Bridgeside is a long-standing riverside fixture in Cascade Locks, offering pioneer-style decor and stunning views of the Bridge of the Gods and Columbia River. With over six decades of history, it has become a popular dining destination for tourists and Pacific Crest Trail hikers. The restaurant provides reasonably priced American comfort food such as burgers, Mac and cheese, tenders, fries, fish and chips, Reuben sandwiches, and clam chowder.
Popped into the area to see the Bridge of the Gods and wanted to sit and grab a small bite to eat and sit outdoors. This restaurant has both an inside seating area with gift shop, and an outdoor takeout area where you can order and eat your meal outdoors on the back patio. We ordered a patty melt and it was delicious. Sat outdoors and got a great view of the bridge. The restaurant was clean, nice clean restrooms. Also, outdoors there are several fresh fruit vendors. Really friendly staff. Great experience!

Our favorite place to stop whenever we drive through. The food is always good and the service is quick. And there’s lots to choose from. They have a good kids menu as well and the prices are reasonable. It’s always busy when we are there. They have greats views and I believe some outside seating. I didn’t get a picture of the pie but it is delicious. Some of the best I’ve had anywhere.
April M — Google review
We stayed the night before we departed from Portland. We were leaving town and stopped to take pictures of the bridge in Cascade locks. It was in the parking lot of this place. The place is beautiful inside with local decor. Food was solid. I would highly recommend it.

Thanks to the Best Western Plus Columbia River Inn, my son and I enjoyed our complimentary breakfast here. You order at the cafeteria-style counter, get a number, and sit. When your breakfast is complete, it is cooked to order and brought to you. It has a rustic atmosphere, ample open seating with tables and booths, and incredible views of the River and the Bridge of the Gods. Friendly service and competitive pricing are also provided. A gift and coffee shop is attached. I would definitely recommend it for breakfast.
Nyor M — Google review
Bridgeside is the perfect post-hike stop when exploring the Gorge! The food is hearty and satisfying—exactly what you want after a long day on the trails. Nothing too fancy, just good, filling meals that hit the spot. What makes it even better are the stunning views right outside; eating here feels like part of the Gorge experience itself. It’s become my go-to place whenever I’m out here with friends. Great location, solid food, and unbeatable scenery—can’t ask for more!
Sid — Google review
Food was pretty good. Great views. You order at the counter then take a number to a table of your choice and they'll bring your order to you. Everyone sits at the window booths. In good weather, they also have a patio you can sit on outside. There's also a pretty large gift shop.
Honest R — Google review
We were staying at the lodge for the weekend and decided to try some local spots instead of eating in. This place was our first stop for breakfast and it was awesome. The vibe was super chill with a great view of the bridge, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. I had the chicken fried steak and it was delicioussuper flavorful and cooked just right. I also really liked how easy it was: order at the counter, grab a table, and the food comes out fresh not long after. I live in Vancouver, but I’d happily make the drive back just to eat here again.
Andrey Z — Google review
This is a great stop when you are in Cascade Locks. They have good burgers and American food. They serve breakfast and lunch. There is a small gift shop. Very filling and a tad on the salty side. There are often people selling salmon and/or fruit in the parking lot too!

Brigham Fish Market is a must-visit spot in the Cascade Locks area, offering fresh Columbia River salmon and sturgeon. Owned by members of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, this market follows traditional fishing methods to catch salmon each morning. The friendly staff treats visitors like family and offers samples of their smoked fish.
My son and I saw the reviews online about the Fish Market, which did not disappoint. It was right next to our hotel. The whole town of Cascade Locks is very walkable. My son and I had their clam chowder and fried pickles for an appetizer. The clam chowder was the best I had while visiting the PNW. My entree was the Alaskan halibut and chips; my son had the Shrimp Po Boy. Both were very good. I overlooked that they had locally sourced sturgeon & chips that I would have loved to try. There is low-top and outdoor seating. A cooler in the dining area provides free water with refills. The prices are higher, but on par with the area. Very friendly staff provided prompt service. Craft beer, wine, cider, soda, and lemonade are available. Fresh fish is for sale, so remember your cooler.
Nyor M — Google review
Every thing was delicious we had a large group and service was amazing and quick. The fish n chips halibut was amazing. The Cole slaw is delicious too. Every one had something different and the the talk was everything was delicious.
Denise J — Google review
This was our first time eating here. We were welcomed when we arrived. Staff was so very nice and extremely helpful. We weren't sure what to order but the staff made great suggestions. We were given a sample of the clam chowder and the salmon chowder. Both tasted fantastic but we went with the salmon chowder since we had never had it. We got the Alaskan Halibut fish and chips to share. They brought the salmon chowder out to our table along with little chips of shredded cheese and shredded salmon. That made the chowder even better than it already was. The coleslaw was really good and we ended up bringing the rest back to our campsite. The halibut was delicious is and very moist. We went with the Louisiana coating on the fish. They have plenty of seating outside and a smaller seating area inside, which is perfect on a cold day. They have plenty of seafood to select from, sold by the pound. We were just traveling but we do come into the area every year, so this will be our new place to eat whenever we are in town. Thank you for a great dining experience and the Halloween treat was so nice.
Donna S — Google review
If you’re driving through the Columbia River Gorge and craving seafood, Brigham Fish Market is a must-stop. It’s a cozy, family-run spot with the freshest catch around. The staff were super friendly too! I tried the huckleberry lemonade, salmon dip, and soup and sandwich (grilled cheese & salmon chowder), and honestly, everything was spot-on delicious. The lemonade was perfectly refreshing with that unique huckleberry twist, the salmon dip was rich and smoky (I could’ve eaten it by the spoonful), and the grilled cheese and chowder hit the spot—creamy, hearty, and full of flavor. You can grab a seat inside if you want something casual and comfy, or enjoy your meal outside with a view of the Gorge. It’s the kind of place that feels like a hidden gem, but once you go, you’ll definitely want to come back. My family also ate the ceviche and chips, and the halibut on ciabatta bread and it was so delicious since you know I had to try some too 😂
K 8 — Google review
We stopped here for lunch on a Thursday in August while vacationing in the area. We were at the Sternwheeler and I looked up restaurants on the map and this had good reviews. The building is small and is very much set up like a fish market. We ordered the grilled halibut and shrimp platter. The person taking orders was friendly. We sat outside and one of the tables. It was a beautiful day. We didn’t wait very long for our meals to be brought out. The server was friendly as well. The halibut was good and the ceviche was pretty tasty. I wish there were a few more chips- but it was fine, I had plenty to eat. The shrimp platter was a bigger portion and the shrimp were good. I especially liked the tempura. The prices were comparable to other seafood restaurants we have been to in the area - maybe slightly higher. The atmosphere out side was casual and refreshing. We parked on the street right near the building and I don’t remember seeing meters. Overall this was a good meal.
Miss V — Google review
We ordered the fish & chips, steamed clams, and grilled fish — all very fresh and tasty. But the portions were tiny: three small pieces of fried fish, about 20 tiny clams, and just two pieces of grilled fish. Three dishes weren’t enough for two people.
Dania Z — Google review
Enjoyed a fresh salmon burger on a ciabatta bun with pub fries, house made tartar and an amber lager in a frosty mug! I loved my meal, it was delicious and fresh, and highly recommend! Update! Came back here and had the best halibut fish and chips! Brought back a couple friends and they loved their cod fish and chips, halibut taco and halibut Po Boy!

Big River Grill is a cozy roadhouse in Stevenson, Washington that offers classic American cuisine and a variety of craft beers. The restaurant features wood booths, a long bar, and sports-themed decor for a laid-back atmosphere. Established in 1993, Big River Grill has been delighting both locals and visitors for nearly 30 years with their locally famous salmon chowder, brunch options, craft beer selection, and cocktails.
This restaurant/dive bar was really nice. We had a pleasant lunch after our hike to Dog Mountain. The sandwiches we ordered were good and satisfying. The servers were friendly too. Overall, we had a great experience here.

Was driving through the town and stopped here for a quick lunch- the server and hostess were both very nice and the food was served quickly! Their outdoor patio is dog friendly and the server even offered my pup a bowl of water. The outdoor patio area is very cute and clean! I would recommend if you’re driving through the town and need a spot to stop with your pup! :)

I ordered the smoked salmon Alfredo and it was delicious! My husband ordered Cajun seasoned chicken sandwich and instead of his usual reply of "It's fine." his reply was "Yah, it was good." Our server was nice and respectful and our food came out pretty quick. Next time we are in town we know where to stop!

This is an adorable small town grill that serves amazing food. The spinach artichoke dip was so creamy and had a kick. I had the meatloaf and my husband had the chicken fried dinner. Both so very good. Staff friendly and quick. Thank you

The best salmon cakes I've had. The burger my partner ordered was massive and tasty, and my fish n chips were great. Good service and food was out pretty quick. It looks like the lunch menu might be a bit more limited than the dinner menu, but we weren't disappointed at all.
Christina B — Google review
I've been here many times and usually always get the fish and chips because it's so good, but forced my self to get the peanut chicken to try something new. I was so glad I did, it was so delicious. I could seriously just eat the sauce with a spoon. The salmon cakes and salmon Alfredo were also amazing.

This place was amazing! The gal we had was Mimi. I explained that I was there to meet my godmother, whom I had not seen in years. She has some mobility issues, so she set me up in the perfect spot. I also asked beforehand to make sure I got the bill. She was AMAZING! Pictures, slide hand of the card, taking pictures, all the small stuff. We all enjoyed ourselves, and wish Mimi the best! PS food was great also!

Thunder Island Brewing Co is a must-visit spot for hikers and beer enthusiasts alike. Located near the famous Pacific Crest Trail, it offers a unique experience with its spring beers influenced by mountain biking and the Family Man vibe. The brewery also supports community projects, making it a great place to enjoy delicious brews while contributing to a good cause. In addition to its fantastic beer selection, Thunder Island Brewing Co provides an exceptional dining experience with an Asian-influenced menu and stunning views.
Great beers and fantastic food. There were wide varieties of beer, and I loved the Ya ya ye juicy IPA. There were several vegetarian options and it was delicious. Burgers were very good and they had variety of sauces to pick from. The sweet potato waffle fries are a must to try. The garlic aioli and chipotle aioli were the best. Finally, I loved the water station with stainless steel tumblers.

This place has always been good, but the last few months it really had grown into an even more beautiful space with great staff and food! Family friendly with space for the littles, bar top spaces with TVs, outdoor up and downstairs seating, and the VIEWS! Every dish I’ve had has been amazing and it’s a staple on my travels. I also love the community events they do and the extra thought to have feminine hygiene products in the bathroom! Sometimes it’s the little things that add to the already great experience!

We have been here prior to this visit on 7/26/25. Our first time was great over a year ago. This time was very underwhelming, unfortunately! When we arrived, the greeting staff gave us a possibility of a 25 minute wait even though there were plenty of tables available. They told us they were trying to give their kitchen staff a break because they were understaffed. No problems there. We got our text a little bit later and proceeded to our table. Our server was amazing! He took our order promptly and off he went. We waited and talked for approximately 25 minutes when our server came out and offered us chips and salsa and apologized for the long wait time. Approximately an hour later our food arrived. Even though this was an extraordinary amount of time to wait, we visited with our friends and received our meals peacefully. This is where things went a little haywire. We were a party of four. Two from our party were satisfied. The other two were NOT! I ordered the Patty Mealt. First, the meat on the sandwich wasn't even big enough to cover both halves of the bread. It is supposed to have Grilled Onions on it. While there was an attempt to grill the onions they were NOT. We were extremely underwhelmed! Your staff was absolutely amazing. They did everything to help us and make us feel comfortable! I wish we could give a better rating but overall it was a bad experience! Hopefully they get better because this is a cool spot;

Nice chill spot for a brew and eats after a nice hike. Service is great. Food is decent. Nice little selection of brews on tap.
Josh D — Google review
Cute spot! Beautiful venue and good food. Had a nice agua fresca that was tasty and nice poutine. Poutine was a bit too salty in certain bites but I cleared my plate regardless. Would come here again, nice view of the bridge and river
Alexander H — Google review
Tried a flight of four beers—all were solid, with the red sour being the highlight. There are plenty of first-come, first-serve tables. The vegetarian chili was filling and tasted great, especially for \$10. The river isn’t directly visible, but you can see a bit through the trees. Would return for the red sour.
Y O — Google review
Food and service both excellent. Fantastic fries, and I thought the vegetarian chili was a great value. They have some non-alcoholic drink options too.
S — Google review
I just found the best fries this side of the Mississippi! Sitting at the foot of the Bridge of the Gods with a stunning view of the Columbia River, Thunder Island Brewing offers a clean, relaxing atmosphere—and those amazing fries come with house-made sauces. I had the Bacon Jam Burger, while my girlfriend enjoyed the Ale Poached Pear and Beet Salad. They also have a great selection of handcrafted beers and ciders. With monthly events and outdoor seating (weather permitting), it’s a must-visit spot in Cascade Locks. Trust me, you’ll be glad you stopped by!

Located in a beautiful town, Eastwind Drive-In is a retro diner offering all-day comfort eats, including delicious burgers and ice cream. It's the perfect stop for classic ice cream swirls on hot summer days. The drive-in joint is known for its unbelievably good hamburgers, French fries, and scrumptious ice cream. Despite being busy during lunchtime, the juicy and hot burgers are worth the wait.
Stopped at their drive-thru to get a butter pecan waffle cone for me (one size only) and a small vanilla cone for my dog. They were very sweet and unwrapped it plus gave me a small cup to put it in. Very friendly service. Highly recommend!

So me and my other half were lucky enough to stumble upon this place because we missed our turn. I am really happy we did. Decided to stop and grab a snack after exploring some of the waterfalls in the area. Plus I really love places like this as well have very few left where I am from. First thing I noticed was the cool old sign. Then we saw the line out front and more than a few people enjoying the ice cream cones. We ordered the bacon cheese burger and the large curly fries and medium blackberry shake. The blackberry shake was recommended by the employee that took our order. She told us that it was made from local seasonal berry from that area so I was like that sounds exactly what we wanted. Our order came out really fast and they were fairly busy at the time. I definetly would stop by here again as the burger was a very good size and packed with meat and fresh veggies on a soft bun. The fries were huge and they were cooked to perfection. way better than any corporate clown could make them. Now let’s talk about the blackberry shake. Yes it is that good. The soft serve cones also looked really good but I enjoyed the blackberry shake. Definitely stop by if you are hungry and out in the area. You wont be disappointed.

This is the best place to stop at for a treat after a day in the gorge or at the mountain. Great prices, service, and overall vibe. I haven't had their food yet, but there are many affordable options (burgers, hot dogs, fries, etc). I always get a kids vanilla cone, it's $3 and just the right amount for me to eat before it can melt (it's still a generous portion imo). The line can get quite long. They close at 5pm but we got in line at 5 (it was short this time) and were still able to order.
Trista C — Google review
After a lovely lunch at the fish market, I walked down to the East Drive-in for a sweet treat. I ordered my reasonably priced chocolate/vanilla waffle cone at the order window and picked it up at the next window. I sat outside on a bench and enjoyed my cone, a sunny May afternoon, and the quaint town of Cascade Locks. 🇺🇸

What a gem of a place. Small town joint at it's best. Management was the best ever. He taught my son a great lesson. And my boys loved their 9am ice cream with no line. This is a must stop in Cascade Locks!

Old school drive up / drive thru burger spot with fresh ingredients and solid flavor that sparks your memory of hearty independent burger joints of decades past. Well prepared comfort food and delicious ice cream makes this destination a must when driving thru Cascade Locks.

Amazing place to get a simple ice cream 🍦 with prices that’s at perfect. I would suggest a small or a medium if you’re really up for a challenge. Over all a great experience and the flavor choice is incredible. Will always be stopping by for more with my kids

Busy busy busy!!! Long wait time for food, but not their fault, the line was insane. That just means it’s worth it. Classic old school diner, ice cream fare, including a wonderfully vintage neon sign. Super friendly staff, and we enjoyed what we ordered.

Clark & Lewie's Travelers Rest Saloon & Grill is a historic venue offering steaks, seafood, and cocktails with stunning outdoor patio views. The restaurant serves Northwest flavors in a beautiful waterfront setting and features dishes like Expedition Poutine, elk meat jalapeno poppers, and Trails End Board. Housed in the 1908 Old Saloon building, it provides exquisite food, custom drinks, and breathtaking Columbia River vistas.
Amazing views and amazing food. Enough said, def worth the stop. The salmon on the salad is definitely worth it, and the salmon chowder was incredible as well. Burger was delicious as well as the fried fish. Only complaint is the fries being a little cold, but it’s a mom and pop shop, we were so happy with the good food and views it was hardly a concern Also try some of the local beers! Mixed drinks have vodka that are also made local, the huckleberry vodka drink I got was great
Tejas R — Google review
When you pair pretty good food with an excellent view, it makes for a nice evening. In the city of Stevenson, down at the waterfront, you will find Clark and Lewies. It's off of the main street and sits right along the beautiful Columbia River. I haven't been there in quite some time. It has just reopened after being newly renovated with the outdoor seating being the place where you want to be. We actually sat on the outside of the restaurant where they have many pick-nick tables to choose from. Their covered deck seating is particularly nice. We had the buffalo burger and the salmon wrap, both with sweet potato fries. The burger was described as good but nothing special or very flavorful about it. I thought the salmon wrap had a lot of flavor, and in both dishes, the vegetables were super fresh. The sweet potato fries could have been a little better. They didn't come hot and didn't have any crisp to them, but they were still tasty. You will need to be sure to ask up front for a dipping sauce for your fries and napkins as these were not automatically brought out to us when the food came. The evening was perfect, and the view so serene that these minor criticisms are easily forgotten. We will be back.
INsightful E — Google review
We chose to sit in the back at the patio, the tables and chairs were sticky and dirty, the menus were dirty, the screen for the roof has holes in it so there was water all over the floor from the rain. The onion rings were good and the salmon chowder was good! My husband had the Caesar wrap and he liked it! I had the elk stroganoff and I would say it was just okay, there wasn’t much flavor.

So we celebrated my stepson 16 birthday here yesterday because he is participating in a paddle the Gorge event. This was the closest restaurant that could accommodate any large parties as several other participants in the competition wanted to celebrate along with us. So it went from a small party to over 25 people. They were so great about accommodating us. Our waitress was awesome she took everything in stride and was very nice as far as i know all of the orders came out correctly and i was surprised how fast the food came out. For our little party of 5 we ordered the fish and chips which is made with cod. That was very good according to the person that ordered it and we are from Hawai’i so we can be a little more picky about quality. We also ordered the chicken strips for the birthday boy and the for the rest of our party we had the salmon. Chowder, salad with smoked salmon, Reuben. The fries were perfectly cooked and the Reuben was decent. Not the best I have ever had but it was good. The salad with smoked salmon was really good when paired with the raspberry vinaigrettes vinaigrette. The salmon chowder is on the lighter side it is not as creamy as a typical chowder so if you that’s what you’re expecting you will probably be disappointed. It also did need some salt and pepper. Once seasoned properly it had a great taste to it. i would reccomend this place mostly on service. Most of the food we had was good , i didn’t feel like anything was great. Decent food with outstanding service. The main reason i would come back was for the service and the view.

My dog and I stopped by for a snack post hike. The servers were very kind in directing us to the outdoor patio (perfect in the fall weather!) which I was grateful for. I ordered the burger and huckleberry cider while the pooch and I enjoyed watching the kite boarders. The food was good, the service was good, and the scenery was great. Thank you for having us!

Brandi was amazing! We love her! We were here during one of the live music events. The onion rings were fantastic, the sauces were amazing and the view was wonderful! The sweet potato fries are some of the best I’ve had, and my wife said the wrap was good (stuffed with chicken) just the way she likes it. The classic burger I had was fairly standard for a restaurant burger. Good, but not great. The drinks were amazing though! 10/10 would come here again!

Every staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful. Angie in the gift shop was so sweet. The front desk and hosts for the restaurant also went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. The hotel is very kid-friendly and welcoming for little ones. We will absolutely be returning for the beautiful views and incredible accommodations.

We stayed here as it was recommended due to the location of a wedding we were attending. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the views from the lobby were truly amazing. The hotel has a cozy, lodge-style atmosphere, though it is on the dim side. Unfortunately, the rooms felt dated and the beds were uncomfortable. While we can see why some people love this hotel, it just wasn’t the right fit for us.
Rob M — Google review
My wife and I stayed here for two nights to celebrate our anniversary, and overall we were very happy with our experience. We visited from Friday to Sunday, and the lodge was bustling with guests and events, including two weddings. Check-in was quick and easy, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The only downside right away was the $15 per night parking fee, which felt unnecessary. We booked a Superior River King room on the third floor, which had an incredible view of the gorge. The room itself wasn’t huge, but it was clean, cozy, and perfect for the two of us. With views that stunning, I only wish the rooms had floor-to-ceiling windows to really take it all in. The newly renovated pool and spa areas were a highlight. The pool is large and beautiful, and the outdoor hot tub was especially relaxing, surrounded by trees and the sound of a waterfall feature. There’s also an indoor hot tub, plus additional hot tubs and saunas in each locker room—plenty of options to unwind. The lodge offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but prices are on the higher side, as you’d expect at a resort. We ended up heading into Stevenson just a quick 5-minute drive away to try some local restaurants, which turned out to be a great choice. One small inconvenience was the lack of bottled water in the room. At night I found myself wandering the resort trying to find some, only to discover the vending machines were out. Eventually, I came across a water fountain on my floor, but it would have been nice to have bottled water provided. All in all, I’d recommend this lodge to anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest in a peaceful, relaxing setting.

Overall a great experience. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and what you’re paying for. It would be nice if there were more bar/ restaurant options as the menu was a bit lack luster. Service at check in and throughout the stay was wonderful. Dog friendly which was a major plus.

We came for an anniversary getaway and had a wonderful time. The customer service was excellent—there was a mix-up with our room type that we discovered after checking in, but the hotel manager, April, went above and beyond to make it right. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. The food at the Cascade Dining Room was outstanding—one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time, especially the pork chop and lava cake. We were looking for a place where we could both relax indoors and enjoy nature, and this spot delivered. Between the hikes, golf, and outdoor fire pit, it was exactly what we needed.

Very nice stay, especially with the fall colors. Reminded me of Yosemite, which is a very high compliment. The treehouse was a very private space, nice balcony, warm fireplace that sat in the outside wall so it heated the balcony and the inside. They even had a s'mores kit for roasting marshmallows in the fire.

Good: I love the location, the staff were friendly and it’s a really nice lodge. The room was clean! Bad: it’s a dumb TV! Meaning there were no streaming options for the TV. Nobody wants to flip through channels anymore, get with the times! Thermostats are battery powered and my room’s thermostat batteries were dead upon arrival. They fixed it with though, it was just kind of annoying.

I wish I could give Skamania a better rating but after this last experience with their customer service / reservations department, I've had enough. We were looking to book a room for a few night stay during the most recent sale for me and my extended family and I reached out before the end date since I was having trouble finding the discounted rooms through their website and the person on the phone said he tried to reach the front desk twice and was going to email them, telling them my issue and assured me that they would have no problem booking me a room at the discounted rate once they got back to me. So they emailed a short sentence saying "that sale ended already!" and that was it...so I emailed back, explaining what THEIR rep said and they continued to send one line emails, which made me feel like I was in the wrong.

Gorges Beer Co. in Cascade Locks offers a unique experience with its Yoga + Beer event, featuring a 60-minute yoga class followed by the opportunity to enjoy a pint of beer. The establishment also provides delicious meals and excellent service on its upper patio. With a tapas menu created by a Portland chef, original and outstanding beer selection, and an open and airy ambiance with multiple levels to choose from, including a rooftop bar/deck with an incredible view, Gorges Beer Co.
My husband and I had our destination wedding reception here and it was the absolute best experience!! The managers were very flexible and easy to work with - they also worked really well with our wedding planner who was from out of state. They provided chairs to the off site venue and had employees manage the gate for entrance. We got SO MANY compliments on the food - everyone was saying it was hands down the best food they had ever had at a wedding. There was also ample volumes of food for everyone! The staff were so polite, helpful, and attentive. The ambiance on the upper deck was perfect for our small wedding, and they accommodated my request for a family style dinner. It was the best experience my husband and I could have asked for! Definitely consider Gorge's for your next event or wedding!!

I can't say enough good things about Gorges Beer as a top-tier wedding venue in the Columbia River Gorge. The location is beautiful and the owner and staff are the absolute best team to work with. I'm not only a local photographer, but I also frequent this area of the gorge in my leisure time. Gorges Beer is one of my favorite locations for both a post-hike fantastic meal, and a wedding venue to shoot at. The whole team is a joy to work with. They make the process of planning and setup for an event super easy and fun. The food is MAGNIFICENT. Seriously. This place has some of the best food I've ever eaten at a wedding ever. The venue size is super versatile too. From micro weddings to larger 100+ guest weddings, this place can do it all. Also, this location is superb. Cascade Locks is a bit underrated in my opinion. It's small, but has so many wonderful little places. And this venue itself is so close to so many amazing trails (less than 10 minutes from my own personal favorite waterfall in the gorge). Which makes a quick little getaway for some "just us" time for a couple on their wedding day super easy. All in all, this is a marvelous choice for anyone wanting to get married in the gorge who wants great views, amazing food and drink, easy to work with management, access to nature, and the most relaxed and enjoyable wedding experience you can find.

My husband and I just got married here last week. Everything from the planning, their team, the tastings, service...anything you could think of that's part of a venue booking, they knocked straight out of the park. Travis, Kelly, and their team were sooo incredible and attentive. ALL of our guests had an incredible time + were so impressed with the service, food, drinks, and the VIEWS. This place will forever hold a special place in our hearts and all we can say is if you're in the area, please please please stop by, you won't regret it ♡

The food is 10/10. We tried a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. I would definitely stop here again just for the food. The service was friendly, but very slow and inattentive. Seems like mostly teenagers working their first job. Hopefully with time and experience, the service will get better.

Great venue! Great beers (especially the IPAs). Friendly, chill staff.Able to accommodate large groups. Amazing views on the third floor. Clean unisex bathroom facilities. Modern and cozy seating.

The beer is delicious, the building is amazing, and the staff was great. I hate giving bad reviews but didn't see an email that worked on the website. Who on earth picked the furniture for this place? I've never sat on more uncomfortable chairs / bar stools. Did someone really go to a restaurant show and say - "Let's pick the hard metal stool that is 8 inches wide and has a 4"inch back? It's a dang shame.. after sitting at the bar we went to the outside. Views are amazing. This place has so much potential. Food - I'd guess the burger was a Sysco/US Food Service patty. Minimize your menu and pump out something good.

Highly recommend hosting your wedding or event at Gorges Beer Co! We recently had our wedding at Gorges Beer Co. and they were amazing. The venue is beautiful and their staff are all fantastic. We received multiple comments from guests on how kind they were and how smooth everything went. Kelli in particular was a life saver! Throughout the whole process she was so responsive and helped answer any questions. We had some weather changes and she was so patient and made last minute changes to move our reception inside. We are so grateful for her and the whole team at Gorges Beer co. Our wedding was perfect and we can’t recommend them enough!

Nestled along the serene banks of the Columbia River, Wilder and Pine Riverside Cabins offers a charming country-style retreat perfect for those looking to escape into nature. Guests can choose from cozy rooms or fully-equipped cabins, each featuring inviting gas fireplaces and complimentary Wi-Fi to keep you connected during your stay. The lodge is not just about comfort; it also serves as a gateway to explore the local culinary scene, with nearby restaurants that highlight fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers and artisans.
We stayed here for our 10 year anniversary and loved how cute and cozy it was. Loved that we were able to check-in a little early and the process was so easy. Enjoyed our time in the cabin and loved the soaking tub on the back patio, with the view of the river. We did hear quite a few trains go by throughout the night and morning, which didn’t bother us at all. Was not a fan of the cabin above us (cabin 7 I think?). They had tons of kids running around and up and down the stairs making it hard for us to enjoy and relax. Lots of thuds and thumping and super inconsiderate to us below them. The neighbor right next to us had a dog with them that kept barking when we were using the soaking tub, so we didn't get to use it very long the evening we got there, but we were able to enjoy it the next morning because the dog was quiet and did not continue to bark. Loved that there was a small record player in the cabin, but wish there was a bigger selection of records in the room and the lounge area. We did really like how close it was to all the breweries and restaurants. Definitely want to come back with friends next time!
Malika O — Google review
The cabins are wonderful. The hot tubs are amazing. The view is beyond incredible. Melissa was beyond helpful at every moment of our stay and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. There seems to be a lot of reviews whining about the price. If you can't afford to stay, then book a motel. That's a personal choice. This place is worth the money.

My wife booked the solo cabin for a birthday weekend trip. The area was beautiful and at first the wood log cabins looked great both outside and in! But after being there for a bit, I noticed cob webs in several spots (corners, lamp shades, etc) and the private hot tub with a great view was virtually unusable. It was blistering hot; just putting my foot in for a few seconds make it feel like it was on fire. The cabin managements’ advice? Just put some cold tap water in it to cool it down. After putting in a dozen large pots of cold water in it, the temperature was unchanged. The fact that their advice is to just “put cold water in it” to cool it down is horribly laughable and poor customer service. This is why I gave them a 2/5 stars.

Waterfront property is perfect for party's and celebration! I suggest the king suite right on the river. The boats docking near by add to the chill entertainment as you soak in the hot tub and enjoy a local beer or wine. The brew pub is less than a 10 min walk so brew and bubz are available without a DD! Yard and park area right on the side of the building and less than a 1/4mile from the port and windsurfing area! Great place 10 of 10 highly suggest!

I had the pleasure of staying at the cabins for a long weekend trip as part of a big group that rented out the whole place! It was the BEST weekend! The cabins were all so cute and cozy. The place was very clean and the beds were comfortable! The location was stunning - right next to the river with the most beautiful view and within walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and shopping! The manager, Lisa, was SO kind and thoughtful. She restocked coffee every day to ensure we never ran out and was there for anything we needed. Our group was a rowdy bunch and Lisa was still so incredibly kind. I can’t recommend staying here enough - I will be coming back!!

If you’re looking for a place where you can park a full sized truck, this is not it. If you’re looking for a place with working outlets, working furnace, and working bathroom fan this is not it. If you’re looking for a place with clean pillows, clean shower, and a hot tub with jets, this is not it. We had high expectations mainly due to the price and we only stayed one night, luckily. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I would hope that the management will see this and address it for future guests.
Skyla D — Google review
The first, most important aspect to note in this review is: THE CABINS HAVE AC!  The website hasn't yet been updated, but each cabin has a new, modern portable-style AC unit installed which vents out the window. This was a big relief, as the listing indicated "NO AC" and as my trip approached, the forecasted temperature at the Gorge kept increasing into the 90's, so I was concerned how I would keep cool.  But, I needn't have worried!  The portable was a little on the loud side but quite effective. I stayed for two nights in cabin #5, and had a comfortable, relaxing stay! I can't say enough good things about the location, it's literally right on the river, and most if not all of the units have at least partial river views.  In addition to the view from the porch, the property walks out onto public waterfront park with numerous benches, playgrounds, etc.  Lots of people windsurfing directly from the beach next door. Physically, most of the cabins are house-shaped units with three units, two downstairs and one upstairs.  The downstairs units share a hot tub on a wooden porch overlooking the river; the upstairs unit had a balcony. The hot tub is really nice, it's large, tiled inside with a sort of whirlpool effect.  Sweet. Huge props for being a friendly, welcoming place which facilitates relaxation and enjoyment -- all these Airbnb type rentals drive me crazy with 100 signs about what not to do and complicated instructions of how to clean and prepare for the next guess, like what's the cleaning fee even FOR?  None of that here at Wilder and Pine, thanks for that. Great jumping off point for adventures, I did some FANTASTIC hikes in close proximity to the cabin and can't wait to return for more. Stevenson itself is a charming small town, easy to walk around, the cabin is close to restaurants, shops, and a full-service supermarket.  Regular river cruise traffic at the dock keeps local businesses going more than you'd think for a population of only 1,500, but it's still a small town; don't expect any national chains. The one nice restaurant on the river was closed both days of my visit, one for a scheduled day off, one for a "staff emergency." Oh, the train tracks are RIGHT beside the property, like, close enough to see the contents of the cars.  It's a "no-whistle" zone but you WILL hear the trains at night, as well as river barge traffic.  For me it's peaceful and pleasant, but if that isn't you, expect to use earplugs (provided), noise cancellation, etc. Only constructive criticism, such as it is: * Wifi really spotty, I did not have good luck with either device and mostly just used mobile data, no issue for me but FYI * Coffee maker in cabins and in Lounge are higher-end Keurigs, but K-cups provided are some cheap store brand and just terrible, I ended up buying beans and using the camp coffee press I had in my car * Kitchenwares are all there, but extremely basic; suggest bringing knives and tools with you if your idea is to really cook full meals, it's not like the kitchens at beachside rental houses or something * Installing some screens would be really nice, either on doors or big windows!  I'm kind of a fresh air fanatic and, there was only one screened, opening window; I tried opening the door to let some cross-ventilation a bit but too many bugs * When can I come back?

My wife and I stayed in cabin 8 for our anniversary. We reached out via email Friday night as our blanket had blood stains on it. We got a reply saying that blankets would be brought after our check out time. We found another blanket in the Ottoman and that also has a blood stain on it. We spent two nights without a blanket. I would like a refund as I do not believe it's fair to pay after our experience. There are other things that were unacceptable as well; dirty cups and no soap to wash them, burnt out light bulbs inside which made it very dark and hard to read, lots of dust bunnies under the bed by head board, cobwebs above bathroom door, and the hot tub was filthy. I spent an hour scooping out debris to get it clean enough to use. I did not get a refund but offered a 10% discount for our"next visit" which will not happen. Do not stay here it's gross.

Easy to plan and find, great communication with our hosts. We have the pleasure of working with Cam to book The Dinner Cruise reservation! Cam had done an exceptional job in booking us a very romantic evening and making an exception on a very sold out cruise. He accompanied and ensured us we’d have a great wedding anniversary aboard. We truly felt so lucky and had the best experience. Once we boarded the cruise we were instantly welcomed by Sami who was so incredibly kind and sincere! Sami made our experience truly unforgettable. She was attentive, thoughtful, and accommodating - my husband and I kept saying “I feel like we’re on a private dinner cruise right now.” Sami made the experience extra special. The sunset, the views, and of course the 3 course meal… my goodness it was delicious! We can’t thank this group enough for your hospitality, kindness, and generosity. It was everything we hoped for and truly more than we ever expected. The crew were just so kind and helpful, and as locals we were thoroughly blown away! They made us feel that it was a private event just for us! This crew deserves more than 5 STARS!! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!!!!!! Genuinely!!!!

We did a west loop tour on the Sterneheeler after checking out waterfalls on a Thursday in early August. I had looked at tickets online to see if they were sold out and they were not so we just bought them onsite right before the start time. We did an afternoon tour and it lasted about an hour. We sat on the middle deck outside in the front of the boat. In August it was somewhat cool and a bit windy in the way out but not as cold or windy once we turned around to come back. Tickets were $55 per person with a small credit card processing fee so about $113 total. I thought this was a good price for an hour in the river and also at the end of that hour, we could have stayed on and did the next tour which was the east loop but we were hungry so we didn’t do that. There is food and drink available to purchase while you are on the tour. We didn’t not get anything. We did have our own water that we were allowed to bring onboard. All staff we interacted with were friendly. The captain was good with giving descriptions of everything and providing information and history about the gorge. There is parking onsite and I think it was $2 or $3 to park. I really don’t remember but it wasn’t much. There is also a Mexican restaurant there - it will look like you are going into the restaurant to check in and get back to the loading area. We don’t eat there afterwards we went down the street a mile or so for lunch. We enjoyed the is ride on the river.

Really glad we did this while visiting the waterfalls. The captain was super informative and a real gentleman. He even let the kids sit in the captains seat and turn the rudder. Drinks were well made and it was a beautiful day on the gorge with great views of the river, the homes, the bridge and the native fishing platforms we even saw a local show us her huge salmon. Many sell these for added income. Make a day by adding the bonneville dam to see the fish loader and under water viewing windows. That was amazing.

This was our second adventure upon the Sternwheeler and once again, it was another very enjoyable day with an outstanding Crew, History, Food and Beverages. Looking forward to planning another trip before the summer is over. We have done the Brunch Cruise and recently the Expedition Cruise. The next one we are looking forward to doing is the Bonneville Dam Lockage Tour. Highly recommend for a very inexpensive enjoyable experience

The Sternwheeler Cruise in the Columbia Gorge is nothing short of magical. If you’re looking for a unique way to experience the natural beauty and rich history of the Pacific Northwest, this is it. From the moment we stepped aboard, it felt like stepping into a different era—where relaxation meets breathtaking scenery at every turn. The vessel itself is charming and authentic, with that classic paddlewheel elegance that makes the journey feel special. We chose the sunset cruise, and the views were absolutely spectacular. Towering cliffs, lush forests, and the mighty Columbia River created an unforgettable backdrop. Whether you’re seated on the open-air deck or enjoying the view from inside, there’s no bad seat on this ride. The commentary during the cruise was informative without being overwhelming—full of fascinating historical tidbits and stories about the region, Lewis & Clark, and the significance of the Gorge. It added a lot of depth to the experience and gave us a true appreciation for the area. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. The crew was outstanding—friendly, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do. From answering questions to offering photo tips, they went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and well taken care of. And the bartender not only made us great drinks, she was also fun to talk with! There was also an option for a brunch cruise, which I’ve heard are fantastic and plan to try next time. Whether you’re a local looking for a relaxing day trip or a visitor wanting to experience the beauty of the Gorge from the water, the Sternwheeler Cruise is an absolute must. Highly, highly recommend—this is one of those rare experiences that combines nature, history, and hospitality in the best possible way. We can’t wait to go back and visit them again!

Locks Waterfront Grill is an organic, locavore eatery situated at the Marine Park visitors center. Visitors can enjoy outdoor seating with a great view of the river. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, providing excellent service during the 2-hour cruise. The captain shares interesting insights about the river and its history, making it an educational experience for all ages. While enjoying delicious food like the blue cheese burger, guests can appreciate the beautiful scenery from the outdoor seating area.
Loved it, took the 6pm 2hr cruise and it was great, friendly knowledgeable staff (thank you Carlos) the food was a 8 out of 10 but the service was great. The Captain is friendly and really knowledgeable about the river and its history which was a solid bonus for me, its kid friendly and wheelchair friendly too, the bathrooms are ok but busy. Its very well managed and the crew is on it and fun to watch as they execute their duties. We had alot of fun and the price 190.00 for 2 including dinner, dessert and a beverage is a bargain. I'd rate this day a solid 10 out of 10 and id recommend it to everyone.

Took the 2 hour cruise yesterday. This was my 4th cruise, so I knew what to expect. Great views and friendly staff. Great way to relax. This year, the city has imposed a parking fee of $5. I guess it was to be expected, thanks to shutting the state down for a year and a half. I would suggest the Sternwheeler offering a free parking pass, with the purchase of the 2 hour cruise. It might promote the longer cruises. Just my opinion. All in all, it was a great afternoon and I will return for future cruises. The scenery is spectacular and the fresh air, a welcome bonus. Masks, or social distancing was at your personal discretion. As it should be.

Nestled within the picturesque Cascade Locks Marine Park, Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant has quickly become a must-visit spot for both locals and travelers alike. This newly opened gem offers stunning views of the Gorge, making it an ideal destination for families looking to enjoy a delightful meal together. The restaurant has transformed the former visitors center into a stylish dining space that exudes warmth and charm.
We had to come down and check out the new IXTAPA Mexican Restaurant in our hometown. They did an amazing job transforming the visitors center into a very classy, family restaurant. As most of you are aware, I am not a huge connoisseur of Mexican cuisine, but their food was awesome and the service was wonderful. I think this is going to be the perfect addition to Cascade Locks, and I would expect it to be a big success. I would highly recommend it to everyone, both residents and travelers.

My husband and I ate lunch at Ixtapa after hiking in the Gorge and we have a new favorite restaurant in Cascade Locks. The menu has much more variety than a typical Mexican restaurant. I'm always trying to eat more vegetable and the Spinach Burrito filled the bill deliciously. The grilled vegetables are rolled in a flour burrito and covered in a green sauce with dollops of guacamole and sour cream. It is big enough for three meals. Plus the outstanding cup of coffee was served in a cute Mexican-style mug. My husband had the basic chicken enchilada plate that was fine but not nearly as exciting. He should have ordered the mole enchiladas. Maybe next time!

I enjoyed the seafood enchiladas and the beautiful view of course, as well as the tasty martini. But I did not appreciate the service, I was a party of 1 and felt like I was judged and extremely rushed so they can serve other people with bigger parties.. I’m talking 3 different people came to my table asking me “how are you doing” every 5 minutes, yet had to ask twice for things and she knocked down my silverware. That’s telling to me, if you’re gonna continue to ask you gotta deliver. I felt harassed and it ruined the experience. I just ended up asking for a box after the 5th time. I felt like I had to ask to finish my drink after I packed up my food. Smh

We've been looking for a good Mexican American restaurant and alternative dining options to the few places available in the greater North Bonneville, Cascade Locks, Stevenson triangle. This is the spot. The only decent Mexican food restaurant in the region, and was exactly what we were looking for. Food was as expected, it was not five star worthy, but good, and standard Mexican American food fair. The service was excellent, if not overbearing, with several people frequently asking us how we were doing if everything was okay if we needed anything else, all that. The location in atmosphere are what really make this place awesome. Right on the Columbia River waterfront, the Columbia Sternwheeler coming and going as we were dining. Views are excellent, outside seating in the summertime, clean and cozy inside. Will definitely be going back frequently, do recommend!

Mount Hood BBQ is a popular food truck that attracts customers from afar with its fantastic BBQ offerings. The pulled pork and brisket sandwich are particularly praised for their amazing flavors, complemented by delicious sauces and sides like coleslaw and mac and cheese. The portions are generous, making it a satisfying dining experience. Customers appreciate the convenience of ordering online and the friendly service provided by the staff.
The cashier has always been incredibly nice. Having them at mt hood meadows has been a welcome addition. Have had breakfast and lunch there and it’s been great. Ham egg and cheese is really great option in the morning.

Drove about an hour to check this place out, heard good things and good BBQ isn't easy to find. I'm glad to say that this was definitely worth the trip. The brisket sandwich was absolutely fantastic, the person running the truck was very friendly, and it was an all around pleasant experience. Will visit again.

I drive an hour just to get BBQ from this food truck! It's fantastic and being able to order online is so nice, especially while we're on our way. The pulled pork was amazing and the sauce was great. The coleslaw was delicious and savory, even after surviving the drive back. Also, the portions were huge (see my picture of the burnt ends with coleslaw.) Everything was just... awesome. Easy parking too.
