The best café/bar/restaurant in Pals. Great food and atmosphere with friendly service and reasonable prices. Daily menu is always good, with generous portions. This is where locals go to eat. As a bonus, there is live music most Saturday lunchtimes.

This fairly large restaurant in beautiful tourist village. We liked it we only had nachos and coffee. Our friends had meal which was very nice too. We only ordered nachos to share no problem with them being two plates to share. Chap serving us was very busy but I noticed he was friendly and polite to the tables around us as well as us, I was amazed how busy he was but gave everyone time. After a long walk on the medieval streets of Pals we make a stop to the restaurant El Mirador. A very nice and quiet place that complete our day. The food was very good and the price also. We was in 2 persons and we have 1st plate, 2nd plate, drinks, water and dessert and the total of the bill 40€. The service also was to our standards. I recommend this place!

Had a lovely lunch here. Part of the Pals Rice Festival. There was some confusion over a starter but this was quickly resolved. It would have been 5 stars but the food was a little pricey, as you would expect for a tourist hotspot to be fair.

Place was well located, cozy and with a nice view if you are sitting on the terrace. Food was great, bit pricey but great portions. Took some time for the staff to finally serve us, but overall great experience.

The food was pretty good, the servers were attentive enough, but the flies! There were swarms of flies that landed on us, the food, it was intolerable. They had rotating fly-scaring devices, but not enough for every table, and most of them were low on batteries, so ran too slowly and were ineffective. It's too bad, because it was a nice location, but the fly swarms were just disgusting. I recommend large fans to make it more difficult for the flies to land, and maybe a fly zapper light? Definitely more of the quitamoscas machines, even though they were fairly ineffective.

We had a very nice time. Yes it is for tourists. But let’s be fair: we áre tourists. They have a very nice and cosy terrace. We had tortilla and fajitas but all the other options looked really good! Best part of the restaurant : Francois! The most adorable waiter who just worked his third day. But the sweetest one. But honestly, all waiters and waitresses were really kind and attentive! Quite surprised at some of the recent reviews, yes they were quick off the mark but when we said we need 5 more mins we were fine. Didn't feel rushed at all, there was a buzzy atmosphere. We had a nut allergy which they happily looked into for us on certain dishes......I thought for the price and the food it was cheap 6 of us ate. Couple of things to note, no individual kids menu and the burger didn't come with a bun which they told us about so we changed what we were having. Is it a fine dining relaxing restaurant no but throughly enjoyable anyway

we were there last Saturday for lunch. we were assigned a table and stayed there until it started to get VERY hot, it being 2:00 PM outside. we asked the waiter several times to turn on a fan for us, having a baby who was only a year old with us. he turned it on for us after we asked him for the 3rd time, then it turned off. we went back for the 4th time to their manager (identified by different clothing and a very "different" spirit, let's say). she told me “ok”, but nothing changed. 20 minutes later, we were there with the same problem. The lady had meanwhile passed by our table and back again, with a hesitant look, she didn't bother to tell us why that air couldn't be opened or even the one behind us. Another ten minutes later, I stood up and respectfully asked her to provide feedback or understanding to her customers next time when they ask something. FEEDBACK is important, right? even if what we ask for cannot be fulfilled for various reasons! she told me that it's just busy and can't handle it. can't you handle coming back and saying if it's possible or not and why not? for a 100€ meal i think it would have been worth it. zero staff and service. i'll leave a picture of my burger

The experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The food was delicious, but the highlight was the service from Gerard. He was an excellent waiter – very kind, attentive, and professional at all times. He made sure we had everything we needed, and his service made the visit even more enjoyable. Touts itself as a pizzeria but the grilled meats far surpass the barely average pizzas. Food in general isn't bad, service is good, and prices are reasonable. You're hardly spoiled for choice in the area so probably worth a visit but don't expect miracles.

Les Dunes Restaurant in Girona, Costa Brava, Spain, offers a fantastic location right on the beach. the food is nearly ok but far from a good paella. i guess, you’ll be happy if you don’t eat Spanish food often, but if you know what it should be like you’ll be quite disappointed. rice floating in broth??? avocado salad with mayo (salsa rosa), shrimps, strawberry and prunes??? clams in tomato paste?? all this for over 40€ per person with home wine. i mean, in Spain you can get this bill for an exquisite food. if the bill was around 30€ i guess i’d be happy with the quality. the service was friendly and the view of the beach fantastic, so i’d say it’s a 3 out of 5.

This place is very chaotic and it’s very hard to get a table. As a vegetarian, the options are very limited. I asked for a vegetarian paella, they said they didn’t have that, I asked for a gazpacho and they said they didn’t have that either. I decided to opt for a tortilla de patata and pan con tomate as I didn’t want to order a salad. The food was very good but the pan con tomate took ages to come. The servers didn’t really try to find other vegetarian options in the menu or outside the menu like many other restaurants do. The rest of my family liked the food a lot, especially the paella even though it took so long to come but they did complain about the bathrooms which were quite dirty.

We visited Tapizzati twice during our stay and were impressed both times! I just had one of the best pizza experiences in a long time! The quality of the pizza here is top-tier. The base was cooked to perfection with that authentic, slightly crispy texture you only get from a proper pizza oven. The toppings were fresh and delicious. I have to give a special mention to the service. We had barely settled in our chairs before our steaming hot pizzas arrived at the table. It's clear their efficient oven plays a big role in this, and it makes a huge difference. Considering the high quality of the food and the excellent, speedy service, the prices are more than fair. It's rare to find a place that scores so highly on all points: taste, speed, and value. I can't recommend it enough!

I came in and everybody was stressed and there was chaos in the atmosphere. We only had to wait 10 minutes for the pizza, so I was pleased with that. But when I wanted to pay, the waiter became a bit pissed and aggressive and clearly didn’t had his day.

Tourist trap in it's best. The place is in a incredible location, it's beautiful and very appealing however, once you sit in the place you notice that the quality of the menu and the service is not matching the price they are asking for. The menu is not updated, they did not have many items in the drink list. The logo mentioned they have the best beef burger. I ordered it and it was half burned. Very disappointed. It's a pity because they could do so much better but it remained as tourist trap.

A historical to visit of the village of Pals. The village center is totally medieval. It is amazing how they rebuild everything after the 14 century village was destroyed after Spanish Civil War. A great place to submerge into the 14. Century. Totally recommended

I approached them to ask if I can buy water. The owner came , and told me in an extremely unfriendly way “in the shop” in Spanish, and was shooing me away. I was a bit taken away, said ok, that was a bit rude, and was leaving. He yelled after me that I am stupid - so i turned back, and asked sorry what? I was actually quite calm but surprised. He came super close to me and started yelling how i dare speak to him like this in his house, and that i am stupid. I told him i just wanted water as it is very hot. Anyways he continued to yell at me. I am not surprised by the many similar experiences. He also doesn’t have yo change because he is literally the only bar in the area. Anyways i would rather dry out than go back there.

Today my dad visited the town, got closer to see the menu, and immediately someone who said he was the owner came out and almost pushed him away saying that people like him cannot be there. My dad is a quiet middle age man from Italy, on a holiday with my mom. Regardless, there is no excuse to treat ANYONE like this, and seeing the poor reviews of this place, I am not surprised. The atmosphere and location are really nice and cozy. The food, however, was just okay—nothing special, and in some cases even bland. We ordered a poke bowl from the recommended menu, but it didn’t have any salt or sauces. The beef tongue also had no spices or standout flavor. Maybe we were just unlucky with the chef that day, but honestly, we wouldn’t come back for the food.

Delicious meal in a lovely restaurant, peeking out from a grove of trees. The poke bowl was especially delicious. For a unique touch, they brought a sizzling hot pan so that you can heat up the second half of your large entrecôte - useful and fun! Highly recommend.

Real shame, waitress was lovely, good position, starters average patatas bravas good, main course fish served cold. salmon part raw so inedible and chicken and chips after waiting over an hour was served raw. It was a lovely surprise to find this restaurant in Pals. My wife and I were having a walk by the beach when the beautifulness of this restaurant made us approach it to have a look at the menu and we just fell in love with the looks of the food. We come here every year, at least once or twice, when on our holidays. We are not really chicken and chips people normally, but this place is out of this world for good, old-fashioned comfort food and never disappoints. They don’t do many things on the menu, but they do them all so very well. Very well priced, supremely moreish chips, beautifully spiced chicken and the Alioli is mentally good. (Beware, punchy, but if you like garlic, do not miss it). Please open a branch in London😀

The restaurant is the entire building so lot of rooms and a huge patio. Is a mixed review for me. The food was simple but tasty, good pizza with thin crust and not too much cheese on it, salad was good and fresh. Overall was quite good but wasted by a very very bad waitress, I won't go into details because this place doesn't deserve it. Please mister owner choose wisely your staff it is not good for your business.

The owner is extremely rude and disrespectful and the food is not good. Last time we visited we booked a table and when we arrived at the restaurant the owner asked us to wear the face mask. We walked back to the car (1 minute away) and when we arrived back at the restaurant they kicked us out saying that it was closed to us. This is the way you lose customers. Arrived for a 2pm lunch for 6 adults and 3 children sitting in the garden outside which was very pleasant. The lunch menu was expensive so we skipped starters choosing just mains and drinks. The service was incredibly slow in taking our orders which wasn't too much of a problem as we weren't in a hurry and the situation was very pleasant. But the service continued to get worse, necessitating us to constantly go inside to order drinks. When we did get table service the waiting staff appeared as though they preferred to be elsewhere. Drinks didn't arrive, so again after a long wait we went inside to order. Such a shame

Worst service! Avoid! We entered the place - the lady at the bar looked at us, so she clearly saw us but paid no attention and not even a hello!!! And continued writing something in her book. We stood at least 2 minutes right in front of her. But the 'queen' was too busy with her records so no attention to us. Finally another lady came and took us to the table, giving us one menu for a group of 4 people. And then we waited and waited seeing how 'superbusy' waiters are floating around. After not being paid attention to order at least water and drinks for 12(!) min, we just left. This place clearly shows not only the ignorance and rudeness and non professionalism of the service staff (yet they are champions so far!) but this is a clear message of the owners that the clients are considered as junk. IGNORE AND AVOID! and let the others know.

We came following a 4* by Google and it is not worth of it. Small plates for the price of them. The man who translated the menu for us was really kind and useful, but the woman who got the food was no so kind. She brought us an uncorrect plate, confusing it with another table, and the solution was just giving us an ingredient which was no in the plate. No recomendable. High price for low quality and quantity.

I'd like to say that we went here as a last option. If the food is not of the best quality and there is a lack of staff, meaning they do not spend money on their salaries, why is the menu so expensive? I don't even want to start about how the quality and service gets worse and worse.

Quality of food great especially the meat and pizza’s. Place is crowded with Dutch people so keep this in mind, they tend to act like they “own” the place. Some quest are smoking by the table, extremely rude and gross for others. They should make a policy against this. Judging on the ashtrays on the tables it’s still common practice in Spain unfortunately.

The food was good, although we asked to change the sauce that came with the steak because we didn’t like it. The place is very nice, on a hot day you are still sitting in a chilled place. Talking about sitting, I found it a pity that they would offer plastic chairs without any type of cushion as in summer it’s not ideal as it would just be sticky and sweaty. But the food and location is good and the relation quality/price too.

Great place to eat. Great atmosphere and food itself. You can not make reservation but that is no problem. Once you arrive you can ask for a table and if they do not have a table you can sit at the bar to have a drink. You will not have to wait long before you get a table which is great. There was a large variety in meals and all for a great price. However the staff would constantly walk around you to see if you finished already which was less. But overall it was good.

We've been coming to Catalonia for a couple of years now, but we've only discovered "Braai" recently. In short, we're committed to coming back here. The service is fantastic. The people are really friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable. We had our children with us and they made them feel welcome. The food is the best food we've had for that price in the area. Amazing cocktails and the deserts where a sight to behold. And the atmosphere makes you feel like you belong. Like being at a BBQ in the evening with friends. As a family, we've found our place that we will go to and eat when we're here, no doubt. Top marks.

We had a super "dinner" with delicous food. Tapas and Burger highly recommended. Price was fine as well. We would defently come again. The stuff speak several languages and the menue is also available in 4 languages, including German.

Lovely club house old traditional feel with an excellent menu. Golfers menu 15.50 a main and a desert. I had slow coked pork and mushrooms delicious even though it was a big portion I finished the list. My husband had rib eye steak cooked properly. Deserts were different I had pineapple canaloni with cottage cheese and my husband had apple soup with floating ice cream which he said was very refreshing. Plenty of choice on the A la carte menu including special rice menu we will be back as there are a few things I want to try.

Its tapas menu makes it perfect to share and try different things. I highly recommend the cauliflower, surprisingly good in its simplicity, and the lamb: probably my favourite dish of the year. Very balanced flavours in all the dishes. A reservation is recommended. Great job guys.

An excellent first experience and meal last night at M2 Gluten Free! I really didn’t know what to expect as the menu was so eclectic. The falafel was delicious and the veg pad Thai with egg, was superb! 👌🏽🌟 The quality of the ingredients and eating gluten free meant none of the typical bloating that one gets after eating out. The service was attentive, efficient and very courteous. A 10/10 from me. 💯

This place was absolutely amazing and I fell completely in love with it! From the moment I got in the staff took care of me. My pizza was out of this world. The pasta was light and airy and flavorful. The tomato bread was phenomenal. This is a must have for anyone looking for gluten free food options in Barcelona. The staff was great as well.

I was so happy to find a gluten free restaurant with such a varied menu in Barcelona. We had the carbonara and the mushroom gnocchi, which were both delicious. There was also a range of beers (all gluten free, of course) - I had an IPA which was lovely. The service was excellent and our waitress was lovely and super friendly. None of the food was overly salty either like some of the reviews commented.

Good for celiacs or those who want to cut down the intake of gluten. Nice ambiance but to be honest, a bit pricy.. The food was fresh but I would say the taste is just average. The pizza was average, maybe lacks a bit of moe sweet taste of honey. The burger was very fresh but maybe too simple. We didn't order an appetizer but we were full after finishing our meal and this feeling lasted very long. Waiters were very kind and attentive. We were a bit shocked that a half-liter of water was almost 4 euros...😅 Personally, not bad but I don't really see merit for me going back here..

I was so exited to find a restaurant that is entirely gluten free! But what a disappointment… I got the plantain chips with guacamole. Both had zero salt in them, which is tasteless but at least people can just add the amount they want. Next I ordered the pad thai with beef. There were four little slices of beef, that were so over cooked that they were inedible. In addition, the flavor was completely off - so salty I couldn’t eat it. I told one of the waiters and he offered to bring me some teriyaki to balance it out. I was fine with that because I don’t like to return dishes. I tried the teriyaki before adding it, and it had nothing to do with actual teriyaki sauce - it was as salty as could be, and in addition was sour and not sweet. So I had no choice but to call another waiter and return the dish. I then ordered a salmon poke bowl instead, verifying with the waitress that it won’t be salty as it said that the salmon is in a soy marinade. The poke was edible, but not much more than that. The salmon was indeed extremely salty, while the rest was fairly tasteless. After mixing it well, the bites with the salmon were still too salty for me (but I will say that I am sensitive to salty food), and the rest was just edible. Out of all the restaurants I’ve eaten in in Barcelona so far, this was my least favorite :( I will definitely not come back :( Silver lining: coffee was really good :)

Amazing 100% gluten free Resturant! We ate inside METRIC next door, and we could order off either of M2’s entirely gluten free menu or METRIC’s menu which had gluten containing and some gluten free options. The menus also had all other allergens really clearly labelled. I had the Black Angus Burger, and then returned a few days later to also try out one of the pasta dishes. Decent prices given how tasty the food is. The menus were also available in English. Worth noting that all soft drinks seem to be diet versions, but if you order a coffee you might just end up with a little bear on it!

Top-notch assortment of excellent meats. Perfect for fueling your weekend BBQ. Super nice folks behind the counter too.
