Walking in the location and atmosphere was excellent. Unfortunately this is the only good thing about our visit. The food was extremely disappointing on our first visit (dinner) - the crab risotto had no visible crab in it and was tasteless and watery; the seafood pasta was also lacking in any flavour. The cherry on top was that we were also charged for a full bottle of water even though the waiter had shared this bottle across three tables.
We were staying at LUX Belle Mare and were gifted free pizza as part of our package. Our second visit for lunch was redeeming. Their pizzas were fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. Would go back for pizza but not recommended for seafood.
We've eaten here twice nice (for lunch and for dinner) and it has been fantastic both times! The staff are very friendly, the food is so fresh and delicious, and the views are absolutely sensational! It's such an incredible place. They are so helpful with food allergies and additional dietary requirements. They make you feel truly valued. I love how it is transformed and lit up in red for the evening meal!

Absolutely gorgeous place. Rated best restaurant in Belle Mare and I can see why! We were staying at another 3 star hotel just down the beach and decided to spoil ourselves with a nice dinner. It was quite pricey, but totally worth it. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
My tomato and basil pasta was fantastic and I can definitely recommend the Black Forest Cup for dessert. One of the most delicious things I've ever tasted. (Berry Panacotta was not great and the Lamb Shank had a strange sweet sauce, but the meat was cooked to perfection!)
One of the better restaurants in this are with great food and service. The bar offers some very interesting cocktails, that we enjoyed pre-dinner. We had a great time overall. Do remember to make a reservation first.
The service was extremely slow, and the taste was disappointing and not worth it. They also delayed in bringing the bill.

We had the pleasure of celebrating my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary at Amari by Vineet, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything was exceptional.
The food was absolutely divine – the biryani in particular was some of the best we’ve ever tasted, rich in flavour and perfectly cooked. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic Indian spices, all served in a stunning, elegant setting that added to the experience.
A special mention must go to Vishal, our waiter for the evening, who went above and beyond to make the occasion feel extra special. His attentiveness, warm hospitality, and expert knowledge of the menu made us feel genuinely cared for. He struck the perfect balance between professional and personal – a true credit to the restaurant.
Without a doubt, Amari by Vineet is one of the finest Indian dining experiences in Mauritius. We’ll definitely be returning – and recommending it to everyone we know. Top tip is to book way in advance!
We have just had a special meal at Amari and it was phenomenal. The moment you arrive, you're given a traditional welcome before going into the restaurant which is a really special way to start the whole experience. The atmosphere is incredible (there is a beautiful painted mural across the walls and ceiling). The staff go above and beyond to make sure that you are feel welcome and that you have everything you could need and want. The service is sensational. The food is breathtakingly beautiful and so delicious (we'd definitely recommend the dark chocolate-roasted cumin tart). The fusion of flavours is astounding and it all tasted incredible. I loved how the staff explained the different foods, flavours and traditions. We were made to feel so valued and it is an amazing experience that we will remember and treasure forever. A fine dining Japanese/Asian restaurant with a set menu. The food is delicious, and the service is exceptional. It's well worth a trip to this resort just to eat at Hasu.
I must express my utmost admiration for the culinary experience I had; it was nothing short of an extraordinary. Every dish was a masterpiece 11/10, bursting with flavor and creativity. A huge thank you to the chefs and the waiters for their impeccable service and dedication to delivering such an incredible dining experience. I can’t wait to return!

We had an absolutely AMAZING dining experience at Hasu Restaurant in Long Beach. Chef David and his assistant Latisha went above and beyond to cater to our requests and we were truly impressed by the incredible Vegeterian Sushi and beetroot starter they created. The food was outstanding, beautifully crafted and full of flavour! Their warm hospitality made the evening even more memorable. 3rd time we went there and nothing has changed - they maintain a consistency in service and quality. Everything is made fresh and any kind of ingredient used is meant to be tasted and felt and when you eat - challenge respected!
Seasoning is used as it should and not to cover the center piece as l often like to highlight. And this is a plus. What also sends me back there every time is the ambience and the team - warm, cosy, intimate. The team is always mind that you obtain a great welcome and service - you feel they care for how you are going to experience the restaurant. Love it!

As a couple, we went to Hasu for dinner and had an unforgettable experience! Chef Ritesh’s culinary skills are truly remarkable—the flavors and presentation of every dish were perfect. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The cozy and inviting ambiance made our evening extra special. A big thank you to Chef Ritesh and the entire Hasu team for such a wonderful experience! Highly recommend!
We had dinner at Hasu in Mauritius on our honeymoon. Chef Ritesh created a vegan four course menu for us and it was superb! As vegans we have never experienced Japanese cuisine at this standard and the whole experience was incredible filled with unique, creative and flavourful dishes. To top it off our server Elvis made the evening even more special with his attention to detail and friendly nature. Highly recommend.

We stopped by for dinner very spontaneously. It didn‘t take longer than 5 minutes from requesting a table to having been seated and looking at the menu.
The staff is super attentive, the atmosphere among the best we had in our first few days on the island. Very modern, elegant, clean and tidy. The food was a solid 4/5 for Italian cuisine.

An excellent Italian restaurant — I enjoyed most of the dishes, and I do have some experience with Italian cuisine since I love the country and often travel there. I highly recommend it. Honestly, I could dine only there during my stay.

Really looking forward to this meal. Menu Limited on all inclusive, but ok. Starter good main course wife had pizza, I had tenderloin both looked great. As soon as we finished the starter main appeared, both Luke warm. Asked waiter to change the pizza. He disappeared, so asked another waiter the same, he asked if he should warm it up or did we want a fresh one. We left, not what you expect in any restaurant. Disappointed
This is a beautiful Italian restaurant located within Ambre Hotel ans Resort. Lovely atmosphere. The interior designs are top notch and the meals are OK with plethora of options.
It's recommended to make a reservation the day before or by 10am of the same day. This is a popular restaurant with tourists and guests of of the resort. As a result, it can get really busy and crowded.
Well, I'm not a fan of Italians meals so, I went for the safest option by ordering Spaghetti Bolognese. The starter also, wasn't really giving.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our visits here. The food has been really nice. Worth trying the salads and the make your own pasta and pizza. Massive thank you to Natasha who has been super helpful and friendly whenever we've visited. Thank you to Shalinee and Roma as well. Everyone always remembered our drink orders and made us feel very welcomed.

Bad experience. I don’t know why this place has this high rating. I ate there once. Shrimp salad and octopus curry. The shrimp doesn’t taste right. And octopus was too dry, average cooking. When I got back home, bad diarrhea. Not recommended.

The restaurant manager and his staff provide excellent service at Chopsticks. The Asian cuisine is enjoyable, although there are suspicions that some dishes may not be completely authentic. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cool and inviting. However, it's important to note that there may be a wait for food even when the restaurant is not busy, but this inconvenience is negligible considering the high quality of the food.
Food is great, staff are amazing and vibe is cool.

Great service from the restaurant manager and his staff. Loved the Asian food, though I suspect some of it isn't authentic. Chopsticks has a cool atmosphere. Keep in mind that you need to wait awhile to get your food, even when the restaurant isn't full. Not a big deal given the quality of the food. Our orders were mixed up, so in compensation we got a complimentary dessert.

Really lovely pan-Asian restaurant within Long Beach hotel. Good choice of dishes across Chinese Thai Indian options. Sizeable portions and you will not be hungry. Atmosphere and service excellent.

The Italian restaurant Sapori, situated at Long Beach, offers delectable cuisine that is delightful. The penne, although the source of origin is unknown, is delicious. The food's overall excellence matches that of the hotel's quality. The staff members are incredibly skilled and display utmost professionalism. Their service deserves a perfect rating of five stars. Sapori caters to couples as well as families and larger groups, making it an ideal choice for any occasion or gathering.
While our stay at Long Beach we ate twice at Sapori. Pizza, pasta, lasagna and cream soup were really tasty and the serving outstanding.

If it wasn’t for the incredible burrata & yummy desserts I wouldn’t necessarily go here again.
We got seated pretty quickly but after that the service was really slow, everything took long, we had our starters before we even got the drinks menu.
For mains we had Arabiatta pasta & chicken Picatta (the chicken was VERY dry and lacked flavour)
For desserts we had tiramisu & afogatto
We had a great last evening at Sapori. Our waiter Ritesh was very helpful and awesome as ever. We really enjoyed both lunch and dinner at during our stay.
We had many, many lunches here and the were all equally as wonderful but my goodness, dinner was next level. Classics like bed carpaccio and buratta salad executed perfectly. The risotto is cooked to perfection. Possibly one of the best margarita pizzas I’ve ever had and the mushroom stuffed chicken was sublime! The food at every restaurant in the hotel is exceptional.

Amazing Italian restaurant located at Long Beach. Their food is scrumptious. I don't know if their penne is made in-house, but it tastes great. The food quality is on par with the quality of the hotel. Their staff are very professional. Service is definitely 5 stars. Sapori is perfect for couples, families and larger parties.

Very good Chinese restaurant within the hotel. The portion size was excellent and the service friendly and attentive.
The char siu pork buns were great, as were the Peking duck and the deep fried prawns - strongly recommend those dishes. Kung pao chicken, crispy pork belly and prawn claypot were also good.
The portion sizes for the mains are very good!
I had dinner in the Duck Laundry with 4 other adults and a baby on the 1st February 2024. It was disappointing, we expected a 5 star experience. I would say it was 3.5 star but I have rounded it down.
When we booked, we were told we couldn’t book as late as 1930 and had to take an 1845 booking. There was no one in the restaurant when we arrived and for quite some time - no atmosphere. By 2030 when we left it was only about 1/3rd full. It don’t think they have a policy against a babies because we dined 2 nights previously in Amari by Vineet and there were two other families and it was a great experience for the 5 of us and the baby. I gave it a 5-star review on google.
The food was good, but for the price it was poor value. Except for our Dim Sum choices, it was quite ordinary. I expected the Peking Duck to be excellent, but it wasn’t that good, it wasn’t juicy and the skin wasn’t that crisp.
What really rankled was my experience with the wine menu. I ordered the rose off the first page of the wine menu which is usually where the house wines would be located. It was mostly my fault, I read it as 1,500 not 15,000 Rupees. I got a shock when I got the bill. I am pretty sure the menu didn’t use the comma which would have helped me. The waiter knew that I was shocked but I didn’t make a scene as I accept the responsibility. It was just a sour note to end the meal on.
Duck Laundry is an amazing Chinese Restaurant located in the beautiful LUX* Belle Mare resort - and let me tell you it is an absolute must visit if you are fond of Chinese cuisine! The first time we went there, we were overwhelmed with the wonderful ambience, fantastic authentic dishes and the attentiveness of the staff! We then came back two more times to try the other amazing dishes and like before, it was absolutely delicious.
A special thanks goes to Kishan and a big thank you to Tang, to bring authentic Chinese cuisine to Mauritius. Hope to come back soon!
We had dinner here while staying at the hotel. Otherwise it’s just too far to go for dinner if you don’t live on the east of the island.
The service was flawless. The food is really delicious. I had the the shrimps as starter, yummy; roasted duck as main, very good. The dessert was not incredible in terms of taste but the presentation was good.

Beelur was so kind and professional and assisted us with all our needs. He really made sure that we'll enjoy every moment of our time there.
The food was superb. Delicious and so special. There is also a very nice vegetarian selection (and a very high awerness to any specific dietary requests).
We highly recommend this restaurant, and felt so lucky to celebrate there the last night of our honeymoon.
If you are in Mauritius, it's absolutely a 'must', and you should definitely visit this wonderful restaurant.
Mostly authentic Chinese food, the majority of which is of excellent quality. As one might expect from the name, the duck is particularly good. I recommend the hand pulled noodles as well. One odd dish: mushrooms with broccoli was off; neither the mushrooms nor the broccoli resembled what one might find in China. I would rate this place 4.5 stars if Google permitted that degree of gradation. One star deducted for posh pretentiousness (they claimed to have a rule against open-toed footwear... in a beach hotel... then told me they had arranged special permission to seat me and my party -- several other guests were in sandals as well.)
I kindly request that you update the information on Google for this restaurant as you are currently not accepting guests from outside. The opening hours seem to be causing confusion, and this has resulted in a waste of my time.

Seasons Restaurant is a great place to enjoy good food and better service. They have a wide variety of dishes, as well as cocktails and wines. The restaurant is across the street from the Salt, Lux and Ambre hotels so it's an excellent alternative if you're looking for lunch or dinner. They also have parking so you can drive.
A delicious restaurant in Flacq and a lovely alternative to resort dining. We opted for the fish dishes and they had authentic Creole flavour. The owners are friendly and the pricing is reasonable ✨

Fantastic restaurant just minutes from the beach. Lovely food and staff. Avis was amazing! We would highly recommend. We also both had allergies but they were great at letting us know what we could and couldn’t have.
Tried the magic bowl, the fried rice and the fried noodle here. The food is very tasty and authentic, especially compared to what you can get at Salt of Palmar hotel. For the guests who are tired of the a la carte menu at the restaurant of the said hotel, this place is like a heaven because it’s just a five minute walk from the Salt of Palmar, and you can also order take-out.
The atmosphere is very chill, and the waiter manning the bar—who also brings the menu and the food—makes you feel at ease. Would definitely recommend!
Please note though that in the evenings, the restaurant opens at 6PM. It’s not open continuously from 11AM to 9PM. We went there at 4:30PM and they were closed. The security guard at the villa behind it told us that they open at 6PM.

The Plantation is an incredible establishment that offers a delightful dining experience. Despite not being guests of the resort, patrons were graciously allowed to enjoy their lunch at a table. The staff was exceptionally polite and the service provided was outstanding. The cuisine was not only presented beautifully but also tasted superb. It is highly recommended, although it's uncertain if they can accommodate similar exceptions during peak seasons as it depends on their level of busyness. Another visitor had dinner there and described it as remarkably good.
We went to Plantation for my sister’s birthday. Booking was very smooth. Vanshika was very helpful. The menu doesn’t have a lot of vegetarian options but when they found out that 2 of us were vegetarian, the chef and restaurant staff came up with some more options which were not in the menu.

After two difficult days, trying to adapt with the tropical weather of the island, I found this little gem.

I was shocked in a good way from the attentiveness and genuine care of the waitress named Yashika, congrats to whoever hired and trained her.
Food:
I must say that I was sad about the food quality in the rest of the island but The Plantation Restaurant is different than any other place in Mauritius. It’s a magnificent culinary example for any Mauritian chef to follow. This restaurant is the reason to stay at least for two days in the Residence Hotel that the restaurant is located.

This restaurant offers incredible views right on the beach — perfect for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner after a day in the sun. There’s a wide variety of food to choose from, and everything we tried was delicious.
On our last night, since we were a large group, they prepared a special menu for us with seafood, meat, vegetables, and more — it was excellent and really well done.

This tropical pearl has an astonishing atmosphere as you can see, its out in open but still under roof, near the beach, palm trees as backdrop and just amazing. The service is absolutely top class and the food is really good, if you need a lunch or dinner in the area, then this is the place to visit!

Lost more balls than i can publicly declare.... getting there by boat is a unique experience, and the course itself is full of blind shots, and you need to apply your tjinking hat. The regular restaurant at Long Beach. Their food quality and variety is impressive. Lots of seating available, with great views. Perfectly designed to give a cozy vibe. Great atmosphere, suitable for couples, families and large parties. They have different cuisines for supper on different days. Loved the Lebanese/ middle eastern food we had there, the labneh, moussaka, baklava etc were lovely. Vegetarians will also be sorted out. Shout out to their scrumptious desserts and tender grilled fish. Shout out to their homemade yoghurts, detox drink and alouda.

Sun and Sand is a remarkable family restaurant where one can relish the most exquisite curry imaginable. We recently dined at Sun and Sand restaurant and had an exceptional experience. The location is perfect, offering a stunning sea view that adds to the ambiance. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. Plus, the prices were quite affordable, making it a great value for the quality of food and service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience by the beach!

A great little beachside restaurant with amazing food—I enjoyed it so much I went twice!
It opens from 12:30, and both visits were excellent. On my first visit, I had the grilled octopus, which was perfectly cooked. The second time, I tried the lamb curry, which was full of flavor and very satisfying. A rum and coke made the perfect pairing.
Dessert was Banana Flambé, also very good!!
The atmosphere is unique as well, with fruit bats residing in the surrounding trees, adding a special touch to the setting.
Highly recommended for good food and a memorable beachside experience.

We arrived late and were surprised with an excellent vegetable curry with appalam and salad. There were also bats roosting high up in nearby trees. It's close to the beach, so very picturesque as well.

We are Chinese food lovers, travelled in many countries and even lived 6 years in China - this restaurant is far the best and tastiest we’ve ever been outside China! While our 9 months stay in Mauritius, we visited Chinese Gourmet 2-3 times per month which has been 40min ride from our house.
Everything is absolutely delicious and mouth watering! We definitely recommend mapou tofu, spicy fried shrimps and aubergines in clay pot.
The owner and his family are very hospitable and caring team! We enjoyed everything every time we visited! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

We had an amazing meal at Chinese Gourmet! Every dish was bursting with flavour and beautifully prepared. The Spicy Crab was a standout—perfectly cooked with just the right amount of heat. The Suan Cai Yu (Fish with Pickled Mustard Greens) was made with fresh grouper, which was tender and flavourful… comforting and tangy, with tender fish and a rich, savoury broth. We also loved the Stir Fry Hor Fun, which had that perfect wok hei smokiness, and the Peking Duck was crispy, juicy, and served with all the classic accompaniments.
The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively yet comfortable. A fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine. We’ll definitely be back!
Outstanding meal. Tried a few things, everything was super delicious and fresh. Notable mentions go to the grouper fish soup with pickled vegetables, the spicy crab (we picked it ourselves alive) and the Peking duck. Beautiful meal. We also noticed people were collecting when we arrived, so it can be a good option if you want to eat at your resort.
A hidden Chinese restaurant that produces simple but delicious food. We ate here twice in our week and both times it was delicious. The Peking Duck and Pancakes were delicious and generous as was the Crispy calamari. Prices in the menu do not include Vat so add an extra 15%.

This is the tastiest food we’ve had in Mauritius. It is authentic Chinese cuisine. We stayed in Belle Mare for 4 days and we planned to eat here in 3 of those. The local is clean and staff is very friendly. Portion size is large also.
The taste is very authentic, delicious, we came here around 14:00 o’clock. Almost after lunchtime. After some dishes empty, we realized that we haven’t taken pictures.

This restaurant, Emperor Restaurant, is a fantastic place to enjoy both lunch and dinner. It is conveniently located near the apartment and has become a regular spot for visitors. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes that have been sampled by many. The soups are particularly outstanding, as well as the seafood options available. Each visit to the restaurant has been enjoyable and relaxed, with excellent service provided by the polite and friendly daughter who attends to customers' needs.

Best food we’ve had on our trip to Mauritius. A million times better than the overpriced resort food. It’s run by a Chinese family, super friendly. We ordered the fried noodles and sizzling chicken and it was amazing!! This place needs to be more famous! Must visit. The only thing that needs improving is the ambiance as it was deserted when we went and a little dark but apart from that no complaints!

Emperor Restaurant in Mauritius is a hidden gem! It’s just a short 3-minute walk from Solana Beach Resort, and hands down, the best Chinese food I’ve ever had.
We ordered the veggie spring rolls — they were out of this world delicious! The veggie samoosas were superb, perfectly crispy and full of flavour. The vegetable chop suey with fried rice was fresh, tasty, and cooked to perfection.
Everything we tried was bursting with authentic flavour! I’ll most certainly go back when we visit Mauritius again. Highly recommended :D)

In my O&O vacation, I went here so many times! I really enjoyed my lunch everytime, They even give you a small Nachos snack before you even eat something! It’s free seating and there are certain seats that are too sunny. Would recommend sitting inside but the downside is that you’ll miss the amazing view.
