Nature & Parks
Caulfield Park is a vast and picturesque outdoor space that features a lake with various waterfowl like ducks and geese. The park boasts of an ample play area, a cricket field, and barbecue facilities for visitors to enjoy. It has plenty of beautiful trees providing shade from the sun while also offering benches and grassy areas for seating. Additionally, there are toilets present on-site as well as playgrounds for children to explore.
Definitely will come back. What a gem! Kids can watch the birds and ducks, look for turtles and other creatures in the pond and have a good play in the playground and ride their scooters around. Lots of shades. There are a few cafes nearby.

One of the biggest and best parks to be at on this side of Melbourne, has full perimeter walk/run track with numerous windy pathways through the beautiful landscaped gardens. Plenty of room here for sports or kids to play around lovely place thats well kept. Follow people like me as we make the effort to show amazing places around the world for you to evaluate
Rob N — Google review
Caulfield Park is a great spot for running with a peaceful, refreshing vibe. The park has a 2.5 km loop that’s flat and perfect for both long runs and easy jogs. Shaded by trees, it stays cool even in the summer, and running by the lake adds a nice scenic touch. While there are plenty of people, the park is spacious enough that it never feels crowded. Early mornings are especially quiet, making it ideal for a calm start to the day. Plus, there are fitness stations and good lighting in the evenings for safe night runs. Overall, it's a convenient and enjoyable place to run.
Ivan L — Google review
Caulfield Park is the jewel of Glen Eira's parks. There's something to get all ages and life stages outdoors. On the western perimeter, there's tram accessibility to shops, cafes and shady formal gardens including a renovated lake and arbour. Mid park sits the bowls and tennis club on the south side, a small accessible car park to service sport pavillions for multiple cricket and soccer ovals. Dog walkers share this space as there's easy street parking alongside.Directly behind on the north side sits the largest of kids playgrounds and bird aviary. On the east side are a few basketball courts frequented by community groups and picnickers. This sprawling metropolis is so huge, there's a 1.5km gravel track surrounding the equivalent of 4 street blocks. 😳 Enjoy a trip to Baker Bleu or Sweethearts whilst you're in the area.
Donna M — Google review
Caulfield Park is Glen Eira's largest park and, understandably, also the most popular. Its design reflects the history of the park, and its diverse array of facilities support its status as a major hub for a plethora of activities within Glen Eira. I love walking around the park and observing the seasons as reflected in the diverse flora and fauna of the park.
Devorah V — Google review
Luscious and leafy Caulfield Park located at - 280 Balaclava Rd, Caulfield North - is somewhat of a partially hidden gem. Walking through it - is a very relaxing experience and one that Johann Wolfgang von Goethe would have enjoyed. It has a bit of everything, including a lot of 100+ year old trees, ponds and lots of ducks to go with it. Walkers and joggers enjoy the 3.7 sand tan track that runs around the perimeter, whilst children love the paths, play areas and nature in the interior. There is an 'official' off leash area for dogs - you read between the lines - let's just say it appears to be quite a dog friendly vibe all round. There is a serious war memorial adorning the three words of - Palestine, Egypt and Gallipoli - built in 1932 - towering out of the Western parkland. This park provides a whacking amount of shade and is refreshingly quiet even though it is surrounded by busy streets. A great spot for that first or second date as well! Grab food and coffees from the neary cafe (of which there are many) - and discover for yourself what makes this park so perfect. - Hamish John Appleby // APPLEBY PHOTOGRAPHY

What a beautiful park! It's like visiting the country what with its pond, ducks water features, bridges, etc etc, so so lovely. Good play area for kids but also fantastically they also have a sensory play area for kids who prefer that environment. Nice place for a meander or a picnic. Just sweet. Go for a stroll.
Sam K — Google review
Lovely, spacious park with lots of beautiful trees. There’s a nice track that goes around the entire park if you would like a longer walk, but plenty of space to sit down (both benches and on the grass) if you’re just here to enjoy some time outdoors. Lots of parking here and there are toilets and playgrounds. Many birds by the lake. Definitely would recommend a visit!

My favourite place to walk. A beautiful park with lots of trees and flowers. Thanks to Glen Eira Council for making it such a great place to visit.
Lynda G — Google review
This is a great local park with lots of established trees and lawns, and lots of shaded areas and many facilities including rotundas, BBQs, water fountain, clean toilets and litter bins. There's also a kids playground, although small, it's pretty good and quite entertaining for the little ones. It's a great park to let your pooch out for a run.

Perfect beautiful little off leash dpg park to do a few laps on. Beautiful trees and plants. Children's play equipment, seated areas , drinking fountain, public restrooms.

Small family park with a nice playground for the kids. There are 4 BarBQ burners too for the summer barbecue and a couple of toilet booths. This park has 2 sections. The upper section is an off leash area for dogs while the lower section is an on leash area. There is a small netball Joop and basketball hoop at the western side of the park that is popular with teens.

Water Parks
Booran Reserve Playground is a popular spot in Melbourne, offering a wide range of activities for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The playground features a multi-level sandpit area, a large climbing structure, swings, a flying fox, mini trampolines, and more. Additionally, the reserve includes clean toilets and ample space for picnics and barbecues. Booran Reserve is also known for its impressive water park with one of the largest splash pads in Melbourne.
Great playground that is able to host any massive celebration and for any occasion. There are fully functioning toilets, water play area for the hotter months. A massive rope climbing course, sandpit area, double flying fox and a seated undercover area with dual electric bbq. You can reserve the bbq for a period of time for a fee which is great for hosting parties and the alike. Basketball half court for the older kids and a half tennis court. Simply a great day out flat Booran Reserve.
Jay C — Google review
Best outdoor playground for kids from all ages. Encourages kids to explore more. Parents should watch the kids all the time especially at the high slides. But, it’s all fun! There’s a water fountain for kids to play. BBQ facility for group event. We can also play tennis on the wall and play basketball.
Erliansyah M — Google review
Not quite Disneyland but possibly more "hands-on" fun. The huge garden and hard surface park which used to be the Caulfied Reservoir - but it has been gentrified (kidified) and turned into an expansive park that is both artistic and fit for physical fitness - the type that kids love. Places for kicking balls, running, swinging, spinning, sliding, climbing, jumping, and chasing. Best of all, the park has a "water" theme (a splash park) - most prominent is the flat pad water fountain area which invites you to run through a maze of water spouts - perfect for a cool Summer! The fountains do have different operational times depending on the Season. Dogs on a leash are okay. There are toilets and bins. The only difficulty was trying to find a spare place to park the car.
I T — Google review
Very nice playground for the little ones, all ages appropriate, with public toilets available. Nice for weekend picnics or bbq.
MIKE H — Google review
Wow, what a playground! My boys loved the climbing! Although there was no water at the sand pit there was plenty behind the BBQ place! We also enjoyed the coffee across the street.
Evelyn S — Google review
Excellent play area, we frequently visit with our kid. Lot of activities for the kids. Water play area is the highlight.
Venkat N — Google review
The main sliding for 7 years and above. But the swing, environment, and the public toilet for women was very clean. If u want to go with toddler better find another parks / playground since the slides here must be climb with robe.

The City hall's gallery, located within Glen Eira City Council Gallery, consistently hosts impressive exhibitions. Numerous visits have been made to this venue and every experience has been thoroughly enjoyable. The facilities are great, offering a spacious ballroom for dancing events along with well-maintained amenities such as restrooms and elevators. Additionally, the wheelchair access is outstanding. Overall, this art gallery provides a remarkable experience for visitors without compromising on quality or convenience.
This gallery within the City hall consistantly holds good exhibitions. We have been to a number here and have enjoyed them all
Bob L — Google review
Caulfield city hall has a nice art gallery. It's free and mostly from amateur / young artists. They have special events every now and then. There is also a library in the back of the building with plenty of carpark spaces at either end. Probably not a type of place were you plan to go and visit solely for the sake of it but if you are in the neighborhood and have some free time on hand is worth paying a visit.
Peter Y — Google review
Surprisingly I got what I was asking for, thankfully I get attended too in a civilised manner as I don't like it when I get attacked by anyone especially when it's staff at my local council.
Chelle S — Google review
Beautiful decor inside. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Andrew L — Google review
A calm place. Went there for watching Moana at Town Hall. Loved the time spent there.
Samina M — Google review
I attended a residents meeting. Plenty of chairs for participants. Pre covid the council held musical programs which were entertaining, good value and well attended. I'm looking forward to the day when they can resume.
Linda T — Google review
Conveniently located on the corner of Glen Eira and Hawthorn Roads in the GE town hall, which you can not miss from a kilometer away with its beautiful white clock tower. Plenty of off road parking is available and small but pleasant well tended gardens are a delight to wander through on your way to the one of the entrances. The gallery is best entered through the grand main entrance on the ground floor, ten steps and you are in this tranquil welcoming art gallery. Greeted with a friendly hello and a smile from one of the charming ladies tending the reception desk one is handed a catalogue and a brief but informative preview of what exhibition is currently being presented. The joy is that this gallery not only has a small resident exhibition but every few weeks a new artist, art group or renown artist is featured as the main presentation for one's delight and enjoyment. I highly recommend the Glen Eira gallery for a family or couples visit in a lovely environment for a couple of hours.
Peter C — Google review
Wow! 3.7 star rating? Not surprised at all. The lady on the phone named Jill was not only unhelpful but very rude at the same time. She should know how to respect and talk to the clients. The voice was breaking up on my end, as she could hear everything clearly, what I was saying(guessed from her prompt muffled reply). When asked something she had huge problem explaining things over again as she was literally yelling. I would hardly recommend not to talk to her, when you try to call. She should definitely learn some customer service etiquettes.

The park offers cute toadstool seating areas and extensive grassed areas for party games. Additionally, it has a function room equipped with kitchen facilities at the Packer Park Pavilion for events.
Great day at the lawn bowls club. Good barbecue area and lawn bowls for a baby shower was a great day out with good weather! Able to have a few drinks only downside toilets are a little walk away!

Packer Park is a brilliant all-rounder park in a bushy setting. Loads of dog off leash and walking, sports and play options. Frog Hollow playground is an awesome place to have kids connect with nature. There's a cricket oval with clubrooms, a boule area in the far corner and a velodrome for cyclists keen to improve their Strava time.
Donna M — Google review
Nice long elevated travel paths for fast toddlers! And good sized slides and lattice climbing ladders, not too big and not too small.

Dog friendly big park with nature, cricket ground, plenty of playground, even a cycle verlodom. Most of the park at off leash. Highly recommend for dog owner and furry friends.

This park has lots of facilities for everyone including your fur baby. It is well lit at night during the week. It has off and on leash areas. Walking paths, wetlands, cycling velodrome, playground, birdie golf cage, outdoor gym, bocce, hit up wall, basketball ring, Bbq, rotunda, cricket training nets and function room. Its wide open spaces provide an ideal setting for picnics and outdoor activities, while a magnificent tree serves as an excellent climbing spot for kids. Really nice park for dog walkers, families and those just out and about enjoying nature. Has lots of space to let dog off lead, kids playground and picnic spot. Lots of street parking.
Sam K — Google review
Went to this park with my 2-year-old and she absolutely loved playing here. All facilities are safe for toddlers and children and shades are well installed.
Hyunae J — Google review
Wifey said “Let’s go for a drive after we had lunch in Bentleigh. “ It was a sunny Saturday and I gave her directions to my spiritual home for Green Time - Halley Park. I first came acquainted with Halley Park when Huge waves of nostalgia oozed through me as sentimental memories returned. Practicing Tai Chi in bare feet on the grass in 2012. The sound of the birds singing Families laughing enjoying the Children’s Playground Parties in the Rotunda Area that were booked through The City Of Glen Eira The magical smell of the Flower Gardens near Jasper Road. Locals walking their dogs The time I found a pram in Halley Park – it reminded me of The Squid Game when dating People exercising their dogs. In the apartment I lived I couldn’t have a pet such as Cat or a Dog. It wouldn’t have been fair on them. Incidentally Dog Hour is around 4 pm at most public parks. Halley Park became really important to me during Melbourne Lockdowns once people could have a picnic for 2 people. I would have a BBQ breakfast near the Rotunda meeting the local joggers and people walking their dog connecting with other humans for a few moments socializing and learning what was important in their lives. It made life more bearable. There are public toilets, public barbeques and shelter from the elements down there. Plenty of parking on the surrounding streets with some shade provided by trees. There’s a number of Rubbish Bins. Wifey and myself spent 90 minutes there reminiscing on a seat enjoying the tree smells and observing other people enjoying the great facilities that are available at Halley Park. We munched on Roast Almond Chocolate, photographed some birds in the trees and remembered one of our first dates there about four years ago. I was the person wearing very colorful tops writing in the park in the Rotunda Area a few years ago . I met lots of locals when I lived in Moorabbin. This one is for letting you know I’m still alive even if you haven’t seen me for a while. It was great to revisit Halley Park last weekend and know the memories just keep getting better with new people in the community making their own special memories of Halley Park. Sometimes, it’s nice to return to those Happy Places for a short while.

This would have to be one of the most visually beautiful parks in Melbourne. Always very clean and bbqs always clean too and ready for use. Lots of bins to put your rubbish in and taps and water bowls for doggies. Great big playground for kids, dog friendly, great for a nice relaxing atmosphere. The park almost has a relaxing, healing energy about it. Would highly recommend this park to families couples, and doggies. It's a huge park, with many sections if u want quiet, meditation or relaxing time to yourself.

Very well-maintained, dog-friendly reserve with multiple facilities including a football oval (off-leash area for dogs) & club rooms, tennis courts, walking paths, a playground, water stations, public toilets and a large grassed area (dogs on-lead only) on the far side of the reserve. There is a carpark located near the oval at the back of the Bowls Club, which can be accessed from Centre Rd, as well as free street parking around the perimeter of the reserve (some parking restrictions along sections of some streets apply so best to be vigilant when parking). Plenty of trees within the reserve for shade as well as several park benches around the perimeter of the reserve. Several garbage reciprocals are also located within the reserve.

Nice place to go and walk your dog and let your children play at the playground. The playground is on the outer area of a large open space that is a dog off leash zone (playground and nearby path is dog on leash). A foot path circles the open space area for those wishing to get their step count up. There are a couple of public toilets and a basketball court for those brave enough to attempt 3 pointers in public. The area is lit during week nights only.

Nice little park in Elsternwick, not too far from the town centre. Great for taking your dog for a quick walk on-leash (there's little off-leash area and fairly close to the road, but you can at certain times we think). A nice children's playground at one side, and a few signposts with some interesting information. Great when the flowers and trees are blooming.

Recently took my friend’s dog, Rosie, for a walk in Hopetoun Gardens, and it was such a pleasant experience. The park is beautifully maintained, with well-manicured gardens and clean pathways, making it a truly inviting space. The cascading trees provide plenty of shade, and the rotunda with seating is a perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. The playground is well-designed and a great size for kids, and the intersecting pathways make it easy to explore the park. It’s also in a convenient location—an easy walk from the main road, with tram access nearby. The homes surrounding the gardens are very lucky to have such a picturesque space in their view! While the park has clear signage about keeping dogs on a leash, it was disappointing to see some owners not following the rules. As always, picking up after pets and respecting the rules helps keep our parks clean and enjoyable for everyone. Overall, Hopetoun Gardens is a wonderful spot for a walk or a family outing. Highly recommend! I’ll definitely visit again.

I enjoy my short walks in Hopetoun Gardens. I go early in the morning when we are permitted to let our dogs off-leash. It's well maintained by Glen Eira council with a formal garden, a band stand and plenty of benches and picnic tables. The beautiful old trees are well signed so its educational too. Look out for the cork tree and the turpentine tree. Would be good to have an off-leash time in the evenings too.

Gorgeous little park, perfect for picnics and a day out with family and friends. Very close to local cafes and shops.
Issy D — Google review
Great little park featuring some truly amazing trees (including a cork tree, a huge oak, and a massive South African Cape bush willow. Each tree has an identifying plate. If kids are your thing, there’s a playground and if dogs are your thing then they’re allowed off leash between 6 - 9 in the morning. Take a moment to read the plaque and learn a little about the cannons at the entrance which have been there since 1910!
Mark S — Google review
A pleasant shady park to relax in on a warm day. However the playground was average I suppose depending on the age of the kids, okay for the very young ones. The toilets were out of order and despite the sign saying they hope to have up and running soon, the sign looked aged.

Great for my 18month old being able to run around on the bridges. It would be nice for it to be updated as there is a lot of wear and tear that needs fixing and just generally aged.

Great variety for the kids to play. There's an oval nearby if you want to have a kick, and some pleasant bushland with a path close by if you want to enjoy a relaxing walk.

A beautiful and peaceful spot for a picnic! The low crowds make it worth paying for a memorial picnic if you plan to spend more than a couple of hours here. Please note that a separate ticket is required to visit the mansion, in addition to the entry fee. There’s a guided tour available approximately every hour. The estate is well-maintained, with several charming bridges crossing the lake, offering unique views. If you're up for a little adventure, there’s also a viewpoint accessible via a short climb.

Impressive place. Some interesting history. Highly recommend the mansion your. However you don't get to see all the rooms and no access to the tower. Nice place for a picnic. Cafe is very limited so byo food and drink.
Mike G — Google review
The mansion is very beautiful and well preserved. The tour was just a small group of 10-15 people so it’s not overcrowded. The tour guide who is a local is very informative of the estate and its surroundings’ history. You can also explore the garden and grounds after the tour. The garden tour was $15pp and for an additional $10pp, you get to have a guided tour inside the mansion as well.

The venue’s versatility is a dream - whether couples are after a romantic garden ceremony, a sophisticated outdoor reception, or an intimate dinner inside the mansion, Rippon Lea can bring it all to life. Beyond the beauty of the estate itself, the team is a true standout. They are professional, accommodating, and deeply experienced when it comes to hosting seamless, high-end events. Their attention to detail and collaborative approach make the planning and execution process smooth from start to finish, which is so important from a stylist's perspective. Sea Kayak Australia, founded in 1994 and based in Melbourne, offers sea kayak tours along the Australian coastline. The company provides professional guidance and equipment for beginners to enjoy the experience. One of their popular tours is the twilight city tour, where participants can witness a beautiful sunset from the river while kayaking for about two hours. The tour takes paddlers under various bridges and allows them to enjoy the city lights glowing in the twilight and dark.
I took part in a Twilight guided kayak tour of Melbourne’s Yarra River with this company … and it was one of the highlights of my time in Melbourne. I can’t recommend it highly enough. The guides were knowledgeable and kind and gave us a fantastic briefing before we set off. The city lights on the water were magical. Thanks for a fantastic tour.

I joined the Phillip Island kayak tour on Saturday and it was MAGICAL! We had ripper sunny weather and just a gentle touch of swell. Saw lots of birds and two seals. Rohan and Adam did an excellent job teaching the group kayak skills and keeping us all happy and safe, you couldn't find better tour guides. Easy booking process, good quality equipment, and a focus on participants' safety. Friendly service and lots of fun!
Kate W — Google review
We had our first Sea Kayaking experience on Sunday 2 March, it was so much fun. The guides were great, Rohan and RJ checked in with us all every step of the way. On the way back the wind got up a little more than expected so we did actual sea kayaking which was so much fun. Lunch was perfect, a picnic on the beach, all our gear was well maintained and instructions very clear.

Want to see Melbourne from a completely different experience? I recommend you the Sea Kayak Sunset during sunset. It was a fun, unforgettable, and exciting adventure in the middle of the city. We were lucky to have a cool guide (Dane) that shared his knowledge about the city and maybe the experience super easy. 100% recommended!
Juan C — Google review
This experience was amazing; Exceeded every expectation. We had 6 people go, the youngest being 13. The safety talk and instructions at the beginning meant we all new what to do and had a great time. We went in the evening session and the views were breathtaking. We will be doing this again next time we’re in Melbourne.
Amy W — Google review
Rohan and team are very professional at kayaking and with 15 mins of instructions we were able to do the entire tour with ease. Till now you have seen sunset from sides of Southbank and south wharf, but in this kayak you’ll witness it from the river. It’s a beautiful scene. You’ll see the best sunset. You must be strong enough to row the kayak for 2 hours because it does take some strength. Do some arm exercises before you go for kayaking For this tour: Carry extra pair of clothes because you’ll get wet 100% or maybe wear snow pants so that you don’t feel cold when your denim gets wet - trust me it’ll happen the minute you’re in water. Carry some small packets of protein bars or snacks. Half way through the tour some chocolates and hot chocolate is served as well. The activity could get affected by rise in water level in Yarra river or bad weather. Organisers will let you know well in advance if they’re going ahead with the schedule or not.

Karkarook Park is such a lovely place for an evening walk. The trails by the water are so calming, and the whole area just feels peaceful. If you're lucky, you might catch a gorgeous sunset reflecting off the lake.

A wonderful treasure for Melbourne. Its propagation of rare grasses and flora, once abundant throughout metropolitan Melbourne, is something extraordinary to experience. Extensive tracks for all kinds of exercise surrounded by extensive bushland and wetlands. Great place for children with bikes to feel free and unfettered.
Pod G — Google review
Karkarook Park is very big with large areas of water, lakes, ponds and wetlands. You can jog, walk dogs, picnic, sunbathe, cycle, do sports, go fishing, fly kites, read under the shade, watch birds and fish (but don’t feed them), have gatherings with families and friends, bring your kids and do many things. There are BBQ facilities, tables, benches, a playground, public toilet, watching bridges, large area of grass and trees. Watch out for other people if you cycle on the walking tracks because young kids are easily hit. Walk with your bikes if crowded. There are usually many people on weekends but you will find your personal space in this awesome park. Some small walking trails are hidden with thorns, bird and dogs’ poo, slippery and can trip you to the nearby water easily, so be careful. Experienced hikers like them. You can reach the park by public transit, bus 903 for example.

Great park, perfect to bring children or just go for a walk. There’s plenty of places for children to play and have picnics. It’s a beautiful place to walk around and admire the water and birdlife. There’s plenty of amenities such as shaded picnic table areas and toilets. The parking can get full very fast in peak times but you can always park at the Bunnings that’s not too far away.

Karkarook Park in Heatherton is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with lush greenery, wide open spaces, and stunning lake views that make it feel like a peaceful escape from the city. The walking and cycling paths are well-maintained and perfect for a leisurely stroll, a jog, or a family bike ride. There are plenty of picnic spots with shady trees, making it ideal for a relaxing afternoon with friends or family. The playgrounds are fantastic for kids, and the lake attracts so much wildlife, adding a real sense of nature and tranquility. Whether you’re into birdwatching, exercising, or just soaking up the scenery, Karkarook Park has it all. Harleston Park, located at 40 Allison Road in Elsternwick, is a beautiful playground that offers traditional play equipment and water play in the stream. The park provides plenty of natural shade, toilets, and space for picnics. Families can enjoy the hilly landscape that adds an element of adventure for kids to explore.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Harleston Park in Elsternwick, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by all it has to offer. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that this park has been thoughtfully designed with families and community enjoyment in mind. One of the highlights for me was the hilly landscape. This added an element of interest and adventure, making it perfect for families and kids to explore. The park features a wide range of amenities, including playground equipment, a rotunda for gatherings and parties, and even a half-size basketball court for those looking to stay active. I particularly appreciated the running creek, which provided a refreshing respite from the summer heat. The mature trees throughout the park offer ample shade and picturesque sitting areas, creating a tranquil environment for relaxation and enjoyment. But what truly stood out to me was the variety of engaging playground equipment available. From interactive features like the metal horn to sandy play areas for younger children, Harleston Park offers something for kids of all ages. It's evident that careful consideration went into every aspect of the park's design, resulting in a space that encourages exploration, creativity, and fun. Overall, my experience at Harleston Park was exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-rounded and enjoyable outdoor experience.

The Booran Reserve provides a great place for people to relax and play. Families with kids looking for an awesome place where their children can play with great playground equipment such as slides, swings, roped climbing structures and a running stream of water that young and old alike will definitely find entertaining - bring spare clothes for your young ones! The reserve also has lots of space to hold parties. There are tables with benches around plus bbq facilities. It is also good that the council has put in toilet facilities for guests to use - I think this should be a standard for reserves especially when you have kids who want to make a toilet run. Bring with you your basketball, your mates and have a good pick-up game of basketball because this reserve has a half-court! Parking can be a bit crowded on a good day which is understandable given how beautifully made this reserve is. But street parking around the area is good and a good short walk won't hurt anyone.

Koornang Park is a fantastic local park and community space. However, there are some areas where the council could improve, such as refilling the doggy bags and adding more recycling bins and general bins. Despite these issues, it is still a reasonable dog park with both on and off-leash areas and plenty of room for dogs to run. The public baths are currently closed, but the main playground is always busy with happy children enjoying the equipment when other activities aren't available.
Nice and well maintained park both for kids and adults. Also, to host parties 🥳 it's nice.

Home of the world famous Southside East Caulfield Cricket Club that's stronger than ever after 50+ years. Ground is often in good condition for Cricket but is way over used by the Irish Sporting teams for training. The playing surface has visibility deteriorated whilst they have been active. The ground is not meant to be subject to such heavy all year round usage. Even in the Millennium drought of 1997 to 2010 the ground was in better condition than current.

We love this playground. It’s neatly design. Shades sitting area, a lot of greenery, there’s large park great for a jog or just to run around and there’s small slides for smaller babies. For more playground & park pictures & reviews please head to my instagram @winalestari

LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Melbourne is a vibrant and imaginative destination for families, featuring an array of Lego-themed rides, interactive building zones, and kids' play areas. Located within the expansive Chadstone shopping center, it offers a multi-level experience filled with creative workshops where children can craft their own Lego creations to take home. Visitors can also enjoy attractions like the Kingdom Quest laser ride, Merlins Apprentice ride, and immersive 4D Cinema showcasing popular films such as The Lego Movie.
It's a great place for kids to visit. Although the ticket price is a bit high. You can save money by buying tickets in advance and either bringing your own food or eating at the shopping centre food court. The cafeteria at Legoland is way too expensive. Has a nice gift shop where you can buy Lego kits. The 3D cinema is really cool but be prepared to get sprayed with water. There are more activities to do than you can fit in 3 hours. Try going during the week as it's super busy on the weekends.

Nice place enjoyed and freedom to be a lego geek. We spent 4 hrs here.i was tired but dev wasn't. Love the 4 D movie but hate the water effect. Hot dog was the meal tomatoes sauce was sourced but dev liked it and the bun awesome. Nice set of act for kids . Must to see

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Experience at LEGOLAND! LEGOLAND is an absolute dream come true for both kids and adults! The park is beautifully designed, clean, and full of fun attractions that keep everyone entertained all day long. The creativity and detail in every display are simply incredible — it truly feels like stepping into a world made of LEGO bricks. The rides are perfect for families, with a great mix of excitement and safety. The staff are friendly, patient, and always happy to help, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The 4D cinema, mini cities, and interactive building zones were huge hits with the kids. Food options were great too, with plenty of variety and reasonable prices. Overall, LEGOLAND is a place full of smiles, imagination, and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend it for a fun family day out!

Great place for kids to play, we went on a time that’s not quite busy. So my little one was able to go on the ride many many times, she absolutely enjoyed it and the staff didn’t get upset 🤭 They were happy to operate even when she is the only one on the ride. The day we went there that the 4D cinema was not working, however the staff organise face painting instead. We were very happy and had a great time, even participated in the lego workshop too!!! I would think this would also be a great place for birthday parties.
Happlee G — Google review
I went to the most recent 'adults night' and it was fantastic. The whole discovery centre was wonderful with rides, plenty of spots to sit and build, and even a stop motion Lego room. It is unfortunate that adults can't attend at anytime because I would definitely be there more often if I could. Highly recommend the visit though and adults night is a wonderful way to let out your inner child!!
Daisy-May C — Google review
Went on a Wednesday after lunch. not too busy. Enjoyed the mediaeval shooter ride, though my kid was too scared for the wizard ride, and not interested in the 4D movies. Plenty of building activities and features for the kids. 2 soft play areas. And a cafe, but that closed at 3pm. I'd say it's comparable to a play centre with added rides and activities, which makes the ticket price worth it. LEGO shop is full priced though. So might be risky if your kids are inclined to beg for toys at the shops. Mini LEGO Melbourne was amazing to look at! So many little Easter eggs. Liked the free passport and stamps!

Wow what a nice park. Expansive ovals and playgrounds backing onto bowls club and tennis courts. Playgrounds under shade of trees, commemorative garden and plenty of off-leash areas for dogs. Grass is looking a little dry after the hot summer, but very impressed with the park

Good park for the dogs except its not fully fenced off from the road. There is on the footy field but you're not allowed to have them off the leash in there???. Where I'm from a Dog park is fully fenced so they don't run on the road. Overall though its quite big and nice place to take them.

Additionally, the area boasts the Bentleigh East Skatepark and the Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC), which includes water slides, a gym, and wellness facilities.
My daughter celebrated her birthday here last Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised that it was very organised. I appreciate that the staff explained to me the program before the party started and it was well adhered to. All the kids were so happy and didn't want to stop playing until closing time. I ordered 2 platters for the adults and it was more than enough for 16 of us - not bad for the price. Last night my daughter said she couldn't sleep because she still thinks about all the fun things that happened during her party. Thank you so much to all the lovely staff at Lollipop's. ♥️

Great place to bring the kids! Free for adults to get in but charge for kids. Kids shoes off so socks a must but if forget them can buy here, $3 pair. Hot and cold food available (chips, chicken wraps, nachos, sandwiches, nuggets, cocktail franks, muffins and icecreams) while also hot and cold drinks and the coffee was fine (decaf soy latte, skinny mocha). Also have a room where you can Build-a-Bear. Centre has play area just for the 3 and unders and a car ride. Also climbing wall but only for those over 5. I'm way past 5 but I wouldn't try it! And of course you can hold your child's birthday here. They also had an Arts and Crafts table set up with cut outs to do. 5.2 back again and yes great playcentre for kids parties and if wet. Venue opens at 9am yet at 10.30 paper towel dispenser empty, hand soap dispenser nearly empty, no $2 coins in till which are the only coins accepted in toy dispensers, so frustrating - and don't get me started on claw machine. Has any kid ever won a prize using these? Also the emergency fire exit door was padlocked. 11.4.23 there early about 10ish so nice and quiet but full by 11 with 500 kids lining up for car ride (OK exaggeration). Also still hiring. 29.3.24 there on Good Friday, fantastic was open!
Sam K — Google review
The only saving grace is the delightful staff, surprisingly decent coffee and the smaller toddler area...otherwise this is run-of-the-miss play Cafe with tired, broken equipment, and empty ball-pit and overcrowded play areas. The weirdest thing was the children's toilets which had a clear class door and no doors in the cubicles..so anyone standing outside has full view of young children using the toilets.
Amy R — Google review
Had a good experience. We celebrated 6th birthday of our son here. Very supportive staff. Kids really enjoyed a lot. They have quite a good variety of meal options for adults too.
Ketan B — Google review
I've never been a fan of play centres as a neuro-divergent individual, though after visiting Rainbow Town not too far from here my mind was changed. Lollipop's and pretty much every other play centre is loud with no quiet spaces available, filthy with bits of food and spills on the ground and play equipment, staff weren't even at the front desk when we entered. The staff in general seem deeply unhappy about working here. There are hiring signs up, though I'd recommend finding somewhere a little better managed and maintained (and cleaned) if you really want to work in a play centre. The vacant tables are also all covered in food and rubbish, like the floors and every other surface. For any health-conscious or plant-based people, the only item on the menu is hot chips. Everything else is the usual fried or packaged 90s tuck shop stuff. For reference Rainbow Town has a full Asian menu including fresh greens and veggies. I would have taken more pictures, but I'm not going to photograph kids I don't know and put them online. I recommend Rainbow Town.
Maxine W — Google review
Smaller centre than those of most of its competitors, which for families with younger children is quite beneficial. Older children may get bored after a while. The periodic car rides are awesome, particularly as it's free! This slightly (okay not really!) makes up for the high entry costs. I say high, as although they're similar to other play centres, this centre is smaller, has a lot less equipment AND most of the equipment in the ball pit area does not work (the suction tubes, etc). The centre really needs to fix and upgrade its play spaces to justify the entry prices.
Holly M — Google review
Lollipops Playland is to parents what the sun is to the moon, exactly what is needed. They have great equipment for children of all ages and create a wonderful social atmosphere where the children can interact with each other to learn strong social skills. The cafe is great with pricing that is not ridiculous. There has been a great deal of resources, time, money and effort. It also gives mum or dad to enjoy a coffee while the kids are entertained.

Heritage museum
Labassa Mansion, located in Caulfield North, is a stunning National Trust mansion and museum that was built in 1862. It has been home to over 700 residents over a period of 130 years, making it a testament to the opulence and grandeur of the 19th century. The mansion's striking architectural details and rich history make it a must-visit attraction for those interested in Melbourne's development.
Reservations are welcomed but need to be made in advance to see this historical ornate architecture. One of the oldest buildings in the area it is a must to see what grandeur was back in the day
Rob N — Google review
Splendiferous! What took me so long to get here?? Continuously occupied from 1863 to relatively recent times as subdivided flats. Story of splendour to disrepair & restoration. From Melb's gold rush wealthy, well heeled occupants to WW refugees, migrants to arty, musical, bohemian psychedelics & students. All have left their indelible mark in this stately home. Fortuitously acquired by National Trust in 1980 & now partially restored. Reflects the heritage & history in this context. Uniquely Melb's heritage - then a far flung remote outpost as a fledgling colony where exquisite & fine materials were shipped enduring long & precarious voyage. Melb's early settlement did however have skilled builders & craftsmen to create such lavish grandeur. This is one of Nat Trust premier properties that has volunteers aplenty thankfully. Join the guided tours on the open days (3rd Sun of mth) - pre-booking advised via Nat Trust website. No parking onsite or on street but free parking in nearby streets or take public transport. Tearoom is excellent but not the antiquated toilet (gross!). Definitely do the Tower climb tour for the stunning views. Need a few hours take it in all properly. Tours are run for different parts of this stately home. While volunteer guides do a great job - some are inaudible for larger groups esp when doing the outside building tour. As for the rest - will let the attached pics elaborate the magnificent details - exterior mottled pink marble inset & Hellenistic figureheads facade, uniquely curved original glass windows, ornate ceiling cornices & paintings, gilded wallpaper, grand staircase, rooms & everything in between✨️ ✨️✨️

A beautiful place to visit on the last Sunday of the month. Great tours offered by the trust. Membership is good value.

Tours are by reservation only, so I recommend buying tickets onlain. This mansion impresses with its luxury and history. Very beautiful both inside and outside. We took the excursion, it was quite interesting, but I do not recommend going on an excursion with children under 5 years old because they are bored. We booked tickets for 3:30 and after the tour we almost didn’t have time to see everything😏 I don’t advise highly sensitive and emotional people to visit this place because the energy in the house is heavy and it was not easy for me to recover, severe headaches began, I lost my appetite, I was shaking a lot, and this happened after visiting the mansion, and the next day everything disappeared.
Sena L — Google review
A fabulous property located in Caulfield, Lavassa Mansion is one of many historical properties managed by the National Trust. The House is beautifully kept and is often used as a set for TV and film. Easy to spend a good couple of hours exploring the home and hearing the stories of the previous owners from the talented volunteers.

Labassa Mansion in Melbourne is a striking piece of architectural history, an ode to opulence and grandeur. This beautifully preserved mansion, complete with its intricate period interiors and stunning ornate ceiling, immediately transports visitors back to the 19th century. The rich history of Labassa is felt in every corner, and the knowledgeable guides ensure the stories of past residents come to life. The surrounding gardens are well-kept, offering a perfect backdrop for the imposing structure. However, limited opening times may not suit all schedules. Overall, Labassa is a must-visit for history buffs and architectural enthusiasts visiting Melbourne.

We absolutely loved our experience with Winery Day Tours. Communication was always prompt and clear, and no change or question from us was too complicated. We felt confident every step of the way that our day would be a success. My only feedback would be that too much time was spent at the lunch location with not enough time at the final winery destination, but I feel this can be managed and improved in our next tour we book with the team.

Its meticulously maintained 18-hole championship course features pristine fairways, formidable obstacles, and serene native trees that contribute to a tranquil ambiance. 5 guys from Perth on a golfing holiday and this exceptional golf complex was our favourite. The staff in the pro shop were so attentive and helpful and a credit to the club. The practice facilities were exceptional and (apart from the wind howling) the course was difficult but most enjoyable. To end our day, the restaurant facilities matched everything else we found at this great club. We would definitely recommend and revisit when the opportunity arises.
Ray G — Google review
Commonwealth golf club, is one of the many wonderful and great golf courses on the Melbourne sandbelt. This is an exclusive member's only golf course, there are a few ways to be able to get a game there, one you will need to know a member or there is a golf event arranged by a 3rd party at the venue. I was invited by my friend who is been a long member, a member guest competition day. It was overwhelming driving in, everything was just so well maintained and just was very pleasing to the eye. The course was just awesome. As can be seen by the pictures. The staff at the pro shop were friendly and great to chat to and find out information on golf products or course knowledge. Practice facility is top knotch. Golf course magnificent. The golf course plays difficult as it is a tight treelined layout. Also beware if you land in the bunker on the full the ball will plug, have fun getting it back in play 🤣😂🤣. The fairways make it, no excuse not to flush the ball. The biggest challenge I found is on the greens. With very subtle breaks, smooth roll and fast. Your game on the greens will make or break your game. It is well worth it, if you get a chance to play on this beautiful golf course.
Xiem H — Google review
Great challenge on sand belt and made more so with 50kph winds on the day. Fantastic facilities, layout and course.
Ian S — Google review
Nice course. 100 years old. Established trees and typical Sandbelt design. Greens are little tricky because if u get from the wrong side, it will always move u away from the hole. I have a bit of challenge about no snacks and drinks in between. Also, no buggies !!!! I took away one star because of that.
K W — Google review
Such friendly and welcoming members and staff. The course is in fantastic condition, and the renovations to the greens and layout will make it a first- class golf course. Each round is a pleasure to play, irrespective of how many strokes I have taken!

From the Flinders Ranges to the Tasmanian Peninsula, hikers can enjoy stunning coastal views and diverse landscapes while being accommodated in comfortable lodgings and provided with delicious meals.
Absolutely loved every moment of our five-day self-guided Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk. The primordial richness of the rainforest was truly a feast for all the senses, enveloping us within it. We had some lovely, moody, broody weather with winds high up in the canopy, and it added tremendously to the experience. We really appreciated Auswalk's contextual notes that helped us learn more about our surroundings along the way. A shower, beer, lovely dinner, and comfy accommodations at the end of each day's walk was something to look forward to after each day's adventure. The view from the jetted tub at Binna Burra Sky Lodge was a fantastic treat!

Highly recommend these guys. Ian and the team helped me last minute book the costal route for The Camino De Santiago Portuguese route. Organised my bag transfers, hotels with breakfast included all for a really reasonable price. They deserve 10 stars.

We did the Tour de Mont Blanc in Comfort. Every day was interesting and spectacular. Special thanks to our guide Baptiste, who was excellent. The route was challenging but achievable for a group of walkers in their 50's, 60's and 70's. Accommodation was authentic and comfortable. I highly recommend Auswalk.

New Zealand's Abel Tasman Self Guided walk was our second self guided experience with Auswalk. We cannot fault the organisation and accommodation. The tips and suggestions (eg. recommendations for treating drinking water and the reasons why, safety tips etc) add confidence and perspective. The track notes are excellent, and the estimated walking times were accurate. It's so nice to return to comfortable accommodation. The provided trail food was of an excellent standard, and there was plenty of it.

We recently walked the Cape to Cape highlights walk in WA. The walk was beautiful and Auswalk were very organised. On the whole, the walks were long (20 to 25km) and reasonably difficult due to long stretches of sand, which the materials warned of, but the sand was extremely challenging! There were a few options for shortening walks offered. The accomodation was good and we enjoyed the meals offsite particularly breakfast at the White Elephant in Gnarabup overlooking the water and dinner at La Scarpetta in Margaret River. The food provided for the walks was good amd plentiful with the exception of the lunch provided by the Caves Hotel. We had some late changes of arrangements due to family issues and Auswalk were sympathetic and very helpful. Overall we had a great time. We would recommend Auswalk for sure.

Fabulous 5-days of walking on K'Gari Island (formerly known as Fraser Island). Varied terrain on a special Island, with super accommodation, food, and transfers, plus detailed information for us as a self-guided group.

Recently completed the self guided 6 day Queen Charlotte track in New Zealand. A fabulous walk with stunning scenery. Our first time with Auswalk. All communications were easy and with prompt responses. All of the arrangements worked perfectly. Great support provided by Auswalks with detailed information in hard copy including a map and an excellent app containing all required information. Great accomodation and yummy food each night. Thankyou for a memorable trip. Highly recommend Auswalks.

Fantastic 5 days self guided on the Great Ocean Walk. Col and Vanessa from Apollo taxi (daily transfers) were great and very accommodating. Apollo Bay accommodation very central and walking distance to variety of food establishments. The accommodation at Castle Cove on the sheep farm was much more than we expected. Very roomy, relaxing and peaceful with lovely views. The food provided for us there by Shane and Jodi from the Chi Medicinal farm was absolutely amazing and bountiful. We had lovely weather our entire stay and the walk was rewarding every time we had views of the stunning ocean, cliffs and coastline. We would class it as a moderate walk, no days over 6hrs, no walking poles needed and can easily do it in good trail runners if prefer as not carrying much in your day pack. Highly recommend Auswalk.

Greenmeadows Gardens, nestled within the original Greenmeadows Estate, is a historic park in Glen Eira. The gardens offer two short walks showcasing period homes along Lempriere Avenue and diverse plant species. It's a culturally rich and ethnically diverse area that attracts families with children and dogs for friendly gatherings. This quiet spot, once part of an old cow paddock, features a small playground, picnic areas, and an impressive old gum tree.
Open place to have some activities for your kids and family.

A gem hidden away from the main Glen Eira road. As a new resident to the area I step into the gardens and find myself carried away culturally and ethnically. There's a real vibe to this well organised place located between Ripponlea and the fringe of St Kilda East filled with joy, where families with children and dogs come together in friendly company, laughter and conversation.
AKJ — Google review
A Park that is wedged behind houses on all sides. Quite a nice quiet spot most days, but can be crowded on weekends with locals. The park land has a history when it used to be part of a cow paddock for an old estate. There's a small playground, toilet and picnic areas. My favourite thing is the very large old gum tree, that I can only assume is pre colonial.
Cartoonrob — Google review
A little gem in suburban St Kilda East with a mixture of native and European flora. The trees are well established and there's a playground down one end. It can get quite busy on the weekends,

McKinnon Reserve Dog Off Leash Area is a delightful spot nestled within Caulfield Park, where furry friends can roam freely across a spacious former sports oval. This vibrant area attracts a friendly crowd of dog owners and their pets, making it an ideal place for socialization. While dogs must be leashed near barbecues, playgrounds, and during events, the open space allows for plenty of running and playing.
Nice place to let your dog out for a run or play with other dogs.

A good dog park in the form of an old sports oval that is now dedicated off leash park, There is always a few people walking their dogs which is nice. There is curently no water for the dogs, which is odd. Maybe the upgrade tjays underway has water in the plan.

Good location. Well fenced dog run area. It's a bit dark around the place at night, some additional lighting either motion or timer activated would allow the place to be utilised after sunset.

The Melbourne Holocaust Museum, also known as the Jewish Holocaust Centre (JHC), was established in 1984 by Holocaust survivors with a mission to commemorate the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis. The museum features artifacts that deepen understanding of this tragic period in history and hosts the Everybody Had a Name exhibition, offering an opportunity to gain insight into the horror endured during WWII. Visitors are moved by hearing personal stories from survivors like Ivan and paying respects to the victims and their legacies.
The staff do an amazing job, very well informed and very welcoming. This was a real eye opener, I will definitely be going back to see any new exhibitions

The Jewish Holocaust Centre (JHC) (formerly known as the Jewish Holocaust Museum and Research Centre) was founded in Elsternwick, Melbourne, Australia, in 1984 by Holocaust survivors. Its mission is to commemorate the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis between 1933 and 1945. The centre was founded without significant public or private funds and thus has always had to rely on support from Holocaust survivors, their relatives, volunteers and philanthropists. It is thanks to the unique contribution of Melbourne's Holocaust survivors that the JHC has become a vibrant institution. The Centre contains a specialist Holocaust library, a collection of over 1300 survivor video testimonials as well as thousands of original documents, photos, artworks and objects from the Holocaust period. Jewish Holocaust Centre The purpose of the JHC is to fight racism and to encourage harmony within the community. It attempts to reach these goals by providing information about the Holocaust through its permanent exhibition and periodic temporary exhibitions. The main focus lies on the younger generation, and over 21,000 students visit the museum every year and participate in a powerful education program. In 2011 the museum was the recipient of the MAGNA Best Small Museum award by Museums Australia, following a redesign of the permanent exhibition. Apart from guided tours through the museum, which are often led by Holocaust survivors, the JHC offers adult education programs, teacher training and also hosts lectures which are open to the public. Furthermore, the JHC provides assistance for Holocaust Survivors in cooperation with JewishCare, a Jewish welfare organization.
Robiul K — Google review

Caulfield Racecourse, located in Melbourne, is a popular destination for horse racing enthusiasts and visitors. The spacious off-lead park features a lake, play areas, and sporting facilities. There are rumors of it becoming an on-leash park in the future, but for now, it's a completely fenced-off gem where you can enjoy with your pup. Additionally, the racecourse hosts a monthly market with food stalls, fresh produce, and various other vendors.
We had a fantastic time at Elmo’s Circus at Caulfield Racecourse! The kids were completely captivated from start to finish — especially during the thrilling motorbike act inside the Globe of Death! 🎪 There were also classic carnival rides, hot food, and fun games — all reasonably priced, which was a pleasant surprise. A great day out for families with little ones. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an entertaining outing these school holidays!

We went for the Drone Show. The show itself was nice but the logistics and operations were poorly planned. There was a massive traffic jam. The organisers wanted us to go to Car Park 9 , and because it is winter and gets dark early, the gate number wasn't visible and there were no markers to assist. The food stalls were crowded. Long Q's.

Victory Park is a vibrant and well-maintained multi-use space that caters to a variety of activities for everyone. With its expansive sporting ovals, it’s perfect for soccer in the winter and cricket during the summer months. Families can enjoy the children's playground, while dog owners appreciate the open areas where their furry friends can roam—though it's worth noting that not all pet owners are diligent about cleaning up after their dogs.
This park has everything, sporting ovals, space for dogs, kids playground, picnic tables, bathrooms, lots of off street parking and a Scout Hall. When I was walking around one little dog kept running up to me and barking and I wasn't sure if it wanted to bite me or what, owner said dog just likes talking, yeh that's fine with adults but dogs like that shouldn't go up to people in a threatening way particularly when another dog kept coming up to me wagging it's tail, the complete opposite. I guess it comes down to the owners.

Still lovely, but sadly the current trust seem to be very anti dogs. The 2nd dam where the dogs could cool off now fenced off and a murky cement puddle, with no off flow, and too small provided with a fancy signboard which probably cost more then the dog play area. No shade, minimal wayer. But you can still walk the outside track and centre area . Good parking, but not what it used to be .

Be VERY careful taking your dogs here. Although it is a great place for a walk with lots of space, it also attracts all the uncontrollable dogs. Within 3 visits, both my dogs had altercations with untrained, aggressive dogs. My spoodle was attacked by 2 off-leash, uncontrollable rottweilers and was left with puncture wounds. The owner did not apologise but said "that's just how they play". My kelpie puppy was also chased away by 2 uncontrollable bully breed dogs, with complete disregard from the owners.

As a globally collaborative, research-oriented art museum, it stands as one of Melbourne's premier institutions in the field. MUMA benefits from a highly competent and scholarly internal curatorial team supported by both MADA and the Monash art foundation. The exhibition space possesses a unique charm, attracting an enthusiastic community of alternative-minded intellectuals.
Exhibit space like a diamond in the rough. Great group of following hippie academics.

Wow... so brave. The first two empty rooms, are a little ostentatious yet also breathtaking in the simplicity, but once you get into the third room (also empty except for the hoody resting on a water cooler)... that's where the magic happens. The Monash University Museum of Art is just a great place to spend 30 to 40 seconds. I give it one star... purely to keep with the minimalist theme.

SHAME ON YOU FOR CANCELING (I'LL EAT MY HAT IF IT IS, AS YOU SAY, ONLY POSTPONED) KHALED SABSABI'S EXHIBITION. AND YES, I'M SHOUTING.

I can’t stop thinking about my great visit to the museum—the quality was exceptional. Each room was curated to highlight surprising and meaningful connections. Staff were friendly hosts who helped me dive deeper into the content. The digital models and interactive touchpoints were particularly memorable and fun. The atmosphere throughout the museum was calm and welcoming. I really appreciated the clearly marked routes and comfortable rest spots. Without a doubt, a standout cultural destination—I’ll be spreading the word!

MUMA is an important part of Monash Art Design & Architecture. It is a research-based art museum that cooperated internationally, and it is also one of the leading art museum in Melbourne. They have a very professional and academic in-house curatorial team supported by MADA and Monash art foundation.

Elster Creek Trail is a delightful linear park that offers a safe and scenic route for walkers, runners, and cyclists alike. Nestled in beautiful surroundings, this trail features lovely parks nearby with swings and playgrounds perfect for kids. While there’s no water fountain available, visitors should bring their own bottles to stay hydrated; dog owners can cleverly use the "cyclists only" tap to fill clean poop bags with water.
Beautiful trail for a walk, run or cycling. Family friendly.

Absolutely love this linear park. It is so pretty. It's a pity it doesn't go to the beach. It needs to be extended.
Lynda G — Google review
Brilliant, safe walking trail Water only available for walkers who carry their own bottle (refill station, no bubbler) if you're a dog walker, fill a clean poop bag with water from the "cyclists only" tap haha

Nice little park next to Woolworths and obviously maintained well as workers there while I was walking around keeping place tidy. Has solemn tribute to fallen soldiers.
Sam K — Google review
Nice small park. Great for a picnic or a walk. Dogs have plenty of space to run around and play. Would recommend if you live nearby.
Henry B — Google review
Just a short walk from our place, lots of room to run, flowers look great!
Chum B — Google review
Nice park with kids if they're not afraid of dogs. Plenty to do to keep kids busy. Comfortable walking track around perimeter of oval.
Gary G — Google review
This is a big park you can go for walking, running or taking your children out there in the playground. I went for running and saw some folks biking in the early morning.
Payam S — Google review
Nice place to go and walk your dog and let your children play at the playground. The playground is on the outer area of a large open space that is a dog off leash zone (playground and nearby path is dog on leash). A foot path circles the open space area for those wishing to get their step count up. There are a couple of public toilets and a basketball court for those brave enough to attempt 3 pointers in public. The area is lit during week nights only.

Nestled at the intersection of Glen Eira and Hawthorn Roads, the Glen Eira City Council Gallery is a charming destination that beckons art lovers and casual visitors alike. Its striking white clock tower makes it easily recognizable from afar, while ample off-road parking ensures a hassle-free visit. As you stroll through the well-maintained gardens leading to the grand main entrance, you'll feel an inviting sense of tranquility wash over you.
Beautiful decor inside. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Andrew L — Google review
This gallery within the City hall consistantly holds good exhibitions. We have been to a number here and have enjoyed them all
Bob L — Google review
A calm place. Went there for watching Moana at Town Hall. Loved the time spent there.
Samina M — Google review
I attended a residents meeting. Plenty of chairs for participants. Pre covid the council held musical programs which were entertaining, good value and well attended. I'm looking forward to the day when they can resume.

Nestled at the intersection of North Avenue and South Avenue in Bentleigh, North Avenue Park is a charming little oasis perfect for local families. While it may be small, this park features a delightful picnic area complete with two tables—one sheltered under a quaint rotunda—and several benches that provide lovely views of the vibrant children's playground. Although there are no BBQ facilities or on-site parking available, visitors can find limited street parking nearby.
Sweet little pocket park I'd seen numerous times from the train as I was going into city. Nice playarea for kids but that's all it has, so great if you live locally, a great addition to your backyard, but not worth specific trip.
Sam K — Google review
This is a fairly small park located on the corner of North Avenue and South Avenue in Bentleigh, not from Patterson train station. There's a picnic area with two picnic tables with bench seats on either side, one of these is sheltered under a small rotunda, a couple of park benches overlooking a bright and colourful kids playground. There's also a drinking fountain but no BBQs. There' no on-site parking but limited street parking. Being close to train tracks it's sometimes referred to as the Train Park and is a popular place for train lovers both young and old. The park is an on-leash area, which means you must keep your dog on-leash at all times.

Duncan Mackinnon Reserve is a versatile recreational area offering various facilities for sports and outdoor activities. It features netball courts, an athletics track, a sports oval, and a children's playground. In addition, there is a 2.2km tan track around the reserve for walking or jogging. The park also provides public fitness equipment and stations for exercise. Clean and accessible public toilets are available near the pavilion and the oval.
At this well-equipped park sports ground, the children welcomed their long-awaited school sports day. Although the rain occasionally fell and disrupted the rhythm a little, it could not diminish the excitement and laughter in the air. The clean and professional layout of the venue, with its harmonious blend of track and field, provided a perfect stage for the children to unleash their energy. Accompanied by cheers and applause, they spent a day filled with joy and passion here, leaving behind sparkling memories of childhood.

Came during morning on a sunny day. The reserve had a amazing 400 metre track. It also has an enormous oval where you can play with you dog or cat and there was also a soccer goal so you can play soccer. The area is vibrant with green, soft grass covering the area and the giant trees add on to the environment.

A multifunctional sports precinct. With a professional-grade athletics track, netball courts, mixed-purpose fields, large off-leash dog areas and an outdoor gym. 🏟️ Plenty of free parking 🅿️. And bathrooms 🚻♿.
Andrew K — Google review
The field out the back behind the track and the netball courts is soooo big a footy match and a soccer match was going on and there was still enough space for me and my doggo. Also has water and bins so recommend this park highly! Close to a road though so if you don't have good recall don't risk it.

Outer Circle Linear Park is a delightful green space that offers a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation for both kids and adults. Located just a short drive from Murrumbeena, this charming park features an inviting playground, complete with fun elements like snakes and ladders—though it could use some fresh paint to brighten it up! The park also boasts lovely walking and cycling paths that trace the route of the old Outer Circle railway line, which adds historical charm to your visit.
Lovely park that is part of the old Outer Circle railway line, which was demolished in the 1930s. Features a lovely walking and cycling path, beautiful shade trees, park benches, and a rotunda with picnic tables and a BBQ. Would benefit from toilet facilities. This park and trail links to other parks for walking and cycling - Boyd Park and Springthorpe Gardens can be used to access the Djerring Trail. By crossing Dandenong Road and cutting through the Urban Forest Reserve, you can continue on to the Gardiner's Creek Trail, Anniversary Trail and Scotchman's Creek Trail.
Kaz B — Google review
It's just about 5 minutes' drive from the murrumbeena pharmacy. It's a small park with restroom, kids' play area and nice seating arrange. I made full use of the snakes and ladders like the kid i am at heart. However, I do request the council to re-paint that because the numbers are almost faded. Also liked the snake sculpture to complement the space. Surely a good space for kids and adults to walk and relax.

A great playground for younger children. Very well maintained, and nice to have the shadecloth and seating. Toilet facilities would make this playground perfect!

Western end (nearest Hughesdale station) is incredible. In approximately 5 years the guys who look after the park have done a wonderful job. It is a flora & fauna photographers dream

The large lawn is beautiful. The playground equipment is suitable for small children. There are trash cans and benches, but no restrooms or BBQ facilities.
Rintaro — Google review
Not worth a drive... Some construction was going on nearby... Also, there were not many swings... Moreover, I Couldn't find any dustbin in the park! Park is good for those who stay nearby but it's definitely not worth a drive...
Himani A — Google review
Amazing playground for children. Not fenced off, but far away from any roads. It has a bike path that runs through the middle of the park making it a great space for learning to ride a bike/practicing riding as well as a nice place to play. Dog off leash area close by, but not at the playground making it suitable for families with dogs. Only thing missing is a public toilet...

Joyce Park Playground is a charming recreational area that may not possess the grandeur or contemporary design of other adventure parks, but it offers all the necessary amenities for an enjoyable time. At its western end, there are lovely gardens, while the eastern end features a playground, BBQ facilities, ball courts, and even a doggy park/oval located in the back streets. Furthermore, this park includes a designated path for riding bikes and scooters, as well as restrooms and a small parking lot.

I really like this playground. Its not "spectacular" like some other adventure type parks or modern/newly-designed parks, but it has all the facilities you need for a fun time.
