Built circa 1940 as the post office, the original facade featuring a motif of the Roman god of Mercury above the main door was lovingly brought back to life and honours Frankston’s history. The Deck features a modern rustic coastal interior and is now a fun, lively spot with great views and delightful staff! 🧼 Clean, modern and well kept facilities. ⏰ I’ve never had to wait particularly long for food to arrive and it’s always hot and fresh when it does. 🍽️ Dietary options for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores. 🌾 Gluten free options available. 📦 Provides a doggy bag for leftovers. 🪑Dining inside and on the covered deck upstairs available. 🥡 It’s not a takeaway spot, but as I said above, you can get your leftovers to go. 🤤 The chocolate brownie is utterly divine! Absolutely worth a visit!

Had a great time with the band playing and the night club upstairs. Plenty of toilets. Good security! Who check id and take photo to make sure of numbers which is great 👍. Had a blast !! Bar wasn't too expensive reasonable prices.🙂 lots of waiting staff keeping glasses 🥂 off tables and benches. No fights. Bands name was @mammajamband they were really good doing covers all night into early morning. Lots of dancing and singing 🤘🤘

We loved it there. The starters, dinner and drinks were good, for a pub. Even the vegetarians and vegans among us were easily full. The service was very courteous, friendly and fast. The location is beautiful. There was also live music.

Fantastic place to enjoy a great night out with the better half or to catch up with friends ! Thanks to Col and the Crew we enjoyed great cocktails, oysters and steak at surprisingly reasonable prices in an awesome atmosphere with the backdrop of acoustic live tunes. Parking is a sinch too. A Frankston Gem !

We were at the Deck in Frankson yesterday for my daughters 27th bday, there were about 30 of us with a few kids also. When I called to book, they answered first call and were very accommodating and helpful and gave options for payments and ordering and explained how it would work on the day. The venue has changed since I was there a few years ago and it looks amazing. The food was amazing and the service from start to finish was exceptional. There was a medical emergency with one of our family members there and the staff were so amazing and helpful and even messaged us afterwards to check in to see how the family member was doing. Highly recommend The Deck in Frankston and we'll definitely be back. Thank you for everything.

I have been here a while ago and i was recommended by a mate to try this restaurant again as it has new owners. I was there and saw a lady behind the counter, probably was in the midst of doing something. So i waited in front of her-waited to be seated. We had our seats and order our food. I ordered my meal- fisherman’s platters and ribs and wings for my son. I asked if the seafood is fresh, yes was her reply ( pretty much, i was telling her or implying to her, that i expected freshness in my seafood. In my order, it states that king prawns, scallops, fish and etc. i was disappointed when i was served. The prawns was not king prawns. They served me with smaller size prawns, the calamari rings were soft not fresh, the two mussels texture not fresh, the fried white baits fish…..overall the seafood was not fresh. My son’s meal- ribs and wings, is below average. I had a bite on the rib n chicken meat too. I wanted to raise it with the waiter but was stopped by my son as he doesn’t want to unwanted attentions . So i will juz drop in my views or feedbacks.

We were here for dinner and really enjoyed it. The meals were very yummy and there was plenty of food. You certainly dont go home hungry. Service was a little slow when it came to clearing the table but overall it was a good experience.

Food was great and arancini is to die for! Unfortunately we were seated by the entrance to the bathroom which was continually opened by customers and due to air pressure in the hall to bathroom (I believe shared by other businesses in the strip) didn't lose properly. The draught was freezing. Staff weren't that friendly either unfortunately- we showed up with no booking and the person didn't seem that impressed though it was quite early and relatively quiet.

Very bad as oysters are not natural but put in shells we leave behind. Chicken salopinie sauce is delicious but very very small servings because it's mostly vegetables. Staff or owners happy to take your money but not able to take your comments, they hungup on me. Better places to eat

The location is wonderful. Simply the best Frankston has to offer, in my humble opinion. A table on the balcony allows you to enjoy spectacular beach views, whilst enjoying a delicious meal. The meals were all very tasty, certainly good portion sizes. However the service is lacking. We seem to have lots of different wait staff serving our table. Meals came out erratically, this was especially annoying with the mains when it took an embarrassingly long time between the first 2 meals and the lamb roast. We would have bought more wine and coffee but were never offered a second bottle or coffees. Food though was delicious and views perfect.

Food was good, but nothing amazing to be fair. There wasn’t really a stand out dish. Ambience was wonderful, light and bright. Views of the bay. Would go again but probably just to sit on the terrace area overlooking the bay in summer to have a few cocktails. Service was great, very friendly staff.

Booked for lunch and decided to reserve an in door table unfortunately they put us right next to the door leading out onto the deck which continually open and closed with a terrible draft every time. Place was busy but not too noisy so we could still have a comfortable conversation. Great location directly on the beach with amazing views of the bay!! We are not local so choosing where to eat is tricky, but Waves did not disappoint. The inside was spacious and warm on a very cold, wet night & the staff were friendly & attentive throughout our dining experience. Our group of four chose a variety of small plate dishes to share, & a slow cooked lamb shank. The servings were generous & delicious! We would be happy to recommend Waves.

I came here with my friends for a campus event and it was great. The food was delicious with such a big portion that we couldn’t finish. The waitresses were so kindly helpful by assuring all the orders complete and assisted us with some foils to wrap our food home. On top of that, the cashier, the cook, and all staff were inclusively friendly.

Celebrating my 56th Birthday at Waves was nothing short but spectacular. The food was delicious and large sized not to mentioned perfectly prices in today's cost of living challenges. A special thanks to the Sisters' that look like 'Natalie Portman'. Their table service was impeccable. Lovely winter beach views when the sun hit our table. We'll be back!

We went there for lunch as seeing a show at the Art centre. Food was great we all enjoyed our meal. The waitress that served us was lovely and very helpful. We will be back next time down that way.

So far recently, have only eaten in the sports bar, $22 pot and Parma and it is delicious. Definitely recommend, 10/10 for food and service. Looking forward to checking out the bistro at another time.

Chicken Kiev ordered via Uber eats wa raw inside. Unfortunately, only noticed when I had finished most of it. At least it was cheap compared to other uber eats restaurants The other food I ordered was fine (Garlic bread and dessert), and never ordered from grand hotel previously, so could just be a once off (but definitely keep this in mind )

Food Items I chose were okay. I had a Chicken 🐔 and Prawn Fried Rice meal. Unfortunately that particular night 🌙 my group attending had to wait ✋️ around 3 hours for their meal service. Not sure if this place has takeaway 🤔 or not. Not shading The Grand Hotel itself, but was really amazed the length of time the food took to arrive. Staff get a gold ✨️ 💛 star 🌟 for Customer service.

We went here tonight as they have 50% off certain meals on weekdays at the moment. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and renovated the place was (for some reason I had thought it was a dive) the staff were friendly and the service was excellent. The food was great, as good as any pub fare. Much better experience than my local pub, we will be back!

A regular place for dinner before seeing a show at the Frankston Art Centre. Very convenient. Service was quick, food was tasty and reasonably priced. Always good value.😊

Lovely service staff and pretty good food. Nothing fancy, but good pub grub and you gotta love their 2 for 1 deal. My flat head tails were really nice but the chips were heavy. My partner's green curry seafood stir fry was delicious and very generous. Certainly worth a try and amazing value.

Came here for birthday dinner, had the king Parma on parma night, the food was amazing, couldn't finish it all. Atmosphere was great, we ordered by QR code on the table and meals didn't take long to arrive. The only downside was toliets needed a pass and located outside restaurant, otherwise recommend to anyone.

Ate here recently. The service wasn't great. People that arrived after us got served long before us. They forgot to bring us water. So we had to walk up and get a bottle ourselves. The serving sizes are large and the prices fair. The food was pretty decent pub style food. The fact that they did not have horseradish or mustard for a steakhouse was unheard of. They also had no dessert.

Great fresh delicious food, great service, and a really nice vibe. Serving size is very generous Iron River Bar & Grill never disappoints! Definitely one of my favourite places to go!

Great food! Hamburger was spot on and the steaks were amazing👌 Service was fab, they are really attentive and on the ball. Good variety of drinks as well. It did get quite loud, but it was peak dinner time on a Friday night so you have to expect that. I think if you want a quiet dinner, you might need to go a bit earlier.. that didn't put us off or detract from the night though, for us😊 We will be paying them another visit very soon!

I knew I should have gone with my judgement and not come.. Service was terrible. Had to call staff to be served. Staff were very young and very inexperienced and couldn't advise what was on the menu when asked.. Parma was average. Steak was too salty and couldn't finish it, Coleslaw was soggy and uneddable.. The reviews aren't a good reflection of the facts I'd say.. When you charge this kind of cash for a meal it needs to be much better than this.

Lovely Hotel, short walk from Pier at Frankston foreshore, inside and outside seating. Food was nice but bar was under staffed only one lady welcoming and seating people, getting drinks and taking food orders luckily we got in before the lunch rush. Would be a great venue for a special event, wheelchair friendly except getting to the outside area has a few stairs.

Went for dinner with a few mates on Wednesday. We had to wait 1hr for our food. All of our meals came out at the same time and they all seemed to be decent quality, but my steak was comfortably the worst steak I’ve ever had, well and truely overcooked and a terrible cut of meat (It was the most expensive steak on the menu also) I straight away had to say something to the bar staff which they were very good about helping me with, however the next steak that came out was just as bad, only slightly better due to it being a better cut of meat. I don’t like complaining at any venue even once, and twice in one sitting I couldn’t bring myself to do. The Quality of their food has seemed to decline in the past 6 months unless I’ve just gotten unlucky? Not sure.. but my free bottle of coke for the hassle doesn’t cut it if I’m honest. The photos attached are the second steak I received, “medium rare” the photos don’t really do it justice, It was very dry. And the first steak only had grill lines going in one direction which is a rookie error, the sear is the best part! I’ve had some great meals here in the past, this was just an all time blunder

Every time we’ve been there for a fantastic meal, the staff have been outstanding with customer service, but tonight was over and above. We booked for my partners birthday. Meals and drinks for 3. Beth made sure my partner had a complimentary birthday drink, what a legend, then when I made a query as we had a little delay on meals ( to be a little expected as the place was full ) , she went over and above to make sure we were looked after. That makes a patron feel more than just another punter, but more a welcomed and respected guest. Well done to all the staff that served us on table 5 . Made my partners birthday very special, memorable and we look forward to our next visit . Thank you .

I’ve been going regularly every Monday and friday for lunch with my husband as my mum is in a nursing home near by. We even take mum there for lunch too. She enjoys eating there too. The service is excellent, the food is delicious and very good prices. You don’t have to wait long for your order. We feel like part of the family. Kylie who works there and who is there when we go for our meals, always makes us feel welcome and as part of the family, as she is very friendly and takes care of ours needs. The toilets are also very clean and there is a ramp for those with disabilities. There are great views while we eat our meal as through the large windows we can see the bay in the distance and the park land. Excellent place to eat and relax.

Went on a Saturday night at 7:30 - booked a table for 10 in advance in the bistro. Atmosphere was really good, but loud. Lots of people still out with their families eating, we were out to celebrate with friends. Bar staff were great and wait staff were quick and didn't rush us. Would definitely go again.

We literally waited for almost an hour for the food and we wanted to cancel some 🥲 Normally, they open the grill if you order 2 meats (as mentioned on the menu) we only ordered one and expected it to be grilled. Since it was so busy that day, they just gave it to us and opened the grill. Some of the staff were friendly. Some of the staff forgot to give us the side dish. Overall, the service could have been better. The tempura, the starter came last.

It was our first time eating at Geonbae Restaurant and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. The service was fantastic and staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the set menu had a great variety of dishes. We will definitely be back :)

Good Korean barbecue option in a bit of a hidden spot (make sure to go up on the balcony) the sets were solid value and a lot of food, just be sure of your choice as the limits on choices are no matter the size of the set.

Geonbae was such an amazing experience from start to finish! The staff were super kind and helpful, and the restaurant had a really cool and relaxed vibe. We tried a variety of meats and everything was so tasty and high quality. It was so much fun grilling the food right at the table — definitely a unique and interactive way to enjoy dinner. The spicy pork and wagyu beef were absolutely delicious! All the side dishes were fresh and flavorful, and the portions were generous. The drinks menu was also great — we had a couple of cocktails that paired perfectly with the food. Perfect spot for a night out with friends or even a cute date. We’re already planning our next visit! 💖🍲🇰🇷

How disappointing, we where looking forward to a great meal. Bombay mushrooms stunk.,.they where off. Marli chicken served cold straight from the fridge. Where was the fresh food. No naan arrived. We walked out. I have to give a rating to post, don't want to give a rating.

Very disappointing. We use to love this restaurant, last night our substandard microwave meals arrived . Guys go to your old sister restaurant shavahns and get some lessons on how food is done. We definitely wont be back.

I’ve been impressed every time I’ve ordered from Kasturi, whether dining in, getting takeaway, or delivery. The food is always fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. I absolutely love kasturi indian it's always super fresh and has so much flavour, and it's very affordable and you get alot for how much you spend, I get the family pack and swap the Rogan Josh for lamb korma and it's a weekly thing for me and my partner and not only do we have an amazing dinner but always have left overs

My wife and I went here for a friends birthday. We had the mushrooms from the tandoor, they arrived sizzling and fragrant and were delicious. The garlic naan was plentiful and delicious. The Aloo Gobi was very tasty and we couldn't eat all the basmati rice. We had a coke each and were amazed that the cost for us was only $54! No problem splitting the bill either. The waitresses were friendly and the service was very fast. I thought that it was a great experience.

Super speedy delivery and the food was delicious as per usual. We ordered the butter chicken with chicken breast, beef korma, pappadams and cheesy garlic naan. Very generous servings.

Excellent, excellent, excellent cafe and food! I don’t live anywhere near here, but I’m already keen to come back. The food is absolutely amazing—so delicious—and the service came with a genuine smile. One tiny note: there’s only one bathroom but honestly, that’s nothing to complain about. I noticed there were more rooms than the one I was took pictures of, but I didn’t want to intrude since other families and groups were enjoying their breakfast. That’s another big plus—this place is perfect for groups to enjoy a meal together. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Definitely coming back.

Great! I had the SUPERB carrot cake. Homemade and fruity, luscious. Great coffee. The sandwiches and other cakes look standard but ok. Nice veggie vegan bowl on offer. Other hot dishes. A surprise given it’s in Frankston CBD, all the surrounding development continues apace. Hopefully it won’t be the only lovely place to go within a year or so, but if you’re stuck with Frankston for now, and don’t want to oak in the central part, free parking here. Couldn’t do better regarding the garden cafe.

This unique, friendly cafe has only improved over time since its first opening. We have been frequent customers, tried most items on the menu and loved it!. The coffees are up there with the best we’ve had too. The service is always outstanding, even in their busiest times. The vibe with both the period style cottage venue and the solo live musician only adds a further ‘ icing on the cake’. This review was long overdue … keep up the great work # 1 pair Tree!

This is a beautiful dog-friendly cafe nestled under lovely old trees. Feels like a garden party. I have had some great lunches here. Today I was really disappointed with the sweet chilli scramble. The egges were sweet from sweet chilli sauce - yuk. There was more sauce all over the plate. My fellow diner had the chilli crab which was also swimming in sweet chilli mayo.

My first visit at The Nature Cafe Bar and I am impressed with friendly staffs with smiling service. Great coffee and delicious Nutella slice. Probably try their food on next visit . Noted most dishes on breakfast menu are vegetarian and lunch menu starts at 11am. Definitely come back and highly recommended 👍

Been coming to Nature Cafe since they opened and it’s been such a wonderful addition to the south east! Bobby and Amrita run an amazing family business and are absolutely incredible people with great integrity and morals. They really showed their character during the lockdowns and kept everything running beautifully. The food is always delicious and crafted by a single chef in the kitchen who’s constantly updating and changing the menu to keep things interesting. My partner and I have been regulars for years now and genuinely look forward to every visit. The big portions and great service make it even better. In times when cafes and restaurants are really struggling, it’s so good to still have Nature Cafe around consistently delivering excellent food and service. Such a gem to have in our area!

Got a takeaway coffee from here this morning. The service from the young girl working yesterday was exceptional. This morning, the complete opposite from the older woman working the out front. No good morning, no confirmation of my coffee order until asked, slammed the eftpos machine on the counter top, no smile. 10th time here for coffee and breakfast. Won’t be going back. THANK YOU CHARMIAM for the most amazing customer service. From the very first second we set foot into Flourish, we were greeted by this bubbly and friendly Charmiam who took great care of us. Shes even a natural at upselling! Even at the end when we needed takeaway boxes for our leftovers she was on break and just saw us come in with our plates and ran to our rescue. I am a support worker, and my client enjoys going out for coffees and brunch. But we find that a lot of cafes lack on customer service where my client ends up getting anxious and wants to leave halfway. But being at Flourish yesterday was a highlight for my client she thoroughly enjoyed it and we have the lovely Charmiam to thank for that. She went above and beyond for us. So now I have added Flourish to my clients fav cafe list we will definitely be back!!! The savoury muffins were absolutely divine!!! I had mine with salad and my client had hers with chips. She also had a jelly cake which she also enjoyed on our long drive back home. Beautiful hidden local gem! If you’re in the area, be sure to check it out. Has many seatings available outside such gorgeous setting!

Great little café for the locals of Frankston South. The coffee is fantastic and has a variety of breakfast dishes to choose from. The big breakfast is certainly all you could ask for! What a delightful surprise. I knew about this place since it featured on Postcards, and put it on the to-do list for a Sunday drive. We followed the GPS to a suburban pocket of shops and arrived at a busy hub of cafe activity. People chatting, dogs wagging their tails, and the coffee aroma - it was great. I highly recommend checking out Mr Frankies. Coffee and croissants were delicious 😊

Flavoursome warming brunch and a refined casual hangout. Thoroughly enjoyed the shakshuka - the tomato capsicum had a lovely depth of flavour; warming and absolutely delicious. The chorizo was excellent quality meat and spice : definitely above the usual kind, a really excellent addition to the dish. The French toast also was a hit. The staff were helpful and the service was quick. Such a nice relaxed space and I'm excited to visit again with friends.

Food and drinks were great, however after ordering we waited for about 35 minutes on a quiet tuesday. Turns out they forgot about our order but we got it shortly after that. Not a huge inconvenience, however we were offered no compensation for waiting. Other customers sat down and had their meals within roughly 10 minutes. Again the food was great, but would have appreciated some sort of compensation for having to wait so long. Still definitely reccomend eating here.

I was really excited to try Mr Frankie. I liked the fact that it’s located in a quieter part of Frankston South in a strip of random shops. The place itself is quite beautiful in terms of decor and you can have the option to sit inside or outside. The service was good, the food, however, was a different story. Very expensive for what you receive. Very small portions, when paying $25+ for a tofu salad, I’d be expecting something somewhat substantial. Paid $75+ for 2 hot chocolates, a burger meal and a salad and left hungry not even one bit satisfied. Understand it’s Frankston South but yeh, nah, really disappointed and would not return in any hurry. Plenty of other options out there.

Friendly staff. Good selection on the menu. We had the calamari, and although not large servings, the calamari and salad was delicious. Good coffee. We also had a slice each, which was like home made..very yummy. Nice outlook onto a small park with a pond. Easy to park at rear and easy access.

This is a lovely little cafe we have been coming to of late. The food is fantastic - the burgers and steak sandwich are a generous size but the other meals can be smallish and a bit expensive so value for money is mixed depending what you order. The steak needed seasoning and not sure it was scotch but it was tender. If you’re not super hungry you could split the burger or steak sandwich. As someone else mentioned the burger takes some getting through but it’s delicious. The coffee is great and service is speedy but as others have said, the staff are a bit rude (sorry!) and despite the sign saying there is table service, there isn’t. I do find it a little pricey for a local cafe - options are in the $25-30 range, and would love some more options in the under $20 range such as toasties or focaccias for lunch. They do have some in the window but they are pre wrapped and limited in range. For my son and I to have the burger, steak sandwich and coffees it was about $80. Try to get an indoor seat away from the door on cold days :)

I was so amazed by the taste, quality & food presentation I asked to meet the Chef. A young woman named Ely 😋 I complimented her profusely & waved to her as I was leaving this venue. I was a regular patron of this venue. Today I arrived to be told Ely had moved to another Cafe/Restaurant 😥 Very disappointed that the staff couldn't tell me where she was now working 😕 Such at a loss. Hoping to find & patronise her new workplace as she brought flair to this Cafe which no other Chef ever has... Their standard menu previously lacked the flavour & finesse this woman created. No longer shall I eat here as the other Chefs are very ordinary & have possibly been serving the same boring menu for the past 6 years...

Stopped here en route to Mulberry House. Inside seating plentiful but noisy. Dining within view of lake ducks was novel. Prompt table service. Food well presented and seasoned. Steak Sanger very fresh, albeit a tad rare. Risotto loaded with fresh mushrooms. A hidden gem worth the detour.

Beautiful brunch place! We had the calamari salad, BLT and a cappuccino. We asked for the music to be turned down which made it hard to talk, but the staff was great and quickly turned it down a little. Will be going again~

First time here went for breakfast at 9:30 am, There was a line to the counter and a few empty tables inside that all had plates from previous customers. I figured they were understaffed and decided to clear a table, take the plates up to the counter and set my family up, high chair ect. Asked a staff member for a menu and i was told “you supposed to go to the counter and ask to be seated, then you will get a menu” Staff member was obviously in a mood by her tone and the look on her face. If there was a sign at the entrance instead of at the counter, i would be ok with that. What i would love is a staff member to be greeting us and seating us as we walk in the door because thats the service we received when going to another cafe once we left because it was just a bad vibe. All other staff looked friendly, i think we just got unlucky but we wont be back.

Just two visits so far to Mr Frank’s Café. The captivating views took my mind off what I was eating on both occasions - fruit toast yesterday and today and porridge, also today. It is possible to sit away from the view, but why I wasn’t inclined to do that.

Good -there is a fantastic view overlooking the harbour Bad - they didn't clear the tables, for our inter time there we were sitting amongst dirty dishes Good - the food was brilliant and presented beautifully Bad - since there is no kitchen they have make the food one at a time Good - if a mistake was made they fixed is quickly and without fuss Bad - they used IKEA kids plastic cups Good - they had booths for groups to use

I wish I took a picture of our breakfast as it would have been very obvious for everyone why I am writing this review. First of all, place was absolutely empty, yet at least 5 tables weren't cleared and still dirty. We had the chilly scramble and smashed avocado with extra eggs and extra bacon. We paid 6 dollar for extra bacon and extra eggs each and got not even half a bacon slice and 1 scrambled egg. The eggs were white and watery as well as for me as for my partners chilli scramble. They also forgot them at first and we had to ask, even though we were literally the only customers and this the only order. Portions in general were super small (1 tiny piece of toast), tasteless (watery egg) and the avocado was unripe. And we paid over 60 dollars. The place is not made to cook breakfast there is no kitchen and I'm sure the 2 ladies working there are not chefs. It's a rip off. The only nice thing was the view.

Really disappointed I went out today for breakfast as a treat from a hard night with the baby and I ordered the “eggs your way” and unfortunately it was really disappointing. The scrambled eggs came out more like an omelette, and even though I paid extra for bacon I only got one small piece chopped up into pieces. The dish also came with withered tomatoes on a bed of lettuce that weren’t listed on the menu, which just made the bread soggy. The only positive was that the coffee was actually quite good.

Absolutely loved my visit here! The vibe is super chill, with a stunning view that makes it a perfect spot to slow down and enjoy your morning. I had the smashed avocado with fried eggs ..the eggs were cooked just right with those crispy edges, and the avo was fresh and nicely seasoned on perfectly toasted bread. Simple, but done really well. My partner went for the brekkie roll and was raving about it ..loaded with bacon, egg, cheese, and just the right amount of sauce. It hit the spot without being too heavy. Service was warm and friendly from the moment we walked in. You can tell the staff genuinely care about what they do and are happy to make small adjustments if you ask. Overall, a great little café with good food, lovely staff, and a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back for another round!

Kwality might be spelt with a KW in their name, but it's definitely top quality indian food! For the price, I don't think you can do much better in Frankston. We tried the Samosas that tastes very fresh and were huge!A great entree for sure. The woodland mushrooms was interesting. Essentially mushrooms with tandoori paste. Not sure that will be to everyone's taste. Now, the star of the show: the Butter chicken! While a bit sweet for my tastes, it had to be the creamiest richest butter chicken I've ever tasted. Paired with fresh garlic naan and it was delicious! The interior of the restaurant was a bit dated, but given it was Saturday night and it was practically empty, is be going there in a heart beat knowing there were no lines!

Every dish I've tried has been good. Tasty, lots of flavour and authentic. My go-to place for takeaway/delivery in the area. I would not eat in the restaurant as there's usually no one in there and the carpet has a moldy smell. Replace the carpet with wood or wood effect vinyl and the place would have much more success for dining in. People don't eat in because of the carpet odour. It's a great nepean highway location and good food, they are losing business because it's musty, moldy and dark in the dining room.

Best customer service! They REALLY care about customer's satisfaction! Free papadums and dips as much as you want! Fair prices- good food. My favorite dish is WOODLAND MUSHROOMS. I go Kwality once a week!!!

Ordered Lamb rogan josh and they served me beef- not good enough! Butter chicken was average, not horrible, not amazing. Once ordered, pick up time said 1.5hrs even though Menulog was showing 30mins. Had to call to confirm, which is annoying as it almost defeats the purpose of ordering online. Decor is way outdated and sad.. Needs immediate basic renos. First warning sign was when I entered to pickup my order the restaurant was dead empty. Not a single person in there on a Friday night compared to the neighbour restaurants which were busy. I instinctively wanted to walk out but I also wanted to follow through with my order as it's the right thing to do. Initially short changed $10 even though they used a calculator- had to question it and have them calculate again. To be fair, the girl was young and polite- no issue with service attitude. Needs a serious overhaul to compete and earn local business

Absolutely the worst Indian food I've ever had. Edible but nothing more. I tried this restaurant after Kastruri were slightly difficult but there's no comparison. Very disappointing experience.

Kimberley our hostess for the afternoon was an absolute gem who made our bottomless drunch effortless for our staff work Christmas party!!!! For pre made cocktails they were outstanding and the grapefruit spritz ended a great afternoon of trying all the cocktails... I believe there was salad with our food but the pizzas were divine. We can't wait to come back and support local!!! Thank you for putting up with the loud crazy bunch letting there hair down after such a busy year at work!!! 💜

Wow! Stunning. Went to an event recently and was blown away. Most of the time, I miss out when its a sit down alternating meal. But I LOVED every moment. From arriving and them having Gluten Free bread, to the dessert that was so yummy, I ate it all. Very Impressed. The atmosphere too, Upstairs was so beautiful 😍 Ill be back to try their regular menu but as far as a private function it was an outstanding space.

Went to Hotel Lona on Tuesday for my birthday. Sad that we have waited 2 years to try it. The service was amazing as were our meals. I had the slow cooked beef cheek which was delicious and my partner had the steak which he loved. It was very quiet which was upsetting as they deserve more customers. Will definitely come again.

Our night was brilliant, the service really stood out. Kimberly is the waitress you want, every time you dine out, anywhere! She is friendly and attentive, with a lovely soul. You can tell she has a passion for hospitality which is hard to find in good wait staff these days. Thank you so much for making our night. Great atmosphere and menu.

My wife had booked a table downstairs for us and some friends next to the open fireplace for a Saturday night. We received confirmation midweek. All was arranged. When we got there several people were seated where we expected to be. A waitress quickly appeared and told us a private function was taking place. Ignoring our reservation and guiding us hurriedly upstairs. We reluctantly followed her but she quickly disappeared before we could say another word. We would have accepted it. However the music blaring out of the speaker system would have deafened a rock group!! So we left and went to the Grand Hotel. Although they were busy they managed to find seating for us. Good service, good food and decent location. Very disappointed with the Lona. It's a drinking hole and represents one of the worst experiences we have had. Avoid this venue. Sadly they do not value customers.

We had lunch as Lona on Sunday, in the dining room. The venue was not busy, and we had excellent service with attentive waiters. The food was fresh and delicious, and not overpriced. Will definitely be back!

The service was very good. The food arrived quickly and well presented. It looked good, but only tasted ok. The nachos lacked something. I had soft and hard tacos. They tasted washed out.

Friendly and fast service. The food was well prepared and tasty. The pork tacos were my favourite. The loaded fries were not overcooked and were a good size. The topping was tasty. The burrito was eaten in record time. For us, the food was under spiced, so next time we will amp up the chilli factor.

My partner and I come here almost weekly and always enjoy our time here, we both usually order tacos or burritos and they nail them everytime so tasty and easy to eat, the staff there are amazing too all the girls are very attentive and always have a smile on their face, alcohol is amazing also !! The watermelon shaken margarita is delicious and beer selection is great also, we will never eat any other Mexican food again 🩷🌮🌯

The food was really good but the burritos are like 80% meat and 20% other things. the service was quite bad for my family and I as we had to ask multiple times for multiple items and would get a rude attitude when asking again. the atmosphere was overall pretty good except for the servers paying very less attention to certain tables focusing completely on bigger parties

Staff were wonderful! It was my girlfriend’s birthday and both girls that came to the table said happy birthday! The cocktails were delicious and well presented! Food was super tasty! I will definitely go back! I was surprised to see so many people out dining on a Monday night!

I want to commend Shae on her outstanding service. We arrived at the restaurant only to discover we had made our reservation at Williamstown instead of Karingal. The restaurant was fully booked inside but Shae offered us a table outside with the promise to seat us inside as soon as she could. The outside table was perfect with the heaters keeping us warm. Shae did come back to say she could accommodate us inside but we were happy to stay where we were. Thank you Shae for rescuing our evening. Your positivity and can do attitude was refreshing and appreciated. The food was scrumptious too!

Extremely Disappointing – Worst Char Kway Teow I’ve Ever Had I came in with high expectations—hungry after the gym next door, and lured by strong online reviews. Char Kway Teow is one of my favorite dishes; I’ve had it hundreds of times across Melbourne and internationally. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst version I’ve ever had. From the first bite, it was clear something was off. A scallop had a funky, off-putting taste—I had to spit it out. The squid was extremely chewy and stringy, clearly a low-quality frozen variety. Mussels came in two distinctly different colors (see photos), which was alarming, and I didn’t risk trying them. The tofu was flavorless and rubbery, while the prawns were rare but passable. I ended up leaving all the seafood behind on the plate. I drowned the noodles in 10 spoons of chili trying to salvage some flavor, but it didn’t help. There was no fresh chili, no wok hei, and no real flavor—just an oddly sweet taste like the chef didn’t care. To make matters worse, the noodles were wrong too—thin instead of the traditional flat rice noodles used in proper Char Kway Teow. I left three-quarters of my meal behind. No one asked how my meal was. The restaurant was nearly empty, which in hindsight, makes sense. I rarely leave reviews like this, but this was genuinely disappointing. I don’t understand the high ratings—it was a complete miss. I’d rather pay a little extra for some better quality seafood and better cooking techniques. Why ask to reach out? The review was fair.

The food was amazing! It was fantastic to eat freely at the restaurant without having to mention any allergens. I’ve haven’t had bao since being gluten free, so it was extremely exciting to find it on the menu! Although it wasn’t as fluffy as normal bao, it was very yummy nevertheless. The pho was very tasty and so filling! I felt set for the day! Also the Vietnamese coffee was great and the staff were nice.

Food was pretty good . Entree or starters came out very quick , mains took a bit longer and one was forgotten hence the 4 stars . Service was also good and attentive . Thank you .

I ordered takeaway from Le Feu Frankston before 5 pm for the 40 % discount. I ordered the Wagyu Beef Bone Marrow Pho ($24.90). The Vietnamese female cashier told me $15, and I had some doubt because my quick calculation didn’t seem to match. I asked her, “$15?” and she nodded yes. I still handed her a $20 note, and she gave me a $5 note back. She didn’t give me a receipt until I asked. When I checked it at the table, the total was $14.95, not $15. I hesitated whether to ask her, since it was only 5 cents, but I remembered she had confidently confirmed $15, so I went back to ask her. When I asked, “The receipt shows $14.95 — why did you charge $15?” she acted as if it were a mistake, gave me 10 cents, and did not apologize. I asked if they didn’t have 5-cent coins; she didn't give me a clear response, so I took a 5-cent coin from my purse and handed it to her. The manager then spoke to her in Vietnamese, probably telling her to be careful. I want to point this out because I believe it was not a careless mistake or a shortage of coins. She had not even opened the till when she told me $15, so she couldn’t have known whether there were any 5-cent coins inside. Also, the menu clearly states there is a 1.5 % surcharge for EFTPOS, not for cash, so there was no reason to round the total $14.95 up to $15. Even with a card surcharge, the amount would be $15.17, not $15. It’s not about 5 cents — it’s about honesty. If I had wanted to leave a tip, that would have been different. And to prevent excuses: this has nothing to do with being new, careless, or inexperienced — even a primary-school student can see that $14.95 and $15 are not the same. Lesson learned: always ask for a receipt, especially when paying cash, to protect yourself from being quietly overcharged.

Ohhhh my goodness these guys have treated us like royals! I am so annoying to feed with an onion allergy and they really checked and made me the most delicious pork! These young staff went absolutely above and beyond! I hope their boss appreciates them! Shout out to Kieren the chef, omg yum. Steph for her warm greeting to two very dirty old people(moved house). And Lilly for charging my phone and excellent service.

First time trying Frankston Brewhouse and it was amazing. The food from chef Kieran was incredibly delicious, and beautifully presented, particularly the chicken bao buns. The wait staff (particularly the gent with the glasses and bun) were also great. We will be back soon!

Amazing amazing food. As a gluten free vegetarian it’s hard to find good food- man oh man did Damian deliver. The tofu sliders will live rent free in my mind this week until I can come back next week. My husband had the calamari and he said they were amazing and succulent. We were both raving at the food. Damien you exceeded our expectations tonight and we will be back next week! And probably the week after too!!! Lily was flooded with customers but her sweet smile and attentiveness made you wait with a smile on your face. When ordering the tasting paddle she was so lovely in helping us make the right choices. Ajax was lovely to talk to and was full of praise of his team mates. I watched him help anyone in need. Drifted between customers with a smile on his face. The Apple cider and beers here were amazing. So fruity and delicious The vibes, food and drinks are on point here!!!!

Simply a 5/5 for food, service and atmosphere. On a very busy Mother’s Day lunch, Damian and Kieran delivered the goods. Food was succulent (this calamari guys.. best I’ve ever had), bar staff was incredibly attentive on every details and so quick to serve. So happy with our experience at Frankston Brewhouse, we’ll come again. Thanks for having us :)

Its not very often I will leave a 5 star review but WOWZA! Your pizza has now hit our #1 Fav pizza we have ever had! The base was perfectly cooked light, and crunchy. The Lasagne was delishous as were the chips and Salad. My son loved the chicken parma. Thick and cruncy. Everyone was left satisfied. The manager seated us, was absolutely lovely! Engaged with conversation, was very on the ball, he even came and checked we were happy with our food. If you havent been, I highly recommend going. Great atmosphere, amazing service from the manager and the BEST pizza and pasta you will ever eat! Also they have a selection of Deli goods you can purchase! Thankyou guys and welldone. We will be back!

Felt like comfort food and decided to try the lasagna instead of the usual pizza and pasta which I love. Took a while before the food came but when the lasagna was served - we were so delighted and pleased. Understand good yummy food cannot be rushed. I’ve not had lasagna served this way where you see the layers and it did not just look appetising .. it was super delicious! I will be back. I’m so glad we have a great Italian restaurant local to us and will definitely be bringing more friends there. Great ambience too. Thank you all.

We had an early dinner before a movie , very nice pizza, the quality of the toppings was excellent however a good third of the pizza had no salami on it. The people making the pizza need to take more care in preparing it

Best Italian pizza on the Mornington Peninsula. High quality ingredients. Delicious and tasty. Highly recommend the Boscaiola it’s a family favourite! Visited for a family catchup, and they can accomodate large groups 10+ppl. If you live locally and don’t know about this place you are missing out! Highly recommend a visit!

What a lovely experience, we were greeted warmly by the owner for a chat once seated. We ordered pizzas, which had a beautiful thin base. We will definitely being coming back.

The food was delicious however my mother got given a garlic pizza instead of a four cheeses pizza. I had the red pesto bacon pasta which was amazing, and my sister had a mozzarella pizza which she almost refused to share. The atmosphere was really cute and colourful. Our server Eve was fantastic. She was really friendly and easy to talk to, but also super professional at the same time. She made us feel welcome and looked after, and her positive attitude really stood out which honestly made the whole meal so much more enjoyable!!

Came for a late lunch and thought I’d try their panini (sandwiches) made in a roll of fresh pizza dough. Tried the Mortadella panino and Cotoletta (schnitzel). Both equally delicious and definitely hit the spot, I will need to come back to try the rest of the range. Well done Chefs 🤝🙌 Super Yum 🤤

Truly authentic Sri Lankan dishes made with top quality ingredients. They have a great range of wines, beers and cocktails, as well as a Cafe menu. Service is super friendly and very fast. Definitely worth a detour.

Delicious warm comfort food. Refreshing to eat with lots of unique flavours. The string hoppers were delicious by themselves as well as with the dishes. We enjoyed a vegetarian banquet which was good value and lots of variety The service was friendly and helpful with describing the dishes. They were genuinely nice !

This is the biggest hidden gem in Frankston. The most unsuspecting location, with the most sensational food. The staff so friendly, attentive and happy. Honestly can’t believe I’ve only just found out about this place.

A hidden gem in Frankston located in some industrial units near Kananook Station. Inside is both homely and authentic with the service very friendly. We had the all you can eat buffet lunch and it was sensational. Fresh egg pancake, popadoms, raita and salads (coconut sambal, yum!) to go with a selection of six curries (3 veg, 3 meat). The beef curry, the prawn curry and the deviled chicken were all phenomenal with the Dahl and creamy potato curries also hitting the spot. All washed down with a cold Lion beer. Just perfect for $25. Highly recommended

We have been meaning to visit this little place for so long now. The food was lovely, I wasn’t quite sure what main I ended up with but it was tasty and vegetarian. They seemed very conscious of dietary requirements and came back out to check I was ok with nuts. The lady who served us was gorgeous, such a lovely warm soul. Wednesday evenings they have an all you can eat smorgasbord for $30 and apparently it gets booked out. The restaurant is on Skye Rd but the other side of the freeway closer to the new updated intersection ,turn on your maps and you will see what I mean . Thanks again for the lovely, served with a lovely smile.

By far my favourite coffee van, it's my happy place when I need a break to wonder the beach front. Nice strong coffee and there brown sugar cookies are my favourite cookies ever!

Little Olly's has been the saving grace for many locals over the course of 2020-2021. A pillar of the caffeine community and place for many to catch up. The coffee is great, and always served with a smile. The wait can be on the longer side due to the popularity, but always worth the wait.

Cute little coffee van stop. Unfortunately coffee was really weak & just tasted like a cup of creamy warm milk. Baby chino was just cold milk (not frothy) with a marshmallow - definitely not what a baby chino should be! Overall was disappointed. Was expecting it to be really good coffee considering the community rallied for them to stay when council didn't want to renew their permit. Also no food/snacks available to order with coffees.

This is a little beach gem for the local community! Great coffee and such a nice atmosphere. It’s been only a few weeks , and staff remembered my name. Impressive (!) given how busy they get in the mornings! Often a small huddle of people in mornings waiting leisurely for their coffee /snack order and it’s a pleasant wait as you soak in the bay vibe and salt air right across the beach. What more can you ask for to start your day. Lovely staff and service and good coffee. So glad to have you in South Frankston! Xx

Would not return here. Customer service was terrible and there were no waitresses to be seen to assist with ordering or any drinks. On a night where there were approximately 6 tables seated, we had to approach the staff to order drinks. Chicken caesar salad had an odd fishy taste which indicated lack of freshness, however upon approaching the counter again, the manager insisted the chicken was fresh that day, offering to show me the delivery confirmation. A lamb salad came as a replacement and despite the meat being much better, the lettuce was drowned in oil and no dressing or feta cheese, as indicated on the menu. It was essentially inedible apart from the he few pieces if meat and tomato. Whilst the pasta that some on our table had was nice, the calamari was a small size for the price.

Slow service and cold food. Never again. Although a waiter took our drinks order straight away, it was another 20 minutes before someone took our food order. There were maybe 4 other tables occupied when we got here so its not like they were overly busy. 40 minutes later and our food finally arrived - parmas, caesar salad, bruscetta (meant to be a starter) and "gourmet" pizza. The parmas were cold, the Caesar inedible and their idea of a gourmet pizza was a burnt floury offering. At no point did a waiter come by to see if we wanted to order more drinks. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all costs..

Don't go here!! Loved waiting close to 80 minutes for a steak and pasta that never arrived, Was told about 40 minutes after waiting it would only be another 5 minutes, well that was a joke they obviously never started cooking the food because you could have easily whipped that up in the other 40 minutes we gave them. If you like wasting time for food that is probably as poor as the service well enjoy!!

I decided take my partner here for dinner for our 5th year anniversary. We arrived here and took us nearly 10 minitus just to be seated, we finally was seen and taken to our seats. While we were waiting for them to come take our order we saw 10 other customers send their food back to the chef. So we just decided to order pasta because Who could stuff that up. The portions of our pasta wouldn't Evan feed a mouse. Asked the waiter if this was the entree and he said it was the main and showed us the entree size. We couldn't believe the size of the entree Would not recommend this place to anyone unless your happy paying overpriced for a snack. Sure my partner would of been more happy taking her to Subway down stairs for our anniversary.

The service. 50 minutes after ordering . . . . Nothing. Our order was lost. We had to enquire about our lost order as well, the waiter didn't even notice something a miss. In a packed to the rafters restaurant I can understand orders being lost and staff not noticing people sitting there for nearly an hour, but in a place with 3 couples and one 6 people gathering, . . . . . uh no. It's actually the first place I have been to that has lost an order. If the staff can't control a non packed restaurant, then how on earth can I trust them to control a kitchen and prepare a meal up to food health and safety practices.

Ordered the veal scallopini 45 minutes later advised that it was not available, so ordered a pizza instead, I got my pizza as we were going to run late for the movie but the other 3 on our table didn't get their meals, one order was lost and other two arrived ten minutes later, the whole time you can hear someone yelling in the kitchen and the wait staff seem less than interested, food was pretty ordinary too, really horrible experience something from ramseys kitchen nightmares came to mind. I see from other reviews this seems to be the norm. My advise is just go somewhere else it really was not a pleasant place to be.

Ordered an amatricana which regardless of how it is made traditionally did not state that the dish included mushrooms. However when it came out with mushrooms littered throughout the pasta, when asking for my meal to be remade I overheard the chef say "just give him a side plate he can pick them out, there's not many" and walked away. Really unhappy and will not be going back

Motorbike ride up the beach, needed a drink so stopped here, ended up with fish and chips with a view. Flake was great, dim sims were okay, not the best but definitely acceptable for 3.30pm in the afternoon. Bloke was friendly as too.

Worst fish and chips experience. Went on a quiet weekday evening with no other customers. Despite the bad reviews, I decided to give them a chance—big mistake. 1. Ordered a Fisherman’s Basket for TWO and received ONE fish. She didn't say anything and we had to walk back to ask her about it. When questioned, the lady claimed it was "a big fish" and standard practice is to serve ONE fish between TWO people. 2. Calamari was undercooked, soggy, cold and made me feel ill after just one bite. 3. The prices ($45) are outrageous for such poor quality and small portions. Please see photo for comparison of food and phone. I've never had such a small box for a meal between two. Even lunch packs are bigger at other places. An absolute scam. I felt disgusted after my meal here. I will never come back here.

I was there this week. Ordered 2 potato cakes, 1 dim sim. The potato cakes were so oily as to be inedible. The dim sim tasted off. The man serving was strange to say the least, and made some odd comments. He gave me a few free chips in the bag which were nice. My god tho the whole think was so bad.

They have nice takeaway packs with good variety. I liked the salad too, it all did seem fresh and crispy. Much better than other fish and chips with pretty much the same menu. Even better if you can find yourself a seat with great views. They have recently increased their prices though 😒.

They have two things to cook, fish and chips, the chips were very average, actually below average… fish was just ok, poor service, wayyy over priced, will never eat here again that’s for sure! Give them a miss I say.

Amazing! Love the people, and the lady who served us today was so polite and great! I absolutely died when I tried their ‘Fisherman’s Basket for 2’ with my partner today; I’ve never had a better fish and chips with salad ever!!!! Not oily, fresh, crunchy, and not a heavy meal! My new favourite fish and chip stop!

After first finding Poletto in Mount Eliza, my family and I are delighted to have another destination to get our gluten free icy heaven sticks! It’s the one thing my gluten intolerant kids can get super excited about. Now coupled with a walk along the Frankston foreshore, for an arvo stroll and take in the scenery! Weather dependant for the walk, but the takeaway coffee at Piccoletta is worth the stop, cafe drop and roll on the way to work too!

My two children enjoyed the cookies and cream and chocolate gelato at their school concert tonight, thank you :)

Was nice sitting outside under cover. Large meals. Was good that there was a ramp and disabled toilet. Staff need to more aware of when taking orders from customers if there is a group maybe talk to leader before just taking orders from elderly customers. Ice creams were delicious

Went for lunch, heard that Sofia closing. Today was like any other time we been, food, staff was 💯 perfect like other times over the years. Sad that goodness is coming to an end, the staff were really good and professional too. BIG THANK YOU

Despite the incredible atmosphere, the food was incredibly mediocre. The risotto was undercooked to a degree where the grains of rice would hurt and the toppings of the pizza would just fall off. Not to mention how cold the mussels were. The view of the beach was pleasant but overall the experience was horrible compared to the other Sofia branches. Not coming back.

The taste of the food are very exceptional and the view of the beach are also a bonus to this restaurant. However, I feel like there is a lack of communication between staff and attentiveness but overall it was a nice experience. The waitress that was serving us was accommodating.

Update 13/6/22: We ordered 2x large The Lot pizzas, and it was still just as good as when I visited two years ago. Generous toppings; very fresh, flavoursome ingredients; piping hot. I particularly enjoyed the crispy onions, olives, and hot salami. Lovely, friendly, welcome service. June 2020: Reading the reviews to this place, I was very skeptical about visiting. However, it seems they have been either subject to grave exaggeration or unrealistically high expectations. I ordered a Small "The Lot" pizza, and was very satisfied with it – served straight from the oven, with layers of well flavoured toppings. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was clean and well lit. The beach surroundings were a bonus.

Nice sea side restaurant. Beautiful environment. Bit windy to sit outside. Sitting literally few cm away from the beach. Staff ok in giving service but sometimes shows some rushing attitude. Indoor nice foe family dining. Price seems different from Burwood Sofia.

This was our second time at Sofia. The first time we tried seafood so this time we decided to have something else. The pasta dishes we good. My wife said the schnitzel was excellent. I had pizza which was alright. I think part of the problem was my choice of pizza. It would probably be great for someone else. The staff was nice and helpful. They also had some nice looking desserts and an ice cream bar. The restaurant is next to the beach so it is handy for a snack during a day on the water. I would recommend dining at Sofia.

Food was really good. Most of the service staff, friendly and very attentive, however did find the older lady waitress very pushy and rude. Photos do not do the food justic. We were so hungry that I forgot to take photos before every one delved in.

Great authentic Cantonese food. David the boss has amazing customer service skills. Went out of his way to accommodate our special request.

Again, again, back again... And if possible, each time Ginseng either gets even better or astounds me as to their high level of quality consistency. Yes, I have my favourite meals yet most times we add a new dish to the table as a culinary adventure. Not yet been disappointed and even those that don't become favourites rate 7/10 or higher. AND the service and atmosphere is always at a 10+, generally full and buzzing. Get a booking!! This place is so in demand you will be lucky to get a seat for a couple let alone a small group if you haven't booked ahead. We love it there, will be back again and again and again...

Great food and service. Would recommend this place for small and large groups. We sat 20 people and all were happy with everything.

Service is excellent! Due to a private event, we were told to wait for half an hour but it turned out that we waited for 1 hour. Throughout the 1 hour wait, the staff kept coming to check on us. Send in our orders to the kitchen first and got all ingredients ready. Once we got a table, they started cooking. By the time we settled down at our table, nice and hot dishes were served. Food is delicious! They even threw in complementary dishes as they felt bad for making us wait. We end up with 3 more complementary dishes and had to call a stop for more coming in as we really cannot finish with what we have ordered plus the 3 complementary dishes. Great service and good food which explains the never ending flow of customers. Live music available too. Thank you for the great experience. Worth the wait.

Unfortunately on delivery I was charged an extra $4 as I requested to add Chinese broccoli and mushrooms to my beef and oyster sauce. I didn’t get my beef in oyster sauce I just got mushrooms and Chinese broccoli. I’m sure I was charged extra and I had less than what I ordered. A little disappointed.

A first rate Cucina! A great selection of Italian meals: pizza, pasta, parmigiana, and risotto. Fresh ingredients, cooked beautifully in a wood fired oven, and served very quickly. You can also just pop in for a coffee, cake, gelato, or all three! This appears to be a family run business, and all of the staff are, happy, friendly, and professional. This is a non apologetic, family oriented local restaurant for everyone. Street parking is at a premium, but there is plenty behind the arcade, with only a short walk. Takeaway is available.

Cucina Dolce doesn’t look like a lot from the outside but the food and service makes up for it in every way possible. So many options on the menu including vegetarian and gluten free as well as a great drinks menu with wine pairing suggestions. The team working were beyond nice and attentive with some banter in the mix. My new favourite italian restaurant in bayside.

Had a disappointing experience at Cucina Dolce today. The pizza itself was underwhelming—lacking flavor and with uneven toppings that didn’t seem fresh. To make matters worse, I found a piece of plastic in my food, which was both shocking and unacceptable. I expected better quality and hygiene from this place. Management needs to address their food safety standards.

Had this as a delivery. It was the nicest home delivery I’ve ever had. Pizza was tasty and not overloaded, just the right amount of toppings. I slightly altered my order by reducing marina sauce and they listened. Will definitely order from here again.

The food here is an absolute delicacy! The traditional & gourmet pizzas are up there with the best pizzas you’ll find in Melbourne, if not the best! The pizza base here has the most beautiful wood fired pizza crunch! If you’re a wood fired pizza lover, then this place is worth the visit 🎯

Been coming to Cucina Dolce for years… and I have to say their service keeps getting better! I was looked after by the most respectful, polite, and wonderful young man who seemed to be running around doing everything…. In and out of the kitchen… even at the pizzas! We always love to see hardworking staffs doing their best to help local businesses for the local community. Great touch on Freddy for picking his team on top of what is always excellent food! 👍

Not very busy when I was there. An old favourite, but haven't been for a while. Had pizzas which were nice. The service was good as always. The decor looks the same as I remember. Recommend this restaurant.

Was hopeful for this charming restaurant but service and low quality food ultimately let it down. We watched as staff ate off a customers plate before it went to the customer, that was the first big red flag. The menu was different from what is online. The Parma was awful but they did replace it with apologies with a pizza. The pizza is the best thing on the menu but just due to the hygiene and service we won't be back.

Had a get together over lunch on a Wednesday and enjoyed a quiet spot near the pizza oven which wasn't operating that day. My Tandoori chicken was quite bland, charcosled and very dry but coming from an area with not much variety, I ate it up. Friends risotto looked and was reported as, delicious while my sister quite enjoyed the cocktail menu and the bruschetta, which she felt wasn't as good as her previous offering at cafe162. Friendly and attentive staff on a reasonably busy midweek lunch. We will return to try a pizza soon.

The food was very nice. The steak could have had a more char-grill cooked vibe to it. Nevertheless, it was extremely well cooked. Nice serve of veggies with delicious chunky potatoes done as a chip 🍟 style. Very nice premises throughout. Big car park on street entry. The front door should have been closed as it made the place pretty cold for the evening. Great 🍸 🍹 drinks!! Will be coming back.

Orderd a garlic cheese pizza and what i got was a wafer thin over cooked tastless biscuits. This restaurant has really gone down since the original owner who started the restaurant sold it. Won't ever be ordering from here again such a waste of money and the wife's shank was disappointing.

I have been to Beach 162 many times with my friends and family members. Last night 15 family members surprised my Dad for his 88th Birthday and all 15 of us were so impressed with the quality, size of the meals and the amazing service and atmosphere. Can highly recommend this venue

Has this place recently changed management? We were regularly diners here, always had positive experiences. A few weeks ago the 2 of us took our chances & arrived without a reservation & were rudely told we should have booked a table as they were very busy. We would have understood if they could not accommodate us. There was a long table of diners, then 2 other diners in a corner. That's it! The place was empty! The food was not what it used to be - our woodfired pizza was a soggy mess of oil & tomato sauce. This is not Mediterranean dining - it's a totally different culture experience! OFFENDED! DISAPPOINTED! WONT BE BACK!

Service was excellent with great atmosphere. The food was very well presented and mostly tasty. We did enjoy our night there and would recommend.

I’ve been to Fratelli many times and usually love it, but this visit was very disappointing. I ordered the lamb shank, and what I got was grey, chewy, and completely unappealing—no sear, no flavour. I couldn’t eat it and let the waitress know. She offered to replace it, (after I’d eaten the vegetables) which I declined as I was put off by what I was served - but there was no follow-up from the manager and no gesture like a discount. Going out is a treat these days, and this was really disheartening .

We made a last minute decision to go out for dinner, Fratelli staff were very friendly and accommodating. They seated us in the outdoor area, it was very comfortable with the blinds pulled down and heaters on. We were impressed with how quickly they served us and extremely impressed with how quickly the food was presented. The pizzas were both delicious. My gluten free pizza base was slightly undercooked but very tasty. We then had ice cream and crème brûlée for dessert. The crème brûlée was generously portioned and VERY nice tasting. A lovely crispy burnt top.

Food was enjoyable, especially the pizzas. Chicken salard was short on chicken not really worth it. But everything else was good, service excellent, was a bit noisy.

Great place for Italian food and at good value too. My only gripe with my visit was that the menu said penne pasta, but I got served rigatoni instead. The dish tasted great, but I wish the menu was accurate.

Came here in May 2024 when my daughter wanted Italian food for her bday lunch. Were not disappointed and we've been coming back for Birthdays and special occasions ever since and each time our food is amazing always hot and fresh, service is outstanding. Great that it's open for service all day. Can not fault this place, we travel an hour to eat here, we have an Italian restaurant chain closer to us but just doesn't meet the standards at Fratellis. Authentic Italian food at great prices and I love that the owner is always around keeping watch of his staff and food.

We came here randomly on Monday night and they had renovations going on. They were only offering take out at that stage which is fair enough The staff were so lovely, not only did they come outside to see us but they made us a seat outside the restaurant away from the renovations. The food is great, very well priced and big portions. The garlic bread is delicious, especially with the cheese I had the veal parmigiana. It's been a long time since I saw veal on a menu and it was really nice. Not tough at all and the Napoli sauce with grilled cheese really makes it a good parmigiana. My partner had the spaghetti and enjoyed it a lot as well. We definitely left very full and satisfied. Great food and customer service. Definitely worth a visit

Not sure if there's new management or something else, but the place somehow have lost the charm and drive it had couple of years ago. Same goes with the food and flavours. I had bn here a few times before and was a go-to Indian restaurant for us, may it be a 1v1 cosy dinner or a group feast. Visited them again recently and was a bit disappointed. The reason we liked it was that we'd ask for medium to low spice and food would come very flavourful without being sharp, this time the food came rather bland. The place itself felt dull with very poor lighting and the service was quite slow. I must add we went pretty early for a dinner, but once a place is open it should be on it's peak presentation.

Ordered tonight for take out. Price is around the mark for indian. Ordered Dahl makhani which was spot on. But the Vegetable Korma we ordered was absolutely horrendous, dry and claggy with no flavour. We ended up not eating it after the first mouth full. Garlic naan was the smallest servings I've ever got from an indian restaurant. Which was another letdown. Probably won't be eating from here again after this experience.

I've dined on The Spice Club's cuisine on a few occasions now and have found the food to be consistently high quality. It's priced reasonably well for the amount of food and their menu is very expansive which I also like. Ordering online to collect occasionly confused the front staff, as they have multiple systems to monitor and keep a track of.

It has seemingly gone downhill again. Every few years this place goes downhill, then it picks back up with new managers/ownership etc. Tonight was bad. We ordered at 6:30pm and the food didn’t arrive until 8:30pm. The potato in my saag aloo has the most bizarre dry texture, dry on the inside like it has been reheated and days old? I asked for mild and the meal was spicy. Papadums were drowned in oil. Naan cold upon arrival. Will try again in a year or so, for now Kasturi around the corner is the choice moving forward.

Really loved going here! Visited for my first time last week and it was delicious! Not too expensive either. My mother and I were dining in and were a bit nervous as we are both vegan but the staff there were so helpful and talked us through the menu and what they could make vegan for us! I'm also not very good with super spices food but here we got the option to have mild, medium or hot spices which was really great especially if you are taking kids or not huge on spices foods. Will definitely be returning sometime soon and 100% recommend!

The food hear was outstanding delicious and met all expectations. I highly recommend requesting for the Goat dish and we ate the Lamb Vindaloo which was delicious. The flavours I thoroughly enjoyed. A beautiful gem hidden in Frankston.

The premises looks amazing, very contemporary and elegant. The staff were friendly and there was a lot of staff on and our food came relatively quickly. The food was ok but has room for minor improvement mainly the temperature of the food...our Chicken and Cashew dish was warm..not piping hot as it should. I made note of our steamed rice being luke warm to one of the server's, who fetched another server and when I explained to him it should be hot he looked at me weirdly grabbed the bowls in a huff and walked off without any word'sbeing exchanged, only to replace the rice from the rice cooker...so basically exactly what we had. I didn't want to argue the point any further..I shouldn't have to. I believe there was a communication/language barrier...when there shouldn't have been. Having dined in many dumpling joints in Melbourne and locally, I felt the price point was off. 12 pork dumplings cost $19.5, which is about $5 more than others in the area, and they were not anything special..for close to $20 a dozen it was a let down, a fair price would be $15. The Chicken, Vegetables and Cashew at $27.50 was also underwhelming for the price. Overall it was a good experience taking away the above feedback..Would I return? I honestly don't think so...price for what you pay for under delivered.

Ordered honey chicken three times — twice it came without honey. The first time I called, I was laughed at on the phone. Tonight, the same mistake happened again, and the only “compensation” offered was extra sauce next time. That is unacceptable. Paying customers should not have to chase what they ordered, be mocked when raising concerns, or accept empty promises. Two mistakes out of three orders is not bad luck — it’s poor service and zero accountability.

Cosy and Tasty has easily become my favourite restaurant in Frankston. First off, I would have to say the food here is impeccable—comparable even to Flower Drum, but at a much more affordable price. The dishes are an adventure in their own right, often telling a story of the culture and customs of their place of origin. My personal favourite is the Szechuan chicken, which is a perfect combination of both Szechuan and Yue cuisine, yet with a distinct flavour that undoubtedly comes from Australian influence. The food here is all homemade (in-store) and very much reminds me of back home. It’s as if I had returned to the rice paddies, eating my mother’s home-cooked meals beneath the willow tree as the midday sun scorched the earth. I would also like to note the magnificent service at this establishment. Despite running around endlessly like busy bees buzzing about, the staff still manages to make you feel comforted and at ease—a feat I would say is no easy task. The team even compensated for making us wait (just five minutes) with complimentary prawn crackers, and they added extra ice cream to our chocolate wontons since it was my sister’s birthday. I would also like to give a personal shoutout to our waiter there, Barry, who made us feel so welcomed and had taken care of us so well. Overall, I’d rate this place a 9.5/10. I would definitely come here again, and again, and again—until the day I can no longer move

Booked for a dinner on a crisp Thursday night. Ordered the special fried rice, kongpo chicken, chilli oil pork dumplings, and grilled chicken and prawn dumplings. Chilli oil were the standout. Very nice flavour. Everything else was good, however quite expensive for dumplings and rice. Stick to dumplings when you come.

The food and service is great and well priced. It is called Cosy and Tasty, but it isn't cosy, and gets very noisy when it fills up, but it is tasty.

We had the chicken dumplings with chilli oil as dumplings are their specialty - and they didn’t disappoint on this front. We ordered 2 entree sized dishes and 1 main dish. We wanted it all to come out at the same time, however I ended up eating my dishes before my partners main came out. My partners main was incredibly small for what is was and the price. Wouldn’t rush back any time soon.

The dumplings are SO good!! I’d say the best I have ever had. The servings are very generous and the service is great. Our new favourite spot for dinner.

Greeted friendly from the young man at door! ;) We had great night, delicious foods, their deep fried fish fillet with tamarind sauce is highly recommended. Definitely come back again for their other dishes! All the waitress are so warm and friendly. As local, this can be our regular visits!

I have been dining here for many years. Always the best service, friendly and fast, with attention to detail. The food is to die for, best massaman curry I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Hooked On Thai experience, you will not be disappointed..

A decent thai place around Frankston . Serving size is huge and the seafood sizzler looks more like a soup as well but it tastes delicious. Decent food and friendly staff. Tom kha is delicious, tom kha is too sour for my taste. Fried rice and Pad thai are okay. I find the menu a little expensive and reviews are bit overrated.

Great food. Great service. We were there to celebrate a birthday and the host got everyone to sing happy birthday when we had our cake. Lots of fun!

Hooked on Thai, if u live in Frankston or around the are you must know or tried this restaurant. Tom yum soup and Chicken Green Curry are very good.

The gentleman at the door was welcoming, and we were impressed by the atmosphere as we walked in. The food arrived quickly, and at first, we were satisfied. We ordered the prawn spring rolls, which were decent. However, we also ordered two Pad See Ew dishes, but the waitress misheard and brought us Pad Thai instead. Rather than apologizing for the mix-up, she walked away and later returned, insisting that we had ordered Pad Thai. She then sarcastically remarked that her ears “must not be working,” rolled her eyes, and left. When she finally brought out the correct dish, she placed it on the table without a word—no apology, no “enjoy your meal,” just pure disregard. I also asked for a little bit of chili, but she overloaded the dish to the point where it was inedible and set my mouth on fire. We sent the dish back, but to our surprise, she still requested that we pay for it. Unfortunately, the food itself was average, and the service was shocking. Based on this experience, we won’t be returning.

What has happened. This used to be one of my favourite Frankston restaurants. I had satay chicken and it wasn’t good. My chicken with a couple of carrots and onions was floating in oil. So dissapointed It was barely edible. And the fried rice had no flavour with shrivelled up peas and corn. I won’t go back after eating here for years. Such a shame

It was my first time there yesterday for dinner. It was gorgeous inside! The warm red aura and vibes, as well as the furnishings was elegant and beautiful! The service was good, and the meal I had was filling and delicious! I ordered the Wonton soup, Curry with rice, lemonade and banana fritter for dessert. Each had their own charm and presentation and I was amazed how much I liked it all! I will come again, but I do wish this place opened in the afternoon hours too. Now that Sasaki is gone, I would love a new Asian restaurant to open after noon like Sasaki did.

Love this restaurant, staff are always friendly, food great, lots of vegetarian options they also had the fake meat which I’m not into but some vegetarians enjoy. I had a Vegetarian Vietnamese salad with tofu which was amazing, they understood no fish sauce for Vegetarians as a lot of places don’t get it. Others had scallops and a curry all equally good.

This a great Vietnamese restaurant. You should go here! The staff were very helpful, polite and attentive. The restaurant looks great, they've gone to great detail to decorate the space and really give it an atmosphere. The dishes we tried were really great, fresh and hot and brought out quickly. Good, authentic Viet food that could rival your asian aunty's food. In our several visits here, the dishes have been excellent in terms of taste and visual appeal. We chose different dishes to share across the table for the best tasting experience. We would recommend the sugar cane prawns (entree), beef coleslaw and the traditional curry. Ambience in the restaurant is great, and wait staff are very attentive and friendly. Well worth the drive down (past Springvale) to Frankston for proper Vietnamese food.

Decor in this place is really out there and fun. We enjoyed looking at it all. The service was also friendly. However the food here was quite average and overpriced in my opinion. The spring rolls were delicious. But my BBQ beef was tough and a bit too salty and the portion was too small for $26. My partner's curry was apparently not that good. We ordered dessert and that was also very small and not very tasty.

Corn fritters were okay even though they were deep fried balls instead of flat fritters. The sweet chilli sauce was poured over the fritters before being served instead of in a dish so you don't have the option to not add it if you find that you are not keen on it. The poached eggs tasted a lot of vinegar and the toast was the size of half a piece of normal toast. The iced coffee was very small for $8.50

The staff are very friendly, and all the food was great. As a Korean, I really enjoyed the kimchi sandwich. The only downside was the matcha latte—it had a hint of ginger(?) in it. 🥲 I was expecting original matcha, but it wasn’t, so I couldn’t finish it.

I find this to be my happy place. Coming here at the end of the working week with my partner, sister or mother is what I always look forward to the most. The staff are so friendly and it’s always comforting to know I’ll be greeted by them every time I visit. They really have set a standard for a cafe that no other place has managed to uphold for me. I needed to find a cafe close to the railway station - tick. I have several food 'issues' so checked out the menu online before deciding whether to go there - tick. I'm so glad I did :) The menu has many gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. The staff are welcoming, genuine, attentive, and clearly enjoy working there. The seating is comfortable, the decor a little quirky and clearly chosen and created with care. The coffee and food were delicious. I look forward to my next visit :)

First time customers. We didn't really know what to expect but we thought we'd give Stacks a go for breakfast. We personally did not enjoy our food but it is great for kids and I know many people would enjoy the huge American style serves. Personal experience: I ordered bacon and pancakes which comes with whipped butter and maple syrup - requesting crispy bacon, a latte with sugar and an orange juice. On arrival the bacon had some crispy/burnt bits but mostly undercooked where the fat hadn't even begun to render, it was thick cut, very generous in quantity. It came with 2 buttermilk pancakes which were large and thick, fluffy but heavy. A very small amount of maple syrup (but we were brought a bottle for the table on request). Coffee was large but tasted like watered down milk, had no sugar but I didn't want to drink it anyway so didn't ask again for the sugar. Juice was terrible, long life fruit drink style you get on the supermarket shelf. Very reasonably priced and quick service but it's not for me.

Fast service, excellent staff. The pancakes taste a little like baking powder, but they are very fluffy. I'd come back if I were in the area and craving pancakes. Music was low enough to have a conversation. Comfy bench seats. Nice large tables that aren't overly stacked with chairs. The layout and design is really thoughtful. Decent selection of teas. We had the banana pancake and the wall street one. Lots of bacon on mine. The bananas were settl seasoned with cinnamon.

Good pancakes, good portion sizes however the staff were very inattentive. Got sat down, menu given, then waited about 20 minutes before I had to get up to get a wait staff to tell them I wanted to order.. On the other hand, another family got sat down and their order taken within 5 minutes.. It was also probably because we were sat behind a big group but it is no excuse..

OMG!!! Deliciousness!!! The chicken strips were so crispy and tasty! And the Tom Tam Special Pancakes were drool worthy. Staff were lovely, attentive and super swift. Prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be back as soon as possible!

The pancake is fresh and fluffy however it feels like it can have more sauce (e.g. The Nutella pancakes only have Nutella on top but not in between later of Nutella). Overall it is as good as Pancake Parlour.

I took my family out for tea on Sunday 11 August. The staff were fantastic and friendly. Well done to management for employing such lovely people. Meals were delicious. Best milkshakes in Frankston. We will definitely be back on a regular basis.😀

Servers have excellent service attitude. Prices are reasonable and portions are big. The food does have a longer waiting time, especially during the dinner rush hour. But it’s acceptable.

We ordered takeaway not realising how awesome the ambiance was in there till we picked our food up. Food was ready when we arrived. Front hostess was lovely-Pizza was perfect, pasta dish was so fresh I was gobsmacked & the garlic bread was so garlicky...yummy...hats off to the chefs & management- To whoever needs a great home cooked meal head over to La Porchetta in Frankston , you will not be disappointed 😋

Highly enjoyed the experience at La Porchetta! My friend and I visited yesterday and had a great time. We had Gnocchi beef ragu, fettuccine beef ragu and cheesy garlic bread. Food was delicious and portion very generous. Price also very appropriate and we didn’t have to wait long for food to arrive. I loved that we were able to choose from different forms of pasta and combine it with the sauce/flavours of your choice. I also took the lasagna and the sticky date pudding as a takeaway order for my partner and it was very tasty too. Our main waitress was an older lady, she was very kind and lovely. We enjoyed her service. All the other stuff was very friendly too. Overall everything was fantastic and I will be visiting again!

Chips and wedges came fast, then the food for our table of 4. Impressive for a Sat night. Good food, friendly and helpful staff. Clean toilet facilities. Clean and casual atmosphere. Caters to children.

Each week I bring my intellectually disabled client in for dinner. Each week our table is set, they know our order! Staff are friendly, prices are good. The staff go that extra mile which makes such a difference. I believe it's a family owned business and I recommend it to everyone I see over the two other prominent Pizza/Pasta places in Frankston and surrounds.

Was very pleasantly surprised when we went for dinner on a Saturday night- excellent service along with the quality and potion size of the meal - it was a doggy bag night. The iced coffee was delicious and the best I’ve ever had. The bottled water was even nicely chilled unlike most restaurants nowadays

Ordered a rare rib eye steak. Half was blue the other half was well done. Seemed almost as if the steak was frozen before cooked. Chips were chewy. Partners snitz was processed. Not going there again 😂😂

Was in Frankston visiting family and went twice. The first visit was for a birthday dinner and the second was because we enjoyed it so much. The food was bought out quickly, was fresh and hot. Service was impeccable, we were greeted and sat down quickly and had the menu explained to us and how to order via the app.

The food itself is generally good quality and comes out quickly. Mostly good variety but lacking in vegetarian main dishes (plenty of entrees). Ordering by QR code let us down a couple of times (order hadn’t gone through) and they flatly refused to split a bill 50/50 which can make eating out with friends a bit tricky.

The food was very delicious, very fresh sushi and sashimi and freshly pan fried dumplings. A range of Japanese dishes such as tempura shrimp and vegetables and udon noodles. Service was outstanding, waiters were attentive and the restaurant is clean and well maintained. Will come back to eat again!!

Happy to say that the food was excellent. Each meal has a different texture and taste. Meals come out gradually throughout the two hour period. There is more than enough food available. Service was as expected— quick and positive, although once a staff member didn't hear a table member request a food item, and walked away. This isn't bad. The overall experience was special in that we tasted the Japanese culture not only in the food but in little details of Japanese etiquette such as the mini food dishes and serving style. Try Okami but remember to book in advance!

A group of 4 of us had dinner at the teppanyaki area for my birthday. I got the chicken and lamb dinner and my husband got the beef and lamb. All the food was delicious, especially the amazing flavour of the lamb. The highlight of the night was our chef. He was hilarious and very engaging. Would definitely recommend.

We were looking forward to our favourite, slow-cooked prime rib steaks for dinner, like what we were served at Hogsbreath Knox before the COVID lockdowns, but unfortunately we were deeply disappointed. Upon arrival, we were told that there would be a 10-15 minute wait time for a table. This was perfectly reasonable, and we were seated within that time. However, when we sat down we found that the table was sticky and the seats were hard. We asked for the table to be cleaned, and the staff happily obliged, but even after they wiped it again, they left parts of the table still dirty. We went to order the signature 18 hr slow cooked prime rib, but were told that none was available. It would have been better if they mentioned this before we took the time to wait for a table. Instead, we then ordered 2 rump steaks and a pork-out plate. The staff also said they would bring us water. They forgot to bring us the water, but after 5-10 minutes came back to tell us that the pork was unavailable. Why couldn't they have told us which items were available before we ordered? We ordered a sirloin steak instead. After a while, sitting on the hard seats, we asked to change table to one of the booths with cushions. The staff happily obliged, but once we moved we found the seats weren't much better and this table, and the seats with it, were also dirty. Once the food arrived, we found that 1. The serving of sides was smaller than it used to be at Hogs, 2. The rump and sirloin steaks looked the exact same, and 3. The two rump steaks were supposed to be medium well, and the sirloin medium rare, but one of the rump steaks looked as rare as the so-called 'sirloin'. The staff member who didn't bring us water said that she would bring cutlery now. We think she forgot again, because she never brought it. We eventually asked a different member of staff for water and cutlery, and she apologised and got both for us. We also asked for the 'medium well' steak (the one that looks rare in the photos) to be cooked more. Once it came back, we found it was now over cooked, as shown in the photos that look 'well done' and quite burnt. Finally, at payment they overcharged us, to my shock. When I told them that I didn't think the price was right for 2 rump steaks and 1 sirloin steak, they showed me a receipt for 3 rump steaks and a pork-out plate. Just as well that I checked what they were charging me for, so it could be corrected! Overall, the staff members were polite, but otherwise, the service was poor with items forgotten and an incorrect order, the food was either unavailable or not cooked well, the tables were dirty and the seats were uncomfortable. Just to top it off, despite us being lifetime members, Hogs no longer honours the 20% loyalty discount. All of these little disappointments put together mean that this may be our last visit to Hogsbreath. This is not the hogspitality that we used to know, nor the tasty steaks that we used to boast about to friends.

If I could give a zero I would. To say disappointment is such an understatement. My wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner before the movies. I will stop here and say we didn’t eat. When my first steak was brought out I had a quick taste and believe the meat was rancid. My wife’s wasn’t rancid but had a strange taste as well. I returned my steak and when I got my replacement steak it too had a rancid flavour. I thought well at least I might just try to eat the fries. But after eating just a few I noticed a large black hair. ( I am bald and my wife has blond hair). Instant turn off. I took the plates up and let the staff know I would not be paying for the meals. I paid for my coke and wife’s beer and we left. Utter waste of time and money. This place has gone so far backwards it isn’t funny. It has been over 12 years since we were here last. So from then to now they have lost their way. I have also attached a picture of the plate with the hair. Final point I also ordered macaroni and cheese. I don’t know exactly what it was on my plate. But the square thing on the bottom left is it. **Update- Hogs reached out to me and they tried to tell me that I should have complimented the staff. I don’t know what for they didn’t do anything other than I would expect from any other food establishment that gave me rancid meat and then more with a side of human hair.*** I would not recommend this establishment

The food is good and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is very much like a diner you would find in America but that's not a bad thing. The meals are a good size but can be very filling and your choice is plentiful as well.

Have been multiple times and have been very unimpressed and unsatisfied without fail everytime this restaurants only saving grace is its friendly staff and interior design and layout the worst part is it is not cheap by any means Edit: went to leave a 2 star review saying food was ok, overpriced and staff were friendly, to my surprised I found a review from me 6 years ago stating the same thing. At this least they’re consistently mediocre 😂 Ps what a terrible $27 salad, didn’t even have dressing

Loved the prime rib (cut like a steak)! Make sure to have the backend seasoning, which makes the meat taste just a bit like it's burnt, which I love so much, and is very soft. Prices are decent for the steak. Caesar salad is meh, and does not come with anchovies even. Their curly fries are considered by them to be a speciality, but I do not like them. They are never crunchy and don't taste right to me. Service is ok, facilities are ok.

Went there for dinner with fam and we all enjoyed our meals. Not forgetting friendly staff with good sense of humor. Keep it up!

I ordered a delicious Thai green curry. Hit the spot and was well priced. For my taste it was too sweet however the seasonal veggies and the mild level of spice balanced it out. The hospitality was fantastic and the setting was a very nice surprise. It's cosy inside.

Best Thai shop on the peninsula by far, closest Thai food I have had to the food in Thailand in Australia! Always consistent, high quality and authentic home style taste as well as great service with a smile. Have been going here for years and will be going here for many more. - Kristian & Liz

The owner needs some lessons in professional service. Took so long to come and serve us and the place was empty. She walked around the restaurant doing other things as she was taking our order not even acknowledging us. She was arrogant and rude to say the least. The Pad Thai was nice but the Pad Satay was a joke. Could of cooked it better with a stir through ‘chicken tonight.’ The only reason I gave 3 stars was the Pad Thai was good. Unfortunately, won’t be going back which is a real shame.

A great local Thai restaurant that serves fresh and delicious food. Wonderful and friendly service. If you like spicy soup try the three chilli 🌶 rated one. It might be eye watering, but so good!

My Husband and l have been going to this restaurant for years and we have never had a bad experience. The food is amazing, the staff is fantastic and the service has always been great. Thanks so much Toy, Tom and Patty. We are looking forward to have our wedding anniversary there in a weeks time, as this is our favorite restaurant.

Ordered two Pad Thai with tofu. The Pad Thai was tasty enough but not the best I've had but the tofu was like rubber. To make it worse when I went to pay the bill I discovered that the Pad Thai was $23.50 instead of the $15.50 printed on the menu. When I asked her about this she said that was the take away price which seemed odd because there is a separate take away menu. I was too tired to argue but I definitely won't go back. In any case, $23.50 is way too high a price for Pad Thai.

Lady serving was nice... Not a good liar tho Ordered massamun beef curry with coconut rice.. got a big chunk of raw chicken in it which they tried to deny was raw chicken. Then once I told them I worked in restaurants for 15 years and looked like every piece of chicken I ever saw they realized they couldn't lie their way out of it and they're facial expressions gave it away that it was chicken indeed they talked amongst themselves for 5 minutes in Thai with their backs to while I waited for a resolution. Which never came. I ended up walking out. $38 for potential food poisoning 👍👍

We were taken by surprised when we were served with our thai fried rice. In the menu, it states that it comes with chicken meat, beef and prawns. There was only one prawn and no other meat, when we checked with the young lady who took our order, she claimed that it has blended into tiny pieces……????? Certainly it does not meet the descriptions as per the menu. We felt cheated for the price we paid for

Very small serves. The lunchtime special was smaller than an entree. They advertise *Seniors Special* but there isn't any discount applied? 😕 I've never tasted such bland Thai food before. I had chicken satay with Jasmine rice which was mostly carrot & sticky cold rice. My husband had prawn special fried which went in the bin! Don't waste your money!

Had dinner with friends here last night and the food was fantastic. Decent servings plenty of flavours and the service was friendly and efficient and all up cost less than $30 each for an entree 4 mains and a dessert. Def will return here again. Gregg L.

I called and asked if it was normal and they said yeah because we stir-fry the veggies is just an excuse to rip people off plenty of better tasting and cheaper options around

Absolutely disgusting. Ate in and food took ages. It arrived and tasted dreadful. Not sure what was going on with the so called satay sauce. One prawn in the not so special fried rice and no other meat. Irrespective, awful flavors and ingredients, did not taste fresh at all. We both felt quickly unwell and left after a few bites.

My takeaway chicken green curry today disappointed me mostly rice and big orange lumps of sweet potato 5 to be exact , was dry and tasteless . I always gave you great reviews before but you don't deserve them now, also the prawn crackers were white.

Tasteless food, ordered chicken and beef Pho and literally got 7 pieces of chicken which 2 of them were just skin. Spent over $50 and they weren't willing to do anything about it. Do not eat from here.

I've ordered from this establishment three times, hoping each experience would be better than the last. Unfortunately, the quality of food has noticeably deteriorated with each visit. Everything I ordered ended up being discarded in the rubbish bin, a testament to its poor quality. The spring rolls, which one would expect to be a simple yet satisfying dish, were disappointingly dry and lacked any real flavor. The soup, another basic staple, was equally underwhelming due to its complete lack of taste. It's rare that I write off a restaurant completely, but after these experiences, I have decided not to order from here again. My recommendation is to seek out other options where the quality and taste live up to expectations.

Wish I had read the reviews before I went here. $20 chicken pho soup...chicken was so dry and soup was basically chicken stock and water. Pork roll was only $7 but it was a dry roll with the thinnest slice of dry pork and a 1cm piece of soggy what I think was meant to be crackle.

Disgusting. Honey chicken was not even cooked properly. Nasi Goreng was flavourless and yuck and the prawn toast was stale. Don't go here. It's disgraceful that they can stay open. All food went in the bin

Honestly the worst pho I've ever eaten. Meat is overcooked, broth is flavourless. Chicken and sweetcorn soup is bland and has barely any chicken in it, and the bahn mi's lack flavour and are served in low quality soft rolls. If i could give less than 1 star i would. Speed of service is decent, but doesn't come close to making up for the lack of quality.

Ordered the beef pho- meat was well overcooked and broth was salty. Sweet and sour pork- batter was not great and no flavour. Not sweet and sticky like you'd normally get it elsewhere.

Terrible. Fried rice resembled boiled rice with peas, carrots and corn. I could make it better myself. Satay chicken had no peanut flavour at all. The Pho had no flavour and the beef was tough. I hate to write bad reviews but this was terrible.

Place is a vibe! Big central outdoor space that’s part beer garden part dive bar with upstairs area. Fish n chips were fabulous, big range of beers and legends behind the bar.

Fun vibey pub feel with fantastic quality food. Really enjoyable spot to hang out and get a great meal. We absolutely loved the steaks - great quality meat with the right amount of char, perfectly cooked to order, good sized portions and the sides were excellent - super crispy crinkle fries with chicken salt, gravy and a zingy mixed lettuce salad. Lots of variety in the options as well so there's something for everyone with special note to some really nice sounding vegetarian mains like the cheesy cauliflower. Cocktails were lovely and had a personalised twist showing some of the venues fun personality but would recommend ordering these off peak as the bar gets crowded. They have a good selection of beers and other drinks as well. Staff were friendly and upbeat. Very helpful. Location is great if you see a show at the Arts Centre and it is easy walking distance to the theatre and off-street parking. Looking forward to visiting again to try more of the menu!

A group of us came to Young Street Tavern for dinner before a show at the Frankston Arts Centre. We arrived just before 6 pm and had our food order in by 6:05 pm. To be fair, the floor staff were friendly. They comped the drinks we'd had when we had to leave, and had even offered us more free drinks while we were waiting, we declined as we just wanted our food and get to the show. The problem was we never received our food. We sat and watched at least three other tables, who arrived after us and received their meals. It honestly looked great. We had to follow up on our food at around 6:45 pm. We were told by the wait staff we would have it in 4 to 5 minutes. We still had nothing by 7:10 pm at which point we had to walk out with no good to make the show. What's confusing is the 90-minute seating policy. Surely that's meant to be enough time to have a proper entree, main, and dessert, right? Not for your food to hopefully arrive with only 10 minutes left to eat it and get out. In our case, after an hour, we got nothing at all. We just can't understand the breakdown in the order of service. I genuinely hope this is taken as a learning experience for the restaurant to review its process and improve for future customers.

Amazing local venue! Young Street Tavern is one of those rare places that gets everything right — the food is incredible (with vegie options), the live music adds such great energy, and the whole place has a warm, welcoming vibe to all the bands that play. The hospitality received as a band was next level. Even when they’re busy — and they often are, for good reason — the staff are upfront about wait times and do everything they can to make you comfortable. The owner personally checks in and goes out of his way to make sure everyone’s having a great experience, which really sets this place apart. Thank you so much to Clint, Spencer (PJ) and all the staff for a fantastic night.

So disgusting food really really bad the fish a chips was 70% batter and the chips was a joke just leftovers. Soda no gas !!! The answer about it was the tap wasn’t working properly so if it didn’t have gas so why are you selling it. I lost my money there.

Two times in a row we went in to enjoy their food. Two times in a row it was a drama to actually receive it! Fair enough you’re busy buy make sure you serve people who were there first. Not the people who got there 30 minutes after you ordered. We could easily have accepted their meal but honesty prevailed and we didn’t as it came with things we didn’t order! TWICE IN A ROW! Absolutely unreal! The food is amazing, just simple food made very very well. Super friendly bar tender too! If you’re a local and you haven’t been here, what the hell are you doing?! If you’re from out of town and trying to figure out where to quickly grab lunch or dinner, congratulations you’ve found it!

great burgers, great vibe. definitely the spot to catch up with mates over a few drinks and burgers they have a good variety of burger options where you choose the protein you want - makes every burger super versatile! my personal fav was the Whiskey Burger - the whiskey bbq sauce was lit! paired so well with the caramelised onion. id recommend this with the beef patties i also got the mac n cheese croqs but felt it needed a bit more seasoning - it might have just been an off day in the kitchen for this.. the outside was suuuper crispy though and had such an inviting crisp texture! they def had that down pat

We asked for a refund for food. Firstly when you walk in, you feel the sticky floor. Which isn't a great sign. Otherwise the place looked nicely decked out. We grabbed a menu and decided to go all the way down the back to the couch area. When we tried to decide where to sit, it took a while because the tables all looked dirty. We initially thought the tables were designed that way, black with white flicks on them. But realised they're all actually chipped which was weird. There was also flies flying around one of the couches. We sat down to have a look at the menus, and went up to order. No one came down to do any cleaning of the tables, so we used a wet wipe we had and did it ourselves. We waited around 35minutes for our food and drinks. It would have been nice to have drinks brought out whilst we waited for our food, but we didn't complain. The wait for food wasn't too bad, even though all we ordered was chips, macaroni bites, and chicken wings. Once they came out, we were pretty disappointed. Chips: Just a small basket of chips, and they were cold. So they were sitting there waiting we presume. Macaroni bites: These were the worst. They were so dark, and so hard. They were left in the fryer for way too long. The macaroni also had minimal flavour. Wings: These were just deep fried without any seasoning, and no marinade, just topped with sauce which smelt like stuff from a bottle. We have the same stuff at home I'm pretty sure. This was just too much, and I had to ask for a refund. Which I've never done before so it was pretty bad. Once I started telling the person behind the counter about our issues in a perfectly un-karen like manner, the person was quite defensive. There was no apology at all. She said about the chips 'Oh you should have told me'. That's not an acceptable response. I shouldn't have to tell you. You would know that they were getting cold. Apparently they were cooked up, but our order was last. We also asked for BBQ sauce instead but that was also forgotten. She also spoke about how they were understaffed, and that was understandable and I feel for them. But that doesn't mean we should have low quality food for the same prices. If it took time but tasted good, we would have been fine with that. I come from a long history of hospitality and customer service, so whenever I dine out I'm always understanding and try to clean up to make their jobs easier, and always thank them. As she counted out money, I said don't worry about the drinks. And she muttered it's fine. So overall attitude wasn't great. If she had taken it better and responded with an appologetic professional manner, like you're supposed to, I would have said 'Don't worry about it, it's not all your fault, and it happens.' Maybe she had a bad day. But it's still your job to be professional. In the end she only counted out cash to cover the food anyway. So we obviously won't be back. I hope the owner reads this and makes some changes about how things are run.

Great place, nice music. Ordered burgers, fries and a beer. Then another beer. And a third by the time our meals arrived over an hour later. Burgers were great, fries over cooked and over salted. But if not in a rush definitely worth going. Just don't order the sweet potato fries.

Love this place. Comfy, chill and easy going. Great fresh feed, delicious drinks and wait staff always checking in to ensure we're alright. Return customers 100%

THE WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. 4 of us waited 2 1/2 hours no joke for 4 burgers and my meat was RAW. Never got any starters while waiting and they weren’t even busy/Uber eats drivers coming in/out. After 2 hours I talked to the owner who was bartending and she argued with me saying I haven’t been waiting that long. Easily the worst service I’ve ever had and I had to send my burger back and she wouldn’t even take it off the bill.

Good food and good service. Well, used to be good food... They removed jalapeño poppers from the menu which was my favorite of all time. Music was loud but ok at least it wasn’t some lame lounge music or some cheesy cover songs. So sad, I used to like this place.

Great place to go and be social as the name implies. Went solo a few weeks ago and had the fatty 5-0. Beefy, Mac n cheesy, smoky bbq. Great burgers would eat again. Well cooked, nicely sauced. Also had the cheesy fries with chipotle seasoning and American cheddar cheese sauce. Would have been better if it was drowned in the stuff, sauce wasn't as cheesy as I hoped, more chipotle :(.. slight let down but still tasty enough.

First place i could find with a decent breakfast. Not disappointed in any way. First place I've found in a long time to get fried eggs over medium spot on (let alone even know what that is! ) generous portions, perfectly cooked. Service was excellent and iced coffee absolutely delicious! Well deserving of 5 stars!

Awesome bacon and eggs for lunch, why wouldn't you have breakfast at lunch time? Eggs perfectly cooked exactly as requested. Toast awesome with real butter and so much lovely thick cut bacon. Everything is better with bacon. Enjoyed the nice cool oasis on the hot day and enjoyed the coffee while I waited food to come. Service is always friendly and attentive.

One of my go-to places to catch up with friends! Highly recommend the hot chocolate and the bacon and eggs. The staff are brilliant and the café itself is absolutely lovely. Perfect for sitting inside with heater in winter, and outside in the open area at the front of the café when it's warm. It's right in the centre of Frankston and really easy to get to.

We've been here a few times and when somebody recently wanted suggestions for a place to eat on Good Friday for brekky, I immediately volunteered this establishment as my 1st preference. I booked a table for 10 ... with the possibility of a few extras coming along .... and Rocotillos reserved a table inside for 12 of us. So when everybody arrived and decided that they wanted to sit outside, the staff had no hesitation whatsoever in helping us to set up outside. SERVICE WITH A SMILE ..... considering that 17 of us barged into the place and took over. To the staff at Rocotillos .... thanks again for accommodating the Club250 riders ... we had a great morning and as always, the food and service was great. Highly recommended.

We recently held a training course in Frankston and used ROCOTILLOS CAFE to cater for our event of 17 people. The food was fantastic - delicious rolls, muffins and slices... Plus a wonderful fruit platter. Great value and plenty of food for 17 people. We'd definitely recommend this cafe for catering in the Frankston area. If we're ever down this way training customers again, we'll certainly be using Rocotillos again! Well done guys... And thank you!

Excellent place for coffee ,teas and cakes (you can have it and eat it too). Check out the soup of the day or something else from menu. Staff members are helpful and pleasant. Beers are available along with other kind of drinks. This place is going on my favorite list .....Thanks to all the staff 😊😊😊

Ordered the Rocotillos Breakfast. For the price paid, the portion was small and rather disappointing. Came out exactly as described on the menu. Spanish coffee was very nice though. Expensive.

Enjoyed their menus - they’ve great selection dishes. The mix grilled platter is recommended:) I’ll be back again

My partner and I are obsessed with this restaurant! We usually get the steak but we venture out here and there and it has never disappointed. The food, the drinks, the service, the location everything about it is easy & enjoyable. The quality of the steaks and the seasoning they use are hard to beat, cannot recommend this place more!

Do yourself a favour and drive a little further to another Mexican restaurant. My partner and I have been to Mexico and let me tell you this is a far cry from traditional. Tres in Seaford or Hola at Karingal. Been to both and they were better. The reviews must be left by friends of the owner? Wanted to try this place as they have empanadas. Empanadas were so full of oil it was running down my arms. Nacho chips tasted like sugar. We couldn't eat them. Homemade tequila in margarita's, my partner and I felt sick all night, we need a detox after that. Saw the manager reprimanding staff right Infront of us. Big regrets. *Update Owner clearly needs help. What an absolute LIAR! We were certainly not looking at our phones the entire time?? We make it a point not to look at our phones at all but to talk to and look at each other particularly as were celebrating our anniversary. I looked at my phone as my partner went to the bathroom, is that what you meant? Very creepy that you were watching me 🤢 We were most certainly not given special treatment INFACT we were ignored most of the time trying to get the waiter and waitresses attention countless times as you were so busy with a large table. We planned to order more but the food was that bad that we couldn't eat it, as you were aware. We saw the other food that went out, we saw disappointed faces. I've now read many other one star reviews. If your food was that good, people wouldn't be leaving negative reviews.

What an excellent experience this was! The food was mouthwatering and delicious. We have found our favorite Mexican spot! If you can handle your spice, definitely try the Spicy Chicken Wings! Can’t wait to go back!!

Absolutely loved our dining experience here! The steak was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the tacos were fresh and packed with delicious fillings, and the nachos were loaded just right. The food is outstanding and unique, it is served with care, flair and attention to detail. They serve a wide range of mouth watering dishes from seafood to various meats, the flavours are delicious and have the intensity of Mexican food, not to mention the staff are very friendly and accommodating.
