The Baths Sorrento is a popular beachfront restaurant located on the Sorrento foreshore, offering breathtaking views of Port Phillip Bay. The restaurant provides a diverse seafood menu with fresh and high-quality dishes, including Australian cuisine, scotch fillet, vegetarian options, salads, and desserts. It's an ideal spot for a delightful lunch or dinner in a relaxed coastal atmosphere. Additionally, The Baths is suitable for private functions such as weddings and corporate events.
We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding than The Baths Sorrento! From the moment we booked, the team, led by the incredible Manager Alisha, went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. The beachfront setting is nothing short of stunning, and the care and attention Alisha and her team put into every detail truly exceeded our expectations. She even arranged for the section of beach where our ceremony took place to be cleared, ensuring everything was picture-perfect for our big day. The venue itself is a breathtaking combination of coastal elegance and charm, offering spectacular views that created the ideal backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how beautiful the space was. And when it came to the food, it was nothing short of amazing! Each dish was perfectly crafted, showcasing the high quality and creativity The Baths Sorrento is known for. Thanks to Alisha and her incredible team, our wedding day was seamless and stress-free. They took care of everything with such professionalism and warmth, allowing us to simply enjoy every moment. If you’re looking for a venue that combines natural beauty, exceptional food, and outstanding service, The Baths Sorrento is second to none. We will forever cherish the memories of our special day there!

We had order 3 course dinner meal. The entree is good. For the mains we order steak and chicken scollopine Steak is medium well is my prefer choice. For chicken scollopine we expect the chicken should be slice but not 2 pieces of chicken breast. Desserts are average. Service is good. They have great view and can see ferry leaving and coming. it is a good place for celebration or special occasion. The price is a bit on high side but there are restaurant more expensive in Peninsula mornington.

The restaurant has an amazing setting with beautiful views of the beach, the ferry terminal, and vibrant colors of the ocean. The three-course meal was truly impressive—rich in texture and exceptional in flavor, especially with the incredible dressing. The dessert was absolutely stunning, probably the best we’ve had so far!We also enjoy so much by the hospitality services, which are remarkable and pleasant. It's a great and joyful experience for us in Sorrento and worth a nearly 2 hours drive back home (Melbourne) 😄.
Kuo C — Google review
We were recommended to The Baths to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with the quality & taste of the food. We ordered the steak and the snapper on black rice. Both were below average in taste and presentation. Beef was..... & Fish main was overall too salty Veggies were roughly cut and difficult to eat & chew. Can't say I recommend the place P

Had the 3 course lunch here last weekend, truly enjoyable meal, one of the most relaxing and perfect spot to enjoy your meal. It was a lovely day on the beachfront and I sat there for nearly 3hours! Mel was so attentive and welcoming, make my day! Thank you Mel for such a welcoming and beautiful lunch! Loved all the 3 courses, the fish n chips is the BEST I have tasted around the world, crunchy and tasty, not oily! Will be back soon with families and friends. I have already recommended to several friends and family members throughout the week. @mindourlanguagetravelgroup

Food was delicious, ambience is fantastic, and the service is great! Also, the cheesecake is everything. I would come back again and again.

We got married here 6 years ago so we make an effort to come back a few times a year for a meal / reminisce! The service is always great & our meals we couldn’t fault, every time we come there is something different on the menu which is good too. The window tables are always lovely as the view is beautiful ~ perfect place to sit & relax & enjoy a meal anytime of the year!! Parking is easy too. Never disappoints.

Bistro
Nestled in the heart of Sorrento, Bistro Elba transports you straight to the French Riviera with its sun-drenched ambiance and delightful culinary offerings. This charming bistro features a menu brimming with Southern French flavors, showcasing freshly baked bread, delectable seafood dishes, and rich pastries that will tantalize your taste buds.
Went on a Sunday lunch. Not overly busy, relaxed, ambient and lovely sunny day. You get what you pay for, everything was great. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, great drinks list and attentive staff. Will definitely be back again.

We recently had lovely dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, as was the service. Every dish was presented beautifully, classic and delicious flavour combinations, and a wine list to match. Would definitely visit again.
Jorja B — Google review
Every time we come to Bistro Elba, it is always an amazing experience. Every dish we enjoy is superb and leaves you wanting more (if you could actually fit it in!). The oysters are always fresh, the soufflé and tartare are excellent and the star of the show is always the chicken pot pie! Simply unforgettable each and every time! Thank you!

2nd time at Bistro Alba, and can’t fault it. Food is delicious, atmosphere is great, service is great. Highly recommend it.
Sarah B — Google review
Very mediocre food at exorbitant cost. And the non-alcoholic drinks were so bad that we left those after the first sip. Those should be completely removed from the menu. Don't serve something that you're so bad at. We were just too disappointed to try the dessert. And in the end they didn't even bother asking 'how was the food?'.
Iqbal H — Google review
Food was really good. But the waiters were outright snobs. I felt judged for not spending more money or ordering a bottle of wine. We heard them say things about us and saw them sample wine from a nearby customers open bottle. We paid cash and were made to feel like “tradies” I think the comment was. Wouldn’t go again just because of how pretentious they were. We enjoyed the steak, potatoes and creme brulee. We enjoyed our night because we don’t let others opinions determine our moods. The cabbage salad wasn’t at all good. They were fake friendly, judgy friendly. Would rather spend my money somewhere else.
Caroline C — Google review
Lovely restaurant with a lively atmosphere, feels like a lot of locals come here , nice attention to details right down to the olive in the martini. The oysters to start are a must to kick off your meal. We had the twice baked soufflé, stuffed zucchini flowers , chicken pot pie and lamb loin with ratatouille and excellent cabbage salad and affogato some local cheese for desert . We were given some wine selections from the staff which were bang on and the young man also gave us directions to some local vineyards in the area. Every dish was a delight and was well presented . The meal was not rushed and it felt like you were genuinely having a nice long meal in France at a lovely local bistro . I’d be eating here everyday if I was in the area!

APPARENTLY we are in America now??? Didn’t know you had to be 21+ to go to a bar in the country I was born in??? Anyway they lost customers 😡😡🤬🤬🤬
Willa T — Google review
It's a little spot on the ground floor that has a lot of potential. On our visit the music was not a vibe and just played the same beats over and over again. The DJ was just drinking and chilling with staff not interested in the dead dance floor, the drinks were watered down more than you'd expect. The staff were pretentious like it was the best spot ever. Cover charge was $25 which is wild considering.
Jennifer G — Google review
DJ on the 29/03 was dropping some of the limpest tunes known to man. He'd have a better chance at mixing oil and water together than any of the songs he was cueing up.

Cocktail bar that doesn't serve cocktails. Full of ferals, i asked for a cocktail and they said they don't serve cocktails.

Beautiful building, however staff are so so rude. Drinks are crazy expensive and prices inconsistent I ordered 3 vodka lime sodas, 1 Prosecco and asked for 3 glasses of water and charged $74 Not long after I ordered 4 vodka lime sodas and charged $60 Unhelpful staff who just threaten to kick you out when questioned about prices

Italian restaurant
Itali.co Sorrento is a high-class Italian restaurant offering a traditional menu featuring classic dishes like bolognese and Margherita pizza, as well as the freshest seafood options. The friendly staff provides excellent service, making it worth visiting for the coffee alone. Situated opposite the foreshore with stunning bay views, this bustling restaurant also offers fantastic wood-fired pizza for dine-in or take away.
first time in Sorrento and walked past this place with my partner, all of the staff were lovely and pizza was perfectly cooked. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in Sorrento :)
Olivia K — Google review
The food quality is average and overpriced. While the prawn dish was tasty, the portion was very small with only four pieces, and the pizza was overly salty. Service was inconsistent. The waitress near the main door was rude and unaccommodating when we requested an outdoor table with a sea view, despite all the tables being empty. This left us feeling quite uncomfortable. On the positive side, the young waitress with long golden hair provided excellent service. She was friendly, hardworking, and quick to assist. The extra star in my rating is solely for her efforts.
Jimmy C — Google review
This has to be one of Melbournes best italian secret finds. It is consistently delicious and might be the one of the only remaining restaurants where they dont skimp on toppings on the pizza, seafood in the risotto and the copious amounts of bacon in the carbonara. Every bite is just like this is YUM. The serving sizes are also generous, you get what you pay for here. Your in Sorrento right on the beach what do you expect, seen some negative reviews which need to be ignored. The staff are super friendly, the restaurant is spacious and quiet even when full, its just a vibe
RyanPrahran — Google review
To be honest, some of the reviews surprise me. I’ve been dining at itali.co since they launched just over 10 years ago, on a regular basis and can only rave about every meal I’ve had. Never have I walked away disappointed. My fave is the ravioli which has changed slightly over the years. It packs a punch for flavour and the main course size is ample. Let’s get started on the stone cooked pizzas. The base is light and crusty and full of delicious authentic toppings. Sure, I’ve seen lots of new faces wielding the itali.co apron and they are efficient and deliver your food without fuss. The Nutella pizza also slaps, don’t go without at least sharing a dessert pizza. Great location, fresh authentic Italian food, ticks every box.
Kerry H — Google review
One of the best Italian restaurants in Australia situated on the beautiful Victorian Peninsula, fun staff, fun atmosphere, the Vodka prawns were yum. We highly recommend Itali.co

We have eaten at Italico on multiple occasions and we have never been disappointed. The food is fresh, flavoursome and such generous serves for the price. It’s hard to find quality fine food in Sorrento and Italico has provided on our trips.

Guests can enjoy luxurious stays at the Heritage Room or the modern On The Hill Studio, complete with a bottle of wine and robes. The hotel also boasts access to a guest-only pool terrace, Marlo Spa, and upscale dining options such as The Dining Room and Shihuishi.
We recently had a 3 night stay here to attend a wedding. We loved every aspect of our stay! From check in staff thru to breakfast and housekeeping staff everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and every amenity we needed. Bed was super comfy. We were busy with events arranged for the wedding so want to go back for another stay to relax and enjoy the hotel. Highly recommend a stay here.

Enjoyed our midweek stay at discounted rate in a first floor room which had a balcony, sea view and small sitting room with space for yoga. It was quiet, midweek in October. The pool was too cold to swim as it is not heated in this season. . The included breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was superb. We'll be back.
D M — Google review
Our room at this hotel was as anticipated; excellent. Location - wonderful. I want to give this hotel 5 stars on all accounts. Unfortunately, during our stay, the evacuation alarm woke us at 1am and had us out in the street; strangely, with no staff in attendance. 45 mins later, alarm still ringing, most of the guests were still outside waiting before an emergency response team and a staff member attended and told us we could go back to bed. Noisy, disrupted guests had us awake for hours afterward. The following day staff apologised and gave a late check out to anyone who was able to take advantage of the gesture. Despite the beautiful room and great location, this experience really impacted our birthday celebrations. It was a ‘miss’ for us and we didn’t leave with confidence that the safety and comfort of guests was a priority on that occasion. The staff member at check out was very kind and apologetic however the feedback form communicating this directly to the hotel didn’t receive a reply. Disappointed.
Renee L — Google review
We stayed recently during winter and really enjoyed our time here. The room was so comfortable and well set up for the season, with a fireplace and a great balcony overlooking the bay. Everything felt stylish and easy to settle into on a cold afternoon. The hotel has a lot of character and history, and the overall vibe was relaxed but polished. A great spot for a quiet getaway yet still has a vibrant feel.
Jorja B — Google review
Everything from walking in, the cocktails, food, staff and service was incredible. They went above and beyond especially me and my partners allergy’s were thoughtfully taken care of with alternative dishes. Which we’d never experienced before. We would come back time and time again, loved it.
Maddison W — Google review
Not worth the price. Current construction disrupted the whole stay, noisy mornings, blocked pathways, and poor access to facilities. Dinner service was slow and inattentive, drinks were poorly made, and the food was average. Reception was often unreachable, noise from the car park into the rooms and drunk lads from the bar roaming around the hotel and smoking made it impossible to relax. Hotel was clean and room looked good ascetically. Overall, would not recommend.
Melissa L — Google review
We recently stayed at Hotel Sorrento for two nights and absolutely loved our experience. The dinners were exceptional, and the complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations in both quality and variety. The room was cozy, fully renovated, and equipped with modern automated features, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only small suggestion we have is that some floor staff at sorrento restaurant could benefit from a bit more training in customer service, just to match the high standard of everything else. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would love to return for another holiday at Hotel Sorrento!

Nestled in the heart of the Peninsula, Buckley Sorrento is a popular cafe known for its delectable brunch offerings and vibrant atmosphere. The menu features a variety of tempting dishes, from churro waffles with ice cream to nutritious breakfast bowls and braised beef eggs Benny. Guests can also indulge in options like Moroccan chicken salad and smashed avocado with seeds, or opt for more indulgent choices such as beef burgers.
very good times spent in buckley, with friends, or even family! in small groups or in large groups, I have always been very well received! the food is very good, plentiful, and made with fresh products! the establishment has a room at the back if the weather is not nice. their coffees are incredible 😍 The team is at the top and always available to serve you!! thanks to Antonin who served us! Buckley by night is such a great addition to Sorrento!!! Great live music, great vibes, authentic Italian cuisine and deli treats. Dinner was absolutely delicious, and the wait staff were lovely! I will definitely be going back whenever I am in the Mornington Peninsula

A shadow of its former self. Limited menu. All the fancy pancakes are gone. The staff are lovely. Stars for the mango smoothie. Pancake was nice and fluffy. The eggs were bland on burnt, jaw-breaking (deep fried?) toast. The most disappointing eggs, avocado toast I've ever had. Pic is after I removed the eggs, smashed the avo myself and reassembled it. Yesterday's visit had my daughter in tears - ordered pancakes with no maple syrup, 45 minutes later it arrived swimming in maple syrup, waited another half hour for replacement. I hope management can remember what used to make this place so special and bring some of that back.
Chooktopia — Google review
Took over an hour to receive our food, and got zero communication as to what was going on. Got there at 12:30PM and didn’t receive our food until 1:40PM. All I got was “sorry”. We weren’t the only ones waiting either, everyone else had to wait the same time to receive their food. Understandably they were upset over this too. Would never usually say this, but it actually ruined our day as we had timed plans and couldn’t make them because we had to spend 1.5 hours getting a simple meal (eggs Benedict (which was lukewarm), a blueberry açai bowl and 2 chocolate milkshakes) for a whopping $85! Would not recommend

Stopped here for breakfast while completing sections of the Bay Walking Trail. Some outdoor seating under the footpath awning, or a large dining area out back. Efficient staff, nice coffee and delicious breakfast options. There is on street parking nearby. A little on the pricey side, but probably similar to other cafes in Sorrento.
Zeglar F — Google review
Was walking past last Friday night and noticed the live music, luckily they still had space for a table of two! Loved the new look Buckley dinner menu, we shared all our meals but the Gnocchi Bolognese was the best meal of the night
Adrian G — Google review
Overall rating of 63/100 PROS: This place has a great variety on the menu, and the serving sizes were massive. The strawberry ricotta toast was probably the standout dish for me in the all out splurging of our group. I still crave it from time to time! My acai bowl also tasted great, but beware ordering it on a colder morning as it is freezing and also super sweet. Cons: Aside from the dishes above, the other ones were really fairly average tasting and quite standard fare (eg simple B&E on toast). The prices for these dishes is extremely unjustifiably high, and I don't understand the Mornington premium that appears to have been placed on these. Definitely a set up targetting tourists/visitors in the area. The service also is quite average, with some level of tardiness on requests. The QR ordering system is also not made clear to guests, so those who are more unassuming may miss this (not us, as we got onto it straight away). The coffee is certainly also quite standard fare by high Melbourne coffee standards
Roshan R — Google review
Average, good variety on and off the menu. Overpriced. Went with a group of friends, and sat outside which was lovely. The app wasn’t working so we all had to order at the front cashier. The place looks impressive, they’ve done a lovely renovation but the prices are very expensive. The seeded smashed avo was $22.50 and doesn’t include even a single egg. I ordered a chai latte which was $8.50 because I got almond milk. The honey provided was already in the glass so I didn’t have a choice on how sweet I wanted it, I’d suggest putting in a small glass on the side with a teaspoon. Some friends got decaf coffee and didn’t enjoy it at all but those who had standard coffees were happy. Overall, nothing special but a nice atmosphere to hang in outside.

Great dinner at a great location. Could not fault our night. The service and passion of the owner is unmatched by anywhere I have been before. If you're a rolling stones fan it is a must and if you like great food you'll also enjoy your time here.

Located on the main street but not the main strip of Sorrento lies this hidden gem. Reasonably priced with the option of 2 or 3 courses - we were drooling at all the options - but loved all the options chosen. Probably the best food option I had in Sorrento - lovely service and added bonus of admiring Rolling Stones memorabilia.

Had dinner at Loquat and had the 3 course menu. The lamb ragu main was nice but did lack flavour that you want from a slow cooked ragu. The pork belly was flavoursome and well paired. We both had the sticky date pudding for dessert. Best sticky date we have had for years.

We ordered the works pizza, to be honest it was soggy, unappetising and an abomination of a pizza(90% meat toppings, 5% pizza, 5% cheese). We complained about it, they offered to take it off the bill but we were keen to try a pizza although the first one destroyed our appetite. So the next one was a vegetarian pizza with lesser toppings(fearing any meat pizza would have the same problem), to our surprise it was burnt, literally charred at the bottom and the one we tried was probably like charcoal. We offered to pay for it but we made sure we gave them the feedback so they explained that they’ve burnt as the previous pizza was soggy, almost as they did it on purpose. All we expected was a decent and edible pizza, with reasonable service. Clearly this is a place for neither.

We got take away pizza - the pizza like regular pizza joint pizza hence the 3 stars. They need to write on the boxes what's gluten free and what's not though because it got mixed up in the order :( The service initially upon walking in was a bit busy and just 'business as usual' but we got talking to them and they were exceptionally lovely and warm.

I usually get takeaway pizza from Trattoria when In Sorrento and it's usually been pretty good. I think it may have changed hands recently as both pizza we got last night were appalling. Guys serving were not enjoying life being overwhelmed by orders and phones ringing. I'll try the new shop next to Morgan's next time

Great local Italian, no specific vegan dishes and they said they didn’t have dairy free cheese, but I had a vegetable risotto and just made sure it didn’t have cheese on top. It was really lovely, risotto grains had the right kind of bite and there were lots of veggies. They also have two Italian beers on the menu.

Came in for a quick pizza. Mariana pizza was tasty, topped with lots of seafood, and was just the right amount of saltiness. Cutlery and furnishings are a bit old and tired, but generally good value.

We dined here with my partner and little baby and were greeted wonderfully. Seated to our choice and our order taken within minutes. Amazing quality food served quickly. Food was flavoursome. Waitress Lisa was thorough and very lovely, I loved this restaurant and rate it highly! We will be back!

The Sorrento Social Cafe is a charming spot located on Ocean Beach Road, perfect for a mid-shopping coffee break. They offer an array of popular coffee blends and freshly squeezed juices. The cafe is known for its welcoming staff and accommodating service, especially for those with dietary restrictions. Visitors praise the delightful breakfast options and exceptional service provided by friendly and attentive staff members. Despite one minor setback regarding pricing, guests appreciate the quick service and delicious food, making it a place they would gladly revisit.
Extremely pleasant breakfast experience here. Plates looked very colourful and were nourishing and balanced. A little pricey and a 10% weekend charge but food was excellent and seating area was beautiful. Matcha was made well and was not sweet, showing its natural taste. Poke bowl had a harmonious blend of ingredients. Fantastic meal.

I stumbled upon this charming cafe while exploring the neighborhood, and I'm so glad I did! The breakfast here is absolutely delightful. The menu offers a fantastic variety of breakfast options, catering to every palate. What truly sets this cafe apart is not just the delicious food but also the impeccable service. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and ensured that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. I deducted one star from the overall rating because charging $11.50 for a glass of orange juice is a rip off!!

great spot, lovely décor, and good coffee once you manage to earn it. ☕😂 Just so you know, this place runs on a “survival of the most organised” system — if you don’t pay first, you won’t be seeing food, drinks, or even a napkin. Feeling thirsty? No worries — simply head over, grab your own glass, and pour your own water like you’re at home (because apparently, you are 💁‍♂️). The staff are nice enough but seem to be on a very exclusive mission: deliver the food and vanish like magicians. 🎩✨ That said, the food’s actually good, coffee’s worth the wait, and it’s a solid spot if you don’t mind doing a bit of self-service cardio before brunch. 😎

Great food. Good sized portions without being excessive. Fast and cheerful service. Highly recommended.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but my experience at this café was truly disappointing. One of the waiters accidentally spilled some coffee on my sister — which we completely understand, accidents happen. Not a big deal! However, when we politely asked for a napkin to clean up and wipe down my sister, the situation was handled terribly. Instead of apologising or helping, the waitress gave us attitude and actually said it was our fault. She then refused to give us a napkin, telling us to wait until she cleared the table next to us first. After that, she went inside and started complaining about us to another staff member, while we were still sitting there waiting, coffee on my sister, being ignored - she refused to acknowledge us and stayed inside serving other tables. We waited and waited and waited, we finally found a napkin on the table which she was apparently too busy clearing and couldn’t hand us the napkin left on the table which she didn’t end up clearing anyway! All we wanted was something simple to wipe off the spill. Too much to ask! Really disappointing service and lack of basic courtesy. A little kindness and professionalism would have gone a long way. We are locals not tourists and regardless of how good the coffee is at the cafe, we left with a bitter taste and won’t be back.

Sorrento Thai offers a unique blend of Eastern and Western cuisine, serving up a variety of dishes from seafood, rice, and noodles to steaks. Despite its location within an RSL club, the focus here is on authentic Thai flavors rather than extravagant decor. While some diners have noted inconsistencies in portion sizes, many praise the delicious food and commend the attentive service. Overall, Sorrento Thai promises a delightful and flavorful Thai dining experience worth trying when in Sorrento.

Sorrento Thai restaurant offers a spacious haven, complete with a charming garden section. The hospitality was excellent, and the swift service was commendable. While the ambience and service were exceptional, the culinary journey presented a mix of highs and lows. The Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Pad Thai Noodles stood out with their delightful flavors. Additionally, the Fish Cakes and Chicken Money Bags offered tantalizing bites that left a lasting impression. However, the Tom Yum Gai, Tom Kha Gai, Chicken Satay, and Thai style homemade Dim Sim felt somewhat average, not quite meeting the anticipated taste profile. Moreover, the availability of ample free parking spaces added convenience to the overall visit.

Mubble is a popular spot known for its wide range of gelato and sorbet flavors. It can get quite busy, especially on summer weekends, so it's recommended to grab your ice cream to go. The shop has a modern and spacious interior with friendly staff ready to help you choose from the delicious flavors available. With plenty of variety, it's a must-visit for ice cream lovers in the Sorrento shopping district.
I stopped by for some ice cream over the weekend and was served by Cooper — what a legend! Super friendly, funny, and full of great energy. He made the whole experience really enjoyable and served everyone quickly with a smile. Also, can’t help but mention — his forearms looked seriously impressive while scooping the ice cream! Great service and great vibes all around. Definitely coming back! PS can someone give me his number x

Beautiful handcrafted ice cream. Doesn’t taste like it’s full of sugar, so much flavour. Our toddler didn’t like his flavour after he chose it and the lovely man gave him something else at no charge. Great ice cream and kind people.
El M — Google review
Went there for an ice cream and the queue moved pretty quick.. so quick that I barely had time to decide what flavors I wanted. Fortunately you don't have to know the flavors when you pay, just right after.. so still pretty fast. I really like that you pay first and then get your ice cream because you aren't eating it while waiting on line to pay like many other places. Lots of flavors to choose from and everyone loved the flavor they got. I got pasion fruit yogurt and mixed berry yogurt.. want sure if I would like the passion fruit flavor and was offered to try it, but I was sure it would be fine... And it was. Both flavors were great. But the best part for me was after we sat down and saw that you can scan the qr code in my photos to order online and skip the queue and go in from the front door and just pick up your ice cream. I'm thinking this will also give you more time to decide what flavors you want. Great ice cream, fast service and options for being things even faster. Definitely a place to visit.
Chris ( — Google review
Ice cream flavours were very unique and different to other ice creameries and tasted second to none. The staff were very generous with ice cream portions for a reasonable price. Nice location next to the beach to be able to enjoy your ice cream by the ocean. Definitely would come back and again and highly recommend the banana flavour.

Today I sat and witnessed two school kids and a mother with baby have to wait while an older lady pushed in front of everyone to order 5 ice-creams. Then the lady serving tried to serve another man who had just walked in, the lady with baby pointed at one of the school kids and said she’s next, then proceeded to order her ice-cream after the little girl got hers. That wasn’t the most shocking, the most shocking was when the lady serving had her child walk in putting his fingers in the ice-cream licking them and trying more. It’s safe to say I did not get an ice-cream after that and will never get one from there. The kid was in school clothes so old enough to know better and the mother did nothing.

3.5/5 Nice service at this bustling ice cream shop. We ordered a 500ml tib for $15! Yep we're on holidays lol The chocolate ice cream was nice but not amazing!! The lemon lime and bitters sorbet was better, tasty and definitely one for the sweet tooth. I'm happy to support smaller operators and I'd like to try another flavour or two.

Stringers Sorrento is a charming establishment that has evolved over its impressive 126-year history, transitioning from a corner store and café to a chic all-day restaurant and bar. This delightful spot invites you to indulge in exquisite breakfast options like ricotta hotcakes and truffled mushrooms on toast, while their lunch menu features mouthwatering wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas crafted from 72-hour fermented dough, alongside fresh pasta and grilled meats.
What an amazing place to have lunch at! 10/10 food, service. Incredible pizza with delicious artichoke, mushroom, prosciutto, anchovies. Incredible melon with prosciutto, little spicy too so hits the spot. A local wine selection is wonderful to pair with and we can't wait to go back. Everything was top notch!

Absolutely loved this place! 🌞 The whole vibe feels fresh and relaxing, almost like being on vacation, with its yellow-and-white umbrellas, wooden tables, and beautiful warm tones. 🦀 The crab pasta with thin spaghetti had just the right kick of spice—so flavorful! The pizza crust was perfectly balanced, soft yet with a nice bite, and the fish and chips… wow! Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside—just perfect. Both of our little ones loved it here too, which makes it even better. Already planning our next visit!

Had a beautiful Sunday lunch in the courtyard at Stringers in Sorrento. The setting was relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a long afternoon meal. Such a shame how much this venue has really dropped in its overall experience. I have such fond memories of coming to Stringers growing up and it seems since it’s been acquired it’s really gone down hill…. Ruining itself with QR codes- cheapening the experience and you’re forced to order off them…. I was waiting 25 minutes until someone came to check on me if I had ordered and I had to go and collect my own water. The staff are friendly and sweet but all over the show…. we were bought the wrong coffee and had to wait 10 minutes before we had to go up and ask where on earth it was. Whilst the menu read well and the food was cooked, it tasted of seed oils and not in a good way. My gluten free toast tasted like it had been dunked in disgusting seed oil and the scrambled eggs also cooked in seed oil, the oil tasted so horrible it ruined the meal. It is a shame because I felt so sick after eating here and I would have expected better from such a well established venue. Sorry to say I won’t be rushing back- I used to be a regular here. Truffled mushrooms were good and so was the spinach. I had tuna ceviche here yesterday and that was good but unfortunately ruined by today’s experience.

We went there this Sunday and here is what I observed and experienced. All tables had rubbish and I was there for over 30 min. Every table was dirty and even birds were coming in to eat. No water was given. When another customer asked for water, the lady at fish and chips area told him to go get it himself from the restaurant. Lol Another customer with little english came to pick up their order, same staff lady told her to get it from counter by turning right hand side. Which really confused the customer, they didn't know what to do. They kept walking and feeling foolish. Whyyy can't you provide basic service? Go to the counter and hand it over! Clean your tables. Treat the tourists and day travellers with more care and respect. Fish and chips had no taste either.
Win K — Google review
Had a great coffee. But they didn't finish prepping our order. We ordered a brunch and a pizza. The brunch came out but the pizza order was missing. I had to enquire. Was informed that the pizza was not made. Due to time constraints of a prior scheduled appointment I had to cancel the order and leave without having lunch. We had been at the cafe for about an hour and fifteen minutes. Unfortunately, the staff didn't want to acknowledge the mistake. I had to bring it up whilst I was paying. There was no checking up to see what happened or a sincere apology. Just payment transaction and a wait for me to walk away. It was a grim experience. It's a shame. We drove up from the city and planned to eat here before our scheduled meeting, as their sister cafe Cheri in South Melbourne is our local which we liked. Totally disappointed with the handling.

Escape the hustle and bustle of city life and indulge in a luxurious seafood feast at Audrey's in Sorrento. This destination diner, located within The Continental, offers a glittering gastronomic experience with stunning views of Port Phillip Bay. Named after chef Scott Pickett's grandmother, Audrey's exudes elegance with its marble bar, caviar, Champagne, and Tiffany-blue banquettes. The restaurant promises an unforgettable evening filled with opulence and revelry.
Audrey’s delivers an unforgettable dining experience with the perfect blend of elegance and warmth. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtfully curated to make our evening special. Chef Bruno and his outstanding team, especially the wonderful Kym, created a meal that was nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. My personal highlights were the tender, perfectly cooked lamb and the indulgent chocolate dessert—both were absolute standouts. The combination of exquisite food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a truly memorable night. Audrey’s is a place I can’t wait to return to and wholeheartedly recommend.

We had our anniversary here and it’s our first time in Audrey, and the staff were amazing upon arrival. We casually request if we could sit at the high chair / chef table and the staff accommodated us very quickly. We had so much fun interacting with Bruno and the team, there were so passionate in what they do and make us feel so hospitable ! The food is excellent and really some of the best we know in Australia !! Bruno did such a good job in bringing the team together. We were so impressed from our dinner and quickly make lunch reservations the next day. The team of course nail it again in lunch. Despite the busy Mother’s Day weekend , the whole team work so harmoniously together and honestly, I am so impressed. So thankful for this experience and we are already planning our next trip back soon !

Had a truly wonderful dinner here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Classic set menu with paired wines, and we added oysters and the duck dish as well. The food was sensational and the wines were all beautifully paired. The restaurant decor was beautiful, however, the lighting was a little dim. Whilst lovely for setting the mood - this just wasn't hugely practical for being able to see the details of the dishes. We truly had a spectacular time though, and would highly recommend to anyone.

We had an hour to dine as we had plans afterwards. Veronica served us and was very helpful tailoring the meal to our time constraints. We booked for oyster frenzy but were offered the full menu which was very kind. Great food and incredibly fresh oysters!
Bert B — Google review
Well curated menu, great service and relaxed atmosphere. Varied wine list with reasonable selection from Australia and overseas. Beluga caviar to start was creamy and paired well with Taittinger. Brioche with selection of butters (one infused with seaweeds)- buttery and nice. Hors d’oeuvres - Anchovies and raw scampi to start - both tasty and scampi was very fresh. Entrees - venison tartare (very tasty, fresh) and zucchini flower with crab (delicate and served on a nice tasty bisque). Mains were dry aged duck (the best dish of the meal), pork rack (more a pork chop, but with a great sauce) and sides of caullini and kipfler potatoes. All in all a very enjoyable meal. Thanks too to very friendly service from waiter, Sebastian!

I strongly suggest visiting St Pauls General Store in Sorrento. It is conveniently situated between the foreshore and back beach, making it an ideal location. The cafe attracts mostly locals, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere. They serve fantastic coffee and delicious breakfast options, including the best chicken burgers around. The charming Art Deco building features a lovely shaded courtyard with grassy areas. Additionally, they offer a wide selection of organic groceries, fresh fruits, dips, baked goods, and local peninsula produce.
I absolutely loved the food, especially the chili chicken bagel, it was delicious! The hot chocolate was 10/10, and the service was super friendly. It’s such a cute spot to relax and enjoy your time. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Great little general store well positioned off the high st in Sorrento. Unfortunately we visited later yesterday and almost every sandwich was sold out, we were really hoping for the salad sandwich but not to be. Instead I had a fried chicken burger (it really was the only option available) and it was good, as expected. Defiantly worth a visit if you are in the area, but not worth driving down from Melbourne for again.

Super cute new school general store and cafe with an old school feel and pretty decent prices. They’ve got a great range of retail products, good coffee and a variety of mostly pre-made food from sandwiches to salads and dim sims. The salad roll was a bit under seasoned for my taste but there’s a condiments station you can jazz it up with. FYI seating is outdoors only so go on a nice day.

🍗 Fried Chicken Burger 🍟 Hot Chips St Paul’s General Store has a long history in Sorrento and was completely renovated at the end of 2021. They flaunt a new courtyard, kitchen and menu which takes you from breakfast to lunch. ⛱ The store is stocked with daily deliveries of fresh bread, specially curated pantry staples, flowers, fresh fruit and veg, booze and fridges stocked with locally sourced products. They also stock take home meals and platters made on site by their chef. 👩🏼‍🍳 The menu was quite large and mostly everything was ready to go from the fridge or Bain Marie and replenished frequently. We both couldn’t go passed the Chicken Burgers, made with crispy fried thigh pieces marinated in their spice mix. Simply served with lemon mayo, bacon, cheese and pickles on a brioche bun it was a winner. The only thing I could pick was that it was warm not hot as it would have been if it was made to order. The chips were your quintessential “fish and chips” style chips, crunch and golden. 🍟 Great local find and stop before the beach or a quick feed at a decent price. 🥰

The Atrium at The Continental in Sorrento is a haven for food enthusiasts, offering a diverse range of dining options. Whether you're seeking a laid-back meal or an upscale culinary affair, this establishment has something to satisfy every palate. While the bustling atmosphere and occasional service hiccups are par for the course during peak tourist seasons, the food remains delectable. One standout dish is the ocean trout, though some sides may fall short.
We thoroughly enjoyed it here. It’s such a beautiful modern space that feels lovely. Kudos to the people who did the renovation here. It’s amazing. We decided to make this a special night and had the shared seafood platter. The platter was delicious with excellent oysters, scallops, sliced tuna, prawns, lobster rolls and served with chips and a salad. We throughly enjoyed this excellent dish which we had with a local Pinot gris. Service throughout the night was utterly delightful, especially from the very polite, efficient and friendly server from Utrecht who did a wonderful job. This is far from a cheap night out but we found it to be very good and enjoyable and perfect for a special occasion

Pro: food presentation was beautiful and atmosphere was lovely with all the greenery. Con: no one was greeting customer upon arrival, had to search for someone. Waitress on Sunday morning had an arrogant attitude asked for room tempt beverage got told “we have what we have in the cooler”. Food came out 35 minutes later, upon checking with waitress got told “it’s made from scratch so every dish takes at least 20 minutes to make”. You couldn’t have told me that before I ordered? Food is average but presentation was beautiful. Good for Insta but won’t be returning due to lack of good service.

The restaurant is beautiful. The indoor outdoor feel is welcoming, bright and inviting. Love the atmosphere inside. We opted for a set menu as we came in a large group. The meal started with a bowl of olives and sourdough bread. The bread was soft and warm, quite enjoyable. Next came the arranchini balls. Paired with the dip the came with, they were delicious. The focaccia and hummus dips were pleasant. The oyster blade meal was generous, the meat was cooked well. However it lacked acidity and would’ve been better accompanied with something less oily. The barramundi dish was also good. It was plated beautifully and fish was cooked well. Both dishes were accompanied by a bowl of fries and a salad. For a restaurant of this caliber, I’d expect a bit more from the salad. It was plain lettuce and a few strands of pickled radish or something of the sort on the top. For dessert, we had the basque cheesecake and the chocolate marquis. The chocolate dish was very good, but both were overpriced in my opinion. Overall, for the price per head at $89, I was disappointed that dessert was not included. It was an enjoyable meal but not value for money.

We visited Sorrento and the Atrium looked incredible. My husband and I booked a table for a date lunch without the kids! It truly felt like we were in the Hamptons - such a fresh, vibrant, atmosphere! The food.. We had a shared Spring Menu, it was so lovely to not even have to think about ordering. It was absolutely delicious paired with a few glasses of bubbles. After lunch we ventured next door to the Aurora Spa and Bathhouse! 1.5 hours of heaven! Definitely recommend both!

Second visit to the Atrium in Sorrento. My husband and I enjoyed brunch- choosing from the Croissant variations. I chose fried chicken, while my husband chose the Bandito. Both were well presented and tasty. The coffee served was not bad. The service is very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing , due to the spacious and tasteful surroundings. We will definitely revisit.

Name change from The Atrium - seems to be exactly the same place, which isn't necessarily a bad thing - very limited options in Sorrento (and we've tried them all). Have had average to good meals here in the past. Wine marks up approximately 200% ($95 for a $25 Italian garganega), and very, very few Mornnington Peninsula wines on offer. Given an ice bucket, but had to poor our own refills. Had to ask for knives - only forks on table, and this was after battle through our starters single handedly. Squid, lamb ribs, gem salad good. Tuna tartare passable. Spaghetti marinara forgettable, with presumably defrosted marinara mix. Kids pasta simple but tasty. Kids chicken turned out to be crumbed chicken nuggets. Skipped dessert. Most concerning issue was watching one of the workers exit a toilet cubicle and straight out without washing their hands - straight into the kitchen. They very well may have washed their hands in the kitchen, but at the very least have unlocked a soiled cubicle lock, then pushed through the exit door and into the door to the kitchen. Urgh!

Noisy and chaotic with inconsistent service although to be expected at this time of year with all the tourists. Some of the food looked underwhelming as sous vide was used (perfectly understandable though given the volume of food going through the kitchen), but it was tasty. The fish of the day (ocean trout), was great, but the side salad was that cheap “mixed leaves” variety with chopped cucumber, which let the meal down. Nobody eats that stuff! We don’t need to go back again.

We were at the Continental Hotel this year for Christmas lunch in the Atrium. Set menu was excellent. Great setting and ambience. Well done to the team in the kitchen and the staff on the floor looking after us all so well on such a busy occassion.

The Conti Bar, situated at The Continental Sorrento in Victoria, is a top choice for those seeking an exceptional bar experience. Nestled on the Mornington Peninsula, this chic and elegant venue stands out among Sorrento's bars, providing a diverse selection of premium drinks within a laid-back and inviting setting. Visitors can indulge in delectable truffle pizza and authentic prosecco reminiscent of Italy while enjoying attentive service that ensures a comfortable and enjoyable time.
Rather glad that we didn't read the reviews prior to coming here as we probably wouldn't have. Our experience however was very good. We did have to wait a while before being seated, but the staff were very friendly and helpful and as it was incredibly busy, the service once we were seated was pretty good too. We ordered a couple of salads which were fresh and delicious. I would hope to have the same experience going back there again.

Change your chef pronto! Terrible food for a global hotel brand. Best part of the meal were the drinks, everything else was dry and bland! Only saving grace was the helpful team members you had.

We have 2 children (5 & 2), the staff were very accommodating, seating us quickly and in a warm area. The mains (pork belly salad and burger) were well cooked and served, the children shared the sliders which were also well cooked. I took the 2 year old to watch the chefs prepare pizzas and they were smiling, said hello, and this was the case with all the wait staff; one staff member was particularly generous with his time in chatting with our child. The seating is well spaced, not too noisy, and the music was well selected. The experience was excellent.

Positives: Great atmosphere, food is good and priced well. Negatives: Salad had too much dressing and hard to find wait staff

Staff service was awesome and the women hosting topped it. The food was great. Atmosphere inside was good. Outside would have been great except for other patrons who feel the need to bring their animals with them (grrrr!)… Would be great if venues stood up to these people. But the staff were awesome in making us more comfortable inside. The lamb ribs are a goer for sure. Enjoy!

I came down to celebrate my birthday and The Conti has provided the most outstanding service and made my birthday so special. The staff were so accommodating to myself and all my friends. The food was spectacular. I would highly recommend this venue the next time you are down. The live entertainment deserves 10 stars plus more. Thank you everyone at The Conti for an amazing night and experience! I will definitely be back.

The menu is limited. The bar is fantastic. Very spacious and has a good energy. Can watch the game here. The other places on the strip are not as invited. The fish items are in high demand. The chips are exceptional. Honestly. They go down a treat with the drinks.

Nice venue and atmosphere. Good drinks list and lots of GF options on the menu. Overall the food was pretty basic. They forgot the rice crisps in our chicken salad and the salad was soggy like it had been sitting around for hours. The tacos were average and expensive for how small the were. The Sorrento hotel resturaunt food was much better from our perspective.

Just Fine Food is a cafe that serves Sorrento's Famous Vanilla Slice. The cafe is located in the heart of downtown and offers a variety of delectable menu items, including vanilla slice.
I was very early for pre day ‘Two Bays Ultramarathon breakfast’ so it was quiet. I was carbo loading so looking for pancakes but decided to try their French Toast with maple syrup and banana. It was not the usual French toast with egg but still very tasty and I enjoyed it with a good hot coffee. I also bought one of their ‘famous’ vanilla slices to take away. Have tried a little and seems pretty good - not too sweet. Staff were pleasant and both indoor and outdoor seating available.

BEWARE - OWNER STALKS YOUR REVIEW HISTORY AND PERSONALLY ATTACKS YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!! *****Original review**** Agree with a lot of the negative reviews! Gave it a shot and confirmed that: - vanilla slice was ok, but not the best I’ve had. - don’t bother about the food and coffee - it is overpriced for the portion and quality - tables are dirty and staff for some reason only wiped 2 of our 3 tables - I’m willing to pay the higher price for service, but we still needed to get our own water and cups Overall, disappointing experience. ******Updated review***** I have reviewed professionally. The comment that I need to see a psychiatrist is an uncalled for personal attack and shows that the owner spends considerable time trawling reviewers history. The fact that the owner is willing to go to such lengths shows who the unbalanced one is. Rather than spending time attacking customers, it would be useful if you spent it improving on areas customers are providing you feedback on.

I was all excited to come and try the famous vanilla slice but was quite an upsetting experience. Within 5 mins being seated, the first waitress was very attentive and helpful with our orders. We waited for 10 mins and finally received my vanilla slice which looked collapsed and tasted average. Coffee was warm... We also ordered a chicken and leek pie that arrived another 20 mins later, which you can see from the photo... It was the size of the front part of the fork ($18)with a few chips and rockets. I was surprised on how small the serve was and checked with the waitress (a different one) who confirmed that was the normal size. I started taking photos of the food and another lady (with a name badge 'Ida' ) came to check. They turned around and said it was cut in half so we could share (so there was a second one that originally the waitress took back because they accidentally cut an extra). Another 5 mins wait and The Angus beef burger was a little dry but taste ok. The restaurant looks decent but I was expecting a much better experience and bigger portions of dishes with the price tags...

2.3 out of 5. It didn’t work for us here, sadly. Good points first. This cafe is in a prominent position on the Main Street. It’s often busy and can be a lovely sun trap on the right day like today. The key bad point is that it’s expensive here and noticeably so. A large long black is $6.50. A small skinny flat white with an extra shot is $5. One cannoli is $8.50. We thought the coffee was ordinary. The flat white was small as mentioned and too cool when it arrived. The long black was bitter and not pleasant to drink. The cannoli was nice but it needed to be. Overall the coffees, drinks and pastry felt 20% or so overpriced. Sorrento is an expensive area and the prices factor that in. You’re essentially paying for position I think as this is the first cafe you see when you enter the town proper. My recommendation would be to venture further and try other places.

We got 2 cakes take-away (1$ cheaper than having on a spot) and did have it there just from a plastic container instead of a proper plate. We ordered the famous vanilla slice and a piece of cheesecake. They both were ok but probably too sweet for me and with too much butter (I could feel some small pieces of not properly mixed butter in the cheesecake).
Olga O — Google review
Tried this place without any expectation for coffee..vanilla slice was alright, good thing was that it was not overtly sweet. Due to the crowd, we had to wait long for our order..coffee was only so so. Should probably have more staff to clear tables and serve quickly because there will always be the crowd when its Sorrento's famous slice!

Came here many years ago and had fond memories. However my visit last weekend left me disappointed and probably should have heeded the warnings from recent reviews. I arrived late on Sunday afternoon just before closing time and the store was still full with customers queuing for the famous vanilla slice. I ordered 4 slices to take home and share with the family. Also ordered a mocha to go, which was quite watered down. Upon arriving home to open the wrapped package, I was disappointed to see how the vanilla slices looked like. The taste was ok, however rest of the family didn’t bother to finish. I regularly get vanilla slices from a certain famous bakery in Carlton and this unfortunately doesn’t even come close.

the vanilla slice was yes delicious! but the rest of the food here is just average; ok burger ok sandwich ok fish and chips (fish were tiny) and the smashed avo was pricey at $15 something for some avocadoes on one thin sourdough ;_;

I enjoyed a fantastic extended lunch on a lovely Friday afternoon at Morgan's Sorrento. The setting was ideal for outdoor dining, allowing me to unwind and appreciate the stunning beach view. The quality of both the food and service exceeded my expectations. The tomato & burrata appetizer was visually striking and had outstanding flavors. Similarly, the goat cheese ravioli and local black mussels were equally impressive main courses. I am eager to revisit in order to explore more of their enticing menu offerings.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for quality food that’s both delicious and thoughtfully prepared! I had the mushroom risotto and it was absolutely delightful—creamy, perfectly cooked rice with a rich earthy flavor that wasn’t overpowering. The balance of seasoning was spot on, making every bite comforting and satisfying.

Unfortunately I had to write a review. Had a late lunch the other day. Beautiful day...sunny..great views as usual.. We ordered 2 fish burgers...2 non alcoholic drinks which came to just on $100... The food was just nice but padded out with fries. The drinks were from a can. Overall..pretty expensive..pretty ordinary. The service had no sole..no heart..particularly the waitress who simply just didn't want to be there.. Disappointing for such a great location.. Would I go again? Probably not....

⭐☆☆☆☆ We chose this restaurant for brunch mainly because of the beautiful view, which truly was the highlight. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. There were six of us and we spent around $400, but the food was very average and overpriced. My steak in particular was disappointing — I’ve had much better for half the price. I don’t mind paying premium prices for high-quality food for my family, but this simply didn’t deliver. The service was extremely poor. Our waiter, who was mature-aged, came across as rude and dismissive. When I asked about the types of margaritas available, his response was, “I don’t make it, there’s a machine.” When I pressed further about flavours, he just told me to look at the menu. On top of that, he didn’t even take our order — he told us to go up to the front and order ourselves. Yet when another couple arrived, he went straight over and happily took their order at the table. That felt both unprofessional and unfair. Overall, great view but overpriced food and shockingly bad service. Would not recommend

Came here on a Monday evening before a public holiday. A very relaxing place to have a meal with the wood fire going. The best thing (and what prompted this review) was the curry special: Sri Lankan Black Pork. The curry was a standout, with a perfect amount of heat and spices. It was so refreshing to have a good pub curry with visible bits of curry leaf, cinnamon and the charcoal coconut. Many, many compliments to the chef.

Brought our grandson for lunch for the first time and we were really disappointed. Beautiful location, lovely decor but the food was a real let down. We were the only ones there and thought the food would be great. Instead, it took quite a while to get it and my fish and grandson's and hubbies parmas were small and tough. Not cheap and not worth another chance...unfortunately they let themselves down terribly. Definitely need a new chef.

Great view, beer nice, service disappointing. We had the muscles which arrived with one piece of bread cut in half. When we finished the muscles, there was all this sauce and no bread left. I asked for more bread and said that will cost you $13:50. I said surely you could spare 1 more piece of bread. The answer was no. Staff are disgruntled, look miserable. Would not recommend this place if you want customer service.

Great location, beach view but extremely expensive. The restaurant has a modern look, also ample space for dinner. I had the salmon, it had a very nice crispy skin but my one was much smaller than my friends. The fish and chips was very battered, could not taste the fish. It's a perfect location, but they need to make some changes on prices and menu.

We had dinner here at the al fresco area overlooking the beach. The food was Mexican and the quality of the food was overall good. The ceviche was too sour but flavour wise it was good. Portion size is on the small side. Worth a visit for something different to the usual pub food around the place

Rusty's Cafe Bar and Grill is a beautiful location situated across from the shoreline and only a brief walk from the pier. It offers a relaxed ambiance, with amiable personnel and delectable cuisine such as seafood options like fish n chips, Parma, and calamari.
We stopped by Rusty’s Cafe Bar and Grill on a whim, and it was a great find! Though you need to order at the bar, the process was easy, and the service was lovely—friendly and welcoming. We tried the soup, which was delicious and full of flavour, and the salad was generously portioned, perfect for a light meal. Overall, a wonderful spot with tasty food and a relaxed vibe.

We thought we would give this place a try Sunday for lunch. Terrible! It starts with arriving at 2 o’clock for lunch, inside most of the tables were packed up. The guy that works there was taking an order to the table near us outside, and said “just letting u know there are no burgers left, we have just sold the last one”, followed by there is no flake left for the fish and chips, it is Whiting. When we went in to order, I ordered 2 BLAT’s, a thick shake, a Carlton Draught and a side of chips, $72.00. My sister orders the Roast Vegtable Frittata and a light beer,,and she was told they were out of the Frittata, and it would take half an hr to roast more vegetables so she changed her order to Waffles, $32.00. While waiting for the order the guy came out and said “we are out of Draught beer, and I could choose something. else”, to his credit he gave me a Perroni for the same price, but let me know that. Then he came out and said “we are out of chips, she should never have sold them to you without checking”, I asked if they had Wedges and he said “no, you can have hash browns if you like”. When we were leaving he said “apologies for the jousting, we got there in th end”. The meals were small and overpriced. We definitely won’t be going back, there are such good options at Sorrento don’t waste your money on this one.

We had friends visit from interstate and we wanted to take them to Sorrento for lunch. We found a carpark at Rusty's, so we decided to have lunch there. There were only a few things available from the menu. There was very limited alcohol to choose from, particularly the beer. They had run out of most drinks. My husband bought 2 glasses of wine and it cost $32. The food was overpriced for what we got. We eat out quite a bit. but we are not used to paying high prices for lunch.

Lovely people, good view of the beach, however the snack I purchased (Ham/Cheese croissant) was below par. Very dry and chewy, most likely not a fresh croissant and not the best on this occasion. Coffee was OK. Parking on site, plenty of dining places indoors and out.

3.7. Just a coffee stop today but a very good one. There’s a nice bay view from this cafe. There was some sun off and on and the blue water looked chilled but lovely anyway. The coffee was unexpectedly really good. We both loved it. Even though it was in the afternoon and getting on towards closing, the service here was cheery and friendly. We liked it here. We’ll be back one day for food.

Great little place. Made even better by the sarcastic barista with the blonde streak in his hair. He was an absolute crack up! Good portion sizes for breakfast and the black pudding is to die for! My only issue was that we were charged $5 for a minuscule serve of hollandaise (which is ridiculously cheap to make) which did not contain enough vinegar to flavour it. Also we did not receive a water bottle for our glasses. If we're ever in Sorrento again you can be sure that we'll be back! :)

I was deeply disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The customer service was shockingly rude. The food was both overpriced and completely tasteless, failing to meet even basic expectations. The behavior of the owner/manager displayed a complete lack of customer care and professionalism. Their attitude was not just unhelpful, but it bordered on contemptuous. I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

Delicious margarita pizza! One of the best I’ve ever eaten, the sauce base was amazing. Sat outside with dogs and the staff immediately accommodated us with two water bowls which stood out straight away. The bar staff were helpful and friendly and the food came out quick (bare in mind we came at around 4:40pm on a weekday) I will definitely be returning.

This place is a complete joke. We had a booking, showed up a couple of minutes early, and politely asked if we could be seated a little before our time. The waiter said “sure, that should be fine” and then led us straight to a table that was already taken by two women eating their dinner. I’ve never been more embarrassed in a restaurant …. pathetic. They told us to wait at the bar and grab a drink while they “sorted it out.” The drinks were stupidly overpriced, and by the time we finally got seated, the mood was already ruined. We ordered quickly hoping the food would make up for it. Big mistake. The food took forever, and to make it worse, the waiter dropped our chips on the floor on the way over. So we had to wait even longer. When the food did finally come out, it was honestly pathetic: • The steak that was meant to be medium-rare came out well-done and was like chewing leather. • The Caesar salad with chicken? Dry, flavourless, and the chicken was so rubbery it was impossible to eat. • The burger and chips looked and tasted like something you’d grab from McDonald’s except McDonald’s actually gets it right. • My pasta had zero flavour I had to drown it in salt just to make it edible. And the cherry on top? The guy who looked like the manager (heavily tattooed, you couldn’t miss him) had the worst attitude I’ve ever seen in hospitality. Rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. We finished as fast as we could and left immediately. Between the chaos with the booking, the overpriced drinks, the awful food, and the rude manager. This place is an absolute disaster. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. Not worth the money or your time.

This was a 5 star experience. We ordered a bunch of small plates and 1 main pasta. The food was incredible. Brisket burgers were a bit dry and lacking a bit of flavour, The squid did seem a bit rubbery tho but it was all outweighed by the quality of the other items. The flat bread and feta, olive and capers dip stole the show for me. Great food and vibe at the Conti

Service has been great, beers are overpriced unfortunately. Outdoor area is lovely and the outdoor heating was a nice touch. These legends opened up their home to us as an after party venue to conclude our wedding Nothing was ever a problem for them. A DJ in the centre of the restaurant, a crowd of already intoxicated people, even a mishap of wine bottles being smashed, the boys were happy to have us and always made us feel welcomed! Thankyou for letting us have the best night of our lives, and being such fun, inviting people! We will definitely be returning here to dine the next time we visit Sorrento! If you’re hosting a wedding and don’t want it to end early, give the team a call!

Very disappointing! I was excited about going here for my birthday dinner but was left disappointed. Firstly, I did enjoy the Foccacia. Entree was sizzling Prawns, very small Prawns with little flavour and not enough seasoning. Main was what I was really looking forward to. Lobster and prawn Ravioli. What can I say, it was filled with ricotta, quite dry and the pasta was very thick. It had 3 pieces of tiny lobster and 1 tiny prawn with no seasoning for $49. Not good at all! Dessert was the only shining light, I had the tiramisu which was delicious. Overall a very disappointing night out. It was definitely not worth the money. We won't be back.

we felt like we were back in italy at @sardo. an assuming, homely sardinian restaurant in sorrento. hidden in an alleyway, you wouldn’t think this place gets as exciting as it does. they are known for their exceptional private dining services but don’t underestimate their regular public dining - lively, and ohhh so delicious. dining on a summery saturday night, they had a live singer and guitarist playing italian classics. with a limoncello spritz in hand, vibes were 11/10. the food was well worth the wait. their focaccia was unique. a dreamy oily, golden crust sprinkled with flakey salt and a fluffy centre. burrata was textbook delicious with tomato and a balsamic reduction. their eye fillet carpaccio was so thin and tenderised it was falling apart on my fork, zingy and peppery in flavour too. seared pistachio crusted tuna sitting on a pillow of whipped ricotta….need I say more?!? this was wow. the fear of getting 4 tiny bites of pasta when ordering ravioli was completely forgotten when this gigantic burrata ravioli drowned in a spicy sausage ragu arrived, so hearty and filling! my friends report the steak was spot on. skin-on fries and a fresh salad too, it was a perfect meal. the only pic i got of their tiramisu was me finishing the last bite oops! (this was airy and sweet, much more cream than biscuits). while the service was definitely delayed (e.g. long wait for menus, asking for a water jug multiple times, 1 hour between courses) the lively atmosphere and music completely made up for it. I think it’s more enjoyable to dine somewhere where there is slowness is more a sense of a relaxation and welcoming, rather than feeling rushed and pushed to eat and leave. this felt like european dining - effortless, long and so fun. the only difference was the melbourne pricing.

Nestled in the main shopping strip of Sorrento, Sardo is a great place to have food, lunch or dinner. The flavours of Sardinia truly come alive with all the dishes we tried -- Seafood Fregola, Lobster Spaghettini, calamari (small portion-- nice sourcing too) to name a few. We admire the inclusion of various local wine producers in the area, choice of a Mornington Chardonnay was very good. Service -- authentic, attentive and relaxed. Great team. Keep up the great dishes and we hope to keep on having great evenings there in the year ahead!

Food was great, well balanced and unique flavors. Our Italian waiter was also lovely, very hospitable and had a great understanding of the menu and wine list. The ambiance is cute in general however the music wasn’t quite right for the venue and timing - we were listening to 4am clubbing hits at 5:45pm a - it was awkward at best.
Arunima K — Google review
A Sardinian inspired restaurant with a nice venue and good staff, but drinks and food that are shy of the high price. The venue is a buildout from the back of another, accessed through a romantic (reminds me heavily of Rome) alleyway. The back courtyard is vibrant and with the open night sky it’s a fantastic location to eat. It would be nice however to follow through the romantic lighting from the alleyway to the inside of the venue and courtyard. Service was fast, friendly and vibrant. The front of house team are on point. The foods were lacking however. The Burrata I had was fantastic, however 4 tiny pieces of bread seemed a little slim for the amount of cheese provided. The seafood lasagne, although suggested by a staff member as one of the best items was not great. The flavours were bland and almost seemed like it had been defrosted and cooked. If it wasn’t for the pile of saffron on top it was barely worth the price. To end, an affogato plate for $22 is very high, however I understand there is a cocktail glass of two scoop gelato provided this price still seems too high for what it is. Wine menu is very good, however cocktails are uninspired and could use a spruce. In summary Sardo has some things done right, especially when it comes to the venue and FOH staff. Improvements need to be made when it comes to flavour and price. With so many Italian restaurants in the area it’s a very competitive market and Sardo has the right stuff to be competing with the best, with some tweaks to the kitchen and bar I’m sure the high prices would not be a problem.

During my first visit to The Rasoi in Sorrento, I had a genuine taste of India. The service was satisfactory and the ambiance was pleasant. However, a minor issue arose as cold air from outside caused the food to cool down quickly, resulting in one star being deducted. Nonetheless, it was still a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The cuisine itself was delightful; I savored dishes such as butter chicken, Rogan Josh, and chicken 65 wings – all expertly cooked.
Came to eat with my friends, ordered a HSP which came quickly and was fantastic, perfect amount of food in the medium size. Service was great, was the chef’s birthday so we were very kindly given complimentary curry and naan which was also great. Great to speak to the team as well. Highly recommend.

Worst byrani, I ever had in my life. I don't even have a spoon of it. No any waiter to complain about food. I think they don't even care about that. I have chilli panner, garlic nan( don't feel like fresh, not hot enough) and mango lassai. Lassai was good enough, panner 3/5 ( bit oily) And BIG NO for byrani( no seasoning, no any sides and overcooked rice)

🇮🇳🍛Nice Indian cuisine with Indian staff. 📌 The food was okay, but the portion sizes were not quite reasonable for the price. Be cautious before making payment — we weren’t provided with a bill. We visited on a public holiday, and they charged nearly double the menu price, mentioning a surcharge of around 16–30%. Based on our rough calculation, the total should have been around $50–60 AUD, but we were charged $98. When we asked for the bill, they said the printing machine wasn’t working.

is very cold in the restaurant. The atmosphere inside lacking and strain layout of the table But the food is very delicious, the price of red wine is quite acceptable. Looking from the outside, it a kebab shop.

My friend and I spent the day at a nearby beach and by the time we got to this place we were HUNGRY. The customer service was absolutely fantastic from the very beginning. And then the food came out and wow. The burger we had was absolutely phenomenal. The chips were perfectly salted, and we left feeling absolutely satisfied. Will be returning.

Food is good but DONT order it online it says it will take 20-30 minutes but it takes well over an hour, even the restaurant admitted it would never be ready in 20-30 minutes…. They didn’t even apologise when I then had to wait an extra 15 minutes ontop of the hour delay because the delivery driver hadn’t left….

We went there around 5.30 in the evening. The place was not very crowded, the arrangement was nice with two types of seating. We tried out Biryani, Cheese Naan, Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken Masala and Mango lassies. The food arrived without too much of waiting and it was delicious and the portion size was also very good. We couldn't finish up the mango lassies since they were too big for an individual. The girls who were serving there were pleasant and helpful. Prices were also pretty reasonable, overall it was a good experience.

The Rasoi is a gem in Sorrento. Exceptional food, excellent service, and a lovely ambience combine to make an unforgettable meal. Highly recommended. We’ll definitely be returning next time we’re in town.😊😊👌

Ocean Beach Pavilion is the ultimate beach club experience, seamlessly blending a café, bar, restaurant, and kids' playground into one vibrant venue. Nestled along Ocean Beach Road in Sorrento and marked by towering palm trees, this spot offers a lively atmosphere filled with great music and delicious share plates inspired by South-East Asian cuisine. The friendly staff enhance the welcoming vibe as guests enjoy refreshing cocktails and mouthwatering snacks that are hard to resist.
The coffee shop is perfectly located for you to see the world go by on the main street. Situated at the end of the street opposite side to the water. I like the seats outside the restaurant with cushions that surprisingly haven't been stolen yet. Coffee was perfect strength. Enjoyed the taste. Lots of snacks available to enjoy with the coffee

Let me tell you… Every year we spend a few days in Sorrento and for the last two years we have eaten and enjoyed some cocktails and wine at Pavilion, however this year we went for drinks and some snacks, my friend and I ordered Mojitos, lady at the bar had no idea what a Mojito was, the other bartender had to explain to her and together made the worst Mojitos, they tasted like a bitter lemonade, they added two leaves of mint and a couple of lime wedges. We decided to order snacks, again while ordering as coeliac for a gluten free tacos and she replied we don’t have gluten free even though it was specified on their menu, these bartenders were clueless, we tried Margaritas again sour and too salty!! What happened here are they under new management? Food was poor in quality and taste, we have decided not to return again. People train your staff!!!

Fresh lobster and prawn rolls, served with truffle fries. Delicious! Plenty of seating, large drink selection and friendly staff. A relaxing spot for catch ups with friends.

I cannot speak highly enough of this venue ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from the cheerful friendly staff to the great range of tap beers it has a very open and light atmosphere nicely set out with ample places to sit inside or outside. The mighty AMA band that I'm with played three sets from 4 pm to 7 pm to an appreciative audience of die hard followers and some foot tapping locals. We also had a great in between sets dinner the Nasi Goreng was super and very authentic!!! ..they have live music here regularly its the place to go in Sorrento for a relaxing chilled out vibe. The manager Shane looked after us really well so a huge thanx from the AMA band for his warmth and hospitality

If you like little to no service from teenage staff that don't care, this is the place. After seeing lots of ads on Social media I decided to check this out with some friends. It was disappointing, bad service and average food. With just a bit more effort this place could be a nice spot. It's not even trying!

The food was really yum yummy and the staff was very friendly all ways smiling 😊 happy to help . The home made chips was awesome 🤩

We had such a lovely experience today! Beautiful cocktails, amazing little snacks (sorry no pics of the snacks because we inhaled them! They were that good!) Service was great, always smiling definitely will be back!!! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a chill atmosphere, great food and amazing cocktails!

Sage Sorrento is a charming eatery that radiates warmth and light, offering both indoor and outdoor dining options. Nestled on Ocean Beach Road, this delightful spot features a stunning outdoor deck complete with a cozy fireplace, heaters, and twinkling fairy lights. The menu showcases classic Italian woodfired pizzas alongside unique creations like the Hot Sand pizza topped with San Marzano cheese, salami, goat cheese, and basil pesto.
We worth the short walk down the road. Fantastic food. The bread, pizza, salad, and calamari were fresh and delicious. We sampled the local Portsea Rose and Pinot. Finished off with delicious tiramisu and chocolate tart.

Sage Sorrento is such a gem! The pizzas are absolutely incredible - thin, crispy, and packed with flavour. You can taste the quality and care in every bite, and it’s clear everything’s made with real passion. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and full of good energy. The staff are so friendly and attentive, and the owner’s enthusiasm for great food and service really shines through. Easily one of the best dinner spots in Sorrento - can’t wait to come back again soon! 🍕✨

A Culinary Gem in Sorrento — Sage Restaurant Dining at Sage was an unforgettable experience that awakened every sense. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, refined, and inviting — a perfect blend of coastal charm and Italian sophistication. We indulged in a selection of Italian classics that were nothing short of divine. The pasta was exquisitely prepared — rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The pizza had a heavenly crust and vibrant toppings that transported us straight to Naples. And the tiramisu? Silky, delicate, and utterly addictive. Every bite felt like a celebration. To complete the experience, we sipped on beautifully brewed coffee that was bold yet smooth — the ideal finale to a flawless meal. Sage is more than a restaurant; it’s a love letter to Italian cuisine. The service was impeccable, the ambiance serene, and the food unforgettable. We’ll be dreaming of this meal for a long time. Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic Italian flavors with a touch of magic.

We dined in last night. Food was great! Staff were run off their feet but really helpful!!! Three of us enjoyed our pasta and fish dishes while the fourth waited for their pizza. The wait was more than an hour and she had to take it home in the end. The owner didn’t prioritise restaurant pizza meal coming out with the other meals. This was a shame because it will stop us from returning unless rectified.
Maria M — Google review
Glad we were in Sorrento in the off season, because I bet Sage gets super busy in the summer. Everything was perfect - beef & lamb ragu, peach & pomegranate salad and wood fired bread. Yum!
Lori P — Google review
The atmosphere was lively and the food looked good. Unfortunately let down by overstretched waitstaff as per other comments. For us made worse by the lack of any service for 30 minutes and later arrivals having orders taken ahead of us. We decided to make a discreet exit, explained the reason to the manager and left (receiving no apology). The sting in the tail was a $30 ‘no show’ charge to our credit card a couple of days later for which our request for a refund remains unacknowledged a week later….

Really friendly attentive staff. Excellent food. We enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant. Nice and warm on a cold rainy evening.

Nice service here. Welcoming. I can't recall not wanting to finish or should I say unable to finish a pizza before. I ordered the only chicken pizza on the menu. It was bizarre. It had Luke warm crispy chips on it And uncooked passata, not tomato paste. My partner ordered a vegetarian pizza and couldn't finish it. And we ordered a garlic pizza just in case and that wasn't finished.

25Jag's Kebabs Sorrento

Kebab shop
Jag's Kebabs Sorrento is a delightful spot for food lovers, especially if you're in the mood for late-night bites. Their HSP (Halal Snack Pack) is a standout, featuring deliciously flavored and generously sized smothered fries that are sure to satisfy your cravings. While prices may be on the higher side, they align with what you'd anticipate in a bustling tourist destination.
Loved the place serving good food till late nights. Best hots chips and kebabs in that area. Customer service was excellent.
Arshdeep H — Google review
Waste of money. It’s feels like they are doing competition to serve the bad food as much as they can, also the staff is very rude, completely unprofessional and talking style is very disrespectful. If you love your money and don’t want to throw it in the bin then don’t think about buying anything from this shop.
Md H — Google review
I had a very disappointing experience at this kebab shop. I ordered a chicken kebab, but it lacked flavour and wasn’t enjoyable. I also want to highlight the poor customer service; the staff didn't know how to interact with customers. When I asked one of them to cut my kebab, he told me he couldn't help with that. The priorities for customers seem to be very low. The kebab had very little sauce, and the sauce that was there didn't taste good. To make matters worse, the kebab was cold. I do not recommend this shop to anyone.
Faria K — Google review
Ordered medium mixed HSP at 10pm. Man working there told us to wait out in the cold and closed the door of the restaurant with no other customers inside while he had a yarn with someone else that had walked in the restaurant while he prepared our order. Portion size for medium kebab was good but 20$ felt too much for meat covered with chips. He put so much sauce it was spilling out of the container and gave no bags to put it in. Probably should’ve trusted my gut with this one, there was cut meat on the grill covered with pot that he used. Got terrible food poisoning very shortly after consuming the HSP. Wouldn’t come back. And wouldn’t recommend.
Saleha A — Google review
Do not get the Hsp from here.Way too much meat with barely any chips and all of It drowned in sauces.5$ for a can of soft drink as well.
Joel S — Google review
Ordered the tandoori and butter chicken HSP. It was absolutely disgusting. Meat was rubbery weird and full of chicken skin pieces. One of the worst HSPs that I have ever eaten and by no means is that exaggeration. If you want edible food, please avoid.
Maneth B — Google review
I will never in my life time order from here again. Waited 3HRS for my order to be delivered even after multiple phone calls and an estimated time of 45mins-1HR, when it finally turned up the milkshakes were warm and smelt off, the chips were stone cold and awful I wouldn't even feed it to my dog, the kebabs were also stone cold and had stuck to the plastic so I had to pour the contents out into a bowel and I still couldn't even stomach that. Disappointed is an understatement. I genuinely feel ill that I even attempted to eat this but after three hours of waiting almost all menulog deliveries had been stopped as it was nearing 10pm. Fortunately I was able to reorder elsewhere just before they closed and they delivered a HOT decent meal within 20minutes. I can understand the pressure of this time of year but don't take on any more orders if you cant take on the workload!
Keira — Google review
Had the HSP and really liked the flavors and size of the smothered fries. A little pricey, but it’s not more than you’d expect for a tourist town/destination.

Sorrento Portsea RSL Club is located near the gentle front beach, offering a perfect spot for relaxation and leisure activities. Visitors can enjoy picnics on the foreshore, take scenic walks like the Millionaires Walk, or indulge in refreshing swims while keeping an eye out for playful dolphins in the clear waters. For those seeking some wave action, the back beach on the Bass Strait side of the peninsula is a great option.
We love the Sorrento Portsea RSL. It's such a relaxed warm, friendly and welcoming place run by devoted locals. We especially love the flag raising ceremony every Australia Day where locals speak of their relatives who fought for the freedom we enjoy today, a member sings our National anthem and a great BBQ is supplied. You must get there early to make sure you get a seat. We'll worth the visit and great to support the RSL

TOM katz yesterday to see Lisa,Bade Harry Mullary and Sully Bros...great band but horrible venue....So many annoying pre school children going crazy one would think it was a wiggles concert.

An update re the food offering here at Sorrento Portsea RSL. Firstly, Sorrento Thai (under the same roof) is still as wonderful as ever. Now N'Tice Catering is providing a Fresh N Tasty menu in the RSL's dining spaces - Jack's Bar & Lounge and The Terrace. The menu is pictured here. It is available on Friday Members nights from 5pm and also Sunday evenings during Tom Katz regular weekly Live Music shows, again from 5pm. Would recommend you give the menu a try, as it might well be the best value in Sorrento. Drinks are at value prices too.

Friendly helpful staff. Located in an out of the way spot, you'll have to look for it. Volunteer run & no pokies. Live music every Sunday. Small menu in bar/tavern & Thai with larger menu on the other side. Nice selection of RSL memorabilia

3.5/5 Called in for a pre dinner drink initially. The service was old school as you'd expect and friendly enough The drinks were all commercial CUB beers but the shiraz was good. All drinks for dinner are over the bar. We ate at the Thai restaurant which is in the club. The service there was very Thai and very welcoming. The food was alright for a regional restaurant with some good options. The same peanut sauce was used for all the entrees being tofu, curry puffs and roti bread. For mains we had fried rice which was ok. Rather plain overall. My massaman beef was thin strip's of meat, not chunky pieces but it was surprisingly still ok. The meat was tender, and the curry sauce ok too. The boiled rice was a bit dry, but ok too. Overall this wasn't a bad night, the service definitely helped provide a laugh. Or maybe it was wine? Haha
