Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Lake Wales

Met some of our oldest friends here second time in 5 years. This place was as much fun as it was then. Food was excellent my fried shrimp was spot on and my fries were great. There was a couple other platters as well a burger and a shrimp special. Mostly sweet tea but the slice of key lime at the end of the meal was truly a treat. I plan to come back here again hopefully sooner than later. Parking was in a dirt lot. Some construction going on I'm sure it's all being improved. Worth the effort to visit.

We sat down on our way to Miami because my wife wanted some fish. She saw the reviews and particularly the Key Lime pie one. The restaurant is a bit old and smells like it but it feels like you are near the ocean or in an old ship. Pretty good magic there. Let's go from there: the KL is very sweet, too much fat on the crust and not much lime flavor. I asked the waitress for a quarter of lime and as soon as I squished on it, everything got better. I like my KL with Lime flavor and a spike sour. The shrimp scampi was plain and soaked on butter but the shrimp had shrimp flavor. They really could have improved it by seasoning the butter with some garlic, lightly fried the shrimp and then tossed the linguine on it. The fish was a bit dry and could use some sauce to balance it. The salad on the other hand was moist and crunchy. Could have accompanied the dishes instead of coming first by itself. I ate 3 of them since no one wanted them. The steak was delicious and cooked to perfection, crispy crust, perfectly seasoned. I could also have drip some lime but didn't have it then. One thing that could have been perfect was the sweet fries. It was crispy but there was no need to add sugar. It overpowers the natural sweetness of the potato. No need. And unfortunately for me, I forgot my umbrella. :(

Was looking for a chilled out place to have beer and good food, and this hit the mark! Our server was Cody - very polite, attentive and quick with the beers (always a bonus!). Tried out a selection of dishes and each was really tasty and served hot. The coconut shrimp is quite sweet, not sure what the white dip was but went well with them. The conch fritters were superb! Hot, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The sauce for these carries heat but is confusingly more-ish - loved it! After feasting on the apps, had room for sandwiches - the Mahi Mahi sandwich was really tasty. It had good flavor from being blackened but could have been a tad crisper to really excel. The crab cake sandwich was fantastic and would recommend to try them as an appetizer for sure! Fries are crispy and well seasoned. My only real letdown was the coleslaw - tasted a bit like yogurt was in the sauce and would have preferred more mayonnaise (or just mayo in general, lol) to make it creamy and have more oomph like a homemade coleslaw. Will definitely return to sample some more offerings and support this gem of a restaurant!

Yes, the food is Great..I am a frog legs fan..did not disappoint..the fried clam tender...the conch fritter awesome. Service was quick and accurate. Cook said hi on the way in. I will be back!!

Checking out some citrus groves on lake Wales and decided to try this place. Super cute old Fl cracker building, not fancy, but great seafood! The clam strip appetizer was amazing.. lightly breaded nothing chewy going on here, fresh and tender! I had the grouper basket with broccoli instead of fries. Huge piece of fish and huge serving of broccoli! Great hush puppies too, and cold beer. Check them out if you’re in the area .

The Good: The atmosphere was nicely themed and the temperature in the restaurant was just right. The hostess and wait staff were over the top fantastic! They moved chairs around for my family and made us very comfortable. Our waitress was very attentive. The clam chowder, clam strips, sweet potato fries, crab cakes, and calamari were very good. I would return for just those items. The NOT so good: Shrimp and scallop breading tastes good, but the items were cooked too long (hard and chewy). Fried spinach is offered as a side. It looks good, but the taste does not match. I thought it would be similar to Kale chips (not at all). They just drop fresh spinach into the fryer and all you taste is the grease. The fried green tomatoes tasted great, but were as thin as paper (I think the dipping sauce was too sweet). The gumbo has potential, but lacks seasonings. Construction in the area makes it challenging to find the place. Overall, I would return for just the items I listed earlier, but I was really hoping for great shrimp and scallops.

So glad we’ve found this place! Their Cajun pasta and blackjack burger, amazing! Delicious house dressing, hush puppies, garlic bread and coleslaw. Their garlic habanero hot sauce was so good, we had to bring one home! Fun decorations, lively restaurant, friendly staff, fast service, very busy but worth the wait!

Wow ! .. "Manny" my guy, you're back there cooking up those steaks with love ! ... No but seriously the steak here are amazing, I had a Ribeye of course and my beautiful woman had the 6oz Filet Mignon. Delicious steaks and great prices. We left there with only a $60 bill which allowed me to tip generously to the waiter, who was also great and went by the name Laney... shout out to Laney. Service was kind and happy. It was a packed Thursday night (Night before Valentiens day) and we had about a 10-15 minute wait for a seat. The food took about 30 minutes to arrive. Onion rings and fries were top notch, salad was your typical restaurant salad nothing special, and the rolls were comparable to Texas Roadhouse. Only negative that kept me away from a 5 star rating was the restrooms. Both men's and women's were in rough conditions. The women's stall barely had enough room for you to do a 360 spin. Other than that the family owned ambiance was relaxing and unique and the food was out of this world, must give it a shot, I know we will be back!

So I’m usually not one to write bad reviews nor right reviews in general, but I felt like something had to be said first off I tried to order online, but it did not give me the option to pay in cash I ordered $80 worth of food to go. Today was very rainy and I’ve been working really did not have the time to cook. I ordered chicken fajitas which the chicken was dry and it only came with a heaping pile of half raw onions and the other half look like they were reused no peppers and no onions? My toppings for the fajitas came all smooshed together wrapped up in a piece of foil. The Caesar salad that I paid $12 for I can’t even eat because the dressing taste like someone put fish inside of it and I also got loaded fries and the cheese was so hard that I couldn’t even pull the fries apart I have not been to Manny chophouse in years and sad to say I’ll probably never go back after this experience the best thing about the whole meal was the sweet tea. I haven’t even had a chance to taste the brownie. I don’t know maybe it’s better if you go in and sit down, but I was deeply disappointed today I expected more.

Great and very attentive service! Excellent food! Pretty busy, but called half an hour ahead and got put on the wait list, which worked out perfectly. Everything was on point!

We always drive by this place and finally had a chance to stop. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best experience. Toughest T-bone I’ve had. Ribs were dry & overcooked. Garlic Mashed Potatoes were yummy but crusty from being under a heat lamp. The dinner rolls were the best dish but the honey cinnamon butter was discolored from sitting out. For the price I expected more from the food.

We had to leave the ranch where we were staying and look for a nearby restaurant and we found this restaurant with a 50's theme, fast and friendly service and good food.

Went back here for the first time in 8 years. Can honestly say the whole experience was fantastic start to finish. We were served by David who did a spectacular job. We had 1 starter 2 steaks and sides and all were the highest quality. Cannot recommend enough. I've spent 2 weeks in Orlando and this was the best dining experience I've had for such an incredibly affordable price.

Well, we got seated right away, but it took our waitress about 10 minutes to get to our table. The service was really slow. It wasn't too busy. The table beside us a of about 8 people got seated after us and had their food long before us.. I had to ask where my soup was , the waitress forgot about it. We finally got our food about 45 minutes after we were seated. We ordered the chicken fajitas, and it looked good, but the chicken was very dry. On a good note, the sweet tea was right on point . Our waitress was polite and cheerful, but I think she was overwhelmed.

A great family diner serving breakfast, lunch and (recently) dinner. We went on a Sunday morning and we're lucky we got there when we did because there was a wait shortly after, and a ton of people waiting by the time we left. Service was fantastic, and our food came our very quickly once we ordered. Everything was cooked perfectly. I got the corned beef breakfast with eggs, hash browns and a biscuit, and my boyfriend had the stuffed French Toast with blueberries. Portions were large, and prices were reasonable.

Great spot for breakfast or dinner. Nice local vibes. We’ve driven by so many times on the way to gigs south that we’ve never stopped. We had a show in Lake Wales at the Sugar Barn and spent the night in town. So glad we finally ate here. Cierra was very attentive and friendly. I had the Shrimp & Grits (I got it without bacon). I really enjoyed my meal. We’ll keep that in our rotation of breakfast places.

8/10/2025 We have been here a couple times for breakfast and it has always been good as was this time. There was just a couple things that were off this visit. First, I asked to substitute bacon for sausage in my omelette and they charged me $1.50 on our bill. If I had known that, I would not have substituted. Second, I asked for no cheese and there was cheese in the omelette. I noticed the waitress forgot to put it on the ticket. I understand they were busy so I didn’t say anything. I just scraped it out because I didn’t want to waste the food. If you like biscuits and gravy, you will be happy with the sausage gravy! It has chunks of sausage in it and good flavor. This is where the locals eat. Waitresses are friendly, food is hot, good portions. Will go back.

This is a great place to start your day. It's a very nice family diner. They have all of the breakfast classics and daily specials. Our service was very friendly. They were extremely busy, and our waitress still provided great service. The food arrived in a timely fashion, and everything tasted great.

Diner-style restaurant with plenty of seating & parking. Easy in & out on the main thoroughfare. Food was very good, menu had many options & servings were generous. I had the Texas Club & my husband had the Cuban, soup was complimentary. We were passing through on our way from east coast to west coast & would definitely stop again when in the area. It did look like a local favorite.

Lake Wales Family Restaurant – Disappointing from Start to Finish The food had absolutely no flavor—bland to the point of being forgettable. My wife’s smothered potatoes arrived with a hair in them, which was revolting. Her fork was visibly stained, raising serious questions about cleanliness. My biscuits and gravy had no flavor at all—just a mushy, tasteless mess. To top it off, I had to get up and look for my waitress just to pay the bill. Service was indifferent, and the atmosphere felt more like a waiting room than a welcoming dining space. If you’re looking for quality, flavor, or basic hygiene, this is not the place. We won’t be returning.

First visit ever to Bob Evans, like the sausage. It was late morning, so it was still a good breakfast time. It gave me that old countrytime feeling when Inwalked in. Not terribly busy. I got seated almost immediately, the server came over, older lady, looked tired with a touch of cranky pain face. She was pleasant enough, took my order and went on her way. My food came out at a very quick time. I ordered as they have it on their men the "new" Steak tips and eggs, yes similar to the pancake place menu. The difference is pancake place marinate the steak in a sweeter sauce, Bob Evans give you straight steak. Personally I like the straight steak better. It could use a better seasoning but good with steak sauce... I like sauce. Food was average basically what you would expect of a chain breakfast diner. If you are hungry and need to stop, I dont see a reason not to. The orange juice in the Mason jar was cute.

Stopped by Bob Evans and had the best pot roast sandwich of my life—seriously, it was that good. The only downsides were the bathroom, which stank, and the service, which was a bit slow for how quiet it was, though our server was great when she was helping. My son’s cheeseburger came out more rare than I’d like for a kid’s meal, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Oh, and bring a jacket—it was freezing in there!

We had a great server, very friendly and accommodating. He MIGHT have been new, from the tiny mistakes, but his personality shined. The food was ok, and the banana bread was AMAZING! The only complaints are the dirty bathrooms and the dirty table that sat there dirty during our entire meal. If you train the servers about pre-bussing and FULL hands in and FILL hands out, the dining room would SPARKLE! Teamwork makes everything easier for everyone!

Ate there last night for the vary first time. The food was great but the cook does need to pay a little more attention to the grill. One side was a little burnt. The staff was really slow on greeting us and we'll, seem to be not trained properly. Our waitress was great and stayed on top of everything. I will suggest not ordering the new Bacon side dish. It's NOTHING like the picture as seen in the pictures I have posted. For the most part we would eat at this chain again but just maybe not this one.

I can't say much about food, we were never attended to. We waited about 20mins and never put an ordered in, just drinks. A lot of people were arriving and got their orders in. We did let the manager know and she was very kind and apologetic about it, which i appreciate but wouldn't go back. I feel bad about leaving this review but this js what happened to my husband and I.

We ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of home fries. We didn't have enough potatoes for 3 bites. Had to ask for another side of potatoes so we had enough to eat. The gravy was ok but we ordered bowls and we didn't get anymore gravy than if we would have just went with the cup. So sad, we love the restaurant but probably will not return to this place. Was pretty upset with our meal.

IHOP’s chicken and waffles are consistently tasty and served hot. I’ve visited alone or with others, and the experience never disappoints. I highly recommend this location and will continue returning. My hope is for this restaurant to be recognized for its excellent service and food quality, not for individual praise.

We went to the IHOP in Lake Wales. Very friendly polite and patient. Our servers name was Sabrina, she was very accommodating and went above and beyond our expectations. The food was great and she provided all that was needed without hesitation. All around great service, great environment, 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND... Way better than the one on Cypress gardens

So after a tuesday night of debauchery, I awoke Wednesday to an ungodly need for some maple covered sustenance. I then decided to saunter on into this IHOP. I entirely underestimated this place due to previous experiences at other locations. My table was meticulously clean, stocked and well presented for having been during a rush. But that's not why we're here. My server Amanda was the most attentive breakfast slinger I have ever had the pleasure to be served by! Sweet, kind and very good at her job. With a warm smile and ready for me. She had coffee at the ready and a bandolier full of essentials, straws, creamer etc. My drink was never more than half empty, my food was the freshest I've EVER had at IHOP, due to her unwavering attentiveness, and hustle. I now have renewed faith in this chain because of her and her alone. Thanks Amanda, you deserve a raise and we need more servers like you. Always tip your waitress!! Especially if it's her.

Every time I ate here I’ve been disappointed. I dont know who the cook is but they need to find a new one, my pancakes were really good but I had ordered the 5 chicken strip plate and it only came with 4 strips.. I bit into it and the chicken didn’t even break but came off the breading and the broccoli I got as a side only came with 5-6 pieces I then asked for it to be changed for chocolate chip pancakes after waiting for 10ish minutes to be noticed then I had to wait another 30 to get my pancakes.. anyway the worst $45 I have ever spent. 0/10 do not recommend and will be cooking from now on

Was in on Wednesday when visiting from out of town and I highly recommend! We had Amanda and she gave us excellent service going above and beyond for my daughters birthday! I had the burger and she did pancakes which everything was amazing. Restaurant clean and everything was perfect!

I walked into IHOP and was sat pretty quickly and greeted by Sabrina. She has such a bright smile. She went above and beyond To make sure I always had everything that I needed. She checked in regularly, which that is a definite brownie point on my end! She was just absolutely outstanding!!! I’ve been in the customer service business for over six years and you can really tell that she loves what she does. She’s such a bright light! If I were her boss, I would definitely be paying her more. Everyone else here is so dull compared to her. A+ to the max!!!

This place is amazing I went in yesterday for breakfast and had a phenomenal omelette at a fair price and my server Crystal was awesome she paid attention to the detail of my order and her overall service was very welcoming along with the atmosphere. Their restrooms were clean and smelled good. I will definitely be returning and referring my friends and family

Everyone was really kind and explained all the sandwiches they had and the potatoe salad and macaroni salad that was from Yoders a Amish place. My sandwich was good I did think they would have like different breads and a few more items to sell but it is nice and was good I will return. Was hard to find i drove bye it the first time. I was looking for a sign or flag flying saying were open but I found it and the owners Grace and Tim were there and very kind. My sandwich had a good portion of meat and was worth the cost Thank u.

My husband and I had lunch here and are now obsessed. The food is made with good ingredients and it shows. We can’t get enough of the seafood salad! So delicious.

I called and spoke to Tim I explained I was looking for parmesan cheese wheel that I need with a few days. He returned my call and was able to help and had it ready in 2 days! When I picked up the wheel I decided to try the BLT it was delicious and also featured pickle, a few grapes and a chocolate. Thank you Tim!

The food is always amazing! Best sandwich’s in Central Florida! Cooper Cheese is yummy! Friendly service! Parking lot could have less holes, but the food is worth braving the potholes!

The food was absolutely delicious, A very welcoming atmosphere, and we were greeted with smiles. We decided to dine in and every now and then they were checking on us ,making sure that we were enjoying everything. I definitely will be coming back. It’s been a while since I’ve been an environment that is so friendly and you feel in a way at home

Had the Cuban Wrap and the Roast Beef Sandwich. It was excellent. Also ordered the macaroni salad and potato salad. Absolutely the best sandwiches we've ever had. Friendly people.

Ordered for three and we shared each other's choices to get different tastes. We had an Italian, Cuban and a Philly cheese steak, they were all delish! It was hard to pick a favorite, but I think the Italian was the winner. We will be back when in the area.

The wife and I are always looking for new Thai restaurants,throw in Lao food and you have a winning quinella. Super friendly owner. Food is wonderful. Started with the Tom Kah Kai soup. Fragrant coconut broth with lemongrass. Loaded with chicken and mushrooms. The summer rolls were fresh and packed with herbs and rice noodles,served with peanut sauce. The wife opted for the Massaman chicken. Fresh and hot off the stove,lots of chicken,potatoes and carrots in a flavorful broth. I went for the Kua Mee Lao. Stir fried noodles in a caramelized sauce topped with shredded egg,bean sprouts, cilantro, and scallions. Both dishes were outstanding and sharable portions. We ordered the mango purple sticky rice with coconut cream to go. It's probably a good thing. When we got home and opened it, there awaited a huge portion of some of the absolute BEST sticky rice with mango that either of us has tasted. This wa s the crowning glory to a wonderful meal. If you like Thai give this gem a try.

I wasn't sure what to order but the menu had detailed descriptions that were helpful. We tried 2 entrees and 2 appetizers and all were delicious. I included a pic of my entree but I can't remember what it's called. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet.

I ordered the fried dumplings, crab rangoons, beet juice, and mango with coconut sticky rice for dessert, and every single dish was fresh and delicious. The dumplings and rangoons were perfectly crisp, the beet juice was refreshing and unique, and the mango sticky rice was the perfect sweet finish. The whole experience reminded me of eating at home—comforting, peaceful, and satisfying. I truly enjoyed my first visit here and can’t wait to come back and try something new.

WOW, this place is a total gem. Truly authentic. Exceptional service and such friendly service! Everything tasted amazing too. Always start with the summer rolls, got vegetable. The red curry with chicken, Basil fried rice with beef, and the Kua Mee Lao with chicken. Summer rolls were great, fresh and cut into equal sizes. Peanut sauce was top notch. Much tastier and great consistency. Red curry was delicious. Slightly spicy, but full of flavor. Vegetables were so fresh! Rice was nice and fluffy too. Basil fried rice was so good. The beef added a ton of flavor. Rice was perfectly cooked nothing too over powering, the Basil balanced everything out well. Kua Mee Lao also tasty! Similar to the pad thai but slightly more soy/sweet. It was as creamy as the pad thai either but it's just as good I think. The place is nice and clean with a plenty of seating as well!

This has quickly become one of my favorite spots. Food and service is always great whether dining in or grabbing to go. I've tried a few dishes and I have enjoyed every one but the Pad Ka Pao Phet (Holy Basil Duck) is definitely my favorite.

Visited on a Thursday afternoon after exploring Bok Tower and Gardens. The restaurant is small and had just one server during our visit, who was kind, attentive, and friendly. We began with a beef dish that my husband adored, followed by the red curry vegetarian, which I found very flavorful and well-spiced. My husband enjoyed a duck dish, and we also tried the basil fried rice, which was the highlight of the meal. I had it with tofu, and it was both flavorful and delicious. For dessert, I had the mango sticky rice, which was excellent. Overall, it's a fantastic place for a taste of Thailand, and I recommend it.

We are snowbirds and came across this gem of a restaurant while we were out and about . We were greeted by a wonderful woman, who always has a smile on her face and her name is Ting . We’ve been there four times now and everything we have had has been simply delicious. The attention to detail is amazing the crab Rangoon, were the best I’ve ever had !! The soup is so flavorful and delicious. The salads are amazing. The spring rolls are fantastic. Everything we’ve had has been superb. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody !! The staff is super super friendly, great service and such a gem of a restaurant, I would give it all the stars allowed . !!! AAAAAA plus!!!!

The staff was pleasant upon arrival and the place is clean and attractive. When I got into the room, we found out that the TV did not work, many power outlets did not work, and when I tried to call the front desk to let them know, the phone did not work. I had already unpacked and did not want to take everything to another room, so we stayed. However, when I mentioned this to the attendant when we checked out, there was a definate lack of concern or offer to make it right somehow. Just the typical smile and thanks for coming. Probably will choose the hotel down the street next time I stay in the area. On a side note, the breakfast was good.

Best service ever. There were two small issues with the bathroom (hairdryer and shower curtain rod slanted so curtain didn't close). Front desk fixed those immediately and even offered another room (which was not necessary since they were so accomodating).

We stayed at this hotel for one night after a long day at Disney we didn’t feel like driving all the way to the place we stayed at in Ft. Myers. The front desk attendant was very nice. The room was huge with 2 beds. Breakfast was good and there was a pool but we didn’t have time to use it. I’d definitely stay there again if I have to.

I would say it is an awesome place to stay. The room was great and clean, and so was the outside of the hotel, lobby, and dining area, Rufina was an awesome hostess. The breakfast was really good. Everything was nicely place and hot.

Danielle has been the most helpful in assisting me book a reservation for a wedding block of rooms at the Hampton Inn in Lake Wales, FL. She's been patient and accommodating over the phone and I am really looking forward to my family staying at this hotel for my wedding weekend. Thank you!

I travel a lot and stay in plenty of hotel rooms. The bed at this place is absolutely terrible and you can’t get a good nights sleep and you wake up with your back hurting all. I felt the springs in my back. I said something to the lady there and all she said was I’m sorry. I hope you have a good night. They do have a hot breakfast in the mornings which is decent.

Worst hotel gym I have seen. Zero free weights, 3 medicine balls. Zero cable machines. Two treadmills, only one turns on. and an elyptical. I will lose gains on this visit.

I heard good and bad on this chicken place so decided to check it out. All I can say is the French fries were fresh and good. The chicken tenders are small I got a 4 piece and they were small one was mostly crust. The were just ok with flavor nothing great. The young lady that took our order wasn't the most friendly. I was asking questions because this was my first time there and she just gave me a basic answer nothing more. I liked the decor it was nice but no I think i tried it and won't return.

Beautiful location, great ambiance, very clean and friendly staff. Although the food wasn't amazing. I had the grilled chick's meal and wife had the same but traditional fried. It was simply okay. Great presentation but not delicious chicken. The fries on the other hand was amazing, and the toast was really good too with garlic and butter. The BBQ sauce was more of a vinegarette. Overall i love the vision but the main show the chicken isn't the star of the show.

This is the first time I’ve ever left a review for a restaurant. And I’m only doing it because it’s the best damn chicken I’ve ever had! I also loved the Mac and cheese! I can’t wait to try the deserts in a cup, they have Banana pudding, strawberry cheesecake, and I think a brownie type thing.. I’ll definitely be returning often! I also feel the need to add, this is the cleanest restaurant I’ve seen in a while! Staff is also very kind and attentive! I dying into the Lake Wells, Florida location!

Great people working at this location but I hate to say it but it must be the worst chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Hopefully it is because they are having a bad day. I was looking forward to a great chicken sandwich. I loaded it up with mayonnaise to help it. Chicken was tough and bun was flat.

This was my first time visiting Slim Chickens, and I had an excellent experience thanks to an employee named Miracle T. Her customer service was outstanding. She greeted me warmly, walked me through the menu, shared recommendations (including what she liked best), and made the whole process easy. What stood out the most was how well she balanced multiple responsibilities—taking orders at the register while also cleaning tables and reorganizing chairs—all while keeping a great attitude. That level of professionalism and positivity is rare to find these days. To the management team: you have a great employee in Miracle. She made my first visit memorable, and I’ll definitely be back because of her service.

Cayenne ranch sauce was my favorite! It’s like Chick-fil-A and Raising Cane’s married and had a red headed stepchild!!! So good!!! Front staff woman was incredible too… will return!!

Tacos Riendos is a gem! This family owned business pours a lot of love into their food and service. My Mexican family is always so picky with their tacos, and they rave their tacos ~ plus you can opt for vegetarian options if you’re a fellow non-meat eater. PLEASE do yourself a favor and order their flan, it’s kinda like a mix of cheesecake and flan and soo creamy and delicious! I’m definitely a lifetime customer.

I lived in New Mexico for 7 years so I know good Mexican food. I've also stopped at pretty much every taco truck in the area around Frostproof and none, I mean, none of them can compare to what I had today. The corn tortillas were freshly made that morning, the meat was VERY tender and juicy... AND the homemade green and red salsa were to die for! My husband Dan (this is Caroline doing the review) had a burrito that was so big he had 1/2 for lunch and the other half for dinner. He said it was the tastiest he had ever had. Thank you so much Tacos Riendo for making our day! You guys are the BEST!

Amazing!!! We did the catering option for a party, and Jessica was hands down the best at everything!!!! Communication was spot on, delivery was spot on, and the food was incredible!!!! Recommend 100% for catering, now I just need to get in the restaurant for more!!!! I wish I would've gotten the name of the gentleman that delivered, he was amazing to!!!!

I was on delivery and decided to stop on the way back to Orlando to try their much advertised "Wawa has Pizza" Being in the restaurant business for 30+ years and a baker for 20+ years this product is to be avoided at all costs. The crust is like a burnt cracker. Very tough, and tasteless even with the garlic butter The sauce is a weird taste between ketchup and marinara sauce. The cheese is gluey. I'm not sure who the corporate chefs are at Wawa headquarters that spent all this time and money developing this product. I'm not sure what was in the heads of the decision makers that rolled out this product with millions in advertising This is just plain awful It's expensive also at $12.99 for 14" and $14.99 for a 16"

I would normally love to give this Wawa a good review but tonight I was highly disappointed with what I witnessed. A young girl accidentally dropped her drink as she tried to put her straw through the lid. Instead of getting a mop or even giving this young girl a rag to help, all staff ignored her and her two friends as they scooped the drink off the floor with their hands. Staff didn’t even blink an eye and all three kids were extremely polite and apologized multiple times! Staff didn’t offer a remake of the young girls drink even though she hadn’t even had a single sip. It was disappointing to see the staff completely ignore the whole situation and even when the kids said something they were ignored. I’m a manager in food service and I expect way more of my staff than that.

As the TV commercials say - this is a great place to get a quality fresh-made sandwich. Only downside is that some of their menu items have changed. Also, every time here - never a problem with the food. It just takes way to long to get a sandwich made. Allin all - still a great place to go.

Ordered delivery last night , the food y’all make is absolutely disgusting. Never again . The quality of ingredients? Wow . I felt like I had chopped up chicken nuggets in a wrap ?? What happened to these chicken strips I was awaiting? Sweet pickles ? How gross. Every one talks about Wawa they must not have any taste buds . Absolutely disgusting !

So it's a lady named Angie working the drink area. She was ride and had a attitude. Talking and cussing to herself. Slamming milk jug down and blender was thrown into the sink. Very uncomfortable situation. She was so upset she messed up my drinks

I enjoy there products most the time I just have to say that $5 for 2 meatballs is ludacris! Never going back and I used to stop here for coffee atleast 3 times a week. I'm no longer contributing to societies atrocities!

Don't make a simple order mistake. The employees will have a fit, roll their eyes, give you a straight attitude, and even slam the plates and cups just over a mistake.

Came for dinner for our anniversary. There was a guitarist playing and the volume was perfect. Not too loud, so you could enjoy background music and still hear to talk. The waitresses were friendly and helpful with suggestions. We ordered surf and turf with scallops. The scallops were barely warm but they replaced them with fresh hot ones. The Grooper was lightly blackened as requested and had good flavor. The hush puppies are in between herb and sweet but are good. They have plenty of covered outdoor seating and indoor seating. There is an additional bar with pool tables but there is smoking inside that room so we didn’t go in. You can see the alligators in the water which is neat. Surf and turf - Delicious Grooper platters- very good Will go back

We Had a great experience with the service, food and atmosphere in this place. Wow they have a bunch of Employees on staff and they all work together to get your meal and drinks out fast. We hade the blackened catfish sandwich, with spicy fries. And the. Fried grouper sandwich with regular fries. I loved the sauce they put on the sandwich. Also had the battered mushrooms for a appetizer. All were above expectations for sure. It's a busy place so get there before the Rush..

Our favorite place every time we go is a delightful experience. The best thing is being the only Latinos there. We love the music and the atmosphere.

We dined outside on cover patio in the back. I grew up around and watched this place grow to what it is now . I took my girl there because she had never been. it was hot out but fans were blowing, it florida it's always hot. And we choose to sit out there We order drinks and oysters and fried green tomatoes for apps. Oysters were delicious, nice and cold. Buttery deliciousness. The tomatoes were just alil over cooked to our liken, but still good. My only suggestion would be to sprinkle some parm and parsley over them to make them pop. My girl ordered the steak and that was one of the best steaks we had in a while. 10/10. I ordered a pound of crablegs. 7/10 steamed for to long but still delicious, just couldn't eat all the meat because it was like jerky. Again no worries. It was still great . We ordered a bucket and mixed drink. Both were kinda weak . Again our opinion, drinks were tasty. Over all it was nice and we left full . Over all rating is 8.5/10

Great steak! Cooked to perfection. Everything else was good as well. Although, my eyes were bigger than my stomach so I definitely should’ve skipped the potato skins as it was just me eating there. The broccoli was very tasty and so was the lobster Mac n cheese. Service was good too.

Honestly the best first experience at a restaurant I’ve ever. Our server was Izzy, he immediately greeted us and gave us multiple recommendations. Over the course of our time here he was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. He even helped me pack up my food and put it in the bag and took a picture of my boyfriend and I for me. Overall, amazing service and will 100% be coming back! Thank you so much Izzy!

Service was fantastic, very kind! I got the Imperial Tilapia with a side of green beans and garlic mashed potatoes and they were fantastic!! The scallops and crab stuffing was probably my favorite part of the dish! Also got the strawberry cheesecake for dessert which was absolutely delectable. I did have to add some pepper to the green beans at the table but I also just do like extra seasoning so that might just be personal preference 😁 DEFINITELY will be eating here again, only thing I wish was different was that the Veterans Discount was higher than 5% 💙

Ou group was pleasantly surprised once you entered the restaurant. Our host, Patrick, had a great sense of humor. He mentioned our server would be right with us, turned around and introduced himself as Patrick, our server. We stumbled across this lovely restaurant while taking our Sunday drive. Now we love going there. The Food, service atmosphere are all top notch. Prices are medium. So very worth it. It's an hour drive for us but we keep going back. This past Sunday I chose this place above all others to celebrate our 32 anniversary!

Absolutely loved my experience at L’Incontro Italian! The ambiance was clean, elevated, and welcoming. I had the seafood risotto and grilled chicken kabobs (I can’t remember the actual name for it 😅) both packed with flavor, and the sauce on the kabobs was incredible. Dessert was beyond delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the chefs truly outdid themselves. Highly recommend for a memorable meal!

Driving across the state on Hwy 60, we love stopping for Lunch or Dinner at L'incontro Italian Restaurant. The menu and daily specials are all delicious. The atmosphere is refined and elegant. The service is friendly and attentive. The locals love it too, so that’s always a good sign. We highly recommend L’incontro for an enjoyable dining experience.

Today for Mother's Day took mom out for late lunch . Seated after a few minutes (without a reservation). Out on the back porch area enjoying the breeze with a slight view of the lake. Waitress Brandi was promptly at out table for our drink orders. I ordered Moscato and Cuz a glass of O'Douls. Coke for mom and SG. Calamari was fresh with sauce and the bread assortment was fresh. I ordered the shrimp fettuccine, mom the spaghetti with meatballs and Cousins split the eggplant with a side dish of spaghetti. The portions were more than enough for one person. Authentic sauces made for a pleasant taste. Our waitress was attentive for refills and definitely getting us to go boxes. It was our first time there and was very happy for it to be 1st of many. Can't wait to go again.

Was unexpectedly surprised by our visit on a Tuesday night, in the off season. The food was pretty good, but the service from Kayla, aka “Slim”, was probably the best I’ve had since moving to Polk County 20 yrs ago. Evan though she had 10+ tables, Kayla managed to provide each one with her vibrant, personal touch. Friendly and engaging, you’d never know she was slammed while she managed each table effortlessly. I had the Prime Rib, Hubby had a Burger with battered fries. Everything tasted fresh and the table side salad (bottomless) with House garlic ranch dressing was tasty though not overpowering. The yeast rolls with cinnamon butter were a pleasant surprise. Though limited in selection, the pour on my glass of wine was generous. Not what I expected from a Lake Wales establishment at all. The atmosphere was pleasant, and although we were there until 15 mins after closing, no one made us feel rushed at all. Plenty of food left over. With a $65 tab for two (Prime Rib is expensive yall) we definitely felt like we got our money’s worth. Look forward to coming back again soon. Since we travel for work, it will probably be next week. The menu is extensive, with something for everyone.

The food was prepared very quickly and was delicious. The service was above and beyond, Kayla (Punkin) was very personable, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very family-oriented and a pleasure to dine in. The restaurant is kept very clean and looks amazing. We had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes, pork chop ribeye with sweet potato, chicken parmesan with fettuccine alfredo, Caesar salad with grilled chicken and chicken breasts with bacon, cheese and barbecue sauce.

We met with a group of 9 friends, and they put our group in the "private VIP" room. It was awesome. It allowed us to truly enjoy the time with our friends. We were not rushed or felt pressured to "hurry up." The restaurant size is deceiving. It is much bigger than you think! The decor is amazing! Highly recommend this place!

Most of the food was good tonight. However, everytime we go the steak is undercooked. We asked for well done no color and we got medium. I will not be ordering hamburger or steak here again.

Fantastic service by Angela! Made a great meal even better. Rueben sandwich’s were lean and grilled to perfection. The pineapple chicken salad… refreshing and wonderful. (Gluten free). Need a little dessert fix, they have delicious dessert “shots” to choose from. Very enjoyable.

This is an old, hole-in-the-wall joint which we usually like. This place takes it to a whole new level as we weren't sure how it is still standing from the actual holes in the walls. I actually was afraid a snake or something would come slithering in from outside. The menu is hand written and kind of difficult to understand. My husband got the ribeye and I ordered the fried combo of fish and shrimp. All dinners come with a veggie, a potato, salad and garlic bread. Garlic bread was ok except there was no garlic. Salad was fresh and served on a plastic plate. My fried fish and shrimp was very good. The green beans that came with it were not. We both took one bite, couldn't stand them and set them aside. His ribeye had an "ok" flavor, but was tough. The food came out in a timely manner, but we had to ask for refills on our drinks. Entrees are $25 - $50 here. DEFINITELY not worth the money. Much better food can be found elsewhere for much less money without the sketchy surroundings.

The quaint ambiance lends itself to a nice rustic meal. Loved the service and food. French dressing is a Catalina French which isn't quite as tasty as Red Lobsters used to be but still good. The garlic bread was delicious and a nice addition to my bowtie alfredo pasta with collard greens and corn. The sweet tea was on point with flavor and was not over brewed. The sweetness level is off the charts so if you enjoy a lightly sweet tea, you will want to order half sweet half unsweetened tea. Overall a great experience and would eat at again!

Had an excellent experience last night for dinner. Appetizers were awesome. My steak was perfect as well as the scallops and shrimp. Baked potato was just the way I liked it and I always look forward to the greens! The service was great, too! I highly recommend Norbys Steak and Seafood in Lake Wales!

We had previously driven by and they were not yet open, but food smelled great. We went today for my husband's birthday, a Thursday night. We arrived and signed in at 6:30pm, we didn't get seated until about 7:45pm. There were multiple tables that required bussing. There was no social distancing or masks worn by the staff. We wore masks, and a few other customers, but not all. We ordered "Lobster Bites" for an appetizer. This was sad, misleading and gross. It was NOT lobster, it was Langostinos, doused with garlic butter on french bread that was toasted (WTH??) Then for entrees my Snow Crab Legs had a substantial fishy smell (seafood should NEVER smell fishy!). And my husband's Baby Back Ribs were dry. Our entire meal was disgusting. The best part of our meals was the salad. I will NEVER go there again, and I will tell everyone I know not to go either.

Great price on surf and turf (filet mignon & shrimp) with their coupon offer. The Haddock was a bit disappointing but loved the shrimp that came with it! Great service and cool atmosphere with the plants and "greenhouse" kinda setting! Heck when they finish up with complimentary cheesecake, I'm a happy girl 😊

We have been eating at Norby's for over a dozen years, and have NEVER been disappointed. Yes, there is sometimes a waiting list to get in. But the food is well worth the wait. The steaks served up are fabulous!

This Smokehouse offers a scenic dining experience with delicious BBQ. The brisket and burnt ends was a standout, and the service was friendly. The location on the river provides a relaxing atmosphere. It's worth a visit if you're looking for good food and a nice view. The ordering experience was very quick. (Disappointing lack of vegetarian choices, though.)

After knowing we are vegetarians and the menu did not include any vegetarian options. The front desk lady and Juan from the kitchen made possible for us to have something to eat. We were empty stomach with 3 hours drive. His kindness, extra mille work and dedication reminded us the beauty of humanity. Thank you both.

We just had our dinner there. The food was really good and much better than what I expected. I was little reluctant to go there after reading few reviews but surprisingly, we, family of 5, liked it very much. I definitely recommend and will visit again if I'm nearby.

Nice little smokehouse located on westgate riber ranch property. Absolutely beautiful atmosphere and very friendly staff. We did have to wait about 20 mins for a table on a Friday night but that was not worries to us. We all enjoyed out appetizers of gator tail and wings while we waited for our meal! My husband and i got the ribeye which was great and the kids all enjoyed their kids menu items. This was our first time here and they were definitely understaffed... But who isnt right now!!! Regardless the service was amazing and Heather took great care of us! Amazing work team!!! We will definitely be back!!!!!

The ride out to this place was amazing. Rode the bike up from Aventura. Maybe my expectations were a bit high.. but service was okay and the wait time was pretty long. Seemed like all the buzzers went off at the same time and the pick up window was stormed . I ordered the two meat one side. Brisket , pork and Mac n cheese. The mac was delicious. The brisket , I've had way better. It was thinly sliced like bacon and pretty tough. Not what you'd expect from smoked all day long brisket. The pork was, well, mediocre. The sauces on the other hand was phenomenal. Glass of water 🤢 . If you go drink bottled as the fountain drinks are made with the tap water . Disgusting . But hey it was hot and having ridden 200 plus miles , I was thirsty. Not a spot I would recommend to eat at. Sorry. Just being honest 🤷. And for 25 bucks, there are better options available im sure.

Best find on our way to Orlando. Food was delicious but the service by Delainie (spelling?) our server was superb. The place was clean and it looked like it has been recently renovated. It was the perfect quick stop to enjoy a delicious BBQ. The prices are great and their specials are amazing.

As a newbie in the area of Lake Wales in Polk County, we find Woody’s as one the best places to eat… Their portions are large, the flavor of their food is ‘home cooked’, Kayla our server was nice and not overly ‘attentive’. We’ve been in this place twice already in two weeks :) - I love their prime rib it wasn’t thick and dry, plus there is a lil bit of fat.. my husband didn’t like it ‘coz he likes it thick and medium rare. Also, we like their spare ribs bbq and the cinnamon butter spread for the bread was to die for ❤️

I stopped in today and was blown away from start to finish. The place was spotless — inside, outside, and even the restrooms were extremely clean. I was greeted right away by a friendly host and seated quickly. My server, Abigail, was incredible! She had a fun, bubbly attitude and really seemed to love her job. She brought my drink super fast and was great at answering all my (many!) questions about the menu with honesty and confidence. She kept my drink full and checked in often to make sure everything was perfect. The food came out in under 10 minutes — talk about efficiency! I ordered the lunch brisket with coleslaw, beans, and cornbread. The brisket was tender, juicy, and so soft I could cut it with a fork. The beans and coleslaw were flavorful, and the cornbread had a great texture — not too dry, just right. All in all, Woody’s BBQ is top-notch from front to back. Great service, great food, and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area — you won’t be disappointed!

My partner and I wanted to try a new place having moved to the area recently. I get very sick if I have gluten. Trying to do our due diligence, we called the restaurant and asked a number of questions before deciding if it would work for me. I ordered the 3 meat salad, with no croutons and blue cheese. Should be simple and totally fine to eat. We drive 30 minutes to pick up our order. After taking the hour round trip back to home, I found croutons all over the salad. Not just on top, but in between and on the bottom of the container as well. We called promptly letting them know what had happened with our order and we were wanting to sort out some sort of refund since I was not able to eat my meal. We were told that we could receive a credit for a future visit (no) Or that we could drive the salad back 30 minutes, even though it showed on the receipt that “no croutons” hadn’t even been typed in as a modifier for the meal. Tomorrow, we will be driving the salad back for our last visit to Woody’s BBQ.

The food was dry and the sides were not edible. First time here and won't be back. Coleslaw, baked beans and fried corn. How can you go wrong with that. Well they did. All the meat was very dry.

The well cooked ribs were thick, juicy and tender but their sauces don't stand up to my standards. I tried all three but each one missed its mark The cole slaw looked delicious but it had an old cabbage head taste. The fries were good; a suggestion is to add a pinch of smokey paprika to them.

First and last time . The sliced Turkey is as if it came from a can . ( think canned ham) The fries were soggy , slaw was runny and warm. The fried okra was overcooked big time . Garlic bread was extra garlicky .Sliced pork was average. The baked beans were good . $60.00 takeout was a big nope! 👎🏻Pics above

My family loves coming here, and with the lunch or 3forme deals, it's just as much as McDonald's. Our server, Jessie, was wonderfully attentive. The atmosphere was very family friendly also. It took us by surprise when another group asked us to let them buy our meals. We made sure to pay it forward. What a blessing they started! I definitely recommend the dip trio with both queso options and the guac! I'm not a fan usually, but this was fresh and delicious.

First, the music was so loud in the dining area that people were talking loud to hear each other making it even louder. The floors & tables were sticky! There was not a lot of people in the restaurant at the time we entered so when I requested a booth for the two of us, I was shocked that not only did they seat us in the section full of families & kids but at one of the half booths! Normally I don't mind sitting near the families but there was quite a few booths over on the other side which was mostly all adults! I should have spoken up but didn't! So the half booth does not have a table big enough to hold a appetizer platter & dinner plates with drink glasses! It was very uncomfortable & not necessary! I ordered the Skillet Beef queso with warm chips, they came out immediately which I was excited until I started eating them & realized the chips were cold & the dip was room temperature. Our waiter was friendly enough but disappeared so I ate a couple of chips until our meals came. We couldn't even eat what we ordered. It was gross! My husband ordered chicken crisper combo. He said the mac & cheese was not edible tasting like it sat in a pot all day & chewy. The chicken was dry. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch quesadillas. The lettuce in the center of plate was wet & wilted, the Pico I didnt eat as the tomatoes in it were white & it looked watery, which seemed weird as if this meal was someone else's before me & they reheated the plate with everything on it! I couldn't eat the queso's as the cheese was so burnt inside it was hard & dry & the chicken was dry as if it had been microwaved several times!!! I tried dipping it in the sour cream but it was too gross! We had not been to Chili's in over 25 yrs & thought we would give it a try. It was a waste of $60.00 for 2 people!!!! The waiter had asked us to leave a good review. I started the review at the restaurant but then before I could write what was wrong, the review left the screen. We belong to a group that likes to go out monthly to local restaurants, we will NOT be recommending this restaurant!!!

Driving home from a long day in Orlando we decided to stop by for dinner.. Our server was Katelyn and she did an amazing job, very attentive and helpful. Drinks and food was quickly delivered, she always checked on us and made sure we were good. She made our dining experience enjoyable.

The food was good. - Large portions. Cooked nicely. We sat in the bar area- the service was fine. We didn't have to wait long. The food came out in a usual amount of time. A couple very minor issues with the plating (no dressing, and put pickles on although we asked to have them removed). Everything was clean. We were so cold that I had to go to the car and change clothes (we were traveling so I had extra) and my husband had to put on a jacket (this is highly unusual). We left faster than usual due to the temperature.

Mariah provided us with exceptional service today at Chilis! The food tasted awesome as always and you can not beat their 3-for-me $10.99 special. We love eating at Chili's!

7 of us visited yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was a little salty, but very good. The service was outstanding!! Our server Lisandra was outstanding!!! She was very attentive, kind and helpful. The other servers were also excellent. We will definitely visit that location again!!

Had an awesome dinner at Chili’s! I got the fajitas (so good!) and treated myself to two margaritas. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Our waitress was super friendly and on top of everything, like keeping our drinks filled, which made the whole night even better. Great food, great service, great drinks. I’ll definitely be back!

Nice little place, however, smelled musty inside, carpet needs cleaned or replaced. Burger was not completely cooked, Was NOT CHARGED! Waitress was very apologetic. Fries were very good.

We like finding local spots and were driving by. We parked at 12:30 and and went in to a "seat yourself" booth. A waitress asked what we wanted to drink and brought us each an iced tea. A different server came by to take our order. I ordered the liver and onions dinner and my companion ordered the chicken fingers dinner. We both had salad with ranch dressing. The ranch was thin and runny and came in a plastic container. The second server couldn't wait to plop down our salads so she could converse with the table to our south. My companion said it was more like a frisbee toss. Our entrees arrived at the table 12:51. My liver and onions seemed to have been floured and then cooked too long as there was black residue attached to the liver. The potatoes were a bit lumpy, so that means they weren't instant. The chicken strips were overcooked and very dark as you can see in the picture provided. The fries were nothing special. The server didn't come back by the table for 15 minutes. She did converse with several other tables while leaving us alone. So much time passed that sending the chicken back would have been counterproductive to our day. I did notice the servers making to-go drinks for the other tables, but we were not offered this courtesy. What an experience we had at lunch!!! My husband and I chose this as a central location to meet up, and decided to stay for lunch after reading others reviews. So glad we did. The restaurant staff welcomed us with warm smiles from the moment we walked through the door and we were treated more like old friends than just customers. Brittany was our server (Hope I’m spelling it right) and she was FANTASTIC!!! The food was all delicious and we will definitely be back. Shortly after we entered, the restaurant sat down one of the worst storms. We have been in any long time, rolled through town and continued for quite some time, much to the shock of every single one of us lightning struck very close and knocked out some of the local abilities, including telephone lines and data cables. The staff at the restaurant handled everything beautifully, made everybody feel safe and didn’t skip a beat. Thanks again, see you all the next time we pass back through.!

This place is overpriced. The pizza taste worse than a microwave pizza from the grocery store not one thing taste authentic. They are extremely rude. Yeah this is definitely a place not to take your family and definitely not to eat at.

The food there is amazing great service. So good in fact the 2 times I went there I eat an extra large pizza in one sitting. LOVE ITT. Would recommend 10/10 would definitely go back again certified big back.

Messy place. Ordered Greek salad look what I got- spinach, olives and cheese. Missing 3 ingredients out of 6 When I called to asked the lady had the audacity to tell that they make two kinds of Greek salad I should have told them to add tomatoes and cucumber. I ordered from their menu and clearly is only one type of Greek salad. The audacity and the arrogance from these ppl I ll never order from here again

Hands down the best pizza I’ve had in a long time! The flavor was incredible — true New York style, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. My mom even said she felt like she “died and went to heaven” after her first bite! The service was just as impressive — quick, friendly, and attentive. Our food came out fast, piping hot, and everything tasted amazing. Giovanni’s New York pizza has definitely become my new go-to spot in Winter Haven. Highly recommend!

The calzone was decent, hard to find around Polk county.But the Antipast was sadd. Wut kinda antipasto has no artichokes? Need to go back the drawing board on the recipe.insulting really as an Italian from new haven,ct

The people were friendly and didn't rush us to place our order. The pizza was delicious wasn't burned or over cooked it was perfect. If I come to Winter Haven again I will definitely come back. They even had a 30 inch pizza Wow it was huge enough for 4-6 people.

Haven't been here in many years my mother-in-law used to live near there and she passed we were in the area and we stopped in and the pizza was awesome. Just like I remember. We had a pie with half pepperoni and half meatball and it was delicious

Seemed like an old Pizza Hut. Still needs a little updating. First time I ever saw a TV in Bathroom, but bathroom wasn’t very clean. The positives were our wonderful waitress and the food. The wings were probably the best I ever had (dry rub salt and pepper) and the Tampa Cuban was perfect. Highly recommend this place.

I contacted this Beef O Brady's to cater a rehearsal dinner and they were fabulous! Everything was excellent and delivered with care. Thank you guys so much! It served 28 guests with some leftovers. Everyone was commenting on how great the food was! I received everything I ordered, even the toppings, drinks, sauces, ice, cups, ect. Thank you so much for making my sons wedding rehearsal dinner so great!

No sauces with combo appetizer which should have came with 4 different dipping sauces! Very disappointed! Then they didn’t put anything on the funnel fries which is supposed to come with caramel or chocolate for dipping. We chose chocolate. This is the 3rd time they screwed up our online order! Told my husband to check everything but he wasn’t thinking of the sauces that we paid for. Even gave them a tip! Guess ppl just don’t seem to care anymore or do their actual job! My family was disappointed. Definitely won’t order online from them again.

We ordered Instacart and I received boneless wings that were extremely hard. I couldn't even stick a fork in it. I ate literally 3 pieces that weren't even that great... But after spending almost $80 on 3 meals, I was very disappointed. I swear I choose traditional wings because I never buy boneless, but apparently that's what I got regardless. They were horrible.

This afternoon my friend and I stopped in at beef o Brady's for a bite to eat. As usual I sat in the screened in patio. I saw a dog turd in the middle of the floor upon arrival. Our waitress took a few minutes getting to us. When she arrived I pointed out the dog turd and asked if dogs are allowed in. I expected the dog turd to be removed. It never was íand I could not finish my meal. I had to take it home and I did not even get my tea refilled. I order a Cuban and the 1985 salad and eat it all but the dog turd ruined my meal. It was super nasty and even though I pointed it out no one picked it up

Awesome chicken wings...service is great (Angela). Ordered the deluxe combo, it was OK. The garlic bread made the meal. Wife ordered the Fat Boy sandwich which I had a taste and it was amazing.

Had the "Platter for 2" and it was AWESOME! As a chef, I love good value for money and Fat Boys Bar-B-Q doesn't disappoint. Our platter was loaded with smoked sliced Beef, Pork and Chicken, Ribs, Chicken Wings, Smoked Turkey, Beans, Slaw, a mountain of perfect Fries and Garlic Toast! There were 2 of us and we had to take some home! (and we came HUNGRY!) I really love the Bar-B-Q Sauce here, it's among my Top 5 All Time Sauces. Wish I could take a bottle or 10 home, they'd make great Holiday presents to my family, scattered all over America! Awesome!

I’ve eaten here a few times over the years and food was always on point and awesome. Today I took my family here after going to nearby annual 39 mile yard sale we were hungry! Pulled up got bad vibes kitchen staff outside chilling and vaping . We got greeted and seated promptly. Server was great and had our drinks out to us promptly even did great with refills ! Took almost an hr to get our food after order was placed . Most of our order was cold even the fries BBQ flavor was mediocre at best . I don’t know what happened to this old little Florida gem but Maybe need to freshen up their management and kitchen staff . Location is probably difficult to find dedicated workers that actually care anymore. I gave 3 stars because even though it was cold food it wasn’t the worse I’ve ever had . I would have rather spent my $90 somewhere else though.Only thing positive were the server and the portion sizes .

Absolutely delicious this was a combo plate ribs/chicken & shaved beef Brunswick stew, beans and coleslaw!!!!

They gave me a unmarked bottle of ketchup and I put it on my burger and then she told me it was hot barbeque sauce. I also recieved a soggy bun dripping water on my burger. My friends chicken was bloody and the bathrooms were disgusting and the toilets moved forward when you sit down and the toilets don't flush. The cheese smells like mold and the beans smell like chemicals. Don't ever bring your family here unless you want food poisoning.

There's no place like this in South Florida. We don't have any down south in Palm Beach county. And the people here could not be nicer the barbecue is great. You can't get a more local's place than this.

We all order their T-Bone Steak but with different sides, except the corn. The corn was cold, guess they didn’t microwave it enough. All steaks were cooked as ordered and well seasoned. But the Texas Toast was oily and my toast was over toasted. The Ice Tea was too sweet so I order 50/50 with Lemon Aid but order refills 3 time and each one was different. But the service was great, can’t hold the server responsible for what the cook does, but they could have made the Ice Tea the same at least. They would have the 5 Stars for Service this is why they only received 4. But the front side was clean, the bathroom I would say needed attention. But for being in Lake Wales it was really the only restaurant, everything else was fast food chains.

Food was decent. Our server ELEXIS was horrible, no sense of urgency. It took her over 5 minutes to even greet the table. She only had 2 other tables and they already had their food. She never came back to ask how the food was. I received 5 small onion rings as my side and I asked her if that was a normal portion. She replied “I think so I don’t work in the kitchen that’s what the cook gave me”. Never brought syrup for the pancakes. When I reminded her to bring it since we were then ready to leave she had an attitude about it and took her time getting it. Manager didn’t care to ask why we were upset. Another server asked if something happened and I told her a lot happened. “Oh” is the response I got and the manager didn’t care to ask what happened. Paid and left, will never return to this location.

Unbelievable. Worst tasting food ever. Place was filthy. Place empty. Waitress said they don’t have any hamburgers left among other things. The only thing decent was the orange juice. $13 for an omelette. Manager asked if he could fix us another one . We said no since our first order took over 35 minutes for breakfast. We heard the cook say he doesn’t know how to cook meat. On top of that waitress said toaster isn’t working would we like it grilled. I will NEVER return. $38 for 2 disgusting breakfast.

Pretty disappointed with this place. They are serving less than half of the milkshake for the same price of $5.59. The “new” serving is almost a kids size now. What they served is not even close to what they advertised on the menu. Got to compare with the one in Poinciana and shakes are $4.99 plus they serve the advertised portion. This specific one is lead by thieves.

Before I forget I had dinner last night by myself so I stopped at dennys. It wasn't to busy but I got to say my server Jenn I think it was was amazing very friendly and amazing sweet girl. Our family gets take out here often, I am pretty disappointed with the inconsistency of the boneless wings. Most times when we get them, they are huge with just a few smaller ones in the batch, this order they are so small and dried out.

service depends on the night really. probably a good place if you’re going mainly for the bar but the meals aren’t worth the money they charge. the menu does not reflect actual prices. paid 30$ for boneless wings and loaded fries not including tip. portions vary heavily. will not be back

We had my husband's 50th birthday celebration at the lake wales location and it was a great big turn out. Plenty of space for our 50+ guest! Food was great with reasonable pricing and the service was excellent. The bar tender was awesome, drinks were great and prompt. The manager made it very easy..THANKYOU TO ALL!

Simply not impressed. The one server was very sweet and was also the bartender, but there were only about 10 people total there for lunch on a Saturday. We waited 40 minutes for an appetizer and a sandwich. The food was ok, but nothing to get excited about and the tomato on my sandwich was old. The entire place felt unkept and dirty. They charge a fee for paying with a card which is a huge turn off for me.

My wife and I were in a road trip. It was almost 1p.m and I wanted to stop somewhere, eat and watch the game. We found this place. Had a good time. The mild sweet wings were 😋😋😋.

This is a nice and quiet little family-friendly sports bar. The food portions are huge and the drinks are cheap. The burger could have been two sandwiches easily. I ordered the hurricane chicken, and while it was pretty good, i would have liked the barbeque sauce to be something more original. It tasted like any plain old store bought sauce. There's games and pool tables to keep everyone entertained. We'll definitely give this place another try. The menu had a lot of options that sound amazing!

Food was over cooked. Our waitress samm was not very nice. She charge us extra things. Samm didn't even check on us to see if we were doing ok. Bri was very helpful and attentive to fix our things. Bri also got our drinks that we were waiting on. Very sad with the experience but bri deserves to be awarded because she is the one who went out of her way to help us. This is normally one of my favorite places to eat.

This what you're looking for, fresh seafood and they will cook it for you. Absolutely the best smoked salmon you will ever taste! Be sure to pick up their smoked Wahoo Fish dip, you'll be back for more. I would suggest to try their combo platter for lunch. You will not find a better seafood platter for less money anywhere! You will tell your friends

My Rotary Club came here for lunch yesterday. They accommodated our group quite nicely. The menu is limited but what they have is very good. I had the clam chowder soup and a Maryland crab cake. Very tasty. The staff was very friendly. As you might guess the place smells very fishy.

You know these small sun-down towns could be a hit or miss and scary sometimes. However, this one was actually pretty good. Our server Dina was excellent. The Catfish was the most popular on the menu as it seems like everyone was ordering it. Overall, City Star Family Restaurant is worth stopping by if you're in the area. Highly recommended. 5-Stars

My wife and I had a great dinner here. Great atmosphere and excellent service. We both had the special, beef ravioli with salad and garlic bread. It was very good and prices were fair. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. We spoke with the owner as we were leaving and thanked him for the meals. He was very humble and likable. I would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly and hope this business is able to survive through this difficult time of pandemic fears and financial hardships. Visited today for the first time. All the staff was friendly and our food came very quickly. I ordered two eggs with country fried steak and it was very good. 50's/60's style atmosphere. Would go again.

Wow! What a place. Getting harder and harder to find a family restaurant. Definitely a winner. Had clam strips and my brother had the catfish. Both were quite a bit better than expected even after the waitress (daughter of the owner) talked up the catfish as being famous. Clam strips were battered in house and were amazing. Just passing through this area but wish I could come back soon.

I wanted this place to be better, but it was just okay. Their claim to “best catfish” in the county is either overstated or doesn’t say much for the competition. The meals were okay, but I don’t think I would stop again.

We very much enjoyed our visit here. The restaurant is small and very modestly decorated, but the food was very good and the young person who waited on us was very attentive. I love french fries and theirs are homemade! So rare to see as everybody uses frozen fries today. We had the grouper sandwich and the grouper was very fresh, and a burger with pimento cheese, which was delicious. We would definitely go back!

Our family dropped in for dinner and we’ve decided this is our new favorite place! We had -hands down- the tastiest shrimp and grits we’ve ever had. We also loved their smoked fish dip, and enjoyed fresh cut french fries. Our server never left us without sweet tea and the atmosphere was cozy and eclectic.

Just had dinner at Melanie's. We try to go several times while we are in the area. The shrimp and grits are what we look forward to. One word, perfect! Absolutely the best.

What a great seafood restaurant in our area. The menu boasts many choices and one I almost NEVER see: whole pompano! Oh, I couldn't wait to eat it. It was delicious. The homemade "shoestring" fries were excellent. A cozy environment and friendly staff. So glad we "discovered" this gem! Will be back often.

This is a great seafood restaurant located in downtown Lake Wales. We tried a variety of items, and everything was very good. It's one of the few seafood restaurants in the area that serves Manhattan Clam Chowder. Our server was very friendly and did a great job, too.

North of Lake Wales on Florida 17 lies an old Florida Roadhouse called Al's Place. Since Ruby likes Chili dogs and we were in the area, we stopped in. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and the inside is decorated with historic front pages of famous events. A group of regulars were at the unique elephant table. Ruby had a regular chili dog, I had a slaw dog and a sauerkraut dog. We shared an order of onion rings. I had 2 mugs of draft beer, and Ruby had ice tea. The food was good, but a hint, the sauerkraut is cold on the hot dog. They will heat it upon request. There's a stage in the backyard where they have live music. Saturday is bargain day with reduced prices. Carrie, our waitress, was very friendly and efficient.

Very cute little bar and eat area. The people in there were very kind and polite this was my first time hear and I am curious to go back and see what is on nexted weeks special. On Saturday they have a special chili dog and fries. We met some beautiful kind people the server was Sandy and she was good very attentive.

We come here a lot of Sundays for laid back dining. We love the atmosphere. Our kids love it . There's a seperate bar area for the adults. Their meatball subs and coleslaw are delicious.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming to us newcomers and the chef is absolutely amazing. She's a fantastic cook and these pictures won't do them justice but I hope you enjoy anyway! Had to stop in and check out their breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. Marilyn and I both got one and it was pretty good. This comes with french fries but we also got some onion rings and some coleslaw. You just have to be aware this is cash only no credit cards. The waitress was really nice and took good care of us.

Came here for a first visit with two friends after a nearby hike. This place is small. It's very much a hole in the wall. It's an intimate but casual setting. I got the meatloaf which was delicious. Others got country fried steak and Reuben sandwich. Both friends enjoyed their food. Very relaxed atmosphere and efficient service.

I genuinely wish I could give this place a higher rating! I ordered the Philly cheese steak omelette, and my partner ordered the barbecue bacon burger. The food was incredible, fresh, and you can tell it was made with love and care. The homemade salsa was absolutely wonderful! I also wanted to give a shout out to Veronica, our waitress. Has hell of a personality, very friendly, and makes great conversation. She made us feel right at home, and was very attentive to us. What a wonderful place, highly recommend for breakfast!

Staying at Oak Hammock Resort, this hole in the wall was just what we were looking for, and it was 2 minutes away. We happened to go there when it was steak night, perfect! Hubby had the steak and I enjoyed the Rueben Vinnychanga. Everything was delicious. And the company was even better. So good that we went back the very next morning for breakfast. We will be talking about this vacation for years, just because of the owners of this wonderful little restaurant.

My Aunt and I found this place online and decided to check it out. Are we glad we did! The food, service and atmosphere were all great. It was their 16 year anniversary of being open, CONGRATULATIONS! I ordered smothered pork chops, YUMMYYY, and my Aunt ordered catfish, which wasn’t even on the menu but they made it for her. She loved it, WE loved it. The owner worked the front and her husband cooks. She was soo pleasant, attentive and accommodating. Dynamic duo! We will return.

If catfish is what you're looking for then you got to try Vinny's! You will not find any better! Only u.s. farm raised catfish. Has a very large menu for a small place. I've heard a lot about this place and they were all right, will definitely return and bring friends.

Stopped by at about 430 to pick up 3 dinners. No beans no cornbread, no potato salad, no pulled pork. Only Mac n cheese for side. Chicken lacked flavor but was juicy. Ribs were tender. Over all a bit of a let down.

Let me start by saying this is some seriously good food. Don’t pass by Rufus ribs without stopping!! This husband and wife duo are the sweetest thing, you can tell all their food was made with love. Rufus was out on the smoker, while his wife took orders and prepared the food. The food is home cooked every day and boy was it good. I got the chicken and rib dinner 10/10. The collard greens and cornbread were equally as excellent. They make sure to give you plenty of sauce too which I love!! If you’re passing by or just haven’t been here yet, you need to go!

If you're visiting in Lake Wales, FL, go on 60 East off US 27 right after 17B on the north side next to Junior's Fish Market. Everything is home made and excellent. If you never thought about trying collard greens, you really have to try them. Four big pieces of ribs and 2 sides with the best cornbread, all for $10.00 each, Fri. & Saturday. Take it from a Snowbird.

First time stopping for ribs at Rufus' ribs. Great collards great potato salad great pie and the ribs were outstanding! Ribs cooked over wood instead of charcoal or pellets for the best flavor. Definitely recomended

I usually come here every timeIvisitLake Wales, but thus time the food was not good. I asked for Carne asada tostadas, they gave me ground beef and insisted that it was carne asada! I asked for a "biftec" plate, which is steak, and I got a meet cut in small pieces full of onions and peppers.

The food is delicious! Very happy that we chose this place to sit and eat. It can be easy take-out too. The food is fresh, and they put a lot on your plate for a good price. We loved it. It's a small and humble place, but the atmosphere is nice. I like all the authentic snacks around the store you can get too.

If you are looking for a regular style restaurant. Not this place. This is your traditional Mexican store with a restaurant. You place your orders with the ladies at the food counter. Then you pay at the front counter. Once your food is given, make sure you ask for whatever it is you might need extra at the time. There is no follow-up once your food is served. You can always walk up to the food counter and ask for whatever you might need later. (To go containers) The food portions are generous, and the prices are fair. It is worth a stop if you're in the area and looking for a filling lunch. The look of the restaurant reminds me when you go to another country and eat where the locals eat. Does not look the best, but LA Botana definitely serves its purpose.

I wanted some Mexican food but didn't realize that it was a little grocery store as well. We weren't sure how to pay for our meal because the lady who took our order said to pay up front but never gave us a ticket or anything stating what we had and unless you speak Spanish it's difficult to communicate with the front cashier but we managed to pay for our food. Also there seemed to be an awful lot of flies in the little seating area.

I moved here from California and my husband and I think the food here is as good as that found in San Diego, which is pretty terrific. The secret here is the meats, which are seasoned to perfection, though my daughter is vegetarian and she loves the food here too. Portions are large. An added bonus is you can check out the in house grocery store and pick up some Mexican candy for dessert or ingredients to make something at home. They even have a great selection of leather cowboy and work boots. The dining area is pretty typical for a traditional taqueria, nothing fancy. But then again, you are here for the food, right?

Tamale and quesadilla were excellent. The salsa verde is easily in my top five favorites. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a must try if you’re driving through.

Ive seen several ppl complain about burnt food while i was there as well, after waiting awhile to even get their order. They offer to remake it, which means waiting even longer. At times, they are short staffed. Which i assume causes unsatisfied customers, b/c one or two employees are running trying to do it all. They now serve lunch buffet. I hope it’s successful with the huge shortage of staff.

Food was not hot was warm cheesy bread was room temperature like been sitting out needed refills but didn’t get till we finished eating . There were only 2 families there so wasn’t busy this is the 3rd try I’ve done in 2 months I want be eating there again I still left a $20 tip I usually leave 40% or more depending on service. When you go out and spend $135 for pizza you expect a good experience and service. Never got our ranch dipping sauce menu says salads but they said they don’t serve salads here my advice go somewhere else

How does a restaurant, with tables, a "buffet", and built like a family dinner place is so understaff? Why even open? I went in laught at the situation for like 10 minutes and left. This joint is a joke and a sad one, the owner needs to wake up before they meet their demise. Didnt had any interaction with the employees but they look like good hardworking people.

Please dont call this a buffet, and for 10.99 the selection was horrible your better off buying a lunch special, I can say it was semi hot and the restaurant clean

They are very slow. Door dash orders take forever to get done. Im a delivery driver and I have to wait 15 mins past the pickup time to get the orders. Also the buffet is overpriced. Food wasn't that great

The staff here was very unprofessional. I placed an order over the phone for two medium pizzas and went to pick them up through the drive-thru. When I arrived, they told me the cook forgot to put one of my pizzas in the oven. I asked for a refund, and the manager came to the window. I asked her which pizza had been cooked, and she told me the jalapeño and pepperoni — but that turned out to be a lie. When I got home, I found that the cheese pizza I received was completely burnt. I’m glad I was able to get my money back, but the experience was very disappointing. This level of disrespect and lack of professionalism is unacceptable. If they can’t handle being busy on a Friday, they shouldn’t be working.

My husband and I has not been to a Pizza Hut buffet for years. (Hard to find) Some we were so excited to try the lunch buffet. When we arrived and went up to the bar, there was nothing there but breadsticks. So we sat down thinking, we maybe there was a bigg rush and someone ate everything. I asked the waitress where the food was and she apologized saying that the cook is working on bringing food out. We sat waiting and around 20 minutes later the kitchen brought ONE small pizza out to the buffet and everyone sitting waiting for food ran up to the buffet for a slice. By the time we got to the bar everything was gone because there has been people sitting and waiting for something to come out of that kitchen. We should have asked for our money back, because it was not a buffet. It was a buffet without food. I'm seriously not making this up. After this, I'm never going to a Pizza Hut Buffet again. For $12.99 a person, I'm going to Golden Corral. At least they have salad.

My husband and I have been coming in this plaza for a while and this day we decided to try out this pizza place that has been here for twenty years. When we walked in we were greeted very politely and asked what would we like to order. We asked what their specialty was and they told us so that’s what we ordered. We immediately went home after we got the pizza to eat it while it was hot. The first thing I didn’t like was that the cheese was on top of the pizza toppings which I didn’t like because the toppings just fell off the pizza. Secondly the crust was hard and flavorless. I’m sorry for my opinion but that is truly how I felt. I even called the restaurant and asked if this is how all the pizzas are made and he said yes. He also told us he would take care of us when we came back in. We just decided we didn’t want to go back again.

You guys call this good pizza? Have you NOT been outside of polk county? This was the most nastiest pizza I've ever had in my life. This is a large? Cut up like this? 2 bites in, and the stench of "something is spoiled within this pizza" kept us from eating it. 60 dollars later for a pizza and 2 soggy "cannolis" drenched in dollar store chocolate syrup at 5 DOLLARS a peice is outrageous. If our dogs at least ate this pizza, I wouldn't have made this post, but even THE DOGS barely licked it, felt funny about it, and walked away from it. Door dash wouldn't at least do a partial refund. I definitely won't ever order from here ever again.

We absolutely LOVED put experience. The food was put of this world it was most definitely worth the drive from Bartow. Definitely my favorite pizza place now and will definitely be going back. I got a personal pan supreme, my son got a personal pan cheese and the hubby got chicken Alfredo. Very nice and proportion sizes , I left very full. I was hoping it would allow me to post photos but I dont see the option on my end.

We loved our Hawaiian pizza! It was cooked perfectly, with a crispy crust and delicious toppings.

Their food is excellent. I have been eating there for several years now. Their restaurant is always clean and their employees are very friendly.. Many times I order delivery to my home and their delivery people are always courteous and prompt and the food is always hot. I love this place! It is much better than any other pizza place around and they have more than just pizza. Everything they have is good.! Really, it is!

I’ve always liked their pizzas. This was the first time I’ve ordered delivery. Was expecting a 70-100 minute wait. It was here in 40ish minutes!! Outstanding! It is my birthday and I just really wanted pizza and a salad. They definitely came through! The deluxe supreme is the best supreme pizza out there. And the antipasto salad is delicious! We ordered a large pie and medium salad and it is definitely more than enough for one sitting. Thank you for making my 41st birthday the best!

Great country food and has some antiques For sale too. I had the clam chowder In the morning, and was thrilled that they were Good serving it to me early am. It is the best clam chowder in the state of Florida literally. My son had eggs and home fries because he was drovobg for a few hours . Love it and will be back

The food was actually pretty good don't have any complaints about the omelet. The only reason why I gave it up 4 on the food. Was? Because of the home Fries were kinda plane. The service was great definitely recommend come check it out.

There was barely any chicken was all breading. It had the correct spice, and the white rice was spot on, but I paid 12$ for white rice, 2 pieces of broccoli, and an egg role that was burnt. Definitely won't be returning to this store.

Holy Sodium! 🤢 I couldn't even eat my orange chicken meal. The egg rolls were yummy though! I'm curious about when the last time the food inspector was at this location. 🤔 Very run down and not very clean looking facility. 😕

We ordered chicken wings in which the description says eight chicken wings and it is not 8 chicken wings for almost $12. That is ridiculous. It is four chicken wings cut in half. You guys need to fix that description because some people have a lot of people in their house and that's not enough food and they were small at that and we spend a lot of money on this $52.70 and with delivery it was $72.71 and we usually get white rice for free or something. we have ordered Chinese food in plenty of places and this is the only place that did not send us white rice. and when it comes to the chicken wings that has me very annoyed. and I forgot to order the soda and it said to add an item and I still had to order separately because it wouldn’t allow me to add it to my order and I had just placed my order and for a 2 L I almost paid seven dollars. That is ridiculous.

This is the first time I ever ordered from this place and it will be the last. The beef teriyaki was SO overcooked even my dog would not eat it. The egg fo young was so dry gravy was very cold. I definitely would not recommend them to my enemies

Wow, this place is amazing. The lady in the front is so polite and if you go there on a daily basis, She remembers your order off the top of your head. The food is so delicious, GENERAL Tso’s Chicken is to die for and the Boneless Ribs a kiss of perfection recommend This Chinese restaurant to anybody that enjoys flavor on their food.

I ordered an egg salad croissant as well as a mocha. i was taken back when the mocha was made with instant coffee and lotssss of hersheys syrup 😅 i tried to offer it to my mom and to my sister because u couldn't stomach it but neither of them could stand it either, we ended up throwing it away which we NEVER do (big on not wasting food) but nobody could stand the taste. the food on the other hand was good. nothing extraordinary of course but not bad either. I would never return or recommend this place to anyone but i will say the staff was very friendly and the scenery / outside seating downtown is very nice and beautiful!

My family and I used to go here regularly. This morning the owner phoned so many times the waitress had to stop taking our order at least twice. My son daughter and I could not even finish our meals. The owner would not give any type of discount. We will not be returning. Three out of five of us were vomiting before we left.. This place deserves maybe a quarter of a star. I give this rating only because the waitress tried to do her job but her boss made it impossible.

The waitress never writes down an order. I have never seen a waitress that can remember 13+ orders and not get one wrong. However... the food is hit and miss! Lately, more miss than hit!

My family and I were told to find a seat when there wern't any, very crowded on Sundays. Food was fair at best. Bacon overcooked, eggs undercooked. Biscuits made with way too much shortening or maybe old greese. Understaffed! In desperate need of a hostess/cashier and a 2nd cook.

Exactly what we were looking for! A good family home cooked breakfast. Place is clean, service is friendly & the food was great. Coffee really hit the spot.

When you buy the combination only comes with egg rolls you need to buy the French fries and soda on the sides the boneless spare ribs are a little bit dry not to much sauces

We went in to have lunch after shopping at Publix and was told we couldn’t eat inside while all their tables were empty. Her excuse was she didn’t want to clean the table after us. Then we went to pay with our debit card and she kept repeating if we had cash and I told her no and she got upset with that. Overall customer was horrible and food was ok. The only thing good was the amount of food they give you is definitely share size.

Ordered a qt of chicken chop suoy. And got less because it was put in a bowl with rice I did not want. They turned it into a combination. Ordered egg drop soup and it was more like a tasteless congeal with egg strands. Ordered 2 combinations which they call combiation, supposed to have egg rolls with it. And ordered an extra set of egg rolls. Did not get the extra egg rolls.

This Burger King at 100 State Rd 60, Lake Wales, FL 33853 truly stood out from the rest! From the moment we stepped in, it was clear the team here takes pride in their work. The manager was an absolute expediting machine—double-checking every order with sharp focus and a commitment to quality assurance that’s rare to see in fast food. At one point, I overheard her tell a team member, “You know this is not the correct bun for this sandwich, and our customers are very intelligent—they might bring it back. If they do, it’s on you.” Without missing a beat, she turned and said, “Let’s redo this sandwich and ensure we’re following standards.” That right there says it all. Our sandwiches were made with precision—well-assembled, fresh, and exactly as ordered. The restaurant itself was spotless, including both the men’s and women’s restrooms. You could feel the difference in how the staff worked together. Great job to the entire team at this Lake Wales location for delivering a fast food experience that felt anything but average. Keep up the amazing work!

Every time we come through the drive thru the service is warm and welcoming. The workers are very polite and efficient during rushes. Sometimes the food could be warmer but we do usually come late and it’s a decent drive away. They’ve never gotten an order wrong and they always ask about condiments and offer me a crown because “I rule.”

The service here has gone down terribly, and so has the food over the years. The attitude of customer service comes across as if you owe them for doing their job. This is the second time I come within a month and the food is terrible. I noticed it ordering through the app. When I got home my sauce was opened. Not sure if it was tampered with? While eating the whopper I started feeling sick to my stomach. I didn’t eat it entirely. I have been sick all night, with pain in my stomach. I have decided as McDonald’s that Burger King is on my do not eat list. I hate doing this but twice in a month getting sick from it and the service was awful. I wonder if it has something to do because I ordered on line?

Went through the drive thru passing through Lake Wales. We were really impressed with the staff. Excellent service by friendly, upbeat people. I can only assume that the management at this location is doing something right. The food was excellent as well. Bravo!

Horrible Experience at Burger King I recently had a dreadful experience at the Burger King. The employee named Tyler was incredibly rude and unprofessional, especially towards a 2-year-old child. My family and I were the only ones inside the restaurant, and my little one was quietly playing near our table. Out of nowhere, Tyler confronted us, telling us that he didn't care if the baby was just playing. His tone was harsh and completely uncalled for. When I tried to address his attitude, he became even more confrontational and dismissive. It's beyond disappointing to see such behavior, especially towards a child. This experience has left a very bad impression, and I will never be returning to this Burger King. Zero stars! Avoid this place at all costs if you value decent customer service.

Great if you're looking for a no frills kind of meal! Service was great and food was in no way bad, just a bit expensive for what you get! I enjoyed the Cuban breakfast sandwich but would have enjoyed a fruit cup or something as a side for the 6.99 price! We will probably be back to try a few more meals!

We eat here at least once a week and more often, if able, in the last year. Their grill-cook is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to flavor and food quality. The menu choices are standard diner foods, but the feeling you get, when you eat the food is like a touch of love from grandma! All of the staff is wonderful, friendly and accommodating, here. My favorite breakfast dish is the biscuits & HOMEMADE gravy... But, you must order the biscuit, GRILLED! I promise you'll never want a "soft" biscuit, ever again! The homefries are to die for! They're perfect and it's rare to find a perfectly, crispy on the outside, potato cube with a delectable mashed potato consistency on the inside! YUM! They have coffee, tea, soda pops, juices & h2o. They're open Monday thru Friday, for BREAKFAST & LUNCH, SERVICE. They're definitely closed on Sunday. There is Wheel chair access; Restroom available;They have highchairs available. You can order for take away. There's a little immediate parking available, with more spaces for parallel parking on the roadway, of Central Ave., just west of Scenic HWY/17. The other attatched photo is of a Rueben sandwich: Crispy toasted rye bread, with the perfect portions of corned beef, sour kraut, and 1000 island dressing! It was served with your choice of potato chips or fries... these are crinkle-cut fries. My husband said the Rueben, was perfect and that he'd absolutely re-order and recommend it... the Rueben is on the paper menu, while the Country fried Steak meal, was a daily lunch special choice. The prices are totally reasonable. The portion sizes are very filling. And, you WILL want to box your left-overs & take them home, because this food is GREAT, even on the seconds! :-) ♡ ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 STARS, ALL THE WAY, FOR BILL'S CAFE! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The wait staff is exemplary. The cook can create the best country fried steak 🥩 and all of their offering are all homemade. Killer sausage gravy and the Cubans are great. We visit frequently several times a week. Thank you Mona and Dee for your first class service.

Few days ago had the loaded potato soup, it did not taste homemade, very thick. Husband had home fries think they were from a bag and deep fried, corn beef was not browned. Do not think will be back. Service was great got our food soon. Cute little place. Also need help with biscuits, that was worse biscuit ever

Went yesterday 4/13/2021 for breakfast. Our first time there. 24 hrs later I still can’t get over how perfect my eggs were. I’ve never seen an egg that perfect. Smooth and silky not runny at all. Just perfect. Potatoes were that great crispy yet soft and the biscuit. Omg the biscuit was so good. Roy you are perfection. Ramona our server was amazing. She gets you what you need and goes about her business and let’s you eat. Doesn’t come bother you 20 times while you’re eating to ask you how your food is. I hate it when they do that. All the way a five star. Now I can’t wait to try the lunch.

Sorry can't recommend this place. Ordered eggs over easy and well done bacon. Received over cooked eggs and partially raw bacon. No refund or an offer to recook my breakfast. Charged full price for this meal. Bad customer service! Never agsin. Go to burger king, it's better.

This establishment not only up charged me for cheese on a sandwich that already comes with cheese but didn’t even bother putting extra cheese on the sandwich. I asked for a McGriddle meal and they charged me individually for everything in my meal.

Guy that took my order was not paying attention. Initially couldn’t hear him then he got my order wrong 2x then - when I went to the next window - the lady says “you ordered a cheeseburger & a lemonade, right?” I said “no, just a medium, unsweetened iced tea & lemonade”. She says “well, he charged you for a cheeseburger”.? I said “thank you for catching that but I would like a credit & she gave me the overcharge amount back. Thankfully the mature lady at the pick up window spotted the mistake, questioned it & corrected it. Guy who took the order needs to do better & pay attention!

Service terrible! No one at counter. Had to use kiosk. Kiosk not user friendly. Had to push on screen very hard to navigate. After completing and taking number, waited to pay with cash. While waiting, several other customers walked to counter and finally someone arrived, took their order and served their food before me. Managers have sour looks on their faces and staff look confused. I will never return to this establishment.

If the manager of this McDonald's is looking at this please tell your employees to work better on making food for us because when i order fries it looks like a medium fry instead of a large fry even though it's in a large fry box because it's not enough fries to even look large even though it's in a large fry box, it's unacceptable and $6 were paid for it please tell your employees to do their job better or i will stop choosing to get food from here!

Both the young lady and young man working the drive through were fast and kind. The young lady patiently answered my questions [I haven't gotten fast food in over 3 yrs so I had questions ant the menu changes.. lol] I was in the drive through so I was trying to hurry but they were really kind and patient! Good job!

Long waits, and missing items is common for this night crew. Saying “we made it fresh for you” like that means something and then still missing items from my order is top tier comedy.

Very unique dining experience. Stopped in for lunch and was delightfully surprised. Onion rings are probably the best onion ring that had in the area by far. I felt the batter was just a tad bit salty for me, but others may like it that way. The hamburger was spectacular. I got this Brake burger which I think is the house burger because it’s named after the location. Washed everything down with a Mexican Coca-Cola. Highly recommend.

Came for the burgers - they have a slight twist on the usual burger styles and offerings so more variety to choose from. The crispy chicken sandwich was good. The beer pretzel burger was ok - the flavor of the toppings and beer cheese kinda got lost to be honest but the beef patty was tasty. My husband had the birria burger and said it was really good - too good to share unfortunately 🙄. The fried mushrooms were really good - the horseradish sauce was a delight. And the waffle fries are very good - nice and crispy. We sat outside in the beer garden, it looks really pretty when with the lights and seating. Ifbuou want and condiments, they are located inside. Theres a bar cart outside with a really good selection of beers, ales and seltzers - draft and cans available and fairly priced too. Would return for a different burger (maybe will finally get a taste of the birria) but the pizzas look super good too - again, have a twist on the usual menu offerings you find at other pizza shops so definitely gives something different and reason to visit!

Stopped here twice in two weeks. Food is hot a fresh and waffle fries are really crispy. Burgers are filling and some are unique and focused on the holiday. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking.

We stopped by to participate in Polk county burger 🍔 week. Pleasantly blown away. One of the best smash burgers ever! We savored every bite. The wings were nice. We will definitely be back and the drive from Winter Haven was worth it!

A great burger find in Lake Wales if you are looking for a great local burger place better than the chain ⛓️ gangs. I ordered the burger of the month called the High Octane Burger, with coffee rub seasoning, coffee BBQ sauce, coffee infused sauteed onions, apple wood bacon, and provolone cheese. The burger was awesome but could have used a little more coffee flavor, salt and pepper to bring out the flavors. The burger was served with waffle style cut fries, the portion of fries could have been a little more. A former gas station turned into a stylish burger location is a cool concept but could use some air circulation to keep from getting too hot in the enclosure. The prices are very reasonable for the quality food products. Thank you for bringing a better burger option into the Lake Wales area. I will most definitely be making more visits.

Excellent food. Ample seating. The service was awesome! The food is hot, fresh and made to order! The portions are perfect! The price was great! The taste was incredible. Their sauces are mouthwatering! I live an hour away, but I will definitely be back! I’m glad this is near bok tower gardens! Less than 15 minutes! Pictured is the Garlic Burger and waffle fries 14$ for the combo- I got waffle fries, coleslaw is a choice, and a drink. The inside is a bit loud as it has industrial open ceilings to the kitchen. I could eat comfortably, but I would highly recommend take out or noise canceling headphones for those with sound sensory issues specifically to the beeping of a fryer.

Unique restaurant. Converted garage into a restaurant. Friendly customer service. Brake burger: moist, whole leaf lettuce non-shredded and thick cut of tomato, juicy burger patty very well-seasoned. Delish! The bun tasted more like potato bun, soft and fresh. Onion rings- definitely homemade instead of frozen. Well seasoned battered onion rings. Delish. Nashville Chic sandwich- not that spicy but the chicken is moist even though the chicken piece is deep fried with spicy batter. Average taste. Could have been bigger piece for the price. The prices are bit higher than regular burger joint. Chic burger was $8.99. A lot cheaper elsewhere. Burger was averaging $8-$10 each. That's before anything. Combo are over $11!. I guess the restaurant garage would like to consider themselves upscale burger joint. Tasty but pricy. You make the decision if you wish to pay a bit more for the taste. We have been on the pizza journey through Winter Haven, Dundee, Lake Wales, Lake Alfred trying all the pizza joints. We hit this one a couple weeks ago in the Eagle Rdige mall. We had high hopes based on the exterior and beautiful display of pizzas. We ordered two salads and several pieces of pizza to give everything a fair try. Unfortunately, many things fell short for us. The salad, I ended up picking half of it out because it was brown, wilted or old. There were a fair amount of toppings on the salad but the lettuce was yuck! The pizza was again full of toppings but the base was not there. Barely any sauce and lacking flavor. It was just incredibly bland and disappointing. Much like the actual mall it is in. If you are going to eat there get it to go. The mall is trashed out, no ac, and smells like mold. Needless to say, we will not be adding this pizza stop into our rotation.

This is the BEST PIZZA IN FLORIDA!!! I have been here MULTIPLE times in the short month or two they have been open here in our little town and they have brought our food court/mall back to life!!! Tonight I was headed back from cheer with my kids and they wanted pizza. Mall is closed but NOT SOLORZANOS!!! I called and Jay picked up right away! At 8:40pm happy to take my order and he had it out and fresh asap!!! The food court doors stay open on the right so you can still get access to the great pizza. We also got some desserts you have GOTTA try the cannolis!!! So good! We ordered the Lambo Pizza and added pepperoni and let me tell ya I swear it’s better and better every time I come and every time I just can’t believe it! Can’t wait to come back and try some of the pasta and salads I’m just so stuck in this great pizza!!!! 🍕 ☺️

An amazing place! Service is great, employee was on the floor cleaning along with other things. We had 2 slices, Cheese Regular y Hoboken Heart Attack, they were amazing and practically no wait. Currently waiting for a calzone and garlic knots, I know it's gonna be awesome. On top of that, it's fresh as well. Clean, good food, good service. Much love 🔥

I have been to many pizza shops in the area and not only are they the cleanest but they are the tastiest and best all around. Alexis always treats us amazing . He always has a smile on his face and gives great customer service. The owner pops in from time to time which is great to see . He Custom made my mom a great cannoli fresh in the back. Taste like Jersey !!! Only pizza to eat in the area!

I’ve been a fan of this pizza place for a while, but after my last experience, I won’t return. I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza for pickup and arrived 50 minutes later, but the order wasn’t ready. After waiting another 20 minutes, I peeked into the box to ensure everything looked right. When I got home and opened it fully, I saw that only half was the pizza I ordered. The other half was BBQ chicken, as if they had thrown two leftover halves together. I tried calling the restaurant to get it fixed, but nobody answered. I contacted Slice (the app I ordered through), and while they contacted the owner, the owner refused to correct the mistake. Considering their expensive and time-consuming pizzas (50 minutes plus), this was extremely disappointing and felt like a waste. The food might be good when done right, but the poor service and lack of accountability make it impossible to recommend.

VERY thankful for the free cheese pizza I received! It was very good! Hard NO though on the $9 greek salad! In my opinion, its a bit overpriced for a small salad and I sure missed my feta cheese and black olive fix! We'll be back, no doubt, but just for the pizza! I'll go to the Greek to get my salad when I need my "fix"

Since opening, I have come here regularly for a slice of home. Great NJ pizza in Polk county. Superior pies, amazing service and a wide range of desserts to try.

I ordered the vegetable egg foo young and it was perfect. I always order it here. I also got the vegetable spring rolls and the chicken sticks. Everything was fresh and wonderful. I used to go elsewhere but discovered this place and cannot stay away. The folks who run things are so pleasant. It is a nice and clean place to go where you can feel confident everything is fixed well. I love it here!

Was super disappointed… My Mongolian beef looked like it was mop water, my sons vegetable lo mein smelled like old shellfish, and my husbands meal didn’t come with an egg roll.. This dinner made me want my money back…

I love the Chinese food a lot. Main things of Chinese food is that they are cooked. Lots of fast food we eat regularly is fried or half cooked or microwaved. So fully cooked food is also a good for our health. When ever I get a chance I go to the WOK and eat. My main choice is veg low mein. There is a lots of variety in Chinese food. I have added the menu also you can choose what you like and see the price also . Price is also a great factor of this restaurant. Let’s talk about the quantity of food in WOK . If you order half or small size it’s is enough for one person if you ordered full or big that’s is enough for two. In this price you get that much of food 🥘. It’s is really great deal. And service is also as fast as others fast food restaurant. And this restaurant also serves a family dinner also for 2 or 3 people. For price and what included please see the photo I have added. I ordered lomaine and pork fried rice which tasted like fish and we couldnt eat it i also ordered a second time and $30 down the drain. Its horrible The soup taste like oil...cooking oil i couldnt drink it. The noodles were soggy and dark brown ans soupy. I am beyond upset and too far to drive back.. I recommend Chinese food from china garden near walmart.. The best in the area I am very disappointed

Flavors were not what I would normally expect for the items I ordered. Wonton soup was fishy, egg roll was very mushy and general tso’s was bitter

Update. Found big difference in delivery and pick up. The quality is much better if you pick it up in person. Today I had fried rice and egg roll. This is 2nd time visiting. The egg roll were much better and the fried rice was good lots of flavor

The food is good, however, making phone contact can be difficult. You get voicemail telling you to order online. Prices increase with society, of course. I was disappointed with the pineapple upside down cake. It turned out to be a muffin with a cherry and a little pineapple. That aside the food is good.

The food wasn't for me.. but the service is great and there is always a friendly face or two while you catch a break. They serve a Carolina style pulled pork, you can sit at picnic tables or even have a family picnic on the sloped grassy lawn. Mature oaks and Spanish moss, clear blue skies and it works for a family weekend or a quick respite from the busy unrelenting work week.

My family and I went there by recommendation by a neighbor it was everything they said. Awesome, Delicious, Courteous, the price we great. The owner mr. Carter was so nice and staff also the menu was so southern everything that I've been looking for they had it and some. First time there it won't be our last can't wait to go back. Delicious food and quick service. The menu has a lot of variety. I had the 2 mean combo shrimp and chopped beef. Both were good, I liked the shrimp the most. You get about 4 pieces on the combo. Bought 2 combos and 2 appetizers for about $28.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and ordered the family special that included a full rack of ribs, 3 sides and 4 slices of bread. Ribs had zero seasonings. Sides were approximately 1/2 cup size servings and bland. Definitely not enough to share with a family and the only bread we got was a couple of small pieces of corn bread that was included on side order of collards. The only thing special about the family special was that young lady who took our order was very pleasant.

Disappointed. We were expecting tender, fall-off-the-bone, delicious ribs. Instead, they were dry and chewy. It reminded us of "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation", the overdone turkey scene. We ordered the whole slab with one side and they forgot to put the side in the bag, because when we arrived home it wasn't in the bag. Will we visit there again? Probably. I always believe in giving a second chance.

My boyfriend and I arrived just before closing time and was served with a friendly smile. Great customer service. Ordered ribs and pulled pork dinner. Got collard greens, black eyed peas, coleslaw and cornbread. The food was delicious. Cooked to perfection. Hot and fast. The sweet and spicy hot sauce was awesome! The cornbread was light and fluffy. Everything we ordered was so yummy! We will be back soon! Thank you for a wonderful treat!
