Very nice hotel on Lake Como. The room was clean and relatively spacious, with wonderful floors and captivating decor. The restaurant had a delicious gluten-free pizza (and regular pizza too!), as well as several other dishes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the location was perfect for a short vacation to explore the surroundings -there are several restaurants and small shops nearby, with the ferry station just a short walk (five minutes) away. Definitely recommended!

I dined at the restaurant and let me tell you- I really wanted to like this place. The pizza was great. Wine was good. Service? Terrible!!! Read their snarky replies to all the other bad reviews on here and that should give you a hint. We ordered a pizza and a carafe of wine and the server literally said “that’s all?”. Like I’m sorry I’m vegan and this is all you have for me. Take an extra hundy and stop bothering me? The manager came in when we still had wine in our glasses and were rushing to finish because we could see that we were being rushed out and basically kicked us out- again telling us “I need the table” in the meanest tone possible. If it was the bill, increase the prices. I do not mind paying 200,300,500. I do not care. What I DO NOT like is being embarrassed with my company on my honeymoon. That- I do not like. Left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Ruined our final evening in como. Waiting for the snarky reply to this comment too :)

The room was fine but great considering the prices and the prices of the nearby hotels. We received a room towards the street, which unfortunately is very loud due to all the motorcycled passing by at high speed. Earplugs were available at the room as a compensation. The staff were friendly but not in the best of moods.

We stopped for lunch along our bike ride and they were very accommodating. Pizza was delicious and the service was great. Lots of great art as well.

We are regular customers due to the Tesla supercharger for 8 years and this has been a nice stop for us up to about a year ago when birds started to become regulars in the restaurant too. Flying from table to table eating your food and the staff doesn’t care. It’s not only uncomfortable it’s also a hygienic issue that needs to be looked into. Aside of that the restaurant/bar has an incredible potential based on the location. Just in case you wonder: I write this review after my fourth bird stop in the last 5 month.

We had a nice lunch at the Grande Fratello, while recharging our Tesla. The pizza was great, they had a nice menu for kids and the service was very good.

A few times a year I have a short stop at this location to charge my car. Always a nice place to enjoy a coffee and some 🍰😂 Friendly staff and good service.

We have been traveling across Europe for about 3 weeks on a family vacation entailing various countries and enjoying and appreciating all local foods and this is by far the worst meal. My husband and I are foodies and open to all local foods, yet we are not picky. Our plates were BOTH so bad we send them back. My husband’s plate was untouched, yet when the bill came the charges were in the bill. We did not want to make a big fuss, so we just paid in full, but asked out of curiosity and the waitress told us the chef said there was nothing wrong with them (to his thinking only, disregarding the customers he’s cooking for). Amazing to see that this type of restaurant would lack the bare minimum service and a chef without the slightest culinary notion, and without the slightest clue when it comes to Customer Service. It’s what the customer likes, not what “he thinks is right”. The food was tasteless, lacking presentation and simply BAD. We were not expecting an ocean fish flavor —no expectations, but a good meal, which was not delivered. It’s not only about the food, but mostly about the lack of customer service. This literally triggered us to cook a family meal in the great flat we rented by the lake, we figured it would be more fun to cook on vacation than to eat his food again. I had a lovely stay at the Hotel Riviera. I was on my way home to Bavaria from Milan Airport and it was so hot! I searched for a hotel with pool and air con. While the pool at this small family-owned hotel is tiny, the lake more than compensated. I loved going for a swim in the beautiful clear and warm water. I enjoyed breakfast on the terrace directly on the lake. Room was very comfortable and worth the extra amount for lakeside with gorgeous view. Really nice staff / owners, definitely will be back.

Wonderful hideaway directly at the lake, perfect views, good food and welcoming service. Beachplatform and swimming pool will make the experience simply a dream. Postbus station near by to take a ride to beautiful Morcote and Lugano. We will certainly come back.

The sunbathing and swimming platform is awesome - best in Melide! Parking next to hotel is free, but limited to one hour on weekdays. With a note from the hotel you can use a car park a couple of hundred meters away.

The choice was totally worth, the room was very clean, the toilet has been fully renovated and the towels were also brand new. The room had TV, minibar (only with water but was totally fine), and the internet connection worked very well. We visited the hotel in autumn so the pool wasn’t open (it’s outdoor pool) yet we enjoyed very much the amazing view from the restaurant. We loved the service of all the staff… people in the restaurant are super kind, same with cleaning staff and reception. The lovely lady of the restaurant pampered us with coffee to bring to the room so we could enjoy the sunny day in the terrace. The hotel has plenty of options for parking, you can pay it (5 or 10CHF/night) depending on availability of the different places or even you can park for free few blocks far from the hotel. We would definitely stay again in Riviera Hotel!
