Chesterfields Restaurant & Bar is a beloved spot in Philipsburg, popular among locals and tourists alike. Whether you've been out at the beach or exploring underwater, this place is perfect for refueling with its breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings. The menu features a variety of seafood staples, steaks, burgers, and pasta dishes that keep customers coming back for more due to their delicious flavors and generous portions at reasonable prices.
Beautiful atmosphere and location! We came in for Sunday breakfast and were served within 10 minutes of ordering. Our drinks came right away and our waitress was very kind and polite. Dinner is also great here! This restaurant is an SXM local staple! Make sure to pay them a visit.

Always wonderful time, food and service there. The staff servers are great! Very special people and now good friends.

Came here while on a cruise in port. Was an easy 5 min walk from port. My husband had the catch of the day, which was snapper. I had the grilled seafood platter. I wasnt a fan of the conch fritters in the platter but everything else was so good. And it was nice sitting along the water feeling the cool breeze
Camille M — Google review
It was a nice restaurant with a good view of the marina. The food portion was really big, I had to get a takeaway container. I didn't really enjoy most of the appetizer. We had the escargot, conch fritters, calamari, and coconut shrimps. The conch and calamari were bland, not much flavor. I had the Mahi and shrimp meal, which was really good. The service was ok, nothing special. I will go back in the future.
Kizzurn G — Google review
Nice restaurant with views of the marina where we picked up the catamaran for our tour of the day . The server was nice and welcoming . The whole snapper was delicious along with the coconut shrimp pretty good size . The hot sauce bottle made it more tasting and so good.

Chesterfields Restaurant in St. Maarten exceeded all our expectations! 🌟 From the moment we stepped in on 11/20/23 at 7:09 pm, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The seafood sampler was not only delicious but also came at an affordable price with generous portions – a true culinary gem. Claudette, our server, made the evening even more delightful with her warm and friendly service. Shoutout to the adorable marina dogs adding a charming touch! 🐾 The chill and relaxed atmosphere, coupled with a perfect timing that avoided large crowds, made our visit memorable. We're definitely returning on our next St. Maarten trip. Huge thanks, Claudette, for making it an unforgettable dining experience! 🙌✨✨ ✨

Chesterfields is located on the Dutch side of St Maarten, in a strip mall that also includes Amsterdam Cheese store, and is on the beach. We enjoyed a meal here while waiting for our snorkeling and sailing excursion, as Chesterfields is just outside where our boat launched. The seafood platter, filled with a variety of fried seafood including conch fritters was very good. The fish and chips offered fresh fish with a lovely batter. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but we didn’t have much time to enjoy our food as it took a quite awhile to get to us and we had to be at the boat check in at a specific time. You can tell that this a place the locals enjoy as well, which speaks for itself. It is a little isolated from the pier and main shopping areas, and you will need to walk about 10-15 minutes from the pier to get there. You may also want to make sure you go to the bathroom before coming to this area, as the bathrooms are….a little primitive….

Amazing food and great views/atmosphere. We ordered catch if the day (grilled grouper) and grilled shrimp & scallops. Both dishes were fresh, light and tasty, exactly what we wanted. Their homemade apple pie was amazing too!😋

Seafood restaurant
Big Fish Seafood Grill offers a delightful dining experience with the choice of an outdoor patio overlooking Oyster Pond or an elegant indoor dining room. The menu features a variety of seafood dishes cooked with Caribbean flavors, including options like Provencal-style shrimp casserole and a full sushi menu. In addition to seafood, there are also meat options such as jerk pork tenderloin.
Amazing Experience at Big Fish! I had the pleasure of dining at Big Fish, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the overall location was simply superb. The service was outstanding—every staff member was attentive, friendly, and professional. There was even one lady taking photos for their social media, which added a modern and engaging touch. While it felt a tiny bit invasive at moments, it wasn’t a big deal and didn’t detract from the overall experience. The food was absolutely top-notch! Every dish was prepared with such care and attention to detail—it was evident that the chefs are both knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. Every bite was delicious, and you could tell they put their heart into the cuisine. As for the prices, they were slightly on the higher side, but honestly, it was worth it for the quality of the food and service provided. It’s clear that Big Fish prioritizes delivering an exceptional dining experience, and they succeeded in every way. Highly recommended! I’ll definitely be returning for another visit.
Enrico B — Google review
This place is amazing. The ambiance is everything. The service was incredible, and the food and drinks were top tier. This gem of a restaurant is a must visit if you are in the area.
Sylvia W — Google review
The ambience is nice. The service was good. The drinks were ok. I ordered a pink pasta and it wasn’t all that great very much tasteless but presentation was on point. The escargot was very spicy but it tasted great!
Louvena C — Google review
The food here is a little more pricey but the presentations, amounts of food and flavors are right in line with the costs. We got the calamari Hurricane and Thai Specialty seafood dish between my wife and I and were unable to finish it. The food was outstanding, the Hurricane was pretty spicy which I loved and gobbled up every last drop. The Thai specialty dish was not as spicy, was full of different kinds of seafood and the flavors/presentation were outstanding. Would highly recommend the Big Fish!
Birdie — Google review
One of the very best places to dine on SXM. The atmosphere and food presentation >5 🌟 's. So many variations on fresh fish dishes, all packed with marvelous flavors. This should be your spot for the crown night out of fine seafood dining. Pro-tip: don't arrive before 7PM, else it may be a bit uncomfortably warm. Let the sun set and cool evening air begin.
Papi 3 — Google review
We talked with two couples at the resort we were staying out that didn’t have great things to say about this place. So glad we ignored them! It was excellent! The ambiance is so inviting and the food and drinks are outstanding. However I could have done without the dessert, for the price.
Sheila D — Google review
The atmosphere is beautiful! It feels very fresh, welcoming, and elegant! The cocktail offerings were a little limited, but the ones we had were great! The food menu has some amazing selections though with lots of unique dishes we were excited to try. The flavors were delicious and this is definitely worth the stop for a satisfying dinner! There is a good amount of spice to the dishes we had, which we love and they warned about, but if that isn't your thing, you might have to navigate the menu a little more.

Restaurant
Nestled in one of the oldest Creole houses on the island, Restaurant L'Auberge Gourmande offers a taste of classic French countryside cuisine in the heart of the Caribbean. The formal dining room exudes elegance with its arches and contemporary works by renowned island impressionist Sir Roland Richardson adorning the walls.
This was our first time at Auberge Gourmande and it did not disappoint! Chantal and her staff provided us with excellent service from the moment we walked in until we left. The presentation and dishes were amazing! I would not hesitate to return!

If you enjoy French food eat here!! We made a reservation prior to our stay in St. Martin. It was the last night of our stay and best meal we had while here. The food was wonderful, we had escargot which was delicious. Our entrees were excellent as well, lamb and quail. Everything from beginning to end was perfection. The staff is wonderful and welcoming, very passionate about their food which I love. They made it a very memorable night for us. Thank you!
Ashley G — Google review
Dinner here ended the perfect week of sun and crystal clear blue beaches. In 5 days we visited 9 beaches and 12 restaurants- this by far was our favorite. The food, presentation and service were 10/10. Karine, Carlos. And the gentleman that chased us down when we we forgot my phone were lovely and made us feel at home. The new owner Chantel has done a splendid job continuing the success of a restaurant that has been in place for 45 years. We had walked passed this restaurant a few times while Venturing into Grand Case throughout the week and noted it was always packed- we now know why. Everything was so fresh and well done. Can’t wait to come back next year. 5 stars.

This was a great experience! The service was awesome, and we will definitely be back! Also make sure you make a reservation before arriving! We had the: French onion soup, asparagus soup special, escargot, foi gras ravioli, duck wellington, lamb special, crème brûlée, and the the desert special

The Auberge Gourmande is one of the most wonderful Restaurants in Saint Martin. Top quality french cuisine and a very unique assortment of quality french wine. Also the service is heartfelt and very personal! Always a good choice!

Love this place. The food was spectacular, and the service was even better. This is a must stop place if visiting Saint Martin. It is in the French side of the island.

Auberge Gourmande – A Hidden Gem of French Gastronomy in Saint Martin Tucked away in the heart of Grand Case, Auberge Gourmande is more than just a restaurant—it’s a sanctuary of French culinary excellence, where every dish is a love letter to tradition, flavor, and artistry. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were warmly welcomed by Chantal, whose gracious hospitality set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Our waitress, Karyn, made the experience spectacular. Her deep knowledge of the menu, charisma, and effortless charm turned each course into a celebration of taste, passion, and storytelling. Chef Alex, the genius behind the stove and Chantal’s husband, crafts dishes that feel like they belong in a Paradise. We began with the Duck Foie Gras Raviolis, delicately nestled in a rich truffle sauce—a silken, decadent introduction to the meal. But the true showstopper may have been the French pie with lobster meat, chopped in white wine and layered on a bed of Florentine spinach, all crowned with a lobster cream sauce that melted on the tongue. It was pure indulgence, yet somehow still elegant. The Duck “Wellington” confit with foie gras and wild mushrooms, encased in golden pastry, was a masterpiece. Served with truffle and mushroom sauce and crushed potatoes, every element was cooked to perfection—flaky, savory, and deeply satisfying. To end, the mango and strawberry puff pastry was a dream. Light, crisp, and filled with vibrant fruit, it was served with homemade whipped cream and a housemade fruit sauce that brought brightness and balance to the dessert. Dining at Auberge Gourmande is more than just a meal—it’s a true gastronomic journey, lovingly curated by people who care deeply about the guest experience. With Karyn’s extraordinary service, Chantal’s warmth, and Chef Alex’s brilliance in the kitchen, this was one of the finest meals we’ve ever had—not just in Saint Martin, but anywhere

We came here for a special dinner to celebrate. The atmosphere and the staff were amazing. We had a nice Bordeaux with dinner. Each course was amazing. Crab for starter Rack of Lamb for me and Sea Bass for wife A raspberry flambé to finish We were not sure where it was but a quick call and the staff graciously guided us. A note parking in the restaurant area of Grand Case is mostly on street. They do take credit cards

Rainbow Café, located on the beach of Grand Case, offers a boho-chic atmosphere with a tropical open-air restaurant vibe. The menu features mostly French cuisine with international influences, focusing on seafood dishes like braised and seared octopus and mahi-mahi ceviche. Guests can enjoy sunset cocktails and tapas while wiggling their toes in the sand or relaxing in macrame swing chairs on the rooftop deck.
This place was recommended for breakfast by the hotel I stayed at and did not disappoint! A beautiful rooftop setting overlooking the ocean and beach. Very comfortable large chairs, perfect decoration and chill atmosphere. Also beautiful and friendly staff! I was trying to eat slowly to enjoy the place longer but the food was too delicious! High class presentation and perfectly fresh ingredients only. Very good experience. I highly recommend for any meal of the day.
Michel L — Google review
WOW wow wow!!! Rainbow Cafe was hands-down one of the best restaurants we visited during our trip—and it was literally right up the street from our hotel, though we had no idea until the very end. We stumbled in one evening looking for a late-night dessert and ended up with blueberry cheesecake, a fruit tart, and passion fruit ice cream. Every bite was incredible. The fruit was fresh, the cheesecake had the perfect creamy texture, and the tart crust was buttery and crisp. The passion fruit ice cream was exactly as you’d expect—bright, tangy, and packed with flavor. My sister loves tart flavors, so it was perfect for her. The dessert was so good that we came back the next morning for breakfast—and once again, it did not disappoint. I had the NY scramble (pancakes, eggs, bacon, and avocado) with a grilled hazelnut latte. My sister had French toast, pancakes, eggs, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Everything was cooked perfectly, portions were generous, and the flavors were spot on. My only regret? We discovered Rainbow Cafe on our last day before heading to the airport. I can only imagine how amazing dinner would have been. Don’t make the same mistake we did—make Rainbow Cafe one of your first stops. You’ll get great food, friendly service, a warm atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

🌟 Rainbow Beach Café – A Perfect Day in Grand Case! The French Side We had an amazing experience at Rainbow Beach Café! The vibe was fantastic—chilled music, relaxed energy, and stunning views right on Grand Case Beach. The service was top-notch from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and well worth the price. We loved the beach setup too—beach beds were $35, very comfortable, and perfectly positioned. They even included a beach towel, which was a great touch! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a stylish yet laid-back beach day with great food, service, and comfort. We’ll definitely be back!

10 out of 10, would recommend. They have a LIVE DJ during the day. Yes yes, food is good. Poke bowl is delicious, so couldn't finish it but I tried my best. I am the friend who steals food and everything I grabbed was on point. View is beautiful, who doesn't want to look at a vast amount of water while consuming little bits of paradise.
E S — Google review
Rainbow cafe offers perfect beachfront bliss 😊 Nestled right on the sand with an unobstructed view of the sparkling turquoise ocean, this spot is an absolute gem. From the moment you step onto their deck, the gentle sound of the waves and the refreshing sea breeze immediately put you at ease. They have shaded patio seating with ocean view, bar at the patio and for the shopaholics rooftop boutique. The ambiance here is simply unparalleled. Whether you're enjoying a morning coffee as the sun rises, a leisurely lunch with friends, or a sunset cocktail, the ocean view takes center stage. For lunch we ordered: Edamame, crazy vegan roll, side of basamati rice, greens (broccoli, spinach and beans). I wish they had more vegetarian/vegan options to offer. My other minor critique would be that during peak times, it can get quite busy, which is a testament to its popularity. However, even with the crowds, the atmosphere remains enjoyable. I would love to try their brunch next time. Overall beautiful place to relax and enjoy some delicious food.
Roma M — Google review
Location and views are great, food was good, on par for other places. Service was also just okay, whereas other places showed excellent friendly service. Prices are inline however, we didn’t spend the 30€ for lounge chairs downstairs. Beautiful beach, calm water, gorgeous sand. We used our beach towels.
Roeann C — Google review
Rainbow Café is a true gem in Grand Case—where every meal feels like an experience. The food is not only fresh and abundant, but every bite is delectably flavorful and thoughtfully presented. What truly elevates it, though, is having breakfast upstairs. With a sweeping view of Grand Case unfolding beneath you, it evokes a feeling that’s hard to put into words—calm, awe, maybe even a little wonder. As for the service, our waiter, George adds his own unique touch. He has a calm, understated way of welcoming you and brings a genuine kindness that complements the relaxed, refined vibe of Rainbow Café. A longtime resident of the island, he’s also a great source of local tips—just the person you’d want to chat with over a leisurely breakfast.
Edith C — Google review
Had a wonderful afternoon at Rainbow cafe. We got 3 beach chairs, absolutely the most comfortable. 30 euros per chair. The beach was beautiful and clean, water was so calm and blue. We saw a small stingray which was exciting. We got the best sushi I've ever tasted on the island for lunch. Drinks were amazing. Calamari was great. We got guac, the chips were a little soft. We looked through the boutique upstairs, lots of cute Rainbow cafe apparel (quite expensive though). All around will visit again for the amazing drinks and lunch, and comfy chairs. A great treat yourself beach day.

French restaurant
Ocean 82 is an elegant waterfront restaurant located in the heart of Grand Case, Saint Martin. Owned by Chef Yohann Dufour, this French fusion restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its focus on fresh seafood and gourmet French cuisine infused with Caribbean flavors. The stunning views of the Caribbean Sea provide a picturesque backdrop for enjoying a memorable meal, especially during sunset.
Ocean 82 was a standout dining experience — exceptional service, incredible food, and breathtaking views right by the water. Every course was beautifully prepared, from the rich lobster bisque to the perfectly cooked surf and turf. The staff was warm, attentive, and made the evening feel special. While the cocktails were just okay, the overall experience more than made up for it. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

High-end dining experience. Beautiful & relaxing. Loved that they let you have time to enjoy the appetizers before serving the main meal. You can tell they are very attentive to time everything just right. Very high table turn around. Popular spot!

An Evening to Remember at Oceans 82 From the moment we sat down at Oceans 82, I knew we were in for something special. The view over the bay was absolutely stunning — the kind that makes you want to put your phone down and just take it all in. Add in the gentle breeze and the glow of the setting sun, and it already felt like the perfect night. We kicked things off with escargots bubbling away in garlic butter — rich, garlicky, and so good we were practically dipping bread into the dish to catch every drop. Then came the tuna spring roll with fresh apples and imperial sauce — such a bright, fresh bite, with the sweetness of the apple playing perfectly against the silky tuna. But the real showstoppers were the lobster pastas. First, the homemade lobster and mushroom ravioli in basil and Madagascar peppercorn sauce — soft, delicate pasta stuffed with tender lobster and mushrooms, all swimming in this aromatic, slightly peppery sauce that I’m still thinking about. And the lobster fettuccine? Generous chunks of lobster, perfectly cooked pasta, and a sauce so good I didn’t want the plate to end. The service was spot-on the whole night — friendly, attentive, and they seemed genuinely happy to have us there. Oceans 82 isn’t just a dinner spot — it’s the kind of place where everything comes together: the food, the view, the people. Can’t wait to go back.

This was gem we stumbled upon while in Grand Case area. As you enter it is clean and modern vibes with ocean views. The staff were friendly and attentive. We did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us. Additionally they had vegetarian options and offered a few other options. We tried a few of the non-alcoholic drinks which were refreshing. The food was well flavored and aesthetically appealing but portion size was good for one. We also tried the desserts which were equally delicious. Overall this place was provided great ambiance, food and service.
Mohsin S — Google review
Oysters were amazing, French onion soup was ok but needed more juice less bread. We had to flag down our waiter for drinks. Ordered a nice bottle of wine and was told that they would pour each glass and that didn’t happen. We waited over 2 hours for our meals which the sea bass was recommended and was ok BEWARE 7+ bones left in for a fish prepared table side. The shrimp were dry and overcooked. Food came out cold and the potatoes gratin were hard, cold and inedible. We always order dessert and we were afraid what would come out. They did try to make it right by removing the main dishes from the bill. At one point I walked by the bar and the amount of dirty items made an impression there. We were told they are short staffed and can’t handle large quantities of customers at this point in time so why take a party of 14. We were rushed to get our order in before theirs but the disorganization would’ve not made much of a difference. When we came in to sit down they knew it was our anniversary. Zero was said. You do not know who you are talking to especially when they bragged to us they were the best on the island not knowing we know those who own top restaurants and other chefs on the island. We were disappointed at the lack of knowledge and the we are #1 attitude yet I don’t know if I would return. Sad to say great location but for what was served maybe start from the ground up. Screaming kid at 9:30 at night in a fancy restaurant

We ate at Ocean 82 on our 2nd night (of 12 nights) on the island. This was hands down the best meal of the entire vacay! The communication was excellent - booked online and had a personalized reply within 60 minutes. We were actually greeted in the street by the maitre 'd as we walked towards the restaurant. We were given a table right on the edge of the dining room, affording us an incredible sunset view. The staff were all incredibly warm, kind and helpful. From explaining the specials to singing happy birthday after a world-class meal. And the food...truly outstanding! The pate was amazing; the escargot were so tender and delicious; the soups, lobster bisque and french onion, were the best that either of us have ever had. The stuffed, rolled chicken breast was very well executed (just a bit dry). The monster lobster, fresh from the tank, was the show-stopper! It was halved, with half done Thermidor and the other half flambeed table-side...simply divine! On an island with an abundance of delicious food options, Ocean 82 is THE MUST. PERIOD.

Nestled on a picturesque hill in Orient Bay, Rancho Del Sol is a delightful dining destination that promises an unforgettable culinary experience. While it may not be the most extravagant spot, its charm lies in its mouthwatering Mexican cuisine and diverse menu options that cater to every palate. Imagine savoring juicy steaks while soaking in breathtaking views of Orient Bay—it's truly a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds!
Came here for lunch. Tapas platter was delicious. We also ordered pizza and the poke bowl which I give 3/5 stars. Food took a long time to come out and we were the only ones there. 5 stars for location, parking, clean bathroom, views and ambience. I would come back for dinner time for drinks and live music on Thursday nights.

The pizzas are great because of the great choice of topping combinations. We are going back later this week for more. My son said his beef burger was really good. The cod was fried to perfection with a delightful dipping sauce. The atmosphere was very relaxing/chill with fantastic views. Chic restaurant! The service was fantastic and food was definitely fresh.

Do not waste your money or time at this restaurant. I’m going to bring them back the throw up to get my money back 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

They have iguanas, there that will sit on the roof there was only one that I saw, and then they had A peacock, that walked around the tables, and you have to watch your food. Because it pecked my lettuce out of my bowl and my fork went flying and it finished off the lettuce on the floor but then I just shoot it away with my napkin. Chickens also came of the evening and roosted in the tree by the deck outside..

Loved our meals! From stingray, to mahi mahi, to pizza, to one of the best burgers I’ve ever had this place is one to visit if you are staying near orient bay. We chose it because it was closer to our accommodations and it hit the spot for all of us. On day 11 of our vacation a burger was just what I needed and it was delicious! Beautiful atmosphere and mostly kid friendly.

Exquisite in every sense. Our server, Jennifer, was perfect. Highly recommend for a semi fancy dinner at the top of a mountain in St Marten. Can't be beat! And they had a peacock parade through!

This is one of my favorite spots in Saint Martin. The restaurant overlooks Orient Bay, and the views are absolutely stunning, especially around sunset. If you get there early, you might even get to see and feed the peacocks wandering around. The food is fantastic, and the service is just as good. Michelle, one of the servers, is amazing, super friendly with that warm Saint Martinois vibe that makes you feel right at home. They have a trampoline to keep the kids entertained and plenty of parking, which is always a plus. It is a great spot for a date night or celebrating a birthday. On weekends, there is live music, which really sets the mood. I cannot recommend it enough, I will definitely be back!

Emilio's...Dine with History is a remarkable dining destination situated on an 18th-century sugar cane plantation in St. Maarten. This unique restaurant, housed in a historic boiling house from the 1700s, offers guests the chance to savor exquisite nouveau Caribbean cuisine crafted by Chef Sidney.
We had an incredible dinner experience at Emilio’s this evening! We arrived early for our reservation and we decided to tour around the gorgeous stone exterior and grounds before our meal. My husband and I selected the 3 course meal from the menu and it was served at a relaxing pace. Our server Nyal had great recommendations and was so kind and attentive throughout the entire meal. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was the perfect date night for us. We absolutely loved every moment of it!

This place was eclectic, unique, and a great casual upscale vibe. The environment was perfect. The location was very low-key very relaxing beautiful scenery. The waiter Nyal was very cool, attentive, and personable. The pumpkin soup was delicious the octopus so I heard was also very delicious. The curry was outstanding. And the salmon was also very very enjoyable. Emilio’s is a bit pricey however, when you’re on vacation and you get an opportunity to enjoy a vibe like this with the people you enjoy being around You tend not to worry about the cost. Also, it was good value for the quality of food and the amount of food. compliments to the chef!

As always best place to eat in St Maarten! We enjoy every meal we have over the years!! Fish cake and goat cheese appetizers are superb!! Dessert too was absolutely delicious even though we were so full!! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and our server Nyal’s smiling face and voice is like coming home! He really makes our dining experience special!!

One of my favorite restaurants on the island. Between the character & charm of the ambiance, service, food & drinks. The history of the plantation & Emilio’s significance. It had it all. The hospitable owner Norman thanked us for dining when we were seated. My parents & I had such a great experience here. Their bread & pesto is delicious. Option for a 3 course dinner starting at $57.99. I loved the Pumpkin Ravioli & Pecan Crusted Seared Sea Scallops - food & portions were perfection! A dinner reservation is a must, and please be patient - everything is cooked fresh to order, their kitchen is not attached to the main dining & the staff works hard. This is a small but mighty restaurant and their volume is high for a reason - it’s absolutely delightful here. I would come back to dine any day!

Wonderful evening! My childhood friends and I were celebrating our 50th birthday. The staff made us feel so special! The food was fantastic with a great wine selection. Anytime I visit Saint Martin, I'll be sure to include Emilio's at least one night.

First time visiting/trying this restaurant. Everything was absolutely amazing. Nyal was our waiter and he was phenomenal!!! He was very helpful and knowledgeable. The pumpkin soup was delicious, the salmon was probably the best I've ever had! And the chocolate tart was heavenly!! The restaurant itself is beautiful and very clean and well kept. This was the best food we had the entire week we were here. Strongly recommend trying this place!!! Sooo good!! Thank you Nyal and staff!!!

We had a great experience at Emilio’s. Everything was perfect from the time we arrived until the time we left. We had excellent service from Nyal, Biggy, and Jermaine! They were all very attentive. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners Norman and Su. They couldn’t have been any nicer and truly grateful we chose their restaurant to dine at. The interior is beautiful and the food was delicious. We will definitely return when we come back to the island!

Ate dinner at Emilio's on Wednesday October 29th. Lovely hostess and server Marinnela. She has graced us with her friendly personality. The three course dinner was an excellent choice. Table of four had delicious appetizers of tenderloin medallion crusted goat cheese shrimp creole and dinner of Sea Bass and steak. Everything wad deliciously prepared perfectly. Dessert of carrot cake and apple crisp. Everything delicious

BZH Creperie is a restaurant in Oyster Bay that offers creative salads, sweet crepes and savory pizzas. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed.
We had a fantastic dinner at BZH. The kids loved the galette, and we enjoyed the ham and cheese platter and squid ink risotto – everything was delicious! Leticia made our evening unforgettable with her kindness and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back!!

Best meal on the island!!! Service was amazing, our waiter was patient with us asking questions about the menu and truly made our dinner an experience! The food was beyond amazing, full of flavor, great portions and the presentation was beautiful! We had the “Ocean crepe” and the full charcuterie board, would highly recommend both! We will be back again, this place is a gem!

The best meal I've had on the island. Ordered snapper with citrus risotto and vegetables, so delicious! Great, friendly service. I'll definitely be back for the crepes and probably another dinner too!

Edit: when I got home and really looked into the billing I found that they added dishes I never ordered to my bill. You have to be careful because they always ask you of you want this or that but don't tell you they charge so much extra for it. I literally had my own bottled water with me and they charged me over 6 for water as well. I'm not sure if is come back just due to the fact after assessing, we had over $70 in extra charges, including a salad we never ordered too. So good and everything was spectacular!! Sea bug was delish and good-sized. Came with well seasoned sides. The sea plate curry was phenomenal, and it was nice getting a variety of seafood. The beef tip was perfectly medium rare and juicy. Everything was complimented with flavors. I'm so happy right now... and very full. Learning 7ish is NOT the time to try and eat without a reservation anywhere.

Cannot say enough positive things about our experience at BZH. Everything we ate was delicious. This place has a very casual vibe while remaining clean and modern. They were short-staffed and our server was still gracious and attentive despite being very busy. Even though it took a while to order dessert and pay we didn't mind at all. It was a wonderful evening we will not forget. Do not leave St. Martin without eating at BZH.

We greatly enjoyed the meal here. The marrow toast was interesting and tasty, and the scallops were perfection. My wife enjoyed mushrooms and a great steak and fries. A crepe for dessert finished off an excellent meal . The restaurant was a little busy, so a reservation might be a good idea, but the flavors will bring us back

Oyster Bay Beach Resort is a refined beachfront retreat that offers complimentary parking, Wi-Fi, and snorkeling gear. Nestled on a private peninsula where Dutch St. Maarten meets French St. Martin, this 182-room resort boasts picturesque blue-and-white architecture and provides access to Oyster Bay Marina and Dawn Beach. Its strategic location near the French-Dutch border makes it an ideal base for exploring both sides of the island.
Very friendly staff and service. The grounds and accommodations have a delightful Caribbean feel and peaceful. Enjoyed relaxing and decompressing. Location is isolated but shuttles and taxis are available on location. Amenities include gym, laundry and 2 local shops. Two restaurants are open for service.
Paul R — Google review
Let’s be very real. This place is a hard pass. The location is not ideal. It’s very far from the airport. You almost need a car to enjoy the island, otherwise, It’s too far from where most restaurants are located. There is nothing nearby so you will be forced to eat the same two places that does not cycle their menu. During the months of July the “beach side” is covered in seaweed so you won’t be able to get in like the other beaches. The smell gets pretty intense. The food is pretty expensive. The rooms are dated but the beds are comfy. The crowd is older and the cleanliness is questionable. I wouldn’t recommend for the 20-30 crowd. I won’t say it’s family friendly either. Other than the smaller pool, there isn’t anything else to do. The service is good but there is a lot of other good places.
Jeanette M — Google review
I just checked out of this place. I was so disappointed. The ratings and reviews is what made me choose this spot. Please do not waste your time or money. Upon check in I was hit with a $50 resort fee and $12 a day utility charge. The unit I was in had ants and had not been cleaned. There was still coffee in the coffee maker, beer in the fridge, feces on the toilet and hair in the tub. There were stains on the bedding and the furniture. We had ants crawling up the walls and on the counter tops. My friend stayed in a unit across the hall from me and she had roaches. The beach at the resort is nasty and you can't get in the water. No one does. The pool is not clear and has a yellow layer on the ground and steps. The food is expensive and not worth it. When the AC works it blows cold. All the appliances in the unit are old, unkept and need to be replaced. The gym was full of old outdated machines and it was dirty as well. The pictures are misleading. It is also located in a very bad area of the island and not near anything making it impossible to do any activities without a car. I reported all the issues and the only thing addressed was the AC issue. Everything else I received lip service for and no change. I am thankful we had a rental car. You NEED one to enjoy the island and all it has to offer. The beds are comfortable and the parking is free. The ATM is out of order along with most things there. If you are looking for a place to lay your head this is equivalent to a motel 6. Do not expect resort treatment or amenities. This place is falling apart and quick.
Danielle L — Google review
We had a nice stay at the resort, but you do need a car to get around the island to have fun. I feel that the resort is a little boring with not much to do unless you like to read and have peace and quiet. Staff was pleasant and the service was good. Forget about getting wifi so just upgrade your mobil plan for service if you want to surf the web.
Doug S — Google review
The good: - Great infinity pool and jacuzzi, open 24 hours - Some employees were great The bad: - It is not a resort, but just a hotel. They say is 5 stars, but is a 3-4 stars at best - Studios are small and very outdated, with the cheapest selection from the local Home Depot - Inconsistent service. The ladies at reservations and the staff at front desk were nasty and raised their voices very easily - Location is far away, with very little to do around. Main attractions are 30 min away - Nearby beach is a disaster, with dark waters and dirty sand, if any - Smelly marina - Resort charges fees for everything. Beware! - Timeshare program is now a disaster, only intended to squeeze owners. DO NOT BUY. And if you are still interested, owners offer online their membership for free - Customer service is a disaster. They simply ignore you I am a timeshare owner since 2000, but did not visit the hotel for the last 5 years. I went there with friends on ultra low season (October), with the resort almost empty. I requested a studio with front ocean views in three different occasions to the ladies at reservations. They were nasty and raised their voices repeating “is upon availability!” (which I fully know). Upon arrival I did not get the requested view, with nobody explaining why. When I complained, the front desk man was also nasty, raised his voice and was very rude. Still did not get it. Instead, they gave us rooms with a side view to the smelly beach. I know they had renovated rooms available with the views, but they give the worst rooms to owners. When I purchased the timeshare program in 2000, it was great. Now is horrible - You get a flexible week (you can use any week subject to availability). Now they have very little availability - If you can not use the week, you could “save” it for 2 years. Now the saving has been reduced to just one year - You could upgrade the studio to a one or two bedrooms by paying a reasonable fee of $250 or $350. Now they increased the upgrade fees 3 times to almost $900 - Monthly maintenance was reasonable. Now it represents the same annual cost of paying a better hotel for a week. Where is the current benefit? - Upon arrival, they still charge you for utilities (up to $25/day) and for taxes ($50). I went with friends and they also charged them $75, even being with me AVOID THE HOTEL AND THE TIMESHARE!

The resort is 30 minutes away from just about everything. Common areas are extremely small. Beach is literally covered in seaweed. The ac in my living room barely works and i had to wait hours for a remote. The ac in my room is leaking all over and the bathroom door absorbed the water so it swelled and can no longer close. My room is as hot as it is outside its a living hell. The wifi in the whole resort is completely down and they lied and said the whole island was down. This place was maybe nice 20 years ago. Now its an avoid at all costs.

The pros and cons are pretty equal here. Check-in was quick and easy. The view from the pool area is amazing and liked the ice water refill station there. Our room had a view looking over Oyster pond. Also beautiful. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff is all super friendly. Our bell man was great and full of energy. Bartender by the pool, Edith was helpful and friendly. Young man over seeing the food setup of the Sunday buffet was on his game. And the food was very good. We felt safe walking around the resort as there was security. Everything was pretty clean. We enjoyed being on the opposite side of the island from the cruise ships, it was quiet and peaceful. The little grocery Store on the property was very helpful having many of the last minute items we needed for snacks or breakfast in the room. The young lady at the checkout in the evening was very sweet. The welcome event was done well. A big party and the live band was great. There were many small things that could be addressed. When we arrived there were laundry and trash bags in the courtyard and outside some of the rooms some which still remained the next morning. Why is there nobody walking around the pool area offering service? It is a shame for the guest and a missed opportunity for the resort for sales.Food quality could addressed. Food is inconsistent in quality. Tiny ants mostly present in the kitchen or bathroom. Not just attracted to food. All over the electrical devices that are plugged in. We also find them on our nightstand. Pretty annoying and making me itchy. The WiFi!! Basically does not exist. Turn it on to try and look at email and if you’re lucky it will load but more often than not nothing loads. You have to turn the WiFi off and use your cell data to actually get anything to happen. So there is basically no Wi-Fi here. Great if you want to disconnect completely. But do all your downloads before you get here. There is no direct beach access. The small area by the resort is not maintained and unusable.

We really enjoyed our week stay here. We did rent a car - the smallest size which was perfect for parking and zooming around the island. BE CAREFUL PARKING IN PHILLPSBURGH! We parallel parked on the side of the road in front of a school with other cars. When we returned, our car was missing. It had been towed. We think it’s because it was a rental. No other cars were at the impound lot. A racket. We didn’t mind the location. I liked being away from it all, but we had a car and could go where we wanted and when. We came mostly to relax, enjoy the beach, read. We had a 1-bedroom room facing the pond. Very nice view. We enjoyed having a kitchen. Went to a market and bought yogurt, cheese and salami, olives, rum, fruit juices, coffee, sugar, had and half. Made breakfast and charcuterie dinners. Ate lunches out. Made our own fruity drinks - stronger and cheaper! Best baguettes we found were up the road at Bread and Butter. We felt our room was updated. Beds comfy. Well-stocked kitchen. We even had a bidet! (I’m Italian and really appreciate having one!) We came at the very end of October. There was some seaweed but not as bad as some of the pics in other reviews. The beach boys set up your chair and umbrella for you. (Bring tip money.) We had food and drink service on the beach, but not by the pool. Two days we ended up going to Captan Frenchy’s in Grand Case for the day. Calm water, super clean water, no seaweed. Dinner at the veranda was tasty, but we never did eat at the Infinity Restaurant. Everyone working at the hotel was really friendly and nice. I would return (but I’m not buying a timeshare. I’m good with just renting.)

Visited here twice, first time the service was above and beyond, ( Richard ) our server was absolutely amazing, the food was good, the beer and drink prices are the best we have found. They advertise live music on Sunday's from noon to 4:00, so we went back, service wasn't up to par ( no Richard ) and no live music. It's still a great place to visit and was very close to us.

Great place to get food and drinks for your visit to the beach. Everyone is nice and you definitely should get a rotisserie chicken from the stand on the road. The lady gave us a whole chicken, rice and beans, potato salad and sauces for $12!

Rude wait staff. Food was so subpar. Caesar salad was WAY too overdressed and instead of a creamy dressing it was just oil. So terrible. Pizza was mediocre. It took 52 minutes to get appetizers. Asked for a cocktail menu, server's response was "We don't have a drink menu, what do you want?" Just ridiculously short and rude.

(I am living in Sint Maarten) First visit, after 10 minutes being ignored (not even being noticed by the waiters) I concluded that they don't want my money..During this visit there where 2 small dogs under the table and I brought mine to. Second visit: second change, again I brought my dog but this time I was noticed by the manager. The only thing he said, no dogs! I aksed why, he pointed at the owner and he said, it's the law... The manager is hypocrite, and rude! I never go back!!

Canoa is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Nestled right on the water, this restaurant offers stunning views and a delightful atmosphere, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor seating. Guests rave about the seafood pasta, which boasts rich garlic flavors without being too heavy, as well as perfectly cooked snapper with crispy skin. The stuffed grouper and crab back appetizer are also highly recommended.
Absolutely delicious food with friendly service. While on the pricier side, it is worth every penny. The seafood pasta was delicious with a garlic and rich taste while not being overly heavy. Snapper was cooked to perfection with crispy skin and tender meat. Stuffed grouper was equally fantastic. The stuffed crab back is a great choice for an appetizer.

Delicious! The food is always good and the service is great. A must try is the signature Canoa. They have seating both inside and out. They are right on the water, really, the restaurant is on a pier. The only disappointment has been the deserts.
Suzanne K — Google review
The location and ambiance is nice, but the food is mediocre and the prices are high. Beware the poorly-worded menu. The layout makes the kids meal price look lower than it is (by more than double). Like most service-oriented businesses on the island, the service is not fast, but the servers are friendly.

Little Jerusalem Restaurant SXM in Simpson Bay is a must-visit for some of the best shawarmas on the island. The portions are huge, and the atmosphere is friendly. The Famous wrap with chicken and lamb, along with falafel, were delightful surprises - light and crispy falafel and a generously proportioned, spicy, and tasty wrap. Despite its unassuming location, this spot has won over many patrons with its flavorful food.
We visited this small local restaurant during our stay in St.Maarten. Hands down, the best shawarma wrap we have ever had. The famous wrap was packed with lots of flavour and was very filling— the owner was so generous with the portions and the price was very reasonable. We will definitely go back before the end of our trip.

It's my second time here and we are back. Middle Eastern Food restaurant and is Delicious. Chef Abraham cooks excellently.. a friendly atmosphere, Just loved the flavor. This is not a fast food restaurant, so the waiting time to get your order is the normal time when you get fresh food served. So like the Chef said.. it was worth it .. I ordered for 5 people and they All enjoyed it very much. !!! I highly recommend it. Once again, Chef Abraham, thank you so much.. your food is absolutely delicious. !

The owner and his family are the best! Food is good, atmosphere is relaxed and not overwhelmingly busy, not noisy although located on the main street, area is clean, service is respectful. The only deficit at the moment is that the meat is a bit on the salty side. Hopefully, that will be adjusted. However, it's a wonderful place to grab a quick meal by yourself or with others. Even nice for a casual date.

Unusually nice place in an unexpected spot! Went here based on food-related reviews and was not disappointed. I had The Famousl wrap (chicken and lamb with some kind of nice melty cheese in it) and my partner the falafel and was pleasantly surprised by how light and crispy the falafel was and how spicy, tasty and generously proportioned the wrap was. The owner is a real character and welcomed a number of local regulars while we were there enjoying our time. Will definitely come again to try something else.

We have been here many times and always enjoy the service, the atmosphere but mostly the food. They always have a new cocktail to try out and even if it sounds weird it is always so good. Last week my husband and I went again and we had something to celebrate so we choose: Tomahawk steak from Argentina and oh gosh, it was soooo good. Cooked to perfection. Cutting happens at the table. We were advised on what red wine would pare perfectly and it did pare amazing. The staff has good knowledge and are very nice. The place was busy and the service able to keep up with the patrons. The menu featured a wide variety of items, from many fresh seafood dishes to a bacon cheeseburger. The roasted cheeses appetizer was particularly delicious. I would definitely encourage you to try l'Oasis!

You could say it was fate, but by chance we decided to drive here from our place in Grand Case with the urge for pizza. The drive was pretty, yet anticipation was building. We had concerns over the smell of sargassum that was heavy on the shore. And then we arrived at Oasis. All you could smell was the wonderful food in the air, and the chic open air atmosphere was very appealing and with a very upbeat playlist of music playing in the background. The owner greeted us, thanked us for coming in, and the woman who served us was very knowledgeable of the ingredients in all of the specials. We could not pass the night without trying the foie gras, and it was the best we had on this trip, creamy, buttery with a hint of vanilla and fresh mango to complement. While we started the evening with some wine and foie gras, the real star was the pizza! Light and crispy, with fresh and flavorful ingredients. I had the ham and cheese, and you could taste the love. Dessert did not disappoint either, the cookie was enormous and the creme brulee was delicious. This place will be forever in the memories of this trip to St Martin and a definite place we'll look forward to returning to one day... Until then Oasis, keep showing the love.

We visited this restaurant and it exceeded all expectations. The quality of the food is on par with the finest restaurants in Europe, yet the atmosphere is as cozy as a home kitchen. I have to highlight the pizza — my 15-year-old son said it was the best he’s ever had in his life. I completely agree — the food is absolutely outstanding. The service is also top-notch: attentive, friendly staff with a genuine desire to make guests feel welcome. All in all, this place is well worth the trip, even if it’s off the beaten path — we’ll definitely be coming back for another unforgettable dinner!

Our friend Sue who is a regular visitor at St. Martin mentioned that this place had changed ownership and had not been there since that happened. We decided to try it and glad we did. Carol was our server and made excellent recommendations. She took great care of us. We liked it so much that we returned the next night! The owner even stopped by to. Definitely recommend and do try the shortbread with raspberry and strawberry for dessert!

Best pizza on the island! And the other dishes are also delicious. Lovely team, in a good mood and fantastic service. Beautiful airy restaurant with a great view. Absolutely recommended! It's always worth coming back!

We love this place! Sam and her staff are simply amazing. The food was terrific! Pizza was great and authentic. The lasagna was the best I’ve ever had. Was a perfect ending to spending the day on the beach. When we come back to the island we will definitely be back!

The experience was amazing here. The two ladies serving us were super nice and attentive. The food was amazing especially the gnocchi and calamari. Reasonably priced for the island and quickest service we’ve had all week.

Great lasagna and chicken parm! Pizza was one of the better international pizzas we’ve had. I was able to snap menu photos. Enjoy!

Visited on a whim. Have driven past this place many times without stopping. But I'm glad we did. We had the escargot, the house specialty pizza and Hawaiian. the food was ok, and the service was good.

We dined at Mama’s twice in a few days while staying in Oyster Pond. Our dinners were outstanding & service equally as great. Sam, the manager was delightful & energetic with an engaging smile as well as Enzo the bartender! We will definitely go back on our next vacation to St Martin!! Thank you from Terry & Teresa from Oregon, USA.

We stumbled across Mama’s on a Monday night and we are so glad we did. The staff were so friendly & welcoming and the pizza exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended the veggie & cheese, but also loved the sausage and pepperoni. Would 100% recommend a stop here if you are looking for a good, easy dinner on this side of the island.

It was our last night in St. Martin and we wanted something tasty. Someone had mentioned an authentic Italian restaurant on a French side just minutes from our hotel so we took the drive and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was extremely friendly. The owner and staff were so helpful in deciding what to get and accommodating when we couldn’t decide between pepperoni and sausage so they said you can split it, the prices were very reasonable and the view was spectacular. I would absolutely go back to have dinner since everything smelled and looked delicious. If you are near Dawn beach this is a definitely a must stop.

L'Atelier Restaurant, located in Orient Bay Village, St. Martin, is a delightful dining spot where you can savor the freshest meats and catch of the day. The menu features homemade cuisine with signature dishes like crispy soft-boiled egg and Churrasco Entrana steak. Known for its exceptional meats and local fish, this restaurant offers a charming atmosphere for meat lovers and seafood enthusiasts. The focus is on simplicity, quality, and creating memorable dining experiences with loved ones.
This is not like the other adjacent restaurants found in the Place du Village, Orient Bay. Alexandre has created culinary art. The food is comparable only to Michelin restaurants in New York City (not having dined in Paris to compare to). A must have is the Crispy Poached Egg starter or the Tuna Carpaccio. For a main course, being a filet mignon lover, I tried the Rigatoni with mignon and porcini mushrooms. My husband had the braised beef short ribs. And the chef's dessert was beyond the beyond. We were not disappointed and it's the second year we have come and better each time. The interior and staff support the passion for food and passion for people.

Hidden gem in St Martin with the best food. Everything from the appetizers to the steak, pasta, fish we had was delicious 10/10. You really cant go wrong with anything that you order. The staff and owner were very welcoming and explained the menu throughly. We came back twice during our stay, and will definitely come back the next time!

We had a phenomenal time here! The food was excellent and the service was fantastic! This was easily the best restaurant we went to during the week we spent on the island. Thanks Louise-Anne!

What makes this place so cool isn’t just the creative dishes and absolutely amazing flavors, but the OWNER. Such a cool guy. My husband and I enjoyed talking to him. It’s this kind of establishment that you want to support because of the people behind it. The egg and pumpkin appetizer we had was hands down, one of the best things we ate on the island. Awesome place.

Best dinner in Saint Martin! Was recommended this restaurant by a friend and decided to have a Thursday night dinner here. Glad we did. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeting by very warm and welcoming staff. The staff all make it clear that they truly care about your experience there. Our server was Margeaux, however the other employees such as Elof also checked in on us. They all were so friendly and attentive. Before we ordered our meals, the owner of the restaurant: Alex, came to our table and explained every dish on the menu to us.. in detail. A very nice experience, this added an extra touch of care and personality to the whole experience. He made it feel as if we were at home. The food was to die for and the service was unbeatable. We ordered the Ribeye of Black Pearl & the Simmental filet mignon. Both steaks just melted in your mouth. The mashed potatoes and the peppercorn sauce for the meat is a must! Had the crème brûlée & upside down apple pie for dessert, both were also very delicious. Definitely on the pricier side but 100% worth it. No doubt we will return here during our next visit of Saint Martin.

We had the pleasure of dining at L'Atelier, one of the most renowned steak houses on the island, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. The service impressed us even during the online reservation process, where the staff was accommodating and professional. They kindly assisted us when we needed to make last-minute changes to our booking. The service in the restaurant was equally remarkable. The waitstaff was highly attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming, ensuring that every detail of our experience was perfect. While the menu primarily focuses on meat, there are also some excellent seafood options available, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We started with a shared appetizer of delicate tuna carpaccio, followed by an exquisite ceviche. For the main course, we opted for a perfectly cooked dry-aged steak, prepared exactly to my requested medium-rare doneness. It was absolutely outstanding. To conclude, we indulged in a dessert with a slight customization, which the staff graciously accommodated without hesitation. The entire experience was enhanced by the beautiful ambiance: every detail, from the lighting to the decor and even the background sounds, was carefully curated to create a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. While the pricing is on the premium side, the exceptional quality of the food, service, and setting more than justifies the cost. Overall, dining at L'Atelier was a memorable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a refined culinary journey.

Our friend who comes to the island once a year took us here for dinner last night. It was such a great experience and the food was delicious. One of the best meals I have had. I do not think you can go wrong with anything you order. Highly recommend! The owner walks through the entire menu and if you are a wine connoisseur they have a great wine list.

This is hands down gotta be the best restaurant on the island. We were a large party of 12 visiting in early December and I have to say the food was incredible, Alex was incredible, and it made the night for our group outing. The bone marrow was incredible, the steaks were cooked perfectly, the wine selection was on point. The price was up there, but worth every penny and I would definitely go back given the opportunity.
