Restaurant
Can Do Cocina is a charming restaurant located in Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom. The warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for a delightful dining experience. Situated in Threntham Estate, it's an ideal spot for a romantic date or gathering with friends. The restaurant offers an impressive tapas menu with a variety of flavorful dishes to choose from.
Visited Can Do Cocina for the first time at the weekend and what a brilliant time we had! We've been meaning to visit for ages but due to covid, we didn't try the takeaway (due to living like 30 mins away) but we finally visited. The food was absolutely stunning! If you love garlic, it's the place to be! Every single dish we had didn't disappoint. Personal recommendations are the garlic and chili flatbread, gambas with tomatoes, chicken pinchos, garlic mushrooms and the patatas (bravas and aioli versions). Between our party we had pretty much everything on the menu and with drinks came to about £33 per person. For the sheer amount of incredible food we had and a few drinks, this was more than reasonable. The staff were friendly and the food arrived very promptly. We can't wait to visit again soon!

We went last year for our anniversary in May and it was superb, if a bit expensive. So we went again this year for Valentines Day and it didn't quiet live up to expectations. No toilet paper in the ladies toilet, twice, no rose or love hearts on the tables, needed to ask for the tapas menu as we were only given the valentines one, wine served in the ice bucket which we had to open ourselves with no napkin around it, served coffee with no biscuits or sugar and we needed to tell the staff how to make a coffee liquor. I'll end on a positive.. the food is amazing, if a bit expensive. Shame because its a really nice restaurant in a good location with ample free parking.

+ The food was tasty, priced well and the portion sizes were fair. + Service was good and the staff were friendly. + Food came out quickly, which is important for tapas. - Some of the seating it questionable with the metal chairs being particularly uncomfortable on the lower back. Coupled with weird cross supports on the tables, you really need to be careful where you sit, especially if you're staying for a little while. Overall a nice dining experience. I will be recommending and eating here again.
Gavin E — Google review
Went for Valentine’s Day. As last time we came it was lovely. Very surprised not a rose or anything inside to celebrate this day. Only something by the entrance which didn’t look very exciting. Food was good, ordered off the main menu. Lots of little tapas dishes which was lovely and delicious. Went to the ladies toilets when I first arrived , only one was open no toilet paper. Told the ladies behind the bar who thanked me . Had to go again before I left approx 1hour 15 minutes still no toilet paper in the ladies. Used the disabled toilet where there was plenty. I did tell them again. There are some young waitresses who were trying their best and very polite and kept checking on us . When we asked for Irish coffee and a tia Maria coffee, they weren’t sure what they were. So we explained. When they arrived they were nice but again we had to ask for sugar and usually you get a small chocolate . It wasn’t busy either. We did leave a tip because the food we ate was good . However they didn’t make any effort except a Valentine menu for £25 per person which my husband didn’t like most things on there. They did give us a shot at the end . I have been to much better places when it comes to special occasions, and the toilets did upset me that they did nothing when first told. We paid £80 with tip and sad that I can’t see me coming back to this place as nothing special.

We went hear when was the old david brasserie and always wanted go since. But its a place that slipped our mind. After walking around trentham gardens this week was one of them moment. We wanted try this place so we booked for the day after. If its in the diary we wont forget. A fee of us went and was amazing the female owner welcomed us, also served us. Very polite and funny, some other places should take note from this we really enjoyed this. We had around 20 tapas plates between us and a variant of food. From breads, albondigas, chorizo and tortilla and more Food was hot, very tasty, and a great place to visit. Will be booking again and not leave it so long next time Thanks again and highly recommend visiting. Plenty of choice for everyone
John C — Google review
Such lovely restaurant, great for a date or to take friends. The restaurant is very pretty inside too. Free parking at threntham estate. Tapas is their main thing, really good variety. Desserts also very nice. First time there but will visit again! The lady serving us was also super nice. Definitely recommend.
Marianabiscoito — Google review
I really really wanted to enjoy it but we were left underwhelmed and uncomfortable. As we were shown to our tables our chairs looked like they were pulled straight from a prison....in fact I think they'd have more comfortable chairs! Solid metal with a thin back which meant you couldn't fit your behind in it not that I'm oversized by any means. Then the food...oh the food. We ordered around £40 worth of tapas.... Flatbread - my partner described it best....she's seen bigger sanitary pads. Mushrooms - bland...no flavor Pork skewers - burnt and no seasoning Calamari - soggy and lack of crunch. No flavor Prawns - excellent. Fresh! Nice sauce. Garlic chicken - again no seasoning. Meh. Chorizo - tasty but little of it. We saw the desert menu and decided to leave it. Thoroughly underwhelmed and if there's anything that the restaurant could take from this would be to change the seats and season the food. Won't be returning.
Shane S — Google review
First time here, lovely food, lovely staff. We had 4 dishes each and found that was the perfect amount. Didn't have room for dessert but didn't feel we needed it. We cam came late on a Sunday and food came out all together very quickly which was great. Will definitely come again.

Bar & grill
The Orange Tree Bar and Grill is a stylish dining spot housed in a Georgian building with a modern glass extension, offering an array of steaks and cocktails. Situated in Stoke-on-Trent, this restaurant has gained acclaim for its attentive staff, welcoming ambiance, and diverse menu options. It's a popular choice for romantic evenings or special celebrations, known particularly for its delectable burgers like the 'dirty burger' featuring blue cheese sauce, jalapenos, and maple bacon.
Our first visit and we were well impressed! Special thank you to Emily and the staff for accommodating the menu for our kids. That's top notch customer service! Love the decor and vibe here. Best of all, the food. Wow! One of the best fish and chips eaten ever. Well done!
B11UP — Google review
Booked a table for my partner’s birthday celebration. Staff is super nice and the food is amazing. We have the onion soup, tempura cauliflower, mixed grill, prawns and bone marrows as sides. The food is amazing and the cocktail is lovely. We ordered the zombie and the dice which you can play with the dice to get the selection of the flavour which is a fantastic snack idea for those who would love to play and struggling to choose❤️.
Chinny T — Google review
Reviewed before, revisited 12 months later and still overrated. Starter went back (belly pork) and £20 for a chicken kebab chucked on a plate with oven chips? Not sure if the chef has wandered but this could be far better. Stoke is a little tough for a finer dining experience, this is… at the end of the day a pub… like I say when it comes to food this is not all that. I think Willow is a tad better but that could improve but is held back by its tiny kitchen! Each to their own. That’s my opinion and that of the 5 guests I took. All felt let down.
Paul S — Google review
Nothing to write home about. Upmarket Cherry Tree Long wait between drink orders. Food was nice enough but you’d expect something with the steak for £28.45 . Paid for accompaniments didn’t arrive until I’d more or less finished my steak . Belly Pork starter at £9.45 wasn’t worth the money either . Recently refurbished so lovely decor etc … suppose you’re paying the extra to look what a nice job the interior designers have made .

We went for a meal out on Father's Day. I've been twice now and it's definitely one of my favourite places to eat at. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food was incredible. You can tell that everyone there definitely have a lot of passion for what they do, as everything was perfectly cooked and presented like a piece of art.

Whilst service was somewhat slow to begin with, it picked up quickly. Food was phenomenal and the atmosphere is lovely. Very comfortable! Little pricy but the quality is there. Diogo was super helpful, and a fab photographer (thank you again) - was a perfect post festival birthday treat.
Laura B — Google review
The place is very lively and the food is very unique and amazing. I think the menu has something for everyone so it’s definitely one of the best restaurants in Stoke on Trent. I got the King Prawns dish and it was very tasty. The food was also served very quickly and the servers were very friendly.

Absolutely marvelous! We took the factory tour, had a “Classic” Tea, then toured the V&A Museum. James and Peter our guides for the tours were outstanding and very knowledgeable. Leanne, who assisted use with our purchases was very helpful, patient with us, knowledgeable regarding shipping options. An unalloyed delight! We spent the entire day, learned a great deal and will be back for a pottery class!
Larry R — Google review
We decided to stop here on our drive home from the Lake District and we’re so glad we did. Totally free to get in, there is a fascinating V&A display showing the history and collections of Wedgwood. We then wandered up to the clay and painting studio, which is a great area to bring kids on a rainy day. They also let us have a look at the factory which was cool. The shop is also really nice, with lovely displays.
Joe B — Google review
Visited the studio for painting some pottery. Staff were so nice and friendly, painted a few pieces all at reasonable prices for each product. You pay for what you paint, rather than just paying to attend which is great. Nice little cafe and factory shop on the campus too.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Pottery Painting at World of Wedgwood Such a lovely place for pottery painting! The prices are very reasonable, and it’s super kid-friendly — perfect for a fun family day out. There’s plenty of parking outside which makes getting there stress-free. You can choose to paint and take your piece home the same day, or leave it to be glazed and pick it up in a few weeks — love the flexibility! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the whole atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a creative, low-pressure activity for all ages!
Tina X — Google review
Every single staff member we encountered was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The guided tour was fascinating and gave great insight into how the beautiful pottery is made. Lunch in the tea room was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. We also did the three-hour pottery lesson – an absolute highlight! Amy, our instructor, was amazing – so patient and encouraging, even though none of us had any experience. We all left with creations that looked like we'd been doing it for years! The whole place was spotless, and the day was perfectly organised from start to finish. Highly recommend – a perfect day out!
Jo-Ann T — Google review
Our second time at World of Wedgwood was nothing short of spectacular! We did the factory tour this time and our guide, Jeff was enthusiastic, humourous and insightful the whole time. If you’re about to pick up pottery as a hobby, this is a place to start, as Jeff briefly briefly covered the basics of pottery making while weaving in the story of Josiah’s Wedgwood visionary jasperware creations. We had the high tea after the tour and it was as good as we remembered. The V&A Wedgwood collection is not to be missed as it contains a fascinating archive of works dating back to the 1700s. For crafty folk, there are pottery classes for learning the basics of throwing simple vessels. We highly recommend the experience!

Lovely service and food. Halal chicken served. Swapped the beef option with chicken. Tried the classic afternoon tea. Good variation of teas. Tried the Avocado Flafel. Thank you liam for the great service.

Wonderful museum, factory and creative studio, where we made our first pots, and pained them. Because not resident in UK, had to ask a favour from them to post it next time when we visite family in UK. The planning was perfect, and we got our precious pots packed safely on the day when we arrived. Really grateful for the patience and being so considerate to help us. We will come back again, make / paint more pots, and hopefully keep improving our technique. 💪🏻💪🏻

This charming restaurant offers an enchanting atmosphere perfect for a romantic evening or a casual meal with friends. We came for my fiancé’s 30th birthday with his parents and had the nicest meal that we have had in ages! The staff were lovely and all wished him a happy birthday and the atmosphere was lovely! Would absolutely come again

We have been coming to the willow for a long time. There has been times when the service has been poor. But it really seems that may have been staffing issues. I wanted to give a big shout out to Frankie. She was attentive, smiley, interactive with us and just downright lovely. It makes all the difference to a dinning experience and I would hope you will give her this feedback. The food was beautiful, we both really enjoyed it and will be back soon.
Tracy B — Google review
Visited Willow restaurant whilst spending the day with friends at Trentham Gardens. We had made a reservation as we wanted to eat lunch. The venue is ideally situated on the complex, with plenty of parking, whatever your vehicle is. Electric charging points are also on the complex. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. The menu was good and covered most dietary tastes and requirements. The decor was good, facilities were clean and the restaurant was well laid out. There are plenty of tables both inside and out. Our food was finally delivered. It was well presented, looked good and tasted delicious. The staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. When the bill finally arrived, service charge had been added, there were only 3 of us. We had one round of drinks, one course of food, so minimal service required. On this occasion, we paid the bill in full. However, service charge should be at the discretion of the customer, not the management, on their experience at that venue. I would return to the Willows again, if I am in the area.

Food was phenomenal, service was great, atmosphere is lovely. For the quality and quantity of food, price is very agreeable. Steak was juicy and flavorful. Would have had a dessert but was completely stuffed. Thank you for the memorable lunch.

Fantastic menu, gorgeous surroundings, attentive staff especially Matt who looked after us really well and his sea bream recommendation was out of this world! Lovely touches for my sister’s birthday - card awaiting her arrival and happy birthday sang with cake and candle.
Samantha G — Google review
Firstly the venue is lovely when a great ambience and stylish decor. The staff were nice enough. The food however was sub-par and not what I'd call value for money (small sizes). I had the double burger which was so very dry with a taste of old oil to it, It tasted like it was reheated. The two stakes we asked for to be bloody and they came well done and the prawn paella lacked seasoning. I'd be ok if one meal was sub-par but not all 4. £96 isn't cheap and I felt the overall experience was pretty underwhelming. Unfortunately it's not a venue that will be getting repeat business from me.
Wayne G — Google review
My friend and I had a lovely lunch. We both opted for a salad one with added sea bass and one with added halloumi. The service was very quick and the food was delicious.

Came in for some food for two this afternoon, the atmosphere was amazing. Smiley, friendly staff behind the bar. Brad served me and was absolutely amazing. Sara brought our food over and did a good job making sure everything was okay for us. Thankyou for a good night guys, we shall be back!

Great welcome from Glen and his wonderful team. Service spot on and food delicious and well presented. Thank you. Highly recommended.
Dean P — Google review
The staff who welcomed us was very nice. He gave us an option where to sit as we have booked. I ordered at the bar and the food was served straight away. My daughter and husband enjoyed their starter which was mozzarella bites and commented it was tasty. I had chicken wings and it was great. For mains, my daughter loved her burger and I liked my pie although I found it a bit sweet for my liking. My husband said the mixed grill was nearly excellent apart from the steak which was a bit over cooked for him. I was asked how the steak was going to be cooked and I said medium rare however it wasn’t. All of it were served hot. For desserts, we had a choc fudge cake which was a little bit dry and an okay sundae. But overall, I can’t fault the service. It was more than we expected.
M R — Google review
Friendly welcome, music not too loud, assistance dog welcomed. Comfortable seating, clean environment, nicely decorated. Quick, hot, tasty food with regular check ins from staff. Great range of menu items available (especially for a Sunday)
Cal H — Google review
Three adults visited for Friday evening meal, we had booked in advance on arrival we were not entirely happy with the table reserved (bar stool type chairs) staff member sorted us a more comfortable table with no fuss. Ordering was fine and they accepted our Blue Light Card with no problems. Food was all very tasty except steak in mixed grill was requested as medium rare and was I would say well done. Other than that a very enjoyable meal and venue.
Simon R — Google review
Staff and service are lovely, but since reopening the drinks have got really expensive. Why on earth am I paying nearly £7 for a pint of Neck Oil in this part of the country? No slight on the management as I think they are doing a great job, but it’s just not economical to visit regularly and there are a lot of similar and cheaper pubs nearby.
Georgie K — Google review
Popped in today for some lunch and a catch up with my Mum, and from the moment we walked in to when we left the service, atmosphere and food was impeccable. The two lads on the bar were very polite and well mannered, as was the manager Glen who we had a chat with when the pudding was brought out to us. The atmosphere was lovely and we both found the restaurant/bar area to be very clean, organised and well cared for. We will definitely be coming back very soon, so make sure the coffee machine is on and ready to go 😊☕️

Themed nights at Hem Heath pub showcase various aspects of its family-oriented establishment and global menu. A customer praised the welcoming atmosphere created by Brayn and Zara, highlighting consistently fantastic food and drinks, especially their popular takeaway pies. While one visitor enjoyed the good food, they admitted to overestimating their appetite. The pub offers ample parking space, although a seating issue requiring some tender loving care was encountered but easily resolved. Affordable prices and friendly service were mentioned positively.
Wow what a change! I absolutely LOVE everything. Food was amazing! We had the ultimate sharer that was so good plenty to share and tasted really nice love the nachos. For mains we had steaks and they came cooked to perfection and we're very tasty. For dessert we had the biscoff cheese cake and fudge cake they were very yummy! There were plenty of TVs around love the pool table and darts and I love the benches! Overall a great experience can't wait to visit again.

The newly rebranded Hem Heath has truly raised the bar for what a modern pub experience should be. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the difference — a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a fresh, stylish look that still holds onto its classic pub charm. The menu is an absolute triumph. Every dish feels crafted with care, combining hearty pub favourites with a touch of creativity. The food is fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour — you can tell the kitchen team takes real pride in what they do. The Sunday roasts are incredible, the burgers are next-level, and even the small plates impress with their attention to detail. The staff deserve special mention — friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help, creating the kind of easygoing vibe that makes you want to linger for “just one more.” Whether you’re dropping in for a relaxed pint, a family meal, or a night out with friends, Hem Heath delivers every time. It’s rare to find a pub that nails both atmosphere and quality food so perfectly, but the new Hem Heath has done just that. If you haven’t been since the rebrand, you’re missing out — this place is fast becoming a local favourite for all the right reasons. > A special shoutout to Elliot — please don’t leave again! And Greene King, you’ve got a winner here, so please keep it just as it is! Highly recommended. Hem Heath is back, and it’s better than ever!

It's great to have the Heam Heath back and it's better than ever. The renovations and relaunching of the pub are absolutely amazing. Between the management, the team members, the interior and the overall vibe of the place... I can happily recommend it to all my friends and family. In the future I no longer have to wonder where to go for a beer and some food after work, the answer is the Hem Heath. Congratulations on the relaunch, it's great to have an pub of this quality right on our doorstep. 🍻

WOW! What a huge difference; I reviewed Hightales 9 months ago and said it wouldn’t last long as they were trying to please everyone all at once. It’s a complete difference and it’s now back to its best. Eliot looks absolutely thrilled to be back home and the team are great. Only thing that was “negative” if you could say that was an undercooked steak by some way but they were quick to rectify, extremely apologetic. Our local is back to being great! Will return soon.

We sat in the dining area but unfortunately the wrong match was on the tv, however when I asked they kindly put the match we wanted to watch on the other tv I the dining area and as we were the only diners in that particular area they even put the sound on for us, thank you so much for being so accommodating. We ordered 2 curries and 2 drinks as it was Wednesday and this was the offer for the day. Curries were very nice and although not huge they were just the right size for the prize. We followed them with puddings which were equally as nice and large portions for the money. Not been to the Cherry Tree for several years but will definitely be back soon.

Went to the cherry tree for a chilled out evening as a couple that doesn't enjoy alcohol. An incredibly pleasant atmosphere, nice cold drinks and one massive ice cream sundae later, it was a fab evening. Even a snooker table and an encouraging atmosphere for playing some card games or chess - smashing service and place for young people 😁

Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a table booked. There was one person only on the bar and a bit on a queue built up when we were ordering food and drinks. The food was ok but nothing to shout about. Had better steaks from other pubs that were better.
Karen R — Google review
Apsolutly disgusting service, I ask a staff member and the manger if they could change my gin for me as the lemonade tasted funny and needed changing. And all they said was you choose that drink that your problem not ours, I was quite upset as I paid for a drink that’s tasted awful and two members of staff and the manger belittled and speaking down to me. I walked back over to my table to collect my things and all 3 of them were talking behind the bar staring at me and I felt very uncomfortable. So I decided to leave I felt very upset and intimated as I am only a 20 year old girl being spoken to by two men and the manager.
Paryss A — Google review
We used to love the cherry tree, we come at least once a week for food and drink here regularly too. But today I was really disappointed. Ordered a mixed grill like always and was missing half my order and it had the smallest pieces of meat on the all the plates brought out (all mixed grills) When I spoke to the waitress about it she offered to change my plate for me, which is fair so I agreed. Only for it too be brought back out just as I had given it over and was told I would be brought another plate out with all the missing items on. I waited 35 minutes to then be told that the manager had refused after I was told they would do it for me. No one had told me this, my partner went too check where my food was and was greeted quite rudely by the 2 women on the bar who argued with him, only to be told he was in the right anyway but now the kitchen has closed and I didn't get the rest of my order. So I basically paid almost £17 for half of a meal. Would also like to mention my partner had his missing food items brought out no Questions asked, we won't come here again. Shame

Me and my partner went here the other day for afternoon tea because my sister in law got us gift vouchers. Because we had the gift vouchers we had to email rather than just book through the website but it was still an easy process and they were quick in response. Overall the afternoon tea was nice enough, they were ready for us on arrival even though we were 15 minutes early, the selection of sandwiches and cakes were nice just not the best I've tasted. I will also point out that I have a nut allergy and alerted them of this when we made the booking and they were very accommodating and made sure nothing on the afternoon tea contained nuts and was prepped in an area free from nuts so that was greatly appreciated. The reasons for the middle of the road review were for the following reasons. On the victoria sponge there was a raspberry and when my partner went to eat hers she noticed mold in the middle of it (see picture). We notified a member of staff and they apologised and told the chef and that was an end of it. It's an easy thing to miss in my opinion but I have to let it be known that we were technically served food with mold. Another downside is that because the afternoon tea is within trentham gardens itself you are forced to pay the entry fee into the gardens. A nice £13 per person. Now the gardens are lovely and well worth going round but on a day like ours when the weather wasn't really good weather for walking round in, its an added expense that you need to be aware of when you're already paying £27.50 each for an afternoon tea. So because of how ok the food was and how ok the service was I'd have to say when you consider we in theory paid over £40 per person for the afternoon tea I expected a bit more. I would suggest to probably avoid going for afternoon tea here and just going for lunch before or after a walk around the gardens.

Went with the family on a very cold day, so the children can play. Lots of variety of things to do at Trentham Gardens. Decided to go for a coffee and the waitress gave us a menu and we sat down outside on a glorious day and told us there was no soup available. Approximately 10 minutes later we realised that nobody was coming to us. We then went to the waitress who was waiting by the door of the café to be told it was not wait on service. Just give your table number when you have paid .Surely as we sat down, she should’ve told us this? The coffee and hot chocolate were lovely. Prices ££ However the young staff need to make people aware of this .

Great evening at Tunes on the Terrace at the Totally Delicious tearooms. Great band and the atmosphere was excellent. Sharing board was very tasty and pretty good value. Good weather no doubt helped but overall a fab event

Booked here for afternoon tea on Mother’s Day. Got to Trentham to find out you also need to buy tickets to get into the gardens as the restaurant is inside the gardens. This wasn’t made clear at time of booking so had to pay additional amount to get into so we could get our afternoon tea. This caused us to be a little late. The service was good. Friendly, helpful staff. The food was great. Great little place to have a meal but just be mindful as well as your meal booking, you also have to buy entry to the gardens
Nikki R — Google review
Lovely place to come for a bite to eat. Friendly, attentive staff. Food was well presented and the garlic and potato soup was delicious. Loved that we could sit indoors with our beagle-who enjoyed her sausages very much! We'll be back again.

Absolutely devastating experience. Father's Day ruined. Went out with my whole who don't get the opportunity to be together often. Ordered our food and drinks and waited 45 minutes to be told the ticket hadn't gone through. Getting the refund took an age and I'm still waiting for it to be confirmed with the bank. It £137 which is a lot for me. Shambles.

It was a pleasure to have breakfast with my daughter here. The decor was amazing and great atmosphere when you walked in. Service was great and was not disappointed with the food at all. Will come here again.

Attended Capello’s for a meal out with a large group of work colleagues. The staff were really friendly and helpful and got all our food out quickly and correctly. All the meals were lovely and everyone really enjoyed the meal. There was great options for the gluten free and vegetarian members of the group. The atmosphere is lovely! Will definitely be returning.

For a chain restaurant it's actually pretty good. The food all seems really freshly prepared and the staff are friendly. My only niggle is I'd prefer table service but it's not really a big thing. I do like their tapas dishes. The decor is pretty funky too.

Fabulous eating place in the centre of town. Fully accessible for my wife's wheelchair and there is an accessible toilet. A wide choice of food to suit all dietary requirements. In our group was a vegetarian, one needing a gluten free diet and one with a nut allergy. Very easy to find meals for us all on the menu but the staff also made doubly sure. My wife and I had the tapas - fabulous and incredible value for money. I would certainly recommend this and other Lounges for the quality of food, price and accessibility.

Visited for my daughters 17th , and it was a very nice evening. Situated in middle of Newcastle high street , we were told no need to order unless groups of 6+ , they were busy but got a table straight away . Really nice place inside , light shades everywhere , dim lights , music , chatter and a really relaxed atmosphere. Great selection of food and drink , I had the 3 for £12 tapas which was delicious. Highly recommended, dogs a welcome aswell

Upon first entering, I thought we were going to regret our decision to eat here as we waited at the door to be seated for quite some time, but no-one came over (someone who looked like the manager, was reapplying make up at the bar and sorting her long, blonde hair whist the others were preparing drinks). We decided after a while to just sit on the sofa until the rest of our party arrived. Once everyone turned up, we were finally shown to our table, and the experience changed dramatically. It was fab! The guy who served us our food and drinks was amazing, nothing we asked was too much! The food was incredible, everyone ate every single bit, even my 8 year old! The only thing I advise is to serve the veggies and humus separate, as not all kids like to mix their food. She LOVES veggies, but was gutted they were violated in such a way 😂 Anyway, thank you for a brilliant evening, we'll be back for sure!

Great pie shop. Great selection of pies that caters for all tastes. Meat, vegetarians and vegans. Good portions and tasty side orders. High quality foods and good value. Also served proper teas in teapots. Friendly staff. Highly recommended place to eat.
David R — Google review
We recently tried a selection of pies and were overall very pleased with the experience. Each one had its own unique flavor profile, and it was fun to compare our favorites. Personally, I absolutely loved the Stilton pie—the rich, tangy cheese was perfectly balanced with the savory filling, making it the standout for me. My partner, on the other hand, really enjoyed the Chicken Tikka pie. It had a lovely depth of flavor, with just the right amount of spice and a creamy, comforting texture that made it really satisfying. The Steak pie, while hearty and well-seasoned, had a noticeably strong onion presence that, for my taste, slightly overpowered the rest of the filling. If you're a big fan of onions, it might be right up your alley, but it wasn’t quite to my liking. Overall, though, the quality of the pies was excellent, and we’d definitely try more from the range in the future.

Stopped off here on a rainy day on my own. Very quick table service, I had the moo and blue- it was delicious, lovely thick gravy and creamy mash. Reasonable price and decent portions. Would definitely recommend! You can even take a pie home to cook at home!

Great little place for a decent pie with mash and peas. Not massive portions, but big enough to fill a hole. Very quick service too. Pie and mash starts at a tenner then you can add more if you like.

We both decided to try the 'Big Cheese' pie with mash, garden peas + gravy. This pie was absolutely delicious - a great blend of flavours! We have always found the staff at the Trentham venue to be very pleasant. Today, the staff on duty were exceptional, hence I decided to write this review. Ethan, our server, was very welcoming + attentive. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Food was lovely and was served quick. However, the blonde lady who was on the front of house, has no manners or social cues. When I first walked in, I asked if we could sit inside and she was too busy speaking to another staff member. When my partner went to order food and I was sat down, she continued to stare at me the whole time, for what reason I have no idea. Poor customer service on her part. Important to add, I saw another review mention her as being rude so this is clearly a common occurrence.

Really enjoyed the food. The giant scone was bigger than my palm. It was probably the best I have had in the UK with proper clotted cream. Bravo.

Not the cheapest place around for a breakfast, but nice all the same. The atmosphere is great though, seeing all the retro stuff everywhere - it's well cool. So if you are in Newcastle and fancy a bite to eat, with different surroundings, then it's worth trying out. Along with your normal breakfast, they serve a slimming world breakfast (which is basically an omelette), but this comes at a cost.. But if you have a loved one that likes to diet every now and again, then it's a good move and worth it to keep them happy, while you tuck into your fry up.

Located in Stoke-on-Trent, the QUARTER at Potbank offers a trendy Mexican restaurant with a spacious outdoor area and a warehouse vibe. The Potbank Aparthotel provides 21 guestrooms with kitchenettes and complimentary wireless internet access. The hotel is centrally located, offering easy access to attractions like Trentham Gardens, Stoke Minster, and the Peak District National Park.
We held a baby shower at the Potbank this weekend, and booked out a room at the venue for 4 hours. It was perfect! The room itself is technically already decorated so you don’t have to worry about whether or not it will look good, we just added a few extra touches but you definitely don’t need to. Around 2 hours in we had afternoon tea for around 16 people, the service was super quick and the staff were so helpful. If I had to recommend anywhere to go, it would be here!

Visit for a birthday meal, service was excellent throughout, the araa we were in was quite sparsely decorated (no soft furnishings) so noise from ordinary conversations became very loud and made chatting quite difficult. Food in the main was excellent decent sized portions and well cooked but did find the ham in my mixed grill to be really much too heavily salted

Visitors can explore diverse exhibits that range from fine art to social history, all while enjoying the recently revamped galleries that enhance the overall experience. One highlight includes Mrs.
My children and I really enjoyed the Brampton Museum. I loved the Museum, as I enjoy them personally. My kids loved the sandpit outside and the play area. The little cafe outside was affordable and nice too. Well maintained, clean and friendly staff I'd be happy to go again.

Excellent museum in a lovely building with plenty of interesting items on display from the local area and information about historical local figures. Something for all ages. My 3 year old granddaughter enjoyed the Victorian street and loved the kitchen range. Friendly staff on hand. It's free but deserves a donation. Cafe and little shop on site. Outside there's an aviary, sandpit, gardens and childrens park. Plenty of available parking.

Fabulous find! I was in the are and at a loose end and stumbled upon The Brampton Museum. Inside there's lots of local history, a well curated art gallery with an interesting mix of pieces, and a nostalgia section full of toys and games from various different eras. There's also a Victorian street with lots of recreated shop fronts, you can peer inside and look at the ephemera. I was most fascinated by the doctors surgery and all the tools and equipment inside. After the museum and gallery I had a bite to eat at the vintage tea room inside the building. The food was great, the service was excellent and I'd thoroughly recommend visiting for a great way to spend a couple of hours.

What a fantastic museum! Great exhibits, excellent food and cuppa from the cafe, but mostly what a thriving, friendly, reaching-out place. We went for the Black Victorians afternoon and there was so much happening that we could get involved with. Spent a very happy hour making a collage. (Why don't adults get to do this sort of thing more often?) Highly recommended and I will definitely be visiting again, even though I live an hour away in Shropshire.
Alison U — Google review
IAM sure the museum is good but oh how disappointing when one has traveled the cafe is cash only . The cafe lost a sale of two lunches and resulted in disappointed customers. In this day and age it is astonishing and poor business sense. It reflects badly on the museum. And scrabbling around for the car for £2.50 that doesn't suffice for a cup of tea. Both museum and franchise officer need to reflect upon this poor service. That said the food looked good and staff were pleasant.

I was visiting Newcastle-under-Lyme for the day and, with time to kill, looked in at the Brampton Museum and Gallery. The building itself is charming. The staff are polite and helpful. However, in every other respect, this visit was disappointing. This is a museum from yesteryear with too many dusty looking cabinets full of non contextualised items and too few interactive displays. The exhibition 'The Borough in 80 Objects' purported to tell Newcastle-under-Lyme's story through a series of items on display. It may have done so, but only if you were prepared to bend down and read the many display cards positioned far below one's eyeline with a typeface too small to make reading easy.

Went on May 13th 2025 for my 65th Birthday. Really enjoyed the afternoon tea for myself, husband & three daughters. Everything about the day there was fantastic with endless tea to wash down the gorgeous sarnies & cakes all made to perfection. The service was excellent as was the decor and crockery. My family used to work for Wedgewood so wanted to experience the Wedgewood brand & equality. Thank you Liam & the staff for making my day.

The tearoom is pleasant , very light with colourful posters and a fun dragon made with plates and cups. My friend and I had each a cream tea. The teas were Ok but we were surprised to find no bags or tea leaves in the tea pot in order to make our tea stronger. We had very tasty and warm scones with cream - as for the jam, we think, it was strawberry(?). Now, an important point, for a place like Wedgwood with such an international reputation , it would be good to have the cream tea set ( plates , cups, teapot, sugar bowl ) matching for a better harmony on the table. I made a passing remark to the young man when paying but there was no reaction or acknowledgement.

We love visiting the Wedgwood Tea Room as part of our trips to immerse ourselves in the beauty and craftsmanship of the gorgeous pottery. We had house tea and homemade cake at Wedgwood. I was hoping to enjoy the tea in luxury tableware, but it turned out to be outlet items, which was a bit disappointing. But the tea and cake were tasty, and the atmosphere was lovely.

Unfortunately we visited for breakfast this morning and it was terrible from start to finish. We waited to be seated for quite a while, a few staff made eye contact with us and chose to ignore us. We watched a waitress walk up to the plate and sneeze all over the food, at this point I wish we’d walked out. A friendly lady eventually came and did apologise for the wait and seated us. We sat down, ordered drinks and then waited again. People that came in after us were receiving their food and drinks long before we did. We ordered our food which was actually delivered very fast, maybe a little too fast! My wife’s meal was wrong, we struggled to get anyone’s attention to let them know so I had to walk around the restaurant to let someone know. Again the same lady apologised and said it would be changed. I sat down to eat my breakfast alone and it was cold. We went to find the same waitress again and said not to worry about the replacement meal now as we no longer wanted to eat in the restaurant. She was very apologetic and said no problem you can leave. The restaurant was not busy when we visited but it seemed to be chaos. One thing I would like to point out, there was a male waiter, walking round doing his best to avoid customers with an air pod in listening to music?! Surely staff are there to work and create a good experience for customers, it seemed very odd

It's disappointing to see how far the standards have declined. This place used to be a favourite, but our recent take out experience was underwhelming and miserable with a long wait for food adding to the frustration. My £15 pizza was just about edible, wouldn't fill a child up and lacking in flavour. My partner’s burger was equally poor, resembling a cheap ready meal with stale bread and limp salad. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but for the price charged, the quality and attention to detail was miles away from usual standards. Supermarket ready meals would have been a better option. Never again I'm afraid.

Met at the door and shown straight to our table. We were asked if we had any allergies and sat down. Drinks order was taken relatively quickly. No issues with drinks. Food order taken promptly. Food arrived and was well presented and correct. All Food was hot and tasted really good. Thank you for a great meal for my step daughters birthday.

4/8/25 Fantastic return visit this evening with my son . Excellent customer service. All the food was exceptionally well presented and prepared. Thoroughly enjoyed my starter of frankies meatballs. Mine and my sons main meal we enjoyed wich was pizza, again top marks . The dessert was the chocolate brownie sundae. Exceptional service all round. Highly recommend for all occasions.

Visited here after spending the day at Trentham Gardens. Bonus to find it was dog friendly! The staff were very friendly and efficient, restaurant was clean and well organised and the food was served quickly and was delicious 10/10

Me and my family visited on the 31st of july at 7:30, during our visit two members of staff shone above the rest. These being Ozzy and Saskia. Both made us feel beyond welcome and made our visit very memorable. I can’t thank them enough, both are a real credit to the venue and deserve the recognition :) (the mac and cheese was one of the best i’ve had too)

A really warm friendly atmosphere when we arrived. Harriet our server went out of her way to accommodate us due to us having a 3 month old baby with us. She was polite and very attentive. The food was excellent as always and there wasn’t a long wait for anything. On the whole a very pleasant evening as it always is. I can’t fault the staff at the poachers cottage. Excellent in all areas. Thank you

We visited for dinner Sunday evening, having visited the Monkey Forest and were staying at the premier inn. Usual good service, same menu you find in all harvesters, so plenty to choose from, quick service, salad bar available, tasty food. No issues.
Fay H — Google review
Absolutely love the new menu. Lovely to see a lot of new main meals on there. The salad bar as always was great. Ordered the wing ‘n’ wave combo. This was a half rotisserie chicken which as always a firm favourite of mine, it was juicy and delicious. An 8oz rump steak .. taste was lovely however there was a fair amount of gristle in it. 3 tempura king prawns… which in all honesty were really disappointing, no prawn whatsoever in the batter. The meal did not need the prawns and Harvester would be better off removing them from the menu completely. The only winner there is the supplier for being able to sell them to a large pub chain and make some money. Value for money as always. We had a lovely server very warm , friendly and welcoming Harriet, she was able to answer any questions we had and provided a first class speedy service.
Michelle G — Google review
I ordered the tandoori skewered chicken, and the attached photo shows how it was served. The portion of chicken and vegetables was less than half of what was indicated on the menu. One piece of chicken was already separated from the skewer. The food was served at room temperature and was rather dry. Perhaps all of these unexpected things were the restaurant’s way of helping me finish it quickly—thank you very much. Having said that, apart from the food quality, the restaurant staff were very kind and friendly, and the salad was also good.

Food was lovely and so was our server Nieve, she was completely by herself with a busy section. Other staff member were telling her jobs that needed to be done whilst they stood in the corner not helping. Credit to her for staying calm and still offering us an amazing experience
JF B — Google review
We normally go to the harvester and have a great experience. Tonight was very different. We arrived just after 5pm, with two young children (8&1) to a very quiet restaurant. They have had to wait almost 3 hours for full meals and desserts to arrive at the table. The food was ok this evening however, the service was terrible. Server was asked on several occasions for different things for the family, these had to be chased up on 2/3 occasions, plates from main meal were on the table for over 30 minutes waiting to be collected. Waited for menus, waiting for food. Will not be returning in a hurry. Very disappointed with this harvester experience. Also, requested by the Server Abby to give a 5 star review, 1 parent had left after 2 hours as the 1 year old was fractious. She was lucky I was not there was she asked or I would have laughed in her face at her thinking the service was worthy of a 5 star!

Harvester has truly upped its game! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The recent renovations have given the place a fresh, modern feel while still maintaining that classic Harvester charm. It's the perfect spot for a casual meal with family or a relaxed dinner with friends. The star of the show, as always, is the unlimited salad bar. Fresh, crisp, and with a wide variety of options, it's a meal in itself! But don't stop there – the grilled dishes are cooked to perfection, and the new menu additions are packed with flavor. The staff are friendly and attentive, making sure you have everything you need for a great dining experience. We were served by Harriet, who was truly amazing! Such a wonderful person and served us fantastically. Overall, Harvester offers fantastic value for money without compromising on quality or taste. It's a reliable choice for a satisfying and enjoyable meal, and the improvements they've made recently make it even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tasty and affordable dining experience!

We normally use the Harvester by the football ground but as Stoke were playing at home we decided to come to this one. My scampi with mushy peas or should rephrase that mushy PEA looked like WW2 rations. The staff were miserable, no three minute come to your table to see if your food is ok, nothing. When the plates were collected I mentioned this to the staff member and no expression, no sorry, no sweat FA. Won’t be back to this establishment any time soon unless it gets taken over by McDonalds or KFC.

If you're on the lookout for a delightful dining experience, Rotisserie Trentham is definitely worth a visit. Known for its top-notch food, this eatery serves up incredibly tender beef baps that practically melt in your mouth. A fantastic perk is their gluten-free options, ensuring everyone can enjoy a meal here. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home.
Great place to visit for food and drink. Very friendly staff. I had the big breakfast and it was lovely. It takes some eating. Will visit again ✅

£6.45 pound for this, I mean, I know it said 3 items, but for the price, 2 sausage and 2 hash browns, not a sausage and hash brown cut in half, the food was tasty, but for the price, absolutely shocking, if it was half the price I'd understand, but when you can get a full English for around that price at some places, I wouldn't recommend getting a breakfast wrap.
Simon M — Google review
Hmmm. Hard to discover the prices. The staff were pleasant. I ordered the 'Pork Baguette' option and received pork on a small, soft finger roll. The sides are further along the counter. I chose the stuffing which stuck like paste to the serving spoon. The apple sauce was easier to dispense. I also had a small side of chips. Very disappointed with the meal. The chips were very good and a good size portion. However the rest was so BLAND! No distinctive taste from any of it. I wouldn't return.

July 23 3 star ⭐️ for breakfast We went on a Sunday . It opens at 10 am . Very friendly staff. Breakfast not as good as other meals we have had here. Cheap sausage that are deep fried , cheap ketchup, bacon thin . Food very presentable but not the best quality. We paid £27 for two breakfasts and a coffee each . Prefer the lunchtime menu . Still worth a visit very friendly staff. July 22 4star review Choice of different meats to have a meat bap. Cater for vegan and vegetarian. Food was lovely however , when there is a group which we were. By the time you have got your drinks the food is only lukewarm. They need a better system which is quicker or serve the drinks first . Yes would go back but not in a group .

4 of us bought the 'Seniors Specials'. Looked delicious. Until we sat down to eat. The beef was red and tough. The additional supplements were cold, the fries, the gravy, the mustard gravy, the fried onions, made the eating less than desirable. Service was good, meal was less than expected. I cannot recommend anyone to waste their money at this venue. Not what it appeared to be. Quality??? ☆☆ for service. But I can't eat service.
Stan — Google review
Sign said one price and I asked for what was on the sign for 4 people, 3 pork baps, 1 turkey bap, salad, chips, cold drinks and instead of costing £40 it rang up on the till at £65, fair play to the woman behind the counter, she questioned this and reduced the price to £50 which was still very overpriced for what it was and far from the £40 it should have cost, whole experience was very disappointing, stressful getting the order and meals were a let down, will not be returning to this place at all. To avoid being disappointed its probably best to avoid it and go somewhere else.
Andrew K — Google review
Absolutely shocking. Baguette the size of a pinky finger for £9.95. I would highly recommend to never ever come to this place
Jack M — Google review
My friends and I had decided to eat here after looking around at what was available. We all ordered something slightly different and all paid separately, the gentleman that served us was polite and pleasant. The food was questionable considering the combine cost of our dishes were around £30. The beef was bland and well done, it didn't seem as though the meat was seasoned at all, the stuffing was tasteless and obviously just poured from packed to display, the onions were also bland which is mind boggling as onions are used in food to enhance taste. My friends had also said the same about there's, though apparently the pork wasn't too bad.

Restaurant
Anasma Greek Eatery, located at the Trentham Estate in Staffordshire, has quickly gained popularity since its recent opening. Visitors have praised the delicious food and great service, even during busy times like Valentine's Day. The family-owned restaurant offers authentic Greek cuisine, including mouthwatering feta cheese in filo, juicy chicken skewers, and unique gigantes with a special curry twist. The extensive menu features traditional Greek dishes that are hard to find elsewhere.
I would happily drive there for 2h 30 just to eat at this amazing restaurant with such a beautiful atmosphere and amazing staff service... and the food .. was divine... same goes for cakes and treats...It's a place that you must to visit if your are in the area! My daughter chose her birthday cakes from there and we can tell that everything was soooo good! We've been so happy to find such a place so far away from home where both our hearts and stomach to be satisfied❤️

Only eaten here once so far, and ordered it for delivery, but it was SO good. It came SO fast, we were surprised how fast the food arrived. The chicken gyros were so good (order extra tzatziki!). And as a lover of tzatziki and gyros, the tzatziki sauce was fantastic. We will definitely be ordering from here again! (photos aren't great cause we were starving and I took super quick photos)

We had heard a lot of positive reviews about this restaurant and are big fans of holidaying in Greece. It did not disappoint, the food was amazing and the portions are huge. The staff were attentive and the vibe was good on a Friday evening. The desserts are delicious, even though we were full we boxed them up and brought some home as they were to tempting. I highly recommend you book 😊

Thankfully we had booked as it was lunchtime and it was really busy so the atmosphere was really good. Staff were extremely friendly and the service was great and considering they were busy service was really quick as well. The food was outstanding and all of our group really enjoyed it and will definitely be returning to sample more dishes as well as bringing other friends and family.

Really enjoyed it here! Having been to Greece countless times, I can confirm this place serves up proper, traditional Greek food. The portions are big, and the prices are really reasonable. The menu had so many delicious options, it was tough to choose! Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Wow, what a lovely meal we had here today. The service was great and the food is the best in Stoke! We had chicken wraps or gyros, halloumi gyros 🥙 A kids meal which came with a chicken skewer fries and salad. The chicken was beautifully cooked, not dry. The chips are awesome. They also sell lots of lovely looking cakes, on this occasion we didn’t try but would definitely try next time. Well worth a visit. Lovely and clean too. Photo is of loaded fries with chicken. The olives were very salty.

Fish and chips takeaway
Fast food restaurant
Costa's Catch Of The Day is a popular fish and chips takeaway known for its delicious and flavorful offerings. While some customers have mentioned that the batter can be a bit too thick, overall, the fish is well-prepared and enjoyable. It would be nice to see more fish in comparison to the amount of batter used. The chips are tasty and the mushy peas are also good. The staff provides excellent service, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Costa's absolutely nailed it tonight, being away on business, I was trying to decide on what to have for tea tonight. I stopped at Aldi close by and thier signage caught my attention as well as it seemed to be very well attended by happy customers I decided to go in and ended up ordering a double burger and chips which only cost £8 I realised these guys wanted to make a difference and noticed that they put your order in a box and if it was a large order they would put it in a bag with great branding on both box and bag On opening my very much looked forward to burger and chips, they have even placed a branded parchment paper under the burger and chips ( see images/) Thier attention to detail was exceptional and I might add, the guy who was serving me kept me informed how long it was going to take for my order

I would highly recommend the fish from here. The chips were average but the fish was very very good.

NEVER thought I would be writing this as EVERY other time its always been BANG ON but here goes Tonights Tea at 6:50pm has been a massive let down ordered 3 meals in total; Let's start with my doner kebab asked for cheese on it which I paid extra for got a couple of sprinkles which will be seen in the photo hardly any meat in my kebab and wasn't wrapped properly which was left on the side whilst waiting for a fishcake. Ordered fish, chips and mushy peas usually comes in a box all together but tonight it was all seperate which is unusual but can live with that. Again fishcake, chips & mushy peas ALL seperate. All left in the cold whilst waiting for fishcake! Got home usually still piping hot but tonight it was pretty much cold! Everybody else was bagged up, ours not.. never even asked if we wanted it in a bag! Let's be real here as much as I'm disappointed the guy who served was clearly new and didnt have a clue! Blews him. But because there was a few people waiting but getting served he didn't have a clue what he was doing! When I complained everybody was just looking at each other blank as hell! Service was absolutely terrible tonight, really let down! All staff was piling over each other but still serving when there was a que still waiting for their food that they had paid for! We have a chippy from here every month since opening NEVER had any problems but tonight was absolutely shocking! The kebab mainly should have been redone when I mentioned it but no everyone just looking at each other blankly! Shockingly cold food and unhappy with kebab! 25quid for unsatisfied food. Also would like to point out I ordered them as meals but still seperate! Strange! Finally left the shop at 7:15 (was served pretty quick tbh as the que wasn't that long but disappointed to say the least) Will not let me upload a photo, why? Idk.

Went for fish n chips at prime time today, Friday 6pm. Shop was busy but plenty of staff on, all busy and working hard. Queue moved quickly - twas like a well oiled machine! Cook was in charge and instructing staff. I ordered haddock on entry and it was ready for me by the time I got to the till. Fabulous fish and chips as usual! Flaky fish, crispy batter - delicious. And lovely chips. Decent portion. Really great chippy, wouldn't go anywhere else. Thoroughly recommend!

Never had a a bad takeaway from this place. We were in Cleethorpes a month ago and were treated to "the best fish and chip shop in Cleethorpes" but as I was eating it I thought Costas was better! Keep it up guys, and remember people are more likely to leave a review if they have a negative experience and look how many great reviews they have. Awesome chippy, hope it's around for many more years. Regards, A loyal customer in Trentham.

Not too bad but not the best. 3 stars I gave you because why they gave me sooo big box just for me. And nobody ask me which size I want to buy. This box for 3 medium persons I think :-)but anyway I can't say its very bad place, its medium place for me...

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Really disappointing. I ignored all the bad reviews as my Nephew enjoys the food from here, so thought I’d give it a try. £6.50 for Salt & Pepper Beancurd + £7.50 for half chips/half boiled rice and sauce = daylight robbery! Really low quality food, very salty and I’m sure there were sugar granules on the beancurd. So strange, I couldn’t eat it. £14 straight in the bin. Will stick to my usual lovely Chinese takeaway in Fenton. That’s the last time I listen to my Nephew!

Disgusting and very expensive. £4.30 for 4 spring rolls 4 inches by 3/4 inch. The sort you can buy from a freezer shop or that come with a combo meal. I feel REALY ripped off. Went back in shop and told him I had never ever had a pancake roll as small as a cigar. He couldn't even apologise or offer to refund my money. It also has a dirty smell in the seat area.

Absolutely terrible. Food was disgusting to say the least. We live two minutes away and the food arrived cold and evidently not cooked fresh. We rang to ask why the seaweed was brown, why the chips were stale and why the crispy chilli beef had a sour smell and the answer was ‘that’s how it’s meant to be. I don’t know what to say to you’. Not even an apology. It’s a shame that this place used to be brilliant, and now 3 stars appears too generous.
