Scenic Railroads
The St. Kitts Scenic Railway, a historic 20th-century train dating back to 1912, offers a leisurely 3-hour tour along the picturesque shore of St. Kitts. This unique experience takes passengers on a 30-mile journey around the island, providing stunning views of the Caribbean coastline, cliffs, and lush greenery.
My partner and I stayed in St. Kitts for a week. The Scenic Railway was by far our favorite thing we’ve done or seen the entire trip! They are very professional and kind. They had everything well planned to ensure we were on time to meet up with all the other buses. We absolutely loved our driver, she was light-hearted and knowledgeable about SKN history. The train itself was a very fun experience. They proved free drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), they had dancers show us their traditional dancing, the speakers worked very well and didn’t skip, so we could hear the host clearly. The views of the ocean and fruit trees were fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend.
Holly T — Google review
We were so excited to enjoy this unique experience. However, about 5 minutes into the ride, the train derailed and we were stuck. After quite a wait, we had to be towed back to the depot. They offered a ride after the rail was repaired but due to obvious concerns, we declined and got a full refund. The staff were amazing but the experience was, preventable or not, a let down as we moved our plans around to accommodate this date for the train and we are only here for a week. We are so disappointed.
Anthony R — Google review
Fabulous experience with Sweet Pea narrating the journey and explaining everything from the history to the plant life and wishing good morning to everyone. You get to see parts of the island that are otherwise inaccessible. Well worth a visit.
Tim H — Google review
Kurt was THE BEST bus tour guide and Sweet Pea (Patricia) was a lovely & fun train cabin host. Special thanks to Ambrosia for efficiently serving us our beverages!!! Unfortunately, there was a derailment that ended our adventure prematurely, but next time we're here in SKN, we'll schedule our tour!
Rasheeda B — Google review
The train is a lot of fun and we enjoyed seeing the island by rail. The train is a narrow gauge line, and the cars do rock a lot. They serve drinks and alcohol in the trip that was included in the fare. I recommend taking this trip and seeing the island by rail.
Chef C — Google review
Took the train ride as part of a Royal Caribbean cruise - excursion. The bus driver that picked us up at the terminal called herself “Peace & Love” and she was wonderful!!! The train ride was a bit shakey from side-side but, it’s an older train and added to the experience! The workers were very attentive and we were never without a drink in hand if we wanted it! The views were great and I swear every single person who saw the train waved…it did not matter their age, they stopped what they were doing and waived to the train! This is well worth doing and I strongly encourage you try it!
Joseph H — Google review
⚔️ Conclusion first: 3 out of 5 stars – a pleasant ride, but not an epic quest. The St. Kitts Scenic Railway feels like a side-quest on rails: an old train circling the island, rolling past sugar cane fields, tiny villages, and wide ocean views. Sitting on the open deck is charming – you almost feel like a lord surveying his lands. But the pace is slow, more like a cart with tired horses than a roaring steed. The onboard narration tells the sugar history, though at times it drags on like a tavern tale that’s a bit too long. Drinks and live singing are offered, but they feel more like bonus side-quests than the main treasure. ✨ For landscape lovers and railway nostalgics: solid fun. 😴 For adventurers craving thrill: more of a filler chapter than a legendary loot drop. 🎲 My roll: 3/5 – nice scenery, but not a must-have artifact.
Der T — Google review
We left on time, and the first half of the tour was by bus. Our driver was related a wealth of historical facts about the island as we drove through different towns. Once we disembarked, we're waiting for the train. Bathrooms were decent/clean. The train took us around the other side of the island as our hostess served us with rum- based cocktails. My husband and I had a good time.

Independence Square is a must-visit in Basseterre, featuring the bustling Basseterre Circus, reminiscent of London's Piccadilly Circus. The square is home to the Berkeley Memorial and two stunning churches - the Anglican church and the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, both showcasing impressive 18th-century architecture. Additionally, visitors shouldn't miss out on exploring the national museum housed in the Old Treasury building located in downtown Basseterre.

History Museums
The National Museum of St. Kitts is housed in a historic 1894 treasury building and offers exhibits on local history and cultural heritage. The museum provides insight into the island's past, traditions, and colonial history through its displays. Visitors can take a guided tour around Basseterre, exploring landmarks such as Piccadilly Circus, The Big Clock, Berkeley Memorial, Independence Square, former slave marketplaces, churches, the Drill Hall, and the French Governor's Residence.
I enjoyed my time in this small but very informational museum. The story of Saint Kitts was on full display. If you like history and you visit Saint Kitts you need to visit this place.
Jason B — Google review
Small museum that has a few historic artifacts of interest. A lot of the exhibits and images look like they were just pulled off the internet, but you can tell the people who put it together take pride in the work. There is a $5 USD fee to enter the museum on the second floor of the building, while the gift shop is free to enter on the first floor. Expect to spend about an hour to get through the entire museum.
Daniel C — Google review
Mrs. Moores is absolutely delicious. A friend of mine told me of this place and it was absolutely fantastic.
Kristi M — Google review
Such a disappointment, especially after seeing the Museum at Nevis. Staff were pleasant & welcoming. However, the main exhibition was both small and in my opinion, quite disinteresting - it was based on the history of carnival and led up to current day music..... There was then 1 other small room with a very limited display of information and small relics. The fact that the museum is small, is not the problem. The Museum at Nevis is small but well presented and packed with interesting historic facts. The Website states that "A tour of the Museum will take you on a journey through the early stages of sugar cultivation.  From densely covered forest to the golden and black volcanic sand covered beaches, we boast a diverse ecological experience which is on display in the museum.....Inside the museum, one may feel as if they are living in the moment as there are ample amount of information and artifacts to relate to." This was the kind of content I was interested in, but this was NOT the reality of what is currently presented at all. Some of the photos that are currently on Google reviews are not a reflection of current displays. The Museum no longer allows visitors to take photos or videos and I wonder if the current limited display is the reason for this??
Saskia F — Google review
Not much to to look at but you pass right through it on your way to town. Does have nice old timey post cards though. Turn right to the post office where you can experience true island time as you wait for the clerks.
Soo C — Google review
This is a good type of attraction to have on the island. More historic places are needed to give visitors and inhabitants a sense of identity and pride. There needs to be less bars and over-hyped, very expensive places.
Diane W — Google review
Small place. Upstairs from the gift shop, where you purchase entry tickets. The staff is friendly and competent. The salons are well laid out and organized chronologically. Nice video presentation.
J M — Google review
This is a small museum but well worth a visit. You can probably spend less than an hour here and read/view most if not all the displays at a leisurely pace.

St. George’s Anglican Church, located in Basseterre, is the largest religious institution on the island and has a rich history dating back to 1670 when it was originally built by French Jesuits to honor the Virgin Mary. The church stands as a symbol of the island's colonial past, reflecting British influence with its surroundings including luxury shops and restaurants. While it may not be the oldest Anglican church in the Caribbean, St.
I visited St. George's Anglican Church. It's peaceful and quiet. I felt calm and relaxed there. The church is a great place to reflect and unwind. I would recommend it to those seeking a peaceful retreat. It's a lovely place to visit.🤩

Peaceful place as it should be, but horrible history. One christian denomination destroyed the church and build another christian denomination church. This is a result of colonizers. A burial site too, one or too of the tombs are falling apart. I tried to peak in, but couldnt see anything. A massive old tree, so beautiful, hug it if you are there for grounding. Nice location for sure, near everything.

The most beautiful church in Basseterre, free entry and very close to the port, easy to visit on a cruise stop.
Lui — Google review
Very peaceful and nice gardens, it was open when wewent but very dark inside, no natural light. They say that you can climb the tower with a donation to the resident priests.

Beautiful grounds and historic architecture, well worth the short walk from the port. The cemetery dates back to at least 1750. Friendly congregants on site will discuss the meanings of the architecture and symbols found throughout. Get out of the tourist trap and visit this lovely site.

Palms Court Gardens is a serene and elegant destination that offers a hotel, restaurant, and pool open to non-residents. The beautiful gardens and grounds provide picturesque patios, lounges, and bar areas with stunning views of the ocean, harbor, and Nevis. Visitors can enjoy a day pass for full access to the luxurious pool, lush gardens, Jacuzzi, coastal scenery, and ocean views.
An overall perfect afternoon lunch experience. Food, drinks, service, and atmosphere was incredible. They were so nice and mentioned the birthday we were celebrating upon arrival and with dessert. A must try place if you are coming from the cruise ship dock (10-15 min walk along the ocean) or if you are staying at a resort on the island. Worth the taxi ride and bonus if you want to stay and relax by the pool (bring a change of clothes).

We loved coming here during our stop on a cruise. We would recommend this place to everyone coming to St Kitts. We were able to secure a day rate of the sun bed and access to the pool. They had games like jenga and it was a top experience for us. They had a variety of items on the menu for lunch/dinner. We had beetroot hummus, a steak roll and tuna poke bowl for lunch which both tasted great and filled us up! The garden is also beautiful - very vibrant, full of colour and very well kept. You can also see the cruise ships docked from the sea view they have. The staff has also been amazing. They accommodated to all our needs and were so welcoming! We recommend booking on their website so you are able to get a sun bed as they can get busy and you may not be able to get a sun bed.

Utterly incredible. We were here on a rainy night, And the staff made it unforgettable. It's like they could read my mind. They noticed everything. Absolutely brilliant. Don't get me wrong, it was appropriately expensive, but worth every penny for a top notch experience and a delicious meal. I've been to a lot of restaurants and this one, start to finish lands in my top ten experiences. The only thing I could even begin to criticize was the dessert was slightly overdone, but they noticed even that detail and brought a second dessert tasting without my saying a word. Bravo.

This place was walking distance from our Air Bnb. Gorgeous setting with view of the harbor, cruise ship and surrounding hills. The food was fantastic. Service also.
Annette S — Google review
We visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening as a party of five with an 8 PM reservation. Despite the rainy weather, the staff was extremely attentive and promptly rolled down the entrance covers to keep the rain from blowing in—a thoughtful touch that set a positive tone for the evening. Would definitely recommend bringing friends and family here for a special celebration. The service throughout our visit was excellent. Our server was kind, attentive, and perceptive, making sure we were well taken care of. We received our food about 30 minutes after placing our order, which felt reasonable given the setting. One our party members had initially ordered a drink, and our waitress took note of the fact that she didn’t really enjoy the drink, and offered to switch out the drink for her. The offer was accepted, and our server even made a suggestion for a drink based on our party members taste. As for the food, it was decent but not particularly memorable. The portion sizes for the entrées were smaller than expected, though the presentation was nice. I ordered the pork chops with lemongrass sauce accompanied by buttered vegetables, and it turned out to be the largest portion among our group. It was flavorful and satisfying, and I would recommend it. The appetizers were average—nothing that stood out or left a lasting impression. In terms of pricing, this restaurant is slightly more affordable compared to Spice Mill, but it does come with some trade-offs. Spice Mill offers a broader menu and more generous portions, while this spot excels in service and attentiveness, perhaps due to having fewer tables to manage. Overall, if you value great service and a more intimate dining experience, this restaurant is a solid choice. However, if you’re looking for variety and larger portions, Spice Mill might be a better option.
Jo L — Google review
An exceptional place where the delight of taste meets the beauty of the surroundings. The restaurant offers delicious dishes in a unique setting, nestled in an extraordinary garden. The poolside bar, with its friendly musical atmosphere, is perfect for relaxing while enjoying a breathtaking view. A must-visit!
Sandrine P — Google review
This restaurant had it all: good food, great ambience, and even better service. I took myself The Views at Palms Court Gardens on a solo date while visiting the island and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was worth every single penny, and I would return in a heartbeat. My waitress was super kind and personable, which made the experience even more top-tier. If you are looking for a quiet night with amazing food, Palms Court is the place to be. Also, the picturesque view of the city was to die for. I wouldn’t change anything about this restaurant.
Danielle — Google review
We visited the restaurant because of great reviews. The food was delicious, great service and the views of the city and the cruise port were fantastic. We ended having dinner there the next day. Highly recommended.

Nestled in the heart of St. Kitts, Fairview Great House & Botanical Gardens is a captivating glimpse into the island's colonial past. Built around 1701, this historic French plantation house once served military officers and has been meticulously restored to showcase its original charm. Visitors can wander through rooms adorned with period furnishings, including an impressive dining room featuring a grand mahogany table and antique silverware.
This was superb. We booked it as a tour from our cruise. The house was lovely, with gorgeous views and gardens; thehistory was really interesting; the rum tasting was generous and enjoyable and our guide, Doreen, entertaining and lovely. The rum isn't expensive (although it's supposedly a bit cheaper at the port) so worth buying here, as it keeps the museum going.
Sarah — Google review
So glad we visited here! Such beautiful gardens and a very interesting house. The information throughout the house was clear and informative. However, the slave exhibition in the basement of the house was, for me, the most impressive feature. It was very well presented, offered great detail and although incredibly sad, an amazing presentation of such important and pertinent information. We visited out of the main season so some of the 'attractions' such as cooking presentations and the gift shop were closed. We didn't use the swimming pool or bar, but they looked very clean and appealing. Signs on the road to show which turning to take were non-existent (well we didnt see any) and the road leading up to the house was extremely treacherous / so bumpy and uneven. This is my 4th time in St kitts and I have never even heard of this house before - I discovered it by chance. I am so surprised that it is not more well advertised as a tourist attraction, as it is most certainly worth a visit.
Saskia F — Google review
It's definitely worth a visit and it's a bargain at only 5usd. The house itself is gorgeous both inside and out, and the outbuildings are worth poking around in. There is a lot of information even withput a tour guide. I enjoyed taking my time without a guide. Don't miss the highly informative and unsettling history of the slave trade in the basement. The bath house is also worth checking out. I can't imagine how long it would take to fill that thing, and all by hand too! The beautifully manicured gardens have lots of signs describing the plants and trees and some interesting facts about them. It's a very peaceful and relaxing spot. Finally, if you are so inclined, you can do a rum tasting for $15 in the verandah bar. This was one of the highlights of my trip to St Kitts.

Stopover on a cruise excursion tour. Wonderful house to visit and learn a bit about history in St Kitts. We were free to walk around and - there was plenty of signage for a self-guided tour. Great views (probably my favorite) of St Kitt, and well-tended to botanical gardens.
Don B — Google review
Had a great time looking around the great house. The history is super interesting. Of course for us the Rum tasting was the main event. Doreen was awesome. Really funny and engaging. Highly recommend.
Alan F — Google review
We had a lovely cooking and rum tasting tour here. Such a lovely selection of rum we had to take home a couple bottles. We really enjoyed the cooling demonstration and tasting too. A little time exploring the gardens and the buildings and a short time relaxing by the pool was a great way to spend the morning. Very glad we chose this excursion from our Celebrity cruise while we were in port.
Sean M — Google review
Beautiful, and lovely restoration job. We got a tour and the guide was a very lovely lady with a perfect sense of humor for giving tours, informative and knowledgeable. Got to try some of the rum too; that's a 10/10 rum. I absolutely will be back.

This was the first stop on our tour of St Kitts. Plan to spend at least 45 min to an hour here as there’s so much to explore, read and learn. The house is extremely well preserved with so many details you’ll be delighted, especially if your an avid history student.

Scenic Drives
Timothy Hill Overlook is a must-visit spot in St. Kitts, offering stunning panoramic views of lush greenery and the clear Caribbean waters. It's conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from the capital, making it easily accessible for visitors. The overlook provides breathtaking sights of where the Caribbean and Atlantic oceans meet, as well as views of Nevis, the peninsula at the end of St. Kitts, and nearby beaches and resorts.
This is the classic St. Kitts photo stop: You’re standing on a ridge with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other, looking down over the narrow strip of land, the road, and those winding beaches below. It’s the kind of view that makes every photo look like a screensaver—even on a basic phone camera. What to expect: • It’s a quick stop, not an all-afternoon attraction – most people spend 10–15 minutes taking photos and soaking it in. • Usually a few local vendors, guides, and photographers are on-site. If you take photos with the horses/props or they help line up your shots, tip them—it’s part of the experience. • The pull-off area is right off the road and can get tight with buses and taxis, but drivers are used to the flow. Pro tips from a frequent reviewer: • Best time: Morning or late afternoon for softer light and cooler temps. Midday gives you the brightest water colors if you’re chasing that electric-blue look. • Cruise visitors: It’s an easy add-on to any taxi tour—just ask your driver to include Timothy Hill as a photo stop on the way to the southern beaches. • Safety: You’re right by the roadside, so watch your footing and keep an eye out for traffic while lining up shots. If you’re on St. Kitts and skip Timothy Hill, you’re basically skipping the island’s screensaver moment. Totally worth the short detour.
Don Z — Google review
Timothy Hill Overlook is undoubtedly one of the must-see spots in St. Kitts, offering breathtaking panoramic views that truly showcase the island’s natural beauty. From the overlook, you can take in a stunning view of the peninsula and the nearby sister island of Nevis, making it a perfect spot for photos. There are two lookout points at Timothy Hill. The first provides a wide, scenic vista of the coastline and the lush greenery surrounding the area, while the second offers a spectacular view of Frigate Bay, with a clear view of notable hotels like the Marriott and Royal St. Kitts. As you enjoy the views, depending on the day and time, there is also local vendors where you can purchase souvenirs. You may even be lucky enough to meet a local with a monkey, which is a fun and unique photo opportunity for visitors. In addition to the gorgeous scenery, there is a popular St. Kitts sign at the overlook where you can take photos.
Louisianne J — Google review
Truly one of the most remarkable viewpoints. Went on a weekday during the evening and had the whole viewpoint to ourselves. Be sure to walk over to the other lookout platform too that overlooks the east coast.

Zenyatta — Google review
Timothy Hill is a fantastic spot for both exercise and breathtaking views! Whether you walk up in the cool morning breeze or during a peaceful evening, the climb is refreshing and rewarding. At the top, you’re treated to a stunning panorama, the deep blue Atlantic Ocean on one side, the calm Caribbean Sea on the other and even a glimpse of the sister island, Nevis. Oh! And you might see some interesting creatures on your walk up 🐒. It’s truly a beautiful place that captures the best of St. Kitts’ natural charm. There’s no entry fee, it is 100% free and open to the public. 🌴✨

Golf course
St. Kitts offers a variety of accommodations, from oceanfront hotels to tropical organic farms. The Royal St. Kitts Golf Club is located at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort and features an 18-hole, par 71 course along the Caribbean coast. For non-Marriott guests, the Irie Fields Golf Course at Kittitian Hill offers a unique experience with organic farms alongside the fairways.
Everyone at the golf course is super nice, and the Marriott was nice to drive me over from the resort on a golf cart. Overall, the layout and visual aesthetic of the golf course are incredible. I have played a lot of golf in my life and appreciate the design and challenge of this course and facility. The views of the ocean, mountains, and homes are awesome. Certainly, the course has seen better days. It needs quite a bit of money but you can tell they are doing the best they can to keep it maintained as best as possible. I agree with other reviews that the high rough (it’s actually just completely overgrown) can be frustrating as it’s easy to lose balls. The greens are slow, but true and in decent shape all things considered. For $165 id say it’s a bit high for the overall experience given the current condition of the club, but I’d like to see this course generate as much $ and turn the conditions around. It has potential to be one of the best golf courses in the world in my opinion. Would recommend playing but keep your expectations low as for course conditions and just try to enjoy the surroundings and keep the ball in the fairway :)
Evan L — Google review
This course has the potential to be so much better! A little expensive for the course quality. Went in Feb and the greens are shaggy and run about a 5-6. Fairways are patchy and the rough/weeds… just don’t go in it. The layout is nice and the views are spectacular. 200$ for 18 and club rental is worth it if you plan on playing it once. Club house staff was a little cold and the club house looked abandoned. Bring your own drinks as the cafe may be closed. Cart guy was friendly and appreciated our visiting. Plan on lift and place. Overall if you love to golf, it is worth a one time visit.
Nicojo8 — Google review
I recently played at Royal St. Kitts Golf Club during a December visit on a cruise. While the location is absolutely beautiful, the course itself was disappointing for the $200 price tag. The grass was not mowed properly, and it was extremely difficult to find balls even when they were just slightly off the fairway—or sometimes even on the fairway. This made the experience frustrating, as I lost a lot of balls that were not even out of bounds. The greens were rough on many holes, and the overall course maintenance left a lot to be desired. The rental clubs were in bad shape, which didn’t help the experience. Adding to that, there were no cart girls for refreshments, and when we stopped at the turn, the 'bar' was unattended, and we had to wait forever for someone to serve us. This wasn’t during a low season for the area, so I was surprised by how empty the course was and the lack of staff. I assume the lack of players and upkeep reflects deeper financial struggles, which is unfortunate given the potential of the location. All in all, I did enjoy the round because the setting was so beautiful, but it was not worth $200. For what we got, I’d say $100 would have been more reasonable. I hope the course gets the investment it needs because with better maintenance and staffing, it could be a fantastic place to play. Right now, it feels like a missed opportunity.

Only golf on the island unless you go to Nevis. The lady was not very pleasant or helpful at pro shop but gentleman at cart barn was great. Course was in bad shape all around. Great views and nice to hit some balls on island. Does have a range. Overall something to do and get out and play.
C R — Google review
Played March 19, 2025. The ladies in the pro shop were probably the most helpful of any course I have played. Max, the starter and cart guy was so easy to work with. The greens were exceptional and the fairways and rough were kept at a length that made every shot playable. The photos show why this place far exceeded my expectations. 5 stars!
Jay F — Google review
Course is good! Not sure how poor are rental clubs, but course is long, uneasy, with water and hazards, picturesque and inspiring. Not flat. Fairways are a bit dry, greens are shaggy (5-6) but green:) It was $150 for 18, but should start before noon - close at 3:30. Personnel are friendly.

Loved golfing at the St. Kitts Marriott! They opened just for us after the island storm passed, and everything was back in full swing. The staff made sure water was always stocked—much appreciated with the island humidity. Beautiful ocean views and an incredible experience all around!
Veronica F — Google review
Some of the reviews are a bit unfair. It’s a Caribbean course on the water. The grass is going to reflect that. I had a lovely morning. The front is a bit plain but not unpleasant. The back is a bit more scenic with some nice views of the ocean and mountains. The rough is challenging as your ball tends to settle and can be difficult to find. The greens are quite slow, but consistent and well kept. Lots of bunkers. All in all few complaints.

Cruise terminal
Port Zante in Basseterre is a modern cruise ship terminal that offers a mix of old and new experiences. It's a bustling marketplace with shops selling duty-free luxury items and local handicrafts. The port has two berths capable of accommodating large cruise ships, providing easy access to downtown Basseterre within a 5-minute walk from the pier. Visitors can explore the lively area filled with liquor stores, casinos, restaurants, and souvenir shops without much concern for safety.
Very organised. Nice area. Good choice of bars, shops and restaurants. Close to the town. Level 10 Google reviewer with over 1,200 reviews with 2 million views plus 14,000 photos with more than 60 million views and still going strong 💪. Check out my other reviews 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

The view itself is beautiful however like other carribean islands that rely on tourism the moment you approach exiting the cruise port terminal you have 30 people shouting at you to go to the beach, take a taxi, or force a monkey on your head for a photo..I couldn't even walk next to my family and talk or complete a sentence without someone approaching us to sell services or souvenirs. At first I was polite but then it become harassment level and ruined the experience. Im on vacation for peace and quiet , this was obnoxious and I've never even encountered this in NYC. I grabbed once sarong and ran back to the cruise terminal to avoid the harassment. And yes we would say no to people but they kept pushing no taking no for an answer.

Open air tour busses and taxis are available right outside the port. The port itself is all about shopping. There were 3 big ships docked on our visit so ot was packed. The security line to get back to the ships always had a wait and no shade. You can go a block or two beyond the shopping area and see how the locals lives with ease. English was widely spoken and I always felt safe. There were lots of photo ops with monkeys and some of the animals were aggressive.
Nathan D — Google review
It’s a cute cruise port but the security and safety needs to be looked at.

Major port to embarking and disembarking to St. Kitts. When multiple ships arrive, "chaotic" is the word of the day. If you are trying to join a shore adventure, there will be dozens of drivers holding signs to try to direct you, but they are in no particular order. With hundreds of people trying to find their rides all at once...well...good luck. The Landing itself needs work. If you are mobility-challenged, I did see a shuttle, but if walking, just watch your step - it is not a smooth journey. Once inside St. Kitts, there are plenty of shops with all the usual clothes and trinkets, but you can also find alcohol, smokes, among other items.

Port Zante is a fantastic port area located in the lively city of Basseterre. The charming promenade is surrounded by colorful stores, cafes and local restaurants, making it a must-visit destination. By the way the world‘s largest cruise ship the Icon of the Seas arrived at the same time!

Nice development on the cruise port and the strip mall. It feels safer, especially not being harassed by street performers or monkey pet owners who chased tourists for high tips for just taking a snap shot of the site or performance, like it used to a few years ago. But bathrooms are available for a dollar each use. They take the money first before they let you use it, though the bathrooms are clean but ain't that modernised. Some stalls didn't even havr locks on it. That is quite expensive, where every other cruiseship offer their clean bathrooms for free.

Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, with the IATA code SKB and ICAO code TKPK, is the primary gateway to Saint Kitts in the Caribbean. Situated in Basseterre, the capital city of Saint Kitts, this airport is named after Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw, the first Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis. It serves as the sole airport on the island.
Security line may be a little slow. Staff was friendly. I got pulled aside and they went thru my carryon and the wait still want to bad. Places to grab food and random souvenirs as well. I would definitely arrive 2 hours prior to departure
Christina R — Google review
Be ready to walk down stairs on arrival as there’s no jetway directly into the terminal. Factor in the weather for the 100m walk. We arrived at a fairly slow time so got through immigration and customs pretty quickly - they were very efficient. Be sure to do your entry online ahead of time or you’ll have to do it when you arrive. I can see how things in baggage and customs might slow down with multiple planes arriving at once. Convenient entry into Saint Kitts, with ground transportation just steps from the terminal.
Wayne L — Google review
Everything flowed smoothly. I arrived about 2 hours before my flight departed and made it through security about 30 mins before boarding. If traveling on a weekend, I recommend arriving at least 2 hours early. My only complaint is their was a water outage, so I couldn't use the restroom before I boarded the plane.
Tara K — Google review
This airport should be a lot better for such an idyllic island. The place isn’t well air conditioned and there isn’t enough room for all the passengers and well wishers during the busy period. Worse is that that process is poor - passport and boarding pass check to enter the security area and then AGAIN 15 seconds later the at bag scanning. Weird seating configuration in the waiting room, toilets at the ragged edge of bearable and few options for food. Spoils a beautiful place to visit somewhat.
Ian W — Google review
Small airport. No ammenities or airline clubs. There are bathrooms, 2 small stores selling drinks, snacks and souvenirs once you passed the security. There’s also a small cafe that you can order some local food.

So glad to be back in St. Kitts. Such a welcoming arrival at Bradshaw. Shiloh helped us through the whole process and our Titanic sized load of luggage. The staff at customs, immigration and the valet were all friendly and helpful.

I went to Temptations Duty Free, there are actually two outlets there run by the same company! They sell gifts and I bought 4 baby vests for my grandchildren (all for under 1 year old’s ) and a small bottle of hot sauce which they said was a total of 70 dollars. I assumed Eastern Caribbean dollars but it turns out it was US dollars which meant I paid £54 for 4 baby vests and a small bottle of hot sauce! Just shocking! I then asked for a refund and they said no they couldn’t give me one. Really bad customer service, absolutely nothing in the shop was priced as all and they seem to make up prices as they go! My receipt showed a total amount rather than itemising what I had brought. I feel absolutely conned and would never shop there again.
Julie Q — Google review
Surprisingly good experience at this airport, considering a number of bad comments. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Facilities limited. It seems that duty free shopping is only available when US and UK airlines depart.

The sand is beautiful, and the water was nice. Lots of places to rent your chair and umbrella. I found it more windy (breezy) on the south side, which some may like. The water was pretty calm, but the wind made it a bit chilly
Sarah W — Google review
My partner and I stayed on St. Kitts for a week. Our taxi driver recommended Cockleshell Beach for a quieter atmosphere. Although it was incredibly busy, it was still quiet and relaxed. Chair and umbrella rentals were affordable. The water was okay, some areas had that grassy stuff. The water was on the shallow side, so it’s very kid-friendly; there were no waves. If you bring goggles you can find fish, crabs, even turtles! This beach was great for shell hunting!

Pn rhe arrival you can see a lot of rubbish and old burnt car. Not inviting at all, looks abandoned. Only when you walk long, you find this nice beach
Ags — Google review
The beach was stunning. Golden sand and crystal-clear water which was warm and fun to swim in. Lots of seaweed when we went (April) but we also saw a starfish and several conch shells. It was beautiful. The only minor downside was that we had to pay for the umbrella and people kept coming by trying to sell braiding/messaging services.
Cory B — Google review
We were only there for a few hours as it was part of our excursion from a cruise.

Really cool beach. Not too big and not too crowded. It was a little windy when we were there today. Water is clean and clear. We paid $10 for umbrella and 2 chairs. Beers at $3. We enjoyed it. I would take the farthest side since the tide is calmer and less wind. There are jet ski rentals available.

The current church was dedicated in 1928 and features a unique design resembling a Union Jack. This sacred space offers a serene environment for prayer and reflection, attracting visitors from all over.
A beautiful Catholic Church just across the street from an equally impressive square with some massive trees with spectacular root systems and a quaint little fountain. The church itself is a lovely place to sit and relax and reflect. Please leave a small donation for the general upkeep and maintenance.

Went to attend Saturday vigil mass at 6:30. Priest was one of the most engaged, enthusiastic priests I’ve ever witnessed in my 50+ years as a cradle Catholic. Brought my daughter. Almost 2 hours long. Choir was also enthusiastic - sang every refrain and song with drums as primary instrument. Had fellow parishioners bringing us song books as they wanted everyone to”engaged” in the mass. Open windows and plentiful fans enhanced the environment.

Lovely parishioners. Things I absolutely enjoyed include: 1)the youth choir during the Saturday vigil masses/ Sunday masses. The adult choir is also harmonious! 2) how the congregation hold hands during the 'Our Father' and how they move around to share the 'peace of the Lord'. 3) the welcome song ' O we love you, love you, love you, yes we do.., O we love you, love you, yes we do.., O we love you, love you, love you, no matter where you're from, for we have seen the risen Christ in you!! 4) The parish also had a bus and a parishioner who volunteered to pick people who need help in getting to church on Sundays and also back to their homes. Review is from 2014 (can't say if it's still the same)

Saw ital creations when I searched for a restaurant in the area. The farm and menu intrigued me so we stopped for an early dinner. My husband and I both ordered the special which had basmati rice, vegan meat. Patty, beans, and salad. Food was the perfect temperature and everything was delicious. We decided to try two of the desserts and they did not disappoint. I hope to be able to go back before we head home.

The food was plated so beautifully - very innovative combinations of flavors and one could sense how very thoughtfully and consciously crafted …however with that said, I arrived towards the end of the day and the food was stone cold - sure that was okay for the salad/raw portions, but it had soooo much potential to taste a thousand times better if much of the items had been warmed even a smidge —-/ also there was a dead fly swimming in the sauce or curry … rather disappointing really. I would love to return, but certainly would choose to arrive closer to opening or lunch time when the food is more freshly cooked… The sitting area is so peaceful and green 💚

Pretty sad as of April 2025. A few stands, mostly run by elderly women, selling a limited selection of mostly starchy root vegetables. No crafts A bit dark and depressing. I still liked looking for a few minutes.

Our natural products brand Nature's Best participated in the first Agriculture Department quarterly Night Market held on Thursday 23rd February 2023. We were given a different stall this time around and the overall layout was quite different from the previous events. To be honest I was wondering if the new location would result in reduced income. This being said time was taken to ensure that our display met the normal standard. As the sun set last Thursday the market began to buzz with activity. The new layout placed artisans and agro processors at opposite ends while farmers were sandwiched in the middle. Cooked food was located near the main road entrance while barbecue was located at back. All in all the experience has been good not only from a vendor's perspective but we network with farmers, Entrepreneurs, government officials and best of all the general public. The Agriculture Department Night Market is an event which has something for everyone whether you are looking for food be it fresh from the farm or cooked, household items, wellness products, herbal teas, fish or just a place to social with friends while enjoying cultural displays of music and dance. Don't miss the next one

It's a very small market, of mostly fresh herbs produce and spices. Not for from the town center. Come in the morning when it's still fresh. Park along the alley and just walk, or take a bus to the town center and just walk. I bought a lot of herbs, fruits hot peppers which I was able to bring back to the USA with no issues. I consumed the fruits in the hotel while on the island.

Not much to see. Had some local food at this place called National Food Eatery... Don't know if normal, but the lady asked me if I wanted the food hot. I said yes, so she microwaved it 😅 it seemed kinda weird to me... Anyways. That food was good! It was some sort of fish stewed in tomato with coconut dumplings (stew was better than dumplings, sorry) The lady offered me a drink with had a ginger weird taste (noticed this drink very common in many Carib islands) price... Felt it a bit expensive, but ok I guess. She agree to take me dollars xD

Beautiful hand done batik. Very friendly staff. Colorful well kept grounds. Clean bathroom. There are nice chairs inside and out for men to wait and relax. It is right next to the Rum distillery

On a cruise, we stopped by St Kitts and got a driver to take us around the island. This was one of his suggestions, so we drove up the small, rough rainforest road. As we drive up, we see the ~500 year old tree. It was $3/per person to walk the grounds and it is well worth it. There are some beautiful landscapes that have views of the ocean below. After spending time feeling crammed on a cruise boat, it was finally nice to sit on a bench under this huge tree and hear nothing but nature around. The tapestries they made were beautiful and impressive. They are building a new viewing deck a little higher, but the views over the sugar mill were a different view than you get down by the beach to see the rainforest hills. Carib beers and rum punch are a little more expensive, but were refreshing on a warm summer day. I highly suggest stopping here if you are on the island for some peace and quiet time.

Caribelle Batik Plantation was another stop. We were able to see how beautiful batiks are made. Now I gave understanding as to why batik fabrics are so expensive. The grounds are stunning! The road to the plantation was very narrow and curvy.

It only takes around 30 minutes to walk around and see everything, but there is a bar and really nice gift shop if you want to relax and spend more time there. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is stairs in a few places, so those with mobility issues may struggle a bit. Car parking but free but drive super slow as the road is very bumpy and uneven to access. Loved it here - like a small slice of paradise.

They say they charge admission but they didn’t. When you get there you walk through these beautiful grounds with flowers and beautiful views of the water. This is a must do for Saint kits. It is not cheap but the products are well worth their while. My wife has worn their outfits every day which since we arrive. They only sell their stuff at their main store which is this location and one near the port where the cruise ships come in. But this is the big store where they do the demonstration. It is a must see! Bring your wallet. The colors of their fabric are very vibrant. And we wash them while we were here at our room and they wash very nicely. They get softer the more you wash them.

Swim with Dolphins
Dolphin Discovery St Kitts offers an unforgettable experience for visitors to St. Kitts and Nevis. The Dolphin Swim Adventure allows guests to interact with dolphins in their natural habitat, providing an opportunity to swim alongside these magnificent creatures and witness their playful acrobatics. Additionally, the surrounding waters are ideal for fishing, catering to both traditional sustenance needs and recreational angling.
We had such an amazing time today at Dolphin Discovery for Father’s Day! The whole experience was fun, well-organized, and truly memorable. Special shoutout to Charnelle, our photographer — she captured every beautiful moment perfectly, and made sure we left with memories we’ll treasure forever. We had the pleasure of interacting with Penelope the dolphin, and it was such a joy! She was playful, smart, and full of energy. Jesus, our trainer, was knowledgeable, patient, and made the entire session both safe and fun. Definitely a five-star experience and one we’ll never forget. Thank you to the whole team for making our Father’s Day so special!

A great experience until we got to $170 for photos. I would 9 out of 10 if that was the scale, but since it's not, it's just not a 5 star They took a large group and broke it up to smaller groups with nine. That was very comfortable. The staff was pretty amazing and truly a once in a lifetime experience.
Thomas G — Google review
Simply an awesome experience. The dolphins seems well looked after and happy. Friendly staff too.
Steve B — Google review
What an incredible experience we loved it from start to finish… would recommend to everyone! We had ample time in the water with the dolphins, the trainers were great, there was space to leave your belongings in lockers (free of charge), and also showers if needed too. We booked the photo package beforehand and this seemed the most sensible option as is not, you will be charged per photo and it works out crazy expensive… the package however was great value for money… we ended up with just under 100 photos between us for $55pp. The staff were also helpful and friendly at the centre and there is a little shop for souvenirs should you wish to purchase.

We had an amazing time with Penelope the dolphin — she was so sweet and fun. Huge thanks to Jesus for being a great trainer and to Charnelle for capturing the best moments. A truly unforgettable experience!
Jermaine W — Google review
Absolutely fantastic experience from dolphins, to crew, to the ladies working in the Gift shop. Half as pricey as SeaWorld back home, and they have smaller groups, longer dolphin interactions, more pictures per price, and they redo the tricks if they don't get a good photo! The dolphins were happy and well cared for, and we're eager for interactions, bright eyed and understood the body language for the "tricks" and behaviors. The handlers knew them well and did well guiding them, and were super knowledgeable about their behaviors out in the wild. Lilo, a 27 year old dolphin, she was super energetic and healthy for her age, and had the cutest birthmark on her tail fin that looked like a rose tattoo! Sweet dolphins, great staff, and great photos! Highly recommend as an experience for all ocean and wildlife lovers.
Sierra V — Google review
Absolutely worth the time, money AND get the digital photos that they will make sure all get delivered right to your phone. I upgraded my package for an addition $30 to do two extra swims/ activities with the dolphins and it was also amazing.
Mary M — Google review
We really enjoyed this excursion but the organization of the different groups in different pools was not the best. Some trainers gave zero information while others were marine biologists sharing their knowledge during the encounter. There was a lack of communication between the staff and participants and things felt very disorganized with how the staff placed people and organized the encounter activities. They don’t allow you to bring your own cameras and charge an exorbitant amount of money to purchase the photos they take. The dolphins seemed to really love the trainers so that’s a good thing. I would do this again but would pick a different package and hope to not be in the kind of group I was placed in.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Basseterre, Boozies on The Beach is a delightful budget-friendly restaurant that captures the essence of Kittitian cuisine with its focus on fresh seafood. Guests rave about their conch fritters, which are perfectly fried to a golden crisp. The atmosphere is laid-back and inviting, making it an ideal spot for unwinding after a day in the sun.
We went on a very busy night but they were helpful to sit us right away and serve us as best as possible. The rum punch was really solid, chicken Alfredo was also. My wife really liked her meal. Overall a really cool place and atmosphere. Would recommend. A taxi from the Marriott was only $10 and about 5 minutes each way.
Evan L — Google review
Atmosphere very chill and calm. Service on point. Prices very reasonable. Boozies lobster incredible. Even the nachos were mind blowing. Our host jahquim is the man. He took very good care of my family. Maybe the best host in the carribean.
Cappicus S — Google review
Lovely flavoursome food served in big portions here. You get good value for money. The waitresses are not quite as friendly as you would like, but the bar staff seemed friendly. Atmosphere was not as lively as elsewhere on the strip, so would be a good place to unwind. Can't critique the food, it was delicious. Was not a long wait for the food for us either.
Zenyatta — Google review
Unfortunately, we were not lucky this night. We came there at six and they said the kitchen will be open by seven. We came back at 7:30 and it was not easy to get a table even though there were tables available. After some waiting, they seated us. It took at least half an hour until the waitress came to get our order for drinks in. We ordered food right away as well. The appetizers didn’t came and we were about to leave after an hour of wait. Then our appetizers came; yet we were awaiting for the main course. After staying two hours in the restaurant, we weren’t served our main dish and we decided to leave the place. The food looked amazing on the other tables. The service was questionable. If you spend more time in Saint Kitts, maybe it would be worth a try to go back there; however that night we weren’t lucky at all.
Sabine U — Google review
What a charming spot by Frigate Beach. Although the tables are a little jammed inside but it’s cozy and comfortable. Our server was very nice and patience as we took awhile to order. The frozen Mojito was very refreshing on a hot summer night. We had the delicious Coconut Shrimp and Jalapeño Pepper for starters. I got the Garlic Conch, very tendered and flavorful. Hubby had the Steamed Whole Snapper which was cooked just right. Not only food tastes good and also big portions as well.
GrAcIE W — Google review
Their lobster is the best on this island! Their food surprises you in every bite! I came every single week the time I was there. You probably have to wait a million years for the food but it's 100% worth waiting! Little reminder: the staff has their moments sometimes :)
詹斯穎 — Google review
Excellent food. Good portion sizes. Fair prices. Quick service. My wife had the BBQ pork ribs and I had the Cajun shrimp pasta. We shared coconut shrimp as an appetizer. High scores for all choices, with the pasta being a highlight for both of us for how rich and cheesy it was.

Fantastic food, very good service. Whilst it was quite busy I didn't notice much of an atmosphere. Being with other people may have distracted me from any atmosphere. That said, the decor is good and it was nice and clean. I would certainly recommend a visit..

The Berkeley Memorial, erected in 1883 at the heart of Basseterre's Circus, pays tribute to Thomas Berkeley Hardtman-Berkeley, a prominent figure in St. Kitts' history. This iconic landmark serves as a reference point for visitors navigating the streets of Basseterre and connects motorists on the bay-road to the island's main road.
The tourist seems have to visit there, so I came. It’s a sightseeing spot with heavy history feeling~
Vicky — Google review
It's a fountain and a clock, despite being one of the most iconic spots in Basseterre, it's nothing remarkable. Close to the port and easy to visit.
Lui — Google review
The Berkeley Memorial was erected in 1883 and was for a long time the only public memorial commemorating an individual in St. Kitts. It was dedicated to the memory of Thomas Berkeley Hardtman Berkeley, a legislator and owner of the estates called Fountain, Greenland, Greenhill, Ottleys, Shadwell and Stone Fort. The structure contains a clock and drinking fountain. It was designed and produced by George Smith and Co of Glasgow, Scotland. Two other similar structures were produced by the foundry but only the one in St. Kitts survives to this day. It sits in the center of bassetere and should be on your picture list if you visit.
Timothee M — Google review
A unique memorial in the original centre of downtown Basseterre. It's a roundabout itself, surrounded by business enterprises ranging from banks and restaurants to tour companies, transportation services and clothing, and cosmetics. Interestingly, it has a standpipe, which was an important part of the social landscape decades ago. And it has a working clock.
Louis L — Google review
Pretty cool. Looks a little like the fountain in London, Picadilly circle. Big traffic circle crazy drivers, minimal driving rules. Watch yourself! It even has a clock in it the locals call "little Ben", after Big Ben in London.

Embark on an exhilarating adventure with the Mad Max dune buggy beach tours in St. Kitts and Nevis, offering a unique sea-side perspective of the sister islands. Explore the west coast's stunning features such as Mount Liamuiga and Brimstone Fortress, as well as the south-east peninsula and Mount Nevis. The tour provides an off-road experience combined with on-road racing, allowing you to witness breathtaking views while driving through diverse terrains.
Highly recommend this tour - great way to see the island of St Kitts and a lot of fun driving the dune buggies. The tour hosts are extremely knowledgeable about the island and extremely friendly. We ended our tour at Shipwreck Beach which is a great spot to grab lunch and a drink and take a dip in the Caribbean after off-roading all over the island
Brett W — Google review
So much fun! The rain from Hurricane Tammy washed out some of the trails but Obo pivoted and gave us an incredible day. We chased rain around the island and got wet and muddy but Obo checked in regularly to make sure we were good and up for the adventure. No doubt he would have kept us dryer if that had been our preference. Great pictures at Timothy Hill and a wonderful lunch at Ship Wreck after driving was done. 100% recommend!
Jeremy R — Google review
Great tour. Booking the ATV excursion your cruise line offers will give you no where near the fun and excitement you will receive on this tour. You’ll meet great people all around from your taxi driver, to your tour guides, and even the people at the beach and bar. Definitely will be back when in St.Kitts again.
Hezekiah L — Google review
Love love loved this tour! Maxine was right on time to pick us up, had a large van big enough to comfortably sit the four in my family and 4 in another. Rusty had us going in the buggies in no time, he was a great help. Obo and Rusty took us all around the island, it was so fun to off road, but also cool to drive on the other side of the road! They were so helpful while we were driving. Rusty continously cleaned our windows to ensure a safe ride! We then went to JoJos and had the best rum punch ever. She really is a local gem!! Maxine took us to the beach/shipwreck and gave us extra time since our boat was due to set sail a little later then it was supposed to. Delicious fish tacos, a great place to snorkel as the reef is just 5 feet from the shore. All in all I would highly recommend Mad Max and her amazing crew. Thank guys so much!
Heather A — Google review
The trip completely lives up to the hype - adrenaline rush plus some breathtaking views of the island, a fantastic guide, and a great final lunch stop. Will be the first thing we book when we go back.
James D — Google review
Super fun half day tour! Starts off with a tutorial and then you are off. Tour is part on road and part off-road racing around. Then they drop you at the beach/shipwreck bar where you can grab great food and drinks, see monkeys and go for a swim. We loved it! The guides were knowledgeable, helpful, kind and funny. Highly recommend this for a day out in St. Kitts.

Nature Paradise Tours - St. Kitts offers an unforgettable experience for those looking to explore the beauty of this charming island. Despite its small size, St. Kitts is packed with activities that cater to all interests, ensuring you won't miss a thing during your visit. With expert guides at the helm, you can relax and soak in the stunning scenery without any worries.
What a wonderful day on St Kitts! We booked Nature Paradise tours and requested Moses based on their reviews. So glad we did! My wife and our three adult “kids” had a fun filled educational tour from a passionate guide! One of my daughters commented if Moses had been her history teacher she would have learned so much more! There is so much to see and learn about this wonderful island! I highly recommend Nature Paradise tours…. And Moses!!
Dan C — Google review
What a great experience of the Island with Moses. Myself and the family had a great day out going through all the historical sites and seeing the beautiful views the country has to offer. Would highly recommend!
Mujahid S — Google review
I was able to book with Moses via WhatsApp for 40 people. We were picked up from the cruise terminal in Port Zante on January 18, 2025. We took the St. Kitts full island tour, and our group enjoyed the sights. Our entire party fit into two open tour buses, one with 16 seats and the other with 24. Moses' father and brother served as the tour guides and drivers. The tour also included drinks (beer, rum punch, cola, water) and Wi-Fi for the entire trip. Our tour started at 9am and ended at 1 pm. We had enough time to explore the Port afterward. The price was super worth it compared to the cruise line's shore excursion. Overall, I would recommend Moses' Nature Paradise tour.
Aaron F — Google review
We had an amazing experience with Nature Paradise Tours in St. Kitts! Scheduling through Moses via WhatsApp was super easy, and he was incredibly kind and accommodating. My husband and I took the tour while at port for our honeymoon, and Moses made sure everything worked perfectly with our cruise schedule. We had a fantastic time exploring St. Kitts, and our guide was so friendly and professional. The price along with free drinks on the tour can't be beat!! Highly recommend booking through Moses if you’re visiting the island!
Samantha S — Google review
I visited St. Kitts back in April and I have nothing but good things to say about James & Moses. They were able to accommodate a very last-minute booking (literally the night before) and I was still able to have a packed tour of the island. Based on reviews, I was expecting for Moses to be my tour guide, but instead I had James and he did a great job! At first I was a little weary because as a solo female traveler, safety is very important to me but l felt 100% safe and had a really great time on my tour. James was kind, respectful and very knowledgeable of St. Kitts history. If I ever come to St. Kitts again, I would definitely book a tour of the other side of the island and l highly recommend Nature Paradise to anyone looking.
Sydney S — Google review
My friends and I arrived in St Kitts on a cruise ship and wasn't sure what to do.. I saw several guides in the port area offering their different tours. Moses approached me and explained his tour and what we would see. He was very friendly and not pushy. We decided to go on his tour. At 10:30am we met him at the yellow umbrellas and we got into his vehicle. We had a very nice 2+ hour tour. At the end of the tour he offered to bring us back to the ship, or stay at a beach for an hour or two and return to pick you up and return to the ship. He explained a lot of history and was very friendly. He provided cold water/beer/rum punch whenever we needed it. I would recommend him 100%.
Sunny W — Google review
Moses is an amazing tour guide super energetic and very friendly and fun guy. Highly recommend look or ask for Moses. Also has the best music on the tour bus! Get on this tour and won’t regret! St. Kitts was fun

I cannot say enough good things about our experience on this tour! Moses was the best tour guide, he made the best of the little rain we got, very informative on the history of the island and made sure we got the most out of our experience. I know there’s a lot of options when you get to the island but this should be at the top of your list! Thank you Moses!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Basseterre, the Warner Park Sporting Complex is a hub of athletic excitement and community spirit. This expansive venue boasts the renowned Warner Park Stadium, which gained fame for hosting matches during the 2007 Cricket World Cup. With a cricket pitch, modern media center, and seating for up to 10,000 spectators during major events, it’s a must-visit for sports enthusiasts.
This is the first time I have visited the new Warner Park Sporting Complex, and I was most impressed. Although my attendance at the complex was for the St Kitts MusicFest 2023, I could see all the new additions to the old Warner Park. I hope the development is not finished as the cricket pitch looks wonderful, so now let's see the football stand mirror all the good work in the near future.

When visiting the beautiful islands of St. Kitts and Nevis, Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) serves as your gateway to adventure. Located on St. Kitts, this airport welcomes travelers with direct flights from major U.S. cities like Miami, New York, Charlotte, and Atlanta through airlines such as American Airlines, Delta, and JetBlue.
This airport is actually pretty dang perfect. It’s very small but that’s what makes it great. It’s located about 5 minutes drive from downtown which makes it incredibly convenient and you should be able to get a taxi to the airport for 20 EC. This airport also has very friendly workers. The bathrooms were pretty clean and the few shops it had actually weren’t too expensive well at least the little snack shops. And man the VIBE was so chill the entire time I was in the airport they had owl city playing through their speakers making the space just still laidback. This airport is not the most modern or fancy but it gets the job done well.

Great airport. Very clean and Covid conscious. On arrival it was a breeze doing all the paperwork in advance. On departure, lines weren’t bad and we sailed through security. They really have it down. Suggestion- bring pens with you throughout the trip. Good for filling out forms, signing checks, etc. No masks required once you get through security. Very nice. If only more of the airports in the US were run this well……

The ground staff were so helpful. My sister and I were traveling wheelchair assisted and they could not have been more helpful. We had omitted to fill out our entry paperwork and they helped us with that too. They got our bags from the pick up point and found us a taxi to our destination. Everyone was very cheerful and smiling.
Karleen C — Google review
The airport staff and customs were amazing. Coming back to the US, they were strict about the quart-sized bag for liquids. I didnt realize that, but the security were very pleasant about. Also went I arrived at SKB, I asked one of the security guards outside of the terminal about Hertz Rental. The security made sure I found Hertz's representative. Thankful for all the St. Kittitians I encountered.

Definitely can't handle large crowds on arrival, total chaos, took about 45 mins for bags to be brought on luggage belt. Departure lounge is incredibly hot.

After Hurricane Maria this was the only airport in the region with commercial flights back to the US. The airport staff are great. Very friendly and helpful. Blue Water Safaris offers a dreamy experience of catching a sunset over the Caribbean Sea in St Kitts, making it one of the best things to do on the island. The catamaran trip provides rest, relaxation, and delicious rum punch. Guests praise the accommodating crew, enjoyable snorkeling experiences with beautiful marine life, and fun activities like kayaking and mini speed boat excursions. The guides are highly recommended for their exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for visitors.
Our hotel was charging us too much to set up a catamaran full day trip. Some guest here suggested we contact Blue Water. Great suggestion!!!! Very easy to book online. Show up 15 minutes early and they board you on the boat. VERY friendly and helpful crew with a sense of humor. We set off after safety instructions and the music was perfect for sailing. Immediately they started offering drink and even delivering to everyone. The rum punch was the popular option but they had Carib beer and other alcoholic drinks. The weather was a bit windy but didn’t affect the sailing as catamarans sail right over the waves. We stopped at Shipwreck for 45 minutes of snorkeling. Water was calm and there were plenty of fish to see closer to the shore. Upon returning to the boat a fantastic lunch was waiting for us. I’ve been on several of these tours and this was the best lunch I’ve had. From there we headed off to Nevis island were they drop you off at Sunshine restaurant were you have a couple of hours to chill. Try the killer bee drink, very tasty. About 3:20 we headed off back to the marina while they continue to serve drinks and music is jammin. Highly recommend you only book you tour through Blue Water. Thanks guys, great time!

Did a full day catamaran cruise on our cruise stop in St Kitts & Nevis. It was amazing, snorkeling was awesome and the beach in Nevis was beautiful. Staff was friendly helpful and very personable. They provided yummy food (banana bread was delicious) and always made sure everyone had a drink in their hand. played fun music and danced along with everyone. It was the best stop on our 7 day cruise. Thank you blue water for an eventful memorable day. I can’t recommend this excursion enough. 10 out of 10 for sure!!

This was definitely the highlight of our trip. This crew was fun, amazing so polite and helpful and just made for a great time. I have been on many boat tours and not had great food but this lunch they provided and all their drinks were really impressive. I would highly recommend this for anybody. It’s family friendly. You can snorkel if you want or you don’t have to. Boat is very large and plenty of places to sit you can get out of the sun if you need to. We had a really amazing time our family of four with two teenagers

Absolutely Fantastic! We went on the half day trip and had a blast! We were so impressed by every aspect of our trip. The booking process was easy, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the boat was clean and well kept, the trip was well organised and set off and ended at the specified times - I can not fault anything. We really enjoyed the lunch and drinks throughout. There was plenty of food, it was very tasty and all looked to have been hygienically prepared and served. The snorkeling spot that we stopped off at was honestly one of the most beautiful areas I have ever snorkeled in. Not only were the number and varied species of fish incredible, but we saw sea turtles and even an OCTOPUS! Definitely plan to do another trip with these guys when we're back on the island.

This was such a fun day! My husband booked for my birthday while we were in port on a cruise ship. Timely pickup, good driver, all the staff was very friendly. The men who take you out on the boats couldn’t have been nicer or funnier. One of them actually gets in the water and snorkels with you pointing out amazing things that could easily be missed. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

A totally outstanding trip. Wherever we go as a family we tend to book a boat excursion, we've done it in the Med, Atlantic and Carribean a number of times. This was the best by far. Yes, we travelled the Carribean Sea to Nevis, snorkled (excellent snorkeling gear that worked well including flippers) and saw amazing fish and turtles, ate a lovely lunch on board and then stopped off at Nevis for a couple of hours on one of the loveliest beaches I've ever been on. On top of that we had a free bar with beer, soft drinks and rum cocktails. But this really wasn't the best thing. The crew were experienced, kind and totally respectful. At every point, I felt safe and well looked after. There were a few single ladies on the trip and they were also treated with respect and care. I would HIGHLY recommend this trip. It really was a memorable day for me and my family.

Good place to anchor. The coast guard is right off the south east portion of the harbor. They stopped by on our first day out there, they were friendly and professional. Also an easy dinghy ride to the fisherman's dock to go to Ram's or Best buy and a little bit longer dinghy ride up to the marina and Port Zante.

Saint Kitts and its great, fantastic scenery on the top of the hill where the two parts of the Island separates. The golf is unforgettable for the terrific views, some resorts needs to be visited. A paradisiac place!
Christophe P — Google review
This is a place for a their cruise ship to dock when the other two spots at Port Zante are occupied. It is a freight yard. There isn't much there, but it's really close to all the fun stuff in Basseterre.
Bfurl69 — Google review
It's a port. It can host cruises or container ships. It had a section recently renovated. They have security at the entrance, like any port would. Not much else to say about a port.

Marriott Vacation Club St Kitts, also known as St. Kitts Beach Club, is a large resort-style property with its own beautiful sandy beach. The hotel has been undergoing renovations and offers spacious units with renovated rooms available upon request. Guests can enjoy clean rooms, a great location with nearby restaurants and activities, and reliable internet access. The resort maintains a comfortable atmosphere even at 75% capacity, providing ample poolside seating and attentive service from staff.
My husband and I are vacation club members and recently stayed. We had a wonderful time. We were told the resort was at 75% capacity but it never felt crowded to us. There were plenty of open chairs around the pool and easy access to waiters/bartenders. Our favorite spot at the hotel was Arwee Sushi in the lobby, a casual bar with awesome sushi. Jawald was a great bartender, he was quick and attentive to the customers. Our favorite sit down meal was at FIRE steakhouse, all the food was delicious. The pool bar/grill had decent options, I enjoyed the Greek salad. I recommend skipping the pizza shack, the pizza is very heavy and oily. I would have preferred a light flatbread pizza for my poolside lunch. Everyone at the resort was so nice. Even our housekeeper, SueAnn, was so sweet to chat with, she left a fresh flower in our room. The suite was spacious & clean. Hotel grounds were well maintained. It is very easy to get transportation around the island from this location
Michael L — Google review
See my review on the hotel. The MVC units are wonderful. We had a two bedroom for the two of us just so we could spread out and get the larger kitchen. Internet is fairly good, but can be slow at times when everybody else is on. The rooms are very clean and great location with many restaurants and things to do within walking distance. We rented a car so we didn’t have to pay the excessive $25 taxi cab ride each direction. Hertz has a location in the lobby. We used bull’s-eye, and it was OK. Not great. Cars are rather beaten up. Nowhere to eat at the hotel that’s any good. It’s mainly overpriced and not great food. Very friendly service and housekeeping does an excellent job. We were here for 11 days and enjoyed every bit of it.
Rodney K — Google review
Marriott does a nice job with their vacation club resorts. This is no exception. What is nice is that combining the resort and the hotel, you see some additional options. The staff here is wonderful and helpful. A very nice place to stay.
Aric B — Google review
We had a day passes here for our family when the cruise ship stopped here. We went to the beach & had the most amazing (& reasonably priced) massages on the beach. I have not experienced something like that before - and to be fair I do not get massages often, however to get one on the beach was amazing. Make sure you look for Iyana Cummings - she is an independent business that is licensed to work on the beach in front of the Marriot. Amazing. Thank you Iyana
Richard W — Google review
Vacation club members, have been to a number of Marriott’s places and this is the worst so far. The apartment is still spacious and nice but the view is bad. I came here for a beach vacation but don’t have any view of the beach, can hardly see the ocean…very disappointed 😣
Diana — Google review
We had the best vacation here. Everything from the spacious 2 bedroom suites, to all upgrades and brand new appliances. The friendliest of staff and delicious food and best rum punches, made for a fabulous vacation for my 50th birthday. We will definitely be back.
Tracie U — Google review
Before I write this it's important to know we were visiting for 2 weeks during which the resort was having major renovation works done across the site AND shortly after St Kitts had reopened after covid. A lot of the resort wasn't open as a result. However, our 2 bedroom villa which was part of Westbury building was amazing! It was right on the beach, literally the waves crashed over the wall only 20 feet away sometimes! The villa was well furnished and decorated, high ceilings, comfortable beds, sofas and chairs and had everything you could want or pretty much need for a proper stay. I'd say that 95% of the staff were phenomenally helpful and friendly and made our stay feel special. The beach is on the Atlantic side of the island so bare in mind the sea can be a lot rougher here than on the eastern, Caribbean ocean side. But it's still very beautiful with some of the most spectacular sunrises I've ever seen in my life! Downsides... Staff weren't always very well informed and we got told different things by different people leading to numerous moments of confusion and frustration at wasted time and energy. Also, even though the pizza was very good, some of the other food was rather bland or very poor and inedible. So maybe it was due to the time we visited but either way, the food was not up to the level I expect from a Marriot.
Daniel S — Google review
Spacious, clean rooms. Perfect for families. Has room service available, and very close to the beach and to the facilities at the main hotel. Good service, friendly and helpful staff, and a place for kids to play while their parents relax at the beach or get work done. Very well integrated with the main hotel, with good restaurants and pool nearby.

Nestled in the heart of Independence Square, the Gallery Cafe and Art Gallery is a delightful fusion of art and culinary delights. This charming spot not only serves up exceptional coffee and fresh juices but also tempts visitors with an array of homemade treats like cookies, cakes, bagels, and pastries. The cafe is owned by Rosey Cameron, who has made this Caribbean paradise her home since 1977.
Great local art, beautiful setting, homemade pastries and friendly staff.

Adonis Tour & Beach from Porte Zante is a popular choice for cruise passengers looking to explore St Kitts and the surrounding area. The tour company offers island tours, beach excursions, and transportation services close to the port and ferry terminal. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as exploring local attractions, dining at restaurants and food courts, shopping for souvenirs, and relaxing at the beach.
We booked a horseback riding excursion with them and could not be happier. It was easy to book and easy to find them at the port. Our driver was Lee and he was awesome! We had a comfortable ride in a van with AC that took about 10 minutes to get there. We had Nigel as a guide and Treasure, Oreo, Ranger and OJ as our horses. Everything went great. The trip up the mountain was fun and we had no issues. We liked that the guide let us ride and was not constantly telling us we needed to do something. We only wish they had cold waters at the end of the ride although Lee stopped at the store and bought us some. All in all it was an extraordinary day!

Port Zante in St. Kitts is a vibrant cruise port bursting with Caribbean charm! Right in Basseterre, it’s steps from colorful shops selling souvenirs, duty-free jewelry, and local batik. The food court serves tasty curried goat and tandoori prawns, with local Carib beer to sip. Steel bands and friendly locals create a lively vibe, though it can feel touristy and crowded. St. Kitts itself stuns with lush rainforests, Brimstone Hill Fortress, and dreamy beaches like Cockleshell Bay. A fun, sunny stop for cruisers.

Really great place for shopping. Lots of different stores and duty free. Make sure if you find an item you like a lot of stores have the same item and there can be a difference of anywhere from $25-$40 and also bargain with the vendors there’s always room. Sone great bars also.

Interesting place jewelery shops left and right everywhere you look. I guess it is because there is no tax.

Love, love Port Zante, so much to do. The night life is beautiful, good food, you just have to find it. Great location, the bars by the terminals are cool, the market near by too.

Beautiful area. I will have to say I only went in 2 stores and was followed I mean flat out followed around which made me leave both and not attempt another.
Angi H — Google review
Some shop are open a lot are not, at this time. All insist on wearing your mask. Some will take your temperature and use hand spray. The shops that are open are all good stores and their associates are working hard to keep them open. Unfortunately the museum is closed. All have high hopes for more opening in the future.

Great place, increases seating, clean enough bathrooms, water fountain with actual cold water, live music at times, the steel pans, clean, non smoking zone, welcoming entrance to St Kitts. Marsc level 1. But it's just the entrance... To St Kitts, get out there and say you've been to St Kitts.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Independence Square, formerly known as Pall Mall Square, is a compact park located in the eastern part of Basseterre near Newtown. It was renamed on September 19th, 1983 to commemorate the nation of St. Christopher and Nevis. The square has a 19th-century stone fountain, shaded benches, and paved footpaths for visitors to enjoy. Originally a pasture and later a slave market, it now stands as a historical landmark with well-preserved colonial architecture.
Indenpendence Square is not one of the most beautiful squares nor one of the most striking in the world, but for anyone passing through the port of Basseterre it is worth checking out, as it is just a few minutes walk away and shows a little of the real life of St. . Kitts, outside the port's tourist area. It is a very Caribbean square, which mixes African and British elements, it has its charm.
Lui — Google review
A very nice, quiet place with a beautiful, painted fountain in the center of the park. Some very old trees, and a variety of birds roaming around makes for a serene area.
Curtis S — Google review
Every port city needs a green space like this. Not even 5 min from the port district, a pretty fountain and old trees with benches in the shade. A few food stalls on the perimeter offer island eats. Te amo Basseterre.

Limited on games, yet up to date. Most of the staff there were very friendly. We had only one evening where the female bartender was exceptionally rude to my husband over a plastic cup…aside from that we had a good time in the casino.

Its an ok casino but the drinks are very limited. Always running out of drinks including water. Even the cheap wine they run out of stock on a regular basis. The option to buy a drink as a player is not offered at a discount. Some of the staff need customer service training but I just ignore them.

Horrible experience. I tried to use their ATM. Was told I needed a mask. Offered to pay for mask with credit card (because I had no cash, hence the need for the ATM). They said they would not run the credit card for such a small amount. I said if they would lend me the mask, I would pay cash after using the ATM. They said no. I said I would pay them cash and let them run my card - no. These people literally would not take my money so that I could get more money to pay their colleagues in the tourism field a tip. They said it wasn’t their problem - I’m quoting. This is a purported business establishment that won’t front a customer a $0.05 mask.
Patrick S — Google review
For all the cruisers...Horrible people work there with no manners & bad attitude. They obviously HATE tourists. Lots of machines but not so fun to play on, they seem to just take and not give which made it not enjoyable. At the cashier they dont pay out any cents that you have either and if you ask for your 60c you gonna get shot down.
Nos N — Google review
If it were not for it's easy accessibility I would never go there. The staff appears to be lazy and most of them are rude. Floor service is the worst. I've been there for hours without being asked if I wanted a drink. More often than not I have to leave a game to get a beverage. The bathrooms are often messy and one particular cleaning staff member was extremely rude so much so that I had to leave the casino to cool off. I did return a short time later and reported her to the manager in duty. The staff at Ma Pau could be the poster people for unprofessionalism.

The War Memorial, located in the heart of Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, stands as a poignant tribute to the brave servicemen and women who sacrificed their lives for freedom. This impressive cenotaph is not just a monument; it encapsulates the rich history of the islands while honoring those who served. Surrounded by well-maintained grounds, visitors can appreciate its geometric design and reflect on its significance. The memorial also features three tombs symbolizing St.
A nice memorial display not far from PCG.

A nice place to walk to from the Port. Recommended bringing some walking shoes as there is a beach close by where the cruise staff go to.
Wilson B — Google review
The War memorial is a Cenotaph in Basseterre the Capital of St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean. The brave Soldiers who paid the ultimate price for the freedom of the Then known World. The Monument itself is a well kept and maintained enclosed geometrically shaped area with the center piece if you will standing tall and quite outstanding. The Heroes and Heroines' name are all immortalized on a metal plaque (see photo), Other Heroes and Heroines who survived the war should be honored as well and their stories told. I happened on it during an early morning photo-walk of the area (stayed at Ocean Terrace Inn nearby), I really enjoyed the serenity and majesty of the structure and was moved by the gesture and homage paid to the war dead. On my way back being driven I noticed that it was at a strategically prominent location and was glad that I visited there earlier. The view of Port Zanté, The City Center, The surrounding areas and the nearby Sister Island of Nevis were quite rewarding and it gave me a sense that I was actually in St. Kitts.

St. Thomas Anglican Church is a historic site with interesting features, such as a tomb where a small mistake in spelling was found. Visitors can also explore nearby sugar mill ruins and enjoy traditional drinks like Ting. The surrounding forest offers the chance to see monkeys playing in their natural habitat, adding to the unique experience of visiting this church.
Only stopped roadside to view the oldest Anglican Church of the Caribbean. I love viewing these historical landmarks along my travels! The grounds were quite trashed in some areas unfortunately and it seems to be under renovation. We didn’t walk around, just pulled up to the front gate and put on our hazards allowing traffic to go around us. If you’re driving by, you might as well stop real quick!
Anna R — Google review
Sadly all closed up and possibly being renovated but I don't think so. Grounds are pretty week kept however and there is the grave of a certain US presidents forebearer under a small shelter. Grave stone is remarkably legible.
Phil M — Google review
We only stopped at the roadside to view this on our Island tour. We learned this was the oldest surviving Anglican church in the Caribbean. The original church was built around 1625, but it is now made out of stone. It was built by Captain Thomas Warner who established the colony in 1623. He is also buried here next to his friend Samuel Jefferson [who is said to be the great-great-great-grandfather of US President Thomas Jefferson]. In the photo of the church on the right, are 2 white structures with a roof. Those are the gravesites of those men.
