The Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers is a 21-acre property that showcases the former homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, along with a research lab, botanical gardens, and a museum. The estate pays tribute to the inventive genius of these two American icons. Visitors can explore three homes, two caretaker cottages, and a laboratory containing original gadgets used by Edison. The museum displays many of his inventions as well as historic photographs and memorabilia.
The Edison and Ford Winter Estates have been a special place for me since I was young. Visiting here has always felt like stepping into a space where time slows down and creativity lingers in the air. Now, I feel incredibly grateful to bring my own children and share with them the sense of wonder and possibility that lives here. There’s something powerful about walking the same grounds where just one conversation and one idea sparked so much innovation and progress. It’s a reminder that big change often starts small—with curiosity, connection, and vision. The historians are always so knowledgeable, and the staff is kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about keeping this place alive and meaningful. They bring the stories to life in such a thoughtful way, which adds so much depth to the experience. It’s also a wonderful place to bring children—a perfect blend of education and inspiration. Whether it’s seeing the old labs, learning about inventions, or simply soaking in the natural beauty, this space has a way of sparking their curiosity and showing them how imagination and persistence can lead to real-world impact. The preserved gardens and grounds are breathtaking, filled with a natural wonder that surely played a part in inspiring the minds who once walked there. This is more than just a visit—it’s a moment of connection to history, nature, and the limitless possibilities of a good idea.

Beautiful place to visit. The grounds are just gorgeous. I enjoyed the museum portion the most. There were old cars, lots of history information, inventions, so much to see and read about! I love seeing the miniature of the laboratory and then the laboratory itself. I wish we were able to actually walk through the homes as you could only look through the doorways/windows, but it was still very neat to see the history there.
Michelle R — Google review
This is a great place to visit and educate you about some history. The place is well kept and clean. Not so crowded so you can walk easily around the premises. There's clean bathrooms and a souvenir shop with cute items to purchase. The young woman at the ticket information was extremely helpful, she was so charming and courteous and professional. She answered our questions with a smile, when we return again to purchase tickets I will update her name. We were just visiting at this time, so you can freely walk around the buildings and shop if you like.

We had a great time at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates! It was just me and my fiancée on the guided tour — we were the only two people there, which made it feel really personal. The guide was super friendly and knowledgeable, even though it was funny that she still used a megaphone for just the two of us! Overall, it was a great experience — beautiful property, rich history, and definitely worth visiting.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers is an absolute gem! Wandering through the beautifully preserved winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, amid lush botanical gardens and manicured grounds, was both inspiring and peaceful. The gardens are stunning, the history is rich and well-communicated, and the museum adds depth and context. Truly a must-visit if you love history, innovation or simply a gorgeous place to explore.
David ( — Google review
This was our third visit to Edison & Ford Estates, and it never disappoints. I would suggest visiting the museum first to get more of the background story before walking the grounds. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. They are so well-kept. My favorite thing about the grounds is that so many trees and plants are labeled with their names and information. That alone is worth the visit if you are interested in that type of thing.

Did the self guided tour so we could walk and look at our speed! Tour group was just ahead of us a little. Learned a lot and great stuff to see

We’ve been here a couple times but most recently for the fall fest. Despite the road construction going on around the area everything was very well organized. Lots of craft vendors food trucks and activities. We loved the pumpkin patch, and the flower cart was a wonderful addition to that. The estates themselves are wonderful to walk-through and view. It’s such a blast from the past but so well maintained. I highly recommend coming here, especially when they do the Christmas decorations. It’s even more festive at that time!

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve is a 3,500-acre park in Fort Myers, offering a diverse wetland habitat for wildlife enthusiasts. The area serves as a corridor for various animals such as bears and panthers, although spotting them is rare. Visitors can expect to see alligators, egrets, woodpeckers, herons, and turtles while strolling along the well-maintained boardwalk. Once heavily logged for cypress trees, the preserve was protected thanks to student activism.
Saw an alligator, giving it an automatic 5! Besides the gator, this was a fabulous boardwalk. There were lots of plants and wildlife. The trail was well maintained. We missed visiting the interpretive center by 5 minutes. Would've liked to see in there. Parking was $1 an hour.

Beautiful stop for lunch and a quick lap around the park. It was peaceful and relaxing. The park ranger working was very nice and informative. He even gave my 8 year olds a couple sharks teeth. A good stop if you're looking to kill a couple hours. There are picnic tables and grills and Publix is across the street. It is dog friendly and the water fountain has a fountain for dogs with cold water. Park, including restrooms are clean and well maintained. Will definitely bring my kids back as they really love the outdoors.
Megan — Google review
Always love this boardwalk and wildlife experience. Let me start by thanking Trashman William who we were fortunate enough to meet on the boardwalk. A great Six Mile Cypress Slough volunteer and knowledgeable person. Even though we once lived in Ft Myers and visited this park often we learned more great things from William. We made this side stop on a return trip from Everglades NP, Big Cypress NP and a visit that morning at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. There's always something special about Six Mile Cypress Slough and definitely a highlight of our 3 day trip around South Fl. Thanks to William it was a reminder of just how special this place is. Looking forward to returning one day. Thanks again from the St Pete and Sarasota visitors.

I absolutely love the slough. I have been coming here for 20+ years. My dad use to take me and my siblings here all the time. The boardwalk is in great shape and you see so many animals. I now take my kids here all the time. I can’t say enough about this place. If you’re into nature and animals it’s so peaceful. It truly represents Southwest Florida and all the beauty that surrounds us. We saw so many wonderful animals and trees today. I would highly recommend visiting the slough anytime you are in the area. The last time I was here was about a month ago. We decided to make a pit stop in our errand running for the day. This place never disappoints.

A really nice nature trail that is very inexpensive! You only have to pay for parking which is roughly 1$ per hour. Then you can take the 1.5 mile wooden trail through the woods. There you can see a lot of exciting wildlife like birds, squirrels, turtles and much more. Along the trail are nicely positioned outposts where you can either have a view of a lake or a wildlife hanging spot. There is a free restroom to use and most of the time there is a guide at the entrance to help you with any questions you might have. All in all a very exciting trail that you should definitely check out.
Marc M — Google review
This place is beautiful. The boardwalk is in great condition. There's lots of walking, and if you take your time you could spend several hours here easily. We didn't see as much wildlife as we had hoped, however I'm sure it is around. This is a place we'd definitely return to.
Just J — Google review
We took a late afternoon walk through Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, and it was a great way to connect with nature—even in the Florida heat. Thankfully, there's a convenient water station at the welcome center where you can refill your water bottle or take a good gulp before starting your walk. I definitely recommend bringing your own bottle along! The welcome center itself is a nice little stop. Inside, there’s a small exhibit to explore and a gift shop that seemed to have lots of fun items, especially for kids. You can also grab a boardwalk trail guide there, which helps you navigate and learn more about the preserve. Entry is free, but there is a small fee for parking. We opted for the shorter boardwalk loop, though there’s also a longer route for those looking for a bit more adventure. The boardwalk trail takes you through lush cypress wetlands, and you’re surrounded by nature every step of the way. The ponds were full of life—birds, turtles, and other wildlife were easy to spot if you slowed down and looked around. Despite the warmth, the towering cypress trees provided plenty of shade, making the walk comfortable and relaxing. Whether you're a nature lover or just looking for something fun and peaceful to do, I’d absolutely recommend checking out Six Mile Cypress. It’s a hidden gem worth visiting!
Victoria S — Google review
Awesome preserve/trail. Did not see any “exciting”wildlife other than a few birds and turtles, but still a great experience. We were there on a weekend between 4-6pm. Parking was a few dollars for 2 hours.

Nature & Parks
Manatee Park is a waterfront park in Fort Myers that offers trails, an amphitheater, and kayak rentals. It's a great spot to see families of manatees swimming up a tributary between December and February. The park provides up-close views of these jumbo creatures and is especially popular during the cooler months. Additionally, visitors can explore the Six-Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, which features a 1.
This was a GREAT experience! Park for $5, reserved out kayaks online and followed the signs to the tour desk. Gentleman manning the desk checked us in, showed us a map, was friendly and accommodating to our group of 7. Then we walked down to 2 galas who helped us get in our kayaks—friendly, informative, and really great getting us settled. Off we went to kayak the river and enjoy the day! We got an 11am reservation, saw some manatees, but my parents have been here before and suggested to go at the early time slot—we couldn’t get the teenagers up🤪. When we unloaded the gals in the water were more than helpful and friendly again. Great experience, we will be back!
Krystal W — Google review
Beautiful space to walk and learn about wild life, explore and learn from locals! Gift shop was cute! Easy and low cost parking ($2 an hour via parking meter), bathrooms were accessible. It was very clear on website there were no recent manatee sightings due to the time of year and weather so it was confusing why some families were so disappointed about not seeing any. This is a wildlife park and there are no captive animals here, that doesn't take away from the natural beauty and also spotting tiny lizards, butterflies and enjoying the water! Many benches and picnic tables available!
Sara G — Google review
Have been here 2 times now (Dec 2020 and Nov 2025). You only have to pay for parking ($1 an hour or $5 for the whole day). During the two visits we did see manatees since it was chillier. This is a NON-CAPTIVE warm water refuge. Meaning you are not guaranteed to see manatees and your odds are significantly higher in the colder months. It’s walk friendly (flat with many walkways) and has multiple viewing areas. There is a gift shop on site that had a good selection of souvenirs. If you are just there to view for a little and stop at the gift shop, will probably be about 1 hour. Dec 2020 went kayaking and highly recommend!
Aly F — Google review
It was such a beautiful park. We were hoping to see Manatees but we only had an hour to spare before our flight. The nature walk was so beautiful and relaxing!
Heather D — Google review
Always a favorite place of ours to stop at. Although there were no Manatees here today, it is an awesome park to stroll through and take in all that it has to offer. When you hit the timing right, the Manatees are everywhere! Nice little boardwalk that takes you out and onto the River. Plenty of parking and a small 2$ fee to stay per hour.
Randy M — Google review
Such a beautiful place to sit by and look at the water. My son and I come here when it's cold- because the manatees are attracted to the heat from the power plant across the way, so they migrate there for warmth. I highly suggest stopping by and supporting your local parks!
V. G — Google review
It's a great spot to visit. Walking paths, Native Florida plant gardens, Manatee Viewing ( more so in the colder weather) Kayak rentals, and drop in ramp for personal craft, playground, wildlife, gift store, on-site restrooms. Paid parking... This will always be a special spot to visit. It's not a huge park, but it makes good use of space... plenty of shade and spots to sit and enjoy nature. Can be very busy during season. Great spot for family gatherings, and birthday parties. Don't step off the kayak dock... I thought I was stepping into a foot and half of water and ended up waste deep due to leaf litter.. shocking and funny at the same time. Definitely recommend !
Dianne S — Google review
We came to kayak this time. We have been there in January before and there were literally thousands of manatees. This time, in November, it was quiet. They need to clean up the mangroves between the launch and the orange river…we almost didn’t make it through (we found a tiny opening just big enough for the kayak while ducking under branches). Beautiful day. Great place to kayak. We have kayaked with the manatees in Jan/Feb and I highly recommend it! They are so playful.

Located on Florida's Gulf Coast, the River District in Historic Downtown Fort Myers is a charming waterfront area that has recently undergone revitalization. This culture and history-rich neighborhood offers a walkable, riverside experience with a mix of commercial and residential spaces. The district boasts historic appeal with its brick-paved streets lined with lively bars, boutique shops, and exceptional restaurants. It is home to numerous historic structures dating back to the early 1900s.
The River District is one of the best places for great food and entertainment. So many eating options and a perfect place to head when there are holidays or celebrations. July 4th celebration was excellent with the Venice Jazz Symphony. Best restaurants are Fords (Salmon), Firestone. Best pizza in Fort Myers is Downtown House of Pizza. Best clubs/bars is SoHo (Social House) and Space 39. Enjoy!

Friday night (8/18/23) was fabulous. All the different restaurants to choose from. Streets were closed for entertainment. Love school of rock those kids were phenomenal. The Elvis, jazz player, 80 music & so much more were also entertaining. Was great walking around & exploring.
Laura M — Google review
Definitely a great area to explore! Great for shopping and discovering very cool boutiques, activities (calusa planetarium, butterfly estates, coastal Dayz & millenial microbreweries...) lots of delicious restaurants to eat out at like Capone's or Ford Garage, also great for having some drinks as there are bars everywhere, the social house called Soho by the locals is very popular, great place! It's also great for partying in the evening, lots of bars and clubs, and if you simply want a cocktail with a great view of the Caloosahatchee river at sunset there are plenty of places such as the firestone skybar & the luminary hotel bar. There is Art night every first Friday of every month and also music night(live music) every third friday of every month, and it's all on first street and around it! Have fun!

The IMAG History & Science Center in Fort Myers, Florida is an interactive educational museum suitable for all ages. With over 60 exhibits, visitors can explore technology, physics, weather and other science topics. The museum also features an aquarium with marine life such as stingrays and a USS Mohawk artificial reef tank. Additionally, there are touch tanks, an Animal Lab with live critters like tarantulas and pythons, and outdoor activities including feeding fish and swans in the lagoon.
Super fun way to spend an afternoon out of the sun when visiting fort Meyers Beach. Between the extreme UV index and the occasional afternoon storms we needed something to keep the 9 and 10 year old busy, that would also be appropriate for the 11 week old baby. This was a mega win. The 15 year old also enjoyed the exhibits, especially the sting ray tank. The 3D shows were nice also, for sitting and relaxing for 23 minutes.

This place is really great. The exhibits are very engaging and often interactive and the rhe staff are great. There's lots to explore and it would be easy to spend a half day at this place. We loved the 3D movie about blue whales in particular.

The IMAG Center in Fort Myers is a great spot for kids to learn about science and animals in a fun, hands-on way. While there aren’t a ton of activities, I highly recommend following the scheduled tours listed in the pamphlet they really enhance the experience. Great educational outing!

We’ve visited several times and always enjoyed the variety of indoor and outdoor activities. On our most recent visit, though, several attractions were closed or out of order, with no signs posted and no discount offered for the inconvenience. Some areas are also showing wear, like the foam blocks and faded water boats, which could use updating. Still a fun place overall, but we’ll likely wait to return until more of the attractions are updated, repaired or replaced.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the IMAG History & Science Museum, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the diverse and interactive exhibits. It's truly a place where history and science come alive for all ages. The museum strikes a perfect balance between educational content and hands-on fun. We particularly loved the marine touch tank, where you can get up close with local sea life. The animal area was also a highlight, getting to be upclosewith so many amazing, and many adorable creatures was our favoritepart! Plus we got to play with a few of the snakes and even held the bearded dragon😍. My kids were completely enthralled, and honestly, so was I! What truly makes IMAG stand out is the passion of the staff. They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to share their love of the museum's subjects. Their enthusiasm made our visit even more special and personal. Whether you're a family looking for a fun and educational outing, a couple on a date, or just someone curious about the world around you, IMAG is a must-visit. It's a hidden gem that offers a fantastic experience for everyone. We can't wait to go back and explore more!

The venue's stunning waterfront location, adorned with festive palm trees and twinkling lights, creates an enchanting atmosphere. While I eagerly anticipate the show, I must first commend the exceptional customer service I received from Desiree at the box office. Her festive attire and radiant smile instantly uplifted my spirits. Desiree's helpful seating recommendations and warm, attentive demeanor made me feel truly special. First time here. Attended candle light string quartet performance of Cold Play music. Relatively small auditorium but seats were comfortable. Lobby was almost too small for the line waiting to buy wine or snacks. Too far for me to attend frequently but they have a nice lineup of Broadway shows.

This was an awesome performance at an incredible Theater! The musicians were top notch! The musicians clearly loved performing, and their passion was matched by our appreciation for their music. We would definitely go back to the Theater which had had great acoustics ! We would without a doubt go and see the String Quartet again! Great musicians ! Thank-you to everyone involved in putting on this performance tonight!

What a great find!! My kids ages 3-9 visited and we saw and learned about so many new creatures. Nice nature walk and friendly staff. They even had a little terrarium for a jumping spider! The kids truly enjoyed that they could touch a lot of things like snake skins, shells of many different kinds, manatee teeth, turtle shells. Areas for kids to play with puzzles and toys and microscopes too! The planetarium was also very neat and my kids enjoyed the show about the solar system and brains! I definitely used this as my homeschool education! So much to learn and sad we don't live closer!

I was actually pretty disappointed in this nature center. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it definitely needs help. I understand that they are still being repaired after the hurricane. There were unused exhibit spaces, and things on display without any information. The Calusa section on the indigenous folks of the area seemed really slapped together. I loved seeing the birds of prey, but really wished they had more information on them. Like their story? Why are they there? The butterfly exhibit was sad. There were like 5 butterflies. And surprised they didn’t have double doors to help reduce escapees. Information was quite scarce everywhere, tbh. It was unfortunate that I was there during a yearly maintenance time when the big trail loop was closed for fire suppression practices. I went late morning on a Friday and just got there in time for a school field trip to be leaving.

This gem of natural science and planetarium is a great visit for kids and adults. Inside tha main building, one finds several live and stuffed animals with live turtles, baby owls, Baby alligators and several stuffed deer, and others. We enjoyed seeing live snakes. The outdoor butterfly garden offered several butterflies and native plants. The center offers 2 trails, one of 0.3 miles and another over a mile. We didn't see the one big outdoor alligator today The planetarium offers 2 shows daily and 3 on Sunday. The enthusiast young man in the planetarium offered a tour of all the exhibits. The outdoor trail is a nice walk except on hot summer days. Accessible restrooms in main building and planetarium. Accessible van parking in free parking lot with shells on ground and ramps to enter

If you have a rainy weekend and are looking for something to do, the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium is an inexpensive and enjoyable visit where the kids might even learn a little something. The newly renovated Planetarium has super comfortable seating and the new projection system is truly remarkable. In between Planetarium shows they offer animal experience shows where the kids can get up close and personal with anything from a turtle, snake, or even a baby gator. The rustic trails are short but can provide some quiet time in between programs. Pretty easy to spend the day.. they don't offer any food, but there is a large covered area with plenty of tables for sack lunches or snack time. Always enjoyable.

Visited on a Saturday. The parking lot was full, but once inside it didn’t feel crowded. Everyone was spread out on the premises which made it really comfortable to navigate the grounds. The staff was friendly and informative. Admission was $13 for adults and $7 for kids. The nature center had a nice variety of animals. The scheduled events added to the experience. We caught a talk on snakes and alligators and also saw a show in the Planetarium. There are several trails to walk, a butterfly garden and plenty of outdoor rest areas with benches and tables. Overall, a nice experience.

This was absolutely amazing and so much fun! It's such a learning experience here for me! I loved it thanks guys for letting me come to your spectacular place!

Really nice spot to spend a few hours learning and exploring. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and you can tell they care about the animals and the place itself. The planetarium show was fun and educational great for both kids and adults. The trails were peaceful and not too long, and we enjoyed seeing the rescued birds and reptiles up close. Some areas could use a little updating, but overall it’s a great local gem worth checking out if you’re in Fort Myers.

Everyone was friendly and helpful answering any questions. They were doing a class on animals such as Alligators, etc.. They also had a Planetarium show, but we were leaving before it started.

The Butterfly Estates, a non-profit organization established in 2009, is home to a stunning glass conservatory filled with various species of butterflies. This enchanting venue boasts a small waterfall and lush greens scattered throughout. Visitors can explore the grounds or visit the Nature Interpretive Center to learn about the fascinating life processes of butterflies, from egg to caterpillar to metamorphosis.
The Butterfly Estates is really awesome. I love that it is a non-profit organization. When you walk in, you can see different stages of chrysalis. The gal working the front desk was very informative and showed us tiny eggs that she extracted from the leaves. We then got to walk around and see all of the butterflies. There were at least 3 turtles in a pond as well as Koi fish. It was very peaceful inside. We even saw 2 butterflies mating. It is humid inside, so I do suggest wearing cooler clothing for an optimal experience. There are senior, student, and children discounts available. Otherwise, it is $10.00 per entry. If you live in the area or are just visiting, I recommend checking it out. It was so awesome!

Very soothing place to be in the moment. The staff was very knowledgeable and passionate. Loved all the butterflies among the lush gardens! Nice small waterfall with koi fish in pond. Relaxing time sitting on bench with butterflies all around even landing on me. Music was stress relieving. Will go back!

Such a cute place to visit. Requires a small entrance fee. Very calm ambiance walking around with gentle music playing and sounds of water running (can't really hear cars on nearby roads). If come in early spring can see some caterpillars and some chrysalis by the entrance. There are a variety of butterflies and plants plus some fish in the pond. Also you can sit in little corners of the enclosed space.

We went to the butterfly estates about a week ago and had a decent experience. It’s very small but was a nice place to enjoy the butterflies. We looked at the shop which was nice and we also went into the cafe. We made our rounds through the art gallery as well. I really like the fact that it’s all local artist and the money goes back to them. Would recommend anyone to visit.

Lovely experience while visiting fort myers. You get to see the whole butterfly lifecycle and walk around the beautiful greenhouse. The staff are so friendly and informative. They can teach you how to plant your own butterfly garden and how to help wild butterflies.
Melissa M — Google review
A nice quick stroll though a butterfly house. The guide was informative and gave a lot of details. The trip will be short 30 or so minutes. The house is steamy as the butterflies like it around 86 degrees. They have a quick gift shop to look through as well.

Couldn't recommend this place enough, it's so beautiful, peaceful, and informative. I learned more about butterflies and their struggle existing on our planet here more than I have anywhere else. I came here on my birthday with my mom and it really was a truly precious memory. The garden is so serene, it's the best place to come to when you just want to relax for a while and unwind.
Pamela V — Google review
Absolutely beautiful butterfly garden. It’s not a massive space but a place to relax and enjoy the multiple varieties of butterflies flying all around you. They also show some of the hatchery and you can see the full butterfly lifecycle from egg to caterpillar to chrysalis to adult. Admission goes to a great cause to support the nonprofit.

JetBlue Park, also known as Fenway South, is a stylish baseball park located in the area. It serves as the spring training grounds for the Boston Red Sox team and hosts amateur league baseball games. The park opened in 2012 and features many characteristics inspired by Boston's Fenway Park, including a replica Green Monster seating area and a manual scoreboard. Visitors can experience the excitement of watching the Red Sox train and scrimmage during spring training in March.
Really enjoyed seeing the Savanah Bananas play here on Valentine's day! The park is beautiful! The lights are perfect! The food( a little pricey) absolutely delicious. Easy access to everything! Leaving is not too bad either!

This review is for the ball fields behind the stadium. We played a travel team tournament here. They have a concession stand and the bleachers are covered which is nice. The fields are grass and are really nice. A little bit of a walk from the parking area. The bathrooms could have been cleaner.
Hawkin 5 — Google review
Fenway South's jetBlue Park was filled with baseball fans having a great time. Smiles on every face. It begins with incredibly well organized and plentiful parking (thank you police and senior volunteers!) on golf course quality grass, to the complimentary golf cart rides to the entrance, friendly greeters and security, attentive concessions and merch clerks, and follows through to tireless and omnipresent vendors. Heck I'll even shout out to the kids who change the score board with the ladder! This ballpark exemplifies the best because its people make it the best. The vibe is pure Americana good times. Everyone is giving for the fans, even the players on the field. No sightlines can be criticized. The aisle and row space is plentiful. Way finding makes it difficult to get lost. Everything is a quick walk from your seat. Food quality and portions largely compete with anything you'll get in a big city ballpark perhaps at nearly half the price. (Maybe my imagination is running away with me). Pizza, dogs, sausage, burgers chicken fingers, fries all of it looked delicious. The game pace was zippy thanks to the MLB clocks. The presentation was on point with just enough signage to keep you focused on the action while keeping up. We haven't been to a baseball game in years. Our experience at jetBlue Park here in Fort Myers would have us coming back again and again. PS the Red Sox fans were super welcoming and friendly too!
Ray B — Google review
JetBlue Park at Fenway South I came here for a Luke Bryan concert and left wondering if I should just move in and live behind the outfield wall. This place is GORGEOUS — like someone said, “What if we made Fenway but gave it palm trees and vibes?” Mission accomplished. The stadium is clean, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere? Chef’s kiss. Luke Bryan had the whole place dancing like it was country Coachella, and now I’m plotting my return during Red Sox Spring Training — because nothing says "baseball season" like sunscreen, overpriced hot dogs, and yelling “Let’s go, Sox!” under the Florida sun. If you like baseball, music, or just pretending you're in a country music video with a beer in your hand, JetBlue Park delivers. Can’t wait to come back next spring. Maybe I’ll even learn all the words to “Sweet Caroline” this time.
The 1 — Google review
JetBlue Park is set up nicely. Parking seemed to go smoothly both getting there and leaving. Ticket prices are comparable to what you think entertainment like a Red Sox game would cost. A little high in my opinion but overall a great experience. We will come visit the Red Sox again….and I’ll bring the sunscreen next time!

We are in the market for a new RV and we went to the Ft. Myers RV Show. We saw a huge selection of top-name new and used adventure vans and motorhomes. The Airstream is one that we are considering to purchase, beautifully designed and built but a bit pricey. Another brand that we are considering is the InTech but unfortunately we didn’t get to see it. Overall it was a great experience and we enjoyed our day. If you’re looking for an RV this is a great opportunity to see a large selection of options available for sale. We will be back in the upcoming RV show next year. 😊 080725

NO RESTROOMS IN THE GROUND!! NO RUNNING WATER ANYWHERE TO WASH YOUR HANDS🤯. It’s so sick because there is food here!! So where do employees wash their hands after using portable toilets?? You pay $10.00 parking and $12.00 admission entry. So they can afford portable sinks to wash hands. Never again will we return. 2025 Fair no good.

Our third trip to this park in the last 5 years. We just love it! Very family friendly, easy/free parking, easy walk to the park, plenty of handicap parking, great seats, and the kids were able to get an autograph while the pitchers were warming up. The Maine lobster roll was $40, so my husband bought me a half roll for $20 because he thought I would freak about the price. He was right! Delicious hotdogs and French fries, we loved the frozen lemonade, very friendly staff, and clean bathrooms.

Nestled in the heart of Fort Myers, Burroughs Home and Gardens is a magnificent example of Georgian Revival architecture that transports visitors back to the early 20th century. This historic estate, once home to the affluent Burroughs family on Millionaires Row, offers guided tours showcasing its antique furnishings and personal artifacts that narrate their fascinating story. Among its intriguing exhibits are photographs and a letter from Thomas Edison discussing smoking's dangers—an unexpected gem for history buffs.
My wedding here was a DREAM!!! The BEST venue in downtown Fort Myers hands down. Melissa was my wedding planner and she was amazing! From start to finish my experience with this venue and the wedding coordinator was incredible! 💖💖💖

This is a very pretty outdoor venue. Unfortunately the traffic on the bridge can get a bit noisy. We did not get o side the main house as it was an outdoor wedding. Parking is across the street and about a block walk to the venue. The river view is amazing. The pavilion for the reception was nice and in cooler weather it would be more open on all sides for a better view

Attended a 2-day conference here in early September. It turns out that their conference center is OUTSIDE. Yes, you guessed it, that translated into 8 hours of heat, humidity, rain, noisy distracting paddle fans, noisy traffic from the four-lane highway beside the conference center and two-lane road in front of the building, poor audio and no coffee. Finally the event manager changed the venue for day 2. If you want a tour of a beautiful old Florida house then go for it. If you're planning a conference for your team forget it!

Great stadium, decent game. Food is expensive, but hey when you're at a baseball game on vacation there's nothing better or more American than a hot dog and soda at a baseball game! Great experience all around! Awesome friendly staff!! One of them even gave my youngest a baseball!!

Very disappointed in our experience at tonight’s game 3/20/21. Tried to get tickets online many times before our vacation. No tickets available. Best fleamarket in the area. A must visit if you love bargain hunting. From the putside it looks a little intimidating with barbed wire fending, but it was safe and fun. All of the vendors are very friendly. It was very hot the day we went (heat index of 105) and it was tolerable to walk around because they have large open spaces and fans everywhere. We went on a Friday and a lot of vendors were closed, but still enough to be enjoyable. It was not crowded at all. Will definitely return on future visits to Fort Myers.

Christal D — Google review
This is s nice facility to see shows. We went and saw The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight on 10/21/25. The show was great. However, to get a beverage before the show starts requires you to arrive at least an half an hour before the show begins if not earlier. The parking is hood and it doesn’t really take too long to get out of the parking lot after a show ends. I would have given a five star, but I would have liked to have a drink before the show starts!

BRING A JACKET! The hall is wonderful, staff is gracious and helpful, parking is great and the shows are all well worth attendance. However, on 10/20/25 my dear wife and I attend a Ryan Bingham concert. Ryan and the band were great - however, I only wore a short-sleeved shirt (if is Florida) and the hall air conditioning was unforgivingly cold as many around us commented. We noticed the staff all had multiple layers and kept moving around - apparently they knew what to expect. Half way through Ryan's last set I was ready to leave but simply kept hugging myself until the last song and then dragged the wife out and into the warm air. Thankfully my wife had a hoodie and could enjoy the show - I could not.

I see a decline in the BBM theatre it has become obsolete due to its massive size. Like the Edison Mall, it has seen better days. The shows have declined in quality example the Rob Stewart imitator. The sound quality was off and his voice (not due to equipment issues) faded off and on during the songs. The man wasn’t up to standards. The theater is too big making many seats awful unless it’s a musical concert where seeing the stage performers isn’t critical. They tried to make it as large as they could to get the most money. So it has great seats and awful seats as a result. I discovered smaller venues that put the audience right there with the actors and even the rear seats are still good seats for viewing plays etc. There’s one on Mc Greggor and another on San Carlos Blvd. on the way to Fort Myers Beach. I think the ideal “large” theater size is the theater in Naples (the Naples Players ). I saw Man of La Mancha there (an outstanding performance) and every seat was worth the cost of the seat/section.

The Murder Mystery Dinner Train is a one-of-a-kind dinner-theater attraction that offers a 5-course American meal and a comic mystery on a retro train ride. Unlike most tourist attractions, this experience stands out as truly unique and has gained popularity among those seeking something different. The staged murder mystery and dinner take place during a 40-mile train journey starting and ending at Colonial Station in Fort Myers.
Me and the wife had the pleasure of riding the murder mystery train on 8/2/25. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The actors for the show are pretty funny and get you involved with the show. The food was real good. I had the Orange glazed Salmon with green beans and rice. It was real tasty. My wife had the Chicken dinner with green beans and rice. She said the chicken was tender and very good. The train ride is cool as the train does some rocking back and forth. The other customers that were riding the train were nice.

We went with friends for this experience. There were six of us and tables were for 4 so we sat across from our friends. We arrived early (recommended) and we're seated with the cheese tray already on the table Food was very good... The Caesar salad had palm hearts and they were delicious! The service was great the mystery fun. Admittedly some on the accent they were using made some of the acting hard to understand but they were amazing in their roles. Things to know before you go: 1.The train is very rocky a lot of seating way more than I anticipated. Our one friend got a little motion sick. 2. Plan on 4 hours train time between boarding and arrival back. We boarded at 5:45 and were back about 9:45 3. The train was hot the first half of the ride. Then they opened some ceiling vents and it was much better 4. Check in at the gift shop counter even if you buy your tickets on line. We didn't know to do that but you need this information to know which part of the train to board. It's pricey. For my husband and I it was 277.00, drinks on top of that. The portions were big, the staff amazing, actors fun.
Sheila D — Google review
We're glad we did it but once is enough. The story was good and the actors did a decent job. They talked very loudly but I'm sure that had something to do with trying to make sure that everyone in the train car could hear, even those with hearing disabilities. The servers were polite and friendly and worked efficiently. The biggest negative was that it was excruciatingly hot. It was somewhat difficult to really enjoy the experience with that kind of heat. However, the food was decent. The salmon was cooked maybe a minute or 2 too long but my husband's prime rib was a perfect medium rare. If you've never been, it's worth checking out for a unique experience.
Sherry T — Google review
From start to finish, the staff made the whole experience unforgettable: attentive, friendly, and totally in character! The mystery kept us guessing, the food hit the spot, and the vintage train atmosphere added so much charm. I highly recommend for a night of laughs, suspense, and great service!

We had the best evening! We highly recommend spending the evening with these amazing folks! The train itself was beautiful. We definitely enjoyed the ride. The service was amazing. The food was phenomenal (the prime rib is a MUST!) The actors were amazing! They are very engaging and truly pull you into the mystery. This was a "date night" for us (and it was definitely on of our favorites!) but this would be a great event to do with a larger group of friends. Each train car holds approximately 24 people with four people at a table and would be a great group event. It would also be a great office Christmas party. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Murder Mystery Dinner Train
Cheryl B — Google review
What a FUN night! We went as a table of four. Not only was the "show" really fun, but the food and drinks were WAY beyond our expectations. They have a very good bar, beer and wine selection and their food was really good. I saw some that had the prime rib, and it was so large that it could have easily fed two people. I would highly recommend this night out.
Joann Q — Google review
We had a fun night solving A Murder of Crows with the crew on-board the Seminole Gulf Railway. While no one at our table solved the mystery, our family had a great time collaborating together. It was a perfect blend of actors coming in to give us clues and we had ample time to talk with each other on the 4 hour round trip. I do recommend that you come in 30 minutes prior as you can order drinks (look at the ample pours on the wine service) and enjoy the fruit and cheese plate. The tomato bisque was a hit with us. We all had the prime rib which was a generous size accompanied by mashed potatoes and green beans. Amanda and her team of servers were the real stars of the show. The train car is pretty rocky and they worked on steady feet to bring a well timed dinner aervice that was professional and just the right touch of friendly. We were all pleasantly surprised by how well lit the train was from the outside as it allowed us to see the views despite it being dark outside. We will definitely be back as the shows change about every quarter.

Fort Myers Brewing Company is a local gem tucked away in an industrial park, offering guided tours and a tasting room with outdoor seating. With over 20 taps, this award-winning brewery provides a laid-back atmosphere where visitors can enjoy oversized games and watch sports on TV. The dog-friendly beer garden hosts live music four nights a week and features rotating food trucks, making it the perfect spot for community gatherings.
Was celebrating life after having a stroke a year ago at a brewery in Pensacola Florida. So wore the same sweatshirt and celebrated with thanks that I was still here. The Lord has been good to me. Today there was 4 food trucks and lots of outside seating. Lots of beer selections as well. Very friendly and helpful staff. We tried the nachos, pizza and wings. The nachos were amazing, totally enjoyed them. The pizza and wings were not what we expected. They were just okay and that’s all I will say about that. Overall had an amazing time here and highly recommend it

Chill atmosphere. Great spot for live music. Nice variety of beers on tap. Food pics are from the Wicked Streatery Food Truck that was onsite. Absolutely delicious. Definitely will be going back. Will take more pics next time.

A Southwest Florida Favorite I’ve been to Fort Myers Brewing Company 20+ times, and it continues to be one of my go-to spots. They’ve got an awesome selection of IPAs, some great lagers, and a few solid European-style brews that keep things interesting. The atmosphere is always relaxed and welcoming, whether you’re hanging out with friends, enjoying live music, or just soaking in the sunshine with a pint in hand. Don’t miss their Wednesday night deal: $12 for a beer, burger, and fries. It’s one of the best values around, and honestly, it tastes as good as it sounds. Great people. Great beer. Great brewery. Can’t recommend it enough.

Good place to grab a beer and watch a football game. There are lots of taps with beer for everyone. Their seltzers are also award winning. They usually have a food truck on site and they have an event calendar with all kinds of things to do. GPS sends you to the wrong side of the building so you'll need to drive to the other side. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable.

This is our second time going for Tuesday night trivia. Even if you aren't a fan of beer they will have something you might like. I am not even a beer drinker and I've found a few that I considered to taste really good! The food truck that has smash burgers is really good as well, it has been there each time we've played trivia. Its also really cool they allow dogs! Highly recommend checking this place out.

A local favorite! Our family visits FMB every time we are in the area. They have good beer, ample seating (both indoors and outside), and there is often live music. We love the casual, breezy vibe and will be back often!

This was a really fun spot for evening drinks. A family friendly atmosphere that has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It is in an odd location and parking was a little confusing at first. They close down the street in front of the brewery later in the evening, which allows for a safer and easier flow between the brewery and additional outdoor seating and food truck. People were playing games and having an overall great time. The view during sunset was beautiful. The service at the bar was great. Food at the food truck was good and had reasonable portion sizes. I’m not sure if they switch out the trucks but the one they had had plenty of options.

I recently visited Fort Myers Brewing Company in early March of 2022. My son-in-law lives in the Gateway section of Ft. Myers and knowing that I enjoy micro breweries and craft beer, he took me there. More recently I brought down an igloo container so that I could take some items back to Winter Haven, Fl. (about a 2 hour drive north). I love the Red Tape (red amber ale) and was able to take back some special Irish Red and some other selections. I usually only have one beer a day. I want it to be a good one. I really like this place. There are food trucks in late afternoon and into the evening. There are musicians who perform there as well. The staff are great! This is going to be on my list of places to visit whenever I am in town.

From the initial tour with Stasi to the planning and night of with Rebekka, everything turned out so beautifully. This venue has EVERYTHING! we had the reception on the front steps, cocktail hour on the rooftop and reception in the gallery. The rental even included shutting down the street! We are so thankful to the entire team as Hurricane Ian impacted so many venues in the area, we were still able to have our big day just a month after the storm. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! We had a great time watching pretty woman - the actors were great! Don't be like us and only show up for the show time because the food starts well before and ends before the show starts. The manager was extremely kind and got us plenty of food and yummy dessert since we misunderstood. Plenty of parking but if your Google maps as you turn left you actually need to go to the right and make a u-turn before you can enter.

I went tonight with a small group of close friends the dinner was FANTASTIC, prime rib carving station, potatoe soup, the salad bar was very fresh, and constantly being stocked. The staff from the Bartender who made the best Cosmo I've ever had, shared a secret with me. On top of the show it was in the side smaller theater, Steel Magnolias was outstanding. A fantastic place to visit for a burger. The decor and atmosphere are so well thought out, and it's fun to look around and discover all the cool ways they integrated auto and garage themed items into your experience (ex: shop rags for napkins, tires for sinks, gas nozzles for water faucets, etc). Service was friendly and attentive. Food was amazing, and portions were generous. I tried the house-made "Green and Clean" vegetarian burger, and it was the best burger I've had in a long time. The side salad was large, fresh, and delicious. Downtown parking wasn't too bad on a weekday; parking is not free, however.

We went to The Veranda to celebrate our 20th Anniversary and had a wonderful evening. The food and wine were delicious and our server was attentive but not over the top. We love the atmosphere of the old house and will definitely be back. Would love to have happy hour in the dark and moody bar! Only suggestion would be to maybe offer free dessert for special occasions as so many finer restaurants do. They had a lovely “Happy Anniversary” plate with the chocolate torte on it, but we were charged for it. We ordered a bottle of wine, appetizers and dinner so we spent a lot of time and money there. It’s fine, just would have been a nice touch to the evening.

Amazing!!! Atmosphere: old school fine dining, we were put in the back corner which was ok but felt a little secluded. Could not really hear the piano player. Table sets were elegant and welcoming. Service: Our servers name was Ramsey! Informative, dapper and very prompt. The table side Caesar was fantastic, the recommended improvement would be to emulsify the dressing more to coat the greens better, but flavors were all there. Food: Beef Carpaccio - melt in your mouth the capers brought a wonderful salty vinegar tang with the sweetness of the balsamic vinegar. Lamb chops: Wow! 3 double chops seasoned and cooked perfectly. Mashed potatoes and veggie side was just mashed potatoes and veggies could have done a bit better.( who really goes out for mashed potatoes and veggies?) Halibut Special: Best dish of the night . Flavor was out of this world. The Mediterranean artichoke topped pan seared halibut over a cheesy risotto couldn’t have been better. Crème brûlée: Simple and exquisite a perfect ending to an amazing anniversary!

This waterfront establishment provides sunset cocktails, dancing, and dining options for a unique experience in the heart of the city.
Martinis were great! Key lime pie was amazing. Dinner at the main floor restaurant was very well plated and the miso butter fish was outstanding. Two in our party had the steak (ordered medium rare and came out well done unfortunately) both were tight for time so we didn’t ask for a remake, flavor was good just over cooked. There were 5 of us adults and everyone said they were still hungry after entrees, so portions could be a bit better. The salads were generous portions and flavorful. Lovely views from the roof top bar and the bar was heated too which was nice for the chilling March evening.

Marvelous steak - a tomahawk for 2; toasty on the outside, soft and succulent within. Perfect definition of medium-well done. Accompanying vegetables - grilled asparagus and sprouts with garlic mushroom rice - provided bags of complimentary flavour. The Firestone Grill Room was a cool place to eat: good decor, good service and a decent ambiance really enhanced the experience. And with many thanks to our waitress Laci, who was kind and attentive throughout our meal thus contributing to a wonderful evening.

In from out of town....we all wanted steak and my son since living in the area decided to take us here. The vibe is super cool being in literally a firestone building. Tires all around even the bathroom sinks have tires. We were able to get a table for 5 and a baby with no reservation and a minimum wait time to be seated. The server was nice enough but being on the 2nd level service was a bit slow. We ordered drinks and an app. The app came first. We ordered bone marrow which presentation was really nice. I didn't eat it so can't tell you how good it was but our sons said it was good. Finally the drinks came and they were really good considering we get our signature dirty/filthy ketel martinis. Most don't get it dirty enough but this was tasty. Next food came out and it was BLAND. Not just a little but a lot. Positive was all the steaks and burger were cooked just right in temperature. Brussel sprouts were hard and still had bottom stems. My d-i-law said same of her brussel sprts. The parmesan risotto was a bit too hard and NO flavoring. My husband had sirloin and au gratin pot. Tiny serving, a few slices and no flavor, spinach was a bit too wilted as well. Presentations were all good but I'd rather it have flavor than having to use all the sauces and extra salt and pepper to give expensive food taste. For a night of drinks we can recommend but for food it may have been an off night but probably won't go there again to eat.

Went upstairs to the sky bar with girlfriend to order a quick meal and have some drinks. Sat down and noticed all the seats were dirty, the bar was all chipped up, and the smell of stale beer was really bad. It’s outdoors, but you could still smell it strong if the wind kicked up. The high top chairs wobbled like crazy. The decor is dated. The music was hilariously bad. Early 2000s techno-pop. Ordered a Diet Coke which was awful (flat and tasted like dirty water) and girlfriend ordered a sprite and received a really bad Shirley temple for some reason. Tasted like metal. Asked the bartender some questions about the menu and she didn’t know anything. Soup of the day, clueless. Bone marrow any good, no idea. Ordered an appetizer and two burgers. Over 45 minutes pass and our food hasn’t arrived. Finally by the 50 minute mark we see two burgers arrive, no appetizer. Asked what happened to the app, and the bartender, who mind you, was taking pictures of herself on and off the entire time we waited, stated she got confused and didn’t put the appetizer in. Whatever. We try the burgers that are $21, and they were dry, not seasoned, and cold. I’ve had a better burger at a dive bar. The fries were also cold and stale. Clearly just frozen fries being chucked into a wire basket. The bun on the burger was rock hard. Awful food, smelled like hot trash, and extremely overpriced. Will never spend a single dime, nickle, or penny there, ever again. View was nice.

Nice place for date night, make a reservation if you can! We sat on the 2nd floor and it was a really cool view overlooking the restaurant below. I had the Vegetable Stroganoff and my Fiancé had the bacon wrapped meatloaf. Both delicious!
Michelle M — Google review
We set reservations for our anniversary to eat on a recommendation. My friend recommended sunset reservation that way we could see the sunset as we eat. We were sat at the second floor, which was ok but there were no windows, just the view of the screen playing Charlie Chaplin. The service was amazing. Everyone from the front door to the second floor was sweet and very welcoming. We were sat by the stair door, every time the door opened we got a big whiff of cigarettes and a mix of food which, realistically theres a sky bar so I was ok with. Then we ordered the Bone Marrow appetizer. There were only 2 very small breads and our bone had little to no marrow. We scrapped up what we could because the bones weren't thick enough for what we paid for. The olive mix was what I enjoyed on the plate. Then we ordered/split the Tomahawk, That was delish! The Crab mac n cheese also amazing. The real surprise was the Mushroom Risotto. Absolutely amazing. All in all Id love to give it another go, because I dont want to base my experience off of 1 probably off day.

Airport
Southwest Florida International Airport, also known as Fort Myers airport, is a regional hub that showcases local art and offers a variety of dining and shopping options. It provides easy access to the city center via LeeTran bus service or rental cars from Miami Airport. While Concourse B has limited dining options, the airport generally receives positive feedback for its convenient location near I75 and efficient TSA process.
It was my first time flying to Fort Myers and coming to this airport. We landed on a Monday afternoon and it was pretty busy. The airport is really huge however, its super navigation friendly. There are multiple gates and lines to check in/out. The most important factor for any airport is how fast you get the luggage, which here it was pretty organized and fast. There are multiple luggage belts and space around it for travellers to find and get their luggage pretty easily. Officers were pretty professional and fast as well. Washrooms were super clean and spacious. There are multiple stores and cafes to use if you need to wait for a flight as well.

Clean, Friendly, Professional. I would nick name this Airport, "The Airport with glass floors." It looked like I was walking on water the way these floors shined. I had an overall great experience at this Airport. I will definitely be back. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your kindness attention to detail and over all great performance as a team.

Spent 20 min in normal TSA line. That wasn’t bad. If you tip the baggage people out in the drop off line outdoors, they’ll let it slide that you have a pound or two extra over weight. While I was here there were a few people in the TSA line that were complaining that their boarding passes and tickets were messed up. It told them to go to gate D but it was actually a B gate and the switch of airlines happened last minute. People missed their flights because of this and TSA was unforgiving, nobody got to skip the line. That didn’t happen to me. Show up a couple hours early folks in case things like that happen. The Starbucks line wasn’t long on this Monday morning 7a. They have lots of plugs at seating areas and tech charging bars. The bathroom stalls are small to bring your luggage into. They have a companion restroom which I thought was nice. They have a water bottle refilling station. The gates have very tiny seating areas. Definitely not enough room for even have a flight’s passengers so lots of people standing around. This is a relatively quiet and clean airport.
M W — Google review
Overall, great airport. Very small and clean. Generally well-organized. Smooth tsa. Occasionally, due to weather there will be delays or cancelations. This has more to do with the specific airlines. Airport is very easy to navigate. Very few stores or food options. Eat beforehand.

Where do I begin with this Airport. My whole life vacationing to Southwest Florida I have used this Airport. This Airport is probably the most organized airport I have ever been two. There are many shops and restaurants and it is very easy to navigate. All the baggage claims are in one spot and once you collect your things the rental car/road is right in front. There is never any traffic and it’s an easy in and out of the airport. They are now building a new terminal which I can’t wait to see when it is complete! Highly recommend using this AirPort while traveling to this part of the state.

I have been trying to get this shot for 4 months and I finally got it. Every full moon night it has been cloudy, This time I was in the right spot very few clouds but I was kicked out by airport police. Since I could be there with the tripod, I asked my wife to drive while I framed the shot and fired handheld with around 500mm, and it finally lined up perfectly.

Southwest Florida International Airport runs smoother than most big airports. It’s clean, organized, and the layout actually makes sense — you’re not wandering around wondering where the hell to go. Security usually moves at a decent pace, baggage claim is quick, and the whole place feels modern and well-kept. Parking and pickup are easy, and the terminals have enough food and drink options to keep you moving without the usual airport chaos. RSW handles heavy traffic without feeling overwhelming, which is rare these days. If you want a clean, efficient airport that doesn’t waste your time, RSW is one of the better ones in Florida.
Brian T — Google review
Nice airport. But if passengers got off the plane, walked through the airport, back to the tarmac, went into the planes cargo hold, searched for their bag and walked to their parking spot, it would be FASTER than this stupid airport. I've seen glaciers faster than these baggage people. 30-45 minutes from when you walk off the airplane to get in your bag is seriously normal. Come on RSW...

The Shell Factory and Nature Park is a family-friendly complex located in North Tamiami Trail. It offers a diverse range of attractions, including a retail shop with sea shell collectibles, jewelry, and tropical wear. The complex also features a steak-and-seafood eatery, museums, go-karts, paddle boats, petting farm, zip line, and entertainment for children. Visitors can explore the wild animal display showcasing over 66 different animals and enjoy the largest year-round Christmas holiday shop.
Hate to see you go! This place was a true throwback to old Florida and although most people thought of it as just a very popular Roadside Attraction, those who got to experience The Shell Factory definitely have some memories to cherish. Florida thanks you for 86 years of fun and so does the wildlife.
Harrison D — Google review
This is a family favorite. You can walk all around and see the animals and then play a quick game of miniature golf. Afterwards, head into the shell factory for the largest selection of sea shells . Also check out the sculptures made of shells. Have fun getting your pictures taken in the shark mouth. Learn about Florida's contribution to our veterans history. Refuel with a drink and piece of pizza in the snack shop. Finish off your adventure by purchasing yourself a gift or three.

The animals were super fun that deserves a 5. We did the bumper boats too and that was pretty lame for 9$ you get 10 minutes for that. so that’s easily a 2. The restaurant was the worst. we were there for at least 2 hours. no one was there and the service was super slow. food was good. Just didn’t want to wait 2 hours for the drinks, food, and check.

Has definitely seen better days. I'm a big fan of road side tourist attractions. And this definitely fits the bill but ooph. It's struggling. The signage out front pretty much tells you all you need to know about the place. Old. Destroyed. And ready to fall over. The gift shop is very basic. There is a lot of over priced items. Mostly shells and trinkets with names on it. (If you have a common enough name for that type of stuff) Most of the building does not have air conditioning and in several places the roof leaks. It's well over due for a face lift and a fresh coat of paint. I wasn't brave enough to purchase any food from the icecream or pizza shop. The sanitation appeared to be questionable. We did decide to eat at the southern grill on the other side of the lot. That building seemed in better repair, but only marginally. The prices were comparative to other restaurants and the food was good. The waitress was very kind. The nature trail was ok but over priced. We spent just shy of $100 for admission to the trail for a family of 5 and 2 cups of food for us all to share to feed the animals. Again, no A/C in the reptile house where bathrooms are located. There is a small "fun park" with a few rides. You can pay per ride which is nice. The rides are very old but functional enough that no one was injured while we were there. Over all i give it a C+. Nice place to stop if you're just looking for a pitstop to stretch your legs. I would never choose it as a destination spot and i will probably never go back.

What a unique place! I have never been anywhere like it. This is certainly a trip to the past as West Florida tourist attractions were back in the day. But, don't expect super fancy. Have the right expectations and it is a great value for the price. Lots of damage from hurricane Ian and they are still recovering. Support this unique attraction and go and enjoy it.
Bill H — Google review
The nature center was so much fun, I spent hours there feeding the animals. There are so many animals to feed, I just loved the whole experience. Check out my photos and short videos. The shell factory store was another incredible place. They had a Christmas store that truly had something for everyone. Of course there were shells, but there was so much more. Check out the hundreds of photos I took in the store. I highly recommend this place!!!
Trish W — Google review
From a first time perspective, I felt this was a great place to take the kids. Number one thing I'd like to commend about this place is how extremely nice and helpful all the staffs were. Due to this, I did not hesitate to support by spending more. We played mini golf, kids rode the bumper floats and carousel. They also had gem mining which I thought was really cool and unique. The shell store had large selection of items to purchase, an arcade, a pizza cafe, and a little bakery/ice cream shop in the back. This may not seem like much, but trust me, it is. We didn't even get to the nature park on the first day because we were exhausted already. If you purchase the full packet, you can use it again on another day, which we happily did. We came back a couple days later to visit the nature park, fed the animals, try out the ice cream, and pretzel. Both were delicious! So the reason for 4 stars is that the place can use some updating. Staff was limited and not all the bumper floats were working. It looks like the place is struggling but we still had a great time with the whole family. There did not seem to be enough photos of this place so I'm adding them with my review.
Kalia X — Google review
Great place and recommend for families. Our little girls and 12 year old son really enjoyed the many animals we encountered. There were areas where you could touch and feed the animals. There is also a prehistoric area with life like figures that was interesting and informative. A huge store for souvenirs and interesting finds. As well as miniature golf, restaurant, rock wall, merry go round and lots of free parking.

Whether I’m grabbing groceries for the week or picking up something special for a dinner party, the service is consistently top-notch. Shopping here is always a pleasure—the store is clean, well-organized, and has such a welcoming vibe. It’s my go-to spot for fresh, high-quality food, and I look forward to every visit. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and check it out! 🛒🍎🧀

Bell Tower Shops is a beautiful mall centrally located in Fort Myers. Unfortunately the mall seems to be a victim of the brick and mortar retail exodus. I counted at least a dozen empty units. The mall used to be very lively for shopping with Gap, Gap Kids, Banana Republic, Soma, White House/Black Market, Victoria Secret, Francesca's, a coffee shop, etc. Now the mall is filled with so many empty units including several vacant restaurant spaces. The stores that are open are cute local boutiques and the restaurants had patrons so that's nice, but the plaza didn't seem to be drawing much of a shopping crowd on the occasion I visited.

Nice spot on the water. Really cute place to eat breakfast resembles an old diner. Also have some nice spots to eat along the area with a water view. The rooms are a good size and have good fixtures. They will tell you about half the building is noisy at night because of clubs they are not kidding. Keep that in mind if that’s important to you. I didn’t really mind it because I was visiting but if you have to work the next morning maybe best to be on the quiet side.

Raegan- Always friendly, upbeat, and full of positive energy. A true pleasure to interact with! Hamlet- A true joy! He goes above and beyond. He even offered to change my flat tire for me. He's usually there in the morning and makes my day before it even starts. Gio- Great, positive energy! Always so accommodating. If I'm leaving early in the morning he'll bring my car down the night before. Overall, these guys are 10/10 THE BEST!!

I booked a stay and my first attempt was a mistake and I asked for it to be cancelled so I could reschedule and put in the correct departure date. Since I was naive I booked the option pay now with no refund. I completely agree I did that. However the second booking was made for a longer stay 15 minutes from the first. I asked for the first booking to be cancelled without penalty and explained the mistake. The hotel denied an email, a request from Booking.com, a messages sent to the property by the customer. Phone calls were unsuccessful and the person on the phone was rude. I have learned an expensive lesson. BTW you have to pay more to insure ability to cancel and I was trying to save money. I will never stay at that hotel ever again and I don’t believe it is worth what it costs. I have a reservation and will stay in December 4 through 7 and that will be it.

Pros: clean, housekeeping was super flexible with us and worked around our toddler’s nap schedule, front desk staff was kind and responsive to needs, Ella Mae’s and the coffee shop were both delicious, close proximity (walking distance) to a bunch of good restaurants! Cons: the noise. The NOISE. If you’re on the side of the hotel that overlooks the city/Firestone, you will NOT have quiet nights. They blast music until 2am Wednesday through Saturday (at a much louder volume than is even necessary) - it’s clear that establishment does not have any regard for the community it operates in. It was as if the speaker fed directly into our room. Myself and other hotel patrons we spoke with all purposely avoided Firestone just on principle. Hotel staff offered ear plugs and noise machines for our room so we do appreciate those efforts however we could not understand why our family was placed on what is obviously considered the “loud” side of the hotel. We would’ve gladly accepted a downgraded room if it meant we could’ve had uninterrupted sleep; another reason we appreciated housekeeping’s flexibility with cleaning our room and working around our toddler’s nap schedule because it was the only time during the day that it was actually quiet and she could catch up on sleep peacefully. Even with the ear plugs and noise machines on, we were still able to hear the music - I cannot emphasize enough how loud it is. The hotel should just buy them out, honestly. And while it’s not the hotel’s fault for the repeated and prolonged disruptions, I gave it 3 stars because I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with small children or to anyone who actually needs to sleep. If that issue is resolved, this would be an easy 5 star rating and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Andrea R — Google review
Clean, beautiful hotel with plenty of amenities and and a great view of the water. Lots of restaurants and retail nearby. We only stayed one night and walked to a restaurant right across the street ( Oxbow Bar & Grill) which was on the water. Would definitely stay there again for more than one night. We were catching the high speed ferry to Key West and although it was about 1/2 hour away, it was worth the drive. Price of the room was very reasonable.

Nice view of Ft. Myers and the river. The staff is friendly but incompetent. The room was dirty. I found a perscription pill under the sofa. Glad i found it before our toddler thought it was candy. Obviously they don't vacuum. The carpet was gross. The sofa had crumbs and confetti in it. Everything taller than 5' had thick dust on top. The pillow had stains on it so i took the pill and pillow to the front desk. We were offered a discount and new pillows. The staff member that brought up new pillows 20min later thought it was a good idea to let himself into an occupied room while we were changing cloths for our event that evening. Someone should tell him that breaking and entering is an easy way to get permanently terminated in Florida. Thankfully I wasn't stuck here for vacation and could drive a few hours home instead of staying at this sub par establishment. The front desk offered a full refund but i have yet to see it. It's been a month. I've called 3 times and according to the front desk "it's processing". This hotel relies on its location and view to survive. Without that it's a 2 star Super 8.

Nathan has been such a wonderful help super respectful and responsible. I’ve always had a wonderful experience with the luminary, but Nathan has truly gone above and beyond, and I cannot be more grateful to have experienced such great staff. I definitely would recommend if you’re staying in the area.
Phalon C — Google review
Very disappointed. First and foremost the NOISE from the bars across the street is so loud until 2am that you can’t sleep and they won’t disclose this until after you’re checking in. Really not cool especially if you have children and value your sleep. The pool is very underwhelming/dirty and to get food or drinks you have to use a random phone on the wall to order and wait an hour for it to come up (even though every drink was in a can). Do not recommend this hotel at all.

This is coming very late but we were fortunate enough to use the Verandah as our wedding venue on January 7, 2024. We LOVED IT! The food was amazing and the guests loved it too. Getting ready for the day was easy with the bridal and grooms suites. We opted in to use the day of coordinator and Kaitlin was just amazing. She worked so well with us and is very detail oriented. As a type A bride, I really appreciated this and her dedication to making our wedding day so memorable. She made do with last minute changes, answered all of the many small and intricate questions. She decorated the reception area and set us the ceremony. She was able to get us communion at the last minute and no one was the wiser. It was a great day overall and I really appreciated how much of the stress she took off our shoulders as a couple. We were hardly worried about the day. Would recommend!!!

Course was in very good shape, the person in pro shop was not very friendly, this was are first time here. He didn’t offer any advice and didn’t even tell us what course we were playing. The cart guy was helpful after we asked where thing were, ranger approached us on hole 7 and asked us if we could move along a little faster, we just finished 7 and were 1:20 into the round. The GPS on the cart didn’t say we were behind, we had a older gentleman and a younger boy (2 some) playing from way forward tee’s behind us (we were a 4 some). This put a damper on our experience. Course was very nice but personal needs to lighten up and be more friendly. The starter on hole 1 was very nice.

Verandah is fantastic, especially for the avid golfer. Two very good courses, which play differently. The club offers great food and the fitness center is top notch.
Jeff H — Google review
Old orange (1 of 2 courses) is a beautiful course with a great layout. Some holes are wide open off the tee but have small challenging greens. There's are tight of the tee with relatively benign greens. We were there for a junior tournament and while the course is fantastic it's not the best setup for that type event. The range is very far from the parking area and they didn't have a good system to shuttle players and the facility could have made that easier. Also it was extremely challenging to get a practice round scheduled, changing information when I called starting 2 weeks out and finally would only let them on Thursday or Friday before the event which meant kids had to skip schoo if they wanted to get a practice round in. It's a 5 star place for the golf, but a 3 for hosting an event, so I round to a 4.

We used to love to the downtown area, have been coming for over 40 years, but now recently, that has changed. There is a new addition of people standing on street corners, on loud speakers preaching to anyone that will listen. They are so loud, you can no longer talk to friends, enjoy a somewhat peaceful dinner, or in general, enjoy yourself. They have destroyed all that. Please, Downtown River District, get rid of theses snake oil salesmen (on loud speakers) that are ruining the enjoyment of downtown. They will eventually discourage people from coming. Please don’t let that happen.

Went down for the music walk. Lots of people and a fair amount of musicians some very good. Was totally turned off by the religious opportunists. I fully recognize their first amendment rights but does that extend to the use of megaphones so that it disrupts everyone else's good time. Total turnoff

First time dining here & it was wonderful! Excellent service from our server, Sara. Had crab cakes app (special of day), blacked shrimp/scallops/grouper and shrimp trio. Food was hot, delicious & flavorful. Atmosphere like an old-fashioned high-end dinner club. Can’t say enough good about this place! So glad we tried it!

I stopped in for happy hour and was pleasantly surprised — the deals were fantastic, and the selection didn’t disappoint. The service was attentive and friendly, which really added to the experience. The fish was impressively fresh, clearly a highlight of the menu. That said, the atmosphere was mixed. The crowd skewed much older, which may or may not suit your vibe. What really took away from the experience was the outdoor smoking — the smell carried into the restaurant and made it hard to enjoy the meal fully. Overall, a place with great service, fresh seafood, and an unbeatable happy hour, but the smoking issue definitely needs to be addressed for a more comfortable dining experience.

This restaurant is amazing! We came here for dinner and made sure to have a reservation before. We started with an appetizer of the Crab Cakes, which we got sautéed. They also have a delicious molasses, honey, and wheat bread they bring out free of charge. For the entrees we got a 6 oz filet steak with a baked potato, the Shrimp Scampi substitute for chicken, Boston baked haddock, and the salmon Mediterranean. The table favorite was definitely the Scampi and crab cakes. The crab cakes are available for purchase at the market in the front of the store to take home and cook later. We will DEFINITELY be back. Our waitress Lauren was amazing and attentive as well. Definitely let them know about allergies up front for shell fish, peanuts, and tree nuts.

Service was absolutely wonderful! My drink (Key lime pie martini) was not enjoyable at all and did ask if they would remove from the bill and exchange for a fountain soda. Server was happy to do so and no fuss was made. The apps (included pics) were flavorful and were presented beautifully. The mains were lacking in my opinion. The green beans had no seasoning and the scallops were overcooked. My FIL got the fish special and ended up sending his meal back to be cooked a little longer. My in-laws frequent regularly and assured us that it’s usually a higher food standard so we would absolutely come back.

We had a really good experience here! We came in with a party of six, including two seniors and two young kids. Our server was really friendly and helpful, especially towards our kids. Menu had lots to choose from, all at great prices. I got the lobster special for $33, which included a fresh steamed Maine lobster. Clam chowder was also tasty - everyone (including the kids) enjoyed their meals. The key lime pie for dessert was great too. Nice environment, great service, terrific food at a reasonable price. We made a good choice!

THIS IS THE PLACE FOR CRAB CAKES! I’m not even a huge fan but hubby is… I tasted them and boy they were fantastic. His garlic mashed potatoes were lacking but the baked beans were really good. I ordered the broiled scallops with homemade fries and slaw. The scallops were aweful. They looked like they had flavor by all the seasoning but were terribly bland. My server brought me coconut shrimp instead. They were good. The fries with homemade ranch didn’t disappoint either. The drink menu was a two for one price. We thought they would bring the second one when we finished the 1st one but instead they brought all four!😂 I would’ve given five stars if it hadn’t been for the bland scallops and mashed potato’s. The service was impeccable… very attentive. We had a water view as well.

The lobster roll was served on a white bread toast — for $29 the 1/2 cup serving was too much mayo/celery. The coleslaw was tasteless and the french fries came out cold and hard. After asking for new fries the second batch came out hot but hard and burnt. Will not be returning.

First time at this Pinchers location. Has the best water views location for sure. The restaurant is on the second floor so you need to walk up some stairs. Went during happy hour which has drinks bogo. Started off with 6 buffalo chicken wings which were pretty amazing so I ordered 6 more. Tried a cup of chicken and Lulu soup which was pretty tasty Enjoyed the fish tacos and an IPA. The baklava was the icing on the cake.

I had the crab leg special for $25. It came with two sides. The food was high quality and delicious. The atmosphere was great. We sat out on the porch and had a great view of the water. I would definitely come back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pinchers Crab Shack in Fort Myers while visiting my sister, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was so relaxing—it felt like the perfect coastal escape. The food was outstanding! Each dish was fresh and delicious, showcasing the best seafood. I particularly loved the coconut shrimp; they were cooked to perfection. What really stood out to me was the exceptional service. Victoria and Sam went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable throughout our meal. They were polite, friendly, and incredibly attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. If you’re in Fort Myers, make sure to stop by Pinchers Crab Shack. It’s definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for great food in a welcoming environment!

I wanted a lobster roll. I had envisioned a buttery roll filled with meat. Their roll is filled with deli salad. While good, not what I wanted. The server mentioned a cup of new England clam chowder. This was so creamy and flavorful that if I went back I'd probably get a bowl with their garlic bread. Prices are a bit higher than other local places. Two for lunch, and he had two beers, while I had tea will cost you a hundred bucks.

Southern restaurant (US)
Fancy's Southern Cafe is a cozy establishment renowned for its familiar Southern cuisine, including popular dishes like chicken and waffles and sweet potato soufflé. Considered one of the top restaurants in Fort Myers, this eatery has been featured on Extra Mile. With a focus on 'Southern Sophistication,' Fancy's offers both delectable food and tasteful decor.
The atmosphere of Fancy’s is awesome. The decor is real cool. The staff are friendly and attentive. I had the Biscuit and gravy meal. It was all a 5 for me. Fresh and yummy. My wife had the Chicken and Waffles. She rated it a 3.5. The best part was the syrup she said. Her complaints were that the chicken was dry and over salted and the waffle was rubbery. We still would come back and eat here again. They have a full bar also. The restaurant was clean as was the bathroom. We dined here on 6/14/25.

We have been here several times over the years. This was probably our favorite sit down restaurant of all time before we moved out to Orlando and Las Vegas. We have always been a fan of the food but always felt the service has room for improvement. We have only come during dinner and we always have loved the country fried steak and chicken and waffles. We ordered this upon our recent visit after not coming for several years and the food is just as good as we remembered. The waffles stood out highly this time especially topped with the sweet potato shreds. 4 large waffles in the dish make for a huge plate super filling. The chicken fried steak was good also, one side seemed to be mostly all breading and minimal steak, but was still good. I love the gravy it comes with. Our servers, Ian and his trainee Joel, did a phenomenal job serving. They were extremely friendly and were great with natural conversation. I did knock off a couple stars, since we did see the hosts and some servers sitting around in the front while it wasn't too busy, it's a lazy look and when you look around, you easily see a bunch of dusty items that definitely could use a wipe down.. Overall this place has been pretty consistent with their food at least. Drinks are good too. Just some ambiance things that I feel can use a bit of improvement.

The cafe has unusual decor, very well done. Everything on the menu is prepared fresh. Our waitress was Tarin. She was great. We ordered donuts. They were delicious, and fairly expensive for 2. I ordered chicken and biscuit. The biscuits are light and very good. Unfortunately, it crumbled before I could eat the sandwich. The chicken was well cooked and juicy.

We just couldn't wait for the opening of the new downtown location, so we ventured down to the "south" restaurant. Wow! doesn't come close to our experience, but if the shoe fits... We started with deviled eggs, had the pimento cheese burger with collard greens and the Florida Hot chicken sandwich. Very tasty and unique. Wish we would have eaten Herr before now! Impressive bourbon selection with a wide price range. Service was great and the live music by Sergio Munoz (I'm fairly sure the name is correct!) provided some favorite 90s tunes and one "Johnny Cash" cover. We look forward to visiting the new location soon!

My boyfriend and I decided to give the new downtown location a try for lunch finally & it did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautiful as well as the atmosphere. Went here for a graduation celebration. GPS takes you to their back door. Absolutely aggravating. Not sure why this is other than on the door it says deliveries. So parking is on the street or in a garage, both paid parking. The service was excellent. I never got her name. The country fried steak I ordered was a frozen type prefabricated patty. It had been cut before it was cooked. I didn’t expect a real “steak” but I had hoped for a much better piece of meat, but it tasted like cardboard. Cracker Barrel has a better “ country fried steak” and that’s not saying much. Texas Roadhouse has real country fried steak. Again, that’s not what I was expecting but not expecting that either. My okra and salad were great. My husband ordered the brisket tacos. Coleslaw and okra. He also enjoyed the okra. He said that the tacos would have been great but the coleslaw that you put on there and his side of coleslaw he did not like. The graduate ordered the bison burger which he enjoyed along with the fries. And it was cooked as he ordered. The cheese curds were great. The pretzel and dip were very good! Great flavor, hot. The cheesesteak was hot, fresh and cheesy! Again excellent service! We would perhaps try this establishment again, now that we know where it is located. And if we are ever back in the area. Don’t recall seeing a manager, but the rest of the staff were friendly, and great! Restroom could use a little cleanup. Love the decor in the restroom. And on the restroom doors. Cute. Some city folk may get confused. LoL. But cute. Maybe try a different vendor for your country fried steak, this does not fit. Great service! GPS takes you to the back door. Perhaps put the crossroads on your website or in directions. I know not your fault, but it may help with business.

We stopped in for a drink to get out of the rain while walking the river district. What a cool place! Decorated like a ski lodge theme, complete with a mini ski lift and grizzly bear. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The drinks were cold and good. If we hadn't already eaten we definitely would of tried the bbq. It smelled great and what we saw others had looked great as well. Menu prices were reasonable and lots of items to try. We'll be back for the food next time!

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. We take our two Frenchies with us everywhere. We tried the fried tomatoes for an appetizer. They were the best we’ve ever had. The have a special sauce, like a sweet and spicy Jam and another sauce on the side that was delicious as well. I’ve been here twice now. We ordered ribs, burnt ends, and sliced brisket. The side we got were the macaroni and cheese, sweet potato fries, mashed potatoes and fried Okra. This was a lot of food! We will be taking some to lunch tomorrow. It was really peaceful sitting outside with the dogs. I recommend this place now for Bbq. We are originally from Kansas City and had not found a good place until now. I have to say this is better than Famous Dave’s. Must try!

Great Food and Brew In A Place out of the Northwoods We really like this place, especially since we relocated here from the north, not far from the Wisconsin northwoods. And the food and drink never disappoint. We happened to be there during Happy Hour which is offered Monday through Friday 3 – 6, and the HH specials include $1.00 off draft beers, $1.00 smoked wings, $5.00 moonshine cocktail of the day. I started off with a Landshark for $5 and ended with a Dark Messenger porter for $7 (prices after HH discount). We saw Smokey Pork Rinds ($4.00) on the appetizer menu and asked our server about them. She said they were fried to order so we had to try them. If these were fried to our order, they sat in the kitchen window for quite some time as they were just a hair warmer than room temp. They did have smokey seasoning and were super crunchy. I think we have to try them again. My wife had the Brisket Reuben ($19.00). A plentiful amount of sliced brisket and pastrami with all the other reuben ingredients on toasted rye. And the included fries on the side were twice fried with that crunchy outside and pillowy soft inside. I had six of the $1 ea. Smokey Chicken Wings. I don’t think there is any flavor or sauce option. They came out as smoked bbq’d wings. I did get both ranch and blue cheese dressing for dipping at no charge, but no celery or carrots even offered. The wings were good. Moist, smoked and tasty. Parking around there isn’t always easy, but circle around and something should open. We’ll go back. There are a few more menu items we want to try.

The good: It didnt take long to be seated, the service was pretty good and the food came out hot and fresh. The bad: The drinks were watered down. The review: It gave me a Twin Peeks feel. If you want to watch a game with an editable meal, then this would be an ideal location.

This had to be the worst restaurant I’ve been to, ever! The service was sub par. The food was cold and not good at all and we’re bbq loving people. Our server never checked back with us to see if everything was actually ok except when the food was dropped before we had a chance to taste. We had the bbq chicken sandwich and split that, there was barely any chicken on it and it was cold. Brussels sprouts were cold but ok. The half rack of ribs were just warm but edible. Shrimp skewers were just ok. The manager was nice enough to comp our food but I was so mad at our server as she was dismissive and not attentive at all. I’ve waited tables for years and I get it but this restaurant took the prize for worst restaurant experience ever! I do not recommend and can’t see why they’re still functioning as a restaurant! You get zero stars from us.

Nestled in the heart of Cape Coral, the Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve spans an impressive 356 acres of lush wetlands and mangrove forests. This serene haven is a paradise for nature enthusiasts, offering a scenic 1.2-mile boardwalk that meanders through diverse habitats teeming with wildlife. Bird watchers will delight in spotting eagles, herons, and various migratory species as they traverse the well-maintained trails.
Nice boardwalk path through the mangroves. I went on a cool morning in April. Most of the walk was shaded by the mangrove trees. It was a fairly long walk with benches along the path if you need to rest. The board walk leads to two piers that reach out over the Caloosahatchee River. Nice walk.

Just over the midpoint bridge heading into Cape Coral on the right hand side is this Incredible Veteran's Memorial Park inside Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve. You can have a picnic lunch or bring a fishing pole & make a day of it with friends. So much to explore including a beautiful Catwalk to bird watch & sightsee. An adventure for everyone to enjoy.

It has a nice nature trail boardwalk throughout the mangroves and marshes. We saw what we think were otter tracks, but otherwise we didn't really see much as far as wildlife. There's plenty of parking, decent bathrooms, and the Veterans park right at the entrance. Overall, it's a cool little park to meander around in.

Such a beautiful place to disconnect and enjoy nature. The boardwalk through the mangroves was peaceful, and I saw several beautiful birds. Everything is well maintained and admission is free. At the end, there’s a scenic lookout over the water with truly spectacular views. A perfect spot for a quiet walk. I’ll definitely be back

I love it here the air feels cleaner, not to hot when walking inside the park. I do think the city should organizing a cleanup to pick up all the dead palm fronds that’s is piling up to give new plants and mangroves to be able to thrive. Plus it make the park look nicer and to show the city cares. Other the. That good park I notes bathroom has been upgrade.

This was a relaxing short walk around the boardwalk. We went early in the morning and saw a few locals (wildlife). You can also go fishing at one of their piers. It's also a memorial for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Freedom is NOT free!

Buckingham Farms is a family-owned hydroponic farm in Fort Myers, Florida, spanning 85 acres and dedicated to producing high-quality vegetables. The onsite country store offers American cuisine made exclusively from ingredients grown on the farm. The emphasis is on sustainability and providing delicious farm-to-table meals for breakfast and lunch.
My wife and I drove up from Naples for breakfast. We were greeted warmly and explained the ordering process. The food had good taste and reasonably priced. The country store offers a wide variety of food from sauces, jams, jellies as well as coffee. There is an open air barn available to rent for weddings etc. Very nice store and operating farm.

First time at this lovely welcoming and clean location. My hubby and I wanted to stay away from the kitchen and decided to look for a new location for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised. Staff welcoming but the service style is self service. ...very important to note because as you approach you will think it's the typical sit-down with wait staff taking your order... it's not. Self serve with coffee water and soft drinks. Grab a menu oder upon arrival and buzzer alert when food is ready. This worked because we sat quickly and got out quickly in time for my hubby to start some scheduled work calls. We both ordered the Farmhouse Benedict and it was perfectly done ✔️. The gift shop offers some fresh and local items. Its nicely stocked. A bit up in price for self service. I wish the coffee was more gourmet but I think it was an overall great start to my day. If you stay off the highway to get to the location it's a pleasant drive.

I just had my wedding here yesterday, absolutely perfect. Anna, her husband and her team are so hardworking and trustworthy and made my husband and I’s big day the absolute best it could have ever been. Their venue is gorgeous, so many places for great photos, the food is phenomenal. There is no other place quite like Buckingham Farms and I’m so lucky I was able to spend the day there. Highly recommend for casual lunches or breakfast, and even more so for a wedding!! I’ll definitely be back just to chill here for some food. Thank you guys again for such an amazing day ❤️❤️

If you're a laid-back bride looking for a stress-free, beautiful wedding day, I can't recommend Buckingham Farms enough. From the moment we started planning, Anna, the coordinator, was an absolute amazing. You couldn’t ask for a better wedding coordinator. She allowed me to fully relax and enjoy the day without feeling overwhelmed. The venue itself is stunning—beautiful in every way. The team at Buckingham Farms went above and beyond with the décor, transforming the space into something even more beautiful than I could have imagined. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and it was clear they truly care about making your day perfect. Anna was top-notch, not only in her coordination skills but also in her kindness and attentiveness. She was always available to answer questions, offer guidance, and ensure everything was running smoothly. Thanks to her, I was able to be present and truly enjoy every moment of the day, knowing everything was taken care of. If you're looking for a venue that offers a perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and excellent service, Buckingham Farms is the place. It’s ideal for couples who want a seamless experience without the stress, and I’m so grateful I chose them for my wedding!

First and foremost, the Buckingham Farm restaurant is phenomenal! Their breakfast and lunch is filling and delicious and all the little extras - like the veggies, bread mixes, and sauces - are great for a quick pick up you might need! Beyond the restaurant, my husband and I were just married there and cannot speak enough about how AMAZING Anna and the staff are there! From the communication, to the food for our wedding, to Anna keeping it all running on schedule - our wedding day was free of stress and full of spending our day with the people we love the most. If you have considered looking at their venue, I can honestly say you will NOT be disappointed. Anna and the BF FAMILY - we LOVE you and are forever grateful for you! Thank you!

My elderly walking buddy was looking for something paved to walk on so we checked out Centennial Park for our walk today. Parking was $1 per hour. It was interesting to take a break from the rustic trails and walk around the waterfront. There’s still a lot of hurricane damage on the docks but the park itself and surrounding businesses were fine. There’s a nice looking playground with restrooms. The water fountains were beautiful and there was a lot of interesting art.

Extremely disappointed in the production "I do, I do" promoted by the GCS. We would have thought something costing $50 per ticket would have consisted of something a bit more professional than a small cast and one piano. The production was held in what appeared to be a church sanctuary attended by a total of 16 people. Never having heard of this particular production, we thought we'd give it a try. It's an extremely outdated script, sexist and quite frankly boring. We will have to be much more discerning in the future, but I am guessing will bot likely search out shows being produced by the GCS again.

Hammond Stadium is a popular destination for baseball enthusiasts, offering top-notch facilities and an exciting atmosphere for players and spectators alike. The stadium hosts the Minnesota Twins' spring training games, providing an opportunity for fans to catch pre-season action from February to March. Renowned for its recent multi-million dollar renovation, the park features the bullpen picnic pavilion where fans can interact with their favorite players and capture memorable moments.
Nice and well maintained ballpark. I attended a Mighty Mussells game here. This stadium is very fan friendly with many open seating areas that have counters/tables to set a drink down while watching the game.

Hammond Stadium 4-12-25 This stadium review is when the Mighty Mussels night game. We arrived here for a Baseball game on Friday night about 5:48pm for a game that started at 7:05pm. As we were pulling into the parking lot there was a 10-dollar charge for parking. You must remember they do not take cash only credit cards throughout the entire stadium and for parking. We told the lot attendant we have a handicap person and they directed us to a special lot which was macadam covered so wheelchairs could roll better. We had to go to the last gate on the left of the front entrance to get to the elevator which was very easy. They had a strict rule on the size of your bag you can take in with you. Our bag was a little bigger, but we had medical items in it, and they had no issues with it once they checked it over. We had to go through a metal detector but that was easy. Everyone was so helpful, and the elevator was easy to operate. Once in the stadium it was very clean and laid out so it was easy to figure out where you should sit. All food and drinks were on the 2nd floor area as was the entrances to all lower levels. Lots of rest rooms were available and they were clean and neat. We loved the food here and its not that much overpriced for example 4 large Chicken Fingers and Fries were 9.50. They do sell Beer, Soda, and Water to quench your thirst I’m not sure about the cost of that. I cannot stress enough how everyone of the people that were working this event was very friendly and helpful. They even announced my dad’s 93rd Birthday between one of the innings. The Firework that followed the game were amazing and lit up the entire sky. I would tell anyone that this is one of the best things to do with your family I can thing of they are so family friendly, and all the kids looked like they were having such a great time. I for one can’t wait to go back with my family. I will add one thing the ball field was immaculate and very well kept. The night lights lit up the entire field and stadium. The score board was well lit and huge so you could read it from the stands. I will give this stadium 5 out of 5 stars for the food the game and the family fun. You need to put a game on your must-see list. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow Me On Fb For More Reviews. Gulf Coast Terry

Spring training-home of Minnesota Twins baseball ⚾️, and regular home of Fort Myers Mighty Mussels. This location provides a great night out for couples or families alike. $10 parking, and $10 general admission (sit wherever you like!). Lots of concession stands and a really good atmosphere. We’ve been several times, and I’m certain we’ll go again. Look out for value-adds; tonight was “Friday Fireworks”, tomorrow is a Michael Jackson show. No need to book in advance; turn up 45 minutes before the published game time to buy tickets at the friendly box office.

Being going here since last year supporting the local mussels team! Great stadium, friendly staff and great atmosphere. It started to rain and one of the staff offered to dry off my seat! Come support your local team!

This is the Twins Territory. That is how the called it, the Minnesota Twins Spring training field. During a last minute road trip we found a good opportunity to go and watch a game after we saw the advertisement on the street. We went to watch the Twins vs Red Sox, the staff was very friendly and organized everyone was willing to help with directions or any other needs. There was a very nice atmosphere in the ballpark, We have been on MLB games regular season but never on Spring training, we definitely enjoy it.

A very nice location for a baseball game. Well-organized events and a very family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of fun and entertainment in between. The fireworks on Friday are a real attraction.

Nice little stadium with clean stands and nice viewing for the game. Best of all the home team won in dramatic fashion 👏 another great game, easy parking and great food and best of all another win .
Dean H — Google review
We went here for a school spirit night and it was a lot of fun for the kids AND we even watched some baseball, lol. The cool thing about this stadium is the two grassy areas on either side of the field. The kids tend to use it as a play area and the stadium allows it. It so helps, as sitting in seats for hours on end just isn’t conducive with young kids. In between we would take breaks and watch some baseball. This stadium is relatively clean and well run. My only complaint and reason for the 4 out 5 stars is the food. It is horrible and over priced. Go with the cheeseburger… we ordered brats for us and they were so small and I’m not sure they were brats. I also ordered nachos… which were chips with only cheese dip in containers for $8! Nothing else with them! The burgers were normal. That’s why I say go with them. Extremely disappointing with the price point on all of the food. Gouging at its finest. The fireworks were GREAT! Worth it to stay late! We would go again but we would definitely figure out another food plan.

Lakes Park, located in Cape Coral, is a picturesque natural retreat offering a variety of outdoor activities for families. Spanning nearly 300 acres, the park features enchanting nature trails, serene lakes, and well-maintained gardens. Visitors can enjoy biking and walking trails, including boardwalks, as well as opportunities for water sports such as canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Birdwatchers are drawn to the area's diverse wildlife while others appreciate the charming gardens within Lakes Park.
Always fun to go here with the kids. The park trail is big and the kids get to walk/ scooter around freely with no worries of them going into the street. Time goes super fast when you are in here lots to do. We really like it , we hope the water park gets fixed soon the kids really miss it.

So I plan a pleasant day with my granddaughter at the park. Beautiful park for sure. We drop out traps and take a relaxing train ride. Return to find our traps pulled and lines cut. How sad. What could have been a wonderful example of how to feed and provide for oneself became a lesson in how people are horrible. One park employee in passing was astonished himself. I hope this person got enough satisfaction to offset the negative experience they provided for my grand.

Best park in Fort Myers! Love the little train that goes around the park. My son loves the inflatables they put up throughout the year. The trails are great, we always see lots of various wildlife. The playground is unique with lots of fun items for the kids.

This park provides a very enjoyable experience whether you choose to walk the paths, reserve a pavilion or explore the numerous things to do. We had an absolute blast riding the mini train ($10 / person) which quickly transforms you into a kid (if you’re an adult) and provides so much fun as you enter a scale world of area landmarks and other creative features! Although we were a little disappointed that no bicycles were being rented out this particular day (reason unknown), it did not dampen our visit. Well worth the $5 dollars for all day parking!

Hands down the nicest Minor League stadium we have been to. Clearly to big for Minor League baseball, but im su5e ehen the Twins are in town it fills up for Spring Training. Not a bad seat to be found and lots of fun watching the Mighty Muscles win at home.
Paul P — Google review
Minnesota Twins Spring Training Game I recently attended a Minnesota Twins spring training game, and overall, it was a great experience. The game itself was enjoyable, with solid action on the field, and the stadium was clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful, making it an easy and pleasant visit. One notable change this year is that the stadium has completely switched to a cashless system—credit or debit card only. While this might be convenient for some, it felt a bit forced for those who prefer using cash. I also couldn’t help but wonder how many kids are going to end up losing their parents’ credit cards now that cash isn’t an option. It just seems like an unnecessary hassle. Another thing that stood out was the tipping process at concession stands. When you swipe your card for a $9 lemonade (yes, pricey as expected), you’re immediately prompted to add a tip. The awkward part is that the staff member stands there waiting while you make your choice, which can make you feel pressured to tip for a simple transaction. Tipping is great when it’s warranted, but this setup just didn’t feel right. All in all, it was a good game-day experience, but the cashless policy and uncomfortable tipping process took away from the overall enjoyment.

This is a nice, natural, peaceful beach, still recovering from the hurricane. We saw a variety of shore birds and a few shells. Some parking along the access road which you pay for by QR code scan. $2/hour.

Nice beach, with white sand. The mangroves are a little roughed by Hurricane Ian's aftermath by the canal. No bathrooms are available yet.
Ingrid W — Google review
It's not the most beautiful beach around, but it's easy to get to and parking is usually available. I was able to snag a parking spot not too far back from the actual beach at noon on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I personally wouldn't walk barefoot on any of the local beaches or enter the water after Hurricane Ian, but that's my personal preference for what I'm comfortable with. This beach is great for a stroll especially if there is a breeze.

I don’t know what this beach looked like before the hurricane, but it was not swimmable when we were there. The water was murky and there was large debris visible in the beach and water. It is just fine for sunbathing. The trees behind the beach show lots of damage. Plenty of free parking along the road.
Jennifer R — Google review
The beach is still very torn up from the hurricane. In addition there was a red tide when we went, so thousands of dead rotting fish were on shore. Check for a red tide before you go. It's a good spot to watch the sunset. Free parking.

The Railroad Museum of South Florida is an impressive destination featuring model trains, railroad artifacts, and a locomotive simulator. Visitors can marvel at a real-sized train engine parked outside the kids park and appreciate the massive size and power of these machines. The highlight for many visitors is the mini train ride, especially during holidays when it's themed to match the season. While not overly indulgent, those with even a passing interest in trains will find this museum worth visiting at least once.
Great place for train enthusiasts and history lovers. Small but well-maintained, with interesting exhibits and train rides for both kids and adults. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Train rides for adults and children over 6 years old cost $5. Perfect for a family visit. Definitely worth checking out!

Loved it. Cute villages and scenery. Had to pay for parking which was a surprise. Train was 5.00 per person and is 15 minutes. Max weight is 250 lbs. Seats were comfortable with back rests. Ticket booth gentleman said the halloween train is fun and we should come back for it. We look forward to that. The last train today was 2pm which we enjoyed.

The Railroad Museum is a great spot, especially for kids! There are plenty of interactive exhibits, and the friendly staff is always ready to help. It’s filled with fascinating history. The food options are good, but some areas of the museum could use better maintenance. It's a shame because the place has so much potential. Still, a fun and educational experience overall!

This was my first ride on the little train. It was better than I expected. The ride was much longer than I thought it would be and the little towns they had set up along the ride were really nice. There was even a tunnel. We saw an alligator basking in the sun also. Really a fun time was had by all. My mom is 79 and my granddaughter is almost 3 and we all had a good time on the train. I got my granddaughter a small train keychain from the museum store and she carried it around for the next 3 days. All in all it was a really nice treat!
Terri S — Google review
This museum offers a fun train that travels all over the center of the room. The interpretive center is lined with photos of historical train events. This is a wealth of knowledge of locomotives, trains, and rail service in Florida. The 7.5 gauge train offers a ride to kids over 1 years old to adults, but no pregnant women. The 15 minute 1.5 mile ride travels through miniatures of Florida cities set in the 1950s. There is even a burning building! A real locomotive sits outside the museum.
Toni T — Google review
We spend a good time in the train ride and the museum. The tickets at the time of this review was 6 dollars per person, kids smaller than 5 years ride free. The crismas time is beautiful because they add a lot of decoration and lighting and the train ride gets very beautiful and entertaining for kids. I’m going few times per year, but I’m looking forward to go more often. I’m highly recommended, specially if you have small kids.

A railroad enthusiast must-see in Fort Myers, Florida This Special attraction is located inside the Lakes Regional Park which is located off Gladiolus Drive and Old Gladiolus Drive. The park has several places to see and visit. There is a large parking lot so parking should not be a problem. The Railroad Museum and railroad are to the right as you enter. The museum is hard to miss as there is a large railroad engine visible from the parking lot that is across the walkway from a large building that houses the museum. The museum is inside a building behind the jungle gym next to the parking lot. The museum is free. It is a large room with several operating scale trains running around the center and near the roof. There is at least one hands-on display that you can see the operating console for an engineman. There are lots of informational displays situated around the room describing the history of trains and the railroad museum. There is a lot to read and a lot of history associated with trains, Florida, and the Fort Myers area. If you have a chance, I highly recommend spending a few dollars and getting a ticket to ride the train right outside the museum. For any train enthusiast this is a must-see in the area.

The Alliance for the Arts is a dynamic nonprofit arts center situated in southwest Florida, serving as a hub for visual and performing arts since the 1970s. It offers a diverse range of events throughout the year, including gallery exhibitions, art classes, and theater productions. Originally a small community art facility, it has expanded to become an integral part of Fort Myers' cultural scene along McGregor Boulevard. The organization hosts outdoor sculptures, annual festivals, and a green market with performance stages.
We went to the center for a special event in the gallery. First time there and we really enjoyed it. We saw the exhibit with art and toured the facility. The staff was fantastic and very accommodating. Staff was located around to answer questions. We will be back for more events. If you like any type of art, check it out!

We attended the Nude Nocturne event there, and it was very cool! We did buy tickets several days in advance, had no line getting in. The art was beautiful and the entertainment was excellent!
Diane R — Google review
I don’t usually write negative reviews, but I feel other parents should know about our recent experience at Alliance for the Arts’ summer camp. My five-year-old daughter loved the camp last year and was excited to return, but after just two days this year, I had to withdraw her due to serious concerns about sanitation and emotional safety. On the first day, staff made no effort to welcome or comfort her, even after I mentioned she was shy. She later said teachers were tired and didn’t engage with the kids. She didn’t use the restroom because she was afraid to ask and had an accident in the car— something that hadn’t happened in years. I wasn’t informed about her distress until pickup. On the second day, I saw the bathroom was in terrible condition: it smelled strongly of urine and was littered with paper towels and toilet paper. My daughter said, “Mommy, it’s gross.” At pickup, she was crying at a table while staff nearby ignored her. When I asked what happened, a staff member defensively said she just started crying and was fine earlier. This lack of empathy was troubling. My daughter also explained she didn’t ask to use the bathroom because they weren’t allowed if another child was inside. I learned there was a second bathroom in a separate room that neither of us knew about— the a major communication failure for young children. Even more concerning, I saw a sick child crying alone in the bathroom unattended. I emailed the Education Director, who led the camp last year when we had a positive experience. I hoped she would address these concerns and invite my daughter back, but instead I was met with policy and excuses. I received a refund for two days as a “gesture of goodwill” but was charged for the rest of the week and simply told they wished my child the best in her future experiences. At this age, emotional support is as important as safety. Five-year-olds need adults who are emotionally present and responsive. Unfortunately, my daughter’s experience was neither safe nor supportive. Alliance for the Arts is a nonprofit partially funded by local taxpayers, including families like mine. I have supported their events for years but was deeply disappointed by how this situation was handled. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their care and communication going forward.

For a small independent theater I give 5 stars. We have been to good shows and bad shows. Most recently the Clown Bar 2. And on a scale from 1-10 I personally give it a 4 but that's my opinion. It is an independent show So I suggest everyone come visit and give their own opinion! Even though I want my cup of tea it might be yours! There were some patrons that were rolling on the floor in laughter! Personally I showed up and found out that some of the cast knew me in my business life so I refrained from drinking much and felt kinda restricted in my response. But to each their own.

Gannon's Antiques and Art Center consistently impresses visitors with its exceptional collection of antiques. Unlike typical antique malls filled with low-quality items, Gannon's offers high-quality, remarkable pieces that are a perfect addition to any collection or home decor. With helpful and knowledgeable staff, this store stands out in the realm of antique shopping. It caters to a wide range of customers, from casual tourists to serious collectors, providing something extraordinary for everyone at varying price points.
I’ve lived here for so long and I am finally glad I walked into this vintage/antique shop. There are little stores within this giant store. There is something for everyone and everything. It holds beautiful and fascinating pieces that you can spend hours in here and not see the entire store. The owners are wonderful and Matt was extremely helpful and patient when I brought my almost 2 year old to shop. I will definitely be coming here more often! So excited to clean up and hang my new light fixture!!

Coolest antique shop I’ve ever been to. The variety of items and price points is incredible. We spent over 3 hours just going through this place and loved every minute of it.
Jayden D — Google review
I came in today intending to purchase a ring and noticed a sign at the booth that said “20% off.” When I mentioned this at checkout, the cashier responded in a rude and dismissive tone, insisting the sign actually said “20% off marked items only.” I let him know that wasn’t what the sign said, and the manager stepped in to reinforce the same point. After deciding not to purchase the ring, I showed them a photo I had taken of the sign — and it turned out I was right. The manager said he would go double-check, but even after confirming the error, neither he nor the cashier offered an apology for the way I was spoken to. I couldn’t help but notice my Caucasian girlfriend received noticeably friendlier treatment during our visit. I truly hope this was just a misunderstanding, but the difference in how we were treated was hard to ignore. This store has some great items, but the staff could definitely benefit from customer service retraining — especially around how to treat all customers with the same level of respect.

Amazing!!! Biggest antique place I've been to, and they have a ton of high-quality, actual antiques (not "antique-style" stuff that I've found at a few "Antique" places). Its organized very nicely and the staff are very helpful and professional. I would consider this one of Florida's best antique shops. So many things here I've never seen - and so many rare, very high quality items. They have every category any antiquer would need, and way more than 10 antique shops combined in there. Very impressed.
