Nestled on the mountainside, Chez Louisette - Auberge du Lienz is a casual spot perfect for hikers to enjoy a regional specialty called garbure, a slow-cooked stew of duck and beans. The restaurant offers delicious wines and delightful desserts like Tarte aux Myrtilles. While service can be slow during peak times, the friendly staff make it worth the visit.
Lovely restaurant and helpful staff allowed me to make a great choice for lunch. Saw it on a tv program in Australia and had to visit to try it out. Well worth the effort!!

I ate lunch here twice. It’s on the side of a mountain. The second time, I hiked up from Barèges. It’s very casual; hiking clothes are fine. This is the perfect place to try the regional soup/stew called garbure, a slowed-cooked mixture of duck and beans simmered with a ham hock and lots of good things. A sort of cousin to cassoulet, in my opinion. And Chez Louisette offers delicious wines and lovely desserts. I enjoyed a Tarte aux Myrtilles. A very busy place, but the servers are friendly, even to Americans with limited French. Merci!

Le Bodegon is a delightful French restaurant in Lourdes, known for its delicious dishes and superb sauces. The menu offers a variety of options, from tenderloin to pan-seared foie gras, all done to perfection. The friendly and efficient staff ensure a pleasant dining experience, while the cozy atmosphere adds to the overall charm of the place. Guests can also enjoy a nice selection of wines and desserts.
Good quality and super friendly, young staff. The food was delicious. We took the 55€ menu, and it was worth every penny. I recommend this restaurant. They serve good Spanish style dishes. 👌
Carlos M — Google review
After reading the amazing reviews, I decided to book a table for dinner. Unfortunately I did not enjoy the food one bit. Service was slow. Staff were cold and the linguine with prawn I had was so salty and I couldn’t even swallow. I ate all the prawns but left the linguine. The staff asked if everything was good and I gave my honest feedback. The staff apologised and that’s about it. There are better options elsewhere.
Deniece F — Google review
This restaurant offers classic French dishes that are very well-executed. The waitress was kind enough to toast the bread basket as per our request. We got the veal cutlet and beef tenderloin with pepper sauce. We savoured every bite. The place also has an elegant/classic French ambiance.
Kezia C — Google review
We came here after an attempt at dinner at a paella place which didn’t work out was a understatement. We ended up in here with little choice because it was late but we were so glad. It’s a classic brasserie on the main stretch with excellent A/C (which is a luxury here), friendly bartender and service staff. First, they gave us a carafe of cold water without asking which was amazing cuz we were hot and (cold!) water doesn’t just come when you sit down like in the US. If you don’t ask correctly here, most places would just try to give you a small bottle of water with charge. Sorry for my dissertation about my excitement of water.. The food is what I care about the most and they were all excellent! I had the best escaroles and fois gras, one with apples recommended by the bartender. I read mixed reviews of this place but maybe we chose the better food so we were very happy with it. The steaks that were ordered for the table were too undercooked. The bartender assured us it’s OK to order medium rare to medium but they definitely came out closer to rare to bleu. We didn’t say anything because that’s obviously the chef’s preference not the customer’s lol. The mushrooms sauce served with it was great though. Overall, we enjoyed it a lot with both the food and the service.

Enjoyed our tenderloin and recommended regional red wine. Tenderloin done to perfection.... The pan seared foie gras was a winner. We walked in without reservation and had no issues. Staff were all friendly and efficient. Price is reasonable Visited mid dec

Lourdes can be such a tourist trap. Ate a wonderful healthy generous omelet and salad, and saw very nice platters pass by. Great for families too. Recommend highly

Cosy atmosphere, attentive service, carefully and creatively presented dishes, a tiramisu to remember.... the only downside was that the salad portions were too soggy, limp in texture. not crunchy enough.

Thank you very much, George, Nicolas and other servers and also, those inside the kitchen for always a good meal for me. Glad to be back and to see that almost all tables were again full of happy people excited to have their meals.

Hotel
The french restaurant Le Viscos is a cozy inn within Pyrénées National Park that offers warm quarters, refined dining, and breakfast. The kitchen produces amazing food with 5-star quality, and the service is helpful and fun. There's a cool old church in the village, and it's perfect for group meals.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Le Viscos, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in a picturesque setting, this hotel offers breathtaking views that make it the perfect getaway for nature lovers and those looking for a tranquil retreat. The moment you step into the hotel, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a sense of calm, thanks to the beautiful surroundings. The rooms are spacious, elegantly decorated, and offer panoramic views of the landscape, Waking up to the sound of nature and enjoying the view from our window was a highlight of the stay. The restaurant, with its refined French cuisine, offers an exquisite blend of flavor and artistry. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is warm and elegant, with an inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the scenery. The outdoor terrace is particularly special, offering a magnificent view while you enjoy your meal. The menu is a carefully curated selection of traditional and modern French dishes, each one more delightful than the last every dish is prepared with the freshest ingredients and presented like a work of art. The flavors were balanced and nuanced, making each bite a memorable experience. What sets this restaurant apart even further is the impeccable service. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the dishes and wine pairings, and genuinely passionate about providing a great dining experience. Their attention to detail, from ensuring wine glasses are always filled to timing the courses perfectly, made the evening feel seamless and special. Overall, Le Viscos offers not just a place to relax and unwind, but a culinary experience that is truly unforgettable. The combination of beautiful accommodation, breathtaking scenery, and a world-class French restaurant makes this destination absolutely worth a visit. Whether you’re a foodie or simply someone who enjoys fine dining in a beautiful setting, this is a must-visit! Also we met the chef who explained to us everything about the dishes.

Absolutely love this place! twowheeltours has stayed at this great hotel many times over the years and it NEVER fails to disappoint. Family run and they really know how to offer the best service in both hospitality at the restaurant and in their accommodation. Thank you and we cannot wait to stay with you again in the future.

I visited the restaurant in September 2024 for an evening meal. It was had been looking forward to this experience for some time and I wasn’t disappointed. The fine food and wine were exceptional but even better were the family and staff of Le Viscos. We were really well looked after; the service was brilliant. Even the diners near us were really nice people. I would love to come back and would certainly recommend Le Viscos to anyone!

Superb family-run hotel. We felt so looked after following a long randonnee in the mountains. Fantastic breakfast, picnic (on request) and dinner using local produce. Beautifully located in the charming village of Saint-Savin. Easily accessible by taxi/car/bike, not so much by public transport.
Rosie G — Google review
We had a special dinner here but did not stay at the hotel. The meal was fabulous. I don't know when I'll be in the area again but if I ever am, I'll be back. Courses were well paced, service was minimally attentive (in true French fashion), every bite was exquisite. You can't go wrong.

The secret of Saint-Savin 🥰, Le Viscos offers an experience that feels both intimate and welcoming, as though you’ve been invited into a family’s home. The traditional French cuisine is prepared with exquisite care, each dish praising the region's flavours. From the formidable soup to the amazingly tender lamb, every bite reflects the authenticity and passion behind the cooking, the local culture and stunning surroundings. What makes Le Viscos truly special is the warmth of the family who runs it. Their hospitality feels effortless, making you feel not just welcome but genuinely at home.

Stepping back into the 90s, charming and well kept, dining room has not changed in 30years it seemed (which is not a bad thing). Dinner was nice but not great, journey to the 90s in terms of style and decoration a bit pricey for what it is (3course 55Euro, 4course 82Euro), Service was sketchy (young lady was nice, but older lady way past retirement was both hostess and assistant waiter looked us up and down upon arrival, empty dining room and offered the worst table, just before main course she came with a pen and paper and asked my wife to spell her name (for the birthday candle plate and I had preordered and name provided!!). Nice evening, but not worth the money.
ToFeMa — Google review
I think it is the fourth time I come back to Le Viscos during the last 6 or 7 years. It is a good hotel with a fine restaurant on a fantastic location. However, it is becoming too expensive for the quality offered overall, despite their good service. In my room, on the second floor, the hot water was just warm and not hot. When checking out I shared this to the owner. Will I return? Well, if the prices keep going up I will check other places as well.

La Tasca is a laid-back chain restaurant that offers traditional Spanish tapas, paellas, and desserts. Located in the heart of the Midi-Pyrenees region, it provides a mix of French cuisine and breakfast options. The restaurant has a good atmosphere with pleasant service and high-quality food. Customers can enjoy a well-priced daily menu with generous portions and delicious desserts. Additionally, La Tasca features outdoor covered seating, locally brewed beer, and friendly English-speaking staff.
Found this gem on our last night in Luz where we had the nicest meal of our trip. Its only about 5 minutes walk from the centre of the village. A few tapas to start with (Calamar was delicious) and a selection of mains - all of which were lovely. We sat on the terrace which overlooks the mountains. Nice atmosphere & background music. Owner very friendly and took time to chat and answer questions about the area. We would have gone back if we'd had another night there

A cozy restaurant with a simple and intense smell "eau de aisselle". We ate a fantastic mutton meat, very delicious! Like a sheepskin coat, a little bit difficult to cut with ikea knife. We didn't eat anything else because nobody asked if we want a dessert.

Very good food, at a modest price. The staff is very friendly and speaks fluent English.

I loved this place so much I came here back to back. Here are my highlights: 1) Food and Presentation: Caesar Salad - amazingly crispy and lightly breaded chicken Suspended Trout and Shrimp - flavorful and juicy Suspended Curry Chicken - tender chicken Frites - perfectly cooked, crispy and light Fleur de Medieval - tasy and stylish presentation 2) Service - the staff went above and beyond to make my party happy. They also spoke English. They were attentive and even made accommodations for special cocktails. Nina (the owner) was incredibly personable. 3) Atmosphere - we sat on the patio. Good music. The patio overlooks the mountains, so we had a pretty good view of the Thunderstorm. Thoroughly impressed. I will definitely be back.

Pleasant place. Food reasonable. Set menu 22e or a more expensive one. House wine fine.
Simon T — Google review
Very pleasant staff, but very overpriced and poor quality good. Clearly frozen calamari, soggy and tasteless. The main course, fleau mediaeval, beef on a strange spiked device, was mainly gristle and fatty, very poor quality meat, and certainly not worth €30. Having complained we were offered a couple of digestifs, hardly compensation for such a poor meal. Really recommend avoiding this restaurant.

Restaurant La Bergerie chez Rosette is a charming, traditional family restaurant with beautiful decor and generous portions. The Garbure soup is highly recommended as a starter, perfect for cold weather. The omelette and magret de canard are both delicious choices. Despite being secluded, it's worth the trip for the lovely traditional food and rural atmosphere. The menu des randonneurs offers a delightful combination of fried eggs, streaky bacon, potatoes "peasant" style, salad and beer.
A lovely, traditional family restaurant. The decor was beautiful. The portions were generous. We had the Garbure soup as a starter. We shared it between the two of us and it was more than enough! Nestled in the charming village of Lortet, "Le Mont d'Aure" is a delightful restaurant run by Maximilien and Michael. The menu offers a feast for the taste buds with dishes like prawns in garlic and fine herbs cream sauce, snails in Mediterranean sauce, and beef filet in red wine sauce. The veranda provides a picturesque view of a mountain stream where children play during summer, while inside, guests can enjoy the warm fireplace and beautiful scenery.
Amazing discovery on our path: the restaurant " Le Mont d'Aure" in the small village of Lortet held by Maximilien and Michael. The "Menu du jour" was just a festival for our tastebuds: prawns in a garlic and fine herbs cream sauce, snails in a Mediterranean sauce, beef filet in red wine sauce with crispy french fries, strawberry cake, belgium waffle with melted chocolate and a great selection of red wine. It was simply delicious! We spent a fun evening with the welcoming, kind and dedicated staff ! Their restaurant is tastefully decorated giving a warm and cosy atmosphere and providing the customers with charming views : impressive cliffs from their terrasse on one side and beautiful river from their romantic balcony on the other. What a pearl of a place! Gourmet food, reasonable prices, kind staff, gorgeous location, and more than generous owners! C.H & C.H

(Translated by Google) My family and I came to this inn just outside Luz Saint Sauveur. It's definitely worth venturing outside the tourist center to try this trattoria's dishes! The atmosphere is warm, as is the owner's warm welcome! We chose three menus, and all the courses were delicious: from the soup to the dessert. Having never tried Garbure soup, I was very impressed! The meat and cured meats, all homemade, are very tasty and hearty! If I really have to make a comment: I like my meat rare, and here I wasn't asked how done. However, it's in keeping with the Auberge de Viella's style of dining, and the meat was succulent, accompanied by fries that... I just can't make at home! Not to mention the desserts! The menu is tailored to the inn, with a good variety of products and wines. However, if I return (and I will return!), I would take the menu again!

(Translated by Google) The restaurant of this inn is a great discovery. Located in the center of the village, a few parking spaces are available near the church. The small terrace (remember to book) is in the shade. The interior seems very warm for a good meal by the fireplace in winter. The manager, a local shepherd, is very welcoming, has a great sense of humor and a superb local accent. The menu is both limited (certainly a guarantee of quality) but complete, we were able to taste the gourmet salad, the stewed pork, the cheese plate, the chocolate mousse and a fromage blanc. To our great regret, there was no more blueberry tart left ;-). Everything was very good (even our daughter's "simple" minced steak) generous and tasty plates! Great place recommended by a friend, herself a convinced one, so if we can encourage others to go there, it is with pleasure! If the opportunity arises, we will definitely return.

But once you get past that and take that into account, you'll be treated to a truly bucolic encounter. The products are "local," from their farm. No fuss, no fuss. Everything is delicious. We go there for the simplicity, the conviviality, and the good taste of things. Take this culinary adventure philosophically; you'll encounter Joy. The hotel provides clean and comfortable accommodations, some with mountain views, and includes amenities such as a restaurant, bar, solarium, and parking. Guests can enjoy delicious French cuisine at the on-site restaurant.
My dad and I went for lunch on a Sunday and we had a great time. The food was excellent. Personally I went for the Pierre salad for starters and then had the ris de veau in bouchée à la reine. Really recommend it as it’s exquisite. Overall great food and reasonably priced.

The room smelled like cat pee, it had dirty sheets, and no AC meant the window had to be open all night but that resulted in a large number of mosquitos entering the room. The beds had their winter blankets on despite being 38 degrees that day so you had to choose between being covered and sweating and not bit by mosquitos or the opposite. Pick your poison or stay at any other hotel if you can.

Nice and clean hotel about 10 min from Lourdes. Nice views if you get a Mountain View room. Rooms are a bit small but clean and Nice. Parking included. Location is a bit isolated, no options around to eat, etc.
Mauricio S — Google review
The hotel was well located for our trip. The rooms were reasonably sized although our room lacked an air conditioner. Leaving the balcony doors open let in a lot of outside noise. That was our biggest issue. The breakfasts and dinners were reasonable but not brilliant. There wasn’t a great selection at breakfast. We appreciated the free use of their washroom. Definitely cheaper than the laundry service at other hotels.

I would describe it as typically French hotel, room is small but our room has a new bathroom and work drain! Restaurant food is great as I had a four course meal and price is great for the quality of food.

Very busy but the staff coped fine. The food lacked character though and was very average. Also fruit with every course...my starter was trout, chèvre and fruit. Weird. It has a following but I guess it's the locals.

Le Van Gogh Brasserie Pizzeria, located in the heart of Lourdes, offers a warm and friendly atmosphere with attentive staff. The brasserie is open every day except Tuesday evenings and all day on Wednesdays. Visitors have praised the welcoming and smiling servers as well as the delicious meals with generous portions. Despite its unassuming exterior, this spot surprises guests with excellent homemade pizzas and calzones that come highly recommended.
Very good experience. We visited this place twice in our 2 day trip. We tasted the meat , the squid, the shrimps, burgers, and pizzas... the quality and taste of the food is amazing, and portions are good. Service is friendly and quick, our waiter in the 2 times was valentin. 1 thing they should reconsider is the WC cleaning to be scheduled and adding a cover (lunettes) to their toilet. Highly recommended

Decent, but food was expensive, service also slow and lots of mistakes (why it takes 5 minutes to get salt). Atmosphere is decent but lacks lights outside and tables were sticky (chairs included). And in the end, everything comes with fries with a premium price. I do not recommend.

We had lunch yesterday, we where told that they didn't have pizza after they served the drinks so complicated to leave. We had 3 salads. The italien one is really filling, the octupus a little less. Fries are 5€ an extra portion which seems to be the price in all restaurants.the restaurant was full and the waiter was very busy but nice.we chose this restaurant because we parked our car close by and it was the only one in the road. We then went to the sanctuary and reaslised there where many more. We should have waited a little while to be completly satisfied.

Absolutely fell in love with Hospice de Rioumajou! We (several families) were tent camping nearby and decided to have dinner here, and it was the best decision. The food was simple and very delicious, served generously and incredibly quickly – perfect after a day of adventuring! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We even got to try Génépi (their local traditional strong herbal liqueur), which was the perfect finish to our dinner. It prepared us wonderfully to go back to our camping place, enjoy the warmth of the fire, and gaze at the stars with a glass of wine

Indian Grill is a perfect spot for lovers of Indian cuisine in Tarbes. The air-conditioned dining areas offer a refreshing escape from the heat, and the establishment also provides takeaway and delivery options. The restaurant boasts a wide variety of traditional Indian specialties prepared by skilled chefs. Despite its unassuming exterior, visitors are pleasantly surprised by the inviting ambiance, quality of food, and top-notch service. Diners recommend trying the Mix Grill for an impressive presentation and flavorful experience.
Went there on my birthday in July. Did not expect much but was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, quality of food and service. We took the Mix Grill which was tasty and served on a hot plat. Quite a show, Then, we took Lamb curry, Daal and Nans. All was very nice although I would have preferred more spices and chilli. Suggestion - order both salty and sweet curry so that you can try both flavors. We ordered salty ones and found them to give less rounded impression. Prices are reasonable. Service is first come first served. Patron is gentle and friendly.

If you are in Tarbes and in search of Indian food, this is your best option. We ate at the restaurant midweek and ordered a range of dishes. The service was very friendly and fast. The food was delicious. If you're from the UK or US, the tastes your used to won't be the same as dishes have been adjusted somewhat to the local palette, but still very taste. The ambience is very basic/simple.

(Translated by Google) Worst restaurant I have ever sat in. First of all 5 dishes the fries were cold for 3 dishes, Then the ribs (pork) were still frozen in their centers, the beef was very undercooked and lukewarm. Finally, the icing on the cake was that we had the pleasure of finding the meat label when we returned Which has the advantage, I grant you, of knowing that your meat was well frozen at the start if you had any doubts when trying to cut it. Of course we left the restaurant wondering if the little we had eaten was going to trigger food poisoning. You have to give back to Caesar what is Caesar's, the waiter was friendly (Original) Le pire restaurant dans lequel j’ai été assis. Very good restaurant in Castelnau Magnoac. Exzellent food. We had the menu, baked Camembert, duckbreast with mango, rasberry tarte as dessert for 28 Euro. Very priceworthy. We'll be back 😁

The Grand Hôtel Gallia & Londres Bike & NUXE Spa is a luxurious hotel located in a prime area of Lourdes, offering refined accommodations, a plush restaurant, and a spa. The hotel also features a golf course, entertainment activities, and a bar with terrace. Situated near popular attractions such as Castle Fort Pyrenean Museum and Sanctuary of Lady of Lourdes, it provides easy access to the city's landmarks.
My family and I recently stayed here and it was perfectly located to the grotto/sanctuary at Lourdes. My parents both have bad arthritis and walking can be a lot for them, and the proximity to sites was really key to our stay. The food at the restaurant was really great, especially the dinner in the bottom restaurant where we had really great duck breast and salad. Also the service through the hotel was top notch. For example, when we went to the wrong restaurant on the first and the manager checked, he personally walked us all the way to the correct restaurant on the bottom floor. He didn’t have to do that but he did and know it was really appreciated. The room itself was comfortable even if it was a weird layout (ie bathroom and sink/shower were two different rooms). But it was nothing that was a dealbreaker. My family and I are already talking about visiting Lourdes again and staying at this same hotel. Highly recommend.
Jennifer A — Google review
The location of Hotel Gallia & Londres is fantastic—right alongside the Grotto, so it couldn’t be more convenient. Our room faced the street but was lovely and quiet at night, which was a big plus. Breakfast was good and gave us a good start to the day. The day staff were friendly and welcoming, but the night staff were very abrupt and came across as quite unfriendly. After a long day of travelling, a warmer welcome in the evening would have made a big difference. The WiFi was practically non-existent, and there is no coverage which can be frustrating at times.

Daniella truly stood out during our stay. She treated the needs of guests and the hotel as if they were her own. At one point, the lift wasn’t working, which would have been very difficult for my mum who has mobility issues. Once I told Daniella, she managed to get it sorted within 10 minutes. She was understanding, compassionate, and communicated wonderfully—she really made a difference to our stay. The hotel itself is okay, but there are areas that could be improved. The cleaning wasn’t up to standard—one of the blankets even had someone’s used plaster on it. Also, when I asked to borrow a bowl and spoon, the manager told me I would need to buy them instead from the hotel. Overall, Daniella’s excellent service deserves recognition, but the hotel itself could use more attention to detail.
Kegi P — Google review
This is a great hotel that is a mix of new and old wings. Both wings are served by three lifts but one lift goes up to 5th floor and the other two go up to the sixth floor. The rooms and general area are kept clean. The staff are very polite and helpful but most of breakfast staff lack command of English. The facilities in the room are good but bath very slippery and there’s no bath mat provided. The shower hose is in the bath. There was no separate shower in the room. It was so odd to note the toilet bowl was in separate toilet room but the bidet was positioned in the bathroom next to the bath in another room. On the sixth floor you have to negotiate few steps, up and down, between the two different lifts. The location is excellent next to all the religious sites and facilities.

Travelers BEWARE…..the hotel does not have AC in October and asked us to open the windows/doors. When I approached the hotel front desk manager, she informed me the hotel totally turns off A/C service if the temperature is at a “certain degrees”. The entire hotel had NO VENTILATION and wreaked of the food they were cooking at the restaurant. The room was hot and smelled of mold. BTW, our window/doors in our room led out to a ledge that had rat droppings as the street underneath us was lined with cafes. Definitely not opening those windows/doors. So, our experience was a TERRIBLE one. Despite all of our efforts to try and convince the abrasive manager at the front desk, she did NOTHING to accommodate our concerns that the temperature in our room was 75 degrees and we had paid for an air conditioned hotel room. DO NOT RECOMMEND! We had prepaid our room and have since called our bank. There are many other properties across from the entrance to the Lourdes Grounds.
Marilyn V — Google review
A historical hotel near the Lourdes Basilica. My room have a balcony overlooking the street outside. 5 star rating for the location as it is really close by the basilica and loads of restaurant and stores nearby. Room is a bit old with a very old matress. They should be able to upgrade and clean it a bit. Amenities are just okay. Breakfast is okay, love the patisseries. Receptions are not welcoming and did not explain where the elevator are. Just okay for the location only.

AVOID STAYING AT THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST!!!! Only if I could give a zero star. They don't offer a cleaning service on the weekend so you won't have towels replaced or a room cleaned. No one told me that and when I arrived in the room late at night I couldn't shower because I used my towles and put it on the floor etc. I am not high maintenance girl or anything and I don't have a high expectation when it comes to 3 star hotels, however at least there should be a basic standard such as decently cleaned room and hygienic environment. The room was dusty and uncleaned. The RECEPTIONIST COULD NOT CARE LESS about their customer service.
Mirin K — Google review
Average hotel on a French highway. Couldn’t book on their website and price at the counter was a little steep. Anyway, very comfy if you’re driving. Room not so big but A/C working properly. Also good breakfast !

This hotel is dirty and unfriendly. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. One towel is provided every two days. They don't even clean the room. It's like a really strange animal cage.
Tnamu J — Google review
Reception lady was on the abrupt side and dismissive when our door had jammed solid due to the frame having been repainted. She also charged us twice for the room insisting she had only taken a holding deposit. Lastly every other kyriad Direct/Campenile we have stayed in provided a bar service, but this was not available. Room felt tired as is often the case with this chain, but was acceptable. Morning staff were much better, engaging and sorted out the problem with the bill proactively.

We stayed in a beautiful room, just like the rest of the hotel — the wooden touches throughout made the space feel warm and cosy. It’s also really well located: close to the town centre, but far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The pool was ideal for unwinding in the afternoon after our cycling routes. Definitely a hotel I’d recommend — and one I’d love to come back to.

I really liked the rooms: very big and cozy with a lot of charging ports and even a smart tv. I am giving “only” 3 out of 5 stars because of the breakfast service. There was a table with “which allergene (eggs, milk, gluten, …) is present in which item. As I don’t eat animal products, this is important to me and per se the idea is very good, so you don’t have to bother and ask all the questions “what does this contain” etc etc, but that table was definitely wrong. According to the table, the crêpes and all the cake were free of eggs and milk (not even traces), but contained gluten. I highly doubt those cakes and crêpes were egg free, so I did not have any. When I asked them to double check they were not able to tell me if the table was correct or not. That can be very dangerous for people with allergies. I hope they fix it.

The big rooms and comfy beds, the abundant top quality linen and cushions, the mountain views and the souind of the nearby Neste d'Aure river are a magical combination. (Translated by Google) Very nice little restaurant in the Leclerc shopping arcade. We were first attracted by the cozy decor, with its subdued lights. The menu offers quite simple but appetizing Thai dishes. We were tempted by an Uluwatu with warung rice (really very good, lots of fresh flavors) and a Pho soup (to be avoided, very bland, no taste). The prices are quite reasonable for the quantity we eat and the good flavors. The staff were very helpful and kind to us. I asked to take away the leftovers, they also very kindly accepted. It's really nice to find such helpful staff, it adds a big plus to the restaurant. We will definitely come back and I also advise you to give it a try 😉 (Original) Petit restaurant très sympathique dans la galerie marchande de Leclerc. Auberge de Castelloubon is a charming restaurant located in the picturesque setting of the snow-covered Pyrenees Mountains. Despite language barriers, visitors enjoyed an incredible meal with regional specialties such as garbure, magret, and gateau a la broche. The menu offers reasonably priced options like local gravlax fish, veal with porcini mushrooms, and delightful desserts. The friendly service and warm welcome from the owner create a homely atmosphere.
Although we don’t speak French we were able to have an incredible meal at this lovely little restaurant nestled in the stunning pastoral setting of the snow covered Pyrenees Mountains. We had the price fixed menu 30Euros - a local gravlax fish course, Veal with porcini mushrooms and a delightful ice cream, peach, raspberry compote for my boyfriend and I had a salad with jambon, a pike fish fillet in a delightful lemon cream and profiteroles with hot chocolate sauce. The coffee was also very good. The restaurant was filled with what I assume are local families and a lovely older couple took a liking to us and the nice man gave me a pat on the shoulder as he left. While walking to our car they honked and waved and I blew them kisses. It was a wonderful 60th celebration for my boyfriend and we highly recommend this place for solid french home cooked local food. Welcomed with humor and good humor, the young man baked a cake in front of us from start to finish. I didn't try the hot version, but here, the cold one... it was killer! And cheaper than the ones you find in town where they're cooked over gas and lifeless. Here, you can actually see it being done, and it's a traditional way of cooking it over a large flame over wood. In short, we loved this moment and we loved eating it! We should buy more 😅😅 (Original) Ayant goûté en ville pour la première fois...je me suis dit Mouais bof...sec et sans intérêt. Outstanding meal in a beautiful setting! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and both a tasting menu and breakfast the next day. This was April earlier this year 2019 and we were the only diners in the restaurant both times, we couldn’t believe how quiet it was, hotel & restaurant, the small team seemed quite enthusiastic to be operating a dinner service. My partner and I would most definitely like to return to the restaurant for another meal.

Here we go again, yet another jewel in the crown of the Madiran region but this time in the village of Madiran itself. Situated on the edge of the village, the Priory is naturally next to the church, both beautiful old French buildings worth a look even if you’re not intending on dining. We chose Le Terroir restaurant one of two eateries at this venue. It was a lovely sunny warm day so we decided to go al fresco on the terrace which at the time of day was in the shade with a lovely breeze to keep us cool. The food was delicious the service was excellent the setting superb! Combined with a reasonably priced bottle of the hotels own wine Domaine Laffont 2017 need I say more? The butcher is only open in the morning, but what a joy to have a local store of this quality. Thank you to them and to Mr. and Mrs. BEAUXIS for offering artisanal quality at more than competitive prices and thus allowing everyone to access 'good food'. We take all our friends there, who leave delighted and with their arms full of food. Remember to order! (Original) Marius et Gwendal sont serviables et adorables. Restaurant is nice and comfortable. Service isn’t very friendly but sharp and polite without any welcoming feel. Food is quite small portions and not as tasty as you could expect for the region. Menu mentions « all main dish served with fries and ratatouille » which seems not to be the case according to the waitress - a little confused here as menu then needs an update and clarification for everyone. Soup served as was mainly like a « bouillon » hence hot water with very few veggie, no effort here, no options for veggie offered at all as it contains meat. Not the evening we wished for but we ve seen worse, not a waste of time but will not be back either. Very average restaurant for tourist.

Pizzeria Da Marco, located on Rue de la Grotte, is a popular spot among locals in Lourdes. It offers more than just a wide variety of pizzas and stays open late into the night. Visitors have praised the friendly staff, efficient service, and delicious traditional Italian food. The hand-made pizzas are particularly noteworthy for their fresh preparation and authentic taste.

Delicious food, nice staff, and, possibly, one of the best restaurants in Lourdes. If you want to eat over there, I suggest that you either make a reservation or go there upon beginning of service. Otherwise, you would have to wait for a table, which is ultimately a sign of the restaurant's success.

I come to Lourdes almost every year and I had dinner at this restaurant for the first time in 2025... The pizza was one of the best I've ever had and after that the dessert was also 5/5. The service is excellent. I come from the Balkans where the food is considered one of the best and most traditional, but Da Marco still surprised me. All praise!

Nestled in the charming ski resort of La Mongie, Le Schuss is a culinary gem that promises to delight your taste buds after an exhilarating day on the slopes. This inviting restaurant stands out for its warm atmosphere and friendly staff, who are known for their quick service even during peak times. Guests rave about the delicious offerings, including a delightful duo platter perfect for cheese lovers and classic entrecôtes that satisfy hearty appetites.
My wife and I have been coming to Le Schuss, just the two of us or with family or friends, since we moved nearby in 2005. I love the restaurant and have had many great lunches there. Raclette, Fondu, and everything else on the menu! However, we booked a table on Christmas day for lunch at midday. The Pistes are less occupied then and many skiers do not go out that day. BUT BUT BUT... After we had our desert I was waiting for my wife when one of the servers was preparing a dessert for a table. I could clearly see him behind the bar from where I sat. He cut a piece of the home made cake, (the same cake that I had chosen for my desert) which he then stuffed in his mouth. He then cut another piece of cake and placed it on the dish below him. He then licked his fingers clean and took another part of the cake in his fingers, broke it in two and again stuffed that in his mouth. The other part went below the shelf and I presume it was on the dessert ordered by someone. The server was dressed in black, he was a bit tubby and had several tattoos including one on the right of his neck. It was a sort of an entwined 5 centimeters image. That is not something that should happen in any restaurant. As you can see I've given it 5 stars but something should be corrected with the server.
Henry B — Google review
We recently dined at Le Schuss, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. We ordered two slabs of beef and a potato tartiflette, and given the price, we expected a lot more in terms of quality. One of the beef slabs was extremely chewy, making it difficult to enjoy. The chips that accompanied the dish were also a letdown—they seemed like they had been reheated multiple times, lacking the crispiness and freshness you would expect. The potato tartiflette was decent but didn't quite make up for the overall disappointment we felt with the meal. Given the typical mountain prices, we were expecting a higher standard of food. Unfortunately, Le Schuss did not meet those expectations, leaving us feeling like we didn't get good value for our money. If you're planning to dine in the area, you might want to consider other options before deciding

Restaurant La Grange offers a cozy and chic dining experience in an old mountain barn, with a warm ambiance and stunning views. The attentive service and options for set menus or à la carte make it a must-visit spot in the area, especially for those seeking delicious food in a picturesque setting.
Came in early January as a party 11. Each plate was left empty (and mine clean, thanks to a swift movement of bread over my plate). The photos I've posted are of my girlfriend's selection. My selection consisted of foie gras (in two ways), filet de bœuf, and apple cake of some sort. Very good. Recommended for anyone and everyone. All the best to the team at La Grange. Thank you for making my experience at St Lary that much better.

Tasty good without any service. The place offers a few menu’s (35/45/52€) it includes starters, main dish and dessert. All plates from “ complete menu” you may choose separately. The place has kids menu. It took us loooong time to choose something, because the menu is only in French language. Spanish translation is written by hand!!!!! 😅 And it’s quite complicated to understand it. We were 8 person so after we chose food for everyone, all food was coming mixed. The waiter doesn’t know who ordered what. Because all dishes was new for us, in the end it was mixed food for everyone. The food is nice presented, big portions and really delicious! We have tried to make reservations by phone written in google maps, but no one replied. The place is not big, so maybe in high season will be difficult to get table without reservations

Best meal we ate in the Pyranees. Every bite delicious and service very friendly despite our limited French. They had three modestly priced 3-course prix fixe meals (30-50 E) and an ala carte menu. There were three of us so we ordered each of the prix fixe menus and shared. The Bigore menu won with the greatest ham with poached eggs first course and the best and most perfectly cooked pork chop I’ve ever had for the second. The duck, lamb; and other courses all equally delicious as were the drinks. Bravo

Stopped here for lunch was expecting the usual fair something and chips. However was not expecting fine dining quality food that is very good value and absolutely delicious. The food is cooked very well, presented well and tastes great. I had the choux pastry dessert and would put this as one of the best puddings I have eaten anywhere and that I includes Michelin star restaurants. Highly recommended. O Piment Rouge is a cozy restaurant that offers traditional Basque specialties in a casual dining room. The ambiance is reminiscent of a bistro, and the menu features regional dishes made with fresh ingredients and prepared in a generous, homestyle manner. Guests can enjoy dishes like carpaccio piquillos with marinated anchovy fillets, Txilindron dagneau with mashed potatoes, duck confit, and duck breast served with fries.
Amazing food and serious professional service by the owners. The price is reasonable and waiting time completely justified by the quality of food, you know they make it to order and not simply reheated in the microwave. We were only in and around Lourdes for 3 days and after having a wonderful first meal we immediately booked dinner for the following night.

I ordered their set menu which had an anchovy appetizer, small squid in linguine, and a chocolate dessert. Squid was cooked in garlic and was very flavorful and tender; the linguine was a bit dry. We spent a week in Lourdes recently and very much enjoyed a dinner at O Piment Rouge. This is a Basque style restaurant situated along Rue de la Grotte. The interior is nicely decorated, there is a fair amount of seating and table spacing is good. I'd recommend making reservations as they were full up on the evening that we dined there. On the occasion, we ordered the Duck Confit (leg) as well as the Duck Breast both served with fries. The confit had crispy skin, succulent and flavourful meat. The duck breast was beautifully grilled at medium-rare with a delightful reddish pink centre. It tasted excellent. Both dishes were worth returning to reorder. House wine and Basque style custard cake served on the evening were worth returning for as well. Overall, this was a great restaurant and meal, one easily worth recommending in Lourdes.
Brad — Google review
We ordered the menu with a soup, tagliatelle with calamari and ice cream. All 3 options were very bad. The soup had no flavor (it tasted like water), the calamari was very chewy with a flavor of burnt garlic and the ice cream tasted old and had crystals of frozen water on it. Really bad experience, I don’t recommend.

Very nice food from dinner set menu of 3 courses. Chef was very understanding in making some dishes without some ingredients for dietary requirements, and even created a new dessert. You can tell that the staff really care about the food they serve. Excellent service and nice environment Highly recommended, booking is required as its small and they do not like to crowd the restaurant.

The french restaurant Alexandra By Le Bon Sens is a romantic place that offers great food. The staff are welcoming and provide an enjoyable atmosphere, making it perfect for dates. The food was fantastic, with my favorite being the casserole (mainly with white beans) and the duck. The tables were set in red lighting which made it very cozy and enjoyable to eat at. This restaurant is definitely worth checking out!
I returned for lunch today, solo, after having dinner last night with a pilgrimage group I am traveling with. Outstanding!! The food, the ambiance, the service both days by Isabelle! Merci, Isabelle. Lunchtime: The pork with vegetables, the chocolate mousse, the red house wine!! I would imagine that Le Bon Sens must have a waiting list during high season and rightfully so. I highly recommend!

had my third lunch here, first in 2013 and 2025 whilst on pilgrimage to Lourdes, in 2019, we didn't have a lunch reservation and didn't get a table, so, upon arrival in Lourdes, we ensured we made a reservation prior to arriving for lunch, same food, same taste, however the set menu no longer offers duck confit as main course and we didn't feel like eating chicken nor trout nor rump steak but having said that 3 Spanish tourists happily gobbled up their set lunch so it must have been good, for us we decided to go alas carte

promised much from arrival, huge portion, but the steak ordered medoum was under cooked and barely hot, the fried were clearly microwaved.

Best restaurant in Lourdes. Menu is always interesting and seasonal. Plates are delivered with great pride and attention to detail and matched with their tastes. Last visit after a hard day in the mountains I had the Talisker dessert, my treat for tired legs and topped it off with a glass of the World's best whisky The Talisker. Keep up the good work guys and hopefully see you soon.

I visited this place in August 2023, and while the setting and atmosphere were beautiful, the service was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we sat down, we felt like we were being treated with the attitude of “we’ll serve you when we want.” Just five minutes after receiving the menu, we were ready to order. Instead of taking our order, the server scolded us and told us to wait. It was frustrating and unwelcoming—especially when another table that arrived after us was served before we were. The food itself was average and didn’t justify the high prices. It's a shame, because the ambiance had so much potential to make it a great dining experience. Unfortunately, the poor service left a lasting negative impression.

My favourite restaurant in Bagneres-de-bigorre. Always a great experience, amazing food and great menu. The food is sublime!! Always highly recommended 👌 👍
Kim P — Google review
Food was very nice, and well presented. I ordered a particular wine but the waiter brought a different one, said they didn't have the one I ordered, told me it was the same thing, and just opened it before I had the chance to say anything! I would have preferred to have been given the option to decline and choose another. Found a hair on my plate - no big deal, but when my wife pointed it out, the chef tried to say it was a turkey hair! I might look stupid, but I know the difference between fine feathers and human hairs. The waiter was very apologetic, though. All in all, the quality of the food was very good, and the wine list decent. We encountered some interesting and (pleasantly) surprising flavours. The restaurant itself is very nice, with friendly service, good quality table settings, and a lovely outdoor area for al fresco dining.

As a tourist who doesn't know French, we found the attitude and atmosphere quite unpleasant. There doesn't seem to be any interest on the part of the waiters in helping us. One of the better meals so far. Magret de canard did not disappoint. A tad overcook (I was told) even though it was “medium rare”, but still super good! Duck breast that tasted like steak. Amazing! This is a very special restaurant. Good, local, well cooked food with quality products. Nothing fancy but fine quality. Outstanding pizzas and ice cream as well. A beautiful outside terrasse with good mountain views rounds off the experience. But the highlight of our frequent visits here this past month has been the team. They get my vote for the hardest working restaurant crew in France. It’s a place where, despite French custom, you should tip generously. In season, when the town is just overrun with tourists and you lack a reservation you just might go hungry for the evening. But be assured there will always be a place for you at La Forge. Why? No reservations accepted here but a table always magically appears after a short wait. And you can have drinks on the terrasse while you wait as well. Very much recommended.

The French restaurant Auberge l'Arrioutou is a great place to eat if you're looking for good country food. They have plenty of it and the staff are very helpful. The surroundings are wonderful, with food cooked on an open fire outside. It's worth a detour!
Can't wait to visit again! Took a day off from hiking and stopped here, great decision! Authentic and homemade meal. Definitely worth getting the menu. Very filling and hearty. Great view of the mountainside as well. Worth the stop! :)

Nothing exceptional, but definitely good. Had a good pizza here. The pizza prices are acceptable taking the location into account. Can’t say anything about the other dishes. Friendly staff.

(Translated by Google) I have eaten at this restaurant many times. The daily specials are very good, they are made by the chef who has very good ideas and very good taste. The dishes on the menu are plentiful and excellent. The meats are quality. The desserts are also very good. I had a great time, I loved this restaurant and if I come back to Piau, I will eat in this restaurant. This is a restaurant to do! The servers are super nice, friendly. The restaurant owner is listening.

Au Bon Accueil is a charming two-star hotel with 10 rooms, all equipped with Wi-Fi. The restaurant offers exceptional and affordable dining experiences, featuring authentic local cuisine and a great selection of wines. The friendly staff provides excellent service, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests to enjoy their meals. With outstanding food presentation and a cozy ambiance, this hidden gem comes highly recommended for those seeking an unforgettable dining experience in Lourdes.
Serendipity led us to this little out-of-the way restaurant. If you’re looking for a Michelin Starred restaurant this isn’t it, but it aught to be! Reservations are necessary as they book up fast. My wife found it on a Google search and used the reservation button to ensure we had a table. Parking is tight as this place is popular. When we arrived we explained we had mad a res online but they didn’t see it because they do not use Google for reservations and alas they were booked up. They were terribly sorry but they made room for us anyway. The waiter was incredibly nice and helped us to make good food decisions on the menu. The food was fantastic! My wife had the duck while I had a lamb shank. We were very happy with our choices and ate as much as we could because it was so good! I highly recommend this place!

We had a really nice 3 course menu for just 30€ each plus a bottle of nice white wine. Super fair prices and nice ambient. For my personal taste and being very cherry picking - the cook used a bit too much butter here and there. But everything was really really nice, tasty and meat and fish super tender! Hidden gem! A place to recommend!

Food amazing real authentic local cuisine. The staff are excellent and the owners are amazing. Some great wines too. You will most likely need to book here, it's been full every time I've been. I would recommend the crepes for dessert, but to be honest everyone's dessert looked mouth watering. Great place

A beautiful restaurant just on the outside of Lourdes. An explosion of flavours and big portions. Thank you and we hope to see you next year.

We came to eat to this restaurant as the rate seemed to be good. The waitress refused to serve us as the restaurant was apparently too full. We looked around and saw 1 table taken. The restaurant was literally empty like the waitress head. Tourists in France don't seem to be welcome.

It's ok. Nothing special. Food and service were fine, but nothing out of the extraordinary. The Terras is not enjoyable as there is a very loud ventilation fan.

Was at Au Al Aquil in July 2016. After almost 11/2 yrs the dining experience is still memorable. The quality of food andservice was superlative. Will definitely fine again, when next time in Lourdes

Great great food. Nice cheese selection for the Raclette, beautiful charcuterie - all farm and artisanal products. Great atmosphere and attentive service, we had a great time with my friend who where discovering the area and it's specialties. Amazing liquor collection as well. Would love to come back if we are in Cauterets again!
